- 0:00Speaker 1: Mark Simone's back on seventeen worll.
- 0:11Speaker 2: A lot going on, a lot going on. So we
- 0:14Speaker 2: were talking about this incident in Maine. Ice killed someone.
- 0:19Speaker 2: It looked pretty justified, even witnesses said the guy was
- 0:22Speaker 2: in his car trying to run in to run over
- 0:25Speaker 2: the ice agents. They ordered him to stop, get out
- 0:27Speaker 2: of his car. Instead, he took his car and tried
- 0:30Speaker 2: to basically kill them. So and again witnesses say that
- 0:34Speaker 2: there's no bodycam footage yet revealed, but again you've got
- 0:38Speaker 2: multiple witnesses. It'll become they're trying to make this. Democrats
- 0:43Speaker 2: trying to make this a big story. It's all over
- 0:45Speaker 2: CNN and MSNBC, but they can't seem to get it
- 0:48Speaker 2: to really catch on. It's not big, big news everywhere,
- 0:53Speaker 2: but they're trying to make it so. And in Maine
- 0:55Speaker 2: they're especially trying to make it big news because they
- 0:57Speaker 2: think it'll help them in the elect and to defeat
- 1:02Speaker 2: Susan Collins, the main, longtime main senator. Now she's not
- 1:07Speaker 2: a big Trump supporter, she's not a Trumpie, she's not
- 1:10Speaker 2: a MAGA, she's not a big Ice support it's actually
- 1:13Speaker 2: probably going to help her in the long run. Now,
- 1:15Speaker 2: I don't think they realize it. They're going to play
- 1:17Speaker 2: this up, not realizing in the end she'll benefit fit
- 1:21Speaker 2: from it. I mean, they've got to find themselves a candidate,
- 1:24Speaker 2: and Susan Collins always in the end seems to get
- 1:27Speaker 2: re elected. So things look look pretty good for her.
- 1:33Speaker 2: You know, you got all these main people yelling and
- 1:35Speaker 2: screaming about it, and the.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Question is what did he do with his vehicle? Were
- 1:41Speaker 3: officers threatened? Were the threats rising to the level that
- 1:45Speaker 3: justified deadly force?
- 1:47Speaker 2: Yeah, it looks like they did, and there's witnesses. So
- 1:50Speaker 2: I don't see how they're going to make much out
- 1:52Speaker 2: of that. Governor hokel one year ban on data centers
- 1:57Speaker 2: in New York. All right, these data centers, we need
- 2:01Speaker 2: this for AI. You know, as much as people love AI,
- 2:04Speaker 2: I don't think they realize it uses like a million
- 2:07Speaker 2: times more electricity than regular Internet Google searches. It uses
- 2:11Speaker 2: a ton of electricity, and it takes massive data centers.
- 2:15Speaker 2: And you think, well, that'd be great to have a
- 2:17Speaker 2: big data center in Arn't no, because the problem is
- 2:19Speaker 2: the data center uses up all the electricity in the town,
- 2:23Speaker 2: uses up all the water supply, they're trying to figure
- 2:26Speaker 2: this all out, how they can power these things and
- 2:29Speaker 2: what they can do for water. But in the meantime,
- 2:33Speaker 2: Kathy Hockel one year ban on data centers. That may
- 2:36Speaker 2: not be a bad thing, to take a pause for
- 2:39Speaker 2: a year and figure out if we really want these
- 2:41Speaker 2: or not. Let's say it works out elsewhere, So it's
- 2:45Speaker 2: possible Kathy Hockel actually did a smart thing here. As
- 2:49Speaker 2: they say, even a broken clock is right twice a day,
- 2:53Speaker 2: so it could have happened. There's a new study out
- 2:55Speaker 2: that shows there are a lot of millionaires leaving New York.
- 2:59Speaker 2: In fact, he left New York that we lost eleven
- 3:03Speaker 2: billion dollars in tax revenue in the past year. Eleven
- 3:08Speaker 2: billion lost because of all these millionaires leaving. Now, you
- 3:11Speaker 2: remember the millionaires and zillionaires, they pay all the tax.
- 3:15Speaker 2: The top one percent pays like a forty nine percent
- 3:18Speaker 2: of the tax. The top ten percent pays like ninety
- 3:22Speaker 2: nine percent of it. So you really don't want to
- 3:24Speaker 2: lose them. You're losing tons and tons and tons of revenue.
- 3:28Speaker 2: New York has lost more population to every state than
- 3:32Speaker 2: it has gained from them. When New York loses population,
- 3:36Speaker 2: who benefits the most. Florida and Texas biggest recipients of
- 3:40Speaker 2: ex New Yorkers, many of them very wealthy, so they
- 3:43Speaker 2: provide a lot of tax revenue. Number of millionaires in
- 3:47Speaker 2: New York where it used to be almost thirteen percent,
- 3:50Speaker 2: now it's eight percent. That's a big drop. That's millionaires.
- 3:58Speaker 2: It keeps dropping off. We don't course correct and get
- 4:02Speaker 2: laser focused on keeping these people here. It's not good.
- 4:06Speaker 2: You're going to lose a lot of tax revenue. Also
- 4:09Speaker 2: as a result, you're losing a lot of businesses. The
- 4:11Speaker 2: number of small businesses actually decreased in New York. That's
- 4:14Speaker 2: a very bad thing. The city council speaker, who's pretty good,
- 4:18Speaker 2: Julie Menning, she's pretty common sense, a Democrat, but a
- 4:22Speaker 2: common sense one, has been really really trying to talk
- 4:25Speaker 2: about this the last couple of days. We can't have
- 4:28Speaker 2: less small business now than before. It's just not going
- 4:31Speaker 2: to be a good thing. Top ex Iranian commander Iranian
- 4:37Speaker 2: military leader says that Iran can assassinate Trump any time
- 4:42Speaker 2: they want. They can do it inside the White House
- 4:45Speaker 2: if they want. We are capable, he says. Now this
- 4:49Speaker 2: is tradition in that part of the world where they
- 4:51Speaker 2: just make these ridiculous claims. Remember Sodom Hussein made all
- 4:55Speaker 2: those kind of claims when we went to work, and
- 4:58Speaker 2: the claiming he was going to wipe this out in
- 5:00Speaker 2: two seconds, he could destroy the whole country. They've be
- 5:03Speaker 2: able to make these kind of ridiculous claims. But the Iranians,
- 5:07Speaker 2: this is a former general, he said, the country is
- 5:11Speaker 2: not actually aiming for peace. That's not their aim. We
- 5:15Speaker 2: are not negotiating for peace with Trump and his criminal
- 5:19Speaker 2: aids and the negotiations. We are only seeking to restore
- 5:22Speaker 2: our rights and clarify the accusations made against us by
- 5:27Speaker 2: the United States. As for revenge and retaliation, it's on
- 5:31Speaker 2: the table. Well, and of course the accusations are true.
- 5:34Speaker 2: It's a Ran that was funding and financing and backing
- 5:39Speaker 2: hesbeal Hamas hoodies. They're the biggest sponsor of terrorism all
- 5:44Speaker 2: over the world, no doubt about that from anybody. Hey,
- 5:50Speaker 2: some suburban news. Now you could argue, where's it better
- 5:55Speaker 2: to live right in the middle of a big city
- 5:56Speaker 2: or out in the nice, beautiful Bucolic suburbs. Well, I
- 6:01Speaker 2: don't know. I look at right here in the big city.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Although I spend a lot of time out in the suburbs.
- 6:04Speaker 2: But some people think I would never live in that city.
- 6:08Speaker 2: It's dangerous. I want to be in the suburbs. Now,
- 6:11Speaker 2: let's take Connecticut for instance. You're living in beautiful Connecticut,
- 6:15Speaker 2: grass and trees and so scenic. Look and listen to
- 6:19Speaker 2: this story. Number of bears entering homes increasing at an
- 6:25Speaker 2: alarming rate in Connecticut. That's one thing to be out
- 6:29Speaker 2: in your yard and there's a bear, or you're having
- 6:30Speaker 2: a barbecue and a bear shows up, But they're now
- 6:34Speaker 2: entering homes at an alarming rate Connecticut in just this
- 6:39Speaker 2: year is confirmed thirty one home entries by bears. Now
- 6:44Speaker 2: as frightening as it might be to look out and
- 6:46Speaker 2: see a bear in your yard, are you imagine seeing
- 6:51Speaker 2: a bear in your living room? I don't even know
- 6:54Speaker 2: what are you supposed to do? Just leave your house run.
- 6:57Speaker 2: It's the most frightening thing I've ever heard of. It's
- 7:00Speaker 2: increasing dramatically. Officials say it's because bears are getting more
- 7:07Speaker 2: and more used to people. They're getting more comfortable around people,
- 7:10Speaker 2: they're not afraid of them. They've also come to realize
- 7:14Speaker 2: that where there's people, there's food, there's always food around people.
- 7:18Speaker 2: They've been coming into yards because they go through the
- 7:21Speaker 2: garbage or if you have a barbecue, you know, that
- 7:24Speaker 2: thing just sends out the smell of food in every
- 7:26Speaker 2: direction and attracts bears. And if you have garbage and
- 7:29Speaker 2: it's not you know, all sealed and everything, it attracts
- 7:33Speaker 2: unsecured trash and bird feeders are the two biggest reasons
- 7:38Speaker 2: bears will come to your house. There's other reasons, but
- 7:41Speaker 2: now more and more they're entering homes. They're going through windows,
- 7:45Speaker 2: through screen doors. They will not stop a bear if
- 7:49Speaker 2: they smell food and you know it's in your kitchen,
- 7:52Speaker 2: or they'll smell food. More and more bears entering homes.
- 7:58Speaker 2: There's another reason to live here in the city, not
- 8:01Speaker 2: out in the suburbs. There are I'll tell you one
- 8:05Speaker 2: thing the suburbs have that's better than anything in the city. Supermarkets.
- 8:10Speaker 2: We don't have the greatest supermarkets. You know, they're mostly
- 8:14Speaker 2: just kind of regular old supermarkets. They're small, they're cramped.
- 8:17Speaker 2: It's right in the middle of the New York City.
- 8:20Speaker 2: You got Butterfields. There's two of them in Manhattan. They're
- 8:23Speaker 2: much more, you know, higher end, but even they're not
- 8:27Speaker 2: that big. You go to the suburbs. They got supermarkets
- 8:30Speaker 2: that go for miles. There's Stu Leonards it's ten miles long.
- 8:34Speaker 2: You ever been in a Wegmans in the suburbs. You
- 8:36Speaker 2: couldn't even go up and down. There's like one hundred
- 8:38Speaker 2: and fifty aisles. You know, when you ask somebody where
- 8:40Speaker 2: something is, they don't say, oh, it's Asle three, it's
- 8:43Speaker 2: Aisle one, one hundred and twenty seven. You need a
- 8:46Speaker 2: golf cart this shop there. So that's an advantage of
- 8:49Speaker 2: the suburbs. Hey, the best one is my favorite is
- 8:52Speaker 2: Uncle Giuseppes. They're all over Long Island. There's a couple
- 8:55Speaker 2: in New Jersey Uncle Giuseppes. It's like the Italian Wegmans.
- 9:00Speaker 2: It's unbelievable. If you're ever out in Long Island, wherever
- 9:05Speaker 2: there is, just going to Uncle Giuseppes, you will be
- 9:08Speaker 2: stunned at how great it is. It's absolutely incredible. They're
- 9:11Speaker 2: opening a new one Wheatley Plaza. Was that Greenvale? This
- 9:16Speaker 2: is how big they are. They're opening this new supermarket.
- 9:19Speaker 2: The company wants to hire two hundred and fifty people
- 9:21Speaker 2: for the supermarket. They're actually looking for a thousand team members.
- 9:25Speaker 2: In the next year they're opening, Oh, they're opening a
- 9:27Speaker 2: couple more in New Jersey, Pennsylvania. There should be a
- 9:31Speaker 2: law passed that Uncle Giuseppes has to open in Manhattan
- 9:34Speaker 2: and that's it and Connecticut. But they're really it's an
- 9:39Speaker 2: amazing place. You've ever been to Italy? You know that
- 9:41Speaker 2: looks pretty cool Uncle Giuseppes is that times like twenty thousand,
- 9:47Speaker 2: as long as you travel Long Island. Also, congratulations London Jewelers,
- 9:51Speaker 2: one of the great great Long Island stores. London Jewelers
- 9:54Speaker 2: celebrating their hundredth anniversary. Great people that run. That's Mark
- 9:58Speaker 2: you Dell and his wife Ca and it's like third
- 10:02Speaker 2: generation London Jewelers. They opened a Short Hills mall and
- 10:07Speaker 2: they're all over the place and they're great friends of
- 10:09Speaker 2: iHeart and they're doing just wonderful work. Congratulations on one
- 10:14Speaker 2: hundred years. John Stewart, this guy is crazier and crazier.
- 10:21Speaker 2: So he has Jack Smith on the show. You know,
- 10:24Speaker 2: the bug eyed weirdo with the cape that went after Trump,
- 10:28Speaker 2: the dirty prosecutor who's whenever they need a hit man
- 10:32Speaker 2: to go after some political enemy, they always bring in
- 10:34Speaker 2: Jack Smith. So when it was time to get Trump.
- 10:37Speaker 2: They flew him in from like halfway around the world,
- 10:40Speaker 2: right in Washington, d C. Twenty five hundred guys who
- 10:43Speaker 2: would have been perfect for special counsel, but they went
- 10:46Speaker 2: halfway around the world to get this hitman to come in.
- 10:49Speaker 2: So I don't know why, because that case is long gone,
- 10:53Speaker 2: the document's case at mar A Lago. And it turned
- 10:55Speaker 2: out Jack Smith was lying about everything. Turned out there
- 10:59Speaker 2: weren't a box of classified documents. In the end, all
- 11:02Speaker 2: he found were thirty five If you put him in
- 11:05Speaker 2: a folder, that folder is one inch thick, so it's
- 11:08Speaker 2: one inch of one box. He never made clear that
- 11:11Speaker 2: all the boxes in those pictures were not classified documents.
- 11:14Speaker 2: But John Stewart has the guy on and is drooling
- 11:18Speaker 2: all over him, fawning all over him. I mean Jacksmith
- 11:22Speaker 2: had to wear a bib for this interview. John Stewart
- 11:24Speaker 2: is drooling all over this guy. And then he talked
- 11:26Speaker 2: about he said he was overwhelmed by his manly manness.
- 11:35Speaker 2: I mean, if you're looking for if you were casting
- 11:37Speaker 2: a movie, I knew a manly man look. Would you
- 11:41Speaker 2: bring in Jack Smith, this scrawny, bug eyed weirdo with
- 11:44Speaker 2: the Cape. I don't think so. He's John Stewart fawning
- 11:48Speaker 2: all of him, say, Oh, I see a guy like you.
- 11:50Speaker 2: I just literally want to do shots with you. You
- 11:52Speaker 2: look so manly. Now, this will give you an idea
- 11:56Speaker 2: how warped, how out of touch John Stewart is with reality.
- 12:00Speaker 2: He said, you see this guy and you just want
- 12:02Speaker 2: to go to a Giants game with him? Can you
- 12:04Speaker 2: picture Jack Smith at a Giants game? I don't think so.
- 12:09Speaker 2: I mean, he looks like he's not a football fan,
- 12:11Speaker 2: looks more like the birdwatcher, a stamp collector type of guy. Hey,
- 12:16Speaker 2: Alec Baldwin, they always obnoxious, unpleasant. Alec Baldwin. He and
- 12:25Speaker 2: his wife Hilaria. You know, they've had this Hampton's mansion
- 12:29Speaker 2: for years, this mansion that they've been living in. They've
- 12:34Speaker 2: lived in Manhattan, but they've got this mansion in the
- 12:36Speaker 2: Hamptons selling for about thirty million dollars, but nobody wants it,
- 12:41Speaker 2: so they keep lowering the price. It was thirty million,
- 12:43Speaker 2: it was twenty five million, and then they brought it
- 12:46Speaker 2: down to nineteen million. That's a big drop from thirty million.
- 12:50Speaker 2: And it's been on the market for three years. Nobody
- 12:55Speaker 2: wants it, and they just delisted it. They finally took
- 12:59Speaker 2: it off the market. That's it. It's off the market.
- 13:05Speaker 2: I think it's because of Alec Baldwin. You know how
- 13:07Speaker 2: sometimes the house is great, but people know it's a
- 13:09Speaker 2: haunted house. Nobody wants it. It's known to be haunted.
- 13:12Speaker 2: I think this has kind of this Alec Baldwin stink
- 13:15Speaker 2: all over this house, because if you look at the pictures,
- 13:17Speaker 2: there's even a video tour online, it looks like one
- 13:20Speaker 2: of those big Hampton's mansions. But nobody wants this thing.
- 13:24Speaker 2: It's an amagansett. It's ten thousand square feet, seven bedrooms,
- 13:28Speaker 2: nine bathrooms. It has a wood paneled library, it has
- 13:33Speaker 2: a movie theater, a wine room, a pool, and a spa.
- 13:38Speaker 2: And nobody wants it. And things are sounding like crazy
- 13:40Speaker 2: in the Hamptons. It's a big, big seller's market right now.
- 13:45Speaker 2: So it's on three point two acres, it has a
- 13:47Speaker 2: lot of land. I mean, it's got to be Alec Baldwin.
- 13:51Speaker 2: It looks pretty nice. Houses are sounding like crazy. This
- 13:54Speaker 2: is like four years. Nobody will buy this house. Nobody
- 13:58Speaker 2: even looks at it. They just delisted. It tells you
- 14:00Speaker 2: what even people in the Hampton's think of Alec Baldwin. Anyway,
- 14:06Speaker 2: we'll take some calls next. Hey, we're always uh. This
- 14:08Speaker 2: week we won a lot of new callers, a lot
- 14:10Speaker 2: of new people that haven't called before. We'll take some
- 14:13Speaker 2: calls next. The number is eight hundred three two one
- 14:17Speaker 2: zero seven ten. Is the number eight hundred three two
- 14:20Speaker 2: one zero seven ten. It's the Mark Simone Show Live
- 14:25Speaker 2: from the wr Life Back studio. Well, let's take some calls.
- 14:31Speaker 2: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten. Let's go
- 14:38Speaker 2: to fay in Ramapo. Faye, how you doing?
- 14:42Speaker 4: Okay, okay. I just want to respond to mandanis saying
- 14:48Speaker 4: that Reagan, we are from the government and we are
- 14:50Speaker 4: here to help you. He mocked it. And my family
- 14:55Speaker 4: has a background in Russia and the under communism. The
- 14:59Speaker 4: problem with that, which no one pointed out, and I
- 15:01Speaker 4: think it's very important to point out, is when the
- 15:04Speaker 4: government comes, the government is not an abstract entity, it's people.
- 15:09Speaker 4: When people come from the government and they want to
- 15:11Speaker 4: help you, more than they want to help you, they
- 15:13Speaker 4: want to keep their job. And so anyone who comes
- 15:16Speaker 4: from the government. Their aim and goal is always to
- 15:20Speaker 4: have to help you. So whenever there was a war
- 15:22Speaker 4: on poverty, the war on drugs, education, you name it,
- 15:26Speaker 4: when the government comes, they want to help you, they
- 15:28Speaker 4: want to help themselves, and they want to stay in
- 15:31Speaker 4: all of this as long as possible, and they keep
- 15:33Speaker 4: this thing going on.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Now, I agree, now the government. Reagan was absolutely right
- 15:38Speaker 2: when the government most of the time is there to
- 15:40Speaker 2: collect money from you, and a few times they're just
- 15:42Speaker 2: there to help you. Whatever help they give you will
- 15:46Speaker 2: cost the taxpayers about ten thousand times as much as
- 15:49Speaker 2: if the private sector did it. Let's go to Nick
- 15:53Speaker 2: and Mount Vernon. Nick, how you doing, hey?
- 15:55Speaker 1: Mark Mayor Koch always referred to himself as the liberal
- 15:59Speaker 1: Wood Say, what do you think he would make of Mandami?
- 16:03Speaker 2: Well, I'm kind of glad he didn't lift to see
- 16:05Speaker 2: Mom Donnie.
- 16:06Speaker 1: You know.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Uh, I'm glad Coach isn't around to see Mom Donnie
- 16:11Speaker 2: sitting in his chair. I'm glad Bob Morgenthaw isn't around
- 16:14Speaker 2: to see Alvin Bragg sitting in his chair. They wouldn't
- 16:17Speaker 2: believe it. You know, that's the problem. When you get
- 16:20Speaker 2: let's say you got the greatest mayor ever. Let's see,
- 16:22Speaker 2: you got a Rudy Giuliani and he's the greatest mayor ever.
- 16:26Speaker 1: You know.
- 16:26Speaker 2: The problem is he can clean up the crime and
- 16:28Speaker 2: fix the city and do a great job for eight years,
- 16:31Speaker 2: and then a few years later the Blasio comes along
- 16:35Speaker 2: and puts it right back to where it was, and
- 16:37Speaker 2: then you get a although it's not as bad as
- 16:38Speaker 2: it was before Giuliani, but these Democrats they can undo
- 16:42Speaker 2: a lot of that stuff. Let's go to Stuart, South Carolina. Stuart,
- 16:47Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 16:48Speaker 5: Hey, Mare carrre you. I just want to mention with
- 16:51Speaker 5: the Trump shooting. I was on Reagan security team twice.
- 16:55Speaker 5: I was a swat team, my son's swat team sniper
- 16:58Speaker 5: and there's only about two thousand and the fact they
- 17:01Speaker 5: didn't jet that roof is absolutely unconscionable. I could not
- 17:05Speaker 5: believe that. The Secret Service that I worked with was wonderful.
- 17:08Speaker 5: They were very professional and thorough. Plus you were talking
- 17:12Speaker 5: about those two women who couldn't put their firearms back
- 17:16Speaker 5: in their holes, Sir. They weren't even tall enough to
- 17:19Speaker 5: protect Trump and they left him there. If there was
- 17:21Speaker 5: a second shooter, he was gone. They did nothing. I
- 17:25Speaker 5: was watching this and I was apoplectic. I could not
- 17:29Speaker 5: believe how incompetent they were.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Yeah, so you're local cops when the Secret Service there,
- 17:36Speaker 2: you have to coordinate with them. And was that pretty smooth?
- 17:38Speaker 2: The coordination?
- 17:39Speaker 5: Oh yeah, yeah, it was absolutely wonderful, It really was.
- 17:43Speaker 5: Reagan was absolutely protected. You know, I loved him and
- 17:47Speaker 5: we would have taken a bullet for him in a
- 17:49Speaker 5: heartbeat to save him. The coordination was fantastic.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Apparently in Butler it wasn't so fantastic between the six
- 17:55Speaker 2: Services and the locals. They weren't even on the same
- 17:57Speaker 2: radio frequency. All kinds of problems like that.
- 18:00Speaker 5: So yeah, like I said, it was unconstable that the
- 18:03Speaker 5: fact that the Secret Services had delved into a complete inadequacy.
- 18:08Speaker 5: I could not believe how incompetent they were. Like I said,
- 18:11Speaker 5: you've got to be tall enough to protect the person
- 18:13Speaker 5: you were protecting, and those women were not.
- 18:16Speaker 2: That's a good point, all right, Stuart, great call, Thanks
- 18:18Speaker 2: for calling. Let's go to John in Rockland County. John,
- 18:22Speaker 2: How you doing all right?
- 18:24Speaker 6: Mark?
- 18:24Speaker 1: How you doing? Yes?
- 18:25Speaker 6: I heard you talking about the AI centers. I was
- 18:29Speaker 6: under the impression that you could build them, but you
- 18:32Speaker 6: had to supply your own power. Weren't they talking about
- 18:35Speaker 6: the degenerating stations, the nuclear ones that they have like
- 18:39Speaker 6: in the aircraft carriers. There weren't a whole city.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Yeah, no, Apparently the problem is the people pushing these
- 18:45Speaker 2: data centers were putting out all kinds of stories. You know,
- 18:49Speaker 2: the opposition to them is financed by China who are
- 18:51Speaker 2: trying to stop us in Ai. Well that didn't exactly
- 18:55Speaker 2: pan out to be totally true. Then the other stories
- 18:57Speaker 2: they started spreading around is the aid data centers will
- 19:01Speaker 2: provide all of their own electricity. Well it turned out
- 19:03Speaker 2: not to be so true. There is ways that with
- 19:06Speaker 2: the latest in nuclear technology where you could power it
- 19:10Speaker 2: easily with some nuclear power, but that technology it's not
- 19:14Speaker 2: really ready to go, and these data centers haven't really
- 19:17Speaker 2: got that to the point where they can actually use it.
- 19:20Speaker 2: So it's a ways up. So Hokle actually did the
- 19:23Speaker 2: right thing, just a ban on data centers for a year,
- 19:27Speaker 2: and then we'll see. Let's go to rich in New Jersey.
- 19:30Speaker 2: Rich How you doing?
- 19:32Speaker 7: How are you too quick? One comment on food and
- 19:36Speaker 7: the second a political question. The food one, All right,
- 19:40Speaker 7: I'm always that Patsy's in Harlem on First Avenue, the
- 19:44Speaker 7: original location since nineteen thirty three. What they told me
- 19:48Speaker 7: there is that the other locations just pay for the name.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Oh yeah, Now the real patsy is the originally we're
- 19:53Speaker 2: talking about, not the great restaurant. We're talking about the
- 19:55Speaker 2: pizza place. It's in Harbor.
- 19:57Speaker 7: They do pizza and erect they have pizza, a pizza
- 20:00Speaker 7: a walk up window on the right.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Yeah, but Patsy's in Harlem and.
- 20:04Speaker 7: They have to sit down Italian next to it.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I understand, But most people will go to Patsy's
- 20:08Speaker 2: in Harlem. You're going for the pizza if that's really
- 20:10Speaker 2: what they're known.
- 20:11Speaker 1: For, and very good. And my question, there is.
- 20:14Speaker 2: A chain that brought the rights to the name Patsy.
- 20:19Speaker 2: So if you look all over the place, even in
- 20:21Speaker 2: the suburbs, you'll see a Patsy's and they're using the name,
- 20:24Speaker 2: it's not the one in Harlem. And then of course
- 20:26Speaker 2: there's the Patsy's restaurant on West fifty sixth Street. Now
- 20:31Speaker 2: that's totally different. It has nothing to do with this stuff.
- 20:33Speaker 2: The Patsy's restaurant, that's the restaurant where Frank Sinatra went
- 20:37Speaker 2: all the time, Rush Limbaugh, a million celebrities. That's the landmark, legendary.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Patsy's no connection to the other place. Let's go to
- 20:45Speaker 2: Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent, you've been to Patsy's.
- 20:47Speaker 8: Oh yeah, I love it. I love it. And last
- 20:50Speaker 8: year UK Marra came. It was Marria's daughter. We had
- 20:54Speaker 8: a great time. Stewart from South Carolina is one on
- 20:58Speaker 8: the money because on the Man the Blasio, we changed
- 21:02Speaker 8: the police physical standards. Now you have women who will
- 21:06Speaker 8: fight for four and roly police and I don't know
- 21:11Speaker 8: how these women are even on the force, whereas in
- 21:13Speaker 8: Italy men and women you have to be a certain
- 21:17Speaker 8: minimum height and weight and if you get fat, they
- 21:20Speaker 8: tell you to go on a diet. Liz Peak is
- 21:22Speaker 8: one hundred percent. When she talks about why the rents
- 21:26Speaker 8: are out of control, no joke here in New York City.
- 21:31Speaker 8: But what she did and mention is every time especially
- 21:35Speaker 8: a townhouse, a small three to four family walk up
- 21:39Speaker 8: is flipped, the city sees what it's a previous successed
- 21:44Speaker 8: value and then they look at what you sold the
- 21:47Speaker 8: foot They go, oh, you sold it for double the
- 21:50Speaker 8: price that it was sold the last time. Well, my friend,
- 21:54Speaker 8: we're gonna have to raise your taxes and that goes goes.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Truth is truth for business.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Stilong to the tenants and yeah, well Vincent, we we
- 22:04Speaker 2: gotta go do the news. But great call. Thanks for calling.
- 22:06Speaker 2: When we come back, Bill O'Reilly, he's going to be
- 22:08Speaker 2: with us next on seven to ten WR.
- 22:12Speaker 5: You're ahead of the game just for being here.
- 22:15Speaker 4: He s marks alone on sevent ten WR.
- 22:21Speaker 2: Well, hey, we're gonna talk to Bill O'Reilly in just
- 22:23Speaker 2: a second. We had him, we lost him, we'll get
- 22:28Speaker 2: him back. I think he's in the Hamptons. You know
- 22:30Speaker 2: they got one thing about that is Hampton's. There's no
- 22:33Speaker 2: cell service out there. It is the worst. It's because
- 22:38Speaker 2: nobody allows cell tower out there. Hey, he's with us now.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Bill O'Reilly, of course, the number one TV anchor for decades,
- 22:45Speaker 2: the number one best selling non fiction author on Earth.
- 22:48Speaker 2: You should get his latest book. You can pre order it.
- 22:50Speaker 2: I've been reading it. It's a fabulous book, confronting America.
- 22:55Speaker 2: Watch his new podcast, We'll do It Live in fact,
- 22:58Speaker 2: there's a great episode. You can get everything at Bill
- 23:02Speaker 2: O'Reilly dot com. Just go to his website. Everything is there.
- 23:05Speaker 2: Bill O'Reilly dot com. Bill O'Reilly, how you doing good?
- 23:09Speaker 1: Cindy Adams give me a nice review on Confronting America.
- 23:13Speaker 1: It has to change. The woman is an amazing I
- 23:18Speaker 1: think she's ninety five, isn't She.
- 23:21Speaker 2: Still goes out every night, still running around town at
- 23:25Speaker 2: ninety five. Pretty good.
- 23:27Speaker 1: That's probably why she's ninety five. So but anyway, where
- 23:33Speaker 1: you know, I have to write her a note. It
- 23:34Speaker 1: was a very nice review of Confronting America. Out September fifteenth.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Can pre order around bill O'Reilly dot com. It's gonna
- 23:42Speaker 1: be a big book because it's surprising, you know, and
- 23:45Speaker 1: I give solutions, unlike most politicians and pundits. I say
- 23:51Speaker 1: here's a problem, here's what we have to do to
- 23:53Speaker 1: solve it. And that you don't see that very much anymore.
- 23:57Speaker 2: Yeah, Hey, we were talking about this earlier. The about
- 24:00Speaker 2: ten years ago, the news media went totally corrupt and
- 24:03Speaker 2: totally slanted. I mean it was always a little slant,
- 24:06Speaker 2: but then it just went totally nuts. They just don't
- 24:08Speaker 2: cover anything bad about any Democrat ever, and if there
- 24:12Speaker 2: is something bad, most people don't get to hear about it. Now,
- 24:14Speaker 2: you've been in that business all your life. How had
- 24:16Speaker 2: he ever fixed that?
- 24:19Speaker 1: Um, you can fix it, it's not gonna be quickly. So
- 24:24Speaker 1: it happened because of Trump himself, and it's an interesting evolution.
- 24:31Speaker 1: So in the beginning, the media laughed at Donald Trump,
- 24:35Speaker 1: the apprentice guy and the guy with the hair and
- 24:39Speaker 1: the guy running around. He's got no chance, and Jeff
- 24:42Speaker 1: Bush will kick his bod. And then they had the debate,
- 24:46Speaker 1: and Trump just destroyed the Republican competition, made them look
- 24:52Speaker 1: foolish by running as a populist and saying to the
- 24:56Speaker 1: American people, look, you want to over these guys, they're
- 25:00Speaker 1: not gonna help you. I will. And the public bought
- 25:03Speaker 1: it once they turned. Once the polls started to turn
- 25:08Speaker 1: in Trump's favor, the news media goes, no, we can't
- 25:12Speaker 1: have that, because he's not in anybody's pocket. See that's
- 25:18Speaker 1: the key thing that wor listener, you sept to understand.
- 25:22Speaker 1: The media wants politicians dependent on it. So you've got
- 25:29Speaker 1: to bow down before Fox News or the New York
- 25:34Speaker 1: Times or CNN, and you gotta pretty much do what
- 25:38Speaker 1: they want. And Trump had no interest in doing that
- 25:42Speaker 1: at all. I don't even think he thought about it.
- 25:44Speaker 1: He thought he was gonna get a fair shake. I
- 25:47Speaker 1: told him very early on at there's no way a
- 25:50Speaker 1: guy like you outside the system. He's coming in and
- 25:53Speaker 1: shake things up. He's gonna get a fair play. They're
- 25:57Speaker 1: gonna try to hurt you and your family, and that
- 26:00Speaker 1: what happened.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Yeah, so I guess and in the minds of most
- 26:03Speaker 2: mainstream media they felt Trump was so evil, will do
- 26:06Speaker 2: whatever we have to do to stop them. But then
- 26:08Speaker 2: that's correct, and.
- 26:09Speaker 1: They even printed that. In the New York Times, there
- 26:13Speaker 1: was an article forget the guy's name, but he's been
- 26:16Speaker 1: around a long time. I haven't seen him lately, and
- 26:20Speaker 1: it said, look the journal rules of journalism, and at
- 26:23Speaker 1: one time there were rules. They don't apply to Donald Trump. Okay,
- 26:28Speaker 1: so we're going to just do advocacy and our advocacy
- 26:33Speaker 1: he's bad. You can't vote for him, and we're going
- 26:37Speaker 1: to try to hurt him. And they put it call Fort.
- 26:40Speaker 1: That was the guy's name, Paul Clfort, c O l
- 26:43Speaker 1: fr D. He wrote it in the paper and all
- 26:50Speaker 1: of the others television networks followed that lead, with the
- 26:55Speaker 1: exception of Fox, which said, no, we can make money
- 27:01Speaker 1: liking Trump, so we can make money liking him, so
- 27:06Speaker 1: they're gonna like him. The others said, we can make
- 27:09Speaker 1: money hating him. This is television, So I hate him
- 27:14Speaker 1: and that's how it all involved. Now to unravel all
- 27:17Speaker 1: of that need very strong leadership. You can of the
- 27:21Speaker 1: government involved, because the government's going to try to use
- 27:23Speaker 1: the media for its own purposes, let's be honest. But
- 27:27Speaker 1: you need strong leadership at the top of these media companies.
- 27:31Speaker 1: And unfortunately, most of these people are moneymen. All they
- 27:36Speaker 1: care is profit, profit, profit, profit. That's all they care about.
- 27:40Speaker 1: They don't care about the country. The one thing that's
- 27:43Speaker 1: different now is the social media where I live, okay,
- 27:49Speaker 1: because nobody can control me. I run my own corporations
- 27:53Speaker 1: and we do put forth an honest presentation.
- 27:57Speaker 2: So but they kind of got used to this business
- 28:00Speaker 2: little of being totally slanted totally and they've they used
- 28:03Speaker 2: it on Trump, but now they use it to protect Platner,
- 28:05Speaker 2: they use it to protect mom Donnie. It's too widespread
- 28:08Speaker 2: now to ever stop, isn't it.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Yeah, But I don't know if it if it's hopeless.
- 28:15Speaker 1: But the media as it stands, and that's going to
- 28:18Speaker 1: change now with the Paramount merger and CNN is gonna
- 28:22Speaker 1: they're gonna wipe out all their primetime people. They're gonna
- 28:25Speaker 1: be gone. CBS is not what it used to be
- 28:29Speaker 1: in the sense that they have they have managers going
- 28:35Speaker 1: over every word, every word that these correspondents say because
- 28:40Speaker 1: they knew it was so far out of control. So
- 28:43Speaker 1: I'm not hopeless about it, okay. But the reason the
- 28:47Speaker 1: reason that the left wing press wants to pop up
- 28:53Speaker 1: a guy like Platner in Maine is because they hate Republicans.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Republicans are now attached to Trump the MAGA movement, so
- 29:01Speaker 1: they want Democrats to win all the races, even if
- 29:04Speaker 1: it's Ma'm donnie, they want them to win.
- 29:08Speaker 2: No, Hey, let's talk about Lindsay Graham. You do your podcast,
- 29:13Speaker 2: Will Do It Live? A lot of episodes out now,
- 29:15Speaker 2: great episodes. The Lindsay Graham one was fascinating, a brilliant guy.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Yeah, it was the last extensive interview he did, and
- 29:25Speaker 1: I'm you know, it's just lucky that I got it.
- 29:29Speaker 1: And it's forty five minutes about Iran and the big
- 29:33Speaker 1: picture there and that still has not gone President Trump's way. Iran. Now,
- 29:41Speaker 1: I'm still hoping because it's better for the world if
- 29:43Speaker 1: Iran goes down, and I mean goes down. So I'm
- 29:48Speaker 1: still hoping that that will happen. But Graham laid out
- 29:53Speaker 1: a pretty persuasive case that look, this country for fifty
- 29:57Speaker 1: years has been h sanctioning terrorism, and what hundreds of
- 30:03Speaker 1: thousands of people have been killed, including US service people
- 30:06Speaker 1: in Iran by Iran. I wrote about that and killing
- 30:12Speaker 1: the killers and how in the first administration Trump tracked
- 30:17Speaker 1: down Solamani and they destroyed ices and they being Obama
- 30:22Speaker 1: is part of that. He doesn't get any credit for it,
- 30:24Speaker 1: but Obama was part of that. Obama made mistakes but
- 30:28Speaker 1: rectified and then threw a lot of stuff at these
- 30:32Speaker 1: terrorism but always behind the curtain was Iran. And so
- 30:38Speaker 1: enough's enough, right, you would think that the nuclear weapon thing,
- 30:42Speaker 1: and here's a kicker on this. So I was debating
- 30:46Speaker 1: on television, A bunch of people left these all of
- 30:51Speaker 1: them say, oh, Olan didn't have capacity to build a
- 30:54Speaker 1: nuclear weapon, and I go, how do you know? Every
- 30:59Speaker 1: intelligence report that the United States and Israel have and
- 31:05Speaker 1: NATO as well, says that the Malas are very close
- 31:12Speaker 1: to enriching uranium and building a bomb. Everyone. And now
- 31:16Speaker 1: we find out, okay that the Mulla's admit it. They
- 31:21Speaker 1: admit it, and there are satellite pictures showing the blue
- 31:27Speaker 1: the uranium mines underground rebuilding. Now then you don't hear anything,
- 31:33Speaker 1: then need to hear no silence from the left who
- 31:36Speaker 1: made the erroneous claim in the first place, an absurd claim,
- 31:40Speaker 1: because how would they know. How would you know? There's
- 31:44Speaker 1: nobody in Iran. There's no reporting there. That's why it's
- 31:47Speaker 1: so hard to get information out of there.
- 31:50Speaker 2: Yeah, but you know how Trump works. They like to
- 31:54Speaker 2: say he's got no plan, it's chaos, but you know
- 31:56Speaker 2: Trump will just jump in course correct constantly until he
- 31:59Speaker 2: figures out. In the end it should be okay, shouldn't it.
- 32:04Speaker 1: I don't know. You know, he doesn't want to He
- 32:06Speaker 1: doesn't want to kill civilians, and I would kill I
- 32:10Speaker 1: don't know if we really go after the infrastructure of Iran.
- 32:16Speaker 1: I asked me to be fifty thousand civilians laying in
- 32:19Speaker 1: the street. Yeah. No, he doesn't want that on his resume.
- 32:24Speaker 1: And that's the only thing that's holding up the malas
- 32:29Speaker 1: that he, the president of the United States, has not
- 32:33Speaker 1: gone in to just wreck the Iranian That means you
- 32:38Speaker 1: could make a cell phone call you have a hard
- 32:40Speaker 1: time going to the market to get food. I mean,
- 32:42Speaker 1: you used are devastating that place like the United States
- 32:46Speaker 1: did to Japan and the Allies did to Germany. That's
- 32:52Speaker 1: how you end the conflicts like this. But Trump does
- 32:55Speaker 1: not want to do it. And I'm not criticizing the president.
- 32:58Speaker 1: You've been very honest with me about it. He doesn't
- 33:01Speaker 1: want fifty thousand dead civilians.
- 33:04Speaker 2: Well, I wish we had more time, but we don't.
- 33:06Speaker 2: But Bill O'Reilly's you should get his latest book. It's
- 33:11Speaker 2: a wonderful book. Great review today from Cindy Adams. The
- 33:15Speaker 2: book is called Confronting America. You can order it right now.

- 33:35Speaker 1: I hope I can remember his last by Donald. That
- 33:37Speaker 1: would be Byron Donald, that would be Yeah, that would
- 33:40Speaker 1: be helpful, Aaron Donald. You know, I got Cindy Adams
- 33:45Speaker 1: at ninety five. I'm getting up there too. No, you just.
- 33:50Speaker 2: Doing too many once, you got too many projects going on.
- 33:54Speaker 1: All right, Yeah, we got a lot of stuff, you know,
- 33:56Speaker 1: and I'm looking for a way to cut back. But
- 33:58Speaker 1: every time what was the godfart of the line. Every
- 34:01Speaker 1: time I think I'm out, they pulled me back in. Anyway,
