Now we're back to the body. I'm guessing eyes and ears? Lucas: You guessed it. Today we learn አይን and ጆሮ. Two very useful words. Let's start with አይን. That means 'eye' or 'eyes'. Luna: አይን. Sounds like 'ain'. አይን. Eyes. Lucas: Exactly. Now, 'ear' is ጆሮ. Repeat after me: ጆሮ. Luna: ጆሮ. Sounds like 'joro'. ጆሮ. One ear, two ears? Lucas: Yes, it works for both singular and plural. Now let's add verbs. 'I see' is አየሁ. For example: አየሁ — I see. Luna: አየሁ. That's a bit longer. አየሁ. I see. Lucas: Good. And 'I hear' is ሰማሁ. Say it: ሰማሁ. Luna: ሰማሁ. Sounds like 'sema-hu'. I hear. So if I hear something, I say ሰማሁ. Lucas: Perfect. Now let's put them together. Listen: አይኔ ይታመማል — my eye hurts. And ጆሮዬ ይታመማል — my ear hurts. Luna: Oh, I hope that doesn't happen. But good to know. So አይኔ ይታመማል and ጆሮዬ ይታመማል. Let me try: አይኔ ይታመማል. Lucas: That was great. Now let's do a mini scene. Imagine you're at the doctor. Doctor asks: ምን ችግር አለ? What's the problem? And you point to your eye and say: አይኔ ይታመማል. Luna: አይኔ ይታመማል. My eye hurts. And if it's my ear, ጆሮዬ ይታመማል. Good. Lucas: Let's review all the phrases: አይን, ጆሮ, አየሁ, ሰማሁ, አይኔ ይታመማል, ጆሮዬ ይታመማል. Repeat after me: አይን. Luna: አይን. Lucas: ጆሮ. Luna: ጆሮ. Lucas: አየሁ. Luna: አየሁ. Lucas: ሰማሁ. Luna: ሰማሁ. Lucas: አይኔ ይታመማል. Luna: አይኔ ይታመማል. Lucas: ጆሮዬ ይታመማል. Luna: ጆሮዬ ይታመማል.
