- 1:04Speaker 3: Hello? I'm well, how are you well?
- 1:06Speaker 2: I'm just fantastic excited to recap Potomac because it's like,
- 1:10Speaker 2: every single time I sit down to watch it, I
- 1:13Speaker 2: think to myself, I wonder if I'll be able to
- 1:15Speaker 2: just like relax and watch this for three minutes straight
- 1:19Speaker 2: without having to rush over to my notes and type something.
- 1:22Speaker 2: And it never happens. Because so many amazing things are happening.
- 1:24Speaker 2: I'm like, I have to write this down I have
- 1:26Speaker 2: to write this down. It's just like click click, city
- 1:27Speaker 2: clack clack the entire episode. You know what. Before we
- 1:30Speaker 2: get into the recap, I just want to say, Emily,
- 1:33Speaker 2: we were talking about this great show before we got
- 1:37Speaker 2: before we started recording, and how much we love it.
- 1:41Speaker 4: Okay, So, darlings, if you are looking for a great
- 1:45Speaker 4: scripted show, look no further then Somebody Somewhere on HBO,
- 1:51Speaker 4: which I love, love, love so much.
- 1:53Speaker 3: It's such a great show about friendship.
- 1:55Speaker 4: It's like the most real kind of like it's just
- 2:00Speaker 4: funny and real, and these types.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Of shows like they don't come around very often anymore,
- 2:05Speaker 2: you know, and they're hard to stick around.
- 2:08Speaker 4: Well, because yeah, it's gonna they're taking it off this
- 2:11Speaker 4: I am saving the last episode. It aired Sunday. I'm
- 2:14Speaker 4: gonna watch it tonight. But it's Bridget Everett, who's like
- 2:17Speaker 4: this iconic cabaret performer.
- 2:20Speaker 2: You know her, you guys, because she's always when she's
- 2:23Speaker 2: on watch what Happens Live, like she yes all the
- 2:25Speaker 2: housewives stuff.
- 2:26Speaker 4: Yeah, and then it also stars Jeff Hiller, who Amy
- 2:30Speaker 4: and I both know. But I'm not saying this is
- 2:32Speaker 4: an iconic show because we love Jeff Hiller, and he's
- 2:35Speaker 4: amazing and so well.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Let me make it clear, I've I've met Jeff Hiller,
- 2:39Speaker 2: like we worked. We were auditioning together around the same
- 2:42Speaker 2: time for Like Sketches Sketch TV, like a long time ago.
- 2:46Speaker 2: So I don't keep a touch on them. But he's
- 2:48Speaker 2: a good friend of yours.
- 2:49Speaker 3: Which I was married, I was married to Jeff is
- 2:53Speaker 3: my husband.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Wow, the eminent spring of las.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Jeff Heller.
- 3:03Speaker 4: Jeff got me through a very difficult time, which was
- 3:08Speaker 4: the final season of the Oprah Winfrey Show.
- 3:11Speaker 3: We put it together.
- 3:14Speaker 2: That's hilarious.
- 3:15Speaker 3: Yeah, it's tough. There's a petition to try to keep
- 3:19Speaker 3: it going.
- 3:20Speaker 4: And so I want to tell people to go to
- 3:22Speaker 4: change dot org and look up somebody somewhere and sign
- 3:25Speaker 4: the petition.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Sign the petition. You guys, TV, we need this show especially,
- 3:31Speaker 3: I think.
- 3:31Speaker 2: The world needs the show. Yes, and Lennon Parnhum I
- 3:35Speaker 2: follow her because I love her work, and you know
- 3:38Speaker 2: she directs episodes.
- 3:40Speaker 4: Yep, she directed the one I just watched last night.
- 3:43Speaker 4: I don't know if she directed the finale, but she
- 3:45Speaker 4: directed a ton of these.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Well, she's just so beyond gifted. I mean, that's the
- 3:51Speaker 2: thing about you know, we love our reality television, but
- 3:54Speaker 2: it's very difficult, you know with all the platforms now
- 3:57Speaker 2: for scripted TV and really quality stuff to say around
- 4:00Speaker 2: because of you know, we're all watching ninety Day Fiance
- 4:03Speaker 2: and and good for us, but we need to balance
- 4:05Speaker 2: it out. So if you really love that show, go
- 4:07Speaker 2: to change dot org and sign the petition. Yes, and
- 4:11Speaker 2: so now we welcome you in too, Welcome in the
- 4:15Speaker 2: real house Eves of Jona and let me let me
- 4:18Speaker 2: get some go Go music going here. Yes that's right,
- 4:23Speaker 2: uh huh, yep, yep, yep. This was like such a
- 4:29Speaker 2: great episode that starts like the same kind of cow
- 4:34Speaker 2: bell beat.
- 4:34Speaker 4: As Honky Talk Woman's always like yeah.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Oh yeah, you're right, and Darlington County and also by
- 4:44Speaker 2: Bruce in the street go ahead, did you say me
- 4:47Speaker 2: Darlington County? Yeah, Nana, Nana Darlington. Yes, that should be
- 4:56Speaker 2: my favor show. It should be uh you a kiss
- 5:00Speaker 2: second to put it together of like, I.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Know, that took too long. It took too long.
- 5:05Speaker 2: That's because you're so Bruce infused that you would never
- 5:09Speaker 2: ever go outside of like his stuff and put it
- 5:13Speaker 2: somewhere else. So you had to really combine the two
- 5:16Speaker 2: worlds my brain.
- 5:17Speaker 4: Finally, the left and right side of my brain are
- 5:20Speaker 4: shaking hands. They've come together for the first time ever.
- 5:24Speaker 2: You're like, they're like Arianna Grande and Cynthia Rivo and
- 5:27Speaker 2: all their interviews with their hands held together. I'm so
- 5:31Speaker 2: obsessed with those. Okay, So we are basically picking up
- 5:35Speaker 2: at Wenday White Party, which ended up having such a
- 5:43Speaker 2: beautiful ending with I loved seeing her and her in
- 5:47Speaker 2: laws coming together and like they had tears and they
- 5:51Speaker 2: were saying, I'm cry I got choked up, I'm alived
- 5:55Speaker 2: to go. So it takes a lot.
- 5:58Speaker 3: It ticks a lot, but that family man.
- 6:00Speaker 2: No me, it takes a lot. So there was no
- 6:04Speaker 2: real like crying, but it got me, it did, and
- 6:10Speaker 2: I was so delighted.
- 6:13Speaker 3: I have no heart, and sure it takes a lot.
- 6:17Speaker 2: It does take a lot for you. You know, we'll
- 6:21Speaker 2: both be going to see the Os this Christmas. I'll
- 6:23Speaker 2: need to get my tears back and you need to
- 6:26Speaker 2: get your heart back.
- 6:32Speaker 3: It is our wicked plug.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Well, stay tuned, you guys, because I'm working on a
- 6:37Speaker 2: video right now that is wicked induced, wicked inspired, wicked induced,
- 6:42Speaker 2: wicked inspired. So look for that. Go to my Instagram
- 6:45Speaker 2: meet Amy Phillips. It's going to be up soon. But
- 6:48Speaker 2: I loved it ending like that, and it seems so authentic.
- 6:51Speaker 2: And you know the beginning of it when we saw
- 6:54Speaker 2: them at the party and they weren't really interacting a
- 6:57Speaker 2: lot with the families, and I'll say, you got a
- 6:59Speaker 2: little nervous. But the end photo op and boom, they
- 7:03Speaker 2: were loving each other.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:05Speaker 4: Speaking of was it in Potomac or below Deck last
- 7:09Speaker 4: night that somebody said something was defying gravity?
- 7:14Speaker 2: Oh my god, tie In, No, you're right, something was
- 7:18Speaker 2: defying gravity. Yeah, I think it was Potomac. I think
- 7:22Speaker 2: it was.
- 7:23Speaker 3: Okay, okay, okay, I just heard it. I was like,
- 7:25Speaker 3: oh cool, tie In.
- 7:27Speaker 2: But I don't know. Maybe it was below deck. It
- 7:28Speaker 2: seems like it would be more like below deck because
- 7:30Speaker 2: they're dealing with sales and stuff, so.
- 7:32Speaker 3: I don't know. Well, it's out there, it's out there.
- 7:35Speaker 4: I will finally see wicked now that I've heard the
- 7:38Speaker 4: nineteen thousand plug them something.
- 7:43Speaker 2: But now Mia finally clears up what she meant, because
- 7:46Speaker 2: we had that cliffhanger from last week where she was like,
- 7:49Speaker 2: the fathers of my children can get along and then
- 7:52Speaker 2: Stacy's like, oh, I thought Gordon was the father, and
- 7:55Speaker 2: then MIA's like I've been married before, and we're like, oh,
- 8:00Speaker 2: it's dirty on the edge, it was dirty, and the
- 8:02Speaker 2: producers it was not cool. Yeah, it was uncool.
- 8:08Speaker 3: It was and I thought like, look.
- 8:12Speaker 4: And and nobody I think cares because there's so much
- 8:15Speaker 4: else going on with me, like in terms of the audience.
- 8:18Speaker 3: Right, but had this been in New York, uh huh, Yeah,
- 8:24Speaker 3: you can't keep yanking the rug.
- 8:26Speaker 2: No, But because we had something to bounce back from,
- 8:29Speaker 2: I got I was pissed for a second. I was like,
- 8:31Speaker 2: are you kidding me? And then the next thing I know,
- 8:34Speaker 2: it's like they're firing on all cylinders. So you get
- 8:38Speaker 2: distracted immediately at what they just did to us. Right,
- 8:42Speaker 2: But just so you know, we saw, we felt I.
- 8:46Speaker 3: See you, and we didn't like it. Did I tell
- 8:49Speaker 3: you when it's a good job.
- 8:50Speaker 4: I didn't like this because it was in the promo.
- 8:54Speaker 4: It was a cliffhanger. Thought about it during Thanksgiving.
- 8:57Speaker 2: My Thanksgiving yeah, and nows when you were living your
- 9:03Speaker 2: best Bodega Bay life, You've ruined my vacation. How dare you?
- 9:09Speaker 2: And yet like you didn't even need to do this.
- 9:11Speaker 2: There's enough there. There's these women are they're they're pouring blood.
- 9:18Speaker 2: I mean, I'm you know, Daisy and below deck there
- 9:20Speaker 2: was blood on the cushions. You guys, if you don't
- 9:22Speaker 2: watch that show. But Daisy was like, it's blood. So
- 9:25Speaker 2: I apologize for the crossover, but like, they're they're shedding
- 9:29Speaker 2: blood on this show for us, and you don't need
- 9:31Speaker 2: to give us a dirty little cliffhanger like that. All right,
- 9:34Speaker 2: let's move on. So she's like, yeah, too, are from
- 9:37Speaker 2: Gordon and the oldest is from a previous marriage. Great,
- 9:40Speaker 2: all right, But here's where things got confusing in MIA's
- 9:44Speaker 2: caption from that story that she put up on social
- 9:48Speaker 2: media when they were following the uh, when I look
- 9:53Speaker 2: at you, I see that you're I see an adulterer,
- 9:57Speaker 2: you know, when Gordon said that that that same day,
- 10:00Speaker 2: they went up to the rooftop and they were in
- 10:01Speaker 2: the pool, and MIA's caption was priceless. Basically, I'm, you know, summarizing, priceless.
- 10:07Speaker 2: To see my children's fathers get along. What a joy, right,
- 10:12Speaker 2: And then someone said, but that father of your oldest,
- 10:16Speaker 2: like wasn't there that day or was he like so
- 10:20Speaker 2: what are you referring to? And then Mia kind of
- 10:23Speaker 2: pushes it decide and like it doesn't matter because they
- 10:26Speaker 2: they do get along and they do hang out. It's like,
- 10:28Speaker 2: but what are you saying then in this caption? My
- 10:32Speaker 2: head is spinning from this.
- 10:34Speaker 4: Well, I agree, and the fact that we didn't hang
- 10:39Speaker 4: on that longer was weird.
- 10:41Speaker 2: But again testament to how much blood is being spilled
- 10:43Speaker 2: on their shold we didn't. We could still move on
- 10:47Speaker 2: from that. I can't not acknowledge how confusing that was
- 10:53Speaker 2: because even Giselle's like, we're we're trying to like peel
- 10:57Speaker 2: back the layers here. I think it, well, she says
- 11:00Speaker 2: later when they have that one on one, like, I
- 11:01Speaker 2: think it's fair to say that was confusing that post.
- 11:07Speaker 3: It was confusing. Even Jacqueline was like, this is weird, Jean, I.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Will excuse me.
- 11:14Speaker 3: I was there.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Excuse me, uh, excuse me hello.
- 11:20Speaker 3: But then she did look like a one eighty like
- 11:23Speaker 3: she was just like I was, I have your back,
- 11:27Speaker 3: And also, you're.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Wrong, is this a new thing that we're now at? Okay?
- 11:34Speaker 2: Because she is, I mean a new thing like for
- 11:36Speaker 2: a housewife to do this all the time, where she'll
- 11:39Speaker 2: come in guns blazing, and she's coming. It's like she
- 11:45Speaker 2: does a one eighty. She'll come in either at Mia
- 11:49Speaker 2: for something like I know that that's not the truth,
- 11:51Speaker 2: and I will stand by you for the rest of
- 11:54Speaker 2: your life. It's like, wait, what now, are you coming
- 11:56Speaker 2: at her or are you supporting her? Or She'll be
- 11:58Speaker 2: like I support her.
- 11:59Speaker 3: I was there.
- 12:00Speaker 2: I saw it with my own two eyes. And Mia
- 12:02Speaker 2: is dead wrong for even supporting this. You know. It's
- 12:06Speaker 2: like she, yeah, she comes and goes.
- 12:09Speaker 4: I think Jacqueline, you know, I think she. I think
- 12:13Speaker 4: she's like in love with Mia, because then.
- 12:15Speaker 3: When Mia scolds her when they're walking away.
- 12:19Speaker 4: You know, you can tell that that cut Jacqueline, and
- 12:24Speaker 4: then they are they seem to be on great terms
- 12:29Speaker 4: the next I just think she is is not like
- 12:31Speaker 4: MIA's got something over Jacqueline. I think Jacqueline just like
- 12:35Speaker 4: really loves Mia.
- 12:37Speaker 2: They have a very toxic relate or codependent, toxic relationship
- 12:44Speaker 2: something something like that. I don't want to call it
- 12:46Speaker 2: all toxic. It's just that they are like fambly, so
- 12:50Speaker 2: they're gonna you know, there's a lot of patterns and
- 12:53Speaker 2: they go way way back. I mean, I can't believe
- 12:56Speaker 2: they even bounce back from what we saw on the show.
- 12:58Speaker 2: That was really hard to see. But we'll leave that,
- 13:01Speaker 2: we'll leave that behind. But Jacqueline can I speak? I
- 13:06Speaker 2: was there, Gordon is okay with it, and then he's not, well,
- 13:12Speaker 2: we kind of already know that. We didn't need for
- 13:14Speaker 2: you to say that. And then Wendy is like, I
- 13:18Speaker 2: think what Jacqueline is trying to say is that you're
- 13:20Speaker 2: putting up a facade. And that was interesting because that
- 13:25Speaker 2: obviously lays the groundwork for why, you know, Mia goes
- 13:31Speaker 2: to research and development, probably with Jacqueline all week long
- 13:35Speaker 2: to summon up this takedown of Giselle and her daughter.
- 13:39Speaker 2: You know, right, that was a ridiculous argument, and.
- 13:47Speaker 4: So anyways, actually impressed that Mia held on to that
- 13:50Speaker 4: for so long and still brought it out.
- 13:53Speaker 3: But then it's like, well, then nothing is safe. Like
- 13:57Speaker 3: I thought, Oh, you're just.
- 13:58Speaker 4: Holding on to this nut it for Gizelle, like you're
- 14:01Speaker 4: going to bring it out at some point.
- 14:04Speaker 2: I think she was. I think either either she just
- 14:06Speaker 2: had that in her memory and didn't think twice about it,
- 14:10Speaker 2: and then she was talking with Jacqueline all day, all night,
- 14:14Speaker 2: every day and she's riling herself up, and it's like, well,
- 14:17Speaker 2: she even told me this one time, and then she
- 14:19Speaker 2: was like, see how this doesn't work into her narrative
- 14:22Speaker 2: and then worked herself up into finding this thing that
- 14:25Speaker 2: she heard one time.
- 14:26Speaker 4: I'm realizing too, because Gizelle brought up social media. I
- 14:31Speaker 4: think that that to Mia was like, oh, this opens
- 14:34Speaker 4: the door to how Gizelle presents on social media and
- 14:39Speaker 4: how her kids are one way, and then I actually
- 14:42Speaker 4: know the real story and she's trying to tell me
- 14:44Speaker 4: my family's one way on social media and it's different,
- 14:48Speaker 4: and so I think that's the angle she was going towards,
- 14:51Speaker 4: but it was.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Convoluted. Oh my gosh. And then Gizelle calls her out
- 14:58Speaker 2: by saying like, but you said that you were going
- 15:00Speaker 2: to be pulling back or you know, Ink was going
- 15:02Speaker 2: to be pulling back, and we were telling you maybe
- 15:05Speaker 2: you should pull back. And then MIA's like, well, I
- 15:07Speaker 2: don't have to do that, because I don't have to
- 15:09Speaker 2: do what you suggest, and I heard you, but that's
- 15:11Speaker 2: not what I'm going to do. It's like okay, well fine,
- 15:13Speaker 2: But then I think more emphasis needs to be on
- 15:16Speaker 2: the actual caption than it does the scene. I honestly
- 15:20Speaker 2: don't have a problem with the scene, right, you know
- 15:23Speaker 2: what I mean? Like the scene and they're in the pool,
- 15:26Speaker 2: and it totally checks out to me. Gordon is okay
- 15:30Speaker 2: with it one minute and then he's okay with it,
- 15:31Speaker 2: not okay with the next. So this all checks out.
- 15:34Speaker 2: No one needs an explanation as to why they were
- 15:37Speaker 2: up on the rooftop swimming all together. That totally makes
- 15:40Speaker 2: sense to me. Sometimes it's okay, sometimes it's not. What
- 15:43Speaker 2: doesn't make sense is, like I said, the caption, so whatever.
- 15:47Speaker 2: But then we move on from that later in the party.
- 15:53Speaker 2: And here, I mean, Wendy wen Day is just when
- 15:56Speaker 2: daying like no one's business, and I just I gotta
- 15:59Speaker 2: love her and usiasm and I don't know how she
- 16:01Speaker 2: gets stuff done. But she announces that she gets a citation.
- 16:06Speaker 2: She's getting a citation from the governor.
- 16:09Speaker 4: You can get that done, oh tell me. I mean,
- 16:13Speaker 4: like you apply for it on the on the you know,
- 16:17Speaker 4: the dot gov website or whatever, and I think it's
- 16:20Speaker 4: you can get approved for something like that.
- 16:22Speaker 3: You can get like a proclamation or a citation, but
- 16:31Speaker 3: you have.
- 16:32Speaker 2: To be approved right exactly. I mean, you've got the
- 16:36Speaker 2: actual correspondent of the the Yeah, you have to like
- 16:42Speaker 2: anybody can apply for it, is what you're saying. You
- 16:44Speaker 2: just have to be approved.
- 16:46Speaker 3: And I've gotten that vibe.
- 16:48Speaker 2: I thought you were gonna say I've gotten a citation,
- 16:52Speaker 2: and I would not be surprised.
- 16:53Speaker 3: I'm going to see if I can't get a site.
- 16:56Speaker 2: To be quite honest with you, Emily, after all of
- 16:58Speaker 2: your your Halloween endeavors, your block parties, you're stutting down
- 17:04Speaker 2: the streets for the sake of the community.
- 17:06Speaker 3: State of Maryland.
- 17:07Speaker 4: I'll do it because it's a state of Maryland that
- 17:10Speaker 4: gives out the citation.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Well when they give out that, can't they do it
- 17:13Speaker 2: here in La.
- 17:15Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 17:15Speaker 4: It's a state by state thing. I don't know what
- 17:17Speaker 4: California does. I just know the Maryland state, like the governor.
- 17:22Speaker 2: Okay, So if anybody, if you're just listening to this
- 17:25Speaker 2: podcast for the first time, welcome in. Emily is from Maryland.
- 17:28Speaker 2: So that's why we're saying like it could be specifically
- 17:32Speaker 2: for Maryland. Okay. That's amazing, And I did find it interesting.
- 17:35Speaker 2: I never heard the word citation used in this before,
- 17:38Speaker 2: so have you.
- 17:40Speaker 3: I didn't.
- 17:41Speaker 4: I thought it was a proclamation, and I was dying
- 17:44Speaker 4: like laughing, and then I was like, well maybe.
- 17:47Speaker 3: Then I looked at it and I was like, oh, yeah,
- 17:49Speaker 3: you can get a citation.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:51Speaker 3: And it's a good thing.
- 17:52Speaker 2: It's a good thing. It's a beautiful, beautiful, it's a
- 17:56Speaker 2: The Webster's definition is a mention of a reason worthy
- 18:01Speaker 2: to her achievement in an official report, especially that of
- 18:05Speaker 2: a member of the armed forces in war time. The
- 18:10Speaker 2: citation described him as an officer of extreme gallantry. That's
- 18:15Speaker 2: that's it used in context. If you will, Martha's steward motherfokers.
- 18:24Speaker 2: I can't believe how hard you laugh at my Martha upression.
- 18:27Speaker 2: It makes me so happy.
- 18:28Speaker 4: It's like, it's like, how would Martha know about state citations?
- 18:34Speaker 3: Of course she does.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Well, it's an ef It's like praising someone for something
- 18:41Speaker 2: brave or special. They've done. What I would have liked
- 18:44Speaker 2: to have known, is what are those bullet points for?
- 18:47Speaker 2: One day? Is it that she's turning for now?
- 18:51Speaker 4: This is the only episode where she hasn't listed her
- 18:54Speaker 4: bullet points.
- 18:55Speaker 2: They took him out. They're like, okay, fine, we'll give
- 18:57Speaker 2: you the white party, We'll give you the citation. Scene
- 19:00Speaker 2: we'll even let the governor's correspondent give it to you.
- 19:06Speaker 3: Is a White House correspondent. It was April Ryan.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Oh I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I apologize, yes, yes,
- 19:11Speaker 2: well yeah, sorry.
- 19:12Speaker 4: She's like on CNN constantly, but she was not recognizable
- 19:16Speaker 4: and like from that far away.
- 19:19Speaker 2: But well they put her yeah, but they put her
- 19:21Speaker 2: title up, which was nice, but I citation.
- 19:26Speaker 4: Didn't know it because Ashley and fucking Stacey talked all
- 19:29Speaker 4: over April Ryan.
- 19:29Speaker 3: I was like, give her some respect.
- 19:31Speaker 2: I actually I appreciated Ashley saying like, oh, hold on,
- 19:36Speaker 2: I think we're we might need to be giving this attention.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Because I did, I was getting really awkward. And you
- 19:41Speaker 2: know what, that is a situation that we've all been
- 19:44Speaker 2: in when you've you're at an event and something's going
- 19:47Speaker 2: on and the person next to you is talking to you,
- 19:50Speaker 2: and you're like, I need to pay attention. I want
- 19:52Speaker 2: to give this reverence or I don't want to talk
- 19:54Speaker 2: during this. And I find that such an awkward situation
- 19:58Speaker 2: because I do feel like I'm very much a rule follower,
- 20:01Speaker 2: and I'm very much a like, yes, I'm a goofball
- 20:04Speaker 2: and I'm a clown and lonely really, and you know,
- 20:12Speaker 2: I have my issues, but that's neither here north there.
- 20:14Speaker 2: But when I'm in a situation like a concert or whatever,
- 20:18Speaker 2: I don't like when people talk. It bothers me and
- 20:23Speaker 2: it makes me really uncomfortable. So I felt that I
- 20:27Speaker 2: was like, you guys, fucking stop talking right now, please please,
- 20:30Speaker 2: Like this is official.
- 20:31Speaker 4: When the audience is talking while somebody is on stage,
- 20:35Speaker 4: that yeah.
- 20:36Speaker 2: Well yeah, that or any type of event, or like
- 20:39Speaker 2: if you're at a party and someone's giving a speech,
- 20:42Speaker 2: right and I'm going to take it down to a
- 20:43Speaker 2: casual thing, just like that you're at a birthday party
- 20:46Speaker 2: and someone's like, ting ting ting ting ting. I just
- 20:50Speaker 2: want to say a few words about my good friend
- 20:52Speaker 2: Emily Jesis. She has been the life of this campus,
- 20:56Speaker 2: of this podcast, and you know what I'm saying, Yeah,
- 21:00Speaker 2: I'm sorry, I want to listen, you know. I hate that. Yeah,
- 21:04Speaker 2: it's like, shut up, Like we don't need to be talking.
- 21:06Speaker 2: We can talk in two seconds now. If you're the
- 21:09Speaker 2: person is droning on and on, that's a different story.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Then I might start talking.
- 21:13Speaker 3: That's different, right, right, right right.
- 21:16Speaker 4: This felt like I don't know if April Ryan's going
- 21:21Speaker 4: to be presenting anything.
- 21:22Speaker 3: I'm going to be like fully listening.
- 21:25Speaker 4: I just was like Ashley and they had the other
- 21:27Speaker 4: thing I kept thinking, too, is like good on April, Ryan,
- 21:31Speaker 4: for keep for continuing, because don't forget that they had production.
- 21:37Speaker 3: They would have.
- 21:37Speaker 4: Had cameras on Stacy and Ashley talking and lighting. Oh,
- 21:43Speaker 4: and so I was like, that had to be distracting
- 21:46Speaker 4: having to give a speech to this.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Now she's used to it, she knows what she's doing. Yeah,
- 21:50Speaker 2: she's been around the box.
- 21:51Speaker 3: She's a pro man, she's a pro pro.
- 21:54Speaker 2: But yeah, citation. Never knew about it. And then when
- 21:56Speaker 2: Eddie came up and he was like, Wendy's getting a citation,
- 22:00Speaker 2: and they all just started laughing their ass off, and
- 22:01Speaker 2: I'm like, oh my god, this is so bad, so bad,
- 22:05Speaker 2: because they're all so wrong. But I didn't know either, yod.
- 22:09Speaker 2: I was thinking, there's no way Wendy's going to get
- 22:11Speaker 2: this wrong. If I was sitting there and someone she
- 22:14Speaker 2: said citation, I'd be like, oh, she definitely knows something
- 22:17Speaker 2: that I don't know, and I would immediately google it.
- 22:20Speaker 2: I would have absolutely given her the benefit of the doubt.
- 22:24Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 22:25Speaker 4: I I just assumed because they were all cracking up,
- 22:28Speaker 4: that she was wrong and that Karen was also like,
- 22:31Speaker 4: I'm the only one to the citation.
- 22:32Speaker 3: And then I thought like, and then when Eddie King
- 22:35Speaker 3: that was amazing, by the way.
- 22:37Speaker 4: Yeah, and also when Wendy wasn't letting the citation thing go,
- 22:41Speaker 4: I was like, I'm just going to google. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 22:44Speaker 4: a proclamation. Yeah, so maybe that's on Maryland. Maybe they
- 22:50Speaker 4: need to change that so for that wording.
- 22:55Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's not because it's in the dictionary. It's
- 22:58Speaker 2: it's a worldwide I know.
- 23:00Speaker 3: But at this point the kind it has changed and
- 23:03Speaker 3: how I vibe.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Listen, you can't go back and change Webster. I mean,
- 23:10Speaker 2: it is what it is. We're not going to go back.
- 23:13Speaker 4: I think you let's let's see if we can't get one,
- 23:16Speaker 4: because I'm now reading what Maryland gives and letters to
- 23:21Speaker 4: get one. It's the letters of greeting as a service
- 23:23Speaker 4: to Maryland residents to honor and I'm not a resident,
- 23:27Speaker 4: you know, all right, and celebrate people, groups and events
- 23:31Speaker 4: to increase awareness of noteworthy issues among citizens across Maryland.
- 23:35Speaker 2: Wendy qualifies, well, I think that's great. I was happy
- 23:39Speaker 2: about it and it's it was nice to see her
- 23:41Speaker 2: being awarded something. I was worried about Karen because again
- 23:44Speaker 2: not being awarded anything in this episode. And that's to
- 23:48Speaker 2: another episode where Karen wasn't being an awarded was wasn't
- 23:51Speaker 2: being awarded something?
- 23:53Speaker 4: How has Karen slept on a citation? This kind of like,
- 23:55Speaker 4: how has she not gotten a proclamation or citation in Maryland?
- 24:01Speaker 3: That's crazy. That could have been our whole event.
- 24:05Speaker 2: She should have gotten a citation to pardon her citations.
- 24:11Speaker 2: And then she's like, I'm having a citation to delete
- 24:14Speaker 2: my citations.
- 24:15Speaker 4: Party, these are the good citation.
- 24:19Speaker 3: I was pulled given a good citation when I hit
- 24:22Speaker 3: a treat.
- 24:23Speaker 2: Yeah, she's gonna spend it that.
- 24:29Speaker 4: My court case was delayed because I had a good citation.
- 24:33Speaker 2: A good citation where I was being awarded the citation
- 24:38Speaker 2: good good, good, good citation. So I don't cry because
- 24:47Speaker 2: I'm a hard, solid woman I have. I can't cry
- 24:50Speaker 2: because I'm also on lectro pro like Amy, but I'm
- 24:52Speaker 2: also have veneers. Veneers stopped the cheers, Veneers stopped the tears.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Now I'm uh, we should move from the uh oh wait, no,
- 25:01Speaker 2: we can't move from the party. But we huh huh.
- 25:05Speaker 4: I was just gonna say, because then they all talked
- 25:06Speaker 4: to Stacy in that room based on the Ashley conversation
- 25:11Speaker 4: about how she.
- 25:11Speaker 3: Needs to go into mediation correctly, and I was like, yes.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Please, thank you. Oh and then when Stacy like leans
- 25:22Speaker 2: over to TJ and he's just giving her the coldest
- 25:25Speaker 2: shoulder and I'm not talking about fashion. Okay, She's like,
- 25:30Speaker 2: that's the mayor's wife at the end of the table.
- 25:32Speaker 2: I can't remember what her name is. I'm so sorry, TJ.
- 25:35Speaker 2: And he's like, I was like, you need you need
- 25:41Speaker 2: a time out, sir. Yeah, I don't know what you
- 25:44Speaker 2: think you're doing right now, but it is not about you.
- 25:48Speaker 3: He's awful.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Yeah. And then he was like telling someone about, oh,
- 25:53Speaker 2: new hosts are making fifty six thousand dollars bonuses and
- 25:56Speaker 2: I gotta get you know. I mean he was talking
- 25:58Speaker 2: numbers and they showed that for a reason.
- 26:02Speaker 3: Yeah, they sure did.
- 26:06Speaker 4: Also, if we do our next bracket, TJ needs to
- 26:10Speaker 4: be in that bracket for shithead husband.
- 26:14Speaker 2: The shihead husband bracket okay whatever that was called, Oh,
- 26:17Speaker 2: douchebag husbands. Yeah, I like shithead. I mean, we can
- 26:21Speaker 2: rename them, because like last time was douchebag, this time
- 26:24Speaker 2: could be shithead husbands.
- 26:27Speaker 4: But I feel like if whoever won that one now
- 26:31Speaker 4: has to go against t J and a couple others.
- 26:34Speaker 2: Oh that's good. Yeah, I think it was. Was it Peek? No, wait,
- 26:41Speaker 2: it was David Foster. It was the three were Todd father,
- 26:46Speaker 2: David Foster and Louie and Louie I think Louis won. Yeah,
- 26:51Speaker 2: that's good, biggest douchebag. Okay, so let's leave one days.
- 26:56Speaker 2: I hate leaving her forty because I still want to celebrate.
- 27:01Speaker 2: I just am loving what she's bringing. So now we're
- 27:04Speaker 2: getting into mediations here, and we have Stacy's and we
- 27:08Speaker 2: have Ashley's, and they were vastly different, which I thought
- 27:12Speaker 2: was interesting. And let's just go to basically when they're
- 27:16Speaker 2: discussing them, which is that Stacy's mediation didn't they have
- 27:23Speaker 2: to go back, and whereas Ashley's was like ten hours, right,
- 27:28Speaker 2: she has to go back. Well, they didn't. They're not
- 27:32Speaker 2: going to go back yet, right, she said it's not finished.
- 27:36Speaker 2: It's not finished. But it was interesting to find out
- 27:38Speaker 2: that they didn't come to an agreement because of the
- 27:42Speaker 2: well non disclosure, right, essentially, and she's either going to
- 27:48Speaker 2: file this public complaint I guess about for this for
- 27:53Speaker 2: what Michael wants to do, or and what she ended
- 27:57Speaker 2: up doing, which obviously she did do, was way for
- 28:00Speaker 2: the lawyers to come to an agreement. And that's what
- 28:03Speaker 2: took months and months and months and months and months
- 28:05Speaker 2: and months into literally November twenty first, I believe, is
- 28:08Speaker 2: when they officially came to an agreement and filed for divorce.
- 28:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:12Speaker 4: I liked that Karen called out, Oh, Ashley has something
- 28:16Speaker 4: Michael wants and that's the privacy. I was like, good,
- 28:20Speaker 4: I'm glad that Karen, I because it didn't dawn on me.
- 28:24Speaker 4: And then when Karen said it, I was like, oh
- 28:27Speaker 4: that's good.
- 28:27Speaker 2: It was so good. She was like, uncle, won't ding
- 28:32Speaker 2: ding ding privacy? Good? Have money ding ding ding dingmony
- 28:40Speaker 2: Oh moony. Yeah, before we get into more of the mediation,
- 28:44Speaker 2: I'm just going to take a quick break. Hey guys,

- 33:22Speaker 2: less thing to worry about. Okay, we're back talking Real
- 33:25Speaker 2: Housewives of Potomac and we're talking the mediation. So let's
- 33:29Speaker 2: go through Ashley's We don't know, like in real time,
- 33:35Speaker 2: we actually don't have the details of what she got.
- 33:38Speaker 2: I tried to find it everywhere.
- 33:40Speaker 4: Well, it's probably part of the agreement she made with him.
- 33:44Speaker 4: So it's like there are probably things she can't speak on.
- 33:49Speaker 2: Right, And if it's based on the prenup, then she'll
- 33:53Speaker 2: get like basically half of what he has. I mean,
- 33:56Speaker 2: people can equate that to being like if he has
- 33:59Speaker 2: ten million, then she.
- 34:02Speaker 3: Whatever the prenup was.
- 34:05Speaker 4: So in the prenup, if he said if we divorce it,
- 34:07Speaker 4: you get twenty percent and she signed that, then that's
- 34:10Speaker 4: what's happening, right.
- 34:12Speaker 3: And then if there was different.
- 34:13Speaker 4: Categories of like if we have kids, then it's X
- 34:18Speaker 4: if if, and then it's probably like.
- 34:21Speaker 2: Yeah, So I mean I don't know, But what about
- 34:26Speaker 2: the non disclosure? So we don't know. That's what I'm
- 34:29Speaker 2: wondering about. Did she sign a non disclosure she to
- 34:33Speaker 2: get more money.
- 34:34Speaker 4: While she probably signed parts of a non disclosure, Like
- 34:37Speaker 4: I'm sure, like I like, there's definitely gonna be things
- 34:40Speaker 4: she can't talk about.
- 34:42Speaker 2: Well, I think it was wild to hear her say
- 34:45Speaker 2: on television talking about this mediation and basically saying, yeah,
- 34:51Speaker 2: he you know, he doesn't he doesn't want me to
- 34:54Speaker 2: talk about him on this show and wants the confidential
- 34:59Speaker 2: confidentality clause. And I can't agree with that and her
- 35:03Speaker 2: words were literally which I didn't really understand. She's like,
- 35:06Speaker 2: I can't agree to that. I'm not a wizard. I
- 35:08Speaker 2: was like, what a wizard? But I mean, I guess
- 35:14Speaker 2: what she meant was, I can't curb the things I
- 35:18Speaker 2: say because I live an authentic, outspoken life on this show. Yeah,
- 35:23Speaker 2: and I suppose that's what she meant. And she told
- 35:25Speaker 2: even the ladies like, I'm an open book. I am
- 35:27Speaker 2: who I am, and she has really been that way.
- 35:31Speaker 2: But what a stand to take with your ex husband
- 35:35Speaker 2: by saying like, yeah, no, I'm going to be talking
- 35:37Speaker 2: about you and I'm going to be talking about you
- 35:39Speaker 2: on the show. This is how I make money and
- 35:41Speaker 2: you can't if you're going to interrupt my cash flow.
- 35:45Speaker 2: Then it was very very smart of her to do this.
- 35:49Speaker 4: Still might not, I mean probably what he and his
- 35:53Speaker 4: lawyer were saying was like, you even mention my name,
- 35:58Speaker 4: and all bets are off and we know he will
- 36:01Speaker 4: take her to court because that's who he.
- 36:03Speaker 2: Is, Like even even make eye contact.
- 36:07Speaker 3: That was wild.
- 36:08Speaker 2: Honestly thought they were in a way better place.
- 36:10Speaker 3: I did too.
- 36:11Speaker 2: That was shocking and kind of sad. I don't know
- 36:16Speaker 2: it sad for like, I don't know. I did feel
- 36:20Speaker 2: like it was kind of sad. I thought that maybe
- 36:22Speaker 2: they could consciously uncouple.
- 36:26Speaker 3: They still might.
- 36:27Speaker 4: I mean, we're watching it's not a breakup is not linear,
- 36:30Speaker 4: you know what I mean? Like they can have ups
- 36:32Speaker 4: and downs, and it seems like, especially like when you're
- 36:35Speaker 4: going through lawyers and I highly recommend you do, you're
- 36:39Speaker 4: going to have true probably hate for that person. And
- 36:44Speaker 4: then once the lawyers and everything settles down, then like
- 36:48Speaker 4: I think that they'll be fine.
- 36:50Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's not that time right now.
- 36:53Speaker 4: Like if in order for Michael to like Ashley, she
- 36:57Speaker 4: has to be obeying him, and that's not going to happen.
- 37:02Speaker 4: So I think eventually, like he'll respect her as her
- 37:06Speaker 4: own person, but not yet.
- 37:09Speaker 2: She is so strong like her life and her mentality
- 37:15Speaker 2: on life and the way that she I don't know,
- 37:19Speaker 2: she just I've always described her as somebody who's just
- 37:21Speaker 2: like water off of a duck's back. We've never really
- 37:24Speaker 2: seen her collapse under her hardships. You just never see
- 37:30Speaker 2: her a mess. We've seen her emotional sure, yeah yeah, yeah,
- 37:34Speaker 2: and she's been real. I just am really blown away.
- 37:38Speaker 2: I think she might be the strongest emotionally strongest housewife
- 37:42Speaker 2: that is out there. In my opinion, I feel like
- 37:45Speaker 2: she's very grounded. And also she can kind of float
- 37:52Speaker 2: above the surface of things, like you know, to take
- 37:54Speaker 2: it out of the wise words of Candy Buris, she
- 37:58Speaker 2: flies above She really flies above it. And I don't
- 38:01Speaker 2: know how she does it. I it's a personality trait
- 38:05Speaker 2: you're born with. And it blows me away because I
- 38:09Speaker 2: am nothing like that, Like I am so much more
- 38:12Speaker 2: of an emotional person where I would just have so
- 38:15Speaker 2: many more ups and downs and be I don't know,
- 38:18Speaker 2: And I don't think she's hiding things from us in
- 38:20Speaker 2: the sense that, oh, she's breaking down at home in
- 38:22Speaker 2: this way. I think that she's breaking down at home
- 38:24Speaker 2: in the way that she does is as she would
- 38:26Speaker 2: with us on camera. Somehow she handles it.
- 38:30Speaker 3: Yeah, who knows. And it's not like she's got like
- 38:32Speaker 3: the money.
- 38:33Speaker 4: Sometimes you look at some people that are just like, well,
- 38:36Speaker 4: they have the security of knowing that they can kind
- 38:38Speaker 4: of fixate race on the back end or right. You know,
- 38:42Speaker 4: they're stoic because you know, at the end of the day,
- 38:46Speaker 4: what is this right, Ashley doesn't have that.
- 38:49Speaker 3: She does need the show, but she's.
- 38:50Speaker 2: She does, and she's so smart because she knew that
- 38:54Speaker 2: this would you know, as she said, Michael's like basically
- 38:56Speaker 2: a ticking time bomb, and she couldn't just pull out
- 38:58Speaker 2: of this marriage like that. She had to play the
- 39:02Speaker 2: long game. And even though everyone was like, so, how's
- 39:05Speaker 2: that divorce? That's never divorcing, and she just was with
- 39:08Speaker 2: a smile on her face. She's like, well, you know,
- 39:10Speaker 2: and basically doing what she has to do. So that's
- 39:13Speaker 2: why when we got to this point when she showed
- 39:16Speaker 2: up at this mediation and she they weren't looking at
- 39:19Speaker 2: each other in the eyes, it was so surprising to
- 39:21Speaker 2: me because I thought that, like, everything was going fine,
- 39:25Speaker 2: and but to your point, they it probably it may
- 39:28Speaker 2: not be like that, you know forever. She does say
- 39:31Speaker 2: in the episode that they did agree on the child.
- 39:36Speaker 2: What is the word I'm looking for?
- 39:38Speaker 3: Custody.
- 39:39Speaker 2: Yeah, the custody that he's going to have them ten
- 39:43Speaker 2: ten days a month. Isn't that right? Isn't that what
- 39:46Speaker 2: we found out by the end of the episode.
- 39:48Speaker 3: Right, right?
- 39:51Speaker 4: Yes, I was confused about how she wasn't going to
- 39:54Speaker 4: be able to see them for weeks at a time.
- 39:56Speaker 2: That was her saying she doesn't know what's going to happen,
- 40:01Speaker 2: and that's a possibility. She was worried and she didn't
- 40:03Speaker 2: want I was just.
- 40:04Speaker 4: Confused about that option. I was like, what option is
- 40:07Speaker 4: that where she doesn't see her kids? Yeah, I see
- 40:10Speaker 4: wanting to move away from the state, but then they're
- 40:14Speaker 4: but but still.
- 40:16Speaker 3: Like you have to live near each other. I just
- 40:18Speaker 3: didn't know what that was.
- 40:19Speaker 2: I agree with you, and I think maybe it was
- 40:22Speaker 2: just like worst case scenario and if he plays hardball
- 40:26Speaker 2: where he'd be like I want them. Well, I don't know,
- 40:31Speaker 2: I mean, like.
- 40:32Speaker 4: Maybe if they if there's like a like like one
- 40:36Speaker 4: custodial parent gets the kids for two weeks in the
- 40:39Speaker 4: summer and another.
- 40:40Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 40:41Speaker 2: That's just all kinds of arrangements. You're right, you're right.
- 40:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:45Speaker 2: But by the way, Ashley debuted a new confessional look
- 40:48Speaker 2: last night. Did you see it?
- 40:50Speaker 3: And this path Aaron?
- 40:52Speaker 2: Oh my god, yeah, And I meant to go back
- 40:53Speaker 2: and take a picture of that, damn it, because there
- 40:55Speaker 2: were two new confessional looks at least that I noticed
- 40:58Speaker 2: that popped out. Karen's Oh okay, it's very like another
- 41:03Speaker 2: kind of chic hot ursula look in the sense that
- 41:05Speaker 2: she has these strands, like several strands coming down.
- 41:10Speaker 4: Yeah yeah yeah, like very also like very Belle from
- 41:14Speaker 4: Beauty and the Beast too.
- 41:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 41:16Speaker 2: It was like Disney infused.
- 41:20Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, there was like flowers.
- 41:24Speaker 2: Yeah and gold.
- 41:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 41:27Speaker 2: But Ashley's she debuted this and it was like after
- 41:31Speaker 2: we got to this whole mediation thing and it was like, whoa,
- 41:35Speaker 2: she's moving on and this is like this is giving
- 41:39Speaker 2: widow who's just inherited like one billion dollars. Look at
- 41:43Speaker 2: this I'm showing on video right now. If you want
- 41:46Speaker 2: to watch video, you can.
- 41:47Speaker 3: It has just murdered a muppet and is wearing their set.
- 41:51Speaker 2: I actually I like it. It just is so not
- 41:56Speaker 2: Ashley that it threw me off completely. I mean it's
- 42:01Speaker 2: like wild with the all the diamond necklaces, the the
- 42:06Speaker 2: the kind of a sixties hair swoop. I mean, she
- 42:11Speaker 2: looks absolutely stunning. It just was. It's almost kind of
- 42:15Speaker 2: like a little Marilyn Monroe kind of like I am
- 42:18Speaker 2: newly divorced and I'm ready to look for a very
- 42:22Speaker 2: wealthy man and saying happy birthday like Maryland. Does you know?
- 42:27Speaker 4: Yeah, it feels I don't know, it felt it looks
- 42:30Speaker 4: kind of glamour shot slash Penthouse.
- 42:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 42:34Speaker 2: Yes, oh my god, you did not. Yeah, it does
- 42:38Speaker 2: kind of like a little Penthouse.
- 42:40Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 42:42Speaker 4: It also was such a jump scare because we had
- 42:45Speaker 4: been seeing all of the and it's not just Ashley,
- 42:47Speaker 4: it's all of them. When you get a new interview
- 42:50Speaker 4: look out of nowhere, you're like, whoa, yeah, yes, And
- 42:55Speaker 4: there's been a couple of times where we've never seen
- 42:57Speaker 4: a look again, and that and I there was what
- 43:01Speaker 4: I think it was on I think it might have.
- 43:03Speaker 3: Been Erica, because I think it was Erica.
- 43:05Speaker 4: It was the Beverly Hills or Rena, and I was like,
- 43:08Speaker 4: I think we only ever saw that time that she
- 43:10Speaker 4: wore like TV and a full TV antenna on her head.
- 43:16Speaker 3: Like it was just like something so wild. Yeah, I
- 43:19Speaker 3: never saw it again.
- 43:20Speaker 2: Yeah, because they're like, I can't recreate this twice, you know,
- 43:24Speaker 2: because sometimes they you know, when they get their interview
- 43:27Speaker 2: looks and then they take the picture and they're like, Okay,
- 43:29Speaker 2: when we come back, you have to look exactly like this.
- 43:32Speaker 2: We can't do that again. It's impossible. It was one
- 43:36Speaker 2: and done. So yeah, so the mediation with hers was wild,
- 43:41Speaker 2: but Stacy's you know, preparing her. She was like, I
- 43:44Speaker 2: don't think you understand we're we have a different kind
- 43:46Speaker 2: of relationship, and maybe they don't get it. And then boom,
- 43:49Speaker 2: she comes back to the table when they're on that
- 43:51Speaker 2: rooftop lunch and she's like, so many there were some
- 43:57Speaker 2: accounts I did not know about.
- 43:59Speaker 4: You. Guess what, like, Stacy, no, I don't care how
- 44:03Speaker 4: great you are with your ex husband, no X or
- 44:07Speaker 4: wife wants to pay wants to think their money is
- 44:10Speaker 4: going to your.
- 44:11Speaker 3: New boyfriend or girlfriend. Like that's it. I don't care
- 44:15Speaker 3: how great it is.
- 44:16Speaker 4: It's like I agreed with what Karen was saying, like
- 44:19Speaker 4: stop flaunting this new relationship.
- 44:21Speaker 2: You should hide him. I was like, yeah, hide him. Yeah,
- 44:26Speaker 2: why are you putting him on camera If you're this
- 44:28Speaker 2: worried about if you think that telling the narrative that
- 44:32Speaker 2: you guys are just friends and not doing it and
- 44:36Speaker 2: all that stuff, and he's treating you like this, I'm sorry.
- 44:40Speaker 2: There's a lot more going on.
- 44:41Speaker 4: There's so much going on, and I really think Stacy
- 44:44Speaker 4: is that naive.
- 44:45Speaker 3: I really do believe it.
- 44:46Speaker 2: I do too. I believe it too. And and this
- 44:50Speaker 2: is I did love that when day is Forte made
- 44:57Speaker 2: Stacy feel like it was okay to not know everything
- 45:01Speaker 2: about the finances because I think that this is true
- 45:04Speaker 2: for a lot of people. This does happen, and I
- 45:07Speaker 2: like that she didn't shame her about it when everyone
- 45:11Speaker 2: else was calling her out to say like it was
- 45:14Speaker 2: a great balance, like they were saying, you need to
- 45:15Speaker 2: be prepared, but also don't feel bad, like Wendy saying,
- 45:19Speaker 2: I have no idea how my mortgage is paid, but
- 45:22Speaker 2: I know everything about my kids and maybe he doesn't.
- 45:24Speaker 2: So those types of responsibilities are split up in relationships
- 45:28Speaker 2: and you have partners, so it does make sense to me.
- 45:32Speaker 2: It's not out of the ordinary for that to happen,
- 45:35Speaker 2: and so that's partly why she is is.
- 45:37Speaker 4: But what Wendy also said, which was good, is I
- 45:40Speaker 4: need to figure this out. Even though Eddie and I
- 45:43Speaker 4: are great, I think I need to like know more.
- 45:47Speaker 3: And I she said that too.
- 45:48Speaker 2: She was like, I need to know where the money is.
- 45:51Speaker 4: Yeah, but Wendy doesn't necessarily right her world, but I
- 45:56Speaker 4: like that she was like, I'm gonna take like it
- 45:59Speaker 4: sounded like Wendy was going to maybe take a little initiative,
- 46:02Speaker 4: which because like God forbid, something happens to Eddie and
- 46:05Speaker 4: everything's g you know, the relationship is never hurt. But like,
- 46:08Speaker 4: let's see as an accident or something I would never
- 46:12Speaker 4: knock on with all that superstitious she's got to step
- 46:16Speaker 4: into that seat anyway, so you should know.
- 46:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree. I mean, I love the narrative. I mean,
- 46:23Speaker 2: this is interesting coming off of Just Beverly Hills last week,
- 46:27Speaker 2: where Kyle's like, I mean, people don't understand our relationship.
- 46:30Speaker 2: I mean, and maybe it's unusual. I don't know, because
- 46:34Speaker 2: Stacy's saying the same thing. You know, and women know now.
- 46:39Speaker 2: And I love that The Real Housewives is putting it
- 46:41Speaker 2: out there. Like ladies, men, whomever, whoever you're in a
- 46:45Speaker 2: relationship with, you got to make sure that your teas
- 46:49Speaker 2: are crossed and your eyes are dotted when it comes
- 46:51Speaker 2: to money and your stuff because you never know how
- 46:55Speaker 2: it did go now.
- 46:56Speaker 3: And then you just want to stay on camera.
- 46:58Speaker 2: You didn't know, right, it's a different story. Yeah, Oh
- 47:02Speaker 2: my goodness, So all right, what else? Okay? Oh, Karen
- 47:12Speaker 2: and Raven have lunch. Great to see Raven back from
- 47:14Speaker 2: the big city. This was like a Hallmark movie, you know.
- 47:17Speaker 2: It was like she's back from the big city and
- 47:19Speaker 2: she got the big deal in her marketing company for Amazon.
- 47:23Speaker 3: You know, she's flying back out that day. Yeah, what's
- 47:27Speaker 3: Raven's carbon footprint?
- 47:30Speaker 2: And then that very special lunch. No one was there.
- 47:33Speaker 2: The restaurant was closed down to delight us with these presentations.
- 47:38Speaker 2: I mean just all these courses. I was like, they're
- 47:42Speaker 2: getting their money's worth as far as being advertised here.
- 47:46Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, I wanted to go. Was that? Yeah?
- 47:50Speaker 4: That was that was after the Tipsy Scoop And I
- 47:54Speaker 4: know it was the Tipsy Scoop because they said welcome
- 47:56Speaker 4: to Tipsy Scoop.
- 47:58Speaker 2: What I also about that was the Tipsy Scoop.
- 48:01Speaker 4: That's where Grace and Giselle went where she got her
- 48:04Speaker 4: ice cream.
- 48:05Speaker 3: With that you could get it with like the.
- 48:07Speaker 2: Whiskey topping, right, Okay, yeah.
- 48:10Speaker 3: I want to go there. Yeah us they like were scoop.
- 48:13Speaker 3: That's so cute.
- 48:15Speaker 2: Anyway mm hmmm, oh yeah, sorry I kind of skipped
- 48:18Speaker 2: over that. But yeah, Giselle and Grace talk about her
- 48:22Speaker 2: first year at college and they've got a great relationship,
- 48:26Speaker 2: and when Giselle lost her father that the twins were
- 48:29Speaker 2: really there for her by stepping up and flying her
- 48:33Speaker 2: out and it ends with you need a cooking class.
- 48:37Speaker 3: But I will tell you.
- 48:38Speaker 4: In this episode, there was the Tipsy Scoop, there was
- 48:41Speaker 4: Deck eleven. That restaurant that Karen was at was mitam
- 48:47Speaker 4: at Mita or something.
- 48:49Speaker 3: Because they said the name. They did not just say
- 48:52Speaker 3: welcome in, we thank you.
- 48:55Speaker 2: They did they did a great job at placing their advertisers.
- 48:58Speaker 3: Here and saying the name of the business.
- 49:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I say it, excellent work. Say it, don't spray it,
- 49:04Speaker 2: name it, name them a name, your advertisers, name them. Yeah.
- 49:14Speaker 2: So Raven is basically like, yep, I flew in from
- 49:17Speaker 2: the big city to tell you that if anyone is
- 49:20Speaker 2: bringing up anything other than just plain old support for you,
- 49:25Speaker 2: they can go f themselves. Is essentially what her daughter
- 49:28Speaker 2: is saying. And then she starts kind of like explaining
- 49:35Speaker 2: how Karen is so strong, and she's like, we're so different.
- 49:38Speaker 2: I cry all the time and you don't cry it all.
- 49:40Speaker 2: And then Karen, it's like, I'm just so proud of you. You're
- 49:44Speaker 2: just this is your time. And then she's like, you're
- 49:47Speaker 2: taking care of yourself. I never do that. I realized
- 49:50Speaker 2: after the accident that I don't take care of myself,
- 49:53Speaker 2: and so that's how we kind of get that narrative
- 49:56Speaker 2: out there. And then Raven's like it's shameful, and then
- 50:00Speaker 2: cut away.
- 50:02Speaker 3: I like raveing a lot.
- 50:04Speaker 2: Oh she's great, she's great. Yeah, Jacqueline's new Bob I
- 50:10Speaker 2: die I die for looked adorable when she's shopping. It
- 50:15Speaker 2: was like pretty woman with Mia.
- 50:18Speaker 3: At Ron David's studio.
- 50:21Speaker 2: Wow, good job, Emily is really clocking these businesses.
- 50:26Speaker 4: When you say that name, we remember, we remember, remember
- 50:32Speaker 4: we speak your name Ron David's studio.
- 50:38Speaker 2: When Mia says in her confessional that Jacqueline is a
- 50:42Speaker 2: country girl and that she and Giselle should be friends
- 50:46Speaker 2: because of their clothes, and then we got this collage
- 50:52Speaker 2: and then I'm putting us up here for the darlings
- 50:56Speaker 2: watching this on Patreon and if you join Tier two
- 50:59Speaker 2: you get video. And I looked at all these looks.
- 51:03Speaker 3: I liked them.
- 51:05Speaker 2: They're not as bad as like some of them we've seen, Like,
- 51:10Speaker 2: they're not as bad.
- 51:11Speaker 3: I thought they were fine.
- 51:13Speaker 2: Well, I mean they're not all fine, but.
- 51:16Speaker 3: No, but that collage was a bad representation.
- 51:18Speaker 2: It was they didn't lives. They weren't as bad. Yeah,
- 51:22Speaker 2: they should have gotten the should have had someone else
- 51:26Speaker 2: in charge of gathering these looks.
- 51:27Speaker 3: Yes.
- 51:28Speaker 4: So also I liked the gray dress that Jacqueline tried on.
- 51:34Speaker 2: On Jacqueline, well, it looked really good, I thought so.
- 51:38Speaker 2: And I did not like that top with that skirt
- 51:41Speaker 2: and Mea is like, oh yeah, and I'm like what.
- 51:44Speaker 4: Nope, that was doing Yeah, I didn't. And I think like,
- 51:49Speaker 4: if if Giselle had shown up in the shirt and
- 51:53Speaker 4: skirt outfit, Mia would have gone hard on Giselle for that.
- 51:58Speaker 2: The skirt was terrible. Yeah, I mean, at least paired
- 52:01Speaker 2: with that shirt. I would have to see it with
- 52:03Speaker 2: something else. Yeah, but those two together terrible. And then
- 52:08Speaker 2: we get this little nugget here because Mia wants to
- 52:14Speaker 2: put it out there because she knows what's coming later,
- 52:16Speaker 2: which is that me is sick of Gazelle and as
- 52:18Speaker 2: she calls her Kruela Deville meaning Karen like getting into
- 52:21Speaker 2: her business about Gordon and Ink and so now we
- 52:25Speaker 2: know she's like, you know, poised to jump on one
- 52:28Speaker 2: of them or both at some point, and we know
- 52:31Speaker 2: later she does that to Gazelle. But Mia is like, well,
- 52:36Speaker 2: Ink and I haven't agreed to be in a relationship
- 52:37Speaker 2: because of Gordon, and I'm like, come again. This is
- 52:42Speaker 2: where her narrative is just as confusing as her caption
- 52:46Speaker 2: at the beginning of this, and I am going, what
- 52:51Speaker 2: are you doing? Like, we're with you, we're following you.
- 52:55Speaker 2: And then you say something like that, Yeah, you're contradicting
- 52:59Speaker 2: yourself always and then Jacqueline co signs it by saying, yeah,
- 53:05Speaker 2: I mean I think you should wait until all this
- 53:07Speaker 2: Gordon stuff is done. I was like, what are you
- 53:10Speaker 2: talking about? Now you're lying too.
- 53:14Speaker 4: Because they are doing they are now in organizing mode
- 53:19Speaker 4: off camera and we're going to see. But I do
- 53:22Speaker 4: think the wheels are going to come off. They keep
- 53:25Speaker 4: almost coming off, like in terms of what I mean
- 53:31Speaker 4: by that is like Jacqueline is me is wheels.
- 53:35Speaker 3: Right, and she is going to come off you.
- 53:38Speaker 2: Yes, they're like, you know, rot for another I'm sorry,
- 53:43Speaker 2: not rot. They're ripe for another huge falling out like
- 53:47Speaker 2: they did. Yeah in the first season that Jacqueline came
- 53:49Speaker 2: on the show. Yeah, and then we get Ashley's Over
- 53:52Speaker 2: the Edge event for New Hope the Homeless Center and
- 53:56Speaker 2: that was amazing and holy shit, Spider.
- 53:59Speaker 3: Mom, right, I would never fucking do that.
- 54:02Speaker 2: I can't believe she. I can't believe Ashley. She blows
- 54:05Speaker 2: into my mind.
- 54:07Speaker 4: I would have got up there, seen what's doing, got
- 54:11Speaker 4: been like bye, goodbye everybody.
- 54:13Speaker 3: I'm not doing this.
- 54:15Speaker 2: She's like the bravest person.
- 54:19Speaker 4: It's also because I like, maybe that's a setup that's
- 54:22Speaker 4: always there and that's like something you can do on
- 54:24Speaker 4: that building. I don't know, but I was like, this
- 54:28Speaker 4: is not a typical climbing setup space that like I
- 54:34Speaker 4: wouldn't trust it, not that like like only because like
- 54:41Speaker 4: like I need to know that a thousand people have
- 54:43Speaker 4: been on.
- 54:44Speaker 3: This thing or have rock climbed in this area, and
- 54:47Speaker 3: there's like.
- 54:48Speaker 4: A right way to do this, not like hey we
- 54:51Speaker 4: found a fun building.
- 54:52Speaker 2: Yeah, let's repel for the cause, right yeah yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 54:58Speaker 2: okay great. So then this is where Mia and Gizelle
- 55:05Speaker 2: talk and okay, wait, so then Gizelle says in her confessional,
- 55:11Speaker 2: I texted.
- 55:11Speaker 3: You this last night.
- 55:14Speaker 2: Between Gordon and the elf on the shelf, there's a
- 55:17Speaker 2: lot going on. And then the other line that happened
- 55:21Speaker 2: quite soon after that, and a confessional was Karen, that
- 55:25Speaker 2: killed me too, And she goes, what's going on with Ashley?
- 55:28Speaker 2: She's hanging off a wall and a string and Karen
- 55:34Speaker 2: praying on the ground like this was, this was amazing.
- 55:38Speaker 2: Just you cannot sleep, you cannot blink for a second
- 55:41Speaker 2: on this show with these gals. And then so Mia
- 55:44Speaker 2: basically tries to throw Gazelle's daughters under the bus by
- 55:47Speaker 2: saying like, oh, you act like everything's perfect, and you
- 55:49Speaker 2: told me in the Dominican Republic that they were sneaking
- 55:51Speaker 2: boys into the yard. And Jessel's like, She's like, I
- 55:55Speaker 2: don't even know what you're talking. Oh I remember the
- 55:58Speaker 2: ring camera, like you could see her trying to be like,
- 56:00Speaker 2: what are you talking about? Yeah, And and then Mia says,
- 56:05Speaker 2: it's just the stupidest argument that anyone's ever heard of.
- 56:08Speaker 2: I don't question why you only post them being outstanding girls.
- 56:12Speaker 2: And then Giselle's rebuttal was like, I they have their
- 56:16Speaker 2: own social media, you know, they can post whatever they
- 56:20Speaker 2: want about their life, what's going on they that's their choice, and.
- 56:24Speaker 4: So like, what parents going to be like, here here's
- 56:27Speaker 4: my kids fucking up again Instagram?
- 56:30Speaker 2: Yeah, Oh I just I just found boys in the
- 56:32Speaker 2: yard in my ring cam. None of it makes sense.
- 56:37Speaker 4: And then and also like MIA's contradicting yourself because she
- 56:41Speaker 4: didn't post about Gordon's depressive outbreak.
- 56:45Speaker 3: She posted about them playing at the pool together.
- 56:48Speaker 4: So it's like, I know she's saying, like Giselle contradicts
- 56:53Speaker 4: herself on social media, and.
- 56:54Speaker 3: So do I, but I'm just like that, just shut
- 56:59Speaker 3: up about.
- 56:59Speaker 2: Right, And if you meant on the show, then say
- 57:03Speaker 2: then maybe you need to Maybe she meant on the
- 57:05Speaker 2: show like you're presenting your girls on the show so perfectly.
- 57:08Speaker 2: Why don't you talk about the time that you've caught
- 57:10Speaker 2: a boy on the ring camera. Well, it's kind of insignificant,
- 57:13Speaker 2: to be honest with you, there's nothing about it that
- 57:16Speaker 2: and it's her kids. You're not going to be exploiting
- 57:19Speaker 2: your kids. It's just the worst argument. And I love
- 57:23Speaker 2: Mia and I love what she's bringing, but she really
- 57:25Speaker 2: lost me at the end here and by saying like
- 57:29Speaker 2: she's not living her authentic life. Now, I do have
- 57:33Speaker 2: some level of understanding with Jazelle does protect herself and
- 57:38Speaker 2: she is more focused on other people and their dramas
- 57:42Speaker 2: than she is with herself and like her stuff, and
- 57:47Speaker 2: that's been an issue in the past, and which is
- 57:48Speaker 2: why I think she brought Jamal on the show for
- 57:50Speaker 2: a while, so I get her point, but it's a
- 57:55Speaker 2: bad look of bringing the kid.
- 57:57Speaker 3: Is she entertaining yes to me? That's enough.
- 58:01Speaker 4: Like I love what Gizelle brings to this show. I
- 58:04Speaker 4: don't care if like I like her. You know she
- 58:08Speaker 4: can turn her phrase. I love like her vibe with
- 58:11Speaker 4: the other women as a support, Like I don't need
- 58:15Speaker 4: her to be driving into trees going through a divorce.
- 58:20Speaker 3: Like I'm happy with Gizelle.
- 58:23Speaker 2: I am too, And I think that different wives play
- 58:27Speaker 2: different parts. It doesn't seem fair if you're on a
- 58:30Speaker 2: show with someone like that, Like if you were the
- 58:32Speaker 2: person like Mia that's showing everything and it's so intense,
- 58:39Speaker 2: and then you look at Gazelle and she's just showing
- 58:40Speaker 2: up and getting to do like these one liners that
- 58:43Speaker 2: are hilarious, and you know, it's gonna be harder. On
- 58:46Speaker 2: the other end, if you're in that situation, it's gonna
- 58:48Speaker 2: be harder. You're gonna be like, well, I'm this is
- 58:50Speaker 2: what I'm pulling onto the team, and I'm bringing us
- 58:53Speaker 2: into the end zone and I'm just giving you the
- 58:55Speaker 2: ball and you get to make the field goal. You know,
- 58:57Speaker 2: that's the type of thing. I think that's what she means,
- 58:59Speaker 2: and I get.
- 59:00Speaker 3: That, but you gotta have your Ariana, you gotta.
- 59:03Speaker 4: Have your person that's us and Giselle and that plays
- 59:07Speaker 4: that role and she's hilarious as just like the I
- 59:12Speaker 4: just can't imagine why Jizz I don't know. I also
- 59:16Speaker 4: think like Gizelle has showed showed us things, but they
- 59:19Speaker 4: just don't meet that level.
- 59:21Speaker 2: Like no, and they never will. That's the thing I've heard.
- 59:24Speaker 2: Her life with Jamal is over, so she can't really
- 59:26Speaker 2: exploit what happened in that and I don't think she's
- 59:29Speaker 2: going to go back to it. And that's really the juiciest.
- 59:31Speaker 4: Part MIA's life is Yeah, you're right, because Mia.
- 59:36Speaker 3: Is in the middle.
- 59:36Speaker 4: She has young kids, and she's in the middle of
- 59:38Speaker 4: nine separations and engagements.
- 59:42Speaker 2: And I just quote Karen again, I can't believe this Gale.
- 59:49Speaker 2: The stress of struggling a pimp village has gone to
- 59:51Speaker 2: me as a children off limage. I mean that was, Yeah,
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: it's unreal, so me as like she's not living her
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: authentic life. And then this closer was amazing Giselle and
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: her confessional going, I'm just taking it all in because
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: after it's all in, I will react.
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, that was perfect.
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: Oh, she's gonna come for her.
- 1:00:22Speaker 4: It's and it's also tricky because at Karen's luncheon, Giselle
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: and Karen did come pretty hard at.
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: Me about her choices as a mother.
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: Hmmm, so that's true, that's true. Payback as hell. You're right,
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: And Jazelle, I'm glad you brought that up. That was
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: an oversight on my part.
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: No, I was just thinking like there was a time
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: recently that was it.
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: Yeah, pay back as a bit, Yeah, she did. She did.
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: She was like, you're not being a good mom because
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: your kids walked in on you an ink.
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: Yeah, it's tricky.
- 1:00:57Speaker 4: I don't remember if Gizelle or Karen said it, but
- 1:00:59Speaker 4: they were both tag teaming me on the choices she
- 1:01:03Speaker 4: was making in terms of the kids and possible father
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: and Gordon.
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: And we'll get in they're horrible, Like let's you know,
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: it's true, isn't making good decisions on some level? So right,
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: but you're gonna call her out on that. Be prepared
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: because you can't just sit back and then not have
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: something to come for you after that.
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: Right, Well, nobody's perfect.
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: Nobody's perfect. This episode was in loving memory of Matthew
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: Buyers because he passed away recently and he was a
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: close friend of Karen's and a lot of housewives knew him, and.
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: Well, he was on a bunch of the I mean,
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: like I remember him showing up on Potomac and I
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: was like, wait a second, yeah, and I was like,
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: he's been on something. They like he was just on
- 1:01:50Speaker 4: was it Jersey before.
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: That or like New York? Yeah, maybe Jersey and maybe
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: one of maybe all three. But he's been very present
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: in all lot of Houswives live.
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: So because he was Karen's assistant for a minute on Potomac.
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: And probably still was until up until this point, I
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: think I think they were still working together and they
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: were really good friends. So I'm sorry it was sad
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: to see that, and also it was very nice for
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: them to put that up there.
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: That was.
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: You, guys. That concludes our episode of Potomac. Thank you
