- 1:40Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and there was so much chatter about the eclipse this week.
- 1:43Dayna Roselli: We survived, you know, we had the partial eclipse here in Las Vegas, and we had a bright and sunny, beautiful day.
- 1:50Sean McAllister: Not a cloud in the sky.
- 1:51Sean McAllister: It was great.
- 1:52Dayna Roselli: It was great.
- 1:53Dayna Roselli: We didn't have the glasses, so we did the whole hole in the paper thing.
- 1:57Dayna Roselli: And we, if you check out our social media, we were able to make it work and it looked look great.
- 2:02Sean McAllister: Yeah, I was talking with my mom after the eclipse, and she was like, Can you send me that video of how you guys poked the hole in the paper and saw the eclipse?
- 2:12Sean McAllister: I was like, Yeah, sure, I'll send it to you.
- 2:14Sean McAllister: But she was watching back in uh Brockport, New York, which was right in the the path of totality.
- 2:21SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 2:21Sean McAllister: Um and she said it was just super weird because uh it was a super it was a really cloudy day there in western New York, so they didn't get to actually see the eclipse.
- 2:31Sean McAllister: But she said when the full coverage happened, it was like a light switch and it just got dark.
- 2:38Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 2:38Dayna Roselli: Isn't that it's so crazy?
- 2:40Dayna Roselli: Everyone was talking about the birds too, like kind of flying by and low and could sense something was happening.
- 2:46Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 2:47Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 2:47Dayna Roselli: I I can only imagine.
- 2:49Dayna Roselli: Um, my parents said the same thing about the darkness thing.
- 2:51Dayna Roselli: It was very weird.
- 2:52Dayna Roselli: And then you look at like um, you know, there were some videos in parts of you know, the northeast where they didn't have the cloud cover and you could see it really well.
- 3:02Dayna Roselli: Yep.
- 3:02Dayna Roselli: And to actually see the moon like over the like it was pretty incredible.
- 3:08Sean McAllister: So and seeing like the solar flares coming off from around the edge, it was it was wild.
- 3:13Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 3:14Dayna Roselli: It was it was a big deal.
- 3:15Dayna Roselli: I was watching my friend report from Niagara Falls where they had a huge gathering as well.
- 3:20Dayna Roselli: I mean, it was an event.
- 3:21Sean McAllister: It it was.
- 3:22Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 3:23Dayna Roselli: It really was a big deal.
- 3:25Dayna Roselli: So anyway, um, hopefully you didn't stare up there and your eyes don't hurt.
- 3:30Dayna Roselli: You did it right, like we did, and that you're safe and ready to come to Las Vegas to party because we got a lot to talk about.
- 3:37Dayna Roselli: One thing we're gonna start with is, you know, it's not necessarily a gripe, but we do feel like, you know, paid parking is still such a hot topic in Las Vegas.
- 3:45Dayna Roselli: And you and I looked at each other and said, we've got to talk about this on the podcast because we were in a certain situation a couple weeks ago, and we thought, we gotta talk about this.
- 3:55Dayna Roselli: Because we went to a show and we were at a property that allows like three or four hour free parking for locals.
- 4:03Dayna Roselli: And once the show was done, because we went a little early, got our seats, you know, blah, blah, blah.
- 4:09Dayna Roselli: Um, we were walking out and we thought, well, should we like have a drink or should we do some gambling?
- 4:14Dayna Roselli: Or do you want to hang out, like go to this patio?
- 4:16Dayna Roselli: And then we thought, our free parking is over in uh 25 minutes.
- 4:22Dayna Roselli: So yeah, we all looked at each other and went, let's go.
- 4:25Dayna Roselli: And there were four of us.
- 4:26Sean McAllister: Yeah, and we were just like, uh, I mean, I guess we'll just call it a night.
- 4:31Sean McAllister: But we the point is, we would have stayed longer if we didn't have the clock ticking on the on the parking situation.
- 4:41Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 4:42Sean McAllister: And it's different than like being downtown in a city where you have to go feed the meter again so you don't get a ticket.
- 4:49Sean McAllister: You know, this is like depending on where you are, it can be upwards of uh$30 that you just instantly get charged.
- 4:59Dayna Roselli: Yeah, some are$21,$28,$30.
- 5:02Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's a lot.
- 5:03Dayna Roselli: And people are being like, oh, just pay.
- 5:04Dayna Roselli: It's like pay it, but then what?
- 5:06Dayna Roselli: Then spend money on the property in the property as well.
- 5:09Dayna Roselli: So then you're spending money in the property, then on the way out, you're gonna pay too.
- 5:13Dayna Roselli: So it's like, eh, you know what?
- 5:15Dayna Roselli: I'm just gonna go home.
- 5:16Sean McAllister: I mean, it and people who say that, you're right.
- 5:20Sean McAllister: I could just go and and pay the parking, but I don't want to on principle.
- 5:25Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 5:26Dayna Roselli: Yeah, principle.
- 5:27Dayna Roselli: Well, principle and yeah, and the fact that it's an extra$25 to$30.
- 5:33Dayna Roselli: That's a lot of money.
- 5:34Sean McAllister: That's like a burger or a beverage or I just got a car car wash the other day for$5.99.
- 5:41Dayna Roselli: That would have been four car washes.
- 5:46Dayna Roselli: I love getting my car washed.
- 5:47Dayna Roselli: I'm obsessed.
- 5:48Sean McAllister: So that's a month's worth of car wash.
- 5:50Dayna Roselli: It is.
- 5:50Dayna Roselli: So all sorts of that, you know, it adds up.
- 5:52Dayna Roselli: No, anyway.
- 5:53Dayna Roselli: Um, but I think what we're saying is it's on your mind.
- 5:56Dayna Roselli: And we thought, why, why even have this on our mind as a pay, like a customer who, you know, we do live here and we frequent places and we like to go out to dinner and we like to sit and have a drink and catch up and unwind.
- 6:10Dayna Roselli: We just saw a great show.
- 6:11Dayna Roselli: Maybe we want to sit around and talk about it.
- 6:12Sean McAllister: Right.
- 6:13Sean McAllister: Like and have a and enjoy the rest of the property.
- 6:16Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and but but we didn't.
- 6:18Dayna Roselli: And we thought, what a wasted, we feel like they would have made m so much more money.
- 6:23Sean McAllister: They would have, especially that night.
- 6:24Dayna Roselli: I think that we would have Yeah, stayed a little bit longer.
- 6:28Dayna Roselli: So we would yeah, all that.
- 6:30Dayna Roselli: Because I was like, oh, my friend won on the I don't're not a big slot player, but I have a friend that wanted a certain pop property and he won a lot.
- 6:36Dayna Roselli: And I was like, should we go play the slot machine that he won last time?
- 6:38Dayna Roselli: And we would have like, you know, had fun.
- 6:40Dayna Roselli: Like anyway, I I don't know.
- 6:42Dayna Roselli: I guess I just, you know, it it is frustrating.
- 6:45Dayna Roselli: We don't need to go on and on, but I just thought I don't get the business model there, I guess, because I feel like if and I I I don't want to say everyone shouldn't be free, but if locals were free, people who stayed at the property were free of parking, which that is the case at many properties, um, the whole time, we wouldn't have to think and we'd spend more money, we'd have a better time, and we'd return.
- 7:07Sean McAllister: Right.
- 7:07Sean McAllister: Or just like absorb that somewhere else on your fancy ice cubes or something.
- 7:12Sean McAllister: I don't know.
- 7:13SPEAKER_04: Exactly.
- 7:14SPEAKER_04: Something.
- 7:15Sean McAllister: So anyway, the free uh paid parking is not going anywhere though.
- 7:20Sean McAllister: Nope.
- 7:20Sean McAllister: I think it's here to stay.
- 7:22Sean McAllister: Uh however, there are places that do it right, and Resorts World is one of them, especially if you have their uh rewards program.
- 7:32Sean McAllister: You just download the Resorts World app and you get a QR code, and that gets you free parking.
- 7:36Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and it's just free.
- 7:38Dayna Roselli: There's no time limit.
- 7:38Dayna Roselli: No, it's just where I gotta sit there and think.
- 7:40Sean McAllister: No, I don't want to think.
- 7:41Sean McAllister: Could stay over at Resorts World all day.
- 7:43Dayna Roselli: Headlong week, I'm out on a Friday night, I don't want to think.
- 7:48Dayna Roselli: I want to open the app and scan my QR code and see ya.
- 7:52Dayna Roselli: I live around the corner.
- 7:53Sean McAllister: It's a nice, it's a nice way to do it.
- 7:55Sean McAllister: Yeah, we applaud, we applaud that.
- 7:58Dayna Roselli: Yeah, we do like that option.
- 7:59Dayna Roselli: And I think they're one of the very few that actually do that.
- 8:02Dayna Roselli: So yeah, they are.
- 8:03Dayna Roselli: I don't know if anyone else does that with the app and the rewards program.
- 8:05Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's a good idea.
- 8:06Sean McAllister: Nowhere, uh nowhere that I go.
- 8:09Dayna Roselli: It's like if you come here and you have a rewards app and you are gonna spend money on her property, you park for free.
- 8:16Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 8:16Dayna Roselli: Sounds like a plan to me.
- 8:18Dayna Roselli: Hey, uh, you know what is changing?
- 8:20Dayna Roselli: Something over at the Mirage and a long, long time show is going away.
- 8:25Dayna Roselli: Beatles Love.
- 8:26Dayna Roselli: And I know when I say that, if this is the first time you're hearing about it, you're probably crushed because it is a fabulous show, and I know people have seen it over and over through the years, or at least once if you've visited Vegas.
- 8:37Sean McAllister: Oh, did you just hear my heart shatter into a million pieces?
- 8:40Sean McAllister: It's so good.
- 8:41Sean McAllister: One of my favorite shows has been since it opened over there.
- 8:46Sean McAllister: Um, and I've had the unique opportunity to go do several behind the scenes stories in that theater, which is so cool.
- 8:55Sean McAllister: Talk to uh Sir George Martin, who was the Beatles' longtime producer, who did the original soundtrack of the show with his son Giles, who's continued on uh working on the music as the show has evolved over the years.
- 9:11Sean McAllister: But I it just so many memories over there.
- 9:13Sean McAllister: I was there when American Idol brought the show out here to Las Vegas and they had the final four contestants or whatever.
- 9:21Sean McAllister: Um it was just uh I love that show so much.
- 9:26Dayna Roselli: I mean, the you know, even if you're not a huge Beatles fan, I wouldn't say I run around and play Beatles music in my living room all the time, but whenever I hear their music, I like it.
- 9:35Dayna Roselli: And then when you go to the show, you're like, they do it right because they they make it visual with the music and tell the story.
- 9:42Dayna Roselli: It's just it's it is so good.
- 9:44Dayna Roselli: It's it's uh theater in the round, which again, we always talk about is a great way to experience a show.
- 9:50Dayna Roselli: The cast is so talented.
- 9:52Dayna Roselli: Um, I love all the kids in the show.
- 9:54Dayna Roselli: Yeah, you know, they're great.
- 9:56Dayna Roselli: Um, it's it's a great show.
- 9:58Dayna Roselli: It is sad that it's closing.
- 9:59Dayna Roselli: It's had a historic run over there, but the Mirage is um transforming into the hard rock.
- 10:04Dayna Roselli: And so as they continue to make changes, this is one of the shows that's going away.
- 10:08Dayna Roselli: It's not coming back.
- 10:10Dayna Roselli: The last day is July 7th, and tickets are on sale now for performances through June 29th.
- 10:16Dayna Roselli: You can get it at circdesoleigh.com backslash beatles dash love if you're interested in seeing that again.
- 10:23Dayna Roselli: I remember being at the two or three or four or five-year anniversary, I don't remember what it was, and sitting in front of Yoko Ono.
- 10:29Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 10:29Dayna Roselli: I mean, I was like, how is this happening?
- 10:32Sean McAllister: I know.
- 10:33Sean McAllister: She was there.
- 10:34Sean McAllister: Uh Paul McCartney was there.
- 10:36Sean McAllister: I would I remember being there that night.
- 10:38Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 10:39Sean McAllister: I had actually interviewed Yoko earlier that day.
- 10:43Sean McAllister: And another crazy experience because of the show.
- 10:45Dayna Roselli: And it's funny because I obviously know who Yoko Ono is, but I more know the name from I love the band The Bear Naked Ladies.
- 10:55Sean McAllister: I can be your Yoko Ono.
- 10:58Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, oh my god, you're in my favorite Bear Naked Ladies song.
- 11:02Dayna Roselli: Did you say that to me?
- 11:03Dayna Roselli: No, I didn't.
- 11:04Dayna Roselli: Oh my god.
- 11:04Dayna Roselli: I wanted to.
- 11:07Sean McAllister: That would have been great.
- 11:08Sean McAllister: I know.
- 11:08Sean McAllister: I would have loved to have seen her reaction.
- 11:12Dayna Roselli: But yeah, Sir Paul McCartney was there that day and the whole night.
- 11:16Dayna Roselli: So yeah, we've had some great experiences there.
- 11:20Dayna Roselli: Um, my my good friend and longtime Vegas headliner, Matt Goss, we went with him and we got to go backstage.
- 11:26Dayna Roselli: And I remember him like he was so fascinated with the children in the show, too.
- 11:30Dayna Roselli: Just the fact that, you know, it was a late night show and there were kids in there and they were acting and they were talented, and you just thought, you know, he was talking to them about their way of life, you know, the way they do their schoolwork, and then they're in a show and they're so young.
- 11:43Dayna Roselli: And we just thought the whole thing, the whole production and cast, it was just so interesting.
- 11:48Sean McAllister: It is.
- 11:48Sean McAllister: And you know, it as I sit here thinking about all this, I'm like, man, we're getting to the point now where we've been in Las Vegas covering news and entertainment, like from the time Beatles Love opened, yeah, and now seeing it come full circle after a long, incredible run and and be wrapping up here.
- 12:10Sean McAllister: It's uh kind of the end of a an era in Vegas Entertainment.
- 12:15Dayna Roselli: It sure is.
- 12:16Dayna Roselli: You know, I think I have uh a Paul McCartney video on my phone, but I think it was from my like digital camera.
- 12:24Sean McAllister: Oh, probably.
- 12:25Sean McAllister: It probably was.
- 12:26Dayna Roselli: Or it was like a very, very early on iPhone.
- 12:29Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 12:30Dayna Roselli: Very early on, like the first model.
- 12:32Dayna Roselli: I'll have to find it because I know it's like a little like digitized, but it's a great video.
- 12:37Dayna Roselli: Anyway.
- 12:38Dayna Roselli: Yes, sad to see uh, you know, that show close.
- 12:41Dayna Roselli: And there are gonna be a lot of changes happening at the Mirage coming up over the next couple, well, few years really, as they transform into the the Hard Rock, which you know they're still they're run by the Hard Rock right now, but it's still the Mirage name.
- 12:54Sean McAllister: Yeah, so I guess if Beatles Love is closing, that means that the clock is really starting to tick on the Mirage volcano.
- 13:02Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that's true.
- 13:03Dayna Roselli: And the other theater too, right?
- 13:05Dayna Roselli: Um Shin Lim.
- 13:07Dayna Roselli: And we had that guy write us say saying he saw Shinlim driving down the highway.
- 13:12Dayna Roselli: So we need like a Shinlim like check.
- 13:15Dayna Roselli: Like, is Shin okay?
- 13:17Dayna Roselli: Where is he going?
- 13:18Dayna Roselli: Is he gonna switch theaters?
- 13:19Dayna Roselli: What's happening?
- 13:20Sean McAllister: I don't know.
- 13:20Sean McAllister: We'll need to A wellness check.
- 13:22Sean McAllister: We've got some investigation to do.
- 13:25Sean McAllister: Add that to the to-do list for sure.
- 13:29Dayna Roselli: And you know, Sean, I want to remind everyone Vegas Reveal is presented by Level Up Law.
- 13:33Dayna Roselli: You don't have to live in Nevada to get help from Level Up.

- 14:18Sean McAllister: Now to some food news from the strip.
- 14:20Sean McAllister: The NFL's all-time leading rusher now has a restaurant right there on Las Vegas Boulevard.
- 14:27Sean McAllister: We're talking about Emmett Smith.
- 14:29Dayna Roselli: Yeah, we stopped by the grand opening of Emmett's Vegas at Fashion Show and talked to the man himself.
- 14:36Dayna Roselli: So when did you decide, hey, I want a steakhouse and I want it in Vegas?
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: About two years ago, two and a half years ago, I was approached by some partners of mine, and they asked me, have I ever thought about opening up my own steakhouse?
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: I said, no, not really.
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: Never thought about opening up a restaurant at all.
- 14:50SPEAKER_00: They said that, well, if if there was a unique opportunity, would you even consider it?
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: I said, yes.
- 14:57SPEAKER_00: I said, so where's the unique opportunity?
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: Came out?
- 14:59SPEAKER_00: Saw the location.
- 15:01SPEAKER_00: I was like, yes.
- 15:03SPEAKER_02: Let's do it.
- 15:04SPEAKER_02: So, Emmett, when you go out to dinner, what kind of experience do you expect?
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: I expect quality food, consistent every time I come.
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: If I love it, I'm gonna be back again.
- 15:15SPEAKER_00: If I got great service, I'm gonna be back again.
- 15:18SPEAKER_00: And if the atmosphere's right and the people I'm with are enjoyable, I'll be back again.
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: So that's what we'll get here?
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: That's what I'm expecting you to have right here.
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: Because you know what?
- 15:28SPEAKER_00: You're gonna come here, you're not gonna come just initially by yourself, but if you do, you're gonna enjoy yourself.
- 15:33Dayna Roselli: I love that, I love that.
- 15:34Dayna Roselli: Hey, do you frequent Vegas a lot?
- 15:36Dayna Roselli: Do you like Las Vegas?
- 15:37Dayna Roselli: Did you visit it a lot before you decided to open a steakhead?
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, since 91.
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: And uh probably at least once or twice a year.
- 15:46SPEAKER_00: But it has picked up over the last, let's call it six or seven years.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 15:52Dayna Roselli: You're a Super Bowl champ.
- 15:53Dayna Roselli: What do you think of all the sports here in Las Vegas?
- 15:55Dayna Roselli: I mean, we have really changed it up since about what, 2017-ish?
- 15:59SPEAKER_00: You know, it's been a long time coming.
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: I mean, all the other cities, and I think Vegas and sports are starting to embrace each other, and it's part of sports and entertainment.
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: It's a different level of entertainment.
- 16:10SPEAKER_00: You got a whole lot of uh other options.
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: Uh there's a lot of gambling going on, and people have gambling have grown in the sports world, whether there's fantasy football or whether there's odds and all those kind of things.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: But this place is is live.
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: This place is ready, and this place is born to hold sporting events and entertainment and events.
- 16:31Dayna Roselli: And I mean, with so many sporting events, I mean it's a great place to have a steakhouse with your name on it.
- 16:35Dayna Roselli: It kind of goes together.
- 16:36Dayna Roselli: This is the time.
- 16:37SPEAKER_00: You know what?
- 16:37SPEAKER_00: You come watch a game or watch a sporting event.
- 16:39SPEAKER_00: You gotta eat something.
- 16:41SPEAKER_02: Why not come over and stop at Emmons?
- 16:43SPEAKER_02: Well, are you already planning the Super Bowl party that's going to be at your place next time a Super Bowl rolls around in Vegas?
- 16:50SPEAKER_02: That's my expectation.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: The next time the Super Bowl is here in Vegas, I expect Emmons to be full, fully open, the bottom and the top, and ready to party.
- 16:59unknown: Nice.
- 17:00SPEAKER_05: And will we run into you here sometimes?
- 17:01SPEAKER_05: Do you think most definitely.
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: Most definitely.
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: You'd be here enough, you're gonna run into me.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: I mean, you be here enough, you will run into me.
- 17:10Dayna Roselli: I love that.
- 17:11Dayna Roselli: Eventually, you're gonna run into me.
- 17:13Sean McAllister: Eventually, hopefully.
- 17:15Dayna Roselli: Hopefully, yeah.
- 17:16Dayna Roselli: What a cool guy.
- 17:16Dayna Roselli: It was great.
- 17:17Dayna Roselli: That was the first time that I had ever met him.
- 17:19Sean McAllister: Yeah, same.
- 17:19Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 17:20Sean McAllister: Everyone was so excited, too.
- 17:22Sean McAllister: I mean, Emmett's a big deal.
- 17:24Dayna Roselli: He really, really is.
- 17:25Dayna Roselli: His restaurant's open 4 p.m.
- 17:27Dayna Roselli: to 11 p.m.
- 17:28Dayna Roselli: Dali.
- 17:28Dayna Roselli: It has a steak and seafood-driven menu.
- 17:30Dayna Roselli: And Sean, I know you were saying you love the idea of the bar seating that they have inside.
- 17:36Sean McAllister: Yeah, their main level.
- 17:37Sean McAllister: Uh there's a huge bar.
- 17:40Sean McAllister: I mean, it takes up most of the space down on the main level.
- 17:45Sean McAllister: But what I love about it is there's not bar top gaming.
- 17:48Sean McAllister: So you can actually go in, sit there, have a good meal.
- 17:51Sean McAllister: You it's like a great happy hour spot, great spot to meet someone for lunch.
- 17:57Sean McAllister: I love it.
- 17:58Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 17:58Dayna Roselli: Well, you can't go to lunch because it opens at four.
- 18:01Sean McAllister: Well, if lunch were late, I would definitely have it there.
- 18:06Dayna Roselli: We're just gonna keep that part in, right?
- 18:08Dayna Roselli: Let's keep it in.
- 18:09Dayna Roselli: It's funny.
- 18:11Dayna Roselli: But yeah, I was gonna say take a load off after a long day of shopping.
- 18:15Sean McAllister: There we go.
- 18:16Sean McAllister: There you go.
- 18:16Sean McAllister: We'll do that.
- 18:17Dayna Roselli: Hey, if you want to see our video version of this interview with Emmett, we'll be posting it soon because it's in our Vegas Revealed TV show this weekend.
- 18:25Sean McAllister: But we will not be going to lunch there.
- 18:27Dayna Roselli: Lunch for you.
- 18:28Dayna Roselli: Sean will be sitting there waiting for the doors to open.
- 18:30Sean McAllister: It'll be the first one in.
- 18:31Sean McAllister: Watch me.
- 18:32Dayna Roselli: The world's 50 Best Restaurants 2024 is gonna be revealed this year at an award ceremony at Win Las Vegas.
- 18:39Dayna Roselli: I know Las Vegas is excited to host this event.
- 18:42Dayna Roselli: It's huge.
- 18:43Dayna Roselli: It's a world event.
- 18:44Dayna Roselli: That's why it's called the World's 50.
- 18:46Dayna Roselli: But also, um, partner hotels like Resorts World and the Venetian are having events too.
- 18:51Dayna Roselli: There's gonna be events like leading up to it, during, after, but the award ceremony is on June 5th.
- 18:56Sean McAllister: Yeah, and we're gonna talk about one of the events that's happening surrounding the 50 best awards.
- 19:03Sean McAllister: Dana, imagine the world's top chefs gathering in one place, presenting their best dishes just for you.
- 19:11SPEAKER_04: Oh, I like that.
- 19:13Sean McAllister: Sounds good, doesn't it?
- 19:14SPEAKER_04: How much are tickets?
- 19:15Sean McAllister: Well, we'll get to that.
- 19:17Sean McAllister: This summer, though, when Las Vegas, we want to entice you with the details first.
- 19:21Sean McAllister: Wynn is hosting Revelry, which is a four-day food, wine, and spirits experience.
- 19:27Sean McAllister: And as I said, there's going to be the best chefs in the world here.
- 19:32Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and Mixologist, too.
- 19:34Dayna Roselli: So I love that.
- 19:34Dayna Roselli: We had a chance to catch up with Elizabeth Blau.
- 19:37Dayna Roselli: She's the event producer.
- 19:38Dayna Roselli: She owns many, many restaurants all across town and in other uh states and other parts of the world, really.
- 19:44Dayna Roselli: Um, but she is a producer of Revelry, and we spoke with her at the win to find out what she has planned for this event.
- 19:55SPEAKER_01: Revelry is a once-in-a-lifetime celebration of just really the most extraordinary chefs in the world.
- 20:02SPEAKER_01: But to really summarize it, we say eat, drink, party.
- 20:04SPEAKER_01: Revelry is gonna be fun.
- 20:07SPEAKER_01: It is going to be the most extraordinary culinary week that Las Vegas has ever seen.
- 20:13SPEAKER_01: And I've been here for 27 years, so I don't say that lightly, but um, it's really extraordinary, and it's such an honor for this city to have been chosen by the world's 50 best to come here out of all cities in in North America, and then for when to host Revelry right after is just going to make us the culinary destination uh not only in America, but really around the world.
- 20:36Dayna Roselli: Well, and the exposure that everyone's gonna be here and get to, you know, be exposed to the restaurants and just the property itself, because even though we think the whole world comes here all the time, sometimes there are people who have never been here when they're all the way across the globe.
- 20:50SPEAKER_01: Especially some of these chefs, some of these world's 50 best restaurants are in such far-flung locations.
- 20:56SPEAKER_01: They've definitely never been to Las Vegas, and there's probably more than 250 journalists.
- 21:02SPEAKER_01: We're here at the event lawn.
- 21:04SPEAKER_01: This is going to be the feast.
- 21:05SPEAKER_01: This is the signature event of Revelry, and this is going to be four really incredible immersive dining experiences.
- 21:14Sean McAllister: Las Vegas is already on the map nationally as a culinary destination, but what about internationally?
- 21:20Sean McAllister: What kind of recognition does this bring to Las Vegas for people around the world?
- 21:26SPEAKER_01: I think there is no bigger recognition around the world than to be hosting 50 Best and Revelry.
- 21:34SPEAKER_01: 50 Best is now recognized as the leader.
- 21:38SPEAKER_01: Um they've got 50 Best Asia, they've got 50 Best Middle East, they've got 50 best bars, and now they just launched 50 best hotels.
- 21:47SPEAKER_01: And so to have it here in North America was enough of an honor, but for it to be here in Las Vegas really puts us on the culinary map.
- 21:56SPEAKER_01: It really says that Las Vegas is beyond just a Gaming city.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: Las Vegas is really the premier entertainment and food city in the world.
- 22:05SPEAKER_01: We had many food festivals here in the past, and some of those have seemed to gone away.
- 22:09SPEAKER_01: And there's great uh food and wine has wonderful festivals, but um it seems that you know a city like Las Vegas really should be anchored in something, and so we think that Revelry is going to be that festival.
- 22:21SPEAKER_01: It's gonna be an immersive art experiences, there'll be um music pop-ups and in all of these different immersive um areas, and you're just gonna wander out here and eat and drink and have a great time.
- 22:32SPEAKER_01: Revelry is really a celebration for for the for the city and and and for people to come and and try all these extraordinary chefs and mixologists and vintners that are gonna kind of bring all of their wonderful goodies here.
- 22:47Sean McAllister: So again, Revelry is taking place June 5th through the 8th over at Win Las Vegas.
- 22:53Sean McAllister: You can get tickets at Las Vegasrevelry.com, and ticket prices start around$300.
- 23:01Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and there's some VIP experiences and different levels and all that kind of thing.
- 23:04Dayna Roselli: If you're a food person, this is gonna be for you.
- 23:07Dayna Roselli: It sounds magical.
- 23:08Sean McAllister: It really does.
- 23:09Sean McAllister: I mean, they are going to stage uh one heck of a festival over there, and it really is like Elizabeth said, you don't get the world's best chefs in one place at the same time.
- 23:22Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and to be able to hop around and try different dishes from each of them, and the themes that they have, and the outdoor lawn and the wind.
- 23:31Dayna Roselli: I was telling you, it sounds like out of a movie, and she's like, it is gonna be like out of a movie, yeah.
- 23:34Dayna Roselli: They will.
- 23:35Sean McAllister: That's how they're going to build it out, I imagine.
- 23:38Dayna Roselli: And I like that she pointed out that um, you know, a lot of festivals have gone away.
- 23:42Dayna Roselli: We aren't a very festival heavy town.
- 23:44Dayna Roselli: So I think this will be good.
- 23:46Sean McAllister: Not as far as food is concerned.
- 23:48Sean McAllister: Music festivals pop up, but but yeah, the longevity of food festivals has not really stuck.
- 23:55Sean McAllister: So hopefully this will be it.
- 23:56Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 23:57Dayna Roselli: All right, let's do some tips now.
- 24:03Dayna Roselli: All right, we promised you at the top of the show that we would tell you where you could get free line dancing lessons.
- 24:09Dayna Roselli: I need it.
- 24:10Dayna Roselli: It's just listen, whenever I see free come across our desk, I go, we gotta tell the people.
- 24:16Dayna Roselli: Um, but listen, you can enjoy live music and get free line dancing lessons over at Stoney's North 40.
- 24:24Dayna Roselli: This is a newer spot, not brand new.
- 24:27Dayna Roselli: It's Stoney's, the brand has been around for a long time.
- 24:29Dayna Roselli: It's for sure.
- 24:30Dayna Roselli: Stoney's down, you know, kind of just south of the strip, but they have a newer one um in the northern part part of town at um Santa Fe Station, which is right there on North Rancho Drive.
- 24:42Dayna Roselli: It's a station's casino.
- 24:43Sean McAllister: Yeah, so Stoney's North 40 is what this location is called.
- 24:49Sean McAllister: And Stoney's is it's a really fun line dancing bar.
- 24:54Sean McAllister: They have live bands coming through there all the time.
- 24:58Sean McAllister: But one of the things that I appreciate, because I've been there when the dancing really gets kicked into high gear, and it's no joke.
- 25:06Sean McAllister: Like people are out there, they know the moves.
- 25:09Sean McAllister: Like, you might get run over if you're out there just floundering around.
- 25:13Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 25:13Dayna Roselli: So you need these free lessons.
- 25:15Sean McAllister: I do, yes.
- 25:17Dayna Roselli: I definitely.
- 25:18Dayna Roselli: But that isn't that fun.
- 25:19Dayna Roselli: 7:30 to 8:30, Tuesdays through Saturdays, you can take free line dance lessons at Stoney's, and I love that.
- 25:26Dayna Roselli: You can go to Stoney's North40.com and then you'll find the dance lessons tabs there and uh for the details.
- 25:35Dayna Roselli: But I mean, yeah, you're right.
- 25:37Dayna Roselli: You might as well know what you're doing and you'll feel more comfortable, and then you'll have a blast.
- 25:41Sean McAllister: Exactly.
- 25:42Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 25:42Dayna Roselli: They have a mechanical bull, too.
- 25:44Sean McAllister: Which is always fun.
- 25:45Dayna Roselli: Yep.
- 25:46Dayna Roselli: And then they, like you said, have tons of live music all the time.
- 25:49Dayna Roselli: We got the April calendar, and I was noticing people like um uh Jake Jacobson is performing.
- 25:55Dayna Roselli: Anyway, um, tickets for the live entertainment there start at just 10 bucks.
- 25:59Sean McAllister: So that's incredible.
- 26:00Sean McAllister: It is.
- 26:00Dayna Roselli: So any anyway, uh Stoney's North North 40.
- 26:03Dayna Roselli: It's hard to say it.
- 26:04Dayna Roselli: Stoneys North40.com for all the info.
- 26:08Sean McAllister: Hey, we also wanted to let you know uh Ocean Prime, it's a restaurant that sits right there on the Las Vegas Strip, beautiful patio overlooking Las Vegas Boulevard.
- 26:19Sean McAllister: They have just launched a Sunday jazz brunch, which is delicious.
- 26:26Sean McAllister: The food, the menu, amazing, the music, incredible.
- 26:30Sean McAllister: But what's also great is that they have a complimentary valet when you go for brunch on Sundays.
- 26:38Dayna Roselli: I know, up until 3 p.m.
- 26:40Dayna Roselli: So it's perfect because a lot of people say it can be a little tricky to find Ocean Prime, and then they're like, well, and then they have kind of the valet only on the side, but here's the deal free valet until three o'clock.
- 26:51Dayna Roselli: No excuse.
- 26:51Dayna Roselli: You can go to Jazz and Bubbles brunch and sit on the terrace, one of the best terror terraces on the strip.
- 26:57Dayna Roselli: It it overlooks the strip, it's a it's beautiful.
- 27:00Dayna Roselli: I mean, we really enjoyed this brunch.
- 27:03Sean McAllister: Oh, I mean, it was it really was such an enjoyable afternoon, and it was a beautiful day outside.
- 27:12Sean McAllister: There were several seafood towers on our table.
- 27:15Sean McAllister: Yeah, so it was good all the way around.
- 27:18Sean McAllister: And uh the espresso martinis are great.
- 27:22Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and they had all sorts of different kinds of bubbly cocktails, and it was really good.
- 27:27Dayna Roselli: And they had a little jazz going up there.
- 27:29Dayna Roselli: It was great to see uh Justin T.
- 27:31Dayna Roselli: Young performing.
- 27:33Dayna Roselli: Um, he was up there playing jazz music, all the hits.
- 27:36Dayna Roselli: It was lovely.
- 27:37Dayna Roselli: So we we do recommend this brunch.
- 27:40Dayna Roselli: Um, and then also got some more information about other things happening at Ocean Prime that I wanted to share.
- 27:45Dayna Roselli: So the Jazz and Bubbles brunch um has the complimentary valet for brunch 11 a.m.
- 27:51Dayna Roselli: to 3 p.m.
- 27:51Dayna Roselli: on all Sundays.
- 27:53Dayna Roselli: Then Thursday through Saturdays, they have live music, Thursday, 6 to 10, and Friday and Saturday, 7 to 11 in the lounge.
- 28:02Dayna Roselli: And that's a great lounge.
- 28:03Sean McAllister: That is a nice lounge.
- 28:04Dayna Roselli: And then also they have a weekday prime lunch, and you can do a business lunch or a midday celebration and enjoy a$45 three-course lunch available weekdays until 4 p.m.
- 28:18Dayna Roselli: in addition to the lunch menu.
- 28:19Dayna Roselli: And valet's only$15 during lunch.
- 28:22Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 28:22Dayna Roselli: So this is good, right?
- 28:24Dayna Roselli: Weekday happy hour.
- 28:26Dayna Roselli: You can enjoy half off the lounge menu, signature cocktails, and select red and white wine by the glass, weekdays in the lounge from three to six.
- 28:35Dayna Roselli: Man alive.
- 28:36Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 28:36Sean McAllister: Those are some offerings.
- 28:38Dayna Roselli: There's those are some offerings, and I have a feeling that, like we just mentioned, it's a it can be a little difficult to find and get to.
- 28:45Dayna Roselli: So you've got to have these things to bring people there.
- 28:47Sean McAllister: But it is worth the experience.
- 28:49Sean McAllister: Because as we were sitting there having brunch, we had this whole conversation about the mentality that uh everyone working at Ocean Prime has, and the answer is always yes.
- 29:01Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 29:01Sean McAllister: Like they're very customer focused and they want you to go and have an incredible time.
- 29:08Dayna Roselli: I think it's a word of mouth thing.
- 29:09Dayna Roselli: Like once you've been, you're gonna tell someone else or recommend it.
- 29:12Dayna Roselli: Like someone called me recently and was like, hey, where should I take my parents to Easter brunch?
- 29:17Dayna Roselli: I can't think, you know, like someplace.
- 29:19Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 29:19Dayna Roselli: And I was like, How about Ocean Prime?
- 29:20Dayna Roselli: And they're like, oh my gosh, Ocean Prime, yes, you know.
- 29:24Dayna Roselli: So I mean, yeah, it's word of mouth, it's top of mind, and and you know, I hope, I hope it continues to do well over there.
- 29:30Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 29:31Dayna Roselli: I've eaten dinner there and brunch and and lunch and all of it.
- 29:35Sean McAllister: Yeah, so free valet for Ocean Prime's Sunday Jazz Brunch.
- 29:40Sean McAllister: Look at that.
- 29:40Sean McAllister: We brought we brought the podcast full circle.
- 29:43Sean McAllister: We went from complaining about parking issues to having no parking issues at brunch.
- 29:48Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 29:49Dayna Roselli: Free valet.
- 29:50Dayna Roselli: And we gave a nice$10 tip.
- 29:52Dayna Roselli: See what you get?
- 29:53Dayna Roselli: The valet folks get a better tip.
- 29:55Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 29:55Dayna Roselli: It's just nicer all around.
- 29:57Sean McAllister: It is.
- 29:57Dayna Roselli: It is.
- 29:58Dayna Roselli: Hey, thanks to Level Up Law, 855 Level Up, or go see them at leveluplaw.com to find out what they're all about.

- 30:30Dayna Roselli: Can't wait to do that.
- 30:32Dayna Roselli: We've got a slew of things coming up.
- 30:34Dayna Roselli: A big event over at Old Red with Blake Shelton.
- 30:37Dayna Roselli: Uh gosh, what else do we have?
- 30:39Sean McAllister: Are you looking at our content wall?
- 30:40Dayna Roselli: I'm looking at our content wall.
- 30:42Dayna Roselli: Hold on, hold on.
- 30:43Dayna Roselli: Uh, we're doing a travel, summer travel um podcast for TV coming up shortly.
- 30:48Dayna Roselli: And then um Chippendales.

- 31:00Sean McAllister: Yeah, we're gonna have a uh great interview coming up with the um head of Dreamscape, the company that owns Rio now.
- 31:08Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 31:08Dayna Roselli: We're we're recording this.
- 31:10Dayna Roselli: Um, and actually for us it's tomorrow.
- 31:12Dayna Roselli: It's not tomorrow for you guys, but yeah, we're going to do that tomorrow.

- 31:24Sean McAllister: There's a lot of there's a lot.
- 31:25Dayna Roselli: The Rio, one of our top the one of the top like most interactive social media posts we get on TikTok.
- 31:34Dayna Roselli: It is still today.
- 31:35Dayna Roselli: I got a question.
- 31:36Dayna Roselli: Do do the tubs come in the bedroom?
- 31:39Dayna Roselli: Like with, you know, I don't know if you've seen the if if you haven't seen our social media, but we do the intory.
- 31:44Dayna Roselli: There's a tub in the one bedroom suite in the bedroom.
- 31:48Dayna Roselli: Okay?
- 31:49Dayna Roselli: It's in the bedroom.
- 31:50Dayna Roselli: Someone wrote today, is the tub in every one bedroom suite bedroom?
- 31:54Dayna Roselli: I'm like, I don't know the answer to that.
- 31:56Dayna Roselli: I'm interviewing the guy that runs the place tomorrow, I'll find out.
- 31:59Dayna Roselli: But every day there's a question.
- 32:01Sean McAllister: There is I know it's popular.
- 32:03Sean McAllister: People want to know, and which uh leads us to if you want to know something about Las Vegas, let us know and we'll find it out for you and talk about it here on the podcast.
- 32:15Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 32:15Dayna Roselli: You know, I feel like the Rio is a budget-friendly hotel, and we do think about you know the glamorous things and the luxury, and we get to do wonderful things, but it is important to keep in mind that a lot of the Las Vegas customers are budget friendly or they have priorities and other things.
- 32:32Dayna Roselli: They want to gamble and they don't want to spend a lot of money on a room.
- 32:36Sean McAllister: Or go to shows, right?
- 32:38Sean McAllister: Or go to dinners or clubs, yes.
- 32:43Dayna Roselli: By the way.
- 32:43Sean McAllister: Oh, oh, oh, uh, oh.
- 32:45Sean McAllister: Does Roselli have another club?
- 32:47Dayna Roselli: No, I have it on our agenda.
- 32:48Dayna Roselli: We were with my friend the other day that works at XS, and we told her, I told you we are going to see the chain smokers at 2 a.m.
- 32:56Dayna Roselli: on a weekend one time this summer.
- 32:58Dayna Roselli: So I'm excited for it.
- 33:00Sean McAllister: And I'm already starting to get my.
- 33:02Sean McAllister: Get your napkin.
