- 1:38Speaker 3: I don't believe you, Buzzer. I don't believe you had
- 1:41Speaker 3: a gutcher or a roller. I've had both of those.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Dull ups used to be my thing.
- 1:44Speaker 4: And then says I've had a gusher, Please mark that.
- 1:47Speaker 3: Yeah, my kids used to have them all the time,
- 1:49Speaker 3: so I got the gusher thing would be what I mean?
- 1:52Speaker 3: Drop that drop got worse, got worse. The gusher thing.
- 1:58Speaker 3: I love fruit gu ushers. Yeah, they're not bad at all.
- 2:01Speaker 3: They're fun. Does more than rollups roll ups. I do
- 2:04Speaker 3: not care for it.
- 2:05Speaker 2: I don't care if they come with a tongue tat.
- 2:07Speaker 2: I I give me a gusher. It's like a fruit tortilla. Right, No, no,
- 2:11Speaker 2: roll up it.
- 2:12Speaker 3: I mean it's not wrong. The roll it out. It's
- 2:14Speaker 3: flat and round, right, yeah, but it's not like that wide.
- 2:17Speaker 2: It's like only a couple of inches wide and roll
- 2:19Speaker 2: it out's supposed to be made a real fruit.
- 2:20Speaker 3: O got it? Pure sugar.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a high fruit toast, corn syrup, pancake, to jack.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Look when high fruit doose corns arup is the first ingredient,
- 2:30Speaker 2: then the fruit additive, don't it's like number six oh man. Yeah,
- 2:35Speaker 2: fruit gushers when you bite down and then you have
- 2:37Speaker 2: to have a little small confession later at church. Yeah,
- 2:41Speaker 2: you guys know that whole thing, the ingredients, right, the
- 2:43Speaker 2: order of predominance. Yes, like so the number one thing
- 2:46Speaker 2: you read is what it's most and uh like that's
- 2:48Speaker 2: when I started doing the soda thing. I started going
- 2:50Speaker 2: to other products, like I had a Gatorade on the
- 2:52Speaker 2: golf course the other day and I looked at it.
- 2:54Speaker 2: I was like, well, gatad's up that bad? And I
- 2:55Speaker 2: looked at it thing I'm like, oh, yeah, you're right.
- 2:56Speaker 2: It's just twenty grams less sugar than a soda. It's
- 2:59Speaker 2: like drinking Minesda. Looking at the fruit gushers and ingredients. Yeah,
- 3:03Speaker 2: it's a corn syrup all right. The first thing it
- 3:06Speaker 2: says is sugar. Yeah, corn syrup, dried corn syrup. This
- 3:10Speaker 2: is getting real Bubba Gump, real fast salt corn syrup
- 3:17Speaker 2: cage And whoa, that was weird.
- 3:19Speaker 3: You got me a coke four oh seven.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Shouldn't be drinking that, I say for to one, Hey,
- 3:24Speaker 2: I saw a question today and I wanted to ask
- 3:26Speaker 2: you guys real quick. Another way, I love throwing something
- 3:28Speaker 2: out early in the program so we can get a
- 3:29Speaker 2: lot of text about it, maybe some talkbacks. And this
- 3:32Speaker 2: is the question. Because we love movies. I missed Emily
- 3:35Speaker 2: the Movie Girl this Monday because I had jury duty.
- 3:37Speaker 2: I was talking to today about about movies coming up
- 3:41Speaker 2: in September. The BBC had a really cool list of
- 3:44Speaker 2: ten movies you need to see coming up in September
- 3:47Speaker 2: and dude, there's some bangers coming out in September. I
- 3:49Speaker 2: don't know if you know what's going on, Like Brad
- 3:51Speaker 2: Pitt has a movie coming out, Andrew Garfield has a
- 3:53Speaker 2: movie coming out, but the one I'm paying attention to
- 3:55Speaker 2: the most.
- 3:56Speaker 3: Have you guys seen the.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Trailer for this Korean horror moviepe Nope called Hope No.
- 4:04Speaker 2: It looks completely insane, post apocalyptic kind of thing with
- 4:12Speaker 2: a monster like you've never seen before in your blanking life.
- 4:16Speaker 2: And it's number ten on that list. It's supposed to
- 4:18Speaker 2: be the Summers bang out crazy ass horror.
- 4:21Speaker 3: Movie this year.
- 4:22Speaker 2: I am and this is in theaters right, It will
- 4:25Speaker 2: be in theaters when it comes out. I'm about to
- 4:27Speaker 2: join one of the streaming services. We were talking about
- 4:30Speaker 2: it on Monday. I was just trying to pick between
- 4:32Speaker 2: which one, the AMC or the regal one where it's
- 4:34Speaker 2: like twenty five bucks a month. Yeah, you can go
- 4:36Speaker 2: to as many movies as you want. Like, even if
- 4:38Speaker 2: you did both of that for twenty five bucks a month,
- 4:40Speaker 2: even if you did both, that's cheaper than going once
- 4:43Speaker 2: at full price to either one of them for a
- 4:44Speaker 2: couple Yeah. Yeah, yeah, dude, I mean I would do
- 4:46Speaker 2: both of those. Why wouldn't you be? I mean, I
- 4:49Speaker 2: guess most of the movies go to both of them anyway, right, yeah, yeah,
- 4:52Speaker 2: So you pick what's more convenience.
- 4:54Speaker 3: Yeah, that's right, the one closest to you, which is announcement, right.
- 4:57Speaker 2: That would be for AMC, So real quick, AMC and
- 5:00Speaker 2: includes their Imax and Doby movies.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Oh wow.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Uh And it's free to do it on to book
- 5:06Speaker 2: your tickets, reserve your ticket. Oh, that's cool online with
- 5:09Speaker 2: but you only get four movies a week, which is
- 5:11Speaker 2: more than I'd ever say. One of the weirdest things
- 5:14Speaker 2: about going to a movie these days is nobody man's
- 5:16Speaker 2: the box office anymore. Like you just buy your tickets
- 5:19Speaker 2: at the at the concession stand, or you walk up
- 5:21Speaker 2: to the kiosk. That used to be like one of
- 5:23Speaker 2: the things. You know, you were at the movies, you're
- 5:25Speaker 2: you know, somebody was selling you a ticket ticket walk
- 5:27Speaker 2: around exactly. You had to wear the jacket in that
- 5:30Speaker 2: little hat and always looks really cold in that booth.
- 5:34Speaker 2: And then you had the speaker, and then you had
- 5:36Speaker 2: the hand little semi circle.
- 5:39Speaker 3: To get underneath transaction a small petting zoo kind of thing.
- 5:44Speaker 2: So here's the question that was asked about movies that
- 5:47Speaker 2: I found fascinating, by the way, and uh, you tell
- 5:51Speaker 2: me what you think, right, And this is gonna I
- 5:53Speaker 2: bet Ross will giffat this immediately, right, GUFA. If you
- 5:58Speaker 2: had to show a movie to a person that it's
- 6:00Speaker 2: never seen a movie before to explain how awesome movies are,
- 6:04Speaker 2: what movie would that be? So if you met somebody
- 6:07Speaker 2: who had never seen a movie and you're like, I'm
- 6:09Speaker 2: gonna show you something and this is gonna change your life,
- 6:12Speaker 2: what movie would you show them to prove to them
- 6:15Speaker 2: that movies are unbelievable like they are. They can convey emotion,
- 6:19Speaker 2: they can convey excitement, sadness. Like, what movie would you
- 6:23Speaker 2: show them to take them through and prove to them
- 6:26Speaker 2: that movies were that movie? I've got too right off?
- 6:29Speaker 3: Rip?
- 6:29Speaker 2: How old is this person? Great question? God, dog, that
- 6:33Speaker 2: is a great question. Then let's go thirty five, just
- 6:35Speaker 2: for funds. Thirty five Is that too old?
- 6:37Speaker 5: No?
- 6:38Speaker 3: No, I think that's that's a median thing.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Right, So I'm gonna say this thirty five year old
- 6:42Speaker 2: has a higher reading level.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Well, yeah, thirty five.
- 6:45Speaker 2: You've gone through either your high school, your college, the
- 6:47Speaker 2: Horse movie. Yeah, yeah, got another question. Where is this
- 6:50Speaker 2: person from. Are they like from another planet or they
- 6:53Speaker 2: grew up never seeing a movie.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Let's just say here in America, Midwest, as literally as
- 6:58Speaker 3: notebook papers you can get, like as notebook papers you
- 7:02Speaker 3: can get, won't get offended by the way understands the idea.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Of you know of So I was going to say,
- 7:09Speaker 2: like Forrest Gump. I think that's an incredibly good choice. However,
- 7:14Speaker 2: that references a lot of things about you know, you'd
- 7:16Speaker 2: have to know Kennedy and and be War and had
- 7:19Speaker 2: that understanding, so that if this person has an understanding
- 7:23Speaker 2: of us, it's yeah, you would assume that the person
- 7:25Speaker 2: educated just didn't see a movie like and by the way,
- 7:28Speaker 2: I grew up with people who were not allowed to
- 7:29Speaker 2: watch television. This is not that far This is not
- 7:33Speaker 2: that far out of the realm. There are some Christian sects, sects,
- 7:37Speaker 2: that's a real, real weird word. But they were not
- 7:41Speaker 2: allowed to watch TV. So when they would come to
- 7:42Speaker 2: our house, their kids would bummerish the TV because they
- 7:44Speaker 2: don't get that they didn't get to watch it. So
- 7:46Speaker 2: it's not that far out of the realm possibility, you say,
- 7:49Speaker 2: Forrest Gump. Still you stick with that one. I'll go
- 7:51Speaker 2: with that one. This is such a good question. I
- 7:54Speaker 2: got another Tom Hanks movie, Apollo thirteen. Yeah, that's another
- 7:58Speaker 2: that one. I got two of them, and my first
- 8:00Speaker 2: one is gonna be a little crazy for you, guys.
- 8:02Speaker 2: My first one's one hundred years old. Almost are you're
- 8:06Speaker 2: gonna go Citizen Kane. No, I don't think that's magical enough.
- 8:13Speaker 2: I think a movie needs to be magical. It would
- 8:15Speaker 2: have to have a answer, guys, Wizard of Oz or
- 8:20Speaker 2: for me, it would be like Raiders, Raiders of the
- 8:23Speaker 2: Last Dart perfect story, perfect everything.
- 8:25Speaker 3: You know.
- 8:26Speaker 2: It's got excitement, it's got it's got the exhilaration, it's
- 8:29Speaker 2: got some romance.
- 8:32Speaker 3: What do you think, dever? Would you? Would you use
- 8:33Speaker 3: an animated movie there?
- 8:35Speaker 4: No, I would do Titanic and Close Encounters of.
- 8:37Speaker 2: The Third Ones. Oh, I haven't seen that since, like
- 8:41Speaker 2: it came out.
- 8:43Speaker 6: And when you watch it again, you're like, God, I
- 8:45Speaker 6: forgot how much this movie blew my mind?
- 8:47Speaker 2: You did so crazy because I was so young. Then
- 8:50Speaker 2: I think I appreciate it anew as an adult. When
- 8:53Speaker 2: you when you see that movie in the theater, I
- 8:55Speaker 2: remember this even as a kid. When that thing is
- 8:58Speaker 2: and it does that really low win and it moves
- 9:01Speaker 2: your hair when I had hair, That's what happened to me.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Show that movie too off close, encounter my hair off ross?
- 9:09Speaker 2: Where you at, Doug, dude, it's a tough one. I
- 9:12Speaker 2: love this question. I'm obsessed with it. I smoked this
- 9:15Speaker 2: question if I could. Yeah, yeah, yeah, and I've smoked.
- 9:17Speaker 3: Some wild things.
- 9:18Speaker 2: I'm going to actually take this as literal as possible.
- 9:22Speaker 2: They've never seen a movie before, never seen a movie before.
- 9:24Speaker 2: They've never seen a movie before. I am actually surprised
- 9:28Speaker 2: with my two answers because the first one is an
- 9:32Speaker 2: animated film. Okay, I'm going to give them inside out.
- 9:36Speaker 3: I don't even know what that is.
- 9:37Speaker 2: You've never Oh god, that's why he hasn't seen it. Yeah,
- 9:40Speaker 2: well maybe he needs to.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Yeah, there's like fourteen things I would love for Jim
- 9:47Speaker 2: to digest, okay and inside out?
- 9:50Speaker 4: Which one anger would be start with?
- 9:52Speaker 3: I just think that would be that. Can I watch it?
- 9:54Speaker 3: Even down with the beer?
- 9:55Speaker 2: I would show a damn alien that movie if they
- 9:58Speaker 2: first showed up to this plane it and go, this
- 10:01Speaker 2: is what we feel?
- 10:03Speaker 3: What do you feel?
- 10:05Speaker 2: And then the alien would be like, we don't talk
- 10:07Speaker 2: like that.
- 10:08Speaker 3: We understand English.
- 10:09Speaker 2: It's a kids it's a kid's movie. It's a human movie. Man,
- 10:13Speaker 2: you take that back.
- 10:14Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a Pixar animated film.
- 10:17Speaker 6: Yes, it's a jack in fact called inside Out to
- 10:20Speaker 6: one of the best movies he's seen in the last
- 10:21Speaker 6: couple of years.
- 10:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't even can you really liked it? I did.
- 10:28Speaker 3: I don't say anything check with that anything I've done.
- 10:33Speaker 2: And then and then that would be your first movie experience.
- 10:37Speaker 2: And then I would be like, and also, I believe
- 10:40Speaker 2: you need to have some live action in there, so
- 10:42Speaker 2: I'll go catch me if you can.
- 10:46Speaker 3: And just a really.
- 10:47Speaker 2: Easy movie to go down and there's action, there's some comedy, charming.
- 10:53Speaker 2: You don't get a connection to that movie, right, Never
- 10:55Speaker 2: tell you that? No, Yeah, that guy is it? Frank,
- 10:57Speaker 2: I'm a fraud. I'm a scam artist, Frank Abergnail And yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 11:02Speaker 2: I am.
- 11:02Speaker 3: So when that guy got busted.
- 11:04Speaker 2: And for people who don't know, this guy was a
- 11:07Speaker 2: Leo DiCaprio portrayed him, and he was like this big
- 11:10Speaker 2: con artist and he would assume different identities and he
- 11:13Speaker 2: did it for years scamming people, kiting checks, all.
- 11:15Speaker 3: Kinds of stuff.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Well, when he got busted, he he went to he
- 11:19Speaker 2: went the good guy and others he started to kind of,
- 11:21Speaker 2: you know, for lack of a better kind of metaph
- 11:23Speaker 2: working for the casino. He went for the government to
- 11:25Speaker 2: help them find other people who are doing this.
- 11:28Speaker 3: Well.
- 11:28Speaker 2: While doing that, he went on like a tour around
- 11:31Speaker 2: the US visiting banks to kind of tell people in banks,
- 11:34Speaker 2: like teach them how to spot forge checks and stuff
- 11:37Speaker 2: like it. It turned out one of the banks he went
- 11:38Speaker 2: to was a bank my mother worked at. So my
- 11:40Speaker 2: mother was in a room with Frank Abergnail at one point.
- 11:43Speaker 2: N Yeah, being kind of taught how to find forge checks.
- 11:48Speaker 3: Cool.
- 11:48Speaker 2: But those are two movies that you don't need to
- 11:51Speaker 2: see any other movie for it.
- 11:54Speaker 3: You can understand it.
- 11:55Speaker 2: They are low reading levels, but they are impactful.
- 11:59Speaker 3: Dude.
- 11:59Speaker 2: The people on our texting service are truthfully some of
- 12:03Speaker 2: those wonderful, wild, horrible.
- 12:05Speaker 3: Human beings that we have.
- 12:07Speaker 2: One dude actually type the Exorcist like you're gonna like
- 12:10Speaker 2: the first first experience in a movie, You're gonna traumatize
- 12:14Speaker 2: somebody like I was as a child or Jaws. All right,
- 12:19Speaker 2: four oh seven nine one six. By the way, this
- 12:21Speaker 2: thing is filling up our texting service. You're welcome to
- 12:23Speaker 2: keep going. I got a lot of stuff going on today.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Four oh seven nine one six four one text us
- 12:28Speaker 2: at seven seven zero three one, Jack.
- 12:29Speaker 3: I don't know if you know this.
- 12:31Speaker 2: According to USA Today, two of the best pizza restaurants
- 12:34Speaker 2: in the United States of America are within grasp one
- 12:38Speaker 2: can hear us right now? Really, I'll tell you who
- 12:40Speaker 2: that is later because you may have a little connection
- 12:43Speaker 2: with it.
- 12:43Speaker 3: WHOA What do we have for news?
- 12:45Speaker 6: The National Hurricane Center in Miami is monitoring two systems.
- 12:49Speaker 6: Florida tax Watch unveils a website to help voters navigate
- 12:52Speaker 6: Amendment three, and two Mexican fishermen are found floating in
- 12:56Speaker 6: a cooler, because what else would you be founding. But
- 13:00Speaker 6: we'll talk about that and more coming up next during
- 13:02Speaker 6: JCS news.
- 13:03Speaker 2: You got to take a little break. We'll come back
- 13:04Speaker 2: and get Dev's news and continue on with the Jim
- 13:06Speaker 2: Colbert Show.
- 13:11Speaker 3: Jim, I like this question.
- 13:12Speaker 7: This was a good one.
- 13:14Speaker 8: I agree with you on like The Wizard of Oz,
- 13:17Speaker 8: And then I would pick a movie. You know, of course,
- 13:20Speaker 8: one hundred years later to show them the difference from
- 13:24Speaker 8: how it used to be thirty five millimeter yeah, to
- 13:28Speaker 8: now like an Avengers movie, like maybe like Infinity War
- 13:34Speaker 8: End Game, to show them the difference of the technology.
- 13:42Speaker 5: Colbert and Crewe first movie, I'd have to be terrible
- 13:48Speaker 5: and show them the shining with Jack Nicholson.
- 13:51Speaker 4: Then as a palate cleanser Christmas story.
- 13:56Speaker 3: Happy, Yeah, there you go. You know, to be honest
- 13:59Speaker 3: with you. When I chose what was the second one?
- 14:01Speaker 2: Raiders, I had to pick over one of my favorite
- 14:04Speaker 2: movies of all time because I think it's one of
- 14:06Speaker 2: the great not revenge films, but kind of like that
- 14:10Speaker 2: of all time attraction. No, no, no, it's nothing like that.
- 14:13Speaker 2: It's Back to the Future. Oh yeah, I would love.
- 14:16Speaker 2: I mean Back in the Future is a perfect dude.
- 14:18Speaker 2: That's that's It's a perfect movie. Everything about it is perfect.
- 14:22Speaker 2: It's perfectly shot, the acting is perfect, the dialogue is perfect.
- 14:25Speaker 2: The characters could not be better. I mean, Biff gets
- 14:28Speaker 2: you so pissed off you want to go through the
- 14:30Speaker 2: screen and fighting yourself.
- 14:31Speaker 3: That's what it's booze to do. That's the right answer.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Yeah, and then the redemp shit of the God Dog
- 14:36Speaker 2: give us better than life. So good, all right, four
- 14:39Speaker 2: US seven nine one six one four one text us

- 14:49Speaker 2: that very much. Welcome back. I'm Jim.
- 14:51Speaker 3: Jack and Ross are right over there, and that has
- 14:53Speaker 3: your news. It's tough, Jackie.
- 14:58Speaker 9: Wow, it's just kind of got a everything.
- 15:01Speaker 2: It's in my contracted here's the news on the Jim
- 15:04Speaker 2: Colmer Show.
- 15:05Speaker 6: To be honest, it's his eyes, right, it's his eyes,
- 15:08Speaker 6: his dreamy hair and eyes. JCS news brought to you
- 15:11Speaker 6: by that mortgage guy. Don give him a listen tomorrow
- 15:14Speaker 6: morning when he's host of the Home Loans radio show.
- 15:17Speaker 3: All Right.
- 15:17Speaker 6: The National Hurricane Center in Miami is tracking two areas
- 15:21Speaker 6: of disturbed weather in the Atlantic, but the good news
- 15:23Speaker 6: is for US neither poses an immediate threat to Florida
- 15:27Speaker 6: or the US. One system is located north northeast of
- 15:30Speaker 6: the Azores and could briefly take on tropical or subtropical
- 15:33Speaker 6: characteristics as it moves toward Portugal and northwestern Spain this weekend.
- 15:38Speaker 6: The second system is a weak area of low pressure
- 15:41Speaker 6: several one hundred miles east southeast of Bermuda that's producing
- 15:44Speaker 6: scattered showers and thunderstorms. Forecasters say development chances remain low
- 15:48Speaker 6: for both systems over the next seven days. Wish we
- 15:51Speaker 6: could say the same for what's facing Hawaii. Yeah yeahah,
- 15:54Speaker 6: another one, another one after dealing with Hurricane LA Yeah exactly,
- 15:58Speaker 6: all right. Flora tax Watch is launching an independent, nonpartisan
- 16:03Speaker 6: website so Floridians can have a one stop shop for
- 16:06Speaker 6: all things Amendment three. CEO Jeff Cotcamp says the Florida
- 16:10Speaker 6: Property Tax Resource Center will help voters examine the pros
- 16:14Speaker 6: and cons of eliminating property taxes based on the value
- 16:18Speaker 6: of homestead homes.
- 16:20Speaker 10: It's obvious there remains much confusion on this amendment, which
- 16:24Speaker 10: again is why Florida Tax Watch takes our responsibilities serious
- 16:28Speaker 10: in providing the most accurate data and research for Floridians.
- 16:33Speaker 6: Proponents say eliminating property taxes on the value of homestead
- 16:36Speaker 6: homes would save homeowners hundreds of thousands of dollars per year,
- 16:39Speaker 6: but opponents say these taxes help pay for vital services
- 16:43Speaker 6: like police and fire. Yep, all right, Uh, you're going
- 16:47Speaker 6: to be shocked. Okay, Bernie Sanders is endorsing Florida Democratic
- 16:51Speaker 6: socialist Angie Nixon in the race for US Senate.
- 16:54Speaker 3: Are you shocked?
- 16:55Speaker 6: Not in the least Man, the Vermont Independent senator said
- 16:59Speaker 6: Thursday that Nixon is the future of the Democratic Party.
- 17:03Speaker 6: Democratic Party rather candidates who will fight for working people
- 17:06Speaker 6: and quote take on the greed of the billionaire class
- 17:09Speaker 6: end quote. Nixon won her primary this week in an
- 17:12Speaker 6: upset over a former National Security Council aid alex Vinman.
- 17:17Speaker 3: Did you see the money difference in that in that race?
- 17:20Speaker 6: I just read an Orlando Sentinel editorial that said, this
- 17:23Speaker 6: guy really kind of took his He just thought he
- 17:25Speaker 6: was going to sail into victory.
- 17:26Speaker 4: He was sitting on.
- 17:27Speaker 2: Millions of dollars, seeing in a half million bucks in
- 17:30Speaker 2: raise cash. I don't even know she had a million.
- 17:32Speaker 4: I don't even know she had no money, and.
- 17:33Speaker 3: She beat the piss out of it. And it wasn't
- 17:35Speaker 3: even close.
- 17:35Speaker 6: It wasn't even close, exactly. It was amazing to see that.
- 17:39Speaker 6: They said that he ran a lackluster campaign and sat
- 17:42Speaker 6: on these millions of dollars because he thought he was
- 17:43Speaker 6: just going to cruise to victory and name recognition alone
- 17:46Speaker 6: and Angie Nixon one where it's traditionally thought that you
- 17:50Speaker 6: know here, I'm sure is most everywhere. If you don't
- 17:52Speaker 6: have money, you can't win political office because you have
- 17:55Speaker 6: to have saturation of the airwaves. Oh yeah, yeah, well
- 17:57Speaker 6: she proved that system wrong. Yeah. So of course Vinman
- 18:01Speaker 6: came to the national spotlight during President Trump's first impeachment.
- 18:05Speaker 6: It could be an uphill battle for Nixon though in
- 18:07Speaker 6: red state Florida, as she faces Republican Senator Ashley Moody,
- 18:11Speaker 6: who easily won her primary.
- 18:14Speaker 3: He immediately threw his support behind her at the minity
- 18:17Speaker 3: loss though.
- 18:17Speaker 6: Oh Diddy, yeah, yeah, okay, that's not something you see
- 18:20Speaker 6: usually these days.
- 18:21Speaker 3: Battle is putting it lightly.
- 18:23Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, oh, I mean that.
- 18:26Speaker 6: The editorial Evin said that, they said Ashley Moody probably
- 18:29Speaker 6: got the candidate she was hoping for because this just
- 18:32Speaker 6: makes her job that much easier. All right, Florida, this
- 18:35Speaker 6: story is near and dear to my heart. Is protecting
- 18:37Speaker 6: more than sixteen hundred acres of working farmland from development.
- 18:41Speaker 11: Yay.
- 18:42Speaker 6: This date is spending nearly seven million dollars on conservation.
- 18:45Speaker 6: Eastman's covering farms and hardy Jefferson, Plutnam, huh, Putnam and
- 18:51Speaker 6: Calhoun Counties. The agreements will preserve the land for agriclarture
- 18:54Speaker 6: agriculture speech, jeesus, that's a tough one, and help protect
- 18:57Speaker 6: the Florida Wildlife Corridor. The farm will remain privately owned.
- 19:02Speaker 3: All right.
- 19:03Speaker 6: I don't know if you guys have heard, but the
- 19:05Speaker 6: frozen blueberry recall is now at the most severe risk
- 19:09Speaker 6: level that they have. The FDA initiated the recall for
- 19:13Speaker 6: the products sold at public supermarkets in early July. We
- 19:16Speaker 6: had talked about the frozen blueberries the organic green Wise brand, right,
- 19:20Speaker 6: and then that ended up being including mixed berries and
- 19:24Speaker 6: ten and forty eight sounds forty eight ounce bags. Public's
- 19:27Speaker 6: reminds customers do not consume the berries and said discard them.
- 19:31Speaker 6: You can take them back to the store for a
- 19:33Speaker 6: full refund. Now, the FDA is issuing a Class one recall.
- 19:38Speaker 6: That's a categorization that includes a reasonable probability that use
- 19:42Speaker 6: of or even exposure to the product will cause quote
- 19:45Speaker 6: serious adverse health consequences or death end quote. And again,
- 19:49Speaker 6: you always think, when something's frozen, how could it have salmonella?
- 19:53Speaker 2: It's so funny that. I saw the ad for it today.
- 19:55Speaker 2: It's just a giant picture of one of those bags
- 19:57Speaker 2: of blueberries and it lists all those things that could
- 19:59Speaker 2: do to It's like, boy, that's the unadded that one.
- 20:02Speaker 3: I know you do not want your product anywhere near
- 20:04Speaker 3: a post like this.
- 20:05Speaker 6: I don't know if your algorithm over the weekend showed
- 20:07Speaker 6: people trying to order food at a restaurant, you know,
- 20:10Speaker 6: like a parody. You know, Oh, I can't have granola,
- 20:12Speaker 6: Oh I can't have all opinions, or I can't have.
- 20:14Speaker 4: Guacamolele and burger sixteen thousand ounces exactly.
- 20:17Speaker 3: It's going great.
- 20:18Speaker 6: The other big story, of course, is while announcing the
- 20:21Speaker 6: cross country arrest of a murder suspect, Indian River County
- 20:24Speaker 6: top cop Eric Flowers said this about the AI infused
- 20:28Speaker 6: license plate readers that have come under scrutiny recently.
- 20:32Speaker 3: It's been a whole lot of talk about flock without flock.
- 20:35Speaker 12: I'm not standing here four days later telling you about
- 20:38Speaker 12: this guy being in custody in West Virginia. So for
- 20:40Speaker 12: everybody who wants to talk about how bad this system is,
- 20:43Speaker 12: we got a murderer behind bars.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Because of this.
- 20:45Speaker 12: We got this guy off the streets because of the
- 20:48Speaker 12: flock system.
- 20:48Speaker 6: Now let me just get through the name of the
- 20:50Speaker 6: suspect they arrested. Give you guys a moment. I'm gonna
- 20:53Speaker 6: need a moment myself. Sheriff Flowers is referring to the
- 20:56Speaker 6: arrest of thirty three year old Matthew waggle.
- 21:01Speaker 4: Ahead in the death of.
- 21:02Speaker 6: A Vero Beach woman in front of her home last week,
- 21:05Speaker 6: and now this comes as a no veto. Man is
- 21:07Speaker 6: accused of destroying a decoy flock camera. Evan Meyer was
- 21:12Speaker 6: arrested on charges of grand theft, criminal mischief, and damaging
- 21:15Speaker 6: electronic equipment. Mayor Sladek said that the police watched the
- 21:19Speaker 6: decoy after they set it up and just waited for
- 21:21Speaker 6: this guy to come down and cut it down, and
- 21:23Speaker 6: they arrested him. Meyer's bond was set at seventy five
- 21:27Speaker 6: one hundred dollars.
- 21:28Speaker 3: We got to get him out. Did I say that
- 21:30Speaker 3: out loud?
- 21:31Speaker 13: Now?
- 21:31Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 21:32Speaker 2: Exactly? Okay. By the way, the mayor of o Vito
- 21:34Speaker 2: had no idea that was going on.
- 21:36Speaker 3: Oh really, yeah?
- 21:36Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 21:37Speaker 2: She actually put a post up today, Megan Sladk. Yeah,
- 21:39Speaker 2: she put a post up to day saying she had
- 21:40Speaker 2: no clue that was going to happen and which she was.
- 21:42Speaker 2: Actually her whole thing was I'm gonna find out who
- 21:44Speaker 2: paid for the decoy?
- 21:45Speaker 3: Right well? Like look man. Well.
- 21:47Speaker 6: In the meantime, the arrest of a now former Sarasota
- 21:50Speaker 6: police officer is raising new questions about the oversight of
- 21:54Speaker 6: Flock license plate reader cameras please say. Corey Waiters was
- 21:57Speaker 6: fired and charged after allegedly using Flock to other law
- 22:00Speaker 6: enforcement databases to run the license plate of the same
- 22:04Speaker 6: vehicle more than three hundred times without a law enforcement purpose.
- 22:09Speaker 6: I think that's people's biggest issues with the problem.
- 22:11Speaker 2: That's the problems the misuse of the system, because it's
- 22:14Speaker 2: an extremely powerful system and it's warrantless, and it's happening enough. Yes,
- 22:19Speaker 2: it's getting in the news enough now it's like what five, six, seven,
- 22:23Speaker 2: eight people have been charged with doing it and that
- 22:25Speaker 2: so far, Harpen is it happening for the amount that
- 22:29Speaker 2: has been made public?
- 22:30Speaker 6: And not only that, you know, when you think about it,
- 22:32Speaker 6: Flock is this third party company that's just been swooping
- 22:36Speaker 6: in municipalities across the country. I mean, we've been finding
- 22:39Speaker 6: that even in some cases, city leaders don't even know
- 22:42Speaker 6: who they've approved these contracts, or you've got several around
- 22:44Speaker 6: the state of Florida that have been.
- 22:45Speaker 3: Whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 22:46Speaker 6: Let's let's take these things offline and really figure out
- 22:49Speaker 6: what's going on here. I know they've added in some
- 22:51Speaker 6: new security features, but.
- 22:54Speaker 2: At the end of the second Batman movie, Batman has
- 22:58Speaker 2: a surveillance system, and also at the end in that movie,
- 23:00Speaker 2: Morgan Freeman destroys that said surveillance system because he knows
- 23:05Speaker 2: what power that system has.
- 23:07Speaker 3: And he was one of the good guys.
- 23:08Speaker 2: And here's one of the good guys, and Batman you
- 23:10Speaker 2: can trust for the most part. I mean he had
- 23:11Speaker 2: his dark side, he did the overall, I'd say he's okay.
- 23:15Speaker 3: All in all dead call me Kodak Black because I'm
- 23:17Speaker 3: no flocking.
- 23:18Speaker 6: Florida Congressman Greg Stuby is pointed to the case as
- 23:21Speaker 6: evidence that the technology can be abused and is renewing
- 23:24Speaker 6: his criticism of government tracking tools. Meanwhile, critics are calling
- 23:28Speaker 6: for greater transparency and stronger safeguards, while Flock says it's
- 23:32Speaker 6: adding new measures to detect suspicious searches and prevent misuse, saying,
- 23:36Speaker 6: now there's going to be almost like a case number
- 23:38Speaker 6: assigned so that you can do your search, But if
- 23:40Speaker 6: you do any other unauthorized search, I'll still be able
- 23:43Speaker 6: to track that. But you have one officer that was
- 23:45Speaker 6: tracking his ex wife's vehicle over seven hundred and seventeen times.
- 23:49Speaker 3: Well that's crazy.
- 23:50Speaker 2: I mean you would think like like with here, when
- 23:51Speaker 2: we when we come to work, you know, we use
- 23:53Speaker 2: a beeper to get into the into the building. Well
- 23:55Speaker 2: that that actually registers when you've come to work when
- 23:57Speaker 2: you leave work?
- 23:58Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 23:58Speaker 2: Yeah, how how many times you walk out that door?
- 24:00Speaker 2: You know, every single time? So I couldn't imagine it
- 24:03Speaker 2: wouldn't be similar to that. You would have to log
- 24:05Speaker 2: in your badge number or something to get into it,
- 24:06Speaker 2: and then that entire session would be recorded and would
- 24:09Speaker 2: send a report.
- 24:10Speaker 6: You know, not sure if you're aware that app actually
- 24:13Speaker 6: tracks you all the time. Try just having it when
- 24:16Speaker 6: you're in the building. Oh yeah, yeah, no, it can
- 24:19Speaker 6: show you everywhere you've been.
- 24:20Speaker 3: Really Oh yeah, dude.
- 24:21Speaker 2: We need flock cameras for the people running flock cameras. No,
- 24:26Speaker 2: you're not wrong, or hear me out, Maybe no flock cameras,
- 24:31Speaker 2: But that's crazy.
- 24:32Speaker 4: That's just I know, that's just insanity.
- 24:35Speaker 3: I remember voting about this. Don't be a flucking maniac.
- 24:37Speaker 6: I don't think we are. Three family members accused of
- 24:40Speaker 6: people against flock cameras seem to be the people who
- 24:42Speaker 6: like to do illegal drugs.
- 24:46Speaker 4: Ross no go ahead.
- 24:50Speaker 3: I think he's got no no. I'm pleading the fifth.
- 24:54Speaker 6: Three family members accused of stealing from gravesites are in
- 24:57Speaker 6: custody in Florida. The Orange County Sheriff's Office announced Wednesday
- 25:00Speaker 6: that Porsche Bancroft turned herself into Seminole County, while her
- 25:04Speaker 6: boyfriend and her mother were arrested in Indiana, where all
- 25:07Speaker 6: three of them are from. The trio allegedly went to
- 25:10Speaker 6: cemeteries around the country instilled valuables from graves. All told,
- 25:14Speaker 6: they're accused of stealing over thirty five thousand dollars worth
- 25:17Speaker 6: of items, but authority say the money isn't the biggest issue.
- 25:20Speaker 6: The Orange County Sheriff's Office notes that having a loved
- 25:22Speaker 6: one's final resting place disturbed and cherished family heirlooms taken
- 25:26Speaker 6: is deeply painful, and no arrest can undo what those
- 25:29Speaker 6: families experienced.
- 25:30Speaker 2: You know, when I saw that they arrested the one
- 25:32Speaker 2: girl first, and then the other two were on the run,
- 25:34Speaker 2: and then all of a sudden, the very next day
- 25:36Speaker 2: they catch the others.
- 25:36Speaker 3: I'm like, oh, somebody rad itasca. Are you run on
- 25:39Speaker 3: your own? Mom and dad, dude.
- 25:42Speaker 6: After yesterday's last second aboard an attempt, SpaceX successfully launched
- 25:46Speaker 6: the Falcon nine rocket this morning. The rocket took off
- 25:48Speaker 6: from Space Launch Complex forty at Cape Canaveral Space Force
- 25:51Speaker 6: Station or on eleven twenty this morning, carrying more STARLINGK satellites.
- 25:55Speaker 6: It's placed a Spaceflight Now's Will Robinson Smith with the call.
- 26:01Speaker 2: And lift off lift off of the Falcon nine rocket
- 26:04Speaker 2: on the Starlink ten Dash thirty nine mission.
- 26:07Speaker 3: The Falcon nine has cleared the tower.
- 26:08Speaker 6: The mission marks the Falcon nine boosters thirtieth flight with
- 26:12Speaker 6: a Drone Jones shrip landing. There are currently how many
- 26:16Speaker 6: Starlink satellites and low Earth.
- 26:18Speaker 2: Orbit fifty eight hundred. I'll go twelve thousand, I don't know,
- 26:25Speaker 2: twelve thousand and one.
- 26:27Speaker 6: Eleven thousand more than eleven thousand STARLINGK satellite. Yeah.
- 26:31Speaker 2: Fortunately, unfortunately, you guys went over and you lose, like
- 26:34Speaker 2: the price is right, So unfortunately I'm the winner.
- 26:38Speaker 3: That's not the question I want to be right about.
- 26:40Speaker 6: All right, Miami Skyline is about to change with the
- 26:44Speaker 6: groundbreaking of the one thousand and forty nine foot Waldorf
- 26:47Speaker 6: Astoria Hotel and Residences, which will become Florida's first super
- 26:52Speaker 6: tall skyscraper by twenty twenty eight.
- 26:54Speaker 3: They know Miami's sinking, right, Yeah.
- 26:57Speaker 6: This landmark project will transform the downtown on waterfront, anchoring
- 27:01Speaker 6: a new era of high rise development in the city.
- 27:04Speaker 6: Not to mention, have you guys ever seen any of
- 27:06Speaker 6: those high rises sway when a really strong hurricane comes
- 27:09Speaker 6: through the trans that they're no way on God's green Earth?
- 27:13Speaker 4: Could you get me?
- 27:13Speaker 3: The good thing is about this tower those If you
- 27:15Speaker 3: buy a penthouse now in thirty years.
- 27:16Speaker 4: And it'll be big truck exactly right there on the
- 27:19Speaker 4: ground level.
- 27:20Speaker 3: Right there.
- 27:21Speaker 2: And every engineer always says like, yep, that's how it's
- 27:23Speaker 2: supposed to sway.
- 27:24Speaker 3: And I'm like, what you built it like that? It's
- 27:28Speaker 3: made out of rubber.
- 27:29Speaker 4: Right, you can't convince me of that.
- 27:31Speaker 2: That's what they do with the buildings in California there
- 27:33Speaker 2: because big bushings on the bottom.
- 27:34Speaker 6: Are supposed to sway to kind of help transfer. But
- 27:36Speaker 6: to me, it's just just too terrifying. Speaking of terrifying,
- 27:40Speaker 6: former NFL star Antonio Brown will be in Tampa for
- 27:43Speaker 6: his Miami court hearing Tuesday on his attempt at second
- 27:46Speaker 6: degree murder charge. The judges approved his request to be
- 27:49Speaker 6: out of town today through next Wednesday so he can
- 27:53Speaker 6: participate in a family photo shoot.
- 27:55Speaker 3: Are you kidding?
- 27:56Speaker 6: It's a lot of family all. Brown is the father
- 27:58Speaker 6: of eight oh man with five of them living with
- 28:02Speaker 6: their mother and the Tampa Bay area. They range an
- 28:05Speaker 6: age from twelve years old to two months old.
- 28:07Speaker 3: Oh wow, my man.
- 28:10Speaker 2: They finally got him in town. They want to get
- 28:12Speaker 2: a picture before he leave.
- 28:13Speaker 6: Yeah, my man ground flames stand your ground self defense
- 28:18Speaker 6: when he shot at someone during a Miami boxing match
- 28:20Speaker 6: in May of twenty twenty five.
- 28:22Speaker 3: He's fast, but a getting out that child's apport.
- 28:26Speaker 15: Is it?
- 28:27Speaker 6: Is it weird to me that a judge says, yeah,
- 28:28Speaker 6: you can be out of town so you can take
- 28:31Speaker 6: part in a family.
- 28:32Speaker 3: It takes balls to ask, I know, what's less even
- 28:35Speaker 3: the thought of that, Like, Hey, dude, I know I've
- 28:37Speaker 3: done a bunch of really insane stuff, but I gotta
- 28:40Speaker 3: make this old Mills shoot.
- 28:41Speaker 2: Dude, I gotta get these seers picks.
- 28:45Speaker 3: My Mantle's a big deal in my family. We're Mantle people.
- 28:49Speaker 3: We're a big Mantle family.
- 28:52Speaker 6: And then finally, two fishermen have been rescued after they
- 28:55Speaker 6: were found floating in a cooler off the coast of Mexico, Mexico.
- 29:02Speaker 3: Go for it, Jack, No, it's that's better live.
- 29:05Speaker 6: The Mexican Navy says they found the men Wednesday, about
- 29:09Speaker 6: one hundred and fifty miles in.
- 29:11Speaker 3: The Mexican He was a big cooler.
- 29:15Speaker 8: It was.
- 29:17Speaker 6: Sorry where they'd been floating in the Pacific Ocean and
- 29:21Speaker 6: a large fishing cooler with no food or water for
- 29:24Speaker 6: how long?
- 29:25Speaker 3: Oh my god, almighty. These stories are always horrifying to me.
- 29:30Speaker 3: Four days, I was going to say three days. I'll
- 29:32Speaker 3: go twelve five days.
- 29:35Speaker 6: Five days and a large fishing cooler, no food or water.
- 29:38Speaker 6: The Navy said they were airlifted to Mexico, where they
- 29:41Speaker 6: received medical attention before being reunited with their families.
- 29:44Speaker 3: For a lot.
- 29:44Speaker 6: It's yeah, it's not clear. It's not clear how the
- 29:47Speaker 6: men became stranded. A video of the rescue shows the
- 29:50Speaker 6: two men in a large blue box bobbing on the
- 29:53Speaker 6: ocean waves. Yeah, as the rescue boat moves in. What
- 29:56Speaker 6: better ad for that company than their What better ad?
- 29:59Speaker 6: The only thing better is if they've been holding a
- 30:01Speaker 6: couple of cold beers exactly. They're not cold, but they're
- 30:04Speaker 6: alive exactly, And that concludes your JCS news need.
- 30:10Speaker 3: I mean igloop. That's a good one.

- 31:17Speaker 17: How are you?
- 31:17Speaker 3: Guys?
- 31:18Speaker 16: Let me just say what an honor it is to
- 31:20Speaker 16: be amongst Orlando's very best one and all of you
- 31:25Speaker 16: for your Best of Orlando recognition.
- 31:27Speaker 3: It's the least we could do for you.
- 31:31Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 31:31Speaker 3: Did you have a good time at the poker tournament?
- 31:34Speaker 14: Oh?
- 31:35Speaker 16: I had a great time, and you know it was
- 31:37Speaker 16: it was really really lovely just to speak to all
- 31:39Speaker 16: the listeners of the show, you know, interact with them
- 31:42Speaker 16: and have a chat like I'll console Bob and Dave
- 31:46Speaker 16: and and Sean and uh. And you know, there's a
- 31:49Speaker 16: guy by the name of Brian, Brian Rice, I believe
- 31:52Speaker 16: his name is he? He actually won the Restaurant Critic
- 31:56Speaker 16: for a day auction, so I'm looking forward to having
- 31:59Speaker 16: a meal with him.
- 32:00Speaker 2: Very nice one, very cold you offer that, by the way.
- 32:02Speaker 2: And I also finished third in the tournament overall, how
- 32:04Speaker 2: about that?
- 32:05Speaker 3: Yeah? Oh yeah, yeah, he did.
- 32:07Speaker 2: And because of your appearance, we actually made the most
- 32:09Speaker 2: money we've ever made on the tournament, and they solely
- 32:13Speaker 2: said that at the present presentation. Look, if it wasn't
- 32:15Speaker 2: for Faya's kara, sure we don't make that extra money
- 32:18Speaker 2: this year. So story regress year.
- 32:21Speaker 16: Yeah, next year fifty grand. Oh yeah, that's what we're
- 32:24Speaker 16: going for for sure.
- 32:25Speaker 3: All right.
- 32:25Speaker 2: Faya is the restaurant critic for The Orlando Weekly, joins
- 32:28Speaker 2: us on Fridays to talk about things to eat and drink.
- 32:31Speaker 3: Food news in the Orlando area. What do you got
- 32:33Speaker 3: for his buddy?
- 32:34Speaker 16: Well, so, what I have is that I thought, because
- 32:37Speaker 16: it was it is the week that we released the
- 32:39Speaker 16: Best of Orlando Picks, that we go through my picks
- 32:42Speaker 16: for some of the best restaurants and eat in Orlando.
- 32:46Speaker 16: So yeah, so we can start off with let's start
- 32:49Speaker 16: off with the best Saturday morning mounch. Oh yeah, And
- 32:55Speaker 16: I think I think we're assos where this is. But
- 32:57Speaker 16: it's a it's it's copy Kaya. It's place at Kaya
- 33:01Speaker 16: Restaurant there in Mills fifty and it's it's it's a
- 33:04Speaker 16: it's a bakery pop up run by James Bear, nominated
- 33:08Speaker 16: cookbook author and and Kaya's pastry chef Cleary s Lamb.
- 33:13Speaker 16: You know the the there are lines there. They're definitely
- 33:16Speaker 16: going to be lines. If you decide to go tomorrow
- 33:19Speaker 16: morning at nine thirty, go go a little early. They'll
- 33:22Speaker 16: like I in in the little write up that I
- 33:24Speaker 16: wrote for the issue, I said, the lines curl around
- 33:27Speaker 16: the restaurant like the laminated rings circling her deeply filled
- 33:31Speaker 16: mango sticky rice danish. When I think we'll be served
- 33:36Speaker 16: tomorrow along with you know, a host of croissants. I
- 33:40Speaker 16: think she's doing a sour do a croissant tomorrow. She's
- 33:43Speaker 16: gonna have a I believe a Pandan raspberry and fig
- 33:49Speaker 16: egg custard tart.
- 33:50Speaker 3: I believe.
- 33:51Speaker 16: You know, she does a lot of a lot of
- 33:53Speaker 16: a lot of interesting desserts, and she does both savory
- 33:56Speaker 16: and sweet. So if you're not in the sweet, but look,
- 33:58Speaker 16: all the pastry freaks out there have to visit kapik
- 34:01Speaker 16: KaiA at least one very nice line or no line.
- 34:04Speaker 16: Definitely go cool Kapa Carra.
- 34:06Speaker 3: We'll do it. That's nice.
- 34:08Speaker 16: Yeah, forgot to Okay, So the next one is the
- 34:10Speaker 16: best pastrami sandwich, and that goes to Leah Downtown on
- 34:14Speaker 16: Magnoia Magnoia Avenue. Really oh yeah, yeah, cats as Schmantzes.
- 34:20Speaker 16: I'm telling you that the pastrami sandwich that's served here
- 34:24Speaker 16: I think has been responsible for many a I'll have
- 34:27Speaker 16: what she's having moment, you know.
- 34:28Speaker 3: Really better than obviously you've been to Pickles and Longwood.
- 34:31Speaker 16: Right, yes, Jim, Jim, it's go to Leah and eat
- 34:35Speaker 16: the pastrami sandwich. I'm telling you he's he's doing a
- 34:38Speaker 16: wag you brisket okay that he's I think brining for
- 34:41Speaker 16: a week and then he smokes it and then he
- 34:43Speaker 16: steams it, and then he like you know, cuts him
- 34:45Speaker 16: into slabs and put them, puts them into the in
- 34:48Speaker 16: between the this buttery. I believe it's a it's a
- 34:51Speaker 16: it's a sour dough chibata. And then he's got like
- 34:54Speaker 16: mustard and beanster gouda and pickled onions.
- 34:57Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 34:57Speaker 16: You know I was when I was away, I was
- 34:59Speaker 16: craving this and which so bad that two days ago
- 35:01Speaker 16: I said, no, I got to go and eat this
- 35:03Speaker 16: thing for lunch. And I went there and I ate
- 35:05Speaker 16: it and it was outstanding. And then he serves with
- 35:07Speaker 16: fries too, these really long I don't where he's getting
- 35:09Speaker 16: these potatoes from, but he has the longest fries in
- 35:12Speaker 16: the city.
- 35:13Speaker 2: And it's spelled l e I A h leah. Very
- 35:16Speaker 2: nice downtown Orlando a restaurant.
- 35:18Speaker 3: Yeah, very good. Okay, that's cool.
- 35:19Speaker 2: That's a good heads up because I you know, up
- 35:22Speaker 2: till now, I mean, you know, pickles is pretty hard
- 35:24Speaker 2: to be for me, but I'll try.
- 35:25Speaker 3: It for sure, Definitely do it. Okay.
- 35:28Speaker 16: The next one was best Soup doujour, and this goes
- 35:31Speaker 16: to the tom Yum and noodle soup at Sabai Thai
- 35:34Speaker 16: Street Food. And listen, don't don't confuse tom Yum noodle
- 35:37Speaker 16: soup with tom Yum soup because a lot of people
- 35:39Speaker 16: have had the tom Yum soup, but the tom Yum
- 35:41Speaker 16: noodle soup, this one really encompasses the four s's of
- 35:44Speaker 16: thy cookery, sweet, salty, sour, and of course spicy. He's
- 35:49Speaker 16: got a they're doing a pork bone and chicken boom
- 35:52Speaker 16: broth that I think they're simmering for forty eight hours.
- 35:55Speaker 16: They got all kinds of aromatics and diekon and and garlic,
- 36:00Speaker 16: and then he throws in roasted pork and ground pork
- 36:03Speaker 16: and peanuts and bean sprouts and all this stuff and
- 36:05Speaker 16: of course chilies, and it gets your choice of egg
- 36:07Speaker 16: noodles or rice no ones. And I'm telling you this,
- 36:10Speaker 16: this soup is single handedly making you know, soups great
- 36:13Speaker 16: again in restaurants. It's outstanding.
- 36:15Speaker 3: Nice, Yeah, go and get the soup. Nice. That sounds great.
- 36:20Speaker 16: The next one, the next one I had was best falaffel.
- 36:22Speaker 16: And this goes to Simo Shawarma. It's out in Azalea Park.
- 36:25Speaker 16: They're only open on Saturdays and Sundays. It's a food
- 36:27Speaker 16: truck and Simo's wife do and he makes these things
- 36:30Speaker 16: from scratch using of course ground chickpeas and parsley.
- 36:34Speaker 3: And onions and sesame seeds.
- 36:35Speaker 16: And they have their own like proprietary blend of spices
- 36:38Speaker 16: and then they fry them to order. And I'm telling you,
- 36:41Speaker 16: my wife despises falaffel. She does not like it at all,
- 36:45Speaker 16: but these, but this falaffel she she doesn't only like.
- 36:49Speaker 3: She like craves this stuff.
- 36:50Speaker 16: Like I'll part, you have to go tomorrow night or
- 36:52Speaker 16: on Sunday to pick some of these up, because these
- 36:54Speaker 16: are so good. They're they're like little balls of crack
- 36:57Speaker 16: and they're small little balls too.
- 36:58Speaker 2: When it's done right, I think it's one of the
- 37:00Speaker 2: best bits. I mean, we had a little place, a
- 37:02Speaker 2: little Greek place over here around the corner. It was
- 37:04Speaker 2: just a little fast food step in Greek place, but
- 37:06Speaker 2: their falaffel was like next level and it was just
- 37:09Speaker 2: such a perfect addition.
- 37:11Speaker 3: To a meal.
- 37:13Speaker 16: I you know, if you thought those were next level,
- 37:14Speaker 16: I'm telling you, Jim, these these the falaffel here is
- 37:19Speaker 16: it's something the best falafel I've had anywhere. Wow, it
- 37:21Speaker 16: is so good and so addicting, so very addictive. Fem
- 37:26Speaker 16: Shawarma Azilia Park.
- 37:27Speaker 3: That's cee m o. Yes, I'm sorry, my good I'm
- 37:32Speaker 3: reading it too. It's worse, it's worse.
- 37:35Speaker 16: And if you're if you're actually if you're falling on
- 37:37Speaker 16: my Instagram at it's high Karfa. I have all the
- 37:40Speaker 16: the the addresses and everything for all of these places,
- 37:43Speaker 16: so I.
- 37:43Speaker 2: Don't know what they'll just happen there, I think a
- 37:45Speaker 2: small stroke there, Go ahead, buddy, you didn't mean to
- 37:48Speaker 2: clarify that you're reading it. We would have just taken
- 37:50Speaker 2: that to the grave for you, big dog. But I'm
- 37:53Speaker 2: a transparent monster. And then we got then we got
- 37:59Speaker 2: the best carbonara. There's a lot of people out there
- 38:02Speaker 2: that that go and search for carbonara cannot find it.
- 38:04Speaker 2: The carbonara at Ferrats, which is out in Avalon Park,
- 38:08Speaker 2: is a bit of a trick. It's at the marketplace
- 38:10Speaker 2: at Avalon Park.
- 38:11Speaker 16: He is doing it right, he has he doesn't even
- 38:14Speaker 16: have the you know, not only does he have that,
- 38:16Speaker 16: you know, that superb mastery of temperature control that you need,
- 38:19Speaker 16: but he's he's finishing off this this carbonara inside a
- 38:22Speaker 16: big flombade wheel of Parmegiano Reggiano, this twenty four month
- 38:26Speaker 16: old wheel. And you know, of course he's got the
- 38:29Speaker 16: he's got the egg yolks, he's got the you know,
- 38:31Speaker 16: the noodles. I believe he's using spaghetti noodles, guanchaali. Of
- 38:34Speaker 16: course you need the guangchao black pepper and plenty of cheese.
- 38:38Speaker 16: And he does it in there. It is truly. Those
- 38:42Speaker 16: who have been searching for a good carbonarre in the
- 38:44Speaker 16: city go to Ferrates an Avalon Park. You will find it,
- 38:47Speaker 16: isn't it wild?
- 38:48Speaker 2: How like when you get into that true the people
- 38:50Speaker 2: who like that true Italian food, that it's the simplest
- 38:52Speaker 2: dishes that are looking for because of the techniques to
- 38:55Speaker 2: create him. Cotchaa Pepe is the same way, right, It's
- 38:57Speaker 2: just you got to learn how to work that pastave
- 39:00Speaker 2: create that kind of cream because you don't do it
- 39:02Speaker 2: with cream or butter. That's the that's the cheat code.
- 39:04Speaker 2: The people who really know know how to make it,
- 39:06Speaker 2: make that creamy consistency. Just how they cook and work
- 39:10Speaker 2: the pasta.
- 39:12Speaker 16: Yep, egg yolks, and like I said, temperature control. You
- 39:14Speaker 16: don't want to overcook the pasta, so you don't want
- 39:16Speaker 16: to have it undercooked. You know, that's just as bad.
- 39:19Speaker 16: But these guys do it perfect perfect.
- 39:22Speaker 2: And by the way, somebody said thank you for the
- 39:24Speaker 2: kabuki sushi heads up. They went and loved it.
- 39:27Speaker 16: Oh yeah, it's hard not to love kabooki soush. Yeah,
- 39:29Speaker 16: sure that is. And then okay, and then the penultimate pick,
- 39:34Speaker 16: the best tostata, goes to the lump crab tostata at June.
- 39:40Speaker 16: I know, I know, Ross totally concurs with this one
- 39:42Speaker 16: because here they take that lump crab and they're tossing
- 39:45Speaker 16: it in a chili butter and then they put it
- 39:47Speaker 16: on top of a tallow fried corn tortilla, which itself
- 39:52Speaker 16: is like simmered and sizzled in uh in a in
- 39:55Speaker 16: a brown butter. So I called this when I wrote
- 39:57Speaker 16: this thing up, I called it an exercise in butter
- 40:00Speaker 16: on beef, fat on butter luxuriance. But yeah, it is outstanding.
- 40:04Speaker 16: And then and then they got a couple of chilies.
- 40:06Speaker 16: They got the Guahilo Guahio chilies and the Maria chilies.
- 40:09Speaker 16: Is to give it a bit of a kick, a
- 40:10Speaker 16: bit of a spike, and it is.
- 40:12Speaker 3: It's so good.
- 40:13Speaker 2: Uh, it's perfect. It's one of my favorite bites of
- 40:16Speaker 2: the last several years. I'm even blown away by the
- 40:18Speaker 2: engineering of this damn tostata because how it shows up
- 40:21Speaker 2: to your table. It's this perfect presentation. But when I
- 40:24Speaker 2: saw it, I was like, I'm gonna take one bite,
- 40:26Speaker 2: all of that's gonna fall off, But I'd be damned.
- 40:30Speaker 2: I don't know what adhesive they're using, but it just
- 40:33Speaker 2: cooked it right. I I take a bite of the tostata,
- 40:36Speaker 2: nothing crumbles, nothing falls off my mouth. All the meat
- 40:40Speaker 2: stays right on top, and it's this beautiful lump crab.
- 40:43Speaker 2: I strongly suggest hitting it with some lime.
- 40:47Speaker 3: Girl. Oh lord, I'm going to church Sunday now all right.
- 40:51Speaker 16: Yeah, yeah, that line helps cut through a bit of
- 40:53Speaker 16: that that butteriness, but you know, not not quite all
- 40:57Speaker 16: the way, which you of course you don't want you
- 40:58Speaker 16: want to have that buttery.
- 40:59Speaker 3: Yeah. I love the corn tortilla.
- 41:02Speaker 16: By the way, Ross, you know they're getting the heirloom
- 41:05Speaker 16: the masa from from Hunger Street tacos because they have
- 41:08Speaker 16: their own sort of side business where they're making and
- 41:10Speaker 16: manufacturing tacos and sending them to places like June and
- 41:13Speaker 16: Rays and the Scaleria and other places around town. So
- 41:16Speaker 16: that's why they're making a proper good tostatu.
- 41:18Speaker 2: Is he the only Joe Creech by the way over there?
- 41:20Speaker 2: Is he the only guy doing that? Bringing that corn,
- 41:22Speaker 2: that special corn in from Mexico and making that. I
- 41:24Speaker 2: think he's He's the only because you have to treat
- 41:26Speaker 2: that a certain way too before.
- 41:27Speaker 3: You make the tortillas, right.
- 41:30Speaker 16: Yeah, it's all like hand done. He's the only one
- 41:31Speaker 16: doing it in Orlando, I think for some people in
- 41:33Speaker 16: Miami doing it, and obviously people out west that's doing
- 41:36Speaker 16: but he's the only one in Orlando doing.
- 41:37Speaker 2: And if you haven't had one of these tortillas, I mean,
- 41:39Speaker 2: you wouldn't think that a tortilla could really change the
- 41:41Speaker 2: way anything makes. But go to Hunger Street Tacos and
- 41:43Speaker 2: have any of their tacos on those unbelievable tortillas and
- 41:47Speaker 2: it will blow you away.
- 41:47Speaker 3: They're simply amazing.
- 41:49Speaker 16: Absolutely, And then the very last one I had was
- 41:53Speaker 16: the best taste of sori Kara without the price tag. Now,
- 41:56Speaker 16: Soarkara is our you know, two Michelin Star restaurant. It's
- 41:59Speaker 16: one of them, only two two Michelin Star restaurants in Florida,
- 42:02Speaker 16: the other ones in Miami. And you know, dining at
- 42:05Speaker 16: Sorakara comes with a hefty price tag. You'll pay like
- 42:08Speaker 16: more than three hundred and fifty bucks. You'll spend like
- 42:09Speaker 16: four hours of your day. So if you just want
- 42:12Speaker 16: to get a taste of that at a fraction of
- 42:13Speaker 16: the price, And we talked a little bit about this
- 42:15Speaker 16: last week, go to Okonomi inside East End Market because
- 42:19Speaker 16: the chef there, William Shen He you know, he is
- 42:22Speaker 16: getting cuts of seafood that that are you know, usually
- 42:26Speaker 16: reserved for the Japanese domestic market, but he has access
- 42:29Speaker 16: to fishermen and proprietors there and they send it to
- 42:32Speaker 16: him directly and you're getting served that not only at Sorakara,
- 42:36Speaker 16: but you're getting served those same cuts at Okonomi for again,
- 42:39Speaker 16: for a fraction of the price. You can have one
- 42:41Speaker 16: piece of Nigeria orshimi. You can have like ten, but
- 42:45Speaker 16: it's not going to cost you three hundred and fifty
- 42:46Speaker 16: bucks and you'll get a taste of what, you know,
- 42:49Speaker 16: what people are going to sow a kara for.
- 42:50Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, two star Michelin is pretty big deal. It
- 42:54Speaker 3: is a big deal.
- 42:54Speaker 16: Yeah, but who I mean, who can afford you know,
- 42:56Speaker 16: going to a place like that on a constant basis.
- 42:58Speaker 16: But you can go to Oka know me, every day
- 43:01Speaker 16: of the week if you want, and you know, get
- 43:03Speaker 16: a real good taste and representation of what what kinds
- 43:06Speaker 16: of cuts of seafood he has access to.
- 43:08Speaker 2: And if you missed any of this, if you just
- 43:10Speaker 2: go to Orlando Weekly dot com and click on the
- 43:11Speaker 2: best of you can go to the food and Dining
- 43:13Speaker 2: section and everything that he mentioned today is lined out there.
- 43:16Speaker 2: You can also look at the staff picks which we
- 43:17Speaker 2: have up there as well, uh, plus other options and
- 43:21Speaker 2: other offerings as well. So Orlando Weekly dot Com is
- 43:24Speaker 2: reaking get that or give as a follow on Instagram
- 43:27Speaker 2: because he posted his work there as well.
- 43:30Speaker 16: Yeah it's Fiascara I T S f A I y

- 45:56Speaker 2: are they really all pending laughter?
- 45:59Speaker 3: We always we all uh. When we put the order
- 46:03Speaker 3: of sketches in.

- 46:10Speaker 2: where Joel is the crazy one and I'm a straight
- 46:13Speaker 2: guy and vice versas, and then you have to line
- 46:15Speaker 2: that up as well. And to give you the idea
- 46:17Speaker 2: of how popular these are, you know, Ross started putting

- 47:11Speaker 2: Four our seven nine one six four one textests seven
- 47:13Speaker 2: seven zero three one. At the beginning of the show.
- 47:15Speaker 2: We'll keep the food thing going here real quick before
- 47:18Speaker 2: we get to our next segment, which we all are
- 47:20Speaker 2: very happy about because our man Tim's coming in from
- 47:23Speaker 2: Forward Slash. We're gonna taste a little whiskey and it
- 47:26Speaker 2: is Rye month over at Forward Slash, so we have
- 47:29Speaker 2: apparently one of their most special Rye whiskey is coming
- 47:31Speaker 2: our way. We'll do that here in just a few minutes.
- 47:34Speaker 2: First things first, Jack, I told you that two of
- 47:38Speaker 2: the According USA Today, two of the best pizza restaurants
- 47:41Speaker 2: in all of the United States of America are here
- 47:44Speaker 2: in Florida, believe or not.
- 47:45Speaker 3: One of them is in Jacksonville, Okay.
- 47:48Speaker 2: Interesting, one of them is, I believe in my hammy
- 47:54Speaker 2: in my computer if there's two, one in Jacksonville and
- 47:57Speaker 2: ones in Miami. Yeah, close to either one. Hold on
- 48:01Speaker 2: for a second, let me figure out what one in Jacksonville.
- 48:04Speaker 2: I just found this one. There's one in Jacksonville and
- 48:07Speaker 2: this one is in oh Okay, Yeah, so maybe it's
- 48:09Speaker 2: just two here, buddy, oh man, I don't even know.
- 48:13Speaker 2: I bet people out there that know this probably already
- 48:15Speaker 2: know about it, but I haven't heard about this by
- 48:18Speaker 2: the pizza being like world renown. But apparently this place,
- 48:21Speaker 2: according to USA Today, is one of the best pizza
- 48:24Speaker 2: restaurants in America. It's called FM Pizza oven Over Melbourne.
- 48:29Speaker 2: Really yeah, FM as in FM Radio Pizza oven Over
- 48:33Speaker 2: in Melbourne off of a Highland Street, and apparently it
- 48:37Speaker 2: is known for its authentic wood fired pizza and then
- 48:40Speaker 2: of ingredients including vegan options. That some craft beer over there,
- 48:44Speaker 2: and it is supposed to be quite amazing. And there's
- 48:46Speaker 2: another one in West Palm, So it is three. It's
- 48:48Speaker 2: also got four stars on Yelps. I'm curious on what
- 48:52Speaker 2: this place is doing differently.
- 48:54Speaker 3: So what is four stars bad? Well, you would take five. Yeah,
- 48:58Speaker 3: it's close to five.
- 49:00Speaker 2: I mean this is again, this is and it looks
- 49:02Speaker 2: like it looks like a stereotypical kind of food of
- 49:04Speaker 2: wood fired pizza.
- 49:05Speaker 3: It's got that nice what do they call that when
- 49:07Speaker 3: it charged? There's a word for that. Burnt. No, it's burnt. No, No,
- 49:13Speaker 3: there's a word for it. Black. And it tastes burnt.
- 49:15Speaker 2: Stop when it bubbles up a little bit and the
- 49:17Speaker 2: top of those bubbles get a little bit of char
- 49:19Speaker 2: on them, that's flavor jack. That's not burned. Nobody, not
- 49:22Speaker 2: everybody likes your New Jersey pizza. Dude, when they make it,
- 49:25Speaker 2: it's all floppy.
- 49:26Speaker 3: No, and I don't like floppy pizza.
- 49:28Speaker 2: But the fact of the matter is how you cook it,
- 49:31Speaker 2: regardless of what you're cooking. If it's charred, it's burnt. Well,
- 49:34Speaker 2: don't you go to Antica. Isn't Antica like one of
- 49:36Speaker 2: those places? It doesn't like that one of these real
- 49:38Speaker 2: kind of Neapolitan wood oven or coal fired ovens. It's
- 49:42Speaker 2: gonna get you a little that occasionally. Sure, if you
- 49:44Speaker 2: like it burned, it's not burned.
- 49:47Speaker 3: How do you how do you not understand that when
- 49:49Speaker 3: it's black?
- 49:50Speaker 2: When it's black, so seriously, you cook it and then
- 49:54Speaker 2: it gets black.
- 49:55Speaker 3: Yeah, that's burnt. It's not.
- 49:57Speaker 2: It's called charge jacket's act. You cook, it gives brown,
- 50:01Speaker 2: it's more brown, it gets more brown. And when you
- 50:03Speaker 2: get to black, you know what, it tastes like an
- 50:07Speaker 2: ass tray. It starts burn part. Can you not understand
- 50:11Speaker 2: how that adds to the flavor. It gives that authentic
- 50:13Speaker 2: wood flavor. It's meant to be there. Yeah, if you
- 50:16Speaker 2: want to tell and I'm with the pizza. It comes
- 50:19Speaker 2: with the beautiful crisp as well, I'm with you, Jim.
- 50:21Speaker 2: I'm arguing with the food fetus. Also, I think I
- 50:25Speaker 2: know you guys tell yourself. It's one of those things
- 50:27Speaker 2: everyone tells, Oh, you gotta have a chart, you know,
- 50:29Speaker 2: and they they all just go around repeating that nonsense.
- 50:32Speaker 2: I think it's worth pointing this out, this f M
- 50:35Speaker 2: pizza oven. When I was like, it's got four stars
- 50:37Speaker 2: on yop, I actually just saw one of the four
- 50:39Speaker 2: star reviews and it was basically saying I left it
- 50:42Speaker 2: four stars because I don't want the rest of the
- 50:44Speaker 2: town to know. So there's that there were other four stars.
- 50:49Speaker 2: When I thought that was like a kind of an
- 50:51Speaker 2: ass backward way of celebrating your pizza place.
- 50:53Speaker 3: Let me ask you, guys something when you go, when
- 50:55Speaker 3: you when you lean on like a review, whether it
- 50:57Speaker 3: be yelp, whomever, it doesn't really matter, do you you
- 51:00Speaker 3: so do you look at the total star account or
- 51:02Speaker 3: do you look at the total amount of people who
- 51:04Speaker 3: reviewed it? That's that's more important, right. I agree.
- 51:08Speaker 2: You can have a restaurant that has like five hundred
- 51:10Speaker 2: reviews and it's five stars. You're like, oh, it must
- 51:12Speaker 2: be the greatest, or one that has three thousand reviews
- 51:15Speaker 2: and it's four four and a half stars.
- 51:17Speaker 3: I'm trusting the other one way more.
- 51:19Speaker 2: Dude, Well, in that example, which was poor, I would
- 51:21Speaker 2: take the five the five stars with three hundred reviews,
- 51:24Speaker 2: because that's still plenty of enough reviews. It's the three
- 51:28Speaker 2: reviews five stars that you should be worried.
- 51:30Speaker 3: When I go online to look for recipes.
- 51:33Speaker 2: You know, if I come up with an idea and
- 51:34Speaker 2: I want to go there and see if anybody's done
- 51:35Speaker 2: it before. I want to find a recipe, I'll go
- 51:37Speaker 2: find a recipe, But the ones I almost always lean
- 51:40Speaker 2: on are the ones that have have the most downloads
- 51:42Speaker 2: of the most comments about it, because that's the one
- 51:44Speaker 2: that most people are using. I'll look at other ones,
- 51:47Speaker 2: but you can look at the ingredients list and the
- 51:49Speaker 2: and the UH and the technique of making it, and
- 51:51Speaker 2: you gotta tell if you've cooked anyone, it's gonna be
- 51:53Speaker 2: good or bad. I'm in the peak of my pizza era.
- 51:56Speaker 2: I've probably even more pizza in the last year of
- 51:58Speaker 2: my life than any You got a one place, it's
- 52:03Speaker 2: a problem, it's yeah, Well you gotta stretch it out.
- 52:05Speaker 3: Do There are a bunch of places and down to
- 52:07Speaker 3: have good pizza, and you go to one of them.
- 52:08Speaker 2: They've got weekly specials and I'm a sucker for them.
- 52:13Speaker 2: Last week was a damn mango hobb and arrow, and
- 52:15Speaker 2: I sent me to the freaking.
- 52:17Speaker 3: Moon man bang Zoom to the Moon.
- 52:19Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 52:20Speaker 2: I had such a blast eating that pizza. Yeah, I'm
- 52:23Speaker 2: having pizza tonight, are you really?
- 52:25Speaker 3: I am? How do you already know that you guys
- 52:28Speaker 3: think about that to order it before you eat it? Yeah? Yeah,
- 52:32Speaker 3: I appreciate in the afternoon. Nobody thinks about dinner at
- 52:35Speaker 3: four thirty in the afternoon.
- 52:37Speaker 2: I thought about at ten am this morning. My wife
- 52:41Speaker 2: is working, she's coming home. We're getting home approximately the
- 52:44Speaker 2: same time, all right, So she's not gonna cook.
- 52:46Speaker 3: I'm not putting that on her. He's out earning right now. Wait,
- 52:50Speaker 3: you look at that pizza. That thing looked goods.
- 52:53Speaker 2: And you know it's got it's got no charge. You
- 52:55Speaker 2: know why, because it's not burning. It's got perfect You
- 52:58Speaker 2: don't know about the backside of it, and you're the flame.
- 53:00Speaker 2: But man, I love a rugolo on pizza that looks
- 53:02Speaker 2: really good. Not a fan don't like a ruglan pizza.
- 53:05Speaker 2: I've tried it. I've tried it. I've tried you go
- 53:09Speaker 2: to one place who everything. I gotta help you out here, buddy,
- 53:13Speaker 2: they also have a rugol on pizza at this place.
- 53:15Speaker 2: I know that you love your place, right it's a
- 53:18Speaker 2: was it black magic? It's called black magic pizza. I'm
- 53:20Speaker 2: sorry for the free pub, small business. I know you
- 53:23Speaker 2: love it. I do, but I can't take your opinion
- 53:26Speaker 2: seriously because you don't eat elsewhere. You have nothing to
- 53:30Speaker 2: compare that to you actually don't even know if that's
- 53:32Speaker 2: the best pizza.
- 53:33Speaker 3: How could you possibly know that it's the only place
- 53:35Speaker 3: you eat.
- 53:35Speaker 2: So if I give you a whole bunch of really
- 53:37Speaker 2: good weed, and then one day I just give you
- 53:41Speaker 2: regular weed, you'd be like, yo, no, I just want
- 53:44Speaker 2: to do that instead. That's what happened with me in
- 53:47Speaker 2: Black Magic Pizza. I've climbed the Himalayans, I have kissed
- 53:50Speaker 2: the top of Everest. I'm not going back to another
- 53:53Speaker 2: pizza place. You you okay, so I'll ask. I mean,
- 53:56Speaker 2: I don't mean to throw It's better than Pizza Bruno.
- 53:59Speaker 2: It's better than Prato, It's better than Antica to me. Yeah, yeah, okay,
- 54:05Speaker 2: Sesame crust all the way, it is my favorite pizza. Well,
- 54:08Speaker 2: congratulations FM Pizza Oven over there in Melbourne, you guys
- 54:11Speaker 2: made the list of USA today is best in the nation.
- 54:13Speaker 2: So I guess I got a slide over to Melbourne,
- 54:15Speaker 2: grab us a slice up By the way, TEXTA wants
- 54:18Speaker 2: to know what's the name of the Jacksonville place, because
- 54:20Speaker 2: we do have listeners up in Jacksonville. Yeah, let me
- 54:22Speaker 2: go there real quick. I'll tell you what it is.

- 54:39Speaker 2: it's burnt. I do believe in the chart. I love
- 54:41Speaker 2: sesame crust and they come out with fun flavors every
- 54:44Speaker 2: two weeks.
- 54:46Speaker 3: You guys ever have a PB and J pizza.
- 54:48Speaker 2: Four s one? Did you really just make some noise
- 54:52Speaker 2: for that? Okay?
- 54:53Speaker 6: Good?
- 54:53Speaker 3: Yeah, the right noise? Define that? All right?
- 54:58Speaker 2: Back in a second with forward slash, let's try some
- 54:59Speaker 2: with what's the of the week coming up.
- 55:13Speaker 3: Todayohana?
- 55:14Speaker 14: Yep?
- 55:15Speaker 7: Hello hot Friday. No serve to report for the next
- 55:18Speaker 7: seven days. Nothing bigger than the high anyway. I was
- 55:21Speaker 7: hoping you guys would join in celebrating and wishing my beautiful,
- 55:26Speaker 7: fantastic and lovely wife Pam a very happy, happy milestone birthday.
- 55:33Speaker 13: Honey.
- 55:34Speaker 7: I love you, it's my honor. And yes, while you
- 55:37Speaker 7: may not always be right, you have never been wrong.

- 55:47Speaker 3: a good man. Love us calls love us food, everything

- 55:58Speaker 2: Dang it, they did it again.
- 56:00Speaker 3: Let's do Whiskey of the Week.
- 56:01Speaker 1: Forward Slash Distillery and Blending House, Freees and wrist of.
- 56:08Speaker 3: On the Jim Colbert Show.
- 56:09Speaker 2: You guys from Whiskey from the Forward Slash.
- 56:13Speaker 3: Yo, my man's what's up? What's going on? Always good
- 56:20Speaker 3: to see you, buddy, Always a pleasure. Thank you.
- 56:22Speaker 2: I love your chill vibe. You never come in here
- 56:25Speaker 2: stressed out, stressed out. You always come in with a smile.
- 56:27Speaker 2: You walk nice and slow, make whiskey like you figured
- 56:32Speaker 2: life out a long time ago.
- 56:34Speaker 19: You just haven't figured out anything about life. I'm still
- 56:37Speaker 19: working on life. I figured out whiskey for you.
- 56:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 56:39Speaker 2: And if you're worried, you're wondering what Ford Slash does.
- 56:42Speaker 2: It is a really unique place and it says it
- 56:44Speaker 2: right here, says it's a Bootache spirits company based in
- 56:47Speaker 2: winter Park.
- 56:48Speaker 5: Now.
- 56:48Speaker 2: They blend whiskeys from all over North America, always disclosing
- 56:51Speaker 2: their sources, methods and recipes. They produce a wide range
- 56:54Speaker 2: of spirits, including whiskey, agabe spirits, rum, vodka, gin liquors,
- 56:58Speaker 2: and bitters. All right there, So the cool thing about
- 57:01Speaker 2: your blending house is did you guys do the legacy
- 57:04Speaker 2: series right, and then you do the.
- 57:06Speaker 3: Artisanal the artisanal series.
- 57:08Speaker 2: The artisanal series is smaller distilleries that you guys get
- 57:11Speaker 2: it from and you blended together. The legacy series are
- 57:14Speaker 2: our distillers that you know.
- 57:16Speaker 19: Yeah, more heritage, like bigger names that more people are
- 57:19Speaker 19: familiar with, whereas the artisanal series is more for the
- 57:22Speaker 19: lesser known, more more tear war driven whiskeys. Like that's
- 57:25Speaker 19: the stuff that really kind of yeah, yeah, like scratches
- 57:27Speaker 19: an itch in my brain where.
- 57:29Speaker 3: I can get to try stuff from all over the
- 57:31Speaker 3: country that never had before see, And I would think
- 57:33Speaker 3: that would be the cool thing.
- 57:34Speaker 2: And I think you know, with bourbon lovers specifically, they
- 57:36Speaker 2: go out there and they search for these really rare bottles. Yeah,
- 57:40Speaker 2: the hunters, it's a thing. Now have you ever followed
- 57:42Speaker 2: any of those dudes on Instagram? Yeah, now that's a wormhole.
- 57:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 57:45Speaker 19: So Bruisal we're actually doing Bruisal Fast next Friday, where
- 57:48Speaker 19: you're like, yeah, which is why we won't even be
- 57:50Speaker 19: a taste of Central.
- 57:51Speaker 3: Florida the world.
- 57:52Speaker 19: We won't be there now, We'll we'll have a team
- 57:54Speaker 19: out there and everything, and there won't be there physically,
- 57:57Speaker 19: won't be We'll be up in Alabama. U.
- 57:59Speaker 3: Yeah. So TJ so brusal.
- 58:00Speaker 19: He's the number one hunter guy, and he started this
- 58:03Speaker 19: amazing whiskey festival a few years back and we got
- 58:05Speaker 19: invited this year.
- 58:06Speaker 3: That's awesome, man, proud, So what do you have for
- 58:09Speaker 3: us today?
- 58:09Speaker 2: I know what August is Rye month, and I have
- 58:11Speaker 2: to tell you we've enjoyed these. I'm not really even
- 58:14Speaker 2: I'm with kind of with jack Anne Ross didn't come
- 58:16Speaker 2: into this world as kind of a rye guy. I
- 58:18Speaker 2: have bottles of Rye that have had for a minute.
- 58:21Speaker 2: But man, they drink so much different than like regular bourbon,
- 58:24Speaker 2: your everyday bourbon. You got to kind of get a
- 58:26Speaker 2: tongue for it, right. Well, So Rye rise America's first whiskey.
- 58:30Speaker 2: So when you had distillers coming over here from Scotland
- 58:34Speaker 2: and Ireland and the Welsh, they were coming over here.
- 58:39Speaker 2: They were looking for barley and couldn't find a ton
- 58:42Speaker 2: of barley in New England. But they found rye grass
- 58:44Speaker 2: growing everywhere, so they started messing around with that and
- 58:46Speaker 2: it had a completely different flavor. So they started producing
- 58:49Speaker 2: frye whiskey and then putting that into a barrel around
- 58:52Speaker 2: you know, early eighteen hundred is so rye. Well before
- 58:55Speaker 2: we were making bourbon, we were making rye whiskey. Wow,
- 58:57Speaker 2: I actually helped you know, we were doing a lot
- 58:59Speaker 2: of trade with rye whiskeys. Do it helped fund you know,
- 59:01Speaker 2: revolutionary war And really there is a rich, rich history
- 59:05Speaker 2: of rye whiskey.
- 59:06Speaker 3: It's so funny.
- 59:07Speaker 2: I just saw a Facebook post a few minutes ago
- 59:09Speaker 2: during one of the breaks, and it said, name something
- 59:11Speaker 2: uniquely American. Man right to it, right, I mean burbon whiskey,
- 59:14Speaker 2: rye whiskey right there to it.
- 59:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 59:15Speaker 19: Once all the Germanic immigrants came over, they were like, oh,
- 59:18Speaker 19: that's right, what do we know what to do with that?
- 59:20Speaker 3: And then it just ramped up from there.
- 59:22Speaker 2: All right, So we have a glass of what is
- 59:25Speaker 2: supposed to be one of your one of your pride
- 59:27Speaker 2: and joys.
- 59:28Speaker 19: Right, Yeah, this is one of my favorite things I
- 59:29Speaker 19: think we've ever made. This is by far the oldest
- 59:33Speaker 19: rye we've ever blended in the Artisanal series. This is
- 59:37Speaker 19: a blend of four different rye whiskeyes. This will be
- 59:39Speaker 19: coming out next month. Unfortunately, we have some delays with
- 59:42Speaker 19: our printing company getting our brand new labels done for
- 59:45Speaker 19: this one. That's cool and that happens from time to time.
- 59:49Speaker 19: So this is a blend of nine year old rye
- 59:53Speaker 19: and seven and a half year old rye out of
- 59:55Speaker 19: New York, Nevada, and Oregon. Not traditional when you're thinking
- 59:59Speaker 19: of like, oh, whar's Kentucky, Indiana?
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, sure, yeah, yeah.
- 1:00:02Speaker 19: New York rye is just they have been really putting,
- 1:00:05Speaker 19: you know, incredible juice out the past fifteen years now,
- 1:00:09Speaker 19: and they grow some of the best rye grain in
- 1:00:11Speaker 19: the world really out of the hutet. They just don't
- 1:00:13Speaker 19: make a lot of it.
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: I'll be damn yeah, because this is only three hundred bottles.
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: As we say, yeah, yeah, we did well.
- 1:00:18Speaker 19: This is really this is old, and our our angels
- 1:00:21Speaker 19: share that it still is about ten to twelve percent
- 1:00:22Speaker 19: of a year and snow way and a couple of
- 1:00:24Speaker 19: these barrels we've had now for about three and a
- 1:00:26Speaker 19: half years.
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: Wow, we've lost over fifty percent.
- 1:00:28Speaker 19: Wow, really, yeah, incredibly, Like, all right, we got to
- 1:00:30Speaker 19: use these quick.
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: We're not going to have anything left. These barrels are
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: gonna be empty.
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: So when this bottle hits the store, hit the shelf,
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: it's gonna be eighty four dollars, yeah, to be eighty
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: four nine nine, eighty four eighty five bucks for a
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: bottle of premium rye whiskey.
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: And do you guys do Holt and cape and rye?
- 1:00:43Speaker 19: Yeah, after that one, that's our, that's our, like our
- 1:00:46Speaker 19: cocktail riots a little bit more affordable.
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: That's in like the fifty dollars rain yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: And this one is just because of the nature of
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: the whiskeys going in that they're all like, you know,
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: they're expensive. Yeah, yeah, are you Let's give it a sip, okay,
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: and then you tell us what we should be tasting
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: here real quick, you guys ready, cheers to you, by
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: the way, And so what is the name of this
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: rye before I take another sip?
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: Oh man? This is convergence. Convergence, oh man.
- 1:01:12Speaker 14: It is.
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: So that is a lot happening.
- 1:01:15Speaker 19: There loads of sasparilla on the back end, but like
- 1:01:18Speaker 19: green apple on the nose, yes, yeah, and a really
- 1:01:21Speaker 19: nice creaminess on the nose too. Damn loads of baking spice.
- 1:01:25Speaker 19: That is one thing that you'll get out of Rye
- 1:01:27Speaker 19: Rise of grass. It's just like Barley's a grass as well,
- 1:01:30Speaker 19: where the seeds we.
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: Uh and then we make a mash out of the
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: seeds from that.
- 1:01:36Speaker 19: But this has like Rye gives you this really lovely earthiness,
- 1:01:39Speaker 19: dark chocolate.
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: Notes, spice, lot You're right, the baking spices all through that.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: And the great thing is is I don't know how
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: you guys drink it, but I let it roll over
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: my tongue. So I take it a little bit in
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: and then release it with the top of my the
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: roof of my mouth and let it just coat my tongue.
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: And then I just kind of do that to get
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: some air in there. Man, that's a Kentucky chewer. Yeah,
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: it just gets the air in there.
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: Man.
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: You want that thing to get up through your sinuses
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: so you can really taste it.
- 1:02:05Speaker 19: Yeah, when you're actually tasting like a fine spirit, you
- 1:02:07Speaker 19: always want to roll it from left to right over
- 1:02:09Speaker 19: your palate and you want to take the smallest sip
- 1:02:12Speaker 19: possible because it is going to shock your palate a
- 1:02:13Speaker 19: little bit.
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: Because it is ethanol, not.
- 1:02:16Speaker 19: Like there is ethanol and beer and wine, but it's
- 1:02:18Speaker 19: just not as I have concentration, right, So yeah, you
- 1:02:21Speaker 19: want to roll that back and forth and with that,
- 1:02:23Speaker 19: you're gonna get You're gonna find out if there's any
- 1:02:25Speaker 19: kind of acidity too, You're gonna find out what the
- 1:02:27Speaker 19: sweetness is like. You're going to get pick up on
- 1:02:28Speaker 19: those baking spices on the back end as it goes
- 1:02:30Speaker 19: down the back of your palate. Yeah, all that stuff is.
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: This is unreal and it's really unique for me.
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: And I don't know you can actually help me out
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: here because I'm a bit of a rook here when
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: it comes to this stuff. But to me, from the
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: rye I've had over the years, it really is kind
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: of unique to have a creamy kind of buttery consistent
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: to a part of the flavor, right because ryes really
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: aren't known for that, are they.
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: So that comes from two producers.
- 1:02:50Speaker 19: One is Fray Ranch out of Nevada and there are
- 1:02:52Speaker 19: one hundred percent of state so all the rye grain
- 1:02:54Speaker 19: that grows their own proprietary ride that they've been growing
- 1:02:57Speaker 19: since the eighteen nineties. And then then other one is
- 1:03:00Speaker 19: the Brooklyn distillery over on the West coast, but he's
- 1:03:03Speaker 19: on he's actually in Brooklyn, New York, and he gets
- 1:03:06Speaker 19: all of his rye right out of the Hudson Valley.
- 1:03:08Speaker 19: He just fills on an antique coffee still which is
- 1:03:11Speaker 19: the original column still from like the eighteen twenty Wow.
- 1:03:14Speaker 19: And so he is able to get this really rich,
- 1:03:17Speaker 19: creamy butteriness one from his fermentation.
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: But that's still that he has.
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: It's really important and bro it stays like when you
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: when you get it on your palate like that, even
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: after a few minutes, a lot of flavor with with
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: whiskeys that don't have that real good lasting power, it'll
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: wash out of your It'll wash off your palate pretty quickly.
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: This one does not do that.
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: I mean you can drink a sip and then thirty
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: seconds a minute later kind of give it a little
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: pop and it'll come right back and live in your mouth.
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: I'm still tasting. Yeah. So that that's our blending process.
- 1:03:45Speaker 19: So we focus on the finish of a whiskey, because
- 1:03:49Speaker 19: if the finish of the whiskey makes you salivate, makes
- 1:03:52Speaker 19: you want a little bit more of it, you're probably
- 1:03:53Speaker 19: gonna have another sip of bit and you know you're
- 1:03:56Speaker 19: probably gonna enjoy it a lot longer.
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: It's it's a marketing tricks. Yeah, you know, that's how
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: we pay our rent.
- 1:04:02Speaker 14: Jack.
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: Yeah, we're fooling them, Jacky.
- 1:04:06Speaker 19: We but people aren't liking what you're making. It's gonna
- 1:04:09Speaker 19: be tough in the first of the month and the finish.
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: And by the way, it's funny you said sasparilla, and
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: I totally forgot when you said it kind of rolled
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: past me and then I look over to the texting
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: service and it's and it's root beer, right, root beer.
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: And it's so funny. When I turned the when I
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: took the first time, I was like, oh, that's kind
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: of root beery. I I said that to myself and
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: I was like, that's kind of root beery. But when
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: you said sasparilla didn't connect. Yeah, that's exactly what it is.
- 1:04:31Speaker 19: That's all coming from the Oregon Spirits, so out they're
- 1:04:33Speaker 19: out of Oregon out there. They're absolutely incredible what they do.
- 1:04:36Speaker 19: That's a state rye as well. That's one hundred percent
- 1:04:38Speaker 19: of State Rye that's there, and their stuff is packed
- 1:04:41Speaker 19: with eucalyptus.
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: Yeah, and baking.
- 1:04:44Speaker 19: It's my allspice Sasparillo root beer notes like all that
- 1:04:46Speaker 19: stuff comes out of their rideous look there after nine
- 1:04:50Speaker 19: years in a barrel, it still picks up all that
- 1:04:51Speaker 19: as well.
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: This is how epic this liquid that I just consumed is.
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: This is a ten out of ten if you are
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: listening to this, if you are looking for a gift,
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: and if you love shopping local, this is one of
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: the best Orlando anything. I think the city of Orlando's
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: ever sold. I am genuinely being serious. I'm in love
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: with that ride. I only I didn't like Rise before
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: like three weeks ago. See what you did, Tom, You've
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: broken Look, I'll just tell the listeners this. This is
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: a blend of East Coast, West coast, all to go
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: and seven to nine years old. This is like a
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: rap battle of whiskey. This is a country road trip
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: of a whiskey.
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: Would have been good. That would have been a good
- 1:05:35Speaker 3: name instead of Convergence Battle. I disagree.
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: I think I am absolutely in love with this Convergence
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: rye coming out next month.
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: Wow.
- 1:05:43Speaker 19: Yeah, we're going to sell through it pretty quickly. But
- 1:05:45Speaker 19: we've got a ton of stuff on the on that's
- 1:05:47Speaker 19: coming out for the end of the year. We've got uh,
- 1:05:50Speaker 19: whiskey's coming out in October, We've got really out in November.
- 1:05:53Speaker 19: We've got too on December, We've got We've got lots
- 1:05:55Speaker 19: of wow on the hopper.
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: And this is another opportunity, like you know, and I
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: know that's kind of weird and august talking about Christmas,
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: but because of the limited availability of this, if you
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: do have a whiskey lover in your in your family
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: and you want to really turn it up Christmas morning
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: and surprise somebody was something ultimately unique. Only three hundred
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: bottles of this will be produced at eighty four dollars
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: ninety nine cents a bottle. I would say getting one
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: early for possibly a gift for somebody who is a
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: whiskey lover would not be the worst idea ever.
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: No, no, not.
- 1:06:21Speaker 19: Agree with that jack assessment.
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: I'll put another little claim on this bottle when it
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: comes to whiskey and whenever you see what notes to expect,
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: and I know a lot of people like Jack, I believe,
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: looks at the notes and goes, how do you guys
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: taste cedar? Because he just said peanut, butter and milk.
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: But I would beg I would say that the green
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: apple note that is attached to this whiskey is my
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: strongest note experience that I've had out of a spirit.
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: As soon as I up front, as soon as I
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: took a sip, I looked at Jack and I went ooh,
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: that's sweet. He did and that, and then all the sudden,
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: it's green apple. What do you taste on the back end,
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: because that's what keeps you coming back? I do taste
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: an adventure that needs some more continuing It is that
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: does a special liquid. You came in here saying this
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: is one of your favorites.
- 1:07:15Speaker 19: Hey, great, I'm glad I get to you. Guys are
- 1:07:17Speaker 19: the first ones to try this outside? Oh come on
- 1:07:20Speaker 19: outside of the distillery. Yeah, so this isn't available yet.
- 1:07:22Speaker 19: It's coming out next month, Orlando, buckle up three under bottles.
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: Yeah, it's it. It's America. It tastes like America.
- 1:07:30Speaker 19: It tastes like America. Hey, so I heard you all
- 1:07:33Speaker 19: got an award recently.
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, and I heard the last abe with the
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: Orlando Weekly. Yeah.
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: We were a third best radio show, buddy, Hey, so
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: what's awesome? It was third best boys. He was Comedian
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: of the Year. The station was number one.
- 1:07:46Speaker 19: Yeah, you know what we got. We also got third place.
- 1:07:49Speaker 19: You're the best bar in Winter Parker third place.
- 1:07:51Speaker 3: Awesome, dude, that's great news.
- 1:07:53Speaker 19: It's really great news because we're not even really an
- 1:07:55Speaker 19: actual bar. It's our tasting tasting room is so amazing
- 1:07:58Speaker 19: and our staff is unbelieve evil.
- 1:08:00Speaker 17: Boy.
- 1:08:00Speaker 19: I don't know how we got so lucky with the
- 1:08:02Speaker 19: staff that we have, but uh yeah, so yeah, we're
- 1:08:04Speaker 19: both third placers.
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: And the funny thing is, it's so funny when I
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: play when we play trivia, our team name is third
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: Place Heroes because even in trivia, we always seem to
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: come in third place.
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: I'm gonna tell you, I'm gonna call it right now.
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: Third place is a great name for a whiskey. That's
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: where the winners are. That's a great name for a whiskey.
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: And by the way, the other cool thing about the
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: tasting room is this, like when you go into any
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: normal bar, you're gonna see the brand you see all
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: the time. You're gonna see your nub Creek, you're gonna
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: see your Rustles, you're gonna see your Woodfords and stuff
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: like that. That doesn't really happen at Ford Slash they
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: probably do have some whiskeys that are there, you know, continuously,
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: some house whiskeys, but you get stuff like this as
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: well that is rare and only around for a short
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: period of time. So you get that unique experience that
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: you can't really get at other places when you're buying
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: whiskey cocktails or drinks.
- 1:08:44Speaker 19: Yeah, that was you know, kind of kind of by design,
- 1:08:47Speaker 19: but also out of necessity. You know, these smaller producers,
- 1:08:49Speaker 19: these artisanal producers and farmers, they don't you know, you're
- 1:08:52Speaker 19: talking about a couple hundred barrels of years what they're making, right,
- 1:08:55Speaker 19: So their hometown heroes, but they really don't get out
- 1:08:57Speaker 19: around the country.
- 1:08:58Speaker 3: So you're my hometown here, buddy. Listen, when you guys
- 1:09:01Speaker 3: get down to your last little we have to stop
- 1:09:04Speaker 3: doing this on air. I got you can't. I just
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: in love.
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: When you get down to your lettus littleip and you
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: only have about that much, let it sit for a
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: second and then smell it and smell how alive it
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: is when when it's really aerating a lot, when it's
- 1:09:17Speaker 2: really coming to life.
- 1:09:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:09:18Speaker 19: So usually when we're tasting to like grade them, we'll
- 1:09:21Speaker 19: let them sit and let air hit them for about
- 1:09:23Speaker 19: twenty minutes. Sure, yeah, and that what you have a
- 1:09:25Speaker 19: lot of volatile aromas that will evaporate in that twenty
- 1:09:28Speaker 19: minutes and then you can get really down to the
- 1:09:30Speaker 19: business business of what's in that.
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: And when you do that, you get a lot of
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: toast in there, you get I mean, there's just wonderful toasty.
- 1:09:36Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's really good.
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: And one last I can talk about this for days,
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: but real fast, the Thornhurst rye that I absolutely fell
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: in love with ago from a couple of weeks ago.
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: It no longer exists. Yeah, that's done. That's in the vault,
- 1:09:50Speaker 3: and that's the beauty.
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: That's what we're talking about it again, the exclusivity like
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: that make rip of what they are doing over at
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: forward slash Is it say it's a win in Rome
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: and you're invited, Yeah, it is. It's all missed that
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: it's a drink forward slash dot com. If you want
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: to just hit the website up. By the way, you
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: guys to do you can do corporate events if you
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: want to have a corporate event there. Their tasting room
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: is open and malleable because you guys allow a lot
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: of cool stuff to happen over there, And if you're online,
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: it's Instagram is again drink Forward Slash follow these guys.
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: And if you love the Jim Colbert Show and you
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: go to forward Slash and you mentioned that you listen
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: to the show, they'll give you a free shot.
- 1:10:28Speaker 3: Whoa, how about that? Yeah, you get a free complimentary
- 1:10:31Speaker 3: shot of bourbon or rye as just kind of an
- 1:10:33Speaker 3: introduction into us. How about that.
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: Open tonight and tomorrow until eleven o'clock. So if you're
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: you're out and about swing By, they're on Capin and
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: it's halting. Capan is the intersection.
- 1:10:43Speaker 19: Capin is the intersection, but Fairbanks is the one that
- 1:10:46Speaker 19: everybody knows. That's where our parking lot is on and
- 1:10:48Speaker 19: so on cap and yeah.
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: And I was just talking to the sales rep that
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: handles Tim of those guys, and we're working on something
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: to have like a food compliment type thing at the
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: tasting room coming up in the next little bit. So
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: or that's just now starting to bubble, so look forward
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: to that. Yeah, it's gonna be a lot of fun.
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: Always good seenea Buddy allowed.
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: Ford Slash God.
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: Three hundred bottles. That's all that will exist. It's convergence.
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: Rye go grab it eighty four to ninety nine a
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: bottle about eighty five bucks. And again, if you have
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: somebody who's a giant whiskey lover in your family and
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: you want to get Christmas done early, great.
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: Time to do it.
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: And like Riss Ross said a second ago, once this
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: is gone, this is it coming out in September. He'll
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: see you next month. Can't get more limited than this, man.
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: Always good seenia, brother, Thank you so much, all right
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: for seven nine six four one text us seven seven

- 1:11:38Speaker 3: So I know you won't play this, but sometimes the pizza, man,
- 1:11:47Speaker 3: it is fantastic, dude.
- 1:11:48Speaker 15: It's the best pizza you'll ever have.
- 1:11:50Speaker 6: Man.
- 1:11:51Speaker 15: Jimmy has a guy that that cooks. When they present
- 1:11:54Speaker 15: it to you, you'll be able to look at it. Go,
- 1:11:56Speaker 15: this is gonna be an amazing pizza. It's it's awesome, dude.
- 1:12:00Speaker 15: Cases even the way it looks. Jacket will for you, man, seriously,
- 1:12:04Speaker 15: and by the way, the V and new ball.
- 1:12:06Speaker 3: Stands for V pizza.
- 1:12:07Speaker 15: Oh what it is Herbert Jacksonville, Try it, man, it's awesome.
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: Have a good weekend anybody.
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: I guess they won in Gainsville as well. Somebody just
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: texted and said the one in Gainsville is amazing as well. Also,
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: somebody texted and said, how do I get a bottle
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: of this convergence? Ry, Well, it doesn't release until September.
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: What I would tell you this, These have become very popular.
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: My man Tim has hit a nerve in Orlando, and
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: the bottle that we're trying next week that we will
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: feature is already sold out. Just to give you an
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: idea of how popular this stuff is. So when this
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: bottle hits in September, you can go to drinkford slash
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: dot com, find out when the release date's gonna be there,
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: and then get your name on that list and get
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: a bottle. There's only three hundred, so you only You're
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: probably gonna have a relatively short period of time to
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: find that.
- 1:12:50Speaker 3: He said. The bottle we'll trying next week sold out
- 1:12:52Speaker 3: in hours.
- 1:12:53Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: I have a feeling they'll let us know when the
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: convergence comes out and then we can mention that.
- 1:12:58Speaker 3: Absolutely, he said, some time in scept So we're looking
- 1:13:00Speaker 3: forward to that.
- 1:13:01Speaker 5: Man.
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: He's so you know, and so like with any business owner,
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: it's awesome to find somebody that is unbelievably passionate about
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: what they do and they're very knowledgeable. And that cat
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: is deep in it. I mean he is in it.
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: He's in he's in a whiskey barrel. Yeah, he is
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: a whiskey I mean he is a whiskey barrel. I mean,
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: this guy loves it, knows everything about it, speaks right
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: in your face about it, no hesitation. It's part of
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: his life. It was very cool to have him in.
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: We love those two guys. Drink forward slash dot com.
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: I gotta stop myself short from like hyperbole because like
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: I got emotional drinking that because it's from Orlando, Like
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: he blended it here in Orlando. Forward Slash is making
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: stuff that only Orlando can I mean other people can enjoy,
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: but it's it's kind of ours. It's part of our
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: I hope the best for Forward Slash because the bigger
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: they get, the bigger Orlando gets in an identity, a culture,
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: something that we're known for. I'm rooting for them for
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: the rest of my life. Yeah, I can't wait to
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: yeah go over there and do some cool stuff. I
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: was just talking to him about an idea that I
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: have of a pairing of food and whiskey and cocktails.
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: There it would only be like forty people would be
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: a very intimate scenario with some cool stuff happening, and
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: they are so down it's crazy. And uh, the last segment,
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: I was saying that, like, this note of green apple
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: is so forward to me that I would beg anybody
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: who doesn't really get onto the whole note train to
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: try this whiskey and see if you taste or feel
- 1:14:27Speaker 2: or smell or have that on the pallette of green apple.
- 1:14:30Speaker 3: And Jack I was gonna say, ja, I didn't say
- 1:14:32Speaker 3: a word. I couldn't get a word in because we're
- 1:14:36Speaker 3: so excited.
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: Yeah, every time you took a breath, and this guy
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: would we'll tell us all about it.
- 1:14:43Speaker 3: I liked it. It tastes good. And what did you
- 1:14:47Speaker 3: taste apple? And what color was color? Apple? Be careful here,
- 1:14:53Speaker 3: it was green? Okay?
- 1:14:54Speaker 5: Good.
- 1:14:55Speaker 3: Jack had his first like note experience.
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: Via this whiskey, and he was just talking about not
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: having note experiences last week.
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: You've grown so much, we'll see.
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: And then you said you wanted a peanut butter and
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: jelly pizza and just brought it all back down.
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: If you haven't tried it, is there really one? No,
- 1:15:14Speaker 3: I'll get out of here. Well we could do it,
- 1:15:15Speaker 3: all right, very good. You cut an incrustable into eight
- 1:15:19Speaker 3: triangles and you're kind of there.
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: But Peanu butter and jelly on toast. Yeah, you could
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: do a pizza. Yeah, you can certainly do that. My
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: wife made a pita this morning. What's a little breakfast pita.
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: I haven't hit yet. I had a peda in a while.
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: It was very good fun time. Yeah, all right, all
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: right for seven nine one six four one again, you
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: can always text us at seven seven is zero three one.
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: Coming up next week is a big busy weekend for us.
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: By the way, Taste Taste CFL is Friday night, and
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: then of course fourteen Sketches is Saturday night.
- 1:15:49Speaker 3: So it's a packed up weekend Saturday.
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: Sorry, yeah, complete packed up weekend next week with fun stuff,
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: good times for sure. So I don't know what happened here,
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: and this is like god it we're doing a lot
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: of food stuff today. But did you guys hear about
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: the Orange County sex offender who was accused of exposing himself?
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: Where does food come into play? Into that. Wait a second, huh,
- 1:16:13Speaker 3: wait for it. Do you know have you heard the story?
- 1:16:15Speaker 4: Oh?
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: Yeah, was that at like a play place or something.
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: We asked a quick question, and this is, by the
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: way I'm going to ask this question. This has nothing
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: to do with the brand that I'm asking the question about.
- 1:16:26Speaker 2: So you just right off rip. You tell me where
- 1:16:29Speaker 2: you would think this will happen. This guy exposed himself
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: in front of a fast food restaurant. What fast food restaurant.
- 1:16:36Speaker 3: Do you think it was? Did you say what Popeyes?
- 1:16:39Speaker 3: You nailed it immediately. How did you get.
- 1:16:41Speaker 4: That because it's Popeyes.
- 1:16:44Speaker 3: I would have never guessed Popeyes.
- 1:16:45Speaker 6: Well, it's not gonna happen at Chick fil a, maybe,
- 1:16:48Speaker 6: I think, Actually I think the opposite.
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: I think that's why he usually asked something like that,
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: because it's something you don't think it me. Yeah, it's
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: an Authority's sixty five year old Michael Knight, not my guy, okay,
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: very good, exposed himself. This is like the fifteenth time
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: this guy's done this. I ain't facetious, but I'm here.
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: This is his thing. He likes exposing himself. He gets
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: a free smoothie after ten He says, stop exactly got
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: a punch card.
- 1:17:14Speaker 3: That's a dark punch card, but it exists.
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: He was out on bond for a case in April
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: apparently where he did the kind of the same thing.
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: It says, when you have these serial fenders, they're not rehabilitated,
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: they will come out a short sense in jail and
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: just go right back to it. And if you know
- 1:17:28Speaker 2: anything about sex offenders, and this is a sex offender,
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: I know it doesn't he's not attacking anybody by any means,
- 1:17:33Speaker 2: but it kind of is. The recidivism rate for these
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: people is like literally almost one hundred percent, so it's
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: almost beyond repair. He in two thousand and two, he
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: was already busted doing it, and he did it in
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: twenty twelve in a Maitland park where he ran up
- 1:17:49Speaker 2: to her a woman in a Maitland park and he goes,
- 1:17:51Speaker 2: I'm about.
- 1:17:51Speaker 3: To get naked.
- 1:17:53Speaker 4: At least he was on it.
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: He was found guilty of indecent exposure and then just
- 1:17:57Speaker 2: backing on the street again. Oh, by the way, he's
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: moved dawn. He moved on two Popeyes because he originally
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: started his showing his junk at another fast.
- 1:18:06Speaker 4: Food restaurant there you go, there's your Chick fil a Jack.
- 1:18:08Speaker 3: Which one is that you guys think burger king? God,
- 1:18:12Speaker 3: you guys are too good. It's scary that you know
- 1:18:16Speaker 3: where people show they're junk.
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: I didn't have a guess, but I gotta tell you
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: both are accurate.
- 1:18:22Speaker 3: Yeah. And by the way, the.
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: Burger King that he flashed first in twenty twenty two
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: is exactly three miles away from the Popeyes in which
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: he did the same thing.
- 1:18:31Speaker 4: Well, it needed air.
- 1:18:32Speaker 6: It's been three miles. It's hot out there walking along
- 1:18:36Speaker 6: the side of the road. You know, we got swamp.
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: Do you think after burger King healed, I'm taking my
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: service somewhere else?
- 1:18:42Speaker 4: No, he l I got your king.
- 1:18:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:18:44Speaker 2: And the funniest part of the story is when you
- 1:18:46Speaker 2: go to the story, Channel six goes to a local
- 1:18:49Speaker 2: attorney to get to talk about the charges and what
- 1:18:51Speaker 2: it's all about. What do you think that local attorney is,
- 1:18:53Speaker 2: let's go three for three market and Jame.
- 1:18:57Speaker 3: Uh boo.
- 1:18:59Speaker 4: I don't know Dan Newlan Ray Trindley.
- 1:19:04Speaker 3: I wanted to say friendly, but I.
- 1:19:06Speaker 6: Thought so that's when they want to put him on
- 1:19:09Speaker 6: the news, is when somebody's showing up junk.
- 1:19:12Speaker 3: Yeah, they went to him, and I guess they talked
- 1:19:13Speaker 3: to Ray about I think he has kind of a
- 1:19:15Speaker 3: deal with Channel six or whatever where he you know,
- 1:19:17Speaker 3: where he kind of goes on the record exactly and
- 1:19:21Speaker 3: now Ray does it. But yeah, sure enough, there he is.
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: Uh.
- 1:19:25Speaker 3: And this guy, I mean, this guy, he's not you know,
- 1:19:28Speaker 3: he's just there.
- 1:19:28Speaker 6: He is right there, Ray Tredly, that's talking about Oh yeah,
- 1:19:33Speaker 6: given that legal advice, well you're gonna want.
- 1:19:35Speaker 3: To keep it in. I'm just so happy you give
- 1:19:38Speaker 3: a guy like that right.
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: I'm just happy that my rush that I yearn for
- 1:19:43Speaker 2: and want is to go on a stage and tell jokes.
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: It's not to show you're junk to people, No, not
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: one bit. In fact, I mean you got to be
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: a pretty confident guy. There's a couple of things that
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: we can learn from this guy.
- 1:19:54Speaker 3: Man.
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: I guess I don't understand you know, of course you
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: don't understand it because you don't have that urge where
- 1:19:59Speaker 2: that ex like you. But I saw a video online
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: the other day where they were You know, when you're
- 1:20:03Speaker 2: watching any Instagram or any any short video, you don't
- 1:20:06Speaker 2: really know what's going on. But it's videotape of a close,
- 1:20:09Speaker 2: you know, of a camera in a store, and this
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: guy walks in, looks like a regular dude, wearing a
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: blank taktop, he's got shorts on, he's got his you know,
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: looks like he's in good shape. And he's walking into
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: the store. And he goes over to this one one
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: area of the store and he's got it. Stands there
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: for a minute and they're like, uh, and this is
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: when the crime happens.
- 1:20:26Speaker 3: And you don't see anything happen. You don't see anything happen.
- 1:20:29Speaker 3: And I'm like, what's this guy doing? And then you
- 1:20:31Speaker 3: see that right shoulder moving. Oh no, then you really
- 1:20:35Speaker 3: see it moving.
- 1:20:36Speaker 6: Ah, you know that's a thing right now, Then you
- 1:20:39Speaker 6: see it really moving.
- 1:20:40Speaker 2: Dude was was doing, was doing with himself self pleasure.
- 1:20:44Speaker 2: He was doing self pleasure to the cash register, to
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: the lady who was run the cash register, like while
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: behind the candy counter. And it wasn't even cool about it,
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: Like you have to know that if you're at a store,
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: you're on camera.
- 1:20:55Speaker 3: And he couldn't stop himself ill he eventually stopped himself.
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: He is maybe he's a comedy fan.
- 1:21:01Speaker 2: He was doing a Louis c k Oh my god, dude,
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: it was I mean again, it's not what. It didn't
- 1:21:05Speaker 2: look like a near to well, didn't look like a
- 1:21:07Speaker 2: bum or anything like that. Look like a regular guy
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: just came from a workout.
- 1:21:10Speaker 3: Or something and gave into his demons. He can't take
- 1:21:13Speaker 3: it anymore. There's a lot of people, so that means
- 1:21:16Speaker 3: there's a lot of variables. Yeah, all right.
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: Four seven nine one Texas seven seven zero three one.
- 1:21:21Speaker 2: Our nutritionist friend Sarah Gia is up next.
- 1:21:25Speaker 14: Awesome.
- 1:21:26Speaker 7: He liked the mango habanero pizza.
- 1:21:29Speaker 18: Try double a guard in fusion over a nw Smerna
- 1:21:32Speaker 18: bea chocolate Flagler Avenue.
- 1:21:34Speaker 5: It's right to the left of the Big Hampton Hotel.
- 1:21:37Speaker 4: They have a Diablo pizza there.
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: Dude, that's toe or And if.
- 1:21:41Speaker 7: You want somewhere special and kind of a nice venue
- 1:21:43Speaker 7: to take your girl on a date, go ahead.
- 1:21:46Speaker 5: They got that too.
- 1:21:46Speaker 3: The venue is awesome nice. That sounds good. I haven't
- 1:21:48Speaker 3: heard of that. We were just over there by the
- 1:21:50Speaker 3: way Chris and North Carolina. Butree with Jack. It's not charge.
- 1:21:54Speaker 3: It's a burner. It's a bunch of uppitie people.
- 1:21:58Speaker 20: Look at me.
- 1:21:59Speaker 3: I ain't trophy. It's the best, No it's burnt. It
- 1:22:03Speaker 3: sucks a groom with Jack on that one. Cozza sucks
- 1:22:08Speaker 3: gues it does. I can't imagine somebody from Carolina have anything.
- 1:22:12Speaker 3: Take all right one text seven seven zero thirty one.
- 1:22:16Speaker 17: I'm Jim.
- 1:22:17Speaker 3: There's deb Hello. Yeah, yep, sauces hears believe in yourself.
- 1:22:20Speaker 3: We do not have an intro for her.
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: Yet, but I will tell you we love it when
- 1:22:23Speaker 2: she comes in. You guys, give it up good lound
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: for Sarah Gia. What do he said? License nutrition is
- 1:22:31Speaker 2: here in Orlando that drops by occasionally. You talk about
- 1:22:33Speaker 2: things with your health and how you make that better.
- 1:22:36Speaker 3: How you doing.
- 1:22:37Speaker 14: I'm great.
- 1:22:37Speaker 20: Thank you guys so much for having me in, although
- 1:22:39Speaker 20: a little too late for the whiskey.
- 1:22:41Speaker 3: Yeah, thank you.
- 1:22:42Speaker 2: I had no idea you were a whiskey girl. I
- 1:22:44Speaker 2: have to tell you you just gain a bunch of points.
- 1:22:46Speaker 2: We love whiskey girls, but you said you're not much
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: more rye girl. But you and your husband drink some
- 1:22:50Speaker 2: bourbon occasionally.
- 1:22:51Speaker 20: Yeah, but it sounds based on what your last person
- 1:22:53Speaker 20: was saying, like I've missed out on some good rides.
- 1:22:55Speaker 3: Well, let me tell you at the end of this,
- 1:22:56Speaker 3: we'll give you a little snort and see what you think.
- 1:22:57Speaker 3: Thank you very good.
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: So usually you come in, we have like a theme
- 1:23:01Speaker 2: of what we're doing. And I love the one that
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: you sent over today because I know a lot of
- 1:23:04Speaker 2: people kind of have issues with certain things and sometimes
- 1:23:08Speaker 2: that your stomach can't take coffee or whatever. We're talking
- 1:23:11Speaker 2: about what you do in the mornings to give yourself energy,
- 1:23:13Speaker 2: you know. And I've said a thousand times on the air,
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: and I think almost everybody in these rooms is probably
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: the same. Maybe not Ross, but I know Jack and
- 1:23:20Speaker 2: deb and myself. I think the first thing we do
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: when we wake up is go make coffee. Yep, that
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: is the same with you, Deborah. Oh yeah, yeah, Like
- 1:23:27Speaker 2: the first thing I do is make a cup of coffee,
- 1:23:30Speaker 2: and it's almost like habitual for me. But I do
- 1:23:32Speaker 2: think that caffeine is one of those things that kind
- 1:23:34Speaker 2: of pops up. Now, Roll, you're more of a more
- 1:23:36Speaker 2: of an ice coffee guy, right, I am an ic
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: coffee guy. However, I have never missed this. I start
- 1:23:42Speaker 2: off my day with two glasses of ice water.
- 1:23:44Speaker 3: Oh there you go.
- 1:23:45Speaker 2: Yeah, that's also that's one of the best things you
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: can do, right yeaheah. But you said that there's some
- 1:23:49Speaker 2: other things out there we can do well.
- 1:23:51Speaker 20: I wanted to talk since it's back to school timeframe.
- 1:23:54Speaker 20: A lot of parents are tired from waking up early
- 1:23:56Speaker 20: to bring their kids to school, like myself. Yes, high
- 1:23:59Speaker 20: school starts a sou twenty, and I am tired leaving
- 1:24:02Speaker 20: the house at six forty five. So I thought it
- 1:24:04Speaker 20: would be a good idea to talk about morning energy.
- 1:24:06Speaker 20: You talk a little bit more about caffeine. We talked
- 1:24:08Speaker 20: about coffee because I remember being upset that I was
- 1:24:10Speaker 20: gonna maybe try and take coffee away and I didn't.
- 1:24:14Speaker 3: I'll do that.
- 1:24:14Speaker 20: I drink coffee as well. I did say be careful
- 1:24:17Speaker 20: what you put in it. But I thought it'd be
- 1:24:18Speaker 20: interesting to talk about some of the questions and myths
- 1:24:20Speaker 20: that's around caffeine and things that make you feel more.
- 1:24:24Speaker 14: Awake in the morning.
- 1:24:25Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, let's get.
- 1:24:25Speaker 14: It all right.
- 1:24:26Speaker 20: Let's start with my first question. How much sleep dou
- 1:24:30Speaker 20: tines actually need?
- 1:24:32Speaker 3: Ten hours? Yeah, eight to ten hours? I need a lot?
- 1:24:36Speaker 5: What?
- 1:24:36Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah?
- 1:24:37Speaker 14: What do you think ross?
- 1:24:38Speaker 3: Seven?
- 1:24:40Speaker 5: Not?
- 1:24:40Speaker 14: How much do they get? How much do they need?
- 1:24:44Speaker 3: Seven?
- 1:24:46Speaker 14: Eight to ten? You hit it on the head, yeah, yea, yeah,
- 1:24:48Speaker 14: that's what they recommend.
- 1:24:49Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure.
- 1:24:50Speaker 14: Next question, how many of you know teenagers getting ten hours?
- 1:24:53Speaker 14: We can all stay silent.
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: I had one that you should definitely get ten hours
- 1:24:57Speaker 2: of sleep. He would he could sleep through a hurricane,
- 1:25:00Speaker 2: but the others were normal sleep patterns.
- 1:25:03Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:25:03Speaker 20: Yeah, well, and school starts so early for a lot
- 1:25:05Speaker 20: of them, like my kids. So that's the first thing
- 1:25:08Speaker 20: I want to start with. In adults, you guys probably
- 1:25:10Speaker 20: know most people say eight, but it's seven to nine
- 1:25:12Speaker 20: is the recommendation for adults, right. A lot of adults
- 1:25:15Speaker 20: aren't getting enough as well. So I wanted to ask
- 1:25:18Speaker 20: the next question, does caffeine actually give your body energy?
- 1:25:23Speaker 3: No? Maybe fake energy, like like something that's like not
- 1:25:28Speaker 3: like a truth, like if you were to eat a
- 1:25:30Speaker 3: good meal kind of energy, and maybe that the superficial energy.
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: I'll say that I think it's it is superficial energy,
- 1:25:36Speaker 2: because I'm not It doesn't give you energy, but it
- 1:25:38Speaker 2: prevents you from feeling tired.
- 1:25:40Speaker 3: It gives you the energy the same way cocaine gives
- 1:25:42Speaker 3: you energy.
- 1:25:43Speaker 2: Oh then yes, actually I'll say no on coffee giving
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: or caffeine giving you energy.
- 1:25:50Speaker 3: What do you think I'll say, yes.
- 1:25:53Speaker 20: Well, thank you for going against the pack, because everyone's
- 1:25:55Speaker 20: getting all my questions correct. It does not actually give
- 1:25:59Speaker 20: you energy or what give you energy? Calories are little
- 1:26:03Speaker 20: units of energy your body uses them to produce atp
- 1:26:07Speaker 20: and you got this actually correct. Ross you hit it
- 1:26:09Speaker 20: on the head. It tricks you into feeling It basically
- 1:26:13Speaker 20: tricks your brain into feeling less tired, but it doesn't
- 1:26:16Speaker 20: actually give your body energy, which I think is really
- 1:26:19Speaker 20: interesting and most people aren't aware of.
- 1:26:20Speaker 2: Right, right, right, And again, I know there's a big
- 1:26:23Speaker 2: trend right now. We're protein like getting a lot of
- 1:26:25Speaker 2: protein in the morning or whatever. Right, that's one of
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: the big things matter. In fact, I saw a mean
- 1:26:28Speaker 2: the other day it says I feel more pressure at
- 1:26:30Speaker 2: middle age to get more protein than I did as
- 1:26:32Speaker 2: a kid.
- 1:26:33Speaker 3: Do drugs? Is that what someone sent that to me?
- 1:26:38Speaker 14: Yeah?
- 1:26:38Speaker 20: But caffeine is that? I think it's in the conversation
- 1:26:41Speaker 20: quite a lot too. I like caffeine. I drank coffee.
- 1:26:44Speaker 20: But of course there's taking it too far. And I'm
- 1:26:47Speaker 20: certainly not saying you can't have it in the morning,
- 1:26:49Speaker 20: But don't be tricked into thinking as producing energy in
- 1:26:51Speaker 20: your body. It's blocking the tiredness signals in your brain. Basically,
- 1:26:56Speaker 20: if something called it's ennyscene.
- 1:26:58Speaker 4: But how do you get how do you translate that?
- 1:27:00Speaker 6: You You know, you were talking teenagers who for the
- 1:27:02Speaker 6: most part, will live off energy drinks for the majority,
- 1:27:05Speaker 6: if not their high school career, then when they go
- 1:27:07Speaker 6: into college, believing that's what's giving them the edge.
- 1:27:10Speaker 14: Yeah, well we're going to talk about energy drinks at
- 1:27:13Speaker 14: a all.
- 1:27:16Speaker 3: Lots of great it's all the same food group. Yeah, exactly.
- 1:27:20Speaker 20: I think, at the end of the day, the most
- 1:27:22Speaker 20: important conversation you can have with your teen I'm not
- 1:27:25Speaker 20: saying it's easy, as you have to get enough sleep.
- 1:27:27Speaker 20: There's really no way to trick your body into it.
- 1:27:30Speaker 20: And caffeine is working because it's basically taking a place
- 1:27:33Speaker 20: of receptors for a dentiscene, which is something that your
- 1:27:36Speaker 20: body needs adequate.
- 1:27:37Speaker 14: Sleep to shed.
- 1:27:39Speaker 20: So at the end of the day, it's just really
- 1:27:41Speaker 20: telling kids that caffeine's just a crutch and you can
- 1:27:44Speaker 20: use it for a little bit of enjoyment, but you
- 1:27:46Speaker 20: can't fake energy with it.
- 1:27:47Speaker 2: And you get a crash, don't you. If you have
- 1:27:49Speaker 2: a lot of caffeine. I notice I usually drink one
- 1:27:51Speaker 2: cup a day, but occasionally, like today, I drink two
- 1:27:53Speaker 2: cups and you will get this weird crash like six
- 1:27:56Speaker 2: or seven hours after you drink that much coffee. I
- 1:27:57Speaker 2: can feel it when I get here to the station.
- 1:27:59Speaker 2: You're just you're just kind of power down a little
- 1:28:01Speaker 2: bit if you don't eat properly.
- 1:28:03Speaker 20: Yes, yeah, Without getting too much into the science the
- 1:28:05Speaker 20: thing that it's blocking, then basically when it stops blocking,
- 1:28:09Speaker 20: it comes flooding in and makes you feel all tired.
- 1:28:11Speaker 3: Oh yeah, Sarah.
- 1:28:12Speaker 2: One of the tails we always hear is that an
- 1:28:14Speaker 2: apple will give you more energy than a cup of coffee.
- 1:28:17Speaker 2: Now because of the calories, maybe maybe that's true.
- 1:28:21Speaker 20: I do you know what, I'm gonna skip ahead to
- 1:28:23Speaker 20: one of my questions. What's the best breakfast for keeping
- 1:28:27Speaker 20: up your energy all morning?
- 1:28:28Speaker 6: It has to be it has to be like a banana.
- 1:28:31Speaker 6: I'm gonna go Jack's favorite. I'm gonna go peanut butter.
- 1:28:34Speaker 3: I'll go avocado toast and a banana.
- 1:28:38Speaker 4: Someone else peanut butter and a banana.
- 1:28:41Speaker 2: Uh, it's something with toasts because you need carbs. I
- 1:28:44Speaker 2: believe carbs is like your main thing that we're looking for.
- 1:28:47Speaker 2: And protein as well, which means like eggs, avocado. That's
- 1:28:50Speaker 2: why I said that, because you have the como the two.
- 1:28:52Speaker 3: That's the whole balance.
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: But like specifically in the morning between protein versus carbs,
- 1:28:57Speaker 2: I think you wanta lean carbs because that's like for
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: the rest of the day.
- 1:29:01Speaker 3: That's what you burn.
- 1:29:02Speaker 2: And so what do you think I'll go like just
- 1:29:04Speaker 2: like banana toast or something just toast?
- 1:29:06Speaker 3: All right?
- 1:29:07Speaker 20: So I had options here and you guys hit on
- 1:29:09Speaker 20: a lot of avocado. Toast was one of them, Eggs
- 1:29:12Speaker 20: was one of them.
- 1:29:13Speaker 14: Fruit.
- 1:29:13Speaker 20: You guys, I have to start making these harder because
- 1:29:15Speaker 20: you guys are getting everything, but we just.
- 1:29:17Speaker 2: Don't do it. That's the problem. You know what you
- 1:29:23Speaker 2: need to work on his willpower.
- 1:29:25Speaker 20: Yes, Russ, you want some complex carbs, so berries, a
- 1:29:29Speaker 20: whole grain, really good toast, But you also want jim
- 1:29:32Speaker 20: You were right on the money with that. You want protein,
- 1:29:35Speaker 20: you want fats, and the reason is because you want
- 1:29:37Speaker 20: that sustained energy. You don't want to have something that's
- 1:29:39Speaker 20: really carb heavy. Your blood sugar and energy goes up
- 1:29:42Speaker 20: and then it crashes a little bit later. So you
- 1:29:45Speaker 20: want your fat, your healthy fats, your fiber, your protein,
- 1:29:48Speaker 20: and your complex.
- 1:29:49Speaker 2: Cart So let me ask you a quick question though,
- 1:29:51Speaker 2: because when you drink coffee, obviously you hit that buzz.
- 1:29:54Speaker 2: I don't know that you can drink like I don't
- 1:29:55Speaker 2: know if avocado toast is going to give me the
- 1:29:57Speaker 2: same kind of immediate like z buzz the coffee is
- 1:30:00Speaker 2: gonna give me or will it?
- 1:30:02Speaker 20: Well, this is more sustained. Yes, avocado toasts won't immediately
- 1:30:06Speaker 20: have that effect. But as you mentioned, the coffee is
- 1:30:08Speaker 20: gonna wear off. We don't want to keep going and
- 1:30:10Speaker 20: keep going and keep going. So a cup of coffee
- 1:30:13Speaker 20: with some eggs and whole grain toast and berries and avocado, perfect,
- 1:30:17Speaker 20: Then you've got that immediate hit, and that's sustained energy.
- 1:30:20Speaker 2: So what if you have picky kids? I mean, you
- 1:30:22Speaker 2: said it perfectly. Parents are waking up and making their
- 1:30:24Speaker 2: kids breakfast. Maybe the kids are making themselves breakfast. Usually
- 1:30:28Speaker 2: that's like a bowl of cereal. That stuff is loaded
- 1:30:29Speaker 2: with sugar and stuff. I mean, you do get the
- 1:30:31Speaker 2: protein from the milk, depending on what milk you use.
- 1:30:33Speaker 2: But do you have a recommendation for parents who can
- 1:30:36Speaker 2: make a breakfast that their kids will actually eat.
- 1:30:39Speaker 20: Gosh, that would be a whole Picky kids is a
- 1:30:41Speaker 20: whole segment on its own. At the end of the day,
- 1:30:44Speaker 20: I say, from a very young age, don't make them
- 1:30:47Speaker 20: separate meals.
- 1:30:48Speaker 14: They eat what you eat, right, So you're not starting
- 1:30:50Speaker 14: your kids.
- 1:30:50Speaker 20: You're sitting there eating your eggs in your avocado and
- 1:30:53Speaker 20: they're eating the cereal and milk. Once they're used to
- 1:30:56Speaker 20: this sort of typical kid way of eating, it definitely
- 1:30:58Speaker 20: gets a little bit harder.
- 1:30:59Speaker 14: And that's a whole There's a lot.
- 1:31:00Speaker 20: Of really great picky eater protocols out there for anyone
- 1:31:03Speaker 20: that wants to google them.
- 1:31:04Speaker 2: Yeah, talking to Sarah Gia License Nutrition US here in town.
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: We give you the contact info in just one sec.
- 1:31:08Speaker 2: I recently heard a take about sugar that I was
- 1:31:12Speaker 2: wondering if you could maybe elaborate on it. The take
- 1:31:15Speaker 2: was that sugar doesn't make your kid hyper. Sugar just
- 1:31:19Speaker 2: is basically giving a bigger gas tank. It's not changing
- 1:31:23Speaker 2: out the engine, but just having more gasoline. Does sugar
- 1:31:28Speaker 2: make kids hyper? Is that an energy?
- 1:31:31Speaker 20: You know, Spiker, Any parent knows that sugar makes kids hyper.
- 1:31:35Speaker 20: I don't care if someone says that's a myth or not.
- 1:31:38Speaker 20: It clearly does that. I haven't heard that analogy before.
- 1:31:43Speaker 20: So I hate to say this. I don't have a
- 1:31:44Speaker 20: good answer because I'm not quite sure where the analogy
- 1:31:46Speaker 20: is going with that.
- 1:31:47Speaker 2: Like instead of saying, now my kid is faster, because
- 1:31:50Speaker 2: if it's got a new engine via this sugar, it's
- 1:31:53Speaker 2: not a new engine, it's just a bigger gas tank.
- 1:31:56Speaker 2: So they're doing the same thing, but maybe for longer. Yeah,
- 1:32:00Speaker 2: sugar is the hardest thing to avoid, is it not.
- 1:32:02Speaker 2: I mean it is the hardest single thing to avoid. Well,
- 1:32:05Speaker 2: I don't know that. And sodium seems to be everywhere
- 1:32:08Speaker 2: you love.
- 1:32:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:32:09Speaker 20: Yeah, food companies, as you guys know, they put a
- 1:32:11Speaker 20: lot of research into what makes the food most palatable,
- 1:32:14Speaker 20: and they're not there to make it what's going to
- 1:32:16Speaker 20: give you the most sustained energy and healthy fats. They
- 1:32:18Speaker 20: want to do what's going to have you coming back
- 1:32:20Speaker 20: for more and more and more, and that's sugar and salt.
- 1:32:23Speaker 20: So yes, it is found in a lot of the foods.
- 1:32:25Speaker 2: Yeah, just rife with it, man, That's what's crazy. I
- 1:32:27Speaker 2: saw something the other day it was supposed to be
- 1:32:28Speaker 2: relatively healthy, and I look at the ingredients list and like, again,
- 1:32:31Speaker 2: the third thing is high fruitose, corn corn syrup, and
- 1:32:34Speaker 2: you would even like it was a it was supposed
- 1:32:36Speaker 2: to be a health snack. And then I look at
- 1:32:37Speaker 2: the snag and I'm like, oh yeah, it's coconut, it's almonds,
- 1:32:40Speaker 2: it's a shave shaved dark chocolate. You're like, this looks great.
- 1:32:43Speaker 2: You look at the back of the thing. Guess what
- 1:32:45Speaker 2: holds all those clusters together?
- 1:32:47Speaker 3: Snickers. You nailed it.
- 1:32:48Speaker 14: And that's the ingredient.
- 1:32:50Speaker 20: That's the ingredient that I tell people to really keep
- 1:32:53Speaker 20: an eye out for, not just sugar, but the high fruits.
- 1:32:56Speaker 2: And the sugar powers a lot of the bad stuff
- 1:32:57Speaker 2: that happens in your body. Right, that's one of that's
- 1:32:59Speaker 2: one of the reasons that you want to avoid it
- 1:33:01Speaker 2: because it really is the fuel for a lot of
- 1:33:02Speaker 2: that bad stuff.
- 1:33:04Speaker 20: You you at the end of the day, glue, everything
- 1:33:07Speaker 20: is really going to become blood glucose, your blood in
- 1:33:10Speaker 20: your system. So sugar is going to give you a
- 1:33:13Speaker 20: lot of energy in those spikes. But I always say,
- 1:33:15Speaker 20: what goes up must come down, ye for your blood
- 1:33:17Speaker 20: sugar is gonna go up, and then you know, it's
- 1:33:20Speaker 20: kind of I always look at it as a roller
- 1:33:21Speaker 20: coaster and then it's gonna dip and then you're going
- 1:33:23Speaker 20: to be tired and cranky and you're gonna want more
- 1:33:26Speaker 20: sugar and more caffeine and things like that.
- 1:33:29Speaker 14: So it's you know, a fun endless like.
- 1:33:30Speaker 2: Oh yeah, right, fun Sarah. Getting back to the breakfast.
- 1:33:33Speaker 2: If it's avocado toast, what's a better bread? Would it
- 1:33:36Speaker 2: be a toasted sour dough or like a multi grade
- 1:33:38Speaker 2: that's a.
- 1:33:39Speaker 3: Great question, that really is a really good question.
- 1:33:41Speaker 20: Yeah, anything that's that's homemade or made in a local
- 1:33:45Speaker 20: but BAKERI so if you're making your own sourdough or
- 1:33:47Speaker 20: there's somewhere near you that makes sour dough, I always
- 1:33:50Speaker 20: prefer something that's less processed, so that's you know, it's
- 1:33:53Speaker 20: going to be taste. That's also going to be is
- 1:33:54Speaker 20: it close to you? Homemade and a bakery. And then
- 1:33:57Speaker 20: if you're looking for something in the stores, I like
- 1:34:01Speaker 20: Zach's Killer Bread is a good one there, you know,
- 1:34:04Speaker 20: the ones that are a little bit less processed than
- 1:34:06Speaker 20: slightly smaller ingredients less And.
- 1:34:08Speaker 2: When I was making ava goodo to so I went
- 1:34:10Speaker 2: to a spate of doing that for every morning for
- 1:34:13Speaker 2: a while, and that's exactly when I would get I
- 1:34:14Speaker 2: would get that whole wheat or multi grain, and I
- 1:34:16Speaker 2: would toast it a little bit. I like my little crispy.
- 1:34:18Speaker 2: Then I would build my avocado on top with red
- 1:34:21Speaker 2: onion and sprouts and stuff.
- 1:34:22Speaker 3: It was absolutely delicious.
- 1:34:23Speaker 14: Sounds really good.
- 1:34:23Speaker 3: It is good. A little lemon on top of that. Yeah,
- 1:34:25Speaker 3: absolutely wonderful.
- 1:34:26Speaker 14: With a cup of coffee on the side.
- 1:34:28Speaker 20: I can leave into my next question, which is which
- 1:34:31Speaker 20: of these has the most caffeine. Your options are Starbucks
- 1:34:35Speaker 20: sixteen ounce iced coffee, twenty ounce of coke, twelve ounce
- 1:34:39Speaker 20: of Red Bull, twelve.
- 1:34:40Speaker 14: Ounce of Alani.
- 1:34:41Speaker 3: What's Ealani? What is that?
- 1:34:43Speaker 14: It's an energy drink that the teens are crazy about it?
- 1:34:45Speaker 11: Oh?
- 1:34:45Speaker 3: Are they really? You've heard of it?
- 1:34:46Speaker 5: Ross?
- 1:34:47Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a I have a dancer friend who's into it.
- 1:34:51Speaker 2: Well, I think I see it doesn't Are we doing
- 1:34:53Speaker 2: se menix here because it doesn't Red Bull used guanine
- 1:34:56Speaker 2: instead of caffeine or is that? Is it the same thing?
- 1:34:58Speaker 2: It's still the same thing. I'll the Red Bull.
- 1:35:02Speaker 4: I'm gonna go Alani or whatever that Yeah.
- 1:35:04Speaker 3: Yeah it was.
- 1:35:05Speaker 2: It was twenty ounce of the soda, and the other
- 1:35:08Speaker 2: ones are.
- 1:35:09Speaker 20: Twenty on soda, sixteen ounce iced coffee, and the Red
- 1:35:12Speaker 20: Bull and Alana both twelve ounce.
- 1:35:14Speaker 2: I'll go a Lonni because I think it's two hundred
- 1:35:16Speaker 2: what yeah, something like that.
- 1:35:20Speaker 3: All right, I'll take I'll take the Starbucks coffee. That's
- 1:35:23Speaker 3: almost that's the obvious bait.
- 1:35:25Speaker 14: I think, Yeah, it's Alanie. Is it really, Lannie?
- 1:35:28Speaker 20: You are right, rass. It's like you read my notes
- 1:35:30Speaker 20: before I come in here. Two hundred milligrams?
- 1:35:32Speaker 3: Yeah, really, yeah, it was. What does an average cup
- 1:35:35Speaker 3: of coffee have?
- 1:35:36Speaker 20: Well, so my Starbucks sixteen ounce iced. Most of my
- 1:35:40Speaker 20: clients I find get it iced or mixed with something,
- 1:35:43Speaker 20: which is why I chose that. And that has one
- 1:35:45Speaker 20: hundred and eighty five Okay, oh wow, that far off
- 1:35:48Speaker 20: and a regular brood if you just got sixteen ounce
- 1:35:51Speaker 20: brewed Starbucks, depending if you went medium rose blonde, all
- 1:35:54Speaker 20: of that is anywhere I was actually didn't know this.
- 1:35:56Speaker 14: I was shocked.
- 1:35:57Speaker 20: From three hundred to four hundred milligrams and sixteen ounces
- 1:36:02Speaker 20: a lot for a straight brewed coffee. And you know
- 1:36:05Speaker 20: it's to get a blonde roast that actually people might
- 1:36:07Speaker 20: think the darker roast have blessed caffeine, but the blonde
- 1:36:10Speaker 20: rose has the most caffeine r the dark roast has
- 1:36:12Speaker 20: the least and that's where you get that little bit
- 1:36:14Speaker 20: of change in the caffeine content. So I did ice
- 1:36:17Speaker 20: on here, but the answer Starbucks would have been correct
- 1:36:20Speaker 20: if it was just straight Bruce right right right, and
- 1:36:22Speaker 20: Alani two hundred. All the teens are drinking them. I
- 1:36:25Speaker 20: have two high schoolers. I see all the kids walking around.
- 1:36:27Speaker 5: Wow.
- 1:36:28Speaker 20: Really, there was a news story recently where family their
- 1:36:31Speaker 20: their high school daughter drank a lot of Alani and
- 1:36:34Speaker 20: she had cardiac arrest and died no other conditions.
- 1:36:38Speaker 14: Wow, they are suing them.
- 1:36:40Speaker 3: That was like the drink the Panera had for a
- 1:36:42Speaker 3: while or something right now.
- 1:36:44Speaker 6: Charged something like lemonade or whatever, and there was a
- 1:36:46Speaker 6: young woman who did the same thing and ended up
- 1:36:48Speaker 6: passing of cardiac arrest.
- 1:36:49Speaker 2: I want to say, Alani is I don't anybody can
- 1:36:52Speaker 2: drink it, but it seems to be a very female.
- 1:36:56Speaker 3: Focused to energy journeys girls. But I think I'm right.
- 1:37:01Speaker 14: Yeah, it's Celsius is the same.
- 1:37:03Speaker 20: I'm pretty sure Celsius bought Alani, and I believe Celsius
- 1:37:06Speaker 20: is also two hundred miloground.
- 1:37:08Speaker 2: Yeah, my son used to drink Celsius, so he stopped
- 1:37:10Speaker 2: doing that. But before that he drank monsters and I
- 1:37:12Speaker 2: mean and I mean drink them.
- 1:37:14Speaker 14: It was less.
- 1:37:15Speaker 20: Those were I think one sixty. So Alani and Celsius
- 1:37:19Speaker 20: really topped this one.
- 1:37:21Speaker 2: And then before that he and I would shotgun for loco.
- 1:37:24Speaker 3: Was what was the caffeine count on the soda?
- 1:37:27Speaker 20: The twenty ounce coke was fifty milligram, so it wasn't
- 1:37:30Speaker 20: really as much.
- 1:37:32Speaker 2: They kick you in the asked with the sugar on
- 1:37:34Speaker 2: that one though, because it's like sixty grams of sugar.
- 1:37:37Speaker 3: It's ridiculous.
- 1:37:38Speaker 2: I'm not recommending it as I had a friend who
- 1:37:40Speaker 2: got addicted to Celsius and then he started pissing stones.
- 1:37:46Speaker 3: That he was like done, he can't do it anymore.
- 1:37:50Speaker 14: Definitely be a risk factor from that.
- 1:37:52Speaker 2: If you have a parent, If you're a parent out
- 1:37:53Speaker 2: there and your kids are drinking the Silani, I mean
- 1:37:55Speaker 2: she should be should you be a little alarmed?
- 1:37:57Speaker 3: But absolutely so.
- 1:37:59Speaker 20: They wrecked men less than one hundred MILLI They really
- 1:38:01Speaker 20: A lot of pediatric institutes come out and say no caffeine.
- 1:38:05Speaker 20: But I believe it's the American Academy of Pediatrics. I'm
- 1:38:08Speaker 20: pretty sure that's correct. That says less than one hundred milligrams.
- 1:38:11Speaker 4: Wow, real, not three or fours on your way into class.
- 1:38:14Speaker 20: Oh my gosh, three or four you really could. Well,
- 1:38:16Speaker 20: you're actually what could be getting close to talks truly
- 1:38:19Speaker 20: biologically toxic levels.
- 1:38:21Speaker 14: I hope not.
- 1:38:21Speaker 6: I hope not as well. But that's the thing. They're
- 1:38:23Speaker 6: young and indestructible.
- 1:38:25Speaker 3: Yeah. Wow.
- 1:38:26Speaker 20: And then red Bull, which I thought before I started
- 1:38:29Speaker 20: researching it would have the same or more, has one
- 1:38:32Speaker 20: hundred and fifteen and a twelve ounce and most people
- 1:38:35Speaker 20: drink the eight ounce, so it even has a little
- 1:38:36Speaker 20: bit less. And I thought, you know, red Bull gives
- 1:38:38Speaker 20: you wings. I thought it would have so much. So
- 1:38:40Speaker 20: you really have to be aware of this. And especially
- 1:38:43Speaker 20: with teenagers, but even adults. If you're getting a couple
- 1:38:46Speaker 20: just plain Starbucks brewed coffees, you could really be getting
- 1:38:49Speaker 20: up there.
- 1:38:50Speaker 3: Right right right.
- 1:38:50Speaker 2: And I got to tell you, man, I don't know about
- 1:38:52Speaker 2: you guys, but I have a hard time finishing a
- 1:38:53Speaker 2: sixteen ounce star Wrecks coffee anymore. I got one the
- 1:38:55Speaker 2: other day on my way to play golf, and I
- 1:38:57Speaker 2: didn't even finish half of it. In deb's right, I mean,
- 1:38:59Speaker 2: it's it's like two eight ounce cups of coffee, which
- 1:39:02Speaker 2: even when I drink that at home, from my espresso
- 1:39:04Speaker 2: and your stomach and from two cups of coffee, it
- 1:39:07Speaker 2: is well. Also, it's a lot of caffeine, a lot
- 1:39:09Speaker 2: of a lot of grumbles.
- 1:39:11Speaker 3: Yeah, you feel me.
- 1:39:12Speaker 4: Don't want to be on the eighteen hole when that happened.
- 1:39:14Speaker 3: No, no, no, no no.
- 1:39:15Speaker 20: They really recommended alt stay below four hundred for the
- 1:39:18Speaker 20: whole day. So if you were starting your day with
- 1:39:20Speaker 20: a brood sixteen ounce, you could be getting right at
- 1:39:22Speaker 20: that four hundred a lot.
- 1:39:24Speaker 3: I can only speak for myself.
- 1:39:26Speaker 2: I think my least mental healthiest I have ever been
- 1:39:30Speaker 2: was derived from caffeine. Just in this last year, about
- 1:39:35Speaker 2: eight months ago, rock bottom and I looked at someone
- 1:39:38Speaker 2: asked me how much caffeine are you having? And then
- 1:39:40Speaker 2: I told them and they went, that's your problem. Yeah,
- 1:39:43Speaker 2: I trusted them. It was a therapist and I ran
- 1:39:47Speaker 2: with it. It has changed a lot. Caffeine, more caffeine, more
- 1:39:50Speaker 2: coffee is not the answer. There's a balance to it.
- 1:39:53Speaker 2: So you just checked it and said, you guys are
- 1:39:54Speaker 2: freaking me out. I literally just drinking a Lonnie and
- 1:39:56Speaker 2: I have eight for real fibrillation. So maybe that's a
- 1:39:59Speaker 2: bad idea for you, buddy.
- 1:40:00Speaker 14: Yeah, I'm too much caffeine.
- 1:40:02Speaker 20: You can get heart palpitations, jittery, anxious, digestive distress, nausea. Right,
- 1:40:07Speaker 20: I mean we I think most of us have felt
- 1:40:09Speaker 20: that feeling. It's not very comfortable.
- 1:40:10Speaker 2: Sorry, we're running a little bit behind. How do you
- 1:40:12Speaker 2: tell people how to make it a make an appointment
- 1:40:15Speaker 2: with you to talk about maybe their nutrition and how
- 1:40:17Speaker 2: they could straighten your life up a little bit.
- 1:40:19Speaker 20: Yes, and I do sleep quality consultations as well, so

- 1:45:27Speaker 2: all right, I'm sorry. This is the sequel of today's
- 1:45:31Speaker 2: Ross Thoughts is probably one of my favorites because I'm
- 1:45:34Speaker 2: getting something off of my chest. Have you guys ever
- 1:45:38Speaker 2: ran into a song lyric that you don't mind, but
- 1:45:41Speaker 2: when you actually take it literally, you're like, die.
- 1:45:44Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't like that. What I mean? What do
- 1:45:46Speaker 3: you mean?
- 1:45:46Speaker 2: You don't like when you hear a song lyric and
- 1:45:48Speaker 2: it's a definitive statement saying you know X is this,
- 1:45:53Speaker 2: and you just go I cannot disagree more.
- 1:45:56Speaker 3: Oh really I have.
- 1:45:58Speaker 2: I have conjured up three song lyrics that have stuck
- 1:46:01Speaker 2: out to me for the better part better part of
- 1:46:03Speaker 2: two decades. Jim, there are three song lyrics that have
- 1:46:07Speaker 2: driven me up the wall.
- 1:46:08Speaker 3: And I know I'm not alone.
- 1:46:09Speaker 2: I've talked to other people about this, so texting service
- 1:46:12Speaker 2: that one song lyric that isn't that one song that
- 1:46:15Speaker 2: makes you go, God, what did they mean that that's
- 1:46:19Speaker 2: not true? Or it's nails on a board? Text me
- 1:46:22Speaker 2: that I would love to read it on air and
- 1:46:25Speaker 2: I will tell you my top three song lyrics that
- 1:46:27Speaker 2: makes me want to just like you stupid, that's not
- 1:46:30Speaker 2: even true?
- 1:46:31Speaker 3: All right? Cool dude? Another break I.
- 1:46:33Speaker 8: Sport from.
- 1:46:35Speaker 15: Did two movies that would show I would show a
- 1:46:37Speaker 15: shaw shape redemption, get them a little bit emotional, you know,
- 1:46:41Speaker 15: let them let.
- 1:46:41Speaker 3: Them go, and then bam, blow their mind with the matrix.
- 1:46:44Speaker 3: Just hit them with the matrix. Man, I think that'd
- 1:46:46Speaker 3: be a fantastic time.
- 1:46:47Speaker 15: Also, deb, glad you're back. Hope your cammelto is doing fine.
- 1:46:51Speaker 3: Oh my god, we didn't say that, My God, almighty,
- 1:46:54Speaker 3: she's gonna get super piss off your stuff. We never
- 1:46:57Speaker 3: said that. I never said that.
- 1:46:58Speaker 2: Jesus.
- 1:47:01Speaker 4: Don't bring Jesus into this.
- 1:47:03Speaker 3: I won't, I promise. Yeah, Jim and I never said that.
- 1:47:06Speaker 2: All right, four O seven nine seven seven zero three one.
- 1:47:11Speaker 2: I am Jim deb is here. Hell so is Jackson. Yep,
- 1:47:14Speaker 2: and Ross has some thoughts.
- 1:47:15Speaker 3: Let's get him. It's true. It's weird. Hey Jack, are
- 1:47:19Speaker 3: you in love? Yeah, sometime you're in love with me?
- 1:47:22Speaker 3: It's yeah, spell he'll like sauce. It's Rossott.
- 1:47:28Speaker 2: Ross thoughts has brought to you by personal injury attorney
- 1:47:31Speaker 2: Mo DeWitt. Injured on the go, Just Callmo. I've had
- 1:47:35Speaker 2: he throws great events. There he's about to have a beer.
- 1:47:39Speaker 2: You can have a beer with him over at ten ten.
- 1:47:40Speaker 2: You can go to his website. Just call MO dot com.
- 1:47:43Speaker 2: Man is active, he's got his events, and also he's
- 1:47:46Speaker 2: providing all of the legal care that you need when
- 1:47:48Speaker 2: it comes to car accidents and slip and fall.
- 1:47:50Speaker 3: Just call MO dot com and I just I've been
- 1:47:52Speaker 3: I've known Mo for a while. But it's a funny.
- 1:47:54Speaker 2: I just had probably I think the longest conversation I've
- 1:47:57Speaker 2: ever had with him at the poker tournament. Just walked
- 1:47:59Speaker 2: up and start of chat with him. He's a great dude,
- 1:48:01Speaker 2: but he's a great hang. Today's rostos is all about
- 1:48:04Speaker 2: song lyrics. Some song lyrics are forever entwined into your
- 1:48:09Speaker 2: soul for the rest of your life. Agreed, Right, you
- 1:48:12Speaker 2: are a big cat cradle silver spoon guy, right, Jim.
- 1:48:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:48:16Speaker 2: Also, I made my kids listen to Pink Floyd's Time
- 1:48:20Speaker 2: because I think it is a very very I think
- 1:48:22Speaker 2: it's an educational for.
- 1:48:23Speaker 3: Young people to listen to that song.
- 1:48:25Speaker 2: I agree real fast some of the some of the song.
- 1:48:30Speaker 2: And here's the thing about falling in love with song lyrics.
- 1:48:32Speaker 2: Doesn't it feel a little out of your control?
- 1:48:35Speaker 3: Yeah? Sure does.
- 1:48:36Speaker 2: Like it's not your brain making the choice. Oh I
- 1:48:39Speaker 2: love this song lyric. It's your heart, it's your soul tale.
- 1:48:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:48:43Speaker 2: Sure, you not want to like something you eat, but
- 1:48:45Speaker 2: I mean if it's if it tastes good and it
- 1:48:47Speaker 2: hits you where you want, you're gonna like it. So
- 1:48:49Speaker 2: like like I remember one of my favorite song lyrics
- 1:48:52Speaker 2: was definitely in one of the songs and it's not.
- 1:48:54Speaker 3: Poetic or anything, but it's just perfect and it's so screamed.
- 1:48:57Speaker 2: It's from the band Non Point, Non Point.
- 1:49:02Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah yeah.
- 1:49:04Speaker 2: And that peak when that first single, when he hits
- 1:49:07Speaker 2: that crescendo on the.
- 1:49:08Speaker 3: Nobody nobody gets out alive. I get goosebumps.
- 1:49:12Speaker 2: Dude, I'm ready to punch a brick wall. I get
- 1:49:15Speaker 2: so excited. But on the surface, I go, why do
- 1:49:18Speaker 2: I like that lyrics so much? And it's because it
- 1:49:21Speaker 2: spoke to what I was born with, not who I became, right,
- 1:49:25Speaker 2: And that's the beautiful thing about music. Now, on the
- 1:49:28Speaker 2: flip side of that, there are some song lyrics that
- 1:49:31Speaker 2: I have heard throughout my entire life that have never
- 1:49:34Speaker 2: left me from a pure hate filled point of view,
- 1:49:39Speaker 2: like you can't stand it because I can't stand it.
- 1:49:41Speaker 2: You don't think it's true.
- 1:49:43Speaker 3: It's not true. It's a bad take.
- 1:49:44Speaker 2: It's a bad take. It pisses me off. It doesn't
- 1:49:48Speaker 2: make sense. I'll start it off and sync's song pop Okay,
- 1:49:53Speaker 2: derrety pop, derrety pop.
- 1:49:56Speaker 3: You remember that. I remember that song, and I remember
- 1:50:00Speaker 3: one lyric in it.
- 1:50:01Speaker 2: When it goes, it doesn't matter about the clothes away
- 1:50:05Speaker 2: or where I go and why it doesn't matter about
- 1:50:09Speaker 2: the clothes I wear and where I go and why
- 1:50:12Speaker 2: but you're a pop star. Yeah, it's literally what made
- 1:50:16Speaker 2: you into the thing you are singing about. It does
- 1:50:21Speaker 2: matter what you wear and where you go. Probably fifty
- 1:50:25Speaker 2: maybe even more, because we're not here for the singing. Well,
- 1:50:29Speaker 2: we're here for the looks and the dancing. Yeah, that
- 1:50:33Speaker 2: that lyric made me single handedly a Limp Biscuit fan.
- 1:50:38Speaker 3: I turned a corner.
- 1:50:39Speaker 2: I immediately went to that red New York Yankee hat, another
- 1:50:44Speaker 2: song lyric that that absolutely destroys me.
- 1:50:47Speaker 3: And I love this band, but I don't like this song.
- 1:50:51Speaker 3: Nobody likes you when You're twenty three? Oh that's a
- 1:50:54Speaker 3: blink win any two?
- 1:50:55Speaker 2: All the small things, Yeah, all the small things, And
- 1:51:00Speaker 2: that lyric of nobody likes you when you're twenty three,
- 1:51:04Speaker 2: I would argue, is probably the most incorrect song lyric
- 1:51:09Speaker 2: I've ever heard.
- 1:51:09Speaker 3: You think everybody likes your twenty three? You were you
- 1:51:11Speaker 3: twenty three when you heard it?
- 1:51:12Speaker 2: No, what the argument that I'm making, and maybe this
- 1:51:15Speaker 2: is just me understanding the lyric, but nobody likes you
- 1:51:19Speaker 2: when you're twenty three because you feel that way, because
- 1:51:23Speaker 2: everyone misses being twenty three, exactly what it is. Nobody
- 1:51:27Speaker 2: likes you you're twenty three because they're not twenty three anymore,
- 1:51:31Speaker 2: exactly what it is. So nobody like Grimes about to
- 1:51:34Speaker 2: come in here and can't stand him. So nobody likes
- 1:51:37Speaker 2: twenty six or something. I mean, I can't stand his
- 1:51:39Speaker 2: life Jayden. Yeah, yeah, he's twenty one. Yeah, I hate
- 1:51:42Speaker 2: him him mor now you actually did him worse of
- 1:51:44Speaker 2: a favor.
- 1:51:45Speaker 3: Nobody likes you.
- 1:51:46Speaker 2: When you're twenty three, it's because everyone likes being twenty three.
- 1:51:52Speaker 2: It has nothing to do with you being twenty three, right,
- 1:51:55Speaker 2: So it's a good lyric, But nobody likes you being
- 1:51:58Speaker 2: twenty three. They like you being twenty three. Twenty three
- 1:52:01Speaker 2: is awesome. But I get how I hear it and
- 1:52:04Speaker 2: how I take it, is this whiny, ignorant piece of
- 1:52:08Speaker 2: bitch just crying to the moons of nobody likes me
- 1:52:13Speaker 2: when I'm twenty three because I'm twenty three. You haven't
- 1:52:15Speaker 2: lived a life, not even a full bitch, just a
- 1:52:17Speaker 2: piece of a bit, just a full god stage five.
- 1:52:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:52:22Speaker 2: See, I am over the I understand that I am
- 1:52:25Speaker 2: like over the quota of why that lyric makes me mad,
- 1:52:29Speaker 2: But I know I'm not alone. There are people who
- 1:52:32Speaker 2: are out there that have lyrics that punch way above
- 1:52:35Speaker 2: the hate weight class that it deserves. There's one gem
- 1:52:38Speaker 2: and boy, the last one I've got. I've got some
- 1:52:42Speaker 2: news for you. You're intertwined on this one.
- 1:52:46Speaker 3: You are intertwined on this one. This is based on history.
- 1:52:50Speaker 3: This has to be a compliment.
- 1:52:53Speaker 2: There used to be a grain tower alone on the seat,
- 1:52:56Speaker 2: Oh baby, and you became the light on the dark
- 1:53:00Speaker 2: side of me. Love remained a drug. That's the high
- 1:53:04Speaker 2: and not the pill. Did you know that when it snows,
- 1:53:09Speaker 2: my eyes become large and the light that you shine
- 1:53:12Speaker 2: can't be seen. That last lyric right there, Jim, that's that,
- 1:53:17Speaker 2: the last The pre chorus is the reason why that lyric,
- 1:53:21Speaker 2: which is melodically probably the perfect sounding chorus I have
- 1:53:26Speaker 2: ever my ears have ever heard. And I need you
- 1:53:28Speaker 2: to be careful here. That was my wedding site. Fuck
- 1:53:34Speaker 2: from from the Great Seal, Kiss Kiss Ross.
- 1:53:41Speaker 3: And just to remind people, I'll even do the act
- 1:53:43Speaker 3: out a little bit.
- 1:53:45Speaker 2: There used to be a gray in tower alone on
- 1:53:49Speaker 2: the sea.
- 1:53:51Speaker 3: And you and you became the line on the dark
- 1:53:59Speaker 3: side of me.
- 1:54:01Speaker 2: That's a good part. I like that part. Let's break
- 1:54:05Speaker 2: this down lyrically. And you became the light on the
- 1:54:09Speaker 2: dark side of me. That is romantic. It very romantic.
- 1:54:12Speaker 2: In other words, you made the worst part of him better,
- 1:54:15Speaker 2: but you shone light upon it.
- 1:54:16Speaker 3: All right, but are you ready for this here, Jim.
- 1:54:19Speaker 2: The next lyric is, but did you know that when
- 1:54:23Speaker 2: it snows, my eyes become large and the light that
- 1:54:29Speaker 2: you shine can't be seen?
- 1:54:34Speaker 13: Uh?
- 1:54:35Speaker 2: Oh, what have you thought? We edited that out of
- 1:54:39Speaker 2: our version of that song. We didn't really play that part.
- 1:54:41Speaker 2: I don't even know what that means.
- 1:54:42Speaker 3: That means, so that's what oh think about it? Right?
- 1:54:46Speaker 2: Love remained and you became the light on the dark
- 1:54:48Speaker 2: side of me. You are the light on my darkness?
- 1:54:52Speaker 3: Right, yeah, sure, yeah, I got that. Yeah.
- 1:54:54Speaker 2: But did you know, okay, that when it snows, my
- 1:54:57Speaker 2: eyes become large and the light that you shine can't
- 1:55:03Speaker 2: be seen?
- 1:55:04Speaker 3: Baby?
- 1:55:08Speaker 2: What what does that mean? I think it means that, Like, well,
- 1:55:12Speaker 2: just a minute ago he said it was cool. Well
- 1:55:14Speaker 2: it was until the last part. That last lyric is weird.
- 1:55:18Speaker 2: My eyes become large, so large that your light is dimmed. Done,
- 1:55:24Speaker 2: that's what it's saying. My eyes become large and the
- 1:55:27Speaker 2: light that you shine can't be seen. And then he
- 1:55:31Speaker 2: rips that perfect baby. So a texter says, it's about cocaine.
- 1:55:36Speaker 2: So maybe his eyes getting large because he's now he's high.
- 1:55:39Speaker 2: Oh he's railed and it blocks out her light. See
- 1:55:44Speaker 2: ross and the snow is the coke. Holy ass. My
- 1:55:50Speaker 2: wedding song was a coke dealing tune. Might as well
- 1:55:52Speaker 2: have Eric clapped in cocaine. But I can't stop. I
- 1:55:58Speaker 2: can't stop laughing that. You look way too deep. Look
- 1:56:01Speaker 2: when when you in my did you have a senior
- 1:56:04Speaker 2: saying when you graduated, did they come and say, hey,
- 1:56:06Speaker 2: give us a senior saying? So yeah, on my senior picture,
- 1:56:09Speaker 2: it was like all the clubs you're in if you
- 1:56:10Speaker 2: play any sports, and the little senior saying my senior
- 1:56:13Speaker 2: saying was I don't feel tardy, which is a lyric
- 1:56:16Speaker 2: from a Van Halen song.
- 1:56:18Speaker 3: Yeah I'm teacher.
- 1:56:20Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:56:20Speaker 2: My my senior shirt said we're busting out of this
- 1:56:24Speaker 2: joint and we're being blunt about it.
- 1:56:25Speaker 3: Oh wow. And then it was a diploma rolled up.
- 1:56:29Speaker 4: Oh that's pretty cool.
- 1:56:31Speaker 2: Nothing, nothing that shows you're going to be something like
- 1:56:33Speaker 2: a wee joke as a senior. Yeah, we're ready for adulthood.
- 1:56:37Speaker 2: Yeah you can tell by that, but taxi service. Also,
- 1:56:40Speaker 2: by the way, I was reading them on the break,
- 1:56:42Speaker 2: your lyrics that made you mad are very very funny.
- 1:56:46Speaker 3: Uh ripped up black deuce.
- 1:56:49Speaker 2: That one's probably the most infamous example of lyrics.
- 1:56:54Speaker 3: Springsteen, what's that? I said? Thank you, Bruce Springsteen, he wrote,
- 1:56:58Speaker 3: blinded by the did really I did.
- 1:56:59Speaker 8: Not know that?
- 1:57:00Speaker 2: Yeah, Manford Man is the band that made it famous
- 1:57:03Speaker 2: and wrapped up like a deuce is a is an engine?
- 1:57:05Speaker 5: Right?
- 1:57:06Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:57:06Speaker 2: A deuce coop. Yeah, I believe that's what that means.
- 1:57:08Speaker 2: But everyone everyone just replaced it with douche. Yeah, and
- 1:57:11Speaker 2: that it was out of our control. The Jimmy Hendricks
- 1:57:14Speaker 2: one was kiss this guy. Excuse me while I kissed
- 1:57:17Speaker 2: this guy?
- 1:57:17Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, yeah, that was a big one. The sky.
- 1:57:20Speaker 2: Yeah, but yeah, jim just wanted to remind you that
- 1:57:23Speaker 2: that that wedding course of yours definitely ends with the
- 1:57:26Speaker 2: light that you shine.
- 1:57:27Speaker 6: Can't be seen about cocaine.
- 1:57:31Speaker 3: That's cool, tho. I think my wife are doing something
- 1:57:35Speaker 3: anniversary already magical and then do some line what's up?
- 1:57:40Speaker 3: Maybe that'll be on the menu.
- 1:57:41Speaker 2: Those are its like I'll have the oysters, I'll have
- 1:57:44Speaker 2: the Fla and minds Bliviony, the old oblivion dessert. Please
- 1:57:49Speaker 2: but keep texting all those lyrics that make you run
- 1:57:51Speaker 2: up a wall. I know those were three random ones,
- 1:57:54Speaker 2: but they are out of our control. Song lyrics is
- 1:57:56Speaker 2: something that does not speak to the IQ. It only
- 1:57:59Speaker 2: speaks of the a jorda and only speaks to your soul.
- 1:58:03Speaker 2: And boy, I just music. It's the best. If you
- 1:58:07Speaker 2: are complaining about man, all these new songs sound the same.
- 1:58:09Speaker 2: That's on you do more research. There's an artist waiting
- 1:58:12Speaker 2: for your ears to be captivated by you. Bet and

- 1:58:40Speaker 21: of Day. What that, honestly is, I don't know, but
- 1:58:44Speaker 21: it sounds like a waxing gone wrong.
- 1:58:47Speaker 3: Now you show y'all.
- 1:58:49Speaker 4: But it is expensive.
- 1:58:50Speaker 3: Yeah, it's wild to pay that much just get your
- 1:58:52Speaker 3: hair blown dry.
- 1:58:53Speaker 13: Right, Yeah, man, I love that whiskey segment today was
- 1:58:58Speaker 13: such a great one. All those tales about forward slash
- 1:59:01Speaker 13: and the bottle they're bringing. Why do I feel like
- 1:59:04Speaker 13: you guys are talking directly to my soul. I'm gonna
- 1:59:08Speaker 13: be drinking some ride tonight.

- 1:59:19Speaker 3: I'm Palm. We have a friend that comes in on
- 1:59:22Speaker 3: Friday afternoons. We talk about gaming with him. It's called
- 1:59:24Speaker 3: eat Bit Update. It's game time on Real Radio. Ready for.
- 1:59:32Speaker 1: Your quick hit on gaming news, reviews, and a little
- 1:59:34Speaker 1: chaos as pop Pomp tries gaming update with Jayden's starts now.
- 1:59:46Speaker 3: Since eleven.
- 1:59:47Speaker 2: I was about to say, before we even get anything
- 1:59:49Speaker 2: right off rip, before you even get on the air,
- 1:59:51Speaker 2: somebody said, Brian and Altamont props to Jayden. Sounded great
- 1:59:53Speaker 2: on the news junckey today.
- 1:59:54Speaker 22: Oh thank you, Brian. Yeah, it was a lot of fun.
- 1:59:56Speaker 22: It was the first time I've been on real radio
- 1:59:58Speaker 22: for like a full show. Yeah, it was sick.
- 2:00:00Speaker 3: I love it. It's a good show.
- 2:00:01Speaker 2: Too.
- 2:00:01Speaker 3: They're fun.
- 2:00:02Speaker 5: Man.
- 2:00:02Speaker 3: Yeah, no, it's a fun show. And I'm stuck with sports.
- 2:00:05Speaker 22: Not that I hate that, Like I love talking sports,
- 2:00:07Speaker 22: but it's good to adventure and just talk about anything.
- 2:00:10Speaker 3: Oh I bet man for sure.
- 2:00:11Speaker 2: Jane joins us on Fridays to talk about things happening
- 2:00:14Speaker 2: in the gaming industry, and really it's kind of dead
- 2:00:15Speaker 2: right now. But man, I mean like some of the
- 2:00:20Speaker 2: biggest news in gaming in the last like three or
- 2:00:21Speaker 2: four years, right, Yes.
- 2:00:23Speaker 22: Yeah, this is uh the probably the biggest controversy in
- 2:00:26Speaker 22: gaming history going on.
- 2:00:27Speaker 3: I wonder I for us, do you know what's going on?
- 2:00:29Speaker 3: I do.
- 2:00:30Speaker 2: Let's just say GTA six is a lot like my kid,
- 2:00:33Speaker 2: a couple of leaks. We've got to change this diaper,
- 2:00:37Speaker 2: make sure everything's secure.
- 2:00:38Speaker 3: I gotta tell you, buddy, I did hear the story
- 2:00:40Speaker 3: as well.
- 2:00:40Speaker 2: It seems implausible that a product that would be that
- 2:00:44Speaker 2: valuable could be anywhere near anybody that could leak even
- 2:00:48Speaker 2: one frame of it.
- 2:00:49Speaker 22: Right, and we don't even know who this dude is.
- 2:00:52Speaker 22: He is just playing with rock Star left and right.
- 2:00:54Speaker 22: So let's go back. You remember when rock Star said, Hey,
- 2:00:58Speaker 22: we're not gonna do a physical disc. You know, we're
- 2:01:00Speaker 22: too scared of everything getting leaked and we don't want
- 2:01:03Speaker 22: anything getting out there. Yeah, there are whole games on
- 2:01:05Speaker 22: the internet. How is that digital release looking for you?
- 2:01:09Speaker 3: Now? The whole game is out there.
- 2:01:11Speaker 22: This dude has a build to the whole like a
- 2:01:14Speaker 22: build to GTA six. He is playing the whole thing
- 2:01:17Speaker 22: of GTA six missions free rome, all of it he has, and.
- 2:01:21Speaker 3: He's just putting videos up teasing people of how he's
- 2:01:23Speaker 3: playing it. Nobody else is this guy's kind of a
- 2:01:25Speaker 3: genius prete gangster. It gets even worse in slash it
- 2:01:29Speaker 3: better depending on your moral compass. But he is charging. Yeah, dude,
- 2:01:35Speaker 3: listen to this. Take it away.
- 2:01:38Speaker 22: He has not only does he have paid pools where
- 2:01:41Speaker 22: you can pay him and you can vote on a
- 2:01:43Speaker 22: pool on what you want to see, what he wants,
- 2:01:45Speaker 22: what he's gonna leak. He also made a crypto coin
- 2:01:48Speaker 22: at for this. Oh my god, this dude is making
- 2:01:51Speaker 22: money and people are paying thousand dollars for this crypto coin.
- 2:01:53Speaker 2: How can they not find this guy? You would think
- 2:01:55Speaker 2: that online and stuff something like that, you'd be able
- 2:01:57Speaker 2: to find him immediately.
- 2:01:58Speaker 22: Well, he went to his name Cyberly. By the way,
- 2:02:00Speaker 22: the group is called Cyberleak. He went on to Twitter
- 2:02:03Speaker 22: and he posted a cut scene of one of the
- 2:02:05Speaker 22: games from or from GTA GTA six, a cut scene
- 2:02:09Speaker 22: from GTA six and all it said was I'm using
- 2:02:11Speaker 22: a VPN so they can't find me. Oh wow, So
- 2:02:15Speaker 22: I guess he has everything planned out. But you know,
- 2:02:17Speaker 22: when Rockstar comes and gets this guy, they are just
- 2:02:20Speaker 22: gonna give him.
- 2:02:22Speaker 3: They're gonna give him the death penalty. Yeah.
- 2:02:24Speaker 2: I mean you're talking about a multi billion a multi
- 2:02:26Speaker 2: billion dollar product. I mean you could make the you
- 2:02:28Speaker 2: could make an argument that every league could be tens
- 2:02:31Speaker 2: of thousands, hundreds of thousands of dollars. You have subpoenas
- 2:02:34Speaker 2: announced against Microsoft and Discord over the GTA six league.
- 2:02:38Speaker 3: Really, oh, subpoena trying to get him in there and
- 2:02:40Speaker 3: figure out who it is. Yeah? Yeah. Do you did
- 2:02:43Speaker 3: you see how much Take two stock went down? I
- 2:02:45Speaker 3: did not.
- 2:02:45Speaker 22: They lost almost three billion dollars in market value in
- 2:02:48Speaker 22: the last two days, the last two days, and I
- 2:02:51Speaker 22: that was from yesterday.
- 2:02:52Speaker 3: This could it could easily be more. At this point,
- 2:02:55Speaker 3: what is okay, so help me out. What's Take two
- 2:02:57Speaker 3: that they own? Rock Star tanks? Okay?
- 2:02:59Speaker 22: So yeah, this is the big dog over Rockstar who
- 2:03:03Speaker 22: makes all these gta's right dead redemptions.
- 2:03:05Speaker 3: Wow, yeah, their their value has plummeted.
- 2:03:08Speaker 2: So why would it Okay, So why would it plumb it?
- 2:03:10Speaker 2: Because the leak is being contained, it's just one person
- 2:03:13Speaker 2: doing it. People are just kind of seeing scenes from it.
- 2:03:15Speaker 2: They're not they're not able to play the game, right.
- 2:03:18Speaker 22: He so he has his own website that he's made
- 2:03:21Speaker 22: and with commands or demands that he wants from Rockstar
- 2:03:24Speaker 22: to happen, or he says he's gonna release a PC
- 2:03:27Speaker 22: version before they before rock Star themselves releases.
- 2:03:30Speaker 3: People just download as if it's like, uh, what was
- 2:03:32Speaker 3: the old that where you gonna steal music back.
- 2:03:34Speaker 2: In the day?
- 2:03:35Speaker 3: What was that LimeWire, LimeWire, napster. Yeah, it's gonna be
- 2:03:38Speaker 3: like that kind of scenario.
- 2:03:39Speaker 22: That's exactly what it's gonna be. As long as you
- 2:03:41Speaker 22: can make an emulator that could process this game, he could.
- 2:03:43Speaker 22: He could post it on to any type of website.
- 2:03:46Speaker 22: You can download the link, no problem.
- 2:03:47Speaker 3: Everybody that downloads it would be committing a crime.
- 2:03:49Speaker 22: Oh yeah, absolutely, but what are they gonna do? It's
- 2:03:52Speaker 22: what it's like walking out of work. What are they
- 2:03:54Speaker 22: gonna do final all of you?
- 2:03:55Speaker 3: If everyone commits a crime? Does anybody commit a crime? Exactly?
- 2:03:59Speaker 3: At that point, it's just common courtesy.
- 2:04:01Speaker 2: And what did they and what did they actually get
- 2:04:03Speaker 2: you for the Game's gonna be like one hundred bucks?
- 2:04:05Speaker 9: Right?
- 2:04:05Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 2:04:06Speaker 22: I think I think if you buy the deluxe version
- 2:04:08Speaker 22: is one hundred and twenty.
- 2:04:09Speaker 2: So it's like the most they could get you for it. Yeah,
- 2:04:12Speaker 2: I mean, I mean unless you can, unless you also,
- 2:04:15Speaker 2: you know, kind of pushed it out there.
- 2:04:18Speaker 3: Would you download it for free?
- 2:04:19Speaker 19: No?
- 2:04:19Speaker 22: No, no, this is I would not. No, I guarantee
- 2:04:23Speaker 22: you this is what he's doing.
- 2:04:24Speaker 3: Would you buy it for me if I did it?
- 2:04:25Speaker 5: No?
- 2:04:26Speaker 3: Okay, good? Can you test it first and then maybe
- 2:04:28Speaker 3: I'll get back to you. You got it? You got to
- 2:04:30Speaker 3: like half the price, I'll buy it for you, just
- 2:04:31Speaker 3: to wait that much longer.
- 2:04:32Speaker 22: Yeah, it's still like, let it's eighty nine days away,
- 2:04:36Speaker 22: is it really?
- 2:04:36Speaker 3: Yeah, that's still what's going at a time. Yeah, definitely
- 2:04:38Speaker 3: not counting, definitely not.
- 2:04:40Speaker 22: But it's just so crazy to me how Rockstar can
- 2:04:42Speaker 22: be like, yeah, we're just gonna ditch the whole physical
- 2:04:44Speaker 22: thing all together because we don't want it to get
- 2:04:46Speaker 22: leaked and it's still get leaked.
- 2:04:47Speaker 2: Did someone make a mistake or does this guy just
- 2:04:50Speaker 2: a genius hacker and he's kind of found his way
- 2:04:52Speaker 2: in again. I just can't imagine with a an entity
- 2:04:56Speaker 2: that valuable that you wouldn't put it in the in
- 2:04:59Speaker 2: the locker of all lockers when it comes to protecting
- 2:05:02Speaker 2: that that information. Or is there any benefit to them
- 2:05:05Speaker 2: actually doing this themselves?
- 2:05:07Speaker 22: And that was that was another thing? What if this
- 2:05:10Speaker 22: is all promotion? But I thought, exactly, they don't need it.
- 2:05:14Speaker 22: I mean, I mean the line's from here to Japan
- 2:05:15Speaker 22: to get it? Yeah, that is true, you know? And
- 2:05:18Speaker 22: next is it next week or next Thursday? When the
- 2:05:21Speaker 22: the twenty seventh they do? Trailer releases at three o'clock
- 2:05:25Speaker 22: on Netflix? Yeah, but why even do why even care?
- 2:05:27Speaker 22: At that point I've seen the whole game? Why why
- 2:05:29Speaker 22: even care to go to Netflix? If I can go
- 2:05:31Speaker 22: watch this game play?
- 2:05:32Speaker 3: What are this guy's demands? Does he want a bunch
- 2:05:34Speaker 3: of money or was he what's he want?
- 2:05:36Speaker 22: He's mad that there's no physical disc, He's mad that
- 2:05:38Speaker 22: you have to buy the deluxe edition to get you know,
- 2:05:41Speaker 22: random shops, a couple more missions, stuff, like that. He's
- 2:05:44Speaker 22: mad at the fact that it's a completely online game.
- 2:05:47Speaker 22: You need an online.
- 2:05:48Speaker 3: Connection to even play single player.
- 2:05:50Speaker 22: So he's honestly just like, yo, can you make the
- 2:05:52Speaker 22: game viable for everybody?
- 2:05:54Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's as you were saying that I was
- 2:05:57Speaker 2: just catching up. And that's his big reason. Why is
- 2:06:01Speaker 2: because pre orders without offering a physical edition of GTA six.
- 2:06:04Speaker 2: And look when you broke this about the whole idea
- 2:06:06Speaker 2: of Sony and these guys going to no discs only
- 2:06:10Speaker 2: only streaming or downloading. Man, you said there was an
- 2:06:12Speaker 2: outrage out there for gamers because they want physical copies
- 2:06:15Speaker 2: of But I didn't think it would.
- 2:06:16Speaker 3: Be like that.
- 2:06:16Speaker 22: Oh yeah, I mean, and and GTA six is such
- 2:06:19Speaker 22: a hot topic and you know everyone's trying to get
- 2:06:22Speaker 22: their hands on it. I mean, this dude blew up overnight,
- 2:06:25Speaker 22: no joke. In the last twenty four hours. My Instagram
- 2:06:28Speaker 22: is just cyber leak and all their new leaks they're posting. Wow,
- 2:06:31Speaker 22: like even writing my notes. I was writing my notes
- 2:06:34Speaker 22: up till six fifteen because I've seen so many leaks,
- 2:06:37Speaker 22: new leaks that are just coming out. It's gonna get
- 2:06:40Speaker 22: to the point where he's gonna leak the whole game,
- 2:06:42Speaker 22: and I'm gonna see everything that happens.
- 2:06:44Speaker 2: Somebody just texted and said, if you dig into the story,
- 2:06:45Speaker 2: it's not the actual game it was created. I guess
- 2:06:48Speaker 2: it was created at with AI to look very similar.
- 2:06:54Speaker 22: But yeah, yeah, he's Take two taking legal actions right now.
- 2:06:58Speaker 22: So I don't know how true that one. There was
- 2:07:01Speaker 22: a controversy of whether or not it was real. But
- 2:07:03Speaker 22: then the one big clip that everyone went, Okay, this
- 2:07:07Speaker 22: is legit is when he shot a gun into a wall,
- 2:07:10Speaker 22: spelling the word leak with two e's, so he wrote
- 2:07:13Speaker 22: his name into a wall with bullets. He also got
- 2:07:15Speaker 22: into a car and it was playing Tate McCrae sports Car,
- 2:07:18Speaker 22: which is a song from twenty twenty five.
- 2:07:21Speaker 3: So it is a pretty recent build of the game.
- 2:07:23Speaker 22: It might not be the most recent build, because I'll
- 2:07:26Speaker 22: be honest, it does not look like the most polished
- 2:07:28Speaker 22: thing in the world.
- 2:07:28Speaker 20: Right.
- 2:07:28Speaker 22: It doesn't look like it's completely finished, but it's almost there.
- 2:07:32Speaker 22: And I heard he had an Xbox dev Kit, which
- 2:07:35Speaker 22: is the dev kit is what game developers use to
- 2:07:37Speaker 22: test out games and stuff like that. Don't know how
- 2:07:40Speaker 22: he got his hands on the DevKit, but Apparently that's
- 2:07:42Speaker 22: how he got access to GTA, and now he's just
- 2:07:44Speaker 22: downloading files interesting putting them onto a computer.
- 2:07:47Speaker 2: The hacker has this pull quote, Dude, this guy's might
- 2:07:50Speaker 2: this might be like our V four Vendetta guy. Pre
- 2:07:53Speaker 2: Orders were not this is his words. Allegedly, pre orders
- 2:07:57Speaker 2: were not created for gamers. They were created because physical
- 2:08:00Speaker 2: discs had manufacturing limits. If publishers want revenue before launch,
- 2:08:06Speaker 2: they can press discs, print boxes, put them on shelves,
- 2:08:09Speaker 2: earn that money through physical production.
- 2:08:13Speaker 3: This is a revolt. Yeah, play a video game revolution?
- 2:08:17Speaker 17: Yeah?
- 2:08:17Speaker 2: Really for a digital download? Why you don't need pre orders?
- 2:08:21Speaker 2: That's why I didn't even since it's digital only. I'm
- 2:08:24Speaker 2: very disappointed. Yeah, I'm still going to get the game,
- 2:08:27Speaker 2: but I might only do it on November twenty first.
- 2:08:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I still haven't pre ordered. What's it? There is
- 2:08:32Speaker 3: no point for pre order, Shay.
- 2:08:33Speaker 2: But you look at the business model of it though,
- 2:08:34Speaker 2: it makes perfect sense that they would only want to
- 2:08:37Speaker 2: stream it. They wouldn't want to go through the cost
- 2:08:39Speaker 2: of producing the jewel cases, the printing, the boxes, the
- 2:08:42Speaker 2: CD or disc itself. I mean that you know that
- 2:08:44Speaker 2: costs money. They have, but especially when you're doing it
- 2:08:46Speaker 2: at the rate that you're doing it because this is
- 2:08:47Speaker 2: the most popular game out there. Agreed, But so does leaks.
- 2:08:50Speaker 2: Those also cost money, Like perception still weighs something. But
- 2:08:56Speaker 2: I mean, other than the stock value lost, they really
- 2:08:59Speaker 2: haven't lost any money yet, right, I mean, and we
- 2:09:01Speaker 2: don't know that the stock isn't going to come back.
- 2:09:03Speaker 2: I mean, this is just kind of a temporary hit.
- 2:09:05Speaker 2: This happens in the market all the time.
- 2:09:06Speaker 3: Oh, the stock's definitely going to come back with his
- 2:09:08Speaker 3: game launches. Listen.
- 2:09:10Speaker 2: Maybe that's what this is. Maybe this is a stock play.
- 2:09:14Speaker 2: I mean, if their stock went down like that that much,
- 2:09:16Speaker 2: I mean, now would be the time to buy that?
- 2:09:17Speaker 3: Would it?
- 2:09:17Speaker 2: Not?
- 2:09:18Speaker 3: True? True? I was looking at it.
- 2:09:20Speaker 2: There's another angle, well, I mean, if it's down three
- 2:09:23Speaker 2: billy dude, I mean, I don't know what per share
- 2:09:25Speaker 2: is on that, but I mean if it was fifty
- 2:09:26Speaker 2: bucks and it's now twenty eight dollars, you probably should
- 2:09:28Speaker 2: buy it.
- 2:09:29Speaker 3: It's two hundred and forty yeaheah, two hundred and forty
- 2:09:32Speaker 3: dollars a stock.
- 2:09:33Speaker 22: Yeah, that could buy me two GTA cups. I don't
- 2:09:36Speaker 22: know if I want to spend that money. I'm just
- 2:09:37Speaker 22: saying that is two deluxe editions of GTA. Overall, this
- 2:09:41Speaker 22: thing's wild. There's so much to talk about this leak.
- 2:09:44Speaker 22: There's no way you can fit it into one segment.
- 2:09:46Speaker 22: You guys have to go check it out. Don't don't
- 2:09:48Speaker 22: put it on your streams and new YouTube will nuke
- 2:09:50Speaker 22: you so quick.
- 2:09:50Speaker 3: How many? Yeah?
- 2:09:51Speaker 22: Oh immediately, I bet yeah. I was on the news
- 2:09:54Speaker 22: Junkies today. He Sean put it into subscription and they
- 2:09:57Speaker 22: ghosted the whole YouTube like you could even see they
- 2:09:59Speaker 22: were live on YouTube.
- 2:10:00Speaker 3: Really yeah, yeah, wow, yeah, we got uh we had
- 2:10:03Speaker 3: something happened like that It wasn't any anything like that,
- 2:10:07Speaker 3: nothing like that.
- 2:10:08Speaker 2: But it's just crazy how well they monitor that stuff. Right,
- 2:10:11Speaker 2: You wouldn't think they slip up like that. It was
- 2:10:13Speaker 2: boom done. But yet there's been a lot of streams
- 2:10:15Speaker 2: of some really dark tragedies that have lasted on the
- 2:10:18Speaker 2: internet for out whatever hold me back.
- 2:10:21Speaker 3: Yeah, just just go to X right now, devil tell
- 2:10:23Speaker 3: you she's an ex girl. You go to X right now.
- 2:10:25Speaker 2: I think you can't stroll five minutes without seem like
- 2:10:27Speaker 2: taking them a sheddy to the face.
- 2:10:29Speaker 3: It's pretty much what it is all day long.
- 2:10:31Speaker 22: My dad randomly showed me one of those videos yesterday
- 2:10:33Speaker 22: or two days I was like, dude, what are you doing.
- 2:10:36Speaker 2: You don't even have to be into it. You could
- 2:10:38Speaker 2: just be ripping through videos. Next thing, you know, it's
- 2:10:40Speaker 2: just a dude getting show on the neck, I know,
- 2:10:42Speaker 2: like in a robbery. Then the next video is like
- 2:10:43Speaker 2: a kid playing with a toy. It's crazy.
- 2:10:46Speaker 3: We'll find out if that's good for the human race.
- 2:10:48Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 2:10:48Speaker 3: Right, to be exposed to those images on just on
- 2:10:51Speaker 3: a public forum. I think maybe in the first trimester
- 2:10:53Speaker 3: of that. Right now, I think I turned out fine. Yeah,
- 2:10:56Speaker 3: you're just fine. Yeah, so, haven't got a haircuts.
- 2:10:59Speaker 2: Let me ask you quick qu So we know that
- 2:11:01Speaker 2: their video games made from movies, right, what is the
- 2:11:04Speaker 2: Is Resident Evil the number one of those like horror
- 2:11:07Speaker 2: based thing.
- 2:11:08Speaker 3: Yeah, i'd say so. Yeah, Silent Hill is pretty close.
- 2:11:11Speaker 3: I don't. I think they just made a Silent Hill
- 2:11:12Speaker 3: movie actually yeah. Oh, Silent Hill has been a movie
- 2:11:15Speaker 3: that's been out for a while. Yeah, but I think
- 2:11:16Speaker 3: they've remade a new one recently.
- 2:11:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:11:19Speaker 22: So, but there's not really many the video game movies. Weird,
- 2:11:22Speaker 22: there's not many good movies from video.
- 2:11:24Speaker 2: Game dude, there's one coming out right now. I talked
- 2:11:26Speaker 2: about it at the beginning of the show. There's a
- 2:11:28Speaker 2: Korean horror movie coming out, and if Jack, if you
- 2:11:31Speaker 2: want to find the trailer, I don't know if you
- 2:11:32Speaker 2: put it up because we don't have a many panels
- 2:11:34Speaker 2: we have, but you can also check it out on
- 2:11:35Speaker 2: your computer. The BBC released a list of ten movies
- 2:11:41Speaker 2: coming out in September that you got to see in.
- 2:11:42Speaker 2: One of these movies is a South Korean horror movie
- 2:11:45Speaker 2: called called Hope, and it is a post apocalyptic like
- 2:11:51Speaker 2: alien invasion kind of thing. But the trailer is so
- 2:11:55Speaker 2: completely and utterly bananas and the monster, at least one
- 2:11:59Speaker 2: of them, is completely and utterly bananas. The first thing
- 2:12:03Speaker 2: I saw, or I thought when I saw this movie
- 2:12:05Speaker 2: and the trailer was that's a video game.
- 2:12:08Speaker 3: Like, that's a straight up video game, no question.
- 2:12:11Speaker 2: Riding horses, shooting guns, shooting guns and uh in uh
- 2:12:15Speaker 2: in cities. It look like they've been destroyed by something crazy.
- 2:12:19Speaker 2: It looks the aliens like or whatever. The monster is
- 2:12:22Speaker 2: throwing cars like their baseballs.
- 2:12:24Speaker 22: Yeah, this thing looks insane. And now my one question
- 2:12:27Speaker 22: is is this gonna be an English or am I
- 2:12:28Speaker 22: gonna have to watch it dub.
- 2:12:29Speaker 3: Okay, so you can.
- 2:12:30Speaker 4: You can watch it subtitles like Jimmy's your Dad.
- 2:12:33Speaker 2: You can watch it subtitles, or you can watch it
- 2:12:35Speaker 2: dub But the dub the one I saw dubbed is terrible.
- 2:12:38Speaker 3: I would probably watch the subtitles. That's the problem with
- 2:12:40Speaker 3: the foreign movies. A lot of the time there's like
- 2:12:43Speaker 3: no emotion and those like oh my god, it's coming
- 2:12:45Speaker 3: for us. It's just like that.
- 2:12:46Speaker 2: That's the problem with foreigner's always speaking their own language.
- 2:12:50Speaker 2: But the one that is the the one where it's
- 2:12:53Speaker 2: just the subtitle that the actors, you know, speaking their language,
- 2:12:56Speaker 2: they completely understand how to get the emotion in there, and.
- 2:12:59Speaker 3: It's it's really good.
- 2:13:00Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:13:00Speaker 2: I saw that Jack's at the player. I got Jacks
- 2:13:02Speaker 2: at the trailer right now. Jim corpra Live dot com.
- 2:13:05Speaker 22: Oh yeah, I saw the Godzilla movie. Uh the like
- 2:13:08Speaker 22: a year ago. That was all in the Japanese. That
- 2:13:10Speaker 22: was a really good movie. Really it took I mean
- 2:13:12Speaker 22: it took my reading to my reading skills.
- 2:13:15Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 2:13:15Speaker 2: You look at this movie Hero and it looks bananas
- 2:13:19Speaker 2: crazy good fun. What hope, yeah, hope, what did I
- 2:13:23Speaker 2: say it was hero Oh yeah, hope you didn't.
- 2:13:27Speaker 3: It is crazy. Wait, what do you think.
- 2:13:29Speaker 2: Is the best video game adaptations to television or movie?
- 2:13:34Speaker 2: Is there one that is number one? To me? That
- 2:13:39Speaker 2: I had the second season. I've never seen a show
- 2:13:41Speaker 2: fall apart but that first season of Last of Us. Yeah,
- 2:13:43Speaker 2: I would probably give that the award of Best Animation. Yeah,
- 2:13:48Speaker 2: video game to visual medium. Fallout. I thought the second
- 2:13:53Speaker 2: season was better. Yeah, yeah, no, I would give it
- 2:13:55Speaker 2: the Fallout. And by the way, that show was very good.
- 2:13:57Speaker 2: That had Walton Goggins and yeah, yeah, he's like the
- 2:14:00Speaker 2: Fallout guy. That was way, way better than I thought.
- 2:14:03Speaker 2: We watched the first season and I was like, I
- 2:14:05Speaker 2: look at my wife, how we have how have we
- 2:14:07Speaker 2: seen this? Like it's really good? You think it's gonna
- 2:14:10Speaker 2: be kind of video game or it's not at all.
- 2:14:13Speaker 2: They get away with the hokiness and that's really hard
- 2:14:16Speaker 2: to do. I actually I would have to give the Fallout. Yeah, Fallout.
- 2:14:19Speaker 2: Both seasons are phenomenal. They have a season three coming out.
- 2:14:22Speaker 22: Jimmy, you know what that means, You have to play
- 2:14:23Speaker 22: a Fallout game. I'm gonna make I'm going to force
- 2:14:25Speaker 22: you to play video games again, Jimmy, you have to
- 2:14:27Speaker 22: play a Fallout game.
- 2:14:28Speaker 3: It's ting red Dead. I'll have it.
- 2:14:31Speaker 2: I think Red Dead we have a greater chance of
- 2:14:33Speaker 2: a hit rate with that because he's going to enjoy
- 2:14:36Speaker 2: its slower pace. He can ride a horse, saying he
- 2:14:38Speaker 2: gets to shoot guns.
- 2:14:41Speaker 3: Yeah, what are you doing? Well, you're old, You're older
- 2:14:44Speaker 3: than me, dude dead and he doesn't have gray hair?
- 2:14:49Speaker 2: Could they have no hair, bitch matter? Could they make
- 2:14:54Speaker 2: a movie out of Red Dead?
- 2:14:56Speaker 3: Abe?
- 2:14:58Speaker 2: But you say the characters don't have a a central focus, right,
- 2:15:01Speaker 2: they just gotta wander through this world to be don't
- 2:15:03Speaker 2: you have to have a story?
- 2:15:04Speaker 3: They do.
- 2:15:06Speaker 2: There is a story. It just allows you and it
- 2:15:10Speaker 2: allows you.
- 2:15:10Speaker 3: To branch off.
- 2:15:11Speaker 2: Okay, yeah yeah, It's like for me, it's like I
- 2:15:15Speaker 2: was doing a lot of side stuff and finally one
- 2:15:17Speaker 2: of the guys that camp, he came and found me,
- 2:15:19Speaker 2: is like, hey, we missed you back at camp. I'm like,
- 2:15:22Speaker 2: all right, I'll digitally walk back. Come and then we
- 2:15:25Speaker 2: uh we robbed a bank.
- 2:15:27Speaker 22: Great, yeah, I got I went to prison and Red Dead.
- 2:15:30Speaker 22: Yeah yeah, I got busted out by Dutch.
- 2:15:32Speaker 3: Did your Dutch?
- 2:15:36Speaker 2: You made a friend on the Trader you never went
- 2:15:37Speaker 2: to prision in the game, always a good guy.
- 2:15:39Speaker 23: What do you to go to prison? You're still a horse? Yeah,
- 2:15:41Speaker 23: what did you do? A lot of a lot of murder.
- 2:15:45Speaker 23: Wasn't as bad as wrestling back in the day. Well, yeah,
- 2:15:47Speaker 23: you can be the bad guy. Like you have to
- 2:15:50Speaker 23: choose your morality in the game, and it moves.
- 2:15:53Speaker 3: From right to left.
- 2:15:54Speaker 2: Hold up now, Yeah, when you start the game, you
- 2:15:57Speaker 2: choose your morality, you get better. You can go in
- 2:16:00Speaker 2: as a scumbat. It's based on your actions the game. Oh,
- 2:16:04Speaker 2: I see, that's.
- 2:16:05Speaker 3: Better and cooler. I don't know why you went on.
- 2:16:08Speaker 2: You don't get to choose good or bad once you
- 2:16:11Speaker 2: get to choose good in bad throughout your entire experience playing.
- 2:16:15Speaker 3: Decision you make? Where's yours? What do you uh? I'm
- 2:16:18Speaker 3: to the right of sender, so I'm good. You're a
- 2:16:20Speaker 3: good guy. Yeah, pull that audio. Yeah, the first time
- 2:16:25Speaker 3: that'll ever be said.
- 2:16:26Speaker 5: Time.
- 2:16:27Speaker 3: I've never heard say that I'm a horrible human being
- 2:16:30Speaker 3: for sure, jel. Yeah, is the way you do it,
- 2:16:32Speaker 3: you do it to you. There's just gonna be a
- 2:16:34Speaker 3: complete ass.
- 2:16:35Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:16:35Speaker 3: Absolutely. You have a bad day at work and.
- 2:16:38Speaker 2: Sometimes you have to do things that because there's always
- 2:16:41Speaker 2: a witness.
- 2:16:41Speaker 3: There's always a witness, and sometimes you have to do
- 2:16:45Speaker 3: things some old lady churning butter. But you get it.
- 2:16:47Speaker 2: You get a bounty on you, and I always go,
- 2:16:49Speaker 2: I pay my bounty right away.
- 2:16:50Speaker 3: I assume you do.
- 2:16:51Speaker 6: Not.
- 2:16:52Speaker 3: No, it's a lot of fun.
- 2:16:53Speaker 22: You get like a three thousand dollars bounty, and then
- 2:16:54Speaker 22: you got all these bounty hunters chasing you. I hit
- 2:16:56Speaker 22: out in a house one time and just started to shootout.
- 2:16:59Speaker 3: Are the bounty heather hunters other players or is it
- 2:17:01Speaker 3: just the game? The game you can play online. That's wild.
- 2:17:06Speaker 2: So that's why you need to play the game first.
- 2:17:08Speaker 2: Then we play online to personality, I don't want to
- 2:17:11Speaker 2: get into my room and start playing Red Dead for
- 2:17:13Speaker 2: like six or seven hours at a time. My wife
- 2:17:15Speaker 2: will divorce all of you first, and then me. You
- 2:17:17Speaker 2: would grow your hair back. Oh stop, that would understand.
- 2:17:20Speaker 2: She would not understand. Yeah, yeah, I'm taking it. I'm
- 2:17:25Speaker 2: growing my beard.
