- 0:35[SPEAKER_02]: The Brown's first eight picks in the upcoming NFL draft.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_02]: Now, the Brown's do currently have 11 selections in this draft.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_02]: I said it before, I'll say it again.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_02]: I do not anticipate the Brown's utilizing all 11 of those picks because that's just way too many rookies to add to and already very young roster for the Cleveland Brown.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_02]: So I expect them to use several picks.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_02]: that they have in the draft, either trade for some guys here beforehand, or to move around the draft board once that weekend in April does arrive.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_02]: But today, we are going to do the first eight picks rounds one through five four of the Cleveland Browns before we dive into everything with the mock draft got some updates, got a couple of voicemails to get to.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll dive into those things first.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_02]: before I do go to the dogspockass.com to get your voice mails on the show to get your thoughts opinions there.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_02]: You can send a message.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_02]: I know some people have been having trouble, I think.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_02]: I've heard from some guys out there that the message box isn't working, but I have gotten messages from other people and I do have one to read today.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_02]: So let me know if you're still experiencing issues, typing a message rather than sending a voice mail.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_02]: just let me know mark at the dogspodcast.com is probably the easiest way for everybody if you're not in the discord to reach me.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_02]: If you are in the discord, thank you if you want to be in the discord, join the dogs.com, make sure you guys head over there, support the show, we appreciate it, and it's just a great place to be die hard browns fans community.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_02]: and awesome conversations going on, keeping everybody up to date if you got questions about this head coaching search and the Rooney rule and all that kind of crap that I got to talk about here today.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_02]: We're in there discussing it 24, 7 so that's join the dogs dot com, speak into the Rooney rule.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_02]: I do need to correct an incorrect statement that I made on the previous show.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_02]: I assumed okay and you know what they say about assuming makes an ass out of you and me.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I don't know about you, but it made an ass out of me.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so I assumed incorrectly, of course, that if the Browns wanted to hire Nate Sheelhouse, the past game coordinator for the Rams, they could do so.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_02]: They could just interview him Monday.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_02]: And if they want to hire him, they could hire him at him as the head coach and they do not need to fulfill the Rooney role, which states you must conduct at least two in-person interviews with minority head coaching candidates before you can hire someone.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_02]: And here I am, dip shit, Josh, just thinking, well, gee, if they want to hire a minority, they can just go ahead and do so.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_02]: Nope, nope, dead wrong.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_02]: I was very mistaken on that assumption.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_02]: Turns out that the rule that is intended and designed to help minority coaches get hired can also
- 3:24[SPEAKER_02]: prevent or hinder a minority head coach from getting hired so what a brilliant rule whoever came up with this idea you guys knocked it out of the park freaking morons this thing is stupid it's twenty twenty six we don't need it we don't need the runny rule this is insane but anyway so I was wrong the browns cannot hire nature house even though he's a minority coach if he's the guy they want they still can't hire him
- 3:50[SPEAKER_02]: Because they have to make another fake phony interview with another minority coach just to satisfy a rule so that they can hire minority coaches and say, I don't, I don't get it.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_02]: I don't get it.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_02]: I am sorry that I was wrong on my assumption out there.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sorry I reported that as a fact incorrectly that is on me.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_02]: that you would not be allowed to hire a minority coach if you didn't interview at least two of them.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_02]: Crazy.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely crazy.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_02]: But anyway, that's that's the rule.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_02]: That's the where it stands.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_02]: So even if the Browns want to hire nature's house, they still have to schedule an interview for the head coaching position with another minority head coach.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_02]: And like I've said earlier this week, I will say again,
- 4:48[SPEAKER_02]: those posts on social media are going to get ridiculed like crazy.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just calling it like it is.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_02]: As soon as the Browns post, we have scheduled an interview with such and such the, you know, this coordinator or that coach from this organization, people are going to be like, G. I wonder why?
- 5:05[SPEAKER_02]: It's a joke.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_02]: We got Mary Cave reporting that the Browns have zeroed in on their final five, you know, finalists for the head coaching job.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_02]: They still haven't fulfilled the
- 5:17[SPEAKER_02]: It blows my mind, it blows my mind that they're not, they were not out in front of this and that they weren't ready, I mean, unless I got a, I got a throw caveat out there unless they've got an interview already done with somebody in person, that we don't know about, which I think is weird because every team is reporting every interview that they conduct, the Browns have a head coach track interview tracker page on their website to let people know who they've interviewed and information about them.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_02]: So if they've interviewed, you know, one or more other minority candidates for the head coach and not told anybody about it, that is also weird and sketchy feeling and I don't know just.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_02]: I can't stop feeling like the Browns are botching that portion of this interview process.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, it sounds like Corny and Jordan Schultz at the two guys they've really honed in on.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_02]: Our grant you didn't ski the O.C.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_02]: from Jacksonville, Nate Sheelhouse, the past game coordinator from the Rams, who they can't interview until at least Monday, next week.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_02]: You know the other three guys would then of course be gym shorts I don't think we need to go that route Todd Munkin why why why why and the third being Jesse Minter who the Browns are Interviewing today, which it's Thursday.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_02]: I know you guys are watching this on a Friday or later But I have stuff going on Friday.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_02]: I want to have this mock draft episode for you guys on Friday
- 6:45[SPEAKER_02]: So I recorded a day early, so if I'm behind or missing any updates on this head coaching search, that is the reason why so I just wanted to go through that real quick.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_02]: Why I was wrong about the Browns being able to just hire neat sheelhouse if they wanted to and my incorrect assumptions on the runny rule, which again is intended to help black coaches get hired and at the same time looks to also be preventing a black coach from being hired, which is just.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_02]: Whatever, insane, insane.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so let me hit this first voice mail here this one is from Stacey.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_01]: Hey guys, I just wanted to draw a quick voicemail and ask a question.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_01]: So if the Browns truly have zeroed in on Nate Sheelhouse with him being a pass game coordinator in his past, do we think that that's going to play a part in his decisions as far as it goes with the drafts?
- 7:39[SPEAKER_01]: Do we think that means that he's going to really hone in on getting some good receivers for that pass game?
- 7:46[SPEAKER_01]: And if that is true, are we excited about that?
- 7:48[SPEAKER_01]: Are we not excited about that?
- 7:51[SPEAKER_01]: Um, does that plan to our opinion of wanting she'll have more, just thought I'd throw out a couple of questions to get some conversations started.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_02]: Alright, Stacey, thank you for the voicemail.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_02]: As you guys know, my top two candidates for the head coaching surgeon Cleveland is Grant you didn't ski.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_02]: And Nate, she'll house.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_02]: I would be okay with either one to be honest with you guys.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_02]: I obviously have you didn't ski is my number one.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_02]: That's my preference.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_02]: I have no...
- 8:18[SPEAKER_02]: You know, reservations about Nate Shio House if they come out and announce that's the higher.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_02]: I would be totally cool with it.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_02]: The Rams passing game number one in the NFL this year.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_02]: Nate Shio House has been lauded, like just completely praised by Sean McVay in that organization for what he's been able to do from my research into him.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_02]: When he was coaching at Iowa State, he climbed so quickly through the ranks at Iowa State.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_02]: He was underneath Matt Campbell, the head coach who just took the job at Penn State.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_02]: But he was the head coach there and he was getting interviews and consideration from the NFL for head coaching and opening his New Year's Pass and all that kind of stuff.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_02]: So they knew Matt Campbell was not going to be there forever.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_02]: Nate Sheelhouse was Iowa State's succession plan at one point.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_02]: They wanted him to be the next head coach of their program.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_02]: This is out there.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_02]: You can go look it up.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_02]: I found this in from it.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_02]: They wanted Nate Sheelhouse to be the next head coach of Iowa State.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_02]: That was the plan.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_02]: Then the Rams came and grabbed him and brought him into the NFL into their organization.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_02]: And now Iowa State lost him and they were devastated from what I read.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_02]: Like they did not want to lose Nate Sheelhouse and he's had a huge impact.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_02]: on the passing game for the Rams and yes, the Rams have great personnel in that department.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, when you got Matthew Stafford, and you got Puka Nakua and Devante Adams, your passing game is probably not going to look too bad.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_02]: That being said, two Stacy's points.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, if they were to hire a neat showhouse, I expect the same of Grant Yudinsky, but if they were to hire a neat
- 9:54[SPEAKER_02]: their head better be an emphasis on getting past catchers and playmakers into this offense.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_02]: And I like that his focus is on the passing game because or I not even just as focused I guess his specialty.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_02]: His proven track record of success.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_02]: as a coach has been with the passing game.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_02]: So it's not just as focused, like it's his, that's his deal.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_02]: And then you could get an offensive coordinator, running backs, coach, offensive line coach, offensive assistants, whatever you need to do to fill out your staff who can help you develop and really coordinate the run game.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_02]: And we have the pieces with Quenchon Judkins, Dylan Samson, hopefully we go and we sign somebody in free agency or we draft another guy a little bit later in the draft this year.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_02]: Whatever to round out the running back room and let other people who specialties the run game focus on that.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see, I got the mock draft coming up here, Stacey.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_02]: We will see how I address the wide receiver position because you know I'm going to.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_02]: All right, let's get this one, Gabriel, our book and near span calling into the dog's podcast calls and gives us a little more clarification as to why he is doing so.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_00]: Hello again, Dog's podcast.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: I thought I would just share a little bit about my backstory and just how I ended up finding this podcast and just mean general as a football fan.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_00]: So first off, how did I find your podcast?
- 11:24[SPEAKER_00]: Well, from 2016 to 2023, I was a diehard Miami Dolphins fan.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_00]: And my very first time I listened to your podcast was back in 2022 when the Dolphins beat the Browns when you had Jacobi were feeling for Watson.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_00]: That was my first time I listened to your show, and I think you guys still had Zackas when your co-hosts.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: My love for the dolphins came from my mom.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_00]: She, when I was little, bought me a little dolphins jersey, and I became a fan up until her passing on Christmas Eve, 2023.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_00]: After that, my love for the Dolphins faded away and passed with her, and as an Oklahoma Sooner's football fan, I loved Baker Mayfield at OU, and when he signed with Tampa Bay, that was my excuse to go down and join the Buccaneers fan base.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_00]: And now I'll be going into my third year as a Buccaneers fan.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_00]: And I just also want to say I'm my buck in your fan in Missouri when my girlfriend and her family and all my family are chief fans.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm very much on enemy territory, but anyways, I just wanted to share how I ended up here and how I love your podcast.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_00]: And I tune in every single time you post.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_00]: So go dogs podcast and go browns.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_02]: All right, Gabriel, thank you so much for the voice.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_02]: My first of all, sorry about the loss of your mother, man.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_02]: That's, that's got to be tough and I just, I hate to hear that, but it's also very, I love hearing about how people come to find this podcast and why the heck do you listen every day that it comes out and all that kind of stuff is really cool to hear those stories.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_02]: And I wanted to look up real quick because you mentioned the game in 2022 between the Browns and the Dolphins and, oh man, I didn't remember the specifics of that game.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_02]: But the Dolphins completely were rolled the Browns in Miami 39 to 17.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_02]: Jacobie Percent had two hundred and twelve yards of touchdown.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_02]: Nick Chubble 11 carries for 63 yards and a touchdown.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_02]: Donovan Peoples Jones was the dude that game for the Browns.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_02]: he outperformed a Mari Cooper.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_02]: He had five catches for 99 yards, but the dolphins just completely tore up.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_02]: Jeff Wilson looked like 17 for 1119 and won to have a good game 285 and 3 back when he was okay
- 13:46[SPEAKER_02]: Interesting.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_02]: Interesting stuff.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for the callback Gabriel.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_02]: And you mentioned Zack in that one man.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_02]: It's been a long time.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_02]: Zack actually just won.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_02]: We've got like an OG dynasty league that we do and Zack is still in that with us and he wanted this year.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_02]: It's a two-quarter back league.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_02]: It's a super flex league and he won it with Matthew Stafford and nobody else.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_02]: Except he picked up Malik Willis at the very end and that was just enough on championship weekend against the Ravens.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_02]: To get the job done for him.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_02]: So thank you Gabriel.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_02]: That was a really cool voice.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_02]: Now I got one more here to play.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_02]: Oh real quick Gabriel.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_02]: Go join the dog pack brother.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_02]: We're in there.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_02]: We're waiting for you.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_02]: We're ready to welcome you with Open Arms.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_02]: Come hang out.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_02]: Again.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_02]: Get in there, hang out, it's not for you, it's not for you, it's okay, no big deal.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_02]: No harm, no foul, you still avoid smells, we'll still talk to you.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_02]: But just come check it out, it's a cool place to be.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_02]: All right, last voicemail, then we dive into the mock draft, this one's from DJ.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_03]: What's up, guys?
- 14:42[SPEAKER_03]: It's DJ from Jersey.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_03]: Listen, I've been wanting to send in a voicemail for a while now.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_03]: I know everyone is not everyone, but a lot of people are against Andrew Barry.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_03]: He has the chance to make the play of the decade, though, if you think about it.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_03]: Last time we had two first round picks, granted they were a lot better, but higher, but we got Baker and Denzel.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_03]: If he can pull off something in the first round here and take two first round like day one starters that are explosive out the gate, on offense, there's nothing we can say.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_03]: You look at the Sean thing was tough, I know, and I'll talk about that another day, but I think
- 15:27[SPEAKER_02]: All right, DJ, thank you.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_02]: Speaking of the dog pack, DJ is one of our newest members.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_02]: He just joined this previous week, earlier this week, and he's in there hanging out with us and leaving us voice mail.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_02]: And this is great.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_02]: I love getting to know all of you followers of the show and Browns fans out there, Buck and your fans.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_02]: I don't really care who you're rooting for.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_02]: Just come hang out and be cool.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_02]: DJ, to talk about that, AB does have the opportunity to do something really special with this draft.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_02]: And we're going to dive into the mock here in just a few seconds.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_02]: And we'll see what my 2.0 looks like.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_02]: But once we get into April and all that kind of stuff, in my opinion, he has to get a difference making playmaker at the WiderSever position.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_02]: And in my opinion, there are three of them.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_02]: We'll talk about that here once the mock starts.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_02]: But you gotta do that.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_02]: And there are a lot of good players.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_02]: You know, an overabundance of top level superstar potential type of players.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_02]: The obvious, oh, this guy's going to be a superstar type of dude, but it doesn't mean there aren't guys in this draft who can be stars in the NFL.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_02]: And that's what these mock draft exercises are all about.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_02]: So DJ, thank you for the voice mail and kind of kicking us into.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_02]: to mock draft 2.0.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_02]: So I just remembered.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_02]: So don't you guys love that I don't even edit this stuff out.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_02]: I just kind of roll with it.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_02]: Message from the website.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sorry, guys.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_02]: Before I dive into my mock, I told you on the last episode to send me your mock drafts.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_02]: If you want me to look at them and all that kind of stuff.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_02]: Why got one from Cory from the from the website sent this in and I thought you know what screw I'm going to read this and go through this real fast or just real quick I'm going to touch on his picks and then we'll dive into my mock but he says hey guys Cory here from the Great North Woods of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan Browns fans since I was six thanks to my grandfather who loves Jim Browns of the Cleveland love continued from him and
- 17:28[SPEAKER_02]: To me, I love it because that's how I'm Brown's fam in just pass down.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_02]: Pass down.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_02]: Well, plus we love a Northeastern Ohio, but you know that is so I did a mock for the first three rounds using PFSN Pro football sports network.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_02]: Mark Simulator figure you might want to look at it.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_02]: So he says no idea on head coach.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_02]: Of course, we don't either.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_02]: I'm leaning to our grant.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_02]: You didn't ski after hearing the podcast this week.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_02]: Glad I could influence you.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_02]: He says I looked over.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_02]: I looked him over and I agree he'd make a solid head coach for us.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_02]: I think he would too.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_02]: Free agent-wise, if Romeo Dobbs hits I say grab him, he did well in Green Bay when they needed him to unlikely that pickens hits free agency, but you can never tell taking you running him if he does can't hurt.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_02]: He's talented.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know how his
- 18:16[SPEAKER_02]: attitude and mentality would work in Cleveland.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't know.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_02]: And then Corey says, definitely need a center.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_02]: I feel from free agency.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_02]: If the bills hit, I tried grabbing him, all the bill center.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_02]: Who's that make oven?
- 18:30[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's off top of head.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not sure.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_02]: He says, I think the colds might as well can't remember off the top of my head.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_02]: So he's draft picks.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_02]: Looks like Corey traded.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_02]: I don't really see in here what he traded and got, but he traded back from 6 to 11 and got Carnell Tate, the wider receiver from Ohio State.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_02]: I'm telling you right now, Corey, not going to happen.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_02]: You will not get Carnell Tate at 11.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if he's available at 6 when the Browns pick.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_02]: I think Carnotate will be a top five pick.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_02]: As it stands right now, late January, obviously we got the rest of the drafts season to go up until April, I think Carnotate's gone in the first five picks.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even think we have a shot at getting him unless we want to trade up.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, so moving on, Cory is next pick.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously you 24 from the jigs, you take Drew Shelton, the offensive tackle from Penn State.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_02]: Don't know what's on about Shelton, but I'll start looking up more into him.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_02]: 39.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_02]: This is where I know your mock draft was drunk.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_02]: Just absolutely blackout drunk.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_02]: 39 he gets my Ky lemon.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_02]: The widers see for from USC.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_02]: No, never.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_02]: He won't make it past 15 if he does.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_02]: Then 41 Chase Basantis, offensive guard from Texas A&M.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_02]: 70 Blake Miller offensive tackle from Clemson and number or at pick 90 Oscar delpe the tight end from Georgia.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_02]: All right, Corey.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for sending in the mock draft.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_02]: I understand that you're just picking the guys that are available based on their rankings and the way the draft were falls.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm telling you right now, the way you got those receivers, man, I would be all crazy excited out of my mind bouncing off the wall if we got Cardinal Tate and McCuy lemon.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_02]: not going to happen, especially not at 11 and 39.

- 21:44[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, welcome back everybody like I said let's do these eight picks today last time I just did the Browns First what was it five picks?
- 21:52[SPEAKER_02]: I think basically the top one hundred guys today We're gonna do eight the Browns like I said have 11 picks currently in the NFL draft There's no point going on beyond the fifth round this early in the process because like I said I think they're gonna move a lot of those picks around anyway So let's just mock draft the Browns first eight picks and rounds one through five
- 22:13[SPEAKER_02]: kicking it off.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_02]: Pick six.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_02]: And in this, what I just touched on with Cory, I've got Carnell Tate going in the top five.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_02]: I know in a lot of simulations he'll go three to the Cardinals.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_02]: Carnell Tate can go four to the Titans.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_02]: I believe that's the order, three, four, and then five is the Giants, and they got a lot of times him going there.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think Carnell
- 22:40[SPEAKER_02]: That's where I stand right now.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_02]: So it picks six.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to take my wide receiver to in this class a guy that I Could easily see Being the wide receiver one in this class right there with car and I'll take and we're gonna get him at six.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_02]: I don't care if a lot of
- 22:58[SPEAKER_02]: platforms have him projected a little bit later in the first round mid first round whatever that's not the way it's going to be when the draft rolls around.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_02]: I just believe this guy is going to go a lot higher than what some people right now the analysts and all that the experts are projecting and we are taking freaking Mackay lemon at number six wide receiver out of USC.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_02]: Mackay lemon is 511, 195 pounds.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_02]: He's 21 years old.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_02]: So he's not your big 6, 3, 215 pound receiver that everybody wants to go get.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_02]: No, you know what my Kylemon is?
- 23:32[SPEAKER_02]: And this is what we talked about last year in the draft process.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_02]: These are, this is what I want the Browns to pick.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_02]: And this is what McIlemon is.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_02]: He is a damn good football player.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_02]: That's what I want.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_02]: 2025 McIlemon played in all 12 games, 79 receptions, 1,156 yards, scored 11 receiving touchdowns, but he also added two rushing touchdowns, and he threw a passing touchdown.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_02]: The kid can freaking do it all.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_02]: Here's a quick write up and again, I'm not gonna spend as much time on these guys as I did last mock draft because we got eight versus five and I did a bunch of voice mails and you get the picture.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_02]: But McCuy Lemon managed to force his way into the wider receiver one discussion alongside Carnell Tate and Jordan Tyson with an incredible 2025 campaign.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_02]: He entered his junior year USC as the Trojans leading receiver after a standout first season as a starter, where he posted 52 catches for 764 yards and 3 touchdowns in 2024.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_02]: Now, he followed that up with 79 catches, 1,156 yards 11 touchdowns in 2025, as well as a top five national PFS and wide receiver impact grade of 85.1 at 501, 1095 pounds lemon is an excellent route runner with electric play speed, sharp footwork and impressive body control that allow him to create consistent separation.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_02]: Boy with that be great on the Cleveland Browns.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_02]: He tempos his routes with nuance and shows the awareness to find soft spots and went on releases and breaks and he's an incredibly dynamic, rack threat with quickness and contact balance.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_02]: But uncharacteristically, for his size, his chief specialization is arguably.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_02]: as a 50-50 presence.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_02]: He's an elite body control and timing technician in 50-50 situations.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_02]: He has vice-grip hand strength.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_02]: Lemon's uncertain projection against press coverage is the only thing holding him back in the widest ever one race.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_02]: He aces the command.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_02]: He aces the combined film and analog evaluation.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_02]: And is the next hybrid power slot to take the league by storm after Jackson Smith and Jigba.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_02]: I want my Kylaman in Cleveland.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_02]: I want him.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_02]: I've been watching a lot of tape on him.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_02]: I've been reading a lot on him, looking at data and analytics and things.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_02]: My Kylaman can play football.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_02]: My Kylaman is a football player.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_02]: I want him.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_02]: You know, we get really infatuated and enamored with these big body like X alpha outside receivers, get down the field, body guys and all that kind of stuff.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_02]: What kind of let me can do that?
- 26:16[SPEAKER_02]: He's smaller, but he can do that, but he's very, very similar.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_02]: To me, I look at him the way I look at, and this isn't like one for one, but he gives me shades of almond raw same brown, and like they said here, Jackson Smith and Jigba.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_02]: These guys are receivers that came into the league and one of the big hangups that a lot of analysts had on them were all, they're just a slot receiver, they're strictly a slot guy.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_02]: Jackson Smith and Jigba is a dominant slot guy, but he can play outside.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_02]: I'm enrossing Brown as a dominant slot player, but he can bounce outside.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_02]: They can win wherever you put them on the field.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_02]: I love that versatility and the thing is, if you are a dominant, I'm not talking like good or you can operate in the slide.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_02]: If you're a dominant slot player, you can lead the NFL on receiving like Jackson Smith and Jigba did this year.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_02]: You can, you can be one of the top receivers in the league, like all men are all same brown.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_02]: Why?
- 27:11[SPEAKER_02]: Because the intermediate area of the field is where games are one and lost, especially in the passing game is what I'm talking about.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_02]: That's where it happens in the intermediate part of the field.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_02]: It's not deep, it's not at the line of scrimmage.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_02]: intermediate because so much of the league it's like on average what 70, 6 to 85% of defenses are playing zone that much of the time.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_02]: This is a zone defensively right now.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_02]: I need somebody I don't care about man because man does the pressman coverage thing for him.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_02]: Don't care.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_02]: Don't care because it's not that big of a deal.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_02]: They don't do it that much.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_02]: I need somebody who can freaking kick ass.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, now I got to kind of look over my short ago and know my kids are out here.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_02]: We have snow day to day.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_02]: It's 40 degrees.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_02]: How is there a snow?
- 27:55[SPEAKER_02]: I don't get me started.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_02]: I need somebody to kick ass in the intermediate area of the field.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_02]: I'm a Kylaman is my dude.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_02]: So there we go.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_02]: Pixics.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_02]: The Browns come off the board with their new wide receiver.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_02]: One.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_02]: My Kylaman out of USC.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_02]: Rolling on in the first round, pick 24.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_02]: The Brown Sea guy on the board and they say we're taking another young stalwart of this offensive line.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_02]: It is offensive tackle Caleb Lomu out of Utah.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_02]: Six foot five, three hundred and two pounds.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_02]: He's 23 years old, so he's a little bit over that age threshold for Andrew Barry, but in this draft,
- 28:32[SPEAKER_02]: you got to take the football players.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_02]: You can't let age guardrails hold you back.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_02]: Get dues that can come in and contribute immediately because you don't have time to dick around.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_02]: You need guys who can come in and operate and play right away.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_02]: Caleb Lomu is that.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_02]: Caleb Lomu is one of the two Utah tackles in contenture for the top offensive tackle spot in the 2026 draft.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_02]: at a long and lean 6-foot 5302 pounds low-mo underpins his game with an incredible blend of explosion and flexibility, which that amounts to awe-inspiring recovery athleticism.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_02]: In the run game, while he's not as powerful as his teammate, and they're talking about Spencer Farnou.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_02]: Lomu can pull off high difficulty reach blocks and fulfill his assignments beautifully.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_02]: And in 2025, he improved his point of attack power and displacement on down and base blocks.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_02]: Meanwhile, in past protection, Lomu is a malleable lower body technician and a methodical precise hand fighter whose hyper-lead flexibility serves as an iron-clad fail-safe to swivel his anchor, absorb power, acquire leverage and play with control lean.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_02]: A safe prospect.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_02]: who stamped and passed protection and trending up in the run game, Lomu is worthy of his assigned round one status and has impact starter potential.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_02]: Get me this guy, like I said Spencer Fano is the other Utah attacker of these two guys, so you got Fano and you got Lomu.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_02]: And the two tackles out of Utah.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_02]: Lowmoo, who we take here is the one who played left tackle.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, Fano was the, I think he played left tackle earlier in his college career and then they moved into a right tackle.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_02]: Lowmoo became the, you know, plug and play, starting, full time starting left tackle.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_02]: So with this pick, the Browns are actually getting a left tackle.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_02]: Who played left tackle?
- 30:25[SPEAKER_02]: and hope to God he can move over to the other side of the line and play left tackle.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_02]: We tried that with Jed Wills.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_02]: We tried it with DeWan Jones.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_02]: I know there's people out there who think that's a really easy switch and I can understand the thinking behind that.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_02]: but I've never believed that and we had Joe Thomas on this podcast not too long ago before the season started and we asked him about that when we were talking about the one Jones about the switch you can you can you just switch is it just like mirroring your you know your steps and your technique and all that stuff moving from right to left and Joe Thomas said no it's not that simple so I will take
- 31:06[SPEAKER_02]: the first ballot Hall of Famers opinion on playing left tackle versus social media people.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry social media people, just the way it is.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_02]: So get me Caleb Lomu here and actual left tackle playing left tackle for the Cleveland Browns.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_02]: And maybe let's think about this.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe if DeWan Jones is good to go if he's healthy for the start of the season, we can actually let him play right tackle where he belongs and where he's most comfortable and where he has had very good success at the NFL level.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_02]: Tackle situation solved, right?
- 31:42[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not trying to say it's just that easy, but at the same time it doesn't have to be rocket science.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_02]: Football isn't rocket science, okay?
- 31:48[SPEAKER_02]: Get a left tackle, play his left tackle, and let him play frickin' left tackle.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_02]: You got a right tackle who's really good at right tackle, let him play frickin' right tackle.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_02]: Done, solved.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, moving on in the draft.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_02]: Round two, pick 39, the Cleveland Browns are back.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_02]: at the wide-out position, and we are going to take one of my favorite wide-out outside of the top three guys, and it is wide receiver.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_02]: Elijah so wrought out of Indiana.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_02]: If you guys watched the National Championship, you watched the playoff run for Indiana.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_02]: They've got two stud receivers, and I am 100% on board with the Browns taking either one of them.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_02]: Elijah Sarat, the bigger body outside receivers a little bit slower, but he is contested catch, just strong hands, body you, he was physical, he's a dude.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_02]: Or you could take Omar Cooper Jr who's a little bit smaller, but he's faster, he's shift here, you can bounce him in and out, all that kind of stuff, there's a little more versatility.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_02]: I like both of these guys.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_02]: Since I took
- 32:45[SPEAKER_02]: McIleman at six, and I know he's going to be a dominant slot player that I can use outside if I want to.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_02]: I can move him around the formation, but I know where he's primarily going to operate.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_02]: Now I want my big body outside receiver, Elijah Sarot, six foot two, two hundred and nine pounds, 22 years old, he will turn 23 a month after the draft.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_02]: This dude dominated as a sophomore at James Madison is where he started.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_02]: He had a thousand one hundred ninety one yards eight touchdowns.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_02]: And he transferred the next year in twenty twenty four two Indiana with the Hoosiers.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_02]: He had nine hundred fifty seven yards and eight touchdowns.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_02]: And that was with Nathan Rork.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_02]: I believe as the quarterback and then this year in twenty twenty five on the national championship team.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_02]: Elijah Sarat, 65 receptions, 830 yards and fifth, teen touchdowns.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_02]: Here's the right up, Elijah Serrat has been one of the most productive wider severs in college football since 2022, and he maintained that reputation this year.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_02]: He eclipsed 1,000 yards with James Madison in 2023, led the Indian in Hoosiers and catches receiving touchdowns during the team's surprise CFB playoff campaign in 2024, and then in 2025 he achieved a career high 15 touchdowns distinguishing himself as a
- 34:09[SPEAKER_02]: At 6-2-209, Sirot fits the mold of wide receiver that has been polarizing time and time again on the NFL draft circuit.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_02]: He's not the most explosive nor does he have seem stretching speed, but he has the necessary foot speed, sink and tempo IQ to separate independently.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_02]: And at the catch point, he's a high-level converter and a true late handsmaster with extraordinary composure, timing, sense, and body control.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_02]: That toughness and play strength translates in the run after catch phase as well, and as a blocker, that's important, where Sirot brings consistent effort and plays very smart.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_02]: Athletic traits do matter, but elite execution supersedes those traits at the NFL level.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_02]: I do agree with that.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_02]: And Sirot is a platinum level operator who has the sky-high floor to underline tantalizing usage versatility production upside and utility, as a chain mover and
- 35:04[SPEAKER_02]: to me.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_02]: When I'm looking at Elijah Serrat and I don't know if this is a fair comparison because I haven't really studied this as deep as I want.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_02]: I got wider silver breakdown episodes coming up and all that kind of stuff and by that time I will.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_02]: But at first evaluation here, Elijah Sirot to me feels like Cortland Sutton for the Denver Broncos.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_02]: That's always been Sutton's thing.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_02]: He's not fast.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_02]: Cortland Sutton's slow.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_02]: I forget what his 40-time was.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't great.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_02]: He's not a fast receiver.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_02]: But he's open.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_02]: He knows how to run his routes and he's physical.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_02]: He's big, he'll bring down contested catches and that's all I saw Elijah Sarat do this year for Indiana.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_02]: You just throw it to him.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_02]: He could be covered, guide draped all over him.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_02]: Doesn't matter.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_02]: He's coming down with the catch.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, just his physicality to me, Elijah Sarat is,
- 36:05[SPEAKER_02]: What everybody hoped, said Rick Tillman could eventually turn into for the Browns.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_02]: And I think Elijah Sirot can be that right away.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_02]: So I think if you go and you get McIleman and then you add Elijah Sirot in the second round, I'm very on board with the Browns wide receiver core, moving in to 2026.

- 39:03[SPEAKER_02]: All right, let's keep going here.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_02]: Pick 70 in the third round.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_02]: We are going to go with offensive guard.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_02]: Chase Basantis out of Texas A&M.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_02]: This was one of Corey's picks, and I agree.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_02]: I like this kid eight times six foot five, 320 pounds, just 21 years old.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_02]: Chase Basantis returned to Texas A&M in 2025 as a 6-foot 6 320-pound junior who started nearly every game since arriving in college stations shifting from right tack on 2023 to his more natural spot at left guard in 2024.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_02]: In 2025 Basantis put together his best season yet earning him 13 all SEC honors while cataporting him into the conversation to be the top guard in the class.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_02]: might not be where he ends up come April, but right now that is where the mock draft database has his average.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_02]: But anyway, back to the scientists at his size.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_02]: He has extremely impressive knee bend, hip fluidity, and overarching flexibility on recovery, and he is a high level athlete who can match rusher's laterally reaches run game landmarks with ease and climb to the second level.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_02]: In the past, his run-blocking has been his strength, his explosive intonatious at the point of attack, however, his past protection reached new heights in 2025 and he now stands as one of the most balanced and well-leverage past-game operators in this class.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_02]: He has a sturdy center of gravity, active hands, and excellent upper-lower sink.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_02]: He's not quite as strong or powerful as Ioni, but Bessanta still has the high floor and high ceiling combination that NFL teams gravitate to.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_02]: And he has the impact starter upside in both phases.
- 40:45[SPEAKER_02]: So now, not only did we address the wider silver position, we have taken Caleb Lomu to play left tackle.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_02]: Now we're drafting Chase Basantis.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_02]: We have completely replaced the left side of the line because I fully expect Jobatonia to retire.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_02]: So the left side of the line is, we're good.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_02]: We got LUMMO, we got Basantis.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_02]: Now, I'm not sure what we do in free agency, obviously.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_02]: We already have Luke Whiplier, who I believe can adequately play center for the Browns.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_02]: And that's if we don't go get like a Tyler Linden bomb or something like that, one of the top centers.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_02]: But I think Luke Whiplier could probably hold down the fort.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_02]: So you got,
- 41:27[SPEAKER_02]: So your new offensive line could look like Lomu, Basantis, Whiplier, and then at Wright Tackle, if Duan Jones is healthy, he's back.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_02]: So rebuilding the offensive line, and then obviously there's moves at the Browns will make in free agency to get a starter or two.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_02]: I am sure on the offensive line in free agency.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_02]: They will spend big to make that happen.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_02]: Though the five new or, you know, if you account Duan Jones, the four new starting line
- 41:57[SPEAKER_02]: it might not be as hard to accomplish.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not saying it's going to be easy, but it might not be as challenging to accomplish as it feels looking at the roster right now.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_02]: I will see offensive line has not been Andrew Barry's strength over the years.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_02]: Zach's enter.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_02]: Jed Wills.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway,
- 42:16[SPEAKER_02]: Let's move on here in the draft.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_02]: So that was Pick 70 in the third round.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go to Pick 707 in the fourth round.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_02]: We are going to take safety.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_02]: One of my favorite safety's in this draft.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_02]: Genesis Smith out of Arizona, 6 foot to 204 pounds.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_02]: Genesis Smith declared as a true junior after registering an interception, eight pass breakups and a PFS and safety impacts score of 84.7 in 2025.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_02]: at 6-2-204 Smith as a rare range and long strider speed as a center-fielder and single-high safety, and his playmaking instincts are stellar, but he's not just a one-trick pony with his center-fielder skills.
- 42:56[SPEAKER_02]: He can sync, redirect, and manage space and intermediate zones as well, and he's a rocket reacting and closing on the ball.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_02]: As a pure coverage defender, Smith is one of the best safeties in the class with his coverage mobility, route vision, spatial reasoning, and playmaking range.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_02]: However, there's no skirting around the fact that he's a major work in progress as a run support player.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_02]: And this is why I like him because that's stuff right there.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_02]: I need that guy and the back in that free safety type player that can be this dominant dude.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_02]: We got guys in front of him, you know,
- 43:31[SPEAKER_02]: Grand Delphate, Carson, Swesinger, the guys on the line, everything.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_02]: I think this, that I'm okay with this.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_02]: It says he at least has the size and willingness to play downhill, but his pursuit angles take on technique against blocks and his tackling former all-pretty poor and must improve as he makes the NFL lead.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_02]: If you're comfortable projecting off of his size and range, then he is assuredly worth the early round investment with his elite coverage ability.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_02]: On the back end with rare single high utility and two high flex,
- 43:58[SPEAKER_02]: Smith is a steady in presence and a consistent turnover threat for core backs who prove to be too bold.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_02]: So I would really like to add a guy who is a ball hawk like this into my defensive secondary.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_02]: So Genesis Smith, safety out Arizona is my pick at 107.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_02]: Now the Browns have three picks pretty much clustered together here in the fifth round.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_02]: So let's roll through these pretty quickly and then we'll wrap it up.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_02]: The first pick in the fifth round, pick 139, the Brownstake interior offensive line and Matt Golbin out of Michigan State.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_02]: All right, Matt Golbin, six four.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_02]: 312-pound he finished his collegiate career with double-digit starts at center, left guard, and right guard, insulating his value as an immediate depth piece in an offensive line room.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_02]: That said, he has legitimate starting appeal as an NFL center and earned an elite PFSN O line impact grade of 92.1 in 2025.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_02]: Though Goldman isn't quite the athlete that other early-round centers in the class are, he still brings great initial explosion off the line and he has a good range climbing to the second level.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_02]: In the run game, his exceptional leverage acquisition and pad level management skills define his game.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_02]: Though he also boasts a lead core strength when latched and can use this to keep defenders inside his frame while driving lower body power.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_02]: Meanwhile, in past protection, Galbin excels, at playing square two rushers, using carefully time punches and a suffocating anchor to limit opposing power output.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_02]: Galbin can still gain more experience identifying stunts and blitzes at the full-crum buddy plays with patience and discipline, and he's not afraid to torque defenders off balance and finish when given the opportunity.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_02]: A high floor player with translatable leveraging, hand power and functional strength, Galbin
- 45:47[SPEAKER_02]: a mid-round steel.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_02]: And that's what the Browns get here at 139.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_02]: A couple of picks later, pick 144.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_02]: We are taking something we desperately need.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_02]: Because I think we got a guy who's not coming back.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_02]: Tite End, Eli Rared End, out of Notre Dame.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_02]: I do not think David and Joe who comes back to the Browns.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_02]: I think his time and Cleveland is over.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see how that plays out.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_02]: One free agency kicks off and all this kind of stuff.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_02]: But either way, the Browns need to add to the Titan room in this guy, Eli Rareden is the answer.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_02]: Six foot seven, 252 pounds this dude is a freaking monster on the field.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_02]: Eli Rareden is one of the more intriguing Titan prospects in the 2026 NFL draft.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_02]: He has dealt with injuries in the past, but was mostly healthy in 2025 and he turned in a career best campaign as a result he caught 32 passes,
- 46:39[SPEAKER_02]: 482 yards and while he didn't score any touchdowns he proved his metal, time and time again as a venerable steam splicing and rack thread in open space.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_02]: At 6752, he is a long and lean tight end, with great measures as well as good baseline explosiveness, foot speed and open field pace.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_02]: He's a high quality blocker.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, this is where I really get latched onto this kid.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_02]: He's a high quality blocker who can work inline, pull or track defenders in space, and as a receiver, he meld's a fish and acceleration, bend zone IQ, body control, and strong hands, two function as a quality intermediate safety blankets.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_02]: So like I said, the Brown's definitely need depth, playmakers at tight end alongside Harold Fanon.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_02]: Like I said, in my speculations that David and Joker will not be back and fan in, well, he was awesome as a rookie.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_02]: He is a complete stud and awesome football player.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_02]: He is not the traditional tight end.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't feel that rule.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_02]: We need somebody who can be that inline blocking tight end that then can also go out and make plays in the past catching game.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_02]: Rared and sounds like the perfect guy for that.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_02]: So Eli Rared and his might pick for the Browns here.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_02]: Tight end out of Notre Dame at Pick 144.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_02]: And then three picks later, we wrap this thing up with 147, sorry, pick 147 here in the fifth round.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_02]: The Browns take corner back.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_02]: Hezekiah Massus out of California.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_02]: Six foot one, 185.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_02]: Hezekiah Massus transferred to California from Florida International after serving as a full-time starter for nearly three years on the Panther Squad.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_02]: It didn't take long for him to take off with his new opportunity at the ACC level.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_02]: In 2025, Massis distinguished himself as one of the most prolific playmakers on the ball in college football, accruing five interceptions and 13 past deflections.
- 48:28[SPEAKER_02]: He earned one of the best PFSN cornerback impact grades in the league with a figure of 92.1.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_02]: And per true media, he also achieved an excellent forced and completion percentage of 20%.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_02]: Masses passes the production test and the tape test will also ring true for the rising senior.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_02]: At 6-1-185 he's long, he's leaned with the right profile for dictation in press, but his his coverage mobility is his foundation.
- 48:57[SPEAKER_02]: Not his size or his physicality, he's light and quiet on his feet, he's amped up as an accelerator and he has a fluid swivel on vertical transitions and overtop routes.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_02]: Tackling and penalties remain areas for improvement and masses also lacks elite vertical speed, but he nonetheless has clear starting ability in man-heavy schemes.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_02]: Give me Hazikia masses here later in the fifth round.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_02]: At the cornerback spot, I think that'll be a great pick.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_02]: for the Browns.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_02]: And that's it.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_02]: Those are the eight picks for the Browns and Browns one through five to go back through it.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_02]: Pick six.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_02]: We take wide receiver, Mackay Lemon out of U.S. C. Pick 24 is offensive.
- 49:37[SPEAKER_02]: Tackle left tackle.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_02]: Notably.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_02]: Caleb Lomu out of Utah.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_02]: Pick 39 is Elijah Serrat, the big body physical receiver out of Indiana.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_02]: Pick 70 Offensive Guard Chase Basantis out of Texas, A&M, Pick 107 Safety, Genesis Smith out of Arizona, Pick 139 Interior Offensive Lyman Matt Golbin from Michigan State.
- 50:01[SPEAKER_02]: And then we round things out, 144 Titan, E-Li, rared in from Notre Dame, 147 is corner back.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_02]: Hizikia, masses out of California.
- 50:12[SPEAKER_02]: And that's it, guys, right there's your mock draft.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_02]: 2.0 for the Cleveland Browns.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_02]: And again, you're welcome, everybody.

- 51:31[SPEAKER_02]: Once again, I apologize for my incorrect assumption on the Rooney rule and Nate Sheo House getting hired.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_02]: We still have to put
- 51:39[SPEAKER_02]: cook up another interview with somebody in order to satisfy that rule.
- 51:43[SPEAKER_02]: Unfortunately, but the Brown seemed to be narrowed down to, in my opinion, I think it's, I think it's Yudinsky, I think it's She-O-House, and then I think it's Jim Schwartz as kind of a fail-safe fall back insurance plant, but we'll see how it plays out.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_02]: We're getting closer and closer to the head coaching hire and that will definitely help us start figuring out who the staff is going to be and what direction they might be planning to go here and free agency and the draft.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_02]: But as far as the draft goes, here's my 2.0 strategy for the Clevver Brown.
