- 0:00Speaker 1: Well, good evening, listeners. Thank you again, as always. I'm
- 0:03Speaker 1: so grateful for all you guys who have built this
- 0:06Speaker 1: podcast up, who listen, who watch. And I've just been,
- 0:11Speaker 1: you know, falling across so many different stories this year,
- 0:15Speaker 1: and they're so different. But I came across Dawn Wilcox,
- 0:20Speaker 1: who's on the screen, and then for those listening, you'll
- 0:22Speaker 1: hear her voice.
- 0:25Speaker 2: But I'm just so grateful. I'm so glad I came
- 0:29Speaker 2: across your story. For me, even though I've never had
- 0:35Speaker 2: murder or sexual assault, coming from a place where knowing
- 0:41Speaker 2: that people can be really violent in their words or
- 0:45Speaker 2: in their actions, I think it's so encouraging to see
- 0:48Speaker 2: that somebody actually cares enough to do something to bring
- 0:52Speaker 2: awareness to. people who are forgotten because they're not famous
- 0:56Speaker 2: they're not special to the world.
- 0:58Speaker 3: You know yeah yeah and I think earlier when you
- 1:02Speaker 3: talked about um you know like Gabby Petito and one
- 1:07Speaker 3: one of the kind of misunderstandings about that is yes
- 1:10Speaker 3: that case got a lot of um attention but it
- 1:14Speaker 3: primarily at first got a lot of attention because of
- 1:17Speaker 3: her followers notice she was you know But you need
- 1:21Speaker 3: to be sure to, you know, if we only have
- 1:24Speaker 3: limited news resources that we're covering all women's cases as
- 1:29Speaker 3: much as we can. And, you know, especially women from
- 1:33Speaker 3: marginalized groups and, you know, that sort of thing. But
- 1:38Speaker 3: I'm so glad you came across the article and I
- 1:40Speaker 3: appreciate the time you spent with me and allowing me
- 1:43Speaker 3: to talk about what I think is very important work.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Yes. And I'm so grateful my audience got to listen.
- 1:51Speaker 2: you know, I may get some comments that are going
- 1:53Speaker 2: to be like, you know, people have their, probably some
- 1:58Speaker 2: of the things we talked about here, like are going
- 2:01Speaker 2: to come up as, as things to say, but regardless,
- 2:04Speaker 2: I'm like, I don't care.
- 2:06Speaker 3: So yeah.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Such is the nature of social media, but such cannot
- 2:14Speaker 2: be the nature of storytelling.
- 2:16Speaker 3: That's right.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:18Speaker 3: That's right.
- 2:20Speaker 2: All right. Thank you. You're welcome. Have a good rest
- 2:23Speaker 2: of your day. Rest up. All right.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Bye.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Bye.
