- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Welcome back, everyone.
- 0:01SPEAKER_00: Hi.
- 0:03SPEAKER_00: That was so not exciting.
- 0:04SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: But it's fine.
- 0:06SPEAKER_01: I mean, we dragged ourselves in here today.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: We did.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: We really did.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: I I uh look, here's the thing.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: I don't want to say drag.
- 0:11SPEAKER_01: Which is good.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't want to say drag because I do love when we get together and we do this.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: Otherwise, it's really difficult and it's hard.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: Um, so it's been fun.
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: We've been I shouldn't say it's been fun.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: It's been really depressing, but yeah.
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: It has.
- 0:24SPEAKER_01: I'm like so down.
- 0:25SPEAKER_01: I know about everything.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: It's terrible.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: It's terrible.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: But then I stop and I think like when I really think about it, it makes me really, really sad and really depressed.
- 0:36SPEAKER_01: And by it, we mean gaza.
- 0:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, of course.
- 0:38SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: Like what else would I be talking about?
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: I mean, two months with no food, no aid, no water, nothing.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's ridiculous.
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: Like, when is this shit gonna stop?
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: That's the thing that scares me.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: I feel like when it stops, it's like when everybody's gonna die.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: Is that terrible of me to say out loud?
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: So bad.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: That's literally the feeling, the feeling that I have all the time.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: But like, this is like, you know how we go on our daily, like we do things with the kids, we go to work, but it's just like it's always at the back of my mind, and I'm just like, I don't want to come, like we've said this so many times.
- 1:04SPEAKER_01: Like, this podcast wasn't supposed to be about things like this, but like we we're going on with our lives, but like it's always at the back, like there's something different.
- 1:13SPEAKER_01: Like, I am not the same.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: Like, I know, like, I'm not making it about me.
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: Please, like, don't misunderstand what I'm saying.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: But like, I can't function you know, I saw something this morning.
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: I saw something this morning, and I think that is going to I'll I'll tell you exactly what it is.
- 1:28SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I mean?
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: Like, like it's it's so I saw something this morning, and I was like, oh, this is like exactly, you know, how everybody is kind of feeling.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: And it says if your heart has been aching for the past 19 months, if your soul feels shaken, if your tears cannot seem to dry, then you should be proud that your heart feels heavy.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: Many cold souls walk this earth and their hearts have already visited the graveyard.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: Your heart is still alive.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: Keep pushing the good fight against the oppression.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: Free Palestine.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: Inshallah.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's just so I was when I saw that, I saw that just this morning.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: I was like, oh, okay.
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: Like, yeah, but still, man.
- 2:04SPEAKER_01: So like I I like there's something like for me, life will never be the same again.
- 2:09SPEAKER_01: And and like I said, I'm not trying to make it about myself, but I'm just saying, as a human, as someone with a heart, you don't even have to be Palestinian.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: I just like how I can.
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: Like it's just like like this is happening, and we're doing our day-to-day stuff, you know, we're going to like uh games, like sports games for our kids, we're supporting our kids, we're going to events, we're living our life.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: And at the end of the day, like when you sit and you think about like, damn, this shit's still going on.
- 2:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:32SPEAKER_01: Like, when is this gonna stop?
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: It you know, I I will tell you, it makes me feel very blessed and very thankful that I'm able to do all of these things with my kids.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: Go out there, do sporting events, support them, you know, do the little things that they enjoy doing.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: I'm it makes me thankful.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: Whereas before, you're kind of like complaining and taking for granted that you're like, oh, I have this, I have this like volleyball game that I gotta go to, or I have to, you know, this, this, this wrestling match that I gotta do, or I I have scouts or whatever.
- 3:01SPEAKER_01: So yeah, I mean, like, I don't want to like keep talking about this, but like like there's actual kids starving to death.
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: And the problem is like when we used to, you know how we were putting donation links and stuff.
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: It's just like, even if you do that, you feel like that's not even helpful anymore because like there's no aid being allowed in.
- 3:16SPEAKER_01: No, like even if you're donating, like you, it's like they've taken every single way for us to possibly help.
- 3:22SPEAKER_01: It's just gone now.
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: Like, like, what do you do?
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: What do you like?
- 3:26SPEAKER_01: What do you how like I I feel like so like helpless?
- 3:28SPEAKER_01: Like, I can't help them.
- 3:29SPEAKER_01: Like I'm so useless.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: I I I feel you.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: You're I I see you, your feelings are valid.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna end this segment with Yom heilai.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: Okay, can you translate that please?
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: Basically, like, how do I translate this?
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: Yum he'll be able to do that.
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah, please, because I will tell you Arabic, because I still need to help with that too.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: I've heard it before.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: It means, you know, God gives uh respite but does not neglect.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: So you know, it's inshallah.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: So it's we that's that's all one can hope for.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: Inshallah.
- 4:04SPEAKER_01: So okay.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: I don't know why four came out really weird as a fool.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: Um, like I said, uh honestly, like I hate to do this, but that was just like how I was feeling.
- 4:14SPEAKER_01: We all have things that weigh heavily on our minds, and yeah, so I had to start out with that first, but I think the last time was before Ramadan.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: We did an episode.
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: Um, so how was your Ramadan?
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: Ramadan was amazing, it was amazing.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: I have like no complaints, but I will tell you, last week I had a rough week.
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: And it had nothing to do with this.
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: Um I have to admit, okay, I was doing some research, right?
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: So, you know, we all get to this point where you're like, what am I doing this job for?
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: What am I doing?
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you know, uh, I need to, you know, what am I living for?
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: And so I was like, there has to be, and then I went to do my nails, and then my nail lady said that she has a client who makes like$20,000 plus dollars a month selling feet pics on OnlyFans.
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: I can't with you, I can't, I did not see this coming.
- 4:59SPEAKER_01: I thought you were actually serious for a minute, and then I did research.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: Guys, let me just tell you, Reddit is like where it's at.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: So I went on Reddit because there's a lot of like, you know, just step stacks dedicated to like people who do this.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 5:15SPEAKER_00: And there's a whole plan.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: There's a woman on there, right?
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: Okay, who sells like a whole book on how to like make your feet famous and how to monetize.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: So I'm not gonna lie for a split second, I considered it.
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: And then I was like, Will I get fired from my regular job?
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: Will it be like and then I was like, would this be considered shameful?
- 5:36SPEAKER_01: Yes, absolutely.
- 5:38SPEAKER_01: I'm telling you right now, I will not allow you to do this.
- 5:40SPEAKER_01: Okay, this is first of all, it's haram, and second of all, fadih.
- 5:45SPEAKER_01: Okay, it is shameful.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: Anyways, but that's kind of what so you went down the rabbit hole with that one.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: I don't know what it was so interesting.
- 5:53SPEAKER_00: Oh, it was so interesting.
- 5:55SPEAKER_01: You never researched things like that.
- 5:56SPEAKER_01: No, no.
- 5:58SPEAKER_01: I say Alhamdulillah, I say thank you, God, for giving me so do I have to do that.
- 6:01SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 6:02SPEAKER_01: And me and my kids have health insurance.
- 6:03SPEAKER_01: That's all I care about.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: But sometimes, sometimes it's just I don't know.
- 6:07SPEAKER_01: Sometimes it's that's why, that's why we have to focus on the rabbit hole.
- 6:11SPEAKER_01: No, no, this is why we have to focus on making this work.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: I know and start making money off of this damn podcast, so you don't have to go to such crazy uh uh scenarios in your head.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: I mean we all have these crazy scenarios in our head, it's not just me.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: But I just thought that that no okay, you're busy being mad at people and hating people, you don't have time to think about it.
- 6:32SPEAKER_01: I don't hate people, I just don't like them.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: It's the same thing.
- 6:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's not the same, no.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: Anyways, but that's that's sort of what I that's what you spent your time last week doing.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: Not all of my time, but some of my time.
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: Alright.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: I mean, I thought it was She's not gonna do it.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: I won't allow her to do it now.
- 6:46SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna do it.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna I always joke about it, but I'm not gonna do it.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah, definitely not.
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: But um, but I I mean, look, look, I would love to know.
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: I'm sure I'm not the only person who's ever done this research before.
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: The feet picks?
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: No.
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 7:02SPEAKER_01: No.
- 7:03SPEAKER_01: I don't know what's happening.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: So just to give you some perspective, we usually record in my house when nobody's home, and today my husband decided that he's working from home.
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: So he's downstairs making all sorts of noise.
- 7:14SPEAKER_00: I'm not really sure what he's messing with, but he's supposed to be working.
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:18SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 7:19SPEAKER_01: I don't know, you know.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: It's okay.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: He is working.
- 7:20SPEAKER_01: He's it's just weaken here.
- 7:22SPEAKER_01: I doubt that you guys can hear we'll get picked up.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: Um so what else is happening?
- 7:27SPEAKER_00: What else is happening?
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: I mean, in the world or in my life.
- 7:29SPEAKER_00: In your life.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: Because the world is too depressing to talk about.
- 7:32SPEAKER_00: The world is very depressing.
- 7:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:33SPEAKER_00: Um nothing.
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: Nothing?
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: Nothing.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: Bin murra.
- 7:38SPEAKER_00: I was gonna wash my hair today to do this episode, and then I decided to.
- 7:40SPEAKER_01: No, your hair is fine.
- 7:41SPEAKER_01: Did you overreact with how your hair is and all?
- 7:43SPEAKER_01: I think I need to cut my first world problems.
- 7:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:47SPEAKER_01: It's a little bit longer than usual.
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: I was just telling Lena too.
- 7:50SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I I really wanna call him.
- 7:54SPEAKER_01: Do you want to call him?
- 7:55SPEAKER_01: Babe! Babe?
- 7:57SPEAKER_00: What are you doing?
- 8:01SPEAKER_00: Oh ironing.
- 8:02SPEAKER_00: Ironing! That's what that sound is.
- 8:05SPEAKER_00: I was wondering.
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: No, you're good.
- 8:09unknown: Irony.
- 8:10SPEAKER_01: He's so funny.
- 8:11SPEAKER_00: At least he ironed.
- 8:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's true.
- 8:13SPEAKER_01: Um what were we talking about?
- 8:15SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 8:15SPEAKER_00: My hair.
- 8:16SPEAKER_00: Oh, I I really wanted to grow my hair long, but it's just it doesn't grow anymore, guys.
- 8:20SPEAKER_01: What do you mean?
- 8:21SPEAKER_01: Like it doesn't grow.
- 8:23SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 8:24SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 8:24SPEAKER_01: I feel like it doesn't get long.
- 8:25SPEAKER_01: I think maybe because you put so much shit in it.
- 8:27SPEAKER_01: That's it.
- 8:28SPEAKER_01: That's probably why.
- 8:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 8:29SPEAKER_00: But yeah, it's just kind of it's like this short, curly, and then it's like down here when it's straight, but that's obviously because you have shrinkage and stuff with curls, but that's it.
- 8:38SPEAKER_01: Okay, so I know what I want to talk about actually.
- 8:40SPEAKER_01: I was telling Mahmoud, your husband, earlier.
- 8:43SPEAKER_01: Um, and you offered me a cookie too.
- 8:45SPEAKER_01: I said no, because like I'm trying to eat healthier because since 2023, I think I've gained like 15 pounds.
- 8:52SPEAKER_01: It happened.
- 8:52SPEAKER_01: Okay, and like add another 15 when we do this, because you know the camera adds another 15, so that's like a good thing to have right there.
- 8:58SPEAKER_01: Anyway, so I I made a decision last week.
- 8:59SPEAKER_01: I'm like, halas, that's it.
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: You're like, I'm gonna do it.
- 9:02SPEAKER_01: Exercise, I'm not gonna do any crazy because the crazy diet things don't work after four years.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Lena, Lena's been Lena's been a crazy dieter since the day that I've met her.
- 9:11SPEAKER_01: No, I have not been crazy.
- 9:12SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 9:12SPEAKER_01: I just like, you know, when you're back in the day in your 20s, if you didn't eat for three or four days, you lost the weight.
- 9:17SPEAKER_00: Okay, back in the day in your 20s, a lot of things were different.
- 9:20SPEAKER_00: We were not living in unprecedented times.
- 9:22SPEAKER_01: I know, I know.
- 9:22SPEAKER_01: And like it was hard, dude.
- 9:24SPEAKER_01: Like my like my daughter, like, I said, like, why were you guys like so like pent up on being so skinny?
- 9:29SPEAKER_01: Because now, like, it happens, like the newer generation doesn't have that issue, you know.
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: I mean, I still think they do.
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: I still think there's a lot of realistic expectations of like what girls are supposed to look like on social media.
- 9:38SPEAKER_01: It's not like like growing up in the world.
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: There's a lot more, yeah, there's a lot more positivity.
- 9:45SPEAKER_01: Anyway, so so I was like, halas, I'm gonna do it and I'm gonna do it.
- 9:48SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna do the calorie, like, you know, do a calorie deficit, but eat whatever I cook.
- 9:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 9:52SPEAKER_01: Just, you know, portion sizes and just exercise, because that was my biggest thing.
- 9:56SPEAKER_01: I always like made an excuse, oh, I'm too busy.
- 9:58SPEAKER_01: And you know, we're we are busy.
- 9:59SPEAKER_01: We're we're working, we're taking care of the kids and the family and the home and whatever.
- 10:03SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, no, I have to give myself half an hour a day and start out slowly, you know?
- 10:08SPEAKER_01: So like I've been, I started doing this last week, right?
- 10:10SPEAKER_01: Either I walk or like I do racquetball or something, right?
- 10:14SPEAKER_01: That's awesome.
- 10:15SPEAKER_01: Tell me why.
- 10:15SPEAKER_01: Day three of doing this, my ankle starts hurting me and my knees starts hurting me.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: Just like, why?
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: Your body's like, um, I'm not ready.
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: You did not ask my opinion.
- 10:25SPEAKER_01: Maybe it was just a walk.
- 10:26SPEAKER_01: Like, I just do like a mile, mile and a half.
- 10:28SPEAKER_01: Because I'm really starting out slow.
- 10:30SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm not like trying to run.
- 10:31SPEAKER_01: Because you know, my ass is not gonna be.
- 10:32SPEAKER_01: Maybe, maybe you should have MJ, like, take you.
- 10:34SPEAKER_01: MJ's like.
- 10:35SPEAKER_01: He does biking.
- 10:35SPEAKER_01: I'm not gonna get on a bike.
- 10:37SPEAKER_01: I'm just not like it's cool.
- 10:38SPEAKER_01: I know how to ride a bike, but it's just not for me.
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: I don't know how to ride a bike.
- 10:41SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
- 10:42SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah, I do remember you saying that.
- 10:44SPEAKER_01: Dude, I you can't.
- 10:44SPEAKER_01: Like, how do you not know how to ride a bike?
- 10:46SPEAKER_01: I can't.
- 10:46SPEAKER_01: You're the one who doesn't know how to swim.
- 10:47SPEAKER_01: That's a bike.
- 10:48SPEAKER_01: Okay, okay.
- 10:49SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 10:49SPEAKER_01: That is a life skill.
- 10:50SPEAKER_01: Okay, I make sure my kids know how to swim though.
- 10:52SPEAKER_01: So that's in case in case in case something happens to you.
- 10:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they can save me.
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: It's funny, I don't know why everybody has this one thing that like they can't do.
- 11:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 11:01SPEAKER_01: I I think I have a except for all my white friends, they all do everything.
- 11:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: Like you might, I went to I went to dinner with two of my friends a couple weeks ago, and it was great.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: So two two uh white dudes, right?
- 11:12SPEAKER_00: They're two former colleagues, great people.
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: Okay, and you know, one of them is like, I biked here, so I'm on time.
- 11:18SPEAKER_00: I don't have to worry about my you know parking my car.
- 11:20SPEAKER_00: And all he bikes everywhere?
- 11:21SPEAKER_00: No, he biked to the restaurant.
- 11:23SPEAKER_00: Oh, because it was like close-ish to like where he lives.
- 11:25SPEAKER_00: There's like a 20-minute bike ride.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 11:27SPEAKER_00: That's close-ish, right?
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: 20-minute bike ride?
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: No.
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: And so all I was thinking that all I was thinking to myself is, oh my god, I don't think I have ever in my life said, let me just bike there.
- 11:36SPEAKER_00: Or let me just walk there.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: Unless it was like a block.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but I'm should I'm should do stuff like that.
- 11:41SPEAKER_00: He would.
- 11:41SPEAKER_00: He would.
- 11:42SPEAKER_00: I'm just like, no.
- 11:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 11:43SPEAKER_00: That's one thing I wish I like did like my my my Caucasian friends.
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: Like they do everything.
- 11:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but like, look, but seriously, I'm like, I'm not gonna stop.
- 11:50SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I'm just walking.
- 11:51SPEAKER_01: Like the knee will get in in line, and so will the ankle.
- 11:54SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I'm just gonna continue.
- 11:55SPEAKER_00: It's not like unbearable pain.
- 11:57SPEAKER_00: No, no, no, no.
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: But it's also like, think about it like this.
- 11:59SPEAKER_00: It's probably like because you like don't move in the at and the same level that you're supposed to be moving, and it's probably because all of a sudden the muscles, like, oh my god.
- 12:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and then I think it's also like I was like, oh my god, am I at that stage?
- 12:11SPEAKER_01: Am I at that age where like my knees hurting because I'm just fat?
- 12:14SPEAKER_01: Like, yeah, yes, welcome to the club.
- 12:16SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I I'm like, I'm there.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: I don't like the word fat, but we're definitely in the um lovely and curvy department, the both of us.
- 12:26SPEAKER_01: So do you like that better?
- 12:28SPEAKER_01: Dude, I'm okay.
- 12:29SPEAKER_01: As long as like everything works fine.
- 12:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah, exactly.
- 12:32SPEAKER_01: Well, clearly not your knee or mine.
- 12:34SPEAKER_01: I'm trying to, I'm trying to like live better.
- 12:37SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 12:38SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, let me eat healthier.
- 12:39SPEAKER_00: I mean, there's so many other things that I can do to live better.
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: Like, I can limit my caffeine intake, which I should, you know, but I don't coffee's good for you.
- 12:46SPEAKER_01: As long as you're not having it like like five or six.
- 12:49SPEAKER_01: The next thing you're gonna tell me is nicotine is good for you.
- 12:52SPEAKER_01: I mean, there listen, there's some benefits there.
- 12:55SPEAKER_01: I read something about that, but no.
- 12:57SPEAKER_01: It's just crap.
- 12:57SPEAKER_01: That's what I'm saying.
- 12:58SPEAKER_01: Coffee, coffee is actually good.
- 12:59SPEAKER_01: It's good for a lot of things.
- 13:01SPEAKER_01: Just don't overdo it.
- 13:02SPEAKER_00: I don't overdo it.
- 13:02SPEAKER_00: I just really like coffee.
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: I really do.
- 13:05SPEAKER_01: Do your thing then.
- 13:06SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 13:06SPEAKER_01: It's not gonna kill anyone.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: I'm down gonna bother you.
- 13:10SPEAKER_00: I know I'm down to three shots of espresso a day.
- 13:13SPEAKER_01: Is it before a certain time?
- 13:15SPEAKER_00: Is it before?
- 13:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 13:15SPEAKER_00: Okay, it's like in the morning.
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's in the morning.
- 13:18SPEAKER_01: You're good.
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: I mean, honestly, you know what I need to do?
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: I need to start sleeping better.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: I don't feel like I'm seeing it.
- 13:22SPEAKER_01: I'm trying to work on that too.
- 13:23unknown: Oh my god.
- 13:24SPEAKER_01: So for me, it's like I always cook at home, so the food is always like vegetables.
- 13:27SPEAKER_01: All the time.
- 13:30SPEAKER_01: I know, but I'm saying for me, like I'm saying I'm trying to live better, but like the food I'm always good at.
- 13:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah, the food the food is not my problem.
- 13:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, the food is not the issue.
- 13:36SPEAKER_01: I think the lack of movement at this age.
- 13:38SPEAKER_01: Like, I've come to the realization that I can't get away with going on a diet for a couple weeks and then losing the extra weight that I need because in the in our 20s, we were able to.
- 13:46SPEAKER_01: It's not gonna happen.
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: After 40, it's over.
- 13:48SPEAKER_01: Now it's your body's like, it's on.
- 13:50SPEAKER_01: I dare you to try and do this.
- 13:52SPEAKER_01: Now you actually have to move.
- 13:53SPEAKER_01: I think I'm gonna try this.
- 13:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm gonna give this a couple months.
- 13:56SPEAKER_01: If this shit doesn't work, then I'm done.
- 13:58SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 13:59SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna worry about it.
- 14:01SPEAKER_01: No, I'm still gonna try to exercise, but I'm just not gonna worry about it.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: Honestly, I do feel like after 40, you obviously like as women, we go through like these hormonal changes, and there are things that you were able to do before that you're not able to do now.
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: And so it's just it becomes like a giant mess.
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: But it's yeah, yeah.
- 14:18SPEAKER_01: But I'm proud of you.
- 14:19SPEAKER_01: That's good.
- 14:19SPEAKER_01: I'm chopped up in the right day.
- 14:21SPEAKER_01: So, like uh last week I did five days out of seven.
- 14:23SPEAKER_01: That's great.
- 14:24SPEAKER_01: This uh today I'm probably not because I gotta cook.
- 14:26SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 14:27SPEAKER_01: And you can walk after you finish cooking.
- 14:29SPEAKER_01: Maybe if I have time, yeah, yeah.
- 14:31SPEAKER_01: If I have time for sure.
- 14:32SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't make any excuses like I used to before.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah, just go for like around the block where you live.
- 14:36SPEAKER_01: But I like the makeup on.
- 14:38SPEAKER_01: It's cute.
- 14:39SPEAKER_01: What do you mean?
- 14:39SPEAKER_01: You the makeup you didn't have me.
- 14:40SPEAKER_01: I'm like, no, I gotta take it off.
- 14:42SPEAKER_01: No, it's fine.
- 14:43SPEAKER_01: I'm joking.
- 14:43SPEAKER_00: It's nice, it's nice.
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: You look you look nice today.
- 14:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because we we needed to give Lena some color because Lena goes, Lena goes, oh my god, I need color.
- 14:49SPEAKER_00: I'm like, that is God's job.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: I'm not, I can only do what I can do.
- 14:52SPEAKER_00: You're not a miracle worker, huh?
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: She's just so fair and she doesn't get enough sun.
- 14:57SPEAKER_01: I've been going outside to walk, okay?
- 14:58SPEAKER_01: And I'm working on that.
- 14:59SPEAKER_01: But I think freckle.
- 15:00SPEAKER_00: I was gonna say, you need to wear sunscreen.
- 15:02SPEAKER_01: I do.
- 15:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you have to.
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: Because Lena all of a sudden turns into one giant sunspot.
- 15:06SPEAKER_01: It's true.
- 15:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you can play connect the dots.
- 15:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 15:09SPEAKER_01: It's like everywhere.
- 15:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but I I think that's just like some some like your skin type.
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: Some kids are like that.
- 15:15SPEAKER_01: But that's the thing, also, like I can never get a tan.
- 15:16SPEAKER_01: It's always freckles.
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I feel like it's freckles and then you probably burn you sat outside of the sun.
- 15:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 15:21SPEAKER_01: Anyway, what else?
- 15:22SPEAKER_01: When you're that white.
- 15:23SPEAKER_01: Shut up, Hanan.
- 15:24SPEAKER_01: Tell me.
- 15:25SPEAKER_01: It's true.
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: What else?
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: What else am I uh what else do I have going on?
- 15:28SPEAKER_00: So we talked about your healthy eating habits, we talked about my potential um foot business.
- 15:34SPEAKER_01: No, there's no potential footb business.
- 15:37SPEAKER_01: Forget it.
- 15:37SPEAKER_01: Feet fake business.
- 15:38SPEAKER_01: No, no, no.
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: No, I wouldn't really do that.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: I feel like that would be weird.
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: Like when I having spent all of that time researching on Reddit, I will tell you something, it freaked me out.
- 15:49SPEAKER_00: I'm like, people are degenerates.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: They are perverts.
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: But anyways, that's true.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: I can't bring myself to do that.
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: That's a soul.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: But I do think I I I have to say, like, I do really appreciate Reddit for a lot of stuff like this.
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: No, Reddit, people are like very unfiltered.
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: It's it's great.
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: It's great.
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: And then it made me think like, what if I became like a Substack moderator?
- 16:08SPEAKER_01: You could.
- 16:08SPEAKER_01: I mean, is there money in that?
- 16:09SPEAKER_01: No.
- 16:10SPEAKER_01: Okay, then why would you?
- 16:10SPEAKER_01: I think it would just be fun.
- 16:11SPEAKER_01: No.
- 16:12SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, female.
- 16:13SPEAKER_01: Focus on the shit.
- 16:14SPEAKER_01: We gotta, we can barely even do this together.
- 16:17SPEAKER_01: What is it?
- 16:18SPEAKER_01: A moderator.
- 16:19SPEAKER_01: No.
- 16:19SPEAKER_01: No.
- 16:20SPEAKER_00: Okay, fine.
- 16:20SPEAKER_00: Focus on the things that really matter.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: Oh, you know what?
- 16:23SPEAKER_00: I did want to mention to you guys, like, we have a few fun things coming up.
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: So, like different, different content.
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: So um, we have an episode coming up with uh an author who is Egyptian American.
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: He's pretty great.
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: Um he we are going to his um like book uh launch event, so wait for that to come.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: And then we have another episode with a uh another couple, uh, an interracial uh marriage.
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: Uh I think it's gonna be really awesome and really great.
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: And um it's a cool episode because it's um, you know, it's about love and it's about love again and um just like different cultures.
- 16:59SPEAKER_00: So I think it's gonna be cool.
- 17:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 17:01SPEAKER_00: I'm excited.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 17:03SPEAKER_01: I mean, I'm kind of worried about the one where we're going there and we gotta do the setup and stuff.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: But well, that that's because Lena's the one who does it.
- 17:08SPEAKER_00: So I would be worried too.
- 17:09SPEAKER_01: Lena's hands like Lena, oh, we're gonna do this at this place.
- 17:12SPEAKER_01: I'm like, uh, I think it's gonna be fine.
- 17:15SPEAKER_01: Okay, hopefully the lighting will be good.
- 17:17SPEAKER_01: We'll we'll take our, you know, we'll take some of the stuff we've got.
- 17:19SPEAKER_01: I think one of the things isn't working, the one I have.
- 17:21SPEAKER_01: One of them isn't working.
- 17:22SPEAKER_01: What do you mean?
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: The light.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: The lights, it's okay.
- 17:24SPEAKER_00: We'll figure something.
- 17:24SPEAKER_00: We'll figure something out.
- 17:25SPEAKER_00: It's really good.
- 17:25SPEAKER_00: That's yeah, we'll take that.
- 17:26SPEAKER_00: We'll take one.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: It'll be fine.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: We just need to find a quiet corner.
- 17:30SPEAKER_00: I could even bring like a small rug or something so it could help absorb some of the sound.
- 17:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I like how we're planning on the anyway.
- 17:37SPEAKER_01: So I have we have to start making money off of this.
- 17:39SPEAKER_01: Remember, I told you, I'm like, I know.
- 17:42SPEAKER_01: Like, we're not making any money.
- 17:43SPEAKER_00: But I worry about Uncle Sam.
- 17:44SPEAKER_01: Me too.
- 17:45SPEAKER_01: And I'm just like, I I almost signed up for us for TikTok and I'm just like, shit.
- 17:49SPEAKER_01: And then I got to the cracked question.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and I'm just like, no, Uncle Sam.
- 17:53SPEAKER_01: What do I do?
- 17:53SPEAKER_00: I don't know either.
- 17:54SPEAKER_01: I gotta talk to my husband.
- 17:55SPEAKER_01: He knows this stuff.
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah, exactly.
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: Somebody besides us has to be the one that's responsible.
- 17:59SPEAKER_01: Because like I think maybe like I love how we're like you said, we're just like talking about but yeah, anyway, I'll I'll talk to him.
- 18:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because we're making zero.
- 18:07SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, the good news is we have 1900 subscribers on YouTube.
- 18:10SPEAKER_00: We're almost at 2000.
- 18:12SPEAKER_00: That's amazing.
- 18:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that is amazing.
- 18:14SPEAKER_00: Okay, so you know what I would love to do also, um, because one of you know, one of my favorite things in life is to like disassociate from reality.
- 18:20SPEAKER_00: Like, I love it.
- 18:20SPEAKER_00: It's really we all need that sometimes.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so I need show recommendations.
- 18:25SPEAKER_00: Severance.
- 18:26SPEAKER_00: I mean, yes, no, I need like from the audience.
- 18:31SPEAKER_00: Like show recommendations.
- 18:32SPEAKER_01: Oh, I thought you wanted me to watch something.
- 18:33SPEAKER_00: Okay, no, no, no, for us to watch together or for us to watch with you guys.
- 18:38SPEAKER_01: Wait, I'm confused.
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: You want them to give you I want them to give us a show that you and I can watch together, right?
- 18:45SPEAKER_00: And then we can talk about it.
- 18:47SPEAKER_00: I don't know how to watch TV, guys.
- 18:48SPEAKER_00: Like, why are you why are you like you fast forward half?
- 18:52SPEAKER_01: Why are you putting me out like that?
- 18:54SPEAKER_01: Well, because like you say that like you can't even like I can't, guys.
- 18:57SPEAKER_00: I have like I do not have the ability to watch.
- 19:01SPEAKER_01: He's like, he'll be watching something.
- 19:02SPEAKER_01: I'm like, you already done.
- 19:03SPEAKER_01: He's like, yeah, I fast forward half.
- 19:04SPEAKER_01: I'm like, what are you doing?
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: You know, sometimes there's those scenes when people are like looking at each other and I'm like, forward.
- 19:11SPEAKER_01: That's literally him.
- 19:12SPEAKER_01: Whenever it gets like emotional, I'm like, fuck it, I know what's happening.
- 19:15SPEAKER_01: I'm like, me too.
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: Or like, you know, somebody is just like like two people, they're just like running towards each other and they're like this.
- 19:22SPEAKER_00: I'm like, fast forward.
- 19:23SPEAKER_01: Dude, he's horrendous with it.
- 19:24SPEAKER_01: I was like, I'll come in, I'm like, oh, what episode are you on?
- 19:27SPEAKER_01: He's like uh episode 13.
- 19:28SPEAKER_01: I'm like, didn't you just start watching two days ago?
- 19:30SPEAKER_00: So so uh uh two days ago, I was sitting downstairs watching TV with Mahmoud.
- 19:35SPEAKER_00: Well, he was watching TV and I was, you know, in the background, existing, as I like to say.
- 19:39SPEAKER_00: And so I was like, oh, what are you watching?
- 19:41SPEAKER_00: And he goes, Oh, it's this um Portuguese show.
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: I think it's Portuguese, I'm not sure.
- 19:45SPEAKER_00: Oh no, Argentinian, Argentinian show.
- 19:46SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 19:47SPEAKER_00: Called uh the Etternaut, right?
- 19:49SPEAKER_00: Is it on Netflix?
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: It's on Netflix, right?
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: Okay, and so I was like, is it snowing?
- 19:53SPEAKER_00: What's happening?
- 19:53SPEAKER_00: And he goes, No, it's like some alien apocalypse, blah, blah, blah, whatever.
- 19:57SPEAKER_00: It's like a sci-fi thriller.
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: Our life and our world is already shit.
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna watch something like that.
- 20:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so no, it's fine.
- 20:01SPEAKER_00: And so here he's watching, and so I he sees me looking at on my phone.
- 20:05SPEAKER_00: He goes, Are you reading the synopsis?
- 20:07SPEAKER_00: I'm like, yes.
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 20:10SPEAKER_01: No, I can't.
- 20:11SPEAKER_01: I need to know what to expect.
- 20:12SPEAKER_01: I think you and Amjad are the exact same when it comes to this stuff.
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: Like, he I do love watching stuff on TikTok though.
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: Let me tell you.
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because it's short.
- 20:20SPEAKER_00: I'm obsessed with um Allah.
- 20:24SPEAKER_00: So sorry about that.
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: I I can watch like 62 parts of like a series on TikTok.
- 20:28SPEAKER_00: Like, not a show, but like, you know, when somebody is retelling a story.
- 20:32SPEAKER_01: Uh thing that's happening, what's her name?
- 20:34SPEAKER_01: Uh Lena and uh Najah bin Hamad.
- 20:37SPEAKER_01: No, no, no.
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: Oh god.
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: No, I have, but I I will say that I've been there's these people, I don't even know who they are.
- 20:44SPEAKER_00: I don't know anything about them, but it's this guy whose name I can't remember remember, and this woman named I think her name is Mimi, Mimi Nguyen.
- 20:51SPEAKER_00: Okay, and like she told him that she needed a sperm donor, and then she had a baby, and then she told him she wants me to be the baby.
- 20:58SPEAKER_01: Is this a real thing that happened?
- 21:00SPEAKER_00: Yes, and now he's just like doing like play by play on TikTok, and it's amazing.
- 21:05SPEAKER_00: Like it could be a documentary on Netflix.
- 21:08SPEAKER_00: So that that has been really great.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: I've also been Yeah, you can't watch actual TV shows, can't you?
- 21:13SPEAKER_00: I can't.
- 21:13SPEAKER_00: No, I can't.
- 21:14SPEAKER_01: It's so why are you asking the audience?
- 21:16SPEAKER_01: I don't know why.
- 21:16SPEAKER_01: Maybe you don't lie to them.
- 21:18SPEAKER_01: Maybe they're gonna give me something to watch.
- 21:19SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 21:20SPEAKER_01: I mean, even when I saw the Netflix one with um the hell's it called?
- 21:25SPEAKER_01: About some guy who decides he wants to divorce his wife after 25 years.
- 21:29SPEAKER_00: Oh, I want to watch that.
- 21:30SPEAKER_00: What's it?
- 21:31SPEAKER_00: The four seasons.
- 21:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah, four seasons are good.
- 21:33SPEAKER_00: Okay, I want to watch that.
- 21:34SPEAKER_00: It's on my watch list.
- 21:34SPEAKER_00: I don't think I want to watch it together.
- 21:36SPEAKER_00: It's good.
- 21:36SPEAKER_01: And it's short episodes.
- 21:37SPEAKER_01: Okay, they go by fast.
- 21:38SPEAKER_00: So it's great for my attention span.
- 21:40SPEAKER_01: It's perfect.
- 21:40SPEAKER_01: You can finish it.
- 21:41SPEAKER_00: You know, I feel like Yeah, I feel like I need to um, like my my lack of like my attention span or whatever.
- 21:48SPEAKER_00: I I don't know.
- 21:49SPEAKER_00: I don't know what I can focus on work.
- 21:51SPEAKER_00: Like when I have tasks and stuff.
- 21:52SPEAKER_01: Because you're gonna get paid for it.
- 21:54SPEAKER_00: That's why.
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: I watch I watched the Ramadan shows, the Airbag series, but I also think it's because it's like part of like Ramadan.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: No, I didn't watch any Ramadan, you know.
- 22:02SPEAKER_01: I didn't.
- 22:03SPEAKER_01: I don't know, man.
- 22:04SPEAKER_00: And then also like middle like Air Arabic shows, they like really draw out.
- 22:09SPEAKER_01: And I'm just like, no, the one I told you we we were watching together.
- 22:14SPEAKER_01: Like the last time I'm just like, why?
- 22:15SPEAKER_01: Why am I stressing?
- 22:16SPEAKER_01: Why am I putting my box?
- 22:18SPEAKER_01: What box?
- 22:18SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, the box.
- 22:19SPEAKER_01: No, like the first two seasons.
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: So like we watched, we were we were watching the Syrian show called Harat al Harat al-Kubba, right?
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: Haratul Ubba.
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: So you didn't see season three, did you?
- 22:27SPEAKER_00: Heck, yeah.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: It's a good thing.
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: You you spared yourself.
- 22:30SPEAKER_00: So it the entirety of season one, okay?
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: Lita and I, and it was actually really well done.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: Lita and I are going, uh what one of the actresses in there, Salafa Mamad, is like pretty bomb.
- 22:39SPEAKER_00: She's a really good Syrian actress.
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: There's a box, and the entire season, we're trying to figure out what the heck is in that box.
- 22:46SPEAKER_01: And I and I saw this before you, and then Hanan every night.
- 22:49SPEAKER_01: Can you just tell me what's in the box?
- 22:50SPEAKER_00: Can you just tell me what's in the box?
- 22:52SPEAKER_00: No.
- 22:52SPEAKER_00: I need to know what's in the box.
- 22:53SPEAKER_00: No, worst part is at the end of season one, you didn't even find out what's in the box.
- 22:57SPEAKER_01: You don't find that until season two.
- 22:58SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 22:58SPEAKER_01: But the problem, the problem with that show is what was in the box, do you remember?
- 23:02SPEAKER_01: It was like um a a like a I think he's a grandfather.
- 23:07SPEAKER_01: Something like that.
- 23:08SPEAKER_01: Well, anyway, the point is season three was so depressing.
- 23:10SPEAKER_01: I'm like, and I'm like stressing out, like I'm getting heart palpitations watching.
- 23:13SPEAKER_01: Like, no, thank you.
- 23:14SPEAKER_01: And I'm just like, what am I doing?
- 23:15SPEAKER_01: I'm like, no, I'm done.
- 23:16SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm not doing this anymore.
- 23:18SPEAKER_01: Like, if I want to watch something, I want to watch something funny.
- 23:20SPEAKER_01: Because, like you said, I have to disconnect.
- 23:22SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 23:23SPEAKER_01: And like, because the world sucks.
- 23:25SPEAKER_00: So this is the kind of shows that I don't like.
- 23:26SPEAKER_00: That's why I wanted to watch four seasons.
- 23:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's a good show.
- 23:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it has it has pretty good reviews.
- 23:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, it's good.
- 23:31SPEAKER_00: So I wanted to watch that.
- 23:32SPEAKER_00: I'm trying to think of anything else that I've watched.
- 23:34SPEAKER_01: But you know, you mentioned that Mo is doing season three.
- 23:38SPEAKER_01: I didn't see anything about that on on Reddit.
- 23:40SPEAKER_01: I mean, that's what I heard.
- 23:41SPEAKER_01: That's that's that's what they're saying on Reddit.
- 23:44SPEAKER_01: Okay, Reddit did no.
- 23:45SPEAKER_01: No.
- 23:46SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 23:46SPEAKER_01: I don't think so.
- 23:47SPEAKER_01: Because I when you told me that, I was so excited about Clinton.
- 23:50SPEAKER_01: Because season was fairly certain season two was so like it was final.
- 23:55SPEAKER_01: Like the way he ended season two.
- 23:57SPEAKER_01: It was.
- 23:57SPEAKER_01: I agree.
- 23:57SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't I don't think he's doing a season because I I couldn't find it anywhere that he's working on season three.
- 24:05SPEAKER_01: Hold on.
- 24:06SPEAKER_01: I mean, that would be cool, but it would be really cool.
- 24:08SPEAKER_01: Did you see Rami's new um animated special, like uh show on Prime Video?
- 24:14SPEAKER_00: Oh, it was a discussion, but no, they said no, there's not gonna be a third special.
- 24:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's what I thought.
- 24:19SPEAKER_01: That's what I thought.
- 24:20SPEAKER_01: Oh, that makes me really sick.
- 24:21SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 24:23SPEAKER_01: Did you see Rami's animated?
- 24:25SPEAKER_00: No, I haven't yet.
- 24:26SPEAKER_00: It's interesting.
- 24:26SPEAKER_01: It's interesting.
- 24:27SPEAKER_01: I saw one like it's not for us.
- 24:29SPEAKER_01: I feel like I feel like it's for like non-aud of non-Muslim people.
- 24:33SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's funny.
- 24:34SPEAKER_01: You can check it out.
- 24:35SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 24:36SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's not bad.
- 24:38SPEAKER_01: Check it out.
- 24:39SPEAKER_01: I just stopped watching it.
- 24:40SPEAKER_00: Now I'm like, um, but now I'm wondering like why um why why Mohammed rescheduled his DC show then?
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 24:48SPEAKER_01: Maybe he had stuff going on.
- 24:49SPEAKER_00: Maybe he's doing a movie or something.
- 24:50SPEAKER_00: Maybe, yeah.
- 24:52SPEAKER_01: Maybe.
- 24:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I found out I found out from the app and I was like, what?
- 24:55SPEAKER_01: No, I don't know.
- 24:56SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 24:56SPEAKER_00: Because Lena and I have what?
- 24:58SPEAKER_01: Tickets.
- 24:59SPEAKER_00: Front row tickets.
- 25:00SPEAKER_00: Yes, yes.
- 25:01SPEAKER_00: I'm very excited about that.
- 25:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 25:02SPEAKER_01: Um it's in August.
- 25:04SPEAKER_01: It's in August, yeah.
- 25:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's fine.
- 25:06SPEAKER_00: That works.
- 25:06SPEAKER_00: Are you going anywhere this summer?
- 25:08SPEAKER_01: Um, probably the week of the 4th of July.
- 25:10SPEAKER_00: I haven't decided where where yet, but my sister and I will do something, like with the families and stuff when the kids okay.
- 25:15SPEAKER_00: That's fine because I feel like our kids are privileged.
- 25:17SPEAKER_00: You feel like?
- 25:18SPEAKER_00: No, they are.
- 25:19SPEAKER_01: Like, I was asking them, oh, like I want to do something small, like not too far.
- 25:23SPEAKER_01: You're like, oh, let's go for your tour in Portugal.
- 25:25SPEAKER_01: No, because like I want I really want to like, you know, do some renovations around the house and I want to take my time off to do that.
- 25:32SPEAKER_01: And I was telling them, like, let's do something like that.
- 25:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah, kids don't understand that, like, no, no, renovation.
- 25:36SPEAKER_00: No, it's like the complete opposite of what you're thinking.
- 25:38SPEAKER_00: It's the complete opposite of what you're thinking.
- 25:40SPEAKER_00: No, no, what I'm saying is kids don't kids don't understand that sometimes you need time off to be in the house to do things in the house and be around and present for the things in the house.
- 25:49SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't want to work while somebody's in here banging and replacing stuff and doing things and yeah, yeah.
- 25:55SPEAKER_01: So I was like, let's do something small for a couple days.
- 25:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 25:57SPEAKER_01: You know, we can do like a weekend in New York, we can get away, or like we can do a beach trip, like whatever.
- 26:02SPEAKER_01: Just for a few days.
- 26:03SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't wanna like, you know, whatever.
- 26:05SPEAKER_01: And and then and Baddie's like my son.
- 26:07SPEAKER_01: He was like, uh, oh no, I would never do New York in the summertime.
- 26:11SPEAKER_01: It has to be during Christmas time.
- 26:12SPEAKER_01: And I'm just like, you wouldn't find me dead in New York during the summer.
- 26:16SPEAKER_00: It's so cold.
- 26:16SPEAKER_00: It's so cold.
- 26:17SPEAKER_01: First of all, it's so cold.
- 26:18SPEAKER_01: Second of all, there's too many people.
- 26:20SPEAKER_01: I mean, already in New York, like I get.
- 26:22SPEAKER_01: But actually, it's it's just as busy during the summer.
- 26:24SPEAKER_01: I know, I know, but I know me personally, I can't handle the cold.
- 26:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 26:27SPEAKER_01: I I just can't.
- 26:28SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't want to be there.
- 26:28SPEAKER_00: I know, but you're gonna be there in the death hot of summer.
- 26:31SPEAKER_01: I'll take that any day over the cold.
- 26:33SPEAKER_00: If you're gonna say that, but no.
- 26:34SPEAKER_01: Anyway, the point is like they're like, no, no, no.
- 26:36SPEAKER_01: If this is what he says, like, if I'm not going in the winter, then there's no need.
- 26:39SPEAKER_01: I'm like, okay, fine.
- 26:41SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 26:41SPEAKER_01: And then I'm like, do you guys want to do a beach trip?
- 26:43SPEAKER_01: And they're like, uh, he, you know, he says, he's like, you know, actually, mama, I think I'm just I want to just chill.
- 26:47SPEAKER_01: Can we not do anything?
- 26:48SPEAKER_01: Because like we did a lot last year, and I'm just like, bye.
- 26:54SPEAKER_01: So I was like, you know what?
- 26:55SPEAKER_01: You do your thing, you and your dad can hang out at home, and me and my daughter will go somewhere.
- 27:01SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 27:01SPEAKER_01: I'm like, it's not like I was like, oh, can we do California again?
- 27:04SPEAKER_01: I'm like, no.
- 27:05SPEAKER_01: No, I'm like, that was too much money.
- 27:07SPEAKER_01: Girl has big dreams.
- 27:08SPEAKER_01: No, I'm like, no, maybe in a couple years, yeah.
- 27:10SPEAKER_00: Girl got big dreams.
- 27:11SPEAKER_00: But I'm just like that.
- 27:12SPEAKER_00: I mean, honestly, I appreciate her.
- 27:13SPEAKER_00: She's like, you don't know if you don't ask.
- 27:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 27:16SPEAKER_01: No, I I don't mind, but I'm like, I really need to take the time off to do the stuff around.
- 27:20SPEAKER_00: Guys, I also gotta tell you something, like completely just separate from what you're saying.
- 27:24SPEAKER_00: Lena comes over here, so she has to leave her house for us to do this.
- 27:27SPEAKER_00: I literally just put on a shirt and I'm always in some sort of really wacky sweatpants or pants at the bottom or something like that.
- 27:35SPEAKER_00: And so every time I'm like, if you guys catch a glimpse out of my camera, it's me and my weird sweatpants.
- 27:39SPEAKER_01: It's an eye, we're almost done with the episode.
- 27:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we should do a whole series on the weird things I wear at the bottom when we record.
- 27:46SPEAKER_01: Time out, time out, time out.
- 27:47SPEAKER_01: What the hell is on your nails?
- 27:48SPEAKER_00: Oh, it's like a little fidget thing, so I can like mess with it.
- 27:51SPEAKER_00: What?
- 27:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 27:54SPEAKER_00: Are you s yeah?
- 27:56SPEAKER_00: Who who came up with this idea?
- 27:57SPEAKER_00: Me.
- 27:58SPEAKER_00: And my nail lady.
- 28:01SPEAKER_00: It's my nails.
- 28:02SPEAKER_00: There's one here, too.
- 28:04SPEAKER_00: So what do you do with this thing?
- 28:05SPEAKER_00: Nothing.
- 28:05SPEAKER_00: You just mess with it.
- 28:06SPEAKER_00: Like I just do this a lot.
- 28:11SPEAKER_00: And this is an eight ball.
- 28:12SPEAKER_00: And this are cherries.
- 28:14SPEAKER_01: We gotta take a picture of the of the nails.
- 28:16SPEAKER_00: She's just talking about this little tiny bubble that I have on my nail.
- 28:19SPEAKER_00: Okay, you just do this.
- 28:22SPEAKER_01: You definitely have A D D or A D H D or something.
- 28:28SPEAKER_01: I think you need to um try to.
- 28:30SPEAKER_01: I mean it's fine.
- 28:34SPEAKER_01: It's fine.
- 28:34SPEAKER_01: Of course it's fine.
- 28:35SPEAKER_00: That's what I'm just saying.
- 28:36SPEAKER_00: Like, like you need to play with that.
- 28:37SPEAKER_00: Like, that's so- No, I mean, I don't always have these.
- 28:40SPEAKER_00: I just thought it was a fun idea.
- 28:41SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 28:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but I just thought it was cool.
- 28:43SPEAKER_00: Are you trying to create a trend?
- 28:45SPEAKER_00: I mean, I feel like I'm pretty trendy.
- 28:46SPEAKER_00: You are trendy, but like I've never seen this before.
- 28:48SPEAKER_01: That's why I was just a little.
- 28:49SPEAKER_00: Oh, you I mean, do you what is clearly your nail algorithm is lacking?
- 28:54SPEAKER_01: That's true, because I don't like these are my nails.
- 28:57SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 28:58unknown: These are my nails.
- 28:59SPEAKER_00: There's a crazy.
- 29:00SPEAKER_01: Like, I have the nails that Allah gave me.
- 29:02SPEAKER_01: This is like but these are my nails too.
- 29:04SPEAKER_01: I know, I know, but they're just colored.
- 29:06SPEAKER_01: See, for me, like they're just I don't, I feel like those kind of keep me, they hold me back from doing certain things.
- 29:11SPEAKER_01: Like earlier today, you're like, Lena, can you change the battery on this thing?
- 29:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 29:16SPEAKER_01: Okay, on your mouse.
- 29:17SPEAKER_01: She couldn't take out the battery because.
- 29:19SPEAKER_00: But honestly, at the same time, I feel like that's work for the peasants.
- 29:22SPEAKER_00: Like, it's fine.
- 29:23SPEAKER_00: I'm good.
- 29:24SPEAKER_01: Are you calling me a peasant?
- 29:26SPEAKER_01: You called me limited.
- 29:29SPEAKER_01: What?
- 29:29SPEAKER_01: I just say you're limited.
- 29:30SPEAKER_01: I think it makes you limited.
- 29:32SPEAKER_01: And that's that's that you can't move.
- 29:34SPEAKER_01: You can't use them.
- 29:35SPEAKER_01: They're not functional.
- 29:41SPEAKER_01: I'm a rod for laughter.
- 29:44SPEAKER_01: It's a bit.
- 29:49SPEAKER_01: That's what happens.
- 29:50SPEAKER_01: She called me limited.
- 29:50SPEAKER_01: She started it.
- 29:51SPEAKER_01: I call you limited.
- 29:52SPEAKER_01: I said it makes you limited.
- 29:58SPEAKER_01: Whatever.
- 29:59SPEAKER_01: We have got we gotta take a picture of those.
- 30:01SPEAKER_00: I think they're pretty great.
- 30:02SPEAKER_01: They're all right.
- 30:03SPEAKER_01: They're not my favorite.
- 30:04SPEAKER_00: I've seen better.
- 30:05SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's your opinion.
- 30:07SPEAKER_00: I've gotten so many compliments on them, okay?
- 30:10SPEAKER_00: On Instagram and IRL, as I like to say.
- 30:12SPEAKER_00: I like them.
- 30:14SPEAKER_00: I guess.
- 30:15SPEAKER_00: She's just mad because she has to take out the battery in my mouth.
- 30:17SPEAKER_01: I'm not, I'm not mad.
- 30:18SPEAKER_01: I just, you know, I like the way my nails are.
- 30:21SPEAKER_01: And you know what?
- 30:21SPEAKER_00: This has been such a great episode from Limited and Peasant.
- 30:24SPEAKER_00: We'll see you guys in the next one.
- 30:26SPEAKER_00: I O M.
