- 0:46Sean McAllister: It's so cool, and it's not too far from the strip either.
- 0:49Sean McAllister: EDC rolled into town with the music pumping.
- 0:52Sean McAllister: Still in my head, there's a new 3D billboard you might want to drive or walk by to.
- 0:58Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's really cool.
- 0:59Dayna Roselli: And the celebs were out in full force on the Las Vegas strip.
- 1:03Dayna Roselli: Details coming up.
- 1:04Sean McAllister: Let's get to it now on Vegas Revealed.
- 1:08Sean McAllister: Welcome to Vegas Revealed, episode 321.
- 1:11Sean McAllister: Sean McAllister and Dana Roselli here with you.
- 1:14Sean McAllister: And Dana, have you gotten that EDC music out of your head yet?
- 1:19Dayna Roselli: Well, yeah, it's been replaced by helicopter noise because um EDC happened up at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, which is a ways up there.
- 1:29Dayna Roselli: What do you say, like 25-minute drive?
- 1:31Sean McAllister: Uh yeah, 20-25 strike.
- 1:33Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 1:34Dayna Roselli: So everyone heads up there at night.
- 1:36Dayna Roselli: A lot of people take helicopters.
- 1:38Dayna Roselli: And in order to bring all those folks back, because it ends at like, I don't even know, five in the morning, there were a lot of helicopter rides going by my bedroom because I live in a high-rise um all night long.
- 1:53Dayna Roselli: Saturday, Sunday.
- 1:56Dayna Roselli: I kind of thought Sunday wouldn't be as busy because of the high winds, but people were still out there.
- 2:03Dayna Roselli: Um, then there was the EDC 30th anniversary parade on the strip Thursday?
- 2:09Sean McAllister: Uh it was.
- 2:09Sean McAllister: It was Thursday, yes.
- 2:11Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 2:11Dayna Roselli: And that was a whole thing.
- 2:13Dayna Roselli: And that started kind of early, 6.
- 2:16Dayna Roselli: It was supposed to go to like 8, 8:30 or something like that.
- 2:20Dayna Roselli: But it was then they moved to the festival grounds and that was going to like midnight.
- 2:24Sean McAllister: Yeah, they had those uh big art cars that you would see uh like Burning Man and EDC at these festivals, and they did a parade down a portion of the Las Vegas Strip and then went to the festival grounds right there at Sahara and Las Vegas Boulevard.
- 2:40Sean McAllister: And let me tell you, when the strip shuts down, even just for a few blocks for a parade like this, it causes a big headache on all the streets in the surrounding area.
- 2:54Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I mean, not to sound like this is gonna be my third complaint, but there were a lot of beeping horns.
- 3:01Dayna Roselli: And here's the deal everyone getting pushed over to paradise.
- 3:04Dayna Roselli: It was all clogged.
- 3:05Dayna Roselli: I live right along paradise.
- 3:07Dayna Roselli: And first of all, I think beeping is a waste of time.
- 3:11Dayna Roselli: So I don't condone the beeping.
- 3:12Dayna Roselli: You're not getting anywhere.
- 3:14Dayna Roselli: You're all stuck in gridlock.
- 3:16Dayna Roselli: But um when I was looking at the bumper to bumper traffic, I was thinking, you know, like we're in the no, right?
- 3:22Dayna Roselli: And I live in a high rise, they put out notices.
- 3:25Dayna Roselli: I knew there was gonna be a parade, I knew Sahara and Las Vegas Boulevard was gonna be closed.
- 3:29Dayna Roselli: There's you know, local news, newspapers, but everyone doesn't see it.
- 3:34Dayna Roselli: So I did feel bad for all those people during five o'clock, six o'clock traffic getting pushed away and down and down.
- 3:42Dayna Roselli: I thought, what this is really kind of a cluster.
- 3:45Sean McAllister: Well, and I I was not stuck in this specific traffic situation, but there was a similar one that happened uh the end of last year surrounding the SEMA show, which is a big auto uh convention, and a lot of the uh people who attend, you know, bring their souped-up vehicles with a ton of different uh add-ons.
- 4:09Sean McAllister: You know, some bounce up and down, some are like giant monster trucks with tires the size of you know two grown men tall, and they're just driving down the down the road, and they create their own parade.
- 4:23Sean McAllister: And we got stuck in that traffic as we were trying to just go to dinner.
- 4:27Sean McAllister: And I didn't know that people were gonna be uh filtering out of the convention center, and we ended up missing dinner, and it was a very high anxiety-inducing uh situation to be down in it.
- 4:45Sean McAllister: Yeah, because as you're seeing, people were beeping their horns, especially with the cars, they were like reving the engines and cars were hopping, and a lot of exhausting.
- 4:53Sean McAllister: And you're literally just stuck there.
- 4:55Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 4:56Dayna Roselli: It's it is a I know.
- 4:57Dayna Roselli: I felt for everyone on paradise.
- 4:59Dayna Roselli: And this went on till like 10 p.m., by the way.
- 5:02Dayna Roselli: I mean, obviously it was busier during the you know, prime driving times, but I know I was thinking of that, and I was thankfully, I knew, so I planned my whole I'm like, okay, tonight I'll do a walk instead of go to the gym, drive to this place I usually drive because I won't be able to get back in.
- 5:18Dayna Roselli: But I felt for people who didn't know it was happening.
- 5:21Dayna Roselli: So, um, but you know what?
- 5:23Dayna Roselli: It looks like the EDC parade was quite a show.
- 5:25Sean McAllister: Oh, yeah.
- 5:26Dayna Roselli: And people out there on the strip really enjoyed it, and they moved, they did the festival grounds, they had a big Ferris wheel up and beautiful colored lights, and the music was pumping till close to midnight.
- 5:37Sean McAllister: It was EDC brings the party to town.
- 5:40Dayna Roselli: It does, but it does look like people really enjoyed EDC and the set.
- 5:43Dayna Roselli: We had talked about it in the past, the list of DJs.
- 5:45Dayna Roselli: I mean, there are hundreds and I feel like hundreds and hundreds, and you know, the the rundown was really good, the lineup, I should say.
- 5:52Sean McAllister: And in conjunction with uh EDC weekend, Omnia Day Club also opened at Caesars Palace, and we're gonna have more on that coming up in our celebrity news with a Vegas twist.
- 6:04Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that was a good one.
- 6:05Dayna Roselli: Um, I did get to see the 40th anniversary top gun movie in a theater on Sunday.
- 6:13Dayna Roselli: I was super excited.
- 6:15Dayna Roselli: You know, they released it for one week only, and I've never seen the original in a theater because I was like 10 years old.
- 6:21Dayna Roselli: It was amazing.
- 6:22Dayna Roselli: I like cried through the whole thing.
- 6:23Dayna Roselli: I don't know if you're supposed to cry, but I was emotional.
- 6:26Sean McAllister: Of course you're supposed to cry.
- 6:27Sean McAllister: There's sad parts in there.
- 6:29Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh, it was emotional.
- 6:30Dayna Roselli: I bet really loved seeing it in the theater.
- 6:33Dayna Roselli: But it did make me uh think.
- 6:35Dayna Roselli: I went to the palms and I don't know if I've been there in a while.
- 6:38Dayna Roselli: It's so funny.
- 6:39Dayna Roselli: Whenever I walk into the palms, the smell of the palms just brings back the old days.
- 6:42Dayna Roselli: Um, but walked in the movie theater, and I must say the reclining seats are really, really nice, very organized there.
- 6:48Dayna Roselli: But I did go see Devil Wears Prada 2 at Red Rock uh recently.
- 6:53Dayna Roselli: And I have never been in the Red Rock Theater since they redid it all.
- 6:58Dayna Roselli: It's gorgeous.
- 6:59Sean McAllister: Is it?
- 7:00Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 7:00Dayna Roselli: You walk in now and you just walk in.
- 7:03Dayna Roselli: Um, and then they have a bar you can order from.
- 7:06Dayna Roselli: They have, you know, normal popcorn candy and all that.
- 7:09Dayna Roselli: And you obviously buy your ticket online before, but the seats there too, so just comfortable and spacious.
- 7:18Dayna Roselli: It's really nice at the Red Rock Theater.
- 7:20Dayna Roselli: They really did a good job on the redo.
- 7:21Sean McAllister: You know what else is great about the Red Rock Theater is they have a private suite also.
- 7:27Sean McAllister: I I haven't been to them and I went a long time ago with some friends, and it's like a private box with like a glass window, and you're sitting up above everybody at the back of the theater with your own section.
- 7:42Sean McAllister: You have your own popcorn counter.
- 7:44Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's I think they it's great.
- 7:46Dayna Roselli: I've seen a lot of kids' birthday parties like there.
- 7:48Dayna Roselli: Like when I walk by, parents are you know pulling in with the balloons and all that kind of stuff.
- 7:53Sean McAllister: So well, that's a good way to do it because then if you have a bunch of kids, they're up in the box and kind of walled off from the rest of the theater.
- 8:01Dayna Roselli: Not bothering everyone else.
- 8:03Dayna Roselli: Yeah, we have some some great stuff, but and you know, things are always being updated.
- 8:08Dayna Roselli: So wanted to point that out.
- 8:09Dayna Roselli: I hadn't been in a while, but you know how you used to have to like give your ticket right before you walked in.
- 8:14Dayna Roselli: Yeah, they're all doing this kind of open lobby now where you only do it when you're gonna walk down the hallway of theaters.
- 8:20Sean McAllister: Oh, exactly.
- 8:20Sean McAllister: Right.
- 8:21Sean McAllister: Yep.
- 8:21Dayna Roselli: So I like I like that.
- 8:23Dayna Roselli: Um, some place we went recently that we haven't discussed here on the podcast is the Infinity Museum.
- 8:28Dayna Roselli: And this is actually on Maryland Parkway.
- 8:30Dayna Roselli: Um, it's kind of attached to the Boulevard Mall, which is one of our very old and original malls here in Las Vegas on the east side, but it's not too far from the strip.
- 8:40Dayna Roselli: But when we went, we were like, this place is freaking cool.
- 8:45Sean McAllister: It is so well done.
- 8:47Sean McAllister: I think there's what seven different seven different rooms that you can experience.
- 8:52Sean McAllister: Each of the rooms is big, yeah, by the way.
- 8:55Sean McAllister: There's one that has these uh silver balloon balls that just fill the room, and the walls and ceilings are all mirrored, and that's what gives it its name.
- 9:07Sean McAllister: The Infinity Museum.
- 9:08Sean McAllister: Right.
- 9:08Sean McAllister: Because it looks like every room you go to just keeps going and going and going.
- 9:12SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 9:13Sean McAllister: And so there's uh that, there's a starry night room where there's all these dangly lights and shooting stars across the ceiling.
- 9:21Dayna Roselli: Shooting stars are beautiful, you can stargaze.
- 9:24Dayna Roselli: That was a really pretty room.
- 9:26Sean McAllister: I know that's a really relaxing place to go to.
- 9:29Sean McAllister: If you're at a point in life where just like life stuff is giving you anxiety, this could be a good place to go and just chill out because there's no time limit.
- 9:39Sean McAllister: Yeah, stay as long as you want.
- 9:40Dayna Roselli: I love that.
- 9:41Dayna Roselli: And you can stay for infinity.
- 9:43Sean McAllister: And for infinity.
- 9:43Dayna Roselli: Well, you but they probably kick you out when it closes for the night.
- 9:46Dayna Roselli: But yeah, I did like that.
- 9:47Dayna Roselli: Um, we were talking to the general manager and he pointed that out.
- 9:50Dayna Roselli: It's not like you have one hour to run through all these rooms.
- 9:52Dayna Roselli: You could do whatever.
- 9:53Dayna Roselli: You could go through it once, you could go through it twice, you could hang out in one room.
- 9:56Sean McAllister: And we did see some people in one of the rooms just kind of sitting against the wall and hanging out.
- 10:02Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 10:02Dayna Roselli: And they have the world's largest uh immersive kaleidoscope, and that's uh it ends with that.
- 10:07Dayna Roselli: It's amazing, it's so cool, it's a great spot for pictures.
- 10:12Dayna Roselli: The one room we went into too is where the floor, like you could touch the floor and the water moves, and it's so awesome.
- 10:19Dayna Roselli: And then you went inside that what's it called?
- 10:22Dayna Roselli: I I don't know if I know the oh, the tetrahedron.
- 10:24Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that was cool.
- 10:26Dayna Roselli: And you walk in and you can't see out, but people can see you from the outside.
- 10:33Dayna Roselli: And he the general manager was saying that a lot of people do proposals in there because they'll bring their fiance or well, soon-to-be fiance, in there.
- 10:42Dayna Roselli: The family will come in and the person inside can't see the family waiting and watching the proposal, and then when they come out, all their family's there.
- 10:51Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, what a great idea.
- 10:52Sean McAllister: Because they use the one-way uh mirrored glass.
- 10:56Sean McAllister: Yeah, so uh the mirror portion is on the inside of this giant geometrical uh shape that you step inside of, and that's in and the shape is set up in the middle of this bigger room so you can have people filling in uh around the outside of the room watching what happens inside, and when you are inside, you're just seeing yourself and all of these lights that are in there.
- 11:24Sean McAllister: Go to our Vegas Revealed YouTube channel.
- 11:26Sean McAllister: We've got some uh video footage that's going to be posted there of a story that uh we did at the Infinity Museum.
- 11:33Sean McAllister: It'll give you a good idea of exactly what we're talking about here.
- 11:37Sean McAllister: Um, but it is, it's a really cool thing.
- 11:41Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it is because it's in uh this upcoming weekend show.
- 11:45Dayna Roselli: And it's hard, it is hard to talk about without seeing the visual.
- 11:48Dayna Roselli: So yeah, go to our YouTube.
- 11:49Dayna Roselli: You'll want to see this.
- 11:50Dayna Roselli: It's hard to describe.
- 11:51Dayna Roselli: We were blown away.
- 11:52Dayna Roselli: It's 30 bucks for kids,$40 for adults.
- 11:55Dayna Roselli: Time is unlimited.
- 11:56Dayna Roselli: You can book uh groups and you can book a time if you want and go to infinitymuseum.com.
- 12:02Dayna Roselli: We were very impressed.
- 12:04Dayna Roselli: Uh, you get the pool noodle to walk through the the maze so that you can hit the side because you will think you're gonna go straight and you're not, you're gonna hit a wall.
- 12:11Sean McAllister: So it's a big mirror maze.
- 12:13Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's a lot of fun.
- 12:14Dayna Roselli: It really is.
- 12:15Dayna Roselli: And they have like informational stuff before you walk in that explains each room.
- 12:20Dayna Roselli: Like it's educational too.
- 12:22Dayna Roselli: He was saying a lot of school groups go there.
- 12:24Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 12:24Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 12:25Sean McAllister: And they have a uh kind of a a scavenger hunt, a photo scavenger hunt card that you get on your way in to help you help encourage you to experience each of the rooms to their fullest.
- 12:38Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 12:38Dayna Roselli: And then I think you get a little something at the end.
- 12:40Dayna Roselli: Yeah, get a little bit complete.
- 12:42Dayna Roselli: Um, and also just FYI, I don't wear heels.
- 12:44Dayna Roselli: Uh, you gotta put these uh things around your shoes, um, like little baggy.
- 12:50Dayna Roselli: Yeah, booties.
- 12:51Dayna Roselli: Um, because the floor in a lot of these rooms is, you know, soft or has motion and stuff like that.
- 12:57Dayna Roselli: So I can't think of any other tips.
- 12:59Dayna Roselli: I think that's all you need.
- 13:00Dayna Roselli: That's it.
- 13:01Dayna Roselli: It you'll see it um right out there.
- 13:03Dayna Roselli: It's kind of a silver sparkly sign that says in Infinity Museum.
- 13:07Dayna Roselli: It's cool, and it's the only one in the United States, by the way.
- 13:10Dayna Roselli: There's one in Canada.
- 13:11Sean McAllister: Right.
- 13:11Sean McAllister: And if you do want to uh if you are planning to go, you can get tickets uh online in advance, or if you want to speed up the process, once you go, uh there's a QR code on the outside of the uh building, and you can just scan that, book your tickets on your phone, and then walk in, and then that'll get you going pretty quickly once you get inside.
- 13:32Sean McAllister: Oh, and they do have uh special glasses as part of their VIP package, right?
- 13:38Sean McAllister: And the lenses turn all of the light.
- 13:43Sean McAllister: When you look at light, it turns it into little hearts.
- 13:47Sean McAllister: That was cute.
- 13:48Dayna Roselli: That was cute.
- 13:49Dayna Roselli: I was thinking, I don't know, if I needed them.
- 13:51Dayna Roselli: So that's a little tip for me.
- 13:53Dayna Roselli: I think you're okay without him.
- 13:54Dayna Roselli: But if you want the full experience and you want to see what it's like, that's cool too.
- 13:58Dayna Roselli: And there's other things with the VIP, but yeah, yeah.
- 14:01Dayna Roselli: I felt like I wasn't sure if I loved that, but um just I felt like it was better without the glasses.
- 14:08Dayna Roselli: Does that make sense?
- 14:10Dayna Roselli: But you could throw them on and look at things, and the kids probably love it.
- 14:12Sean McAllister: The kids probably absolutely love it.
- 14:14Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 14:15Dayna Roselli: Um, okay, a bunch of sandwich places that are like taken off, like it like sandwich places are really hot right now.
- 14:20Dayna Roselli: So are burger joints, and so the hat opened off the strip.
- 14:25Dayna Roselli: This is in uh kind of the southwest part of Vegas on Rainbow North of the 215.
- 14:30Dayna Roselli: I had never heard of it before, but the hat restaurant is huge in California.
- 14:34Dayna Roselli: They had a grand opening and they had to put up something on Instagram that said we can't take any more people.
- 14:40Dayna Roselli: That's how long the line was for people to get in and try.
- 14:43Dayna Roselli: And they are known for their world-famous pastrami sandwiches.
- 14:46Sean McAllister: I am a sucker for a good pastrami sandwich.
- 14:49Dayna Roselli: And I was looking around their uh Instagram and they do like the regular straight-up pastrami.
- 14:54Dayna Roselli: They do uh pastrami grilled cheese.
- 14:56Sean McAllister: Oh my god.
- 14:57Sean McAllister: No, right.
- 14:58Sean McAllister: Wow, are you kidding me?
- 14:59Dayna Roselli: It looks so delicious.
- 15:01Dayna Roselli: Oh, they do pastrami covered fries, they have all sorts of different things going on there.
- 15:08Dayna Roselli: And very, very popular.
- 15:10Dayna Roselli: And this is the first Las Vegas location.
- 15:12Dayna Roselli: So, really, this is their first location outside of California.
- 15:15Sean McAllister: What a great situation for them to have so many people show up to the opening that they have to say, sorry, we can't take any more.
- 15:23Dayna Roselli: Yeah, because I don't know if they had a special going on or something that people were, but yeah, I know what a great opening, right?
- 15:29Dayna Roselli: And you're not even on the strip, you're off the strip.
- 15:31Dayna Roselli: So that's really good because you're getting the locals.
- 15:34Sean McAllister: Welcome to town, the hat.
- 15:36Dayna Roselli: And then Redhead Burger is now open at the Grand Canal Shops.
- 15:40Dayna Roselli: And uh, this is actually owned by two redheaded brothers who are also burger enthusiasts.
- 15:46Dayna Roselli: They didn't open it too long ago, 2019.
- 15:49Dayna Roselli: Uh, they're located in Miami's uh South Beach, right there on Ocean Drive, and this is the first West Coast location.
- 15:56Dayna Roselli: And so uh they serve up smash burgers, which are really hot right now, the fresh cut fries, the tater tots, milkshades, and more.
- 16:02Dayna Roselli: If you want to try them out at the Grand Canal shops.
- 16:05Dayna Roselli: Um, yeah, what is the deal with the smash?
- 16:07Dayna Roselli: I've never really invested in what's the difference between a burger and a smash burger.
- 16:11Sean McAllister: Well, the smash burger is like when you uh literally smash it down on the uh cooktop.
- 16:18Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 16:18Sean McAllister: Um, it's not like a charbroiled burger that's done on a grill grate.
- 16:24Sean McAllister: It's on a flat top cook surface.
- 16:26Sean McAllister: So when you smash the burger, it gets like a crispy, it gets almost a crispy coating.
- 16:33Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 16:34Sean McAllister: On the outside.
- 16:34Dayna Roselli: See, and I'm one of those people that like just hand me a burger and I'm gonna go to the bottom.
- 16:37Sean McAllister: Like a good juicy burger.
- 16:39Dayna Roselli: No, both.
- 16:39Dayna Roselli: Like, I'm like, it tastes good to me.
- 16:41Dayna Roselli: So I don't know if it's smashed or unsmashed.
- 16:44Sean McAllister: Smash burgers are good, it just brings another uh texture to the burger experience, I think.
- 16:50Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 16:51Sean McAllister: And uh we have even more burgers uh to talk about.
- 16:55Sean McAllister: Uh, a new place downtown is called N A D C Burger, which stands for not a damn chance burger.
- 17:02Sean McAllister: They just opened their first permanent Las Vegas location at the corner of Sixth Street and Carson.
- 17:10Dayna Roselli: And you know, this burger is amazing.
- 17:12Dayna Roselli: It actually went viral.
- 17:13Dayna Roselli: It's a Waigu burger.
- 17:15Dayna Roselli: That's and they sell one burger.
- 17:16Dayna Roselli: Like that's the kind that they sell.
- 17:18Dayna Roselli: And they really want everyone to know it's not a smash burger.
- 17:21Sean McAllister: Right.
- 17:22Dayna Roselli: Um, it's different.
- 17:24Dayna Roselli: We had them.
- 17:25Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh, amazing.
- 17:27Dayna Roselli: Um, but before we get into all that, um, we did get to speak with um professional skateboarder Nean Williams, who's the co-founder.
- 17:35Dayna Roselli: He opened this and discovered this with Michelin starred chef Philip Franklin Lee.
- 17:41Dayna Roselli: And we had a chance to go over uh for the soft opening and talk with Neen one-on-one.
- 17:45Dayna Roselli: So let's listen to that.
- 17:48SPEAKER_03: It all started just me and Philip, just two dads making burgers in the backyard and doing pop-ups around Austin, Texas, and then everything just kind of blew up from there.
- 18:00SPEAKER_03: We did a couple pop-ups with Resorts World, um, and then we came back, they wanted us back, and we did a three-month little stay, um, which is really cool, and we had a really awesome turnout.
- 18:10SPEAKER_03: So, from that pop-up, that last pop-up, we were kind of looking for a permanent spot out here in Vegas, and we finally found it and we're stoked to be there.
- 18:20SPEAKER_03: The burger is um very intentionally built.
- 18:22SPEAKER_03: When me and Philip created it, we wanted to do one burger but do it the best that we could.
- 18:27SPEAKER_03: So we used 100% Wagyu beef, super flavorful, juicy, moist.
- 18:33SPEAKER_03: Um it's like insane quality beef, right?
- 18:36SPEAKER_03: Then we use 100% real American cheese, so it reminds you of like the singles that you used to have when you were a kid.
- 18:42SPEAKER_03: Um, for me and Philip, that's the type of cheese that needs to be on a burger.
- 18:46SPEAKER_03: So we sought after this real American cheese.
- 18:49SPEAKER_03: We finally got it, so that's what we use on our burgers.
- 18:52SPEAKER_03: My special spice blend is on there to really make the flavors pop.
- 18:56SPEAKER_03: Um, we put a pickle in every bite along with our secret sauce, and then there's four tame pickled jalapenos.
- 19:03SPEAKER_03: So the pickled jalapenos, they're they're they're tamed, so they're not super spicy.
- 19:08SPEAKER_03: You just get the flavor of jalapeno with all that crunch.
- 19:11SPEAKER_03: It's like a perfect balance of flavors, an umami of flavors in every single bite.
- 19:16SPEAKER_03: And if you don't like the way that we build the burger, you can always modify it and take stuff off.
- 19:23SPEAKER_03: I wanted to bring not a damn chance to Vegas to just bring a really cool spot to come hang out, get some drinks, get some really delicious burgers, you know.
- 19:32SPEAKER_03: Um, and then, you know, just come come over, hang out, vibe out.
- 19:36SPEAKER_03: We also do uh tello fried fries as well, which is super good.
- 19:41SPEAKER_03: Um, nice and crispy, kind of mashed potatoes on the inside.
- 19:45SPEAKER_03: You know, I want to bring something cool to the city and you know, join the community and you know, just have a good time doing it.
- 19:52SPEAKER_01: So we are Vegas Revealed, and you know, you have to reveal something.
- 19:55SPEAKER_01: What's in the secret sauce?
- 19:57SPEAKER_01: Can you tell us?
- 19:58SPEAKER_03: Not a damn chance.
- 20:02Sean McAllister: So, Dana, you just said that you love a good burger.
- 20:05Sean McAllister: So, what are your thoughts on the NADC burger?
- 20:08Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it was absolutely delicious.
- 20:10Dayna Roselli: And you know why?
- 20:11Dayna Roselli: I really love the choice of toppings that they that comes on every burger.
- 20:15Dayna Roselli: Like that's just that's my jam.
- 20:17Dayna Roselli: Literally, what he puts on there, what they put on there.
- 20:20Dayna Roselli: The pickles, the jalapeno, the cheese.
- 20:25Dayna Roselli: It was fantastic.
- 20:27Dayna Roselli: We loved it.
- 20:28Sean McAllister: And they have their their seasoning and their special sauce, which kudos to you for trying to get the the ingredients of the special sauce.
- 20:36Sean McAllister: Yeah, I couldn't get it.
- 20:37Sean McAllister: He's a lockbox.
- 20:39Dayna Roselli: We actually had little sides of special sauce to kind of dip fries into, and their, I think they had like a Chipotle um ketchup, ketchup that was good.
- 20:47Dayna Roselli: And then we had the loaded fries.
- 20:49Dayna Roselli: We couldn't finish them, but we had to try them.
- 20:51Dayna Roselli: They were delicious, but that's what they have.
- 20:53Dayna Roselli: And I ran into this guy that was sitting there at the soft opening.
- 20:56Dayna Roselli: Um, he worked for the city of Las Vegas and he said, I tried this in Chicago.
- 21:00Dayna Roselli: Then I went to Resorts World for the pop-up when they had it, and he's like, I'm so excited they're here.
- 21:04Dayna Roselli: So, like, I'm he was like chowing down on his lunch.
- 21:07Dayna Roselli: He's so happy.
- 21:08Sean McAllister: He had a happy look on his face, too.
- 21:10Dayna Roselli: He did.
- 21:11Dayna Roselli: Um, so yeah, it was great.
- 21:13Dayna Roselli: It's a great little spot, it's cool.
- 21:15Dayna Roselli: Um, I feel like it's a perfect fit for downtown Las Vegas.
- 21:19Dayna Roselli: And you know, Neen seems really happy with it.
- 21:21Dayna Roselli: I think it's gonna be great.
- 21:22Sean McAllister: Um and not a big dining room, it's like a a burger joint.
- 21:27Sean McAllister: Like you walk in, they have a bar, seats at the bar, a few high top tables around the outside, and like that's it.
- 21:37Sean McAllister: And Nean said that's exactly what he wanted.
- 21:39Sean McAllister: He was like, I don't want a big sit-down restaurant.
- 21:42Sean McAllister: Like the whole appeal of a burger joint is like you walk in, get your burger, you have your burger, and then you're on to your next thing.
- 21:49Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 21:50Dayna Roselli: And I don't think it was in the story because I took it out, but he said him and uh chef met because Nean went to his uh a restaurant he was doing uh working at for sushi.
- 22:00Dayna Roselli: And he did amazing sushi.
- 22:02Dayna Roselli: So he said that chef Phillip is kind of like a fan of skateboarding and a professional chef.
- 22:09Dayna Roselli: Neen is a professional skateboarder and kind of like is a fan of cooking and recipes.
- 22:15Dayna Roselli: And so they came together, started sharing pictures, and then they started, you know, they became friends and they started trading recipes and trying things out.
- 22:22Dayna Roselli: And he said, the best thing that we loved and got the reaction out of was the Waigu burger.
- 22:28Sean McAllister: Well, I think they're gonna get quite the reaction out of Las Vegas, too.
- 22:32Dayna Roselli: And I love it takes a choice out of it.
- 22:33Dayna Roselli: You go in, you order it, that's all they have.
- 22:35Sean McAllister: That's it.
- 22:36Dayna Roselli: Great.
- 22:36Dayna Roselli: And he, like he said, pick off the pickles if you don't want them.
- 22:39Dayna Roselli: But that's how it comes.
- 22:40Sean McAllister: But that's how it comes.
- 22:41Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 22:42Dayna Roselli: Really good.
- 22:42Dayna Roselli: So check it out.
- 22:43Dayna Roselli: It's in downtown Las Vegas.
- 22:45Dayna Roselli: Um, now open.
- 22:46Dayna Roselli: So lots of sandwiches and burgers, um, places opening here in Las Vegas.
- 22:51Sean McAllister: Hey, but if you're out uh walking off your burger down the Las Vegas Strip and you're passing uh Harmon and Las Vegas Boulevard, you might notice uh a billboard that literally jumps out at you.
- 23:04Dayna Roselli: It's so cool, right?
- 23:06Dayna Roselli: This 3D billboard.
- 23:07Dayna Roselli: Um, it's actually uh if you haven't seen the show Awakening, I'm sure you've seen ads or you know, seen people talk about it.
- 23:15Dayna Roselli: It's a fantastic show at the win.
- 23:17Dayna Roselli: And this billboard is for the production show Awakening and literally has uh performers uh popping out at you.
- 23:27Dayna Roselli: It looks so real.
- 23:28Sean McAllister: Yeah, it's called an anamorphic billboard.
- 23:31Sean McAllister: Um, and the way that this technology works is absolutely wild.
- 23:37Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 23:37Sean McAllister: Um, the billboard, the video billboard, it kind of goes on the corner of a building, but then the way that they make the graphics work, like the big uh inflatable whale from the awakening show, it comes in, it looks like it's floating out of the billboard toward you.
- 23:56Sean McAllister: Toward you, then circles around and goes back in.
- 23:58Sean McAllister: They do this with a couple different acts in the show, and it really is.
- 24:03Sean McAllister: I mean, I don't know how they do it, but it's spectacular.
- 24:08Dayna Roselli: It really is.
- 24:09Dayna Roselli: So when Las Vegas is the first resort advertiser to activate the strip's new billboard.
- 24:15Dayna Roselli: Um and like you said, the content um there, it like transforms, it says a flat LED surface into a convincing illusion of depth, motion, and spatial interaction.
- 24:26Dayna Roselli: So it's every five minutes, uh, it appears if you want to go see it.
- 24:31Dayna Roselli: You won't have to sit there for a really long time.
- 24:33Dayna Roselli: Um if you want to take videos or watch it.
- 24:35Sean McAllister: Or you can pop into the Taco Bell Cantina there right at the corner.
- 24:39unknown: Yeah.
- 24:40Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
- 24:40Dayna Roselli: So that's right near the or on the outside of the Waldorf Astoria.
- 24:44Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 24:44Sean McAllister: Very cool.
- 24:45Sean McAllister: Hey, let's get to some celebrity news with a Vegas twist.
- 24:52Sean McAllister: Well, Dana, we mentioned that in conjunction with EDC, Omnia Day Club opened in front of Caesars Palace.
- 24:59Sean McAllister: It was a star-studded opening with stunts and people packed in there.
- 25:07Sean McAllister: It was a crazy weekend.
- 25:08Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it kind of sits uh right in front of Caesars Palace, stripside, and um, it's the latest day club to open.
- 25:15Dayna Roselli: And if you don't know what a day club is, it's a pool with music and a big daytime party.
- 25:20Dayna Roselli: Lots of people, lots of people.
- 25:22Dayna Roselli: Um, Fisher was actually DJing for the daytime portion of that.
- 25:27Dayna Roselli: I love Fisher.
- 25:28Dayna Roselli: I saw him at Excess Nightclub one night.
- 25:31Dayna Roselli: I really really enjoy his sets.
- 25:33Dayna Roselli: Um, and then Martin Garrix was there for the beginning, for the opening when they after the ribbon cutting and stuff.
- 25:37Sean McAllister: Yeah, so lots of people were excited to see uh the lineup that that Omnia Day Club had for their grand opening weekend.
- 25:45Sean McAllister: Lots of celebrities there too.
- 25:46Sean McAllister: Sophia Vergara is uh one of the stars who grabbed headlines along with uh LeBron James.
- 25:53Sean McAllister: That's a big one.
- 25:54Sean McAllister: That's literally a tall one, and there were a bunch of others that that came out as well.
- 26:01Dayna Roselli: Yeah, always, always for those things.
- 26:03Dayna Roselli: It's always good to see everyone come out and support.
- 26:05Dayna Roselli: And you know, it's so great because it just gives it some headlines and lets everyone know that they're open.
- 26:10Dayna Roselli: They did a great job um with that.
- 26:13Dayna Roselli: And so it's officially open.
- 26:14Dayna Roselli: Omnia day club.
- 26:15Dayna Roselli: There's a walking bridge that connects to Omnia Nightclub.
- 26:18Dayna Roselli: Pretty easy.
- 26:19Dayna Roselli: Um, and I know they're gonna do things um uh at Omnia Day Club at night, too.
- 26:25Dayna Roselli: It's called like the sky.
- 26:27Sean McAllister: Uh the sky deck.
- 26:29Dayna Roselli: Sky deck.
- 26:29Dayna Roselli: The sky deck.
- 26:30Dayna Roselli: So FYI.
- 26:31Dayna Roselli: Um, and it does sit stripside, so it's really nice.
- 26:33Sean McAllister: And of course, they did that uh big uh motorcycle jump, X Games uh writer, Colby Raha, uh attempted the and and successfully landed.
- 26:46Sean McAllister: Um he was going for the highest motorcycle jump.
- 26:51Sean McAllister: Oh um, and uh he was going for a record um and he landed it successfully.
- 26:57Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 26:57Sean McAllister: There were a lot of people out there to watch that jump too.
- 27:00Sean McAllister: That was cool.
- 27:00Dayna Roselli: I watched the video, it was so cool.
- 27:03Dayna Roselli: Love it.
- 27:03Dayna Roselli: Um, down the road on Sunday, um the Silver and Black Raiders Foundation had their big uh event, and Elton John performed.
- 27:13Dayna Roselli: And I was like, you know, it's great because Elton doesn't really do tons of shows anymore.
- 27:17Dayna Roselli: So to get Elton John, I love that he was here in Vegas at Allegiant uh performing for this event.
- 27:22Sean McAllister: And after being a Vegas headliner at Caesars Palace for so many years, he had two separate residency shows.
- 27:30Sean McAllister: Um, and he's now kind of retired from touring, kind of retired from doing big shows.
- 27:37Sean McAllister: Hopefully, I still hope that he comes back for one final residency stint.
- 27:43Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 27:44Sean McAllister: Um, but great to see him back here in Las Vegas.
- 27:48Sean McAllister: I know he loves it here too.
- 27:50Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 27:50Sean McAllister: Um and just so good.
- 27:53Sean McAllister: He's just amazing.
- 27:54Dayna Roselli: He is always great to see.
- 27:57Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's and it's a real honor to watch him play, you know, the piano and listen to him and everything like that.
- 28:02Dayna Roselli: So yeah, lots of stars.
- 28:04Dayna Roselli: The country awards were in town too, the ACMs, and that took place over at MGM Grand.
- 28:09Dayna Roselli: The AMAs are coming up on Memorial Day.
- 28:13Dayna Roselli: Let's see, New Kids on the Block are performing, Pussycat dolls are performing, Queen Latifah's hosting.
- 28:20Dayna Roselli: Slew of other um acts have been announced.
- 28:23Dayna Roselli: So it should be good, the show here from Las Vegas uh at MGM Grand.
- 28:29Dayna Roselli: You probably see a lot of celebrities in town Memorial Day weekend.
- 28:31Dayna Roselli: They're usually around anyway.
- 28:32Sean McAllister: They sure are.
- 28:33Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 28:33Sean McAllister: And the pool parties will continue.
- 28:35Sean McAllister: That's right.
- 28:36Dayna Roselli: Um, we also got invited to Lisa Vanderpump's opening.
- 28:40Dayna Roselli: So we're excited to go check out the Vanderpump Hotel in June.
- 28:44Dayna Roselli: And that'll be they are actually shooting a reality show, didn't they announce?
- 28:48Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 28:48Dayna Roselli: A Las Vegas-based reality show in the they've probably been shooting it, I'm assuming, as we're putting together the hotel.
- 28:56Dayna Roselli: And you would even call that.
- 28:57Sean McAllister: Yeah, I I it would be silly if if Lisa didn't take advantage of that, which is actually, I saw an interview with her, uh, a print interview, where she kind of said something like that.
- 29:08Sean McAllister: Like, it would be silly of me to open a new hotel and not have cameras rolling for it.
- 29:15Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 29:15Dayna Roselli: So yeah, she's gotta do it, right?
- 29:17Dayna Roselli: It's a part of her, it's a part of her DNA.
- 29:20Sean McAllister: It is.
- 29:20Dayna Roselli: So more on that coming up in the future.
- 29:22Dayna Roselli: But that's it for us this week.
- 29:24Dayna Roselli: We'll chat with you next week here on Vegas Revealed.
