- 0:17Speaker 1: As having confess to be a nast at least the
- 0:49Speaker 1: nast and sat.
- 2:13Speaker 2: All right, here we go. This sun is shining at
- 2:16Speaker 2: least right now.
- 2:17Speaker 3: It is.
- 2:18Speaker 2: The door open here at this studio. The smell in
- 2:22Speaker 2: the air is just so nice. We're already at seventy
- 2:30Speaker 2: six degrees. We'll be back up well into the eighties
- 2:36Speaker 2: like we were yesterday. I think it was breaking all
- 2:39Speaker 2: kinds of records. Ninety I think is what I heard
- 2:42Speaker 2: that it made it into yesterday in the Champlain Valley.
- 2:47Speaker 2: By the way, some potentially pretty strong storms, isolated storms
- 2:51Speaker 2: though kicking up in the Champlain Valley. We'll give you
- 2:54Speaker 2: more info on that in just a little bit. Emily
- 2:58Speaker 2: McKenna is sitting next to me here this morning on
- 3:01Speaker 2: the curvy couch here at the aired out studios from
- 3:05Speaker 2: Central Vermont Home Health and Hospice. Absolute pleasure to have
- 3:08Speaker 2: you in here, Emily again, yes again, welcome back.
- 3:11Speaker 3: It's nice to be here, it's nice to have the
- 3:13Speaker 3: door open. It's really nice.
- 3:15Speaker 2: And here's the thing. We may have a little little noise,
- 3:19Speaker 2: little traffic noise, but it's okay because it's just like.
- 3:23Speaker 3: We're both waking up.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Yeah, we've been waiting for this for a long long time.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Let's talk about what's coming up. This is a this
- 3:32Speaker 2: is a huge thing, the thirtieth anniversary, the thirtieth golf
- 3:39Speaker 2: tournament that's coming up, the Hospice Memorial Golf Tournament with
- 3:44Speaker 2: the Central Vermont Home Health and Aspice. Tell me about it.
- 3:47Speaker 2: This is something that kind of started from.
- 3:49Speaker 3: What now, yea, so three decades of this annual tournament.
- 3:55Speaker 3: It was founded and started thirty years ago by friends
- 3:58Speaker 3: of family members, friends of a Central Vermont who utilized
- 4:03Speaker 3: hospice at CVHH and they got together and so they
- 4:06Speaker 3: wanted to do something in his memory and to acknowledge
- 4:09Speaker 3: his life. And it has grown the tournament over the
- 4:12Speaker 3: years into a day long celebration. Really it's a memorial
- 4:17Speaker 3: tournament where we just think about, you know, the importance
- 4:19Speaker 3: of hospice. But it's really a great opportunity for people
- 4:23Speaker 3: to come together play golf for a really good cause.
- 4:27Speaker 3: And we've been hosting it at the Country Club of
- 4:29Speaker 3: Barry for as long as I've been aware of it.
- 4:31Speaker 3: They've been wonderful hosts for us. And yeah, we raised
- 4:35Speaker 3: forty thousand dollars last year and we're hoping to raise
- 4:38Speaker 3: a little more this year in recognition of three decades.
- 4:40Speaker 3: And every time I say it, I'm like three decades.
- 4:43Speaker 3: That's a long time that is And I've been organizing
- 4:47Speaker 3: it and participating in some way for several years. And
- 4:51Speaker 3: really it's the energy is really great. People are so
- 4:54Speaker 3: excited to be there. They're hugging, connecting, reconnecting after being
- 4:59Speaker 3: you know, cooped up all winter and spring. So it's
- 5:03Speaker 3: a good it's a really good fun event. Get to
- 5:06Speaker 3: play eighteen holes.
- 5:08Speaker 2: So get together with your co workers, your friends, your family, whoever,
- 5:13Speaker 2: whoever it may be. You're going to have a guaranteed
- 5:16Speaker 2: great time. You're going to enjoy a fantastic meal. You
- 5:19Speaker 2: guys are doing a lunch, a luncheon.
- 5:22Speaker 3: Right, Yes, So the tournament starts. Registration opens at nine
- 5:26Speaker 3: and we do a shotgun start at ten and then
- 5:29Speaker 3: lunch is served on the turn right by the clubhouse.
- 5:33Speaker 3: So when you're coming through you can just come and
- 5:35Speaker 3: grab lunch. There's a new food vendor up at the
- 5:38Speaker 3: country Club of Barry. We're really excited to work with Dan, and.
- 5:44Speaker 2: He's excited.
- 5:45Speaker 3: He has been super helpful, really enthusiastic. We're and some
- 5:49Speaker 3: of our sponsors are really excited that he's up there too,
- 5:51Speaker 3: I've heard, so I think it's going to be great.
- 5:54Speaker 3: We're going to do a really nice barbecue lunch with
- 5:56Speaker 3: hot dogs, hamburgers, and then people can go out and
- 5:59Speaker 3: finish their their game, and then we have a golf
- 6:03Speaker 3: cart I think with some you know, beverages that people
- 6:06Speaker 3: can enjoy while they're playing golf and purchase. So it's
- 6:09Speaker 3: a it's a lot of fun, it really is.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Where where does tell me about where the money goes?
- 6:15Speaker 2: And before we before we talk about that, just a
- 6:19Speaker 2: big thank you and big big love to Barry City
- 6:22Speaker 2: and Barry Town for supporting the voters supporting town funding.
- 6:29Speaker 3: I have said this for the past two years, three years.
- 6:32Speaker 3: It's been a very challenging few years for everyone, and
- 6:36Speaker 3: we are so grateful for the residents of Central Vermont
- 6:39Speaker 3: for supporting our town funding requests again again yes and
- 6:43Speaker 3: Barrytown and Berry City, they are the final two of
- 6:45Speaker 3: the twenty three towns that we request town funding for.
- 6:47Speaker 3: They voted yes, and we are just so grateful for
- 6:52Speaker 3: the support from the ground, from the people that were
- 6:54Speaker 3: you know, we're caring for in the community, so we
- 6:57Speaker 3: couldn't do our work without.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Them, absolutely, So the money from this tournament is obviously
- 7:02Speaker 2: going to go right into the mission that you serve
- 7:06Speaker 2: and have served for one hundred years.
- 7:09Speaker 3: Since nineteen eleven. So don't make me do math right now.
- 7:12Speaker 3: But it's over one hundred and ten years. Yeah, And
- 7:16Speaker 3: like with everything at CVHHH, you know started, it started,
- 7:20Speaker 3: and it's grown and grown and grown as the need
- 7:22Speaker 3: has changed in the community. And you know, we serve
- 7:26Speaker 3: over two thousand and Central vermontras a year. Our hospice
- 7:29Speaker 3: team served over three hundred individuals and families last year
- 7:32Speaker 3: in twenty twenty five, So.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Three hundred and sixty four. I did my homework.
- 7:38Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, So it's crazy. It's a lot of people.
- 7:41Speaker 3: You know, we live in a we live in sort
- 7:42Speaker 3: of a small state, in a small community, but that's
- 7:44Speaker 3: a lot of people for us to go into their
- 7:47Speaker 3: homes over a certain period of time and take care
- 7:49Speaker 3: of them and help them have an end of life
- 7:53Speaker 3: that they want and that they're in control of in
- 7:55Speaker 3: their home where they're comfortable. So all the money that
- 7:58Speaker 3: we raise will go right back into after we pay
- 8:01Speaker 3: our expenses, we'll go right back into the hospice program
- 8:04Speaker 3: to support their needs.
- 8:06Speaker 2: And you talk about growth for Central home Health and hospice,
- 8:10Speaker 2: look at the career opportunities. Yes, you guys are growing.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Are there's I think more than ever, there's a need
- 8:17Speaker 3: for us to keep providing care in the community for
- 8:20Speaker 3: people at home. The healthcare system is very complicated, large
- 8:25Speaker 3: ever evolving, you know industry, and we know that people
- 8:29Speaker 3: if they can be home, they want to be home,
- 8:32Speaker 3: and so we are definitely hiring nurses for our hospice
- 8:35Speaker 3: team and our home health team, therapists. So there are
- 8:39Speaker 3: many great opportunities at the organization and we have I
- 8:43Speaker 3: will say I will take the opportunity to put a
- 8:47Speaker 3: plug in for our health insurance program, which is very
- 8:49Speaker 3: very It's a very strong benefit in that it pays
- 8:53Speaker 3: the deductible upfront, so it's possible that as an individual
- 8:58Speaker 3: with a family or just for yourself, we would cover
- 9:02Speaker 3: the organization minus your premiums of course your deductible out
- 9:05Speaker 3: of pocket expenses. So it's a very strong program. Health
- 9:08Speaker 3: insurance is super complicated to sort of understand how it
- 9:12Speaker 3: gets paid for, but it's a really great benefit when
- 9:15Speaker 3: you actually sit down and look at the details. So
- 9:17Speaker 3: right you know, we're we're give us a call and
- 9:20Speaker 3: let's have a chat about you know, what you're looking
- 9:22Speaker 3: for in your career.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Wow, Friday, June fifth. Yeah, registration starts.
- 9:30Speaker 3: At Registration opens at nine. We'll do a shotgun start
- 9:33Speaker 3: at ten and then usually it takes I'm told several
- 9:38Speaker 3: hours to play eighteen rounds of golf. So okay, yeah,
- 9:42Speaker 3: we'll be there. We'll be there cheering people on.
- 9:45Speaker 2: I'm going to be aired out's going to be a
- 9:48Speaker 2: par sponsor. But what do you what do you what
- 9:52Speaker 2: if someone else wants to be a sponsor? How do
- 9:55Speaker 2: they do that?
- 9:55Speaker 3: We have we're taking sponsorships through through the end of
- 9:59Speaker 3: middle of next week, and we still have some space
- 10:02Speaker 3: for golfers to register, So you can visit our website
- 10:04Speaker 3: at CVHH dot org or call us at two two
- 10:08Speaker 3: three one eight seven eight. We can put the information
- 10:10Speaker 3: maybe somewhere in the comments, but ask for a member
- 10:16Speaker 3: of the advancement team and we will help you get
- 10:18Speaker 3: set up however you want. You can register as an individual,
- 10:22Speaker 3: a pair, a foursome. We put teams together all the time.
- 10:26Speaker 3: I do want to take a minute to thank our
- 10:27Speaker 3: sponsors because they really have been instrumental in the success
- 10:32Speaker 3: of this event. So we have over fifty sponsors right
- 10:37Speaker 3: now confirmed fifty two I checked yesterday. So again with
- 10:42Speaker 3: everything with our organization, the community really comes together and
- 10:45Speaker 3: supports us. Our tournament sponsor is Maple Capital Management. We
- 10:49Speaker 3: have Vermont lasera wash as our golf cart sponsor, and
- 10:53Speaker 3: we have Hospice Memorial sponsors Jane and John Valentine and
- 10:59Speaker 3: Jeremy Jeremy Drown and then we had several individuals and
- 11:03Speaker 3: businesses support us as lunch sponsors. So we're going to
- 11:07Speaker 3: have lots of signage and ads in the papers to
- 11:09Speaker 3: just think and recognize make sure people in the community
- 11:12Speaker 3: know how generous all these local businesses have been.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Wow. Yeah, that's incredible, so real easy. When you get
- 11:20Speaker 2: on CVH dot org, click on community Calendar and you'll see.
- 11:26Speaker 3: It right, it's the first event. Start at the top.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Yeah, can't miss it.
- 11:29Speaker 3: No, And I do want to mention quickly our Silent Auction.
- 11:34Speaker 3: We have a silent auction that is powered by donations
- 11:37Speaker 3: from the community that will kick off and open on Tuesday,
- 11:42Speaker 3: the twenty sixth. I think it's the day after Memorial Day.
- 11:45Speaker 3: And actually I'm just looking at Wabby Jewelers gave us
- 11:48Speaker 3: a really beautiful pendant necklace. We have greens fees at
- 11:53Speaker 3: some really great golf courses around the state. We have
- 11:56Speaker 3: an overnight at the Woodstock in with dinner and golf.
- 12:00Speaker 3: We've gotten some really nice donated items for the Silent Auction,
- 12:04Speaker 3: and it's a way for people who want to support
- 12:06Speaker 3: who don't play golf to participate in this event. So
- 12:10Speaker 3: it just makes it a little more inclusive for folks.
- 12:12Speaker 3: And we have some people who bid every year and
- 12:15Speaker 3: so we're just welcoming them, you know, back to get
- 12:17Speaker 3: some really nice items.
- 12:19Speaker 2: People that don't play golf. You and I included.
- 12:22Speaker 3: Yes, I'm learning a little bit every year.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Yeah, but the last time I played golf it was
- 12:30Speaker 2: mini golf exactly that. It was thirty years ago. I know,
- 12:34Speaker 2: remember the windmill, and I wasn't that good. Yeah, So
- 12:38Speaker 2: there's even if you don't play golf, there's many opportunities
- 12:42Speaker 2: for you to support.
- 12:44Speaker 3: This is a community event. We're a community organization, so
- 12:46Speaker 3: we really want you know, as many people involved as
- 12:49Speaker 3: want to be.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Sure, what else? What else am I missing here? Do
- 12:53Speaker 2: we get? Is that everything?
- 12:54Speaker 3: I think we had everything? Yeah, we do, We do
- 12:57Speaker 3: have some space left for golfers, so we definitely encourage
- 12:59Speaker 3: folk to give us a call if they're interested in
- 13:02Speaker 3: playing or sponsoring. But Silent Auction is a is a
- 13:05Speaker 3: big one. We really we want to make sure folks
- 13:08Speaker 3: know about it and bit on some items. You'll get
- 13:10Speaker 3: a deal on some really great, great prizes.
- 13:12Speaker 2: If folks want to donate for the Silent Auction, they
- 13:15Speaker 2: contact you.
- 13:16Speaker 3: Everything goes through the front desk seven eight, and just
- 13:19Speaker 3: ask for advancement and we will help. However. You know, however,
- 13:23Speaker 3: we can.
- 13:24Speaker 2: Two two three one eight seven eight yep, all right,
- 13:27Speaker 2: if you want to donate anything, that's really cool.
- 13:30Speaker 3: Yep.
- 13:31Speaker 2: And what about volunteers to help make this day run
- 13:36Speaker 2: as smoothly as possible.
- 13:37Speaker 3: We would love to have volunteers. We have a very
- 13:40Speaker 3: committed volunteer committee who's helping us support sort of plan
- 13:45Speaker 3: the event that we've been working together. But there are
- 13:48Speaker 3: always things to do and always opportunities to help. So again,
- 13:51Speaker 3: give us a call if you want to volunteer, and
- 13:52Speaker 3: well we'll find something.
- 13:54Speaker 2: All right, Yeah, thank you so much, thank you. We're
- 13:57Speaker 2: going to be hammering this real, real hard again. The
- 14:01Speaker 2: Silent Auction coming up Tuesday, the twenty sixth, and this
- 14:04Speaker 2: incredible thirtieth year of this Memorial Hospice Annual Hospice Memorial
- 14:12Speaker 2: Golf Tournament, thirty years incredible, hosted by Central Vermont Home
- 14:17Speaker 2: Health and Hospice. It's coming up Friday, June fifth at
- 14:20Speaker 2: the beautiful country Club of Berry and we encourage you
- 14:24Speaker 2: to register your team of four and be part of this.
- 14:28Speaker 2: It's going to be a great day.
- 14:29Speaker 3: We're very excited.
- 14:30Speaker 2: I'll be up there streaming live and I can't wait.
- 14:33Speaker 2: It's going to be a great time. Thanks for coming in, Emily,
- 14:36Speaker 2: appreciate you so much. Wow. We have a lot to
- 14:39Speaker 2: get to this morning, a lot to tell you about,
- 14:43Speaker 2: and we're going to do that here in just a second.
- 15:08Speaker 2: All right, some of the headlines this morning that are
- 15:14Speaker 2: surfacing in Central Vermont are frankly just unbelievable, you know,
- 15:22Speaker 2: and I'm trying to absorb some of this stuff, and
- 15:26Speaker 2: I'm just like, Wow, I woke up this morning real
- 15:33Speaker 2: early and turned the phone on and started having a
- 15:38Speaker 2: look at some of the things that are happening here
- 15:42Speaker 2: in vermat Shall we start with some good some good news.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Chuck Leeford and Joe Edson the beneficiaries of Bikers for Beth.
- 15:58Speaker 2: These two guys are loved so much in our community
- 16:09Speaker 2: and they're going to be splitting twenty seven thousand, forty
- 16:15Speaker 2: dollars raised by you, our community members, not just motorcyclists,
- 16:23Speaker 2: but lots of volunteers and businesses that have stepped up
- 16:30Speaker 2: and made this year's eighteenth Bikers for Beth and massive success.
- 16:40Speaker 2: To think that our community can raise that much money,
- 16:46Speaker 2: just under thirty thousand dollars to help fight cancer is unreal.
- 16:57Speaker 2: So thank you to everyone who was involved this year
- 17:05Speaker 2: in this amazing event. Eighteen years. Two beneficiaries this year
- 17:16Speaker 2: again Chuck Lafe for Joe Edson. The weather could not
- 17:21Speaker 2: possibly have been any better than it was. It was
- 17:25Speaker 2: just awesome. Some of you asking this morning about the
- 17:32Speaker 2: traffic situation here in the Granite City. We have some
- 17:36Speaker 2: major water and sewer upgrades that are going on for
- 17:39Speaker 2: the Washington Street and Spaulding Street intersection, and that is
- 17:45Speaker 2: going to be the case through Friday afternoon. I said
- 17:53Speaker 2: this yesterday, I'll put it on again on the air.
- 17:56Speaker 2: This morning. The westbound traffic on Washington Street stopped at
- 18:01Speaker 2: Academy Street and detoured down Academy to Eastern nav The
- 18:07Speaker 2: eastbound traffic is going to remain on Washington Street, but
- 18:13Speaker 2: should should be delayed at times because of some lane shifts.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Just keep that in mind. Okay, all traffic on Spaulding
- 18:24Speaker 2: Street will need to enter and exit using the Perry
- 18:30Speaker 2: Street during construction, so plan ahead, look at an alternate
- 18:39Speaker 2: route to avoid congestion between now and Friday. And give
- 18:45Speaker 2: these crews a break. Give them a break. They're working
- 18:53Speaker 2: real hard in really hot temperatures that are suddenly upon us.
- 19:01Speaker 2: Please be patient with them and thank you in advance.
- 19:10Speaker 2: Let's look at some of the headlines this morning that
- 19:13Speaker 2: are trending, and I encourage you to post up your comments,
- 19:20Speaker 2: share your thoughts. I want to see them. I may
- 19:24Speaker 2: not read every single one of them, but I would
- 19:27Speaker 2: love to hear what you have to say. Bit of
- 19:31Speaker 2: national news, bitter regional news, bit of Vermont news. Well
- 19:43Speaker 2: we're going to start out in California. Man. There is
- 19:47Speaker 2: some absolutely crazy shit that is going on, you know.
- 20:00Speaker 2: And I was just saying, I was just saying this
- 20:04Speaker 2: morning that to be at my little girl's softball game yesterday,
- 20:17Speaker 2: sitting in my chair, sipping some water, enjoying some snacks
- 20:27Speaker 2: and escaping from everything, totally disconnected. Didn't even have the phone,
- 20:36Speaker 2: and even if I did, where I was there was
- 20:41Speaker 2: no cell service. Just to sit there and be disconnected
- 20:46Speaker 2: from everything and be present in the moment and watching
- 20:52Speaker 2: not just my little girl, but two teams of young
- 20:58Speaker 2: kids out on the field, totally absorbed in what they're
- 21:04Speaker 2: doing in the present moment of playing softball, being competitive,
- 21:09Speaker 2: having fun, cheering each other on. Was awesome, and I
- 21:18Speaker 2: mean that word awesome. I highly recommend that if you
- 21:28Speaker 2: can to put your phone down, go for a walk,
- 21:33Speaker 2: do something other than watching TV. Just do something, just
- 21:39Speaker 2: be quiet, just be present in the moment. And then,
- 21:43Speaker 2: of course, you know, I'm back on the phone last night,
- 21:49Speaker 2: back on the internet, looking at what's going on in California.
- 21:55Speaker 2: Here we go. Police are revealing more details about the
- 21:59Speaker 2: tea age suspects involved in this deadly shooting at the
- 22:05Speaker 2: Islamic Center of San Diego. Authority say the suspects open
- 22:20Speaker 2: fired outside the mosque, killing three people before later dying
- 22:29Speaker 2: from apparent self inflicted gunshot wounds. Dressed in camo, they
- 22:34Speaker 2: knew what they were doing. Investigators are examining possible hate
- 22:39Speaker 2: crime motives. You think this is the fourth major shooting
- 22:47Speaker 2: involving a US mosque since two thousand, fourth major? It's unreal, man. Yesterday,
- 23:06Speaker 2: all the hubbub about President Trump saying that he has
- 23:11Speaker 2: postponed the planned military strike against Iran following requests from
- 23:24Speaker 2: several Gulf allies.
- 23:28Speaker 3: Who have.
- 23:31Speaker 2: Have and still are urging restraint to Trump. Well, diplomatic
- 23:40Speaker 2: negotiations are continuing. How is this whole thing gonna pan out? Whatever?
- 23:52Speaker 2: You know, whatever happened? And they're teaching this in school.
- 23:58Speaker 2: By the way, Lily said to me yesterday, Dad, did
- 24:04Speaker 2: you know that that Trump declared war before he was
- 24:13Speaker 2: given permission to? My eleven year old is telling me
- 24:17Speaker 2: that yesterday. Yeah, it's being taught. I said, where'd you
- 24:26Speaker 2: learn that in school? I ask you, just as I
- 24:36Speaker 2: asked Sharlyn yesterday. What do you think about that? Honestly,
- 24:45Speaker 2: what do you think about that? Should that be taught
- 24:52Speaker 2: in school? I'll let you answer. I want to see
- 24:55Speaker 2: what you have to say. Department of Justice yesterday announced
- 25:04Speaker 2: a sit down for this figure. Please, I don't want
- 25:08Speaker 2: you to fall and hit your head. A one point
- 25:12Speaker 2: seven seven billion dollar taxpayer funded program designed to compensate
- 25:22Speaker 2: individuals who claimed they were politically targeted by the DOJ
- 25:31Speaker 2: or federal agencies in recent years. Getting a text here
- 25:46Speaker 2: this morning as I'm reading this, yep, I am going
- 25:53Speaker 2: to be talking about that. I will get to it.
- 25:58Speaker 2: What say you about that? What else is trending right now?
- 26:11Speaker 2: Federal court has rejected Elon Musk's lawsuit challenging open AI's
- 26:20Speaker 2: decision to transition into a for profit company. All of
- 26:29Speaker 2: this while the tech world continues massive layoffs tied to
- 26:37Speaker 2: artificial intelligence. You don't have to be living under a
- 26:42Speaker 2: rock to miss all that. It's happening everywhere. Microsoft is
- 26:47Speaker 2: cutting thousands of jobs, Intel is slashing staff, Amazon continues
- 26:56Speaker 2: to lay off thousands of workers. Elon Musk himself now
- 27:03Speaker 2: warning the irony here is amazing that AI could lead
- 27:10Speaker 2: to mass unemployment faster than many experts predicted. At the
- 27:22Speaker 2: same time, world leaders and economists are debating right now
- 27:32Speaker 2: ideas on universal basic income. There's a lot of concern
- 27:45Speaker 2: about the future workforce. I mean, look at you know,
- 27:52Speaker 2: I'm fun here. Look at Starbucks. Starbucks, not the world
- 27:59Speaker 2: economic barometer that just laid off three hundred US corporate
- 28:07Speaker 2: employees at Starbucks and the closing regional offices everywhere, all
- 28:15Speaker 2: part of their big company restructuring effort. I know, I know.
- 28:21Speaker 2: It's not just Starbucks, thank god that they haven't closed
- 28:28Speaker 2: the one that they're building right now here in little
- 28:34Speaker 2: old small town from Aunt Berlin, thank god. But several
- 28:44Speaker 2: major companies in the United States are reducing their workforce,
- 28:51Speaker 2: slimming their staff because of concerns over automation. AI. I
- 29:08Speaker 2: have friends maybe you do too, who say, come on, Jada,
- 29:13Speaker 2: you don't get worked up about that, wasting your time? Okay.
- 29:26Speaker 2: I even said to uh, to somebody, Hey, I don't
- 29:29Speaker 2: have to worry about it. My kid needs to worry
- 29:33Speaker 2: about it. I'll be I'll be gone by then. And
- 29:40Speaker 2: I've had uh, I've had people say to me, uh,
- 29:44Speaker 2: maybe not, maybe not, probably going to be sooner than
- 29:51Speaker 2: you think. We got robots making pizzas right now. I
- 30:03Speaker 2: don't know gasoline prices. Let's talk about it, do you think?
- 30:12Speaker 2: And maybe I should make this a Facebook question of
- 30:17Speaker 2: the day, which, by the way, I got to bring
- 30:18Speaker 2: that up this morning. Holy crap, I get Dwayne saying, really,
- 30:24Speaker 2: jd really, gasoline prices could soon approach five dollars a
- 30:35Speaker 2: gallon in parts of the country amid the ongoing global tensions,
- 30:43Speaker 2: supply concerns five dollars a gallon. I've got the motorcycle
- 30:52Speaker 2: for sale and was told by a friend, you're crazy.
- 31:00Speaker 2: You're crazy to sell your motorcycle. Don't do it. What's
- 31:04Speaker 2: your motorcycle get sixty sixty five miles per gallon? Don't
- 31:11Speaker 2: sell it. Hang on to it. But with my new
- 31:21Speaker 2: shoulder not feeling the most confident right now about operating
- 31:27Speaker 2: a motorcycle, at least a street bike, just hang on
- 31:33Speaker 2: to it, JD.
- 31:34Speaker 3: Do.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Don't sell it. Hang on to it. Your shoulder is
- 31:38Speaker 2: going to get stronger. I'm gotta get the other one done.
- 31:44Speaker 2: We'll see what happens. I don't know. I'll tell you
- 31:47Speaker 2: at least I know, Glenn, I very much am one
- 31:57Speaker 2: market that appears to be driving along with the gasoline market,
- 32:05Speaker 2: the petroleum market. How's your stock doing? By the way,
- 32:12Speaker 2: I'm just curious. One market that is thriving is the
- 32:21Speaker 2: drug market. We could do many podcasts just about the
- 32:30Speaker 2: drug market alone. Have you ever seen drugs ink? Oh
- 32:36Speaker 2: my god, woke up this morning flipping through some of
- 32:43Speaker 2: the headlines and see that customs agents reportedly discovered more
- 32:51Speaker 2: than nine point three million dollars again, nine point three
- 33:00Speaker 2: million bucks worth of cocaine hidden inside shipments of Brace
- 33:11Speaker 2: Yourself Kim Kardashian branded underwear. Well, of course it's got
- 33:21Speaker 2: to be Kim Kardashian underwear. We wouldn't want to do
- 33:28Speaker 2: the cheap Walmart underwear. We gotta go big or go home.
- 33:33Speaker 2: Nine point three million dollars. My god. In Idaho, I
- 33:42Speaker 2: saw four crew members safely ejected after their Navy jets
- 33:49Speaker 2: collided during an air show performance over the weekend. Thank god,
- 33:53Speaker 2: they're all right. Usually when there's a collision in the
- 33:59Speaker 2: air like that, es actually between jets, there's not time
- 34:05Speaker 2: to eject. I'm glad they're okay, though investigators are working
- 34:09Speaker 2: to determine the cause of the crash. You imagine witnessing
- 34:17Speaker 2: something like that. And we've been to so many air shows.
- 34:20Speaker 2: I love air shows. We got a judge in New
- 34:23Speaker 2: York weighing the legality of the backpack search tied to
- 34:32Speaker 2: the murder case against Luigi MANGIONI how this stuff can
- 34:43Speaker 2: How we've got any kind of defense? I don't. I
- 34:49Speaker 2: just don't know. I can't figure that out. I mean,
- 34:53Speaker 2: is there not enough evidence? Defense attorneys argue the please
- 35:00Speaker 2: improperly obtained evidence that prosecutors are hoping to use at trial. Yeah,
- 35:13Speaker 2: isn't that something else though? And we've got Tyler Robinson
- 35:25Speaker 2: back in the courtroom today and the same kind of
- 35:33Speaker 2: nonsense has happened in there in his defense. Was the
- 35:41Speaker 2: public execution of someone in front of thousands of people
- 35:50Speaker 2: in broad daylight, including his family? Was that not enough evidence?
- 36:01Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm sure there's plenty of here that
- 36:03Speaker 2: are pushing back here listening to me right now, thinking, well, JD,
- 36:09Speaker 2: I mean, you know, it's a conspiracy. Tyler Robinson wasn't
- 36:16Speaker 2: even there, Okay, man, I'm just I just can't imagine
- 36:30Speaker 2: who the uh. I can't imagine being in the courtroom.
- 36:34Speaker 2: I can't imagine being selected for the jury for Tyler
- 36:39Speaker 2: Robinson in that whole case. Can you imagine they're looking
- 36:46Speaker 2: for people who are so disconnected from that the whole thing.
- 36:55Speaker 2: They don't even know who Charlie Kirk is, never heard
- 36:59Speaker 2: of Tyler Robinson. They're more absorbed into their own things
- 37:07Speaker 2: in their own lives to be paying attention to anything
- 37:14Speaker 2: that's going on in the headlines. That's the kind of
- 37:18Speaker 2: juror that they're looking for. Okay, Virginia and this story,
- 37:30Speaker 2: I've got to look into a little bit more. We
- 37:36Speaker 2: have the former assistant principle of rich Knick Elementary School
- 37:44Speaker 2: now on trial in connection to that classroom shooting back
- 37:50Speaker 2: in twenty twenty three, where a six year old student
- 37:53Speaker 2: shot his teacher. I don't know if you remember that.
- 38:00Speaker 2: Secutors say warnings were allegedly ignored before the shooting happened.
- 38:22Speaker 2: Let's take a look a little bit more about what's
- 38:24Speaker 2: trending in Vermont. As I let off this morning in
- 38:31Speaker 2: telling you I'll give you the full forecast, but I
- 38:33Speaker 2: know there's an isolated chance for some strong thunderstorms across
- 38:37Speaker 2: Vermont today, especially in the Champlain Valley. Forecasters are saying
- 38:42Speaker 2: that the threat is less likely east of the Green
- 38:46Speaker 2: Mountain spine, but some scattered showers and thunderstorms remain possible statewide,
- 38:51Speaker 2: and some of them could be packing a pretty good punch.
- 38:55Speaker 2: Seventy six degrees this morning, again, as we started out
- 39:00Speaker 2: the day, National Devil's Food Cake Day today. By the way,
- 39:05Speaker 2: are you going to be celebrating We have three days
- 39:09Speaker 2: to go until Memorial Day. Weekend, thirty three days until
- 39:16Speaker 2: Father's Day. Let's give you the details in the forecast.
- 39:24Speaker 2: Sun and clouds today. Watch out again for some pop
- 39:28Speaker 2: up storms in the Champlain Valley later today. Eighty five degrees.
- 39:32Speaker 2: If you're working outside, wear some shorts, T shirt if
- 39:38Speaker 2: you can. Tonight, partly cloudy, seventy degrees. Where will I
- 39:43Speaker 2: be on my patio? What will I be wearing? Keep
- 39:49Speaker 2: that to myself. Wednesday Tomorrow cloudy skies, possibly some thunderstorms
- 39:56Speaker 2: seventy six. Thursday, back to the deep freeze. Sixty degrees
- 40:02Speaker 2: for the daytime high on Thursday under partly cloudy skies.
- 40:10Speaker 2: We're gonna be freezing our asses off. We've been twenty
- 40:15Speaker 2: five degrees hotter than that. What's happening to our blood
- 40:20Speaker 2: right now? It's thick, it's thin, it's it. Friday, partly cloudy,
- 40:28Speaker 2: sixty seven. Saturday cloudy, seventy one. Sunday cloudy, some scattered
- 40:34Speaker 2: showers in sixty three, so not a complete wash out
- 40:37Speaker 2: this weekend, but still some rain showers. Grass is so
- 40:42Speaker 2: green that emerald, Oh, it's beautiful. And the yellow dandelions,
- 40:48Speaker 2: trillions of them, sprinkled everywhere across the landscape. Here and
- 40:51Speaker 2: fromont it So this is such a beautiful time of year.
- 40:56Speaker 2: It's Tuesday, five dollars Tuesdays back at the Capitol Theater

- 42:25Speaker 2: to go dot com. What else do we have in
- 42:30Speaker 2: the news for mont State police continuing to investigate several
- 42:37Speaker 2: crashes over last weekend, including one that got the headlines
- 42:42Speaker 2: this morning, the truck that crashed into burger King in Colchester.
- 42:51Speaker 2: I know you're gonna be surprised when I say that
- 42:53Speaker 2: the burger King is still closed. It's closed in cold
- 43:01Speaker 2: so you're gonna have to wait on grabbing your Bounty Whopper,
- 43:08Speaker 2: your grogu blue cookie shake, your garlic chicken fries. Just
- 43:17Speaker 2: hang on. Just you're gonna have to wait a little bit.
- 43:20Speaker 2: You'll be fine. Speaking of fast food, I'd be remiss
- 43:26Speaker 2: if I skipped over this one. The McDonald's manager in Southbridge, Massachusetts.
- 43:33Speaker 2: I want you to remember those words Southbridge, Massachusetts. If
- 43:41Speaker 2: you're ever in Southbridge, mass do not go to McDonald's.
- 43:48Speaker 2: There's an employee there who's I think she's a manager
- 43:52Speaker 2: facing criminal charges, as she should be, after surveillance video
- 43:59Speaker 2: showed her licking and spitting on customers' French fries before
- 44:05Speaker 2: just before serving them super fresh. Twenty six year old
- 44:14Speaker 2: Kayleie Santos is her name. She's been charged with, let's see,
- 44:20Speaker 2: distributing food with a harmful substance. That's the charge. I'll
- 44:28Speaker 2: say it again in case you missed it, distributing food
- 44:33Speaker 2: with a harmful substance. The video was posted on Facebook.
- 44:40Speaker 2: She's due back in court on June fifth. I'll ask
- 44:48Speaker 2: you what else should she be charged with? Got any ideas?
- 44:58Speaker 2: Go ahead and post them up public humiliation? Maybe I don't.
- 45:07Speaker 2: I don't know. Put her in the summer parade. Governor
- 45:14Speaker 2: Phil Scott announcing the creation of Romont's new AI Economic
- 45:20Speaker 2: Task Force. What in the good God is that it's
- 45:28Speaker 2: a group that's going to be examining how artificial intelligence
- 45:35Speaker 2: could impact jobs, education, business and economic development. It would
- 45:44Speaker 2: be my strong assumption that our governor is paying attention
- 45:51Speaker 2: to what's happening in the nation right now with this subject.
- 45:59Speaker 2: It would be my strong assumption that he is well
- 46:02Speaker 2: versed with what's going on right now with the Elon
- 46:08Speaker 2: Musk and AI. How it could impact, how it could
- 46:21Speaker 2: impact jobs, education, business and economic development. How it could
- 46:29Speaker 2: impact these things negatively or positively. That's the question, maybe
- 46:45Speaker 2: a little bit of both. I don't know. I'm paying attention.
- 46:49Speaker 2: I'm watching that story and a few others, but that one. Meanwhile,
- 46:55Speaker 2: under the Golden Dome from a lawmakers are now entering
- 47:01Speaker 2: overtime as the debates have heated up a little bit
- 47:08Speaker 2: over the education reform package involving school funding, district restructuring,
- 47:21Speaker 2: property taxes. I know I could go on, but our
- 47:27Speaker 2: legislative leaders remain more divided about this than ever. They're
- 47:42Speaker 2: either on the north pole or the south pole with
- 47:46Speaker 2: regard to this. I don't know anyone who's on the
- 47:55Speaker 2: fence or has anything constructive to really bring to the table.
- 48:16Speaker 2: Maybe there are, but what I've heard, what I've seen
- 48:23Speaker 2: is a whole shit ton of bickering, complaining. We're looking
- 48:29Speaker 2: for leaders with real solutions. That's what they were elected for,
- 48:40Speaker 2: not to come into this with an agenda, but have
- 48:52Speaker 2: an open mind of how to fix some of these things. Again,
- 48:58Speaker 2: real solutions, bipartisan ideas. The pressure is growing. Some say
- 49:17Speaker 2: by the hour, some say by the day. But we've
- 49:21Speaker 2: got to get a plan together before adjournment. We've got
- 49:28Speaker 2: to get our shit together and get this figured out.
- 49:34Speaker 2: This is borderline laughingstock. Glenn says, perhaps Vermont should be
- 49:44Speaker 2: governed by vermonors. Glenn, You're not old enough to remember
- 49:52Speaker 2: when that was the case. We have a Burlington daycare
- 50:00Speaker 2: center that's hoping to reopen after a troubling state report
- 50:05Speaker 2: detailing multiple alleged violations involving children and staff behavior. Allegations
- 50:13Speaker 2: include children hitting, kicking, pulling hair, and throwing objects while
- 50:21Speaker 2: staff reportedly struggled to respond appropriately. Investigators also documented allegations
- 50:33Speaker 2: of a staff member carrying a child upside down by
- 50:36Speaker 2: their ankles. That happened to me in side note here
- 50:47Speaker 2: full transparency. That happened to me in third grade Wolkitt
- 50:55Speaker 2: Elementary School. Missus Rockwell, I'm not kidding. A little bit
- 51:04Speaker 2: of blood to the head, but I'm okay, at least
- 51:11Speaker 2: I think i am. Anyway, Another child allegedly dragged by
- 51:19Speaker 2: the arm after being pulled by the waist, and a
- 51:28Speaker 2: seventeen month old child who suffered a broken leg while
- 51:33Speaker 2: falling on a playground that was reportedly designed for older
- 51:41Speaker 2: children between the ages of two and five. Who's got
- 51:48Speaker 2: a seventeen month old playing on a playground that's designed
- 51:54Speaker 2: for kids between age two and five. Wow. The report
- 52:04Speaker 2: also claims that some children were left unattended for extended
- 52:08Speaker 2: periods of time and in some cases get this completely
- 52:17Speaker 2: unaccounted for damn community calendar. Here this morning brought to
- 52:31Speaker 2: you by the World, Central Vermont's favorite weekly newspaper. Twenty
- 52:35Speaker 2: two thousand people every single week get the World Newspaper.
- 52:40Speaker 2: This coming Wednesday, Depth Phillips is going to be on
- 52:42Speaker 2: the air with us right after nine o'clock when we
- 52:44Speaker 2: start things, and she's going to give you a snapshot
- 52:47Speaker 2: on what to expect in the world. That's when tomorrow.
- 52:54Speaker 3: We have.
- 52:55Speaker 2: Being that it is Tuesday, the Tuesday Night, generate the

- 53:15Speaker 2: They print it every week. Order in or dine in
- 53:21Speaker 2: or take out your choice. So if you're on the go,
- 53:24Speaker 2: no worries. Twelve bucks goes right to the American Legion.
- 53:27Speaker 2: Pick it up. You're on your way. Don't have to cook,
- 53:30Speaker 2: don't have to worry about anything. You don't even have
- 53:32Speaker 2: to worry about cleaning dishes. Big kudos to the American Legion.
- 53:38Speaker 2: I love talking about anything to do with the American Legion.
- 53:46Speaker 2: Tomorrow Wednesday, wing a ding Wednesday at the VFW Post
- 53:51Speaker 2: seven ninety right here in the Granite City five o'clock.
- 53:53Speaker 2: Donna Thunder just coming off a knee replacement surgery. I
- 54:01Speaker 2: don't know how old Donna Thunder is. I know how
- 54:08Speaker 2: old she acts. I know her level of energy is
- 54:16Speaker 2: absolutely amazing. I'm jealous. I think she's older than I am.
- 54:21Speaker 2: She's got a hell of a lot more energy than
- 54:23Speaker 2: I have. You see her. I'm up on stage running
- 54:28Speaker 2: around like she's eighteen, playing the harmonica and the guitar
- 54:31Speaker 2: and singing, and holy crap, how's she gonna pull off?
- 54:35Speaker 2: Wing and ding Wednesday Tomorrow night at the VFW Post
- 54:38Speaker 2: seven ninety and Perry, I don't know. Probably seated in
- 54:45Speaker 2: a chair or on a walker, I don't know. Thursday
- 54:53Speaker 2: we got bingo at the Canadian Club. They do it
- 54:56Speaker 2: every Thursday. What else do we have going on? We
- 55:00Speaker 2: got Looking Ahead here, Barb's poker run over at Wilkins
- 55:05Speaker 2: on Saturday the thirtieth. We'll get the Lions Club coin
- 55:07Speaker 2: drop on the same day, Saturday the thirtieth, from ten
- 55:13Speaker 2: to ten to noon or ten to two rather two pm?
- 55:19Speaker 1: Uh?
- 55:21Speaker 2: What else? What else?
- 55:22Speaker 3: Oh?
- 55:22Speaker 2: May twenty third? Oh, my god, is that this weekend?
- 55:29Speaker 2: It is May twenty third VFW Post seven ninety pig
- 55:34Speaker 2: Roast fundraiser for the Very Area Veterans Council. Get your
- 55:39Speaker 2: tickets at the Elks Lodge. The VFW, the American Legion
- 55:43Speaker 2: and the Sons of Civil War, the Veterans Council, they
- 55:50Speaker 2: do so many great things. They not only purchase and
- 55:56Speaker 2: hang up all of the American flags up and down
- 55:59Speaker 2: North Main Street here and Barry, but they also host
- 56:04Speaker 2: the Veterans Parade and ceremony in the Memorial Day Parade
- 56:10Speaker 2: and ceremony. We thank them so much, and they do
- 56:22Speaker 2: a hell of a lot more than just that for
- 56:25Speaker 2: our veterans, constantly having dinners and meetings and doing everything
- 56:31Speaker 2: they can for veterans. Donna Thunder is going to be
- 56:36Speaker 2: performing at that pick roast Saturday, the VFW. Somebody needs
- 56:45Speaker 2: to tell Donna Thunder and you can tell her that
- 56:49Speaker 2: I said this, that she just needs to just take
- 56:55Speaker 2: a deep breath. Boy does that lady love her community?
- 57:00Speaker 2: Holy crap, my god. Starting Sunday, June seventh, I want
- 57:07Speaker 2: to make sure everyone knows about this, because I've been
- 57:09Speaker 2: chatting with Annie up at the Central Vermont Marketplace June seventh,
- 57:14Speaker 2: and every Sunday after that at the Berlin Mall they're
- 57:18Speaker 2: having a food truck festival from noon to seventh. So
- 57:21Speaker 2: many people have asked me, Jadie, where where where at
- 57:25Speaker 2: the Berlin Mall. The Central Vermont Marketplace is what it's
- 57:28Speaker 2: called now. They've rebranded it in the back parking lot.
- 57:32Speaker 2: So starting the west end, which is the Walmart end,
- 57:36Speaker 2: back towards the back, back, not the front, the back,
- 57:42Speaker 2: and going toward eastward toward Coles that whole you know
- 57:48Speaker 2: that back road back there, Yeah, back there. The Stephen
- 57:54Speaker 2: Tracy Memorial Ride in Poker Run is Saturday, June sixth.
- 58:00Speaker 2: Ten o'clock is the I think the registration, and then
- 58:06Speaker 2: I think they're underway at eleven at the Den in
- 58:09Speaker 2: Williamstown ten bucks per rider or per driver, and then
- 58:16Speaker 2: I think it's five dollars per passenger and all proceeds
- 58:21Speaker 2: are going to be benefiting a Williamstown student going into
- 58:24Speaker 2: the workforce. Amazing, Yes, Stacy and flag Day forgot about that.
- 58:35Speaker 2: What else? Upper Valley Cars and Coffee I've been in
- 58:39Speaker 2: chat with them, really excited about that. They've got some
- 58:44Speaker 2: big news. They're launching it. They're underway. If you haven't
- 58:49Speaker 2: been on Upper Valley Cars and Coffee on their Facebook page,
- 58:54Speaker 2: you need to get on there right now. Like it,
- 58:57Speaker 2: follow it. They're going to be running up, up and
- 59:00Speaker 2: down the Connecticut River Valley. It's going to be amazing.
- 59:05Speaker 2: What else got a text? Yes, I am going to
- 59:11Speaker 2: be talking about the Lake Mory Summer Concerts series. Yes,
- 59:15Speaker 2: I am going to be talking about Grand Point North
- 59:17Speaker 2: Festival returning to Burlington in September with Grace Potter. Yes,
- 59:25Speaker 2: I will be. I see Chris Hatch is tuned in.
- 59:32Speaker 2: Chris is driving the bus of Upper Valley Cars and Coffee.
- 59:38Speaker 2: I'm glad he's tuned in. I'm glad he's watching. I
- 59:41Speaker 2: didn't know that he was. I can't wait to get
- 59:45Speaker 2: this guy on the air, whether we're here in the
- 59:48Speaker 2: studio or whether I throw a microphone in front of
- 59:51Speaker 2: his face during one of his car shows. But I'm
- 59:55Speaker 2: telling you they're going to be badass. And anyone who's
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: got a classic car or anything, even a classic camper,
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: bring it to the Upper Valley Cars and coffee shows.
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: Get on their page. They've just launched the date when
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: it's all kicking off. And Chris, I have so much
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: in my head here it is. Hold on, I got
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: it right here. Give me a second Powerhouse mall Sunday,
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: July twelfth. I hope I have this right from eight
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: to eleven entry free donations. You bet they're welcome and
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: they'll have the venmo setup for you if you want to,
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: you know, make a donation. But yeah, and please do
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: because we've got to sustain stuff like this powerhouse. Small
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: over there, what's that west Lap yep, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: I'm just glancing here. Bring your ride, bring your friends,
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: bring your camera. That's going to be the kickoff again
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: July twelfth. He's saying, I'm one hundred percent right, Glad,
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: I got that right, big supporters of these guys. What
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: else in the community calendar? My god, it's just it's
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: ridiculous how packed it is. Barry co Ed Softball League
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: is looking for more players than sponsors. We have the
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: Berry City Wreck Department bringing back their summer camps. Get
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: on their page. Read all about those overwhelmed Facebook Question
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: of the Day this morning, and Dwayne was a little,
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: a little with his comment saying, really, JD really, and
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: he said it just like that. I asked a simple question,
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: what's your favorite thing to sprinkle on corn on the
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: cop this summer?
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: Is that?
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: Am I out of line here by asking that question?
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: Have I offended someone? A couple of comments that have
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: come in I think it was it was a Doug
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: Smith who said, got to have Cabot butter and pink
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: Himalayan salt. I agree, it's got to be the pink Himalayan.
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: But he's saying I think this year he's going to
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: try seasoned salt. That's he's getting crazy if he gets
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: in with the season salt. We have cowboy butter. It's
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: a kinder spice. I am familiar with the kinder line,
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: but I haven't tried the cowboy butter. I'm going to
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: have to do that for me. I was really surprised
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: that nobody has, at least from what I've read here.
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: The comments are still coming in. Oh okay, here we go,
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: Mike Danko butter salt and here's the clincher, pepper. Thank you, Mike.
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: You and I are a rare breed apparently that we
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: like to sprinkle a little bit of pepper on the
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: corner and the cop I agree with the butter doesn't
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: have to be capit. Sorry, I agree with the Himalayan salt.
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: But pepper is an absolute must. And I suggest maybe
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: even a little bit of And this is what I'm
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: going to be doing this summer is Parmesan cheese and
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: a little bit of cayenne pepper, maybe even a little
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: bit of Just bear with me here, maple sugar. Ashley says,
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: do people really add more than butter and salt?
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: Now?
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: I'm curious what else would there be? Pepper is good
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: with pink, Himalayan salt and butter, says Becky. Yeah, ground pepper, Oh,
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: coarse ground pepper, Stacy holding wild. You're really pushing it
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: with the coarse ground. What else? What else did I
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: want to talk about this morning? Oh? I know what
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: it was, and I know this is got. This is
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: how this stuff is trending right now is unbelievable on
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: social media. The TSA said that while they can't allow
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: protein shakes larger than three point four ounces, you're free
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: to bring as many rotisserie chickens as you can fit
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: into your carry on Ladies and gentlemen, people listening right
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: now that are tuned into aired out. I am not
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: making this up. Please if you don't believe me, google it.
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: This is in the news right now, believe it or not.
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: It has been twenty years since the TSA launched its
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: very confusing three to one one liquid's roll, which is
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: limits travelers to three point four ounces of liquid per container,
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: with those containers fitting within one court sized clear bags
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: per customer, to which all of Americans are responding, But
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: why so you can't take a protein shake that's over
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: three point four ounces at least in one container. But
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: the TSE TSA notes that if you're if protein is
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: your concern, just pack a rotisserie chicken or twelve as
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: many as you can fit into your carry on. The
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: TSA has a what can I bring tool on their website.
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: Here's a few things that are allowed, hole watermelons. I'm
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: trying so hard to do this without smiling. Live lobsters.
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: It has to be in a clear bag, though, they
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: have to be able to see that it is actually
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: a live lobster. I'm not sure how long it's going
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: to stay alive, and if it dies or it just
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: stops moving, I don't know what happens. Then live fish
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: in water, frozen breast, milk, ice packs in any quantity,
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: as long as they're fully frozen at screening, whole pies
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: and cakes, cremated remains.
- 1:09:13Speaker 4: In a.
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: Clear container, bowling balls and bowling pins. Glenn says that
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: he has traveled to Cancun with real live lobsters to
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: give them a taste of what New England lobsters are like,
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: and that they lived. That's beautiful, Glenn, beautiful. You should
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: be so out of yourself, Stacy saying, I always bring
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: back two boxes of Mackenzie hot dogs and six pounds
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: of Mackenzie green bag sausage every trip. Okay, tomorrow, Sweethearts
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: and Heroes with us on the air on the Aired
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: Out podcast. I can't wait. Ah, have a beautiful rest
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: of your day. Be careful in the heat, plenty of fluids,
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: do whatever you have to do to stay cool. We'll
