- 0:13No topic.
- 0:14Off limits.
- 0:16And now, here's your host, David Fiorazzo.
- 0:20Friends, family in Christ, thank you so much for tuning in to another podcast.
- 0:25We are already zooming through September.
- 0:27Hard to believe, but it's just the way it goes, and now we're into fall.
- 0:31I love it.
- 0:32I'm kind of tired of the warm weather in the summer.
- 0:34I know that offends some of you, but please continue to watch and listen.
- 0:38I've got two guests today, so bonus from the ministry Reasons for Hope, the website r4h.com, r4h, F-O-R.
- 0:50dot com and i've got carl kirby and bub coons with us two gentlemen and we have a bonus from them today so guys welcome to worldview matters so good to see you both
- 1:02Thank you, brother, for letting me be here, man.
- 1:04It's awesome to be with you.
- 1:05Yep, it's going to be good.
- 1:06So you guys, first of all, you have a lot of new stuff coming out.
- 1:09Carl's got something.
- 1:10Bub's got something.
- 1:11But I do want to mention, I really enjoyed my interview with you guys when you had me on the Debunked Files.
- 1:20It was a great conversation.
- 1:21Candice was a part of that.
- 1:23There it is.
- 1:24We have the four box going on that show.
- 1:27That was a lot of fun.
- 1:28I really enjoyed just talking to each one of you.
- 1:30And it was better than what it felt like when we were doing it.
- 1:35When I watched it, I'm going, wow, it flowed really well.
- 1:39So I want to just direct people to that.
- 1:41That is on your YouTube channel.
- 1:43And so I want to make sure you guys go to Reasons for Hope
- 1:53I do want to mention get debunked.org.
- 1:57You've got a new one coming out.
- 1:59But before we get to that, some of the stuff you guys cover.
- 2:04I scroll down on this page.
- 2:07Dinosaurs disprove the Bible.
- 2:10There are more than two genders debunked.
- 2:13And then this one was interesting.
- 2:15All consensual sex is okay with God.
- 2:18I mean, that's what our culture thinks.
- 2:20But, guys, you do not shy away from any topic.
- 2:24So these are, of course, debunked.
- 2:26But they're high-flying videos.
- 2:28Carl, why don't you just touch on that?
- 2:30And then I want to get just Bub's take on one of our things we say at the beginning of the show of Worldview Matters.
- 2:37No topic off limits.
- 2:39And you guys can say the same thing.
- 2:40Carl, go ahead.
- 2:42Yeah, no, you have to go after these things because that's what this younger generation is coming at us with.
- 2:46I mean, literally, when we do our camps, we hand out index cards and a box and say, whatever question's keeping you from selling out, write it down, turn it in.
- 2:54And that's what we address.
- 2:55And so those turn into a number of them are turning into debunks.
- 2:59Now, the consensual sex one is interesting because, look, we had to deal with homosexual sin, right?
- 3:04We had to deal with it.
- 3:06But here's the thing.
- 3:06Bub did such a good job of pointing out the fact that, look, we get called homophobe.
- 3:11You're a homophobe.
- 3:11You're a homophobe.
- 3:12I'm not a homophobe.
- 3:13I'm a sex-outside-of-the-bounds-of-biblical-marriage-phobe, right?
- 3:16And so what we had to do was let's take and address this issue, and it does deal with homosexual sex, but guess what?
- 3:24Adultery, fornication.
- 3:26It's all sexual sin, and we're not going to grade each one of them.
- 3:30And I think Bub did a phenomenal job of addressing a tough topic that some people don't want to address, including me.
- 3:37But we have to.
- 3:38This world wonders, and we have to speak the truth.
- 3:41So, Bob, let's get your take on that, too.
- 3:44I appreciate you guys and everything that you tackle, man, especially for young people today growing up in a culture that's less and less and less biblically literate, especially even in the church.
- 3:56Bob, go ahead.
- 3:57Go ahead.
- 3:58Well, I mean, it's always interesting to tackle a giant issue in under five minutes with animation to try to be fun and also get God's take on this, his premises and his principles and all the biblical knowledge that I'm researching to try to squeeze this into five minutes.
- 4:16But yeah, all sin outside, all sex outside of the boundaries that God has set.
- 4:23a man and a woman in a covenantal relationship and marriage is sinful.
- 4:28And, you know, like Carl said, not one is better than the other, like a higher center or this one and that one.
- 4:34And let's be really honest.
- 4:35I mean, if, if sex money and power are the big three, I think for men, I'll be honest with me, the sex one is a really, really tough one, right?
- 4:43That's a, and especially for someone like me, who's been married, my wife passed away and to be, you know, if we get personal, haven't had sex since 2021, right?
- 4:52So it's a tough topic, but this is God's standard for how we should live, and we ought to honor him in all that we do.
- 5:01Fail or not fail, we should come back and repent and get help or whatever it is, because there's so much sexual addiction out there and so many sexual things that people—
- 5:11they get into and it ruins their life.
- 5:14And so these things, these things, we might be tongue in cheek about them, but they're extremely, extremely important.
- 5:21And that's why we tackle them.
- 5:22We're trying to give people the hope of the gospel and who Jesus is, not just tear everybody down.
- 5:26That's why there's humor in them.
- 5:28That's why I attack myself.
- 5:29That's why we throw stuff at people to say, everybody just relax.
- 5:33Let's just talk about what the Bible says and then just get
- 5:41Well, thanks, Bob.
- 5:42And David, you talk about the top three.
- 5:45This issue is in the top three of the questions that we get from the campers.
- 5:49It's there.
- 5:50Wow.
- 5:51Well, on this topic, then let's continue this.
- 5:54I wasn't planning on it, but I have a follow-up question.
- 5:57I'm dating myself.
- 5:57We're old school.
- 5:58I'm old school.
- 5:59When I was a little kid, it was Playboy.
- 6:02Right.
- 6:02And then something called the Internet came along.
- 6:05And I'll tell you, kids today, if you've got an iPhone or iPad, they can do it, access it in school like at click of a finger.
- 6:15Parents have to be so disciplined and really aware of what their kids are potentially getting into.
- 6:24Carl, could you speak to that?
- 6:25Because that will lead them right down the path of addiction.
- 6:29And Carl, go ahead.
- 6:31Absolutely, I'll be honest with you.
- 6:33If I were a parent and had a younger child today, they would not have a smartphone, they'd have a phone if they had one that was so dumb, they could barely just talk on it, man, because they need to learn how to spell, no texting either, because R has an A and an E in there somewhere, so figure it out.
- 6:47But we've turned that over to these young people, and let's be honest, when you look at the numbers, it is destroying us.
- 6:54We're talking pastors have problems with pornography, we're talking leaders, Christian leaders have problems
- 6:59every camp that I go to, I've got in my wallet, I carry my wallet.
- 7:03I was at a camp, not a camp, a school, a Christian school.
- 7:06Young man comes up to me.
- 7:07How do I deal with this, this, and this, and pornography?
- 7:10And it's like everywhere I go, you're getting this.
- 7:12And so, yes, the internet has, to me, destroyed a generation because any young person that has access to this device
- 7:21is involved with this.
- 7:22And I hate to say that, but my son is a youth pastor.
- 7:26And I told my son, I was down in California.
- 7:29My son came back to me and said he had been at a camp where they were working with a lot of just the leaders.
- 7:35And he talked to all those leaders and they said, every young person that had a smart device was involved in pornography.
- 7:40I said that at Calvary Chapel, Fort Lauderdale when I was speaking down there.
- 7:43A school teacher, well, he's a pastor, but he's a teacher at the school.
- 7:47He went to his son who goes to this premier Christian school.
- 7:50I mean, it's one of the top Christian schools in Florida.
- 7:53He asked his son, how many of your peers that have a smartphone are involved in pornography?
- 7:58That boy, without skipping a beat, said every one of them.
- 8:01It's here.
- 8:01It's an issue.
- 8:02And we have to deal with it because it is destroying a generation.
- 8:06Well, how is it on the parent?
- 8:10I guess it starts at home, right?
- 8:11Bub, do you want to tackle that one?
- 8:14Well, it's interesting that you say that because when I was born, somewhere in the 60s and stuff, and my dad was, I don't want to take anything away from him.
- 8:25He's a great dad.
- 8:25Didn't become a believer until the 80s.
- 8:27So this is part of an explanation.
- 8:30The reason I would bring this up, I probably wouldn't bring it up if he wasn't saved and didn't repent of it, but he had Playboys everywhere.
- 8:36They were stashed away in the attic, and my brother and I got a hold of them when we were pretty young.
- 8:42And, and as what, what's the word to say is, uh, things are much nastier and much worse than that.
- 8:49That was just naked women.
- 8:51I don't, I don't want to just say that was just, but it wasn't porn to the point where people were having sex and doing bizarre stuff.
- 8:57And it's, it's, you know, worse and worse and worse.
- 9:00So it, but I'll tell you what, it affected me greatly.
- 9:04it, it, it, it, it's something in my mind when I, early on, I started, there's no way to really say it, but objectifying women.
- 9:12It's just like, you're beautiful or you're not.
- 9:14I liked a beautiful woman.
- 9:15And I, I wasn't looking at the soul of a person or, or who of the person at all.
- 9:20I was just attracted to, to beauty and, and to, to lust quite honestly.
- 9:25And that kind of started that, started that journey.
- 9:27Um,
- 9:28of going down the wrong path, right?
- 9:30And then I did become a pastor.
- 9:33I never got into porn, never did any of that stuff, but was always massively affected just by the images I saw on the pages.
- 9:40I couldn't imagine watching movie after movie after a movie
- 9:44and getting that in your head where you just can't get it out of your head.
- 9:48And that's all you think about.
- 9:49So I actually think it's, it's hugely on the parent when you're in the household, when you're eight up to 18, there's no way my kids getting a smartphone.
- 9:58There's no way I'm going to hand them an addicting device.
- 10:01kind of tool or an open gateway to anything.
- 10:03They're just going to have to live with it and be mad at me.
- 10:06But that's the way that's the way it goes.
- 10:08I think that's just a gateway to horrible things.
- 10:11And the rest is monitoring your kids' friends.
- 10:13I mean, we got it.
- 10:15We got to do that.
- 10:16We got to.
- 10:17I don't want to be the parent that gets in.
- 10:19That's your job right now is to protect your kid, train your kid and defend your kid against all this stuff.
- 10:24And we got to do it.
- 10:26That's the that's the cost of being a good biblical parent.
- 10:30Great conversation, guys.
- 10:31I love what you said, Bob.
- 10:32I do want to mention something that I, an observation maybe I have.
- 10:36We think of great Christian leaders that have had influence on our country, and I think of, through the decades, half a century, Billy Graham.
- 10:45I think, can I think of others?
- 10:47James Dobson.
- 10:50Wow.
- 10:51Ray Comfort.
- 10:52And maybe it gets harder and harder to think of more.
- 10:55But you think of the ones, if you go back 100 years, that have had a detrimental impact on America and sexually.
- 11:03I think of Margaret Sanger.
- 11:06I think of Alfred Kinsey, and I think of Hugh Hefner, and you could go into Hollywood, and you could go.
- 11:12So, and how do you overcome that?
- 11:15Because it is everywhere.
- 11:16And there's a university, I think it's Indiana University.
- 11:21They've got an Alfred Kinsey building or something, and they got a whole curriculum.
- 11:27And this is nuts.
- 11:28This is stuff that the Bible is absolutely opposed to and says this is sin.
- 11:35But yet our culture just goes along with it.
- 11:38I don't know.
- 11:39So maybe, Carl, could you speak to that?
- 11:43Maybe how do parents, because they're going to get it.
- 11:46If they don't get it, once they get out of high school at 18, they're going to go to one of these universities.
- 11:51And you know what?
- 11:52They're going to be fed there.
- 11:54So, Carl, go ahead and speak to this briefly.
- 11:58Well, I mentioned one other person that just passed away, Gloria Steinem, she just passed away.
- 12:02You talk about somebody that had a major impact on this issue, she is a lady that had that impact, unfortunately, in the negative sense.
- 12:10Yeah, it's, look, I put it like this, you know, parents, it's no fun.
- 12:14We have to make the tough call, and when our children are struggling with issues, and they are going to struggle with issues, especially in this world where Satan doesn't play fair, he's going to come after them, he's going to take things that don't look good and make them look amazing.
- 12:27And if we don't address those things, if we, you know, I put it like this, I had an interesting conversation with a transgender guy once and he was hot at me.
- 12:36And when I started talking with him, it was like, finally, I just got to the point where I was like, look, true love, if I genuinely believe what I'm telling you right now, and I believe that your lifestyle choices, regardless of what they are, because I'll talk to anybody that's making lifestyle choices that are gonna separate them from a holy God, I'll talk to them the same way.
- 12:51If I genuinely believe that your lifestyle choices are going to separate you from a holy God for all eternity, true love is willing to look you in the eye and tell you there are consequences to the decisions you're making and the lifestyle choices you're making.
- 13:04I don't want you to go through those consequences.
- 13:06True love will not pat you on the back and tell you that you're okay when this is going to hurt you.
- 13:11And so I think parents, we have to love our children enough that, oh, they're just a good kid.
- 13:14They're going through a phase.
- 13:15No, they're sinners.
- 13:16They need a savior.
- 13:17His name is Jesus.
- 13:18And even the saved need to be called out when we start stumbling and falling off track.
- 13:24So parents just love your children enough to be honest with them and shoot them straight and show them that here's the consequences to these actions.
- 13:36It's not going to go good.
- 13:38That's just all there is to it.
- 13:39We have to do these things.
- 13:41Yeah.
- 13:41And, and Bob, you made a good point.
- 13:43Also your, your young son or daughter's friends can also, I mean, if they don't have an iPhone, your, their friends are going to have iPhones.
- 13:51All right, let's move on the conversation where this is going by very, very fast, but I appreciate both of you.
- 13:56Um, Bob, tell us about flat earth debunked.
- 14:00We recently saw the astronauts up there going around the world around.
- 14:04They took pictures of the earth.
- 14:06To me, it looked round.
- 14:07I don't know.
- 14:07Tell us about this next debunk that's coming out.
- 14:10That's a conspiracy.
- 14:11David, you're so fooled.
- 14:12Conspiracy.
- 14:12You're so easily fooled thinking that astronauts went up there and took real pictures.
- 14:17You're so gullible.
- 14:18I can't believe that you would trust astronauts and the entire space community and every organization in the world and every picture from the satellite.
- 14:27I mean, I can't believe we fall for all that.
- 14:29Now, okay, so the flat Earth thing is one of these things that I can't believe we had to do.
- 14:36I get the sex thing.
- 14:37There's a lot of stuff and a lot of temptation, but...
- 14:40But having to do a flat earth video, in fact, Carl called me and I'm like, really, this is one we have to do.
- 14:47And it was, and we did.
- 14:49And so we're going to release it on the 18th to the public and have a debunk files about it with somebody on that knows a lot about more than we do.
- 14:58But our whole approach was, what do they say?
- 15:02And then let's go one by one and go, let's try to debunk or at least give a reason why that might happen.
- 15:08So it's a cumulative approach.
- 15:10And at the end of the day, massive skeptical people, you can't convince.
- 15:16They're skeptical about everything except their skepticism is what I always say.
- 15:20And so it's...
- 15:21It just, you can't sit down and reason with them.
- 15:24What we're trying to hope to do is, with all debunks, is there's people on the fence, there's Christians that may not understand something, and then there's skeptics that are reasonable, and they'll listen and go, oh, okay, that's a good point, and maybe they'll change their mind.
- 15:38It's so hard to change...
- 15:40Like J. Warner Wallace says, there's ones and fours on both sides, and you're never going to convince them of anything.
- 15:47It's going to be the Lord's miraculous work.
- 15:51The twos and threes are somewhat reasonable.
- 15:53Those are the people you can have conversations with.
- 15:55So we know we're going to get a ton of flack.
- 15:58More so than the ones on sex.
- 16:01We're going to get 10 times more on this than when we stand on God's moral standard of sex.
- 16:08But we're taking it on.
- 16:09And the next one is about aliens.
- 16:11And the next one's about Islam.
- 16:13So we're going to have a lot of fun this year.
- 16:15Wow, yeah.
- 16:16Yeah, a lot of fun.
- 16:17Yeah, you're going to get a lot of comments and emails.
- 16:20Before we jump to, because time's going by fast, the Gospel League.
- 16:25Carl, you mentioned something in an email about camp season being over.
- 16:29Can you sum up just some of the experiences you've had maybe for our audience?
- 16:34Oh my goodness.
- 16:35We had such an amazing year.
- 16:37I'll give you two really quick stories.
- 16:39One, we had a group came in North Carolina, over 30 young people that were absolutely unchurched.
- 16:45I mean, completely, totally unchurched.
- 16:47And I just got a report yesterday that a minimum of four of them have made very serious professions of faith.
- 16:53So, you know, four out of 30, that's not huge, but to me, that's absolutely huge.
- 16:57And one, another story, this young lady, she came up, we're in Montana on a, it was Wednesday night.
- 17:04Wednesday night is usually the big turning point at our camps.
- 17:06You know, the first two days we're checking everything out.
- 17:08Then Wednesday, it's like the Holy Spirit just starts opening hearts and minds.
- 17:12Young lady comes up and she just hands me and I'll show it to you.
- 17:17I actually brought it down here.
- 17:18She hands me this.
- 17:20And you're like, it's a pencil sharpener, Carl.
- 17:22Yeah.
- 17:23No, if you notice on the inside, the screw has been taken out and the razor blades are just floating in there.
- 17:28This was the device that she was using to cut herself with.
- 17:32And then people would just look at that and just think, oh, it's just a pencil sharpener.
- 17:36No, this is what she was using to cut herself with.
- 17:39And she came up and repented and turned her life over to Christ.
- 17:42And so we've had it, I mean, young ladies, young men sobbing, I mean, literally sobbing,
- 17:48This year, to receive the Lord, we've had Christians who came up fired up, like I'm in school, and these are the things that I were getting beat up with this year, and I can't wait to get back into school and give answers, not be jerks, not be belligerent, ignorant jerks, but give answers now why I believe that I say that I believe.
- 18:05So we are blown out of the water with the responses that we get at our camps.
- 18:09And next year,
- 18:10We've already got three booked.
- 18:11We're working on number four right now.
- 18:13So God is good.
- 18:14And we are so appreciative of the opportunity to reach this next generation like that.
- 18:20So to find out about your camps, is that under events at your website or where else?
- 18:25Yeah, you can go to equipretreat.org.
- 18:29Okay, equipretreat.org.
- 18:32And it is changing.
- 18:33We're gonna rebrand it.
- 18:34We're moving to a new name.
- 18:35I don't wanna release it just yet because it's gonna be a big reveal.
- 18:39We're incorporating more discipleship next year.
- 18:43Matter of fact, anybody that wants to be a speaker, I'm telling them, bring your talk.
- 18:47You're gonna get up, you're gonna get five minutes, all the professional quote unquote speakers.
- 18:51We're gonna sit, we're gonna listen, we're gonna critique, then I'm gonna sit with you and help you make your presentation even better.
- 18:57Then you're gonna get up and give it in front of the whole group.
- 19:01We are putting feet to the faith.
- 19:03We're gonna have worship discipleship.
- 19:06We're gonna have the ministry discipleship, so we're
- 19:09fleshing all of that out right now.
- 19:11So I cannot wait to reveal what we're going to be doing next year.
- 19:13It's going to be unique.
- 19:16That's awesome.
- 19:16So Carl, I'm going to stay with you because you've got something coming out.
- 19:19You're excited about, you know, kids love superheroes and comic books and you've got, uh, you've been, you've got a series of the gospel league and you're using, is it, is it a comic tracks?
- 19:31Explain what that's all about and when that's coming out.
- 19:35Well, if you're old like me and you grew up looking at those chick tracks, that's kind of what this is, a full-color chick track.
- 19:41Because I was doing comic books initially, but you know how expensive to print a comic is?
- 19:47Ridiculous.
- 19:48So I had to go the track route.
- 19:51And what we've done is we've created the Gospel League.
- 19:54And when it comes to our faith, we need to know it, live it, share it, is what we say.
- 19:58Well, I grew up with the Justice League.
- 20:02Well, this is the Gospel League.
- 20:03And so when it comes to know it, there's a character.
- 20:06When it comes to live it, there's a character.
- 20:07And when it comes to share it.
- 20:08So each one of those attributes has a character.
- 20:12And what they find is that in and of themselves,
- 20:15can't be as effective as you can, should be, and need to be when you all three come together.
- 20:21And so we're doing studies on it.
- 20:24I've got five week studies for each one of those little tracks.
- 20:28And I've got a guy that's teaching it right now.
- 20:30I got it just literally five, 10 minutes before I came on here.
- 20:33The guy sent me his report from doing the very first lesson.
- 20:37He loved it.
- 20:38He said it works.
- 20:40The high school kids and junior high kids all got it.
- 20:43And we're touching tough topics, man, about, you know, again, pride, ego, vanity, all of these things.
- 20:50So it's a comic series.
- 20:52You can see the Gospel League.
- 20:54And people can see it just by going to gospel-league.com.
- 20:57And the booklets, they'll be able to read the booklets absolutely, totally free.
- 21:01There's going to be PDFs that they can download for the leader's guides.
- 21:04I'm giving it all the way free.
- 21:06I want people to use this stuff.
- 21:08We will have all of the images if somebody wants to take and put the images into their presentation.
- 21:12I'll have that as a digital download and ask for a love offering or something like that to help us cover expenses on producing all of that.
- 21:19But brother, it's something that we're trying to put out there so people will use.
- 21:22It'll also be in our app so that there's just tools that we want people to do ministry.
- 21:31Awesome.
- 21:31So gospel-league.org?
- 21:37Oregon come, if I'm not mistaken.
- 21:38I think we got them both.
- 21:40Okay, that's great, guys.
- 21:41Just thrilled about what you guys are doing, how you're using just all the different talents that God's given you.
- 21:47So, Bob, I don't know if this is going to be something that Carl needs to speak to as well.
- 21:55but you've guys got a new approach to what you're doing.
- 21:58Tell us about that.
- 21:59I think, Carl, you said that in an email.
- 22:02I don't know if that was something that you were thinking about or the whole team is on board with this new approach.
- 22:07Can you tell me more about that?
- 22:09Well, yeah, I'll throw it back to Carl, but I think he's talking specifically about what used to be the equipped retreats.
- 22:14We're changing those quite a bit and more to come on that.
- 22:18But, uh, yeah, he he's, uh, Carl's our fearless leader that is always innovating and throwing a thousand new things out there.
- 22:26You have to work hard to just like put your hands up to stop most of it and let the good stuff just kind of seep in and go, yeah, we can do those 19 things, but not these 340 things.
- 22:37So it's great.
- 22:38It's really exciting to have a leader like that because you don't want it the other way around where they just sit there.
- 22:43And then you've got to get stuff out of them.
- 22:45So Carl's always coming up with new things.
- 22:48And this Gospel League thing is a lot of fun.
- 22:51I'm actually doing a video version of it for book one.
- 22:54So it'll be on the app so you can just watch the whole thing and the pages turn and all that kind of stuff and character voices and all the stuff.
- 23:01So we're leaving no creative approach untapped to reach people with the gospel.
- 23:08Awesome, as it should be.
- 23:10Carl, it seems like you're one of those guys that you have vision and you're always thinking, always trying to create, and you just never stop.
- 23:17But tell us about the—
- 23:19Unless Bob covered it all, what the new approach that you guys are taking or what God's put on your heart.
- 23:26Yeah, the way that you said it was very nice.
- 23:28The way that these guys say it when I'm not around is like, dude, he's killing us, man.
- 23:32There is that element, I guess.
- 23:34Or a Wade, man.
- 23:36Wade, he's like, oh, no, here's another idea.
- 23:38Let's throw it in the shoebox, right?
- 23:40Well, no, because what it is is when you're around this younger generation, you're seeing that things that we did five years ago don't work.
- 23:48Things that we did three years ago don't work.
- 23:50They're not asking the same questions.
- 23:51As a matter of fact, the questions have shifted so much.
- 23:54We're not going away from apologetics.
- 23:55Please hear me on that one very clearly.
- 23:57Apologetics is vitally important, and it's the foundation from which we can build our faith to be rock solid.
- 24:03But the questions that we see and the apologetic questions that we see aren't necessarily like...
- 24:09fact type questions, you know, like, well, how many times did this happen here?
- 24:14Now it's really feelings.
- 24:17I mean, I don't care how many facts you got behind, this is how I feel.
- 24:22And feelings trump fact.
- 24:24And so it's like, okay, we gotta deal with that type of a thing.
- 24:28And so that's why to me, incorporating the discipleship component, it's like, okay, it's not just, all right, me, the area that I wanna take when we do our discipleship next year is the service component.
- 24:38All right, because one of the things that I've always genuinely tried to do is to lead by doing.
- 24:44I don't try to ask anybody to do anything that I haven't done or do.
- 24:48And so we're gonna have the group that's coming in.
- 24:51We're before every session.
- 24:53This room is gonna be pristine.
- 24:57The chair's gonna be lined up, trash off the floor, it's gonna be lined, it's gonna look good because I wanna, it's about me, no.
- 25:04I want the Lord to look good.
- 25:06So we have a motivation that's not for our pride or our ego, but to make the one that we're serving look good.
- 25:12And so I want that service type project.
- 25:15Every camp that we go to, camp.
- 25:16We're here for a week.
- 25:17What can we do for you while we're here this week?
- 25:20What project can you give to us that our young people can come together so that at the end of the week, not only have you served us by feeding us and bedding and clothing, you know, whatever those things are, we want to serve you as well.
- 25:32And to me, that's got to become a part of everything that we do.
- 25:34Yes, we give the answers for the reason for the hope that lies within us.
- 25:37We make this in fear.
- 25:38We do that.
- 25:39But we also serve.
- 25:41And we do the know it, live it, share it components.
- 25:44And that's what we're trying to incorporate in the camps.
- 25:46When you do all three of those components, man, great things happen.
- 25:50And I just believe that.
- 25:52So I'll give you the last couple of words here, Bob, since you joined the conversation.
- 25:57I love just talking with you guys, both of you guys.
- 26:00And you say, know it, live it, share it.
- 26:03Go ahead, Bob, whatever you want to talk about.
- 26:06Well, I think those are the true things, the foundation of how R4H started, even back way when I started 15, 18 years ago, whenever it was, it was like, that's it.
- 26:15I mean, you have to first know it.
- 26:16You got to read your scripture.
- 26:17You got to love God.
- 26:18You got to do what it says, know it.
- 26:20You got to live it, right?
- 26:21Because if you're a hypocrite,
- 26:22I mean, we all don't live it perfectly, and that isn't the point.
- 26:25We fall, but when we fall, we repent because that's part of the biblical instruction.
- 26:29So, yeah, we need to tell when people see us do something, and we need to repent.
- 26:34We need to show all the principles of Scripture.
- 26:36So when you live that out—a matter of fact, that's far more powerful sometimes when you live that part out of confession and repentance—
- 26:45That people go, my goodness, this guy, he isn't perfect, but at least he's living up to it, not saying that, you know, oh, I didn't do anything wrong.
- 26:53And then, you know, the share it thing is a big part of our hearts.
- 26:56The apologetics without evangelism is incomplete, right?
- 26:59The whole thing has to come together.
- 27:01So when you know it and you love it and share it, or live it and share it, I always say love it and live it because it's kind of the same thing to me.
- 27:08I stuck with love it.
- 27:10It's interchangeable.
- 27:11But yeah, that's the foundation of everybody on staff and the cornerstone of our ministry, obviously all built on Christ.
- 27:20Appreciate you guys very, very much.
- 27:22I just want to give the websites once again, r4h.com, getdebunked.org, and you can look them up on Facebook, Reasons for Hope U.S. on Facebook.
- 27:34Guys, it went by super fast.
- 27:36Lord willing, we'll continue this conversation in the near future.
- 27:39Carl, Bub, God bless you both.
- 27:41Thanks for your time.
- 27:42Thanks, David.
- 27:43Appreciate it.
- 27:43Appreciate you, brother.
- 27:44Thank you so much.
- 27:45Friends, share this one.
- 27:47God bless you.
- 27:47And as always, keep speaking the truth about things that matter.
- 27:50See you next time.
