- 0:00Speaker 1: Hello, yeah, helloa, yeah, hello, yeah what. This is an
- 0:03Speaker 1: innovative radio feature. We invented this. This gave rise to
- 0:07Speaker 1: talk radio, and we're sorry for that. Yeah, but yeah,
- 0:10Speaker 1: if this is your chance to just communicate with us,
- 0:13Speaker 1: whatever you want to say, whatever you want to ask us.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Questions, comments, criticisms or jokes.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Yeah, praise, yeah, yeah, tell us how we always like
- 0:22Speaker 1: hearing out great.
- 0:23Speaker 3: We are.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Just quickly while we're waiting for some calls to come in.
- 0:28Speaker 2: It's just a tiny.
- 0:29Speaker 3: Hello, sailor boy, oh hello, yeah what.
- 0:33Speaker 2: I talked to my sailor son Fastest because he sent
- 0:36Speaker 2: me a Mother's Day gift and I was thanking him
- 0:39Speaker 2: for that and saying, what are you up to this week?
- 0:42Speaker 2: This is his last, like really hard week of medical
- 0:46Speaker 2: school and he'll start kind of like his residency. And
- 0:50Speaker 2: so I said, well, what have you been up to?
- 0:51Speaker 2: And he said, well, we had to simulate another Oh
- 0:56Speaker 2: I'm being shot at, but yet I have to take
- 0:59Speaker 2: care of bol Like, so there's bad guys shooting, but
- 1:02Speaker 2: there's this, there's an injured guy next to me, and
- 1:05Speaker 2: you got to take out the bad guy. Yeah, And
- 1:08Speaker 2: he said, so, they gave us these rubber guns that
- 1:12Speaker 2: didn't make a noise, but you had to bang, yeah, bang.
- 1:19Speaker 3: Bang like kids.
- 1:24Speaker 4: So the whole running out of AMMO aspect, that's not
- 1:28Speaker 4: it factored in.
- 1:30Speaker 3: You never run out of AMMA when all you do
- 1:32Speaker 3: is go back like that, it's like you're it's like
- 1:36Speaker 3: you're a TV detective. You know, you never run out
- 1:39Speaker 3: of AMMO.
- 1:40Speaker 2: The Navy doesn't have any way of simulating that.
- 1:43Speaker 1: This is also an opportunity for you to air grievances
- 1:47Speaker 1: or promote things. Yeah, you know, it's just a way
- 1:51Speaker 1: ask us question. I ran into a guy at uh
- 1:56Speaker 1: Costco yesterday, no Sunday. I went to Costco early Sunday
- 2:02Speaker 1: Mother's Day to take care of a couple of things,
- 2:05Speaker 1: and uh, really nice guy who he and his wife
- 2:08Speaker 1: have a a food truck and it's Brazilian. It's a
- 2:13Speaker 1: Brazilian food truck. And I was looking for the name
- 2:16Speaker 1: of it here, so this hairless food truck. Yes, yeah,
- 2:19Speaker 1: I made the same joke too in my head. It's
- 2:23Speaker 1: it's not a food truck with a Brazilian terry. Okay,
- 2:26Speaker 1: Brazilian food truck. Brazilian food and I'll find the name
- 2:30Speaker 1: of it here.
- 2:30Speaker 3: It's meat. It's a lot of meat. I would guess
- 2:34Speaker 3: at meat.
- 2:35Speaker 4: Uh, let's see where in some of these texts are
- 2:39Speaker 4: not making any sense at all.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Oh, there it is.
- 2:43Speaker 1: It's uh, it's crazy for cocaine, cocinas, crazy for cocinas.
- 2:51Speaker 5: Uh.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Coqinas is co x I n h s coquinas And
- 2:57Speaker 1: I said that's kind of a difficult name. And he said, well,
- 3:01Speaker 1: Coquinas are these little chicken dumplings that sounds good that
- 3:05Speaker 1: are famous in Brazil. And that's why I called them
- 3:08Speaker 1: truck that.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Well, we'll start.
- 3:10Speaker 4: It look like we have time for one call in
- 3:12Speaker 4: this break, but we have more people are lining.
- 3:15Speaker 3: Up, so I filled up.
- 3:16Speaker 4: We'll get filled up here in a moment. Eight seven
- 3:18Speaker 4: seven six two nine six nine six. We'll start with cement.
- 3:21Speaker 3: Dave, Yeah, what hey Dave?
- 3:24Speaker 6: Good morning.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Hi.
- 3:26Speaker 6: Uh. The other the other week, you guys were talking
- 3:28Speaker 6: about hummingbird sightings and when you put your feeders out.
- 3:32Speaker 7: Uh.
- 3:33Speaker 6: We had some hummingbirds buzzing around our flowers this morning
- 3:35Speaker 6: and far west.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Oh cool.
- 3:37Speaker 1: I saw my first hummingbird Sunday on Mother's Day. My
- 3:41Speaker 1: wife's spotted all but it hasn't I haven't seen him again.
- 3:46Speaker 2: I got to meet the entire cement Dave family over
- 3:50Speaker 2: the weekend, including their two new puppies.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Oh, they got litter mates. Hey do we have cement Dave?
- 3:55Speaker 3: So we need to put that in chicken buckets. I
- 3:59Speaker 3: don't know if we have some of the stuff. I
- 4:02Speaker 3: don't know.
- 4:03Speaker 6: What we can do that. Also, speaking of soap, if
- 4:06Speaker 6: I can, if I can promote our soap business, please sure.
- 4:10Speaker 6: We are doing a market. We're doing Augden Farmers Market
- 4:13Speaker 6: all summer and we are starting a market in far
- 4:15Speaker 6: West the last Friday of the month starting May thirtieth.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Oh cool, and Neil, you'll be selling Dave and missus
- 4:22Speaker 1: Dave soap.
- 4:24Speaker 6: We will be selling everything but the radio from helbar.
- 4:27Speaker 6: We're still working out those details.
- 4:29Speaker 3: All right, all right, thank you Dave.
- 4:33Speaker 6: Vienna's Creations dot Com.
- 4:34Speaker 3: All right, thank you. Thanks? Hello, Yeah, what it's hello?
- 4:38Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 4:38Speaker 3: What let me get get that going? Here we go?
- 4:40Speaker 2: Hello? Yeah?
- 4:41Speaker 3: What there? We all right, it's more like it. Let's
- 4:44Speaker 3: continue with Cassidy. Cassidy. Hello, Yeah, what hi Cassidy? What
- 4:50Speaker 3: have you?
- 4:52Speaker 8: I have kind of a complaint, which I think is
- 4:54Speaker 8: a lot of people's. I don't know who designed the
- 4:57Speaker 8: bathroom stalls, like where the toilet paper or goes or
- 5:01Speaker 8: how they think how little we sit, But they're always
- 5:04Speaker 8: below almost the toilet area where you have to almost
- 5:07Speaker 8: grab clear down to the ground to get your toilet paper.
- 5:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:10Speaker 8: And this other day I found one that was above
- 5:13Speaker 8: the bar of a handicapped sull and it was placed
- 5:16Speaker 8: perfect and I'm like, this is ergonomically physically great.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Hey, yeah, that's whoever made that choice. So now are
- 5:24Speaker 1: you saying that you are you are a disabled person, not.
- 5:31Speaker 8: In the sense of too much of that, but like,
- 5:33Speaker 8: I don't know any disabled person that sits below the toilet, well.
- 5:37Speaker 3: Yeah, that's true. Yeah, yeah, And they put them.
- 5:40Speaker 8: Below the bar, or they put them really low and
- 5:44Speaker 8: you have to like sit there and kind of squish
- 5:46Speaker 8: your arm between the stall and the toilet to get
- 5:48Speaker 8: toilet paper. And it's like ridiculous. And I took a
- 5:52Speaker 8: picture of it and I'm like, normalize this, And I posted.
- 5:54Speaker 1: On Facebook, listen, do what I do? I carry my
- 5:58Speaker 1: own role. I just have so I just have a
- 6:00Speaker 1: role with me at all.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Maybe be a good idea. Yeah, all right, thanks, we'll
- 6:04Speaker 3: see you later. Let's see let's go to Scott's. Scott's. Hello, Yeah,
- 6:10Speaker 3: what what's up, Scott.
- 6:13Speaker 9: Good morning. Thanks for letting me listen.
- 6:14Speaker 3: You're welcome.
- 6:16Speaker 9: I just wanted to kind of put out a public
- 6:18Speaker 9: PSA about pulling cancer and younger people. It's becoming really
- 6:23Speaker 9: common in younger people. Everyone knows about this. Yeah, and
- 6:26Speaker 9: my wife is just forty and she just got diagnosed
- 6:29Speaker 9: with stage four and it's just out of the blue,
- 6:33Speaker 9: no symptoms anything, and she's not she's not a health
- 6:36Speaker 9: risk for any of the risk factors.
- 6:37Speaker 3: It just happens.
- 6:38Speaker 2: How did you if she didn't have any of the symptoms,
- 6:41Speaker 2: how did she find that she had it?
- 6:42Speaker 9: She finally got symptoms once she has stage four? Yeah. Yeah,
- 6:48Speaker 9: So it's just like if you're if you're getting close
- 6:51Speaker 9: to forty and you got people who rely on you
- 6:53Speaker 9: and stuff. Just I know it's uncomfortable, but it maybe unless.
- 6:57Speaker 3: You have some weird quirks, but I kind of enjoy it.
- 7:01Speaker 6: You do.
- 7:02Speaker 9: Just go maybe go get it done, consider it. You know,
- 7:04Speaker 9: I can get a couple of people to go try
- 7:06Speaker 9: it out, and it's worth it.
- 7:07Speaker 3: I always feel cleaner and lighter, lots lighter.
- 7:11Speaker 9: It's a it's a nice, nice cleanse.
- 7:12Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 7:13Speaker 1: All right, well, thanks, good luck with your wife too. Yes,
- 7:16Speaker 1: sorry to hear about it.
- 7:17Speaker 9: Thank you very much. Were all room for se Yah?
- 7:20Speaker 3: All right, Scott, let's go to Annie. Hello Annie?
- 7:23Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 7:24Speaker 10: What hi?
- 7:26Speaker 3: Hi?
- 7:29Speaker 11: I wanted to share the story of how my my
- 7:30Speaker 11: boyfriend because it's super crazy and I want to know
- 7:32Speaker 11: if Alee is happened to anybody else.
- 7:34Speaker 3: Okay, go ahead, all right.
- 7:37Speaker 11: So we met on a dating app, as one does
- 7:39Speaker 11: when you're thirty nine and out of a divorce. I
- 7:43Speaker 11: was working in Heber at the time, commuting an hour
- 7:46Speaker 11: from West Jordan to Hebert.
- 7:47Speaker 10: It was miserable.
- 7:48Speaker 11: So I ended up getting a job in essentially located
- 7:51Speaker 11: school district in the Salt Lake Valley. I don't want
- 7:54Speaker 11: to say too much, Okay. He sent me a picture
- 7:57Speaker 11: of him and his kids, and I noticed that his
- 7:59Speaker 11: daughter had the city name on her shirt, and I go, hey,
- 8:03Speaker 11: do your kids go to school in that city? He goes, yeah,
- 8:05Speaker 11: to go crazy, I just got hired at a school
- 8:08Speaker 11: in that district. And he goes, really, what grade? I
- 8:10Speaker 11: go this grade? He goes, Wow, my daughter goes to
- 8:14Speaker 11: that school and she's going to be in that grade.
- 8:16Speaker 3: That's that's pretty unusual.
- 8:19Speaker 11: Yeah, And come August, when I get my class list.
- 8:21Speaker 11: Guess who's in my class?
- 8:22Speaker 3: Wow, there you go. Do you have to have do
- 8:25Speaker 3: you have to transfer?
- 8:26Speaker 6: Or no?
- 8:26Speaker 2: I was going to see, is there is there anything
- 8:28Speaker 2: crazy not to date somebody who who's child you're teaching.
- 8:32Speaker 1: You could just transfer the kid, you wouldn't have to
- 8:34Speaker 1: stop dating.
- 8:36Speaker 8: Nope.
- 8:37Speaker 11: She's been in my class the whole year and we've
- 8:38Speaker 11: hitten it from her the entire year.
- 8:40Speaker 8: She still has no idea that you're that's the tricky,
- 8:44Speaker 8: that's no clue.
- 8:46Speaker 3: That's good.
- 8:47Speaker 2: That could be awkward for Yeah, if if this works
- 8:50Speaker 2: out for you, let her know after.
- 8:53Speaker 3: Is she smart?
- 8:56Speaker 11: This is really quiet reserve, So she's she's smart. She is,
- 8:59Speaker 11: she's a kids.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Okay, all right, that's a good story. Thank you. That's wild.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Let us know if this continues. What what happens when
- 9:08Speaker 2: you finally tell her?
- 9:10Speaker 11: Yeah, school's out in four weeks, so we're probably gonna
- 9:12Speaker 11: tell her that.
- 9:13Speaker 4: And I hope I hope she I hope she likes
- 9:15Speaker 4: you as a teacher, because I could.
- 9:17Speaker 3: Get really uncomfortable you're dating her.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Dayton Old Miss Winterne, keep us updated later.
- 9:26Speaker 3: All right, Okay, thank you, Let's go to Rachel. Rachel
- 9:30Speaker 3: it's yeah, what, thank you? What is this? Oh? Brooches? Broach?
- 9:37Speaker 5: Good morning, Thanks for letting me listen. So I heard
- 9:43Speaker 5: Bill talk about brooches a week or so ago, and
- 9:46Speaker 5: I just want to let you know I am on that.
- 9:47Speaker 12: Wagon, and I've started collecting.
- 9:50Speaker 5: I have probably about six or seven right well, about
- 9:53Speaker 5: six I think broaches right now.
- 9:55Speaker 11: Where do you get them?
- 9:57Speaker 5: I've found a couple of consignment stores.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Mm hmm.
- 10:01Speaker 5: I don't know. I guess I'm premature, old lady, but
- 10:04Speaker 5: I guess I'm knocking on the door of old lady.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Where do you wear them? I mean, what part of
- 10:08Speaker 1: your clothing or do you wear them?
- 10:11Speaker 5: I do wear them. I wear them on like the
- 10:13Speaker 5: outside of my shirt, usually on my left side. I
- 10:16Speaker 5: work at a bank, and so yeah, yeah, more obnoxious
- 10:25Speaker 5: the better.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:26Speaker 3: They're usually just kind of cheap costume jewelry sort.
- 10:29Speaker 12: Of absolutely but makes them so fantastic.
- 10:32Speaker 3: Sometimes you can find ones that open up.
- 10:36Speaker 1: You can keep a little pellet of poison in there.
- 10:40Speaker 3: We go a little, a little little snort of something.
- 10:45Speaker 5: Well I was going to say that, but I didn't know.
- 10:48Speaker 3: It would not be seemingly for a bank employee.
- 10:50Speaker 5: No, Well, sometimes it's needed at a bank.
- 10:54Speaker 3: Well, thanks, thanks. I'd like to see your brooches sometimes
- 10:57Speaker 3: send us a picture.
- 10:57Speaker 5: All right, Yeah, they're pretty fun.
- 11:06Speaker 3: How do you approach broke? What I'd like to approach
- 11:09Speaker 3: a brooch? Who is this? H six? Yeah? What's up?
- 11:15Speaker 10: Hey? I'd like the second what Scott mentioned, My sister
- 11:19Speaker 10: passed away from colon cancer a few years ago. I
- 11:23Speaker 10: just got screened myself. But what I wanted to talk
- 11:27Speaker 10: to you all about is I just want to beg
- 11:29Speaker 10: everybody to take it slow and uh stay alert out there. Uh.
- 11:36Speaker 10: Eleven year old I think was struck by a car
- 11:41Speaker 10: in my neighborhood a few weeks ago and is in
- 11:44Speaker 10: a coma. So I know it's a it's a commuter town,
- 11:49Speaker 10: like people are just traveling through to get to where
- 11:51Speaker 10: they need to go. But take it easy.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Yeah all right, okay, thank you, thank you, Fia. All right,
- 11:59Speaker 3: Ranger Kate is here.
- 12:01Speaker 7: Yeah, I guy.
- 12:05Speaker 12: I wanted to touch on what Bill mentioned about the
- 12:07Speaker 12: license plates earlier, so part of you know, maybe Ranger Caate.
- 12:12Speaker 12: I actually got inspired and got a personalized license plate
- 12:15Speaker 12: a couple of months ago that now says Ranger Caate
- 12:17Speaker 12: on it. And when it arrived, I thought it was
- 12:20Speaker 12: fake because it's flat and yeah, plastic, they're no longer
- 12:25Speaker 12: made of metal. There's no raised letters or anything on them. Like,
- 12:29Speaker 12: this has got to be fake. And then you know,
- 12:32Speaker 12: comes with an accompanying letter telling you about all the
- 12:35Speaker 12: new license plate laws, and I'm like, I think that
- 12:38Speaker 12: this is just a tash grab so that people are
- 12:39Speaker 12: replacing their license plates more often, so they're going to
- 12:42Speaker 12: fall apart from all the weather you think exposed to
- 12:45Speaker 12: the elements on these plastic Oh, they're so cheap, they're
- 12:47Speaker 12: so cheap.
- 12:48Speaker 4: Now, yeah, I felt the same way when I got mine.
- 12:50Speaker 4: Just recently, I got one of the black ones, and
- 12:53Speaker 4: it just didn't.
- 12:54Speaker 3: Seem it's plastic real, It didn't seem real it's plastic.
- 12:57Speaker 4: Well no, it's it was metal, but it just something
- 13:00Speaker 4: about it that would just seems cheap.
- 13:02Speaker 3: You know.
- 13:03Speaker 12: Well, mine feels like it's plastic, like you your ticket,
- 13:07Speaker 12: you know, like with your fingers.
- 13:09Speaker 3: It doesn't like metal. It's thinner metals. Yeah, it's it's
- 13:13Speaker 3: really thin. All right.
- 13:15Speaker 12: Well mine's the delicate arts one of course.
- 13:17Speaker 3: All right, thank you, thank you.
- 13:21Speaker 4: All right, we just have just barely enough time for
- 13:24Speaker 4: Hunter hellounter, Hello, Yeah.
- 13:26Speaker 7: What good morning.
- 13:28Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 13:29Speaker 7: I just wanted to tell go ahead.
- 13:32Speaker 3: No, go, it's you Hunter.
- 13:34Speaker 5: Go.
- 13:35Speaker 7: Okay, okay. I just wanted to quickly say there's a
- 13:38Speaker 7: lot going on right now. Medicaid is under attack. If
- 13:42Speaker 7: you want to reach your local officials, you can go
- 13:45Speaker 7: to Protect Medicaid utah dot org. They have a petition sign.
- 13:50Speaker 3: Protect Medicaid utah dot org. Thank you, thank you. Everyone
- 13:53Speaker 3: should do that. Yes, I'll do it right now, thanks Hunter,
- 13:57Speaker 3: Thank you. Hunter. All right, there's a hello
- 13:59Speaker 1: Yeah, Hello, What a lovely range of topics today to
