- 0:36you will. And I have, and I've had to

- 1:53you once again welcome to the King James podcast and today
- 1:57I've got with me a very, very, very special guest fighting out
- 2:03of Los Angeles, United States of America.
- 2:07Make welcome, Shannon, the step into your miracle author Bishop.
- 2:15How are you, Shannon Mitchell? I live.
- 2:23Wow, are you pumped for this one?
- 2:26Because I just gave you a Bruce buffer introduction you give.
- 2:29Beautiful introduction. Thank you.
- 2:32You're welcome, You're welcome. You're thinking, oh, who is
- 2:35Shannon Michel now is you're a fighter.
- 2:37You know, it's just gonna be. I'm a lot of things.
- 2:39There's a lot of layers to this individual, but yes, I am.
- 2:43I'm just right now, again, I stay super present and I love
- 2:47who I am and what I have to share and give and whatever that
- 2:52sequence is, I love being in it. And this morning, it's you and
- 2:55I. Oh wow, absolutely, absolutely.
- 2:58You've got a lot to share. You're not a fighter, you know,
- 3:01in the cage and the Octagon and the rink, or you are a fighter
- 3:05in life. And that is why you are the
- 3:11prestigious author of Step Into Your Miracle.
- 3:15But before we step into our miracle, let us step into the
- 3:18troubled waters first. Of course, you know, would I say
- 3:29probably the disasters are what lead to the miracles, right?
- 3:33So for those people who are just meeting you for the first time,
- 3:38I'm not meeting you for the first time.
- 3:40So I am privileged. Those people meeting you for the
- 3:43first time, how would you describe the journey that
- 3:45brought you to where you are today?
- 3:49It's it's been many layers, but I'll start with approximately 3
- 3:54years ago, I was in a very severe motorcycle accident which
- 3:58changed my life. I was broken like you name it.
- 4:02I mean, some are obvious in so many pieces, brain mostly.
- 4:08And and I, I sat and I was, and these are things I was told too,
- 4:12because I had traumatic brain injury and they kept me in a
- 4:15coma for a few months and they had to put all my parts and
- 4:18pieces back together. And I was in the hospital for
- 4:20three months total. And then I came home and at the
- 4:24back end, I was just relearning everything because I didn't even
- 4:29know like at the beginning phases, who my daughter was,
- 4:34what I, what I, where I was physically like I kept thinking
- 4:38I was in a different state. I kept waking up and thinking I
- 4:41was in a different state. And you know, and it took a long
- 4:44time to kind of come back to who I am and who I became post all
- 4:49of that because I became a very different person, but still very
- 4:53similar to what I call the Shannon Michelle one and the
- 4:57Shannon Michelle 2. And it's.
- 4:59A seasonal movie. Yes, it is.
- 5:02And then I don't, I mean there's layers of it that we can get
- 5:07into however you'd like to. Definitely.
- 5:11You take the lead, you know, and of course, that's why we have to
- 5:14step into the miracle. You know, you start from the
- 5:16disaster, yes, and leading to the miracle.
- 5:21But I'd like to speak about how much I relate to your experience
- 5:29in life. You know, there are always
- 5:31turning points in life for great people like yourself and myself.
- 5:37By extension, I very much understand what it means to be
- 5:41in a life threatening accident as well.
- 5:43We've had this conversation and for me, I'm, I'm grateful it, it
- 5:48did not take, but I don't know, it took a lot for me, but maybe
- 5:54not as much as it could possibly be because even till today, I
- 5:59still feel the feel the pains, you know, muscular, muscular.
- 6:03Is it, what do you call it? Musculoskeletal?
- 6:05You know, pains, you know, in the back and it's, it's not
- 6:09funny, you know, when you leave a pains, but sometimes in life,
- 6:14pains actually trigger you to pursue your purpose in life.
- 6:20And when you pursue your purpose, you can attain power.
- 6:24And with power, you can make impact.
- 6:26So for me, it made me see life differently.
- 6:31It made me more grateful about life.
- 6:33It made me more resilient. It made me, you know, more
- 6:40willing to chase my purpose and my passion, 'cause, you know,
- 6:50life is a privilege. It's not a right.
- 6:53And if you do not chase your passion, if you don't chase your
- 6:57purpose, you won't be able to make impact in life, right?
- 7:00So for me, that's, you know what I'll just say simply, but it's
- 7:05not about me today. It's about you.
- 7:07And you know your extraordinary story.
- 7:11You know what? When you think about the first
- 7:13slogan of this podcast, it was sharing the stories of ordinary
- 7:16people doing extraordinary things.
- 7:19And you fit perfectly into that line.
- 7:24Thank you I. Thank you for coming today.
- 7:28I have a lot of gratitude as well for for for every every
- 7:34minute of every day that I am now alive.
- 7:38And I love that I can see the world in such a different from
- 7:43different views or a different view completely than I did
- 7:47before, Where it's like to have gratitude for the littlest
- 7:53things, which are the most important, you know, is to me
- 7:57the most empowering thing that any person can gain.
- 8:00And if it is so simple sometimes, but every moment,
- 8:05every moment is staying present and just taking in what is being
- 8:09shown and spoken through you and to you.
- 8:12And sometimes we get lost in the mess of everything else.
- 8:15And it's very easy to get convoluted in your life and not
- 8:21see yourself. And I think the most important
- 8:23thing that I hope to share is like, how can you get through
- 8:28and to see your true self, you know to.
- 8:34See your true self, you know, So somebody on this podcast once
- 8:36said adversity introduces a man to himself.
- 8:42Yes, it can. I can't.
- 8:44I think layers in life show us, lead us, guide us, teach us, and
- 8:50sometimes we need to be more broken than others to really
- 8:55wake up. At least that's how I feel.
- 8:58I, I think that we go through, as you just said, the trials and
- 9:03tribulations of things for growth, for love, for
- 9:09understanding. And when you can see trauma in
- 9:13that way, that's a beautiful place to sit when bad things
- 9:17happen and you don't take it personally and you don't think
- 9:21that it was supposed to happen to you, but you actually take,
- 9:25take in what you're being taught and then grow even bigger.
- 9:29I mean, that's, that's empowering.
- 9:33Yeah, you talk about growth and I'm grateful you're talking
- 9:37about growth because why do we look into the Moto or the
- 9:47subtitle of this podcast right now, July 2025?
- 9:53It is growth mindset, leadership and business insights, right?
- 9:58Good mindset is at the core. That's a foundation of what this
- 10:03podcast is built on. And I'm grateful that you are
- 10:08highlighting it and you are putting it out there in, you
- 10:12know, the limelight, that it deserves the spotlight in it and
- 10:18letting people know that it is essential for you to have a
- 10:21growth mindset, for you to have self discovery, self fulfilment
- 10:29and self actualization. And I appreciate you very much
- 10:34for that. You know, they say sticks and
- 10:37stones may break my bones, but words won't harm me, right?
- 10:42But I'd like for you to talk to that.
- 10:44You know, when you're broken as a person, but your soul, your
- 10:50spirit is not broken. I think that is the real
- 10:53resilience. Yeah.
- 10:55People just use the word resilient, right?
- 10:58But it takes a lot to be resilient.
- 11:01Yes, it does. Sometimes it's even hard to see
- 11:05yourself as resilient because like it, just like, yes, I am
- 11:10and yes, I will continue to be and yes, I will continue to feel
- 11:15like I'm not because it's a mix of all of it and it's OK to be
- 11:21resilient, feel resilient and also feel broken.
- 11:25Like all of it, all of it gives you power, you know, it's all
- 11:30insightful channels to how you can be the best you you can be.
- 11:35And to me, the resilience in my life has been leaps and bounds
- 11:39bigger than most. Between my motorcycle accident,
- 11:43being in a traumatic brain injury that I remember being mid
- 11:48state. And that's the only thing that I
- 11:50can remember is literally almost like being held in between life
- 11:55and death and being surrounded by angels and, and that being
- 12:00what saved me to come back in a way for my daughter.
- 12:05And then I came back and came back so broken.
- 12:08And I, I feel like I knew what I was having to come back into
- 12:12before I even made. I don't know if it'd be called
- 12:15the decision to come back, but I do think that there was a moment
- 12:19where I was in between and I could see a better place than
- 12:23where my body SAT. And that that's the resilience
- 12:28of coming back into something that's so broken that you're
- 12:32able to move through it and be in it and learn from it and not
- 12:36let it break you spiritually, You know, so like I was, I was
- 12:41given the gift of, of, of, of seeing all of me.
- 12:48Not the parts that I can remember, not the parts I want
- 12:50to be, but the the full me. You know, it literally reminds
- 12:57me of when they say giving up the ghost, right?
- 13:01And a lot of people never understand it in their lifetime
- 13:05what it means to be in between. It's very hard to even
- 13:11verbalise. It's hard.
- 13:13And I think like people experience it in different ways.
- 13:16For me, I probably haven't said this before, but yeah, in that
- 13:20accident, I know there was like 30 seconds of my life that I
- 13:25cannot account for. But what I remember is I felt
- 13:30like I was going into a dark hole, right?
- 13:34I felt like just crumbling into that hole and I did not like and
- 13:41I'm like, no, I can't go there, man.
- 13:43Like I will. I will stop on lions, period.
- 13:46The lions are behind me. And I know I just, you know, the
- 13:51fact that consciousness, right. And it was scary.
- 13:55But me, I'm, I'm not the type of person to be scared, you know,
- 14:00on any, any given day, yeah, I was just relaxed.
- 14:06And next thing I saw people come in or like, oh, it's a guy still
- 14:09alive. Is he still alive?
- 14:10And then, you know, they were jacking the doors open.
- 14:13And then so I was trapped with the seat belt.
- 14:16And I looked at my hands, blood dripping, got my body blood.
- 14:20Then the blood was what brought me to reality.
- 14:23Like, hey man, what's going on here?
- 14:27This is not heaven yet. What is good on here?
- 14:32Yeah, everybody has their own beliefs of, you know, of, you
- 14:35know, the the heaven and hell version and there's all kinds of
- 14:38different ways that we can express that.
- 14:41But you had a moment where you woke, where you re woke up.
- 14:45Right. Yeah.
- 14:46Yeah. And I just heard the people
- 14:49shout, hey, thank God. Thank God that like I was
- 14:53hearing different voices. I won't like sort of guy who was
- 14:56trying to even steal from me. I I don't want to use curse
- 15:00words, but May God, May God, May God bless him like.
- 15:03No, no, no. But I love that.
- 15:04You're the guy was whispering. He was whispering into my ears.
- 15:06Do you have any valuables in the car?
- 15:08And then I'm like, he wouldn't have valuables.
- 15:13When I tell you I do you think I'm stupid?
- 15:18I may be vulnerable, but I'm not.
- 15:20I'm not, I'm not, I'm not stupid, but well.
- 15:25Thanks for sharing that. I just, I love it when I can
- 15:29experience somebody else's experiences through their words,
- 15:33through their mouth. And you know, you sharing that
- 15:35story with me is like there are all these connections and all
- 15:39these moments of being exactly who you are and sharing who you
- 15:44are that are so important and this moment right now.
- 15:48I was like, I didn't know that. That's really good to know, but
- 15:52you also. That is why, that's why I always
- 15:55say this, that I'm the most authentic person walking the
- 15:57surface of the earth, hence I'm an endangered species.
- 16:01You guys need to protect me. Number one, most authentic.
- 16:07I guess Michelle is probably like number #99 on the rankings.
- 16:11You need to work harder to come up to my level.
- 16:14Guy, are you're talking about me, Michelle.
- 16:16Shannon. Michelle.
- 16:17OK, I got lost for a second. Yeah.
- 16:19You're night tonight, you know, But take heart, take so listen
- 16:21the fact that you're more than 7 billion people.
- 16:24Yes, I'm going to I'm going to pay honour to this moment and I
- 16:31appreciation and gratitude for you sharing your your experience
- 16:36with me. I'm giving you the ranking.
- 16:40I think you're the top 100 in the world.
- 16:44And you know, I love about this moment.
- 16:46I love that you're sharing that and I have no idea what that
- 16:49means and I really don't care. I just don't.
- 16:54I'm serious, I'm honest, like. OK, OK.
- 16:59That is going to that is going to bump you up the rankings
- 17:01because you what? Happened my honesty.
- 17:07Honesty Honesty is a mature. It is.
- 17:11A Honesty is key to authenticity.
- 17:13It is. It is.
- 17:14It is. It is, you know.
- 17:16Some. People enjoy it and some people
- 17:18don't, you know? Yes, absolutely, you know, it.
- 17:22It makes you annoying to people that let's let's not lie.
- 17:25Yes, it it makes you annoying to people, but it also makes you
- 17:29like highly, highly appreciated by people, especially when they
- 17:33really need to hear the truth and when they need you know that
- 17:38unbiased, you know, opinion or judgement or discretion.
- 17:43Now, people will always be trying to achieve because they
- 17:46know that what they see is what they get.
- 17:50You know, no fluff you you're real, right?
- 17:54And look how. That feels to my realness is.
- 17:59Well, why are you consistently real?
- 18:01You know, it makes you dependable and reliable.
- 18:07Yes, yes, we keep talking about stepping to your miracle.
- 18:10Let's step into your miracle. You know it's deeply evocating,
- 18:14right? But what does that word miracle
- 18:16personally mean to you? I am a blessing.
- 18:20I am I am a connection that is here to share with others.
- 18:25And I feel like I've been blessed in ways that there are
- 18:29no words that could explain it. And miracle is a word that
- 18:32people can connect with. I am a miracle.
- 18:35And the fact that I'm sitting here even having this
- 18:38conversation with you right now is a miracle.
- 18:40And everyday even post all of the obvious chaos miracles that
- 18:46happened, I still everyday feel surrounded by such greatness and
- 18:56wonder that I'm I'm still sitting here going like, oh, oh,
- 19:00OK, I'll have more. And that to me is a miracle to
- 19:04just keep accepting all the goodness and to keep giving all
- 19:07of what I have to share. I.
- 19:13Yeah, you know the idea that popped in my head right now.
- 19:15Tell me, OK, I'm about to give you a middle name, right.
- 19:20So you are a miracle. Where I come from in Nigeria, in
- 19:25Yoruba language, miracle is called Iyano.
- 19:29Iyano. That's a yeah, that's a your my
- 19:32word for miracle. And I see right here our
- 19:37audience are not going to be able to see it because this this
- 19:39the studio camera I have my middle name is CMA.
- 19:44That's AI O you are Shannon Michelle, but you don't have
- 19:49that middle name. So I'm going to give you Yano.
- 19:51So you're going to be SIM that SIM.
- 19:54I like it. Let's write it in.
- 19:58You're going to have you're going to have to text me that so
- 20:00or e-mail me. That's why I remember.
- 20:02Absolutely. You know in in the post, in the
- 20:04post interview e-mail, I'm going to add it to it.
- 20:06Just your new name, Yanu. That is miracle.
- 20:10I add it to your LinkedIn, yes. I will add it to my LinkedIn as
- 20:13well. Absolutely.
- 20:14I can I add it where I can to remember.
- 20:16And I, I that's the other thing as I keep understanding that
- 20:21each of these moments are empowering and wonderful.
- 20:23And I don't know what I'm going to remember about any of this
- 20:26other than now there's going to be this, you know, version I can
- 20:32go back and look at and relearn what I said.
- 20:34And we know even within my book, like I have to keep looking at
- 20:38it, listening to it and reading it to remember what I said in my
- 20:42own book. So there's part of me that is
- 20:47found a way to not forget things that are important.
- 20:51That moment that you just shared with me, that was inspiring for
- 20:54me. I can't wait to see it.
- 20:56I can't wait to to add it to my, my, what do you call that
- 21:00lineage? You know, whatever.
- 21:01I don't even know the word you do, you'd use to put it in
- 21:03there. But I I like that.
- 21:05That was inspiring to give to me.
- 21:08I you're welcome. I always try to give people hope
- 21:11and I feel blessed, you know, to be that messenger of hope
- 21:19because hope is basically the substance of life.
- 21:23Even the Bible says faith is the substance of things, you know,
- 21:27says is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of
- 21:30things not seen. So hope is actually very, very
- 21:33important. Let's think about what life
- 21:35would be without hope. Oh absolutely it would.
- 21:40A lot of people live life without hope and that is always
- 21:44so sad to me when they can't, when they can't find places
- 21:49within either themselves or their environments where they
- 21:52can see something better and bigger, less painful, more
- 21:56inspiring. Again, you can put lots of words
- 21:58around it, but many people sit in doubt and not in help.
- 22:03And that makes me sad because I can't imagine.
- 22:06I can't imagine having wake up, woken up and not heard the birds
- 22:10and only felt the pain. You know, is that could have
- 22:14been what I would have done and that would not have been pretty
- 22:17physically, mentally, spiritually, you name it.
- 22:21It's important to have that hope that you're talking about.
- 22:23And I'm, I'm again a big believer in faith and being
- 22:28present and aware. You know, I.
- 22:32Want to talk about your book, right?
- 22:35Step it into your miracle. What?
- 22:39What really inspired you to try to document your experience
- 22:48despite the fact that you couldn't even, you know, put it
- 22:53together, you know, articulate it, you know, in a way that you
- 22:59could remember in detail or there must have been some
- 23:04inspiration, some thought process.
- 23:07And of course, like that motivation, the the the
- 23:12proverbial, would I say straw that broke the camel's back.
- 23:16Yes, it started when I was in the nursing hospital and I was
- 23:20so frustrated with waking up and then being told, I already told
- 23:25you that, but don't you know where you are?
- 23:27I remember being held. Somebody came and held my phone
- 23:29to me and I was like, they're like, do you remember that?
- 23:33I'm like, no. And they're like, that's your
- 23:35phone. You know, there's pictures on
- 23:37here. And I had in the moments where I
- 23:38was relearning my whole life and I knew that the only way that I
- 23:44could kind of keep track of things were speaking into my
- 23:48phone because both of my wrists were broken.
- 23:50Only my left hand worked, but I was a right-hander.
- 23:53There were so many layers of having to try to remember who I
- 23:58was. And with that was me speaking
- 24:01into my phone like to, to like core, like remembering to tell
- 24:06the nurse I ate and then the nurse saying, but you didn't eat
- 24:08today and that's why you have the feeding tube.
- 24:10And I said, but I did, I had breakfast.
- 24:12And she goes, that was yesterday.
- 24:13And there were these moments where I had to keep again,
- 24:17giving myself the patience to relearn and relearn and relearn.
- 24:23And that came with speaking into my phone.
- 24:25And that worked. And then one day I woke up again
- 24:30just from this kind of screaming voice, Finish your book, finish
- 24:35your book. And I was like, I remember
- 24:38shaking, shaking my head and waking up dream state or, or
- 24:41spiritually and being told that. And I'm like, but I can't even
- 24:45read yet. I don't even read again yet.
- 24:49And how am I supposed to write a book called one of my best
- 24:51friends? And she's like, well, there's
- 24:53something called the ghostwriter.
- 24:54And have you looked at your phone, Shannon?
- 24:56I'm like, no, she's like, there's like 300 notes in your
- 25:01phone day by day of your journey.
- 25:05And she didn't say it that way, but you know, she's like, it's
- 25:07documented in there. Why don't you take hold?
- 25:09On just. Speaking into my phone and so
- 25:14you know that the coming to the point where I realised I was
- 25:18going to be capable of at least expressing myself even though I
- 25:22couldn't do certain things that I used to run.
- 25:24I ran my own company previous to my accident.
- 25:27That's the other back end of all this is I was a very motivated
- 25:32and very successful interior designer on the level that a lot
- 25:36of people again, wouldn't understand.
- 25:39But I had my own company, I had employees, we had gone through
- 25:43even the COVID stuff where everything was, you know, had to
- 25:46be brought home and blah, blah, blah.
- 25:48But and I have a daughter, a single mom, you name it.
- 25:51I'm kind of a badass even before this all happened.
- 25:55And so when I woke up, I was kind of like, no, I don't know
- 25:59what a phone is, but I used to, you know, I used to run a
- 26:02company. And it was that again, Ying and
- 26:05Ying of trying to find myself again, but also giving myself
- 26:09the freedom to be new and to be a new me.
- 26:13And that's again, what sits here today is not there's the
- 26:16elements of Shannon, Michelle one, but I am now a different
- 26:21person and I love her. And she's self acceptance.
- 26:27Self acceptance. Yeah, daily self acceptance
- 26:30again, being present. You cannot love yourself without
- 26:33accepting yourself. Yeah, and also being kind to
- 26:36yourself, you know, that's a big part of being human and and
- 26:44being able to succeed in whichever way that you want to
- 26:47as again, as a mother, as a boss, as a, as a broken person.
- 26:55You know, I've been a lot of things and I have a lot to share
- 26:59about the trials and tribulations of what I've been
- 27:02through. And then this is what's on the
- 27:04back end. I'm grateful.
- 27:08Attitude is good attitude, but you know, talking about breaking
- 27:14through the pain, you, you definitely have been through a
- 27:18lot of pain and pain is not something that is.
- 27:23But I say interesting at all. But yeah, unfortunately life has
- 27:29its way of just, you know, bringing pains our way.
- 27:36And different people experience pain in different ways.
- 27:40That's just true. And you've actually spoken about
- 27:44the emotional wounds, the generational trauma, right?
- 27:48But what were some pivotal moments that pushed you to face
- 27:51your own healing journey 'cause it is when I say a conscious
- 27:56decision to get on that path, you know.
- 28:01I can tell you the main thing, the main word is to be
- 28:05vulnerable. I was such a badass before that.
- 28:08I thought vulnerability was fragile and I did not show it to
- 28:13myself very often. I did not know how to be cared
- 28:17for as well as I could care for others.
- 28:20And I, I think that was one of my biggest breakthroughs was
- 28:23that vulnerability is so empowering and to be broken in,
- 28:29you know, again, the physical ways, but also the mental ways
- 28:31and the spiritual ways. It's just, it breaks you open to
- 28:35build more. And the vulnerability part was
- 28:38something that I just, I couldn't, I couldn't deal with
- 28:42previously. And I understand why.
- 28:45And now I see so clearly, again, big picture, what it all can
- 28:50mean if you allow yourself to be fully everything, broken,
- 28:56vulnerable, loving, kind, committed, successful.
- 29:02We could do it. And there's so many layers to
- 29:04it. But to see all of that in
- 29:06yourself is so it's so important.
- 29:10Vulnerable question. Sometimes.
- 29:13I yes, yes, it does, you know, but you know, being vulnerable
- 29:17is such a very hard thing to do, especially if you're a person
- 29:22with an elevated ego. So it's a function of you versus
- 29:27your ego. How did you deal with that?
- 29:30I I would never let my ego play or win.
- 29:34I had to keep reminding myself that the brain, which is the ego
- 29:41which thinks it knows more than others and or can understand
- 29:45things better than others, that has to be shut down.
- 29:49You don't know more than others. You can't be more than others.
- 29:52You are who you are and that's huge.
- 29:55And that's where I found I would have to tell myself.
- 29:59And it was, let me restate that it was a little bit of the
- 30:03moments where I would try to, I would remember who I was and I
- 30:07was only trying to get back to where I was.
- 30:09And when I realised that I needed to give up on regaining
- 30:13what I had, but just being I am that alone again gave me power
- 30:20to reboot and reframe my brain and my body.
- 30:26There was a there was a huge moment that happened and it's in
- 30:31my book as well, But I didn't want it to originally be in
- 30:34there because I didn't think it was important.
- 30:35But my daughter was like, no, is I got breast cancer after all of
- 30:39that. And, and so I went through all
- 30:43of that mental and physical trauma from my body and the
- 30:47brokenness in my brain. And about a year and a half
- 30:50later, you know, they're doing the tests and they're like, and
- 30:53I was like, no, no, no, I was, I was like, I laughed when they
- 30:56told me that's because I've been through so much trauma.
- 31:00I thought cancer. And I had to learn that just
- 31:04because you've been through as much as you've been through it
- 31:07doesn't make you unbreakable. You still have to be in the
- 31:12realisation that you're not better than anything, you're not
- 31:16bigger or you haven't been through more than anything.
- 31:19And that moment was one of the largest shifts was like, I've
- 31:24got to stop worrying about fixing my brain, my body, and
- 31:27I've got to worry about cancer. Not then that took over and I
- 31:30was like hysterically crying and overwhelmed again that I would
- 31:35have to go through what this No. So again, it taught me though,
- 31:40because you think you've been through enough.
- 31:43And if you think you have, then you haven't.
- 31:46Keep understanding that your vulnerability and your existence
- 31:50is just staying present and and taking in the good and the bad
- 31:54and not not thinking that you've been through too much because
- 31:59you can think that too, you know?
- 32:02It's, it's a, it's a lot to take in.
- 32:04It just reminds me of something that we, we say back home,
- 32:06Nigeria, they say Walhalla. No, they finish.
- 32:10Do you know what Walhalla is? Walhalla is problems.
- 32:13OK. I said it's speech and English
- 32:15Walhalla. No, they finish.
- 32:17Meaning problems don't ever finish.
- 32:20Once you get to know one, life doesn't ever give you breaks.
- 32:26I mean, that's part of the ego too.
- 32:28And if you allow the ego to be in control of your existence,
- 32:32you think you've got control, then that's bullshit because we
- 32:37don't control anything. We exist, we do the best we can
- 32:41and then shit. And I don't sometimes cuss
- 32:44words. I hope you don't mind.
- 32:46Feel free, unfiltered. And I think I love the Nigerian
- 32:50spirit a lot. You know, I love the Nigerian
- 32:52spirit. Nigerians tell you no matter
- 32:55what you're going through in life, just try.
- 32:57Try to enjoy yourself first, try to eat and every I love every
- 33:01other thing is secondary. Yeah, it is that.
- 33:05Shout out to my Nigerian people. This all flag I.
- 33:09Love it. I love it.
- 33:11I wait. I I can't wait to have them in
- 33:14the Los Angeles for the Olympics.
- 33:16I'm telling you, when you see that flag, I treat my people
- 33:19nice. And of course, a shout out to
- 33:21the United States of America, American Independence Day today,
- 33:24July, for love and respect to that country, the land of the
- 33:29free and the home of the brave. And I very much love the
- 33:32American dream. You know, anybody can be
- 33:34anything as long as you put in the work.
- 33:37You know, it's aligned to my philosophy.
- 33:39Conceive, believe, strive to thrive and achieve.
- 33:46Think that's pretty much American dream.
- 33:48And of course, Speaking of America, America is a country
- 33:50that is actually beautiful. On the foundation of faith, I
- 33:53say in God we trust, right? Aha.
- 33:57So, Speaking of faith, how did your faith shape and evolve
- 34:02during these darkest moments? That's a great question.
- 34:08That is a great question. I think what I gained within my
- 34:16beliefs and my faith in my through my recovery is that we
- 34:21are, we are all one. There is a universal oneness
- 34:26that we need to recognise and share and know that what affects
- 34:35me effects you and what I gain, you gain.
- 34:39And to know that we, we, again, everything is connected in a
- 34:43way. And my faith is that to, to, to
- 34:47know that when I look at in the individual, no matter in what
- 34:53format it is because there's been so many over the last three
- 34:57years for me, I feel a connection to everything and
- 35:02everybody. And that is where my faith lies
- 35:08in supporting and helping as much as I can.
- 35:13Because the more I do that, the more I can get have to give.
- 35:17And I just want to give and give and give.
- 35:19And I have to remember to have faith in myself, to have faith
- 35:24in others. Faith in yourself and faith in
- 35:27others you know that essentially also includes giving people
- 35:33grace because you know there are people.
- 35:36That's my daughter's name, by the way.
- 35:39Whoa, what a coincidence. But not giving people your
- 35:46daughter anyways? No, no, no.
- 35:47No, I, I The word is. The word has a lot of value in
- 35:51all kinds of ways for me, but my daughter is.
- 35:54Is a top. Notch in my lives.
- 36:00She's a she's a explosion of grace.
- 36:04Wow, an explosion of grace. I think Gracie in is a Hebrew.
- 36:08Nice charisk. She is.
- 36:11She's a blend. She's a blend of all graduated
- 36:15from college. I'm very.
- 36:17Proud of her. That is Grace.
- 36:19I I am proud of her. I think I, I've seen something
- 36:21on social media was a yesterday or earlier today.
- 36:25There's there is a your sea fighter called Dustin Povier is
- 36:28retiring soon. I think ESPN asked him what's
- 36:34what's your advice to to younger fighters this generation And he
- 36:37said something, go to college. That's interesting, yeah.
- 36:43I always say this, education is important.
- 36:46Yeah, he did. He did.
- 36:47He did. He's educated.
- 36:49Education is the best legacy. Guys take education very
- 36:53seriously. If you're educated, you may not
- 36:57be very rich or you will never be very poor.
- 37:00So how about that? I be honest with you, I agree.
- 37:04Obviously, my daughter just graduated from college.
- 37:06It was a goal of her dad's in mind for her to have that
- 37:10achievement. I personally did not go to
- 37:13college. I built a business from the age
- 37:17of 22 with such faith in myself, in the chaos I come from that I
- 37:28just wanted to get out. I just wanted to be different.
- 37:30And I also didn't think I was very smart previously, You know,
- 37:35the, the, the numbers game, the AB CS, whatever.
- 37:38I personally didn't think I was very smart and I'm brilliant.
- 37:41But it's whatever ways that we find ourselves within.
- 37:46Again, our life is education sometimes comes from the home
- 37:51base of, you know, your parents and your environment.
- 37:55And sometimes it needs to be shown that the world is bigger
- 37:59than that. And college is a place that you
- 38:02can see all of that as well. And I just think that for people
- 38:05who can can grow from within and and learn and college is one of
- 38:13the routes that people can do that with.
- 38:15And some people it's, it's on fire for, for me, it made me
- 38:20feel stupid because I didn't think I did very well.
- 38:24So I, I bowed out like half, I was like into my first or second
- 38:28semester and I'm like, I, I was in college, but I was like, I
- 38:31thought I wasn't smart enough to do this.
- 38:33So just believe in yourself a little more than what the
- 38:36numbers tell you sometimes as well.
- 38:38All learn differently. So it's it's, it's, it's a
- 38:42balance. I think, yeah, it is a balance,
- 38:46right? And of course, you know, so some
- 38:48of the greatest, you know, companies, businesses in the
- 38:51world have actually abused by college dropouts.
- 38:54Your neck of the woods, you, you know, the stories, Steve Jobs,
- 38:57Bill Gates and I love those guys, even Mark Zuckerberg
- 39:01college dropouts. But these are smart kids.
- 39:04This are smart guys. So if you know a smart person,
- 39:07right, and you think you because you want to drop out of college,
- 39:11I will be successful. I wish you good luck.
- 39:13Yes, and again, we all, I guess that's the open door too, is
- 39:17know that you will find your way.
- 39:19And for each of us, it's different for and and big
- 39:22picture. Some of it's obvious like these
- 39:24are ABC's that work and get you certain places in a certain way.
- 39:30And and there's there's that has worked as well.
- 39:35And but just again, keep listening here.
- 39:41I think that that gets that'll tell you everything.
- 39:44Let your heart tell you that you're.
- 39:46I always say, you know, speaking from my heart is the best place
- 39:51to be. I I do from here, but sometimes
- 39:55this is a little more ego when I speak from here, It's not.
- 39:59It's just truth. A fine blend of logic and
- 40:04emotions is actually very, very good for optimising your
- 40:10decision making. But I guess you, you'd agree
- 40:13with me that there's a place of pushing yourself to, to extremes
- 40:20to your to, to extend beyond the limits that you previously
- 40:26thought, you know, of yourself. And I think that's one thing I
- 40:29appreciate about the educational system.
- 40:32I look at myself, for example, a lot of people see me today and
- 40:37see, oh, you are a chartered accountant.
- 40:39You have a first degree in economics, you have a master's
- 40:43in business administration. And they're like, oh, you're a
- 40:45numbers guy, You're good at numbers.
- 40:49But what they don't know is that I was very poor at numbers
- 40:55growing up. I'm an ADHD person, right?
- 40:58Or I had to discipline myself, push myself to the limits,
- 41:03right. And you know, sit down and say,
- 41:06OK, there are these numbers work in principles.
- 41:10If I apply myself, I can get to understand these things.
- 41:15Of course. Yeah, had a good degree, worked
- 41:19in the B core accounting firms, you know, cooking numbers for a
- 41:24living. But, and I even taught these
- 41:27things, you know, I, I taught some of the great accountants
- 41:33that we're seeing working in, you know, big institutions today
- 41:36from my country. But nobody knows that when you
- 41:40look back, I failed mathematics twice at what you call the O
- 41:47level. That is when you're done with
- 41:49secondary school or maybe high school, you guys call it.
- 41:53You have to write an exam before you get into university.
- 41:58I failed mathematics twice. They say the third time is a
- 42:03charm. Yeah, I got it right the third
- 42:05time. Well, and you?
- 42:07What does that tell you? Well, you had the just then, and
- 42:11you had the, Yeah, the resilience.
- 42:13Yeah, just found the inside. That.
- 42:16Yes, you can beat this. And I, I mean, I did that my
- 42:20whole life. I, I came from again, a very
- 42:23similar poor family moved all over like how many different
- 42:27places I lived in my childhood because we, we could only stay
- 42:30in a place for a year and then couldn't pay the rent and move
- 42:33on. Like layers and layers of chaos
- 42:36is what I grew up in as well. I mean, our chaos here in the
- 42:39States, different but similar, you know, but it was about, you
- 42:44know, being. Able It's a different level of
- 42:46chaos. It is it is a different level of
- 42:49chaos, but it is still chaos for the individual, especially the
- 42:53child within and the child within you.
- 42:55We, we go through these moments so that we can find our strength
- 42:59and our resilience and we can decide to take the next step and
- 43:03to again, that step into your miracle moment was like baby
- 43:08steps. That's the only way I can get
- 43:10back one step at a time. And I was able to do that a
- 43:13little bit every day, each day. And that's what I was able to
- 43:20come back. You know, a lot of people wear
- 43:24masks to cope. Most OK, I'll correct myself,
- 43:29But a lot of people let us just see, a lot of people that we
- 43:34know walk in the surface of the Earth are actually very, very
- 43:40fake. Especially in Los Angeles, we've
- 43:45got a lot of that here. I mean, we've got all of it, but
- 43:49we it's just on. It's on.
- 43:54Lost those steroids? Yes, very good.
- 43:57Yes. You know what helped you to
- 44:01start reclaiming your authentic self?
- 44:05Great question again. I think that moment again when I
- 44:09said that I had to stop comparing myself to the old me
- 44:16and just being OK with the new me is when I was able to see the
- 44:25broken person was going to be OK.
- 44:28This broken person was going to be different but was going to be
- 44:32able to not just survive but thrive again because I was a
- 44:37thriver. And I when I could see that
- 44:40within myself and I didn't question who I was anymore.
- 44:44And again, to get past the obvious things when I get up and
- 44:47look in the mirror every day, I would have to find comfort in my
- 44:51newness and and this, you know, again, the value of where I'm at
- 44:55now. It took a long time because I
- 44:58had to have so many posts. All of that, what I explained to
- 45:02you, post surgeries to fix things.
- 45:04It took a long time to find this person again.
- 45:07And I would just wake up again every morning.
- 45:12What's today? OK, this is who I am today.
- 45:16This is a new. Day.
- 45:19And and staying present is the only thing that helped me
- 45:22survive and and find myself again.
- 45:24Stay present, Shannon. Don't look at the past.
- 45:26Don't look at the future. Just here, just here and right
- 45:31now, that's all you get. Because tomorrow or yesterday
- 45:36isn't worth anything. It's only worth today to me.
- 45:40That value allowed me to come back.
- 45:43You know what I say, you are a work of art.
- 45:45Actually, when you look at heart, it's been pieced
- 45:48together, it is great to behold. And of course, the intrinsic
- 45:54value is greater than the extrinsic value.
- 46:00You know, I tell people when you peek, you know, a piece of
- 46:03currency, let me see the currency in my country, this is
- 46:07a £20 note, right? And of course I take this £20
- 46:11note, I drop it on the ground, I step in it.
- 46:14Even if I decide to maybe twist it and maybe turn a bit, what is
- 46:19it? It is still a £20 note.
- 46:22It doesn't change the value to a £5 note, £20 will always be
- 46:31greater than 5 LB so no matter what happens you know on the
- 46:38external. The trists and turns.
- 46:40It doesn't. The core is the core, right?
- 46:44The core is the core. Yeah, you are somebody that has
- 46:49been able to exemplify that little illustration, that
- 46:56narrative I just gave. And love and respect to you.
- 46:59Love and respect to you. You're.
- 47:01Filling my heart with joy right now.
- 47:02You are. You're welcome.
- 47:08I mean it. You know, I'm, I'm just
- 47:10privileged to, to, to be able to do that.
- 47:12And of course I'm grateful for, for that privilege.
- 47:14You know, I always say that I'm just really grateful and
- 47:19overwhelmed with gratitude being able to connect with the
- 47:24greatest of minds, you know, across the world in my time
- 47:30while I'm alive. People really don't get this
- 47:35right. The value that technology has
- 47:39given us to be able to connect with the most brilliant minds
- 47:44across the world. And for me not just to Only
- 47:48Connect with them to also project these voices like speaks
- 47:55philosopher and of course a lady in your end of the woods.
- 47:59You know, she conferred upon me the title.
- 48:01She said you are a modern day business philosopher.
- 48:05And I've taken it. I'm and I'm running with it, you
- 48:07know, a modern day business philosopher.
- 48:09That's you know who I am, That's what I am and that is what I'm
- 48:14operating as. You know, I love that.
- 48:16I remember, thank you. I remember growing up, you know,
- 48:20beating the ancient philosophers.
- 48:23And I remember as a young child I used to think, well, how wish
- 48:27I could have, you know, a conversation with some of these
- 48:31bright minds. And now growing up and
- 48:36technology is affording me the opportunity to connect with
- 48:41these bright minds, you know, gross.
- 48:43Back in the day, you would need to take a long trip, you know,
- 48:46just to go speak with a person like yourself.
- 48:49And I'm able to just do it connect and via the, the
- 48:53Internet, It's amazing. It's it's quite wild and I think
- 48:57a lot of people don't appreciate it.
- 48:59I brilliant and I agree and I it goes back to even when I was
- 49:03talking about my recovery, the idea that I had a good quality
- 49:07phone next to me allowed me to relearn and reconnect with who I
- 49:13was. And again, that's technology.
- 49:15My book came out of technology. Me speaking into it is how I was
- 49:21able to show myself. And this moment is exactly it.
- 49:25It's it's mind blowing in a way like we can't believe, but it's
- 49:29all it's all. Absolutely.
- 49:32You always talk about the old you and the new you.
- 49:37And of course, at some point you said you're not broken, you're
- 49:40buried. Better.
- 49:42Buried, that is, you probably had the old you buried and that
- 49:47is why you're able to move on with the new you.
- 49:51So can you speak briefly to that?
- 49:55And it was, it was knowing that or really learning that we are
- 50:07so important with who we are in this moment.
- 50:12And when I let go of the Shannon Michelle one, as we were talking
- 50:21about, it was like, and I still hold on to it.
- 50:24I still have moments where I'm like, I do something.
- 50:27I'm like, that's, that's the old me I got.
- 50:29I can't, I got to pull back on that a little bit.
- 50:31I can't be a non giver like I, I that probably isn't there, but I
- 50:40had to, I've had to learn. I still, it's not like it goes
- 50:42away, but I had to teach myself to not be or not put so much
- 50:47importance on who I was and put more importance on who I am.
- 50:52And again, I was a very empowering successful.
- 50:58I can see why I wanted to get back to where I was.
- 51:01I mean, I was top level on everything, few few mistakes,
- 51:05but top level and I kept wanting to get back to something that I
- 51:08was and that that wasn't possible.
- 51:11And I had to give myself the freedom to create a better new
- 51:15me. And so when I do say that the
- 51:18Shannon Michelle one versus the Shannon Michelle two, it's like
- 51:21I have to tell myself that not on a daily basis anymore, but
- 51:25for a while it was on a moment to moment basis.
- 51:27And now it is even when I'm trying to regain something, it's
- 51:32just knowing that I'm regaining it for this present me, not for
- 51:36the old me and not for that broken me because that one was
- 51:40very broken in its own way as well, emotionally, physically,
- 51:44trauma as a child, blah, blah, blah.
- 51:47And I, and I again, I, it's, it's much better, I would say,
- 51:51if you can let go of the past and let go of the mistakes and
- 51:57let go of the trauma so that you can wake up each morning and try
- 52:03it again and do something new and explore more.
- 52:08But if you're trying to hold on to the past that much, it
- 52:11doesn't give you the energy and the time to stay focused on the
- 52:14now. And the now is the learning, the
- 52:16giving, the expressing. Does that make sense?
- 52:20Absolutely. You know if you need to embrace
- 52:24your your reality in order to leave a life that is free of
- 52:31worries, right? It is what it is.
- 52:36The new reality is a new reality.
- 52:38But people and not just even people, even entire nations love
- 52:44to bask on, you know, the old glory and the former selves.
- 52:48But the greatest form of deceit is self deceit and the greatest
- 52:54form of delusion is self delusion.
- 52:57You know you need to you need to adjust to current realities and
- 53:03make the best, make the best out of life.
- 53:08And you know the person who said when life gives you lemons, make
- 53:11lemonades. The person is not mad.
- 53:14You know, person knew what they were saying, you just try to
- 53:18make the best out of, you know, whatever life gives you.
- 53:21And of course, you know, Speaking of making the best out
- 53:23of what life has given to you, you are doing that.
- 53:26You are an example of that. You know, you're a speaker,
- 53:29you're an author, you influence people, you inspire people.
- 53:34But behind, you know, all of the great work that you're doing out
- 53:38there. Sometimes irrational fears that
- 53:41you confront, you know, especially with stepping into
- 53:44the spotlight as a person. Absolutely, absolutely.
- 53:50I have I have no idea the new impact that's going to embrace
- 53:56me because it's going to be and has been overwhelming and
- 54:02difficult. And some days I wake up and I'm
- 54:06I'm like really what huh. And then some days I'm not.
- 54:11And each of these moments again, that allow me to share voice,
- 54:20give me the power to give. And that's, that's all I want to
- 54:27do. And even when I was getting
- 54:29ready this morning and I was like, oh, da da, da, da da.
- 54:32And I, I still have these moments where it's like, how is
- 54:35that going to feel? What am I going to say?
- 54:37What am I going to remember? I go through all of that because
- 54:41I don't know. And then I have to keep saying,
- 54:43Shannon, you're, you're super fucking smart.
- 54:45Just be present. It's not like you have to
- 54:48remember. You don't have to remember what
- 54:50happened yesterday. You don't have to remember what
- 54:52happened three years ago. What whatever the mess is, you
- 54:54don't have to remember it to be OK.
- 54:56You don't have to be a part of it to be the person you are.
- 55:00And again with brain trauma, trying to brain injury, you
- 55:03know, when it slices everything away, it's kind of, it's the
- 55:07most difficult thing I can imagine.
- 55:09But it was kind of a gift as well to find myself again, the
- 55:13full me. So I'm ready for all of it.
- 55:17And it's it's going to be overwhelming and it's going to
- 55:23be empowering and I don't know, but I don't really care if I
- 55:30know. Of warm and empowering, right?
- 55:34And Speaking of empowering, I would love for you to empower
- 55:40the audience. So for anybody out there who has
- 55:47actually experienced some sort of deep loss, trauma, betrayal,
- 55:52you know, life changing events, what's your word for them?
- 55:58What you were, you know, I would out there that's vulnerable.
- 56:04I would, I mean, the thing that I can share today is what guided
- 56:10me was kindness and self acceptance.
- 56:13And again, not not believing that you are are these other
- 56:22people not believing you? Are these other things just
- 56:25remembering that you, you are who you are and that's all that
- 56:29matters. When you have trauma happen to
- 56:31you, just keep going back into your heart and your soul and
- 56:36remembering who you are. Even though you feel like you're
- 56:40in a bit of a chaos or you're in the darkest, deepest moments
- 56:46that you can feel, that's OK too.
- 56:50That's growth. Feel it, be it, and then let it
- 56:54go. It's OK to let it go.
- 56:56Like feel dark and deep because you will.
- 56:59And I have, and I've had to learn how to get through that
- 57:03day and then sometimes just go to bed and wake up the next day
- 57:06and see how that day felt. And doing that where you're just
- 57:10trying to achieve the best that you are today.
- 57:13And that's it. That's to me how anybody can get
- 57:17through whatever they're going through.
- 57:19Believing in yourself, understanding that you've got
- 57:22the strength. Believe in yourself.
- 57:27I know my philosophy. Conceive belief and achieve.
- 57:32You know, it's, it's really important to believe.
- 57:35It's the fundamental of everything that would do to
- 57:41succeed as human beings. You cannot succeed if you don't
- 57:44believe in yourself first. Absolutely.
- 57:47That's you. Have to believe in yourself.
- 57:50Treasure though, that is the treasure.
- 57:51You are the treasure. I am the treasure.
- 57:54That person that's listening to us is the treasure.
- 57:57Remember, you are the treasure within your life.
- 58:02Let it shine. Let it shine, I love that one.
- 58:06And of course, Speaking of let it shine, I am going to make you
- 58:11shine with five quick fire ground questions as we end this
- 58:15wonderful session. So Are you ready to rumble?
- 58:20Yes, always. Number one.
- 58:24Number one. What's 1 daily habit that keeps
- 58:26you grounded? In the morning.
- 58:28One of my friends is gonna like you.
- 58:30Her name on Instagram is Smell the Coffee.
- 58:34And of course she has been on this podcast before.
- 58:36Shout out to Maria Abuaki. I wake up every morning and I
- 58:40just breathe, and then I get up and I make myself a cup of
- 58:44coffee. Oh wow, smell the coffee.
- 58:47Yeah #2 favourite quotes or scripture that keeps you going?
- 58:55Stay present. It's my own everyday.
- 58:58Stay present. Stay present.
- 59:01Stay. Do you?
- 59:02Want to know my favourite scripture?
- 59:04Yes. I can do all things through
- 59:07Christ that strengthens me. Philippines, chapter 4, verse
- 59:0913. Nice, thank.
- 59:13You for sharing that. Yeah, you're welcome #3 A book
- 59:17that changed your life. This is those moments that I get
- 59:21a little sad and overwhelmed because there are some books
- 59:24that speak to me and sometimes are on my night stand and I've
- 59:28been a part of my process and I can't remember the name of them
- 59:35because I know. I know because.
- 59:38Because you stay in the present, I guess the best book would be
- 59:42Stay in the Present. Yeah, I know that.
- 59:44I also, it's it's like so many things do speak to me, but the
- 59:48fact that I can't remember each and everything I have had to
- 59:51learn, it's OK not to have remembered.
- 59:53And that is part of my recovery. And so you say that and I
- 59:58literally want to go run and pull.
- 59:59I've like, I can turn around. I've got.
- 1:00:02A bookshelf full of stuff and on my night stand and like I'm a
- 1:00:05book person and obviously I've now I'm author, an author and I
- 1:00:08have to be kind to myself that I'm literally visually seeing a
- 1:00:11book that I can't remember the name of.
- 1:00:13And that's okay. You you can drop it into a
- 1:00:16comment section. You can drop it.
- 1:00:20You see, very nice to technology.
- 1:00:23We can always find a way. But, and I'm going to say.
- 1:00:25That I could bring this because I wanted to show it.
- 1:00:28It's my book. And the reason, the other reason
- 1:00:31why is because my daughter drew the cover.
- 1:00:34Wow. Wow, that gives it more
- 1:00:38intrinsic and artistic value now.
- 1:00:41And also my neurologist quoted and he's on the cover.
- 1:00:45My neurologist, my brain dude. And I mean like.
- 1:00:48Guys, guys, go and buy that book right away.
- 1:00:51If you don't buy it, please don't follow my channel.
- 1:00:53Yeah. This is what the art, the artist
- 1:00:56and my daughter, and she isn't and she doesn't consider herself
- 1:00:58an artist. And when I asked her, I'm like,
- 1:01:00I understand if you don't want to, but yeah, she drew my cover.
- 1:01:04Man, see, that is beautiful. That is very, very beautiful.
- 1:01:11Looking at the story behind it makes it even more touching.
- 1:01:19Wow. But I still think you should
- 1:01:20write a book titled Stay in the Present.
- 1:01:23What do? You think you just froze for a
- 1:01:25second, so you're gonna have to say that again.
- 1:01:27OK, I said. I still think that you should
- 1:01:30write a book titled Stay in the Present because it's a very
- 1:01:35strong message so. I agree with that and I think
- 1:01:39it's empowered me and I should share that in a bigger way.
- 1:01:42Thank you. That's great.
- 1:01:44You know, what I wanted to do next is I wanted to write a kids
- 1:01:47book version of my book because I felt like there were like
- 1:01:50these moments and they're so simplified because I was like a
- 1:01:54child when I was speaking through most of it as I was
- 1:01:57relearning everything. And I'm like, it would be so
- 1:01:59great to have a children's book that kind of had these these go
- 1:02:03TOS. And it's colourful.
- 1:02:07Yeah. So that's a good one.
- 1:02:09We can work on that together. Don't worry, I'll send you the
- 1:02:13invoice. Let me see.
- 1:02:17I think #4 is one thing most people get wrong about healing.
- 1:02:23That's. A So if you could whisper one
- 1:02:27truth to every woman in the world, what would it be?
- 1:02:32See yourself clearly. See yourself clearly.
- 1:02:37You're beautiful. I'm telling to you.
- 1:02:39I'm telling to you. Everybody's beautiful in their
- 1:02:42own way, you know? And they say beauty is in the
- 1:02:45eye of the beholder, you know? Yeah.
- 1:02:49You have to see yourself as beautiful.
- 1:02:50I. See myself as beautiful again.
- 1:02:53So yes, eye patch and all. And I love my eye patch.
- 1:02:58And I had to get creative with it.
- 1:02:59They're my new shoes. Ha ha ha ha.
- 1:03:04Whoa. Yeah, like sometimes when you
- 1:03:08have a new identity, it's it takes time to to buy into it.
- 1:03:15I remember I used to have longer hair before, but then when I
- 1:03:19called each other I was like, wow, sis me is the same person.
- 1:03:22But now I can't even imagine myself with longer hair any
- 1:03:24longer. Yeah.
- 1:03:26Of course, yeah, new identity. And of course, on the identity,
- 1:03:31very, very important. Oh, and of course, you know,
- 1:03:34we've actually come to the end of the show today.
- 1:03:37A very big thank you to you, Shannon.
- 1:03:39Michelle, there's some policy, gratitude is good attitude.
- 1:03:43And when a person shares their time with you, they share their
- 1:03:45life with you. And of course, we are now
- 1:03:48forever intertwined and connected by way of today's
- 1:03:52episode. So from me to you, it's love and
- 1:03:56respect. A lot of gratitude to you.
- 1:04:00I take in all the love and I, I give out and, and share all of
- 1:04:05my love with you because it's been an amazing moment and an
- 1:04:08amazing morning and. You're welcome.
- 1:04:13And of course, to, to our audience, guys don't don't they
- 1:04:18want, I know at this they want to take some of the love that
- 1:04:20you just shared with me before, before I could share the love
- 1:04:25with you guys and share the podcast with your network.
- 1:04:30And of course, I will share a little bit of love with you.
- 1:04:35Yes. Yes, I have so thank you very
- 1:04:37much guys. I love you guys very much love
- 1:04:40from me to you guys, love and respect to you guys.
- 1:04:42I always wish you something in your life.
- 1:04:45Always believe in yourselves, you know, conceive beliefs, try
- 1:04:48to thrive and achieve. There is no limit to what you
- 1:04:51can achieve into your life. And of course, I hope today's
- 1:04:54episode has been able to educate and inspire you guys.
- 1:04:58Your feedback is very important. If you're touched, if you're
- 1:05:01blessed, please, you know, drop a feedback for us on the
- 1:05:05comments section. And of course, guys look into
- 1:05:08the into the show notes. There's a lot of Nuggets in the
- 1:05:11show notes. Now we now have an affiliate
- 1:05:14sponsor that is Gamer app. It's a really fantastic
- 1:05:19presentation tool and of course you could use it for website to
- 1:05:23sign in. And of course, you know, these
- 1:05:25guys are partnering with the King guys.
- 1:05:31I'm going to be angry if you guys do not buy Shannon's book.
- 1:05:35Shannon. Shannon is going to take back a
- 1:05:37love if you guys don't buy her book.
- 1:05:39I'm giving all my love and my kisses.
- 1:05:43Oh, shout out, Eddie. Eddie, do you want to give a
- 1:05:45shout out to anybody? And of course, you know last
- 1:05:47words to the audience. I I'm, I'm fulfilled with each
- 1:05:52moment of each day, and I hope all of you are as well and.
- 1:05:58From me, I have a shout out to give, a very, very big shout out
- 1:06:02to grace my God, artist, the artist that doesn't believe
- 1:06:08she's an artist. Big shout out to you, grace you,
- 1:06:14you are very, very graceful as your name implies.
- 1:06:18You know, you know, I, I tell people this in life, anytime you
- 1:06:24win, stay grateful. And even when you don't stay
- 1:06:28graceful, so you'll always stay grateful and graceful.
- 1:06:33And of course, for me, it says goodbye.
- 1:06:35And from Shannon Michelle, well, so I come your way soon.
- 1:06:41Please keep doing the Lord's work.
- 1:06:43See you soon guys.
