And last time we were describing beautiful views at the park. That was Episode 82. Luna: Yeah, we learned 好靚 and 風景好靚. I still use those when I go for walks. Lucas: That's great. Today, let's stay with the park theme but talk about something else — the weather. Luna: Oh, weather! That's useful. Especially when it's super windy like last week. Lucas: Exactly. So our first phrase today is 好大風. That means 'very windy'. Luna: 好大風. Lucas: Good. 好 means 'very', 大 means 'big', and 風 means 'wind'. So literally 'big wind'. Luna: 好大風. Yeah, that's what it felt like yesterday. Lucas: Right. Let's say it a few times. Repeat after me: 好大風. Luna: 好大風. Lucas: 好大風. Luna: 好大風. I'm getting it. Lucas: Perfect. Now let's use it in a sentence. 今日好大風 — 'Today is very windy'. Luna: 今日好大風. Lucas: Yes. 今日 means 'today', so 今日好大風. Luna: 今日好大風. So if I say 尋日好大風, that's 'yesterday was very windy'? Lucas: Exactly right! 尋日好大風. You remembered 尋日 from Episode 69. Luna: I did! Okay, so 今日好大風, 尋日好大風... what about 聽日? Lucas: 聽日好大風 — 'tomorrow will be very windy'. But let's also learn another phrase: 多雲, which means 'cloudy'. Luna: 多雲. That sounds like 'many clouds'. Lucas: Exactly. 多 means 'many', 雲 means 'clouds'. So 多雲 is 'cloudy'. Luna: 多雲. I like that. It's descriptive. Lucas: Let's practice: 今日多雲 — 'Today is cloudy'. Luna: 今日多雲. Lucas: And 聽日多雲 — 'Tomorrow will be cloudy'. Luna: 聽日多雲. Lucas: Good. Now let's put it all together. Imagine we're at the park and I say: 今日好大風, 聽日多雲. Luna: So that's 'Today is very windy, tomorrow will be cloudy'. Lucas: Exactly. Now you try. Luna: 今日好大風, 聽日多雲. Lucas: Perfect. And if you want to ask about the weather, you can say 今日天氣點樣? — 'How is the weather today?' But we'll keep it simple for now. Luna: Got it. So I can say 今日好大風 or 今日多雲. Lucas: Right. Let's do a quick drill. I'll say the English, you say the Cantonese. Luna: Okay. Lucas: Very windy. Luna: 好大風. Lucas: Cloudy. Luna: 多雲. Lucas: Today is very windy. Luna: 今日好大風.
