- 1:51Speaker 2: With inflation and the threat of global recession, how is
- 1:56Speaker 2: how much of it is important to have gold in
- 1:59Speaker 2: your portfolio? How much gold should you have? As recommended
- 2:03Speaker 2: a lot man.
- 2:05Speaker 3: I know this question gets brought up, brought up all
- 2:07Speaker 3: the time when I think the best heads for an
- 2:10Speaker 3: inflation is to invest in the companies that run the
- 2:13Speaker 3: world Vanguard, Black, Croc, Apple, Microsoft, so, and then invest
- 2:20Speaker 3: in the sectors that are going to outpace any recession
- 2:25Speaker 3: draw downs that we have. Do I think we're on
- 2:27Speaker 3: the brink of a recession this year. No twenty five
- 2:30Speaker 3: or twenty six, we'll see bla. So, but so what
- 2:34Speaker 3: I'm personally doing in guar Up, I'm just waiting for
- 2:36Speaker 3: the right prices to buy the assets that I know
- 2:38Speaker 3: are that are going to do incredibly well vo O, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon,
- 2:42Speaker 3: and Video Eli Lilly. And if you look the five
- 2:46Speaker 3: years after a recession, the tech sector normally outperforms because
- 2:51Speaker 3: a lot of money and inflows go directly there. Even
- 2:53Speaker 3: with the conversation on diversification, if you have two tech
- 2:57Speaker 3: stocks and then you have vo O and VTI, but
- 3:00Speaker 3: v O and vt I I thirty three percent tech weighted.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Is it diversified or hyper concentrated. There's a reason why.
- 3:09Speaker 3: So gold is important, I think as a hedge, but
- 3:13Speaker 3: it wouldn't be my go to hedge. Number one tries
- 3:17Speaker 3: the nineteen keys. I know he's gonna tell me otherwise
- 3:20Speaker 3: it's my brother. So it is a good hedge, but
- 3:23Speaker 3: it's not a primary one for me or the people
- 3:27Speaker 3: that that run the world and all that going out
- 3:30Speaker 3: of Fort Knocks anywhere. That shit been long ago. We're
- 3:34Speaker 3: gonna tell the truth or no, yeah, keep it on me.
- 3:36Speaker 3: It's not there. So just like so, so she knock
- 3:40Speaker 3: a mooto not in Kyoto and Langley. But what do
- 3:45Speaker 3: I know? Is it just jokes or okay? Crazy times yo.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Crazy Yeah, go to the good Hedges.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Performed incredibly well doing every recession. The value is going up.
- 4:03Speaker 3: I think Bitcoin probably would be a better head just
- 4:05Speaker 3: the dollars falling. So those are two assets or two
- 4:10Speaker 3: ways to play the recession.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Hit the like button, Ladies and gentlemen, we are going
- 4:16Speaker 2: into the question. Everybody wants to know, what are the
- 4:22Speaker 2: top three stocks that you should including your portfolio heading
- 4:26Speaker 2: into a recession.
- 4:27Speaker 3: Okay, if we cover them endlessly, Microsoft, because they're gonna
- 4:35Speaker 3: okay with the value. My favorite thing is playing best questions.
- 4:38Speaker 3: If open Ai goes public within the next year or
- 4:41Speaker 3: doing a recession, even though it's going to be a
- 4:44Speaker 3: draw down, they'll be able to get enough attention.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Right.
- 4:47Speaker 3: And if Microsoft all's forty nine percent, will that double
- 4:50Speaker 3: or triple the value of Microsoft or will it make
- 4:53Speaker 3: Microsoft decline as a result? Will go up or will
- 4:57Speaker 3: it go down? Microsoft's going to go up? No, No, All,
- 5:02Speaker 3: Number two Apple, and then third I think is the
- 5:07Speaker 3: big new player on the.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Stages in video.
- 5:10Speaker 3: I've been telling you, like I designed my portfolio to
- 5:14Speaker 3: work regardless of what's going on in the market, and
- 5:18Speaker 3: I'm very careful about that. So if you're investing in
- 5:21Speaker 3: the companies that run the world and have majority market
- 5:24Speaker 3: share the sectors that matter the most, you're fine. If
- 5:27Speaker 3: I made you money, Please put yes in chat. Your
- 5:29Speaker 3: portfolio should be indestructible regardless. And the truth be told,
- 5:33Speaker 3: they're not going to let us like just slide into
- 5:36Speaker 3: a long We'll never have a two thousand and eight
- 5:39Speaker 3: recession in all lifetime again because it's too fresh in
- 5:42Speaker 3: the mind of all investors. So they're going to be
- 5:45Speaker 3: smaller or more niche recessions. They wouldn't announce that we
- 5:51Speaker 3: were in a recession. We would had two negative quarters.
- 5:54Speaker 3: They'll tell me everything I needed to know. Then all
- 5:56Speaker 3: of a sudden, everyone wants to talk about the same rule.
- 5:59Speaker 3: And then after the Nie case slides, we recovered in
- 6:01Speaker 3: three days, So they've thrown the traditional rule book out
- 6:06Speaker 3: of the window. But Microsoft, because they're going to own
- 6:08Speaker 3: the AI sector video Apple argue, maybe bitcoin, but I
- 6:16Speaker 3: don't think bitcoin is drawn back enough to buy it.
- 6:19Speaker 3: So if bitcoin goes sub forty, I think bitcoin can
- 6:23Speaker 3: have a hell of a run during a recession.
- 6:25Speaker 2: For sure.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I assumed that you were going to take the tech approach.
- 6:30Speaker 1: So I chose companies that weren't tech okay, because I
- 6:34Speaker 1: feel like people know those But.
- 6:36Speaker 3: People should do what they know works. I should for
- 6:40Speaker 3: some other shit that they want to just make up
- 6:42Speaker 3: and they be like, Travis Shaw, are you too me
- 6:44Speaker 3: to invest us? I should invest in sour grapes and
- 6:46Speaker 3: sour sop and milk. And I didn't tell you that.
- 6:50Speaker 1: I'm I'm gonna run down the list in terms of
- 6:52Speaker 1: a recession. It's funny because we were talking about gold,
- 6:56Speaker 1: and most people over the past twelve months have been
- 6:58Speaker 1: buying gold from this stock yep. And so I put
- 7:02Speaker 1: Costco in there. Cost just from a necessity standpoint, right
- 7:07Speaker 1: when we talk about recession, there's a couple of things
- 7:09Speaker 1: that people always going to need food and products, and
- 7:14Speaker 1: they're gonna need health care, right, those two things will remain.
- 7:18Speaker 1: So for that I had Costco, I had lily Uh.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Costo's up thirty three percent year of the day, nearly
- 7:25Speaker 1: is up fifty percent year of to day. And then
- 7:28Speaker 1: I put P and G in there as a safe bet,
- 7:30Speaker 1: like a safe slow setting long term investment. It's not
- 7:36Speaker 1: the most violatile. It's not going to be your value
- 7:39Speaker 1: and play. But if you're talking about slow and steady,
- 7:41Speaker 1: progressive and just a stable of a company, I always
- 7:45Speaker 1: put P and G in there when they talk about
- 7:47Speaker 1: recessionary stocks to look into, and that's our twelve percent
- 7:51Speaker 1: year of the day. Yeah, those were the three outside
- 7:54Speaker 1: of the tech space. Obviously, I love those, the three
- 7:56Speaker 1: tech ones you said, But and then I'll put probably
- 7:59Speaker 1: Amazon before Big, but those would be the ones outside
- 8:02Speaker 1: of tech.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Okay, has the NASDAK bottom been reached for the year?
- 8:12Speaker 2: Are we up from here or will we have another
- 8:17Speaker 2: major correction pullback?
- 8:19Speaker 3: I think we have a medium pullback sometime in September,
- 8:23Speaker 3: and then after that we're off to the races. I
- 8:24Speaker 3: think by early October, I think that they will know
- 8:28Speaker 3: who will win the presidential election. That will be priced
- 8:31Speaker 3: in unless something dramatic happens at the very end and
- 8:35Speaker 3: Olivia Pope can't fix things some time, but I think
- 8:40Speaker 3: September we'll get a decent pullback, a good buying opportunity,
- 8:44Speaker 3: and after that, worker even for all the stuff that's
- 8:47Speaker 3: been talked about, if you've been with us the last
- 8:48Speaker 3: four years. The drop that happened last week was a
- 8:51Speaker 3: flash in the pan. It wasn't the deep. It's not
- 8:54Speaker 3: like Zillow or Zoom or Brivian. It's like it wasn't
- 8:59Speaker 3: that deep of a drop to make everyone panic the
- 9:01Speaker 3: way that they did. I think it was a fear
- 9:03Speaker 3: of knowing we could crash, or that we should be crashing.
- 9:06Speaker 3: The sentiment is most of the stocks are too high
- 9:09Speaker 3: for where they should be, but we haven't had a
- 9:12Speaker 3: deep enough catalyst to let it run down. I'll remind
- 9:15Speaker 3: you again, go watch the Big Short. This reminds me
- 9:17Speaker 3: of the scene where moodies were buying the ratings and
- 9:20Speaker 3: the banks are buying the ratings to keep everything afloat.
- 9:22Speaker 3: They're doing their job to try and keep everything slow
- 9:25Speaker 3: and steady. But I think another deep crash. No, I
- 9:29Speaker 3: don't think we're going to have one of those until
- 9:31Speaker 3: after someone is in office.
- 9:33Speaker 4: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 9:37Speaker 4: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 9:41Speaker 4: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 9:45Speaker 4: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 9:49Speaker 4: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 9:53Speaker 4: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christine Noman, the United States
- 9:57Speaker 4: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 10:02Speaker 4: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 10:05Speaker 4: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 10:08Speaker 4: are here illegally, your next you will be fined nearly
- 10:12Speaker 4: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned, and deported. You will
- 10:16Speaker 4: never return. But if you register using our CBP home
- 10:20Speaker 4: app and leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 10:24Speaker 4: Do what's right. Leave now. Under President Trump, America's laws,
- 10:29Speaker 4: border and families will be protected.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
