- 0:51Speaker 1: Hello friend, chaplain Terry Warner here.
- 1:09Speaker 1: This will be season 2025, episode number 33, watering your Seeds that you have Planted.
- 1:23Speaker 1: You know I'm big on words and saying this and saying that One of the problems I have, or one of the it's not a problem caused one of the problems I personally have is planting seeds and then getting so many seeds planted that I can't water and cultivate them and fertilize them to where they grow and mature like they should.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Consequently, I have stuff planted that I don't know what it is, don't know where it's at and don't know how to find it.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Well, I guess that's a good problem in some ways.
- 1:54Speaker 1: In 2 Peter 2.9, listen to this verse.
- 1:57Speaker 1: It's talking about Abraham and Lot and the city getting ready to be destroyed 2 Peter 2.9.
- 2:06Speaker 1: I'll start in verse 7.
- 2:11Speaker 1: I'll back up 2.6.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Let me back up a little more About 2.5.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others.
- 2:24Speaker 1: If he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly, and if he rescued, fought a righteous man who was distressed by the filthy lives of lawlessness men, for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard.
- 3:00Speaker 1: If this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue godly men from trials and to hold them, the unrighteous, for the day of judgment while continuing their punishment.
- 3:14Speaker 1: God knows your circumstance, he knows your conditions, he knows your mind, he knows everything, he knows the words before you speak them.
- 3:23Speaker 1: He intricately made you and created you by his word, by his forming together, by bringing us into existence, and we became a living soul when he breathed into us his life and we gave it.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Then Adam gave it away, committed high treason and gave it away.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Christ came back and redeemed us from that, restored us to our original placement in the kingdom of God.
- 3:53Speaker 1: You are a king and a priest.
- 3:55Speaker 1: You are a son or a daughter in the kingdom of God.
- 4:00Speaker 1: If you believe and trust in Jesus Christ, all right.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Let's get back to watering the seeds.
- 4:10Speaker 1: If you are like me, I am good at planting seeds, but when it comes to cultivating and watering my seeds, it seems like that the crop of seeds that I have planted lack the ability to make an abundant crop.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Why do you suppose that is?
- 4:25Speaker 1: I think a big problem that causes our planted seeds to be weak and result in less than a desirable harvest is due to the fact that we are trying to get God to be our genie and not our source.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Oh, we'll just pray and ask God to provide it.
- 4:42Speaker 1: We'll just pray and ask God to create it, and yet we don't tithe, we don't give, we don't give God anything to work with.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Then, when it doesn't work out and it doesn't work like we think it should, when God doesn't produce his little magic gift, we're disappointed.
- 4:58Speaker 1: We say, well, that doesn't work.
- 5:00Speaker 1: It worked, but we didn't work it.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Consequently, I have seeds planted all over my field, my life field, and don't know the condition or have forgotten even where I planted the seed.
- 5:16Speaker 1: If you, at some time past, planted seeds and never saw a harvest, don't you think God stopped the harvest?
- 5:24Speaker 1: Or do you think God stopped the harvest?
- 5:26Speaker 1: It is never God's fault when lack and disappointment prevail.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Well, today I repented and asked God for his forgiveness and renewed my effort to start watering my seeds again with his word.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Well, chaplain, terry, who is at fault?
- 5:44Speaker 1: Well, you know the answer to that question.
- 5:47Speaker 1: However, instead of listing the reasons or who is responsible, let us shift our focus on how to get back on track and get our seeds back to growing toward a harvest.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Repent and ask the Lord Jesus for his forgiveness.
- 6:02Speaker 1: That's number one.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Did you know that the Lord Jesus walks through your camp, your life, to deliver you?
- 6:10Speaker 1: Deuteronomy 23, 14.
- 6:13Speaker 1: The seeds you have planted in the past are lying dormant in the ground, waiting to be reactivated by you watering and fertilizing the seed.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Jesus said the Spirit gives life, the flesh counts for nothing.
- 6:27Speaker 1: The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.
- 6:31Speaker 1: John 6.63.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Do you realize that when Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, all his friends and relatives thought that time had passed.
- 6:44Speaker 1: There wasn't any way of bringing that back.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Nobody had ever raised anybody from the dead before, not that they were aware of it.
- 6:50Speaker 1: They have Old Testament stories but they can't relate to that.
- 6:55Speaker 1: That's just a story.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Nobody had experienced it firsthand.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Number three God is for you and wants to bless you and prosper you.
- 7:06Speaker 1: 3 John 2.
- 7:07Speaker 1: We all have trials and setbacks.
- 7:10Speaker 1: The devil has convinced a lot of us that Jesus and the apostles, their acts of healing and miracles, ended sometime after the first century.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Well, what a lie.
- 7:21Speaker 1: God is for you.
- 7:23Speaker 1: He wants to prosper you and have you live a life of abundance and health.
- 7:28Speaker 1: If God wasn't still doing miracles, you couldn't be saved.
- 7:31Speaker 1: If God wasn't keeping you alive, you couldn't stay alive.
- 7:35Speaker 1: It's God's word that brings about life.
- 7:40Speaker 1: It's just that simple.
- 7:42Speaker 1: So get back into God's word or Jesus.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Start believing that God is for you.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Another big item is forgiveness.
- 7:51Speaker 1: If you want God to forgive you, you must forgive others.
- 7:55Speaker 1: But, chaplain Terry, you don't know what they did to me.
- 7:58Speaker 1: No, I don't know what they did to you and I really don't want to know.
- 8:02Speaker 1: I don't need to know, but I know what it's doing to you and I really don't want to know.
- 8:06Speaker 1: I don't need to know, but I know what it's doing to you.
- 8:09Speaker 1: You know unforgiveness affects everybody but the person causing it.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Jesus said when you stand praying, to forgive others.
- 8:15Speaker 1: He didn't put any exceptions on that.
- 8:19Speaker 1: When you stand praying, forgive others.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Mark 11, 25.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Because if you don't, your Heavenly Father can't forgive you your trespasses.
- 8:34Speaker 1: I'm not talking about salvation, I'm talking about your Christian walk.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Now back to your main assignment.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Speak to your mountain, your obstacle, and get back to watering and cultivating your seed, because your harvest depends upon it.
- 8:47Speaker 1: You have a blessed day In Jesus' name.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Amen.
