- 1:28Obviously there was some unfortunate news yesterday.
- 1:31Chuck Norris passed away, one of the greatest icons that has ever
- 1:36existed. He actually did movies with
- 1:40Bruce Lee like Enter the Dragon. It was one of the coolest, most
- 1:44interesting fights ever. It's a movie that is never going
- 1:48to fade away. As you know, a man can actually
- 1:51pass away, but his legend never dies.
- 1:54And that's Chuck Norris. I can see even now, even after
- 1:57he's passed away, he's still leaving smiles in people's faces
- 2:01due to all the memes out there. You know, my brother Justin Keen
- 2:05is with me right now. And I was watching a video,
- 2:08Justin, where he was hanging out with some military guys and they
- 2:13asked him if you ever thought about shaving his beard.
- 2:15And he said he tried once. He tried bringing a razor to his
- 2:19beard as well as a sharpened rock, but the rock begged for
- 2:23mercy. Yeah, yeah, man, one of my
- 2:28favorite martial art artists and celebrities, TV shows and the
- 2:36fact that he was an American, you know, that's awesome.
- 2:39It gives hope to Americans. Yeah.
- 2:44And ladies and gentlemen, one of the interesting things about
- 2:47Chuck Norris and my brother and I was talking about earlier is
- 2:50that, you know, a lot of martial artists, they compete with each
- 2:54other and they sometimes diss on each other.
- 2:57But when it comes to Chuck Norris, Bruce Lee had nothing
- 3:01but great things to say about him.
- 3:02Bruce Lee actually wanted Chuck Norris to be and enter the
- 3:05Dragon, or he probably wouldn't have wanted to be in the film at
- 3:09all. Chuck was actually a necessity
- 3:11for that film. Characters like Van Dam, Steven
- 3:15Seagal and many other martial artists out there, they'll tell
- 3:19you right off the bat, not only was he a great martial artist,
- 3:22not only was he, you know, a great in his own sense, one of
- 3:26the more better as far as acting when it comes to martial arts
- 3:31and heroic fighters and movies. He was one of those, but also a
- 3:35great man in real life. Apparently, as you can see the
- 3:38picture in the quote on the screen, he believed in God.
- 3:42He felt that God was on his side, and the way he kicked
- 3:45people, it makes me think he might have been right.
- 3:51You got any more things that you'd like to say about Chuck
- 3:54Norris? I know that he he was in several
- 4:03movies. He had a illustrious acting
- 4:06career and I respect that as well.
- 4:08And some of this TV, yeah, his TV appearances and acting on TV
- 4:17was, was awesome, you know, and will never be forgotten.
- 4:22It's true, he for those out there who might be too young to
- 4:26know this, he he was so successful he got to do
- 4:30something that a lot of martial arts have never got to do.
- 4:33He actually got his own successful award-winning TV show
- 4:36called The Texas Ranger. Some of you may not know this as
- 4:40well, but he actually starred in one of the biggest martial
- 4:44martial arts movies of all times with David Carradine playing the
- 4:49enemy. It was the first time besides
- 4:51Kill Bill that Mister Carradine, you know the guy from Kung Fu,
- 4:55where they actually participated with each other in the film.
- 4:59It was pretty badass. Well, besides all that, ladies
- 5:06and gentlemen, for me and I think for my brother, because my
- 5:10brother and I have been around for a while, we've had to go
- 5:13through the unfortunate experience of watching a lot of
- 5:17our heroes pass away before us in our lifetimes.
- 5:21And it's really difficult because when it comes to things
- 5:24like this, when you see a guy like Chuck Norris, especially
- 5:28with all the memes that that really stand out you, it, it
- 5:32hurts you a little bit more because you actually grow up
- 5:35with these people and you get this weird delusion that they're
- 5:39immortal, that there's no way you'll never lose a guy like
- 5:42Chuck, never lose a guy like Bruce Lee, never lose this or
- 5:46that. But yeah, we're reminded of
- 5:49greatness can fade out. Well, that's really all I have
- 5:53to say. Is there any last words you got,
- 5:55Dustin? If you want to, you can also
- 5:57pump out your new CD. Tell people about it.
- 6:02Yeah, and he also donated to charities and things like that.
- 6:08So if anybody wants a way to say thank you or was interested in
- 6:14his work or his life, that'd be a way to, you know, honor him.
- 6:20Sounds good. Ladies and gentlemen, you've
- 6:22been listening to Brett Keene from GOD TV Radio, and that's my
- 6:26brother Justin Keene. And I'm not going to say rest in
- 6:30peace. I'm going to say rest and power
- 6:32Chuck Norris, and God bless.
