- 0:04Speaker 1: NFL Power Rankings is a production of the NFL in
- 0:07Speaker 1: partnership with iHeartRadio.
- 0:13Speaker 2: It's week twelve. Everybody, Welcome to the NFL Power Ranking Show,
- 0:17Speaker 2: presented by Energizer from our studio in Los Angeles. My
- 0:22Speaker 2: name is Andrews Sciliano. This is Thanksgiving, so let's give
- 0:26Speaker 2: thanks to the man on the other side of the screen,
- 0:30Speaker 2: the man with a thank blessed job, the man who
- 0:34Speaker 2: takes your slings and arrows every week for putting together
- 0:37Speaker 2: these rankings. We are thankful to you.
- 0:41Speaker 3: Eric at a Hey, just keep a seat open at
- 0:44Speaker 3: the Thanksgiving dinner table for me, and that's all the
- 0:47Speaker 3: payback I need.
- 0:48Speaker 2: We will not call you a turkey this week. We
- 0:51Speaker 2: will be nice. Okay, we will not carve up your rankings,
- 0:54Speaker 2: I promise, Eric. Put them on the screen. Stand the
- 0:57Speaker 2: QR code right now and find not a turkey but
- 1:01Speaker 2: an Eagle at number one. They were number one last week,
- 1:04Speaker 2: and we knew that whomever won on Monday night in
- 1:06Speaker 2: Kansas City would be one. Here's a hint. It's the
- 1:10Speaker 2: Eagles after them. The Ravens, the Lions, the Niners and
- 1:14Speaker 2: the Chiefs who lost to the Eagles are down three
- 1:17Speaker 2: the number five Dolphins, Cowboys Jacksonville routing out the top
- 1:23Speaker 2: eight those bottom three, six, seven, and eight. Eric, do
- 1:27Speaker 2: not move. I was watching the game Monday night with
- 1:29Speaker 2: Steve Whitch we did NFL Game Day Final on NFL Network,
- 1:33Speaker 2: and you're sitting there going, wait a minute, the Eagle
- 1:35Speaker 2: is going to find a way to win this game?
- 1:37Speaker 2: Are they really? Are they really going to do this?
- 1:39Speaker 2: Three of thirteen on third down, like two hundred and
- 1:43Speaker 2: thirty eight yards of offense? But Day found away, Eric somehow.
- 1:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Without much from aj Brown, right, he had one catch,
- 1:53Speaker 3: she had the route there that probably was responsible for
- 1:56Speaker 3: Jalen Hurts interception.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Not much was going right in the first half.
- 1:59Speaker 3: They did have the one touchdown drivet, but it felt
- 2:02Speaker 3: like something changed at halftime andrew different team.
- 2:05Speaker 4: The defense really picked.
- 2:06Speaker 3: It up after that, didn't allow a single point in
- 2:08Speaker 3: the second half, and the offense, look, it wasn't perfect,
- 2:11Speaker 3: but they got those two big drives and field position
- 2:14Speaker 3: was important too. Britain Covey's return, special teams just in
- 2:17Speaker 3: general were better for the Eagles in the second half,
- 2:19Speaker 3: So you know, you think about all those things, and
- 2:22Speaker 3: Philadelphia really outplayed them after halftime.
- 2:25Speaker 4: In all three phases.
- 2:26Speaker 2: I would argue, yeah, and definitely the Philadelphia defense of
- 2:30Speaker 2: the first half was probably the best unit on the field,
- 2:34Speaker 2: or rather the Chiefs defense, but the Eagles defense did
- 2:37Speaker 2: enough to give the offense a chance at Philadelphia goes
- 2:42Speaker 2: to nine and one and brought a little history lesson
- 2:44Speaker 2: kids in these six previous times. This is number seven.
- 2:48Speaker 2: In these six previous times that the Eagles have opened
- 2:51Speaker 2: up a season nine and one, they have gone on
- 2:54Speaker 2: to either the super Bowl or the NFL Championship game.
- 2:58Speaker 2: So there's that they are on a championship trajectory. Here
- 3:03Speaker 2: in a brutal, eric middle part of their schedule, they
- 3:06Speaker 2: just check off another difficult win. Yeah.
- 3:10Speaker 3: I mean, obviously, you know you love division wins, you
- 3:12Speaker 3: love beating conference pos. But if you could beat a
- 3:15Speaker 3: team that beat you in the playoffs, they obviously have
- 3:18Speaker 3: some history together and a team that plays very well
- 3:21Speaker 3: at Arrowhead with one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL,
- 3:23Speaker 3: that's a big win for me. Whether it had style
- 3:25Speaker 3: points or not. So Philly took care of business. This
- 3:28Speaker 3: is the kind of win they've been kind of used to.
- 3:30Speaker 3: They kept talking after the game, we still haven't played
- 3:32Speaker 3: our best game yet. So at nine to one, I
- 3:34Speaker 3: think they're doing okay for themselves.
- 3:36Speaker 2: But yet it would not surprise me if the Eagles
- 3:39Speaker 2: lose to the Bills in week twelve or the Niners
- 3:41Speaker 2: in week thirteen. Let's get to the Chiefs because they
- 3:44Speaker 2: do drop, and I guess drop is the team of
- 3:45Speaker 2: the night. They drop those three big passes on the
- 3:48Speaker 2: final drive, they dropped a five in the power rankings
- 3:50Speaker 2: and eric also they dropped the number two in the
- 3:53Speaker 2: AFC standings behind the Ravens, which is also pretty big.
- 3:57Speaker 3: Absolutely, look this Ravens team. I know they've had a
- 3:59Speaker 3: few hiccups this year, but the Chiefs have to be
- 4:01Speaker 3: very weary. I mean, they can't play the way they
- 4:03Speaker 3: did Monday night. The drops were obviously a huge storyline,
- 4:07Speaker 3: whether it was Mark Wes Valdez scantling the big one,
- 4:10Speaker 3: Justin Watson had at least two, if not three, Travis
- 4:13Speaker 3: Kelsey drop one on the late in the game, had
- 4:16Speaker 3: the fumble as well, so all kinds of self inflicted airs.
- 4:19Speaker 3: The second half offense has been an issue now for
- 4:22Speaker 3: three weeks running, so you know it's the Chiefs team that. Look,
- 4:25Speaker 3: they're great at scoring right before the half. You know,
- 4:28Speaker 3: we know Mahomes has the ability to make some terrific plays,
- 4:31Speaker 3: you know, he and Pacheco I think did enough. The
- 4:33Speaker 3: defense really held Serve early, but just wore down a
- 4:37Speaker 3: little bit too late. And you know that's gonna be
- 4:39Speaker 3: tough against teams like the Eagles, and tough it against
- 4:42Speaker 3: teams like the Ravens.
- 4:43Speaker 4: So you know, you get a little worried.
- 4:44Speaker 3: They lost opening week to the Lions, some of these
- 4:47Speaker 3: playoff type tests they barely put away Jacksonville week two.
- 4:50Speaker 3: You know, is this a problem for Kansas City against
- 4:52Speaker 3: these better teams?
- 4:54Speaker 2: I think it is yet. To look at the schedule
- 4:55Speaker 2: and I see at Vegas, at Green Bay, Buffalo, at
- 5:00Speaker 2: New England, those are all very winnable games. And if
- 5:03Speaker 2: they go fourteen and three, if they go thirteen and four,
- 5:06Speaker 2: I don't think anyone's going to be surprised. But they
- 5:09Speaker 2: have gone three consecutive games without a second half point.
- 5:14Speaker 2: This is now officially a trend. And I know everyone
- 5:17Speaker 2: on Twitter from Chicago where you live, wants to point
- 5:20Speaker 2: the finger of Matt Naggy and say we told you so.
- 5:23Speaker 2: It has to go deeper than just Matt Naggy they're
- 5:26Speaker 2: down three spots to number five. Let's go up to
- 5:30Speaker 2: number two of the team now that is ahead of
- 5:33Speaker 2: the Chiefs in the AFC standings. They lose Mark Andrews,
- 5:37Speaker 2: but the Baltimore Ravens bounce back on a short week
- 5:41Speaker 2: after losing to the Browns, and in your eyes, they
- 5:45Speaker 2: are not only the best team in the AFC, they're
- 5:48Speaker 2: the best team not named the Eagles.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I could certainly make a case for
- 5:52Speaker 3: the forty nine ers. Snow, we're obviously going to think
- 5:54Speaker 3: about them quite a bit down the stretch, you know,
- 5:56Speaker 3: maybe Detroit. You know, this last week sort of skewed
- 6:00Speaker 3: our view of them a little bit, but they're certainly capable.
- 6:03Speaker 3: I just think there's a lot like about this team,
- 6:05Speaker 3: even with some of the hiccup games that they've had.
- 6:08Speaker 3: I mean, you know, you saw with even losing Mark
- 6:10Speaker 3: Andrews and the seventh play of the game, Obj steps
- 6:13Speaker 3: up with the career day, Agalore has a touchdown, Bateman
- 6:17Speaker 3: has a touchdown. The run game Keithon Mitchell's been a
- 6:20Speaker 3: great little compliment to what they have with Gus Edward
- 6:23Speaker 3: zan Lamar for that matter. So you know, they take
- 6:26Speaker 3: these hits and they kind of keep rolling. I'm not
- 6:28Speaker 3: trying to dismiss the Andrews injury. Probably their most reliable
- 6:33Speaker 3: guy this season along was A Flowers offensively, but at
- 6:36Speaker 3: the same time, you know, I do think they have
- 6:38Speaker 3: some of the horses we identified them in that game.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Those three receivers really stepped up, and they still have
- 6:43Speaker 3: guys that.
- 6:43Speaker 2: Can throw to And as we take this show here
- 6:46Speaker 2: on Tuesday, our Mike Garrofolo at this very minute is
- 6:50Speaker 2: reporting that Mark Andrews is going to undergo surgery on
- 6:54Speaker 2: that ankle. But as John Harbaugh said on Monday, Garofolo says,
- 6:59Speaker 2: there is a chance. It is an outside chance, but
- 7:01Speaker 2: the chance exists that if the Ravens make a deep
- 7:05Speaker 2: run like maybe one that goes into February, then potentially
- 7:09Speaker 2: Mark Andrews could return, potentially, And for that, everybody in
- 7:14Speaker 2: Baltimore is thankful. Speaking of being thankful, talk about some
- 7:18Speaker 2: of those teams on your Thanksgiving schedule. With the Detroit Lions,
- 7:21Speaker 2: Eric Atolme got a scare, but somehow the Bears, the
- 7:25Speaker 2: Bears in your backyard, just gave them a holiday gift
- 7:30Speaker 2: and took a deep shot on third and nine. Tyler
- 7:33Speaker 2: Scott somehow slowed down and somehow the Lions despite Jared
- 7:37Speaker 2: Goff making five I believe turnover worthy plays one somehow,
- 7:42Speaker 2: which is a good thing, right because it speaks to
- 7:45Speaker 2: the resilience of this team.
- 7:47Speaker 4: That's kind of how I see it, Andrew.
- 7:48Speaker 3: I mean, look, obviously you're hoping that Goff doesn't have
- 7:51Speaker 3: this kind of a game going forward. I think he
- 7:53Speaker 3: entered the game with five interceptions, had the three and
- 7:56Speaker 3: like you said, two that were arguably just as bad,
- 7:59Speaker 3: one that could have been run back for a touchdown.
- 8:00Speaker 3: So you know, the first three quarters did not go
- 8:03Speaker 3: according to play. Offensively, Goff did settle down, had the
- 8:06Speaker 3: big fourth quarter, led those drives and you know, scoring
- 8:10Speaker 3: seventeen points or whatever you know in the last three
- 8:12Speaker 3: minutes of the game certainly is gonna be a good
- 8:15Speaker 3: formula for victory if you're down two possessions, So that
- 8:18Speaker 3: that worked out really well. The defense really struggled at times,
- 8:22Speaker 3: but had the two big lay possessions, the third down
- 8:24Speaker 3: of the three and out and then also the safety
- 8:26Speaker 3: at the end of the game. So another development, Andrew,
- 8:29Speaker 3: It's kind of exciting. I guess Jamison Williams had the touchdown,
- 8:32Speaker 3: had a few key catches. I mean, look, we keep
- 8:34Speaker 3: saying this guy can help him, so it's it's good
- 8:37Speaker 3: to see him involved in the game plan and make
- 8:38Speaker 3: them key plays, you know within the fourth quarter.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Yeah, huge play there for Jamison Williams touchdown to even
- 8:44Speaker 2: get them within sniffing distance late there in the fourth quarter,
- 8:48Speaker 2: and give give him another weapon and Jared Goff is
- 8:52Speaker 2: gonna hurt you. And that's what he did eventually that
- 8:55Speaker 2: hung around and why along face there on justin fields
- 8:58Speaker 2: because they blew a double digit lead in the fourth quarter. Again,
- 9:02Speaker 2: the Lions get the Packers on Thanksgiving. Forty nine Ers
- 9:05Speaker 2: are the late game. They get the Seahawks, who are
- 9:07Speaker 2: coming off a loss here in La to the Rams. Eric,
- 9:12Speaker 2: you have the forty nine ers up one spot to number.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Four, I do, yeah, And again I could make a
- 9:19Speaker 3: case for them being even higher. The three game losing
- 9:21Speaker 3: streaks certainly, you know, marred their season raised a lot
- 9:24Speaker 3: of questions. But so far in the two games since then,
- 9:27Speaker 3: they've come out of the by and put most of
- 9:29Speaker 3: those questions to bed for now. Right the defense is pressuring.
- 9:33Speaker 3: They had four sacks, had two turnovers, did lose talanoa
- 9:37Speaker 3: Hufanga can't over you know, gloss that over. That is
- 9:39Speaker 3: a big loss that happened on kind of a fluky
- 9:42Speaker 3: play too, so kind of like with the Ravens and
- 9:44Speaker 3: Mark Andrews just one of those players. He thought we
- 9:47Speaker 3: can survive. But it's a really big blow here. I
- 9:50Speaker 3: just think obviously offensively, the big difference having the big
- 9:53Speaker 3: four Kittle, McCaffrey, Samuel Ayyuk all together makes them so dangerous.
- 9:58Speaker 3: And now that's why you see brock Purty last two games,
- 10:01Speaker 3: six touchdowns, no.
- 10:03Speaker 4: Interceptions, eleven eight complete passes.
- 10:05Speaker 3: He was at least by the passer rating standpoint perfect
- 10:08Speaker 3: to this game and looked really good the one before,
- 10:11Speaker 3: so top five team arguably right up there with some
- 10:14Speaker 3: of the very best.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Ah. Yes, the passer rating standpoint one fifty eight point
- 10:19Speaker 2: three is a perfect passer rating. Rock Party has the
- 10:23Speaker 2: perfect passer rating. Walk into Eddie Bar in America and
- 10:26Speaker 2: ask the average football fan what does passer rating mean
- 10:30Speaker 2: to them? Or for that matter, qbr and can you
- 10:32Speaker 2: explain how we calculate passer rating and how one fifty
- 10:37Speaker 2: eight point three is considered perfect? And nobody could give
- 10:42Speaker 2: you an answer, but Rock pretty. I'm happy he played
- 10:45Speaker 2: well and they're good yep. And he has a perfect
- 10:48Speaker 2: passer rating, so he can hang that on his wall.
- 10:51Speaker 2: The team they beat up the week before, right, is
- 10:55Speaker 2: our team of the Week, which is presented by Truest.
- 10:59Speaker 2: That team the Jacksonville Jaguars. They check in at number eight.
- 11:05Speaker 2: They did the job, they won, and I guess, no movement.
- 11:08Speaker 2: I mean they just checked the box. I mean, they're fine.
- 11:12Speaker 2: How do you view them?
- 11:14Speaker 3: It's tough when almost everybody above them wins, So it
- 11:17Speaker 3: wasn't a.
- 11:17Speaker 4: Lot of room for improvement there.
- 11:19Speaker 3: I did switch some teams around, but it was also
- 11:23Speaker 3: measuring the fact that they looked so bad in Week
- 11:26Speaker 3: ten that I thought. This reminded me a little bit
- 11:28Speaker 3: of the Vikings getting absolutely blasted at home last year
- 11:31Speaker 3: by the Cowboys. It was the first time that we said,
- 11:33Speaker 3: is this Vikings team for real? They ended up posting
- 11:35Speaker 3: a playoff game, losing it. That's kind of the question
- 11:38Speaker 3: that was swirling around in my mind.
- 11:39Speaker 4: This week as I pondered the Jaguars.
- 11:41Speaker 3: Yeah, it was this the most impressive opponent they faced
- 11:45Speaker 3: this year. Of course, not Titans are struggling butt. They
- 11:48Speaker 3: took care of business. They dominated the game early. Trevor
- 11:51Speaker 3: Lawrence down the field. That's all we've been wanting to see, right,
- 11:54Speaker 3: Calvin Ridley, hook up with your guy, what's been going on?
- 11:57Speaker 3: They did twice Sunday. Lawrence had two rushing touchdowns. Very
- 12:00Speaker 3: good offensive day, and the Titans didn't get anything going
- 12:03Speaker 3: until it was up to twenty seven. Nothing so impressive
- 12:06Speaker 3: showing by the defense. This is the kind of bounce
- 12:08Speaker 3: back game that you want to see from a team
- 12:10Speaker 3: that got pummeled the week before at home.
- 12:13Speaker 2: And a huge game coming up here. Week twelve, the
- 12:15Speaker 2: Jaguars and the Texans, the rematch. Houston beat him the
- 12:18Speaker 2: first time in Jacksonville. This game now in Houston, This
- 12:22Speaker 2: game for control of the AFC South. That's right. Week twelve,
- 12:25Speaker 2: Jaguars and Texans, a playoff game for control of the
- 12:30Speaker 2: AFC South coming up next year. How about those Texans?
- 12:36Speaker 2: How about the Bills for that matter? And where are
- 12:39Speaker 2: the Browns? We have eight teams down, We got twenty
- 12:44Speaker 2: four to go. You are watching the NFL Power Rankings Show,
- 12:48Speaker 2: Week number twelve, presented by Energizer. You are watching the
- 12:58Speaker 2: Thanksgiving an issue of the Week twelve edition to the
- 13:00Speaker 2: NFL Power Rankings presented by Energizer. The Cleveland Browns are
- 13:04Speaker 2: number nine with DTR They win, but don't go anywhere
- 13:07Speaker 2: in these rankings. The Houston Texans stay at ten as well,
- 13:12Speaker 2: followed by the Bills up three behind Joe Brady and
- 13:16Speaker 2: the Seahawks. The Steelers are somehow thirteen. Oh, they are
- 13:20Speaker 2: six and four. They fired Matt Canada. The Vikings, the Saints,
- 13:24Speaker 2: and the Indianapolis Colts round out the top sixteen. Remember
- 13:29Speaker 2: fourteen teams make the playoffs.
- 13:32Speaker 4: Eric.
- 13:32Speaker 2: The Cleveland Browns are seven and three for the first
- 13:35Speaker 2: time in franchise history. They beat the Ravens and the
- 13:40Speaker 2: Steelers in consecutive weeks, yet they don't move up in
- 13:45Speaker 2: your power ranking.
- 13:46Speaker 4: Why Yeah, similar as before.
- 13:49Speaker 3: It's you know, it's tough when most of the teams
- 13:52Speaker 3: ahead of them win, but you know they have to
- 13:55Speaker 3: be considered the one of the more improbable seven and
- 13:57Speaker 3: three teams. No Nick Chubb, no Deshaun Wattson other injuries
- 14:01Speaker 3: as well.
- 14:01Speaker 4: You know, they've had to bring in running backs off
- 14:03Speaker 4: the street at CELA.
- 14:04Speaker 3: I mean, it's been an impressive road to this point,
- 14:07Speaker 3: albeit a strange one, I will say. You know, Dorian Thompson.
- 14:10Speaker 3: Robinson has now faced two good defenses at his two starts.
- 14:14Speaker 3: I thought Sunday went a lot better than the first
- 14:16Speaker 3: one against the Ravens, so you know, credit to him.
- 14:19Speaker 4: Even though it was clear they had a leash.
- 14:21Speaker 3: On him, they weren't going to let him make too
- 14:22Speaker 3: many self inflicted mistakes, and he really didn't make that many, right,
- 14:26Speaker 3: the one interception off of Marii Cooper's hands.
- 14:28Speaker 4: So pretty good early, pretty good late, had.
- 14:31Speaker 3: That one nice throat of more to get things started,
- 14:33Speaker 3: and you know, it just it ends up defaulting, I think,
- 14:37Speaker 3: to leaning on this excellent defense that might give up
- 14:40Speaker 3: a player two, but for the most part is really good,
- 14:42Speaker 3: and the running backs are doing their job too. It's
- 14:45Speaker 3: just a really good team effort all the way around.
- 14:47Speaker 2: It's a defense that is forcing three and outs fifty
- 14:51Speaker 2: two percent of the time, which is the best this century.
- 14:57Speaker 2: That is just absurd, and that defense will be needed
- 15:00Speaker 2: when the Browns go on the road Week twelve and
- 15:02Speaker 2: the late four pm Eastern time window against a Broncos
- 15:05Speaker 2: team that is now one four in a row. So
- 15:09Speaker 2: the Browns don't go anywhere. They're sitting there at ten
- 15:12Speaker 2: the Houston Texans don't go anywhere. They are sitting there
- 15:15Speaker 2: at I'm sorry. The Browns are nine, the Texans are ten.
- 15:18Speaker 2: If the playoffs were to start today, the Houston Texans
- 15:21Speaker 2: Eric Edholme would be in as a wild card.
- 15:25Speaker 4: Think about that.
- 15:26Speaker 3: What a season it's been, right, I think early on
- 15:29Speaker 3: we measured our expectations. Rookie quarterback, first year head coach,
- 15:33Speaker 3: you know, newest GM. They're still putting this thing together.
- 15:36Speaker 3: Everything's in the draft next year. Forget all that.
- 15:38Speaker 2: CJ.
- 15:39Speaker 3: Stroud has come out and played great, But Sunday was
- 15:41Speaker 3: an important test for me, kind of like we were
- 15:43Speaker 3: talking about earlier with the Lions.
- 15:44Speaker 4: You want to see him win without their best stuff.
- 15:46Speaker 4: Did we think the.
- 15:47Speaker 3: Houston Texans could win a game like this against a
- 15:50Speaker 3: very plucky Arizona team?
- 15:52Speaker 4: When CJ.
- 15:52Speaker 3: Stroud threw two bad picks three for the game, two
- 15:56Speaker 3: in the second half, all of them in Arizona's end
- 15:59Speaker 3: of the field, so they were missing out on scoring opportunities.
- 16:02Speaker 3: They came back to back possessions, opening the door for Arizona,
- 16:06Speaker 3: and we saw Houston's defense.
- 16:08Speaker 4: Kind of take care of business. I'm not worried about Stroud,
- 16:11Speaker 4: but I have answered a question. Now, this isn't just
- 16:13Speaker 4: a one man operation.
- 16:14Speaker 3: I mean, he in tank Delaware great in the first half,
- 16:17Speaker 3: but then the defense kind of took over in the
- 16:19Speaker 3: second half.
- 16:20Speaker 4: Run games done its job. Devin Singletary has been a
- 16:22Speaker 4: revelation lately. Just something about this team is very plucky,
- 16:26Speaker 4: even though Sunday was struggled.
- 16:28Speaker 2: Yeah, CJ Striders the truth. We said that one hundred times.
- 16:31Speaker 2: Right now, there the sixth seed in the AFC. The
- 16:33Speaker 2: Jaguars are the four. But that flips if Houston beats
- 16:37Speaker 2: Jacksonville this week and then Houston has the sweep, and
- 16:41Speaker 2: then the upper hand win the division, and then I
- 16:44Speaker 2: know it's still November, potentially host a playoff game, the
- 16:48Speaker 2: Houston Texans potentially hosting a playoff game, which is just bonkers. Also,
- 16:53Speaker 2: the playoffs were to start today, the Bills would not
- 16:55Speaker 2: be in it. But Buffalo got a much, much, much
- 16:58Speaker 2: needed victory over the Jets this past week. Timed out
- 17:01Speaker 2: for Future Champions presented by pandueled. The odds to win
- 17:05Speaker 2: the AFC East still the Dolphins the front rudder, but
- 17:08Speaker 2: Buffalo it's got a lurk in there. At plus four
- 17:12Speaker 2: eighty listen. The Bills did not fix all their problems,
- 17:16Speaker 2: but Joe Brady said he wanted to see Josh Allen
- 17:18Speaker 2: have fun again. We saw that they scored thirty points
- 17:22Speaker 2: and they move up three spots in your power rankings.
- 17:26Speaker 4: They're not dead, No, not at all, right, I mean everything.
- 17:30Speaker 3: Every all week we feared the possibility of, hey, they
- 17:32Speaker 3: fire their offensive coordinator.
- 17:34Speaker 4: What happens if.
- 17:34Speaker 3: They lay an egg against a really good Jets defense.
- 17:37Speaker 3: Thankfully for them, that didn't happen. It took some patience, right,
- 17:40Speaker 3: It was a little bit slow starting, but they were
- 17:42Speaker 3: forcing Alan to take stuff underneath, to be patient.
- 17:45Speaker 4: And when he had the opportunity to.
- 17:47Speaker 3: Rip that throw to Khalil Shakir, you know, kind of guessing.
- 17:51Speaker 3: I think if it would sauce take a chance on it.
- 17:54Speaker 2: He did.
- 17:55Speaker 3: The pass gets completed, eighty one yard touchdown, longest place
- 17:58Speaker 3: since what Week five last year. I want to say,
- 18:00Speaker 3: that's the kind of play that look in a vacuum.
- 18:03Speaker 3: It's one touchdown, but I think it helps kind of
- 18:05Speaker 3: give them a little mojo back. Right, there is a
- 18:08Speaker 3: path to the playoffs. I know they still have plenty
- 18:10Speaker 3: of work to do. Some tough games left but some
- 18:12Speaker 3: very winnable ones too that can look back at all
- 18:15Speaker 3: their mistakes before. But they took care of businesses had
- 18:18Speaker 3: their best offensive showing since probably the Miami game in
- 18:21Speaker 3: Week four, and it's a step in the right direction,
- 18:23Speaker 3: which is what they needed.
- 18:25Speaker 2: And the turnover was on a hail Mary Listen. I
- 18:27Speaker 2: know I alluded to this earlier. It would not stun me.
- 18:30Speaker 2: If the Bills beat the Eagles this week. Philly coming
- 18:33Speaker 2: off an emotional win obviously the Super Bowl rematch a
- 18:36Speaker 2: short week, the Bill's feeling good about themselves. I'm not
- 18:39Speaker 2: saying it's going to happen. I'm not saying this is
- 18:41Speaker 2: a lock or anything like that. But if that happens
- 18:44Speaker 2: and then Buffalo gets to seven and five, this is
- 18:46Speaker 2: a very very different conversation. You got, Josh Allen. All
- 18:50Speaker 2: you gotta do is get in. Buffalo is sitting here
- 18:53Speaker 2: at number eleven, followed by the Seahawks at twelve, the
- 18:55Speaker 2: Steelers at thirteen, and the Minnesota Vikings who get the
- 19:00Speaker 2: Bears on Monday Night football at home, are sitting here
- 19:04Speaker 2: at number fourteen. Now they lost. They went into Denver.
- 19:08Speaker 2: I kind of sort of thought that was going to happen.
- 19:11Speaker 2: But you still like the vikings because fourteen teams make
- 19:15Speaker 2: the playoffs. Eric, you have them right there at the line.
- 19:19Speaker 4: I had to move them up right.
- 19:20Speaker 3: Again, it's sort of a function of what happened above
- 19:22Speaker 3: them and the Bengals losing and losing their quarterback. But yeah,
- 19:26Speaker 3: I mean they did sort of control this game and
- 19:29Speaker 3: lead for.
- 19:30Speaker 4: Most of it.
- 19:30Speaker 3: The formula was there, everything except for the turnover ratio.
- 19:34Speaker 3: I mean, that was the biggest thing minus three, you know,
- 19:37Speaker 3: I mean, you know, it was some sloppy BALLI they
- 19:40Speaker 3: had a turnover on the first play of the game,
- 19:42Speaker 3: Dobbs got away with a couple of throws and obviously
- 19:45Speaker 3: giving up that.
- 19:46Speaker 4: You know, the defense did a.
- 19:47Speaker 3: Great job for the most part, but did give up
- 19:50Speaker 3: the late touchdown drive. And you know, there's some positives here.
- 19:54Speaker 3: The run games seemed to wake up. Madison and Chandler
- 19:56Speaker 3: were really good together. We know Dobbs can make some
- 19:59Speaker 3: plays as well. Jefferson, we still think he's on the
- 20:01Speaker 3: track to coming back. Didn't make it back this past week, though,
- 20:04Speaker 3: So there's again they've they've done enough this season at
- 20:08Speaker 3: this point to put themselves in a position to get
- 20:10Speaker 3: in the postseason miraculously, but this is a game that
- 20:14Speaker 3: reminded them. I think that you know they can't play
- 20:17Speaker 3: so fast and loose on the road.
- 20:18Speaker 2: And another reminder, when Justin Jefferson does come back, he's
- 20:21Speaker 2: coming back to the Vikings. He's not coming back for
- 20:23Speaker 2: your fantasy football team. Okay, write that down. Stop messaging him,
- 20:28Speaker 2: please the team They lost to the Denver Broncos. Where
- 20:31Speaker 2: are they longest active winning streak in the NFL? Does
- 20:35Speaker 2: Eric at Hoolme liked them up to put him at
- 20:36Speaker 2: a good spot of the power rankings that's coming up?
- 20:38Speaker 2: Then you're watching the NFL Power Ranking Show presented to
- 20:49Speaker 2: you buy Energizer. The Denver Broncos have the longest active
- 20:53Speaker 2: winning streak in the NFL. They've won four in a row.
- 20:55Speaker 2: They're up three to seventeen. The Bengals plummet without Joe
- 20:58Speaker 2: Burrow down six to eighteen. Then the Chargers and the
- 21:02Speaker 2: Bucks at number twenty at twenty one, the Packers, the Falcons,
- 21:07Speaker 2: and the Los Angeles Rams. Eric at Holme, what do
- 21:11Speaker 2: you think of the Broncos. I mean, they're not really
- 21:14Speaker 2: doing much offensively, but Russ when needed, has made big
- 21:17Speaker 2: throws down the stretch in that defense has forced twelve
- 21:20Speaker 2: turnovers the last three weeks.
- 21:24Speaker 3: I mean, look, I think I've already done my Mia
- 21:26Speaker 3: Koppa on vance Joseph. Obviously, early in the season things
- 21:29Speaker 3: weren't looking great. They've made huge strides in that department.
- 21:32Speaker 4: Not perfect.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Run game defense should be a little run defense should
- 21:36Speaker 3: be a little better, but still impressive on that side.
- 21:39Speaker 4: And as you pointed out, you know they're still inconsistencies offensively.
- 21:42Speaker 3: But they have I would argue with superpower now Russ
- 21:45Speaker 3: finding Courtland Sutton. Five straight games they've hit for a
- 21:49Speaker 3: touchdown pass and two straight where it's been in.
- 21:51Speaker 4: The spectacular fashion.
- 21:52Speaker 3: So after a game where Sutton's had some drops and
- 21:55Speaker 3: fumbles and stuff, Russ has them been perfect. They seem
- 21:59Speaker 3: to find a way to come together when it's most needed.
- 22:01Speaker 2: Okay, and they won in primetime, and yeah, the Broncos
- 22:04Speaker 2: right now are a thing. The Bengals, however, lost in primetime,
- 22:07Speaker 2: but they also lost their quarterback for the season. You
- 22:10Speaker 2: have Cincinnati at eighteen with Jake Browning now at quarterback.
- 22:15Speaker 2: I mean, they're kind of toast, aren't they.
- 22:18Speaker 4: I think? So look at their schedule.
- 22:19Speaker 3: First of all, right, I mean, they have an equal
- 22:22Speaker 3: number of home games and away games haven't been great
- 22:24Speaker 3: on the road.
- 22:24Speaker 4: We don't know much about Browning.
- 22:26Speaker 3: He looked all right at times in relief, but still
- 22:29Speaker 3: expecting him to be anywhere close to Burrows level is
- 22:31Speaker 3: going to be very, very tough. So I think they
- 22:34Speaker 3: were on the outside looking in even.
- 22:36Speaker 4: With Burrow had he not gotten hurt.
- 22:38Speaker 3: And like I said, with Pittsburgh, Jacksonville, even a plucky
- 22:41Speaker 3: Indianapolis team coming up next, they've got to be near
- 22:43Speaker 3: perfect and still hope for t Higgins and Jamar Chase
- 22:46Speaker 3: to be healthy down the stretch.
- 22:48Speaker 4: To me, yes, too much.
- 22:50Speaker 2: Plucky is your favorite word of the day for this show.
- 22:53Speaker 2: I wonder if opplies to the Green Bay Packers because
- 22:56Speaker 2: they have won a couple of games against the two
- 22:59Speaker 2: LA teams. They are making power moves presented by Energizer.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Look at the Packers at home. You've got them at
- 23:06Speaker 2: twenty two.
- 23:07Speaker 4: Plucky, that's what they are.
- 23:10Speaker 3: I guess right, Jordan Love. I mean, this is the
- 23:12Speaker 3: game we've been waiting for for a long time. Again,
- 23:14Speaker 3: you can say the Chargers haven't played great defense this year,
- 23:17Speaker 3: but we wanted to see it, right, and especially with
- 23:19Speaker 3: those young playmakers. They got Musgrave involved on Arrian Wicks
- 23:23Speaker 3: and finally Christian Watson didn't have any catches early in
- 23:26Speaker 3: that game, but came up with some big ones later on.
- 23:28Speaker 3: So that's the connection we want to see happened. Worried
- 23:31Speaker 3: about the Aaron Jones injury.
- 23:32Speaker 4: That's a problem, but they're.
- 23:34Speaker 3: Finding a way with AJ Dillon and Love sort of
- 23:37Speaker 3: picking it up a little bit and the defense keeping
- 23:39Speaker 3: scores low.
- 23:39Speaker 4: Andrew that's big part of it as well.
- 23:41Speaker 2: They are finding a way somehow. We haven't forgotten the
- 23:45Speaker 2: bottom of the power rankings. Here for your dining and
- 23:49Speaker 2: dancing and Thanksgiving table argument pleasure. The Jets at twenty five,
- 23:53Speaker 2: followed by the Commanders, the Titans, the Bears, the Giants,
- 23:56Speaker 2: the Cardinals, the Patriots, and the Carolina Panthers. That does it.
- 23:59Speaker 2: Thanks for watching, Thanks for listening everybody. Eric, Happy Thanksgiving
- 24:03Speaker 2: to you and your family and enjoy your football.
- 24:07Speaker 4: You too, Thank you, match, I appreciate that.
- 24:10Speaker 2: Hey, we're gonna try happy Thanksgiving out there. Everyone be
