Newly unearthed Byzantine monastery to be uprooted for new neighborhood
In archaeological news, a large monastery with an impressive mosaic and many artifacts including rare horse toys dating from the Roman and Byzantine period has been uncovered in a salvage dig as part of plans to expand Karmei Gat in the center of the country.
