Transcript
- 0:04Hi, I'm Jay felon. And you are listening to the
- 0:06slippery slope. Where today is the fifth of the
- 0:13fifth. So the fifth of May 20-22 this
- 0:17year's flying by, just absolutely amazes me.
- 0:19I was talking to my wife yesterday, she was just blown
- 0:23away how fast this year's gone you know.
- 0:26It just seems like it was only last week that we're celebrating
- 0:30Christmas in the New Year's and talking about 20. 22 media was
- 0:34hiking up, how, you know, will see the kind of the dawn of a
- 0:37new era. Everything's going to change.
- 0:40You know, it's all just good news and puff pieces.
- 0:42Now we put covid behind us numbers.
- 0:47True anyway. That's that's what they were
- 0:49telling us that the start of the year.
- 0:51It's interesting. What's actually happened hate
- 0:54what I really want to talk about today is something that
- 0:57happened. Very disappointing.
- 1:01Very disappointing. Dave Chappelle comedian.
- 1:04Dave, Chappelle was attacked. He was slammed on stage at
- 1:08Hollywood Bowl, and the attacker pulled a, it was actually a
- 1:12replica gun, that actually injects a knife, when you use it
- 1:16properly. So he was attacked on stage
- 1:18while performing, so on TMZ reports, it's the history.
- 1:24Okay, around this around Dave, Chappelle's latest, a series of
- 1:27shows. Is that Chappelle's for night
- 1:30engagement at the Hollywood. Bowl ties him with Monty Python
- 1:34for the most headline shows for a queue for a comedian at the
- 1:37venue. And so, the force old are shows.
- 1:40Drew 70,000 fans. Absolutely amazing.
- 1:43It's fantastic. So, sometime during the
- 1:46performance, a man by the name of Isaiah and Lee is jumped up
- 1:50on stage and attacked. Dave Chappelle is a 23 year old
- 1:54man and he's currently being held on bail.
- 1:58So the Hollywood Bowl is performance on Tuesday night,
- 2:01came to a temporary screeching halt, when someone this Isaiah
- 2:06Lee, rushed the stage and attacked comedian.
- 2:09And it was especially scary because the guy looked like he
- 2:13was, he pulled out a gun will look like a gun.
- 2:15It's later revealed that it was a replica gun.
- 2:18So went down toward the end of Dave show and the show is
- 2:22actually called Netflix's a joke.
- 2:24So it's part of the Netflix's joke, Festival.
- 2:27The man who was in the audience. Gordon stage manhandled, Dave
- 2:32tackling in violently and slamming him on the hard stage.
- 2:37So, law enforcement have told TMZ the attacker actually
- 2:41pointed the gun at Chappell as you rushed him.
- 2:45We're told the gun was not real. It was replica of the
- 2:47semi-automatic. It's also weirdly had a knife
- 2:51attached to the gun. In the question, the question
- 2:54the police are asking at this moment is how did this how did
- 2:58this person? Isaiah, how did he get this
- 3:00past, the metal detectors, which is very strange.
- 3:04So, and eyewitnesses told TMZ of the attacker got up started
- 3:08running as a swarm people with. After him, he was running around
- 3:12the screen on the stage. When as the eyewitness putted
- 3:15the mob caught up with him and beat the crap out of him.
- 3:18Stomping on him. The eye, the eye witness is
- 3:21Jamie Foxx as in comedian actor, singer, all that Jamie Foxx and
- 3:27Busta Rhymes. Few licks in awesome.
- 3:31We're told Dave is okay but the attacker was injured and taken
- 3:35by stretcher to an ambulance we're told he's currently in the
- 3:38hospital. They look the main reason why I
- 3:41want to talk about it. That generally you know talk
- 3:44about celebrity issues, celebrity things.
- 3:47However this attack I believe you could, you could find it a
- 3:51direct correlation between what happened with Chris Rock.
- 3:54And that clown fool idiots Will Smith With what Smith has done
- 4:01is placed it out in the arena, in the mind of the public.
- 4:04That it is generally, okay? Now to go and attack people on
- 4:09stage because you don't like something that they have said.
- 4:12What's worse about him? Attacking Chris Rock is that
- 4:15there was there were not any ramifications, okay, Will Smith
- 4:20should have been arrested publicly immediately and the
- 4:24academy should have taken steps public steps immediately So, the
- 4:29people know that this kind of behavior, this kind of stupidity
- 4:33is not, okay, in the public arena is not okay anywhere
- 4:38violence on any other person is just not okay, especially when
- 4:42it is just words, okay? You can have, I think violence
- 4:45is okay if you're defending yourself, but if you're just not
- 4:49liking what someone else is saying, you don't appreciate it,
- 4:52that does not give you the right to physically attack them.
- 4:56And I think what Will Smith has done.
- 4:58I do. Bye-bye attacking, Chris Rock,
- 5:00So publicly on a world stage and then also by the Academy Awards
- 5:06by not taking action immediately.
- 5:09So that the world could see that this behavior is not okay and
- 5:13that you cannot just go up and attack a performer because you
- 5:18don't like what they say. Will Smith should have been
- 5:21taken down in public, he should have been arrested, he should be
- 5:25in handcuffs, he should be led away.
- 5:27But instead what happened, half an hour later he was up on the
- 5:31very stage at he'd attack. Chris Rock, receiving an award,
- 5:35and receiving a standing ovation by all those other clans in
- 5:38Hollywood. Everyone's cheering and clapping
- 5:42for him only solved and cried and wept like a like a, like a
- 5:47fool, but no respect for, Will Smith at all?
- 5:52If you didn't quite pick that up but because of what Will Smith
- 5:55was allowed to get away with. Okay?
- 5:57This his little rap on the knuckles, you know, having to
- 6:01stand down from the academy, who cares that stupid rap on the
- 6:05knuckles. There is no justice in that.
- 6:09And all the world sees is hey you're allowed to Russia stage
- 6:14and attack someone on stage and nothing will happen.
- 6:17Well, this time something is going to happen, but it is very
- 6:20lucky that Dave Chappelle wasn't killed, I believe that Isaiah
- 6:24Lee isn't the only one to blame. I also place the blame squarely
- 6:30at the foot of the clown. Will Smith and the Academy
- 6:34Awards for not taking instant direct action at the The time of
- 6:39that attack. So anyway, that's all I really
- 6:42want to say about that. It's just I think it's
- 6:44disgusting. It Will Smith also can be blind.
- 6:50And I think it's just shows the degradation of free speech
- 6:54within Western Society. Now, one of the things I want to
- 7:06discuss today as well, talking about Free Speech, this story
- 7:10came up and it's what happened in New Zealand.
- 7:13A couple of days ago, leaves me speechless at this kind of thing
- 7:16can happen in New Zealand, but really we've seen the decay of
- 7:20of democracy in New Zealand over the last couple of years.
- 7:23And I lay the blame squarely at the feet of their prime
- 7:25minister, just into our Dune. I don't think she's a good
- 7:28leader. Okay, and, but hey, as I've said
- 7:32before, is in another episode, there is no coincidence that she
- 7:36is also being part of the Klaus Schwab School of school of
- 7:43leaders can remember was called. Well, I've done another episode.
- 7:47I'll put a link up for that in the description here.
- 7:49I did an episode of that late last year about about people,
- 7:53who've attended the Klaus Schwab School of leadership and she was
- 7:58being a part of that and it's no coincidence.
- 7:59The things that she after attending that is now, is now
- 8:04the prime minister of New Zealand and I don't think she's
- 8:07a good a good advocate for for real democracy.
- 8:10Think she's just a dictator in Disguise.
- 8:13Anyway, this headline comes from the guardian.
- 8:15It says the New Zealand's. Former deputy prime, minister
- 8:19has been banned from Parliament for visiting anti-vaccine,
- 8:24mandate protest. So if you remember, if you might
- 8:28have seen on use it was a big protests going on in New Zealand
- 8:31and near their Parliament for a long attacking is actually on
- 8:34their Parliament grounds for quite a long period.
- 8:37So the article goes on to say that.
- 8:39So the former deputy prime minister Winston Peters.
- 8:42You've been banned from Parliament grounds for two
- 8:45years, for visiting anti-vaccine mandate protesters, who occupied
- 8:50the grounds. The weeks-long February protests
- 8:55which are modeled on the Canadian truckers Freedom
- 8:57Convoy. They took over Parliament
- 8:59grounds and blocked off a number of surrounding streets in the
- 9:03days of the occupation. The speaker issued a trespass,
- 9:06notice to all attendees, but efforts by police dispersed, the
- 9:10Gathering were repeatedly, repelled until it's ended into a
- 9:14violent Riot with at least 40 injured, while tenths piles of
- 9:18rubble and a playground were set aflame.
- 9:21So, Peter's, who was Deputy Prime Minister in adjusting the
- 9:24audience. First coalition government have
- 9:27visited the occupation in its early days and he was saying I
- 9:32hope to encourage the protesters to demand that, they be heard.
- 9:37So Peters on Tuesday, said he had received a two-year
- 9:41trespass. Notice for that.
- 9:42Visit blaming house Speaker, Trevor Mallard for the decision,
- 9:48he is quoted. But as saying this state, Peters
- 9:53is quoted as saying this dictate.
- 9:55Toriel Behavior should be reserved for third-world banana.
- 9:59Republics in a statement quoted by news Hub, what's more
- 10:04astounding? Is that the Speaker of the House
- 10:06of Representatives in our country could possibly attempt
- 10:10to trespass, former members of parliament of whom some, our
- 10:13leaders of political parties planning to run against the
- 10:17sitting government in another 18 months time.
- 10:20So in there was there's a difference between Those have
- 10:23visited the precinct and those who took on active part in the
- 10:26protest he added which it seems that that's all he did.
- 10:30He went there and and just visit to the precinct, the voiced, his
- 10:35support for these people. Okay?
- 10:38And everyone should be allowed to voice your support.
- 10:42Voice your opinion on these things.
- 10:44So Peters, lost his parliamentary spot after his
- 10:47party failed to win, five percent of the votes but says he
- 10:50intends to run in the next election.
- 10:52So he's not the only one to receive trespass.
- 10:54Notice that X National Party, MP math King, who also plans to run
- 10:59the next New Zealand election with the newly formed, democracy
- 11:03and Zed party. He's received a notice in late
- 11:06April violation, of the notices could result in a fine of up to
- 11:10one thousand dollars or up to three months.
- 11:13Three months, imprisonment. Wow, for attending.
- 11:18For attending a protest. How ridiculous is that?
- 11:22So in New Zealand, the speaker had responsibility for
- 11:25parliament's grounds and buildings Millard.
- 11:27Gender generated headlines for his unusual tactics in trying to
- 11:31evict the protesters from the lon including turning on the
- 11:35sprinklers and Blasting. Barry Manilow lasting Barry
- 11:39Manilow from parliament's Lab speaks often those tactics
- 11:43appeared to backfire galvanizing rather than discouraging the
- 11:47crowds. So prime minister Jacinda are
- 11:50doing Told stuff, which is a media outlet that the decision
- 11:56rested with Mallard. But she had asked that he
- 11:58discussed the decision, with all parties to try to reach
- 12:02consensus. Ultimately this does sit with
- 12:05the speaker, but I think it is useful.
- 12:07This is just into the doing speaking, quoting her saying,
- 12:10but I think is useful for parties to be able to hear him
- 12:13out about how we came to the decision and to make a joint
- 12:17decision as much as they're able to about whether or not MP.
- 12:20PS should ultimately be treated differently than everyone else.
- 12:24Miller did not respond to requests for comment, okay?
- 12:28So first off, there is no condemnation coming from our
- 12:31dirt. She's stated that she's just
- 12:34asked him to discuss it with other with the rest of the
- 12:37political parties. There in New Zealand, it does
- 12:42seem that this is just a blatant attack on the freedom of speech,
- 12:46a blatant attack on freedom of opinion.
- 12:50You cannot even go and support people who would think
- 12:54differently? How dare you think differently
- 12:56than what the Prime Minister would want you to think how dare
- 13:00you stand up and voice your opinion on the mandates?
- 13:04How dare you not go along with these decisions that she has
- 13:08made the mandates that she is brought in?
- 13:13And enforced. How dare you stand up for your
- 13:16rights in the country and you will be banned from Parliament.
- 13:21Which in my mind Parliament is open Parliament, has been paid
- 13:25for by the public the Zealand's, not that different from
- 13:28Australia. Okay.
- 13:30Parliament. The Parliament building the
- 13:33grounds they're publicly funded. They're not a private entity,
- 13:37just Cinder a Dern or this Mallard.
- 13:40They might be in charge, he might be in charge and make the
- 13:43rules. But as Public Funding, that
- 13:45brought about this, the construction of the building
- 13:48these grounds, the upkeep of the grounds. that's all Public
- 13:52Funding taxpayer money and to be able to ban people, to be able
- 13:57to be in MPS to be able to ban a former deputy prime minister
- 14:04because they have voiced their opinion because their voice
- 14:06their support because they are standing up for free speech
- 14:09because they're standing up for freedom of thought because they
- 14:12are standing up for their constituents that's despicable
- 14:17and we are seeing the constant erosion of fries Each the
- 14:21constant erosion of free thought.
- 14:23If you do not go along with what the government says, with
- 14:28thought the government dictates, well, this is, they are falling
- 14:32into a Banana Republic. Dare.
- 14:34I say it, a police state, New Zealand and Australia both
- 14:40running absolutely running towards becoming a police state.
- 14:45We need to be on guard against these kinds of attacks on our
- 14:49democracies and not allow them. Um, to just be swept under the
- 14:52carpet, keep putting them in the spotlight, keep putting the
- 14:57dictators, like to send her a Dern under the spotlight.
- 15:00Keep questioning her actions, her behaviors, keep looking at
- 15:04her, her past and questioning how she got into, how she got
- 15:09into Power, what is it about her past that got her there.
- 15:13What is it about? Her connection with Klaus
- 15:15Schwab. What is it about their disdain
- 15:17for free speech, or their disdain for anyone?
- 15:21That would argue against the way they think.
- 15:23And against the things that they want, why is it that these
- 15:27people make these mandates then do and they do not want anyone
- 15:32to argue against it. You're not allowed to have your
- 15:35own opinion. That is not a free speech.
- 15:38That is not a free nation, that is not democracy.
- 15:41We are on the ultimate slippery slope, and as I keep saying, we
- 15:45need to keep our politicians honest.
- 15:49We need to keep the pressure on and questioning them.
- 15:53We need to keep them honest. That's my opinion.
- 15:58Fight for free speech. This country is only free
- 16:02because people have shed Blood, Sweat, and Tears to help make it
- 16:09so. So do not discard the pain and
- 16:14the effort that people have gone through, so that we can have a
- 16:17free Nation. Do not discard that we need to
- 16:20stand up for our right of speech, the right of free
- 16:24thought and hold our politicians accountable for their actions.
- 16:28Actions. That's my opinion.
- 16:30Thank you for listening.
