- 1:11Speaker 1: you guys behind. I went to New Jersey a few
- 1:13Speaker 1: years ago, but I needed space. I needed space. I
- 1:16Speaker 1: got a nice, big house now, like it was hard,
- 1:19Speaker 1: you know, Like the story is cool, but them apartments
- 1:21Speaker 1: being like the size of man two by fours and
- 1:24Speaker 1: you're paying three four grand like nah, yeah.
- 1:27Speaker 4: I remember my first time when I went to New York.
- 1:30Speaker 4: I stayed in a hotel right by the network that
- 1:35Speaker 4: I was working at at the time, and I was like, man,
- 1:37Speaker 4: I'm talking about my room was so small.
- 1:41Speaker 1: I was like, like, fell out the window.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Yeah it was. I thought it was a mistake.
- 1:46Speaker 4: I was like, there's no way you call the front
- 1:50Speaker 4: desk like yo, put me in this room like all
- 1:54Speaker 4: of our units are like that.
- 1:55Speaker 2: I'm like, bro, I'm talking about hit the window.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Yeah, got her a bit, you know.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Anyways, how did you start doing music? And when did
- 2:05Speaker 2: you start doing music?
- 2:07Speaker 1: Yesterday, that's what it feels like. But now it's been
- 2:12Speaker 1: it's been like six weeks actually working like professionally. But man,
- 2:19Speaker 1: I've been singing since I was a baby, like in
- 2:21Speaker 1: the shower and the house, in the car, you know,
- 2:25Speaker 1: like I karaoke forget I'm the karaoke queen. If you
- 2:28Speaker 1: know me, you know, I'm like every weekend we rent
- 2:32Speaker 1: private rooms. We just sing our ass off, me and
- 2:35Speaker 1: my girls. But and and we would be singing. And
- 2:38Speaker 1: anytime I was like I was up, they'd be like
- 2:42Speaker 1: that they didn't know who it was. Was it is
- 2:44Speaker 1: it you? Like I'm like yeah, you know, like they
- 2:46Speaker 1: like damn. Everyone would always tell me like you gotta
- 2:49Speaker 1: stop playing, like you got a good boys even ghosts.
- 2:52Speaker 1: He's like, you gotta stop. This is how it happened.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Like I was posting videos on Instagram singing in my
- 2:58Speaker 1: house ket because I don't have a whole karaoke machine
- 3:01Speaker 1: in my house.
- 3:01Speaker 2: You have a karaoke tell me.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I get by myself. I will sing my ass
- 3:06Speaker 1: off in my basement because I like build like a
- 3:08Speaker 1: whole little thing in my basement, little babe cave. And
- 3:12Speaker 1: I'd be just singing my butt off and he's like,
- 3:15Speaker 1: you better stop playing, like you actually have a very
- 3:17Speaker 1: good tone, like you know, we need to get you
- 3:19Speaker 1: in the studio. And I'm like, man, you know, I
- 3:23Speaker 1: grew up tough, like dreams don't pay the bills vibes
- 3:27Speaker 1: like for me, that was a dream, you know, Like
- 3:30Speaker 1: I don't know. I know it's real. I know what
- 3:32Speaker 1: happens obviously. I watch people every day blow up, become famous.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Every day every day.
- 3:37Speaker 1: But I know, and I just I guess I don't know.
- 3:41Speaker 1: I just grew up super tough, So I just I
- 3:45Speaker 1: forgot about it at some point, you know. But then
- 3:47Speaker 1: he kept putting that in my ear, and I'm like,
- 3:49Speaker 1: you know what it's I come to Vegas, let's just
- 3:51Speaker 1: do so I'm like, let's go, and I just went.
- 3:55Speaker 1: I I was shocked on myself, but I was like,
- 3:57Speaker 1: I'm going, you know. And I guess it's always timing too.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Timing is essential. I felt my time. I was done
- 4:07Speaker 1: with the games, playing around for I'm tired of karaoke,
- 4:10Speaker 1: you know. I'm like, I want to sing for real,
- 4:12Speaker 1: let's do this. So when I went, I'm like, let
- 4:15Speaker 1: me see what he's about, you know, because you never know.
- 4:16Speaker 1: People say things. But no, he's a goat, go like
- 4:20Speaker 1: he's for real. He's a man of many trades, like
- 4:23Speaker 1: he's anything. My songs, writing the songs, doing the beats,
- 4:27Speaker 1: doing the engineer like he's he's so.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Yeah, shout out, shout out.
- 4:32Speaker 1: The ghost Man's a ghost for real because he's a goat.
- 4:36Speaker 2: But that's why you can never give up on your dream.
- 4:38Speaker 1: It's superhuman.
- 4:38Speaker 2: I always tell him, Yeah, yeah, yeah, ghost.
- 4:41Speaker 4: He he will workaholic too, you know what I'm saying,
- 4:44Speaker 4: Like he.
- 4:46Speaker 2: He work aholic, Like he all about his business and
- 4:50Speaker 2: I like working and he's tough.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Not everyone could take that. I could take it, you know,
- 4:55Speaker 1: but he's yeah, yeah, he's like.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Now you got to you gotta single out with Pleasure P.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Right now? Yes, sir, Now, how's it? How's the record doing?
- 5:05Speaker 1: Howe o God, Pleasure P. I'm so happy, Like that's
- 5:11Speaker 1: a big deal for me, you know, because I'm just
- 5:13Speaker 1: coming up. He's obviously an established artists R and B everything.
- 5:17Speaker 1: He's awesome. You know. I don't know if he can curse,
- 5:20Speaker 1: but I definitely curse. He's fucking awesome, and I'm so
- 5:25Speaker 1: I was super happy about him coming on and he
- 5:27Speaker 1: did his thing. It was cool. The chemistry, like the
- 5:31Speaker 1: song just went together so perfectly.
- 5:34Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, yeah, you know, one thing one thing about
- 5:37Speaker 4: Pleasure P and A and A and a lot of
- 5:40Speaker 4: things that you you're gonna start seeing in the businesses.
- 5:42Speaker 4: A lot of people can't really sing, like a lot
- 5:45Speaker 4: of people don't sound like they records like Pleasure p
- 5:47Speaker 4: actually sounds live.
- 5:50Speaker 2: How he sounds in the studio.
- 5:52Speaker 1: That's big. It's true, Like a lot of people don't
- 5:56Speaker 1: sound like that.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Yeah. Now now you also, you're going crazy in New
- 6:00Speaker 2: York with your music.
- 6:01Speaker 4: Ghost was telling me, like, man, you got all the baddies.
- 6:06Speaker 2: In New York.
- 6:08Speaker 1: You know, that's one thing. I got baddies for days,
- 6:11Speaker 1: Like we outside for real, for real, we outside every weekend,
- 6:15Speaker 1: best spats, private clubs. They played my song everywhere we go.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Now like it's so it's literally so cool really like
- 6:23Speaker 1: it's been a dream.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Isn't Isn't it crazy? H tc?
- 6:27Speaker 4: That Like when when we were talking about music, right,
- 6:29Speaker 4: so we got we have an artist that we just interview.
- 6:31Speaker 4: Her name yk Nice. Now the crazy thing. She has
- 6:35Speaker 4: a song when Whimmy. I don't know if you've heard
- 6:37Speaker 4: that song before. It's a really popular song. She was
- 6:40Speaker 4: a security guard at our building in January.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Oh wow, outside side for real, she was outside.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Wow. She has the biggest song in Atlanta. She's featured
- 6:52Speaker 2: on Metro.
- 6:53Speaker 1: I love that for her.
- 6:54Speaker 2: So you it's like what we talked about, Like how
- 6:56Speaker 2: you said, Man, I see people blowing up, yes, all
- 6:58Speaker 2: the time, like you know, been on social media possible.
- 7:01Speaker 4: And it's possible, Like it's the internet really makes everything possible.
- 7:07Speaker 1: No, don't get started on the internet. Because the Internet
- 7:09Speaker 1: right now, we got these people that maybe forty years
- 7:13Speaker 1: old dancing in their living room and they're blowing up,
- 7:16Speaker 1: like girl, sit down. But I respect it. I respect it,
- 7:20Speaker 1: you know. But that's just to show like how easy
- 7:24Speaker 1: it is with our you know, our technology nowadays and
- 7:27Speaker 1: the Internet, like the platforms that we have. It's super
- 7:31Speaker 1: easy now more than ever. But I also still feel
- 7:34Speaker 1: like you need to have talent, you need to be likable, lovable,
- 7:36Speaker 1: all of that, you know.
- 7:37Speaker 4: And that's the biggest thing personality. Personality is probably bigger
- 7:41Speaker 4: than music now, like you.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Know, you know too, I'm sure you'd be scrolling sometimes
- 7:47Speaker 1: you just randomly see a video and you're like, oh,
- 7:48Speaker 1: they're actually funny, like and there will be nobody's a
- 7:51Speaker 1: little few followers, but you will still follow them and
- 7:54Speaker 1: everything because they're just funny, genuinely like people are you
- 7:58Speaker 1: know people doing it now?
- 8:00Speaker 4: I do want to ask a couple of questions. Right, so,
- 8:04Speaker 4: what is your top five restaurants in New York?
- 8:08Speaker 1: I gotta say I love there's so many. I'm a
- 8:13Speaker 1: I'm a foodie. I'm a foodie, but I love Carbone right,
- 8:18Speaker 1: and I got some friends there.
- 8:20Speaker 3: They take care of me.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Okay, Corner Store, super Fire, I like beef Bar. What else?
- 8:31Speaker 1: Top By that is three hmmm two more? I love
- 8:38Speaker 1: Philip Child. Sorry I should have said them first, because
- 8:40Speaker 1: you know, they really my people though, they really take
- 8:42Speaker 1: care of me. I like to go. I'm like, you know,
- 8:46Speaker 1: when somebody knows your name, literally like I don't like
- 8:50Speaker 1: to go somewhere people act like oh yeah.
- 8:52Speaker 2: I'm like, oh no, yeah, you know you know you
- 8:56Speaker 2: owe us one more? Two?
- 8:58Speaker 1: I owe you one more? Okay, m say less.
- 9:04Speaker 4: I knew he was gonna say that, did you. Angela
- 9:08Speaker 4: been trying to like every time I go to New York.
- 9:10Speaker 4: She be like, I gotta take.
- 9:11Speaker 2: You to say last like that.
- 9:12Speaker 1: They have hookah too.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Yeah. I like, I like, what's what's the other spot
- 9:18Speaker 2: in New York? All the time, I can't I can't
- 9:23Speaker 2: think of it. It's it's a hookah spot to.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Start a p oh Pergola Pergola super vibe.
- 9:39Speaker 4: But you're right though, that's that's that's really important when
- 9:42Speaker 4: we talk about people know your name when you go
- 9:45Speaker 4: to because I'm not gonna lie, Like if I go
- 9:48Speaker 4: to a spot like more than a handful of times
- 9:51Speaker 4: and you don't remember.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Me because because it's customer service and it's it's expensive
- 9:59Speaker 1: to go on, Yes, it's really expensive to go out.
- 10:02Speaker 4: So if I go to your place a handful of time,
- 10:04Speaker 4: more than a handful of times.
- 10:06Speaker 2: And you still don't remember you, I'm not spending no more.
- 10:09Speaker 1: I don't like that. I'm sorry. Yeah, Like it's not
- 10:11Speaker 1: about being like bougie or whatever, but like customer service,
- 10:14Speaker 1: Like I'm here every week, I'm bringing people, I'm supporting
- 10:18Speaker 1: your restaurant. I'm spending money. You gotta look out for me.
- 10:22Speaker 1: You just see me once. You know, you see me
- 10:24Speaker 1: all the time, you know what? You know what I mean?
- 10:26Speaker 4: Like, come on and in a in a in a
- 10:30Speaker 4: economy that we have right now to where it's like people, bro,
- 10:34Speaker 4: it's like I know people that be like yo, I
- 10:37Speaker 4: haven't been out to eat in months. I will cook
- 10:40Speaker 4: at home right, and and you know, I'm starting to
- 10:43Speaker 4: understand them a little more and more because I'm like,
- 10:46Speaker 4: I'd have been to a couple of spots and.
- 10:47Speaker 2: They ain't they remember me.
- 10:49Speaker 4: I'm over here, like every time I come here is
- 10:52Speaker 4: you know the bill over over two dollars?
- 10:54Speaker 2: You know you know.
- 10:57Speaker 1: What I'm saying.
- 10:58Speaker 4: I don't want to you look at you to be
- 11:00Speaker 4: like I spent a thousand dollars here this month.
- 11:02Speaker 2: You don't know.
- 11:03Speaker 4: Okay, It's okay, Yeah, I'll take my business elsewhere.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Another old question that I have best Delhi, New York,
- 11:14Speaker 2: best Deli Compton's Compton.
- 11:18Speaker 1: I don't know if y'all heard about this. It's say
- 11:20Speaker 1: they started in Queens. They started in Long Island City,
- 11:24Speaker 1: Queens and now they have them in Jersey, which I'm
- 11:27Speaker 1: happy about because I was missing it. They got the
- 11:30Speaker 1: best sandwiches them and there's a it's a very like
- 11:34Speaker 1: mom and pop shop, but it's called Chris Charles. What
- 11:38Speaker 1: is it? Chris Charles. Oh, it's so good. It's in
- 11:43Speaker 1: the Story of two.
- 11:46Speaker 4: You're putting up so game because these the clips are
- 11:47Speaker 4: gonna go viral and everybody gonna be in them comments like.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Like gotta wait. No, no, no, we done with that.
- 12:02Speaker 4: So it's New Jersey where people from New York go
- 12:06Speaker 4: to move when you actually started making money and you
- 12:09Speaker 4: want to have a community.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Yeah, Lia, they got a dollar two.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true. That's true. I think so, I think
- 12:22Speaker 1: so I'm not some big people in Drew. I mean,
- 12:25Speaker 1: I can never forget this moment because she's my favorite
- 12:28Speaker 1: person of all times, since I was a little girl,
- 12:32Speaker 1: like I was wrapping everything, curse words, all that. I
- 12:35Speaker 1: don't care little Kim. I'm in CBS at the register
- 12:40Speaker 1: and she's like, oh my god. You know, she gave
- 12:43Speaker 1: me a compliment, and I turned around. I didn't want
- 12:45Speaker 1: to be like hello, like are you fucking serious? You
- 12:49Speaker 1: are my favorite? But I you know, I played it cool.
- 12:53Speaker 1: I was like, oh, thank you so much, but in
- 12:55Speaker 1: my heart I was dying. I was like, my god,
- 12:58Speaker 1: what is she doing in CBS? And then I said
- 13:00Speaker 1: to my friend when obviously obviously that's what I'm trying
- 13:04Speaker 1: to tell you about Jersey. I'm figuring out that they
- 13:06Speaker 1: all be there, like they there's a lot of them.
- 13:09Speaker 1: And I and I said to my friend when I left,
- 13:11Speaker 1: I was like, yo, y'all really be outside because you know,
- 13:13Speaker 1: she's another famous person. I was like, yeah, y'all really
- 13:17Speaker 1: be outside because I just bumped to a little kid.
- 13:20Speaker 1: When I turned around, I didn't expect to see her,
- 13:21Speaker 1: so I was like whoa. I was like, okay, that
- 13:23Speaker 1: was cool. So they really be out there.
- 13:26Speaker 2: That's fine.
- 13:27Speaker 4: Now, Nissa, what's some things that you do when you
- 13:30Speaker 4: having a bad day?
- 13:32Speaker 1: Workout? I love to work out. That's my obsession since
- 13:35Speaker 1: I'm like, I started at fifteen. You know, my mom
- 13:39Speaker 1: passed when I was fourteen. I didn't know what to
- 13:41Speaker 1: do with all these feelings. It was a lot.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Oh wow.
- 13:44Speaker 1: I had two outlets. My first one initially was writing.
- 13:46Speaker 1: I started writing poetry, short stories just like diary vibes.
- 13:51Speaker 1: And then I knew that it wasn't enough. Like it
- 13:54Speaker 1: was my mental was being you know, healed, but I
- 13:57Speaker 1: needed physical. I needed to do something with my myself
- 14:00Speaker 1: other than just hang out with my friends and go
- 14:02Speaker 1: out like I was like, no, this is crazy. And yeah,
- 14:05Speaker 1: I worked, I hustled, but I needed something physical and
- 14:07Speaker 1: I joined the gym when I was fifteen. I never stopped.
- 14:10Speaker 1: There's no like, oh, I haven't been to the gym
- 14:12Speaker 1: in two weeks. I don't know how that feels. Since fifteen,
- 14:17Speaker 1: I have twenty years in the gym. Like, that's that's
- 14:19Speaker 1: my real outlet, that's my shit. So that's what I
- 14:23Speaker 1: do when I'm not feeling you know, I do it anyways.
- 14:25Speaker 1: I'm happy, I'm sad, i'm mad, I'm angry. That shit
- 14:28Speaker 1: always makes me feel better.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Okay, now we got sw with some gears. What's some
- 14:32Speaker 2: things that got you after? What's some things to get
- 14:37Speaker 2: on your nerves?
- 14:40Speaker 1: I just don't like, like, you know what. I really
- 14:43Speaker 1: don't like people that don't give credit words to or
- 14:47Speaker 1: like if you're a good person, because I'm a very
- 14:49Speaker 1: good person. Like people who genuinely know me. No, like
- 14:52Speaker 1: I ride from mine to the wheels fall off, like
- 14:56Speaker 1: I will do whatever. I'm there for you. I don't
- 14:59Speaker 1: care what time of the day, and now you call me,
- 15:01Speaker 1: I'm there. So I don't like people that just act
- 15:05Speaker 1: shady or like messed up. You know. I don't like
- 15:09Speaker 1: bad people. Man, I'm such a good person and I
- 15:12Speaker 1: love good people like I love it so much. That
- 15:15Speaker 1: makes me so happy when I meet someone good, I'm
- 15:17Speaker 1: so happy. I'm like, yes, you know, So I don't
- 15:21Speaker 1: like the hating. There's so much hate in New York.
- 15:24Speaker 1: I don't get it. I don't get it, like, come on, girl,
- 15:27Speaker 1: you know, and it always be the people that you've
- 15:30Speaker 1: done road for, been down for it, on, helped out
- 15:33Speaker 1: all the time, that they don't.
- 15:34Speaker 2: They don't why people in New York be so mad?
- 15:37Speaker 1: Yo. I was in Vegas, right, I want to do
- 15:41Speaker 1: the song with Ghosts. I was in Vegas the whole
- 15:44Speaker 1: everywhere I went. And not that I don't get attention
- 15:47Speaker 1: in New York, but it's just usually male attention, which
- 15:50Speaker 1: is like all right, But in Vegas, every girl was
- 15:55Speaker 1: stopping me. They were like, oh my god, you're so beautiful,
- 15:58Speaker 1: like they were loving me, and I was like, damn,
- 16:01Speaker 1: I think I got to move to Vegas cause, y'all.
- 16:03Speaker 1: I love good energy.
- 16:05Speaker 2: I love Vega girls.
- 16:07Speaker 1: I love girls because I'm a big girly girl, Like
- 16:09Speaker 1: I'm I'm team, you know, like girl power a team.
- 16:14Speaker 1: I'm very big on that. So I don't understand why
- 16:18Speaker 1: they hate each other so much. And that's the ship
- 16:21Speaker 1: that I don't like. I don't like the hate for
- 16:23Speaker 1: non necessary hate, like if a person deserves it, you know,
- 16:26Speaker 1: maybe sometimes the people are assholes, And I get it.
- 16:29Speaker 1: But if someone's just a genuinely good person, why are
- 16:31Speaker 1: you so mad? Why are you so mad?
- 16:34Speaker 2: Why mad? I always wanted to like mad?
