- 2:31Speaker 2: peanu but I just had a piece of that. Bite
- 2:33Speaker 2: to that chocolate peanut butter pie. Oh my god, almighty dude,
- 2:37Speaker 2: butter mouse, Dude. Whenever I have peanut butter chocolate these days,
- 2:41Speaker 2: I just want to soak my feet in like hot
- 2:43Speaker 2: water and have a glass of wine. And that's a
- 2:45Speaker 2: hard meal. That's a hard meal to have, and then
- 2:48Speaker 2: go to work. That's a hard pre work meal. So
- 2:52Speaker 2: they did travel from sand Lake to here up in Maitland.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Thank you, Kristen. She brought the food today. Some she
- 2:57Speaker 2: had one of those thermal bags. She said, it just

- 3:16Speaker 4: food perfect, but that the service was fantastic.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Yeah, simply amazing. One of the best reputations out there.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Simply incredible. So thanks guys, we really do appreciate that.
- 3:26Speaker 2: And Taste is coming up here at the end of
- 3:27Speaker 2: the month, and that's just a sample of what you're

- 3:50Speaker 4: Florida's top chefs, restaurants and beverage experts and just be
- 3:54Speaker 4: glad and thank you. Your stomach will thank you. That
- 3:57Speaker 4: Ocean Prime is also part of this as well. Simply amazing,
- 4:01Speaker 4: and it raises money for one hundred percent of the
- 4:03Speaker 4: proceeds go to the Second Harvest Food Bank and the
- 4:06Speaker 4: Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Love it, man, Thanks you guys, We really really really
- 4:10Speaker 2: do appreciate that. Totally delicious.
- 4:12Speaker 5: That is a restaurant that is worth making a drive too.
- 4:14Speaker 5: Just like Jack, you know, you live Winter Springs, but
- 4:17Speaker 5: I remember the pictures that you showed of your anniversary,
- 4:20Speaker 5: and they really went above and beyond to kind of
- 4:22Speaker 5: treat you guys extra special.
- 4:24Speaker 2: So here's the deal.
- 4:25Speaker 4: I didn't even tell them it was my anniversary. I
- 4:28Speaker 4: just booked the reservation and then my daughter called and
- 4:32Speaker 4: let them know, and then they did all of that
- 4:34Speaker 4: and it was lovely.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Yeah. Thanks, awesome stuff. Ocean Prime.
- 4:38Speaker 4: Yeah, so Ocean Brime is the restaurant we ate their

- 5:00Speaker 2: of the stalwarts of the year. I mean, it's one
- 5:02Speaker 2: of the biggest ones. The setup is incredible, the room
- 5:04Speaker 2: is incredible, A lot of stuff, a lot of giveaways
- 5:07Speaker 2: and cool stuff happening during the event too, So it's
- 5:09Speaker 2: gonna be great live music taste CFL dot or thanks guys,
- 5:13Speaker 2: appreciate that very much. How when's last time you, guys
- 5:17Speaker 2: pumped gas? Last night? I get gas today, the last
- 5:20Speaker 2: week for you, last night, last night for you, and
- 5:23Speaker 2: last night for you. Dead and I are synced up.
- 5:27Speaker 2: That's perfect. Now where did you? Where did you get
- 5:30Speaker 2: your gas? This matters? I mean, this is my thing
- 5:32Speaker 2: today me BJ's Wholesale, DJ's Wholesale. You would be the
- 5:36Speaker 2: only one of our group that would go there, for sure.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Ross Do you happen to remember where you filled up yesterday?
- 5:41Speaker 2: I usually get gas from Mobile Mobile. You're a mobile guy.
- 5:45Speaker 2: I am a mobile guy because I like my three
- 5:47Speaker 2: pack on through Apple Panye and it goes a little
- 5:51Speaker 2: zip zip zip right to that savings account. Yeah, trying
- 5:55Speaker 2: to be a good guy. Yeah, sure, nothing wrong with that.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Deb I went to a little gas station in Mount Dora,
- 6:02Speaker 2: a little gas station of Mount or no affiliation with
- 6:04Speaker 2: like a. It's actually called little gas station in Mount Dora.
- 6:08Speaker 5: Sonny's it's what it's called, Sonny, Sonny, Yeah, barbecue gas.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Yeah exactly. I think they're a mobile station. Oh okay, good,
- 6:15Speaker 2: I need barbecue from a gas station. I got gas
- 6:17Speaker 2: today from seven to eleven three dollars and ninety eight
- 6:21Speaker 2: cents a gallon. And that's not the one I'm talking about.
- 6:23Speaker 2: That's the common that's what I've seeing nine And it
- 6:27Speaker 2: just so happens. The last two times I have filled
- 6:30Speaker 2: up have also been at seven elevens. It's just been
- 6:34Speaker 2: the place that's been close to me when I needed gas.
- 6:36Speaker 2: And I've noted something. There is no slower pump.
- 6:40Speaker 6: Oh lord, there is no slower gas pump on planet
- 6:45Speaker 6: ged Earth.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Then what is going on with seven eleven's gas pumps?
- 6:50Speaker 2: Would you like to take a gainder by the way,
- 6:52Speaker 2: I've got a witness for this. My wife we filled
- 6:55Speaker 2: her truck the other day. We are at a seven eleven.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Would you like to take a guess? And this is
- 6:59Speaker 2: not an exact gradation of how long it took me
- 7:01Speaker 2: to fill her car up. Ten minutes, uh fought seven.
- 7:05Speaker 2: I'm gonna go closer to fifteenth. Who wasn't quite there?
- 7:09Speaker 2: It was eight to ten minutes, eight to ten minutes.
- 7:13Speaker 2: That's usually like a three minute in transaction. What is
- 7:16Speaker 2: going on?
- 7:17Speaker 5: I don't know, but I do know that the seven
- 7:19Speaker 5: eleven that I stop at. You have to remember which
- 7:21Speaker 5: pumps are slow, because when the fast ones open up,
- 7:24Speaker 5: those are the first ones you have to go to.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Dude, Walba will blow your gas tank off? Is your car?
- 7:28Speaker 4: It comes out so fast? Is it always like that?
- 7:31Speaker 4: But was this a one off? Or is it always like.
- 7:33Speaker 2: The last two times? I just saw it, like, yeah,
- 7:36Speaker 2: seven eleven today, seven eleven, two days ago, and then
- 7:38Speaker 2: this past weekend seven eleven to fill my wife's car up.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Not ragging on seven eleven. You'll find products whatever. I
- 7:44Speaker 2: just don't understand whether pumps are so damn slow.
- 7:47Speaker 4: What I do know is like if the tanks get
- 7:49Speaker 4: really low, it slows down the pumps. Never heard that, Yeah,
- 7:53Speaker 4: I never heard that. I like two times they all
- 7:56Speaker 4: went to get gas and it was super slow. It
- 7:58Speaker 4: took about ten minutes. Again, mechanically, that doesn't even make
- 8:01Speaker 4: any sense. You don't understand it. Did you uh check
- 8:04Speaker 4: the pumps Prostate? By the way, that's a very good point.
- 8:08Speaker 2: It's little Sammy's mount door, not sunny.
- 8:10Speaker 5: It's little sam Out, barbecue and gas just all mixed up.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Did they have Sammy's there? Yeah? Oh man, I'm doing
- 8:18Speaker 2: like and I'm actually on the phone with somebody trying
- 8:20Speaker 2: to work something out. We had to make a we're
- 8:23Speaker 2: supposed to be on the phone while you're pumping. Get
- 8:25Speaker 2: out of here. With that, you're gonna be the first
- 8:27Speaker 2: dude that's gonna make the news.
- 8:28Speaker 5: And we're gonna be able to show that video of
- 8:30Speaker 5: your burning up at a gas station, just so you
- 8:32Speaker 5: could take that call.
- 8:33Speaker 2: You would see on fire, still trying to make a
- 8:36Speaker 2: did disappointment what I haven't made in two years?
- 8:38Speaker 4: It's like I finally got someone. I'm not hanging it out, no, Joe.
- 8:42Speaker 4: Do they still have no signage about don't use your
- 8:44Speaker 4: cell phone and they kind of abandon that.
- 8:47Speaker 2: Uh, I don't know, but I got a theory about
- 8:49Speaker 2: the sublement. You don't know? Okay, never mind, Really I
- 8:55Speaker 2: don't know. I'm gonna say that all right, but saying yes,
- 8:59Speaker 2: here's what here's my seven eleven theory. Ready, yeah, what
- 9:03Speaker 2: happens at seven eleven? Now? I think a lot of
- 9:05Speaker 2: gas stations have this.
- 9:06Speaker 6: Now.
- 9:06Speaker 2: I think a lot of the modern gas stations now
- 9:08Speaker 2: I have. This is my this will be my one
- 9:11Speaker 2: conspiracy theory for the month of August. You're ready, seven
- 9:15Speaker 2: elevens have TVs on the pump, right What are what
- 9:20Speaker 2: are those TVs doing showing you commercials? They're running ads.
- 9:24Speaker 2: They want to keep you there longer. First something in
- 9:27Speaker 2: the store. It almost worked on me today. I'm like,
- 9:29Speaker 2: I'm not drinking soda, but these guys are making a
- 9:31Speaker 2: very good pitch. I almost went in because it was
- 9:34Speaker 2: like a hot dog soda deal or something. And I'm
- 9:36Speaker 2: sitting there and I'm trying to make my disappointment that
- 9:37Speaker 2: one ear is listening to the deal and I'm like, well,
- 9:40Speaker 2: that deal sounds pretty good. I'n good. I'm thinking of you,
- 9:42Speaker 2: and I didn't even want any of that stuff, but
- 9:44Speaker 2: I was like, these guys are pumping ads in my
- 9:46Speaker 2: face and they've slowed the pumps down, say to stay
- 9:48Speaker 2: in front of that TV longer. Yep, so you figured
- 9:52Speaker 2: it out. You cracked the code. You're getting gasoline, but
- 9:54Speaker 2: what we really need is well powder. But that's exactly
- 9:59Speaker 2: what's happening. I'm tell you. They were running like ad
- 10:01Speaker 2: for Abbot and it's loud. I mean, here's the thing.
- 10:03Speaker 2: I had my stereo on. I was talking to Lady
- 10:06Speaker 2: the dentist's office, and I had to kind of shut
- 10:08Speaker 2: my door because I couldn't hear over the damn TV
- 10:11Speaker 2: screen that's on the gas pump. It's very blade Runner.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Whenever I see, like, you know, basically some flow from
- 10:18Speaker 2: Progressive Insurance looking spokesperson on my gas pump trying to
- 10:22Speaker 2: tell me about a deal about a hot dog. Yeah,
- 10:25Speaker 2: I just think this is getting pretty blade Runner. I
- 10:27Speaker 2: thought it was gonna look cooler, but they just ads
- 10:30Speaker 2: are everywhere that is very blade Runner and Buddy, and
- 10:33Speaker 2: I tell you, they don't give you an option to
- 10:35Speaker 2: you can't opt out of the ads at seven eleven
- 10:38Speaker 2: TV pumps, and those in the screens are like legit.
- 10:41Speaker 2: They're not like small tiny screens anymore. They're like eight
- 10:44Speaker 2: by eight screens.
- 10:46Speaker 7: Wow.
- 10:46Speaker 2: And you're just getting your ass kicked with ads the
- 10:48Speaker 2: entire time you're pumping your gas. It's just leaking into
- 10:51Speaker 2: your tank.
- 10:51Speaker 5: No, A lot of people are texting us at seven
- 10:53Speaker 5: seven zero three one saying that the heat effects gas
- 10:56Speaker 5: pump flow, So that gas you smell is gas that
- 10:59Speaker 5: you paid for it that's evaporating. So if they slow
- 11:02Speaker 5: the pump down, then you don't have as much evaporating fuel.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Really, that's what the smartest audience and talk radio hold
- 11:10Speaker 2: some water.
- 11:11Speaker 5: I didn't think they still warn you about the cell
- 11:13Speaker 5: phones at the gas pump.
- 11:14Speaker 2: And when was the last time you checked? I would
- 11:16Speaker 2: never check in a million year.
- 11:17Speaker 5: Okay, I'm the person who's still listens to the flight
- 11:19Speaker 5: attendants when they give you the emergency exit.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Always pay attention. We don't know what this gas pump's
- 11:24Speaker 2: drug history is like, we don't We don't know what
- 11:27Speaker 2: this thing is gone through. It probably had a molly phase. Yeah,
- 11:30Speaker 2: you know, broke broke some stuff down, taking a ripped
- 11:34Speaker 2: a couple of bulls. This morning, it's been a little
- 11:36Speaker 2: slower than normal, you know. I know there's a lot
- 11:39Speaker 2: of people out there that understand where the gas tank
- 11:42Speaker 2: gas pump is coming from. Sometimes you gotta, you know,
- 11:45Speaker 2: give out gas, and then you think you're done. Then
- 11:48Speaker 2: you think you're done, but then you and then you
- 11:51Speaker 2: actually know I got it. I got more gas to
- 11:53Speaker 2: give right. All of a sudden, this gas pump turned
- 11:56Speaker 2: into the worst fast food restaurant experience I've ever had. Yeah,
- 11:59Speaker 2: I thought that was a hundred percent of the gas,
- 12:00Speaker 2: but it's actually just eighty three. Man, I gonna tell
- 12:03Speaker 2: you it took forever and then this today, I'm like pumping,
- 12:07Speaker 2: It's taken forever and it just dawned on me. I'm like, oh,
- 12:09Speaker 2: these guys want me sending in front of this damn
- 12:10Speaker 2: TV over and over this long. That's exactly what it is.
- 12:14Speaker 2: The entire reel of ads went in front of me
- 12:17Speaker 2: while I stood there, So that's your conspiracy. It's going slow,
- 12:23Speaker 2: So I'm in front of the ads longer, giving it
- 12:25Speaker 2: a better chance to convince me to go into the
- 12:27Speaker 2: storm and buy something. And that's where they really make
- 12:30Speaker 2: their money, in the store will power right, that's that's
- 12:33Speaker 2: four seven, that's the prime. When six four one Texas
- 12:37Speaker 2: at seven seven zero three one, I've got some news.
- 12:40Speaker 5: Yeah, Central Florida marks a weather anniversary today. The FEDS
- 12:43Speaker 5: allocate millions for a bright line station in Bervard County.
- 12:47Speaker 5: Oh yeah, And gentlemen, are you ready for some football?
- 12:52Speaker 8: Oh?
- 12:52Speaker 2: Man, you have no idea.
- 12:53Speaker 5: We're gonna talk about that and more coming up next
- 12:55Speaker 5: during JCS news.
- 12:56Speaker 2: You got it a secon little break, We'll come back
- 12:57Speaker 2: and get depth news and continue on with the Jim
- 12:59Speaker 2: Colbert Show.
- 13:13Speaker 7: If you guys watch Jimmy on YouTube, it's hilarious that,
- 13:17Speaker 7: you know, when he's doing a live read, he starts
- 13:20Speaker 7: talking and there's a commercial.
- 13:22Speaker 2: He's off, hey, let me tell you, hey, mill Jers,
- 13:27Speaker 2: it's great. Yeah, double awesome, that's what it is. Double awesome.
- 13:35Speaker 2: All right, four seven nine four one. Text us at
- 13:38Speaker 2: seven seven? Is there a thirty one?
- 13:39Speaker 3: Yes?
- 13:40Speaker 2: I just want to tell that talkbacker that is one
- 13:42Speaker 2: of Jack and I's greatest radio delights for all of
- 13:45Speaker 2: these years. And you are now in a select club
- 13:48Speaker 2: of Jack and I probably dead of really enjoying those moments,
- 13:52Speaker 2: like when I start the commercial and then the producer
- 13:55Speaker 2: doesn't have the things right, but the commercial is like,
- 13:58Speaker 2: oh time for the small oh small font time. Oh yeah,
- 14:02Speaker 2: I got you there you go? All right, seven seven
- 14:05Speaker 2: zero three one. That's how you text us. I'm Jim,
- 14:07Speaker 2: Jack and Ross are right over there, and Deb has
- 14:09Speaker 2: your news.
- 14:12Speaker 1: It's time for JCS news. Wow, this guy got to
- 14:17Speaker 1: put his name on everything.
- 14:18Speaker 2: It's in my contract ed.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Here's the news on the Jim Colberg Show.
- 14:22Speaker 5: And JCS News is brought to you by that mortgage
- 14:25Speaker 5: guy Don Today I'm not gonna quizz you guys, because
- 14:28Speaker 5: it turns out all sixty seven Florida counties are under
- 14:32Speaker 5: heat advisories today as sweltering conditions continue across the Sunshine state.
- 14:37Speaker 5: Forecasters say heat index values or feels like temperatures, could
- 14:41Speaker 5: reach as high as one hundred and twelve degrees this afternoon.
- 14:44Speaker 5: Right now, it's ninety six what it feels like of
- 14:46Speaker 5: one hundred and eight. The National Weather Services also warning
- 14:50Speaker 5: of even more dangerous conditions on Friday. An extreme heat
- 14:55Speaker 5: watch has been posted for parts of the Florida Panhandle
- 14:58Speaker 5: and Big Bend, where the heat index could climb to
- 15:01Speaker 5: one hundred and sixteen.
- 15:02Speaker 2: I saw, I saw one seventeen just outside of Tallahassee
- 15:06Speaker 2: today and it's a heat dome. I love the fact
- 15:08Speaker 2: that the weather people keep coming up with really cool terms.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Just scare the complete piss out of us for all
- 15:14Speaker 2: this weather. But if you look at this big blob
- 15:15Speaker 2: that's over like North Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Misissippian, that area there,
- 15:19Speaker 2: it is horrifying because there's timperatures up there they never
- 15:22Speaker 2: even heard of.
- 15:23Speaker 5: Again, one hundred and sixteen, that's double. I mean, it's
- 15:25Speaker 5: eight degrees more than we're at right now.
- 15:27Speaker 2: I ran today, and I always know when it's a
- 15:29Speaker 2: special type of heat when I look at my arms
- 15:32Speaker 2: after the run and I can see like the salt,
- 15:35Speaker 2: oh yeah, my sweat, and like I don't know how
- 15:38Speaker 2: I'm leaking crystals somehow safe it is the run right now,
- 15:41Speaker 2: I don't think it is.
- 15:42Speaker 9: Well, you can't stop me. I love the suffer. No,
- 15:45Speaker 9: I just tell myself that's why don't run.
- 15:47Speaker 5: Tropical Storm Crystal Ball is falling apart over the Northern
- 15:50Speaker 5: Atlantic today, while a separate Caribbean bound wave holds a
- 15:54Speaker 5: high eighty percent chance of development. While we face no
- 15:57Speaker 5: immediate threats, The National Hurricane Center's John Canje Jelosi reminds
- 16:01Speaker 5: us it's coming up on the what anniversary of Hurricane Andrew?
- 16:04Speaker 2: You guys, Andrew Andrew?
- 16:06Speaker 4: Thirty forty now, no, no, no, no, thirty ninety three.
- 16:12Speaker 4: I was at Lallapalooza thirty five. I was driving home
- 16:15Speaker 4: from Lollapalooza the night of this hurricane thirty four.
- 16:18Speaker 5: Years bingo, Yeah, thirty fourth anniversary of Hurricane Andrew.
- 16:23Speaker 9: Just to try some numbers at you, our performance for
- 16:26Speaker 9: predicting where systems are going to go today. As compared
- 16:29Speaker 9: to during the time of Andrew, our errors are.
- 16:31Speaker 2: About seventy percent smaller. So it's draffic yeah, much like
- 16:34Speaker 2: today's waves.
- 16:35Speaker 5: Andrew began as a weak African disturbance before hitting superheated
- 16:39Speaker 5: waters and exploding into a Category five monster. In fact,
- 16:43Speaker 5: they say if they had a category higher than five,
- 16:46Speaker 5: Andrew would be the first hurricane to qualify for that,
- 16:48Speaker 5: then would be Katrina. There's a second wave carrying about
- 16:51Speaker 5: a fifty percent chance of organizing, and the peak of
- 16:54Speaker 5: the season isn't until September tenth. Meanwhile, while Florida has
- 16:59Speaker 5: seen many memorable storms over the last few decades, today
- 17:02Speaker 5: August thirteenth marks the twenty second anti reversary you guys
- 17:07Speaker 5: of Hurricane Charlie.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:09Speaker 5: The storm, which spanned from August ninth through August fifteenth
- 17:12Speaker 5: of twenty of two thousand and four, will go down
- 17:15Speaker 5: in history, at least here in Central Florida, as one
- 17:17Speaker 5: of the most destructive hurricanes to ever pass through. The
- 17:21Speaker 5: center passed near Kassimi and Orlando just after dusk on
- 17:24Speaker 5: August thirteenth. Peak winds in the Central Florida area topped
- 17:28Speaker 5: one hundred five miles per hour, and of course we
- 17:30Speaker 5: remember because it had been so long since the storm
- 17:33Speaker 5: of that strength had come through. There were trees that
- 17:36Speaker 5: had never been tested by weather before. So that was
- 17:39Speaker 5: I mean, I remember living in Delaney Park. My best
- 17:42Speaker 5: friend lived three blocks away. It took me forty five
- 17:44Speaker 5: minutes to get to her house because of the amount
- 17:46Speaker 5: of down trees.
- 17:46Speaker 2: You just you couldn't drive mountains, mountains of the trees.
- 17:50Speaker 4: Yeah, mountains for the next weeks. Yeah, drive their Maitland
- 17:54Speaker 4: was brutal. I mean, it was like it looked fake.
- 17:56Speaker 4: It was like a movie set. Yeah, just like a
- 17:58Speaker 4: post tornado movie set. And oddly enough, although there was
- 18:01Speaker 4: a lot of destruction and it was a complete pain
- 18:03Speaker 4: in the ass no power for seven to ten days.
- 18:06Speaker 4: That's when I met God Black because my tree fell
- 18:09Speaker 4: over and he had a chainsaw and he came over
- 18:11Speaker 4: and helped cut the tree up, and that's all I
- 18:13Speaker 4: met it. Oh, our relationship is exactly twenty two years old.
- 18:18Speaker 3: In the air.
- 18:19Speaker 5: I love your origin story. I know that's right back
- 18:23Speaker 5: in the house. Well, you guys need to go prime
- 18:25Speaker 5: for your anniversary dinner.
- 18:27Speaker 4: He'll be at the poker tournament and then you can
- 18:29Speaker 4: take a picture with Jimmy and Code Block together.
- 18:32Speaker 5: And of course, if you don't remember, Charlie was part
- 18:35Speaker 5: of the infamous two thousand and four hurricane season, which
- 18:37Speaker 5: also saw hurricanes Francis Francis, Jean Francis, and Ivan and.
- 18:43Speaker 2: The Palatquin Notebook that is Jim's Friend.
- 18:47Speaker 5: Ah all right, a city in Bervard County is celebrating
- 18:52Speaker 5: what it's mayor calls a transformational moment. Coco Mayor Michael
- 18:56Speaker 5: Blake was reacting yesterday to news that the federal government
- 19:00Speaker 5: meant to proved a fifty six million dollars grant for
- 19:03Speaker 5: a bright Line train station. The station, near clear Lake
- 19:06Speaker 5: Road and US one is expected to open in twenty thirty.
- 19:10Speaker 5: Blake says the station will serve as a catalyst for
- 19:12Speaker 5: economic growth and it's a milestone that will benefit generations
- 19:16Speaker 5: to come. I would imagine this could make it a
- 19:17Speaker 5: lot easier to maybe take in a launch, go to
- 19:20Speaker 5: the beach.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Is that what it's doing? Is it basically going right
- 19:23Speaker 2: down five twenty nine? Is that what it's doing?
- 19:24Speaker 4: Yeah, five twenty eight, Yeah, Yeah, basically I don't know.
- 19:29Speaker 4: At US one and clear Lake, I have to look
- 19:31Speaker 4: on the map to see exactly where that is. But
- 19:33Speaker 4: if you're taking a cruise, it's another Oh yeah, then
- 19:36Speaker 4: you don't have to worry about parking.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Yeah, that's exactly what I just thought. I was like, Man,
- 19:39Speaker 2: if it drops off by the cruise terminals, that was
- 19:41Speaker 2: that is a coup.
- 19:43Speaker 4: I was shocked when they first announced bright Line that
- 19:46Speaker 4: they didn't have a Bravard stop already going down because
- 19:50Speaker 4: it changes directions there.
- 19:51Speaker 2: I just thought it was a no brainer.
- 19:53Speaker 4: But I guess you know, it's it's all about the
- 19:55Speaker 4: It's always about the money, right yea.
- 19:57Speaker 5: And again, you know, we've been talking about the fact
- 19:59Speaker 5: that even and as popular as Brightline is, it's carrying
- 20:02Speaker 5: a lot of debt. Yes, so that's some of the
- 20:05Speaker 5: issues going forward. Building other Brightline stations is like, well,
- 20:08Speaker 5: hold up now, hold up now.
- 20:10Speaker 2: I'm just impressed that you guys know that many roads.
- 20:14Speaker 2: That is awesome.
- 20:15Speaker 5: In the meantime, speaking of hold up now, a city
- 20:18Speaker 5: in Orange County is pausing all hiring. A Popka Mayor
- 20:24Speaker 5: Nick Nessa announced yesterday what happened. A temporary hiring freeze
- 20:29Speaker 5: will be in place through October first. He says it's
- 20:32Speaker 5: part of a broader review of how a city government
- 20:35Speaker 5: is structured. Nessa adds he wants to see how the
- 20:38Speaker 5: city can best position its employees and departments to serve
- 20:42Speaker 5: the growing community as efficiently as possible. He says, one exception, though,
- 20:47Speaker 5: will be made so the city can hire a community
- 20:49Speaker 5: development director. Nessa says this is an important leadership position
- 20:55Speaker 5: for the city's future.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Yeah, transparency's a bitch. When you ask for more property
- 20:59Speaker 2: taxes than the you have to print the salaries of
- 21:01Speaker 2: people that are hiring, and then of course just you know,
- 21:03Speaker 2: it's a popka like it's everyday people like blue collar
- 21:05Speaker 2: workers out there and they look at the salaries. They're
- 21:08Speaker 2: already mad that some people in the city make too much.
- 21:10Speaker 2: We heard that with some of the interviews we did,
- 21:12Speaker 2: we've done with other mayors and stuff, how they have
- 21:14Speaker 2: to completely and continuously justify the money they make and
- 21:17Speaker 2: it's still not even really competitive in the private sector.
- 21:20Speaker 2: So I think this is wild how all that works.
- 21:22Speaker 5: I think the Trooper Steve thing is really what we're
- 21:24Speaker 5: lit off of this because again when you see he
- 21:26Speaker 5: as a PIO, even though he did the director making
- 21:29Speaker 5: more than what other cities that might be twenty times
- 21:33Speaker 5: the size of a Popka, including Kassimi, Orlando, Orange County.
- 21:37Speaker 2: It's hard to justify that it is. And I saw
- 21:39Speaker 2: another one today where there was another position they were
- 21:41Speaker 2: hiring for with that property tax increase, and it was
- 21:43Speaker 2: even more than Steve was gonna get.
- 21:45Speaker 5: Yees, yeah, yeah, all right, hey, yeah, Steve's okay though, right,
- 21:50Speaker 5: I believe.
- 21:51Speaker 2: So there hasn't been any announcement. I mean, he's gonna
- 21:54Speaker 2: get the money. Nobody's gonna talk to him real quickly.
- 21:57Speaker 2: Back to the training story.
- 22:00Speaker 4: So the Brevard station four bright Line will be about
- 22:04Speaker 4: ten miles from Port Canaveral, but oh yeah, well they
- 22:08Speaker 4: put it where they put it right, But it'll use
- 22:11Speaker 4: local shuttles and taxis, yeah yeah to run people to
- 22:14Speaker 4: the port.
- 22:15Speaker 2: Oh yeah, great shuttle service to be perfect right there
- 22:16Speaker 2: and just drop off, hop on a bus, Off you go.
- 22:19Speaker 2: Then you don't have to worry about paying for parking.
- 22:20Speaker 2: They drop you right there at their cruise terminal. They
- 22:22Speaker 2: give expedited service to buses already. Here's another one.
- 22:25Speaker 4: If you are driving, if you are flying out of Oia,
- 22:28Speaker 4: yeah you can, and you're in Bravard. You don't have
- 22:31Speaker 4: to drive it all way here. You can just drive
- 22:33Speaker 4: to the trade station and take the trade.
- 22:35Speaker 5: It'd be so convenient on so many different so many
- 22:37Speaker 5: different angles. All right, search is underway to find three
- 22:40Speaker 5: people described as tomb raiders.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Sick.
- 22:43Speaker 5: Yeah, that's what the Orange County Sheriff's Office said yesterday
- 22:46Speaker 5: about three people.
- 22:48Speaker 2: It's true. Do you listen to the story. I'm down,
- 22:50Speaker 2: and it's not like you just did it once. These
- 22:52Speaker 2: guys are traveling tomb raiders. Tell me about what lower
- 22:55Speaker 2: Croft did? All right?
- 22:56Speaker 5: Well, the Orange County Sheriff's Office says three people from
- 22:59Speaker 5: Indiana have allegedly been stealing family heirlooms from cemeteries. Deputy
- 23:04Speaker 5: say a man, his girlfriend, and her mother are traveling
- 23:07Speaker 5: the country, breaking into niches that hold cremated remains and
- 23:11Speaker 5: then stealing the valuables people later rest with their loved ones.
- 23:14Speaker 5: Think about a woman who loses her husband, she leaves
- 23:18Speaker 5: her wedding ring with his and so. The Orange County
- 23:22Speaker 5: Sheriff's Office says that three are responsible for twenty known
- 23:25Speaker 5: cases in Florida, but there could be more. So they're saying,
- 23:28Speaker 5: if you have not visited your loved one's grave, specifically,
- 23:31Speaker 5: if you know they're in a crematorium or a mausoleum, right,
- 23:35Speaker 5: and you haven't visited for a while. They're asking you
- 23:37Speaker 5: to go back and check, especially if you know you've
- 23:40Speaker 5: left family heirlooms, jewelry, anything of any value, because they
- 23:45Speaker 5: say to go and check, and if you find your
- 23:47Speaker 5: loved one's resting place disturbed, to call the sheriff's office
- 23:50Speaker 5: wherever that cemetery may be.
- 23:52Speaker 4: This is a trick to get you to visit your
- 23:55Speaker 4: That's so fun. I suspect the lobby like big death
- 23:59Speaker 4: is fuss.
- 24:00Speaker 5: Yeah, big death. That's a very powerful lobby, by the way,
- 24:03Speaker 5: against big death.
- 24:04Speaker 2: We've said it for your last lobby, a family the
- 24:06Speaker 2: grave robs together. Also, just to clarify my position, definitely
- 24:11Speaker 2: not sick. I thought it was like spooky, you know,
- 24:15Speaker 2: not cemetery. These people are busting in people's uh, you know,
- 24:18Speaker 2: mausoleums to get to their value. I mean, what kind
- 24:22Speaker 2: of pos is that Lord Croft would not do that?
- 24:25Speaker 4: Well, shouldn't it be appreciated? Instead of six feet under dirt,
- 24:31Speaker 4: I can pay off bills. It sounds like he's been
- 24:33Speaker 4: in cahoots with these guys.
- 24:34Speaker 2: I'm just saying it just real quick, I just want
- 24:36Speaker 2: to just point something super sill. You just heard that said,
- 24:39Speaker 2: I'm the bad guy on the ship. I'm the bad,
- 24:42Speaker 2: greedy guy on the show. And Jack just said, it's
- 24:44Speaker 2: perfectly fine that you kick somebody's casket in and steal
- 24:47Speaker 2: their wedding ring if you.
- 24:48Speaker 4: Have a loan shark demanding money from you and you
- 24:52Speaker 4: have a shovel. I'm just saying, Okay, there are there
- 24:55Speaker 4: is a way out. There is a way out. Yeah,
- 24:58Speaker 4: then he gets the ring.
- 25:00Speaker 5: A Brevard County man whose murder conviction was once overturned.
- 25:03Speaker 5: This man's story just every time I read it, will
- 25:07Speaker 5: likely remain behind bars for decades to come. The Florida
- 25:10Speaker 5: Commission on Defender Review announced yesterday that it's denying Crosley
- 25:14Speaker 5: Green's request for immediate parole. He won't be eligible for
- 25:18Speaker 5: parole now until twenty forty nine, when he'll be a
- 25:21Speaker 5: tender ninety one nice, but the Commission may review his
- 25:24Speaker 5: case in three years. You may remember Green was convicted
- 25:27Speaker 5: of murder in nineteen eighty nine and was sentenced to death,
- 25:30Speaker 5: but then was relater sentenced to life in prison five
- 25:34Speaker 5: years ago. Green was released from prison after his conviction
- 25:37Speaker 5: was overturned, but then three years ago his conviction was
- 25:42Speaker 5: reinstated and he was ordered back to prison to continue
- 25:46Speaker 5: serving his life sentence.
- 25:48Speaker 2: That's so fat, you got a yoyo sentence. That's crazy.
- 25:51Speaker 5: Isn't that crazy to be jerked around like that? Three
- 25:53Speaker 5: years of freedom? I mean, just your decision, exactly, make
- 25:55Speaker 5: a decision. This next story is Georgia residents are facing
- 26:01Speaker 5: charges following a Jacksonville investigation into the alleged neglect of
- 26:05Speaker 5: four children.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Keep that in mind, two adults, four children, and then
- 26:09Speaker 2: also keep in mind Jacksonville, Georgia.
- 26:11Speaker 5: Yeah, so two adults, four children, and investigators say the
- 26:17Speaker 5: children had been living in the cab of a semi
- 26:19Speaker 5: truck for how long?
- 26:21Speaker 2: Ooh?
- 26:23Speaker 5: Four children and two adults and two adults living in
- 26:27Speaker 5: the in the cab of a semi truck for two years?
- 26:30Speaker 2: All right?
- 26:30Speaker 3: Two years?
- 26:31Speaker 2: Now, I'm giving three months. Okay, three months, jack, I'll
- 26:34Speaker 2: go three and a half years.
- 26:35Speaker 5: How about seven years? Seven years? Since twenty nineteen, these
- 26:41Speaker 5: four children have been stuck in the cab of a
- 26:44Speaker 5: semi truck where they were denied, according to investigators, proper schooling,
- 26:49Speaker 5: medical care, and other basic needs and When you look
- 26:53Speaker 5: at the mugshots of Keisha Epps, has been charged with
- 26:56Speaker 5: four counts of child neglect, while tam Or Stewart faces
- 26:59Speaker 5: child abuse and sexual battery charges. They both look like
- 27:02Speaker 5: they've been run over by that semi truck.
- 27:05Speaker 2: You dead, My god, Will you look at this mugshot?
- 27:13Speaker 5: Jack is looking it up as we speak, so if
- 27:15Speaker 5: you're watching us on our YouTube channel, you'll be able
- 27:19Speaker 5: to see the mugshot in just a moment.
- 27:21Speaker 2: Here Jack is bringing it up again.
- 27:23Speaker 1: This.
- 27:24Speaker 2: Can I ask an honest question? Can I ask an
- 27:26Speaker 2: honest question? What is that on the left? Is that
- 27:31Speaker 2: a person? I believe it is. I believe that maybe
- 27:36Speaker 2: they can build a Halloween Hard Night's house around that
- 27:39Speaker 2: human being. Yep again, it's that bad. Huh, it's bad, dude, Yep,
- 27:44Speaker 2: there you go.
- 27:44Speaker 3: Ross.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Can you see her? Oh my god? That is wow.
- 27:54Speaker 2: I don't know what's worse. How she looks or how
- 27:57Speaker 2: calm he looks, how she looks like that guy should
- 28:03Speaker 2: be horrified and cutting his eyes toward that box as
- 28:05Speaker 2: it was, as if it was the worst episode of
- 28:07Speaker 2: the Bradys. Prison will be better living conditions for them?
- 28:11Speaker 10: I know?
- 28:11Speaker 5: Seriously, four kids shoe adults for seven years. Both suspects
- 28:16Speaker 5: are being held in the Duval County Jail. There you go,
- 28:20Speaker 5: that's all yours, dude.
- 28:23Speaker 2: That's the most genderless monster I've ever seen. You can't tell,
- 28:29Speaker 2: all right, that's crusty the cloud.
- 28:35Speaker 11: She got the crusty the clown here.
- 28:38Speaker 2: Her teeth are so bad. I can't figure out which
- 28:40Speaker 2: ones are on the top or the bottom. I know,
- 28:43Speaker 2: you can't figure out where they're coming from. The teeth
- 28:45Speaker 2: is so listen. I don't want to just kick someone
- 28:48Speaker 2: on their works, but this is yeah, yeah, this is
- 28:51Speaker 2: the opportunity.
- 28:51Speaker 7: This is.
- 28:53Speaker 2: Something else. Man. The tooth wood tooth up up top
- 29:00Speaker 2: by the way, for the listeners, one tooth top top,
- 29:04Speaker 2: still smiling. But the smile is that a smile? Yeah?
- 29:08Speaker 9: But is that am it's a smile frown. I'm not
- 29:11Speaker 9: sure she can close her mouth.
- 29:12Speaker 3: That.
- 29:13Speaker 2: I bet that chicken eat corn through a picket fence.
- 29:17Speaker 2: I mean one row at a time. Oh my god, almighty.
- 29:23Speaker 2: All right, you're exaggerating with the horror night. I'm like, no,
- 29:29Speaker 2: I didn't. Yep. That is, if you got bit by that,
- 29:36Speaker 2: it would be difficult to explain what bit you. Nobody
- 29:40Speaker 2: would believe it's a person, all right? And then finally,
- 29:45Speaker 2: are you ready for some football?
- 29:47Speaker 5: The NFL's preseason kicks and nigh a night.
- 29:53Speaker 2: With six games on the schedule.
- 29:54Speaker 5: Gentleman Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals will host the
- 29:57Speaker 5: Detroit Lions, while Jordan Love gets to start under center
- 30:01Speaker 5: for the Green Bay Packers against the Steelers in Pittsburgh.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Oh no, husband and wife going head to head tonight,
- 30:07Speaker 2: so to speak.
- 30:08Speaker 5: The New England Patriots kick off their exhibition slate at
- 30:11Speaker 5: home against the Indianapolis Colts. The Houston Texans entertained the
- 30:14Speaker 5: Los Angeles Chargers. First or all overall draft pick Fernando
- 30:18Speaker 5: Mendoza makes his Raiders' debut.
- 30:21Speaker 2: Jazz, let's go.
- 30:22Speaker 5: Let's go against Jeremiah Love and the Arizona Cardinals in
- 30:25Speaker 5: Las Vegas.
- 30:26Speaker 12: There's a rato.
- 30:27Speaker 2: Uh yeah, there we go.
- 30:28Speaker 5: And then now are the new look Tennessee Titans. We'll
- 30:31Speaker 5: visit the San Francisco forty nine Ers. Three more games
- 30:35Speaker 5: are on tap Tomorrow night, with the rest of the
- 30:37Speaker 5: NFL taking the field on Saturday.
- 30:40Speaker 2: Is there a better way than celebrating Mendoza's debut than
- 30:45Speaker 2: hearing Jack Bradshaw, go, let's go two a canoe. To me,
- 30:53Speaker 2: that cheer you just gave is the cheer version of
- 30:57Speaker 2: her smile. I thought you meant my smile. Somebody just
- 31:02Speaker 2: texted and said that that dude had four kids with
- 31:04Speaker 2: that Yeah, four children, yep, ah, Yeah, that's I'm going
- 31:11Speaker 2: back to that photo. Yeah, that's the first thing I'll
- 31:12Speaker 2: see tonight when I close my eyes and the first
- 31:16Speaker 2: thing that I see when I wake up. It's like
- 31:18Speaker 2: God jerrymandered her jaw. I will take it. Just put
- 31:24Speaker 2: teeth in all districts. I will never forget this day.
- 31:28Speaker 2: This day will live on in infamy for me. Infamy
- 31:32Speaker 2: for me. I'm just so happy I could bring you
- 31:35Speaker 2: guys that story.
- 31:35Speaker 5: As soon as I saw the story, and then I
- 31:37Speaker 5: went and looked at the mugshots, I'm like, oh, yeah,
- 31:40Speaker 5: we're talking about this.
- 31:41Speaker 2: Can I ask another honest question? And this isn't even
- 31:44Speaker 2: meant to be funny. I'm just simply asking a question.
- 31:46Speaker 2: Are those bruises or tattoos? I was wondering. I thought
- 31:50Speaker 2: they looked a little bit like bruises.
- 31:52Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:52Speaker 5: Yeah, And he looks like he's questioning all of his life, Jess.
- 31:56Speaker 2: He looks ike mad. I'm gonna call it because things
- 32:00Speaker 2: have happened in the past just as crazy. This photo
- 32:04Speaker 2: has a chance of going uber viral. Oh oh yeah,
- 32:07Speaker 2: when did this news break? This was yesterday? Today? Today?
- 32:11Speaker 13: Right?
- 32:11Speaker 2: Yeah? If that photo gets a hold of the internet,
- 32:15Speaker 2: and the Internet gets a hold of that mugshot, I
- 32:19Speaker 2: believe she will have a career in Hollywood. Well, then
- 32:24Speaker 2: be your agent, Rosson, be the one that puts it out.
- 32:26Speaker 2: I'm not doing that. She's no fool, she ain't bit
- 32:31Speaker 2: And that concludes your JCS news. She only got that
- 32:36Speaker 2: one too. Can I tell you I'm gonna be a detta.
- 32:45Speaker 2: I would I would rather just do the rest of
- 32:47Speaker 2: the show ragging on her. I really don't want to
- 32:50Speaker 2: do anything else. I just want to rag on that
- 32:51Speaker 2: picture right there the remainder of the program. I mean
- 32:54Speaker 2: to me, I would think the ones that one tooth
- 32:57Speaker 2: it's so big, like it's gotta get in the way
- 32:59Speaker 2: at this point. Yeah, imagine being the husband and being like,
- 33:04Speaker 2: I mean, we can just get rid of that, right,
- 33:07Speaker 2: Come here and give me a kiss, gott I bet
- 33:09Speaker 2: she's awesome. A scratch off though, uh that one? Dudes,
- 33:13Speaker 2: just rake it right, down the line. It's the one
- 33:16Speaker 2: vampire bite that only makes you half a vampire. It's
- 33:22Speaker 2: not sorry, I already said that having too much money
- 33:29Speaker 2: right back in a second, what of guys support from Unfortunately?
- 33:39Speaker 2: What the hell that mugshot? She looks like she looks
- 33:45Speaker 2: like the version of the ant from weapon somebody that
- 33:54Speaker 2: four times? Oh my, oh god?
- 33:57Speaker 14: Okay, all right, have a good day.
- 34:02Speaker 7: Sorry, Hey, guys and gals, you gotta get you the
- 34:05Speaker 7: circle K card on Thursdays. I think it's the third
- 34:09Speaker 7: Thursday of the month.
- 34:10Speaker 2: Forty since off I got gas for three fifty three today.
- 34:16Speaker 2: Have a great day, lady, buddy, appreciate that very much.
- 34:19Speaker 2: Contain yourself.
- 34:20Speaker 15: Next time, Rust blew up your spot earlier about being
- 34:22Speaker 15: a basketball hustler back in the day, elaborate.
- 34:29Speaker 2: That's kind of funny. Good with how did that come up?
- 34:32Speaker 4: Let's see, they were talking about basketball, Angel playing, and
- 34:38Speaker 4: I forget how they got on the hustling topic.
- 34:40Speaker 2: Oh.
- 34:40Speaker 4: Angel was recording how as a young man he got
- 34:43Speaker 4: thrown out of every place to play basketball around here
- 34:46Speaker 4: because he was a hot head. And it came up
- 34:48Speaker 4: and Russ talked about he goes, you're not going to
- 34:52Speaker 4: believe who was a hustler or who would play and
- 34:55Speaker 4: surprise people.
- 34:56Speaker 2: But he was like it was Jimmy.
- 34:57Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Uh so back in the day it was I wasn't
- 35:02Speaker 2: this is a real Uncle Rico segment and his own.
- 35:07Speaker 4: Prove and they like just playing horse and He's like, no,
- 35:11Speaker 4: playing full on one on one.
- 35:12Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 35:13Speaker 2: Yeah, Well, I don't know, you know, we believe it
- 35:15Speaker 2: or not. Welcome back to the show. I'm Jim deb
- 35:16Speaker 2: Jack and Ross here as well. You know, when Russ
- 35:19Speaker 2: and I first started the show, or actually Rust started
- 35:21Speaker 2: the show with Boa before me, but when I kind
- 35:22Speaker 2: of came on board and I was still Russ's brother
- 35:24Speaker 2: in law, so we we still spent a lot of
- 35:26Speaker 2: time together when we were younger, hanging out and he
- 35:28Speaker 2: had a basketball hoop outside his house and we would
- 35:30Speaker 2: go there and just shoot baskets and basketball wasn't kind
- 35:33Speaker 2: of his thing. He could still shoot. I mean, he was,
- 35:35Speaker 2: you know, a really really good wrestler. I mean, like
- 35:37Speaker 2: you know, really good wrestler. But my thing, I was
- 35:41Speaker 2: blessed with pretty good handy coordination, right, So that's my thing.
- 35:44Speaker 2: I was blessed with good hand nye coordination. So I
- 35:46Speaker 2: was a pretty good shot. That's the only thing is
- 35:48Speaker 2: I could shoot it like. We played a little defense
- 35:51Speaker 2: and stuff, but it was just mostly shooting. I was
- 35:54Speaker 2: a pretty good shot. Anybody else need to see this
- 35:57Speaker 2: guy blow the dust off of the old shoes, see
- 36:01Speaker 2: him hit the hard wood again. There'll be no crossing over. No, no, no,
- 36:04Speaker 2: that'll be breaking of the knees about trying to cross
- 36:06Speaker 2: somebody over. But I used to love play. You used
- 36:09Speaker 2: to play quite a bit. My buddy and I jb
- 36:11Speaker 2: used to go to the When you're broke in the
- 36:13Speaker 2: summer in Polatka, you have nothing to do, we would
- 36:15Speaker 2: go to the high school and just play basketball all day,
- 36:17Speaker 2: you know. So that's what it was. I played a
- 36:18Speaker 2: lot of basketball in high school, and all I did
- 36:22Speaker 2: was run the point around the point. I was pretty
- 36:24Speaker 2: good at passing. Yeah, I would drive to my right
- 36:27Speaker 2: and I had a layup. I would not shoot because
- 36:30Speaker 2: my arms would do something really dumb and stupid out
- 36:33Speaker 2: of my control. I was a catch and shoot. Guys.
- 36:35Speaker 2: If you threw me in the pass and I thought
- 36:36Speaker 2: I was open, uh, even if you're on me a
- 36:38Speaker 2: little bit, I could get up and uh and and
- 36:39Speaker 2: put a good arc on it and get it in there.
- 36:41Speaker 2: Sometimes Jack talk to me, dude, you played some you
- 36:45Speaker 2: balled out right? Yeah? I got trophies. You got trophies.
- 36:48Speaker 2: I got trophies. What kind of trophies? What sport? Uh?
- 36:51Speaker 2: You name it? Football? Basketball? Awesome? Baseball, that's awesome. Did
- 36:56Speaker 2: not know that?
- 36:56Speaker 4: Yeah, I thought that was my generation thing? Wow, where
- 37:00Speaker 4: everyone gets a trophy? Yeah, it isto your generation thing.
- 37:03Speaker 4: I had to earn it. Yeh, all right, uh four
- 37:06Speaker 4: oh seven nine four one. Again you can always text
- 37:08Speaker 4: us at seven seven zero three one. Well, only have
- 37:10Speaker 4: a couple of seconds in this in this second before
- 37:12Speaker 4: we get to the top.
- 37:13Speaker 2: Of the hour. Chloeg coming up in a minute, Colbert
- 37:15Speaker 2: Court coming up in a minute. Today was the day
- 37:17Speaker 2: in nineteen ninety seven that this groundbreaking television show debuted, groundbreaking,
- 37:23Speaker 2: still in the air, still groundbreaking. Er Cusi Nice Cube
- 37:30Speaker 2: ninety seven started for Sopranos.
- 37:33Speaker 4: Started as a film short as part of something Else, Simpson.
- 37:37Speaker 4: No since now it's well, The Simpsons was earlier than
- 37:40Speaker 4: that family guy.
- 37:42Speaker 2: You're warm though Simpsons is warm, I think a little bit.
- 37:46Speaker 2: So it's a cartoon Rick and Morty. That's another good guess.
- 37:49Speaker 2: And then then then no family.
- 37:51Speaker 4: Yeah, what's the other one though, American Dad, not Futurama.
- 37:55Speaker 2: South Park debuted on this day in nineteen ninety seven,
- 38:00Speaker 2: and I have to tell you there was a time
- 38:05Speaker 2: when I did not miss an episode of south Park.
- 38:08Speaker 2: I thought it was the ballsiest television I'd ever seen
- 38:11Speaker 2: in my life. I'd never seen anything like that. I've
- 38:14Speaker 2: never seen anybody take chances like that. It was so
- 38:16Speaker 2: much fun to watch. Well, boy, then, have you missed
- 38:19Speaker 2: out on just the last couple of years of south Park?
- 38:23Speaker 7: Oh?
- 38:23Speaker 2: Yeah, because that is still You just described what south
- 38:26Speaker 2: Park still is. That's insane that you're not referring to
- 38:30Speaker 2: the last three years of south Park? Are you talking
- 38:32Speaker 2: about the Pphet Mohammed stuff? I'm talking about every same
- 38:36Speaker 2: episode and the last like five years I feel like
- 38:40Speaker 2: just has been painfully funny, extremely like painfully relevant. Yeah,
- 38:46Speaker 2: there were some comedic choices that I know that won't
- 38:50Speaker 2: leave me anytime soon. I gotta start watching it again, man,
- 38:53Speaker 2: because I really enjoyed it. I just watched it with
- 38:54Speaker 2: a bunch of guys back in the day when we
- 38:56Speaker 2: were like way younger, so it was again. I think
- 38:58Speaker 2: the shock value of it was still good, but we
- 39:01Speaker 2: knew the writing was very funny. PC Principal and that's
- 39:05Speaker 2: what I mean by like in the last like five years.
- 39:08Speaker 2: I'm sure that PC Principle might even be older than that.
- 39:10Speaker 2: But they have a He's my favorite. He's my favorite
- 39:14Speaker 2: new character coming out of South Park. He's hilarious. Yeah.
- 39:17Speaker 2: They had to actually edit a couple episodes because they
- 39:20Speaker 2: were getting threats because they were, you know, taking shots
- 39:22Speaker 2: at Mohammad, the prophet Mohammad and some other stuff. It's just, uh,
- 39:26Speaker 2: it was just a crazy. The entire thing is just
- 39:28Speaker 2: nuts how it came about.
- 39:30Speaker 5: My favorite has been the political satire. Oh yeah, the
- 39:33Speaker 5: last last couple of you know, the Pete Haig said, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 39:36Speaker 5: with the selfie stick.
- 39:37Speaker 2: Oh yeah. Did you guys ever see Team America? Yeah?
- 39:41Speaker 2: Have you seen that? Deborah? No, let me tell you something.
- 39:44Speaker 2: I'm gonna give you a g I don't want to
- 39:48Speaker 2: do this for what you do, but I will if
- 39:49Speaker 2: you made me. You have to. This movie's made for
- 39:53Speaker 2: de you have You've never in your life experienced anything
- 39:57Speaker 2: like Team America. You've never seen any thing like it.
- 40:00Speaker 2: It's puppet it's marionettes, and it's in a feature film
- 40:04Speaker 2: made with marionettes, and let me tell you, these marionettes
- 40:07Speaker 2: do stuff. And I mean I can tell you during
- 40:12Speaker 2: the break, but it is, don't It may be the
- 40:14Speaker 2: most rated R movie I've ever seen that didn't get
- 40:17Speaker 2: an X value, And I think the only reason is
- 40:20Speaker 2: because it's puppets. What a bummer that if I ever
- 40:23Speaker 2: met a Jenie there goes my world peace wish. Because
- 40:26Speaker 2: now it's deb to see Team America Police. That's funny.
- 40:31Speaker 2: It have you not Jack, Jack again? Right up? It
- 40:37Speaker 2: can't get more of you towards Alley. You know what's crazy? Now,
- 40:40Speaker 2: Please Deb don't take this the wrong way, but there's
- 40:43Speaker 2: a chance that you might. The dumb stuff in that
- 40:46Speaker 2: movie is perfect for you. The smart stuff in that
- 40:52Speaker 2: movie is perfect for Jack. Like the political commentary, I
- 40:57Speaker 2: mean it's filled with it. The name of the movie
- 40:59Speaker 2: is called Team America World Police. Yeah, I mean that's
- 41:03Speaker 2: a pretty politically charged movie title. It kind of makes
- 41:07Speaker 2: it kind of lampoons the whole like super Pro America stuff, right,
- 41:11Speaker 2: it makes kind of fun of that. But yet it's
- 41:13Speaker 2: built in a James Bond kind of spy thing, and
- 41:17Speaker 2: it's all puppets. It's all marionettes, and it really is
- 41:20Speaker 2: kind of an amazing feat. Would you guys agree? Well,
- 41:22Speaker 2: the makers, the guys who created it, Stone and Parker, right,
- 41:26Speaker 2: I think they came back and said, like, we would
- 41:28Speaker 2: never ever do this again. The puppets. Working with the
- 41:31Speaker 2: puppets was a nightmare. Oh yeah, we just thought it
- 41:34Speaker 2: was funny and a flipping idea just said in a
- 41:37Speaker 2: writing room that kind of spun off into a yes.
- 41:39Speaker 2: But they had no idea what they got themselves in.
- 41:41Speaker 2: It's a must serious for both of you guys, all right,
- 41:44Speaker 2: four seven nine one six four one mployee g up next,
- 41:53Speaker 2: good grief.
- 41:54Speaker 6: It is an actual one degrees on my porch shade
- 42:01Speaker 6: under a fan.
- 42:03Speaker 2: This couldn't why even exists anymore? Easy, buddy man, Oh god,
- 42:09Speaker 2: it's just a little hot outside, a little sweat. These
- 42:14Speaker 2: are options you get on with a mall or something.
- 42:16Speaker 3: All right?
- 42:17Speaker 2: Four seven time on text eighties death seven seven zero
- 42:22Speaker 2: three one Welcome back on Jim. There's deb oh Man
- 42:25Speaker 2: is here as well. Yeah, so it's ross, Yeah, check
- 42:27Speaker 2: out clear, Maybe go to Spencer's. All right, let's let's
- 42:32Speaker 2: see what Chloe G's got for us today.
- 42:33Speaker 1: If it's happening in central Florida. It's on her radar,
- 42:36Speaker 1: giving you a reason to get off the couch and
- 42:38Speaker 1: out of the house.
- 42:39Speaker 2: It's time to find out what there is to see
- 42:41Speaker 2: with Chloe G from New Orlando Weekly. What's going on, Chloe?
- 42:50Speaker 2: How you doing?
- 42:50Speaker 11: I'm good? How are you good?
- 42:51Speaker 2: How's your week been pretty good so far?
- 42:54Speaker 16: We do know it's very hot out, and we know
- 42:56Speaker 16: I don't like that. Otherwise it's okay.
- 42:58Speaker 2: It's so funny. It was just talking to Debor about
- 42:59Speaker 2: the heat, and it's Chloe G hot outside because I
- 43:02Speaker 2: know how pissed off you get when it gets super hot.
- 43:04Speaker 11: Yeah, I don't want anyone to talk to me.
- 43:06Speaker 2: Outside, all right. Chloe joins us every Thursday from The
- 43:09Speaker 2: Orlando Weekly Orlando Weekly dot com. You can actually read
- 43:11Speaker 2: her columns right there. I read a couple of them
- 43:13Speaker 2: last week. Myself told her I should had a great job, right,
- 43:16Speaker 2: very nice.
- 43:16Speaker 11: Yeah, that's all you my biggest thing.
- 43:18Speaker 2: You know, A really good job, man. You're a good writer. There.
- 43:20Speaker 2: So she drops by to let us know some things
- 43:22Speaker 2: happening over the weekend. If you're looking for something to do,
- 43:24Speaker 2: all different price ranges in all different parts of the city.
- 43:26Speaker 2: What do you got for this week?
- 43:28Speaker 16: I have a lot of things to do this week.
- 43:30Speaker 16: I'm starting us off with something tonight. Actually, if you're
- 43:33Speaker 16: looking at kick off your weekend a little early. So
- 43:36Speaker 16: there is going to be a fundraiser tonight for the
- 43:40Speaker 16: coffee shop Easy Luck. So this is a very yeah
- 43:43Speaker 16: I saw that, Yeah yeah, let me tell you about it.
- 43:45Speaker 1: Yea.
- 43:46Speaker 16: This is, you know, a very popular coffee coffee shop
- 43:49Speaker 16: that's been in the Milk District for quite a while,
- 43:53Speaker 16: but earlier this summer they announced that they are moving locations.
- 43:57Speaker 16: So they're moving into the Milk Stocks building, which is
- 43:59Speaker 16: not far from where they were located before. You know,
- 44:02Speaker 16: it's in the same area, but they're saying they're not
- 44:05Speaker 16: quite where they want to be with the moving process yet.
- 44:07Speaker 16: So to kind of help them out, the local comedy
- 44:11Speaker 16: show The Bracket Brothers, is throwing a fundraiser event for
- 44:15Speaker 16: them tonight at Sack Comedy Lab in downtown. So The
- 44:19Speaker 16: Bracket Brothers, if you don't know, is a live, interactive
- 44:23Speaker 16: comedic debate style show or the audience votes on winners,
- 44:27Speaker 16: kind of March Madness bracket style on all different topics.
- 44:31Speaker 16: So they're just debating the silliest stuff you can imagine. Yeah,
- 44:35Speaker 16: you know, but it's very funny, it's very high energy.
- 44:38Speaker 16: Tonight's debate is going to focus on all things coffee
- 44:40Speaker 16: shop related, So coffee, baked goods, bread, big old.
- 44:46Speaker 11: Yeah, all the good stuff.
- 44:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:48Speaker 4: All the stickers on your laptop. Which is it better
- 44:50Speaker 4: the more piercings on the tattoos?
- 44:53Speaker 11: Right right, right, right right.
- 44:54Speaker 2: I got asked to do the show one time and
- 44:56Speaker 2: I was dope. I was booked already and it still
- 44:59Speaker 2: upsets me. Old has done this show plenty of time.
- 45:01Speaker 2: That's awesome. Yeah, this show is I haven't seen it.
- 45:05Speaker 2: I haven't done it, but I've heard great things. Awesome.
- 45:07Speaker 2: That's cool.
- 45:08Speaker 16: Yeah, I also haven't seen it, but I've also heard
- 45:10Speaker 16: great things. So tonight and they always have special guests,
- 45:13Speaker 16: so tonight there will be Easy Luck's own barissas that
- 45:16Speaker 16: I guess you guys can make fun of for all
- 45:17Speaker 16: the piercing, and then some local politicians, some local entertainers,
- 45:23Speaker 16: some big Orlando names. There's going to be two sets
- 45:26Speaker 16: of debates tonight. One is at seven pm, the other
- 45:28Speaker 16: one is at nine pm, and they cost twenty dollars
- 45:31Speaker 16: to attend.
- 45:32Speaker 2: Nice sorry yep.
- 45:33Speaker 16: On Friday, local musician Jordan Foley is playing a big
- 45:38Speaker 16: farewell show at Will's Pub.
- 45:40Speaker 2: So.
- 45:41Speaker 16: He is a roots music artist who has been entertaining
- 45:43Speaker 16: in Orlando for quite some time. He started his music
- 45:47Speaker 16: career way back just playing covers at World of Beer
- 45:51Speaker 16: in Claremont, and he's since grown to draw pretty big,
- 45:53Speaker 16: big crowds at some of Orlando's most popular music venues.
- 45:57Speaker 16: He's really intertwined in the community. He's a really good
- 46:00Speaker 16: example of like true Orlando musician. He and his wife
- 46:04Speaker 16: are moving to Nashville, so this is going to be there,
- 46:07Speaker 16: Goodbye to the city. We at the Orlando Weekly interviewed
- 46:11Speaker 16: him last week and he had a lot to say
- 46:13Speaker 16: about how much he loves the community here and how
- 46:16Speaker 16: passionate he is about it. So it'll be a very
- 46:18Speaker 16: sentimental show.
- 46:20Speaker 2: Me Jay, He's something real quick. So this guy plays
- 46:21Speaker 2: all over Yeah, so he used played out at Eden Abbey,
- 46:27Speaker 2: which is a little brewery out in Mount Dora. This
- 46:30Speaker 2: guy is a real deal talent. Oh yeah, this guy
- 46:34Speaker 2: is a real deal talent. I mean his voice is buttery, sweet,
- 46:37Speaker 2: good dude, great stage presence. I mean, really has a
- 46:41Speaker 2: shot he's really good, so I really wish him the best,
- 46:44Speaker 2: and I hope people go out to check him out.
- 46:45Speaker 17: Ye.
- 46:45Speaker 16: Yeah, I've seen his shows too, and he packs out
- 46:48Speaker 16: the venue all the time.
- 46:49Speaker 11: He's great.
- 46:50Speaker 16: And yeah, he's moving to Nashville because his wife got
- 46:53Speaker 16: a job opportunity, but he's kind of helped hoping that
- 46:55Speaker 16: that kicks off his music a little bit more as well.
- 46:58Speaker 16: So the show takes place Friday nights PM at Will's Pub,
- 47:01Speaker 16: and there's gonna be a little after party situation after
- 47:04Speaker 16: the music's over. Tickets are twenty two dollars, very affordable,
- 47:08Speaker 16: very affordable. On Saturday, the Orlando roller Derby is having
- 47:13Speaker 16: a big double header and an after party.
- 47:16Speaker 2: Are you smiling? A love roller?
- 47:21Speaker 16: I don't do it myself, but as an audience member,
- 47:24Speaker 16: I love it. It's so fun.
- 47:27Speaker 2: Do you like professional wrestling? Yeah, that's awesome. And this
- 47:31Speaker 2: is basically a wrestling on skates, I know.
- 47:33Speaker 11: And they get each other.
- 47:35Speaker 2: They've had roller Derby in Orlando for a while. I
- 47:37Speaker 2: got used to work here. His girlfriend was part of it.
- 47:39Speaker 11: No, and they're good. They're good, like they like they.
- 47:42Speaker 2: Go to kill. Have you considered it?
- 47:45Speaker 15: No?
- 47:45Speaker 16: Have you seen me I don't have any athletics ability
- 47:48Speaker 16: at all, but I'm a very good audience member.
- 47:51Speaker 11: I'll hoot and holler all day.
- 47:53Speaker 16: So the sun Blockers are playing Classic City and then
- 47:56Speaker 16: the man Tee Mayhem are playing the heat Wave Hellcats.
- 48:00Speaker 16: Like I said, these games are insane to watch. They're
- 48:02Speaker 16: so high energy, so fun. They are family friendly though,
- 48:06Speaker 16: so it's really nothing too crazy. It is just a
- 48:08Speaker 16: lot of fun. The matches are indoors in the ac
- 48:12Speaker 16: They are at the Barnett Park Gymnasium off of Colonial Drive.
- 48:17Speaker 16: The bleacher seating is limited, so you can bring lawn chairs,
- 48:20Speaker 16: picnic blankets and kind of do court side seating there.
- 48:22Speaker 16: The first game is at ten forty five am, the
- 48:24Speaker 16: seconds at one pm, and then they're doing an after
- 48:27Speaker 16: party at three pm at Great Southern Boxing Company food Hall.
- 48:31Speaker 2: Nothing better than getting some breakfast and then go watching
- 48:33Speaker 2: people beat each other up in roller skates.
- 48:35Speaker 11: And then you can grab a beer off. Yeah, like
- 48:37Speaker 11: it's perfect. It's the perfect afternoon.
- 48:39Speaker 2: Usually that's just a waffle house thing, right, Usually you
- 48:42Speaker 2: don't have to leave the waffle house for that.
- 48:45Speaker 16: Games are twelve dollars per person, but kids twelve and
- 48:48Speaker 16: younger get in.
- 48:49Speaker 2: Free, so that's cool, pretty cheap.
- 48:51Speaker 16: On Sunday, we have a Bad Bunny pop upp market
- 48:55Speaker 16: taking place. So this is hosted by La Bodega, which
- 48:58Speaker 16: is a traveling pop but market. The Bad Bunny Market
- 49:02Speaker 16: on Sunday is going to take place at Great Southern
- 49:05Speaker 16: Box Company Food HALLO that's such a mouthful of a name.
- 49:10Speaker 16: So guests will be able to shop through dozens of
- 49:13Speaker 16: local vendors. There will also be raffles every hour food
- 49:16Speaker 16: and drink, and then Bad Bunny inspired props into core
- 49:19Speaker 16: to take photos with and they're of course going to
- 49:21Speaker 16: be playing his music all day. They also are encouraging
- 49:24Speaker 16: guests to come in themed outfits, which really I think
- 49:26Speaker 16: can mean anything because quite the fashion stuff.
- 49:30Speaker 2: Yea, he will wear anything.
- 49:31Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 49:32Speaker 16: So that is from two to six pm on Sunday,
- 49:34Speaker 16: and it is free to attend.
- 49:35Speaker 2: Sounds fun, yep.
- 49:37Speaker 16: And I have one more event for us. I'm kind
- 49:39Speaker 16: of really extending our weekend pretty heavily here because Orlando
- 49:43Speaker 16: Weekly is bringing back our Best of Orlando Awards party
- 49:47Speaker 16: on Tuesday.
- 49:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 49:48Speaker 16: Yes, so this is the first time we're having this
- 49:50Speaker 16: party in seven years. It is Yeah, like I said, really,
- 49:54Speaker 16: if you want to stretch out your weekend into Tuesday.
- 49:56Speaker 11: It works perfect.
- 49:58Speaker 16: It's going to be a big celib ration of all
- 50:00Speaker 16: the finalists and winners who placed in the Best of
- 50:02Speaker 16: Orlando Readers Pull this year. The winners are actually officially
- 50:06Speaker 16: released the following day, next Wednesday, but attendees at the
- 50:09Speaker 16: party will learn who won in each of the hundreds
- 50:11Speaker 16: of categories one night early. There's gonna be local DJs
- 50:14Speaker 16: playing live music, complimentary small bites, and performance artist Brian
- 50:19Speaker 16: Feldman will be dispensing copies of the print issues from
- 50:23Speaker 16: inside an Orlando Weekly newspaper box.
- 50:25Speaker 2: Very nice, that's gonna go. Yeah.
- 50:27Speaker 16: So that is Tuesday at the Plaza Live from seven
- 50:30Speaker 16: to ten pm and tickets start at forty dollars.
- 50:33Speaker 2: Oh awesome. So let me ask do they protect that
- 50:35Speaker 2: information pretty heavily though?
- 50:37Speaker 11: It's like locked down?
- 50:38Speaker 2: Is it really?
- 50:39Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 50:39Speaker 11: Like, don't ask me because I don't know anything, but.
- 50:41Speaker 2: I'm saying, do they really take it? That's seriously? Like, Yeah,
- 50:43Speaker 2: there's a guy who walks through with an envelope and
- 50:45Speaker 2: white gloves.
- 50:46Speaker 11: And it's like the White House.
- 50:47Speaker 2: Is it really?
- 50:48Speaker 11: It's very important?
- 50:49Speaker 2: Very cool?
- 50:49Speaker 11: Yes, Well, because people care about it so much.
- 50:52Speaker 2: Yes they do.
- 50:54Speaker 11: So that's what I have for you this weekend.
- 50:56Speaker 2: Very nice, that's awesome. What do you doing this weekend?
- 50:58Speaker 16: This weekend, I actually am missing out on all of
- 51:01Speaker 16: this fun stuff because my little sister's moving.
- 51:03Speaker 11: So I'm going to help.
- 51:03Speaker 2: Her move where she's going.
- 51:05Speaker 16: She's moving thirty minutes down the road. But I am
- 51:08Speaker 16: just going to help load up. But you hall uh,
- 51:11Speaker 16: you know how it is.
- 51:12Speaker 11: We're going to go shopping. We're going to go to
- 51:14Speaker 11: the container store.
- 51:15Speaker 2: Let me give you a heads up. What's gonna happen.
- 51:16Speaker 2: That's a good time. The container store. Oh my star,
- 51:22Speaker 2: do you know go to a container store? Here's the thing.
- 51:25Speaker 2: Container store is the place where you walk in like
- 51:27Speaker 2: I don't need any of that. I need all of this.
- 51:31Speaker 2: You start feel you start dreaming stuff in your house
- 51:34Speaker 2: to put into stuff.
- 51:35Speaker 11: Yeah, I want to live inside the store. I don't
- 51:38Speaker 11: want to take it home with me. I want to
- 51:39Speaker 11: move in.
- 51:40Speaker 2: If you are even one percent oc if one percent OCD, buddy,
- 51:45Speaker 2: you're never getting out of there. I had a friend
- 51:47Speaker 2: and get addicted to adderall in one of those stories
- 51:51Speaker 2: is crazy up in there. I think you're still counting. Now,
- 51:54Speaker 2: let me tell you when you guys go to load
- 51:56Speaker 2: dead truck. Yeah, just recently had to go pick up
- 51:58Speaker 2: some furniture for for us. It was given to us
- 52:01Speaker 2: as a gift, so we went and got him. The
- 52:03Speaker 2: inside of a U haul truck right now is about
- 52:05Speaker 2: one hundred and forty five degrees. Aye, I know how
- 52:08Speaker 2: much looking heat. You better start loading thing at six
- 52:12Speaker 2: in the morning. You are going to evaporate.
- 52:14Speaker 16: I need to get one of those fans that hang
- 52:16Speaker 16: on your neck and like blow in your face.
- 52:18Speaker 11: You don't even have to hold it up. It just
- 52:20Speaker 11: does it for you.
- 52:21Speaker 2: He's just gonna melt. Oh man, exactly.
- 52:25Speaker 16: Maybe I'll go to the hospital and get a real
- 52:26Speaker 16: ivy who knows all.
- 52:28Speaker 2: Fun always get to see and you call you good.
- 52:34Speaker 2: You're gonna hang up at least one little second, four
- 52:35Speaker 2: for sure. Twenty four one text us seven seven zero
- 52:39Speaker 2: three one back in a second with more of the
- 52:40Speaker 2: Jim Colberd.
- 52:40Speaker 15: Show America, like I'm talking tonight, we will Crown fund
- 52:45Speaker 15: the rental of it for you. Whatever you need. You
- 52:48Speaker 15: need to watch that movie tonight. I do not know
- 52:50Speaker 15: if there is a singular piece of art that has
- 52:53Speaker 15: ever been created that ticks every single one of your
- 52:55Speaker 15: boxes more than Team America. Please do us all a
- 52:59Speaker 15: favor and watch that.
- 53:00Speaker 8: Movie car through you half answer to.
- 53:11Speaker 2: America, Yeah it's too good. It's too good. I am
- 53:22Speaker 2: dying to hear your two YouTube review Team America. I
- 53:26Speaker 2: just cannot. I am dying. All right, Welcome back to
- 53:29Speaker 2: the Jim Colbert Show. We're already one to four point one.
- 53:31Speaker 2: I'm Jim. There's Deab Hello, Okay, yep, Ross there Thursday
- 53:35Speaker 2: and Chloe g hanging out for another segment. Turn her
- 53:38Speaker 2: on there one more time. Hello, there you go. Now
- 53:41Speaker 2: you're with us. I want to do a quick little
- 53:43Speaker 2: story before Glenn gets in here for corbort Court, because
- 53:45Speaker 2: Chloe's here and I wanted to see what she thinks
- 53:47Speaker 2: about this. So, uh, Disney, Well we talked about Disney.
- 53:50Speaker 2: Was it yesterday or the day before? I think it
- 53:53Speaker 2: was yesterday. Yeah, when they were the whole idea of
- 53:55Speaker 2: Disney shutting down the resort hopping, Yes, that was yesterday.
- 54:00Speaker 2: You know that is like, so people park at Disney
- 54:03Speaker 2: Springs because it's free, and then they hop on the
- 54:05Speaker 2: shuttles or the boats and they go to the resorts
- 54:08Speaker 2: and they tool around the resorts. But the people of
- 54:10Speaker 2: the resorts are like, well, I want to I want
- 54:12Speaker 2: to get in line for this, like Beignet or this
- 54:14Speaker 2: candy shop. But all these people who are just hopping
- 54:17Speaker 2: on the boats and coming in or making these lines long.
- 54:19Speaker 2: So they got to shut all that down, right, So
- 54:22Speaker 2: that's about the biggest That's about the biggest controversy you go
- 54:24Speaker 2: get at Disney. Right today, there's another controversy at Disney.
- 54:28Speaker 3: Oh no.
- 54:29Speaker 2: A recent change to Walt Disney World is causing an
- 54:32Speaker 2: uproar among some part guests. And it's got nothing to
- 54:36Speaker 2: do with a ride or an attraction or a restaurant
- 54:39Speaker 2: or a character or anything. And I bet money that
- 54:43Speaker 2: everybody will understand exactly what this is because I think
- 54:47Speaker 2: they probably had the same problem at Universal Disney. Disney
- 54:54Speaker 2: is replacing their trash cans.
- 54:57Speaker 6: Oh dude, don't get me started about this.
- 55:00Speaker 18: Man.
- 55:00Speaker 2: They're replacing their trash cans. Do you know what that's
- 55:03Speaker 2: a big deal? No, oh, I do. Because it's the
- 55:06Speaker 2: only place, because the way that these parks are designed,
- 55:09Speaker 2: they don't want you sitting around. It's the only place
- 55:12Speaker 2: where you can put a drink or or a plate
- 55:14Speaker 2: of food while you're kind of standing around. It acts
- 55:17Speaker 2: like a little table. They've changed them to be like
- 55:19Speaker 2: the Solar trash cans, and the tops are rounded now,
- 55:24Speaker 2: so you can't use Disney trash cans as like a
- 55:27Speaker 2: little table or an impromptu table anymore because your stuff
- 55:30Speaker 2: will just fall off. It's pretty big. I hate to
- 55:33Speaker 2: admit that I'm fully aware of Disney culture at this point,
- 55:37Speaker 2: to this degree at least. And yeah, if you've ever
- 55:40Speaker 2: food and wined, you've eaten on top of one of
- 55:43Speaker 2: those Disney trash cans and they've been perfect. They were there.
- 55:46Speaker 11: What a flat service in a fame park.
- 55:48Speaker 16: I don't understand this anti standing around movement. Why can't
- 55:52Speaker 16: we just stand around the trash can?
- 55:55Speaker 2: It's already disgusting, so you're still standing while you eat? Yeah, yeah,
- 56:00Speaker 2: out with the trash can the big deal. But the
- 56:02Speaker 2: thing is is there's nowhere to sit in the parks.
- 56:04Speaker 2: Like even when you get something, the areas where you
- 56:06Speaker 2: where you go to get food are almost always slammed,
- 56:08Speaker 2: So you have to get your food to go sit
- 56:09Speaker 2: somewhere in the park. But they don't really provide places
- 56:12Speaker 2: for that, only a few benches here and there, So
- 56:14Speaker 2: people use these trash cans which are everywhere because Disney
- 56:17Speaker 2: doesn't mean any of the parks they don't want trash
- 56:19Speaker 2: around the you know, say, they offer like myriad trash
- 56:23Speaker 2: can opportunities and people start using those as little tables.
- 56:26Speaker 2: But they've changed design so now people get us them
- 56:29Speaker 2: for tables and they have nowhere to put their drinkers up.
- 56:31Speaker 2: And when they're trying to get their burger or dog, and.
- 56:32Speaker 16: Now there's going to be food all over the ground
- 56:34Speaker 16: because you're walking and eating everything.
- 56:36Speaker 2: It could be I don't know, we don't know about that.
- 56:39Speaker 2: It's weird to say, but it is a I am
- 56:41Speaker 2: not making this up. There is a cult following behind
- 56:45Speaker 2: the Disney trash can and eating and it getting changed
- 56:50Speaker 2: is kind of a shot towards a very odd but
- 56:52Speaker 2: still existing community.
- 56:54Speaker 4: It's a good when you can't find a place to sit,
- 56:57Speaker 4: you're hungry, you spent that money on the food and
- 57:01Speaker 4: you can't even sit down. You need a place to
- 57:03Speaker 4: be able to put this down. Now, the only problem
- 57:05Speaker 4: with that Disney trash can is other people are bringing
- 57:09Speaker 4: their garbage to where you're eating your food. Yeah, yeah,
- 57:13Speaker 4: you're right, and that's kind of rude.
- 57:14Speaker 2: Yeah, you have to move out of the way so
- 57:15Speaker 2: they can throw your trash around and are away and
- 57:17Speaker 2: you can continue eating. And then this can't you see
- 57:20Speaker 2: I'm eating here? It says that some visitors took to
- 57:22Speaker 2: social media to question how they'll eat outside on the
- 57:25Speaker 2: flat services if they disappear, and for some part guess. However,
- 57:28Speaker 2: the change highlights an unexpected part of Disney experience, finding
- 57:31Speaker 2: a place to sit down and enjoy a snack, which
- 57:33Speaker 2: is really, to be honest with you a matter of fact,
- 57:35Speaker 2: they even asked everybody's like emailing Disney, going, well, are
- 57:38Speaker 2: you gonna put some tables or something out there then,
- 57:39Speaker 2: because we have nowhere to sit when we buy this
- 57:42Speaker 2: expensive food you're selling us. Look giant turkey, Like, I'm
- 57:45Speaker 2: gonna walk around that thing like a cave man.
- 57:47Speaker 16: Yeah, well, I'm thinking the next resort is to sit
- 57:49Speaker 16: on the floor. Chris Cross Apple sauce. What are they
- 57:51Speaker 16: gonna do next? Take away the floor?
- 57:54Speaker 11: Moving floor?
- 57:54Speaker 2: What's a billion degrees out there? You sit on the
- 57:57Speaker 2: I mean, look, even sitting on a curb is a
- 57:59Speaker 2: pain in the ass. H and uh if you got kids,
- 58:02Speaker 2: it's even worse. And of course if you're a Disney
- 58:03Speaker 2: more than like you got a kid in toe hopefully
- 58:07Speaker 2: yeah right, because it's not weird, right, and this is
- 58:09Speaker 2: how like weird and I get it. Anybody goes, this
- 58:13Speaker 2: is stupid. You're right, all right, but let me don't
- 58:16Speaker 2: just totally yuck some people's yum off rip These new
- 58:19Speaker 2: trash cans, they're taller, they are more of a slope.
- 58:23Speaker 2: It was those the old school trash cans. Jim I
- 58:27Speaker 2: was am I part of the cold. Do you think
- 58:29Speaker 2: this is by design or do you think that Disney
- 58:32Speaker 2: really never thought about this, or like like we just
- 58:34Speaker 2: want to update our trash cans because they're they're oldly
- 58:36Speaker 2: been around for a while now.
- 58:37Speaker 16: I think they think about everything. They have enough money
- 58:40Speaker 16: to think about literally everything they do. Oh, I definitely
- 58:43Speaker 16: think this is intentional.
- 58:44Speaker 2: So you think that they think the look of people
- 58:46Speaker 2: in their park eating off a trash can is something
- 58:49Speaker 2: they don't want like in photographs or or videos.
- 58:52Speaker 16: Maybe it's like maybe it's like, don't get too comfortable here,
- 58:55Speaker 16: got to keep you on your toes.
- 58:57Speaker 2: They're on that one. Yeah, all right, four oh seven
- 59:00Speaker 2: nine four one. You can always text us at seven
- 59:02Speaker 2: seven zero three one. Take a litle break. We'll come
- 59:04Speaker 2: back and do Colbert Court with their buddy Glen Klausman
- 59:06Speaker 2: will do that next.
- 59:11Speaker 18: What up jaconscrew? Hey Jimmy on those gas pumps with
- 59:14Speaker 18: the TVs. You know, there's four buttons on the left
- 59:17Speaker 18: of the screen. There's four buttons on the right side
- 59:19Speaker 18: of the screen, on the right side. If you press
- 59:22Speaker 18: the second button from the top, it will mute the
- 59:25Speaker 18: TV for you.
- 59:26Speaker 2: You can take me later or now. Thanks, all right?
- 59:32Speaker 2: Four seven nine four one text us seven seven zero
- 59:35Speaker 2: three one. I'm jim there's deb Hello, Jack k Ross
- 59:39Speaker 2: all president? Yeah, yeah, you are president. Let's do Colbert Court.
- 59:44Speaker 1: When you are listening to is reel well sort of.
- 59:47Speaker 1: The participants are not actors as a fact. This is, however,
- 59:51Speaker 1: a real case that will be decided here in hour
- 59:54Speaker 1: four of Colbert Court.
- 59:56Speaker 2: Cover Court Rocks. You buy a good fring Glenn Klausman
- 59:59Speaker 2: A Klosman Law. That's ha l A U S I
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: me in law dot Com office is right there in
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: winter Park four oh seven nine one seven seventeen eighteen
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: car crash called Clothsman guys good loud for mister Glenn Clawsman. Mental,
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: what's up, buddy? How you doing. I'm doing great. Yeah,
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: things good to hear. El Fatticus is here for sure.
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: All right? Does this heat bother you?
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: By the way?
- 1:00:21Speaker 8: It's hot out there? Man, I got out in the
- 1:00:23Speaker 8: car and it was you can melt out there. It
- 1:00:27Speaker 8: started drizzling a little bit. Oh it really Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:00:29Speaker 8: that's even worse though, because it makes it like human
- 1:00:31Speaker 8: as balls. It was welcome for yeah seconds.
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: But but here's the thing, Like, you're from South Florida,
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: so I figure you kind of had a different tolerance
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: maybe for the heat. Not really, no, really, the way
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: it is now, it's way too hot.
- 1:00:44Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just hot as hell, isn't it. Yeah.
- 1:00:46Speaker 8: I mean I have an intolerance for the cold because
- 1:00:48Speaker 8: I'm from South Florida. But the tolerance for the heat,
- 1:00:50Speaker 8: I don't think you get.
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: Oh really yeah, interesting, I find that I hate the
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: cold more now than I ever have in my life.
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: I can't stand it. Glenn is a personal injury attorney,
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: specializing or in it right here in Orlando for a
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: thirty five forty years, specializing in car accidents. Actually that's
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: how he gets to be a super lawyer, legal elite
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: to you know, other lawyers call him for specialty information
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: on situations they can't figure out. That's a true story
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: as well. And my man knows what he's doing. This
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: is what he does all the time, So he drops by,
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: he presents us a case. We will read the case
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: and then we'll kind of go around the room trying
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: to figure it out ourselves. Then we'll turn it over
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: to Glenn. One of the reasons we do this segment
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: is because it can get real sketchy if you get
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: into a car accident and you don't make the right moves,
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: you don't have the right coverage. And we've just heard
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: horror stories over the years of doing this segment of
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: people who really never thought it was gonna happen to them,
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: and the next thing you know, they're in the middle
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: of the situation. They're injured, they have no ability to
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: work now, and they have no insurance to cover the
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: debts that they're building up through medical care, through losing
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: their car, possibly losing their job. And this is just
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: to kind of inform you and illustrate how those things
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: can happen and what you can do to avoid that.
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: And some cases all like water transparent, you can see
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: roy through them. Also, like mud. Yeah, one hundred percent,
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: I would agree with that, faticus. You guys ready, Glenn,
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: is this an actual case, This is an actual factual situation.
- 1:02:09Speaker 8: Yeah, and it's probably more like mud than like water.
- 1:02:12Speaker 8: Yeah yeah, oh really yeah.
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: Oh we get Moody in the back road tonight.
- 1:02:16Speaker 10: Now.
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: Oh that's interesting because he never really says that, he
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: never really gives us an idea that it's going to
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: be a sideways case. So already we have a clue.
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: All right, here we go. Abanda is twenty six years old.
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: She was injured in a rear end collision. Amanda has
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: an ambulance bill and an emergency room hospital bill, and
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: those bills are thirty two thousand dollars. Oh Shaquill O'Neal.
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: The driver who caused the collision has the Florida Minimum
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: required auto insurance. Amanda lives with her parents. Her parents
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: have uninsured motorists coverage on their cars, and Amanda is
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: listed as a driver on their auto insurance policy. Amanda
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: also has basic auto insurance on her car with no
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: uninsured motorist coverage. How can you help Amanda? And I
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: know automatically I looked at Jack after this because I
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: thought Jack was gonna lean in, but I don't think
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: that our parents having it matters because she has her
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: own car. But I agree with you, mister Colba. I
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: believe mister Bradshaw should go first. Thank your all right?
- 1:03:22Speaker 4: Yeah, because it's a situation I was in with, you
- 1:03:24Speaker 4: know where I know my kids have coverage, but they're
- 1:03:29Speaker 4: you know, looking for the most inexpensive coverage and you know,
- 1:03:34Speaker 4: adding uninsured motors coverage. I you know, I said it's
- 1:03:38Speaker 4: a must for you. So they have added it. And
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: because this is a situation I was hoping to avoid
- 1:03:45Speaker 4: that we're talking about today. I do not know how
- 1:03:50Speaker 4: it plays out. I I don't know why the parents
- 1:03:54Speaker 4: auto insurance because I.
- 1:03:57Speaker 5: Was gonna say, doesn't the fact that she lives at home,
- 1:04:00Speaker 5: wouldn't that have some bearing?
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: She has her own policy. Though she has her own policy, well,
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: isn't she also like a phone book? She's listed on
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: her pirates policy she is, so that means she can
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: drive their vehicle. She wasn't driving it this time. So
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: is she covered as a driver?
- 1:04:16Speaker 4: I would assume so, h And we go to them
- 1:04:19Speaker 4: and we hope that they can cover the difference in
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: the bill.
- 1:04:23Speaker 5: That's where I would go because there's no other option
- 1:04:25Speaker 5: for her. If she's listed on the parents' policy, then
- 1:04:27Speaker 5: that means their policy should be able to cover the injuries.
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: But wouldn't that only wouldn't that only come into play
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: if she was driving one of their vehicles, because she
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: does have her own policy on her own car and
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: it does not have uninsured motorists coverage.
- 1:04:40Speaker 5: But then when you think of passengers in someone's vehicle,
- 1:04:42Speaker 5: even though they may not have uninsured motorists coverage or
- 1:04:46Speaker 5: the driver doesn't, but then they can lean on the passenger,
- 1:04:49Speaker 5: I could see where this could possibly Why.
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: Ten from her policy, ten from the person who hit.
- 1:04:53Speaker 8: Her, Well, the person that hit her has no insurance
- 1:04:56Speaker 8: to pay for her injuries, only pay for the damage
- 1:04:58Speaker 8: to the car.
- 1:04:59Speaker 5: Yeah, he has the minim in Florida, So she's got
- 1:05:01Speaker 5: she's got the money to fix her car, her tend
- 1:05:04Speaker 5: to cover her injuries, and then lean on her parents
- 1:05:08Speaker 5: auto insurance. I don't think she could use anything with
- 1:05:10Speaker 5: the homeowner's insurance, so I would say maybe the parent's
- 1:05:14Speaker 5: auto insurances are only other options.
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: But I believe the individual. Mister Cosman, you said that
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: the individual who hit hood does not have any insurance. No, yes,
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: it's the basic bare minim there the ten thousand dollars
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: to fix her car. That's it. I misunderstood objection. And
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: she's looking at thirty two thousand dollars in bills, not
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: only for the emergency room but also for the ambulance ride.
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: I get you with that. Now, does she have injuries
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: that the last longer? Is she okay?
- 1:05:41Speaker 10: Or she?
- 1:05:42Speaker 8: At this point she's concerned about running up a bill
- 1:05:44Speaker 8: for more medical care because she does not have health insurance.
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: Father, right, Oh, she does not have health insurance. No
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: health insurance either. Yeah, he can't be mad at a
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: twister for being.
- 1:05:57Speaker 14: So.
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: You do not have a very positive body language happening
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: right now. It leads me to believe that maybe there's
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: a situation where this is one of those anomalies where
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: even though she lives in a house where people have it,
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: and even though she has auto insurance on her own car,
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: and even though she wasn't driving, that she may be
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: in a pickle here because I would think that even
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: though her parents have her listed on their auto insurance,
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: she's not driving one of their vehicles. And I think
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: that that only comes into play when she's in one
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: of their vehicles. That's what Why would she have a
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: policy on her car if there has covered her? Right,
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: it doesn't, So I think you're right in that regard. However,
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: it's the only money that I can see is out there,
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: if there is any money, If there is any money, yeah.
- 1:06:40Speaker 8: So that's the question. Can she get her parents uninsured
- 1:06:43Speaker 8: motors coverage to help her out there?
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: So there's the question. So there is no like, there's
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: no swerve. That is the main question.
- 1:06:48Speaker 8: That's the question.
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: That's the issue.
- 1:06:49Speaker 8: We know that she has a basic policy that will
- 1:06:53Speaker 8: pay ten thousand dollars towards her medical bills. That's not
- 1:06:56Speaker 8: going to get rid of the big hospital bill. And
- 1:06:59Speaker 8: you know the other question where she's going to get
- 1:07:00Speaker 8: money to pay for the rest of the hospital bill.
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: Barbecue chicken. But I gotta tell you, I think she's done.
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: I mean, I think this is a tough situation where
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: I don't know that the parents' auto insurance comes into
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: play here at all, because that's a policy for them
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: on their vehicles. She is listed' she's listed as a driver.
- 1:07:20Speaker 4: That means she can drive their vehicles and be covered
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: if she's driving their vehicles.
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: Okay, stop working for the insurance company.
- 1:07:27Speaker 8: Well, and the other interesting Jack, The other interesting to
- 1:07:30Speaker 8: us is if she was in someone else's car and
- 1:07:34Speaker 8: got injured, she would have the ability, of course to
- 1:07:38Speaker 8: use her parents uninsured motors coverage.
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: So why can't she Now, Well, that's the question.
- 1:07:43Speaker 8: Even though she has that ability if she's in someone
- 1:07:45Speaker 8: else's car to get the uninsured motors coverage because they
- 1:07:48Speaker 8: cover her because she's a resident releative of their household.
- 1:07:51Speaker 8: So their uninsured motors coverage covers her no matter where
- 1:07:54Speaker 8: she goes in anyone else's car.
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: But then the.
- 1:07:58Speaker 8: Question is she's in her car, in her car, she's
- 1:08:01Speaker 8: in her carclude her from getting her parents coverage UFC.
- 1:08:07Speaker 8: The game has changed.
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: This is tough stuff. Let me ask you.
- 1:08:11Speaker 8: Have you had a case like this, Yes, it's it's
- 1:08:15Speaker 8: not it's this particular company. Is that multiple companies have
- 1:08:18Speaker 8: the same type of language and their policies cover this issue.
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: So I'm going to go ahead and uh, that way
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: you can explain what's going on here. I'm going to
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: go ahead and just kind of vote the fact that
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: I think she's maybe up the creek.
- 1:08:29Speaker 4: I think so because of the way Glenn just said,
- 1:08:31Speaker 4: multiple companies have this language in their policies. They're not
- 1:08:35Speaker 4: putting language in their policies to benefit the the person
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: the insured, It's to benefit them. So I have a
- 1:08:41Speaker 4: feeling that they are not going to pay out since
- 1:08:43Speaker 4: she was driving her own insured vice.
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: So you're with me? So what do you say, Deborah? Yeah,
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: I'm with you, guys, just because of what Glenn said.
- 1:08:50Speaker 5: If she had been a passenger in her best friend's
- 1:08:53Speaker 5: car her she'd be covered.
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: But because she was.
- 1:08:56Speaker 5: Driving her own car with its own policy and she
- 1:08:59Speaker 5: chose not to have uninsured motorist coverage, the insurance company
- 1:09:02Speaker 5: isn't going to go, oh well, okay, well we'll cover you.
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: And we know that they will use any possible anything,
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: any little aberration in the language or event that will
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: allow them to kind of scoot out. What say you, faticus?
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: I believe that the policy is worded in a way
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: that we all put in a business tie on a
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: on a raccoon on a pulse. Okay, I believe the
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: bow tie on the possum is what he said. Okay,
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: and I'm not even I'm talking about the macaroni. Yeah,
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: this is a lipstick on a pig scenario. That's where
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: I was going, Nice, thank you. I believe she is
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: so well.
- 1:09:39Speaker 8: As my Copple used to say, I think you all
- 1:09:41Speaker 8: have learned something over doing this over the years. Yeah,
- 1:09:44Speaker 8: you've learned something that the insurance companies, when they write policies,
- 1:09:47Speaker 8: are going to write policies in a way that benefits
- 1:09:49Speaker 8: them more than other folks.
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:09:51Speaker 8: And you know, the interesting situation is her parents have
- 1:09:54Speaker 8: insurance with this particular company, and it's the same company.
- 1:09:57Speaker 8: She has insurance with the same agents and everything. But
- 1:10:01Speaker 8: because she wanted to save money on her policy and
- 1:10:03Speaker 8: not have uninsured motors coverage on her policy, her parents'
- 1:10:06Speaker 8: policy is not going to cover. And she's just we've
- 1:10:10Speaker 8: got this huge hospital bill and that's why she's not
- 1:10:12Speaker 8: going to get much more medical treatment, even though she
- 1:10:13Speaker 8: might need it. She has no health insurance. She tried
- 1:10:16Speaker 8: to get health insurance and she said it's not open
- 1:10:19Speaker 8: for me to get it at this time. How old
- 1:10:21Speaker 8: is she?
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: How about I just old enough not to be on
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: her parents right exactly? Yeah, oh that's right. I was
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: about to say, how about homeowners insurance?
- 1:10:29Speaker 8: Because she lives there no nothing there anything that happens
- 1:10:33Speaker 8: in the car is excluded under your home own the
- 1:10:35Speaker 8: worst possible goldilock zone you can be in.
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: Right, she's too old for this. You didn't do this,
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: You didn't do that, yep, yep.
- 1:10:41Speaker 8: And the message is if you're if you're in that situation,
- 1:10:44Speaker 8: if listeners are in that situation where you think you're
- 1:10:46Speaker 8: saving money by not having uninsured motors coverage on a
- 1:10:50Speaker 8: car that is in your household that's not insured under
- 1:10:53Speaker 8: your main policy, because you're saving some money on putting
- 1:10:56Speaker 8: on another policy without uninsured motors coverage, you ought to
- 1:11:00Speaker 8: think twice about adding an insured motors coverage to that
- 1:11:02Speaker 8: other car.
- 1:11:03Speaker 5: But you know, Glenn, I always think about when Jack
- 1:11:05Speaker 5: talks about when he was getting insurance and the agent
- 1:11:09Speaker 5: was like, oh, well, you don't need to get uninsured
- 1:11:12Speaker 5: motorist coverage because you already have health insurance. So we
- 1:11:15Speaker 5: know a lot of insurance agents are really trying to
- 1:11:18Speaker 5: discourage people by telling them they don't need it. How
- 1:11:22Speaker 5: do people counter that when their own insurance agent says
- 1:11:24Speaker 5: you don't need it.
- 1:11:25Speaker 8: Yeah, it's a huge problem. And in this particular case,
- 1:11:28Speaker 8: the parents said, well, we thought you'd be covered because
- 1:11:30Speaker 8: we have an insurance man, and so you know, the
- 1:11:34Speaker 8: problem with it is you pay a premium and you
- 1:11:37Speaker 8: get in the mail the policy that you bought and
- 1:11:41Speaker 8: the declarations page that tells you what kind of coverages
- 1:11:44Speaker 8: you have. So even though an agent might have told
- 1:11:47Speaker 8: you that you're going to be covered, if the language
- 1:11:50Speaker 8: and the policy you get says you're not covered, it's
- 1:11:52Speaker 8: very difficult then to do something about it. Because you've
- 1:11:55Speaker 8: got a copy of the policy, you see what you're
- 1:11:57Speaker 8: paying premiums for, and the.
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: Reality is it doesn't or what he said, it's what's
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: on that paper. You know.
- 1:12:01Speaker 8: The problem with that is we can't everyday people, even lawyers,
- 1:12:05Speaker 8: can't read these policies and understand them. Sometimes. I mean
- 1:12:08Speaker 8: I have to look, I have to look very careful
- 1:12:10Speaker 8: and read it very slowly to make sure I understand
- 1:12:11Speaker 8: it exactly what they're saying.
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: You know.
- 1:12:14Speaker 8: Yeah, So how do you expect everyday people to say, Okay,
- 1:12:17Speaker 8: well you got the policy, you should have read it,
- 1:12:19Speaker 8: and you still saw you don't have coverage and you
- 1:12:20Speaker 8: should have done something about it.
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: That's a lot of reality, a lot for a lot
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: of folks. You trust the people that you work with.
- 1:12:26Speaker 5: It's like they say you should never sign anything without
- 1:12:29Speaker 5: reading it first.
- 1:12:29Speaker 8: What choice do you have these days?
- 1:12:31Speaker 5: Okay, have you ever been to a mortgage closing? You
- 1:12:33Speaker 5: would be there for six months if you tried to
- 1:12:36Speaker 5: read every single piece of paper that you're supposed to sign.
- 1:12:38Speaker 5: It's just too many words, it's too many pieces of papers.
- 1:12:42Speaker 8: In this day and age, they put these arbitration clauses
- 1:12:44Speaker 8: on stuff where you can't even do something. If you
- 1:12:46Speaker 8: have a dispute, it goes to arbitration.
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: And it's a one time I thought I was buying
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: a house and with a Vietnamese baby. Yeah, oh but
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: you it's cute. Yeah, it's when I got him out
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: about Oh man, what a mess? Huh yeah? Yeah, good lord.
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: So what do you tell somebody like that when they
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: when you know, when you when they call you up
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: and you go through everything, and you just got to
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: look at them and say, hey, look, I'm super sorry,
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: but this is I.
- 1:13:12Speaker 8: Wish I could help, but you know, you can fix
- 1:13:14Speaker 8: it now, but it's not going to help you for
- 1:13:15Speaker 8: this one. And you know, maybe another lawyer can figure
- 1:13:18Speaker 8: something out, but you know, sure I certainly couldn't figure
- 1:13:21Speaker 8: it out when I read the politician.
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah. I can't imagine if you couldn't figure
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: out anybody else, i'd find anything out there.
- 1:13:25Speaker 8: But I you know, when I tell people I can't
- 1:13:27Speaker 8: help them it, I don't hesitate to tell them to
- 1:13:29Speaker 8: try to get another opinion.
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, somebody see I'm correct.
- 1:13:32Speaker 5: Yeah, somebody just texted us at seven seven zero three one.
- 1:13:36Speaker 5: I pay one thirty five a month for one car.
- 1:13:39Speaker 5: Geico quoted me two twenty to add uninsured motorists.
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: Wow, so another one hundred bucks almost?
- 1:13:44Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, maybe five bucks sounds like yeah.
- 1:13:47Speaker 5: And for a lot of folks, especially with wear, groceries
- 1:13:50Speaker 5: and gas and rent, and they're just rolling rolled the dice, right,
- 1:13:53Speaker 5: because where are you going to get it from? You
- 1:13:54Speaker 5: cannot get blood from a stone.
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: But the crazy thing is when you think about that
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: is one hundred dollars a month. And I'm not trying
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: to belittle the fact that you know it's eighty five
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: hundred bucks a month. You know you do that over
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: a year, that's another thirteen hundred dollars. She's looking at
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: thirty two thousand dollars in hospital bills. I know that
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: she will wind up go to collections for you know,
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: isn't that The number one reason people go to bank
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: bankruptcy now is because of metapode. Yeah, I mean they're going.
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: They will go. They will I mean they will do this,
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: They will send her collections if she doesn't pay. Some
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: of these people will work out payment plans or a
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: long period of time, but some won't.
- 1:14:25Speaker 8: Yeah, you can work out a payment plan usually, and sometimes,
- 1:14:29Speaker 8: you know, sometimes we can negotiate a bill to help somebody.
- 1:14:32Speaker 8: But as far as walking away with anything other than
- 1:14:35Speaker 8: getting your bill paid or getting your bill knocked way down,
- 1:14:38Speaker 8: it's very difficult now, and the hospitals.
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: Hospitals are more difficult.
- 1:14:41Speaker 8: Than most most medical providers to deal with the first
- 1:14:43Speaker 8: bills cut a text.
- 1:14:44Speaker 4: He with the same insurance company I have said. They
- 1:14:47Speaker 4: also did everything they could to talk him out of
- 1:14:50Speaker 4: getting uninsured motors.
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: That's terrible. That's terrible.
- 1:14:55Speaker 8: Maybe an agent would would call in or text in
- 1:14:58Speaker 8: and say why they why they would do that. I
- 1:15:00Speaker 8: assume they're getting some kind of compensation for the policies
- 1:15:04Speaker 8: that they write. And maybe they don't get compensation for
- 1:15:07Speaker 8: uninsured motors coverage and they get it for other coverages.
- 1:15:09Speaker 8: I don't know, but it's just wrong to be telling people.
- 1:15:12Speaker 5: If this state is full of uninsured motorists, I think
- 1:15:15Speaker 5: that's part of the reason why it saves them money
- 1:15:17Speaker 5: in the end.
- 1:15:17Speaker 8: If the problem is in this state people don't have
- 1:15:20Speaker 8: to have insurance to pay for other people's injuries when
- 1:15:22Speaker 8: they cause a car accident, that's the problem.
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: Do we know a couple of things? Do we know
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: for do we know whether or not the tenth k
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: is going to repair her car? It wasn't even an issue.
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: I assume it is.
- 1:15:34Speaker 8: Or car will get repaired at least so, and maybe
- 1:15:36Speaker 8: she has collision coverage on our car. If she has
- 1:15:38Speaker 8: collision coverage on her car, then that'll repair it.
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: And then one other thing too, is this this? I mean, like,
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: so we've talked about this in this you said in
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: this state. You've said in this state a number of times. Right,
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: Florida is one of the worst states for auto insurance
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: policies and auto insurance purchases.
- 1:15:52Speaker 3: Is it not?
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: Why? Why is it so bad here? And in other
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: parts of the US It isn't like this? Why does
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: that happen? Well? Part of it.
- 1:15:59Speaker 8: And we've been trying to get this change for many,
- 1:16:01Speaker 8: many years to require people to buy insurance that if
- 1:16:04Speaker 8: you cause an accident and it pay for someone else's
- 1:16:06Speaker 8: injuries that you cause. And the problem is, the insurance
- 1:16:10Speaker 8: industry knows that there's a certain segment of the folks
- 1:16:13Speaker 8: that drive that are going to cause the accidents. They
- 1:16:15Speaker 8: know this from their actuary business, and they don't want
- 1:16:18Speaker 8: to be insuring those people when they cause somebody else's injuries.
- 1:16:21Speaker 8: They're required to insure them when they cause damage to
- 1:16:24Speaker 8: someone else's car, but not their injuries. And the insurance
- 1:16:27Speaker 8: industry just didn't want to change it. And the other
- 1:16:30Speaker 8: issue is, and you would think they'd want to change
- 1:16:32Speaker 8: it because they get more money in premiums, But the
- 1:16:34Speaker 8: other issue is if they do change it, it could
- 1:16:37Speaker 8: increase the cost of everybody's insurance. If you require everybody
- 1:16:41Speaker 8: to have insurance that pays for someone else's injuries and
- 1:16:44Speaker 8: damages when you cause a crash, if you required it,
- 1:16:47Speaker 8: it would raise their insurance rates. And politicians don't want
- 1:16:50Speaker 8: to be getting a mail piece from an opponent that says,
- 1:16:55Speaker 8: this politician raised your insurance rates, right, they're hesitant to
- 1:16:58Speaker 8: do it for that.
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: Really, that really is the starting point, though, right, you
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: have to find politicians that will forward legislation that really
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: does help the customers in Florida. And if you don't
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: do that, if you don't find out that's what they
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: stand for. Which is an odd question to ask someone
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: running for office, considering all the other questions that could
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: be valid, but that we hear so many horror stories
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: about this kind of thing valid.
- 1:17:19Speaker 5: Yeah, Glenn, it's terrifying to read our texting service right now.
- 1:17:22Speaker 5: How many customers along with with Jack and their insurance
- 1:17:26Speaker 5: company told that they didn't need uninsured motors coverage because
- 1:17:29Speaker 5: they have health insurance. They insisted because of Glenn also
- 1:17:32Speaker 5: tried to add my son as a member of my
- 1:17:34Speaker 5: household and they said I didn't need to do that.
- 1:17:36Speaker 8: Yeah, it's it's a bad situation, you know, the not
- 1:17:40Speaker 8: needing uninsured motors coverage.
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: You need it.
- 1:17:43Speaker 8: What you don't necessarily need if you have health insurance
- 1:17:46Speaker 8: is something extra called medical payments coverage. It's extra coverage.
- 1:17:49Speaker 8: You could buy your own insurance pace up to ten
- 1:17:52Speaker 8: thousand of your first medical bills. That's that's why it's
- 1:17:54Speaker 8: called no fault. Whether it's fault or not, your own
- 1:17:56Speaker 8: insurance will pay ten thousand dollars. But you could buy
- 1:17:59Speaker 8: extra insurance to pay more than ten thousand. That's called
- 1:18:01Speaker 8: medical payments coverage. And if you have health insurance, you
- 1:18:04Speaker 8: probably don't need medical payments coverage, but you do need
- 1:18:07Speaker 8: uninsured motors coverage for sure.
- 1:18:08Speaker 3: Wow.
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: Yeah, well, always good seeing you as always man. That's

- 1:18:27Speaker 8: I've heard of it, but I don't remember seeing it.
- 1:18:29Speaker 8: So how does that play well?
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: It fulfills a bunch of racial stereotymes when it comes
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: to Queen Latifa. It's a movie.
- 1:18:39Speaker 14: For you.

- 1:22:18Speaker 4: as well.
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: Can I ask you guys a question? I mean have Okay,
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: so I think I know almost everybody here except for
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: Deborah's scenario because deb has lived in a couple of places,
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: whereas Debt Jack has been in the same place like
- 1:22:30Speaker 2: twenty five years, twenty years my house.
- 1:22:32Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, that would be twenty seven years as
- 1:22:36Speaker 4: of this week.
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: Twenty seven years. Wow. Now, Ross, you've lived in the house.
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: You've been now with Olivia for quite a while. But
- 1:22:41Speaker 2: is this the longest you've lived in one spot?
- 1:22:43Speaker 3: Oh?
- 1:22:44Speaker 2: Wow, might be yeah, it might be so three years,
- 1:22:47Speaker 2: three four years in that spot now, No, dude, I've
- 1:22:49Speaker 2: been there for like seven seven years. Okay, I mean
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: I can't remember, buddy that then Oh sorry, Ken, I
- 1:22:54Speaker 2: got oddly defensive here. And then Deborah, you are in
- 1:22:57Speaker 2: your spot now that you've been in it, that it's
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: something be that long? Like five years, four years, six
- 1:23:01Speaker 2: six years? God, yeah, it's hide the calendar for me
- 1:23:07Speaker 2: or something. You though we bought it in November of
- 1:23:09Speaker 2: twenty twenty did you really? God? I thought it was
- 1:23:12Speaker 2: like twenty twenty two for some reason. No. So, do
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: you have a good relationship with your neighbor? Do you
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: know your neighbors all that?
- 1:23:18Speaker 15: Well?
- 1:23:18Speaker 5: Oh yeah, we've got our neighbor's phone numbers. At one time,
- 1:23:21Speaker 5: we yeah, had keys to each other's home.
- 1:23:23Speaker 2: Okay, good, I'm glad you said that. Jack. How about you? Oh?
- 1:23:26Speaker 4: Hell no, no, okay, I don't know I know him.
- 1:23:29Speaker 4: I talked to him, but I ain't giving them an ross.
- 1:23:32Speaker 2: Have you ever had a relationship with a neighbor where
- 1:23:34Speaker 2: you had access to their house? Yeah, not access to
- 1:23:37Speaker 2: their house, I mean, but in other words, you were
- 1:23:39Speaker 2: close enough where you could just kind of come and go. No, okay,
- 1:23:42Speaker 2: I've never stepped foot in either one of my neighbor's home. Okay.
- 1:23:44Speaker 2: I lived in a place over here, and that's where
- 1:23:46Speaker 2: I met Code Black, And of course we've talked about this.
- 1:23:48Speaker 5: Yeah, we know your relationship started twenty two years ago.
- 1:23:52Speaker 2: Today, our families are so close. Actually, behind our initial fence,
- 1:23:57Speaker 2: we had a gate installed so we could go back
- 1:24:00Speaker 2: and forth to each other's houses behind the gates. So
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: you guys back dowar at each other. Your word's not mine,
- 1:24:08Speaker 2: he does point. I did not say that. He didn't
- 1:24:11Speaker 2: need to story. A story out of Leesburg, Florida is
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: kind of interesting. I don't know if you guys saw this.
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: Lake County man is accused of getting into a fight
- 1:24:18Speaker 2: with a neighbor over something that's pretty gnarly. Now, these
- 1:24:22Speaker 2: two guys had an open door policy. They had an
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: agreement between the two of them that they could enter
- 1:24:27Speaker 2: each other's homes without knocking. That's irresponsible on both of
- 1:24:31Speaker 2: their parts. Okay, so Trey, I want to I'm gonna
- 1:24:34Speaker 2: try this name, all right, Uh Trey to Clote. I
- 1:24:38Speaker 2: think is the guy's name. D E C l o
- 1:24:41Speaker 2: E d T. I mean, it's a whole bunchet. It
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: sounds like somebody misspelled it, but it's right. He got
- 1:24:47Speaker 2: arrested over this weekend because he had a little problem
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: with his neighbor, the guy that he has access to
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: his house. Apparently that neighbor's dogm just took it upon
- 1:24:58Speaker 2: himself to just drop deuce after in this guy Tray's
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: front yard. Tray finally got tired of it, and he
- 1:25:05Speaker 2: walked around the yard and he collected said deuces, and
- 1:25:09Speaker 2: then he walked up to this guy's house, walked in
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: the house, and then overhand through the bag of dew
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: at this guy's head too far, he goes, that's assault.
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: He goes, I've complained about the dogs essing in my yard.
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: I said something to this old lady about his old
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: lady about it. She said she would pick it up.
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: Four hours later, it's still there. I sat on the
- 1:25:29Speaker 2: edge of the driveway right there, waiting four hours. The
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: neighbor tells a different story. He said he just opened
- 1:25:36Speaker 2: up the door of his home, shouted and then threw
- 1:25:38Speaker 2: the feces at him, hitting him. That led to a
- 1:25:43Speaker 2: physical fight, which must have been great, smelling, awesome. Take
- 1:25:47Speaker 2: it outside the door. This gets better, by the way,
- 1:25:52Speaker 2: of course it doesn't. This led to a physical fight
- 1:25:55Speaker 2: as the victim tried to get to cloat off his property.
- 1:25:58Speaker 2: According to the arrested day Clote, pick up a struck
- 1:26:02Speaker 2: the victim in a head, then grabbed a scooter and
- 1:26:05Speaker 2: lifted it over his head and threatened the victim with
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: a scooters. I think it's like a razor scooter.
- 1:26:11Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: Ude, they heard they can chop an ankle and.
- 1:26:14Speaker 4: They swing real fast. You hold them by the handle.
- 1:26:16Speaker 4: You can swing that thing around you getting cranked up
- 1:26:18Speaker 4: like a nunchuk.
- 1:26:21Speaker 2: It's modern day mace. Now, look, I don't obviously I don't.
- 1:26:25Speaker 2: I don't say that you should be opening people's doors
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: and chucking you know, bags of do But you know,
- 1:26:29Speaker 2: this is that thing we talked about with Scott Maxwell
- 1:26:31Speaker 2: the other day a little bit. Obviously this is different
- 1:26:33Speaker 2: than that, because that whole thing was can you put
- 1:26:36Speaker 2: the poop in somebody else's trash can? And that's a
- 1:26:39Speaker 2: debate that can go on, but I think we can
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: all agree that if somebody has a dog and it
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: goes in your yard, you should clean that up. And
- 1:26:47Speaker 2: here's the thing. I understand this guy's anger. I wouldn't
- 1:26:50Speaker 2: have opened the door and thrown it, but I definitely
- 1:26:53Speaker 2: would have sat it on him. I definitely would have
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: sat it on dude's porch. I would have had no
- 1:26:57Speaker 2: problem doing that. Okay.
- 1:26:58Speaker 5: I have to ask, though, are you always diligent outside
- 1:27:01Speaker 5: of your own yard with picking up after sad.
- 1:27:05Speaker 2: Because we had to take her to the beach this
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: week and at that condo complex they had the back
- 1:27:09Speaker 2: set up, but we take them everywhere we go. That's
- 1:27:11Speaker 2: the one thing, one thousand percent I would never do
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: with the little dog. It was allow my little dog,
- 1:27:17Speaker 2: any dog of mine too, in somebody else's yards, so
- 1:27:19Speaker 2: if they could step on it or their kids could
- 1:27:21Speaker 2: fall in it. Man, that is that is so disrespectful,
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: I know.
- 1:27:24Speaker 5: But for a lot of people with little dogs, the
- 1:27:26Speaker 5: assumption is made that it's too small to be seen.
- 1:27:29Speaker 5: That's not really that much of a problem, like it
- 1:27:31Speaker 5: is with you have a big dog.
- 1:27:32Speaker 2: But Pooh is Pooh? Who it is pooh quick poll.
- 1:27:35Speaker 2: Who believes Jim one time? That one time? Ever know
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: what happens. Let me give you a heads up of
- 1:27:49Speaker 2: how serious I'm about this. Like, I haven't always had
- 1:27:52Speaker 2: an eleven pound dog. I had a dog that weighed you, right.
- 1:27:56Speaker 2: And with that dog weighed you went. Let me tell you,
- 1:27:58Speaker 2: it was like you going. So when I had to
- 1:28:00Speaker 2: been down and pick that up, that was like picking
- 1:28:03Speaker 2: up like a rabbit had been dead for a minute.
- 1:28:11Speaker 2: That was a lot dog, no pun intended. Yeah, but
- 1:28:16Speaker 2: I so what I'm saying is if I picked that
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: big giant sometimes loose up and sometimes I had to
- 1:28:21Speaker 2: kind of scoop it into the bag. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: because when things didn't hit the stomach just right, he
- 1:28:27Speaker 2: didn't really care. But I had to get it. I've
- 1:28:29Speaker 2: wiped the grass and bald one part to get it up.
- 1:28:32Speaker 2: That is commitment. I never do that, dude. I hated
- 1:28:35Speaker 2: so much if somebody did that in if somebody did
- 1:28:38Speaker 2: that in my yard, I mean you guess you guys
- 1:28:40Speaker 2: remember when the dude stopped in front of my yard
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: and was going to the bathroom my yard. Just a guy,
- 1:28:44Speaker 2: you're in any of my yard? And I lost my mind.
- 1:28:46Speaker 5: Oh well that's yeah. I mean it's one thing when
- 1:28:48Speaker 5: you're an animal.
- 1:28:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean Jack, you obviously did that when Gee
- 1:28:51Speaker 2: was around, right, you picked that up every single time? Yes, sir, Yeah,
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: you gotta. It's so disrespectful. I probably pick up. Now,
- 1:28:57Speaker 2: this is gonna for some judgment. So like a lot
- 1:29:03Speaker 2: of times my dogs go in my backyard. Okay, oh yeah,
- 1:29:07Speaker 2: that's my backyard it is. But I also have a kid. Yeah,
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: you gotta pick it up. So I pick it up
- 1:29:12Speaker 2: probably once every like three to four weeks. What dude,
- 1:29:15Speaker 2: what's a whole is that? Okay? So I meant to say,
- 1:29:19Speaker 2: like three or four days? Man, did I say we
- 1:29:22Speaker 2: you leave like a poop obstacle course in your backyard? Hey, Miles,
- 1:29:26Speaker 2: can he get through it like he's doing poop core.
- 1:29:28Speaker 2: There's not. It's not poop gar cook gar. No, he's
- 1:29:33Speaker 2: not doing that poop guard. As long as I can
- 1:29:37Speaker 2: figure out how to spell it, it's p O P
- 1:29:41Speaker 2: P A c O r P. Maybe I think I
- 1:29:44Speaker 2: don't know, Yeah, like twenty eight little dog a little Yeah,
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: I guess when I say it out loud, yeah, it's
- 1:29:52Speaker 2: like a bunch of little topsy rolls. Dude, you gotta
- 1:29:55Speaker 2: be better. Man. I'll try, but there's no garan. There's
- 1:30:02Speaker 2: a lot of stuff on the front lobe. Yeah. Is
- 1:30:06Speaker 2: Olivia a picker upper? No? No, she's not. No, I
- 1:30:09Speaker 2: I guess we both kind of. My wife is a
- 1:30:12Speaker 2: picker upper. We're hardcore picker uppers in our in our house,
- 1:30:15Speaker 2: we're collectively a three to four weeks like all right, yeah,
- 1:30:18Speaker 2: we got to do this, dude. I used to have
- 1:30:20Speaker 2: to buy those those blue bags in bulk because we
- 1:30:24Speaker 2: had two dogs and one was added and sometimes Dexter
- 1:30:27Speaker 2: would like he was Sometimes he'd have two bad days
- 1:30:30Speaker 2: and those were fun.
- 1:30:31Speaker 5: Oh yeah, those are the times when you tie him
- 1:30:34Speaker 5: to their collar and say, no, you bring it, carry
- 1:30:37Speaker 5: you carry it. I don't want to carry this, all right?

- 1:32:26Speaker 2: seven or no, coming up August twenty eighth. I believe
- 1:32:29Speaker 2: it's getting a really good time. It's a Friday, and
- 1:32:31Speaker 2: you will be there.
- 1:32:32Speaker 4: You and Janna from Excel and Magic co hosting this
- 1:32:35Speaker 4: event over one hundred Central Florida stop chefs, restaurants, and

- 1:32:44Speaker 4: Second Harvest Food Bank and the Coalition for the Homeless
- 1:32:46Speaker 4: the Central Florida.

- 1:32:50Speaker 2: you can get your tickets there and come on in
- 1:32:52Speaker 2: and drink and eat all damn night long. Good entertainment too,
- 1:32:55Speaker 2: by the way, and it's the same end that was
- 1:32:56Speaker 2: there last year. Yeah, oh that's gonna be great.
- 1:32:59Speaker 4: So the link to if you want more info, it's
- 1:33:01Speaker 4: Taste CFL dot org. That's Taste CFL dot org. But
- 1:33:07Speaker 4: shout out again the Ocean Prime uh for what they
- 1:33:11Speaker 4: The food they provided today was just magnificent. Ross had
- 1:33:14Speaker 4: his like an hour after we ate ours, and he
- 1:33:16Speaker 4: was still raving about it.
- 1:33:18Speaker 2: Yeah. That dessert. I haven't had that yet, don't because
- 1:33:21Speaker 2: I'm out of my sugar things, so I haven't had
- 1:33:23Speaker 2: a bite yet. I'll probably have one bite tonight.
- 1:33:25Speaker 4: Chocolate peanut butter pie peanut butter mouse bittersweet chocolate ganash.
- 1:33:30Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, okay, all that's fine. Yeah yeah. And by
- 1:33:32Speaker 2: the way, they brought a bunch of Dimi gloss that
- 1:33:35Speaker 2: nobody used and I'm taking that home. But if you
- 1:33:38Speaker 2: had to charge for that pint of demi gloss they
- 1:33:39Speaker 2: brought it, it's probably seventy bucks. It takes forever to
- 1:33:42Speaker 2: make that much demi looss. So the person cleaning up
- 1:33:45Speaker 2: should not throw that away. Should not throw that away, dude,
- 1:33:48Speaker 2: They should not throw that away. Do you know how
- 1:33:52Speaker 2: much beefstock it takes to make like a pint of demigloss?
- 1:33:55Speaker 2: You have no idea, You're right, I don't. I was
- 1:33:58Speaker 2: just cleaning up that little pint right there. That little
- 1:34:01Speaker 2: pint probably took ten hours to make, just to give
- 1:34:06Speaker 2: you an idea. Interesting, Yeah yeah, no, Joe. Yeah, you're
- 1:34:08Speaker 2: boiling down gallon after gallon after gallon of beef stock
- 1:34:12Speaker 2: to get into that into that syrup stage right there,
- 1:34:15Speaker 2: and it just takes ass loads of it to do. Well.
- 1:34:18Speaker 4: They did it right at Ocean Prime, but I did not.
- 1:34:22Speaker 4: It's sitting right outside. Jim thinks it's the currency of
- 1:34:26Speaker 4: the future. Yeah, that is it. Dip your finger in
- 1:34:29Speaker 4: here and you tell me on the steak. It was wonderful.
- 1:34:31Speaker 4: The filet was perfectly cooked. The bacon cream spinach I
- 1:34:34Speaker 4: only took a little bit. I'm like, I'm not eating spindach.
- 1:34:36Speaker 4: I want the hallowpay you all grout and potatoes. I
- 1:34:39Speaker 4: went back for the bacon cream spinach as well. All
- 1:34:41Speaker 4: of it was good man and uh so awesome. And
- 1:34:44Speaker 4: we'll see those guys in just a few fridays for
- 1:34:46Speaker 4: sure at taste. Yeah, welcome back.
- 1:34:49Speaker 2: I'm Jim, There's Deb Hello, Jan Yep and Ross Belie yourself.
- 1:34:53Speaker 13: Uh.
- 1:34:53Speaker 2: Ross, we haven't seen you in a little bit. And
- 1:34:56Speaker 2: when we didn't see you last time, you were taking
- 1:34:59Speaker 2: care of something that isn't like one of the is
- 1:35:02Speaker 2: it one of the most fun topics to talk about.
- 1:35:04Speaker 2: But I think a lot of people like to hear
- 1:35:07Speaker 2: our takes on stuff like this and like to kind
- 1:35:09Speaker 2: of have our lives parallel things happening in their lives.
- 1:35:12Speaker 2: We've all dealt with this before, but there was my
- 1:35:16Speaker 2: first time ever this. Yeah, and I do care to
- 1:35:19Speaker 2: share because we've talked about my dogs on this program
- 1:35:24Speaker 2: plenty of times. Specifically, we've talked about one dog named Hazel,
- 1:35:28Speaker 2: which is a real four out of ten and she's
- 1:35:30Speaker 2: working on it right, a real solid four out of ten.
- 1:35:34Speaker 2: And I had another dog that was a straight up
- 1:35:36Speaker 2: fourteen out of ten. That other dog, her name was
- 1:35:42Speaker 2: to tell you where this is going, was Zelda. And
- 1:35:48Speaker 2: I said goodbye to her last Friday. And boy was
- 1:35:54Speaker 2: it even harder than I thought, because how old was
- 1:35:57Speaker 2: she when you guys? Seventeen? So you you had her
- 1:36:00Speaker 2: the entire time. My wife has had her for sixteen
- 1:36:03Speaker 2: out of those seventeen years, she was a parking lot dog.
- 1:36:06Speaker 2: Oh wow, she's got a founder in the parking lot.
- 1:36:08Speaker 2: Uh literally, lite, Yeah, found her in a parking lot.
- 1:36:12Speaker 2: She was a barista and she was like, oh no,
- 1:36:15Speaker 2: we've got to find the owners, and let's just keep
- 1:36:20Speaker 2: her thousand until we do. Yeah, yeah, and I won't
- 1:36:22Speaker 2: really like look hard. So and that happened sixteen years ago.
- 1:36:27Speaker 2: Half her life, yeah, dude, half her life. She's had
- 1:36:30Speaker 2: this dog. It was very We had two very different
- 1:36:33Speaker 2: experiences because I can't help but correlate that dog with
- 1:36:39Speaker 2: my wife. In fact, I think the hardest thing to say, uh,
- 1:36:44Speaker 2: the hardest thing to know about the passing of my dog,
- 1:36:47Speaker 2: Zelda this last Friday was that she was the only
- 1:36:52Speaker 2: other constant in my marriage. Wow. Yeah, she was the
- 1:36:57Speaker 2: only other entity other than my wife that has been
- 1:37:01Speaker 2: here since moment one, second one, There's always been a
- 1:37:05Speaker 2: Zelda when it comes to Olivia and Ros. Did she
- 1:37:08Speaker 2: like you immediately? Did Zelda kind of immediately take to you?
- 1:37:11Speaker 2: Or did it take a minute for her to warm
- 1:37:13Speaker 2: up to you because you're weird? I would say that
- 1:37:18Speaker 2: every now and then. Yeah, but it ebbs and flows. Jack,
- 1:37:21Speaker 2: today's a good day, so you're welcome. I U. Yes,
- 1:37:26Speaker 2: that dog fell in love with me, I would say,
- 1:37:28Speaker 2: pretty much as fast as anybody that she ever met
- 1:37:32Speaker 2: after me. In fact, she's also one of the reasons
- 1:37:35Speaker 2: why I fell in love with my wife because I
- 1:37:39Speaker 2: one of the first times talking, flirting, crushing, you know,
- 1:37:42Speaker 2: having a crush on this girl at work. Yeah, she's
- 1:37:45Speaker 2: talking to me about her dog and she goes, I
- 1:37:47Speaker 2: have the best dog, It's the perfect dog. And I
- 1:37:49Speaker 2: go a red flag. Everyone like to me, I'm like,
- 1:37:53Speaker 2: everyone thinks their dog is the best.
- 1:37:55Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:37:55Speaker 2: Yeah, And then I met the dog and I went,
- 1:37:58Speaker 2: oh my god, she wasn't. I'm the red flag. Yeah,
- 1:38:01Speaker 2: I'm the red flag. I should trust and listen. This
- 1:38:05Speaker 2: is the best dog. And out of all the dogs
- 1:38:08Speaker 2: that I've ever had in my life, it is unequivocally true.
- 1:38:11Speaker 2: Zelda was the best dog I've ever lived with, I've
- 1:38:15Speaker 2: ever had. Uh, it was just so good. But these
- 1:38:20Speaker 2: last three years she was diagnosed with cancer. I remember
- 1:38:23Speaker 2: telling you guys on air, like she got she's been
- 1:38:26Speaker 2: diagnosed with I believe a type of like bell bell
- 1:38:30Speaker 2: bell cancer, Ben Pepper Bell pep know Peper, No, it's bell,
- 1:38:38Speaker 2: It's like a type of skin cancer. And the vet
- 1:38:41Speaker 2: told us it could be three months, it could be
- 1:38:43Speaker 2: three years, and it was three years. Yeah, crazy right, Uh,
- 1:38:49Speaker 2: And you guys made the choice and you used laps
- 1:38:50Speaker 2: of laps of love. We had the vet come over
- 1:38:54Speaker 2: and then there's it's two shots. The first shot is
- 1:38:58Speaker 2: a yeah, just a relaxer, and then the second shot
- 1:39:02Speaker 2: the shot my wife and I I mean definitely wet
- 1:39:07Speaker 2: in our living room as the whole thing was happening,
- 1:39:11Speaker 2: and it and it really felt like just such an
- 1:39:15Speaker 2: ending of a chapter or an era, like nothing has
- 1:39:20Speaker 2: ever closed before. And you've never experienced this before, not
- 1:39:25Speaker 2: as an adult. I've had dogs past, but I was
- 1:39:27Speaker 2: too young and dumb to really like feel I guess
- 1:39:32Speaker 2: I don't know. Man, it's such a superpower being that
- 1:39:35Speaker 2: young and dumb. And then, uh, how did this? Obviously
- 1:39:37Speaker 2: your wife was very emotional, but how did this affect Miles,
- 1:39:42Speaker 2: my son? I still don't know if he even noticed
- 1:39:47Speaker 2: that he could not? Probably the best though, right, I
- 1:39:51Speaker 2: guess that's the best case scenario. But did he play
- 1:39:54Speaker 2: with the dogs very much? Did they play with him?
- 1:39:55Speaker 2: I mean did they? Yes? But they It's complicated. Dogs
- 1:39:59Speaker 2: have a weird relationship with kids. Let me tell you
- 1:40:02Speaker 2: what my grandsons were all the time, you know, and
- 1:40:05Speaker 2: my little dog still can't figure it out. And then
- 1:40:08Speaker 2: we have a friend that has a daughter who's like,
- 1:40:10Speaker 2: I think ten or eleven or something like that, and
- 1:40:12Speaker 2: not a fan of her either. So Hazel has gotten
- 1:40:15Speaker 2: close to my son of like like shown teeth. Yea, yeah,
- 1:40:19Speaker 2: that's the thing. She always shows teeth and doesn't do anything.
- 1:40:23Speaker 2: But it's a hard look. It's it's hard to be
- 1:40:25Speaker 2: around when your dog is threatening to your son and
- 1:40:28Speaker 2: you're like, nothing ever happened, and you guys kept her
- 1:40:31Speaker 2: on property? We did. We buried this dog in our backyard.
- 1:40:36Speaker 2: Did you make a marker or is there any special
- 1:40:38Speaker 2: indication of where she made there is? There is some
- 1:40:41Speaker 2: white rock is underneath God, I hope I can remember
- 1:40:45Speaker 2: the name of this plant. Paulonia. Nope, Nope, that's a drink.
- 1:40:49Speaker 2: Paul Mayra, Paulmyra. There you go, the Hawaiian one, Paula. Yeahria,
- 1:40:57Speaker 2: I thought you catch that in Mexico. Now I did
- 1:41:00Speaker 2: you guys take precautions on how far down and everything,
- 1:41:06Speaker 2: because there are certain things that will you know, that
- 1:41:09Speaker 2: will go that will smell that. Dude, I kind of
- 1:41:11Speaker 2: dug until I saw water. I didn't even think I
- 1:41:14Speaker 2: was going to get to water. But I kind of
- 1:41:15Speaker 2: got to water, did you? I mean, is that even?
- 1:41:19Speaker 2: Is that? Okay? Wow? There was a very epic moment
- 1:41:24Speaker 2: as we're saying goodbye to this chapter of our lives.
- 1:41:27Speaker 2: I mean, this was in a weird way. It was
- 1:41:30Speaker 2: the last little piece of evidence of us first falling
- 1:41:34Speaker 2: in love and dating in those first couple of dates.
- 1:41:36Speaker 2: Is that's what Zelda really embodied for us. And we
- 1:41:43Speaker 2: put her in the ground and we are crying, we're
- 1:41:45Speaker 2: saying goodbye, and I remember, I told you, man, this
- 1:41:48Speaker 2: other dog is a real four out of ten. So
- 1:41:52Speaker 2: we're going, we're saying goodbyes. We have our touching moments.
- 1:41:55Speaker 2: I think my wife even like shares a piece of poetry.
- 1:41:59Speaker 2: That's a real hallmark moment. Buddy, they really are and
- 1:42:04Speaker 2: this family, this event has really solidified that I couldn't
- 1:42:07Speaker 2: agree more with that that dog part of your family.
- 1:42:10Speaker 2: And then my wife turns around, she goes to the
- 1:42:13Speaker 2: to the house. And then I turned around, and I go,
- 1:42:16Speaker 2: where's Hazel. I look over about a foot and a
- 1:42:19Speaker 2: half taking a dump right from the grave, right right
- 1:42:23Speaker 2: right to the left of the grave. Had to pick
- 1:42:26Speaker 2: it up. That's the one you picked up. That's the
- 1:42:29Speaker 2: one I picked up, all right? And uh but yeah,
- 1:42:32Speaker 2: just saying goodbye to a dog is never easy, and
- 1:42:36Speaker 2: it only gets harder, I think the older you get,
- 1:42:39Speaker 2: because when I was young, I've had this event in
- 1:42:41Speaker 2: my life, but it wasn't my dog. It wasn't my responsibility.
- 1:42:46Speaker 2: When those dogs lungs are on your shoulders and that
- 1:42:50Speaker 2: day happens, man, it is. And by the way, you
- 1:42:55Speaker 2: talk about dogs being you know, animals being you know,
- 1:42:58Speaker 2: part of your family, cats kind of fall into that
- 1:43:00Speaker 2: same thing as well. I'm not gonna I'm gonna I'm
- 1:43:01Speaker 2: not gonna rull cats out, but I'm gonna tell you
- 1:43:03Speaker 2: straight up. And if this may sound cold, I cried
- 1:43:06Speaker 2: way more over my dog's death than at least two
- 1:43:09Speaker 2: of my relatives. Like way more and why do you?
- 1:43:13Speaker 2: And I asked, I mean, like way more. I've got
- 1:43:15Speaker 2: friends in the medical field. I asked. I'm like, go,
- 1:43:17Speaker 2: why is this him? I had one of my doctor friends.
- 1:43:21Speaker 2: It's not a flex, It's just a childhood friend that
- 1:43:23Speaker 2: was smarter than me. And he went ahead and basically said,
- 1:43:29Speaker 2: he goes, yeah, man, when I put down my dog,
- 1:43:31Speaker 2: I was like, this is why is this harder than
- 1:43:33Speaker 2: with humans?
- 1:43:34Speaker 5: Because you don't get unconditional love from humans and it's just.
- 1:43:37Speaker 2: This fure off the brick love. Yeah, I love you
- 1:43:41Speaker 2: from the moment.
- 1:43:42Speaker 5: You could be coming out of the bathroom door and
- 1:43:44Speaker 5: they will act like they haven't seen you in a week. Yeah,
- 1:43:46Speaker 5: You'll walk in the door at the end of the
- 1:43:48Speaker 5: day and your spouse will be like.
- 1:43:52Speaker 2: That happens in the morning and every time. The dog
- 1:43:54Speaker 2: never does that. Your souse only does that occasionally. Oh man,
- 1:43:58Speaker 2: that's my name now.
- 1:44:00Speaker 18: Oh.
- 1:44:03Speaker 2: My dad used to tell me that his mom used
- 1:44:04Speaker 2: to get so pissed off Adham that he thought his
- 1:44:07Speaker 2: name was damn it Jimmy for the first five years
- 1:44:10Speaker 2: of his life.
- 1:44:11Speaker 5: I learned that my father's name was never Sam. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 1:44:15Speaker 5: it just happened to be his army buddies called him
- 1:44:17Speaker 5: as sorry. Oh really, oh yeah wow, that's how we
- 1:44:21Speaker 5: ended up being called Sam.
- 1:44:22Speaker 2: I always thought his name was Sam. His name was Tony.
- 1:44:27Speaker 2: I'm just happy that that ended with some level of charm.
- 1:44:30Speaker 2: I thought your dad was just a straight I thought, yeah,
- 1:44:35Speaker 2: fraud double Jeopardy all right, four seven nine text seven
- 1:44:40Speaker 2: seven zero three one, Load him up, guys. Trivia's next.
- 1:44:54Speaker 20: Heys Crew, Michael Pete checking in. There's you guys were
- 1:44:57Speaker 20: talking about the unconditional love of the dog. There's an
- 1:45:01Speaker 20: old saying is you lock your wife in the trunk
- 1:45:03Speaker 20: of a car for two hours, and lock your dog
- 1:45:05Speaker 20: in the trunk of a two hour Guess which ones
- 1:45:07Speaker 20: happened to see when you let him out.
- 1:45:09Speaker 2: Love you guys.
- 1:45:09Speaker 14: By Culber Crew. If you want to know who loves
- 1:45:14Speaker 14: you more, your spouse or your dog, lock them both
- 1:45:16Speaker 14: in your trunk, and after half an hour, when you
- 1:45:19Speaker 14: open the trunk up, see who's happy to.
- 1:45:20Speaker 7: See you, okay, we got to get one more so,
- 1:45:25Speaker 7: I don't know if you were aware, but a little
- 1:45:26Speaker 7: bit of rock history.
- 1:45:27Speaker 2: He was made last night and around upstate New York.
- 1:45:30Speaker 7: Richie Blackmore got have been playing with Deep Purple for
- 1:45:32Speaker 7: the first time in over thirty years.
- 1:45:36Speaker 2: They did it.
- 1:45:36Speaker 7: He came up to the encore. They did, of course
- 1:45:38Speaker 7: Smoke on the Water. He's eighty one, lost of Deep
- 1:45:42Speaker 7: Purples in their seventies and kind of a parent when
- 1:45:46Speaker 7: you hear this version of Smoke on the Water. But
- 1:45:49Speaker 7: still good to see that they buried the hatchet and
- 1:45:51Speaker 7: played together for one last time.
- 1:45:52Speaker 2: Yeah. Man, that's cool. I've read that this morning. Yeah,
- 1:45:55Speaker 2: that's a real cool like Zennario there. Richard Blackmore was
- 1:45:59Speaker 2: considered one of the original guitar heroes.
- 1:46:01Speaker 4: The only person to fill in for Richie Blackmore because
- 1:46:06Speaker 4: he had a reaction to a shot. There was only
- 1:46:09Speaker 4: one person that was a nineteen year old guitar player
- 1:46:11Speaker 4: named Christopher Cross.
- 1:46:12Speaker 2: Oh no way, really, how funny you did an interview
- 1:46:15Speaker 2: with him for I talked to him earlier this week.
- 1:46:17Speaker 2: How crazy is that?
- 1:46:18Speaker 4: Is it gonna be the Sunday No, I need to
- 1:46:20Speaker 4: do some editing, probably a week or two.
- 1:46:22Speaker 2: Very nice. I will check that out coming up soon.
- 1:46:24Speaker 2: Welcome back on Jim. There's deb Hello Jack, Hi the
- 1:46:26Speaker 2: Anne Ross.
- 1:46:27Speaker 3: It's true.
- 1:46:27Speaker 2: Jack has the Jackie second. What's in there?

- 1:48:03Speaker 2: You know the deal. This is a real easy game.
- 1:48:05Speaker 2: Got a question here for you have four answers. One
- 1:48:07Speaker 2: of these answers is not true? What if you find
- 1:48:09Speaker 2: that one?
- 1:48:09Speaker 7: Though?
- 1:48:10Speaker 2: Buddy? I will send you over to see Jackie's got
- 1:48:11Speaker 2: some nice stuff in the Jackie Sack. You can pick
- 1:48:13Speaker 2: something nice for yourself. Are you ready? All right, Budy,
- 1:48:17Speaker 2: here we go on this day, On this day in
- 1:48:20Speaker 2: eighteen ninety nine. Eighteen ninety nine, English filmmaker known as
- 1:48:27Speaker 2: the Master of Suspense, Alfred Hitchcock. His impact on cinema
- 1:48:31Speaker 2: was seismic. Even his silhouette is famous. He's got a
- 1:48:35Speaker 2: complete Psycho. Alfred Hitchcock is the answer. Alfred Hitchcock born
- 1:48:40Speaker 2: on this day. Here three fun facts about Alfred and
- 1:48:43Speaker 2: one lie that's for the birds. Oh good one, all right,
- 1:48:46Speaker 2: very good? All right, Chris, we're talking about Alfred Hitchcock.
- 1:48:49Speaker 2: Which one of these is not true? Number one, despite
- 1:48:52Speaker 2: five dominations, Hitchcock never won an oscar. Number two, Hitchcock's
- 1:48:57Speaker 2: masterpiece Psycho was the very first movie to show a
- 1:49:01Speaker 2: woman showering. Number three, Hitchcock never learned how to drive
- 1:49:05Speaker 2: a car.
- 1:49:06Speaker 18: Or.
- 1:49:07Speaker 2: Lastly, one of Hitchcock's favorite guilty pleasure movies was Smoky
- 1:49:11Speaker 2: in the Bandit. Which of those is a lie?
- 1:49:16Speaker 3: Uh?
- 1:49:17Speaker 8: The last one?
- 1:49:18Speaker 2: No, that's absolutely true. Oddly enough, one of Alfred Hitchcock's
- 1:49:22Speaker 2: favorite movies as in his later years, was Smoky in
- 1:49:27Speaker 2: the Bandit. You like what you like? Yeah, exactly classic.
- 1:49:32Speaker 2: I had no idea. I've never heard that one. All right, Jack,
- 1:49:34Speaker 2: and do we have next?
- 1:49:35Speaker 4: Oh? You picked the number dad, one, two, four or five?
- 1:49:38Speaker 4: Let's go four? That would be Alexander.
- 1:49:41Speaker 2: Alexander, How you doing, buddy? Not too bad at all, buddy.
- 1:49:45Speaker 2: We're talking about Alfred Hitchcock. Which one of these is
- 1:49:47Speaker 2: not true? Number one, Despite five nominations, Hitchcock never won
- 1:49:50Speaker 2: an oscar. Number two, Hitchcock's masterpiece Psycho was the first
- 1:49:54Speaker 2: movie to show a woman showering. Or lastly, Hitchcock never
- 1:49:57Speaker 2: learned how to drive a car. But he's got an oscar.
- 1:50:02Speaker 2: That was a great show.
- 1:50:03Speaker 8: Oscar all day long.
- 1:50:04Speaker 2: No, absolutely never won an oscar. Although being nominated five times,
- 1:50:08Speaker 2: he never won. People that he directed one oscars, but
- 1:50:11Speaker 2: he never won one himself. That's not fair. I think
- 1:50:14Speaker 2: he got a he got one like for lifetime achievement
- 1:50:16Speaker 2: down the road, but never a never a competitive oscar.
- 1:50:19Speaker 2: All right, one, two or five? Though, let's go to
- 1:50:22Speaker 2: that would be Bill, Bill, How you doing all right? Buddy?
- 1:50:26Speaker 2: We're talking talking about Hitchcock. Buddy, Which one of these
- 1:50:29Speaker 2: is not true? You got a fifty to fifty shot here.
- 1:50:31Speaker 2: Number one, Hitchcock's masterpiece Psycho was the first movie to
- 1:50:34Speaker 2: show a woman showering. Or lastly, Hitchcock never learned how
- 1:50:38Speaker 2: to drive a car. Shower? That's the one, buddy, you're
- 1:50:42Speaker 2: a hey, can you tell me what did happen in Psycho?
- 1:50:48Speaker 3: Was that?
- 1:50:49Speaker 2: Which was the very first time it ever happened on film.
- 1:50:56Speaker 2: Let me think, can I guess something about Newton? No,
- 1:51:00Speaker 2: what do you think of Ross? I'm going blood? What
- 1:51:02Speaker 2: do you think, Jack? I thought it was blood? What
- 1:51:04Speaker 2: do you think, deb? I was gonna go at the stabbing.
- 1:51:07Speaker 2: It's the first time you ever saw a toilet flush
- 1:51:10Speaker 2: on film. Oh, hold, you are a winter big dog. Yeah,
- 1:51:15Speaker 2: why'd you let us guess? I'm gonna I actually thought
- 1:51:18Speaker 2: Jack knew. I didn't know. Yeah, it's you did know
- 1:51:21Speaker 2: they used chocolate syrup for the blood. They did for sure,
- 1:51:24Speaker 2: because black and white you couldn't tell. Yeah, but yeah,
- 1:51:26Speaker 2: that was the first time you ever saw a toilet
- 1:51:29Speaker 2: flush on film. Also, it was a misnomer or a
- 1:51:33Speaker 2: misconception for years that that was the first scene that
- 1:51:37Speaker 2: ever had a woman in a shower. But it wasn't.
- 1:51:39Speaker 2: There were movies in the forties that showed women showering.
- 1:51:46Speaker 2: Hitchkak that. I just said that while I burped. I'm sorry.
- 1:51:51Speaker 2: Hitchcock was a really super interesting guy. Here's some other
- 1:51:54Speaker 2: things you may not know, Hope, before we get to
- 1:51:56Speaker 2: the top of the hour, get a theater Thursday coming up.
- 1:51:58Speaker 2: Oh yeah, when he was fine five years old, his
- 1:52:01Speaker 2: father sent him to the police station to be locked
- 1:52:03Speaker 2: up for five minutes for being naughty. That had such
- 1:52:07Speaker 2: an impact on Alfred Hitchcock that from that day on
- 1:52:10Speaker 2: he was horrified of cops so much so that's why
- 1:52:15Speaker 2: he never learned to drive. He did not want to
- 1:52:18Speaker 2: ever be in front of a cop after being pulled
- 1:52:21Speaker 2: over in a car. And if you watch his movies,
- 1:52:24Speaker 2: cops always have the worst deaths. Cops in his movies
- 1:52:30Speaker 2: always suffer the most and have the long drawn out deaths.
- 1:52:34Speaker 2: Wait to go, Dad, Yeah, Dad really blanked him over.
- 1:52:37Speaker 2: He was a prankster and used to have big parties
- 1:52:39Speaker 2: at his house in Hollywood, and he would put whoope
- 1:52:42Speaker 2: cushions under the seats of some of the guests. Walt
- 1:52:46Speaker 2: Disney would not allow him to film on Disney properties
- 1:52:49Speaker 2: because he hated Psycho so much. He thought Psycho was
- 1:52:53Speaker 2: a really disturbing, disgusting movie. So he wanted nothing to
- 1:52:56Speaker 2: do with Alfred Hitchcock and banned him from filming on
- 1:52:58Speaker 2: his properties. WHOA Okay, do you know what the mcguffin is? Ross?
- 1:53:03Speaker 2: You've heard a big time movie guy? What's a mcguffin?
- 1:53:05Speaker 2: It's God, I've heard of it. It's a type of story.
- 1:53:10Speaker 2: Isn't it like a mcguffin. It's like it's it's movie vernacular.
- 1:53:14Speaker 2: I couldn't define it. I'm stuck. It is movie vernacular.
- 1:53:17Speaker 2: It's like a trope.
- 1:53:18Speaker 4: Wouldn't to explain something in a movie? You want to
- 1:53:21Speaker 4: give it a shot.
- 1:53:22Speaker 2: I thought it was a bird. I'm gonna be honest
- 1:53:23Speaker 2: with you. When I was reading this is they get
- 1:53:25Speaker 2: a mcguffin. I'm like this guy, a pet birds, not
- 1:53:27Speaker 2: a pet bird. A mcguffin is the term used for
- 1:53:30Speaker 2: an item in a movie that moves the story forward,
- 1:53:34Speaker 2: i e. The briefcase in pulp fiction. Ah, so things
- 1:53:37Speaker 2: like that that kind of reappear throughout the movie, maybe
- 1:53:40Speaker 2: the arc and readers, Okay, something like that where they
- 1:53:43Speaker 2: keep moving it forward. That's the mcguffin. And he came
- 1:53:46Speaker 2: up with that cool. Yeah, it's pretty cool. And then
- 1:53:48Speaker 2: lastly here he had a fear of a certain food jello, spam, spaghetti,
- 1:53:57Speaker 2: it's called ovophobia. Eggs. Had a fear of eggs. He
- 1:54:01Speaker 2: hated them. Wouldn't have anything to do with him, wouldn't
- 1:54:04Speaker 2: be in a restaurant that had him on a table
- 1:54:06Speaker 2: that he was eating at would not definitely ever be
- 1:54:09Speaker 2: on his plate. Did not like them. It was absolutely
- 1:54:12Speaker 2: terrified of eggs. He tried to make it a movie,
- 1:54:14Speaker 2: but he thought that's not moving and tickets, so we
- 1:54:17Speaker 2: went with merds instead. Exactly the dumbest thing I've ever
- 1:54:20Speaker 2: said into this microphone. I know it's not i'a'll tell
- 1:54:24Speaker 2: you what's going coming, Jim. The dumbest thing I think
- 1:54:28Speaker 2: we might have ever done here in the past that
- 1:54:30Speaker 2: has also been love celebrated, hated, room divided. Some people
- 1:54:34Speaker 2: love it, some people hate it, but enough people love
- 1:54:37Speaker 2: it that we brought it back. I have a theater Thursday. Yeah,
- 1:54:41Speaker 2: if you don't know what theater Thursday is. I wrote
- 1:54:44Speaker 2: a script and here comes the best part, Jim deb Jack.
- 1:54:47Speaker 2: Have you read it? No, do you know what it's about?
- 1:54:51Speaker 3: No?
- 1:54:52Speaker 2: You know your voices that I'm gonna ask you guys
- 1:54:54Speaker 2: to do no all after the break, but I will
- 1:54:57Speaker 2: give you a hints. House of the Dragon just wrapped
- 1:55:01Speaker 2: up season three, and if you watched it, you know
- 1:55:04Speaker 2: it was way better than season two. All right. Season
- 1:55:07Speaker 2: three of House of the Dragon has absolutely galvanized me.
- 1:55:10Speaker 2: It has compelled me to write this scenario that I
- 1:55:15Speaker 2: think might have happened at least once back in the
- 1:55:17Speaker 2: medieval time. All right, so we'll do a hot d next. Hey, man,
- 1:55:24Speaker 2: I don't know you know it, don't saying?
- 1:55:26Speaker 17: Man?
- 1:55:27Speaker 2: You know, put your dog in a truck of your
- 1:55:28Speaker 2: car and put your wife in the truck of your car.
- 1:55:31Speaker 19: You know what the difference is, You only really want
- 1:55:34Speaker 19: to let your dog out.
- 1:55:37Speaker 2: Ye, all right, welcome back to the Jim Kolbert Show,
- 1:55:45Speaker 2: or already one oh four point one on Jim. There's
- 1:55:47Speaker 2: death check us here as well. Let's do Ross thoughts.
- 1:55:51Speaker 2: It's weird Thursday. It's funny, brought to you by Mills Air.
- 1:55:55Speaker 1: Sometimes it's Ross spelled Lake Saft Succi name, it's Rosscott
- 1:56:02Speaker 1: Buschman says.
- 1:56:03Speaker 2: Burd because he hit up mills are mills are dot Com.
- 1:56:06Speaker 2: I have a flawless carrier unit in my backyard and
- 1:56:10Speaker 2: not a single hiccup. I don't even feel Florida summer
- 1:56:13Speaker 2: too good inside of my home the second I step outside,
- 1:56:16Speaker 2: that's where daisy doesn't exist and everything is damp. But
- 1:56:20Speaker 2: inside of my home, Burdmills are dot Com five show.
- 1:56:25Speaker 2: Thank you, thanks five dude. We haven't done this in
- 1:56:29Speaker 2: several years. Man this is very exciting, and speaking of
- 1:56:32Speaker 2: several years, I've had this idea for several years. I
- 1:56:37Speaker 2: I this is scratching an itch that I have had
- 1:56:41Speaker 2: for such a long time. Now, Do I think this
- 1:56:42Speaker 2: is the best version of this premise that I conjured
- 1:56:47Speaker 2: up for a theater Thursday. Probably not, But I still
- 1:56:50Speaker 2: think that the listening audience, the best fans in the
- 1:56:53Speaker 2: world is still They're gonna get a treat because we
- 1:56:57Speaker 2: are about to debut the first and ever theater Thursday
- 1:57:02Speaker 2: around the matt Maker. I don't know, try to make
- 1:57:07Speaker 2: it sound so we have to have quick, little workshop quick.
- 1:57:12Speaker 2: This is no yeah, no, it's fine. It's just it's
- 1:57:16Speaker 2: it's four pages and one sentence, so it's barely five
- 1:57:21Speaker 2: pages and a little fun fact. I don't believe in
- 1:57:24Speaker 2: scripts longer than five pages when it comes to sketch comedy,
- 1:57:27Speaker 2: and I never speak in absolutes, but that is one
- 1:57:29Speaker 2: of the very few times. Yeah, and I will speak
- 1:57:32Speaker 2: in an absolute if your script is over five pages, sioute, Okay,
- 1:57:37Speaker 2: well I'm working on it so real fast. You have
- 1:57:41Speaker 2: been cast as Commander Thorn. Commander Thorn in fact perfect.
- 1:57:47Speaker 2: That's kind of the voice that I'm looking for You're
- 1:57:50Speaker 2: a total badass. I just watched The Odyssey, I just
- 1:57:53Speaker 2: watched House of the Dragon. I'm so into armor and
- 1:57:56Speaker 2: swords and shields. And this is where you are, your
- 1:58:00Speaker 2: Commander Thorn. Commander Thorn, Jack. Yes, I'm pretty sure. Oh God,
- 1:58:05Speaker 2: that's the money, million dollar voice right there. You are
- 1:58:10Speaker 2: playing the role of General Jackson's. This is why we
- 1:58:16Speaker 2: have the audition Thursday. I don't want you to ruin
- 1:58:21Speaker 2: this work. I need you to sound as bad ass
- 1:58:28Speaker 2: as Jack Bradshaw can sound. Really, I don't know. You
- 1:58:31Speaker 2: have to grizzle. Yeah, well I can do like this,
- 1:58:35Speaker 2: like this, I.
- 1:58:35Speaker 21: Can I can lower that, can bring it down together. Yeah,
- 1:58:41Speaker 21: kind of hurt, but I can make four pages. It's
- 1:58:46Speaker 21: Jack Brett, that's General Jackson. Here for your daughter, Chill.
- 1:58:52Speaker 2: We're here for your daughter, Jill. We're here for your daughter.
- 1:58:55Speaker 2: You're never getting that deep, which is which is terrible.
- 1:58:58Speaker 2: How does she do it? That hurts? Happy pride? Her
- 1:59:02Speaker 2: pants moved, I'm waistbanding. I also loved it on Thursday
- 1:59:09Speaker 2: because I just I always love picturing the Brazilian fresh
- 1:59:12Speaker 2: out of the airport and getting their uber ride the
- 1:59:17Speaker 2: driver's car and now jim you are the main character again?
- 1:59:22Speaker 2: Oh yeah, the mat Maker, the maker, which is taken
- 1:59:27Speaker 2: as literal as possible. Hi, I'm the mat Maker. Less
- 1:59:33Speaker 2: I would say, like even more, like, how how medieval
- 1:59:37Speaker 2: and annoying can you get? Hello? Everybody, I'm the mat Maker. No, no,
- 1:59:45Speaker 2: you're not, Jimmy Cricket. I think that was it right there,
- 1:59:51Speaker 2: the mad Maker. All right, we'll go with that. This
- 1:59:55Speaker 2: is Terrence and Philip.
- 1:59:57Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, yeah, very much.
- 2:00:01Speaker 2: That very good. Okay, So should we take a break
- 2:00:04Speaker 2: and then come back? No, wait, we can do this one.
- 2:00:07Speaker 2: Are you real here?
- 2:00:08Speaker 3: We do it all right? I don't know.
- 2:00:09Speaker 2: We've only got two. That's all right, Yeah, we got
- 2:00:12Speaker 2: enough minis. All right, now, who's narrating between him? I
- 2:00:14Speaker 2: will be the narrator here, yeah, because you don't have
- 2:00:16Speaker 2: a character, right, I do not have a character. But
- 2:00:18Speaker 2: we do need a production. We need medieval music. Oh
- 2:00:23Speaker 2: thanks for telling me. All right, heads up there, jam,
- 2:00:26Speaker 2: it's not a clapper, all right, you don't need a clapper.
- 2:00:28Speaker 2: Well we fixed it. You fixed it, ladies and gentlemen.
- 2:00:34Speaker 2: The world premiere of The map makerker Interior General's War Room,
- 2:00:42Speaker 2: Year seven eighty eight A d medieval times. Generals and
- 2:00:47Speaker 2: captains gather around an enormous map on an even bigger table,
- 2:00:52Speaker 2: plotting their next invasion. General Jacksons and Commander Thorne are
- 2:00:56Speaker 2: leading the attack and the instructions in said war room.
- 2:01:00Speaker 2: They are rallying the troops and their lieutenants.
- 2:01:06Speaker 4: Looking at all of you in your eyes, I know
- 2:01:09Speaker 4: I see men, men ready to stand, ready to stand
- 2:01:14Speaker 4: against tyranny.
- 2:01:15Speaker 2: Everyone in the room cheers.
- 2:01:17Speaker 4: Yeah, it's us versus them from here on out.
- 2:01:24Speaker 2: Where do we strike? From General Jackson's.
- 2:01:27Speaker 4: We will attack the northeastern border of Elder Grove Forest.
- 2:01:32Speaker 2: The General moves his pieces across the map, showing the
- 2:01:36Speaker 2: first part of his attack. General Jackson's right hand commander,
- 2:01:40Speaker 2: Commander Thorn, steps into frame. Yes, sharpen your steel boys.
- 2:01:46Speaker 4: Then after the forest, will go to Gobblstein's stable.
- 2:01:49Speaker 2: They have wonderful horse.
- 2:01:52Speaker 4: Say it again, say it seriously, Gobbelstein's stable.
- 2:01:56Speaker 2: They have wonderful horses waiting for us. General Jacksons moves
- 2:02:00Speaker 2: the pieces once again on the stunning, dark, leathery, enormous map,
- 2:02:05Speaker 2: drawing his savage direction into conflict and warfare.
- 2:02:09Speaker 4: There at Gobbelstein, we will suit up for our time
- 2:02:13Speaker 4: our time in the history books. It may be our
- 2:02:17Speaker 4: last day together, but together, I assure you, we will
- 2:02:22Speaker 4: be known.
- 2:02:23Speaker 2: Commander Thorn now with tears in his eyes, it.
- 2:02:27Speaker 5: Will be known as the Thornberry War in due to
- 2:02:31Speaker 5: my family name.
- 2:02:33Speaker 2: No negotiations, no more peace.
- 2:02:36Speaker 5: My home will be my home once again, only for
- 2:02:39Speaker 5: the family of Thorn.
- 2:02:41Speaker 2: Commander Thorn grabs her dagger, his dagger and stagler. Commander
- 2:02:46Speaker 2: Thorn grabs a dagger and stabs the center of the map,
- 2:02:49Speaker 2: right on the city of Thornberry. Someone from the back
- 2:02:53Speaker 2: of the room slides into frame. Oh hold on, no, no,
- 2:02:57Speaker 2: you didn't just do that. We won't perish, not today,
- 2:03:02Speaker 2: not tomorrow. Does anybody know how long it took me
- 2:03:06Speaker 2: to make this map? The enemy skies will be dyed red. Well,
- 2:03:10Speaker 2: at least something can still be read. Oh no, General
- 2:03:16Speaker 2: Jackson's sees an incredibly dumb, moronic, and stupid distraction to
- 2:03:21Speaker 2: his war happening on the horizon. Shut up, map maker,
- 2:03:26Speaker 2: not now, map maker.
- 2:03:28Speaker 6: Please, General Jaxon's I don't want to hear from you.
- 2:03:32Speaker 6: I've done making maps for you every time, and I
- 2:03:36Speaker 6: mean every single time someone stabs my map for dramatic reasonings.
- 2:03:41Speaker 2: I understand, but I don't think you do. Why step
- 2:03:46Speaker 2: the map? He did nothing? Do you even know what
- 2:03:50Speaker 2: the map is made of? Commander Thorne is still rallying
- 2:03:53Speaker 2: the troops. Everyone in the room.
- 2:03:55Speaker 5: There won't be a page that won't have our names
- 2:03:58Speaker 5: on it. We will be next to Alexander the Great.
- 2:04:01Speaker 2: Now it's back to General Jacksons. I don't know what
- 2:04:04Speaker 2: the map is made out of. No, exactly, it's dragon hide.
- 2:04:09Speaker 4: Dragon hide, really yeah, dragon hide.
- 2:04:13Speaker 2: I do it because I like you, guys, but not anymore.
- 2:04:16Speaker 2: Though this map.
- 2:04:18Speaker 6: Took me free years, regular punichment from here on out.
- 2:04:23Speaker 2: Okay, that's fine. We're busy right now.
- 2:04:25Speaker 6: Yeah, busy destroying my hard work. No whatever thinks about me,
- 2:04:30Speaker 6: the mat makers.
- 2:04:31Speaker 2: We shall take the enemy's last breath like.
- 2:04:34Speaker 6: This, Commander Thorn, even though I'm supposed to get this back,
- 2:04:38Speaker 6: like the map is a rental, like I rented it
- 2:04:41Speaker 6: out for coin.
- 2:04:42Speaker 2: The map makers starts to walk up to Commander Thorn.
- 2:04:45Speaker 2: Oh god, why did we get new maps the old map?
- 2:04:48Speaker 7: For?
- 2:04:49Speaker 17: Fine?
- 2:04:50Speaker 2: Sure, a couple of holes, but fine.
- 2:04:52Speaker 5: We shall ride for our mothers, our fathers, our families,
- 2:04:56Speaker 5: and mat makers.
- 2:04:58Speaker 2: Don't forget the map makers. I make maps. Excuse me,
- 2:05:05Speaker 2: I make maps. You don't know me, but you like
- 2:05:09Speaker 2: stabbing my work. I see how it is.
- 2:05:14Speaker 5: Uh nope, I don't even know what you're talking about.
- 2:05:20Speaker 2: What do you mean you just stab my map with
- 2:05:22Speaker 2: that dagger? It's a rental I needed back.
- 2:05:25Speaker 5: Wait wait, wait, you are upset about the map on
- 2:05:31Speaker 5: the brink of war?
- 2:05:33Speaker 2: No you wait, wait wait.
- 2:05:36Speaker 6: You just stab my map for no reason other than
- 2:05:40Speaker 6: theatrics and for what to get the boys going.
- 2:05:43Speaker 2: To look cool. Commander Thorn seems to roll his shoulders
- 2:05:47Speaker 2: a little bit, stab.
- 2:05:48Speaker 6: Him ap to win a war. Wow, what a big
- 2:05:51Speaker 6: guy you are. I bet you haven't even seen battle.
- 2:05:54Speaker 6: What wars have you thought?
- 2:05:56Speaker 2: Commander Thorn grabs the dagger out of the map, throws
- 2:05:59Speaker 2: it across the room and paling the map maker's throat,
- 2:06:01Speaker 2: forcing him to death.
- 2:06:03Speaker 3: Weeze.
- 2:06:25Speaker 5: We won't just win, we will conquer.
- 2:06:33Speaker 2: Thorn leaves the room and everyone follows suit. The death
- 2:06:36Speaker 2: wheezing continues. It gets worse, it gets it. Dogles the
- 2:06:42Speaker 2: good stuff, little little lower per General Jacksons walks up
- 2:06:50Speaker 2: to the map maker and delivers the last line. We
- 2:06:54Speaker 2: never asked for. Dragon Hide theater that thought my throat
- 2:07:04Speaker 2: with her. Jimmy wins that one, all right for seven
- 2:07:09Speaker 2: quarter one texta seven.
- 2:07:13Speaker 7: Jimmy.
- 2:07:13Speaker 2: The gas station can't control the flow of fuel. I
- 2:07:16Speaker 2: used to work at a gas station.
- 2:07:18Speaker 14: The problem is the pump you're using has a clogged
- 2:07:20Speaker 14: fuel filters, simple as that.
- 2:07:25Speaker 2: I disagree. They want me to buy them to Coketos.
- 2:07:30Speaker 2: It's all the teketos. It's to Ketos and big gulfs. Dude,
- 2:07:33Speaker 2: I'll never believe you. Or a seven nine one six
- 2:07:36Speaker 2: one text us seven seven zero three one Ross. That
- 2:07:38Speaker 2: one hurt a little bit. Sorry, I'm fine, goodness gracious,
- 2:07:43Speaker 2: you're committing Yeah, welcome back. I'm jim there's zeb Jack
- 2:07:47Speaker 2: his ears, Yes, sir, and so is Ross. It's true.
- 2:07:50Speaker 2: We are pre emptied by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers game
- 2:07:53Speaker 2: tomorrow nights, which means one hour early. So yeah, I
- 2:07:56Speaker 2: was just about to say that we'll get out of
- 2:07:57Speaker 2: here at six o'clock tomorrow. So because of that, we
- 2:07:59Speaker 2: are gonna do a little of this.
- 2:08:03Speaker 1: It's game time on real Radio. Get ready for the
- 2:08:08Speaker 1: your quick hit on gaming news reviews and a little
- 2:08:10Speaker 1: chaos has Pop Pomp tries Gaming update with Jaden's starts.
- 2:08:17Speaker 2: Now, how you guys doing. I'm doing good, buddy. My
- 2:08:24Speaker 2: voice is a little wrecked right now with how things.
- 2:08:25Speaker 3: It's doing good.
- 2:08:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I heard you from the outside over there. You're
- 2:08:28Speaker 2: getting really into it. Yeah, I have to man, you
- 2:08:29Speaker 2: guess you gotta sell it hard, buddy. You did since
- 2:08:32Speaker 2: you gotta sell it hard? You did you get to
- 2:08:34Speaker 2: hear it cut? No? No, not at all. I made
- 2:08:36Speaker 2: sure to wear a hat today. I knew, yeah, knew
- 2:08:38Speaker 2: it was coming on right right.
- 2:08:40Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 2:08:41Speaker 2: Jayden drops by on Fridays usually, but like I said to,
- 2:08:44Speaker 2: tomorrow will be preempted for the last hour of the
- 2:08:46Speaker 2: show by the time of bay Bucks game. So we
- 2:08:48Speaker 2: invited to come in today to kind of talk about
- 2:08:50Speaker 2: what's going on. Any news out there, kid, Yeah, last week,
- 2:08:53Speaker 2: last week this happened.
- 2:08:54Speaker 9: I was actually really excited to come on last Friday,
- 2:08:56Speaker 9: and then I found out you guys were doing best
- 2:08:58Speaker 9: of I Want. Walked to the studio. I was, oh,
- 2:09:00Speaker 9: they're not here, all right, So I just walked away. Sorry,
- 2:09:04Speaker 9: it's okay. Everyone needs to take a day off. GTA
- 2:09:06Speaker 9: six is coming to Netflix for their third trailer. I've
- 2:09:10Speaker 9: never seen a video game franchise ever do anything like
- 2:09:13Speaker 9: this where they go to a streaming service to drop
- 2:09:15Speaker 9: their trailer before they put it on YouTube.
- 2:09:17Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 2:09:17Speaker 2: Yeah, are the biggest game out there though, definitely is
- 2:09:20Speaker 2: the biggest game in the game. Yeah.
- 2:09:22Speaker 9: I mean, I when you have the biggest game in
- 2:09:23Speaker 9: the world, I guess you can do wacky things like this. Yeah,
- 2:09:26Speaker 9: August twenty seventh at three pm in the middle of
- 2:09:30Speaker 9: the work day. They probably could have scheduled this a
- 2:09:32Speaker 9: little bit better. I mean, August twenty seventh, that may
- 2:09:34Speaker 9: be a Saturday. Actually, now that I'm saying that, I
- 2:09:36Speaker 9: didn't really look at when it is.
- 2:09:37Speaker 2: No, that's a Thursday.
- 2:09:39Speaker 9: Yeah, it's a Thursday in the middle of the day
- 2:09:40Speaker 9: at three pm. I don't know why they would ever
- 2:09:43Speaker 9: schedule it like this.
- 2:09:44Speaker 2: Do you think there's a possibility they're doing that just
- 2:09:46Speaker 2: to get a pure look at how many people are
- 2:09:48Speaker 2: going to tune in because it's such an odd, random
- 2:09:50Speaker 2: time that. In other words, if they're logging in, the
- 2:09:53Speaker 2: chances are they're doing it just for that and they
- 2:09:55Speaker 2: can get a better meter of how many people are
- 2:09:57Speaker 2: going to tune in to watch it. I mean, is
- 2:09:58Speaker 2: that Yeah?
- 2:09:58Speaker 9: I'm not really though, as YouTube counts the views as well.
- 2:10:01Speaker 9: So I don't really understand this. It's basically just we
- 2:10:04Speaker 9: have a bunch of money, we can pay for this.
- 2:10:07Speaker 9: We can do whatever we want with rock Star.
- 2:10:08Speaker 2: Maybe they're the best deal at that time from Netflix.
- 2:10:10Speaker 4: Yeah, maybe it's Netflix who said we will pay you
- 2:10:12Speaker 4: this amount of money to have that.
- 2:10:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:10:14Speaker 9: Sure, they are trying to go into the gaming market.
- 2:10:17Speaker 9: They have quote unquote games you can play on Netflix.
- 2:10:19Speaker 2: In your podcast that actually is a really good So
- 2:10:22Speaker 2: we know that. We know that stuff like this can
- 2:10:25Speaker 2: make money, like the whole GTA, because Fast and the
- 2:10:27Speaker 2: Furious has done quite well. Has there ever been talk
- 2:10:30Speaker 2: about turning GTA into a movie.
- 2:10:31Speaker 9: I'm sure there has here and there, but it's it's
- 2:10:34Speaker 9: something where you kind of really turn it into a movie.
- 2:10:36Speaker 9: It's so open world and you have so much control
- 2:10:38Speaker 9: of what you're doing.
- 2:10:39Speaker 2: Can you take home? Aren't there popular? Don't you do
- 2:10:41Speaker 2: you create your own characters? Are their characters in the
- 2:10:44Speaker 2: game that you assume there's characters? Yeah, it's both.
- 2:10:47Speaker 4: You can make it with Fallout yeah, yeah, so they
- 2:10:50Speaker 4: made content. They made a show out of a video
- 2:10:53Speaker 4: tune raider as well. Right, they can do this, Yeah, Yeah, so,
- 2:10:56Speaker 4: I mean they could do it.
- 2:10:56Speaker 2: I mean it's such a popular franchise, you would think
- 2:10:58Speaker 2: first fact that they would like do that. I mean
- 2:11:01Speaker 2: I think it'd be like it seems automatic to me.
- 2:11:03Speaker 2: You could do it, but it wouldn't to me. Wouldn't
- 2:11:07Speaker 2: work because it can't get graphic enough. No, because like
- 2:11:09Speaker 2: Fallout works because you're in that world. It's like, I know,
- 2:11:13Speaker 2: the food in that videka, but the food in like
- 2:11:17Speaker 2: it's real world GTA. It's like real world people behaving
- 2:11:21Speaker 2: really badly.
- 2:11:22Speaker 9: Yeah, Like I can't you know, just steal a taxi
- 2:11:25Speaker 9: and then just like shoot the guy and you know,
- 2:11:27Speaker 9: I don't feel like the I mean maybe that gets
- 2:11:29Speaker 9: a views.
- 2:11:29Speaker 2: I don't think it would. I feel like I've already
- 2:11:31Speaker 2: seen that movie as well. That just kind of sounds
- 2:11:34Speaker 2: like an action movie. Yeah, yeah, that's very true. It
- 2:11:36Speaker 2: just be a generic action movie. It's not just gonna
- 2:11:39Speaker 2: be on Netflix, though it will come out on YouTube
- 2:11:41Speaker 2: later that day, but at nine pm. So I don't
- 2:11:44Speaker 2: It's just the whole thing's a little weird.
- 2:11:46Speaker 3: Todd.
- 2:11:47Speaker 9: Yeah, and don't expect anything about talking about GTA six
- 2:11:50Speaker 9: online because rock Star said we have no plans to
- 2:11:53Speaker 9: talk about that anytime soon, which is crazy to me
- 2:11:55Speaker 9: because that's where they make a lot of their money.
- 2:11:57Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 2:11:57Speaker 2: H so they're just gonna drop it and just let
- 2:11:59Speaker 2: it drop and that just let it sit there, you
- 2:12:01Speaker 2: just let people got to soak it up until later.
- 2:12:03Speaker 9: Yeah, they want people to play the story mode. I mean,
- 2:12:05Speaker 9: they spent thirteen years on this. They go with everything
- 2:12:08Speaker 9: with the red ded Redemption two, GTA five, all those
- 2:12:10Speaker 9: onlines came in later as after people played the story
- 2:12:14Speaker 9: and did everything they could in the story mode.
- 2:12:16Speaker 2: And when is the When is the actual release date.
- 2:12:18Speaker 9: Of November nineteenth? Yeah, okay, so we're getting really close.
- 2:12:21Speaker 9: I didn't realize how close we were to this game.
- 2:12:23Speaker 2: I don't mind.
- 2:12:25Speaker 4: I actually prefer that because I like playing the story mode. First,
- 2:12:28Speaker 4: you understand the game, you understand the maps, you're more
- 2:12:31Speaker 4: familiar with it, which is basically it's a good premer
- 2:12:34Speaker 4: before you go online and play with strangers.
- 2:12:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:12:37Speaker 9: I like that too, because one thing is an online
- 2:12:41Speaker 9: As soon as I join the lobby, I'm shot in
- 2:12:43Speaker 9: the head and dead.
- 2:12:44Speaker 2: Ye like it. I like and enjoying the game for
- 2:12:46Speaker 2: a little bit before I want to throw my controller. Sure.
- 2:12:48Speaker 9: Yeah, and we talked about Sony a lot in this
- 2:12:51Speaker 9: whole going digital no more physical games. Well, they've came
- 2:12:54Speaker 9: out and had a I guess you can call it
- 2:12:56Speaker 9: a response if you want to call it that. Sony
- 2:12:58Speaker 9: cfo Linn. I don't know if I said that last name, right.
- 2:13:01Speaker 9: It was a little confusing.
- 2:13:02Speaker 2: It's fine.
- 2:13:03Speaker 9: Spoke at a PlayStation Investors meeting, which is on YouTube.
- 2:13:06Speaker 9: It's like an hour long. You can watch the whole thing.
- 2:13:08Speaker 9: I didn't watch the whole thing because that's crazy. There
- 2:13:11Speaker 9: was one, one time, one moment she mentioned the physical
- 2:13:16Speaker 9: disc only once, and she basically said, yeah, we hear
- 2:13:19Speaker 9: your guys' complaints, and we.
- 2:13:20Speaker 2: Do not care. We do not care at all. They
- 2:13:23Speaker 2: actually printed that that very statement this week. They're like,
- 2:13:26Speaker 2: they're all they were almost like, hey, guys, shut up. Yeah,
- 2:13:29Speaker 2: it's not gonna change. This is where it's going, and
- 2:13:32Speaker 2: if you keep bitching about it, it's just gonna be
- 2:13:33Speaker 2: a problem for you. It's not gonna change.
- 2:13:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:13:35Speaker 9: I mean, I just looking at it from a business side,
- 2:13:38Speaker 9: eighty percent of their games on the PS four PS
- 2:13:40Speaker 9: five are already getting sold digitally. That's not on disc,
- 2:13:43Speaker 9: that's all digital, right, Yeah, And then I just it
- 2:13:47Speaker 9: doesn't make sense to me as well.
- 2:13:49Speaker 2: The cost of production is exactly what it is. But
- 2:13:51Speaker 2: I mean they are literally gonna wind up saving just
- 2:13:54Speaker 2: tens of millions of dollars from not producing those CDs
- 2:13:56Speaker 2: or jewel cases or any of that.
- 2:13:57Speaker 9: Suff Yeah, the part of that I don't understand, and
- 2:14:00Speaker 9: is you see the eighty percent of games are already so,
- 2:14:03Speaker 9: and there's such an uproar about this.
- 2:14:06Speaker 2: That's what kind of confuses me.
- 2:14:07Speaker 9: It's people not liking the change, which I understand why
- 2:14:10Speaker 9: they don't like it because you look at the storefront,
- 2:14:12Speaker 9: all right, Sony's never gonna allow like an Epic Games
- 2:14:15Speaker 9: or Steam to collab on their own storefront.
- 2:14:18Speaker 2: So they have a monopoly over this.
- 2:14:19Speaker 9: Right, They can control prices, They can get rid of
- 2:14:21Speaker 9: games whenever they want.
- 2:14:23Speaker 2: They can they can pinch how much you download, when
- 2:14:24Speaker 2: you downloaded, how long you keep it. We have already
- 2:14:26Speaker 2: learned that, right. They can literally go into your system
- 2:14:28Speaker 2: and wipe that game out if you haven't use it
- 2:14:30Speaker 2: in a while.
- 2:14:30Speaker 9: Yeah, they're going to a complete online service. If you
- 2:14:34Speaker 9: don't connect to an online uh connection and play a
- 2:14:38Speaker 9: game within thirty days, they'll take it away.
- 2:14:39Speaker 2: Control complete controls it. As a Nintendo fan and also
- 2:14:44Speaker 2: an Xbox guy, I'm like, hey, let the hate keep
- 2:14:47Speaker 2: flowing because Nintendo Xbox maybe they see somewhat of an
- 2:14:52Speaker 2: opportunity to kind of step up a little crease, the
- 2:14:56Speaker 2: little crease Like Nintendo right now, they are ready got
- 2:15:00Speaker 2: a lot of heat. They were kind of the first
- 2:15:01Speaker 2: ones to go digitally, even if you bought the game hardware.
- 2:15:05Speaker 2: You would buy the game, put it in your switch,
- 2:15:07Speaker 2: and then you would download the game. But now that
- 2:15:10Speaker 2: looks like a blessing compared to no disc.
- 2:15:13Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 2:15:13Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean, I don't know if you saw what
- 2:15:15Speaker 9: Xbox did recently. They are kind of winning this whole situation.
- 2:15:19Speaker 9: So they're obviously going digitally as well in their future consoles.
- 2:15:23Speaker 2: They're not really getting too much flak for it though. Yeah.
- 2:15:25Speaker 2: It's weird though, because music went to this very thing
- 2:15:27Speaker 2: and when people when when it went from CDs into
- 2:15:30Speaker 2: just streaming, people were pissed off because they liked having
- 2:15:33Speaker 2: the jewel cases and the art and all the information
- 2:15:36Speaker 2: that they print on the inside of that. I mean,
- 2:15:37Speaker 2: that was like a thing that people like to keep,
- 2:15:39Speaker 2: you know. It's almost like a record of what they had,
- 2:15:41Speaker 2: so now now you have a thumb drive or a
- 2:15:43Speaker 2: hard drive of all your stuff in it, or you have
- 2:15:45Speaker 2: a track listing on your computer, it just doesn't feel
- 2:15:47Speaker 2: the same of being able to pick that CD up
- 2:15:49Speaker 2: or that album cover and look at it.
- 2:15:51Speaker 9: There's nothing, you know, nothing tangible, right, It's like you
- 2:15:53Speaker 9: never really owned it. And that's the whole point of Sony.
- 2:15:56Speaker 9: They want to own it. They don't want you to
- 2:15:58Speaker 9: own it. But Xbox is doing this right, so they're
- 2:16:00Speaker 9: gonna go fully digital at some point, not as close
- 2:16:02Speaker 9: as Sony is. You know, Sony's creeping up on the
- 2:16:05Speaker 9: next year and a half they'll be fully digital. But
- 2:16:07Speaker 9: Xbox is getting to the point where you can get
- 2:16:09Speaker 9: your physical disc, put it into your Xbox and it
- 2:16:13Speaker 9: will download not only the game, but the digital license
- 2:16:15Speaker 9: to it as well.
- 2:16:16Speaker 2: Oh right, there you go. Here's the difference maker.
- 2:16:18Speaker 9: Yeah, so you can go I don't know if this
- 2:16:21Speaker 9: updates live for everybody I know. For Xbox Insiders, which
- 2:16:24Speaker 9: is just like their insider group, they get updates a
- 2:16:26Speaker 9: little bit earlier to test out all these things. They
- 2:16:28Speaker 9: can actually do it now, so you could go to
- 2:16:30Speaker 9: game Stop hypothetically say this new game is sixty nine dollars,
- 2:16:33Speaker 9: but it's on sale for forty five dollars a game stop.
- 2:16:36Speaker 9: You go to game stop, you buy for forty five dollars.
- 2:16:38Speaker 9: You just saved like what fifteen to twenty bucks. Yeah,
- 2:16:40Speaker 9: and now you have the game physically and you have
- 2:16:42Speaker 9: the digital license if you want to play it in
- 2:16:44Speaker 9: three years when they're like all right, no more dis.
- 2:16:46Speaker 2: Yeheah, that's crazy. And you know me, just text in
- 2:16:48Speaker 2: and say nice jobs, Sony. And the console Wars. You
- 2:16:50Speaker 2: just snatched the feet from the Jaws of Victory. Xbox
- 2:16:53Speaker 2: now has New Life. Oh yeah, like what Ross is saying? Yeah, yeah,
- 2:16:56Speaker 2: there's a crease and Nintendo's not hurting I and I
- 2:16:59Speaker 2: have fit. Sounds like I bought stock Nintendo. It's because
- 2:17:02Speaker 2: I did.
- 2:17:02Speaker 4: Ye.
- 2:17:03Speaker 2: Yeah. But they don't have g T A right, they
- 2:17:07Speaker 2: will not have g They will never have gt That's
- 2:17:09Speaker 2: like that.
- 2:17:09Speaker 9: I have a couple of g t as on my
- 2:17:11Speaker 9: switch right now. I know you really, I have the
- 2:17:13Speaker 9: older GTS switch.
- 2:17:14Speaker 2: The answer g T A six will not be coming
- 2:17:17Speaker 2: out on the switch too. But you know what Nintendo
- 2:17:19Speaker 2: has that nobody else has. Mario, Yeah, they have ever right,
- 2:17:24Speaker 2: they have the best ips, They have the best in
- 2:17:28Speaker 2: house content, I believe out of the three that might
- 2:17:31Speaker 2: be a hot take, but they have the most successful
- 2:17:36Speaker 2: icon history is Nintendo. Also legend of our, legend of
- 2:17:41Speaker 2: I've Ever wanted to hit you more, the legend of Zelda.
- 2:17:45Speaker 2: I apology, sorry, I said, the legend of zorro Ye.
- 2:17:49Speaker 9: You're gonna see Ross fly through that glass here in
- 2:17:51Speaker 9: about two minutes.
- 2:17:52Speaker 2: That was literally so bad I almost dumped it. I'm
- 2:17:54Speaker 2: gonna be honest with legend of Zelda. That is a
- 2:17:57Speaker 2: Nintendo game, that right, That is and they do own Zelda.
- 2:18:00Speaker 2: That is there. How about Zorrow? Do they on that borrow?
- 2:18:04Speaker 2: Maybe maybe someday they will about Robin Hood?
- 2:18:12Speaker 9: Yeah no, no, no, it's it's all right though, No, no,
- 2:18:19Speaker 9: you can continue.
- 2:18:20Speaker 5: You just shut down a youngster over there. You just
- 2:18:22Speaker 5: it's alright, alright, he.
- 2:18:23Speaker 2: Looks a little paint. People just mentioned management. I forgot
- 2:18:31Speaker 2: what we were talking. Okay, we were talking about Sony
- 2:18:33Speaker 2: and Sorrow. Oh yeah, zorro of course. Yeah, get so.
- 2:18:36Speaker 9: I just the whole Sony thing's a little wild to me,
- 2:18:38Speaker 9: especially when you see Xbox just doing a complete one
- 2:18:41Speaker 9: eighty and basically changing this console wars.
- 2:18:43Speaker 18: What is the.
- 2:18:44Speaker 2: Industry saying about it is is is the industry kind
- 2:18:46Speaker 2: of mimicking what Ross is saying, like they think this
- 2:18:48Speaker 2: is a mistake and it's gonna give Xbox kind of
- 2:18:50Speaker 2: an opening to do something. Or are they just going
- 2:18:53Speaker 2: this is where it's going and everybody needs to just
- 2:18:54Speaker 2: get on board.
- 2:18:55Speaker 9: Every This is where it's everybody needs to get on board.
- 2:18:57Speaker 9: The next Xbox you see won't have a disk slide.
- 2:18:59Speaker 9: I mean, right, PC gaming, I can't have a disc
- 2:19:01Speaker 9: on my PC. Everything's digital on there as well.
- 2:19:04Speaker 4: Xbox even slow rolled it because Jimmy, the console you
- 2:19:07Speaker 4: had is digital only. Yeah, right, you can't put a
- 2:19:10Speaker 4: game in there. I cannot know. So they came out
- 2:19:12Speaker 4: with two versions on this last incarnation of their gaming
- 2:19:15Speaker 4: system series X and series AS, so they already were
- 2:19:18Speaker 4: kind of going down this road, but Sony said, wait,
- 2:19:22Speaker 4: we'll step in first and they'll take all the arrows,
- 2:19:26Speaker 4: and then by the time Xbox that people will be
- 2:19:29Speaker 4: a lot more used to it.
- 2:19:31Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 2:19:32Speaker 9: I mean I for now as I can get physical
- 2:19:34Speaker 9: games still, so I'll buy the next couple of Sony games,
- 2:19:36Speaker 9: but I won't buy the next PlayStation. I just I
- 2:19:39Speaker 9: don't agree with any of these things Sony have done
- 2:19:42Speaker 9: within the last couple of months. So this is my
- 2:19:44Speaker 9: my boycotting of Sony right here. So the PlayStation is
- 2:19:48Speaker 9: solely for GT six for you or GtC, not even
- 2:19:50Speaker 9: for GTA played on my Xbox. Oh really yeah, I
- 2:19:53Speaker 9: mean what the PlayStation is for me is now and
- 2:19:56Speaker 9: saw me at games all right. Wolverine comes out in
- 2:19:58Speaker 9: a month. Yeah, that's what I cannot win for. They
- 2:20:00Speaker 9: just flew out a bunch of content.
- 2:20:02Speaker 2: Creator that somebody's like, this guy better talk about what
- 2:20:04Speaker 2: I don't worry.
- 2:20:06Speaker 9: They flew out content creators to go try out the game.
- 2:20:08Speaker 9: You can already go watch boss fights, opening scenes, all
- 2:20:11Speaker 9: of that from the video game Wolverine.
- 2:20:13Speaker 2: It looks phenomens the Wolverine thing. But yeah, because I
- 2:20:17Speaker 2: believe that's the same producer that made.
- 2:20:20Speaker 9: Arkham Right, No, Spider Man, they made Spider Man games.
- 2:20:23Speaker 9: It's all a connected universe. Speaking of those Spider Man games. Uh,
- 2:20:27Speaker 9: now that Wolverine's pretty much done and settled, it's just now,
- 2:20:31Speaker 9: hey guys, go buy our game. Sure, they have a
- 2:20:33Speaker 9: bunch of new games in production. Spider Man two had
- 2:20:35Speaker 9: a bunch of canceled DLCs, and one of them you
- 2:20:38Speaker 9: got to play as Venom, like the Big Boy Venom
- 2:20:41Speaker 9: from the comics, and uh, they completely scraped the DC.
- 2:20:44Speaker 9: But now the rumor, it's a pretty hot rumor that
- 2:20:46Speaker 9: they are just turning out into a whole new game.
- 2:20:48Speaker 2: Oh really, Yeah, can you explain what a DLC is?
- 2:20:51Speaker 9: Downloadable content? After the story you just you know, you
- 2:20:55Speaker 9: spend like twenty claims and you just go down to
- 2:20:57Speaker 9: get some new stories.
- 2:20:58Speaker 4: It's up so you can play a game. But then
- 2:21:01Speaker 4: they'll have DLC. So, oh you like this game, Well
- 2:21:04Speaker 4: we have more missions or stories you can take part
- 2:21:07Speaker 4: and you just download them. So it's new content you
- 2:21:10Speaker 4: can download and make the game you already love better.
- 2:21:14Speaker 2: So it's like when Netflix says, since you watch this,
- 2:21:16Speaker 2: you're probably gonna like this.
- 2:21:17Speaker 4: Yeah, all right, you pay more money in the in
- 2:21:20Speaker 4: the world of the game that you're already played.
- 2:21:22Speaker 2: Imagine if Orangeon is the new blacket finished up and
- 2:21:25Speaker 2: they were like, hey, for like four more bucks, you
- 2:21:27Speaker 2: can get four more episodes. So yeah, okay, I won't
- 2:21:30Speaker 2: give you a whole season, but I'll give you a
- 2:21:32Speaker 2: couple more episodes.
- 2:21:33Speaker 9: Yeah, Like the First Spider Man had three DC. I
- 2:21:35Speaker 9: think they were like fifteen each and then Spider Man
- 2:21:38Speaker 9: two is supposed to have three, and then Insomniac went
- 2:21:41Speaker 9: through a bunch of stuff and they just canceled them all.
- 2:21:42Speaker 2: So when you do that, it's like buying a whole
- 2:21:44Speaker 2: new game. Does the DLC like the content you download?
- 2:21:46Speaker 2: Does that turn it into another game where you can
- 2:21:48Speaker 2: have more life and enjoy the game even longer? Is
- 2:21:50Speaker 2: that the whole idea?
- 2:21:52Speaker 4: Yeah, it extends the game, but you need the game
- 2:21:55Speaker 4: itself to add on to.
- 2:21:56Speaker 2: Got it right? Yeah?
- 2:21:57Speaker 9: Yeah, And it usually takes place after the main store,
- 2:22:00Speaker 9: so you're supposed to fish finish everything you can or want,
- 2:22:03Speaker 9: and then you go on to play the next things.
- 2:22:05Speaker 2: And then we also.
- 2:22:06Speaker 4: It's a way to tack on more revenue for like
- 2:22:08Speaker 4: they sell the game, then they're like, oh, we'll sell
- 2:22:10Speaker 4: you this, and then we'll show you this.
- 2:22:12Speaker 9: Yeah yeah, and then uh with them turning Venom into
- 2:22:15Speaker 9: a full own game, it would kind of be like
- 2:22:17Speaker 9: the Miles Morales, a short little spin off game. But
- 2:22:19Speaker 9: the big boy is Spider Man three is in development,
- 2:22:22Speaker 9: so that's huge really yeah, I mean this is the
- 2:22:25Speaker 9: third Spider Man game we got.
- 2:22:26Speaker 2: It's the third in the trilogy by the way. The
- 2:22:28Speaker 2: third great great.
- 2:22:30Speaker 9: I will say the second one fell off a little bit,
- 2:22:32Speaker 9: but the first one phenomenal.
- 2:22:35Speaker 2: I haven't heard that take about the second one versus
- 2:22:37Speaker 2: the first one. I just know that as an Xbox
- 2:22:39Speaker 2: Nintendo guy, it is the only Sony game that has
- 2:22:43Speaker 2: ever wanted. I've almost bought a PlayStation to play Spider
- 2:22:47Speaker 2: Man PlayStation and then they put.
- 2:22:51Speaker 9: Them on the PC and I was like, wow, I
- 2:22:53Speaker 9: just wasted five. Yeah, I hate him so much, Like
- 2:22:58Speaker 9: I'm an Xbox guy through a three.
- 2:23:00Speaker 2: I hate so yeah. Sure, it's like my personality. Yeah, yeah,
- 2:23:03Speaker 2: good job today, buddy. Always get seeing you man. You
- 2:23:04Speaker 2: guys give a new guy good luck for j Andri.
- 2:23:09Speaker 2: You can hear him every day with Brandon Kravitz and
- 2:23:11Speaker 2: might be honkey with at ninety six nine in the game.
- 2:23:14Speaker 2: And then you guys actually produced in a host of
- 2:23:16Speaker 2: the show recently too. Yeah, I did two weeks ago.
- 2:23:18Speaker 2: Enjoyed that, dude.
- 2:23:19Speaker 9: It was so much, so much on right. It's some
- 2:23:21Speaker 9: stressful a little bit, but it's fun, all right, dev
- 2:23:24Speaker 9: what's coming up for you heard here?
- 2:23:25Speaker 5: First, we got a US aircraft carrier being replaced after
- 2:23:28Speaker 5: a long deployment. Closer to home, Florida arrests a record
- 2:23:32Speaker 5: number of suspected child predators, and all right, Illinois wins
- 2:23:36Speaker 5: the jackpot, but Florida lands a big prize. We'll talk
- 2:23:39Speaker 5: about that next during you heard it here first, you
- 2:23:41Speaker 5: got it.
- 2:23:41Speaker 2: To take a little break, I'll come back and get
- 2:23:42Speaker 2: Deb's news and get the hell out of here. On
- 2:23:44Speaker 2: a Thursday, The Jim Colbert Show on.
- 2:23:46Speaker 1: YouTube, it's time for a talkback perge on The Jim
- 2:23:56Speaker 1: Colbert Show.
- 2:24:00Speaker 12: I don't feel like I know you guys, and so
- 2:24:02Speaker 12: I thought I might call in and introduce myself.
- 2:24:04Speaker 2: My name is Xavier.
- 2:24:05Speaker 12: My friends call me x Musically, I like in XCES XTC,
- 2:24:10Speaker 12: the XX. I'm very fond of railroad crossings and the
- 2:24:13Speaker 12: number ten. I never used periods of the inn of sentences,
- 2:24:17Speaker 12: exclamation points exclusively every single time I go bowling, nothing
- 2:24:23Speaker 12: but strikes. Favorite math operation is multiplication. My favorite at
- 2:24:27Speaker 12: back or is mister T. Nice to meet you, Hudsey,
- 2:24:31Speaker 12: to meet.
- 2:24:31Speaker 2: You as well. Yeah, I don't get the mister T one.
- 2:24:35Speaker 2: How's that next?
- 2:24:36Speaker 6: Do?
- 2:24:38Speaker 2: I hate when they get caught up at the end
- 2:24:42Speaker 2: if they only knew, Hey, Jimmy, this is Mike buzzer.
- 2:24:46Speaker 2: Larson here, Hey, Jimmy.
- 2:24:48Speaker 4: I buy like I said, as I hate when they
- 2:24:53Speaker 4: yet up larsening technology.
- 2:24:57Speaker 13: Mister Jim the cartographer that sounded like you after about
- 2:25:02Speaker 13: six shots the yager.
- 2:25:04Speaker 2: I've heard it before. What kind of world do we
- 2:25:10Speaker 2: live in when someone says they paid three dollars and
- 2:25:14Speaker 2: forty cents a gallon for gas and Jim is like, huh,
- 2:25:18Speaker 2: not bad. Like that's very bad. That's the exact opposite
- 2:25:23Speaker 2: of good.
- 2:25:24Speaker 3: It is very very bad.
- 2:25:26Speaker 2: I agree, But I just paid three ninety nine today
- 2:25:29Speaker 2: by comparison, So that's what I was comparing it to.
- 2:25:36Speaker 2: Did your parents have any children that lived? I bet
- 2:25:39Speaker 2: they regret that you're so ugly. You can be a
- 2:25:43Speaker 2: modern art masterpiece.
- 2:25:46Speaker 1: Flip the pancake light, the candle had a boy, go
- 2:25:51Speaker 1: get them.
- 2:25:54Speaker 2: That's your lead in deb this villain on this station.
- 2:25:58Speaker 2: Welcome back to the Jim Cooper Show. We're already four
- 2:26:00Speaker 2: point one. I've already left. I am Jim. That's the
- 2:26:02Speaker 2: per Jeb Jack and Ross are here as well. Yeah,
- 2:26:05Speaker 2: those are just a leftover talkbacks that did not either
- 2:26:08Speaker 2: well like Mike Larson's like it just stopped half way
- 2:26:11Speaker 2: through the other guy who was saying X over and
- 2:26:13Speaker 2: over and he just stopped as well. So we'll save
- 2:26:15Speaker 2: those the later. All right, ned, let's do you heard
- 2:26:19Speaker 2: it here?
- 2:26:19Speaker 1: First, it's House West on the Jim Colbert Show.
- 2:26:25Speaker 5: A new aircraft carrier is headed to the Middle East
- 2:26:27Speaker 5: after reports of mental health concerns for the crew of
- 2:26:30Speaker 5: the San Diego based USS Abraham Lincoln. The Wall Street
- 2:26:34Speaker 5: Journal says the USS George Washington left Vietnam last week,
- 2:26:37Speaker 5: and we'll be replacing the Lincoln, which has been at
- 2:26:40Speaker 5: sea for two hundred and sixty five days, setting a
- 2:26:43Speaker 5: modern carrier record for its deployment. About five thousand sailors
- 2:26:47Speaker 5: and marines have been on board the USS Abraham Lincoln
- 2:26:50Speaker 5: since November. Wow that they have been in two hundred
- 2:26:55Speaker 5: and sixty five days.
- 2:26:56Speaker 2: I haven't seen their families haven't.
- 2:26:58Speaker 5: No, partly because of the war with Iran, and family
- 2:27:00Speaker 5: members say there have been multiple attempts by some sailors
- 2:27:03Speaker 5: to jump overboard. Florida's Attorney General putting child sex predators
- 2:27:09Speaker 5: on notice. Today, AG James uugh Meyer says the state
- 2:27:13Speaker 5: arrested three more offenders, including Cape Coral Middle School science
- 2:27:17Speaker 5: teacher Graham Freeman. Surpassing the two thousand arrest threshold for
- 2:27:22Speaker 5: the year. Uth Meyer says, this is not light stuff.
- 2:27:25Speaker 17: This is some of the most grotesque sex abuse content
- 2:27:29Speaker 17: of little kids and animals. This is not a white
- 2:27:31Speaker 17: van driving around a neighborhood looking to kidnap a kid
- 2:27:34Speaker 17: in his yard. This is happening in the backs of bedrooms,
- 2:27:37Speaker 17: on cell phones, computer screens.
- 2:27:40Speaker 2: He says.
- 2:27:40Speaker 5: Today's milestone comes on the heels of one hundred and
- 2:27:43Speaker 5: sixteen people arrested in Operation Relentless Summer at two month
- 2:27:46Speaker 5: investigation by the Hillsboro County Sheriff's Office. He says he
- 2:27:49Speaker 5: hopes fd ALEE can help arrest ten thousand predators next year.
- 2:27:53Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 2:27:53Speaker 2: I just think about that. It's August. Yeah, and they've
- 2:27:57Speaker 2: arrested two thousand people for child sex crimes and past
- 2:28:01Speaker 2: the record already. Yeah, in just this state. Yeah, horrifying.
- 2:28:07Speaker 2: And you know they'll be able to make more arrests
- 2:28:10Speaker 2: the white van community. It's like, come on.
- 2:28:14Speaker 5: And then finally, it's not the grand prize, but a
- 2:28:16Speaker 5: Florida lottery player is a million dollars richer after matching
- 2:28:19Speaker 5: all five white balls and last night's powerball drawing the
- 2:28:23Speaker 5: jackpot winning ticket worth an estimated one point zero four
- 2:28:26Speaker 5: billion dollars was sold in Illinois. Now you know why
- 2:28:30Speaker 5: we call them fibbs. More than three million tickets nationwide,
- 2:28:33Speaker 5: one prizes during the drawing. The next Powerball drawing is
- 2:28:36Speaker 5: Saturday night with the jackpot resetting toy poultry twenty million dollars. Wow,
- 2:28:42Speaker 5: and you heard it here first, I'm the Jim Kolbert
- 2:28:44Speaker 5: Show guy.
- 2:28:44Speaker 2: Was on debt before the show that last night, just
- 2:28:47Speaker 2: to create a positive attitude around the drawing. I was,
- 2:28:51Speaker 2: what do you call that? Dep I was manifesting my
- 2:28:55Speaker 2: lottery win by shopping for homes in Aspen. Oh cool,
- 2:29:00Speaker 2: And I found the nicest little condo for twenty seven
- 2:29:02Speaker 2: point six million. When are you getting it? Uh? Well,
- 2:29:05Speaker 2: I don't know if you know this. And all of
- 2:29:07Speaker 2: the twenty dollars that I spent, I literally got one number,
- 2:29:10Speaker 2: and ironically it was sixty nine. Oh all right. Who
- 2:29:16Speaker 2: do we have to thank today, young lady?
- 2:29:17Speaker 5: We want to thank Mills Air for saucing up our
- 2:29:19Speaker 5: Thursday's Ocean Prime for delicious lunch. Thank you so much.
- 2:29:24Speaker 5: I also want to thank Chloe Greenberg with Orlando Weekly.
- 2:29:28Speaker 5: Attorney Glenn Klausman from klosmon Law. Jayden Grimes with his
- 2:29:31Speaker 5: eight bit update Just in case you missed Chloe's recommendations

- 2:29:47Speaker 2: Thanks you guys appreciate that Jack question today. Yeah, if
- 2:29:50Speaker 2: you have a dob, do you pick up your dobs poop?
