- 1:11I'm so glad that you guys liked our unique style of episode
- 1:15yesterday when Annabelle jumped on the mic.
- 1:17It was a very divisive conversation per the comments,
- 1:20but we knew it would be. We know you guys think Annabelle
- 1:23is delusional, but like, that's just the fangirl experience.
- 1:27Some of you guys didn't agree with me either, so that's fine.

- 1:51All right, let's get into the stories for today.
- 1:54So the first story that I have for you guys today is Alex
- 1:57Cooper has called out Alex Earl in a new TikTok.
- 2:02Alex Cooper has fired back at Alex Earl on TikTok today.
- 2:05So we know we have been covering this that Alex Earl over the
- 2:09past several months has been doing like shady reposts and
- 2:12comments all over TikTok about Alex Cooper the Call Her Daddy
- 2:16host. And Alex Cooper has finally
- 2:19decided to address it. This is what she said.
- 2:22You guys know, I don't usually address this kind of stuff
- 2:24because it feels like a waste of time and honestly it's
- 2:29embarrassing to participate in this, but I am obviously seeing
- 2:36the videos, I'm getting tagged, I see the DMSI, see the
- 2:39comments. So at this point it just feels
- 2:44long overdue. Alex Earl.
- 2:47Hey girl, the passive aggressive repost and the likes and the
- 2:54commenting on things. I gotta call you out here.
- 3:00You're gonna need to get specific and just say what you
- 3:04gotta say about me. There's no NDA, no one is
- 3:08stopping you. Stop hiding behind other people
- 3:12and just say it yourself. What's the beef?
- 3:16Because I'm really tired of waking up and seeing you using
- 3:20this fake drama to distract from other shit going online for you.
- 3:26Not interested. I know what happened and so do
- 3:30you, so talk. Unless the fake narrative that
- 3:35you're creating happens to be way more interesting than the
- 3:39truth, I have nothing to hide when it comes to you and me.
- 3:44So unless you actually have something to say, I'm out.
- 3:51This is over. Have a good Monday everyone.
- 3:54I don't need to get into the details of what's going on
- 3:57between Alex versus Alex because we have talked about this so
- 3:59many times. But the incredibly short version
- 4:03of this is that it was a business relationship that seems
- 4:05to go sour. And neither of them have ever
- 4:08really addressed what happened. But Alex Earl has always made it
- 4:11seem like Alex Cooper fucked her over.
- 4:13So this post from Alex Cooper today is seemingly in response
- 4:16to what Alex Earl reposted last week.
- 4:18I covered this last week, so go back and listen to that episode
- 4:21if you guys want the full details.
- 4:22But she reposted A TikTok by a creator that called Alex Cooper
- 4:26an ambulance chaser and totally awful.
- 4:29Now, Dave Portnoy very quickly entered the chat.
- 4:33He made a video saying that he's under the impression that their
- 4:36beef has something to do with Alex Earl's Carl's Junior
- 4:39commercial. I will say Alice Cooper has said
- 4:41this to me. Hey Dave, I apologize for the
- 4:44way call her daddy. And we acted when we were under
- 4:47the Barcelona umbrella, like it's so hard to manage talent.
- 4:52And we were kind of fucking Dick heads.
- 4:54The world knows that. And you'll still have girls who
- 4:56come at me like Dave's talking. No, listen, my relationships
- 4:59speak for themselves long term with our talent.
- 5:03I said right when call her dad, what?
- 5:06Right? When the Unwell Network signed
- 5:08Alex Earl, I was like, this is this is not going to end well.
- 5:12Alex Earl was already too big. Like when you're the network,
- 5:16you're going to find young talent, blow them up, they
- 5:18leverage your network, they become big, you pay them more
- 5:21than maybe they go on the way. Alex Earl had already, by the
- 5:23time she had come to call her daddy, was already a massive
- 5:27universe. So why she signed that deal, I
- 5:29don't know exactly what it looked like.
- 5:31It's like it makes no sense. You don't need them.
- 5:32Well, you're already fucking huge.
- 5:34But like I said, Alex grew up on Barstool.
- 5:36ALIX Earl grew up on Barstool, grew up on call her daddy.
- 5:40And I think kind of like Cooper became her idol.
- 5:42She's like, yeah, I want to do it, but it made no sense for
- 5:45from a financial standpoint because Alex Earl didn't need
- 5:49her. Now they both had the same PR
- 5:52girl, Kate Bailey. I met Kate Bailey a million
- 5:55times. Kate Bailey has told me I look
- 5:57like shit in skinny jeans. That's just false.
- 6:00I'd still wear them if I if I was skinny, but I'm fat.
- 6:03She dates Mario Carbone. Big swinging Dick.
- 6:05She was the PR lady for the Demilios and I've been to dinner
- 6:09with Alex Cooper and Kate Bailey like Kate Bailey and them were
- 6:13close and then Kate Bailey became Alex Earls PR girl.
- 6:17I've heard this all stems the real brouhaha over that Carl's
- 6:21Junior commercial and that was Alex Earl who starred in it.
- 6:26I assume it went through Kate Bailey and I think Alice Cooper
- 6:29wanted it and there's back and forth and who gets paid goes
- 6:32through the network. I don't know if that's 100%
- 6:34true, but I've heard that's kind of where all this shit started
- 6:37going. Go back to Carl's burger, but
- 6:42the overall theme to me and I do agree with Cooper, although she
- 6:46said, hey, Alex Earl, why don't you say what the issue is?
- 6:49Why stop Hemming and haring and just say it?
- 6:52Well, you should say it too. Alex Gore.
- 6:54Both say what the fucking issue is and I've known this as a fact
- 6:57that I've heard, I believe from Alex Earl's mouth.
- 6:59I'm rambling. Her dad is like you should
- 7:02handle shit like Dave handles it.
- 7:03Just say what it is, be honest, and you'll never get in trouble
- 7:07that. Way side note, but my friend
- 7:09who's also in media messaged me today and she was like, if I'm
- 7:12almost 50, like Dave Portnoy talking about 20 something
- 7:15influencers for my brand to keep it relevant and to keep making
- 7:19money, like literally put me out to pasture.
- 7:21Like that would be the final straw for me.
- 7:24And I was like, I cannot agree more.
- 7:26OK so at first I was thinking maybe this was Alex Cooper
- 7:30trying to do PR damage control. Like, do you guys remember last
- 7:34week when I said that I feel like sentiment towards Alex
- 7:37Cooper is shifting increasingly negative.
- 7:40At first I was wondering if this had something to do with that.
- 7:42Like I wonder if she slash her team in general started to
- 7:46notice that. And Alex Earl's constant like
- 7:49reposting and comments and all of that kind of shadiness is
- 7:52obviously not helping that. So I was thinking maybe this is
- 7:55like in an effort to revamp her image.
- 7:58And if that's the case, I actually do think it's like kind
- 8:00of working. I've seen a lot of posts on my
- 8:03For You page today of people saying, you know what Alex Earl
- 8:06actually like has been unprofessional about this.
- 8:08And if she has something to say, then she should just fucking say
- 8:11it. And Alex Cooper has been, you
- 8:13know, relatively professional about all of this.
- 8:15And people are kind of like on Alex Cooper's side all of a
- 8:17sudden from this video. So that, like, might actually be
- 8:21working if that is the strategy here.
- 8:23And I also wanted to play a really interesting TikTok from
- 8:25Kira Bria. I don't agree with all of the
- 8:27points that she's made here, but I think she had an interesting
- 8:30point when she said that Alex Earl is more palatable to us
- 8:33because she speaks less than Alex Cooper.
- 8:36And it's like this implicit bias that we have about women.
- 8:39She can explain it a lot better. I'm going to play the clip.
- 8:41Alex V Alex makes me think about the relationship between
- 8:43visibility, likability and audibility as a woman because I
- 8:46think Alex Earl is more visible than she is audible.
- 8:50Like you think about her for a visual aspect more than an
- 8:52audible aspect. And Alex Cooper is the opposite.
- 8:55And I do think that's why she gets more hate.
- 8:56She also is visibly a business person.
- 8:59Even though Alex Earl is such a business person, it's less
- 9:02visible. She doesn't bring that to the
- 9:04forefront in a way that Alex Cooper, it's obvious because,
- 9:06you know, she got like a Spotify deal.
- 9:08So you know a little bit more about her money.
- 9:09And that I think automatically makes people not like her
- 9:13because people really are upset with her for being ubiquitous
- 9:15and being successful. Like most of the critiques are.
- 9:19Well, she has too many big interviews with big guests.
- 9:24I'm so sorry. And then in every single other
- 9:27part of the Internet, including Coachella conversation right
- 9:30now, people seem to really care about politics and really care
- 9:33about people's political affiliations.
- 9:35But with Alex Earl, she's like one of the only people I can
- 9:39think of that really benefits from the doubt that people seem
- 9:43to like be like, oh, she might be MAGA, but like, whatever.
- 9:46I guess in no other situation do you take someone who's obviously
- 9:49spoken out for reproductive rights being Alex Cooper versus
- 9:54someone who's never spoken out for, I kid you not, anything to
- 10:00do with anyone's rights. But I think she's a little less
- 10:03vocal in general, and I think the more you talk period, as a
- 10:11woman, your stock goes down in likability.
- 10:15OK, so that was like my initial thought was maybe this is like
- 10:18PR damage control. Like I kind of thought that this
- 10:19was real. And then when Dave Portnoy
- 10:22entered the chat, I started to think, I think that this might
- 10:25be promo for something that they're doing together.
- 10:27Like him mentioning Carl's Junior specifically makes me
- 10:31think that maybe they're going to be doing like a joint
- 10:33commercial or like maybe they're going to be doing a joint brand
- 10:36deal or something like that for Carl's Junior.
- 10:38And even if it has nothing to do with the brand and Dave is like
- 10:41not in on this, the general sentiment seems to be that they
- 10:44are probably going back into business together or Alex Earl
- 10:47will be on Call Her Daddy as the guest next week.
- 10:50I think the Internet would love if they sat down and properly
- 10:54hashed out their drama on the podcast.
- 10:56Do I think they would actually do proper drama hashing out?
- 10:59No, I think it would be very like PR, very vanilla.
- 11:04Like, I actually don't think they would probably get into the
- 11:07meat and potatoes of everything in detail.
- 11:09So I fear we might be disappointed, but we'll see.
- 11:13OK. The next story that I have for
- 11:15you guys today is Brazilian football player Georginio has
- 11:19backtracked on his ACU against Chapel run.
- 11:22I'm sorry, I keep talking about Chapel.
- 11:23I mean, I also keep talking about Alex Earl and Alex Cooper,
- 11:26but like a Chapel run like update podcast at this point.
- 11:28So we actually did cover this saga genuinely on every single
- 11:32podcast on our network except for Touch Grass.
- 11:35But for a very high level refresher, last month, Georginio
- 11:38posted about an instant on Instagram.
- 11:41He alleged that Chapel Rd's security guard became aggressive
- 11:44towards his wife and his stepdaughter after his
- 11:46stepdaughter smiled at Chapel in a hotel during breakfast.
- 11:50In his original post, he said that his daughter was extremely
- 11:53shaken by what happened and he also criticized Chapel,
- 11:56suggesting she wasn't able to handle the realities of fame.
- 11:58This escalated a lot. And following the backlash, the
- 12:01mayor of Rio de Janeiro actually banned Chapel.
- 12:04Like publicly tweeted banning Chapel from performing at the
- 12:07city's music festival. It got so out of hand.
- 12:11Chapel responded on her Instagram stories, saying it
- 12:13wasn't fair for the security to automatically assume that people
- 12:16have bad intentions. She said she didn't see a mother
- 12:18and a child and that nobody bothered her during breakfast.
- 12:22Then Georgina's wife, Catherine Harding, made a video saying
- 12:25that the security guard was Chapel security guard.
- 12:29She didn't give, like, the details of who he was to Chapel,
- 12:31but that he was basically involved with Chapel.
- 12:33So people were like, OK, well, like, why would she lie about
- 12:36that? She obviously knew.
- 12:38And then the security guard came out and said I am not Chabon's
- 12:42personal security guard. And he basically debunked what
- 12:46Catherine and Georgina were saying.
- 12:47So now we're caught up. OK, so this is what Georgina
- 12:50posted on his Instagram stories today.
- 12:52He said. I would like to give an update
- 12:54on what happened during Lala Weekend as we have been seeing
- 12:57and hearing a lot over the past few weeks and felt it was
- 12:59important to clarify everything now that new information has
- 13:02come to light. I made my initial statement in
- 13:04the heat of the moment after hearing that my child and wife
- 13:06had been approached by an adult male security guard in an
- 13:09intimidating way. I reacted as any father would.
- 13:12My priority is and always will be protecting my family and that
- 13:15is exactly what I did. I also want to make it clear
- 13:17that the situation did occur as it was originally described at
- 13:20the time we acted on the information that was available
- 13:22to us. Since then I've become aware of
- 13:24new information that has changed my understanding of parts of
- 13:26what happened. Chapel Run made a public
- 13:28statement, reached out privately to Catherine and our teams also
- 13:31spoke directly. It became clear she had no
- 13:33knowledge of what took place at breakfast and had not asked
- 13:36anyone to approach them. She was understanding and
- 13:39sympathetic to what had happened to our child.
- 13:41The security guard himself has since confirmed publicly that he
- 13:44was representing another artist at the hotel at the time.
- 13:47While we still do not know what prompted him to approach them,
- 13:50and do not believe in 11 Year Old at Breakfast could
- 13:52reasonably be seen as any kind of security threat, it is now
- 13:55clear that he was not acting on behalf of Chapel.
- 13:58It was ultimately a misunderstanding in that respect
- 14:01and I'm glad to set the record straight.
- 14:02It's important to me that this is clarified fairly and
- 14:05accurately. I regret the impact of the
- 14:06situation has had on Chapel, Catherine, Ada and her family.
- 14:09OK, so I actually am like so happy that he posted this.
- 14:13There was a lot of he said, she said.
- 14:15And the Internet arguably believed him.
- 14:17Actually somebody in our discord when this was first happening
- 14:20wrote, this is paraphrasing, but they basically wrote like, why
- 14:23are we believing this soccer player man who wasn't even there
- 14:27when this happened? And he's just like putting
- 14:29Chapel on public blast. And this is, again, not like
- 14:32total defensive Chapel, but it felt like such a targeted
- 14:35reaction when he wasn't even there.
- 14:37And the story was very like murky, like there was a lot of
- 14:40missing information. People were saying different
- 14:42things and to put somebody on blast like that, like whether
- 14:46it's Chapel Ron or like anybody else, to put them on blast like
- 14:48that, tag them and be like, you should treat your fans better.
- 14:50Like I can't believe you did this to my daughter who's 11 and
- 14:53like that everybody's making memes that Chapel Ron like hates
- 14:5611 year olds. Like it just got so out of hand.
- 14:59And for it to not even be true. I think his initial post was
- 15:03really unprofessional. I understand.
- 15:05I am sure that being angry about your stepdaughter and how she
- 15:08was treated like that is of course, like he said, like
- 15:10that's a natural reaction for a father.
- 15:12But then to take to Instagram stories instead of finding a way
- 15:15to like contact her team personally or in any other
- 15:18capacity, dealing with this, then putting her on public blast
- 15:22when like you are a celebrity and she is a celebrity too.
- 15:24And then you've just sent this, like, hate campaign towards her
- 15:27when it turns out it wasn't even true.
- 15:30That was pretty wild, OK. And the last story that I have
- 15:32for you guys today is influencer Branflakes has addressed his
- 15:36Starbucks Coachella brand trip backlash.
- 15:39So Branflakes is under fire after attending a Coachella
- 15:42brand trip with Starbucks amid the boycott.
- 15:44I'm going to be honest, I did not know if I was going to make
- 15:46it to Coachella this year. I had heard nothing from brands.
- 15:50And two weeks ago I get an invite to go with Starbucks.
- 15:53Like vanilla iced latte that I've been drinking since I was
- 15:5614 years old. Starbucks.
- 15:58So here we are. Four contacts There are a few
- 16:00reasons why people are boycotting Starbucks the
- 16:03overarching reason is that they want to stand in solidarity with
- 16:06the workers and the Workers Union and while Starbucks isn't
- 16:09on the official BDS list, Israel is involved in the reasoning
- 16:12behind the Starbucks boycott. I don't want to get this
- 16:14incorrect so I will read a quote directly from the Business and
- 16:17Human Rights Center quote the Starbucks Workers United Unions
- 16:20pro Palestinian social media posts are hurting the coffee
- 16:23chain in more ways than one, the company alleges.
- 16:26But the union says that's just an excuse for Starbucks to hit
- 16:29back at organized labor. On October 9th, this is October
- 16:339th, 2023, the union posted a sense deleted image of a
- 16:36bulldozer tearing down a part of the Israel and Gaza border with
- 16:40the text Solidarity for Palestine.
- 16:42While union chapters in Iowa, Chicago and Boston promoted
- 16:45rallies in support of Palestinians, Starbucks
- 16:48clarified its stance and sent the union a cease and desist
- 16:50letter to stop using the company's name and images that
- 16:53resemble its logo. When that yielded no response,
- 16:56Starbucks resorted to filing a lawsuit in Iowa.
- 16:59The union hit back when its own complaint against Starbucks
- 17:01filed the same day in federal court in Pennsylvania, saying no
- 17:04one was confusing the company with the union.
- 17:06And now the Starbucks union has been fighting for a fair union
- 17:09contract, which has included strikes.
- 17:12And many customers around the world are standing in solidarity
- 17:15with the workers through a boycott.
- 17:17So when you see people online saying, like, aren't we
- 17:19boycotting Starbucks? Like that's what they mean.
- 17:21So what the union is fighting for?
- 17:23This is from their official website.
- 17:25A raise to $17.00 an hour for lowest paid union baristas. 3
- 17:29workers on the floor at all times.
- 17:31More hours before new hires, 4% annual raises, non
- 17:36discrimination, just cause protections so people can't be
- 17:39fired, just cause job impact, support when changes happen,
- 17:43grievance procedures, fair dress code, health and safety
- 17:46measures, and no more union busting and resolving
- 17:50outstanding issues. So influencers, creators,
- 17:52podcasters who have been aligning with Starbucks in
- 17:55sponsorships and things like that over the past couple of
- 17:57years, they've been getting a lot of backlash due to these
- 17:59boycotts. Then Starbucks took a bunch of
- 18:02influencers to Coachella this weekend, and Bran Flakes was one
- 18:05of them. And his audience has been super
- 18:08disappointed in him. So there's a couple reasons
- 18:11here. First is that Bran Flakes,
- 18:13really sorry, I can't call him not Bran Flakes Bran.
- 18:16So Bran is very much someone who speaks out about issues.
- 18:19And in January, he made a TikTok in which he said this.
- 18:21And I for one would rather lose any brand partnership than be
- 18:24silent and have people speculate what is brand's views?
- 18:28What is he thinking? Is he in the Gray area?
- 18:30Did he vote for this? I think I made it very clear
- 18:33where I stand. But if I have not, what is going
- 18:35on in the country is absolutely fucking disgusting.
- 18:37That's one reason why people are really disappointed in him is
- 18:40they feel like Starbucks and him promoting Starbucks is like
- 18:43incomplete opposition to how he positions himself.
- 18:46The other reason is that part of his shtick is that he is really
- 18:51transparent about what being an influencer has given him,
- 18:54including his money, including all of the financials behind it
- 18:58and his income. And I actually think Bran is
- 19:01gearing up to maybe launch like his own talent agency or maybe
- 19:05some type of like influencer course.
- 19:07Like I, I'm seeing the big picture from like the content
- 19:10that he's been posting recently. And I really feel like he's
- 19:12trying to transition out of like, you know, just kind of
- 19:14like drunk story times and vlogs and stuff like that to, you
- 19:18know, you know, teaching people about the industry.
- 19:20And I feel like it's because he's gearing up for his next
- 19:22stage in the industry, which is like, obviously not being like
- 19:25necessarily a full time influencer, but like launching
- 19:27some type of business. I think it will have something
- 19:29to do with that. But anyway, so he is very
- 19:31transparent about how much money he makes.
- 19:33And I think we've even covered it.
- 19:34He said last year he made $1,000,000 from being an
- 19:38influencer over $1,000,000. So people are like Bran, You
- 19:43could have for sure paid for your own Coachella tickets.
- 19:46Why did you have to go with Starbucks?
- 19:48And now Bran has addressed this backlash and a new TikTok.
- 19:51I want to apologize for starting off a video saying I didn't know
- 19:56if I was going to go to Coachella this year because I
- 19:58didn't know if brands were going to send me that did not land and
- 20:02I get that. Fucking tone deaf as shit.
- 20:06No defense for that. I'm very open about the fact
- 20:08online that I am a huge liberal. I'm hugely against Trump.
- 20:12I'm hugely against ICE. I passionately believe in
- 20:16women's rights, trans rights, LGBTQ rights.
- 20:19And because of those stances, I've lost a lot of brand
- 20:21partnerships and I've never cared because I've made in a lot
- 20:25of videos that you guys are now posting and seeing resurface.
- 20:28I would rather lose a partnership then make my stance
- 20:31on something unclear. I stand by all of that.
- 20:35This weekend I partnered with a brand that, despite everything
- 20:39that they've seen and you've seen about my political views,
- 20:43was happy to partner with me. This brand and every other brand
- 20:47in the world has never been boycotted by me.
- 20:51I have never once come on this app.
- 20:53And if I have, please find in the comments you post the link
- 20:57of where I said these are the brands I'm boycotting.
- 21:00Every single big corporation you could think of has unfortunately
- 21:03had ties to the man in charge right now.
- 21:06Now if your issue with the partnership I did was with how
- 21:10the brand handled a conflict in the Middle East, you in
- 21:13particular want to boycott any brands that has had ties to the
- 21:16situation in the Middle East. Ones here are ones that most of
- 21:21us use and support. If you can confidently look
- 21:25through every single item on that boycott list and say you do
- 21:27not use any of those items, RIP me apart in those comments.
- 21:32Oh, so for real, I'm a glutton at the end of the day and you
- 21:35want to get a Diet Coke? Or if you want to get Mac and
- 21:38cheese from Chick-fil-A, You have to, you know, you have to
- 21:41live. And if we keep making it the end
- 21:44of the world, we're just going to keep losing.
- 21:46OK, So this is not going down super well as you can imagine.
- 21:50It's interesting because some of the top comments about this are
- 21:53people basically saying, if you just said, like, yeah, I caved,
- 21:57I wanted to go to Coachella and Starbucks offered me free
- 22:00tickets, a full experience, and I took it, then maybe it would
- 22:05have gone down better. And if we didn't know, you know,
- 22:07how much he makes and if he wasn't very vocal about his
- 22:10stance on different things and didn't make these videos kind of
- 22:13like preaching, like, you'll never see me, you know, align
- 22:16with these different brands. If they don't align with my
- 22:18values and things like that, then, you know, people would
- 22:21have had such an issue. And one of the top comments on
- 22:24TikTok is by Golden Hour Goods hoods who wrote.
- 22:27Not sure if my first comment was deleted or not so reiterating my
- 22:30previous one. People making purchases out of
- 22:32necessity due to lack of resources, accessibility and
- 22:35money is very very different than choosing to accept money
- 22:37from a brand for a music festival that is completely
- 22:40optional. It's extremely disappointing to
- 22:42see these choices made when the platform that got you these
- 22:45brands to reach out in the first place was built on supporting
- 22:48and uplifting minority groups and small businesses.
- 22:50Because that is a big part of brands content as well is he is
- 22:53consistently posting about like small businesses is around his
- 22:57area and like really uplifting different voices in his
- 23:00community. Anyways, guys, that's it from
- 23:01any school today. Thank you so much for listening.
