- 0:59Speaker 1: and story along with some of his own personal experiences,
- 1:02Speaker 1: to confirm for you God's great love for us, that
- 1:05Speaker 1: his compassion for us never fails, and that He has
- 1:08Speaker 1: a great faithfulness toward us in every regard. Now, if
- 1:11Speaker 1: you miss a portion of today's broadcast or would like
- 1:13Speaker 1: to recommend it to a friend, you can hear this
- 1:16Speaker 1: program anytime online at Talknetwork Radio dot com. Well, now
- 1:21Speaker 1: here's Richard with today's Reflection.
- 1:24Speaker 2: To another is given the Word of Knowledge through the
- 1:28Speaker 2: same spirit we discussed in the Nine Gifts of the
- 1:33Speaker 2: Holy Spirit, the application of the Word of Knowledge. We
- 1:40Speaker 2: gave an example, actually one that I had experienced, and
- 1:45Speaker 2: I'm sure perhaps many of you have had similar examples
- 1:50Speaker 2: of this particular gift manifesting in your own life. Sometimes
- 1:55Speaker 2: this gift is operating and we don't realize it. At
- 2:00Speaker 2: the same time, there are points when we do realize it,
- 2:05Speaker 2: as was explained in the situation where I was given
- 2:11Speaker 2: the gift of the Word of knowledge to impart to
- 2:16Speaker 2: me that an individual was having a pain in their
- 2:22Speaker 2: chest at that specific moment, and that caused the individual
- 2:28Speaker 2: to turn around and come back and ask how did
- 2:33Speaker 2: I know that that was taking place? Is a result
- 2:38Speaker 2: of that particular manifestation which I had no control over,
- 2:43Speaker 2: the Holy Spirit chose to use me as just a
- 2:48Speaker 2: willing vessel to bring this other individual to a saving
- 2:53Speaker 2: knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. What is the gift
- 2:59Speaker 2: of the Word of my life knowledge? Why is it
- 3:02Speaker 2: that it has such an important function as all the gifts?
- 3:07Speaker 2: Do we know that this gift is one that gives
- 3:13Speaker 2: us knowledge where we are actually not able in our
- 3:20Speaker 2: own limited and imperfect state to be able to receive
- 3:26Speaker 2: by learning this is supernatural knowledge, and it means that
- 3:33Speaker 2: we receive these words of knowledge from the Lord in
- 3:39Speaker 2: many cases on a very regular and frequent basis, in
- 3:43Speaker 2: order just to go through our life safely. Sometimes they're
- 3:50Speaker 2: warnings and other times they are just a means of feeling. Now,
- 3:55Speaker 2: I don't want to put a great deal of emphasis
- 3:58Speaker 2: on feeling, but also don't want to dismiss it because
- 4:02Speaker 2: there are certain things that we could feel that would
- 4:06Speaker 2: not be of a natural means. So how does the
- 4:11Speaker 2: Holy Spirit manifest this specific gift. One of the things
- 4:16Speaker 2: that we can learn from the Holy Spirit is that
- 4:21Speaker 2: he will manifest the gift a lot more than we
- 4:27Speaker 2: might realize, but we actually can become better taught to
- 4:35Speaker 2: understand how he can use this gift in the first place.
- 4:41Speaker 2: You see, the Word of Knowledge is simply the Holy
- 4:44Speaker 2: Spirit transmitting to us his specific knowledge on something or
- 4:52Speaker 2: someone that you would really have no natural ability or
- 4:58Speaker 2: means to know other than with his revealing it. There's
- 5:05Speaker 2: no knowledge or intelligence that we could learn that would
- 5:10Speaker 2: replace the gift of the Word of knowledge. It is
- 5:15Speaker 2: supernatural knowledge and insight. It's being given directly to us
- 5:21Speaker 2: by the Holy Spirit himself. This doesn't come by our
- 5:25Speaker 2: own mind, our own intellect, or anything that we might
- 5:29Speaker 2: have learned. There are words of knowledge that you can
- 5:35Speaker 2: receive direct from the Holy Spirit that can literally cover
- 5:41Speaker 2: many types of things in our daily life. They can
- 5:45Speaker 2: cover anything from something as trivial as where you might
- 5:50Speaker 2: have misplaced something, or it could give you life saving
- 5:55Speaker 2: knowledge on how to solve and impending crisis or an emergency.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Here are just a few examples of where we can
- 6:05Speaker 2: receive a direct word of knowledge from the Holy Spirit
- 6:09Speaker 2: and it can cover anything and everything in our lives.
- 6:14Speaker 2: For students, it could be how to solve a particular
- 6:17Speaker 2: math problem at school, where they've sorted it out, tried
- 6:22Speaker 2: to do things to reason it, and the Holy Spirit
- 6:26Speaker 2: gives them the solution. How do you solve a specific
- 6:31Speaker 2: problem at perhaps your place of employment. We already talked
- 6:36Speaker 2: about misplacing something and not being able to find it.
- 6:40Speaker 2: There's also knowledge on what certain scripture versus may mean
- 6:45Speaker 2: and how it can apply to our own personal life.
- 6:50Speaker 2: How can we properly witness to an unsaved family member,
- 6:54Speaker 2: How to solve a marital dispute or a family problem?
- 7:00Speaker 2: Are the new business where to look for that next
- 7:03Speaker 2: new job if you've just been laid off, Who does
- 7:08Speaker 2: God want you to spend your life with, to marry
- 7:13Speaker 2: and to share life with. How to counsel someone who
- 7:17Speaker 2: has really experienced an impending tragedy which has hit them
- 7:23Speaker 2: in a very full, forceful manner. What your specific calling
- 7:28Speaker 2: in the Lord is going to be in this life
- 7:32Speaker 2: very important and the word of knowledge that God wants
- 7:36Speaker 2: to heal someone of a specific illness. As was demonstrated
- 7:42Speaker 2: in the example that I gave, where I knew that
- 7:47Speaker 2: this individual was experiencing pain, God healed him, saved him,
- 7:53Speaker 2: and brought him into a position where he is preaching
- 7:58Speaker 2: the Gospel because of a transformed life. As we can
- 8:03Speaker 2: see from these examples, there are literally nothing that the
- 8:09Speaker 2: Holy Spirit cannot get involved in our own personal life
- 8:14Speaker 2: where he can give us a word of knowledge on
- 8:18Speaker 2: how to properly navigate or handle something that we're currently
- 8:24Speaker 2: dealing with, or give us a word of knowledge to
- 8:27Speaker 2: help someone else out with whatever may be their particular
- 8:32Speaker 2: issue in life. With our own knowledge levels being very
- 8:37Speaker 2: limited and imperfect so incomplete, we all need the gift
- 8:44Speaker 2: of the Word of knowledge from the Lord on some
- 8:48Speaker 2: kind of regular basis in this light, so that we
- 8:52Speaker 2: can make it through this light and in not only
- 8:56Speaker 2: one piece, and get to where we need to go
- 9:00Speaker 2: in our divine destinies with him. How exactly does the
- 9:06Speaker 2: Holy Spirit transmit an actual word of knowledge to us?
- 9:12Speaker 2: One way that he will communicate a word of knowledge
- 9:15Speaker 2: to us is through what is called the inner knowing.
- 9:20Speaker 2: The Bible says that the Holy Spirit will bear witness
- 9:25Speaker 2: with our human spirits. This inner witness is what is
- 9:29Speaker 2: called the inner knowing. All of a sudden we will
- 9:34Speaker 2: receive a without a doubt type of knowing on the
- 9:39Speaker 2: knowledge that he's trying to transmit to us, and it
- 9:43Speaker 2: can come in the form of a thought or an
- 9:46Speaker 2: impression on our mind. Sometimes it can even be in
- 9:50Speaker 2: the form of a vision or a picture that shows
- 9:53Speaker 2: up in our mind's eyes.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Richard will be right back in a moment to wrap up.
- 9:58Speaker 1: But if you just joined us you've been listening to
- 10:00Speaker 1: Reflections on the Word with Richard Ka. You can hear
- 10:04Speaker 1: this message in its entirety again online as well as
- 10:07Speaker 1: Richard's entire archive at Talknetwork Radio dot com. We would
- 10:12Speaker 1: like to acknowledge our theme song, how Great Is Thy
- 10:14Speaker 1: Faithfulness from the America's twenty five Favorite Hymns album unless otherwise.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Express scriptures are read from the Holman Christian Standard Bible,
- 10:24Speaker 1: which is published by Homann Bible Publishers in Nashville, Tennessee.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Additional resources used for Reflections on the Word with Richard
- 10:31Speaker 1: k include Great Is Thy Faithfulness by Our Daily Bread
- 10:36Speaker 1: and printed by Discovery House Publishers. Again, here is Richard
- 10:40Speaker 1: to wrap up today's message.
- 10:44Speaker 2: We found from personal experience that the Holy Spirit wants
- 10:48Speaker 2: to communicate knowledge through visions, pictures, as well as impressions.
- 10:56Speaker 2: That he gives what we experience in so many ways
- 11:03Speaker 2: can help others as well as ourselves. Think of the
- 11:08Speaker 2: ramifications and the possibilities with just this one special gift alone,
- 11:16Speaker 2: that the Holy Spirit himself can transmit his own divine
- 11:21Speaker 2: knowledge to us on something that we cannot solve or
- 11:25Speaker 2: figure out on our own. This is why this particular
- 11:30Speaker 2: gift is so important and so needed in this day
- 11:35Speaker 2: and age, as most of us are always facing some
- 11:39Speaker 2: kind of roadblock or obstacle on a regular basis in
- 11:43Speaker 2: our daily lives. As such, we all need the knowledge
- 11:47Speaker 2: of God flowing through us so we can make it
- 11:51Speaker 2: through all of these obstacles and then get to where
- 11:56Speaker 2: we need to go with the Lord and fully accomplish
- 12:00Speaker 2: everything that He wants for us to do for him
- 12:05Speaker 2: in this life. That is why the Bible tells us
- 12:09Speaker 2: that without knowledge we can perish and go into captivity
- 12:14Speaker 2: in this life, and sometimes only the supernatural knowledge of
- 12:19Speaker 2: God can help keep us out of harm's way in
- 12:24Speaker 2: this light, since our own knowledge and intelligent levels are
- 12:29Speaker 2: so imperfect and so limited and that is today's Reflection
- 12:37Speaker 2: on the work.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Thank you, Richard. Join us again tomorrow when we continue
