- 0:02Speaker 1: Today's Variety Big ninety eight point seven. Who's this? This
- 0:05Speaker 1: is Emily. Emily, how are you doing this morning? Where
- 0:07Speaker 1: are you calling from? Moorheads?
- 0:09Speaker 2: All right, so I'm just calling about the matching tattoo things.
- 0:12Speaker 1: And I did get one.
- 0:14Speaker 2: With the best friend. It was like a starburst behind
- 0:16Speaker 2: my ear. And we're no longer friends.
- 0:22Speaker 3: I'm telling you, so you do grow aparty.
- 0:25Speaker 2: So just that we're not friends because we don't talk.
- 0:27Speaker 2: She just lives in Virginia and I'm here. But on
- 0:30Speaker 2: the side, note, it's a good matching tattoo, So I
- 0:33Speaker 2: think of every time I see it.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Do you tell people that it means something else as
- 0:38Speaker 1: opposed to it's for your best friends?
- 0:41Speaker 2: Like, what's that behind your ear?
- 0:42Speaker 1: I said, a mistake? No, I do love that vocal.
- 0:48Speaker 4: What is your matching tattoo story? Do you have a
- 0:52Speaker 4: matching tattoo with someone? Call as seven oh one two
- 0:55Speaker 4: one nine eighty seven. Cynthia Arrivo and Ariana Grande got
- 0:59Speaker 4: matching tattoo to mark the end of working on the
- 1:02Speaker 4: movie Wicked for Good together and it just says for
- 1:06Speaker 4: good and they have them on their palms. I don't
- 1:10Speaker 4: have a matching tattoo with anyone.
- 1:14Speaker 3: Gabe, you and I.
- 1:15Speaker 4: Work together on this show. Yeah, we should maybe get
- 1:20Speaker 4: matching tattoos. If Cynthia and Ariana could do it, why
- 1:23Speaker 4: not us?
- 1:24Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, I'm all for I'm tatted.
- 1:27Speaker 4: That's the other thing is you're tatted up, so you
- 1:30Speaker 4: don't care.
- 1:31Speaker 1: I believe God, I tat it up. It's not that crazy.
- 1:33Speaker 1: But I do have like more than two. Yeah, you're
- 1:35Speaker 1: not that cool you need I am the least cool
- 1:39Speaker 1: person to have tattoos. But if you have a matching
- 1:43Speaker 1: one seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven,
- 1:46Speaker 1: or if you have an idea that maybe Angie and
- 1:50Speaker 1: I could do for the seven Morning Show, I could
- 1:53Speaker 1: be talked into just about anything.
- 1:55Speaker 4: Yeah, me too, honest sleep peer pressure gets me.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Let me tell you about my friends A variety big
- 2:07Speaker 1: ninety eight point seven. Who's this, Christie, Christy? How you doing?
- 2:10Speaker 1: Where are you calling from?
- 2:11Speaker 2: I'm calling from Fargo.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Oh beautiful Christy. Do you have a matching tattoo with someone?
- 2:15Speaker 2: I do have a matching tattoo with three friends.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Three friend This is a little bit of a tripod
- 2:21Speaker 1: or a quad pod situation.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Yes, we took a lady's trip to Chicago for a
- 2:26Speaker 2: couple of music festivals, and before one of the festivals,
- 2:29Speaker 2: we went and got a matching arrow tattoos, and the
- 2:35Speaker 2: next didn't take a look at him until the next day,
- 2:38Speaker 2: woke up and didn't know if I had had a
- 2:40Speaker 2: little too much fun left the night before or if
- 2:43Speaker 2: my tattoo, my arrow, was actually crooked. Turns out yes,
- 2:47Speaker 2: I was the one that got the crooked tattoo, so
- 2:49Speaker 2: when I got back to Fargo, I had to have
- 2:51Speaker 2: that repaired. Oh no, I guess you could say it
- 2:55Speaker 2: doesn't really match anymore.
- 2:57Speaker 1: So I like the strategy of getting multiple besties involved,
- 3:02Speaker 1: because then if one person has a falling out, you're
- 3:05Speaker 1: still good with the two others.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Today's variety Big ninety eight point seven. It's gave an Angie.
- 3:12Speaker 1: We get sunshine and fifty six today, a great way
- 3:16Speaker 1: to start the week. Hopefully you got maybe an extra
- 3:19Speaker 1: hour of sleep today. I mean, I know you definitely
- 3:21Speaker 1: did yesterday. Hopefully you still enjoy the effects of that
- 3:25Speaker 1: today as daylight savings time has ended and we are
- 3:29Speaker 1: gearing up for a fun day at work today. Angie,
- 3:32Speaker 1: you know why our Minnesota Vikings did not embarrass themselves
- 3:38Speaker 1: yesterday as they take down the Detroit Lions. All right,
- 3:42Speaker 1: in a game I thought they were going to I'm
- 3:44Speaker 1: not kidding you. I thought maybe they'd play a little
- 3:46Speaker 1: bit better with JJ being back on the field, maybe
- 3:48Speaker 1: he'd show a little something here. I went into that
- 3:51Speaker 1: game going, you know, if they lose forty one to
- 3:53Speaker 1: like twenty eight, I'd be all right. Yeah, but it
- 3:56Speaker 1: was a close game. It was a fun game. It
- 3:58Speaker 1: was fun to watch. It was a just like every
- 4:01Speaker 1: Vike's game that has ever existed. But very very excited
- 4:05Speaker 1: after seeing JJ be able to get back on the
- 4:08Speaker 1: field yesterday, So that would be like my major victory.
- 4:11Speaker 3: I'm gonna say, Yes, this is your little victories. This
- 4:13Speaker 3: where we're headed.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Yeah, well we are headed to little victories right now.
- 4:16Speaker 1: But I have a different little victory for you this morning.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Do you want to go first?
- 4:26Speaker 4: Sure?
- 4:26Speaker 1: Would you like me to kick this off?
- 4:28Speaker 4: I feel like you're excited and in the zone, So please, Gabe,
- 4:32Speaker 4: you kick it off all right.
- 4:33Speaker 1: I don't mind if I do. I want to give
- 4:35Speaker 1: a big shout out to Todd Thompson here this morning. Yesterday,
- 4:40Speaker 1: you your boyfriend, Mike me and my lovely wife. We
- 4:45Speaker 1: met at Frank's lounge to watch the Vikings Lions game.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Mike Is was born in Michigan. Yeah, he is a
- 4:53Speaker 1: Detroit Lions fan. And he's not one of them Detroit
- 4:56Speaker 1: Lions fans who like, oh I'm a fan now because
- 4:58Speaker 1: they're good and they were tear for forty years. Now
- 5:01Speaker 1: he is doing there, that's right. He made it through.
- 5:04Speaker 1: He suffered through some dark, dark Detroit Lion seasons. Yeah,
- 5:08Speaker 1: but you know what, he has hung on and now deservedly.
- 5:11Speaker 1: So they are good and he kind of gets to
- 5:13Speaker 1: reap those benefits.
- 5:14Speaker 4: Yeah, except for that they lost yesterday, but it's fine
- 5:17Speaker 4: because I feel like the Vikes need it away.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Oh boy did we ever. And so we are watching
- 5:22Speaker 1: the game together, having a great time. It was a
- 5:24Speaker 1: lot of fun, and you know, it's always awesome when
- 5:26Speaker 1: we get to hang out outside of work a little bit.
- 5:29Speaker 1: But we're sitting down and the Lions march down the
- 5:31Speaker 1: field and score, and then the Vikes score, and then
- 5:34Speaker 1: right then and there, I go, all right, I think
- 5:35Speaker 1: it's time for a little bathroom break. I go up
- 5:38Speaker 1: go to the bathroom. As I'm walking back to our table,
- 5:40Speaker 1: this gentleman named Todd Thompson was like, oh, hey, are
- 5:43Speaker 1: you Gabe from the Big ninety eight point seven Morning Show?
- 5:46Speaker 1: And I was like, oh, yeah, nice to meet you, dude.
- 5:48Speaker 1: What's up? YadA, YadA, YadA, And he was like, oh,
- 5:50Speaker 1: I listen to you guys every morning. I love you guys,
- 5:52Speaker 1: and you're going to be seeing my wife on Wednesday.
- 5:55Speaker 1: She works at a cent of Health. When we kind
- 5:57Speaker 1: of put a bow on bras on Big we did
- 6:00Speaker 1: all October whoa yeah, So it was very very cool.
- 6:04Speaker 1: So Todd definitely thanks for saying hey, And it was
- 6:06Speaker 1: cool sitting by you and kind of shooting the breeze.
- 6:08Speaker 4: Yeah, you introduced me to him and it was cool. See,
- 6:12Speaker 4: but I didn't know that his wife works at a
- 6:13Speaker 4: Sentia and so we're gonna wrap a bow on this
- 6:16Speaker 4: bras On bag and we get to meet her too.
- 6:18Speaker 3: That's cool.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Yeah, very cool. So I hope you had a great Sunday, Todd.
- 6:22Speaker 4: My little victory is that after that you guys left
- 6:26Speaker 4: around halftime and it didn't look like it was gonna.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Get better for our lions.
- 6:32Speaker 4: So Mike Ki and I left not that long after,
- 6:36Speaker 4: but we got home. We scooped up the kids and
- 6:38Speaker 4: we decided to touch some grass. So we went to
- 6:42Speaker 4: linden Wood Park. Oh cool, and then did a trail
- 6:46Speaker 4: that then took us over a bridge and then we
- 6:49Speaker 4: were technically in Minnesota. And the kids got like super
- 6:53Speaker 4: excited about that.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Wow, they could walk to a different sha.
- 6:56Speaker 3: Yeah, Lindenwood Park is technically in Fargo. The thing is,
- 7:01Speaker 3: I feel.
- 7:01Speaker 4: Like I have no no not I feel like I
- 7:03Speaker 4: have absolutely no sense of direction, and so I don't
- 7:06Speaker 4: really know where anything is or what I'm doing. I
- 7:08Speaker 4: just let Mike drive us to places. This is probably dangerous.
- 7:12Speaker 4: I just let Mike drive us to places.
- 7:14Speaker 3: And we do things.
- 7:15Speaker 4: But as far as like the kids are concerned, we
- 7:17Speaker 4: were like, on this part of the bridge, you're in Fargo,
- 7:20Speaker 4: and on this part of the bridge you're in Morehead.
- 7:23Speaker 4: Even if that's a lie whatever, but it was a
- 7:25Speaker 4: really good time. The fall here is so gorgeous. The foliage,
- 7:32Speaker 4: or as Marge Simpson would say, the foilage so stunning.
- 7:36Speaker 4: I posted pictures on the big Nantia points on Facebook page.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Because the colors are just so cool.
- 7:41Speaker 4: So we touched some grass and they say that that
- 7:45Speaker 4: helps you adapt to the time.
- 7:47Speaker 3: Change.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Really, if you get.
- 7:49Speaker 4: Out and about and soak up some sunshine, it helps
- 7:52Speaker 4: recalibrate your internal clock.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Oh okay, So if you're you know, maybe have an
- 7:56Speaker 1: extra hour of sleep and you feel almost like groggy,
- 7:59Speaker 1: You're like, wait, I just slept nine hours. Yeah, was
- 8:03Speaker 1: that possible? Maybe today when we have mostly sunshine, Yes,
- 8:07Speaker 1: I go out, maybe even just on your lunch break
- 8:09Speaker 1: at work or something, and see if you can't. Maybe
- 8:11Speaker 1: just knock out a thirty minute you know, power walk
- 8:13Speaker 1: or something.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Along, Yes, and skip the napping.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Yeah, that's very, very true.
- 8:17Speaker 4: I know all the tips and tricks to adjusting to
- 8:20Speaker 4: standard time. This is am I the problem where you
- 8:30Speaker 4: send us your side of the story and we let
- 8:33Speaker 4: you know if you are in the right or if maybe.
- 8:37Speaker 3: You are the problem.
- 8:39Speaker 4: Jocelyn wrote into us, and this is quite the predicament. Hey,
- 8:43Speaker 4: Gabe and Angie, my husband and I need a little
- 8:46Speaker 4: perspective here.
- 8:47Speaker 3: We just found out I'm pregnant.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Yay, yay. That is yay, that's awesome.
- 8:51Speaker 4: And while we're super excited, I've been feeling exhausted because
- 8:55Speaker 4: growing a human.
- 8:57Speaker 3: See, so we want to stay home for the holidays.
- 9:01Speaker 1: I love all I can just imagine because dot dot
- 9:04Speaker 1: dot growing a human, you're human. Very grammatically incorrect, but
- 9:07Speaker 1: we knew exactly what she meant.
- 9:09Speaker 4: Yes, the issue is that everyone always expects us to
- 9:13Speaker 4: travel for Thanksgiving and Christmas like we always do, since
- 9:17Speaker 4: we're the ones without a big family. We had agreed
- 9:20Speaker 4: to like we always do, but then I got pregnant.
- 9:23Speaker 4: The whole family is super excited for us, but when
- 9:26Speaker 4: we mentioned we might stay home this year, most of
- 9:30Speaker 4: the family got pretty upset. They assured us they would
- 9:33Speaker 4: cater to me if I was feeling sick and tired,
- 9:35Speaker 4: and I could literally sleep the whole time. But they
- 9:38Speaker 4: really want us to be together for the holidays, especially
- 9:42Speaker 4: our last one without the baby. That's obviously very nice
- 9:46Speaker 4: and we appreciate that, but I just really don't want
- 9:49Speaker 4: to and I don't want to feel guilty for staying home,
- 9:52Speaker 4: because for staying home.
- 9:54Speaker 3: While I'm growing a child.
- 9:56Speaker 4: Be honest, are we the problem for skipping the holiday
- 9:59Speaker 4: travel this day?
- 10:00Speaker 2: Yere?
- 10:01Speaker 3: Oh, there's a.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Lot to unpack there, But first and foremost, there's no
- 10:08Speaker 1: Here's the thing. No one is ever gonna tell the
- 10:10Speaker 1: lady who is pregnant that like, oh, yeah, you're the problem,
- 10:13Speaker 1: get out and go do this. You should do this,
- 10:14Speaker 1: blah blah blah. Right, obviously, do whatever's gonna make your
- 10:17Speaker 1: life the easiest and most comfortable possible. Yes, no one
- 10:21Speaker 1: is gonna say she's the problem for that.
- 10:24Speaker 3: Maybe I am.
- 10:25Speaker 1: But all right, this is what I said. This is
- 10:31Speaker 1: something you might say to your kids, or you know,
- 10:34Speaker 1: maybe you say this to your hubby a lot. All right,
- 10:37Speaker 1: your legs ain't broken. Okay, get yourself in the car
- 10:40Speaker 1: and go see mom and dad. It might be their
- 10:43Speaker 1: last Christmas. You don't know. Are you gonna regret it?
- 10:46Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, Gabe, but I did not know that's
- 10:49Speaker 4: where you were gonna go. I will say this having
- 10:52Speaker 4: been I was pregnant twice in my life, and during
- 10:57Speaker 4: oh when I was pregnant with Liam, I was very tired.
- 11:02Speaker 3: During Christmas time.
- 11:04Speaker 4: And I granted she said that they live like several
- 11:08Speaker 4: hours away, my mom was like forty minutes only not
- 11:12Speaker 4: the same. But I definitely did travel. And the reason
- 11:16Speaker 4: I did is because how her family said they want
- 11:21Speaker 4: to be together this last time before the baby arrives.
- 11:24Speaker 4: It is if you go to this one when it's
- 11:28Speaker 4: just you guys, then you can say, oh, we can't
- 11:31Speaker 4: make it next year the baby, because traveling with littles
- 11:35Speaker 4: can be such a nightmare.
- 11:38Speaker 1: So you're thinking about it as almost storing some good
- 11:42Speaker 1: will that party. I gotta keep that one in the
- 11:44Speaker 1: back pocket, yes, because.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Next year they're gonna say.
- 11:47Speaker 4: But you didn't come last year, and now we want
- 11:50Speaker 4: to see the baby.
- 11:51Speaker 3: You know what I mean. It's too much. So what's
- 11:53Speaker 3: easier if you do just sleep the.
- 11:56Speaker 4: Entire time in field and then be like, I'm pregnant,
- 11:58Speaker 4: I don't feel good, leave me alone and you'll get
- 12:00Speaker 4: away with it. Versus then the next year traveling with
- 12:04Speaker 4: a bait that could be really the worst.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:07Speaker 3: So I don't think you're.
- 12:09Speaker 4: The problem, though, Jocelyn. At no point do I actually
- 12:12Speaker 4: think you're the problem. I just think maybe thinking bigger picture, Yeah.
- 12:17Speaker 1: You're thinking down the road. You're playing chess not checkers
- 12:20Speaker 1: that part. Yeah, And obviously like you're pregnant, you do
- 12:23Speaker 1: whatever is going to make your life the easiest. That's
- 12:25Speaker 1: what I feel in my deepest of hearts. But we
- 12:28Speaker 1: just can't sol everything for nine months. All right, get up,
- 12:32Speaker 1: pull yourself up by your pregnancy pants, go see the family.
- 12:45Speaker 1: I'm good I'm good here.
- 12:46Speaker 2: I was gonna say, you could also do one or
- 12:48Speaker 2: the other. She doesn't need to do both holidays. She
- 12:51Speaker 2: could need to do Thanksgiving or Christmas, not both.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Yeah for one?
- 12:56Speaker 3: Yeah, which one would you pick?
- 12:58Speaker 4: Four days?
- 12:58Speaker 2: I would do Thanksgiving because you could do five days.
- 13:01Speaker 4: For Chris Christmas.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Christmas is a Thursday or Wednesday and Thursday this year.
- 13:06Speaker 2: If you have a Friday, then you have five days off.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Yeah. I agree. Thanksgiving you can get all fat and
- 13:11Speaker 1: happy in five hours and go.
- 13:12Speaker 4: Home, right exactly. Christmas you have.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Yeah, I would totally pick Thanksgiving, all right, duaba, saying
- 13:18Speaker 1: you could, in theory maybe just split the holidays.
- 13:22Speaker 4: Jocelyn wrote in asking if she and her husband were
- 13:25Speaker 4: the problem because they want to bail on traveling for
- 13:27Speaker 4: the holidays this year like they normally do.
- 13:30Speaker 3: Because she found out that she's pregnant.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Yeah, got a pretty good reason. Yeah, how do you
- 13:34Speaker 1: tell brand new pregnant woman? Yeah, no, you best get
- 13:38Speaker 1: in that car and head on down the mine air.
- 13:40Speaker 4: That's her thing is that she's so tired and obviously
- 13:43Speaker 4: you've grown a baby in there.
- 13:45Speaker 3: But they the family's like, well, we'll cater to you.
- 13:48Speaker 3: You can sleep the whole time.
- 13:49Speaker 4: We don't care, but we just want to have you
- 13:51Speaker 4: with us, especially since this is the last holiday without
- 13:55Speaker 4: the baby, and you know next your travel might be
- 13:57Speaker 4: even more difficult because you've got a new one. Right So,
- 14:00Speaker 4: and she appreciates that, but she still just wants to
- 14:03Speaker 4: stay home.
- 14:04Speaker 3: So she wants to know if she's the problem.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Of course, you know, she's not, obviously the problem. Do
- 14:08Speaker 1: whatever's going to make you comfortable. Yeah, but sometimes you
- 14:13Speaker 1: just get in the car and you make mom, Dad,
- 14:17Speaker 1: new Grandma, Grandpa happy. Okay, we did get a text
- 14:21Speaker 1: from Ali. This is actually, realistically the best advice I've
- 14:25Speaker 1: seen so far. Ali said, traveling is super exhausting. I
- 14:29Speaker 1: don't think the family should be worried about if they
- 14:32Speaker 1: come visit. She did also add they could go to her.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Their legs ain't broke either, So true. Why don't you
- 14:42Speaker 1: just make the drive?
- 14:43Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 14:43Speaker 3: Actually, here we do.
- 14:53Speaker 1: The money comes, the money goes. That's usually the situation.
- 14:57Speaker 1: We talked about this a little bit last week, but
- 15:00Speaker 1: most Americans have a majority of their paycheck gone within
- 15:04Speaker 1: the first forty eight hours of getting it. Now, that
- 15:07Speaker 1: doesn't mean they're going out and blowing it on ps
- 15:12Speaker 1: fives or hair or nails. Most of that is towards bills.
- 15:17Speaker 1: It was kind of funny. We had talked about this.
- 15:19Speaker 1: We saw it on the news on Valley News Live.
- 15:21Speaker 1: They did their question of the day, and it was
- 15:23Speaker 1: kind of funny. Angie and I were sitting in the
- 15:25Speaker 1: studio and we were like, oh, we know that answer, yes,
- 15:28Speaker 1: And then someone commented was like, oh, I heard you
- 15:31Speaker 1: guys talking about that the other It was pretty funny.
- 15:33Speaker 1: And our question today for you what do you spend
- 15:38Speaker 1: the majority of your paycheck on? And you know, I
- 15:42Speaker 1: know the answer is bills, you know, rent, the mortgage
- 15:45Speaker 1: or whatever. But what is something that you would spend
- 15:48Speaker 1: a lot of money on that maybe is something fun
- 15:51Speaker 1: for you to do. Maybe it's a hobby you really
- 15:53Speaker 1: enjoy and you are okay spending the couple of extra
- 15:58Speaker 1: dollars on it. Seven h one two eight zero one
- 16:01Speaker 1: nine eight seven. My answer is kind of boring, Angie.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Ours would be, you know, probably like going out to eat,
- 16:07Speaker 1: just a little date night for Corey and I. Very
- 16:10Speaker 1: very simple, and.
- 16:11Speaker 3: You guys do go out to eat a lot.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a probably no judgment.
- 16:15Speaker 3: I am envious of that, No, I always.
- 16:17Speaker 1: Make the justification of we're helping the local economy, that's all.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Yeah, that makes sense.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Rebecca, What are you spending the most of your paycheck on?
- 16:25Speaker 3: Rant always brand?
- 16:27Speaker 2: I swear my paycheck just takes a quick stretch, grab
- 16:30Speaker 2: the coffee and goes straight to my landlord.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Really is kind of a bummer. You get your paycheck
- 16:36Speaker 1: and then you already see the money putting on its
- 16:38Speaker 1: jogging gear to jog on over to your landlord's house. Angie,
- 16:42Speaker 1: what about you? What do you spend a majority of you?
- 16:44Speaker 1: And you know, I know, rent and bills or whatever,
- 16:46Speaker 1: but what maybe is something fun?
- 16:48Speaker 4: Well it's not even rent, by the way, for me,
- 16:51Speaker 4: it's quite literally groceries.
- 16:54Speaker 3: Not for me, sure, but for my two growing.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Boys, groceries for nothing, that's right, they eat so much.
- 17:01Speaker 4: But I do know that for the next I mean,
- 17:05Speaker 4: when is our next paycheck?
- 17:06Speaker 1: Gave?
- 17:06Speaker 4: I know that I will be spending a majority of
- 17:10Speaker 4: my paycheck on Christmas decorations. Oh god, when I moved here,
- 17:15Speaker 4: I left almost everything behind to stop my new.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Life in the Fargo sounds like a Hallmark movie.
- 17:21Speaker 3: So yeah, that's exactly what it is.
- 17:23Speaker 4: I'm trying to live my best Hallmark Channel Christmas movie life.
- 17:25Speaker 4: So I don't have any Christmas decorations from my previous life.
- 17:29Speaker 3: So I will be spending a good chunk of change.
- 17:32Speaker 4: Am I even gonna pay my rent? And I'm kidding,
- 17:34Speaker 4: but yeah, Christmas decorations for me.
- 17:36Speaker 1: Tod, what are you spending the most of your paycheck.
- 17:38Speaker 5: On the majority of my paycheck goes to my ex
- 17:41Speaker 5: wife or alimony and then child support.
- 17:43Speaker 1: When all is.
- 17:44Speaker 3: Said and done, I got about one hundred bucks for
- 17:46Speaker 3: myself each week.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Okay, there's two things. Number One, Todd, you're doing you know,
- 17:52Speaker 1: I guess what you're supposed to be doing. You chose
- 17:54Speaker 1: to have the kids. You gotta be a part of
- 17:56Speaker 1: help and raise them financially. Manda, does that stink? Oh
- 18:01Speaker 1: my god. This hockey player just happens to be ten
- 18:11Speaker 1: years old. Ten year old Weston Paskowitz. He has faced
- 18:16Speaker 1: more in the past year than most kids his age,
- 18:19Speaker 1: but his family says nothing is slowing down west In
- 18:24Speaker 1: That mindset has carried Weston through months of leukemia treatment.
- 18:31Speaker 1: His father John said, I don't think he even knows
- 18:34Speaker 1: what failing is. He just kind of keeps on rolling.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Since his diagnosis in January. Weston has spent much of
- 18:41Speaker 1: his time in the hospital, but this past Thursday he
- 18:45Speaker 1: got to be somewhere that a lot of people would
- 18:47Speaker 1: like to be, and he signed a one day contract
- 18:50Speaker 1: with the Minnesota Wild. He got to have police sirens
- 18:54Speaker 1: leading his way on into what is it called now,
- 18:57Speaker 1: not the Excel but where the Wild play the Grand Casino,
- 19:00Speaker 1: I think is what it's called. That he had neighbors
- 19:03Speaker 1: lining up on the street to cheer him on, and
- 19:05Speaker 1: it basically his aunt Stephanie said, it's everything family, the community.
- 19:10Speaker 1: We have had so much outpouring of love. It's truly
- 19:13Speaker 1: been amazing. And his dad also added this.
- 19:18Speaker 5: Joke that he's doing better than we are. I mean,
- 19:20Speaker 5: he's just so level headed. Whether you have a good
- 19:23Speaker 5: day a bad day, he's along for the ride, and
- 19:25Speaker 5: he just kind of now like having gone through something
- 19:27Speaker 5: extremely difficult, you just realize like how it is how
- 19:30Speaker 5: beneficial his personality has been.
- 19:33Speaker 1: After signing his contract, Weston got the behind the scenes
- 19:36Speaker 1: look at the Wild locker room. He joined the team
- 19:38Speaker 1: for the morning skate and before the puck dropped On Thursday,
- 19:42Speaker 1: Weston got to carry the flag out, which if you've
- 19:44Speaker 1: ever been to a Wild game. You always see the
- 19:46Speaker 1: kid who gets skate out to center ice and slam
- 19:48Speaker 1: the stick and the flag out on center ice, and
- 19:51Speaker 1: you know they made his day as good as they can,
- 19:54Speaker 1: the Minnesota Wild and the Make a Wish Foundation. So
- 19:56Speaker 1: it was a very very beautiful thing to see and
- 19:58Speaker 1: very fun to well, fun to read about the positives
- 20:01Speaker 1: of it after the fact. So way to go Wild,
- 20:04Speaker 1: and you know, a way to go West. And good
- 20:05Speaker 1: for you, buddy.
- 20:07Speaker 3: I'm sorry, you know I can't anything.
- 20:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I figured i'd get you today for sure. Yeah.
- 20:11Speaker 1: The world's full of nice people. If you can't find one,
- 20:14Speaker 1: you gotta be one.
