- 0:08Hello, and welcome to either of you. Be with you with Nick and
- 0:11Joe. I'm Joe, I'm Nick, and today we are picking up where
- 0:17we left off from Loki season two episodes four and five. I think we
- 0:24were gonna wait till the end of the season to talk about the other half
- 0:26of this, but honestly, things have been off the rails crazy that we
- 0:32just we need to address this now. And I think we want to talk
- 0:35about perhaps some speculation about the finale before the finale actually happens. But before
- 0:42we get into that, Nick, how are you feeling. I'm feeling fantastic.
- 0:50Well, I guess at a loss for words, as you can clearly
- 0:53tell by that long pause. You are talking like a mile per second before
- 0:57we started, and then suddenly like it's time to talk, and you're like,
- 1:00I got nothing, I'm done. Well, you asked me how I
- 1:04was feeling. You didn't ask me how I was feeling about the episode,
- 1:07so you threw me a little bit. Yeah, I don't care about lived
- 1:11at all. I just want to know about you. I'm great, I'm
- 1:15doing really well. I thought I had a headache this morning. I don't
- 1:18any longer. That's the real thing. Yeah. Yeah, So we're talking
- 1:26about episode four and five today and really quick. Episode four was totally insane,
- 1:34like from a shock perspective, way more insane than five. I think
- 1:40for me, we got our Fanos esque snapping ending to see to episode four,
- 1:46which we'll get to, but such like maybe the best episode I've seen
- 1:52from a TV show in Marvel. Episode four so well done, and then
- 1:59five was like an incredible follow up. So I'm really excited to get into
- 2:02the details. What about you, I think you put it really well there.
- 2:08I'm just gonna echo that. I mean it as far as as directing,
- 2:13as far as writing and acting goes, like wow, episode four Heart
- 2:16of the TVA just really knocks it out of the park. And I have
- 2:21a lot of good things to say about episode five science fiction as well.
- 2:23We'll get to those, but yeah, just I mean, it's exactly like
- 2:30you said, there wasn't a single piece of Marvel television, whether it's you
- 2:36know, the current Disney Plus stuff or like the Netflix stuff or like the
- 2:38Agent's Field stuff like that ever left me feeling the way that I did when
- 2:44I left a movie theater after watching Infinity War. And as you said,
- 2:50the fatos snap happens. Right. That was incredible in just a place I
- 2:55didn't think that they were going to go. And I'm really proud of Marvel
- 3:00for taking a risk on that. Super cool. But yeah, let's let's
- 3:06get into it. So episode or Heart of the TVA. This episode starts
- 3:12with right where we left off in episode three, where Ravona and Miss Minutes
- 3:16are going over what's been taken from Ravona, which we learn is her memories
- 3:23of her partnership with King or not King but he who remains, and her
- 3:29learning the truth of what her greater role actually as his general was and the
- 3:34memories that were stripped away from her. In that, we transitioned over to
- 3:39Victor Timeley in the TVA, who is very confused about everything, which who
- 3:45could blame him, but he starts accepting things actually rather quickly, because he
- 3:51starts to recognize a familiarity with the TVA as he's read all about it in
- 3:54the TVA Handbook and comes to me to the author of the tv Handbook or
- 4:00a Boros, in a scene that is both very delightful and a little creepy
- 4:06for what it might imply for later, and we'll get into that Shenanigans ensues
- 4:12as Docks and Brad in prison are having debates on whether or not that they
- 4:17should stage a coup. Meanwhile, Miss Minutes and Ravona show up to say,
- 4:23hey, everybody join us, but not before B fifteen made a plea
- 4:27with Docs to help the TVA. This touches Dos. She decides she's not
- 4:31gonna help Miss Minutes and Ravona, and we see probably the most gruesome death
- 4:38in all of the MCU. Actually we don't see. It's an off camera
- 4:41violence moment, which actually I love off camera violence for the record, not
- 4:46because I can't handle violence, but I think off camera violence leaves more to
- 4:49the imagination, and that was horrible. I want to talk about that scene
- 4:54too, because there's some gross details about it. But we get toward the
- 4:59climax of our episode is everything is falling into disarray and the timeloom is overloading.
- 5:08Victor Timely, after having confrontation with Miss Minutes, decides to step up
- 5:12to the plate and he's going to insert I don't know whatever the piece of
- 5:15technology is, but whatever it is, that's going to help them secure the
- 5:19time loom. He steps out and his skin does not melt. His existence
- 5:24is ripped apart. He is spaghettified but getting horrible. Nobody knows what's going
- 5:30on, least of all Loki, who simply ends the episode by saying,
- 5:33I don't know, and we come to a close. Yeah. Episode four
- 5:40was absolutely wild, Nick. I think one of my favorite little details about
- 5:46episode four is, I, oh, I might be confusing this, No,
- 5:50I'm not. Episode four starts in a really similar way that episode six
- 5:57of the first season did, which is, you know, in the mc
- 6:00you logo pops up that you start to like hear the voices of the past
- 6:06in the MCU, right, and then you travel through like the time stream
- 6:12and you see like all, I don't think you see any events, but
- 6:15like you hear all the events of MCU history unfolding. This episode starts to
- 6:21do that and then quickly rips away, and then we just see a chaotic
- 6:28timeline, yeah, branched out instead of like the harmony that we saw in
- 6:30episode six, right, right, I see just chaos, chaos. Yeah,
- 6:34And the episode closes in a very similar fashion where it just ends,
- 6:40it just plats black like it's a very abrupt beginning, very abrupt end.
- 6:46Really cool detail like that A lot Yeah, that's a great point totally.
- 6:53And it's fun to see some of the things online where people put him side
- 6:56by side and you realize how bad it actually is because you're seeing the the
- 7:00previous seasons like perfect timeline, and then you're seeing the current like chaos.
- 7:04But yeah, let's get into it, man. Let's uh, let's just
- 7:08let's rip this apart, so to speak, piece by piece, shall we
- 7:12Let's bay the So the episode opens and it's a quick it's a quick scene,
- 7:18but I think it's really important if this is a flashback or essentially Ms
- 7:24Minister is showing Renslayer a flashback of Rens Slayer and He who Remains at the
- 7:30end of the previous war for the timeline basically, and this is when the
- 7:34TVA we can assume was created and Rens Slayer ended up being like the top
- 7:41general for He who remains Based on the scene, and we find out that
- 7:44like she had a lot to do with the TVA as we know it and
- 7:49was working very closely with He who remains, And she goes back to the
- 7:57TVA and He who remains says that he'll join her in a minute, and
- 8:03then he has missed minutes wipe everyone's memories in the TVA, and this is
- 8:07this is why we get some scenes where people from the TVA don't remember things
- 8:16before a certain time, right, like OB's met Obius. OB's met obiis,
- 8:22Oh my gosh, Obi's met Mobius, but Mobius doesn't remember meeting Obi.
- 8:26And I'm I'm assuming that that has to maybe do with something where OB's
- 8:31memory didn't get wiped, right, which is a fascinating thing to think about.
- 8:35But Mobius's memory obviously was part of the wiping like Renstlers was after that
- 8:39last war. So that's like totally like a cool little detail. That's an
- 8:46interesting detail, like especially for the partnership that we see kind of blossom in
- 8:54this episode between Timely and Ob. And to know that he who remains doesn't
- 9:00wipe out the memory of b apparently right, but Ob doesn't know who he
- 9:05who remains is interesting, nor does he have any memory of ever meeting Victor
- 9:11Timely before. He's just familiar with Victor tim work. Yeah, it's uh,
- 9:18this might be the thing I'm most excited to uncover. Like, I
- 9:22hope we get some kind of answer to this and in the sixth episode,
- 9:24because obviously, like we don't have it yet. It's such a fascinating circle,
- 9:33so that'll be like it's just so interesting. And then I mean,
- 9:39like I said that, that beginning seems pretty quick and and and and from
- 9:41there we where's it going? Episode four? It goes straight into Victors the
- 9:46TV, straight into the TV A Victor, Victor Timely arrives, He gets
- 9:50he he sees, he sees the wall of U of King and and he
- 10:00remains and uh sees himself basically but really quickly. They're they're on a mission,
- 10:07right low key mobis get back. They grab here, they grab Victor
- 10:11Timely, like we have to go to ob to fix the loom. And
- 10:16this is when we get it might be my might have been my one of
- 10:20my favorite scenes in this episode in total is we get the Victor Timely OB
- 10:24meeting. This is like so cool because who is who? Who talked first?
- 10:35Well? What how did that? How did that? How did that
- 10:37go? It was so or boros Is is talking about what their options are
- 10:45and someone someone I think it's mobi Is uses the name o B and that's
- 10:50what causes Timely to like perk is it eyebrows? Yeah? Ob? Yeah,
- 10:56Boros you know yeah, yeah, yeah, and then then he's like,
- 11:01I've learned everything I know from from from Ob, from this book or
- 11:05whatever, and and uh and then Obi is like, I learned everything I
- 11:07know from from Victor Timely, right, smarter than smarter than Tesla, held
- 11:13behind by are held back by the technology of this technology of time. Yeah,
- 11:16it was so so awesome. And and that when when Ob says Victor's
- 11:20Victor's name, the Loki's face is fantastic. He's just like, what,
- 11:26like, you know who Victor Timeley is like, what's going on? And
- 11:30then they both take out their TVA handbooks and they like have a little quick,
- 11:33little scientist uh exchange. And that was so cool because you just like
- 11:39go ahead. Sorry. I was just like it's just cool because you know.
- 11:43Then then uh, then Mobius is like, well, who who came
- 11:48first? You know? And yeah, you know what that reminded me of
- 11:54though, it reminds me of the finale of season one, where he remains
- 11:58is telling us about like how a variant of him was the first to make
- 12:05a multi universal contact with a variant of that variant, right, And you
- 12:13know, at first everything was fine, they were all just very I forgot
- 12:16the word he used. He was like, it was very like it was
- 12:18a narcissistic piece where we were all meeting each other and we're like, I
- 12:22like you like you know, like that's what it felt like, you know,
- 12:26it was like, oh, I love your work. I love your
- 12:28work. It's the same work. Which I can't remember if you and I
- 12:33discussed this in our last episode or if it was off mic, but we
- 12:37were playing around with the idea of whether or not or a Borros is a
- 12:41vari yeah, which I think we have to talk about it now, like
- 12:48you know, like and and and that this is one thing that Marvel is
- 12:54set up already, right that like variants of yourself from another timeline, it
- 12:58doesn't necesscessarily have to be the exact body and in person for example, is
- 13:05a great example a ton of different styles, right, even in a damn
- 13:09alligator like so so like so anything is possible, right, Like you and
- 13:15I discussed maybe Renslayer at one point being a variant Aloki, but now I
- 13:18think, I mean, are very variant of heat of of he who remains,
- 13:20But I think that's probably not the case at this point after finding that
- 13:28scene, that opening scene of episode four, But I think it's very possible
- 13:33that Ob is a variant of he he remains because just because of what you
- 13:39just said, like that that that conversation at the end of season one is
- 13:45very important, and maybe this is one of those interactions, right with Ob
- 13:50and Victor timily meeting each other and they are just variants of each other,
- 13:54and and that would make sense. Why who started it? Like, we
- 14:00don't know, So I think it's very possible. And it's like totally fascinating.
- 14:05Uh, it's a it's a it's a it's a headache for sure to
- 14:09think about that whole thing. So it's a headache that I want, the
- 14:13kind heache that I enjoy having. Yeah, they have. There's so many
- 14:16things that they haven't answered, and we have one more episode and I'm just
- 14:20like, there's no way we get all the answers for it. It's just
- 14:22like totally I think that the cards for a season three are definitely in play
- 14:28right now. Yeah, this very much feels like a Empire strikes Back sort
- 14:33of story at the current moment, right like where there's no there's no real
- 14:37path to victory for the protagonists for now. Yeah, right now, they're
- 14:43just trying to survive right, yeah, it's pure survival. Yeah. So
- 14:48after that interaction, uh, Sylvie breaks it up quickly. Basically, it's
- 14:52just like, guys, can we can we save the loom first and sign
- 14:56later or however she needs that. She is very uncomfortable, as she should
- 15:01be. She's very uncomfortable with this interaction and yeah, it'll happen again later
- 15:07where they do the handshake and she's like, oh, this is all sorts
- 15:11of wrong. This like you can almost hear he who remains in the background
- 15:18like whispering like I'll see as soon, you know, Like yeah, so
- 15:24creepy and so good. But the reason I wanted to really quick. There's
- 15:31a scene like right after that, right where there where Obi in case you
- 15:35are explaining like what they figured out and what needs to happen, and they
- 15:39and they bring out a prototype or like a diagram, a small sized diagram
- 15:45of of the loom, and Obi has a line where he goes, I'm
- 15:50honestly embarrassed at Victor is here to see it. He's like so embarrassed that
- 15:58he's like idol is here to see some like crappy diagram that they had to
- 16:02make quickly because they're running out of time. I just thought that it's actually
- 16:06a great diagram. Yeah exactly. Yeah, that was just like I love
- 16:11little things like that was just hilarious and you'll want to mention it. That's
- 16:15a reference. Oh really that that scene? Yeah, that scene is a
- 16:18reference. It's it's a scene. It's a it's a callback to Back to
- 16:23the Future where Doc Brown is trying to describe to Marty how how they can
- 16:32get time travel to work, and how they're going to use the DeLorean.
- 16:36They're going to hook it up to the clock where they know lightning is going
- 16:38to hit the clock, and like he has it all set up. He's
- 16:41got like he's got like the city hall, he's got like the park,
- 16:45he's got the car, and he's like, oh, if I had more
- 16:48time, I could have made it look good. And Marty's like, when
- 16:49did you have the time to make this? It's a really funny scene.
- 16:53It's like it's like almost verbatim the same scene. Oh that's amazing. That's
- 16:57a great call out. Now. Yeah, as a time troll fan,
- 17:03I I appreciated that. You know me, I'm I'm a sucker for Oh
- 17:07yeah, absolutely. Okay, So what's next after that? After they talk
- 17:14about the loom and what needs to be done, there's a quick little there's
- 17:17a quick little fun scene about like who's gonna go and put on the suit
- 17:21and walk outside? And look? He's like wait, why does it have
- 17:22to be me? And Mobius like Mobs is like, well, I already
- 17:25did it and it's not me, you know, and like there's a figure
- 17:27doesn't look like me. Yeah, it's a and and they're kind of setting
- 17:30it up for later, right, How how it's going to be important who
- 17:34goes out there? Basically is what they're kind of telling us in that scene.
- 17:37Right, it's actually important, you know, who's actually going to be
- 17:41the way to go out? Right? So but then from there, correct
- 17:48me if I'm wrong. But the next thing is Moby is going to get
- 17:52Pie, which is like Joe's dream because Joe's Joe has been so enthralled with
- 18:02the time pie. What's with the pie? It up? You know what
- 18:07you're you're not You're not the only person who's mad, because Sylvie was very
- 18:11pissed that Mobius is just like how can you go get pie? Uh?
- 18:17Calling him calling him out for getting mad at him for getting pie in a
- 18:22time like this and also like calling him out for not looking for his life
- 18:26on the timeline and and how could you not want to know? And all
- 18:29these things, and yeah, it was just like so uh so funny because
- 18:36she's basically just you know, enjoy your pie and like storms out of there,
- 18:44can I I want to make a quick comment on Sylvie. Yeah,
- 18:45please, I so for for the record, Sophia di Martino is a wonderful
- 18:53actress, and I think every time she is Sylvie, I think she always
- 18:59has a really interesting performance. She she can very much focus herself or to
- 19:03be the focus of a scene, right. I think she can command a
- 19:07scene really well. I have notes on I can't remember her name. I
- 19:14will look this up. Shame on me. The actress who plays her,
- 19:15Vona rents Layer, I have, I don't feel the same way about her
- 19:19anyway. I bring up Sylvie because I freaking kind of I feel like this
- 19:26is actually kind of one of the low points of this season so far from
- 19:29me. Is is Sylvie? Because like, I feel like all we give
- 19:33Sylvie to do is to just be mad. Like every scene Sylvie is just
- 19:37so mad. I'm just I'm just so mad, right, and like the
- 19:41character should be mad, right, Like there's so much to be mad about,
- 19:44but like it's almost all we've given her to do this season? Is
- 19:48it just me pissed off? And like I just want to be left alone.
- 19:51But like also like I'm sort of interested in what's going on. I
- 19:55don't know, I'm hoping we can see a little bit more of her because
- 19:57like I mean when I say here, I love her performance. I want
- 20:00her to be able to expand more on it, hopefully in episode six.
- 20:07But uh, yeah, like you said, Sylvie's just passed, right,
- 20:11Yeah, So we had that that quick thing where Sylvie's getting mad at Mobius
- 20:15because he wants to go get high or whatever, and she's like she storms
- 20:18off. And then the very next scene is Brad and Docks and they're holding
- 20:26Cell with the rest of the team that was trying to destroy the branches and
- 20:33you know, did a pretty good job at the end of episode three,
- 20:37and they're having a conversation about what to do, right, Like Brad's like
- 20:45very on edge. She wants to you know, get out of there,
- 20:47and Docs just kind of feels very like at ease, and she's just sitting
- 20:51there like waiting or whatever. And eventually uh B fifteen walks in and BE
- 21:00fifteen's purpose is to try to convince Docs to join them in this new TVA
- 21:10so that Docs and her team can join join B fifteen with with how the
- 21:14TVA is progressing from here forward, and she gives her this nice speech and
- 21:18they have a good conversation, and then BE fifteen just you knows, like,
- 21:22think about it. I'll come back, right, and so BE fifteen
- 21:27leaves and leaves UH leaves Docks and Brad and the rest of the people in
- 21:33there to discuss what they're going to do if they're going to join the new
- 21:37TVA or revolt basically, And at this point in the in the in the
- 21:41show, I think we're switching back and forth a couple of times because we
- 21:45don't get the next scene in that holding cell. Yet we go back to
- 21:53Loki and Sylvie, I believe, and this is the scene where like I
- 22:07don't know where Mobius went, but Sylvie, like Loki is still in the
- 22:15room with the pie, the pie room, right, and Sylvie this I
- 22:21think the scene opens with Sylvie walking in. It's just like, oh,
- 22:23I took a wrong turn, didn't plan, didn't plan on coming to pie
- 22:26Land, that's what she said. And this scene is really cool because we
- 22:30get like a real heart like heart to heart between Loki and Silvery, and
- 22:33and Loki's trying to convince Sylvie that, like fixing the problem is important,
- 22:44and it's like a brilliant like speech basically to try to like make Sylvie understand
- 22:51that, like she needs to be part of helping to fix the problem,
- 22:52not just running away from it basically, And and and we get this really
- 22:57cool line where Sylvie is like essentially saying like, you're we're playing god like
- 23:04like we shouldn't we, you know, no one's no one's allowed to play
- 23:11god, like it's not possible. And then basically Loki looks at her and
- 23:15just says we are gods and walks on, which is like an awesome scene
- 23:18because when when it happened, like after Sylvie said like her last line,
- 23:25I was like, yeah, well LOOKI is a god. And then I
- 23:26was like, wait, she's a Loki too. I was like, they
- 23:30are gods, like like I was saying. At the same time, I
- 23:33thought that was a really cool little piece of information. I actually really enjoyed
- 23:41that line too. The line itself is just a really cool line, right.
- 23:45But I think what I enjoyed more about it is to two things,
- 23:51the line delivery and the direction on the camera action. Because the line delivery,
- 23:59like like that could be like a really proud moment for someone or like
- 24:02like a very like glorious purpose like moment for someone, right, like we
- 24:06we are God's right, like, and it's not delivered that way. It's
- 24:10delivered in like a tired and frustrated manner. Right, It's like we are
- 24:15God. It's like you know, like like he like feels like that weight,
- 24:19right, and I love that. Like the camera is not like zoomed
- 24:23in on on either Loki, right, it's like it's far away and like,
- 24:30you know, you don't see Tom Hilson's face really, you see his
- 24:33body language, right, And I thought that that was such a great idea
- 24:37it considering like how he delivers the line. Right, it's not a glorious
- 24:41purpose, it's a I have to do this, you know, because it
- 24:45is what we're born to do, Like I don't want to do this,
- 24:48we have to do this. And then he walks out of the room,
- 24:51right, Like awesome direction scene, Yeah, yeah, super cool. Speaking
- 24:56of direction, I wanted to bring this up. So we've talked previously and
- 25:03I want to make sure I get this right. Yeah, okay, cool.
- 25:06So we've talked previously about the direction on this show, specifically episode one,
- 25:11where Episode one had such a paranoia horror esque feel to it, and
- 25:19one of the things that are what was responsible for capturing that was the direction
- 25:25the directors, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorehead, who we've said, you know,
- 25:30was responsible for The Moonnight Show, where that feeling of paranoia and like
- 25:33you don't know what the heck is going on, you feel like you're being
- 25:36chased all the time. Like they're responsible for that show and capturing that feeling.
- 25:41They returned here in episode four, part of the TVA, and I
- 25:47think you can just tell that there's this over there's this looming sense of doom
- 25:52and dread throughout this entire episode, and these guys just know how to cap
- 26:00that. I'm looking at the credits right now. So Benson and Moorehead,
- 26:06they did episode one, they weren't around for two or three. They're back
- 26:11for four, and they're here for the rest of the season. We see
- 26:14them again in five, and they're here for the finale. They I think
- 26:18that this is a combo, like a name combo. We're going to start
- 26:22to see in Marvel a lot more, especially with four ending the way it
- 26:26was and like having the critical reception that it got. Yeah. This sort
- 26:30of reminds me of like when the Russos took over the Captain America series with
- 26:36Winter Soldier and like the reception that that got. Yeah, And then of
- 26:40course, like Marvel started relying more and more on the Russos right into like
- 26:45their ultimate project, Endgame. Right. I don't know if that's where their
- 26:49career goes. I'm pretty sure we already know the directors for the upcoming Avengers
- 26:53movies, one of them being the Sean Chi director if I recall it correctly,
- 26:57which is really interesting. But I think Marvel really likes these guys works.
- 27:03These are names to remember, We're gonna continue to see them. I
- 27:07feel like, yeah, I think that's a great call out, Like they've
- 27:10been phenomenal. So it's been so good, so I'm excited. Fig usually
- 27:15makes the right decision with stuff like that, especially when the reception is really
- 27:18good. So it'll be interesting to see what their next project is and how
- 27:22this season ends. Right, Sorry, hold on a second, I think
- 27:27I might have to sneeze. Don't you tease me with no false sneeze here.
- 27:32We're bitch unbelievable, all right, so let's go. Let's go promise
- 27:41now if you're sneezeless, Oh my god, calm down. We gotta we
- 27:47gotta talk about the time cube and we got to talk about next. Brad,
- 27:52Cool, Yeah, that's next anyway. That's because like we're skipping in
- 27:55this middle part of the episode. We're kind of skipping back and forth between
- 27:56like a couple of people. Before we were like cutting get into what's gonna
- 28:00ensue next. But yeah, the next part now is rens Slayer. Miss
- 28:06Minutes show up in this holding cell with Docs and Brad and the rest of
- 28:11the betrayers, and uh, this is Renslayer basically trying to convince Docks and
- 28:19her team to join rens Slayer to take back control of the TVA and make
- 28:25it run like it did before. At this point, Docs has decided that
- 28:30her and her team are standing with the B fifteen and the new TVA and
- 28:36they won't work for Renslayer. Brad is having existential crisis because Brad doesn't want
- 28:41to die. Brad is a very selfish, selfish person. He had a
- 28:45life on the timeline. He was loving it. He wants to go back,
- 28:51he doesn't want he doesn't care how. He's gonna do whatever it takes.
- 28:56Like he was a movie star, like either actly his movie star.
- 29:00You know, he's got no he's got no morals and uh so Brad is
- 29:07the only person who decides to go with Randslayer. Basically, and the next
- 29:11thing that happens is I wrote down gruesome, my goodness, Disney in my
- 29:21notes, I can't believe they did this on a Disney TV's TV show.
- 29:29This actually might be the most shocking thing that happened in the entire episode.
- 29:33This is so disgusting and it's amazing, like and it's and it's a testament
- 29:37to the directors, as you were just saying, because they didn't show us
- 29:41anything, but they used every other possible detail with the sound to get us
- 29:47to feel as disgusting as possible. I'm so glad to bring this up.
- 29:51Yeah, it's unbelievable what they did. It was so well done and basically,
- 29:55so you know, rand Slayer uses this what is this machine called?
- 30:00You have? The machine has a name, but the setting that they use
- 30:04as a time cube time cube, right, and this is basically puts everyone
- 30:08in this time cube and it's essentially, you know, the time cube is
- 30:11just shrinking slowly, right, And it gives me flashbacks to a New Hope
- 30:18when Hans Solo and Lea and and Luke are stuck in the garbage compactor and
- 30:22it's just the walls are closing in, right, So this is this is
- 30:26what's happening to the Docks and the rest of her team, and they all
- 30:30know they're about to die. They're very weirdly quiet about it, you know,
- 30:34they're all just like, yeah, this is just our fate. And
- 30:38all we get is shots of Renstlayer's face, Miss Minister's reaction and Brad's reaction
- 30:45as this is closing and as you can just you can hear the bodies crunching
- 30:52together and and then you hear like the blood dripping through the floor, which
- 31:00is so disgusting. I'm still in shock. I watched this episode three times.
- 31:07I'm still in shock that they did that, like unbelievable, and and
- 31:11missus Minnutes's face was like hilarious, hold on, miss Minutes, sorry,
- 31:18she doesn't want to miss minutes's face was like, she's crazy. She is
- 31:26the scariest ai that I think because she was. It was joy. It
- 31:33was joy, It was pure joy. Do we have another like villain in
- 31:37the m c U Like, is that sadistic? No? I don't.
- 31:41I don't think not openly. The only the only thing, the only person
- 31:48like I can compare that to weirdly is actually this low key Remember like that
- 31:52moment where he's like ripping the eye out of somebody in the movie. Yeah,
- 31:56and he's like he's like smile, right, Yeah, I can't think
- 32:01of another villain who like took that much pleasure out of watching suffering. Yeah,
- 32:07totally insane. And Brad Brad is like totally freaked out and disgusted,
- 32:13but he'd rather but he's glad he's not there, right, He's glad he
- 32:15he did My man, Brad is a survivor from a survival perspective. He
- 32:20made the right choice, right of course. So yeah, real quick,
- 32:25are you getting this just occurred to me? Are you getting executioner vibes from
- 32:31him? The executioner from thor Reagenerok? Oh my god, Like now that
- 32:39we're talking about I'm kind of getting executioner vibes from him. Yeah, it's
- 32:43like the same, right like, yeah, morally like doesn't feel great about
- 32:49it, but prefers to live and just going with the devil at the moment,
- 32:54who was going to keep him alive? Right like? And it's actually
- 33:00incredibly similar now that Yeah, it is very similar. This is a great
- 33:05that's a great. H that's a great point. It's very similar. I
- 33:07wonder now now it's making me think, like, is his what's his character?
- 33:12Does he have like an actual character arc? At the end? Is
- 33:14he's gonna have like a a redemption? It's possible, although although I don't
- 33:22like him as much as I did the executioner, So I hope he doesn't.
- 33:25He doesn't deserve one. He doesn't deserve one. Like this execution was
- 33:30funny, right right exactly? He was funny. Yeah, yeah, Brad,
- 33:34Brad bread sucks especially he made mob Is mad and like that makes me
- 33:38mad. Yeah, Movies is a good boy. Yeah. Okay, so
- 33:46let's what's next. Let's get uh there's a lot happening here in the last
- 33:51like twenty minutes of this episode, Like we're not even like close. This
- 33:54is crazy, Okay, So we have this gruesome scene, and the next
- 34:00thing that happens is this whole This is when the episode really kind of like
- 34:07picks up. So the next thing we cut to is Victor and I think
- 34:15it's Mobius and and Ob and Casey and they're building this thing for fixing the
- 34:22loom, and Mobius walks in with a hot chocolate. Mobius walks in with
- 34:28a hot chocolate from the hook coco machine, and Victor is completely enthralled.
- 34:32He is just like, what are you drinking? Where did you get it?
- 34:37What do you mean there's a hot coco machine? I have to see
- 34:42this basically right, Like, he's like so shocked. And one of the
- 34:45guards, whose name I don't have written down and sadly doesn't really matter because
- 34:50he doesn't last very long, he's like, I can take him, Like
- 34:55I guess he's just bored sitting in that room, and he's just like,
- 34:58I'm okay if I can walk one hundred yards down the road and get out
- 35:01of this area. So Moby's is like, oh, okay, you know
- 35:06sure, So he takes this guard, takes Victor to this hot cocoa machine,
- 35:10and we get this weird scene where like Victor like makes a hot coco
- 35:15and then he's giving it to the guard like a sign that like I think
- 35:17he's giving it as like a sign of friendship, but also like you drink
- 35:22it first, so I know that this isn't gonna kill me. It's like
- 35:25such a weird scene. It felt so creepy. Yeah, it was creepy,
- 35:30but then it was sweet because the guard was like, oh my god,
- 35:32this is delicious, thank you so much. And then he gets prune
- 35:38and it's Brad because Renslayer and Brad have escaped the holding cell, of course,
- 35:44and and Brad is now a murderer. What a wonderful way to be
- 35:47taken out of existence though, you know, like you're you're like, thought,
- 35:52is hey, delightful delightful hot coco. But of course we know that
- 35:55he's not out of existence. He just goes to the end of time where
- 35:58I imagine there's no howt Cooke go. So it's a little bit bridle.
- 36:01He goes to the void to be the void, Yes, he goes to
- 36:06the void anyway, So so then we get this, you know, obviously
- 36:14now we have a problem because Victor has now been kidnapped by Brad and is
- 36:17now in rent Slayers in renst Slayers hands. I'm looking at my notes to
- 36:22make sure that I'm in the right order here and this stuff. But yeah,
- 36:25so so, yeah so so now Brad and Renslayer and Victor Timely are
- 36:30in the same room and and rents Slayer Miss Minutes want to know everything that
- 36:35Victor does and knows, and Victor is beginning to take them on a brilliant
- 36:40story to to basically kill time and and install and uh. The next thing
- 36:50we get is this scene of everyone gathering around the hat Coco machine, where
- 36:54you know, Mobius and Loki and Sylvie are realizing that Victor is missing and
- 37:00it must be Renslayer because B fifteen walks in and says that Dox's team is
- 37:04all dead, and so they realize that, okay, Renslayer and Miss Minutes
- 37:07are here for Victor, and Loki is like there, he's They're not just
- 37:13here for Victor, They're here for the TVA. So we know that they're
- 37:15here still. They haven't left because their mission is to get the TVA back.
- 37:20And a very quick little thing about the scene, the prune stick.
- 37:25Does that have a name? It does? And it's escaping me right now,
- 37:30Okay, well we're gonna call it. It's definitely not it's not we'll
- 37:34call it a prune. We'll call it a pruning device. Let's called a
- 37:37pruning device. That sounds better, the pruning device. Brad left it on
- 37:40the floor when he when he so like for whatever reason, but I can
- 37:45only imagine, because he looked like he had a look of disgust within himself
- 37:50after he did that prune. So I think that maybe he left it because
- 37:52he was a little bit upset with himself for doing that. Is if I
- 37:57have to give a reason, I don't know if there is one, except
- 37:59that we need Loki to pick it up for what happens next. So Loki
- 38:02picks it up. Loki picks it up. It's very important that he picks
- 38:07that up. And also so the second he picked this up, I was
- 38:12like, oh my god. I was like, I think Joe, Joe's
- 38:15right, Like it was that moment I was like, I think Joe's correct.
- 38:20And then the next thing that happens is Loki and Sylvie get in the
- 38:24elevator, and the elevator like freaks out, and then Loki gets out of
- 38:31it real quick, and then the doors close on each other and it's just
- 38:35Sylvie stuck in the elevator. And when that happened, I was like,
- 38:37oh my god, Joe's correct, We're we are now in the moment of
- 38:42episode one from this season where Loki is jumping back and forth between time ah,
- 38:50and I think I think you might want to take it away from here
- 38:53since it was your call out. I wish I could say I was I
- 38:59was the only one from what I saw online this was this was a popular
- 39:02theory, but like it just felt right right, like that the person who
- 39:07was responsible for saving Loki was Loki, right, Yeah, and we get
- 39:13to that moment. I was also very excited as soon as I saw him
- 39:15pick up the uh the pruning stick. It was like, oh, here
- 39:19we go. We're here. Yeah, I'm I'm super interested though, like
- 39:23what this is ultimately going to mean, because like we do get some like
- 39:28there's no immediate answer as to when this is happening, Like the significance of
- 39:34this necessarily like, yes, he's saving him, right, Like that's significant
- 39:37for episode one, right, right, But but we're in episode four and
- 39:43and the scene of like Loki like understanding like, oh, I'm supposed to
- 39:49be here right now, so I can save me for all of time basically
- 39:53right right, And like there's this weird like clarity that like comes over him
- 39:59and like I'm pretty sure like we're all on the same page there with like
- 40:02what he's realizing. M hmm. What It does feel like there's something more
- 40:07to that scene that we don't quite understand yet, and like he even says
- 40:13to like Sylvie like I promise you this will all make sense right which,
- 40:16like obviously that's like a quick little joke to him and her, but I
- 40:20almost feel like that's a line from the writers to the audience, like I
- 40:22promise this will make sense right soon. Yeah, that's a great that's a
- 40:27great call. M h And the other thing to mention in the scene too,
- 40:31is we finally get an answer for who the hell is calling this random
- 40:35ask and the TVA like it's been bothering me since episode one. I was
- 40:38like, oh my god, please answer the phone, like and it and
- 40:43you know what, It's like, there's a lot going on, and he
- 40:47has taken his time to pick this phone up like it's just gonna ring forever,
- 40:52you know, Like I'm like, you know, phones typically have an
- 40:55answering machine, and even if they don't, dude, like you have bigger
- 40:59things going on right now, why are you taking your time to answer this
- 41:02phone? Like it's gonna be a problem on the other line, Like it's
- 41:06a phone call, like he's he's approaching it like it could be a bomb
- 41:09that is going to explode if he answers, like like pick something? What's
- 41:15the reason for the suspense? Right, like yeah, what so, man,
- 41:21I bet you anything? Okay, So sorry, I have to go
- 41:24back to your whole thought. Okay, So I just realized, like why
- 41:29like Benson and Morehead are directing this episode because it's all tied together with episode
- 41:35one, and episode one and four are basically like the same episode. Yeah
- 41:38right, they have to direct both because like they set that up so they
- 41:43have to come back to it. Yeah, it's a great call. Yeah,
- 41:45so, which that might be the reason why they're doing five and six
- 41:50too, Which that's writing. That's brilliant writing to begin with, because like
- 41:55they knew that they could get a different direct they could get different directors for
- 41:59two and three. Mm hmmm based on the strip. Yeah, yeah,
- 42:02they're different stories. That's like so brilliant, right, right, how they
- 42:06could like anyway, Yeah, I love I love stuff like that. The
- 42:09writers are are fantastic for this, for this series. So what I was
- 42:15gonna say there was like the thing about the telephone, Like I still don't
- 42:19really quite understand the thing with the telephone, right, it's oor boros and
- 42:22like that's kind of like a joke a little bit, right, but like
- 42:25a why is why does she know to like call that location? Like I
- 42:29feel like there's still something about that that like like missing. Like he knows
- 42:32that he needs to call a phone, he knows which phone. First of
- 42:36all, I guess there's tons of other phones, but it's weird that there's
- 42:39a phone there. Okay, like put the phone there. Why is there
- 42:43a phone next to an elevator? That makes no sense to me? But
- 42:47yeah, but but the fact that then it's ob on the phone after all
- 42:51that suspense is just was really funny because he's just like, oh, hey,
- 42:54finally, like you know, there you are and uh. But they
- 43:00have this conversation that's kind of really important, right because Miss Minutes has control
- 43:06of the system and they need to find Victor timely. But they can't do
- 43:13that because they're being slowed down by Miss Minutes sabotaging you know there are pathways
- 43:19to find him, and Obi says, well, I can reboot the system,
- 43:23but it'll take the entire safety system offline, including the dampeners for Magic
- 43:30and Loki. Loki and Sylvia at the same time, they're like do it,
- 43:35because they're like, are you kidding me? We can use magic if
- 43:37you turn off the damn system, Like why have you just done it automatically?
- 43:40Like to them, it's so obvious because if they if they can use
- 43:43magic, like this thing will be over very quickly, which is what happens.
- 43:46Ob reboots the system. We have this like Miss Minutes shutdown. That's
- 43:50really really creepy and kind of cool, Like it almost was like they were
- 43:53going through older versions and in a way it looked like and I think we
- 43:59see like the earliest iteration of Miss Minutes at the very end before she like
- 44:06completely just when she was just a chess a eye and she was just a
- 44:09yeah, which that was a really cool little thing. Also very creepy because
- 44:14her last words to Victor where you'll never be him, so she's like got
- 44:21an obsession with he who remains It is wild. But then then she fades
- 44:27and it's in he remains right like right there, right, then we see
- 44:30he remains his face. Yeah, and then like Victor is staring right at
- 44:32him and it's just like what a weird like brain like brain brain fog or
- 44:39whatever it's like for him. I want to I want to go back to
- 44:44the telephone for a second. Oh sure, yeah. So, and this
- 44:49is going to be a lot more relevant in the fifth episode. But I
- 44:52feel like, either I looked this up earlier. The writer for the majority
- 45:00of the season is Eric Martin, Right, so either Eric Martin or Benson
- 45:07in Morehead. Somebody is a big fan of Lost, someone is right,
- 45:15And the telephone thing really makes me think of Lost in a lot of ways.
- 45:21Right, and again episode five, I think this is way more clear.
- 45:27But the telephone call with or Boros something about that I don't know about
- 45:31you, Nick. It makes me think back to like my favorite Lost moment
- 45:36where Desmond and Penny reconnect over the phone and she's his constant and like he
- 45:40can suddenly like be grounded in that point of time. Right, Like I
- 45:45almost wonder if there's something similar going on there, right, and this it
- 45:50feels like it's it's important right, and this is supposed to be important,
- 45:52but it's a joke, right, Like something's going on there. It's wild,
- 45:55right, because we there's a lot of like we're talking about a lot
- 46:00during this series. Yeah, man, we have to go look that up
- 46:04before we are episode six episode because there's got to be something there. So
- 46:07we'll we'll look into that. We're gonna we're gonna go back. Let's watch
- 46:10the constant. Even if there's nothing, it's the best episode of Lost.
- 46:14Yeah, that's fact. There's gonna be a lot of people who might hear
- 46:17that, and we'll be like, uh, not pennies boat, Not pennies
- 46:22boat. That's such a sad that's so sad too. Though. Anyway,
- 46:27we don't I don't want to talk about Charlie stuff. Please don't don't make
- 46:30me, don't let me visit it. I'm gonna break up. Yeah,
- 46:37that's fine, keep going, all right, So we're going and so yeah,
- 46:42mismanage shuts down, and so very quickly Loki and Sylvie are able to
- 46:47get this done. Brad is sent out of the room to try to go
- 46:52and reboot the system, and very quickly he gets possessed by Sylvie and then
- 47:00in turn Sylvie, you know, possessing Brad has Brad with this pruning device
- 47:05walk back into the room with Victor Timeley and Renslayer, and Brad's acting a
- 47:10little bit weird, but rens Slayer doesn't know why, and you know,
- 47:15Brad moves Renslayer away from Victor Timeley says something. I forget exactly what he
- 47:20says to Renslayer, but the point is he prunes Renslayer. So Brad prunes
- 47:24prunes Renslayer and sends her to the void, which is awesome, and we
- 47:30I assume maybe this is for good, but not probably not forget, I
- 47:39mean, who knows, We don't know, but sends her to the void
- 47:43without miss minutes, which makes it a little bit more possible that Renslayer might
- 47:46not be seen again during this series. We'll see. And yeah, so
- 47:51low Kei and Sylvie come in to get Victor Timely and then they leave the
- 47:53room and then Brad gets unpossessed, and he's just like, what the hell
- 47:58just happened? And that's the last we see Brad for the moment. And
- 48:02so this is where like this is like the last five minutes the episode.
- 48:06All right, this is like everything is like really really heating up. They
- 48:08go back to the They go to the room with Obi and Casey and B
- 48:16fifteen, Sylvie, Loki, Victor to try to fix the loom, and
- 48:25we finally get the scene where Victor puts his head to get scanned and and
- 48:34to give them full access so that they can actually, you know, try
- 48:37to fix the loom and the computer, which I think is just a little
- 48:39funny thing. She's like, welcome, he who remains when when when Victor
- 48:45gets his space scanned? And yeah, So we get this quick little scene
- 48:52about who's gonna wear the suit and Loki volunteers. He's like, I'll do
- 48:59it, you know, or whatever, And right as Loki's about to walk
- 49:04down the stairs to put the suit on, Victor goes, wait, it
- 49:07should be me and explains that something could go wrong and he's the only one
- 49:13who knows how to fix it on site if something goes wrong on the bridge.
- 49:19This kind of makes a lot of sense quickly, and Loki, I
- 49:24think, realizing that it makes a lot of sense, but also selfishly not
- 49:28wanting to go out there anyway to begin with, kind of just doesn't argue
- 49:31with him, and Obi is like, we don't have any time anyway.
- 49:35So Victor go downstairs, gives him a quick speech on what to do and
- 49:40is there anything you want to say before we move on to this last part
- 49:44of episode four? No, pretty good? Right? Yeah? Yeah,
- 49:47yeah, okay. So Victor goes down, puts on the suit, he
- 49:52grabs the device to take out to the bridge, obi opens the doors.
- 49:58He's like, you gotta run really fast. You gotta you know, you
- 50:00got a hall ass or whatever. Yeah, you gotta, you gotta hoof
- 50:04it, you gotta hoof it. Victor takes a deep breath, takes one
- 50:08step outside of that door, and just gets absolutely shredded and turned into spaghetti.
- 50:15He's just completely gone, unbelievable. And at that moment, I'm just
- 50:21the look on my face is like complete shock, and the look on everyone
- 50:24else's face in the room is complete shock, and they're all just like,
- 50:28what happened? What happened? And nobody knows? And all LOOKI can say
- 50:32is he doesn't know. And then all of a sudden, we cut to
- 50:35the scene and we're looking at the loom, and the loom is just imploding.
- 50:38It just starts to rip itself open and explode, and the last thing
- 50:44we did get is a headshot of Loki, like's face getting brighter as this
- 50:47explosion is coming closer and closer, and then cut the black episode ends.
- 50:52Complete shock, just complete shock, and that's it, like we don't know,
- 51:00like and that moment, everything is gone and nothing exists anymore and they're
- 51:07all dead. And I think one of the coolest things is that Marvel wiped
- 51:15the Instagram page of Loki, deleted everything except for miss minutes. Really awesome,
- 51:28quick little marketing move. And so for a few days it was just
- 51:30that, uh, and then they reased, you know, they released a
- 51:35trailer for the last two episodes, but that was like, that was really
- 51:37cool. But yeah, I don't I don't really have anything to say about
- 51:43the ending that we haven't said already, just completely. I'm going to say
- 51:47one thing about yeah, please go ahead this just again. I'm going to
- 51:52bring up lost in the episode five. But just something else just occurred to
- 51:57me right now as we're talking about it, this ending, because I was
- 52:00gonna say, dude, how wild would it have been if this was the
- 52:04ending of the of season two? Right right? But then as I was
- 52:07thinking, and I was like, wait, that's how Lost season two ended
- 52:10when they don't turn, when they don't push the buttons right and like they
- 52:15do the fail safe and then everything fades to white. It's literally how Lost
- 52:20season two ends, when everything's imploding, right, dude, this guy must
- 52:23have been a director for Lost, Like, how do we not know this?
- 52:27I feel like someone here loved Lost because episode five there's a lot of
- 52:31Desmond similarities. Anyway. Yeah, like you said, total shock and awe.
- 52:38Could not wait for episode five as a result of this. I mean,
- 52:43there's really nothing else I can say. It was just such a great
- 52:45ending, you know, Yeah, an amazing TV ending. Yeah, incredible
- 52:53and definitely like the most shocking ending since the than out Snap and Marble.
- 52:58Definitely the And this is why this episode was probably the best TV episode they've
- 53:01done of all the shows so far. Just an incredible amount of detail and
- 53:06like shock and awe, it was it was so well done and now like
- 53:10an episode five is the most anticipated episode in a while for me of a
- 53:17TV series, purely based on how four ended, and and it was excellent.
- 53:22I don't think it disappointed at all. How do you want to how
- 53:24do you want to tackle episode five? Do you want to read the summary
- 53:28or should we just get into it. Oh, let's let's just go right
- 53:30in. I'm gonna I'm gonna do a quick quick summary. Episode five,
- 53:35we're rejoined with Loki at the TVA. Everything is spaghettifying. Loki's freaked,
- 53:40but as he's wandering around, suddenly he begins time slipping in and out of
- 53:45different places of the TVA, and he sees himself time slipping in and out
- 53:49of the TVA. Very interesting. But then Loki starts time slipping out of
- 53:55space. He starts space slipping, if you will, time space slipping,
- 54:00and he's drawn to different iterations of his friends or maybe these are the variations
- 54:08back in their proper places from when they were picked out of time in place
- 54:12in the TVA. It's unclear. As he's time slipping, and he comes
- 54:16across Casey Mobius and be fifteen. Eventually he time slips into ob who is
- 54:23a failed science fiction writer apparently, and has decided to help Loki because everything
- 54:30Loki says makes total sense. Tobie and like, bless his heart, like
- 54:35he's just so here to be helpful, and he is. He's pretty helpful.
- 54:40Masters time pad technology in about eighteen months. Thanks to the handbook that
- 54:45Loki supplies him with, we come across Sylvie, who is still not quite
- 54:50on board with everything, but for some reason, has retained her memories of
- 54:53the TVA unlike the other variations. Eventually we time slip back to where Ora
- 55:00Boros is, where we've gathered the time vengers as I'm calling them, and
- 55:07Sylvie's on board and helping because her reality has just been spaghettified. But as
- 55:12they're getting ready to take charge, it's too late and the reality therein spaghettifies.
- 55:19But then Loki time slips back into the same moment that they were just
- 55:22in moments before, and he realizes how to control his own time slipping,
- 55:28which is something Ora Boros had encouraged him to do. It's not about what,
- 55:31it's not about how, it's about who. Loki has made his full
- 55:35transition into doctor Who, and that is where we are left off. As
- 55:40Loki decides, I can I can rewrite the story, and he takes himself
- 55:46back to the moments before the TVA is spaghettified. Yeah, which is we'll
- 55:52get to that, but that it seems like, why would you go to
- 55:55that moment right before? Because like what else could possibly done in that moment
- 56:00to change it. So that'll be really interesting. But I guess we'll just
- 56:05we'll go from the top right and and we'll try to hit the more important
- 56:08points and maybe not go scene by scene, although it's tough because like I
- 56:12feel like every scene is like super important. But as you as you said,
- 56:15you know, the beginning of the episode is, Look, he's back
- 56:17in the TVA and he's time slipping again, but this time he's by himself,
- 56:22and there's a fail safe mode that's been initiated, and you know,
- 56:25there's a there's a couple of fun there's like one or two fun little scenes
- 56:28where he like talks to himself, like he says hello to someone, and
- 56:31then he realizes later, oh, he was saying hello to himself. And
- 56:34this is a very important moment because he had picked up the TVA guidebook at
- 56:37the very beginning in the TVA and that's super important for later. So the
- 56:44main part part of here is that he has a TVA guidebook on his person.
- 56:47He's got one with him. TVA turns into spaghetti. He time slips
- 56:54to a branch timeline in nineteen sixty two at Alcatraz for of all places where
- 57:01Casey is a criminal in this timeline, and Casey's breaking himself choice for him.
- 57:07Yeah, it's so funny. He's breaking himself and two others out of
- 57:09jail, and uh yeah, so like he you know, this is like
- 57:17the quick flashback where he sees where he sees him and during these scenes,
- 57:22he's he's he's time slipping to a bunch of different branch timelines where all of
- 57:28these important people are. And the one point I want to make is there
- 57:31is one place that he time slips to that we don't see again. So
- 57:38all the places that he quickly time slips between, like he does it slowly
- 57:44and he does it quickly, right like you know, the Alcatraz where case
- 57:47he is, the jet skip Shoper Mobius, is the doctor's office where the
- 57:52fifteen is. But there's one place he time slips that we don't see again,
- 57:54and it's this room with a red ball and a number five. You
- 58:00remember this, you might have to go. If you don't remember this,
- 58:04you're not. And the only reason I wrote it down is because I watched
- 58:07this episode like back to back. I watched it twice back to back,
- 58:12and so the second time, I was like, Okay, I'm gonna take
- 58:14a little bit more detailed notes. There is a there is a roomy time
- 58:16slips to really quickly. It just has like a red globe in the middle
- 58:20on a table and the number five in the background. And we don't he
- 58:22doesn't go back there. Yeah, he doesn't go back there. It's the
- 58:25only place he time slips too. That doesn't have a correlation to one of
- 58:30the people from the TVA. Right, it's right. I did think that
- 58:34this was random, right, we have no idea, but it can't be
- 58:37random. It can't be random. He's important, right, it was important.
- 58:40I don't know if if the room holds more significance than this, but
- 58:45it was important because he drops that information to oh B and Ob tells us,
- 58:51well, you can't time slip in and out of something that doesn't exist
- 58:53anymore, but you did, so therefore it's possible. And look, that
- 58:59didn't make it. He says, He's like, this did. Would you
- 59:00like me to explain it again? Ye? Yeah? And so so there
- 59:05is this on there is this room that we're like, I'm assuming we're gonna
- 59:08it has some significance for episode six, but right now, we have no
- 59:12clue. But anyway, so he's he's going out of these different branch timelines,
- 59:15and so you know, like B fifteen is a doctor in twenty twelve,
- 59:22Mobius lives in Cleveland in twenty twenty two. I thought that that was
- 59:27going somewhere because that was a very interesting date and time or excuse me,
- 59:32date and space that they chose is New York twenty twelve. Ah, yeah,
- 59:38that's just before the Battle of New York. Ah. But it's a
- 59:44branch timeline. It is a branch timeline. But it is wonder what the
- 59:47significance of that, but it is interesting if there's going to be something about
- 59:51that later. That's a very good point too. But yeah, Mobius is
- 59:55in a branch timeline in Cleveland in twenty twenty two, And so none of
- 1:00:01those are really very important. The most important person that he finds and is
- 1:00:07able to actually talk to is Ob because Ob is the one who can actually
- 1:00:09get together. So I think it's probably good what we just kind of jump
- 1:00:15into there and then we'll get to the others. Right. So Ob is
- 1:00:19it on a branch timeline nineteen ninety four, Pasadena, California, And the
- 1:00:23first we see of him is he is picking a book up off the shelf
- 1:00:28in a bookstore and he goes to the counter to buy it and it doesn't
- 1:00:32scan. And he's like, oh, I can give you cash. It's
- 1:00:35okay, and in the cashier is like, no, no, like it's
- 1:00:38weird that doesn't scan. Like some for some reason, know opens the book
- 1:00:43trying to like jog her memory. I've never seen this book in here before,
- 1:00:46Like what is this? You know? The backfold is a picture of
- 1:00:51Ob and he's the author. And turns out that Ob is a science fiction
- 1:00:54writer that nobody cares about because nobody's reading science fiction then and or on that
- 1:01:00timeline. And he's basically put his own book on the shelf to try to
- 1:01:06get sales going. And the shop, the shop owner comes around the corner.
- 1:01:10It's just like you again, like you got to stop putting your books
- 1:01:14on the shelf. No one wants to read these. It's so sad.
- 1:01:16He's such a sweet boy, and so he picks up all his books that
- 1:01:22he's like been like stuffing on the shelves there, trying to get, you
- 1:01:27know, people to buy, and he leaves, Yeah, he's trying to
- 1:01:30generate buzz and he leaves, and we get the shot from above from from
- 1:01:35Afar and above of this like really cool warehouse in the middle of nowhere.
- 1:01:38And it turns out that this is like Obie's workshop, and Obi is actually
- 1:01:43a physicist that wants to be a science fiction writer, which is really funny.
- 1:01:47Yeah he's a successful physicist, yeah, but a failed science fiction writer.
- 1:01:52Yeah. It's like such a failure. Yeah, it's incredible, hilarious.
- 1:01:57Yeah yeah, and I love how they bring that back later with the
- 1:02:00handbook. I assume we'll get yeah yeah, yeah. And and the cool
- 1:02:04part here is like Obi is the only person that Loki is like, come
- 1:02:10to see that's taught You know that Obi doesn't think Loki's talking crazy. This
- 1:02:15is like the moment that this version of Obi has been waiting for his entire
- 1:02:17life. He's like, what this is amazing? Like this is this is
- 1:02:22science fiction but it's actually happening, like literally when I wrote Yeah, yeah,
- 1:02:24I write book one of my characters and uh and Obi's mentioning this book
- 1:02:32thing and look, he's like what is this. He's like, oh,
- 1:02:35only my most popular book of all time. It's like joking that He's like
- 1:02:39the most popular fiction writer speaking speaking of books, I am wondering if this
- 1:02:45is something Marvel is intentionally doing now for marketing reasons. Uh, where they
- 1:02:51introduce a book into like a movie or TV show and then they do it
- 1:02:58to then sell that item later in the real world. For example, like
- 1:03:02Scott Ling's biography. Uh, that's a that's a book that's like out there
- 1:03:07now, Like nice, buy that book. That's cool. So like when
- 1:03:10the TVA Handbook got introduced, I was like, I wonder if they're gonna
- 1:03:13do that with the handbook, And now that OB's got like his own science
- 1:03:15fiction book, I'm like, I feel like they're setting that up to actually
- 1:03:20sell that. I'm sure that you could. There's definitely gonna be a handbook.
- 1:03:22It would be really why if they actually have a science fiction book,
- 1:03:25if they have a if they partner with a writer to actually write a science
- 1:03:29fiction book, I will I will buy that. I don't. I don't
- 1:03:32really I won't probably buy the TVA handbook because like it's a cool thing,
- 1:03:37but I don't. I'm not gonna like I'm not a collector on that sense,
- 1:03:40but like I would actually buy the science fiction book to read if they
- 1:03:43partnered with the writer for that, that'd be wild, especially if like Loki
- 1:03:47like mirrors like a character in Obi's book. Yeah, that would bete.
- 1:03:52That would be really awesome if they did that. Anyway, So we get
- 1:03:59the awesome scene right like where Loki explains the whole story to Obi and Obi's
- 1:04:08asking him, you know, all these questions and he's trying to help him
- 1:04:12control his time slipping. Where we kind of get this like, you know,
- 1:04:16like it reminds me of like any superhero story, who like an origin
- 1:04:23story of a superhero who's trying to learn how to control his powers. Right,
- 1:04:26it's like kind of we kind of get that scene where always trying to
- 1:04:28help him control his powers and he's just like trying to time slip. He
- 1:04:32looks ridiculous and he doesn't do it. And then we got Obi doing like
- 1:04:36experiments on Loki, like electrical shocks him, tries to scare him. He's
- 1:04:41like, oh no, fight or flight, Oh okay, And he's like
- 1:04:43writing down stuff trying to figure out what triggers is time slipping. And this
- 1:04:49is when they're having like no luck getting Loki to control his time slipping.
- 1:04:54So Obi has another idea and he suggests getting the band back together, which
- 1:04:57is everyone has a temporal aura. If you get everyone back together in the
- 1:05:01same room, I can read the temple or and we can get coordinates for
- 1:05:03where we have to go, which is pretty it seems like on paper,
- 1:05:10it seems like a really good suggestion to figure out like what the next move
- 1:05:13is. And it's a good plan because they don't have any other plane really
- 1:05:15right now. But after Obi suggests this, Loki asks Ob if he can
- 1:05:25build a TemPad. And this is a really cool scene because this is where
- 1:05:29the importance of Loki having the guidebook from earlier in the episode comes in.
- 1:05:33Obi doesn't know how to build a TemPad, and Loki remembers that he has
- 1:05:40a TVA handbook, and the TVA Handbook is written by Ob, and so
- 1:05:48the variant of Ob is like shocked by this, and because Loki's like,
- 1:05:55yeah, everyone has one of these, like everyone has a has a has
- 1:05:59a Gude book, and we get the sweet little line where Obi's just like,
- 1:06:02so I am going to write a best seller because it's like the most
- 1:06:06popular book in that in that version, right, And but this is cool
- 1:06:11because now Obi has a guide book for how to build a TemPad. He
- 1:06:15has the directions that a variant of himself had written, which is a whole
- 1:06:18nother or borus like in itself. It's is just like mine bending. Yeah.
- 1:06:26Now we got at least two of them going. Yeah, so now
- 1:06:29we got to at least two going. And the next thing that happens is
- 1:06:32Logi time slips and so Obi Han Loki hands the guidebook to Obi and like,
- 1:06:42right after that happens like Loki time slips any time slips to Mobius's house
- 1:06:49and uh, which is like, we get a quick little scene where we
- 1:06:56realize that Mobi's has two kids and two ways who seemed to be a pain
- 1:07:00in the ass, right, He's got two young kids. We find out
- 1:07:03that, you know, his wife is gone, Like presumably she passed away
- 1:07:06unexpectedly, is what it kind of what we're led to believe, I think
- 1:07:10is the way that we're supposed to read into that. So he's a he's
- 1:07:13a single father of two exhausted, and Loki shows up at his house and
- 1:07:23Mobius recognizes him from the shop earlier when Loki like had arrived but was only
- 1:07:28there for a second before uncontrollably time slipping again and at first Mobi's is like
- 1:07:32okay, like it's weird that you're here, but I'm going to try to
- 1:07:35sell you a jet ski because I'm a single father of two and I don't
- 1:07:39need two jet skis and I really need the money. Basically is the vibe
- 1:07:42that I got from that, and they were the way sorry, hey,
- 1:07:51it does correct form and function, yeah, which was really funny that Loki
- 1:07:58says that to him, and uh, they have a conversation and this is
- 1:08:04like the weird part here is like Loki's like, how am I gonna explain
- 1:08:08to this guy that his life isn't real and that he needs to come with
- 1:08:15me and that we need to save the world. It's like totally like it's
- 1:08:18like an impossible task that Loki is like trying to to do right now.
- 1:08:23It's like explain the unexplainable to a regular guy from Cleveland, Ohio, right,
- 1:08:30and like it not possible truth Like even like even he doesn't totally like
- 1:08:33understand it, right or like he has to try and sell that which he
- 1:08:36doesn't understand. But you know, he makes the brilliant play of like hey,
- 1:08:42like look, I know you like you're gonna miss out in your kids,
- 1:08:45but we can bring you back to like the same spot. But discounters
- 1:08:46with like, yeah, I would know what that I was missing though,
- 1:08:49and Loki's like, yeah, but you don't do this no. But before
- 1:08:56that, like before that conversation, Loki's trying to convince him without any like
- 1:09:01proof that what he's saying is real. And this is the moment where ob
- 1:09:05shows up with a with a portal. He shows up with a portal.
- 1:09:11Yeah, like Obi shows up with a portal. He walks out of the
- 1:09:14portal with a like a big TemPad, right, like a nineteen ninety four
- 1:09:18version ten pad because the technology isn't isn't good enough. It's like, yeah,
- 1:09:24this is a pomp pilot, but it's a pomch it's a huge TemPad.
- 1:09:27It's a computer sized TemPad because the technology isn't there for the smaller version
- 1:09:31that we're used to. And this is funny because he shows up He's like
- 1:09:40to Loki, it was only like he thinks it was really fast because in
- 1:09:44Loki said he just saw be like you know, an hour ago, and
- 1:09:48Obi goes, what do you mean quick? He's like, this took me
- 1:09:51nineteen months. I lost my job and my wife left me. So it's
- 1:09:57been it's been eighteen or nineteen months in Obi's world since Loki had left him
- 1:10:04this guidebook to build this ten patent to Loki, it's only been like an
- 1:10:06hour. So we get this really cool like time juxtaposition here. It's like,
- 1:10:12but this is very good that this is when Obi shows up, because
- 1:10:15it helps Mobius understand a little bit about taking a leap of faith and like
- 1:10:19believing what Loki is saying because he just saw a man teleport into his garage
- 1:10:26and then they teleported them to like the other side of the street where they're
- 1:10:32looking at Mobius's house, and this is where the conversation you mentioned comes up
- 1:10:35where they're trying to convince Mobius and he's like, no, you don't understand.
- 1:10:39We can bring you right back to this moment in time and there won't
- 1:10:42be a problem. And so the speech works and they convinced Mobias to go
- 1:10:49to go with him, and basically the next couple scenes are you know,
- 1:10:55Loki recruiting the rest of the band, right, so be fifteen the time
- 1:11:00vengers be fifteen casey, But the most important one they get back to the
- 1:11:06room. They get back to the warehouse and we're still missing Sylvie and this
- 1:11:11is like it's like, oh is that. Everyone's like no, there's one
- 1:11:13more and this is like this was a cool scene and it makes sense.
- 1:11:19But basically Loki. Loki takes the TemPad and goes to Sylvie's branch, which
- 1:11:27is what we're used to. She's back at the McDonald's. She's getting she's
- 1:11:31just getting off work, and she puts her food on the back of the
- 1:11:35truck and we see that the food turns into spaghetti and evaporates, just like
- 1:11:44the TVA did at the beginning of the episode, and so yeah, to
- 1:11:47happen immediately, we're like, okay, there there is a problem still here
- 1:11:51with time and Loki shows up and he's expecting to have to do this whole
- 1:11:59crazy speech, but Sylvie has full memory of what happened and knows who he
- 1:12:04is and like, I want to I want to talk about that. Yeah,
- 1:12:11Loki shocked that she knows who he is because no one else does.
- 1:12:14But to me, I wasn't shocked because she's a Loki. Like to me,
- 1:12:18the reason that she remembers everything is because she is also a Loki and
- 1:12:23there is a special aspect there, but what do he's what do I have?
- 1:12:29I have two thoughts on that. Well, Like it could go one
- 1:12:31of two ways, because like, yeah, they they've created a distinction there,
- 1:12:34right right, And I think I think it's either a I don't feel
- 1:12:40as good about this one, but it is a possibility that we have to
- 1:12:43consider. I think it's either a that because she is technically she who remains
- 1:12:49right, like, you know, she has like the ultra time pad,
- 1:12:54you know, the one that he who Remains had, Because she has that,
- 1:12:58like there's something special about her right where she can remember moments before like
- 1:13:03this big getification happens right right, or and this is what you were saying,
- 1:13:11there's something special about being like an as guardian or like specifically a god
- 1:13:15right right where. I think that's going to come into play of like the
- 1:13:19difference of someone like Loki one of the Loki's walking outside to go take care
- 1:13:25of what needs to be done, right. I think that's what they're trying
- 1:13:29to tell us. I think you're closer to the point. Yeah, And
- 1:13:32but also, like you brought up a point about her having the TemPad,
- 1:13:34which we didn't know until the end of the episode, right like at that
- 1:13:38moment, we don't we don't know. No, we've no, we've known
- 1:13:41she's had it since episode two. Okay, so she showed it at the
- 1:13:45McDonald's. I just I think it's one of those things though I think it
- 1:13:48was easy to forget them. I think maybe it is maybe for sure,
- 1:13:51right, because I forgot she had that. But it also brings up another
- 1:13:55point because she has that, like we don't know that she doesn't use that
- 1:14:02at the end of episode four. Yeah, I think it's actual psychical,
- 1:14:10right, because maybe she actually uses it when we're close up on Loki and
- 1:14:15everything's about to implode. It's possible that she uses it to go to that
- 1:14:17time on right, because based on how episode five starts, like episode five
- 1:14:24starts essentially kind of where four ends, and instead of there being like an
- 1:14:29explosion, it's more like obviously like the TVA goes into failsafe mode from four,
- 1:14:39So it's not like it just like all evaporates immediately, right, It's
- 1:14:41it's more of a slow process. So it's very possible that she time hopped
- 1:14:49to where we find her in episode five instead of like you know, the
- 1:14:54loom sending her there right blasting her there. I think we have to assume
- 1:14:59so save we might get it. Yeah, we might get a I wonder
- 1:15:02if they'll clarify that. They might not. Maybe it's just a fun,
- 1:15:05open to interpretation thing, but it's definitely, Yeah, it's it's an important
- 1:15:10point. So look like, look, he's obviously had a day and they
- 1:15:18go to the bos. Sylvie's like, let's go have a drink. So
- 1:15:24they go to a bar. They go to a bar and they have this
- 1:15:27this conversation. One thing I wanted to ask you about is is they showed
- 1:15:30a game, an arcade game in the bar Zaniac. That does that mean
- 1:15:36anything to you? Yeah, Christ, isn't that what Brad stars in like
- 1:15:47his movie? Oh maybe that's what it was. I think it is.
- 1:15:53I did not catch that, but I'm that's what's ringing the bell. It's
- 1:15:56an arcade game called Zaniac. I'm pretty sure that's the movie he start.
- 1:16:00It's one of those things that they put in an episode and they like they
- 1:16:03zoomed then on it to where it was like it's like a fun thing for
- 1:16:05them to include. So I was like, I wonder what that was,
- 1:16:08And I think you're right about what it is anyway. So they had this
- 1:16:12heart to heart and Sylvie gets through to Loki basically saying that Loki only wants
- 1:16:19to save everyone because he's scared of being alone, and Loki's like admitting that
- 1:16:24that's the reason, basically, right, And so he goes back to the
- 1:16:28warehouse where the rest of the band is because Sylvie has decided to stay where
- 1:16:32she is because she wants to live there in peace and not worry about it.
- 1:16:38And Loki's like acting like realizing he was being selfish, and he's trying
- 1:16:42to tell the band that okay, never mind, like this isn't happening,
- 1:16:46and this is when we get like this, we go back to Sylvie and
- 1:16:49we get like probably a cool scene of the episode, right, Sylvie walks
- 1:16:55into a record shop and she just wants to like, you know, relax
- 1:16:57at the end of us long ass day and look for a record and put
- 1:17:00a record on. And she gets handed a record from the shop owner and
- 1:17:08it's a record by Velvet Underground called Loaded, and she puts the record on
- 1:17:14and this is like a really cool One of my favorite scenes and shows and
- 1:17:17movies and stuff is when like they put records on and you notice that the
- 1:17:26record is on side too, and I'm always like, oh, I wonder
- 1:17:29if they dropped the needle in the right place, And she drops the needle
- 1:17:35like at the beginning of side too, which is which is a song?
- 1:17:39I believe it's supposed to be called Hands Held High, or I might be
- 1:17:43a little bit wrong. I don't think that's the correct title. But anyway,
- 1:17:48it's not the song that plays. The song that plays is Oh Sweet
- 1:17:51Nutting, which is also on that side of the record, but it's the
- 1:17:54last song on that record, so the needle isn't dropped in the correct spot,
- 1:17:57which, like, if you're a music buff or like whatever, that's
- 1:18:00a cool little detail, right, like that they don't actually the song that
- 1:18:03plays is not actually where the needles dropped on that side too. This man's
- 1:18:09playing Galaga. He thought we wouldn't notice, Yeah, but we did,
- 1:18:13well, we did. But so it's a fun little blurb for the music
- 1:18:17buffs and the music people out there like me. But that song that does
- 1:18:21play is a really fantastic song and it's perfect for the scene. Right.
- 1:18:29It's like Sylvia is just like unwinding after this long essay, and behind her
- 1:18:34we see her world, her timeline start to disintegrate and turn into spaghetti,
- 1:18:41and the shop owner tries to like like yells her name, and she turns
- 1:18:45around and she sees this happen, and it's just like everything goes black because
- 1:18:48this world is now this timeline is now gone. And this is when the
- 1:18:54TemPad comes back in and we realize, oh, yeah, that's right.
- 1:18:56She has this like all world tempat She can go wherever she wants. And
- 1:19:02she goes to Loki in the warehouse after he's got done saying that you know,
- 1:19:09everyone, it's fine, you go back to your lives and whatever.
- 1:19:14And she shows up and she's like, no, it's not going to be
- 1:19:17okay. We have a huge problem and I'm trying to get to my notes
- 1:19:25now. Oh so, the thing about the TemPad that bothered me that she
- 1:19:30has this all world TemPad, like she didn't even bother to go look for
- 1:19:34everyone else. She she wants something to do with them. She yeah,
- 1:19:39the fact that she was like she had all of her memories like Loki,
- 1:19:45and she just like wanted to live her life on her timeline. She didn't
- 1:19:48give a shit about anyone else. She didn't care to look at all she
- 1:19:54was totally happy. I was like, talk about selfish. That's insan.
- 1:19:58That was like I was like, mad, this is ridiculous. So but
- 1:20:03she goes. Uh so she gets back to the warehouse and this is like
- 1:20:11Obi's like, so it was a fiction problem because she's coming back. She's
- 1:20:18coming back, and he's actually, yeah, it was like actually, like
- 1:20:23everything's going to hell, like we do need to do something about this,
- 1:20:26and Obi's like it was a fiction problem. So anyway, and then at
- 1:20:30this moment, like the real quick blurb about this is when they all realize
- 1:20:35that they're turning into spaghetti, like like Casey turns into spaghetti and like disintegrates,
- 1:20:40and then be fifteen starts to Mobius has a reaction that I think is
- 1:20:45really important, and that version of Mobius just wanted to go back to his
- 1:20:47boys. And the reason this is important is because the Mobius that we know
- 1:20:51him back at the TVA doesn't want to know what his life was on the
- 1:20:55timeline before. He's happy with where he is and with doing important work at
- 1:21:00the TVA, and so it's really it was really cool to see that version
- 1:21:04of Mobius, like I'm not glad you brought this up. Yeah, no,
- 1:21:08I'm glad you brought this up because because there's a very specific question that
- 1:21:12I don't remember if it's Sylvie or Loki asks him of this, I want
- 1:21:15to say it's Loki when he asks him about like aren't you curious? Yeah,
- 1:21:19And look, one of the questions is one of the questions is aren't
- 1:21:24you curious about who you left behind? Right? And like that's going to
- 1:21:28be like the anchor to this character, right, Yeah, not to like
- 1:21:30a spun there, but yeah, that's that's ultimately gonna come back. Yeah,
- 1:21:34And so I thought that was a really cool thing that they showed about,
- 1:21:38like how this version of Mobius is reacting, right, and so that's
- 1:21:42definitely an important thing to remember for later probably. But anyway, so everyone's
- 1:21:46turning like everyone's dicentegrating now and they're basically like the last two people left are
- 1:21:54Loki and Sylvie. And then Sylvie starts to also to integrate because time is
- 1:22:00finally caught up, and she she says there's nowhere left to go because she
- 1:22:03must have checked before she went to see them with her ten pad. She's
- 1:22:08like, there's nowhere else. This is the last moment basically in time and
- 1:22:13when Loki sees Sylvie disappear, he he ends up being able to control his
- 1:22:20time slipping, and he time slips right back to the moment right before when
- 1:22:27Sylvie came to the group in the warehouse and said, no, like,
- 1:22:30there's a problem, and this is like in that moment, Loki's like,
- 1:22:33he turns to Obi and he says, I can control it and realizes that
- 1:22:39it's not there's not a why or how, it's about who, and I
- 1:22:42can imagine it's about Sylvie, right, like losing the connection they have that
- 1:22:46we saw in the first season with the portal opening to save them from this
- 1:22:49world that they weren't to be able to get out of. They have a
- 1:22:54connection that is really important, and this is the thing that helps him control
- 1:22:59his time. I'm slipping is losing Soley basically, at least that's what I
- 1:23:04got from it. Yeah, And that was his that's his constant. That's
- 1:23:10his constant is that and so he can control it, and he time slips
- 1:23:17right back to the end of episode four, where he's standing on top of
- 1:23:24the stairs at the TVA watching Victor Timeley walk down, and he says,
- 1:23:30I can rewrite history, all right, no, I can rewrite the story.
- 1:23:34I can rewrite the story. Sorry, I can rewrite the story.
- 1:23:38That's that's very important. That's a callback to here remains. Yeah, and
- 1:23:46it's fascinating, right because there were moments in this episode when they were collecting
- 1:23:50the guy, they were collecting everyone, where he was getting the band back
- 1:23:54together, and I was like, wait, am I right? Is he
- 1:23:57going to re start the TVA? Because I remember at there episode three,
- 1:24:00I was like, what if Loki's the one who actually like the one who
- 1:24:05created a TVA. And I don't think that's actually the case now after watching
- 1:24:09this episode, but there was moments where it was very interesting. But then
- 1:24:12at the end where he's like, I can rewrite the story, it's like,
- 1:24:14well maybe technically, my I don't know. It's there are so many
- 1:24:19Horrbores situations right now in this in the show. It's quite fascinating. It
- 1:24:25is. But that's the end of the episode. Record for the for the
- 1:24:28record, just real quick on that. The reason why I kept talking about
- 1:24:31Loss was like this episode in particular reminded me so much of Loss. The
- 1:24:36constant right where Desmond's mind is time slipping everywhere, it's the same exact concept.
- 1:24:45Someone's definitely a fan of loss. That's all I'm saying. Yeah,
- 1:24:46I think you got And then of course the thing that like Ancherson back is
- 1:24:49a person, right, very interesting. The last thing that I want to
- 1:24:56talk about is a point that you made that I want you to make on
- 1:25:00on the on the call. You need to talk about the similarities between each
- 1:25:04episode of both seasons. Yeah, I think it still stands for five so
- 1:25:12two. I think you can make an argument. So I want you to
- 1:25:14make those points real quick because they're super important before we end the before we
- 1:25:17end the episode. So what Nick is talking about is we were on the
- 1:25:23phone one day. We don't talk about anything else except this. This is
- 1:25:27what we live for. This is what we live for. Yeah, it's
- 1:25:30Glory's purpose. And I was telling Nick I had this thought that I realized
- 1:25:34there's a lot of weird parallels between the first season and the second season if
- 1:25:39you go episode by episode, And what I mean by that is if you
- 1:25:42take a look, there are certain beats that are the same. So like,
- 1:25:46for example, like in episode one of both seasons, we start with
- 1:25:50a Loki who is on the run from the TVA. Episode one starts this
- 1:25:54way as he becomes unstuck in time. Episode two starts this way as again
- 1:25:59he's unstuck in time and he's being chased. Right. Season two episode one
- 1:26:03starts the same way. Sorry. Season two episode one, Yeah, just
- 1:26:06unstuck in time. Yeah, time slipping back and forth, right, TVA
- 1:26:10is chasing Episode two. Of both episodes, we have Loki now working with
- 1:26:15the seasons both seasons, and we are looking for the variant Sylvie in both
- 1:26:21seasons. Episode three. I think this one's a little weaker for this argument,
- 1:26:26but I think there I think it still make it work. We have
- 1:26:30Loki and Sylvie who are opposed to each other in both of these episodes,
- 1:26:34but by the end of both episodes they are now on the same page.
- 1:26:39They are now working together right. Episode four is where I felt really confident
- 1:26:44about this theory. Episode four ends with both Lokis both Season one Lokian Season
- 1:26:50two Loki basically getting wiped from existence, or at least the way we knew
- 1:26:56existence right. Episode one ends with him being pruned by RASONA season one episode.
- 1:27:00Season one episode four, thank you for fact checking me on that ends
- 1:27:04with Ravona pruning him. Season two ends with of course the loom exploding and
- 1:27:11him being wiped out. R right, So you follow these fascinating Yeah,
- 1:27:15yeah, we're we're hidding the same beats. It's almost like yo, time
- 1:27:19repeats itself. Yeah, and of course episode five, episode five, we're
- 1:27:25in the void. Episode five of season two, we're not on the void,
- 1:27:30but we're also kind of like in this weird time limbo where Loki's dealing
- 1:27:34with being pruned out of existence and now trying to get back to what was
- 1:27:40right. Right. Yeah, the parallels for each episode are like so on
- 1:27:45point, and that's such a great it's such a great call by you to
- 1:27:48notice those two the parallel for each episode. It's like really fascinating, Like
- 1:27:55this is a it's totally awesome. So yeah, that's a great, totally
- 1:27:58great points. But again, yeah, that's the last thing I wanted to
- 1:28:00talk about. Uh, something for everyone to think about. What's your projection
- 1:28:05for six based on that parallel? What six is gonna be like? Right?
- 1:28:10Because episode six we meet he who remains in season one, and so
- 1:28:18I wonder what's gonna happen here in the last episode of season two? How
- 1:28:23is that parallel? This is a good question Okay, So, like,
- 1:28:27so, no matter what happens, we know Jonathan Major's is gonna be in
- 1:28:30this last episode because we know he signed for three episodes, So right away,
- 1:28:34I think that means we, well, we're definitely gonna see Victor timely
- 1:28:39again. But for the parallel, I think we're definitely going back to the
- 1:28:42end of time, and I think it's definitely gonna end with somebody is on
- 1:28:46the throne at the end of time. There will be a new he who
- 1:28:51remains, and I get in the vibe. I'm kind of getting the vibe
- 1:28:55it's either Sylvie or Loki. I mean, maybe it's Ravona. It would
- 1:28:59make sense if it's Hut, But yeah, that's that's what I'm going There
- 1:29:02is a new they remains, it would be It would be so wild if
- 1:29:09it ends up being Sylvie because the whole reason, the whole reason that we're
- 1:29:14having this problem in season two is because Sylvie was impatient and killed he remains
- 1:29:18and didn't listen to Loki. I think that Loki would be the most likely
- 1:29:24no, but I think he's too important of a character to just have like
- 1:29:30chilling at the end of time, right Yeah, So it's gonna be interesting.
- 1:29:34It's fascinating. So I have no idea. I really your prediction is
- 1:29:39better than I could have come up with, like, so it'll be interesting
- 1:29:42to see what happens next. Yeah, that's it. We'll see We'll see
- 1:29:46you guys in a week with the updates on six. But until then,
- 1:29:53mayther of you be with you. Its
