- 0:00Speaker 1: It's your early what it frainds party. I am a
- 0:03Speaker 1: Sherry Mackie in his time, right now for today's word.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Living a legacy that last, Living a legacy that last.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Psalms one five and four says one generation shall command
- 0:18Speaker 1: your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.
- 0:22Speaker 1: You know, every family is building something, whether intentionally or not.
- 0:27Speaker 1: A legacy is not just what we leave behind immateial things,
- 0:32Speaker 1: but what we deposit into the hearts, the habits, and
- 0:35Speaker 1: the faith of those who come after us. It's easy
- 0:39Speaker 1: to think of legacy as something far away, something for later,
- 0:44Speaker 1: But the truth is legacy is built in everyday moment.
- 0:48Speaker 1: It's in the conversations at the dinner table, the prayers
- 0:52Speaker 1: whispered over children, the way forgiveness is practiced in the home,
- 0:56Speaker 1: and the way love is expressed when life feel stressful
- 1:01Speaker 1: or uncertain. Children don't just inherit possessions, They inherit patterns.
- 1:08Speaker 1: They learn how to handle pressure by watching how we
- 1:12Speaker 1: respond to it. They learn how to treat people by
- 1:14Speaker 1: watching how we treat others. They learn faith not only
- 1:18Speaker 1: from what we say, but from what we consistently live.
- 1:23Speaker 1: A strong family legacy is not built on perfection. It's
- 1:26Speaker 1: built on consistency. It's built on humility and a willingness
- 1:30Speaker 1: to keep God at the center even when life is messy.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Every time a family chooses prayer over panic, grace over anger,
- 1:39Speaker 1: and unity over division, they're building something that outlives them.
- 1:45Speaker 1: There will always be competing voices trying to shape the
- 1:49Speaker 1: next generation. Culture, media, peers, and pressure, But the most
- 1:53Speaker 1: powerful influence a family can have is a life that
- 1:58Speaker 1: reflects God's truth at home, not just in public. Legacy
- 2:03Speaker 1: is also about repair. Some are building from a strong foundation,
- 2:09Speaker 1: while others are the first ones to break cycles of hurt,
- 2:15Speaker 1: cycles of addiction, cycles of silence, or even distance. Either way,
- 2:21Speaker 1: God is able to redeem what has been broken establish
- 2:25Speaker 1: something new through obedience and faith. See, the goal is
- 2:30Speaker 1: not a perfect family, it's a faithful one. A family
- 2:33Speaker 1: that keeps turning back to God. A family that chooses
- 2:36Speaker 1: love when it's hard, A family that makes room for forgiveness.
- 2:40Speaker 1: A family that remembers that faith is not just spoken,
- 2:43Speaker 1: it is a live What you do today is shaping
- 2:47Speaker 1: tomorrow more than you realize. The words you speak, the
- 2:52Speaker 1: values you model, and the time you invest all of
- 2:55Speaker 1: it is becoming part of someone else's story. Wisely, love, intentionally,
- 3:03Speaker 1: live faithfully, because the greatest inheritance is not what we
- 3:10Speaker 1: leave to our children, is what we leave in our children.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Oh Father God, help us help our families to build
- 3:21Speaker 1: a legacy that honors you. Teach us to love well,
- 3:25Speaker 1: to forgive quickly, and to walk in unity. Let our
- 3:28Speaker 1: homes be filled with your presence, your peace, and your truth. God.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Let us be the ones to shape our generations for
- 3:36Speaker 1: your glory to come. In Jesus' name. Now that is
