- 1:28Speaker 1: Really hyped for it, you know what I mean? Eight right, Yeah,
- 1:31Speaker 1: that's the eight number. No.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Ten, twenty twenty six, that's ten, so oh yeah one yeah,
- 1:37Speaker 3: so it's basically one in numerology. So it's a start
- 1:40Speaker 3: of a new cycle.
- 1:41Speaker 4: Oh I see, yes, there we go.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Okay, that feels really good.
- 1:44Speaker 3: Feels really good, you know what I mean, little numbers,
- 1:47Speaker 3: a little knowledge for the people that are out there.
- 1:49Speaker 1: How are you doing, Tadwannah?
- 1:51Speaker 4: Not bad, not bad to getting, like you said, just
- 1:53Speaker 4: gearing up from the new year, planning a lot for
- 1:58Speaker 4: especially the next few months, just when it comes to
- 2:00Speaker 4: for all nerds, when it comes to myself, just make
- 2:03Speaker 4: sure that I'm prepared for life. Yes, I understand. I
- 2:07Speaker 4: know that's what everyone's trying to do right now, especially
- 2:09Speaker 4: in the times that we're living in. So, you know,
- 2:12Speaker 4: I do things to try to take my mind off
- 2:14Speaker 4: of the bullshit that's happening.
- 2:17Speaker 1: What we're here for.
- 2:18Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, reading a lot, you know, doing a
- 2:22Speaker 4: lot of research.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Yeah too, you have what you've been researching?
- 2:26Speaker 3: Well, I've been reading and I finally hop back up
- 2:30Speaker 3: all my dual lingo of course, oh good, Yeah, I've.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Been doing it. I'm on my well. When I say
- 2:35Speaker 2: been doing, I mean I started this year.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Yeah better, I know your street's been going.
- 2:38Speaker 4: So I'm on two fifty six, so way, I need
- 2:40Speaker 4: to add you as a friends. I can get some
- 2:41Speaker 4: extra points, man.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Most definitely you do. Let's do it.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Okay, good, yep, I'm on there. Anyone else hit me up,
- 2:46Speaker 3: dual lingo. I'm getting my inexpaniol back on.
- 2:49Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Very good, very And let's see,
- 2:52Speaker 1: I've been reading. I was reading A. Z Way's book
- 2:55Speaker 1: Black Friend for.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Everybody watching us on for our nerds right now, you
- 2:58Speaker 3: know YouTube you can peep the book in my hand.
- 3:00Speaker 3: Z Way the Legend. This is a book of her essays.
- 3:04Speaker 3: And I've also been reading Tony Morrison The Source of
- 3:08Speaker 3: Self Regard, a book of her essays.
- 3:11Speaker 1: I've got Tony and z Way right there. You know,
- 3:14Speaker 1: very good. I love that. Yeah.
- 3:17Speaker 4: I'm on the opposite side of especially I'm reading things
- 3:19Speaker 4: like scientific journals about and stuff like that, like about
- 3:22Speaker 4: ways to better myself on health perspective, nutrition perspective, stuff
- 3:25Speaker 4: like that.
- 3:26Speaker 1: So as you should be.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Yeah, especially in these days and times that we are
- 3:32Speaker 3: all living in.
- 3:33Speaker 4: Excellent, excellent, excellent.
- 3:35Speaker 3: Excellent, party time, Party time? Man, what else is doing on?
- 3:41Speaker 3: There's something else that I wanted to talk about.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Yeah, real quick.
- 3:44Speaker 3: People were asking me was I high during the last
- 3:47Speaker 3: episode of for o Nerds when we were reviewing Stranger Things,
- 3:51Speaker 3: and I messed up a bunch of you loaded question.
- 3:54Speaker 3: First of all, yeah, why you ask me? You know
- 3:56Speaker 3: why you're in my business? First of all, you are
- 3:58Speaker 3: mining business. Second of all, yes, yes.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Third of all these white people in.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Their names, it's like Eddie, Max, Will, Grace, No, nobody's
- 4:09Speaker 3: name Grace, I know, I don't know Henderson, Hendrickson, I
- 4:15Speaker 3: don't know. I think they're basic ass names. Even the
- 4:18Speaker 3: black dude is named Lucas. It's like, come on, fan,
- 4:20Speaker 3: you want me to, you know, differentiate them.
- 4:23Speaker 4: I think at the end of the day, y'all knew
- 4:25Speaker 4: who he was talking about.
- 4:26Speaker 1: They did, and they but they just wanted to sit there.
- 4:28Speaker 1: I mean, that's it.
- 4:29Speaker 3: They all knew what I was talking about. But then
- 4:30Speaker 3: they're all like, why is he talking about Max's brother?
- 4:33Speaker 3: Because Max's brothers Eddie. I think it is. I still
- 4:37Speaker 3: don't know or really can.
- 4:38Speaker 2: I And as said, I couldn't help it.
- 4:40Speaker 4: I wasn't gonna catch you or anything because I know
- 4:41Speaker 4: I don't watch the show.
- 4:42Speaker 3: So anyway, that being the point, y'all know what I
- 4:47Speaker 3: was talking about. But thank you for all the comments
- 4:49Speaker 3: either way. I love it either way, you know, bringing
- 4:52Speaker 3: the heat when I mess up, you know whatever.
- 4:54Speaker 4: First of all, for those who never been here, never
- 4:57Speaker 4: had I never been nowhere. This is the butcher of names.
- 5:00Speaker 4: He has been the guy, this, the guy, this guy.
- 5:04Speaker 1: For yeah, I guess this happens.
- 5:06Speaker 2: It's just what he does.
- 5:07Speaker 4: And also like even I do it at times, like
- 5:10Speaker 4: half the time, I do it on perfect because I
- 5:12Speaker 4: don't care and don't well actually me, but like cause
- 5:16Speaker 4: especially when you know that I know that, you know
- 5:19Speaker 4: that I know who I'm talking about, so.
- 5:22Speaker 3: And it's like we care about the deeper thing of it,
- 5:24Speaker 3: you know, you know, like no one of random I'm sorry,
- 5:27Speaker 3: but most no they're not random. But you know what
- 5:29Speaker 3: I mean when you have to keep track of all
- 5:31Speaker 3: these different characters plus everything else going on in life,
- 5:33Speaker 3: like I'm just keeping track of a major storylines, how
- 5:36Speaker 3: I feel about things, et cetera, et cetera. Like names,
- 5:39Speaker 3: I'm sorry and I don't. We don't sit there and
- 5:41Speaker 3: go to Google, et cetera. You know we're just talking
- 5:43Speaker 3: straight to you.
- 5:44Speaker 4: I mean yeah, like sometimes it just comes off the dome, right.
- 5:47Speaker 4: We don't have time to just run into things. So,
- 5:48Speaker 4: like I said, I do understand, you know, beloved characters,
- 5:51Speaker 4: beloved series, you want people want us to get it
- 5:53Speaker 4: right understood.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Also know what I'm saying.
- 5:59Speaker 4: You know, if we and what happened, like that happened
- 6:01Speaker 4: to me where I'll say a wrong name or something
- 6:02Speaker 4: and then maybe ten minutes later I'll catch it myself.
- 6:05Speaker 4: I don't know if anybody knows, I'll try to correct it.
- 6:06Speaker 4: But if I don't, I don't you know what I
- 6:08Speaker 4: mean to stay still valid? Like if I if I'm
- 6:12Speaker 4: still valid in my expression, then you know I messed
- 6:16Speaker 4: up on a name? Who cares? My favorite I use
- 6:18Speaker 4: I use descriptions of the person I'd be, like that
- 6:21Speaker 4: nigga with the red shirt, the one I always with,
- 6:23Speaker 4: the high time faid like you know what I'm talking about.
- 6:26Speaker 3: There is the woe with a terrible faith, the one
- 6:28Speaker 3: who got his ass beat, the two who are in
- 6:30Speaker 3: love with each other.
- 6:31Speaker 1: But they're not Nancy, who needs to ditch the mother to.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Suckers or remember Nancy's name? Yeah, because many of Nancy there, right, Yeah,
- 6:41Speaker 2: because she you.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Know, because I know she needs to ditch the mother
- 6:44Speaker 3: two suckers, Steve and I think Johnathan, I think listen.
- 6:51Speaker 2: I can't help you with that.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I can't wait. I can't lie.
- 6:57Speaker 3: I cannot wait for the last few episodes of Stranger Things.
- 6:59Speaker 3: Will be back to review him of course Christmas Day
- 7:04Speaker 3: and then December thirty first, so.
- 7:07Speaker 1: We will be here for both of those and I
- 7:09Speaker 1: can't wait. Man, I can't lie. They got me. I'm
- 7:11Speaker 1: hype suld be good. We'll see what's going on.
- 7:16Speaker 4: So though, although I am not watching that show, and
- 7:19Speaker 4: I might jump back on the bandwagon, but I mean
- 7:21Speaker 4: it's trying to force me to get back on the Yeah,
- 7:25Speaker 4: I don't know, man. There's other stuff that has in
- 7:27Speaker 4: my attention right now, Pluribus being one of them. Very
- 7:32Speaker 4: very Vince Gillian Gill again, Gillian Gilli, he's valid.
- 7:38Speaker 2: I got a long time now.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Yeah, for for a long time now, I said. I
- 7:44Speaker 3: think he goes back to X files and anything. I
- 7:46Speaker 3: know he had stuff before breaking bad like most showrunners do.
- 7:49Speaker 3: There worked on other shows, you know, previous to running
- 7:52Speaker 3: the show themselves, but most people know him for Breaking
- 7:56Speaker 3: Bad and Better call Saul and now for Pluribus.
- 8:01Speaker 4: We many weeks ago we just talked in general about
- 8:06Speaker 4: the series, and I think like since now we've caught
- 8:09Speaker 4: we we've watched all the episodes, we caught up, we
- 8:11Speaker 4: know what's going on. I know we're going to have
- 8:12Speaker 4: more specific conversation about it.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Probably could talk about.
- 8:15Speaker 4: It now, and also like just you know, just different
- 8:19Speaker 4: things about like how you feel about the stories, certain characters,
- 8:22Speaker 4: things that have been going on in general.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Like I said, we both love the show. We both
- 8:27Speaker 2: love how it was.
- 8:28Speaker 4: Developer is developing about the premise of the story. For
- 8:31Speaker 4: those who don't know, you know, one day, basically, how
- 8:37Speaker 4: do I say this in a way that anyone, regardless
- 8:39Speaker 4: of the fantom can understand.
- 8:41Speaker 3: One day, an alien virus takes over nine point all
- 8:48Speaker 3: of humanities, just.
- 8:50Speaker 4: About all of humanity, I mean every billion except for
- 8:53Speaker 4: twelve people, yes, for.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Twelve, thirteen, fourteen, whoever man and people less than twenty
- 8:58Speaker 3: less than twenty. Yeah, all of humanity is now occupied
- 9:03Speaker 3: by a hive mind that communicates telepathically with each other
- 9:07Speaker 3: and is basically about peace and happiness. All of humanity
- 9:11Speaker 3: is now united under a hive mind of happiness.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Correct and for our hero, our.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Hero when depending on who you talk to, because I.
- 9:23Speaker 4: Like the the prevailing conversation, I raise my hand. The
- 9:27Speaker 4: prevailing conversation is lots of black people with people of
- 9:30Speaker 4: color don't really fuck with her, wow, for reasons, for reasons,
- 9:34Speaker 4: while you know, white people love her.
- 9:35Speaker 2: And we'll get to that in a second.
- 9:37Speaker 1: But but they I hope not, because God.
- 9:40Speaker 4: That's actually you go on TikTok, that's actually the prevailing
- 9:42Speaker 4: conversation right now.
- 9:45Speaker 2: And I guessaid, well, we'll talk a little bit about that.
- 9:47Speaker 4: But like to Ben, I mean's point, that's the premise
- 9:49Speaker 4: of the series, and it's it's so interesting because it
- 9:53Speaker 4: forces you to even question your own judgment about like
- 9:57Speaker 4: if that happened to you, how would you react? Like
- 10:00Speaker 4: would you because as mentioned, these this alien their hive mind.
- 10:05Speaker 4: I say there, I mean generally all of humanity except
- 10:07Speaker 4: for the less than twenty people are linked. They refer
- 10:11Speaker 4: to themselves as we There are no individuals, There isn't
- 10:14Speaker 4: an individual thought. They know everything that could have to
- 10:18Speaker 4: be known from humanity of every time, everywhere.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Of everywhere that's alive at this moment.
- 10:24Speaker 4: And whatever knowledge that they've harbored up until this moment.
- 10:28Speaker 2: So could you know, mad old people who have knowledge right?
- 10:31Speaker 4: So everything right, everything a lot of so little like
- 10:35Speaker 4: these people's is walking, Google's right, walk.
- 10:38Speaker 2: In their eyes walking everything right.
- 10:40Speaker 4: They they could walk.
- 10:41Speaker 3: In karate masters walking at any point times child can.
- 10:47Speaker 4: Assume any identity generally like they could because they could.
- 10:51Speaker 4: It's like the matrix, right, they could tap into any
- 10:53Speaker 4: piece of information, any skill set, generally right within their
- 10:56Speaker 4: physical Ok. Bilion know, we don't even know if that's
- 10:59Speaker 4: the true. Maybe the the people you don't think how
- 11:01Speaker 4: the physical caper they can do it now, I don't know.
- 11:03Speaker 4: But the point is you have this and they're all
- 11:08Speaker 4: positive and nice and anything we can do for you
- 11:11Speaker 4: will bend over backwards to make you happy.
- 11:13Speaker 2: That's how they move.
- 11:14Speaker 4: And the main character, Carol, the White Lady, she is
- 11:18Speaker 4: the anticitus of that. She's like, fuck this, I'm an individual,
- 11:23Speaker 4: I will retain my individuality. I need to reverse this situation.
- 11:26Speaker 4: This is not good. She's miserable and it wasn't miserable
- 11:30Speaker 4: even before all this happened.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Yes, that is a major point you just made right there. Yes,
- 11:35Speaker 3: yes she was already miserable, And like you said, I
- 11:37Speaker 3: really do like how it does challenge people to think
- 11:42Speaker 3: about what you would do in such a situation. It's
- 11:44Speaker 3: a different type of apocalyptic scenario than we've seen most times,
- 11:49Speaker 3: where the apocalypse is the end of humanity in a way.
- 11:54Speaker 3: This is the end of humanity in a different way.
- 11:56Speaker 3: But it's like usually we see it through destruction, while
- 11:59Speaker 3: this is basically upliftment, and it's I've distrusted before. When
- 12:03Speaker 3: you've read a lot of comic books, a lot of
- 12:05Speaker 3: sci fi, et cetera. This is a type of idea
- 12:07Speaker 3: that's been brought up many a time and a lot
- 12:10Speaker 3: of stories about mutants. They always talk about mutants will
- 12:13Speaker 3: evolve and evolve and eventually they'll get to this level
- 12:16Speaker 3: or even the eternals have a hive mind type situation
- 12:20Speaker 3: when they need to. I think the inhumans do as well.
- 12:23Speaker 3: So this is something that's been thought of, but what
- 12:26Speaker 3: I've I've never seen it where it's something like this
- 12:28Speaker 3: where the hive mind has basically won up till right now.
- 12:33Speaker 3: You know normally quickly or even if I mean the
- 12:36Speaker 3: eternals is something like where they can assume the hive
- 12:39Speaker 3: mind and they don't have to assume you know, it's
- 12:40Speaker 3: like you know, it's useful to them. Yeah, this is
- 12:43Speaker 3: something where at least for our protagonists, it's we're.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Not she's not feeling it.
- 12:49Speaker 3: Yeah, but like you said, the whole white man, I
- 12:51Speaker 3: mean white women. Think it's quite interesting because we also
- 12:54Speaker 3: see in the latest episode and since the beginning, not
- 12:57Speaker 3: even all the people of color are being altruistic about it.
- 13:01Speaker 3: Some of them out for self and just using this,
- 13:04Speaker 3: you know, like whatever, which.
- 13:06Speaker 4: As a person I don't. And also, as I told you,
- 13:09Speaker 4: if I got Superhouse, I would be a villainy that
- 13:11Speaker 4: type of character, as a chaotic good type person. I
- 13:15Speaker 4: understand you've lived your life in a particular way where
- 13:20Speaker 4: you may or may not have that access to this stuff.
- 13:22Speaker 4: You could have struggled, or you could have just been
- 13:24Speaker 4: like I figure, I'm middle class, right, I just I'm not.
- 13:28Speaker 4: I'm not out there starving. I'm also not living wearing
- 13:32Speaker 4: Gucci all day.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Right, So so now it's time for guccis.
- 13:35Speaker 2: It's time for Gucci.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Now it's my latest outfit.
- 13:42Speaker 4: At this point, it's all gifts, donations the long end,
- 13:49Speaker 4: so listen. As mentioned, Carol Caro has been miserable before.
- 13:55Speaker 4: Like she she was this famous like fiction a you know,
- 13:58Speaker 4: the when I write those trashy romance and she had
- 14:01Speaker 4: mad fans, people fucked with her, women and her every
- 14:04Speaker 4: beck and called men too. I think some men just
- 14:06Speaker 4: people have every beck and call like like feeling her
- 14:09Speaker 4: art right because at the end of the day, regardless
- 14:10Speaker 4: of whether you thought of trashy, it was still a.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Form of art.
- 14:13Speaker 2: And she thought what that shit was was trash.
- 14:15Speaker 1: She thought.
- 14:16Speaker 4: She was like, I can't believe people like this shit.
- 14:18Speaker 4: She would just write any fucking thing and niggas would
- 14:20Speaker 4: eat it up. And now you know, she's in a
- 14:23Speaker 4: space where it's so interesting to me. She's in a
- 14:25Speaker 4: space where like everyone wants to bend to her will, but.
- 14:28Speaker 2: She don't want it. At least she don't want it
- 14:30Speaker 2: in this way when it was happening.
- 14:33Speaker 4: She didn't want it in this way. She really don't
- 14:36Speaker 4: want it because and you go ahead, you you said
- 14:38Speaker 4: what you need to say.
- 14:40Speaker 3: No, no, you were on the right path right there.
- 14:42Speaker 3: Carol is the ultimate expression of the classic Prince arms.
- 14:45Speaker 3: She's never satisfied, you know what I mean, that is
- 14:47Speaker 3: always going to be her and that was something that
- 14:51Speaker 3: we're I know, we'll see more of it, but I
- 14:53Speaker 3: want to see what drove her to the alcoholism, what
- 14:56Speaker 3: drove her to the drugs.
- 14:58Speaker 1: I know, you know her upbringing and was definitely rough
- 15:01Speaker 1: as a child. She had a rough childhood.
- 15:03Speaker 3: But at a point she has this wife who loves her.
- 15:06Speaker 3: You know, she is definitely, as you said, a well
- 15:09Speaker 3: regarded author for the most part, at least.
- 15:11Speaker 1: To her fans.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Yeah, she's got mad fans.
- 15:14Speaker 3: But at some point during that time, there is a
- 15:17Speaker 3: massive use of drugs and alcohol, to the point where
- 15:20Speaker 3: she has to use the breathalyzer to even start.
- 15:22Speaker 1: A car up.
- 15:23Speaker 4: I mean, this is the tortured artists thing, right, where
- 15:25Speaker 4: like the artist is making all this and people love it,
- 15:27Speaker 4: but they're not fucking with it, and like they know
- 15:30Speaker 4: that's their livelihood, that's the only way that they're getting by.
- 15:33Speaker 4: That's the only thing that seems to be acceptable to
- 15:35Speaker 4: the masses, and that's and that's not the art that
- 15:37Speaker 4: they want.
- 15:38Speaker 1: To create them. That's me. See.
- 15:41Speaker 4: So she so she's I say that as I'm thinking
- 15:44Speaker 4: that that's what that was like torture, soul stuff could
- 15:46Speaker 4: be a number of different things that we haven't learned yet.
- 15:48Speaker 2: We don't really know all.
- 15:49Speaker 4: Of Carol's backstory in her life. We just know about
- 15:54Speaker 4: for the last few days, how things were, the last
- 15:56Speaker 4: few weeks, how things were before shit changed over in
- 15:58Speaker 4: the world, and her react to it. And just to
- 16:01Speaker 4: go back to that a little bit about how people
- 16:03Speaker 4: react to the thing. Like you mentioned the guy you're
- 16:05Speaker 4: talking about, smister Diabate, which I love him.
- 16:13Speaker 2: It's a fired name.
- 16:14Speaker 4: Shout out to Samba Shoots who portrays mister Diabat.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Where's he from?
- 16:19Speaker 4: He's from a French speaking country.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Man. I'm not sure.
- 16:24Speaker 2: I could be mispronouncing it.
- 16:25Speaker 4: As well, but from he he takes as Ben he said,
- 16:30Speaker 4: he takes the most out of it. It's not for altruistic,
- 16:33Speaker 4: not that it needs to be. Everyone else is being
- 16:34Speaker 4: altruistic for you. Why do you need to add to
- 16:36Speaker 4: the altruism right? Why don't you just do what you
- 16:38Speaker 4: need right? So this man, when I say you're living
- 16:41Speaker 4: in a world where the wrong sh you live in
- 16:45Speaker 4: a world where basically one hundred percent of the people
- 16:47Speaker 4: will cater to you, and again to really set the
- 16:50Speaker 4: stage for people who don't understand what poor Bos is about.
- 16:53Speaker 4: Anything you want to do, say, experience at any given
- 16:58Speaker 4: time and anytime of day, night, whatever you ask these
- 17:03Speaker 4: people and they will deliver anything, okay, anything, And I
- 17:09Speaker 4: mean that with the strength of the vastness of what
- 17:13Speaker 4: enything means. This man uses that. This man uses free
- 17:17Speaker 4: fucking will, which is why I like him.
- 17:19Speaker 3: I'm not lying to you. All faults the bathtub, that's
- 17:23Speaker 3: all I'll say.
- 17:23Speaker 1: I'm doing it immediately, immediately.
- 17:27Speaker 2: Case point, and I'll share this. I think that.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Okay, finish, there's such a.
- 17:33Speaker 4: I'm gonna say case in point, there's a and I
- 17:35Speaker 4: think this is like in the previous there's a scene
- 17:36Speaker 4: where like remember we said, like less than twenty people
- 17:40Speaker 4: have quotes survived this plague or virus or whatever. So
- 17:43Speaker 4: they're regular individuals. And the White Lady asks to meet
- 17:48Speaker 4: up with all the ones that speak English, right because
- 17:50Speaker 4: you and that's another thing that we I talk about.
- 17:52Speaker 2: But anyway, she.
- 17:53Speaker 4: Asked for those English speakers and they all agree. And
- 17:57Speaker 4: you know, these people all over the world, right, so
- 17:59Speaker 4: they have to get there. They get to one spot
- 18:01Speaker 4: they choose a country and they all get flown in.
- 18:04Speaker 4: These people are provided the choice of how they are
- 18:07Speaker 4: flowing in or how they they travel. Right, some people
- 18:11Speaker 4: just you know, on a regular planes carols on a
- 18:13Speaker 4: regular fucking plane. She decides to sit in the very
- 18:15Speaker 4: last row, Roll thirty three E, next to the bathroom.
- 18:19Speaker 4: For whatever reason, this man, mister Diabonte says, and this
- 18:24Speaker 4: is why I love him.
- 18:25Speaker 2: I want air Force one straight up.
- 18:28Speaker 4: They fly this nigga in to the group meeting on
- 18:32Speaker 4: air Force one.
- 18:34Speaker 2: Why not?
- 18:36Speaker 3: He also has a bunch of Super Bowl rings. There's
- 18:39Speaker 3: all kinds of things doing on with Ms diabat is
- 18:42Speaker 3: women's the women's okay, And that's but now that we
- 18:45Speaker 3: can get to this right as a you know, but
- 18:49Speaker 3: they say red blood and American man, you know, you know,
- 18:53Speaker 3: a definitely you know, as a shout out to happy
- 18:57Speaker 3: birthday to Geniesia. As she wants to describe me a
- 19:00Speaker 3: recovering basic man.
- 19:03Speaker 1: I think it was something to that nature. You know, I'm.
- 19:05Speaker 3: Paraphrasing, but basically she said, I was recovering a recovering
- 19:10Speaker 3: former hotel. I think it was, yeah, yeah, it was
- 19:13Speaker 3: a there was a lot of you know, slander, burning
- 19:15Speaker 3: my way, you know.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Willfully accept.
- 19:19Speaker 3: So there'd be a lot of things I would like
- 19:23Speaker 3: to do if I was in mister Diabante's position, But
- 19:27Speaker 3: the fact that it is a mind link with everyone,
- 19:32Speaker 3: I don't know if I would be able to, how
- 19:34Speaker 3: you say, perform in those situations.
- 19:37Speaker 4: It's but you can't compartmentalize, like I don't know, I
- 19:41Speaker 4: mean and yeah, I mean yes, because I would definitely
- 19:44Speaker 4: ask for some things that would allow me to compartmentalize,
- 19:47Speaker 4: you know, I would definitely, yeah, I figure it out.
- 19:50Speaker 3: But it would also it would definitely get old quickly
- 19:57Speaker 3: for me, I think, because I think, yeah, it would
- 20:00Speaker 3: get very much very quickly where I would be like,
- 20:02Speaker 3: this is just disturby. You know, I've been in a
- 20:07Speaker 3: position of like slight same at points in my time,
- 20:11Speaker 3: and even that was disturby you know for me, like yeah,
- 20:15Speaker 3: we did.
- 20:16Speaker 1: So I can't imagine superstardom.
- 20:18Speaker 3: Which is something you know, and this is a beyond superstardom, yeah,
- 20:23Speaker 3: level of fame.
- 20:23Speaker 1: So yeah, I can see.
- 20:25Speaker 4: It getting old, getting your way all the time, yeah,
- 20:28Speaker 4: every day. Like there's and the fact that because this
- 20:32Speaker 4: is a hive mind and all they do is live
- 20:35Speaker 4: to make you happy. To me, there's no there's no
- 20:39Speaker 4: agency within the hive, right, it's just like what We're
- 20:41Speaker 4: just gonna do what you say, and there's nothing genuine, right, Like,
- 20:46Speaker 4: there's no genuine interaction.
- 20:48Speaker 2: All the interaction is to serve.
- 20:50Speaker 4: And if you want a different interaction, you have to
- 20:52Speaker 4: tell them like they are playing a role. And that's
- 20:55Speaker 4: where I can see it getting old, where you got
- 20:57Speaker 4: to tell them behave a certain way. Right, Yes, maybe
- 21:00Speaker 4: you know, I mean, they will never be mean about it,
- 21:03Speaker 4: I guess, but if you want to pretend you got
- 21:05Speaker 4: an attitude with me, right Like, Yeah, we're as humans,
- 21:08Speaker 4: we're used to shit not being perfect, and that's usually
- 21:11Speaker 4: the downfall of every utopia and every story. It's like
- 21:14Speaker 4: when shit gets too perfect, humans find a way to
- 21:17Speaker 4: fuck it up. Right, And half the time it's not
- 21:20Speaker 4: just because we're just one of destroy stuff.
- 21:23Speaker 2: We're a virus in ourselves, in and of ourselves.
- 21:25Speaker 4: Right halftime, it's just like because we could tell it's
- 21:28Speaker 4: not real, we can tell it's not genuine, we can
- 21:30Speaker 4: tell it's not a human experience.
- 21:32Speaker 2: We can tell something is wrong and off.
- 21:34Speaker 4: And I understand that that is the general lifeblood of
- 21:41Speaker 4: how Carol thinks this is not normal, this isn't right.
- 21:45Speaker 4: We have to put it back. That's all Carol is
- 21:48Speaker 4: on where mister Diaboute is just like, I'm living my
- 21:51Speaker 4: fucking life. Who knows what the fuck you went through
- 21:53Speaker 4: or didn't go through. To the fact that he said,
- 21:55Speaker 4: I'm using this to my advantage a bit A.
- 21:57Speaker 3: Point on that is his character's name from what the
- 22:01Speaker 3: country that I cannot pronounce again and their culture. His
- 22:04Speaker 3: actual character's name is a feminine name, right of course,
- 22:09Speaker 3: Vince Gillen then didn't notice when he was choosing the name,
- 22:12Speaker 3: did not do.
- 22:12Speaker 1: His research correctly or whatever.
- 22:14Speaker 3: But when the actor found us out, he's like, okay,
- 22:17Speaker 3: I can use this as part of my bad story
- 22:19Speaker 3: because in addition to that, in this culture, when you
- 22:21Speaker 3: haven't when you've taken this as like your last name,
- 22:24Speaker 3: it means that your mother and people like that have
- 22:26Speaker 3: died early around you. So he's like, okay, I can
- 22:30Speaker 3: use this in my character's badstory. So that is they
- 22:33Speaker 3: might show this, but this is been confirmed by the
- 22:35Speaker 3: actor Ambi Vince that this is part of the character's
- 22:37Speaker 3: bats story and that is one of the reasons why
- 22:39Speaker 3: he is going his way because he doesn't have family,
- 22:43Speaker 3: so there's no one around him who's been turned just
- 22:46Speaker 3: like we see, you know, the man in Guatemala in
- 22:49Speaker 3: the latest episode when he's confronted by his mother, he
- 22:52Speaker 3: has a certain reaction to them because of his reaction.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Whose mother actually was to him, yes.
- 22:58Speaker 3: And so because of that he a certain reaction, just
- 23:01Speaker 3: like mister Diabte does not have any families, so there's
- 23:04Speaker 3: no one around him who can come to him, like
- 23:06Speaker 3: his mother, his brother, someone to be like, nah, man,
- 23:09Speaker 3: it's all good, I'm your bro. Still you need to
- 23:11Speaker 3: get over on this side too, none of that. So
- 23:14Speaker 3: he's immediately like shit, and he was probably in not
- 23:17Speaker 3: good circumstances in his life, and so he's like, nah, okay,
- 23:20Speaker 3: air Force one, super Bowl reens hose to the tub,
- 23:25Speaker 3: let's go, you know what I mean? Like, you know,
- 23:28Speaker 3: my man said made whatever come on in everybody's alcome.
- 23:32Speaker 3: I like that this, you know, yeah, he down for
- 23:37Speaker 3: it all. You know, everybody has some right.
- 23:39Speaker 4: And I will say he's not like he's not adverse
- 23:43Speaker 4: to the facts, like he actually does what Carol does
- 23:46Speaker 4: not do, which is just ask them the fucking question,
- 23:48Speaker 4: right every day, all day.
- 23:50Speaker 1: These the others.
- 23:53Speaker 2: The others is what she calls them.
- 23:55Speaker 1: Charl calls them.
- 23:56Speaker 2: He asked the others the questions, why y'all do like this?
- 23:59Speaker 4: Do y'all I'll eat? Why does this happen? Why does
- 24:02Speaker 4: this not happen? Like he, he is curious and gets information,
- 24:06Speaker 4: so he is very aware of how they operate, why
- 24:09Speaker 4: they operate, and what they need and don't need.
- 24:12Speaker 2: And what's funny to me is.
- 24:14Speaker 4: And this is one of their And when we go
- 24:15Speaker 4: into like, you know a lot of reasons why certain
- 24:17Speaker 4: people or certain groups of people don't really like Carol.
- 24:20Speaker 4: Carol has this way about her that she knows everything
- 24:23Speaker 4: and and honestly, she came off as a Karen for
- 24:25Speaker 4: me in the.
- 24:25Speaker 2: Beginning, still kind of does still does.
- 24:28Speaker 4: She knows everything. Her way is right, people should follow
- 24:32Speaker 4: her lead. Everyone else is not.
- 24:35Speaker 2: It's crazy.
- 24:36Speaker 4: When I say everyone is, I mean the less than
- 24:37Speaker 4: twenty survivors, if you will. And she she is adamant
- 24:42Speaker 4: that people gotta do shit her way, which I thought
- 24:45Speaker 4: was funny because I'm just like, so you want everyone
- 24:47Speaker 4: to be a hive mind behind you? Got it? You're
- 24:50Speaker 4: doing the same things, Carol. But whereas missus sorry, I
- 24:55Speaker 4: almost said, I want to say ted Dibiassi, but Diabat.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Mister Banbae like he.
- 25:01Speaker 4: Knows and understands what's going on, but he still has
- 25:05Speaker 4: free will to make his own choices.
- 25:07Speaker 2: He's like, that's great, Carol. I likes it the way
- 25:10Speaker 2: it is. I like being king of Vegas.
- 25:13Speaker 3: There's also no war, there's no racism, there's notice, there's
- 25:16Speaker 3: no that, there's no murder, there's no theft, there's no waste.
- 25:24Speaker 3: You know, there's a whole lot of things going on
- 25:26Speaker 3: that we're not being done when humanity was not joining
- 25:29Speaker 3: a hot mind. Now the real question is and I
- 25:33Speaker 3: wonder if mister be about to ask these type of
- 25:35Speaker 3: questions because there's still some other like what is the
- 25:40Speaker 3: ingle or who's the joined?
- 25:45Speaker 1: Ingle?
- 25:45Speaker 2: The joining?
- 25:46Speaker 4: Oh?
- 25:46Speaker 1: Join the joined?
- 25:47Speaker 4: Oh?
- 25:47Speaker 2: Yeah, that's actually is that their official name? The joint?
- 25:50Speaker 1: That's what the people have been using on the internet,
- 25:52Speaker 1: so we'll call it that. Then. Yeah, so what what
- 25:55Speaker 1: through the joined? What is their end game?
- 25:57Speaker 3: Because beyond as you say see in the latest episode,
- 26:01Speaker 3: just survival, there is definitely an India because as we
- 26:04Speaker 3: know this this is from the very first episode. This
- 26:07Speaker 3: virus was sent to Earth by what some scientists say
- 26:13Speaker 3: was a satellite the size of Africa. Mm hm, so
- 26:18Speaker 3: that is a you know technology, that technology.
- 26:22Speaker 4: Wait, so you think, like these coot aliens, this alien
- 26:25Speaker 4: virus isn't the end all be all.
- 26:27Speaker 2: It's something that sent them to like prep the planet, or.
- 26:32Speaker 3: It's something that sent this into humanity to do something.
- 26:36Speaker 1: With humanity prep the planet.
- 26:39Speaker 3: Yeah, whether that's you know, building yet another satellite to
- 26:42Speaker 3: send it to another.
- 26:43Speaker 2: Planet for Peter, Okay, you know, yeah, we see.
- 26:49Speaker 1: A lot of people moving Africa real quick.
- 26:51Speaker 4: I mean, this could this could be the entity like
- 26:55Speaker 4: the people the joined yourself and they traveled across thers
- 27:00Speaker 4: and now they're trying to do what they do or
- 27:02Speaker 4: to the other point.
- 27:03Speaker 2: It could be the prep for something else.
- 27:07Speaker 3: But it could be like what you said in shout
- 27:09Speaker 3: out to Karen Gillen and prove over at the Power Fantasy,
- 27:13Speaker 3: there's actually an issue that deals with a thing called
- 27:17Speaker 3: the signal arriving on Earth. And the signal is the
- 27:21Speaker 3: collective consciousness of an alien race that is trying to
- 27:24Speaker 3: estate because their planet or whatever they came from was destroyed.
- 27:28Speaker 4: Yeah, there's a reason why this happened, obviously, besides just
- 27:33Speaker 4: well that's our.
- 27:34Speaker 2: What do they also always say they said, that's our biological.
- 27:36Speaker 4: Directive to join?
- 27:37Speaker 2: But why like you were programmed that way?
- 27:41Speaker 1: Right?
- 27:42Speaker 4: If this is a weapon, right, if the joint is
- 27:45Speaker 4: actually a version of a weapon that was transmitted.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Who sent the weapon? Right, that's one way to think
- 27:51Speaker 2: about it.
- 27:52Speaker 4: Or if you are in fact the entity itself. To
- 27:54Speaker 4: the original point, what is the endgame? Like, what is
- 27:57Speaker 4: your goal? Like, Okay, now we've spread love and peace
- 27:59Speaker 4: on earth. That's it, and it's not sustainable if we've
- 28:02Speaker 4: been learning it's it's not the other part.
- 28:06Speaker 2: That's the one major point that I did not mention.
- 28:08Speaker 4: Not only are they like they share lead, love and
- 28:11Speaker 4: peace and all that other stuff. They can't kill. Yes,
- 28:15Speaker 4: a few things they can't do. They can't lie, they
- 28:18Speaker 4: cannot kill. And when I say they can't kill, meaning
- 28:20Speaker 4: not like like obviously living things, animals, plants, insects, whatever.
- 28:27Speaker 4: So because they do not believe in killing, they can't
- 28:30Speaker 4: even do things like harvest plants. They can't pick an
- 28:34Speaker 4: apple off a tree. They can't harvest wheats to make
- 28:36Speaker 4: breads and all that other stuff.
- 28:37Speaker 2: They can't kill animals to.
- 28:39Speaker 4: Get the meats.
- 28:40Speaker 2: If something's already dead, they can utilize it.
- 28:43Speaker 4: If something that apple naturally falls off a tree, they
- 28:46Speaker 4: can pick it up what they call it windfall. And
- 28:50Speaker 4: then obviously any of the foodstocks that are just already
- 28:53Speaker 4: in existence they can utilize. But other than that, they
- 28:58Speaker 4: didn't got it. So if there's no way for you
- 29:01Speaker 4: to produce any sort of food, you're you're gonna.
- 29:04Speaker 1: Start for my brother When there's this many people on earth.
- 29:07Speaker 4: Yeah, but I said seven billion left, yep, So they
- 29:10Speaker 4: said seven billion, like two hundred and ninety two million
- 29:12Speaker 4: some some odd number like that, like seven point two
- 29:14Speaker 4: billion left alive in the world that are joined, and
- 29:19Speaker 4: less than twenty are still individuals that are not.
- 29:22Speaker 2: Joined with them because for whatever reason it.
- 29:24Speaker 4: Didn't work on them, which they still haven't covered about
- 29:27Speaker 4: why it didn't work on them, No.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Okay, but they have covered that unless they want to
- 29:33Speaker 1: be at this point, they will not join the joint right.
- 29:35Speaker 2: They won't force the joining.
- 29:37Speaker 3: Yes, they know how to do it, but unless they
- 29:39Speaker 3: ask for it, they will not be joined.
- 29:42Speaker 4: Right, which again it just it just begs the question
- 29:45Speaker 4: of just about your personal philosophy about situations like this,
- 29:48Speaker 4: how would you react your choices that you made.
- 29:53Speaker 2: It's it's so funny.
- 29:54Speaker 4: Like I said, Vince is such a Vincent and his
- 29:56Speaker 4: team they're so good because the choices they have.
- 29:58Speaker 2: Carol make like I told told.
- 30:00Speaker 4: You, you have your choice of any type of transportation, food,
- 30:04Speaker 4: person whatever.
- 30:06Speaker 2: Carol chooses to drive around in a cop car.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Let stay trooper car very much.
- 30:14Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like an applied sense that I am the authority.
- 30:18Speaker 4: And it could just be she just thought it was cool.
- 30:20Speaker 4: It could just be I always wanted to drive into it.
- 30:23Speaker 1: But we know it's the first one, the first one.
- 30:26Speaker 1: It's authority.
- 30:27Speaker 3: It's all about Carol showing power, showing that I'm in control,
- 30:31Speaker 3: that I still have it to believe she's in control.
- 30:34Speaker 4: Yes, wanting, because that's one of the things she's grasping
- 30:37Speaker 4: for desperately. In every episode, she's trying to control the situation.
- 30:40Speaker 4: She's trying to gain control of the situation. Nobody's really
- 30:43Speaker 4: fucking with her like that. There's only one guy that's
- 30:46Speaker 4: similar to her, and that's that guy in Paraguay.
- 30:49Speaker 1: And he's even more extreame, I think, than Carol.
- 30:53Speaker 3: And that's something when they come into actual communication and meeting,
- 30:57Speaker 3: we're going to learn that Carol is one level of this.
- 30:59Speaker 1: And then there's other level.
- 31:01Speaker 3: And that other level I think is going to cause
- 31:04Speaker 3: conflict with her as well, because I think he's about
- 31:07Speaker 3: murdering everything.
- 31:08Speaker 4: I think, So I think he's he's pure genocide at
- 31:12Speaker 4: this point, Like which is which is wild in this situation?
- 31:16Speaker 1: Yeah, because like I.
- 31:17Speaker 3: Know, you want, what does he know that they don't
- 31:20Speaker 3: that you know, Carol and the rest don't know.
- 31:24Speaker 2: Himself. He did find a signal, remember sometimes and.
- 31:27Speaker 3: Also what questions is he asked them, you know before
- 31:30Speaker 3: when it all started, because he's definitely had a conversation
- 31:32Speaker 3: with them and they're like it didn't go well. So
- 31:34Speaker 3: he had his questions, you know, he might have figured
- 31:37Speaker 3: out answers, Like I said, yeah that even mister diabaute
- 31:40Speaker 3: and Carol definitely haven't figured out yet. So that might
- 31:42Speaker 3: have made him like, Okay, time to hold up. Fuck
- 31:45Speaker 3: these dudes, you know, I got to kill them all.
- 31:48Speaker 4: And that's the That's one of the main thing that
- 31:49Speaker 4: bothers me the most. Black just like her attitude about
- 31:51Speaker 4: things in a way like she don't even do it smartly,
- 31:54Speaker 4: she just she just brutal route forces everything into others.
- 31:59Speaker 3: And I think that this is like one thing where
- 32:01Speaker 3: and I always, you know, we run into this idea
- 32:03Speaker 3: a lot, whereas people are always like, oh, it's a
- 32:05Speaker 3: white woman.
- 32:05Speaker 1: You know. One thing Caro is is American, and you know, she's.
- 32:09Speaker 4: An American white And I'm not saying all white women
- 32:11Speaker 4: will have the same reaction, but I'm not saying all.
- 32:14Speaker 3: You know, but I also say that a lot of
- 32:16Speaker 3: American anyone will have this type of reaction, and then
- 32:19Speaker 3: especially American anyone who are going through the type of
- 32:21Speaker 3: shit she goes through. I remember, everyone changes with her,
- 32:24Speaker 3: and then her wife dies in front of her, which
- 32:27Speaker 3: is wild, which is wild. So so not only is
- 32:30Speaker 3: like she pissed at these themes for killing her wife,
- 32:33Speaker 3: she's also pissed at these things for not making her
- 32:36Speaker 3: wife change and live.
- 32:39Speaker 4: You know, she's like valid reason to be mad, and
- 32:42Speaker 4: that's what is really mad, That's what she That's the
- 32:44Speaker 4: facts about what she's really mad about.
- 32:46Speaker 2: But then everything else is like a consequence of yes.
- 32:49Speaker 3: And that's the thing, but people are Empathy is also
- 32:52Speaker 3: a very low trade amongst Americans, you know, and when
- 32:56Speaker 3: we're watching this, we have a low empathy for her
- 32:58Speaker 3: because she's a white woman.
- 33:00Speaker 1: We're like immediately caring does don't get me wrong, She
- 33:03Speaker 1: made caring his choices. Do not get me wrong.
- 33:07Speaker 4: My empathy is because she's a white woman. I have
- 33:09Speaker 4: empathy for some white women.
- 33:11Speaker 2: Just because because you're a human.
- 33:13Speaker 4: Yes, my empathy level is low for her because of
- 33:16Speaker 4: her the way she speaks and interact and deals with people.
- 33:20Speaker 4: Whoever's left in the world and her, Oh, it's almost
- 33:26Speaker 4: like her. She has no awareness, like your privilege, like
- 33:30Speaker 4: she she even is this world, you're still holding on
- 33:33Speaker 4: to some form of privilege.
- 33:34Speaker 1: You said.
- 33:34Speaker 4: Maybe it's the American thing about everyone should be listening
- 33:37Speaker 4: to you.
- 33:37Speaker 2: That is the wildest thing to me.
- 33:39Speaker 4: You know, there are seven billion people left on the
- 33:41Speaker 4: earth in less than twenty are like you.
- 33:45Speaker 2: People gotta listen to you. She was like she was.
- 33:48Speaker 4: She was when she went to dinner with the with
- 33:50Speaker 4: the twelve I could speed English. She was just like,
- 33:53Speaker 4: why y'all not listening to me? And why y'all like
- 33:55Speaker 4: she was. That's what made me have less empathy for her.
- 33:58Speaker 4: I have full empathy that her wife fuck, as you said,
- 34:02Speaker 4: got the true death in front of her.
- 34:04Speaker 2: That is insane.
- 34:06Speaker 4: Yeah, the way you handle yourself after the way you
- 34:10Speaker 4: talk and treat people after like, that's where I'm just like, okay, lady,
- 34:15Speaker 4: get a grip. You gotta get a grip. Also, people
- 34:18Speaker 4: should have as mentioned, you're behaving like a high mind
- 34:20Speaker 4: thinking people have to follow behind you.
- 34:22Speaker 2: These people move differently.
- 34:24Speaker 4: There's one family that has a child that's adjoined, right,
- 34:29Speaker 4: the mother is not joined, but the child is.
- 34:31Speaker 2: And at the end of the day, she's just like,
- 34:34Speaker 2: it hurts you. That's not my child.
- 34:35Speaker 4: I want him to live. I want him to I
- 34:37Speaker 4: don't want him to suffer. It is what it is.
- 34:39Speaker 4: And the other reason why and this is this is
- 34:42Speaker 4: my design. Like you mentioned about Vincent, the writers, they've
- 34:46Speaker 4: said this already that they've purposely written Carol this way.
- 34:50Speaker 2: So it's hard to like her.
- 34:52Speaker 4: And there's some people who just like in regards, which
- 34:54Speaker 4: is fine, but she's purposely written as hard, like there
- 34:57Speaker 4: are times where she is affecting the planet because she
- 35:01Speaker 4: can't keep her shit together, because she's crashing out on
- 35:04Speaker 4: these things.
- 35:04Speaker 1: Yep.
- 35:05Speaker 4: The last major thing about the joined they're fragile as fucked.
- 35:09Speaker 4: And when I say that, I don't mean physically, I
- 35:11Speaker 4: mean if you yell at these niggas a little bit
- 35:13Speaker 4: too hard.
- 35:15Speaker 2: They they die, They die with some of them, but
- 35:19Speaker 2: they they flip out, and it's.
- 35:23Speaker 4: Something within and again that has maybe something to do
- 35:25Speaker 4: with a signal. It's something that fucks them up with
- 35:29Speaker 4: their what's the word, like, uh, synapses or whatever, And.
- 35:34Speaker 2: And a lot of them die.
- 35:36Speaker 4: There was a point where she killed millions because she
- 35:40Speaker 4: yelled at somebody too hard one day.
- 35:43Speaker 2: And so the writers are putting her situation where it's
- 35:47Speaker 2: just like, how am I supposed to like this lady?
- 35:49Speaker 4: These people are are nothing to say that listen to
- 35:52Speaker 4: be joined us the right way to go out, my saint,
- 35:54Speaker 4: I'm saying, these people have shown her nothing but concern
- 35:57Speaker 4: and empathy and this this and that and she and
- 36:00Speaker 4: and again. You could say, oh, well, baby, she didn't know.
- 36:02Speaker 4: She didn't know the first time, but she did it
- 36:03Speaker 4: like three times. Yeah, at that point, you know, and
- 36:07Speaker 4: you now, where's your empathy? Because at the end of
- 36:10Speaker 4: the day, you say you want to save humanity, you're
- 36:12Speaker 4: not trying to kill more, but you can't keep your
- 36:15Speaker 4: shit together like just to have a conversation because you're
- 36:18Speaker 4: upset and you want to vocalize your emotion and it's
- 36:21Speaker 4: nothing wrong with having emotion, but it's also when your
- 36:23Speaker 4: reaction is linked to the survival of the human race,
- 36:28Speaker 4: you may want to take a step back. And that's
- 36:30Speaker 4: where my disdain for her comes in, not disdain, And
- 36:36Speaker 4: I will say this, it's an entertaining disdain.
- 36:38Speaker 2: It's not like, oh, I can't stand this.
- 36:40Speaker 4: Every time she don on screen, I laugh because she
- 36:42Speaker 4: just be saying the wildest ship and doing the wildest things,
- 36:45Speaker 4: because it's just like this lady don't fucking get it.
- 36:48Speaker 2: This lady don't fucking get it.
- 36:50Speaker 1: Oh, I got to.
- 36:51Speaker 4: Show you what I found out about these people. And
- 36:53Speaker 4: mister Diabody's like, oh, yeah, I know because John Seen
- 36:57Speaker 4: are right, or I know because and that's what I'm saying.
- 37:00Speaker 4: It's like simple things that she could find out. They
- 37:02Speaker 4: can't lie ask because she's so afraid that they're gonna
- 37:06Speaker 4: be secretive and high stuff from another They can't fucking
- 37:09Speaker 4: lie you just you personally establish that.
- 37:13Speaker 1: Then I gotta not d about is having the same
- 37:17Speaker 1: lambeau and different colors all in the world.
- 37:23Speaker 4: Yeah he wants, that's what he wants, but he could
- 37:26Speaker 4: have diversified, so so yeah, that was me. I might
- 37:29Speaker 4: be like mister Deabot a little. But I'm not gonna
- 37:30Speaker 4: have the harem of people around me. But I might
- 37:34Speaker 4: have to be running around, you know, in full costume
- 37:37Speaker 4: every day with different designs and this than that, Like,
- 37:40Speaker 4: especially if I'm the.
- 37:40Speaker 1: Only one at least for a week, I'm doing the harem.
- 37:44Speaker 2: Like, I don't know how long it's gonna last. To
- 37:47Speaker 2: your point, might get old, but it's what it is.
- 37:50Speaker 4: And yeah, so that's kind of where we are with
- 37:52Speaker 4: the series, right, Like we've learned a lot about I was.
- 37:55Speaker 3: Like my first scenes would be like, okay, yeah, my
- 37:57Speaker 3: last thing on it is Yeah, my first thing is
- 38:00Speaker 3: be who killed Tupac?
- 38:01Speaker 1: Who killed Biggie? Somebody knows kill.
- 38:04Speaker 2: JFK, you're not using your power.
- 38:07Speaker 1: Right immediate thing? You know everything, everyone knows who killed Tubac?
- 38:13Speaker 4: You know everything everywhere of every time and place that
- 38:16Speaker 4: needed to be known.
- 38:18Speaker 2: Answer some questions for me.
- 38:19Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, y'all aliens, But are there other aliens
- 38:23Speaker 1: on Earth? Show? Show me? Show me everything ill that
- 38:29Speaker 1: every government knows that they never shown me before?
- 38:33Speaker 4: You You all, I'm saying, is you even a few
- 38:37Speaker 4: days of it? Use your time with these?
- 38:39Speaker 1: Oh my god, what care I get because you know she's.
- 38:42Speaker 2: In a bad you know, she's in a bad place
- 38:44Speaker 2: and will be in a bad place for a while.
- 38:46Speaker 3: Yeah, mister Diaboute has probably already seen the aliens. He
- 38:49Speaker 3: probably knows who killed Tupac, you know what I mean?
- 38:53Speaker 1: Two right, they won one and.
- 38:56Speaker 3: Is somebody famous in his country. That's a mystery. He
- 38:58Speaker 3: knows who killed them too, you know. But he's young
- 39:01Speaker 3: enough where he definitely wanted to know.
- 39:02Speaker 1: Who guilt Tubac.
- 39:05Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, just I don't know. Use just be smarter.
- 39:10Speaker 3: I mean, we actually know we kill Tupop, but I
- 39:12Speaker 3: just want to know all the story, you know, Like
- 39:14Speaker 3: I want to know every little detail.
- 39:16Speaker 1: That I don't know right now.
- 39:18Speaker 2: So we love the show. We think it's well written,
- 39:21Speaker 2: well paced.
- 39:22Speaker 4: It is well each episode is like forty five to
- 39:24Speaker 4: fifty minutes, so it can get long at times, just
- 39:27Speaker 4: because there's also lots of quiet moments. There's some moments
- 39:29Speaker 4: where it's just something mundane happening, like Carol making a
- 39:33Speaker 4: phone call, and like they sit through the rings yes
- 39:36Speaker 4: and the responses and back and forth. But it leads
- 39:39Speaker 4: to the greater experience because also you have to remember,
- 39:41Speaker 4: this is a world where essentially there's nothing else going on.
- 39:44Speaker 4: So like when they go to a town, there ain't
- 39:46Speaker 4: nobody else walking around. There's no other cars in the street.
- 39:51Speaker 4: I didn't notice any birds in the sky and.
- 39:53Speaker 2: Things like that.
- 39:53Speaker 3: Where the animals that there, well, we do see There's
- 39:57Speaker 3: been different questions about that, but we do see coyotes
- 40:02Speaker 3: come at Carol when you know, in one episode, so animals,
- 40:06Speaker 3: some animals are still out there now.
- 40:08Speaker 4: They like round them up or no, they released them
- 40:10Speaker 4: from the zoos. Didn't they release them?
- 40:11Speaker 3: They said they released them from the zoo slavery and
- 40:14Speaker 3: people were talking about they see animals, so the animals
- 40:16Speaker 3: was still out there. Birds are just one of those things. Man,
- 40:19Speaker 3: It's like you don't see birds and most shows, but
- 40:20Speaker 3: people are just wondering about it in this show because
- 40:23Speaker 3: I don't won it.
- 40:24Speaker 1: Yeah, because you don't see anything.
- 40:26Speaker 3: So you're like, okay, while they're birds and stuff, but
- 40:28Speaker 3: you got you know, it's just difficult, you know, you know,
- 40:30Speaker 3: like birds are hard to animate.
- 40:32Speaker 2: Tracking that.
- 40:32Speaker 4: Okay, it's like a lot of you know, I'm saying
- 40:35Speaker 4: as someone who's observant, I'm like, I get it.
- 40:38Speaker 1: But that's what you know, budgets you know.
- 40:42Speaker 3: That's a visit over here saying like, think about it.
- 40:45Speaker 1: You got to the anime birds or you're gonna have
- 40:47Speaker 1: to have birds. Either one is going to cost you money.
- 40:50Speaker 3: And animating birds was crazy for the most part, and
- 40:53Speaker 3: so you know, having birds is really problematic and difficult.
- 40:56Speaker 3: And look, man, you know Vince is you know he
- 41:01Speaker 3: might want Lamborghinis in every.
- 41:05Speaker 2: Don't cast that.
- 41:06Speaker 4: Much to They're not even driving them holes. Just put
- 41:08Speaker 4: him in front of the building.
- 41:09Speaker 1: I'm saying, you know, but that could come out of
- 41:11Speaker 1: his money. I'm judging.
- 41:13Speaker 3: But yeah, I know birds, et cetera. For animals, I
- 41:17Speaker 3: think it's one of those things where it is a budget.
- 41:19Speaker 3: That's why we haven't seen it, or they have not
- 41:20Speaker 3: been in the places. You remember, she's in the middle
- 41:23Speaker 3: of Albuquerque wherever. I don't know what type of bird
- 41:25Speaker 3: life there is on a daily over by her. And
- 41:28Speaker 3: then animal life is going to be acting completely different
- 41:31Speaker 3: now without the president of humans. That is one thing
- 41:34Speaker 3: I've been like the pandemic whenever she goes out, and
- 41:38Speaker 3: it's a completely different from pandemic.
- 41:40Speaker 1: You know, this is extreme.
- 41:42Speaker 3: So when she goes out, whenever she's out at night
- 41:44Speaker 3: without or even dude in the albu Or water my life.
- 41:47Speaker 3: I think he's down in there, Paraguay, Paragrade. When he's
- 41:50Speaker 3: walking around, I was like, fam, what are you doing?
- 41:53Speaker 3: Like these streets might be middled with coyotes, you know,
- 41:57Speaker 3: other stavengers, all kind of thing that now, you know,
- 42:01Speaker 3: especially at night fan you are plugging.
- 42:04Speaker 1: I was so for him, yeah, yeah, so, but I
- 42:07Speaker 1: just think in front of those things budget, Like I say, animal.
- 42:09Speaker 4: That's fair, that's fair. And there's a couple of major
- 42:12Speaker 4: points I purposely didn't say because they came out on
- 42:14Speaker 4: the like one of the later episodes. So I want
- 42:16Speaker 4: people to discover for themselves. But if you like what
- 42:20Speaker 4: you heard and that shit sound fire, definitely watch it.
- 42:23Speaker 4: It's on Apple TV. I do encourage password sharing, so
- 42:27Speaker 4: do what you gotta do to watch it.
- 42:29Speaker 3: Yeah, because speaking of that m beginning, speaking of fastword sharing, yeah,
- 42:35Speaker 3: and of networks and streaming services getting out of hand man,
- 42:42Speaker 3: you know, all right, there's been a lot of like,
- 42:44Speaker 3: oh my god, this drives falling type of thing going
- 42:46Speaker 3: on over this.
- 42:47Speaker 1: Basically Netflix is putting in a bid. It seems to be.
- 42:51Speaker 3: Going through, because everything goes through these days, because the
- 42:54Speaker 3: world full of grime and horrible things and we can't
- 42:58Speaker 3: have nice scenes. Are putting in a bid and we'll
- 43:01Speaker 3: soon own WB, Warner Brothers and everything Warner Brothers owns,
- 43:06Speaker 3: which throws all the way down to things like DC
- 43:09Speaker 3: comic books.
- 43:10Speaker 4: Let me get some caveats to you. Yeah, on that deal,
- 43:14Speaker 4: and so it's a little some slight nuances there. Okay,
- 43:18Speaker 4: the deal has not closed. Yeah, Netflix is positioning it
- 43:22Speaker 4: language wise to make it feel like it's a done deal.
- 43:24Speaker 2: It still has to be a proof, which could still
- 43:27Speaker 2: take a year.
- 43:28Speaker 1: Okay, this is.
- 43:30Speaker 2: An agreement with their board.
- 43:33Speaker 4: That Netflix board and the w B board shook hands
- 43:37Speaker 4: and say, yes, we agree to this. What eighty two
- 43:39Speaker 4: billion buyout, takeover, acquisition, whatever you call it, eighty two
- 43:43Speaker 4: billion with a B. What this entails is everything in
- 43:47Speaker 4: the Warner Brothers catalog except for the TV division. So
- 43:52Speaker 4: like WB also owned CNN, so that stuff is carved
- 43:56Speaker 4: out and everything else would be going to the deal.
- 44:00Speaker 4: That's the only distinction I want to make about that.
- 44:02Speaker 4: And there's more to it, but continues sir.
- 44:05Speaker 3: The crazy thing about it is like Netflix still doesn't
- 44:07Speaker 3: make a profit. This is all illusion money.
- 44:12Speaker 4: But you know, if the deal don't go through, they
- 44:13Speaker 4: still get billions. It's like two point three billion or
- 44:16Speaker 4: five billions something like that. It doesn't matter which, like,
- 44:19Speaker 4: you know, they get a little something, they get a
- 44:20Speaker 4: little consolation prize.
- 44:22Speaker 1: Who WB gets it?
- 44:23Speaker 4: If the deal doesn't get through Netflix, it's either yes
- 44:26Speaker 4: WBWB gets something to data that I'm.
- 44:28Speaker 3: Saying, Neflix still doesn't make a profit. Netflix still has
- 44:30Speaker 3: been like draining money year after year. Yeah, it's it's
- 44:36Speaker 3: all illusion for yeah, basically. But back to the reality
- 44:40Speaker 3: or what could be the reality of the situation, and
- 44:42Speaker 3: what people are worried about is the fact that Netflix
- 44:44Speaker 3: is not someone who one cares about quality. There's super
- 44:49Speaker 3: quantity of quality. If any major studio of twenty twenty
- 44:54Speaker 3: five is driven by algorithms, it is Netflix. Like there
- 44:58Speaker 3: might be some human in some of these other places,
- 45:01Speaker 3: and Netflix there seems to be nothing. Because the amount
- 45:05Speaker 3: of slop and garbage that they pump out just to
- 45:09Speaker 3: keep you watching is not good. And because of that,
- 45:15Speaker 3: people are worried that theaters will be pushed out because
- 45:18Speaker 3: Netflix would rather have you at home watching all the
- 45:21Speaker 3: rest of their slop, so they don't want to, you know,
- 45:24Speaker 3: keep a movie in theater for any longer than they
- 45:26Speaker 3: need to long enough for it to in most cases,
- 45:30Speaker 3: for it to qualify for awards. And if they don't
- 45:32Speaker 3: think it's something that would qualify forwards, why even put
- 45:35Speaker 3: it in theaters?
- 45:37Speaker 1: So that could get weird very quickly, and we'll.
- 45:41Speaker 2: Get weird if it goes through.
- 45:42Speaker 4: I was one of the people who were saying the
- 45:43Speaker 4: sky was falling, because not to say it hasn't been falling,
- 45:47Speaker 4: but yeah, and I understand your take, but the fact
- 45:50Speaker 4: is this is also the sky is falling. This is
- 45:53Speaker 4: just another sign, another major red flag about the sky's falling.
- 45:57Speaker 4: When I say the skuy's falling, I mean from entertainment
- 46:00Speaker 4: and art perspective. Like when I heard this, I said,
- 46:02Speaker 4: this is the most terrible thing I've heard recently. Yes,
- 46:06Speaker 4: there's many other terrible things, but I'm not doing oppression Olympics.
- 46:09Speaker 4: I'm saying this is a terrible thing I've ever heard as.
- 46:12Speaker 1: Of right now. I was more just like, huh you.
- 46:15Speaker 3: It's because yeah, I expect this shit, and because it's
- 46:18Speaker 3: already been going this way, and because the major companies
- 46:22Speaker 3: are eventually going to be reduced to one company, one
- 46:26Speaker 3: or two at most, which is terrifying.
- 46:29Speaker 4: And I say that that's not the tracking, but it's
- 46:32Speaker 4: still terrifying. It doesn't negate the emotion.
- 46:35Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, see, it's not very terrifying to me because
- 46:38Speaker 3: for me, it's being like, okay, like like, let's take
- 46:41Speaker 3: it to music, right, I see, you know, we're at
- 46:44Speaker 3: the end of the year.
- 46:44Speaker 1: Everyone you know, willingly and most people at this.
- 46:47Speaker 3: Point know how terrible Spotify is, and yet people do
- 46:50Speaker 3: their advertisement for them, you know, end of the year.
- 46:53Speaker 1: Look at all the Spotify lists do look at how I.
- 46:55Speaker 3: Didn't pay these artists that I love, you know, And
- 46:57Speaker 3: so I look at that as someone who is now
- 47:00Speaker 3: releasing music.
- 47:01Speaker 1: And I even put this question on threads.
- 47:02Speaker 3: I got no answers for it yet, but I'll do
- 47:05Speaker 3: it again to see how it goes, because I was
- 47:07Speaker 3: asking DJ's producers because I'm looking to not even get
- 47:11Speaker 3: paid off my music, but I want to know what
- 47:13Speaker 3: platforms will help me to get my music to the
- 47:15Speaker 3: places where it'll allow me to do shows and things
- 47:18Speaker 3: of that nature off of my music.
- 47:20Speaker 1: Right, So I'm like, do I have to put it
- 47:22Speaker 1: on Spotify? Because I know, you know, Spotify is the worst.
- 47:25Speaker 1: I don't give a shit though I.
- 47:26Speaker 3: Will take it takes so many millions of streams to
- 47:29Speaker 3: make little change that I know it's nothing. Right now,
- 47:32Speaker 3: I have my music on band Camp and it makes
- 47:34Speaker 3: me a little bit of money and I'm like, that's cool,
- 47:36Speaker 3: but I know it's not getting the people right.
- 47:39Speaker 1: But that's the thing that is what this is.
- 47:42Speaker 3: Like I saw Joe Budden saying it, the music industry
- 47:45Speaker 3: has another year left. The movie industry does not have
- 47:48Speaker 3: much more time than that. The things that be used
- 47:51Speaker 3: to the way it was is gone, and that's what
- 47:54Speaker 3: it is. So it's not scary to me. It's more like, Okay,
- 47:56Speaker 3: how do you adapt in these situations?
- 47:58Speaker 1: For me?
- 47:59Speaker 3: And as I've seen them, people talk about the music
- 48:01Speaker 3: industry and the idea of selling the millions of records
- 48:04Speaker 3: is a waste of time, you know what I mean,
- 48:05Speaker 3: that's done. But what you can do is cultivate your community,
- 48:10Speaker 3: get a few thousand people who will buy your music
- 48:13Speaker 3: when you put it out, when you put an album
- 48:14Speaker 3: out for ten bucks each like it used to be,
- 48:17Speaker 3: and then boom, you have a career off of that.
- 48:20Speaker 3: You know, that is the way filmmaking is going to
- 48:23Speaker 3: go the same way because the tools to make films
- 48:25Speaker 3: are now in everyone's hands, just like the tools to
- 48:28Speaker 3: make music, it's in anyone's hands. So it's about, Okay,
- 48:32Speaker 3: how can I make the art that I want to make?
- 48:35Speaker 3: How can I get it to people? And how can
- 48:38Speaker 3: I build up a community. It's gonna be the same way.
- 48:40Speaker 3: And eventually, when you do that, the majors are gonna
- 48:43Speaker 3: come looking for you, just like they come and muse it.
- 48:45Speaker 3: But then you'll have a foot to stand on, et cetera.
- 48:47Speaker 3: And that's the wave.
- 48:49Speaker 1: Like it's just a changeing of the hands for me,
- 48:52Speaker 1: you know, and a changing of the way things are done.
- 48:55Speaker 3: Yes, it's getting worse, but like you said earlier, there's
- 48:58Speaker 3: a lot of other things that I got to worry
- 48:59Speaker 3: about that are getting worse in the world than you know,
- 49:02Speaker 3: Like it's always going to be about how can you
- 49:04Speaker 3: make your art and get it out to people who.
- 49:07Speaker 1: Care about it.
- 49:09Speaker 4: You make a very compelling point and very valid points
- 49:12Speaker 4: as well. I will also say it's still very terrifying
- 49:15Speaker 4: to live and see it's not so much oh it's
- 49:18Speaker 4: eighty seven billions to live and see the theft, to
- 49:22Speaker 4: live and see the change, and it's not just like, oh, well,
- 49:25Speaker 4: life is changing because of the and some of it
- 49:28Speaker 4: is because of the advancements of technology. It's also more
- 49:34Speaker 4: than that, right, right, and consolidation of power, and consolidation
- 49:40Speaker 4: power by people who do.
- 49:42Speaker 2: Not care about you. Fuck the art. They don't care
- 49:45Speaker 2: about people.
- 49:47Speaker 4: They don't and that's where the emotion of terror or
- 49:52Speaker 4: sadness or whatever that me and some other people are
- 49:55Speaker 4: feeling comes in, because it's just that.
- 49:59Speaker 2: And another. Just to continue on this whole Netflix still thing.
- 50:02Speaker 4: Netflix announced this last week and then just this morning,
- 50:07Speaker 4: Paramount announces a hostile bid takeover, which is yes, Netflix
- 50:15Speaker 4: and WB's board shook hand and said, yes, this is
- 50:17Speaker 4: what we're gonna do. Paramount said fuck that, because they
- 50:21Speaker 4: were there was a whole bunch of companies bidding. When
- 50:23Speaker 4: they didn't win, Paramount said, fuck that. We're going straight
- 50:26Speaker 4: to the shareholders. They turn around and offered a higher
- 50:30Speaker 4: how you Value deal and says, hey, this is better
- 50:33Speaker 4: for the shareholders, and we want to purchase WB in full,
- 50:38Speaker 4: which keeps it all together and includes the as mentioned,
- 50:40Speaker 4: the TV part, the CNN part. We're going to keep
- 50:44Speaker 4: it together. That's good for business. We're going to give
- 50:45Speaker 4: the shareholders more money do you know who is the
- 50:50Speaker 4: paramount slash guy dance CEO. His name is David Ellison.
- 50:55Speaker 4: Do you know who he's aligned with, Peter Dial, the
- 51:00Speaker 4: current cheeto.
- 51:00Speaker 3: In office and that family David Elson definitely, I think
- 51:05Speaker 3: is mentioned with.
- 51:07Speaker 4: Sure, they're all in leagues with the same people, and
- 51:10Speaker 4: this is where And not to say that nothing is
- 51:12Speaker 4: any better. That's big tech, right, that's another evil about
- 51:15Speaker 4: technology swallow you know, the Amazons and everybody else swallowing
- 51:19Speaker 4: up everything, and not to say and it's so wild,
- 51:22Speaker 4: because not to say that these these you know, old
- 51:26Speaker 4: school networks are the bastion of good. It's just that
- 51:30Speaker 4: at least at one point they was individuals. It's kind
- 51:33Speaker 4: I feel like ploribus. It's like, hey man, there was
- 51:36Speaker 4: some individuality going, there was some competition going.
- 51:39Speaker 2: Now everybody is joined that ship is wild to me.
- 51:43Speaker 4: And then the people who are positioned at the top,
- 51:46Speaker 4: who are now trying or already do but are trying
- 51:49Speaker 4: to increase their control of media, increase their control of
- 51:52Speaker 4: news and this and that what we get to see
- 51:55Speaker 4: on TV. And not to say that what everything you
- 51:57Speaker 4: said wasn't true. Yes, because there are ways to fight back,
- 51:59Speaker 4: There ways to make changes that will help you during
- 52:05Speaker 4: this process. It's just that the ship is still happening.
- 52:08Speaker 1: Yes, And my thing is you can't stop it. No,
- 52:11Speaker 1: and you can't.
- 52:11Speaker 3: And that's like that is like the thing where I
- 52:13Speaker 3: always go to. It's like when one day I used
- 52:16Speaker 3: to be one of those people who would worry about conspiracies, right,
- 52:18Speaker 3: I would. I've read every conspiracy there you can imagine.
- 52:22Speaker 3: And one of my best friends said, Ben, your rents
- 52:24Speaker 3: still do you know? And that's how I look at
- 52:26Speaker 3: a lot of these things, Like, if you're worried about Netflix,
- 52:28Speaker 3: there's a couple of other companies like I just you know,
- 52:30Speaker 3: I name people who I don't even like that.
- 52:32Speaker 2: Yeah, but I don't. I don't like that response that
- 52:34Speaker 2: people say, like, well there's others like we know, no.
- 52:36Speaker 1: No, no, no, listen, let me finished listening to listen,
- 52:40Speaker 1: let me finish.
- 52:41Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not about that that that you have other
- 52:43Speaker 3: things to do. Your rent is still do et cetera. Yes,
- 52:46Speaker 3: But what, like I said, if you're worried about companies consolidating,
- 52:49Speaker 3: Netflix isn't the one. Like I named other people who
- 52:53Speaker 3: I'm not gonna name again, and you know, the companies
- 52:55Speaker 3: they own and work with are the ones that you
- 52:58Speaker 3: should really be wororried about.
- 53:00Speaker 1: And these are the people who are behind Netflix and
- 53:02Speaker 1: everything as well. And at the same time, all like,
- 53:06Speaker 1: as I'm.
- 53:07Speaker 3: Sitting there thinking about this today, I reposted a photo
- 53:10Speaker 3: from when the Black Panthers free breakfast program was going on.
- 53:15Speaker 3: And for those who don't know the free breakfast program,
- 53:17Speaker 3: what is the reason why kids have breakfast in schools today?
- 53:22Speaker 3: Straight up and down. And it's one of the It's
- 53:24Speaker 3: probably one of the major reasons why they started shooting
- 53:27Speaker 3: Black Panthers. You know, carrying guns is one thing, but
- 53:29Speaker 3: when you start giving breakfast to kids.
- 53:31Speaker 1: Oh no, y'all fuckers got it go giving powers to
- 53:33Speaker 1: all the people, to all people. So that's what I'm saying.
- 53:37Speaker 3: That is like, what's going through my head right now
- 53:39Speaker 3: is that image because that fight and that struggle never ends.
- 53:45Speaker 3: And the enemy and another line that I always love
- 53:47Speaker 3: is from the Wire is the game don't change. It
- 53:50Speaker 3: just gets fiercer. You know, it does not change, It
- 53:54Speaker 3: just gets rougher. But the struggle continues. You know a
- 53:59Speaker 3: lot of people been there was something I welcomed the
- 54:01Speaker 3: dairy about Black Wall Streets. A lot of people talking
- 54:03Speaker 3: about Black Wall Street and the struggle continues, you know
- 54:07Speaker 3: what I mean. It always is going to be oh,
- 54:10Speaker 3: look what they doing?
- 54:11Speaker 1: Now? Yeah, but what are you doing? You know?
- 54:13Speaker 3: And that's what I'm saying. You're gonna have to keep fighting,
- 54:16Speaker 3: That's what I mean. It's not about you know that,
- 54:18Speaker 3: Oh you gotta go pay your rent. No, You're gonna
- 54:20Speaker 3: have to keep fighting. That's what i'man from the very
- 54:22Speaker 3: jump of this conversation. You gotta still make that art,
- 54:25Speaker 3: you gotta still get it out to the people, and
- 54:27Speaker 3: you know, you gotta have to figure that out because
- 54:29Speaker 3: the fight still continues, you know, and it's every day,
- 54:35Speaker 3: you know, like maybe you won't ever get to write
- 54:38Speaker 3: a Batman comic, Oh will you know?
- 54:42Speaker 1: You're gonna have to write your own Batman?
- 54:44Speaker 2: So what about the people that say life dream?
- 54:47Speaker 1: Sorry? But no, what where my dude?
- 54:51Speaker 3: Like the sympathy and where I do feel it as
- 54:53Speaker 3: someone who does work in these industries is the shrinking
- 54:56Speaker 3: of it. Like there used to be like so many
- 54:59Speaker 3: writing jobs in Hollywood And when I was there, i
- 55:03Speaker 3: mean eight, you know, seven years ago, it was this
- 55:06Speaker 3: many and now it's this many, and you can't see
- 55:08Speaker 3: my hands, it's shrunk, you know, dramatically.
- 55:12Speaker 2: That's also a symptom of consolidation lies And that's what.
- 55:15Speaker 3: I'm saying that, But that when I say that, that's
- 55:18Speaker 3: why it's like, well, we're going to have to create
- 55:19Speaker 3: these jobs outside of Hollywood, you know, we're going to
- 55:23Speaker 3: create these situations for ourselves. We have to create these economies,
- 55:26Speaker 3: you know, on a smaller scale, you might have to
- 55:28Speaker 3: steal back.
- 55:29Speaker 1: You know. Writers, they're paid a lot in Hollywood.
- 55:31Speaker 3: I know, it's a great life, what that you make it,
- 55:34Speaker 3: you know, but you might have to figure out another
- 55:36Speaker 3: way to be a writer, and it might not make
- 55:38Speaker 3: as much money, you know, but you might get your
- 55:41Speaker 3: message out to a better way. And that's what I
- 55:44Speaker 3: always talk about, right It's like one of my favorite books.
- 55:47Speaker 3: I can't remember the name, but the lesson I learned
- 55:49Speaker 3: from it is that revolutions are not started by changing
- 55:53Speaker 3: one hundred people one percent. They're started by changing one
- 55:55Speaker 3: person one hundred percent. So that's how you start a revolution.
- 55:59Speaker 3: So if you are really about this life, if you
- 56:02Speaker 3: want to make art, if you want to make change,
- 56:05Speaker 3: then Hollywood is never the fucking way to go in
- 56:08Speaker 3: the first place. Spam it was a way for you
- 56:10Speaker 3: to sell out and you know, get paid. Sure, but
- 56:13Speaker 3: if you really wanted to do it, you know that
- 56:15Speaker 3: ain't where it is. And then at the same time,
- 56:18Speaker 3: like Netflix is its evil monster with nothing work slop.
- 56:21Speaker 3: But I went and see some of my favorite films
- 56:24Speaker 3: in the last five years without Netflix. Athena are this
- 56:30Speaker 3: year Blue Giants on there. One of my films of
- 56:34Speaker 3: the year, Good News is on there, and that was
- 56:37Speaker 3: the way they were distributed. So it's like I knew,
- 56:40Speaker 3: you know, I knew about Blue Giant through other ways
- 56:41Speaker 3: through Mellow put me on when it came out in Japan.
- 56:44Speaker 3: But now it's on Netflix for everyone to see it. Sure,
- 56:47Speaker 3: you got to go through a bunch of slot, but
- 56:49Speaker 3: that's like, you know, I know, I just come from
- 56:51Speaker 3: this world where like when I first got into hip hop,
- 56:53Speaker 3: people tell me hip hop is dead, and this is
- 56:55Speaker 3: in the early nineties, right way before now I've ever
- 56:58Speaker 3: made that album, et cetera. You know, I'm talking, They're
- 57:00Speaker 3: like this, did you know? And I'm like, what, it's
- 57:03Speaker 3: just popping. Y'all just sound old. And that's the same
- 57:07Speaker 3: thing I feel about anything. It's always going to be
- 57:09Speaker 3: a lot of slot.
- 57:11Speaker 1: You know.
- 57:11Speaker 3: That's why I tell people like people nowadays, they're like, yo,
- 57:13Speaker 3: you can't put anything good music.
- 57:15Speaker 1: I'm like, well, one, you listen to the radio. Two
- 57:18Speaker 1: you're not looking.
- 57:21Speaker 3: And because the ways in which you used to get
- 57:23Speaker 3: music don't exist anymore, right, And.
- 57:25Speaker 4: That's what I'm saying when I'm like it is also
- 57:28Speaker 4: a problem for a lot of people because not to
- 57:29Speaker 4: say that they're not trying, but.
- 57:30Speaker 2: It gets harder. Yeah, and it's get buried, and don't
- 57:33Speaker 2: get buried.
- 57:34Speaker 1: Here, sir.
- 57:34Speaker 3: It's gonna get worse. We are living in troubling times.
- 57:39Speaker 3: Things are going to get worse, you know, like you know,
- 57:44Speaker 3: like straight up, one of my favorite movies that re
- 57:46Speaker 3: releasing in theaters in January, The Lord of the Rings saga.
- 57:50Speaker 3: You know, I wish i'd you know, never lived to
- 57:52Speaker 3: cite these times. No, no one wants to see it,
- 57:55Speaker 3: you know. But it's what you do with the time
- 57:57Speaker 3: that you were given.
- 58:00Speaker 4: I wish none of this shit happened.
- 58:02Speaker 1: Sure do all live to see such times, but that
- 58:05Speaker 1: does not for them to decide. Oh, we have to decide.
- 58:09Speaker 1: It's what to do with the time to get them.
- 58:12Speaker 1: That's what it always is, you know, times rough. My
- 58:16Speaker 1: auntie got enough problems on her own. It's supposed to
- 58:19Speaker 1: be grown nigga, Like you know, you're gonna have to,
- 58:22Speaker 1: you know, get up and get out and get something.
- 58:26Speaker 1: That's what I mean. It's just I get it. I
- 58:28Speaker 1: get it.
- 58:28Speaker 3: I get it, Trust me, I get it. I love
- 58:31Speaker 3: those nice Hollywood writers. Job man woo check is lovely faults.
- 58:38Speaker 1: You know.
- 58:39Speaker 2: My thing.
- 58:39Speaker 4: It's all about the control.
- 58:41Speaker 3: Yeah, and you'll yeah, well see that's the it is.
- 58:45Speaker 3: The problem of distribution is the problem. But like I said,
- 58:49Speaker 3: I come from son out of the trunk, you know.
- 58:51Speaker 3: I come from growing up under too short you know,
- 58:54Speaker 3: who made an empire. Shout out to Luther Campbell, Uncle Luke,
- 58:57Speaker 3: who made an empire, you know, Masterpce empire by selling
- 59:01Speaker 3: out of the goddamn Trump.
- 59:04Speaker 4: You know.
- 59:04Speaker 3: So that's where I come from. I don't come from like,
- 59:06Speaker 3: oh well, let me go get it from someone else,
- 59:10Speaker 3: you know. I come from Texas, where you know, like
- 59:12Speaker 3: every rapper is like shit, it's a gold mind.
- 59:14Speaker 1: Just selling in Texas.
- 59:17Speaker 3: You know, I don't need for need to sell outside
- 59:19Speaker 3: of the state, you know, Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama. I'm
- 59:24Speaker 3: good money fan, you know, And so that's why, like
- 59:28Speaker 3: you got to understand, you know, the game is done
- 59:29Speaker 3: to change, but you're gonna have to adapt.
- 59:32Speaker 1: That's what it's all about. The game is always changing.
- 59:34Speaker 1: Like you can't sit there. The game gets fiercer, watch
- 59:36Speaker 1: the fire folks in it. You know, everything's laid out.
- 59:40Speaker 3: And that's the thing, Like I always tell people, I
- 59:42Speaker 3: come from playing games like Shadow Run where eventually it
- 59:45Speaker 3: was two or three corporations, demolition man laid it out,
- 59:49Speaker 3: supposed to be Taco Bell.
- 59:51Speaker 1: You know.
- 59:51Speaker 3: My boy used to say about conspiracies, God, Coca Cola
- 59:54Speaker 3: and I being made a deal a long time ago.
- 59:57Speaker 3: You better stop worried about anything. But you God damn Rent,
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: you know, because he's like God, Coca Colon. Yeah, they've
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: been made the deal, you know what I mean, Like.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: Made the deal.
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: You don't have nothing on that level to think about,
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: you know. But the fight is still gonna continue, That's
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: what I'm saying. You know, That's all I'm saying about.
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: All that's I get it, you know, But and yeah,
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: on that, let's move to this next topic because the
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: fight still gonna continue.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: The Golden Globe nominations came out.
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: And the favorite film got laced with mad nomination.
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: And this is what did I tell y'all when I said,
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: when I stepped out of the theater, when and I'll
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: say it on here. I don't even say this goddamn
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: movie's name, you know, in public anymore. But when one
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: battle after another one I stepped out of the theater,
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: I was like, this movie should be the most nominated
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: film for the osp ship and I hate it and
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: it's darbage, you know, But that's a lot of them
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: joints like that Whiplash, a movie that I love in
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: a way, was super nominated, and then it led to
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: La La Land, which got all the nominations and almost
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: stole it from Moon. Like it's the same director at everything.
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: And La La Land and Whooplash are both about jazz music.
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: And I haven't seen La La Land because I saw
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: Whiplash and I was like, this movie has nothing to do.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: With jazz music.
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: You know, I've never seen either.
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: You've seen Whiplash, right, Oh well, who Blast is wildly entertaining,
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: don't get me wrong, it's so good, but it's just
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: not about jazz, you know.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: It's about some music that is about playing fast and
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: being pise, you know, and I guess that I guess
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: that's what they think jazz is about.
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: But that movie, now, okay, you know, and people loved it,
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: you know, peoplere like, O good.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: You know, and then led to the dude being able
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: to do la la lambe.
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: They were liked, give him to ask for and so
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: it's like this would you know, I will always say
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: once again, like I just said, the fight won't continue,
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: and that's not for us.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: You know, Sinners got what it's needed to get money.
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: Sinner's got seven nomination.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: It also got seven nominations.
- 1:01:56Speaker 4: Best Picture, the Best Performance by Male Actor, Michael Jordan's,
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: Best Director, Let's Go, Original score, Luvid Gornson, the original
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: song I allowed to you, cinematography.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: Yeah all right, all right, I lied to you, Miles.
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: Canton, who sang that all right? All right, Frank it's
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: notin Hit Big two.
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: I haven't seen it yet, Like you know, even though
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: I'm not really the biggest fan of One Battle, I'm
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: very proud of Tianna Taylor. She actually got a nomination
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: for Best Performance by Supporting Supporting.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: Female Reporting because she vanishes frankens sign.
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: I got ripped on threads because you know, after I
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: watched it, I was like, did I miss something? Because
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: this is just yet another White Man Needs a Hug
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: movie for me?
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: Did this is Girmo's movie?
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: It is?
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: Right?
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: And don't don't get me wrong, I'm a Guirmo fan
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: up to a point, you know, but like I felt,
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: you know, I got attacked by a couple of you know,
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: you know, film threads and I looked through their threads
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: and they were all, oh my god, this movie and
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: all that. So I was like, all right, cool, you
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: know that's how y'all feel. Shout out to honest trailers
- 1:03:03Speaker 3: who basically summed it up like I said. They said,
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: it is a White Man Needs a Hug movie that
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: feels pretty much like a Marvel movie of points in
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: terms of its simplicity, and like the way, I won't
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: spoil anything, but oh my god, like the Redemption arc
- 1:03:19Speaker 3: is like, okay, you're good now, you know, I guess
- 1:03:22Speaker 3: so yeah, whatever, Frank, It's not being nominated is one
- 1:03:24Speaker 3: of those like as.
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: Mad nominations too, you know, did you even come out yet? Avatire,
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: Fire and Ash got nominations.
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, like I usually trust the going globes,
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: I know, what he calls the nominated out the right
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: Marty Supreme.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: Did he get nominated?
- 1:03:43Speaker 3: Is not out yet officially, but I know it's it's
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: going for the Oscar big time too, Timothy.
- 1:03:48Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, Best Screenplay, yeah everything, Best Motion Picture, Best Performers,
- 1:03:53Speaker 4: Timothy Chambley.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: What about Tyler? Tyler? No supporting for Tyler, he's in it?
- 1:03:59Speaker 4: Let me see. Well no, Marty only came up four
- 1:04:01Speaker 4: times in those four categories, So yeah, I'm sorry.
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: I just like, you know that Oscar buzz love, you know,
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: get rolling down the hill to Tyler.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: You know, I was hoping, you.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: Know, and I still haven't seen im. Do want to
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: see it?
- 1:04:18Speaker 4: F one F one got got nams.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: Yeah. I was surprised to see that one too.
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: I was actually surprised.
- 1:04:23Speaker 4: Cinematic and cinematic and box office achievement. Okay, original score
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: for Hans Zimmer, but that's Hans Zimmer, like.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: Yeah, you know.
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: And again, like I said, it's just just similar.
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: Door got nominated right on TV because loves TV and film,
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: and or got.
- 1:04:40Speaker 4: Diego Luna Best Performance by a Male Actor and TV.
- 1:04:44Speaker 4: That's all I see for and Or damn got got
- 1:04:49Speaker 4: phenominated in that same category. For Task Gary Oldman Stooney K.
- 1:04:53Speaker 4: Brown for Paradise.
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: Yes, okay, okay, I hope you saw the teaser there.
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: It was a tease of a teaser. I can't leave
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: that man's playing crashed already though was I.
- 1:05:02Speaker 4: Was like, did you just leave my hap you didn't
- 1:05:10Speaker 4: get five m I know you wasn't like too too
- 1:05:14Speaker 4: tough on this latest or the last season before. Maybe
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: in the latest season, but the Bear got like four
- 1:05:19Speaker 4: Best TV Series, Musical Comedy, I at the Berry, she
- 1:05:23Speaker 4: got Best Performance Female Actor and TV Jeremy Allen White
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: for Best Male Actor, And oh that's it. Yeah, but
- 1:05:32Speaker 4: you know, some of some of some good some.
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: Good things here.
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: And also just again just partially related to the last
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: conversation we just had, Like seeing Apple and Netflix come
- 1:05:41Speaker 4: up so many times in this it's just startling to me,
- 1:05:45Speaker 4: just as someone who grew up with these niggas, and
- 1:05:47Speaker 4: not to say it doesn't change.
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: It's just like, oh, yeah, but that's the game. You know,
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: that is the game.
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: And like when you watch Apple having really great things,
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: you know, really good things, you know.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: For the most part, I really eight things they deserve it.
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: Like, like I told you, the studio and the studio,
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: and the studio is one of the ones that is
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: like laying out, but it's happening. You know that that
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: is exactly the first season is about a streaming company,
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: I think Amazon trying to buy.
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: Up the studio and speaking about laying out, what's happening.
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: You know how my husband and I are are are
- 1:06:20Speaker 4: catching up on The Morning Show or season three and
- 1:06:24Speaker 4: this is literally season where a tech company buys a
- 1:06:28Speaker 4: legacy media company. And I was just sitting there like, oh,
- 1:06:30Speaker 4: this is parallel to everything happening right now, and it's
- 1:06:35Speaker 4: it's a season from like two years ago.
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: So jeez, Louise, And.
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: Like I said, though, it was supposed to be Taco Bell,
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: you know that's what Demolition Man said. You know it's
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: going to be Taco Bell or like my boys said,
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: IBM Coke and god, you know, it was always going
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: to be somebody it is.
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: Oh and shout out to Steth Thrower because I sucked
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: with him.
- 1:06:54Speaker 4: He's justo.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: Yeah, best TV series, best performs by male actor. They're
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: gonna female too.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: Yeah, It's look. I love that show. I can't wait
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: for season two.
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: And so you still watching Abbot Elementary of course abbot
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: ab't got some too.
- 1:07:12Speaker 4: That's TV. Oh, that's it.
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: Oh, I see right now is best TV series?
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: Okay, but you know always yeah average one of those
- 1:07:20Speaker 3: ones who it got its early ones and then it's
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: gonna be like the last season whenever they do a
- 1:07:25Speaker 3: final season.
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: That they're gonna lace them a bunch of rewards.
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, because right now it's like,
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: you know, they're just established and it's it's solid, but
- 1:07:33Speaker 3: it's not game changing, you know, any one season so far,
- 1:07:36Speaker 3: they haven't had a like I remember I can'tmember what
- 1:07:39Speaker 3: season of Black and Sue was. Remember one season of
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: Black and was right after Atlanta had come out where
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: I was like, yo, they got a new show runner
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: because this is different. This is like this season is
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: like they were watching Atlanta and they're like, okay, it's
- 1:07:49Speaker 3: time to definite. They did a musical episode about black history.
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: They did all these really crazy episodes that season where
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: I was like, yo, they have stepped it up.
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: So they haven't done that.
- 1:07:59Speaker 3: Yet on Avid Elmary, but hopefully, I mean they've had
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: great you know, it's all been solid. Don't get me wrong. Man,
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: One of my I'm still watching one of my favorite
- 1:08:08Speaker 3: shows ever. Yeah, and I'm so happy for it to
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: exist because, like I say, it's so rare to see
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: a show involving positive black people and who are not superheroes,
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: who are not anything that's far. Love it so much
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: because I feel like it just shows role models that
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: we don't get to see enough.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: And man, that show, it brings me to tears, something I.
- 1:08:28Speaker 4: Love to Quincent Brunston man. She she came so far
- 1:08:31Speaker 4: then from the days of what was she on BuzzFeed?
