- 1:38- Here is today's prayer.
- 1:44- Oh, I had the welcome to daily prayers
- 1:47- with Valerie Rocha.
- 1:49- Today's prayer focus is dealing with how to
- 1:51- respond biblically
- 1:52- when someone hurts or offends you.
- 1:55- Scripture text comes from Proverbs fifteen one and
- 1:58- reads, a gentle answer turns away wrath,
- 2:01- but a harsh words
- 2:02- stirs up anger.
- 2:05- It's easy to study patience until someone tests
- 2:09- SARS.
- 2:11- A disrespectful
- 2:12- comment,
- 2:14- hurtful text,
- 2:16- family disagreement,
- 2:17- or difficult coworker
- 2:20- can quickly reveal whether scripture has moved from

- 3:29- Give us wisdom to know when to speak,
- 3:32- when to listen,
- 3:33- and when silence is the wiser response.
- 3:37- Help us extend grace without compromising truth.
- 3:40- And may the way we handle difficult conversations
- 3:45- demonstrate that your word is changing us from
- 3:47- the inside out. And we will bless you
- 3:50- in Jesus' name. Amen.
- 3:53- Before responding to something difficult today,
- 3:57- remember to practice the strategy,
- 3:59- pause, pray,
- 4:01- then speak.
