- 2:08Speaker 1: We're hyping up the raccoons because every little thing you
- 2:11Speaker 1: do helps us allegedly alleged in the algorithm, and so
- 2:15Speaker 1: thank you. In hey think you now? I do want
- 2:20Speaker 1: to say and I keep meaning to say this, but
- 2:23Speaker 1: my voice is terrible. It's not now, it is during
- 2:26Speaker 1: the spring like, I don't know if it's allergies. I'm
- 2:29Speaker 1: very thin, you are, and so I'm very directed by
- 2:33Speaker 1: the planetary vibrations. And so it's just a spring thing.
- 2:37Speaker 1: And hopefully by the time summer comes along, I'll have
- 2:40Speaker 1: my robust voice.
- 2:41Speaker 2: In your bikini body, in my bikinie one.
- 2:43Speaker 1: I'm working for it. I'm out there working for it.
- 2:45Speaker 1: So sorry about that in advance. Now, Beatrice, I do
- 2:49Speaker 1: have to ask you, after watching this most recent episode
- 2:52Speaker 1: of Welcome to Platfill, what do you think girl?
- 2:56Speaker 2: Kim Plath triggers me so hard? Go on, She triggers
- 3:00Speaker 2: me in my butt, She triggers me everywhere. She just
- 3:03Speaker 2: pisses me off. And I'm just like, you know, Lydia's
- 3:07Speaker 2: cutting her hair, I guess allegedly her old lady hair,
- 3:11Speaker 2: and I'm just like, I hate you can't old lady hair?
- 3:14Speaker 1: Doesn't she have pretty hair?
- 3:17Speaker 2: No? Okay, God, no, I'm just playing. I'm just making
- 3:21Speaker 2: fun because.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Well, him reminds you of God. Don't see that you
- 3:27Speaker 1: said it. You say it every single week. It's not
- 3:29Speaker 1: like these people don't. She does.
- 3:31Speaker 2: She does.
- 3:32Speaker 1: So Kim reminds you. And so every time we see.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Her ball bar, like, my god, this is terrible.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Should we start over? No, No, that's not start. We're
- 3:42Speaker 1: just gonna keep going. We're powering through. Every time you
- 3:44Speaker 1: see her, like it stirs something up in a very
- 3:48Speaker 1: essential part of who you are, and like you have
- 3:51Speaker 1: to deal with it.
- 3:52Speaker 2: I do it.
- 3:52Speaker 1: So it's like psychological and spiritual warfare.
- 3:54Speaker 2: I have to do shadow work every single time.
- 3:57Speaker 1: That's what the podcast is for. Shout out her work.
- 4:01Speaker 1: God bless it for you, honey. Okay, So your's my takeaway.
- 4:06Speaker 1: This shit is boring. I'm bored, and I'm nervous, and
- 4:11Speaker 1: I'm looking at the wall and I'm seeing some writing
- 4:14Speaker 1: on it, and it feels like to me that they
- 4:17Speaker 1: might be going down the path that they went down
- 4:21Speaker 1: a couple of seasons ago, where we had a lot
- 4:24Speaker 1: of manufactured production influenced content that was stupid and boring,
- 4:32Speaker 1: and I really hope that we're not going to do that.
- 4:35Speaker 1: I think our best bet for drama in Platfow is
- 4:40Speaker 1: Lydia getting a spine and telling Kim she is an overweight,
- 4:47Speaker 1: addicted adulterer, terrible mother who blew up the family and
- 4:54Speaker 1: I have no respect for you. Well that's Lydia, I
- 4:56Speaker 1: don't either, but Lydia says, I don't have any respect
- 4:59Speaker 1: for you and tell Kim exactly the truth, Like that's
- 5:02Speaker 1: what we need to see. And I think we need
- 5:04Speaker 1: to see something with Ethan too, because I just want
- 5:08Speaker 1: to smack him. I want to smack his face. He's
- 5:11Speaker 1: growling and he's always frowning.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Well, he's depressed, Okay, get over in therapy.
- 5:17Speaker 1: It's time to be an adult.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Oh my god, why is there so much grace for
- 5:20Speaker 2: the girls on this podcast because the girls are sweet?
- 5:23Speaker 1: Okay, I don't know what happened. Men's sweet? No, yes,
- 5:28Speaker 1: they know. There's something very toxic about Ethan Plath. There's
- 5:33Speaker 1: something very red pilled about Ethan Plath. He has gone
- 5:37Speaker 1: his own way. Men go their own way. Migtaw, that's
- 5:41Speaker 1: where Ethan's gone. He's going straight to hell. Need some
- 5:45Speaker 1: I need some aspects from him. I need something more
- 5:48Speaker 1: than just growling like a caveman and going to stock Teagan.
- 5:51Speaker 1: I could care less. I could literally care less, And
- 5:54Speaker 1: so I'm just putting the show on notice, like, get
- 5:56Speaker 1: your shit together. The thing that makes you interesting is
- 5:59Speaker 1: your dysfunction, and be authentic about it. So show that.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Well, what if the family is trying to heal their dysfunction, Well,
- 6:06Speaker 2: you can't by just covering over it for drug sweeping,
- 6:10Speaker 2: which is what Kim wants to do.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Because Kim can't hear any critique.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Don't Eve get back.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Actual spiritual abuse she perpetrated on all of these kids.
- 6:20Speaker 1: I'm going crazy. I'm just telling you, get to the root.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know.
- 6:25Speaker 1: What the roots the roots. Yeah, there's some fake shit here.
- 6:28Speaker 2: It is some fake shit, and I'm not into it. Yeah,
- 6:31Speaker 2: this episode was totally boring. I co sign that, Okay.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Yeah, and that's all I have to say about that.
- 6:36Speaker 1: So without further ado, let's get into our recab of
- 6:39Speaker 1: Welcome to Platfill Season eight, episode three and tettled.
- 6:43Speaker 2: Fish or cut bait, Like, what is that even reverencing?
- 6:48Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 6:49Speaker 2: I don't know either.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Shit or get off the pot. Right, It's like I
- 6:51Speaker 1: guess or don't do something. But who would that be
- 6:54Speaker 1: referring to?
- 6:55Speaker 2: Maybe Isaac or maybe Ethan?
- 6:57Speaker 1: I don't know, girl, he's broken plath men.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Yeah, good job Bury and Kim. But we start off
- 7:05Speaker 2: with Barry, Micah, Mariah and Ethan going to get some
- 7:08Speaker 2: pizza and some drinks. But Ethan is like, not even
- 7:11Speaker 2: really there.
- 7:12Speaker 1: He's grunting. Literally, he's saying he's non syllabic.
- 7:16Speaker 2: He is just staring out into the darkness of his life.
- 7:22Speaker 2: But this is where we have Mariah talking about like
- 7:25Speaker 2: living in Montana and how she thought there was going
- 7:27Speaker 2: to be no people out there because like, who even
- 7:29Speaker 2: lives in Montana.
- 7:30Speaker 1: It's because she never got an education. Nobody ever taught
- 7:33Speaker 1: her a geography class. That other people exist in states
- 7:36Speaker 1: in America. I know, poor dumb Mariah.
- 7:39Speaker 2: But I am happy to hear that she loves it
- 7:41Speaker 2: out there. She has no plans of coming back to Georgia.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Thank God. Get away from your family and just live
- 7:46Speaker 2: your best life and find yourself a cowboy.
- 7:49Speaker 1: We want that for her. But I do just want
- 7:51Speaker 1: to go on record and notice that a few seasons ago,
- 7:56Speaker 1: when she was moving out of the house with Kim
- 7:58Speaker 1: and Barry and she had her boyfriend, and she was
- 8:01Speaker 1: trying on all these different outfits and playing with makeup,
- 8:04Speaker 1: she had much more of an independent streak, whereas now
- 8:08Speaker 1: she seems much more timid, much smaller, very mousey. Like
- 8:15Speaker 1: something has changed with Mariah. I'm glad she's happy in Montana.
- 8:18Speaker 1: But is anybody else noticing this with her? I don't know.
- 8:22Speaker 2: I kind of took it off, but it took it
- 8:24Speaker 2: as like, you know, she's living on her own and
- 8:26Speaker 2: trying to figure shit out, and it's kind of it's
- 8:28Speaker 2: a lot. It's a lot. Yeah, like when your daughter
- 8:31Speaker 2: and I moved to Arizona, because we lived out there
- 8:33Speaker 2: for a few years, like it was, I mean, it
- 8:36Speaker 2: changed us fundamentally, like and it changed our personalities a
- 8:39Speaker 2: little bit because you're away from everything and everybody you know,
- 8:43Speaker 2: and it's a lot. It's a new state. So that
- 8:45Speaker 2: was kind of what I was getting. I don't think.
- 8:47Speaker 2: I don't get the psychic vibes that it's a bad thing.
- 8:50Speaker 1: No, it's not that it's a bad thing. It's just
- 8:52Speaker 1: that I'm not seeing an arc where she's getting stronger,
- 8:56Speaker 1: she's getting bolder, she knows what she wants, she's going
- 8:59Speaker 1: out after it. Of course, she wanted to move to Montana,
- 9:02Speaker 1: and she went after that. But there's just something in
- 9:05Speaker 1: her personality that's very worrying. It makes me think of
- 9:09Speaker 1: girls who've been abused in their past, how they kind
- 9:13Speaker 1: of talk in a baby voice. Even as adults, and
- 9:16Speaker 1: they kind of want to appear energetically and even in
- 9:19Speaker 1: their physical body is smaller than they are. I'm just
- 9:23Speaker 1: sending up the flair. There's something a little weird here.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Well, And with Mariah, it is a very stark change
- 9:29Speaker 2: from how she was last year, because last year I
- 9:32Speaker 2: was definitely concerned about her, with how much she was
- 9:34Speaker 2: drinking and how morose she was and very very quiet.
- 9:38Speaker 2: So maybe this is just part of her journey. Okay,
- 9:41Speaker 2: maybe she's figuring her shit out, sure, and maybe she
- 9:44Speaker 2: will be a firecracker in a year or two.
- 9:46Speaker 1: I just wish there was some proactivity on the part
- 9:50Speaker 1: of Barry and Kim for their kids, like Isaac to
- 9:55Speaker 1: get an education, Micah to go to trade school, Mariah
- 10:00Speaker 1: to have some therapy, like active reaching out to take
- 10:03Speaker 1: care of their children. But they're so self fucking obsessed
- 10:07Speaker 1: that these kids are just falling by the wayside.
- 10:09Speaker 2: I think Kim, for sure, is definitely self obsessed. I
- 10:12Speaker 2: think Barry is just totally checked out, like he doesn't
- 10:15Speaker 2: really know how to be like a present husan, like literally.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Be this sentient, cognitive awake person.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Yes, Like I think Barry taking the older kids out
- 10:27Speaker 2: to get drinks and pizza is like the extent of
- 10:31Speaker 2: what he's capable of, Like he's not capable of like
- 10:34Speaker 2: picking up the phone and being like, Hey, Mariah, are
- 10:36Speaker 2: you okay? M hmm, are you good? I want to
- 10:39Speaker 2: talk to you and ketch up on your life. Like
- 10:41Speaker 2: that's just not what he's doing. And that's the unfortunate thing.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Like that's me. If I've got like a little bit
- 10:48Speaker 1: of neurodivergence, which I suspect a little bit with Barry.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Like if I've got I don't have a personality that
- 10:53Speaker 1: allows me to be expressive and reach out to my kids,
- 10:55Speaker 1: well then I'm going to amass the tools that will
- 10:58Speaker 1: help me to do that. Yeah, but I don't see
- 11:00Speaker 1: any of that self starting energy with Barry and Kim
- 11:04Speaker 1: it either. But with Kim it's just because she doesn't
- 11:06Speaker 1: give a fuck about anything but drinking, fucking that one
- 11:10Speaker 1: eyed racist Kim Palmer and eating yeah eating. Oh sorry,
- 11:15Speaker 1: she's so despicable. I'm gonna say all the things.
- 11:18Speaker 2: She's the worst.
- 11:18Speaker 1: If you don't like that, what are you doing on
- 11:21Speaker 1: the podcast? That's what I do for? Really sorry about it.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Yeah, So Barry is talking to them about Mariah living
- 11:28Speaker 2: in Montana, and then it somehow segues into him dating
- 11:31Speaker 2: and trying to find a woman to fuck. I guess
- 11:34Speaker 2: them snoring and we talk about like pickup lines and stuff,
- 11:39Speaker 2: and I'm like, can we stop? How you doing talking.
- 11:42Speaker 1: About produced content? Nobody needs to watch?
- 11:45Speaker 2: What is this? I'm just I'm cringing really bad, and
- 11:49Speaker 2: like not in a funny like I'm enjoying it kind
- 11:52Speaker 2: of way, in a like please stop, make it stop,
- 11:55Speaker 2: Please make it stop. And then we kind of segue
- 11:58Speaker 2: on to some scene with Kaylan aka Isaac's ex Pooky Bear,
- 12:04Speaker 2: and then Isaac at the peanut farm, and like we
- 12:07Speaker 2: bought back and forth between these two because we're talking
- 12:10Speaker 2: about their breakup that just happened last episode. And we
- 12:13Speaker 2: have Kaylan going to hang out with her friend who's
- 12:17Speaker 2: in her forties.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Or something I know, and have wine fellow nursing student.
- 12:22Speaker 1: I guess is she a student and grandmother Kim?
- 12:26Speaker 2: This is like your mom or whatever. But she goes
- 12:29Speaker 2: and hangs out with this lady Kim and talks about
- 12:31Speaker 2: her breakup with Isaac, and then Isaac talks with his
- 12:34Speaker 2: weird friend Ralph at the peanut farm about us breakup
- 12:37Speaker 2: with mud and shit all over his hands and questions.
- 12:41Speaker 1: First question, is this your peanut farm, Isaac? I don't
- 12:44Speaker 1: think it's somebody else's peanut farm.
- 12:47Speaker 2: I think he works at someone else's peanut farm. Okay,
- 12:49Speaker 2: picking peanuts, which just sounds terrible.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Go to school?
- 12:53Speaker 2: Well, maybe this is what he wants to do. I mean,
- 12:55Speaker 2: he's got his pilots and so I'm like, why don't
- 12:57Speaker 2: you fly planes?
- 12:58Speaker 1: Become a pilot, makes so much fucking money going to
- 13:01Speaker 1: the military. I mean, when I them f fifteen since stuff, I.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Think he like wants to do this. I don't. I
- 13:06Speaker 2: don't know. I don't.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Okay, pick peanuts, Okay, Okay, we're gonna judge you.
- 13:10Speaker 2: You're right, you totally are. But what was interesting about
- 13:14Speaker 2: this back and forth about this breakup is that all
- 13:18Speaker 2: sides seem to realize that Isaac is confused. He doesn't
- 13:24Speaker 2: know what he's doing in his life very as much
- 13:27Speaker 2: as in his relationship with Kaylin. And when Kaylen is
- 13:30Speaker 2: talking to her friend Kim, Kim has kind of a
- 13:34Speaker 2: base point where she says, you know, Isaac has witnessed
- 13:38Speaker 2: relationship failure after relationship failure after relationship failure, it was
- 13:42Speaker 2: his parents, and then it was Ethan twice because he
- 13:45Speaker 2: got divorced, and then Teagan broke up with him, and
- 13:47Speaker 2: then Micah with his girlfriend Veronica the evil vampire Witch.
- 13:52Speaker 2: So it's like, poor Isaac, the youngest brother out of
- 13:56Speaker 2: all of this, has witnessed all of this and so
- 13:58Speaker 2: maybe he's just a bit scared. I thought that was
- 14:00Speaker 2: really cool that Kim even brought that up to Calin.
- 14:03Speaker 2: I do think that that's exactly what's going on here.
- 14:05Speaker 2: I know you had posed, yeah, the question last week,
- 14:08Speaker 2: did he cheat? He's a cheat?
- 14:09Speaker 1: I'm going to take that back, yeah, because it didn't
- 14:11Speaker 1: seem that way after watching him talk about it. But
- 14:15Speaker 1: what's going on Isaac? Right, You're going to break up
- 14:18Speaker 1: with this girl that you claim to love, and then
- 14:22Speaker 1: that Sunday you're going to call her and say you
- 14:24Speaker 1: miss her. You call her parents and ask for forgiveness
- 14:28Speaker 1: and ask for them to pray for you, and now
- 14:32Speaker 1: you want her back. I'm just like, what's going on here?
- 14:34Speaker 1: You can't do that to people. You can't take breaks,
- 14:36Speaker 1: you can't break up and then just expect them to
- 14:38Speaker 1: come running back to you. But he's young, Yes, he's
- 14:41Speaker 1: younger than Pooky Bear. She's twenty two, he's twenty, yep,
- 14:44Speaker 1: so he has a lot to learn. But at the
- 14:46Speaker 1: same time, do you really want to be getting married
- 14:48Speaker 1: at twenty years old? Do you want to get out
- 14:51Speaker 1: there and have more life experience. I could see why
- 14:54Speaker 1: he's maybe a little conflicted and he doesn't know and
- 14:56Speaker 1: he can't trust his own experience because his family was
- 15:00Speaker 1: a shit show.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Yep.
- 15:02Speaker 1: But I feel for him.
- 15:03Speaker 2: I feel for him too, and I think he's just
- 15:05Speaker 2: genuinely confused. Obviously, doesn't make it right to like play
- 15:09Speaker 2: with Caylen's heart in this way and to you know,
- 15:12Speaker 2: be in this long term relationship with her and then
- 15:14Speaker 2: just dump her and then a couple days later regret it.
- 15:16Speaker 2: Like that's not how we handle things here. But given
- 15:20Speaker 2: the fact that he came from Barry and kim Plath,
- 15:23Speaker 2: and like, obviously this kid did not have any tools
- 15:26Speaker 2: or any kind of guidance whatsoever in any department in life,
- 15:31Speaker 2: whether it's relationships or jobs or education or anything like.
- 15:36Speaker 2: He hasn't really gotten any kind of help or guidance or.
- 15:41Speaker 1: A demonstration of how a healthy relationship works. But sorry,
- 15:46Speaker 1: that's got some thunge. I don't know if you guys
- 15:47Speaker 1: can hear that there's some storm that's going on out there,
- 15:50Speaker 1: but I know that Pooky Bear said. And I think
- 15:53Speaker 1: Isaac also referenced somebody named Mario. Yeah, like a guy
- 15:57Speaker 1: that he's working with that's giving Isaac's advice like, no,
- 16:01Speaker 1: you should be out, you're young, play the field, have
- 16:04Speaker 1: your fun, so your seeds. So maybe he was listening
- 16:07Speaker 1: to some Andrew Tate wanna be Yeah, sorry, I'm on one.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Some toxic man in his workforce breaks up with Caylin
- 16:16Speaker 1: and now he's regretting it.
- 16:18Speaker 2: I think that's probably what happened. Like he had some
- 16:21Speaker 2: friend tell him like you should be fucking other people probably,
- 16:24Speaker 2: and you should be young and and Alathario and like
- 16:27Speaker 2: you don't want to settle down right now, And you know,
- 16:30Speaker 2: he probably got scared and like given his history and
- 16:34Speaker 2: like witnessing Ethan for example, get married really really young
- 16:38Speaker 2: at twenty or twenty one or whatever it was, and
- 16:41Speaker 2: then have that ultimately fail a couple of years ago.
- 16:44Speaker 2: I'm sure that's what's going through Isaac's head of like, well,
- 16:47Speaker 2: maybe I don't want to do that.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Now, granted we have Kylin saying like, I never said
- 16:52Speaker 2: that I want to get married right away. Like I know,
- 16:54Speaker 2: I'm a little bit older and stuff, and I'm a nurse,
- 16:56Speaker 2: so I'm successful.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Press sexed it out. I think she was probably him
- 17:00Speaker 1: a little bit.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Maybe, I don't know if she was pressuring him.
- 17:03Speaker 1: I don't I'm kind of a very traditional conservative girl.
- 17:08Speaker 1: She's gonna want to have a husband, and she's gonna
- 17:12Speaker 1: want to have babes, and so I could see her
- 17:14Speaker 1: talking about these things and Isaac being like, oh my god,
- 17:17Speaker 1: I don't know what to do with that.
- 17:20Speaker 2: I could see her talking about it, but I can't
- 17:21Speaker 2: see her being like pressuring him hardcore for it. I
- 17:25Speaker 2: think maybe Isaac maybe perceived it that way and he
- 17:28Speaker 2: got freaked out and I was like, no, I can't
- 17:30Speaker 2: do it. But ultimately we hear from him saying, you know,
- 17:34Speaker 2: after I broke up with her, I immediately regretted it.
- 17:36Speaker 2: I miss her every day. I don't want to wake
- 17:38Speaker 2: up if I can't wake up next to her.
- 17:41Speaker 1: And I should have thought about it before I had
- 17:42Speaker 1: dumped her. Isaac, No, for real, she's beautiful, she's a nurse,
- 17:46Speaker 1: she can move on, and she could get any guy.
- 17:49Speaker 2: So he's hoping that he can get a second chance.
- 17:52Speaker 2: And we've seen on his Instagram and stuff it looks
- 17:54Speaker 2: like they do get back together. And apparently he posted
- 17:58Speaker 2: on Easter Sunday that they were still together. So okay,
- 18:03Speaker 2: I think they ultimately do get back together.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Why do they do that? And they also showed that
- 18:06Speaker 1: in the season preview. I don't know as she goes
- 18:08Speaker 1: with him to Montana to visit Mariah. So why are
- 18:11Speaker 1: we spoiling what's happening in upcoming episodes?
- 18:14Speaker 2: We got a manufacture content, I guess so. And then
- 18:17Speaker 2: we move on to Ethan, Amber Mercy, and Cassia at
- 18:21Speaker 2: the farm and this is where they sing Amazing Grace
- 18:25Speaker 2: and I'm bored.
- 18:27Speaker 1: I love Jesus and everything. I love that you sing
- 18:30Speaker 1: to Jesus, but I just don't need to watch you
- 18:33Speaker 1: and listen to you sing to Jesus.
- 18:35Speaker 2: No, I'm super bored, And like all of this is
- 18:37Speaker 2: just to talk about how Ethan is just a super
- 18:39Speaker 2: quiet dude who doesn't talk to anybody and doesn't open up.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Do you see what I'm saying about him wanting to
- 18:44Speaker 1: make this his identity. I think I said this last
- 18:46Speaker 1: week or the week before. It's almost like he wants
- 18:49Speaker 1: us to consider him this stoic, quiet, brooding kind of
- 18:55Speaker 1: a guy that I don't know that he actually is.
- 18:57Speaker 1: I just think he's psychologically broken.
- 19:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree. I think he needs therapy.
- 19:02Speaker 1: It's not a persona dude.
- 19:04Speaker 2: No, I think he needs therapy, and I think he
- 19:06Speaker 2: needs to deal.
- 19:06Speaker 1: With his shit. It's not attractive.
- 19:07Speaker 2: It's obvious he's depressed and he's but hurt because him
- 19:12Speaker 2: and Tagan aren't together. But I'm like, dude, you made
- 19:14Speaker 2: your bed, you came back to kro and now you're
- 19:17Speaker 2: talking about in this scene about how you don't want
- 19:19Speaker 2: to be in Caro and you don't want to stay
- 19:20Speaker 2: in Georgia and you might go back to Wisconsin to stop.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Taking Listen Toothless, he's living in Kim's fuck barn.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Yeah, he's like, I'm hating my life.
- 19:31Speaker 1: And he's hating his life and he doesn't have anywhere
- 19:34Speaker 1: to go. I don't think he has a job. I
- 19:36Speaker 1: know we're going to talk in the preview about him
- 19:37Speaker 1: having an opportunity to do some work or whatever, but
- 19:40Speaker 1: I don't think he's employed. No, what are you doing
- 19:42Speaker 1: with your life? You are so lucky to have the
- 19:45Speaker 1: possibility of a bombshell like Tigan, and you're just gonna
- 19:49Speaker 1: lie to her and put her off and dismiss her
- 19:52Speaker 1: and then want to go back and get her back
- 19:54Speaker 1: to take her home to where? How are you going
- 19:57Speaker 1: to provide for her and her child?
- 19:59Speaker 2: No?
- 19:59Speaker 1: For real, doing Ethan.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Girl, It beats me. I'm I'm I am looking forward
- 20:05Speaker 2: to seeing him and Teague and get back together, though
- 20:08Speaker 2: I'm wondering what that's gonna look like and if she's
- 20:11Speaker 2: like mad at him or whatever. I'm also looking forward
- 20:14Speaker 2: to it because maybe there's gonna be some drama because
- 20:17Speaker 2: as it is right now.
- 20:19Speaker 1: I'm bored, Agreed, I'm tired, Agreed.
- 20:22Speaker 2: This is boring. But what's not boring is we get
- 20:25Speaker 2: to this conversation between Lydia and Kim where Lydia is
- 20:30Speaker 2: cutting Kim's hair or whatever at her apartment in Tallahassee,
- 20:35Speaker 2: and we have this like awkward, forced, forced conversation between
- 20:41Speaker 2: the two of them because obviously there's been a lot
- 20:43Speaker 2: of tension.
- 20:43Speaker 1: I hated this.
- 20:44Speaker 2: This pissed me off so bad. It starts off with
- 20:49Speaker 2: Kim admitting that she didn't reach out to Lydia because
- 20:53Speaker 2: she felt judged. She felt like Lydia was disapproving of
- 20:59Speaker 2: her and her life choices. She felt super judged and
- 21:02Speaker 2: that hurt her fiefees, and so she didn't reach out
- 21:05Speaker 2: to her daughter because her fiefees were.
- 21:08Speaker 1: Hurt who she parentified. And after she exploded her entire
- 21:14Speaker 1: life and left the family home to go and cohabitate
- 21:18Speaker 1: with that one eyed racist camp Palmer from Facebook, she
- 21:22Speaker 1: leaves Lydia in the home in the farm to take
- 21:26Speaker 1: care of the three girls, the littles, Amber, Cassia, and Mercy,
- 21:30Speaker 1: while Barry is working. So she's now also got to
- 21:34Speaker 1: be a proxy wife, cook Berry's meals, take care of
- 21:38Speaker 1: Barry's emotional health. Meanwhile, Kim is out wrapping her car
- 21:42Speaker 1: around a tree and fucking this dude and drinking all
- 21:45Speaker 1: the time, and so yeah, Lydia's pissed, but you Kim
- 21:48Speaker 1: decided to give some distance because she was so judgmental.
- 21:52Speaker 1: What the fuck? I felt like I was in the
- 21:54Speaker 1: twilight zone.
- 21:55Speaker 2: I'm like, get fucked, Kim. You should be judged, You
- 21:58Speaker 2: should be judged.
- 21:59Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, like this.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Is how you raised your kids, and then you all
- 22:02Speaker 2: of a sudden, like seemingly overnight, completely destroyed all of
- 22:07Speaker 2: that and then you're gonna have your feelings hurt because
- 22:09Speaker 2: you're one of your eldest daughters is judging you.
- 22:12Speaker 1: You indoctrinated into the religion that she currently practices in
- 22:16Speaker 1: which judgment is a big part of it. Yeah, I'm
- 22:19Speaker 1: just saying, it's a big part of Christianity is your
- 22:22Speaker 1: morals and your judgments. And now you're gonna have a
- 22:24Speaker 1: resentment toward the daughter that you brought up in this way.
- 22:28Speaker 1: I just hate her so much. I hate her so much.
- 22:31Speaker 1: She has no ability. No, she does have an ability
- 22:34Speaker 1: to see herself for what she's done. She is unwilling
- 22:38Speaker 1: to do it though. Yeah, she's more driven by her impulses,
- 22:41Speaker 1: her indulgences, what she wants for herself. She's making this
- 22:44Speaker 1: big fucking fairy tale. I'm like living out at the
- 22:47Speaker 1: farm with Ken palmeran is dumb jukebox and my three babies,
- 22:51Speaker 1: and everybody's so happy. No they're not. No, they're not No,
- 22:54Speaker 1: they're not happy. Lydia's not happy. She's crying in this scene. Yeah,
- 22:57Speaker 1: she's trying to connect with you, but you take no
- 22:59Speaker 1: owner for your bullshit and your pretending life is so great,
- 23:04Speaker 1: even though you've gained one hundred pounds. Dude, You've literally
- 23:07Speaker 1: gained one hundred pounds.
- 23:09Speaker 2: I mean one hundred and fifty.
- 23:12Speaker 1: I'm just I'm just spitballing here. But like, not everything's
- 23:15Speaker 1: okay in your life. No, maybe if you start by
- 23:18Speaker 1: taking some accountability and looking at yourself and the shit
- 23:22Speaker 1: that you've done and how you've hurt these people, and
- 23:24Speaker 1: let's take it all the way back to Joshua and
- 23:26Speaker 1: the fact that you were the person behind the wheel. Yeah,
- 23:29Speaker 1: come on, now, there's so much going on here, but
- 23:31Speaker 1: you're not willing to look at it, and you want
- 23:33Speaker 1: to push it off on your kids, like Lydia no respect.
- 23:36Speaker 2: And like what bothered me is like, I'm a kid
- 23:38Speaker 2: of divorce and my parents' divorce was messy, it was toxic,
- 23:42Speaker 2: it was really dysfunctional and terrible, and to witness that
- 23:47Speaker 2: in and of itself is really hard. But in this
- 23:50Speaker 2: conversation with Lydia and Kim, there is literally no acknowledgment
- 23:55Speaker 2: of that. There is no space for Lydia to like
- 23:58Speaker 2: feel her own feelings about that. There's no space for
- 24:01Speaker 2: Lydia to even be judgmental of her mom who's an
- 24:04Speaker 2: adulterous like literally, there's no space whatsoever. It's just Kim
- 24:09Speaker 2: being a perpetual victim and crying about the fact that
- 24:12Speaker 2: she felt judged by her daughter. Give me a fucking break, dude.
- 24:16Speaker 2: You should be lucky that only one of your kids
- 24:18Speaker 2: judged you harshly and not all of them. Because if
- 24:22Speaker 2: I was in.
- 24:22Speaker 1: This family, even if Kim was my mom, I would
- 24:25Speaker 1: be bringing out the notebook. I'd be like, okay, number one,
- 24:28Speaker 1: we start here. No, every time I saw her, I'd
- 24:31Speaker 1: be taking her inventory. Until you make good and make
- 24:35Speaker 1: actual amends for what you did, we can't have any conversation.
- 24:39Speaker 1: And so in this scene we've got Lydia just sacrificing
- 24:44Speaker 1: herself in order to have some kind of a connection
- 24:48Speaker 1: with Kim. Lydia tells us that, you know, once Kim
- 24:51Speaker 1: left the family, she was not vulnerable with Lydia. She
- 24:55Speaker 1: was not transparent, which I think equals Kim was straight
- 24:58Speaker 1: up lying to her kids to Lydia to get Lydia
- 25:01Speaker 1: to do what she needed to do for Kim, and
- 25:04Speaker 1: that that is what caused the distance as far as
- 25:08Speaker 1: Lydia's perspective is. And she didn't really even get to
- 25:11Speaker 1: say that though. No, she said it to the camera,
- 25:14Speaker 1: and you've got a producer asking Lydia, who's like shutting
- 25:17Speaker 1: down because Kim is not helping her to like open
- 25:20Speaker 1: up her feelings and have a conversation. So the producer's
- 25:23Speaker 1: trying to do that, yep, And the producer is asking
- 25:25Speaker 1: Lydia with Kim not there, like what's going on, She's
- 25:28Speaker 1: just like nothing.
- 25:29Speaker 2: And I really think these kids are like worried about
- 25:32Speaker 2: hurting their mom's feelings, because if you recall last episode
- 25:36Speaker 2: and the one before that, Kim had mentioned the fact
- 25:39Speaker 2: that she was very hurt and upset that Lydia went
- 25:43Speaker 2: on social media and quote talked bad about her, And
- 25:46Speaker 2: so that's the root of all of this, I think
- 25:48Speaker 2: is that Kim doesn't like that her kids are talking
- 25:50Speaker 2: shit about her. She wants to manipulate them and make
- 25:53Speaker 2: them feel bad for her so that way they can
- 25:56Speaker 2: come back on her side, because again, Kim is but
- 25:59Speaker 2: hurt and bitter that her kids had the gall to
- 26:03Speaker 2: side with Barry in any capacity during the divorce. And
- 26:06Speaker 2: Kim even says that in this episode in her talking
- 26:08Speaker 2: head that she felt like Lydia took Barry's side and
- 26:12Speaker 2: didn't want to hear about her feelings, and I'm like, girl,
- 26:14Speaker 2: why would we want.
- 26:15Speaker 1: To hear about your feeling And why wouldn't Lydia take
- 26:17Speaker 1: her father's side. You left him high and dry with
- 26:20Speaker 1: all the kids in the house to go fuck another man.
- 26:22Speaker 1: And she knew it. What you think she's dumb? No, No,
- 26:25Speaker 1: she's in her little prayer closet praying for her dad.
- 26:28Speaker 2: But that's the thing. Pim wants everybody to feel bad
- 26:31Speaker 2: for her because she had to leave this marriage, and
- 26:37Speaker 2: she cries about that in this scene.
- 26:40Speaker 1: She's just like, I wanted so badly to give you kids.
- 26:43Speaker 2: A stable home with two parents, but I just couldn't
- 26:45Speaker 2: do it anymore. Miss me with that, but.
- 26:47Speaker 1: You kept pushing out kids though, Miss me with that.
- 26:50Speaker 2: Also, I don't fucking care. I don't fucking care. Go
- 26:53Speaker 2: to marriage therapy.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 26:55Speaker 2: Go and work on this shit privately with your husband.
- 26:58Speaker 2: Don't go on a national TV show and parade around
- 27:02Speaker 2: your family like you're this traditional conservative paragon of virtue exactly,
- 27:07Speaker 2: and then a whole whopping two years later, break it
- 27:11Speaker 2: all up, destroy it, and then get with Ken Palmer. Like,
- 27:15Speaker 2: if you're gonna do that, why don't you find a
- 27:17Speaker 2: man that's like attractive and can actually see out of
- 27:19Speaker 2: both of his eyes.
- 27:20Speaker 1: And God, who is I means fun? Guys, that's like
- 27:24Speaker 1: a terrible person.
- 27:26Speaker 2: Who isn't your son's flight instructor.
- 27:28Speaker 1: Also, there's just a lack of integrity, Yes, the lack
- 27:34Speaker 1: of values, and you have to ask yourself. And I'm
- 27:36Speaker 1: sure this is part of what Lydia's problem is, Like
- 27:39Speaker 1: where did those values go overnight? Exactly? I thought this
- 27:42Speaker 1: is the way we were supposed to live our lives.
- 27:44Speaker 1: I thought it wasn't just about us as humans. I
- 27:47Speaker 1: thought it was about God and what we're supposed to
- 27:50Speaker 1: do to be faithful to God. Like what happened to
- 27:53Speaker 1: change that so quickly? So Lydia's left being shocked, being used,
- 28:00Speaker 1: being taken advantage of, and Kim in this moment, it
- 28:03Speaker 1: would have been a great opportunity for you to say,
- 28:06Speaker 1: you know what, I did some things wrong. Here are
- 28:09Speaker 1: the things that I should have done differently, And this
- 28:12Speaker 1: is what I'm doing now in my life because I'm
- 28:14Speaker 1: aware of that, and I'm going to therapy and I'm
- 28:16Speaker 1: going to be reaching out to you, and I want
- 28:18Speaker 1: to all the things, all the healthy adult things. She
- 28:21Speaker 1: could have said, but no, She waits for Lydia to
- 28:24Speaker 1: say something like, well, I just really, you know, I
- 28:27Speaker 1: don't judge you and Ken, and you seem happy and
- 28:30Speaker 1: I'm happy.
- 28:30Speaker 2: For you, and then she breaks down.
- 28:32Speaker 1: Kim bursts into years as if that's the one thing
- 28:36Speaker 1: she's been waiting to hear from Lydia for years.
- 28:39Speaker 2: I hated God, I hated it too.
- 28:42Speaker 1: It just part rage in me.
- 28:43Speaker 2: That made me so angry because also, like, why do
- 28:46Speaker 2: you need the approval of your adult children for the
- 28:51Speaker 2: life that you chose. It felt to me like Kim
- 28:54Speaker 2: is insecure because she made this decision to break up
- 28:58Speaker 2: her family in this way and destroy everything and destroyed
- 29:01Speaker 2: her relationships with her kids. But because Lydia says I
- 29:04Speaker 2: accept you, mom and your one eyed racist boyfriend, Kim
- 29:08Speaker 2: is like, oh my god, I'm validated. I didn't just
- 29:11Speaker 2: completely ruin my life. And it's like, ultimately, Kim, maybe
- 29:15Speaker 2: you should go to therapy and realize, like this wasn't
- 29:18Speaker 2: the right choice. I feel like she only stays with
- 29:20Speaker 2: Ken because this is the man she left her husband for.
- 29:25Speaker 2: But I'm like, you could like lose weight and get
- 29:28Speaker 2: therapy and stop drinking and probably find yourself a really cool,
- 29:33Speaker 2: healthy relationship to be in. But instead you choose the
- 29:36Speaker 2: drunk ken palmer.
- 29:38Speaker 1: Like you could be doing what Barry's doing exactly, investing
- 29:41Speaker 1: in himself, trying to get closer to his children, realizing
- 29:46Speaker 1: he could have been a different kind of dad all along.
- 29:48Speaker 1: But like, he doesn't want to waste time now. He
- 29:51Speaker 1: wants to meet his kids where they are and be
- 29:53Speaker 1: a dad to them. He's taking care of his body,
- 29:56Speaker 1: he cares about his life. I mean, like, Kim, you
- 29:59Speaker 1: could doing all of those things as well, but no,
- 30:02Speaker 1: because what you really are is a woman who left
- 30:05Speaker 1: your entire family for another man. You cheated on your husband. Yep,
- 30:10Speaker 1: you broke up your family.
- 30:12Speaker 2: And like I've said it before and I'll say it again.
- 30:15Speaker 2: You know, if she was super unhappy with Barry, like
- 30:17Speaker 2: she has all the right to leave him whenever, and
- 30:20Speaker 2: I get that one hundred percent, but it's the way
- 30:23Speaker 2: she went about it. It's the way that she hurt
- 30:26Speaker 2: her kids in the process. And yet we still don't
- 30:29Speaker 2: have any kind of acknowledgment from Kim about how she
- 30:33Speaker 2: hurt her kids in this way, how she broke up
- 30:36Speaker 2: their family in this way. And like we had Ethan
- 30:39Speaker 2: at one point say something in this episode about how, like,
- 30:43Speaker 2: you know, me being on the farm, it's not the
- 30:46Speaker 2: same anymore because I'm never going to get back to
- 30:48Speaker 2: that life that we had where my parents were together
- 30:51Speaker 2: and we had my whole family on the farm, and
- 30:53Speaker 2: like that is a real thing, and I totally empathize
- 30:59Speaker 2: with that emotion. I feel like Lydia probably feels that too,
- 31:01Speaker 2: but she doesn't know how to articulate it. She even
- 31:04Speaker 2: says something like, you know, I have a hard time
- 31:07Speaker 2: articulating my emotions, Like I need Zach to do it
- 31:10Speaker 2: for me because he is better at expressing that. We
- 31:14Speaker 2: have like a little scene with Zach where he says,
- 31:17Speaker 2: you know, I think that Lydia is really missing the
- 31:20Speaker 2: nourishment from her mom and like the nourishment of their
- 31:23Speaker 2: relationship and like understanding Lydia, and I think he's right
- 31:27Speaker 2: about that. But we don't get any of that because
- 31:30Speaker 2: all Kim cares about is that her kids, especially Lydia,
- 31:34Speaker 2: who is the one that she indoctrinated the most, accepts
- 31:37Speaker 2: her for her debaucherous, disgusting lifestyle with Ken fucking Palmer,
- 31:41Speaker 2: so that way she can go back to her house
- 31:44Speaker 2: on the farm and be with Ken guilt free. I
- 31:48Speaker 2: guess that's what it felt like to me.
- 31:50Speaker 1: But she's not guilt free. And this is where I say,
- 31:54Speaker 1: I think she has the capacity to do some inner work,
- 31:59Speaker 1: but she's so unwilling to look at herself and what
- 32:02Speaker 1: she has wrought and what she has done, and so
- 32:05Speaker 1: it's being expressed through her body. And I'm really I
- 32:09Speaker 1: know I was being rude before, but like, actually it's
- 32:13Speaker 1: showing up. The body keeps the score. Your body's going
- 32:15Speaker 1: to be telling you all the time, like you've got
- 32:18Speaker 1: unresolved issues and trauma. And like, to be fair to Kim,
- 32:22Speaker 1: she grew up in a terrible childhood. She had an
- 32:24Speaker 1: alcoholic mother, isn't that interesting? Who had a lot of
- 32:28Speaker 1: men around Kim as a child. And Kim has said
- 32:31Speaker 1: she was abused as a child, and we can all
- 32:34Speaker 1: wonder and speculate as to how that abuse took place.
- 32:36Speaker 1: But like she's been through a lot, and so she
- 32:39Speaker 1: had a huge reaction when she was in college and
- 32:42Speaker 1: she's like, let me be a trad wife. Let me
- 32:44Speaker 1: do the entire opposite of the way that I was raised.
- 32:46Speaker 1: I'm going to raise all of my kids that way,
- 32:48Speaker 1: There's so much inside of Kim that needs to be
- 32:51Speaker 1: looked at and witnessed and worked through. I think she
- 32:55Speaker 1: could maybe do it if she gets to it, but
- 32:57Speaker 1: until she does, is going to show up in her body.
- 33:00Speaker 1: It is going to show up there.
- 33:01Speaker 2: And I can totally have empathy for all of that,
- 33:04Speaker 2: and like no doubt Kim is totally reacting through her
- 33:08Speaker 2: years and years of trauma, like even up until Joshua's
- 33:12Speaker 2: death and everything, Like I get it. I empathize, but
- 33:15Speaker 2: I guess what I can't understand as a human being
- 33:18Speaker 2: on this planet. Like the older that I get, the
- 33:20Speaker 2: more I look at myself inwardly, and the more I'm like, oh,
- 33:24Speaker 2: I could have done that better. I could be a
- 33:26Speaker 2: better person. I don't want to end up like so
- 33:28Speaker 2: and so in my family or I don't want to
- 33:30Speaker 2: repeat these same patterns, like I have these conversations in
- 33:33Speaker 2: my head. The older I get, I'm gonna be fucking
- 33:36Speaker 2: thirty this year, and I feel like I'm so old,
- 33:38Speaker 2: but like to me, like, I just feel like I'm
- 33:41Speaker 2: gonna keep doing that. The older I get, And so
- 33:43Speaker 2: when I look at Kim and her big age, no offense,
- 33:46Speaker 2: but I'm just like a look at her and I'm like,
- 33:48Speaker 2: why can't you have these conversations and why aren't you
- 33:52Speaker 2: doing that? And why aren't you having these kinds of
- 33:55Speaker 2: reflections and communicating to your kids in this way? Like
- 33:58Speaker 2: I just don't understand and how you can get to
- 34:01Speaker 2: that point in your life and not be able to
- 34:03Speaker 2: do that. It just doesn't make sense.
- 34:05Speaker 1: I think it's means so much of it is protective,
- 34:08Speaker 1: and a lot of it is pure selfishness, pure selfishness.
- 34:13Speaker 2: Why selfish though, because they're just not wanting to deal
- 34:16Speaker 2: with it or why.
- 34:16Speaker 1: She doesn't want to deal with it. She doesn't want
- 34:18Speaker 1: to put in the work to resolve her inner issues,
- 34:20Speaker 1: and she would much rather drink fuck can Palmer build
- 34:24Speaker 1: a fake life with him at the farm that she
- 34:26Speaker 1: owned with Berry. She'd much rather be selfish and take
- 34:29Speaker 1: care of those superficial needs than actually look at herself
- 34:33Speaker 1: and what she's done and try to make actual amends
- 34:36Speaker 1: and also to take care of herself in a way
- 34:38Speaker 1: that would help her. However, she thinks about herself and
- 34:41Speaker 1: feels about herself inside.
- 34:44Speaker 2: You know what, that makes sense, but it's fucking stupid.
- 34:47Speaker 1: Well, I mean, yeah, God, Well to your point. She's
- 34:49Speaker 1: fifty four, she's younger than me. Yeah, she's younger than me.
- 34:52Speaker 1: She's like, but she's in her fifties and she doesn't
- 34:55Speaker 1: have an impulse. Yeah that's all say, take care of
- 34:59Speaker 1: her kids, to help her children through the shit that
- 35:03Speaker 1: she did to them. Like, I cannot relate.
- 35:06Speaker 2: I just don't like it, and I don't really like
- 35:08Speaker 2: the trend of this season where we have all of
- 35:10Speaker 2: the kids being like, oh, Mom, I get it now,
- 35:14Speaker 2: I get that you had such a hard life and
- 35:16Speaker 2: I love you and you've been in the wrong so
- 35:19Speaker 2: much and it's so unfair, toy.
- 35:21Speaker 1: It's yes, I've got something over you. I need you
- 35:25Speaker 1: to support me and represent me this season or else.
- 35:29Speaker 2: She's totally bribing them with her maternal love, like, oh.
- 35:34Speaker 1: I'll be and a place to stay, exactly.
- 35:36Speaker 2: You can stay on the farm even though I'm fucking
- 35:39Speaker 2: Kim Bomber in it with his jukebox, Like, you can
- 35:42Speaker 2: stay out here and I'll give you the maternal love
- 35:44Speaker 2: that you are so like looking for if you say
- 35:49Speaker 2: on camera that I'm a mama's right, exactly.
- 35:53Speaker 1: I just hate it, diabolical.
- 35:54Speaker 2: I hate it so much, and so nothing really happens
- 35:58Speaker 2: in this conversation between Lydia and Kim other than Lydia
- 36:01Speaker 2: crying not having any space to actually express all of
- 36:04Speaker 2: the things that she is feeling, which are all very
- 36:06Speaker 2: real and valid, and Kim feeling like things are resolved
- 36:10Speaker 2: now between the two of them.
- 36:12Speaker 1: Crazy business. Gross.
- 36:14Speaker 2: And then we have a guy's night at Georgio's with
- 36:17Speaker 2: Zach and Barry that Kim and her big ass ultimately
- 36:20Speaker 2: crashes at some point, but we start with Barry and
- 36:23Speaker 2: Zach and I don't know. These two dudes are weird
- 36:26Speaker 2: to me. They're just weird little beat boot bops.
- 36:29Speaker 1: I don't know why we need Zach. Why is Zach here?
- 36:32Speaker 1: I mean, I know that he married Lydia, but like,
- 36:34Speaker 1: are we really going to start incorporating him in a
- 36:37Speaker 1: substantial way on this show. He's a dud and I
- 36:44Speaker 1: don't care to pretend that he's going to be Barry's wingman.
- 36:49Speaker 1: I know helped Barry get back out in these streets
- 36:52Speaker 1: and get him a hoe and crack it open or whatever,
- 36:55Speaker 1: Like Zach's not the guy for that. And then we've
- 36:58Speaker 1: got the host of Georgio's, Yeah, where both Kim and
- 37:01Speaker 1: Lydia work Taylor I think is his name, like inserting himself.
- 37:04Speaker 1: Now we've got a new character. We've got a new
- 37:07Speaker 1: dumb character we've got to deal with who relates to
- 37:10Speaker 1: Barry though, because he got out. Taylor got out of
- 37:13Speaker 1: a long term relationship with his partner and it was
- 37:18Speaker 1: around the same time Barry did, and so they have
- 37:20Speaker 1: this in common. But like I just this is the
- 37:23Speaker 1: TLC fuckery. Yeah that I cannot stand, Like you're gonna
- 37:28Speaker 1: ruin a good show by making us sit through this horseship.
- 37:33Speaker 2: Well, it's like, you give me something interesting, like Barry
- 37:37Speaker 2: venturing out and dating people like that to me is
- 37:39Speaker 2: interesting because I want to see this robot, this human
- 37:42Speaker 2: c three po actually go on on dates with people
- 37:45Speaker 2: who are way hotter than Kim, Like I would love that.
- 37:48Speaker 1: I would like more conversation around how Kim is not
- 37:51Speaker 1: his type and how he wants an active person and
- 37:53Speaker 1: somebody who can move their bodies exactly a little at
- 37:57Speaker 1: least a little exactly fifteen.
- 38:00Speaker 2: Feet for real. Please, But we don't need Zach talking
- 38:05Speaker 2: about how he's the right man to be the wingman
- 38:08Speaker 2: for Barry, because you know, he knows a few few things.
- 38:12Speaker 1: And I was just like in the dating pool, like
- 38:14Speaker 1: I just got with Lydia, Okay, Lothario playboy for real.
- 38:18Speaker 2: Mister, I'm not gonna kiss my wife until the day
- 38:20Speaker 2: we get married. And I probably don't even like pussy.
- 38:24Speaker 1: Sorry, mister, I was definitely a virgin at the time
- 38:27Speaker 1: of my nuptiles.
- 38:29Speaker 2: Yeah, please miss me with this. So this whole thing
- 38:31Speaker 2: is like super cringey.
- 38:33Speaker 1: You know.
- 38:33Speaker 2: I thought it was interesting that the host Taylor, even
- 38:35Speaker 2: though he did insert himself into the conversation, it's interesting
- 38:39Speaker 2: to me that he is a homosexual because I don't know,
- 38:44Speaker 2: it's the South, and Barry and the rest of the
- 38:48Speaker 2: planet plan are very fundamentalist Christians, so it's interesting to
- 38:52Speaker 2: me that he's even friends with a gang guy.
- 38:54Speaker 1: Well as a hypothetical maybe behind the scenes in conversations
- 39:00Speaker 1: are taking place in the family and in the family alone.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Micah has come out as gay. Yeah, I don't know.
- 39:07Speaker 1: He was wearing that cowboy hat and he looked so
- 39:11Speaker 1: angelic and ethereal and gay to his mannerisms. And look,
- 39:17Speaker 1: I'm not I'm not here try to stereotype, but I'm
- 39:20Speaker 1: around big gay energy, big gay culture. Always have been though,
- 39:24Speaker 1: and I'm just like saying it's giving the aroma the
- 39:28Speaker 1: oja a little bit gay.
- 39:29Speaker 2: But he said he's got a new girlfriend.
- 39:31Speaker 1: Okay, Well, so maybe it's like I'm just saying, I'm
- 39:36Speaker 1: just saying, maybe he's got a partner and he's got
- 39:39Speaker 1: to say girlfriend because whatever. But like maybe I think
- 39:43Speaker 1: I know he's fluid because of that one season where
- 39:47Speaker 1: he was out in LA and he's like, i'll date
- 39:48Speaker 1: a boy, I'll date it, Okay, I'll date whatever if
- 39:50Speaker 1: I'm attracted. Like, I'm just wondering if maybe they've had
- 39:55Speaker 1: some conversations in the family and so they're more ready
- 39:59Speaker 1: to accept somebody like Taylor.
- 40:00Speaker 2: And that would be very interesting.
- 40:02Speaker 1: I would love that, so we have conversation, more.
- 40:05Speaker 2: Conversations about that. I would love to include Ethan in
- 40:07Speaker 2: those conversations because the discourse online obviously is that he's
- 40:11Speaker 2: a big, old fucking homophobe. Yeah, so it'd be interesting
- 40:15Speaker 2: to have that kind of a conversation. I just thought
- 40:17Speaker 2: it was interesting that the how many times am I
- 40:19Speaker 2: going to say interesting? I thought it was cool that
- 40:22Speaker 2: the host was gay and he's allegedly like BFFs with Barry.
- 40:27Speaker 1: And Zach and Zach makes sense.
- 40:31Speaker 2: Sorry, but it's like, it's just a vibe. We are
- 40:34Speaker 2: so bad, It's just a vibe he's giving off. Side note, Zach,
- 40:38Speaker 2: Zach and Micah, and maybe Micah looks like a blonde.
- 40:43Speaker 1: Jesus, he's so pretty.
- 40:45Speaker 2: He is so pretty.
- 40:46Speaker 1: He's so pretty. He's growing his hair out.
- 40:49Speaker 2: I kind of I don't know how it feel about it.
- 40:52Speaker 1: I like it. I just a little yellow. Well, he's
- 40:56Speaker 1: a beautiful young man. He's definitely, And however he wants
- 40:59Speaker 1: to love somebody in this world, I'm all for it,
- 41:01Speaker 1: Like I just want to have the conversation.
- 41:03Speaker 2: Definitely. Side note though, in terms of beautiful people, Lydia
- 41:08Speaker 2: looks so.
- 41:09Speaker 1: I can't take it. Gorgeous. I cannot take it. Oh
- 41:12Speaker 1: my gosh, just freaking Agelic and Ethereal and Amber.
- 41:16Speaker 2: And all of them. And I'm just like this family.
- 41:20Speaker 1: Through Kim because it didn't come through Mary.
- 41:22Speaker 2: I don't know. When Darry was walking into the bar
- 41:25Speaker 2: and stuff, I'm like, okay.
- 41:27Speaker 1: Look, but I mean all of their children are just
- 41:31Speaker 1: it's so gorgeous.
- 41:33Speaker 2: It can't be all from that.
- 41:34Speaker 1: I think so much of it is from Kim. I
- 41:36Speaker 1: think Kim is a beautiful woman. She's in a particular state. No,
- 41:41Speaker 1: she's her face. She's a beautiful woman. I think that
- 41:44Speaker 1: she's got she brought those genes into this family, and
- 41:47Speaker 1: Barry contributed to.
- 41:49Speaker 2: It's hard for me to look at Kim as a
- 41:51Speaker 2: beautiful woman because she's got such an ugly personality right now,
- 41:55Speaker 2: and I'm just over the whole. She's such a hypocrite, narcissistic,
- 41:58Speaker 2: hypocritical shit that she's pulling off that it makes me
- 42:01Speaker 2: think that she's ugly. That's that's my opinion right now,
- 42:05Speaker 2: because her personality is so bad.
- 42:07Speaker 1: So anyway, she shows up at the bar at the
- 42:09Speaker 1: George Lydeo, and she inserts herself into the conversation about
- 42:15Speaker 1: Barry dating, and she tells very well, you're divorced. Now
- 42:19Speaker 1: you can go out and meet somebody. And Barry's like, Okay,
- 42:24Speaker 1: this is kind of weird to talk to my ex about,
- 42:26Speaker 1: but I guess this is a new world that we're
- 42:28Speaker 1: living in. And outside, Kim is telling the production crew
- 42:32Speaker 1: and the camera leg he can go do whatever he wants.
- 42:35Speaker 1: It's been five years, you know, I would miss it
- 42:38Speaker 1: if you know, I hadn't been out for five years,
- 42:40Speaker 1: And the producer asks her, is there anything else you
- 42:43Speaker 1: would miss, And of course the connotation is would you
- 42:48Speaker 1: miss sex. Well, she wouldn't have to miss sex because
- 42:50Speaker 1: when she left, she was having sex because.
- 42:52Speaker 2: She was an adulter, she was already cheating.
- 42:54Speaker 1: On she'd been fuck it well.
- 42:56Speaker 2: And I'm just like, that's so telling. When she's like
- 42:58Speaker 2: kind of judging Barry for the fact that it's taken
- 43:01Speaker 2: him five years to even think about dating, She's like,
- 43:03Speaker 2: I could not wait that long, And I'm like, yeah,
- 43:05Speaker 2: we know, mm hmm, because you are home, so shut up. Also,
- 43:09Speaker 2: I think it's perfectly reasonable and actually probably healthy that
- 43:13Speaker 2: Barry waited several years to date anybody after you. It's
- 43:17Speaker 2: probably better for the kids anyway. Maybe Kim, you should
- 43:20Speaker 2: learn a thing or two.
- 43:21Speaker 1: Ye'ah, you were married for twenty five years. Yeah, I mean,
- 43:24Speaker 1: take a little time to decant. No, for me to
- 43:26Speaker 1: breathe and to figure your shit out. But no, not Kim.
- 43:29Speaker 2: And we even had to get it open you. We
- 43:32Speaker 2: even had a flashback earlier in the segment with her
- 43:36Speaker 2: and Lydia when she had told the girls that she
- 43:39Speaker 2: was dating Ken Palmer, and Lydia called her out on
- 43:42Speaker 2: it a couple seasons ago, being like you were married
- 43:46Speaker 2: to dad for how long and you're already dating somebody.
- 43:49Speaker 2: Like I can't approve of that. I can't be okay
- 43:51Speaker 2: with that because that's gross mom based, so super based.
- 43:55Speaker 2: But okay, you want to judge Barry because he waited
- 43:57Speaker 2: five years, he got jacked in the five years? What
- 44:00Speaker 2: did you do, Kim? Drink? So anyway, we have this
- 44:04Speaker 2: awkward conversation with everybody involved at this fucking restaurant about
- 44:08Speaker 2: Barry dating. It's awkward as fuck, and then Kim has
- 44:12Speaker 2: to end the episode by saying, well, you know, another
- 44:15Speaker 2: woman can have him, like as if it's like a
- 44:18Speaker 2: dig to Barry yep. And I'm just I'm just over it.
- 44:22Speaker 1: Yeah, she's just kind of a terrible person, Yeah, kind of.
- 44:27Speaker 1: I Mean there's always a part of me that's rooting
- 44:31Speaker 1: for the members of this show, like the family, but
- 44:35Speaker 1: like I am losing all affection for Kim, not that
- 44:39Speaker 1: I ever had any, but like, there's nothing redeeming here
- 44:42Speaker 1: that I'm seeing. There's no part of you that looks
- 44:46Speaker 1: good in any of this, Like you're a I think
- 44:48Speaker 1: you're a terrible person, Kim.
- 44:50Speaker 2: And it's really hard for me when it's like you
- 44:53Speaker 2: were the one that wanted the divorce. You were the
- 44:55Speaker 2: one that left, You were the one that initiated it all.
- 44:58Speaker 2: You're the one that dated first and got with Ken Palmer.
- 45:01Speaker 2: And you want to act like a victim, like you
- 45:04Speaker 2: want to act like it was worn and so durable,
- 45:07Speaker 2: and you want everybody to find sympathy for you and
- 45:09Speaker 2: not side with Barry, who is the one that got left.
- 45:12Speaker 1: Not on this podcast. That's not what we're gonna be
- 45:15Speaker 1: doing over here in the dumpster. Kiam no, ma'am.
- 45:19Speaker 2: So let me get to the preview for next week's episode.
- 45:21Speaker 2: We have Ethan I guess his boss offering him his
- 45:24Speaker 2: business and I'm like, he's probably not gonna take it, though,
- 45:27Speaker 2: because he's gonna move up to fucking Wisconsin and stock Teagan.
- 45:30Speaker 2: And then Ethan does say that his heart belongs to Teagan.
- 45:34Speaker 2: His boss asks him if you know he knows that
- 45:36Speaker 2: Teagan feels the same way, and Ethan is like, well,
- 45:39Speaker 2: I think so, how do you think so?
- 45:41Speaker 1: Because they're probably talking this is probably a nothing berger
- 45:44Speaker 1: staged situation.
- 45:46Speaker 2: Manufactured drama. And then we have Ken Palmer asking Barry
- 45:51Speaker 2: if he's seeing anybody what I'm like the audacity of
- 45:56Speaker 2: this one eyed racist. I'm just like, what can you.
- 46:01Speaker 1: Like Jeremy approaching my second husband and having any kind
- 46:06Speaker 1: of conversation, much less to ask something so per like
- 46:11Speaker 1: this just doesn't happen on the planet. So who's putting
- 46:14Speaker 1: these old men up to this bullshit?
- 46:16Speaker 2: I think Kim was like, hey, can you ask Barry
- 46:20Speaker 2: if he's seeing anybody? Because I want to know if
- 46:21Speaker 2: he's seeing anybody, Because I think Kim, if we are
- 46:25Speaker 2: to believe that she is a narcissist, probably hates the
- 46:28Speaker 2: idea of Barry finding somebody else more attractive, skinnier, more
- 46:34Speaker 2: active than her, because how dare he? You know? I
- 46:38Speaker 2: think she looks at herself and is like, I did
- 46:40Speaker 2: I got myself a prize with Ken Palmer and his
- 46:43Speaker 2: note okay, and his slurring of the words and his
- 46:46Speaker 2: joke Bob.
- 46:47Speaker 1: But why would Ken ever agree to do this? It's
- 46:51Speaker 1: just so drange and embarrassing. Okay, I don't know.
- 46:54Speaker 2: I just thought it was so weird, and I'm like,
- 46:56Speaker 2: are we really going to have a conversation between Ken
- 46:58Speaker 2: and Barry? Apparently himself, you know, is even uncomfortable, and
- 47:02Speaker 2: he's like, I don't want to talk to this fucking loser, Like,
- 47:04Speaker 2: why do I why do I have to have this conversation?
- 47:07Speaker 2: And then we have Isaac and Kim walking through a
- 47:10Speaker 2: forest or whatever, and I think she's wearing a mini
- 47:12Speaker 2: skirt again and they're talking about they're talking about his
- 47:17Speaker 2: breakup with Kaylin and what are we gonna have Kim
- 47:21Speaker 2: give dating advice?
- 47:23Speaker 1: Yep, she's the expert. I can't.
- 47:26Speaker 2: And you know, Isaac's like, I'm scared, I'm not gonna
- 47:28Speaker 2: get her back, but he's going to get her back.
- 47:30Speaker 2: So why are we having this scene? Why do we
- 47:32Speaker 2: gotta have him clues?
- 47:33Speaker 1: I don't know. Like I said, there's some writing. It's
- 47:35Speaker 1: on that wall right there. Like you started off so
- 47:39Speaker 1: well the season. I'm like, I'm excited. I'm still excited,
- 47:43Speaker 1: but like, please don't go down this road.
- 47:46Speaker 2: And I'm just like over how heavy the episodes are
- 47:49Speaker 2: with Kim. And I wasn't gonna say another this like
- 47:55Speaker 2: is very heavy on the Kim and it's very heavy
- 47:58Speaker 2: on the Kim Palmer and I'm like, I'm not interested.
- 48:01Speaker 1: You will not be able to carry this show. No, Kim,
- 48:04Speaker 1: if you want to have your kids, just support you
- 48:07Speaker 1: blindly and have Barry just put up with your horse shit.
- 48:10Speaker 1: Like nobody is gonna want to watch this long term.
- 48:13Speaker 1: I'm not going to.
- 48:14Speaker 2: And I'm like, you know, Kim and Barry, like they're
- 48:17Speaker 2: very cordial on these episodes, but I'm thinking, like to
- 48:20Speaker 2: myself off camera, I'm like, are you guys really this
- 48:23Speaker 2: nice to each other? Because I feel like you're not.
- 48:25Speaker 1: I feel like Barry hates her. I would I actually
- 48:29Speaker 1: feel like he hates her, which makes me wonder, why
- 48:31Speaker 1: would you be doing this show?
- 48:32Speaker 2: Then?
- 48:33Speaker 1: Is money is okay? But I thought he had a job.
- 48:36Speaker 1: I thought like he made a lot of money. Maybe
- 48:38Speaker 1: he wants his kids to be able to make some money. Yeah,
- 48:41Speaker 1: maybe I don't know why he would put himself through
- 48:43Speaker 1: this because it's embarrassing.
- 48:45Speaker 2: It is embarrassing to talk to Ken motherfucker and Palmer
- 48:48Speaker 2: about who you're seeing.
- 48:49Speaker 1: The way I would skip into that room with my
- 48:52Speaker 1: brass knuckles and take care of that old one eyed
- 48:54Speaker 1: man be addressed.
- 48:55Speaker 2: Oh my god, I mean he's got to be older
- 48:57Speaker 2: than Barry. He looks like it. He looks you're on medicare,
- 49:02Speaker 2: you're on aarp.
- 49:05Speaker 1: That, but like it's just you're coming at it from
- 49:11Speaker 1: a place of absolutely no integrity, like you stole this
- 49:15Speaker 1: man's wife. Yeah, we all know that you cheated with
- 49:19Speaker 1: Kim when she was cheating on Barry. So for you
- 49:23Speaker 1: to have the audacity to talk to Barry in any
- 49:26Speaker 1: kind of personal way is just very wild.
- 49:30Speaker 2: And to me, Barry is such a passive person that
