Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, Marc Simone here it is the special bonus segment
- 0:03Speaker 1: for you podcast listeners out there. Lots going on this week,
- 0:08Speaker 1: so you know the Epstein case is. There's gonna be
- 0:12Speaker 1: Congressional hearings on the whole Epstein matter, and they want
- 0:16Speaker 1: the Clintons to testify. The Clintons refused to testify, which
- 0:22Speaker 1: put them in contempt of Congress possible criminal charges. The
- 0:26Speaker 1: committee was about to vote whether to turn it over
- 0:28Speaker 1: to the Justice Department and have them prosecuted, and it
- 0:32Speaker 1: looked like that was going to easily get voted in,
- 0:34Speaker 1: not just by the Republicans, but a lot of Democrats
- 0:37Speaker 1: were going to vote against the Clintons because a lot
- 0:41Speaker 1: of today's Democrats, many of them don't know who the
- 0:43Speaker 1: all the Clintons are, and a lot of them have
- 0:46Speaker 1: no regard for the Clintons anymore. They're like old dinosaurs
- 0:49Speaker 1: from another era. So they're going to have to testify.
- 0:53Speaker 1: The Clintons caved in. They could see they were going
- 0:55Speaker 1: to get prosecuted, so they caved and agreed they'll testify.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Now the arrangement was going to be behind closed doors.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Maybe later some video might be released, but they'll testify
- 1:08Speaker 1: behind closed doors. Well, now the latest development, Hillary Clinton
- 1:12Speaker 1: is demanding demanding a public congressional hearing about her and
- 1:17Speaker 1: her husband Bill's relationship with the deceased sex trafficker Jeffrey
- 1:22Speaker 1: Epstein and Glaine Maxwell. Now comer Hillary said some about
- 1:28Speaker 1: they're always moving the goal post, and Comber, the committee chairman,
- 1:31Speaker 1: now said, well, you guys are moving the goal post.
- 1:35Speaker 1: But I don't know why demanding public Well, I do
- 1:40Speaker 1: know why, Hunter Biden did the same thing. I guess
- 1:42Speaker 1: the reason is that way everybody sees every second. If
- 1:47Speaker 1: it's behind closed doors, they could just leak out what
- 1:49Speaker 1: they want to leak out, so she wants it in public.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Also another reason, remember, Hillary Clinton has nothing to do
- 1:57Speaker 1: all day. She's unemployed, like the old lady in Sunset Boulevard,
- 2:01Speaker 1: sitting in that house up in Chappaquaile getting drunk all day.
- 2:04Speaker 1: He's got nothing to do. So this will give her
- 2:07Speaker 1: a chance to actually put on some makeup, get out
- 2:08Speaker 1: of the house, and terrorize the nation again with her nonsense.
- 2:12Speaker 1: But you'll see those hearings pretty soon. Don't expect much
- 2:15Speaker 1: to come out of it. Republicans aren't good at the
- 2:18Speaker 1: at these hearings. You watched Scott Bessett testify this week.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Democrats tearing into him like pitbulls, just fighting the death
- 2:26Speaker 1: with screaming at him. Republicans don't know how to do that.
- 2:30Speaker 1: They're too quiet, too gentlemanly. It's never never as exciting. Hey, yeah,
- 2:34Speaker 1: that Milania movie upset every left wing Democrat. They're fuming
- 2:40Speaker 1: because they had been writing articles about how there's no
- 2:43Speaker 1: ticket sales. It's gonna bomb, it's not gonna do well.
- 2:46Speaker 1: So the milanim Millennia movie opens, has a big opening weekend,
- 2:50Speaker 1: does eight million the first weekend, which is unbelievable as
- 2:54Speaker 1: a record breaking for a documentary. It goes on to
- 2:58Speaker 1: do like a twelve million for the rest. It's huge.
- 3:00Speaker 1: It's a big hit. In fact, when you look at
- 3:03Speaker 1: the box office numbers, it's like number three in the country.
- 3:08Speaker 1: It's the number three top grossing movie in America. It's
- 3:11Speaker 1: ahead of Marty Supreme, It's ahead of all these big movies.
- 3:14Speaker 1: It's doing very well. So what do democrats do well now?
- 3:17Speaker 1: They start making up conspiracy theories. Jimmy Kimmel launched it
- 3:21Speaker 1: Thursday night, Kimmel yelling and screaming that this is a
- 3:25Speaker 1: conspiracy that it's been rigged. He said, there's no way
- 3:29Speaker 1: it could sell eight million dollars worth of tickets last weekend.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Every theater seemed to be empty. How could it sell
- 3:34Speaker 1: that much. Well, apparently it wasn't because these these are
- 3:38Speaker 1: actual heart. This is just simple math. These are hard numbers.
- 3:41Speaker 1: So Kimmel making up all this nonsense so as to
- 3:44Speaker 1: say there were blocks of tickets being purchased and distributed
- 3:48Speaker 1: to Republican activists and senior citizen homes, which are really
- 3:52Speaker 1: the same thing. Well, none of this is true. And again,
- 3:54Speaker 1: you know, whenever President Trump says anything, they always say
- 3:57Speaker 1: he said without evidence, without evidence. Well, talk about without evidence.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Here's Kimmel with no evidence at all. Kimmel then said, hey,
- 4:05Speaker 1: if you don't believe me, don't forget. In twenty nineteen,
- 4:09Speaker 1: the RNC bought one hundred thousand dollars worth of Don
- 4:13Speaker 1: Junior's books to put in swag bags just to make
- 4:16Speaker 1: it a New York Times bestseller. Well, there is some
- 4:18Speaker 1: truth to that, but that's done all the time for
- 4:21Speaker 1: lots of books. Every time there's a swag bag, it
- 4:24Speaker 1: has a lot of stuff in it. When you go
- 4:26Speaker 1: to a big gallo, when you go to the RNC convention,
- 4:29Speaker 1: you go to a lot of things. There's a swag
- 4:31Speaker 1: bag and it has ten twelve things in the bag.
- 4:34Speaker 1: One of them's always a book. And to do that,
- 4:37Speaker 1: they got to go out and purchase two thousand books
- 4:39Speaker 1: for the crowd in the ballroom. And of it's the
- 4:42Speaker 1: RNC Republican convention, Well that might be ten thousand peoples.
- 4:47Speaker 1: You got to purchase ten thousand books at ten dollars apiece,
- 4:51Speaker 1: and that's one hundred thousand dollars. But it's done all
- 4:53Speaker 1: the time. That's not unusual. And then Kimmel went on
- 4:56Speaker 1: to that this is the main thing the Democrats always do.
- 4:58Speaker 1: It's a bribe. Amazon is bribing. They're bribing the first
- 5:03Speaker 1: family with the forty million. It's a bribe. Well, it
- 5:08Speaker 1: happens to every first lady. In fact, remember when Michelle
- 5:10Speaker 1: Obama got eighty million from Netflix. Eighty million. Remember she
- 5:15Speaker 1: got like sixty million as an advance on a book.
- 5:18Speaker 1: The normal advance is ten million. She got sixty. So
- 5:22Speaker 1: Michelle Obama has if those are bribes, she's taken about
- 5:26Speaker 1: maybe maybe fifty million in bribe. No more than that,
- 5:29Speaker 1: it'd be more like five hundred million in bribes already
- 5:32Speaker 1: if you total it all up. They remember the Obamas,
- 5:34Speaker 1: who didn't have a dime when they left office, are
- 5:37Speaker 1: suddenly billionaires. All kinds of deals came in. They've got
- 5:42Speaker 1: multiple mansions, you know, they own like twelve massive mansions
- 5:46Speaker 1: all over the country. Never heard a word about that.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Nobody called that a bribe. Hey, if you're a liberal,
- 5:52Speaker 1: a Democrat, I don't want to upset you. You might want
- 5:54Speaker 1: to tune away for a little while. But Fox News,
- 5:59Speaker 1: the Fox News Channel, the Fox Business Network, two great
- 6:01Speaker 1: channels combined. They have beat Fox News, beats Wall Street
- 6:06Speaker 1: expectations and sets an all time record for revenue. Now,
- 6:12Speaker 1: you've got to remember all these cable networks MS, now, CNN,
- 6:16Speaker 1: they don't do very well in their ratings, not much
- 6:20Speaker 1: at all. But revenue is the big deal. And revenue
- 6:24Speaker 1: is not just advertising. In fact, when it comes to
- 6:27Speaker 1: cable news advertising sales, that's very little of the revenue.
- 6:30Speaker 1: It's a tiny part of the revenue. The big revenue
- 6:33Speaker 1: is from the cable companies paying for the channel what
- 6:36Speaker 1: they call cable subscriptions. So that's where all the money is.
- 6:40Speaker 1: You know, like if it's let's say a network makes
- 6:42Speaker 1: a cable news network makes four billion, well probably four
- 6:48Speaker 1: hundred million is AD sales and the three and a
- 6:51Speaker 1: half billion is cable subscription revenue. That's where all the
- 6:55Speaker 1: money is. But Fox set an all time record. Now
- 6:58Speaker 1: in the last year it made five point two billion
- 7:02Speaker 1: in revenue. Five point two billion. That's the biggest ever
- 7:06Speaker 1: for a cable network. Two percent year over year increase
- 7:10Speaker 1: AD revenue it was up one percent. Cable advertising up
- 7:14Speaker 1: seven percent. Lachlan Murdoch, the CEO, said, advertising market for
- 7:19Speaker 1: Fox News has been amazingly robust. They've added two hundred
- 7:24Speaker 1: new advertisers and you got to remember that's on top
- 7:27Speaker 1: of three hundred and fifty new advertisers from the year before.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Demand for the product audience incredibly strong. Now CNN miserable ratings,
- 7:37Speaker 1: a lot less revenue. MS now very little revenue and
- 7:43Speaker 1: very very low ratings. It's been no longer part of NBC.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Remember NBC threw it out of the company and then
- 7:49Speaker 1: tossed them out of the building, made them leave the building.
- 7:52Speaker 1: They're now in a dumpy studio, a near Times Square
- 7:56Speaker 1: MS now they no longer have the resources of NBC News.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Remember the old days of the MSNBC now to our
- 8:03Speaker 1: London correspondent, and they go to the big NBC news
- 8:05Speaker 1: reported there. They don't have NBC News anymore to go to,
- 8:09Speaker 1: so when they go to somebody, it's some stringer, some
- 8:13Speaker 1: blogger in London that they use as to correspondent. Now
- 8:19Speaker 1: in Minneapolis, you know these protesters, the pink haired women
- 8:25Speaker 1: with the nose rings, those fat women with the blue hair,
- 8:28Speaker 1: you know, fighting with the ice officers the past week
- 8:31Speaker 1: they were setting up roadblocks, roadblocks and stopping Ice vehicles
- 8:37Speaker 1: and asking for their papers or this is the protesters.
- 8:42Speaker 1: The protesters set up actual roadblocks and checkpoints in Minneapolis,
- 8:48Speaker 1: saying they were protecting their community. The Homan just pointed out,
- 8:55Speaker 1: this is totally illegal a roadblock. You can be arrested
- 8:58Speaker 1: and taken right to jail for roadblock. He called the
- 9:01Speaker 1: chief of police. The police got right out there and
- 9:04Speaker 1: disbanded them and got rid of these people before home
- 9:07Speaker 1: and in company arrested them. So hey, you know the
- 9:13Speaker 1: race in California for governor, they had their first debate
- 9:17Speaker 1: this week and they really went after Gambon and Gavin Newsom.
- 9:21Speaker 1: It was six Democrats and a lone Republican Fox News
- 9:25Speaker 1: host former Fox News host Steve Hilton. It was in
- 9:28Speaker 1: San Francisco, but they all went after Democrats and Republicans.
- 9:32Speaker 1: They all went after Gavin Newsom. That's the problem he's
- 9:35Speaker 1: going to happen if he ever tries to run for
- 9:37Speaker 1: president for real, they will tear him apart on his
- 9:42Speaker 1: record there. He'll never, ever, ever, ever overcome that horrible record. Hey,
- 9:47Speaker 1: we all love the Brady Bunch. You know, that's an
- 9:50Speaker 1: actual house that you see on The Brady Bunch. You
- 9:52Speaker 1: see the shot of their house. It's an actual house
- 9:55Speaker 1: in Los Angeles in the LA area. Well, it's been
- 9:59Speaker 1: sold a few through the years. It's had different owners.
- 10:01Speaker 1: So the current owner and it cost him a lot
- 10:05Speaker 1: of money. The current owner decided since they own the house.
- 10:08Speaker 1: You know, the outside of the house is what you
- 10:10Speaker 1: saw on the TV show. The inside those were all sets,
- 10:13Speaker 1: but the current owners spent a fortune and rebuilt the
- 10:16Speaker 1: entire inside of the house to look exactly like the
- 10:20Speaker 1: Brady Bunch sets. So now when you walk in the house,
- 10:23Speaker 1: it really is that same Brady Bunch living room with
- 10:26Speaker 1: the stairs that pink red orange, or Brady Bunch kitchen.
- 10:32Speaker 1: It cost him about three and a half million to
- 10:33Speaker 1: do this, and they did it with the HGTV. So
- 10:38Speaker 1: now the house is actually the full house. People used
- 10:42Speaker 1: to go buy just to photograph the outside pose in
- 10:44Speaker 1: front of it, but now you can go in and
- 10:47Speaker 1: actually be in the real Brady Bunch house. It's the
- 10:52Speaker 1: same kitchen, the same bedrooms, the same living room, the
- 10:56Speaker 1: whole thing. You can stand on that staircase like you
- 10:58Speaker 1: did in the opening. And apparently they're doing very well.
- 11:02Speaker 1: People are lining up forever to come in and see
- 11:05Speaker 1: this and take a picture. There great idea for them.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Porn Hub the big porn site. I think is that
- 11:11Speaker 1: the number one? Yeah, I think they're the number one
- 11:14Speaker 1: porn site reveals Now, what does this mean? The number
- 11:18Speaker 1: of women watching porn is searching. A new report says
- 11:23Speaker 1: women are using porn more than ever. Thirty eight percent
- 11:28Speaker 1: of all visitors are now women. This has never happened before.
- 11:31Speaker 1: It's a fourteen percent search. Now, why would this be?
- 11:35Speaker 1: Why would women all of a sudden start watching porn? Now?
- 11:38Speaker 1: You know, when you go to these porn sites, you
- 11:40Speaker 1: pick a subject a category to search for. You know
- 11:44Speaker 1: what the most popular search term was latina Okay, second milf.
- 11:51Speaker 1: That's mother's I'd like to whatever. Huh, it's interesting. There's
- 11:57Speaker 1: no age discrimination here. Milf usually means an older woman
- 12:00Speaker 1: fifties sixties. So that's number two. Number three Asian Indian
- 12:06Speaker 1: was number four. Furry, What the hell? I don't want
- 12:14Speaker 1: to know what that is anyway, So interesting stuff. Women
- 12:17Speaker 1: suddenly becoming much more interested in porn. Hey, the Metropolitan Opera.
- 12:24Speaker 1: It sounds great, right, the Metropolitan Opera over there in
- 12:27Speaker 1: Lincoln Center. It's very prestigious. However, they're going broke. They
- 12:33Speaker 1: can't seem to make a living over there. They're always struggling,
- 12:36Speaker 1: you know, the opera. It sounds very prestigious, the Metropolitan Opera.
- 12:42Speaker 1: But you'll notice they're always having a benefit to save
- 12:44Speaker 1: the opera. There's always a you know, you have to
- 12:46Speaker 1: have a subscription. Then there's another benefit, another benefit, just
- 12:50Speaker 1: to keep it alive. The whole opera season is like
- 12:52Speaker 1: twelve weeks and they're still going broke. You know, there's
- 12:56Speaker 1: no benefit to save Lady Gaga's tour, but the opera
- 13:00Speaker 1: you need it. Well. Now, apparently they're broker than ever
- 13:03Speaker 1: because even in the old days, they have twenty benefits
- 13:05Speaker 1: just to keep it going. But now younger generations are
- 13:09Speaker 1: just not interested in the opera, so the attendance is way, way,
- 13:14Speaker 1: way down. They're going to lay off about two hundred
- 13:17Speaker 1: people at the Metropolitan Opera. And if you look at
- 13:20Speaker 1: these numbers, a lot of them make a lot of money.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Look at this guy, these executives one point four million,
- 13:24Speaker 1: music director two million, cutting salaries, laying off a lot
- 13:28Speaker 1: of people. They got, you know, in the lobby of
- 13:30Speaker 1: the mid from an opera. So they've got these Mark
- 13:33Speaker 1: Schagal murals that are worth about sixty million dollars. Well,
- 13:37Speaker 1: apparently they want to sell those. Apparently the deal is
- 13:41Speaker 1: you have to leave them there, but you can own them.
- 13:43Speaker 1: They're also trying to make a deal with the Saudis
- 13:46Speaker 1: two hundred million dollar deal with the Saudis to save
- 13:49Speaker 1: the opera, trying to keep it alive. Look at the now,
- 13:54Speaker 1: wonder they're going broke. Look at this three thousand employees,
- 13:58Speaker 1: three thousand employees. Who eats that many employees? You know,
- 14:01Speaker 1: a Broadway theater it gets by with a couple of hundred.
- 14:04Speaker 1: But desperate to save the opera, they cannot figure out
- 14:09Speaker 1: a way to get younger people to go and I
- 14:11Speaker 1: don't think that's ever gonna happen. Hey, we're out of time,
- 14:13Speaker 1: but thanks for listening. You know I'm here live every
- 14:16Speaker 1: day ten to noon, every weekday, and then on the
- 14:18Speaker 1: weekends we always have a bonus segment for all our
- 14:21Speaker 1: great podcast listeners. Thanks for listening. Talk to you Monday.
