Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Mark Simone.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Only on 710WOR. Well, hey, it's Friday. That's good news.
- 0:10Speaker 2: It's going to rain today off and on. But tomorrow, Saturday, Sunday,
- 0:14Speaker 2: will be very nice. Not warm. Not warm in the 50s.
- 0:17Speaker 2: But it'll be sunny. A lot of things to get to.
- 0:21Speaker 2: This is a very sad story. It's Billy Joel. Billy
- 0:25Speaker 2: Joel opening up about his... medical problems. Now, first of all,
- 0:30Speaker 2: he can't drive anymore. I mean, that's quite a blow
- 0:35Speaker 2: to anybody, but if you're a car guy and a
- 0:37Speaker 2: motorcycle guy, I mean, he really is into cars and motorcycles,
- 0:40Speaker 2: and he can't drive anymore. He's 77 years old because
- 0:44Speaker 2: of the brain problems and balance problems. I've been told
- 0:49Speaker 2: now he can never drive again. He auctioned off his
- 0:53Speaker 2: 70 motorcycles, and maybe Back in the good old days,
- 1:00Speaker 2: remember how many times he was in an accident, hit something,
- 1:04Speaker 2: hit a tree, drove off. So even then he wasn't
- 1:07Speaker 2: the greatest driver, but can't drive anymore. But the really
- 1:10Speaker 2: sad part is he said he's got to take a
- 1:13Speaker 2: series of tests to be 100% sure, but he's been
- 1:16Speaker 2: told he can't perform anymore. No more concerts. Now, again,
- 1:20Speaker 2: he's got to take more tests, and they'll keep treating him.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Maybe it'll get better, but as it stands now, He
- 1:26Speaker 2: will not be able to perform again. The problem is
- 1:29Speaker 2: with this brain stuff. He had a stent in the brain. Actually,
- 1:35Speaker 2: they call it a shunt in the brain. And when
- 1:39Speaker 2: you're doing a concert, besides bouncing around, I mean, you
- 1:42Speaker 2: could sit still at the piano, but you got the
- 1:47Speaker 2: most unbelievable volume right in your ear. Those speakers, the noise,
- 1:52Speaker 2: the sound is going right through your head. And in
- 1:56Speaker 2: his condition, they said it would be like getting a concussion.
- 2:00Speaker 2: So he can't perform anymore. He said, every time you
- 2:03Speaker 2: do the show, it's like you're getting a concussion. And
- 2:05Speaker 2: it didn't help in the past. And now it looks
- 2:07Speaker 2: like it's impossible. You know, that kind of music is very, very,
- 2:12Speaker 2: very loud. You know, if you've ever been to a
- 2:13Speaker 2: concert and you sat in the front row and you
- 2:16Speaker 2: can't believe how loud it is, well, go try sitting
- 2:19Speaker 2: on the stage and hear how loud it is. It's
- 2:21Speaker 2: really bad. He said he's had improvement in his memory.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Balances a little better. Overall, his ability to function is
- 2:29Speaker 2: a little better after the recent surgery. But it's touch
- 2:34Speaker 2: and go, and he most likely will never perform again.
- 2:37Speaker 2: He's continuing to go to physical therapy, listening to his doctors.
- 2:42Speaker 2: It's very sad, though, that he could never perform again.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Look at McCartney, 84, bouncing around on stage, world tour
- 2:50Speaker 2: all over the place in good health. You never know.
- 2:54Speaker 2: uh hey and what was this a terry terry bradshaw
- 2:56Speaker 2: said he's got to retire i you know it looks
- 2:59Speaker 2: fine to me sounds fine but obviously there must be
- 3:02Speaker 2: something going on if he says he's going to have
- 3:05Speaker 2: to step down and retire um hey elon omar looks
- 3:10Speaker 2: like they're going to get her on all kinds of
- 3:12Speaker 2: stuff that lying about her age to get her citizenship
- 3:16Speaker 2: she had to pretend to be a minor at the
- 3:18Speaker 2: time because her father got in and if he has
- 3:21Speaker 2: minor children they can become citizens so Looks like she
- 3:25Speaker 2: altered a birth certificate. This is the allegation. Lied about
- 3:28Speaker 2: her age. And if this is all proven, she's not
- 3:32Speaker 2: a citizen anymore. She will be deported and she can't
- 3:35Speaker 2: obviously serve in Congress if she's not a citizen. But
- 3:38Speaker 2: they're captured a lot of documents there in her house.
- 3:42Speaker 2: They're looking for any ties to any of that Somalian fraud.
- 3:46Speaker 2: You know, her financial situation is quite questionable. In Congress,
- 3:50Speaker 2: you got to fill out those financial disclosure forms. So
- 3:53Speaker 2: one year she was worth $ 30 million, she and her husband.
- 3:55Speaker 2: $ 30 million, the next year $ 300, 000 because she got a
- 4:00Speaker 2: lot of flack over the $ 30 million. But they got
- 4:02Speaker 2: all those documents. Let's see if they can find something there. Hey,
- 4:05Speaker 2: it turns out that in the Biden administration, Homeland Security
- 4:09Speaker 2: got tipped off that she had fudged her birth date
- 4:13Speaker 2: on documents and on a birth certificate. The Biden administration
- 4:17Speaker 2: apparently was tipped off to this. And, of course, immediately
- 4:23Speaker 2: did nothing. Absolutely nothing about it. All right. Kimberly Guilfoyle,
- 4:29Speaker 2: as you know, leaving as ambassador of Greece. There were
- 4:33Speaker 2: reports that she was very rough on the staff. The
- 4:37Speaker 2: Trump administration didn't like that. And then there was taking
- 4:42Speaker 2: free plane rides from billionaires and private jets. Well, you know,
- 4:45Speaker 2: that's every politician. That happens all the time. But it
- 4:50Speaker 2: looks like she was– the allegation is that she was
- 4:53Speaker 2: selling influence, telling people, you know, I'll get you– I
- 4:56Speaker 2: got a lot of influence. I'll get you what you
- 4:57Speaker 2: need from the Trump administration. You're not supposed to do that.
- 5:01Speaker 2: And then, of course, the final straw was this donor
- 5:04Speaker 2: who says she asked him to pay her $ 100, 000 American
- 5:08Speaker 2: Express bill and pushed him to do it. Now, here's
- 5:12Speaker 2: the other part. Now, listen to this. You know, she
- 5:16Speaker 2: used to be at Fox News. She was a big
- 5:18Speaker 2: deal at Fox News for a while. She was one
- 5:19Speaker 2: of the five, and that's the most watched show in
- 5:23Speaker 2: cable television. And then all of a sudden she was gone.
- 5:26Speaker 2: There were always stories there about her being a little
- 5:29Speaker 2: rough on the staff. But Kennedy, who's still at Fox News,
- 5:33Speaker 2: you know Kennedy, writes in the Daily Mail, I don't
- 5:37Speaker 2: know why she would write all this, but Kennedy writes
- 5:39Speaker 2: that while Guilfoyle was at Fox News, she showed her, Kennedy,
- 5:45Speaker 2: And some other friends, pictures that she had of men,
- 5:51Speaker 2: of their, shall we just say penis, penis pictures, or
- 5:56Speaker 2: as they're known out there in the world, dick pics.
- 6:00Speaker 2: She would show them off to people. Now, there are
- 6:02Speaker 2: guys that send these out, and if you're a guy
- 6:05Speaker 2: and you're listening to me, listen to me carefully. Don't
- 6:08Speaker 2: ever send a woman one of those pictures. Women find
- 6:11Speaker 2: them disgusting. If you're a man and a woman sent
- 6:15Speaker 2: you a Naked pictures, body parts, you get all excited. Women,
- 6:19Speaker 2: it's the opposite. They get all turned off by that.
- 6:22Speaker 2: It doesn't do anything. Do not send one of those
- 6:24Speaker 2: pictures ever to anybody. You want to get a woman
- 6:28Speaker 2: really turned on? Send her a picture of you with
- 6:30Speaker 2: a dog. Something like that. That will do the trick.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Do not send those dick pics. And how would you
- 6:37Speaker 2: even take one of those? You know, if I'm going
- 6:40Speaker 2: to take a selfie of my face, I get all self-conscious.
- 6:42Speaker 2: How the hell would you take one of those? But
- 6:44Speaker 2: now listen to this. Here's the interesting part. According to Kennedy,
- 6:49Speaker 2: now I know women that have showed those pictures often.
- 6:51Speaker 2: According to Kennedy, she not only showed the dick pic,
- 6:56Speaker 2: but she had pictures of the man's credit card front
- 7:00Speaker 2: and back. Now, if it was a black American Express card,
- 7:04Speaker 2: you know, that's a real high roller. But apparently she had,
- 7:08Speaker 2: for a couple of different men, she had pictures of
- 7:12Speaker 2: of their credit card matched with the dick pic. Now
- 7:19Speaker 2: that I've never heard of. And how do you get
- 7:21Speaker 2: a picture of the man's credit card? Does, does he
- 7:25Speaker 2: send it to you? I can't imagine that. Or do
- 7:28Speaker 2: you like alone in this house and you take the
- 7:30Speaker 2: credit card out and photograph the front and back? I
- 7:32Speaker 2: don't know, but this is pretty sick stuff. This is
- 7:35Speaker 2: real sick stuff. Now, I don't know why she would
- 7:37Speaker 2: print all this, but this is Kennedy writing this in
- 7:40Speaker 2: the daily mail. So far, no response from Kimberly Guilfoyle.
- 7:47Speaker 2: Kennedy goes on to say, Kimberly talked about sex so
- 7:51Speaker 2: cavalierly that she made Samantha from Sex and the City
- 7:55Speaker 2: seem like Greta Thunberg. All right, all right. Again, no
- 8:02Speaker 2: response yet. Kamala Harris speaking out. Now criticizing the Biden
- 8:09Speaker 2: administration for not acting more forcefully against Israel. Can you
- 8:15Speaker 2: imagine this? Kamala Harris saying they weren't tough enough on Israel.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Now she's going the anti-Semite route. She said they failed
- 8:23Speaker 2: to use U.S. leverage to curb Israel's military campaign in Gaza.
- 8:28Speaker 2: They should have done more. They should have acted more forcefully.
- 8:31Speaker 2: They should have used leverage to stop Israel. So apparently
- 8:35Speaker 2: Kamala thinks that's the road to the White House. Go anti-Semite.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Go anti-Israel. Hey, as far as Iran, there's two things. Now,
- 8:45Speaker 2: there's nothing going on in Iran. There's no war at
- 8:47Speaker 2: the moment. It's been on hold for about six weeks.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Nothing's happened in a month. But remember, we have the
- 8:54Speaker 2: midterms in 18 days. Midterm elections 18 days away. The
- 8:59Speaker 2: other thing you got to remember is Bibi Netanyahu is
- 9:01Speaker 2: up for re-election around the same time. So you've got
- 9:05Speaker 2: these two elections happening, the midterms here in America and
- 9:08Speaker 2: Netanyahu's election in Israel. It's not certain that Netanyahu will
- 9:14Speaker 2: get elected. There's a lot of opposition to him. And,
- 9:18Speaker 2: you know, there are a lot of Israeli citizens that
- 9:20Speaker 2: are living in the United States. Israel is calling on
- 9:23Speaker 2: them all to fly back and vote, especially the ones
- 9:27Speaker 2: Netanyahu wants, the Israeli citizens here in the U.S. that
- 9:30Speaker 2: support him. to run back and vote. A lot of
- 9:34Speaker 2: people have dual citizenship, but they want the Israeli citizens
- 9:38Speaker 2: to go back to Israel just to vote for Netanyahu.
- 9:42Speaker 2: I don't know if they're doing it, but there are
- 9:43Speaker 2: a lot of anti-Netanyahu Israeli citizens who are flying back
- 9:48Speaker 2: just to vote against him, so we'll see. But once
- 9:52Speaker 2: these two elections are over, no matter which way they go,
- 9:57Speaker 2: once the midterms are over, once Netanyahu's election is over, over,
- 10:00Speaker 2: even if they both lose, then they're free to do
- 10:03Speaker 2: whatever the hell they want. And it's expected that after
- 10:06Speaker 2: both elections are over, the war in Iran will not
- 10:10Speaker 2: just resume, but will go crazy. I mean, we will
- 10:14Speaker 2: apparently just annihilate entire government of Iran. We're even talking
- 10:20Speaker 2: about using those MOABs, the mother of all bombs. It's
- 10:24Speaker 2: the biggest bomb just short of a nuclear weapon. Netanyahu
- 10:28Speaker 2: would probably be turned loose to take out everything bad
- 10:33Speaker 2: in Iran. And the president here in the United States
- 10:37Speaker 2: has apparently asked for the war planners to draw up
- 10:41Speaker 2: what they call target packages that will be hit with
- 10:44Speaker 2: those MOAB bombs. So that could be coming uh now
- 10:49Speaker 2: here's the scariest thing this is much scarier than that
- 10:52Speaker 2: hillary clinton is now doing a podcast everybody in the
- 10:57Speaker 2: world has a podcast your dentist has a podcast everybody
- 11:01Speaker 2: has a podcast but uh the problem with a podcast
- 11:05Speaker 2: if you're not a professional is you got to fill
- 11:08Speaker 2: an hour now most people get a guest because most
- 11:10Speaker 2: people can't do a show by themselves they have to
- 11:12Speaker 2: have a guest there's some shows they gotta have 27
- 11:15Speaker 2: guests because they can't do the show If you just said, hey,
- 11:18Speaker 2: it's you for an hour, do the show. They couldn't
- 11:21Speaker 2: do 10 minutes. They got to have a guest every
- 11:23Speaker 2: second of their podcast. So the problem is Hillary has
- 11:30Speaker 2: got to keep talking about stuff. And she's like on
- 11:33Speaker 2: episode two and already running out of stuff. So she
- 11:36Speaker 2: started talking about, do you remember in 2016, 10 years ago,
- 11:39Speaker 2: there was the big ceremony. for 9-11 at the memorial,
- 11:46Speaker 2: the 9-11 ceremony, where all the presidents came, everybody was there.
- 11:51Speaker 2: And do you remember that Hillary passed out right there
- 11:55Speaker 2: at the ceremony? Now, you got all the presidents there.
- 11:58Speaker 2: You got all the security in the world. They have
- 12:00Speaker 2: an ambulance there. They have doctors there. They have military.
- 12:03Speaker 2: They have everything there. So she just passed out. And
- 12:10Speaker 2: she's trying to explain that. She said, well, I had
- 12:12Speaker 2: pneumonia and I was supposed to be, it was during
- 12:15Speaker 2: the campaign. They told me to rest because of my pneumonia,
- 12:19Speaker 2: but I didn't rest. I went to the ceremony and
- 12:21Speaker 2: that's why I passed out. It was absolutely nothing. Here's
- 12:26Speaker 2: the only problem with that story. I remember talking to top, top, top,
- 12:30Speaker 2: top police officials who were there and saw this whole thing.
- 12:34Speaker 2: And when she passed out, Her guys just picked her up,
- 12:38Speaker 2: threw her in the car, and drove away. Now, you
- 12:41Speaker 2: got an ambulance there. You got doctors there. You got
- 12:44Speaker 2: EMTs there. And they all offered, but they weren't interested.
- 12:49Speaker 2: If that were the case, if it was so unexpected
- 12:51Speaker 2: that she passed out, wouldn't you have let the doctors
- 12:53Speaker 2: take a look at her? The fact that they just
- 12:57Speaker 2: picked her up and threw her in the car, police
- 12:59Speaker 2: officials thought this was not unusual for them. They'd seen
- 13:02Speaker 2: this before. They weren't worried about it. Like she's been
- 13:05Speaker 2: having episodes before. So who knows? But avoid this podcast.
- 13:10Speaker 2: It's deadly, deadly, painfully boring. You remember the Michelle Obama podcast? Oh,
- 13:17Speaker 2: that was really painful trying to get through that. Hey,
- 13:23Speaker 2: now a lot of people looking at Jack Smith, that creepy, weirdo,
- 13:26Speaker 2: bug-eyed hitman, Jack Smith. Apparently, forget the stuff he did
- 13:31Speaker 2: to the president or the raid on Mar-a-Lago. Apparently, they
- 13:35Speaker 2: want a real serious investigation and possible prosecution of him
- 13:41Speaker 2: for collecting an obscene amount of data on private citizens.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Aside from Trump, he went after anything Republican, conservative. He
- 13:51Speaker 2: went after every group. He went after donors, almost 5,000 donors.
- 13:57Speaker 2: He collected their checks. He went after all their personal data.
- 14:02Speaker 2: That's unbelievable. 5,000 donors. For what reason? How could you
- 14:06Speaker 2: justify that? The fact that somebody made a political donation
- 14:10Speaker 2: means you're going to investigate them, collect all their private data.
- 14:15Speaker 2: So they're not done with Jack Smith. Jack Smith could
- 14:18Speaker 2: end up in real trouble as a result. Hey, we'll
- 14:21Speaker 2: take some calls next. 800-321-0710 is the number. Give me
- 14:24Speaker 2: a call, especially if you're a new caller. 800- 321-0710.
- 14:31Speaker 2: Get instant access.
- 14:35Speaker 3: To Mark by setting a preset in the iHeartRadio app
- 14:39Speaker 3: for his live show and his podcast.
- 14:41Speaker 4: Now back to the Mark Simone Show on WOR.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Hey, what's going on here? There's open lines. I got
- 14:50Speaker 2: a few open lines. Call me.
- 14:51Speaker 1: 800-321-0710. 800-321-0710.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Let's go to Let's go to Steve in Lindhurst. Steve,
- 15:02Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 15:03Speaker 5: Hey, Mike.
- 15:03Speaker 6: How you doing? Glad to talk to you. So remember
- 15:08Speaker 6: when they fired all those people for COVID, that black
- 15:11Speaker 6: lady on TV, she was a teacher, and Kathy Hobo
- 15:14Speaker 6: fired her. Bruce Blakeman should put her on TV and
- 15:18Speaker 6: everybody else who was fired and didn't get their jobs back.
- 15:21Speaker 3: All right.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a good point. She did the handling of
- 15:24Speaker 2: that whole pandemic, although really it was Cuomo at the
- 15:27Speaker 2: time that was the governor. Well, it was the Democrats, so,
- 15:31Speaker 2: you know. Yeah, so it wasn't Hochul. But thanks for calling.
- 15:34Speaker 2: No matter what you do, you could run a million commercials.
- 15:37Speaker 2: Everybody always, you know what you should have done? Why
- 15:39Speaker 2: don't you do this? You should have done this. You
- 15:41Speaker 2: can't do everything. You can't do everything. Hey, by the way,
- 15:45Speaker 2: Blakeman fundraising apparently is through the roof since the debate.
- 15:50Speaker 2: We'll get to that coming up. Let's go to David
- 15:53Speaker 2: in Queens. David, how you doing?
- 15:56Speaker 6: Hey, Mark.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Good morning.
- 15:57Speaker 7: Mark, have you noticed these local politicians have altered their
- 16:01Speaker 7: method of dress in order to appeal to the communists?
- 16:04Speaker 7: For instance, State Senator John Liu goes walking around with
- 16:08Speaker 7: these Havana shirts on to different events that Cuomo used
- 16:12Speaker 7: to wear. And this Jumaane Williams wears these beads that
- 16:16Speaker 7: my grandmother used to wear when she came over for
- 16:18Speaker 7: Sunday dinner.
- 16:19Speaker 2: I wonder if you.
- 16:19Speaker 8: Noticed this, Mark.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Yeah, some of them do do that. Yeah, you're right.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Cuomo did that. He wore.
- 16:25Speaker 2: It was the shirt Fredo wore in the Havana scene
- 16:28Speaker 2: in The Godfather. It was the shirt Lalo Salamanca wore
- 16:33Speaker 2: in Breaking Bad, that weird summer shirt. Let's go to
- 16:37Speaker 2: John in Hell's Kitchen. John, how are you doing? Hello, Mark.
- 16:41Speaker 8: How are you?
- 16:42Speaker 1: Good.
- 16:44Speaker 8: I was wondering, since you're a guy that knows really
- 16:48Speaker 8: good restaurants, what would be the top five restaurants in
- 16:53Speaker 8: New York?
- 16:53Speaker 2: Oh, you can't do that. It's a hundred-way tie. There
- 16:55Speaker 2: are no top five. I mean, technically, technically, the number
- 16:58Speaker 2: one would be, per se, La Bernardine. Mazza, but you
- 17:03Speaker 2: don't want to eat there. La Bernardina is very good.
- 17:05Speaker 8: What about one that would be reasonable, where you don't
- 17:09Speaker 8: have to mortgage your left leg or something?
- 17:12Speaker 2: There's a million great restaurants. Let's just look around. Let's
- 17:16Speaker 2: look around this block where we are. Oh, up there,
- 17:19Speaker 2: 7th Avenue, Trattoria dell'Arte, very fine restaurant.
- 17:23Speaker 8: Okay, okay, okay. See, that's the one near Carnegie Hall.
- 17:27Speaker 2: Right across from Carnegie Hall. That's a great restaurant, Italian restaurant.
- 17:31Speaker 8: Okay, because I know you're always talking about restaurants and stuff,
- 17:35Speaker 8: and I don't know, now that I'm getting older, I
- 17:39Speaker 8: remember restaurants from, you know, Gino's. Remember Gino's?
- 17:44Speaker 2: Yeah, Gino's was okay. It wasn't, it was okay.
- 17:47Speaker 8: You didn't like Gino's?
- 17:48Speaker 2: Yeah, it was like a really old, old, old school Italian.
- 17:52Speaker 2: You had to pay cash, right?
- 17:54Speaker 8: Yeah, the food was good, though.
- 17:56Speaker 2: It was good. It was good. Trattoria Del Arte, right
- 17:58Speaker 2: up the block. It's much better.
- 17:59Speaker 1: All right.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Much better. Much better. Let's go to Greg in Florida. Greg,
- 18:04Speaker 2: how are you doing?
- 18:05Speaker 1: Good morning, Mark.
- 18:06Speaker 4: How are you?
- 18:07Speaker 2: I'm good.
- 18:07Speaker 4: All right.
- 18:08Speaker 3: Good. All right.
- 18:11Speaker 4: You said something about the kids being involved with their
- 18:14Speaker 4: phones and everything else and whatnot. Recently, I saw a
- 18:18Speaker 4: child psychologist on that. on TV, and she was all
- 18:22Speaker 4: worried about scaring the children at Halloween and all of
- 18:26Speaker 4: this stuff. And then I thought about it, and I said,
- 18:28Speaker 4: you know, this all started with Dr. Spock years ago.
- 18:31Speaker 4: These kids are way, way, way too soft. We grew up,
- 18:35Speaker 4: you know, drinking water out of hoses, riding bikes without helmets.
- 18:40Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying? This is just, you know,
- 18:42Speaker 4: coddling these kids.
- 18:44Speaker 3: What do you think?
- 18:45Speaker 2: Well, that's true. But remember, when you were a kid...
- 18:48Speaker 2: No helmet, drinking out of hoses. Your parents told you
- 18:51Speaker 2: you were soft. You hadn't been through the depression. You
- 18:53Speaker 2: didn't know what it was like. They were always doing that.
- 18:57Speaker 2: So every generation, this generation when they get old will
- 19:00Speaker 2: think their kids are soft. Hey, by the way, you know,
- 19:04Speaker 2: I have dry eye. So I go to the eye doctor.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Everybody has dry eye, you know, which means you got
- 19:09Speaker 2: to put eye drops in all the time. You probably
- 19:10Speaker 2: had this. So I've been talking to all these eye doctors.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Apparently it's caused by the phone, by your iPhone. Because
- 19:16Speaker 2: you're looking at your phone for many hours a day.
- 19:19Speaker 2: And apparently when you don't look at the phone, you
- 19:22Speaker 2: don't blink. You just stare at it and don't blink.
- 19:25Speaker 2: And not blinking causes the dry eye. So I've been
- 19:29Speaker 2: teaching myself when I look at the phone to keep
- 19:31Speaker 2: blinking all the time. Just blink a lot. You're always
- 19:34Speaker 2: looking at your phone or computer screen. Blink every few seconds.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Just blink a lot. It gets rid of the dry eye.
- 19:42Speaker 2: You'll save yourself a fortune on all those uh eye
- 19:45Speaker 2: drops let's go to sandy in new jersey sandy how you.
- 19:48Speaker 5: Doing fine how you doing mark oh i'm good i'm good.
- 19:51Speaker 2: You gotta slow down a little i'm not uh i'm
- 19:53Speaker 2: still half asleep i'm not used to being up this
- 19:54Speaker 2: early but go ahead i.
- 19:56Speaker 5: Know i noticed you come kind of like oh go
- 19:58Speaker 5: another hour anyway the reason i called is i'm just
- 20:02Speaker 5: reading in the new york.
- 20:02Speaker 2: You always talk this fast it's very fast how does
- 20:04Speaker 2: anybody keep.
- 20:05Speaker 5: Up with you Okay, I'll slow down. I said I
- 20:08Speaker 5: was just reading.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Yeah, you were just reading.
- 20:12Speaker 5: I'm talking too fast again?
- 20:13Speaker 2: You're a little fast. Slow down.
- 20:15Speaker 5: Yeah, I know. I always talk fast.
- 20:16Speaker 2: How many cups of coffee did you have today?
- 20:18Speaker 5: I've only started my first cup.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Okay.
- 20:22Speaker 5: Anyway, I said I was just reading in the New
- 20:24Speaker 5: York Post that I'm a registered voter in the 17th
- 20:29Speaker 5: district in New York State, Mike Lawler's district. And apparently
- 20:33Speaker 5: there was a meeting, like all the candidates did, And
- 20:35Speaker 5: Kay Conley was there, and she said, agreed that Kathy
- 20:40Speaker 5: Hochul needs to go. Kay Conley is the Democratic candidate.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Well, yeah, but you've got to remember, a lot of
- 20:45Speaker 2: these Democratic socialists, the real left-wingers, hate Hochul.
- 20:49Speaker 3: They don't trust her.
- 20:49Speaker 5: Yeah, I know, but I don't think Kay Conley is
- 20:51Speaker 5: a socialist. She's kind of like, is keeping a low profile.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, but the left-wing, the real Democrats hate
- 20:56Speaker 2: Kathy Hochul. They just think she's a bird brain.
- 20:58Speaker 5: Yeah, so what do you think? You think Bruce Blakeman's
- 21:00Speaker 5: got a shot at it?
- 21:01Speaker 2: No, I think he's got a big shot at it.
- 21:03Speaker 2: I think he's going to win. You see how much
- 21:05Speaker 2: better you sound slow?
- 21:08Speaker 5: Well, I think I'm also a little nervous.
- 21:10Speaker 2: Oh, don't be nervous.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:12Speaker 5: But this is, like I said, I listen to you
- 21:14Speaker 5: every morning. And I just really like listening to your show.
- 21:18Speaker 5: You're really great. And, you know, catch you on TV
- 21:20Speaker 5: when you do.
- 21:21Speaker 2: You got TV now. Look at this. Wow. All right. Well,
- 21:25Speaker 2: thanks for calling. Call us again. Let's go to Chris
- 21:28Speaker 2: in Bethpage. Chris, how you doing?
- 21:31Speaker 1: Hey, Mark, love your show. Listen, all kidding aside, say
- 21:37Speaker 1: the Dems win the House, okay, and the Republicans retain
- 21:41Speaker 1: the Senate, okay? And everyone's predicting all they're going to
- 21:44Speaker 1: do is just put Trump through impeachment. There's going to
- 21:47Speaker 1: be all these hearings. But seriously, what is their plan?
- 21:52Speaker 1: Does anyone know? To bring down gas prices. And what
- 21:55Speaker 1: are they going to do?
- 21:55Speaker 2: Well, they don't want to bring it.
- 21:57Speaker 1: No, no.
- 21:57Speaker 2: Democrats always bring them up. They like to bring them up.
- 21:59Speaker 2: In fact, if it were up to the Democrats, it
- 22:01Speaker 2: would be $ 10 a gallon because they want to push
- 22:03Speaker 2: everybody to electric cars. They always get the gas prices
- 22:06Speaker 2: as high as they can get them.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Always. But they're running on affordability. They're running on affordability.
- 22:12Speaker 2: I know.
- 22:12Speaker 1: How are they going to make things more affordable?
- 22:14Speaker 2: They're not. They're not. It's the last thing they want
- 22:16Speaker 2: to do. No, they never do that. I know. They'll
- 22:18Speaker 2: run on whatever sounds good. They run on whatever you
- 22:20Speaker 2: want to hear. And then when they get in office,
- 22:22Speaker 2: they go right back to the regular Democratic plan, which
- 22:24Speaker 2: is green energy, gets you to stop driving gas cars,
- 22:29Speaker 2: get you to stop using gas. And again, with Democrats,
- 22:33Speaker 2: it's always $ 10 a gallon. That's always their goal. Hey,
- 22:36Speaker 2: coming up next, we have a great guest. Anybody have
- 22:40Speaker 2: any idea who it is? Do we have a guest? Oh,
- 22:44Speaker 2: you're kidding. Oh, okay. See, it really is a great guest.
- 22:47Speaker 2: It's Howie Carr. Somebody canceled that we were like scrambling
- 22:51Speaker 2: for another guest. The great Howie Carr will be with
- 22:53Speaker 2: us next on 710WOR. The Mark Simone Show. Nine till
- 22:59Speaker 2: noon weekdays. 710WOR. Well, one of the great talk show
- 23:06Speaker 2: hosts in America, Howie Carr. You should listen to him.
- 23:09Speaker 2: He's on iHeart. You can get his show there, his podcast.
- 23:12Speaker 2: You get his books. His latest book is Mass Corruption,
- 23:15Speaker 2: Volume 2. You can get everything at his website. Just
- 23:18Speaker 2: go to HowieCarrShow.com. HowieCarrShow.com. Howie Carr, how are you doing?
- 23:26Speaker 3: Very good, Mark. We just had our final debate in
- 23:29Speaker 3: Massachusetts for Governor Mara Healy versus Mike Minogue. And, you know,
- 23:34Speaker 3: she bragged four years ago about how she stopped two
- 23:37Speaker 3: natural gas pipelines. And last night she did everything but
- 23:41Speaker 3: put on a 10-gallon cowboy hat and speak in a,
- 23:43Speaker 3: you She said about eight times how much she loved
- 23:48Speaker 3: natural gas and wants to bring it into the state.
- 23:52Speaker 3: I don't know when she was lying, last night or
- 23:54Speaker 3: in 2022, when she was bragging about stopping the natural
- 23:57Speaker 3: gas pipelines. But, you know, there's been a lot of
- 23:59Speaker 3: that going around nationwide, hasn't there? People, Democrats kind of
- 24:04Speaker 3: backing away from their previous positions.
- 24:07Speaker 2: Well, you know, like somebody was just saying, they're running
- 24:09Speaker 2: on affordability, these Democrats. You know, when they get in,
- 24:12Speaker 2: they're going to drive the price of gas up and
- 24:13Speaker 2: nothing's going to be affordable. So they'll just say anything
- 24:17Speaker 2: to get elected.
- 24:19Speaker 3: I thought they were happy that they were saying it's
- 24:21Speaker 3: not a big deal. When, when Biden had the price
- 24:24Speaker 3: of a gallon of gasoline up higher than it is now,
- 24:29Speaker 3: four years ago, over $ 5 a gallon, that was a,
- 24:32Speaker 3: it was a good thing because it was going to
- 24:33Speaker 3: get all the MAGA people in the deplorables out of
- 24:35Speaker 3: their nasty fossil fuel, internal combustion motor vehicles.
- 24:40Speaker 8: Right.
- 24:41Speaker 3: I mean, it was a good thing. Now it's, now
- 24:42Speaker 3: it's the end of the world.
- 24:44Speaker 2: Yeah. But the, the, They'll say whatever they got to say.
- 24:48Speaker 2: But when they get in office, they'll close down refineries,
- 24:50Speaker 2: shut down pipelines, stop drilling. They'll do everything to drive
- 24:53Speaker 2: the price of gas up. But, hey, this great candidate
- 24:58Speaker 2: we have for governor, Bruce Blakeman, he had a great
- 25:00Speaker 2: debate against Hochul. If he wins New York, what does
- 25:04Speaker 2: that mean for the Democrats to lose the state house
- 25:09Speaker 2: of New York state?
- 25:11Speaker 3: Well, for one thing, I mean, it would mean that
- 25:14Speaker 3: they couldn't get any more of these nutty bills through.
- 25:16Speaker 3: I mean, he could veto them, right? I mean, theoretically,
- 25:20Speaker 3: I mean, they could override the veto. But, I mean,
- 25:23Speaker 3: things didn't really get out of control in New York
- 25:25Speaker 3: State until they lost control of the Senate. You know,
- 25:28Speaker 3: they needed– Americans, taxpayers needed to have, you know, one control,
- 25:34Speaker 3: a lever. And, you know, whether it was the assembly
- 25:38Speaker 3: or the Senate or the governorship, and then when they
- 25:40Speaker 3: lost all of them, that's when, that's when everything went insane.
- 25:44Speaker 3: You know, they got to get one of them back.
- 25:46Speaker 3: You know, don't you think if, if it were like
- 25:49Speaker 3: a 2004, 2008, you know, whatever, you know, whatever Pataki
- 25:53Speaker 3: was elected, if you had that same electorate today, Blakeman
- 25:57Speaker 3: would be running away with it.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Wouldn't he? Yeah. So, but what happened to the electorate?
- 26:01Speaker 2: Same thing in Massachusetts.
- 26:03Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly. See, I asked everywhere in the Northeast. It's,
- 26:07Speaker 3: it's just, it's totally gone. You know, I, I, I
- 26:10Speaker 3: had Susan Collins on from Maine, you know, cause I'm
- 26:12Speaker 3: up in, I'm up at Maine, all those stations. And
- 26:16Speaker 3: I had her on, I think, uh, you know, three,
- 26:18Speaker 3: four weeks ago in, in Maine. And, and she said
- 26:21Speaker 3: until McCormick was elected in, uh, in Pennsylvania in 2024, uh,
- 26:28Speaker 3: It wasn't just New England. There was no Republican senators
- 26:32Speaker 3: other than her in the whole Northeast. You had to
- 26:36Speaker 3: go down to, like, North Carolina or West Virginia to
- 26:39Speaker 3: find somebody.
- 26:42Speaker 2: Explain this to me again. What happened to New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine?
- 26:45Speaker 2: They all became left-wing. Where did all these Democrats come
- 26:47Speaker 2: from up there?
- 26:49Speaker 3: Well, I think they.
- 26:52Speaker 3: I think they came from New York is mostly what happened.
- 26:56Speaker 3: Come on, let's be honest. They may knock off the
- 27:03Speaker 3: Rhino governor of Vermont this year. They got some blow-in
- 27:06Speaker 3: from parts unknown, these women. She's going to knock off
- 27:10Speaker 3: Phil Scott. It's not a terrible tragedy for the Republican Party.
- 27:14Speaker 3: He was a COVID autocrat or totalitarian, but still, I'm
- 27:20Speaker 3: sure as bad as he is, he's better than whatever
- 27:24Speaker 3: she will be. I don't know. I think people have
- 27:28Speaker 3: just fled the states. It is about affordability. That was
- 27:33Speaker 3: a big thing in the governor's debate last night in Massachusetts.
- 27:38Speaker 3: In the first debate, Mara Healy had, you know, had a,
- 27:42Speaker 3: you know, she'd committed a gaffe, you know, random, inadvertently
- 27:47Speaker 3: telling the truth. She said, Massachusetts is a great state
- 27:50Speaker 3: to live in if you can afford it.
- 27:54Speaker 2: So, hey, Howie Carr, your protege, Caroline Leavitt became the
- 27:59Speaker 2: press secretary. She's very young. I mean, just a kid
- 28:02Speaker 2: and was fine. What a great job she did. Now
- 28:06Speaker 2: you've got a 41-year-old woman, Katie Zakaria, who looks so shaky.
- 28:09Speaker 2: What do you think her future is?
- 28:12Speaker 3: I don't know. I mean, you know, I remember Stephanie Grisham,
- 28:15Speaker 3: that woman that never had a press conference. I met
- 28:18Speaker 3: her one time over here in West Palm Beach, and
- 28:21Speaker 3: she was terrible. You know, this woman is going to
- 28:24Speaker 3: be better than Stephanie Grisham for sure. But, you know,
- 28:27Speaker 3: I noticed, though, again, the double standard here is amazing that,
- 28:33Speaker 3: you know, she's getting all this crap. She went to
- 28:35Speaker 3: law school, but she never could pass the bar exam. And,
- 28:38Speaker 3: you know, and I'm not defending her for saying that
- 28:40Speaker 3: she was, she, you know, claiming to be a lawyer, but,
- 28:43Speaker 3: but how is this any different than the Egyptian in
- 28:46Speaker 3: El Said in, in, in Michigan, you know, saying over
- 28:51Speaker 3: and over again that he was a physician. He's, he's
- 28:53Speaker 3: not a physician. He went to medical school, but he
- 28:56Speaker 3: never passed the, the, the medical exam. And he's, and he,
- 29:02Speaker 3: You know, as Roger said, if he tried to prescribe
- 29:05Speaker 3: you medication, he'd be arrested. But, you know, they just
- 29:11Speaker 3: look the other way. Oh, well, he did go to
- 29:13Speaker 3: medical school. You know what, Zachary, she did go to
- 29:16Speaker 3: law school. You know, and plenty of these Democrats, didn't
- 29:19Speaker 3: Hillary Clinton flunk the bar exam once?
- 29:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:23Speaker 3: I know our former governor, Deval Patrick, our former lieutenant governor,
- 29:27Speaker 3: Tim Burke, a lawyer. I think Democrats have a much
- 29:30Speaker 3: higher rate of failure of the bar exam than Republicans.
- 29:34Speaker 3: Zachariah is just trying to catch up the Republicans. That's all.
- 29:37Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey, um, um, but she was a little shaky
- 29:42Speaker 2: but uh it was too quick she was only there
- 29:44Speaker 2: like one day and did a briefing you should have
- 29:46Speaker 2: given her a week or two to prepare.
- 29:48Speaker 3: Well you know she she also you know despite being
- 29:50Speaker 3: older than uh than caroline i mean you know caroline
- 29:54Speaker 3: did go through a baptism of fire i mean they
- 29:57Speaker 3: they spent $ 20 million when she was running for Congress. First,
- 30:01Speaker 3: the Republicans, you know, with Speaker McCarthy and his guys
- 30:06Speaker 3: tried to knock her out of the primary. And then
- 30:07Speaker 3: Chris Pappas spent another $ 10 million knocking her around. And,
- 30:11Speaker 3: you know, she had a lot of scars. She was
- 30:16Speaker 3: a veteran of political combat despite her tender age.
- 30:20Speaker 2: Well, that's a good point. She got through a campaign,
- 30:23Speaker 2: a debate. Yeah, that's a good point. That's good training.
- 30:26Speaker 2: So you're down in Palm Beach. The president is coming
- 30:28Speaker 2: there tonight. It'll be his first weekend in Palm Beach
- 30:32Speaker 2: for the season. What do you think?
- 30:34Speaker 3: Oh, that's great. I didn't even know that. That means
- 30:38Speaker 3: the planes will be flying directly over my pool starting
- 30:44Speaker 3: tomorrow morning. They direct them. I mean, Mar-a-Lago is still
- 30:49Speaker 3: not open until Halloween, so he's going to. to be
- 30:52Speaker 3: there by himself. I mean, I'm sure the kitchen will
- 30:55Speaker 3: be open for him and all that, but the big
- 30:59Speaker 3: dining room is not open until the end of the month.
- 31:02Speaker 2: Oh, but tomorrow night, apparently, or actually, I think it's tonight,
- 31:05Speaker 2: or tomorrow night, they're having this big dinner, big RNC
- 31:08Speaker 2: dinner there, so it'll be open for that. But Mar-a-Lago,
- 31:11Speaker 2: it's the best when it's not open, because then you
- 31:13Speaker 2: don't have all those old ladies chasing them around the room.
- 31:16Speaker 2: You know, that, how are you, that crowd chasing them around.
- 31:20Speaker 3: Yeah, no, it's pretty nice down here with the out
- 31:22Speaker 3: of season. You know, it's easier to get a reservation.
- 31:26Speaker 3: You know, you don't have to worry about being run
- 31:28Speaker 3: over as you're crossing the street by some 90-year-old who
- 31:33Speaker 3: came down on a private jet and then an ambulance
- 31:36Speaker 3: from the airport over the Donald J. Trump airport to
- 31:40Speaker 3: the island.
- 31:41Speaker 2: So, yeah, apparently there are a lot of left-wingers who actually,
- 31:45Speaker 2: they have to go to Palm Beach, but they'll fly
- 31:46Speaker 2: to another airport. They'll go to Fort Lauderdale in Miami.
- 31:49Speaker 2: They will not land at anything called Donald J. Trump Airport.
- 31:53Speaker 3: I've heard those rumors, Mark. I hope it's true because,
- 31:57Speaker 3: you know, I always like less congestion at the airport,
- 32:02Speaker 3: you know, especially those kind of people that are going
- 32:05Speaker 3: to be angry about that. Those are not the kind
- 32:07Speaker 3: of people you want to deal with under any circumstances.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Well, Howie Carr, always great. He's got a new book out,
- 32:14Speaker 2: Mass Corruption 2. Tell everybody about the book because there's
- 32:17Speaker 2: a lot of great stuff in there. Right.
- 32:20Speaker 3: It's about corruption in Massachusetts, and there's a lot of it,
- 32:23Speaker 3: and it continues to go on. It was, again, the
- 32:26Speaker 3: subject of the debate. One of the governor's top aides
- 32:30Speaker 3: was arrested shipping 18 pounds of cocaine to her office
- 32:35Speaker 3: in Springfield. I've got all that stuff. Right now, I'm
- 32:39Speaker 3: off Amazon. It's a long, complicated story.
- 32:42Speaker 1: No.
- 32:43Speaker 3: But you can order the book at HowieCarrShow.com. And you
- 32:47Speaker 3: get an autographed copy. Just order it. It's a good book.
- 32:52Speaker 3: Mass Corruption Volume 2 or Mass Corruption Volume 1. And
- 32:55Speaker 3: you can get the Kennedy Babylon books about the Kennedy
- 32:57Speaker 3: family if you wanted some nostalgia. Some Democrat scandal nostalgia. Kennedy,
- 33:03Speaker 3: those are my books. HowieCarrShow.com. Click on store.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Yeah, the Kennedy books are excellent. And if you're looking
- 33:09Speaker 2: for some holiday gifts... Get those books. They're great. HowieCarrShow.com.
- 33:14Speaker 2: And you can also, besides the books, you can get
- 33:16Speaker 2: a show, his podcast. Everything is at the website. Howie
- 33:19Speaker 2: Carr Show. The iHeart app.
- 33:21Speaker 3: The iHeart app. I'm on the iHeart app starting 2
- 33:23Speaker 3: to 6 every afternoon.
- 33:25Speaker 2: Yeah. And you can listen anytime, too. You can get
- 33:26Speaker 2: the podcast. Just go to the iHeart app. But check
- 33:29Speaker 2: out the website. You can get the books there. HowieCarrShow.com.
- 33:33Speaker 2: Howie Carr, thanks for being with us. Thanks, Mark.
- 33:36Speaker 3: Have a good weekend.
- 33:37Speaker 1: Bye-bye.
- 33:37Speaker 2: Take care. And don't forget, coming up at noon, Buck Saxon,
- 33:40Speaker 2: Clay Travis. That's a great show every day. And then
- 33:43Speaker 2: the most listened to radio show in America, Sean Hannity.
- 33:46Speaker 2: Did that tough interview last night with Katie Zakaria. And
- 33:50Speaker 2: then at 6 o'clock, you got Jesse Kelly, the very
- 33:56Speaker 2: funny Jimmy Fallon show. Take a listen to this. It's funny.
- 33:58Speaker 2: It's interesting. It's every night, 9 to midnight. on 710WOR.
- 34:04Speaker 1: The Mark Simone Show, live from the WOR LifeVac studios.
- 34:11Speaker 2: Hey, we got a lot to get to. One more
- 34:14Speaker 2: hour to go. It's three hours every day now. Nine
- 34:16Speaker 2: to noon every day, right here on 710WOR.
