- 0:00Speaker 1: To go to God in prayer, and as always I
- 0:03Speaker 1: ask that you join along with me in prayer. And
- 0:06Speaker 1: as a mom of adult children, oftentimes I'm up and
- 0:10Speaker 1: I'm praying for my children, on warfare for my children,
- 0:13Speaker 1: and I'm concerned about them and the things that they're
- 0:16Speaker 1: going through, are the needs that they have, and my
- 0:18Speaker 1: heart is heavy, y'all from my babies. And then yesterday
- 0:22Speaker 1: I ran into a mom. This is my second time
- 0:24Speaker 1: incountering her with a child with disability, and she was
- 0:28Speaker 1: an older mom and with an adult son with disability.
- 0:31Speaker 1: And my heart broke for that mom. And today that's
- 0:34Speaker 1: what I want to pray about. Heavenly Father, we come
- 0:36Speaker 1: before you today with hearts lifted, minds humbled in spirits
- 0:41Speaker 1: yearning for your presence. Lord, you are the god of generations,
- 0:45Speaker 1: the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and we thank
- 0:49Speaker 1: you that your love and your mercy extends from parents
- 0:52Speaker 1: to children, from children to children's children. And Father, we
- 0:55Speaker 1: lift up our adult children before you right now. You
- 0:59Speaker 1: know the ruggles they're facing God, the choices they have
- 1:02Speaker 1: to make, and the burdens that sometimes feel too heavy
- 1:05Speaker 1: to carry. Some are battling identity and purpose some are
- 1:09Speaker 1: navigating relationships and careers. Some are fighting silent wars with anxiety, depression, addiction,
- 1:16Speaker 1: or loneliness. Lord, in those places where parents can no
- 1:19Speaker 1: longer intervene or protect, we ask you to stretch forth
- 1:24Speaker 1: your mighty hand. Be their counsel of God. When confusion arises,
- 1:28Speaker 1: be their shield, Win's temptation comes. Be their anchor. When
- 1:31Speaker 1: the storms of life threaten to sweep them away. Father,
- 1:34Speaker 1: remind them of the seeds that were sown in them,
- 1:37Speaker 1: and let them not depart from your truth. Lord. We
- 1:41Speaker 1: also pray for parents who are raising children with disabilities. Lord,
- 1:45Speaker 1: you see the sacrifice. Lord, you see the tears that
- 1:48Speaker 1: are shed in secret, their prayers whispered in the night,
- 1:51Speaker 1: and the questions they carry in their hearts. Remind them
- 1:55Speaker 1: that their children are not accidents, but divine creations, fearfully
- 1:59Speaker 1: and wonderfully made and your image. Give parents endurance when
- 2:02Speaker 1: exhaustion sets in. Give them compassion God when frustration tries
- 2:07Speaker 1: to creep in. Enjoy God in the small victories that
- 2:10Speaker 1: others may overlook. Surround those families with communities of love
- 2:15Speaker 1: and support, and let your strength be perfected in their weakness. God,
- 2:20Speaker 1: we acknowledge the many dynamics that touch our families. Some
- 2:23Speaker 1: are dealing with broken relationships, some are dealing with financial straine,
- 2:28Speaker 1: some with generational woulds that need healing. But we know
- 2:31Speaker 1: nothing God is too hard for you. Lord. Bring restoration
- 2:35Speaker 1: where there is division, bring hope where there is despair,
- 2:38Speaker 1: Bring peace where there is chaos, And remind us all
- 2:42Speaker 1: that you are the center. When you're in the middle,
- 2:45Speaker 1: healing can flow, love can flourish, and hope can rise again. Father,
- 2:49Speaker 1: We place our adult children into your hands, where your
- 2:52Speaker 1: hands are strong enough to hold them and gentle enough
- 2:55Speaker 1: to God. We place every parent, every child, every family
- 2:59Speaker 1: into your care, knowing God that you are faithful to
- 3:02Speaker 1: watch over what we entrust to Lord, today and every day.
- 3:06Speaker 1: For be our strength, be our wisdom, be ours. We
- 3:11Speaker 1: declare that no weapon formed against our families will be
- 3:14Speaker 1: able to prosper. We declare that our children will rise
- 3:17Speaker 1: up and call you bless God. We declare that every
- 3:21Speaker 1: family represent it will be a testimony of your love,
