King David Was Denied the Temple | God Can Say No To Good Intentions
SUNDAY SPECIAL - When God Says No to Something You Really Want
Main Scriptures: 2 Samuel 7:1–17 and 1 Chronicles 22:6–10
David wants to build a temple for God, but God tells him that he will not be the one to build it. That responsibility will belong to his son. David's desire is not presented as wicked. Yet the work he wants to do will be completed by someone else.
A good desire does not guarantee that you will be the person who fulfils it. Explore disappointment, unanswered prayers, changing plans, and learning to serve faithfully even when someone else completes the work you hoped to do…
