- 0:31Speaker 1: describe it, a cloud of joy. I don't know if
- 0:34Speaker 1: cloud actually works there, but a bundle of joy, A
- 0:38Speaker 1: bright light in our Bachelor World contestant from Zach Season
- 0:42Speaker 1: and Bachelor and Paradise contestant Mercedes Northup.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Thanks for being back with us.

- 1:27Speaker 1: Hilton Head, South Carolina, Cape Cod, Massachusetts, San Diego, Portavarda.
- 1:32Speaker 1: And I think today we're having this wonderful conversation about
- 1:37Speaker 1: future love that I believe we're going to find you, Mercedes,
- 1:40Speaker 1: in the most beautiful house, in the most beautiful setting
- 1:44Speaker 1: I've been in in a long time. Mercedes, Yes, play
- 1:49Speaker 1: little game today with you. Okay, ready, You're going to
- 1:51Speaker 1: answer these questions for yourself, not for your future.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Guy pal.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Obviously, we talked about you being on Zaz season. That's
- 2:00Speaker 1: how we know you were on Bachelor in Paradise. Yep,
- 2:03Speaker 1: you are still single. When we caught up last time,
- 2:08Speaker 1: kind of about dating. Dating was a little bit slow.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Yep, very still slow.
- 2:14Speaker 2: It's kind of shocking to me.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Yeah, it's I'll be honest, it's very confusing. So at
- 2:22Speaker 1: Generous Coffee, the company operate. We just not on purpose
- 2:27Speaker 1: or for whatever reason. We just hired a bunch of
- 2:29Speaker 1: like really great twenty five to thirty year old like women.
- 2:34Speaker 1: At the beginning, there were people I knew or friends
- 2:36Speaker 1: of friends or you know, daughters of friends of my families.
- 2:40Speaker 2: And all of these women were single.
- 2:43Speaker 1: And I've sat with him so many times in the
- 2:45Speaker 1: midst of these conversations about future love and wanting to
- 2:49Speaker 1: find a partner, and now, you know, seven years in,
- 2:52Speaker 1: some of them have found that. But it's shocking to
- 2:55Speaker 1: me always that people like you are single and that
- 3:01Speaker 1: like you don't have people knocking down your door.
- 3:04Speaker 2: I don't get it. I really don't understand it.
- 3:07Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I mean I don't know. I just feel
- 3:10Speaker 3: like the like dating today is just like awful, and
- 3:13Speaker 3: so I kind of I wouldn't say give up, Like
- 3:15Speaker 3: that's not the right word, because like I'm still very
- 3:17Speaker 3: open like if someone like I've gone on random dates,
- 3:20Speaker 3: but I feel like, I don't know, it's just like
- 3:23Speaker 3: my generation of dating is just like insane.
- 3:26Speaker 2: What are you running into?
- 3:28Speaker 3: Well, I live in Nashville, Yeah, and the dating scene
- 3:31Speaker 3: there is horrific, Like I feel like, Okay, the way
- 3:35Speaker 3: I explain it is Nashville obviously a ton of people
- 3:38Speaker 3: come and visit, like every single weekend there's a new
- 3:41Speaker 3: and like girls come and they're like their best you
- 3:44Speaker 3: know what I'm saying, like they have the new clothes
- 3:46Speaker 3: and the out and like people are going there and
- 3:49Speaker 3: like whatever. So the men that live there, I feel
- 3:51Speaker 3: like they have like just this constant flow of like
- 3:55Speaker 3: women coming in. So a lot of guys there are
- 3:57Speaker 3: not wanting to like settle down where they're like very
- 4:00Speaker 3: much just like having fun in there, like you know,
- 4:03Speaker 3: going out and doing all that stuff. So I feel
- 4:06Speaker 3: like because of that, it's really really hard to find
- 4:08Speaker 3: someone who's like genuinely looking to settle down in Nashville.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Does that make sense, Yeah, it does make sense. I
- 4:16Speaker 1: want to I just kind of want to talk to
- 4:18Speaker 1: you like a friend, Okay for a second. Yeah, Like
- 4:21Speaker 1: do you feel like the like it's kind of the
- 4:23Speaker 1: grass is greener? Like you're beautiful, you're sweet, you're kind,
- 4:27Speaker 1: you're joyful. Like if the right guy who's really wanting
- 4:31Speaker 1: to find like a companion and a person to share
- 4:33Speaker 1: life with.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Mm hm, who's serious about that would look at you?
- 4:37Speaker 1: I think on any day be like goodness, I'm lucky,
- 4:39Speaker 1: like I I found it. Yeah, but I do think
- 4:42Speaker 1: you're you're touching something that so many people are feeling
- 4:44Speaker 1: there are living in these cities that are transient and
- 4:47Speaker 1: focused around the bachelor parties and the Bachelorette parties and
- 4:50Speaker 1: the scenes downtown. That it's not like guys are looking
- 4:55Speaker 1: at you and be like, yeah, I'm not interested. It's
- 4:57Speaker 1: just that they're they're not slowing down for a second
- 4:59Speaker 1: to think, Wait, I might have found the person I
- 5:01Speaker 1: could be with, because tomorrow night I'm having fun going
- 5:04Speaker 1: back out to some pool party and I'm going to
- 5:06Speaker 1: be with this new girl. Yeah, and I do think
- 5:08Speaker 1: I'm running into that as I talk to my friends
- 5:10Speaker 1: about dating. It's it's just just like inability to just
- 5:14Speaker 1: say life needs to slow down so I can commit
- 5:17Speaker 1: to something.
- 5:18Speaker 3: Yeah, no, for sure. I definitely think that's like one
- 5:21Speaker 3: of our biggest like downfalls in my generation in dating
- 5:24Speaker 3: is like it's just like the fast life and especially
- 5:26Speaker 3: social media and dating apps. Like I think it literally
- 5:29Speaker 3: has which dating apps like they're amazing. I know, like
- 5:32Speaker 3: people have met people and whatever. But I feel like
- 5:35Speaker 3: because of that, it's just yeah, you just you just
- 5:38Speaker 3: are fast like all the time, like there's something new
- 5:41Speaker 3: to look forward to, and a lot of people don't
- 5:42Speaker 3: like slow down and be like okay, wait, like you're amazing,
- 5:45Speaker 3: Like I you know, like, let's like see this out.
- 5:49Speaker 3: It's hard.
- 5:50Speaker 1: You kind of want to, like for me, and I've
- 5:52Speaker 1: been in that world. I mean I have, I've I've
- 5:54Speaker 1: come off the show and we you know, I had
- 5:56Speaker 1: the breakup and dated and it was fun and is it.
- 6:00Speaker 1: It was exciting. And I remember telling my wife this
- 6:03Speaker 1: right before we got married. So excited to marry my wife.
- 6:06Speaker 1: But I was like, it's going to be really weird
- 6:08Speaker 1: for me. I've always been known as a bachelor. Yeah,
- 6:10Speaker 1: it's going to be really weird to like identity shift.
- 6:13Speaker 1: And so now that I'm on the other side of
- 6:15Speaker 1: that years later, you almost just want to shake people
- 6:18Speaker 1: and be like it's so much better on the other side,
- 6:23Speaker 1: Like this sounds fun, it sounds exciting. You're gonna hit
- 6:25Speaker 1: thirty five, it's going to be exhausting. Yeah, you don't
- 6:28Speaker 1: want to leave your house, Like, it's so much better
- 6:31Speaker 1: to have your partner there with you to build this
- 6:33Speaker 1: life together. And I wish I would have done it
- 6:35Speaker 1: ten years ago with her. I mean, we're just so
- 6:37Speaker 1: new to it, back to the game because we do
- 6:41Speaker 1: have some things to get to know you and kind
- 6:43Speaker 1: of still try to figure out what this is going
- 6:45Speaker 1: to look like, and who we're going to set you
- 6:47Speaker 1: up with.
- 6:49Speaker 2: We've already mentioned your.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Name, your age yep, twenty seven, twenty seven years old.
- 6:55Speaker 1: If you could describe your physical appearance for somebody listening, okay,
- 7:00Speaker 1: could you describe it for us? Yes?
- 7:08Speaker 2: I feel so creepy.
- 7:12Speaker 3: Okay, I don't have dark hair, brown eyes, five to seven.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I don't know.
- 7:23Speaker 3: I feel like I've never.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Been asked what's your shoe size?
- 7:26Speaker 3: Size nine? I got skis for feet, some big feet
- 7:31Speaker 3: on that beautiful feet.
- 7:33Speaker 2: I just want to be clear.
- 7:47Speaker 1: If you look back now, obviously we know you from
- 7:49Speaker 1: the show, and we're soon going to know you from
- 7:51Speaker 1: a new show, this show. What's the best thing that
- 7:54Speaker 1: happened to you from being on the show. We've already
- 7:57Speaker 1: talked about in the past. Your friendships. Hm, So I'm
- 8:01Speaker 1: actually gonna take that out of play here. Okay, you
- 8:03Speaker 1: can't mention the other girls.
- 8:04Speaker 3: Okay. The best thing that came out of it honestly
- 8:08Speaker 3: putting myself like outside of my comfort zone. I feel
- 8:11Speaker 3: like I'm kind of I mean, I always say I'm shy,
- 8:15Speaker 3: and then people are like, what, Like, You're literally not shy,
- 8:17Speaker 3: But I feel like I am kind of shy and
- 8:20Speaker 3: going on the Bachelor and like doing these podcasts and
- 8:23Speaker 3: all this stuff, Like it really pushes me outside of
- 8:24Speaker 3: my comfort zone. So I think that's like the best
- 8:27Speaker 3: thing that's come out of it, outside of the friendships.
- 8:31Speaker 3: But like it really has pushed me. And honestly, like
- 8:34Speaker 3: my relationship, like I've really had to like lean on
- 8:36Speaker 3: God a lot too, so I feel like my relationship
- 8:39Speaker 3: there has grown. So I don't know, just like growing
- 8:41Speaker 3: as a person. I feel like the whole Bachelor everything,
- 8:44Speaker 3: like it really pushed me to get outside and learn
- 8:47Speaker 3: more about myself and just be better and learn things.
- 8:51Speaker 1: I'm really interested in this. So going before you went
- 8:53Speaker 1: on the show, could you describe yourself then?
- 8:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I was. I mean I was always like in
- 9:01Speaker 3: like the in the mix of people, right, Like I
- 9:05Speaker 3: was never like a homebody, Like I love being a
- 9:08Speaker 3: home but like I was always like going on and
- 9:10Speaker 3: doing stuff. But I was always just like kind of
- 9:12Speaker 3: like in my shell. Like I had my few people
- 9:15Speaker 3: that I was like comfortable with and I would be
- 9:17Speaker 3: like completely me, but then like talking a random people,
- 9:20Speaker 3: I'd be like, oh my gosh, like hi, like and
- 9:22Speaker 3: I would just get so in my head, and then
- 9:23Speaker 3: I'd be like, oh my gosh, I didn't say enough
- 9:25Speaker 3: or like all this stuff, and like now I don't
- 9:27Speaker 3: really have that, And I feel like it's because I've
- 9:29Speaker 3: talked to so many people that I've never met before
- 9:32Speaker 3: and I had to like have a conversation with them
- 9:34Speaker 3: and like hold a conversation. So yeah, I feel like
- 9:38Speaker 3: I was just a little more quiet before the show.
- 9:42Speaker 2: I can relate with this.
- 9:44Speaker 1: I don't know if you're like me, but there was
- 9:47Speaker 1: many of nights that even last night was a night
- 9:51Speaker 1: and it's been a while for me. When I'm in
- 9:53Speaker 1: social situations, I'll go to bed and lights would turn off.
- 9:57Speaker 1: I'll be laying on my pillow and I'll run back
- 9:59Speaker 1: through every conversation I had in that day and if
- 10:02Speaker 1: I made somebody feel, if I said something that came
- 10:05Speaker 1: off wrong and maybe didn't have a chance to clarify it,
- 10:08Speaker 1: or if I said something that was hurtful, or if
- 10:11Speaker 1: I embarrassed myself.
- 10:13Speaker 2: And I used to do that.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Before the show specific especially every night.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Of my life.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Yeah, and it would it would wreck me to where
- 10:22Speaker 1: I became anti social because I was so much living
- 10:26Speaker 1: in my own head.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Can you relate with.
- 10:28Speaker 3: That, yes, very much.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Yeah, and the show kind of does push you. I
- 10:32Speaker 1: think it's because you kind of like dive in head first,
- 10:35Speaker 1: ye to a world where you're dealing with so many
- 10:38Speaker 1: people that you just kind of have to say, like
- 10:40Speaker 1: I don't know really what I'm going to say, but
- 10:42Speaker 1: whatever I say, I'm sure, well we can clear it
- 10:45Speaker 1: up at some point. Yeah, And it does.
- 10:48Speaker 2: But it makes it really hard to date.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Because you're trying to be intentional, you're trying to be intimate,
- 10:54Speaker 1: you're trying to be vulnerable during these dates. You don't
- 10:58Speaker 1: know how much you say or or how little to say.
- 11:02Speaker 1: And so I for a large period of my life
- 11:04Speaker 1: I personally stop dating. Not because I wasn't interested in
- 11:08Speaker 1: like the idea of it, yeah, but because I was
- 11:11Speaker 1: so insecure or I had lacked so much confidence in
- 11:15Speaker 1: myself too doing Yeah, do you.
- 11:17Speaker 3: Relate kinda Yeah, I feel like I always so. I
- 11:21Speaker 3: was actually talking to my best friend the other day
- 11:25Speaker 3: and I was like, because we were just talking because
- 11:27Speaker 3: we're both single and we're twenty seven whatever, and I
- 11:31Speaker 3: was like, I feel like I have like one more heartbreak,
- 11:33Speaker 3: Like I like, I don't know why I feel that way,
- 11:35Speaker 3: but like, I feel like I have one more heartbreak
- 11:37Speaker 3: to Like I was like, I feel like I still
- 11:38Speaker 3: have like things to learn about myself in relationships and stuff.
- 11:42Speaker 3: She's like, that's so crazy, and I was like, no,
- 11:44Speaker 3: but I really do because I think, yeah, I not.
- 11:48Speaker 3: I wouldn't say it insecurity, but I do think there's
- 11:50Speaker 3: things I need to grow in to, like fully like
- 11:53Speaker 3: be in a relationship where it's like this is like endgame,
- 11:56Speaker 3: you know, Like I think, you know, and I do
- 11:58Speaker 3: therapy and all that stuff, but yeah, I don't know.
- 12:02Speaker 3: I feel like, yeah, definitely, I feel like the whole
- 12:04Speaker 3: taking a break in dating, there's definitely a reason behind it.
- 12:07Speaker 3: I just haven't like truly figured it out yet.
- 12:09Speaker 1: We're gonna get you back in the dating. I'm assuming
- 12:13Speaker 1: you've had a serious relationship before in the past. When
- 12:16Speaker 1: I say serious relationship, I'm sure there's somebody that comes
- 12:19Speaker 1: to mind. Yeah, can you describe that relationship to whatever
- 12:23Speaker 1: depth you want?
- 12:24Speaker 3: Yeah, it was a COVID relationship, So I feel like
- 12:29Speaker 3: those are like a little weird in the beginning because
- 12:32Speaker 3: you know, you were stuck in I was stuck in
- 12:34Speaker 3: a house with him, right, And I always think I'm like,
- 12:36Speaker 3: if it wasn't COVID, would we have dated because we
- 12:40Speaker 3: would have been going out and meeting new people and
- 12:43Speaker 3: doing all these things. But because it was COVID, it
- 12:45Speaker 3: was like, okay, like we're locked in. I like you, you
- 12:48Speaker 3: like me, Like, let's just write this whole COVID thing out.
- 12:51Speaker 3: And I did love him. We dated for a year
- 12:52Speaker 3: and a half and then yeah, we broke up when
- 12:58Speaker 3: was it, like February, And it was not a great
- 13:02Speaker 3: breakup and there's still like a lot of I don't
- 13:05Speaker 3: have hate towards him, but he, like, I don't know,
- 13:07Speaker 3: just not a great breakup. And so I feel like
- 13:10Speaker 3: that kind of turned me off from dating too, because
- 13:12Speaker 3: I was like, literally that breakup it felt like I
- 13:16Speaker 3: was like dying like that heartbreak, Like I was literally
- 13:18Speaker 3: like heartbroken. I wasn't eating, like I couldn't sleep. It
- 13:21Speaker 3: was like a whole thing. And I was like, I
- 13:24Speaker 3: never want to feel that again, Like I literally never
- 13:26Speaker 3: want to feel that again. So that could maybe be
- 13:28Speaker 3: a reason why I stopped dating too.
- 13:31Speaker 2: Have breakups always been really hard for you?
- 13:35Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, I feel like I get like attached to
- 13:38Speaker 3: and like because breakups you're like losing someone you know,
- 13:41Speaker 3: like especially like being with them day in day out,
- 13:45Speaker 3: like sharing everything with them, you know, like your life
- 13:48Speaker 3: is meshed together, and then yeah, you just one day
- 13:51Speaker 3: there it's just not that anymore, which is like really
- 13:53Speaker 3: hard for me to like, yeah, grasp kinda. So I
- 13:57Speaker 3: feel like, yeah, I take a breakup's pretty hard.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I really disliked that.
- 14:02Speaker 3: No, they're literally the worst. I'm like, I wouldn't never
- 14:03Speaker 3: wish this upon anyone.
- 14:05Speaker 1: No, But they teach you a lot too, they do,
- 14:07Speaker 1: And I think one of the most beautiful things looking
- 14:10Speaker 1: back at all of this experience is the things you
- 14:14Speaker 1: learn from these serious relationships, and especially when they end,
- 14:17Speaker 1: you get some clarity on the other side.
- 14:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:19Speaker 1: So with the serious relationships that you've had, the breakups
- 14:21Speaker 1: that you've had, the people.
- 14:22Speaker 2: That you've been on to meet.
- 14:24Speaker 1: The final question about you personally, if you give me
- 14:27Speaker 1: three requirements for your significant other based on what you've
- 14:31Speaker 1: learned so far at this point in your life, what
- 14:34Speaker 1: are you looking for?
- 14:36Speaker 3: Definitely someone who's family oriented. It's like my biggest thing
- 14:41Speaker 3: because I'm like, I mean, I have a four ye
- 14:43Speaker 3: old brother and a twelve year old brother, Like I
- 14:44Speaker 3: need someone who can like be around family and enjoy
- 14:46Speaker 3: family time. I think that's my biggest thing. And I
- 14:48Speaker 3: grew up with a family that you know, we had
- 14:50Speaker 3: Sunday lunch every Sunday together after church, so definitely family oriented.
- 14:59Speaker 3: I would say religious is definitely a big one for me,
- 15:04Speaker 3: or open to it or like, you know, my third
- 15:07Speaker 3: one hmmm, I don't know. Probably someone who just is
- 15:15Speaker 3: just like genuine, Like I just want someone who like, like,
- 15:19Speaker 3: I love volunteering, and I want someone that's like, yeah, like,
- 15:22Speaker 3: it's a Sunday afternoon, let's go under. I do this
- 15:26Speaker 3: thing called under the Bridge on Sundays, and it's like
- 15:28Speaker 3: the best thing ever. It's like with homeless people, but
- 15:30Speaker 3: like someone who like would want to do that like
- 15:33Speaker 3: with me. So I feel like just someone who's genuine and.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Yeah, Okay, this isn't a part of our plan. But
- 15:39Speaker 1: I do think you get to know a lot about
- 15:41Speaker 1: somebody by their passions, know what you spend your time doing,
- 15:45Speaker 1: Explain more of why you chose under the Bridge as
- 15:48Speaker 1: your volunteer shoot.
- 15:52Speaker 3: So I got involved with it at my church. I
- 15:54Speaker 3: go to cross Point in Nashville, and basically under the
- 15:58Speaker 3: Bridge Ministry we go. Oh, it's like under the bridge
- 16:02Speaker 3: and like the homeless people used to live there but
- 16:03Speaker 3: they can't anymore. So that's like where we meet. But
- 16:07Speaker 3: we go and we always do music, we worship together,
- 16:11Speaker 3: and these people are literally like the best people ever,
- 16:15Speaker 3: And like, I don't know, I fell in love with
- 16:19Speaker 3: it because these people are like obviously don't have a lot, right,
- 16:25Speaker 3: but they're so happy and they're just so grateful that
- 16:28Speaker 3: like we put this on and we worship and there's
- 16:31Speaker 3: like always like a pastor that comes in and does
- 16:33Speaker 3: a sermon. Then we feed them food and then if
- 16:35Speaker 3: it's cold, we'll give them blankets or socks or like
- 16:38Speaker 3: whatever they need. So yeah, I just feel like being
- 16:41Speaker 3: around those people is really like it makes my heart
- 16:44Speaker 3: so happy because seeing how happy they are and how
- 16:48Speaker 3: little they have, like it's like very eye opening, right
- 16:50Speaker 3: because I think sometimes especially like in this life, you
- 16:52Speaker 3: can kind of get caught not caught up in things,
- 16:57Speaker 3: but just like care about that doesn't matter, right, And
- 17:01Speaker 3: it's like you take a step back and you're like,
- 17:02Speaker 3: oh my gosh, what matters is like having a roof
- 17:06Speaker 3: over your head, like loving people, having a good relationship
- 17:09Speaker 3: with God and like I don't know, it's just I love, love,
- 17:13Speaker 3: love love under the Bridge. It's really like changed my
- 17:16Speaker 3: heart And Yeah.
- 17:18Speaker 1: It also is very antithetical to the fast pace that
- 17:22Speaker 1: we're talking about the beginning of this of the Nashville
- 17:24Speaker 1: scene or any of these cities scenes with the dating, Yeah,
- 17:27Speaker 1: and the kind of the flash and the pan nights
- 17:29Speaker 1: out like moments like this on a Sunday. I'm sure
- 17:32Speaker 1: under the Bridge it slows life down to where perspective
- 17:36Speaker 1: is like reintroduced to what life is really like for
- 17:39Speaker 1: so many people. Yeah, and allows.
- 17:42Speaker 2: You an appreciation. And here's the cool part.
- 17:46Speaker 1: You get to be where your feet are, Like you're
- 17:47Speaker 1: not thinking about a thousand other things. Yeah, you're not
- 17:49Speaker 1: looking around being like you know, how how do I
- 17:53Speaker 1: gain followers from this?
- 17:55Speaker 2: Ye?
- 17:55Speaker 1: You're just in that moment. And I think that's such
- 17:58Speaker 1: an like that is those moments are beautiful because you're
- 18:03Speaker 1: doing it for somebody else. But I also think we
- 18:05Speaker 1: just can't skip over that here, because it's why you
- 18:07Speaker 1: have the perspective of I want to find somebody, I
- 18:11Speaker 1: want to be intentional, I want to commit to somebody,
- 18:14Speaker 1: because you've taken time out of your life to do
- 18:15Speaker 1: that yeah. I think it's taught you more than probably
- 18:17Speaker 1: you even know, or that any of us could even
- 18:19Speaker 1: point to. We're gonna rapid fire kind of some like
- 18:32Speaker 1: really tough dating questions. I'm scared I might get creepy again.
- 18:38Speaker 1: I don't know, but I'm going to kind of fire
- 18:43Speaker 1: him at you spend as much time on them as
- 18:46Speaker 1: you want. They're just to get to know you better,
- 18:48Speaker 1: to get to know what you're looking for a little
- 18:49Speaker 1: bit more. Are you willing to be the primary breadwinner?
- 18:54Speaker 3: Oh god, I feel like be honest, be honest.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean you can't go dating in line, that's brutal.
- 19:06Speaker 3: No, I don't want to be the bread winner.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Do you want to be a stay at home mom?
- 19:10Speaker 3: Yes, Okay, it's like my dream. Like.
- 19:12Speaker 1: I like how Trista categorizes that. I think it's a
- 19:15Speaker 1: beautiful because I've seen my wife do this. She calls
- 19:18Speaker 1: she calls herself the household manager. Yes, which I think
- 19:22Speaker 1: is such like a It's a perfect description for a
- 19:25Speaker 1: stay at home mom. You're not just like a stay
- 19:26Speaker 1: at home mom, No, you're yeah, you're like managing a household.
- 19:30Speaker 3: Yes, No, being a stay at home mom is like
- 19:32Speaker 3: it's a lot of work. Yeah, I'm like, yeah, he's
- 19:36Speaker 3: my only job.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Would you date someone that your family does not like?
- 19:41Speaker 3: No? Ah, it depends, it depends, it depends, like, but probably.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Not no, because I feel what would be that, Like,
- 19:51Speaker 1: give me a scenario here.
- 19:52Speaker 3: I mean, if it's like over something stupid, like if
- 19:56Speaker 3: it's like, oh, I don't like the way he dresses
- 19:59Speaker 3: or like, I'd be like okay, like doesn't matter. But
- 20:02Speaker 3: if it was like genuinely like no, he treats like
- 20:05Speaker 3: I don't like the way he treats you, then I
- 20:06Speaker 3: feel like I would take that and be like okay,
- 20:08Speaker 3: like let me take a look at this. But if
- 20:10Speaker 3: it was like over something dumb, I wouldn't be like
- 20:12Speaker 3: it's fine, that's fair.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Family can be tough. Yes, yeah, my daughter will never date.
- 20:18Speaker 1: I'm not gonna like anybody describe the like the physical,
- 20:22Speaker 1: like when you think about your perfect person to date,
- 20:27Speaker 1: like they're walking into the beach in Tahoe, okay, shirtless, shirtless?
- 20:31Speaker 3: What I like tall, I like dark hair, I like
- 20:39Speaker 3: dark features. And then I smile. Yeah, I feel like
- 20:44Speaker 3: the smiles like the biggest thing. I look at good teeth.
- 20:48Speaker 1: They can they can wrap you up. If they just
- 20:50Speaker 1: give you that little grin, right, I get it, and
- 20:53Speaker 1: I get it. If you meet someone and they want
- 20:59Speaker 1: to date other people until you, guys, make it official.
- 21:02Speaker 1: So if you're on your first date and they're like, hey,
- 21:04Speaker 1: we're going to define the relationship. You and I are
- 21:06Speaker 1: just like getting to know each other here. But you know,
- 21:09Speaker 1: if you see me tomorrow night out in Nashville with
- 21:12Speaker 1: somebody else, don't be mad?
- 21:14Speaker 2: Are you cool with that?
- 21:15Speaker 3: No? No, I would literally would. I would crash out
- 21:21Speaker 3: like no, you're going to respect me? Thank you?
- 21:25Speaker 2: Just to make things less awkward here.
- 21:27Speaker 1: I cannot be included in the next two questions, Okay,
- 21:30Speaker 1: can't even think about it.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Okay. The question is of all the bachelors.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Since the beginning, who is the most handsome in your opinion?
- 21:38Speaker 3: Oh? Geez, the most handsome? I don't know. Why do
- 21:46Speaker 3: I want to say Jesse? I think Jesse is so cute.
- 21:52Speaker 2: How can you not think Jesse and his.
- 21:54Speaker 3: Personality is so great? Okay, I'm going with Jesse.
- 21:56Speaker 2: He's like six.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Four pounds, solid, jawlne NFL foot ball player, your perfect male.
- 22:05Speaker 1: I watch him on TV at times and like goodness.
- 22:09Speaker 3: And in person, I'm like, I'm like, how are you like?
- 22:11Speaker 3: He literally looks like perfect. I'm like, yeah, it's crazy.
- 22:14Speaker 2: I'm with you.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Okay, Okay, So now you can't have Jesse or myself.
- 22:20Speaker 1: Of all the Bachelor's, who do you think was the
- 22:23Speaker 1: greatest guy? Like, if we're taking physical appearance out of it,
- 22:28Speaker 1: matching what you're looking for in a personality, who would
- 22:30Speaker 1: be the greatest guy?
- 22:32Speaker 3: Oh? I don't know.
- 22:36Speaker 2: I mean they all haven't sucked that bad.
- 22:38Speaker 3: No, No, I'm trying to like think of people the
- 22:42Speaker 3: great like personality. Yeah, I honestly didn't. You've really watched
- 22:47Speaker 3: The Bachelor before? Though.
- 22:49Speaker 1: We do have Bob Guinea with us right now at
- 22:51Speaker 1: the Verbo hilarious.
- 22:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I love him.
- 22:54Speaker 2: I think Bob would love a shout out.
- 22:56Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, all right, we're going with Bob.
- 22:57Speaker 1: I mean, Bob has Bob has of the best personalities anybody.
- 23:01Speaker 2: I've ever met.
- 23:02Speaker 1: He's so funny, he's so funny, He's very sweet. Yeah,
- 23:05Speaker 1: he's a very very very handsome man is himself.
- 23:08Speaker 3: Yeah, Okay, Bob.
- 23:10Speaker 1: A couple more questions here. How do you feel about
- 23:14Speaker 1: being set up?
- 23:18Speaker 3: Honestly, I'm down to try anything at this point. So
- 23:21Speaker 3: I feel like I'm okay with being set up.
- 23:24Speaker 1: And do you believe you can be in love with
- 23:26Speaker 1: two people at one time?
- 23:28Speaker 3: Oh? No, no?
- 23:32Speaker 2: Okay?
- 23:34Speaker 1: Uh would you kiss on the first date?
- 23:37Speaker 3: Mmmm? Yeah kiss only?
- 23:40Speaker 2: Kiss only?
- 23:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I would do that. I think that's fine.
- 23:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm no judgment.
- 23:46Speaker 3: I think it's good.
- 23:48Speaker 2: Kiss. Okay.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Final question for you, Okay, what is your goal? From
- 23:57Speaker 1: famously Available?
- 24:01Speaker 3: My goal is to learn more about myself obviously in dating,
- 24:06Speaker 3: because I feel like I've like definitely pushed it off
- 24:08Speaker 3: to the side and I'm definitely ready to get into
- 24:12Speaker 3: the dating scene again. So I feel like, yeah, learning
- 24:17Speaker 3: more about myself in that way and then hopefully meeting someone.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Never know, I meant what I said, like, no matter
- 24:23Speaker 1: where this spits us out, somebody's gonna be very lucky
- 24:27Speaker 1: they are.
- 24:28Speaker 2: I don't know when.
- 24:30Speaker 1: I hope you don't have another heartbreak in front of you,
- 24:32Speaker 1: but if you do, well, you get through it. I
- 24:36Speaker 1: had a really bad heartbreak right before I.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Found my wife.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Really yeah, I dated somebody kind of in between for
- 24:42Speaker 1: a period of time. They just weren't the right person,
- 24:45Speaker 1: and it hurt really bad. I think it hurt us
- 24:47Speaker 1: both really bad. And then my wife came in like
- 24:50Speaker 1: a month later to my life and I learned so much,
- 24:54Speaker 1: and like at the time, I felt like nothing was
- 24:57Speaker 1: ever gonna work. And then as I started dating my wife,
- 25:00Speaker 1: I was like, I know why, you know all this happened,
- 25:04Speaker 1: but somebody's gonna be very lucky. I can't wait to
- 25:06Speaker 1: just see where this goes and to hear about your
- 25:09Speaker 1: experiences and then also to follow your story going forward.
- 25:14Speaker 1: I think years from now we're going to be sitting
- 25:16Speaker 1: here being like, how cool is this?
- 25:18Speaker 2: You found it?
- 25:18Speaker 1: So, if any guys are out there listening, or any
- 25:21Speaker 1: girls with brothers, cousins, friends, family members, Mercedes is a catch.
- 25:27Speaker 2: We're lucky to have her. Thanks for coming on, Thank you.
- 25:29Speaker 3: I had fun.
