- 0:16This is The Predator's official podcast with Cara Hammer and Max
- 0:20hers for. The empty net and hits it on
- 0:23about on. 102.5 and 106.3 the game at nashvillepredators.com.
- 0:30This is the Predators official podcast on the road in Ottawa,
- 0:35where the Predators finish up a three-game road trip against the
- 0:38Senators this weekend. My name is Max, hers coming to
- 0:41you from Ottawa. Cara Hammer back home from
- 0:44Predators TV is here. Hello Hammer.
- 0:47Hello from Canada. Hello Max, I, I, I want you to
- 0:51take me through how you got to Ottawa because you were, you're
- 0:54telling me that a different route.
- 0:55Normally you guys always take an airplane to get from point A to
- 0:59point B, but last night things were a little bit different for
- 1:02you. Yeah, we hopped a train, A-Team
- 1:04train after the game in Montreal last night.
- 1:06It was a pretty fun ride, two hours.
- 1:09As always. The Prince broadcasters were the
- 1:12life of the party. Kara with Hal Gill pulling out
- 1:15the deck of cards, Lindsay Rowley keeping Hal in line, and
- 1:20Willie and Mace as always having the time of their lives.
- 1:23So it was a fun little switch up.
- 1:25Would have been much more fun after a win, but certainly a
- 1:28cool experience and honestly pretty efficient travel too.
- 1:32We got moving the moment our butts hit the seats of that
- 1:35train and ended up in Ottawa, where the Preds have a much
- 1:38needed day off after back-to-back Rd. games and road
- 1:41losses in Toronto and Montreal to start this road trip.
- 1:45They'll take on the Senators on Saturday night to finish it up.
- 1:48But yeah, it was definitely a fun little switch up.
- 1:50Much appreciated. Did it all feel like you were on
- 1:52The Polar Express? I think I asked Lindsay at one
- 1:56point. Excuse me, ma'am, is this The
- 1:57Polar Express? And she made a face at me, so my
- 2:01joke was not appreciated, but it was snowing.
- 2:04Well, I appreciate it. And obviously The Polar Express
- 2:06is all about magic. And like you just said, Max, the
- 2:08Preds, they need a little bit a little bit of that magic right
- 2:11now. Yeah, so magic would certainly
- 2:14help. Predators have lost six games in
- 2:16a row. They are O2 and O to start this
- 2:18road trip in Eastern Canada this week.
- 2:21Wednesday night they lost three to two to the Toronto Maple
- 2:23Leafs in a game that they led after two periods on an early
- 2:27goal by Jonathan Marshasow. A little bit of magic on the
- 2:30bounce that created this goal as Marshasow dumped it in from the
- 2:33red line. The puck hit I guess the top of
- 2:36the Dashers or somewhere on the backboards and went straight up
- 2:40in the air and landed in the where Joseph Wall didn't see it
- 2:44Marcia so saw it first put it in.
- 2:47Predators were able to play a good Rd. game through the 1st 2
- 2:49periods and LED 1 nothing and then the Leafs big names came
- 2:53back with a vengeance in the 1st 5 minutes of the third period.
- 2:57Mitch Marner to Austin Matthews twice over, then a five on three
- 3:01power play goal made it 3-1. Leafs early on in the third and
- 3:06then the Predators had the puck really the entire final 7
- 3:11minutes of the game but didn't have a ton of scoring chances.
- 3:14Mark Jankowski got on the board with his first goal of the
- 3:16season. Predators had it cut to one.
- 3:19They had a chance in this game. Kara could not execute.
- 3:21Six on five. Lost three to two to the Leafs.
- 3:25Yeah, after that game, that's exactly what Jonathan Marshiso
- 3:27said, He said, I think this is the story of the year.
- 3:31It's the year a little bit to sum it up, he said.
- 3:33I think we just let teams linger when we're in the lead and we're
- 3:37just satisfied to be one up and we just hold on and stop
- 3:41creating chances. And obviously they let Toronto
- 3:44come back into that game. And five games in a row, Max.
- 3:48The Preds lose 3:00 to 2:00. Yeah, pretty crazy to have that
- 3:52store score line coming over and over and over.
- 3:57The Predators still have not won a game this season in which
- 4:00they've scored two or fewer goals.
- 4:02And it has happened now in 18 of 27 games this season they are O
- 4:07and 18 when they don't score three goals or more.
- 4:11They got shut out for the fifth time this season on Thursday
- 4:14night in Montreal against the Canadiens, losing that game
- 4:17three to nothing. They gave up a short handed goal
- 4:20in the first period, another five on three goal in the third
- 4:23period and an empty net goal. So nothing against them and even
- 4:27strength, but a three nothing loss for the predators.
- 4:30The highlights of this one we got to start with the new man
- 4:33and goal, the big juice juice junior.
- 4:36We got two juices. We still don't know what we're
- 4:38going to do about it, but Eustis on and in the 24 year old Finn,
- 4:42the Preds new backup goalie traded for from the Avalanche
- 4:45this past weekend and a backup goalie swap played really well.
- 4:49None of the goals were on hit. Gave up two goals.
- 4:52Made 27 saves in his Preds debut in Montreal.
- 4:56It's a team debut. It's a tough situation for a
- 4:59young goalie who got traded still wearing his Avalanche
- 5:02pads. This is not an easy situation.
- 5:06And as has been the case in most of the games this season, the
- 5:10Preds goalie gave them a chance. This time it was on.
- 5:12And then? Yeah, I mean, he came out Max.
- 5:14He was playing strong. You know, Mace was talking about
- 5:16on the broadcast, he was standing in the top of the
- 5:18crease. He was exactly what you would
- 5:20want to see out of a net minder, especially in his debut where
- 5:23obviously maybe a little bit of nerves making your debut.
- 5:26You come in with a team that's struggling.
- 5:28But he had a strong showing and I think everybody was highly
- 5:31impressed with his game. Yeah, it was just Anandan's 30th
- 5:35NHL appearance. He's still very young in the
- 5:38NHL. Predators got a goalie they see
- 5:40some major upside in, and you saw it last night.
- 5:43He had some massive saves early on, shuffling left to right
- 5:46against Cole Caulfield. He made some breakaway saves and
- 5:50as you pointed out, that May said, he was aggressive.
- 5:53He's playing the Predator style here.
- 5:55He's already conforming to the coaching and the strategy of Ben
- 5:59Vanderklok in the Predators goalie department.
- 6:02And I talked about this actually with Scott Wedgwood before he
- 6:05got traded. And it was a very informative
- 6:07conversation. He was talking to me about how
- 6:10the Preds coached their goalies. And it's not that the Predators
- 6:14want all of their goalies to be like you see Soros, It's that
- 6:19Soros is the star pupil of the Predators goalie program and he
- 6:24does everything they want them to do so well.
- 6:26So when you see a new goalie come in, it's not a coincidence
- 6:30that he starts to look like Soros, because those are the
- 6:32things that they are taught. Yeah, that's interesting.
- 6:36And he's a big body too, and that, so for him to have a
- 6:39little bit of, you know, he's larger.
- 6:41So you would think maybe he would sit back a little bit
- 6:43more, take up more space, but he wasn't playing that way, right?
- 6:46He was getting out in front. Yeah, 6 foot four, 210 lbs.
- 6:52He's a growing boy. Big juice.
- 6:54Junior Juice from Kempole, Finland, Eustis on and in the
- 6:58same hometown as Peckerine and we got to see the mobility a
- 7:01little bit when he lost a skate blade and had to crab walk all
- 7:06the way back to the bench. These are always my favorite.
- 7:11I love the crab walk back to the bench.
- 7:13I have to go back to last season when I watched the Factor come
- 7:16all the way across and systems was was rooting for him the
- 7:19whole time. But always interesting when you
- 7:21see guys have to get off the ice that way.
- 7:23Yeah, it was quite enjoyable and that is not the official term
- 7:26for it, but that's just what I always think of when you lose a
- 7:28skate plate. So big shout out to Eustace On
- 7:31and for a strong performance. Another positive in this game,
- 7:34Zach LaRue playing in his hometown for the first time.
- 7:37He grew up just outside Of Montreal, Mercier, Quebec.
- 7:41His 22nd NHL game was his first in his hometown rink against his
- 7:45hometown team that he grew up cheering for and he had over 100
- 7:49people there supporting him and he got a massive group photo
- 7:53after the game, which the NHL tweeted.
- 7:56I saw that. I definitely had to like the
- 7:58tweet. I mean, 100 people, did they
- 8:01take up half the building? I mean, I know on the broadcast
- 8:04that we're talking about how awesome it was to to be in
- 8:07Montreal, play a game there. They were talking about the live
- 8:09DJ during the intermissions. But was I saw a lot of press
- 8:13fans. There was a lot of gold sticking
- 8:15out. So were they all the roof fans?
- 8:17They very well may have been a lot of Marsha so fans in the
- 8:20building as well, but some people have some questions about
- 8:23the LaRue ticket block and I've got a couple of answers for them
- 8:26here to shed some light on it. The two big questions were did
- 8:31LaRue pay for all those tickets? He said no.
- 8:34He just got his immediate family covered, had a very strict cut
- 8:38off line even for close friends, saying sorry, guys, it's
- 8:41Montreal, you're on your own, you got to buy it yourself,
- 8:44which I think it was a good policy to make sure his wallet
- 8:47stays where it needs to be in his third month as an NHL
- 8:50player. And the other one is, how did
- 8:53all these people get tickets? He actually said that many of
- 8:57them bought the tickets before the season, before he was even
- 9:01called up, hoping that he would be in the NHL by now.
- 9:05And they were very much right. So their early purchases were
- 9:08rewarded. I love that it paid off.
- 9:11They had a lot of faith in him. Yeah, how could you not?
- 9:14He was one of the few guys bringing the energy last night,
- 9:17trying as best as he could to mix it up and get in the hard
- 9:21areas, the things that the Preds have not done this season.
- 9:24And Andrew Burnett said after the game, asked by a horde Of
- 9:27Montreal media the same questions he's had to answer all
- 9:30year about the Predators lack of offense, Bruno said this is the
- 9:33story of the season and a new chapter was written tonight.
- 9:37So they continue to find ways to not get the goals going.
- 9:42And last night an injury was part of the reason why Ryan
- 9:45O'Reilly was injured in the game against the Maple Leafs.
- 9:48The game against Montreal was the first game that O'Reilly has
- 9:51missed in his two year tenure as a Predator after playing in 114
- 9:56straight to start his Preds career, including the playoffs
- 9:59last season. Yeah, it's definitely a big loss
- 10:03for the Preds to have the veteran out and Max.
- 10:06Just just frustration. You could see it on the bench.
- 10:09You could see it it from the players on the ice.
- 10:11I mean, going back to to start the 3rd when they had the five
- 10:14on three and it looks like the penalty kills going to step up
- 10:17again. They're going to find a way to
- 10:19kill it off. But then 10 seconds left,
- 10:20carrier loses the stick, it breaks and then he's defenseless
- 10:24against line aim. And there's nothing you can do
- 10:25in that situation. And it puts Montreal on the
- 10:29board and it just it it, as Mace would say, at best, it's head
- 10:34scratching that this seems to be the story of every game.
- 10:38Yep, over and over and over again.
- 10:40Preds give one up five on three after a lengthy kill that, as
- 10:44you said, nearly got to the finish line.
- 10:47And then later in the period, the Preds had 3 1/2 minutes of
- 10:50consecutive power play time that included 36 seconds of five on
- 10:54three. They were unable to score.
- 10:56The power play has just one goal in the last five games.
- 10:59Preds have been losing the special teams battles throughout
- 11:02this six game losing streak and that has been deciding games in
- 11:05the wrong direction for the Preds, who's now on the season
- 11:09through 27 games are 714 and six trying to salvage the finale of
- 11:15this road trip Saturday against the Ottawa Senators, who like
- 11:18Montreal, are towards the bottom of the Eastern Conference.
- 11:21The ABS and Senators are the bottom two teams in the East, so
- 11:25the Preds will have a shot at them on Saturday night.
- 11:31And let's give an injury update because I, if I'm correct, I
- 11:34believe Michael Mccarran was moved day-to-day in the
- 11:36Lausanne, was added to IR. Yes, and that was really just a
- 11:42roster availability move. So Mccarran was injured prior to
- 11:46Lausanne, so he was on injured reserve and Lausanne was not.
- 11:50But in order for Mccarran to return, someone had to come off
- 11:53the roster since they're carrying the maximum number of
- 11:55skaters now. But Lausanne unfortunately had
- 11:58to miss the game in his home province of Quebec.
- 12:00He's not from Montreal. He's from way up north and
- 12:03Valdor, Quebec. But he always loves going back
- 12:05to Montreal. That's where he got married this
- 12:07summer and where he spends a lot of time.
- 12:10So sad Jeremy had to miss that one.
- 12:12But we will get an injury update from him when the Predators
- 12:14return home next week for one home game on Tuesday against the
- 12:18Flames. But yeah, good to see McCarron
- 12:20back out there going against his former team in Montreal.
- 12:23Thought he was impactful last night getting his groove back on
- 12:26the fourth line. Yeah, I think, I think if they
- 12:29can get these guys back healthy and then, you know, I, I don't
- 12:32know what it's going to take, Max.
- 12:34If they need a spark, they're going to need, they're going to
- 12:36need the magic. And maybe it will happen after
- 12:38riding The Polar Express to Ottawa.
- 12:40But I mean, if you could come back with a win, I think that's
- 12:44what it's going to take, right? Just get one win, build it one
- 12:47game at a time. Yep, there's your Cara Hammer
- 12:50motivational speech right there on the Predators official
- 12:53podcast. Cara, we did have some good news
- 12:55this week. The Four Nations face off
- 12:57rosters are out. We already knew that UC Soros
- 13:00would be the goalie for Team Finland and that Forsberg would
- 13:03be the sharpshooter for Team Sweden.
- 13:05We did have one additional Pred that we were hoping for and it
- 13:09happened. Dust Nyquist will be joining
- 13:12Philip Forsberg on Team Sweden for the Four Nations face off in
- 13:16February. Ah, I'm so excited.
- 13:18So how? I think I asked you this before,
- 13:21Max, but are we only rooting for our guys?
- 13:23Are you going to root for Team America?
- 13:26I mean, where do you go here? I mean, the USA is stacked.
- 13:30They are absolutely stacked. So you can't go wrong in this
- 13:33one. And I got me thinking about it
- 13:35last night in Montreal, which will be the venue for the first
- 13:39half of the Four Nations face off.
- 13:41The first game of the tournament is Gus Nyquist, Philip Forsberg
- 13:45and Sweden against Canada in Canada at the Bell Center on
- 13:50February 12th. That's going to be nuts.
- 13:55It's going to be crazy. And talking about Team USA, were
- 13:58you? We were.
- 13:59We were secretly hoping, right, Ryan McDonald would get picked,
- 14:03but obviously not still. But still Team USA, it's going
- 14:07to be stacked. So.
- 14:11We'll have to talk to our resident American Chris Mason
- 14:13about that one, who's the resident of every country in the
- 14:16world and every area in the world.
- 14:18But so happy for Gus. He deserves it.
- 14:20These guys have kind of have the window skip them, guys who would
- 14:23have been in the Olympics certainly once and at least
- 14:26twice if the NHL had been going. So Gus absolutely deserves this
- 14:30chance here in his mid 30s. He and Philip Forsberg have been
- 14:33international teammates once before, at the 2018 World
- 14:37Championships in Copenhagen when Sweden won the gold medal in a
- 14:42tournament that is massive for all the European countries at
- 14:45the end of the NHL season. So, so happy for those guys.
- 14:48UC Soros all but assured to be the starting goalie for Team
- 14:51Finland. He will be backed up by former
- 14:54Pred Kevin Lankinen and also Uko Pekka Lukinen of the Buffalo
- 14:58Sabres will be in the house for Team Finland.
- 15:01And the Finland versus Sweden game.
- 15:04The massive rivalry which will feature all three of our Preds,
- 15:07it's on February 15th in Montreal.
- 15:10It'll be a four team round Robin and then a single elimination
- 15:14semifinals and finals bracket for the Four Nations face off as
- 15:18the NHL. We'll take a two week break for
- 15:21international play in February. We are very excited, Cara.
- 15:24We we are very excited. It's.
- 15:27Going to be a lot of fun. So glad that three Preds will be
- 15:30in there. Congrats to Gus Nyquist on
- 15:32getting the nod with Team Sweden.
- 15:34All those games will be televised nationally in the US
- 15:37on ESPN and TNT, so this will be a big, big deal as the NHL gets
- 15:42ready to return to the Olympics in February 2026, wetting your
- 15:46appetite with USA, Canada, Finland and Sweden.
- 15:50I do feel bad for the guys like Roman Yosi who would absolutely
- 15:54be representing their country, but their country is not one of
- 15:57the four that gets to go. So no, No Team Europe this time
- 16:02like there was at the World Cup for Yost to be a part of with No
- 16:05Team Switzerland. Yeah, Can I just read this, this
- 16:08line that I that I was looking at while you were mentioning
- 16:11that Team USA was stacked, Did you know the roster includes 4
- 16:16NHL captains and 10 NHL alternate captains?
- 16:21Yeah, who's going to be the captain of these teams?
- 16:23Those will be some fun announcements.
- 16:24I hadn't even thought about that.
- 16:25Yeah, I was, I was thinking about that, you know, because
- 16:28obviously we know that Phil wears the A.
- 16:29So is he going to come in at to Team Sweden and and be a captain
- 16:33on on Team Sweden? I mean, where do they go here?
- 16:35Yeah, a lot of options to be sure, and especially for these
- 16:39two European countries, a lot of guys reuniting with coaches who
- 16:42have coached them in the past. UC Soros's goalie coach for Team
- 16:46Finland is a long time friend of Pecorines who he's looking
- 16:49forward to working with for those couple weeks.
- 16:51So it's going to be a whole lot of fun.
- 16:53It's going to be something that we've never really felt before
- 16:55from the NHL, an in season international tournament with
- 16:59only NHL players taking place on NHL ice.
- 17:02It's going to be a whole lot of fun.
- 17:04We'll take a break, come back, tell you about some holiday
- 17:06goings on coming your way at Bridgestone Arena as the
- 17:09Predators return home for one game on Tuesday night, December
- 17:1310th against the Calgary Flames. A whole lot of holiday
- 17:16festivities going on surrounding that game and in Smashville for
- 17:20the rest of the month. So we'll tell you about that and
- 17:22have some fun as well to finish up the POP.
- 17:25She's Kara Hammer from Predators TV.
- 17:27I'm Max Herz from Predators radio.

- 17:59There's a little bit of the magic that Karen Hammers looking
- 18:01for. Does the 24 karat magic work for
- 18:05you, Karen? Is that Polar Express magic?
- 18:07I'm in it. I'm in it.
- 18:08I'm here for the magic. I'm also here for the Jack
- 18:12Daniels Barrel Tree lighting at 4:45 on Tuesday with my favorite
- 18:17people, Pete Weber and Terry Crisp.

- 18:23thing? Because we know Crispy's all
- 18:24about this Jack Daniels Barrel House lighting.
- 18:26When these things always happen, I'm very worried that they're
- 18:29going to be during the radio pregame show.
- 18:31But it's nice and early. It'll be getting started at
- 18:334:45. So I got to get out there.
- 18:36You know, I'm in the Jack Daniels Barrel House, so right
- 18:38by there inside the arena. That's my spot for the radio
- 18:41show. So I will be seeing you there,
- 18:44Hammer, on Tuesday outside of Pete and Terry's Tavern, which
- 18:48we have terrible news. Kara, did you hear the bad news?
- 18:52Is this, is it really bad news? I don't know if it's bad news.
- 18:55Pete and Terry's Tavern is gone. It's a snow globe.
- 18:59It's magic. But it's for a good reason.
- 19:04It's a magical snow globe now, right?
- 19:07Pete and Terry's Tavern has transformed into the Smashville
- 19:11snow globe. So this is a festive holiday pop
- 19:13up and it's filled with holiday cheer.
- 19:15I mean, what? Why could why could that be bad
- 19:18news? Well, we're going to miss Pete
- 19:20and Terry, but Santa Nash has us covered.
- 19:22The Smashville Snow Globe is open now and will stay open in
- 19:27Pete and Terry's Tavern through December 23rd.
- 19:30It's open from 3:00 to 11:00 on weekdays and 11:00 to 6:00 on
- 19:34Sundays. Plus, as always, open around
- 19:37Predators games and Bridgestone Arena events before and after to
- 19:40get your drinks before and after.
- 19:42There's a lot of fun stuff in there, Kara.
- 19:44A lot of Christmas festivities, special food and beverages.
- 19:49Yeah, a lot of exciting things. You can also go and they have
- 19:52fun filled activities like holiday crafts and we talked
- 19:55about taking the photos with Santa and Dash.
- 19:58But you can go make a DIY sugar cookie.
- 20:01You can have a hot Tennessee toddy a holiday honey.
- 20:04Is it is it time time? I think it's time a holiday,
- 20:08honey. Time and a holiday party.

- 20:13this Nashville snow globe and it is also every Sunday.

- 20:22December 15th and the last Sunday is December 22nd.
- 20:26Wear your ugly Christmas sweater and you can win a Predators
- 20:30prize at the Smashville Snow Globe and Pete and Terry's
- 20:33Tavern. And wear your ugly sweater to to
- 20:36the game on Tuesday because that will be, as we said, the Jack
- 20:38Daniels Barrel Tree lighting before the game on Tuesday night
- 20:42Against the Flames. So we know there are a lot of
- 20:44Christmas bars that pop up in downtown Nashville.
- 20:47Now you've got one with the Pete and Crispy Seal of Approval.
- 20:53I kind of love these big snow globes.
- 20:54Do you recall the snow globe that they had when we were
- 20:56promoting the Winter Classic? Did you ever were you April?
- 21:01I think maybe this was only in Dallas.
- 21:03They had it outside, but I was inside of a snow globe with Sean
- 21:06Henry and a hundred of his family members and their family
- 21:09photo in this magical snow globe.
- 21:13That's awesome. Well, now we've brought it to
- 21:15Smashville. So if you're coming to one of
- 21:17the five home games between now and Christmas, make sure to get
- 21:20your Christmas drink on at Pete and Terry's Tavern, AKA the
- 21:25Smashville Snow Globe on the Demumbrian side of the arena in
- 21:31between 5th and 6th Ave. You guys know where Pete and
- 21:33Terry's Tavern is. If you haven't been there, come
- 21:36on, you're listening to the wrong podcast.
- 21:37We'll see you there when you come down to Smashville this
- 21:40month. And also, Kara, that game on
- 21:42Tuesday where we will light the barrel tree is also Jewish
- 21:45Community Night, which I've been promoting on the podcast for a
- 21:48couple weeks now. It is the early Hanukkah
- 21:50celebration. Hanukkah is still going to be a
- 21:53few weeks away. It's a very late Hanukkah.
- 21:55It's a Christmika this year, which is Kara's new favorite
- 21:59holiday, which means Hanukkah during Christmas.
- 22:03Nashville predators.com/jewish Community Night If you already
- 22:07have tickets for the game, you can sign up to join us for the
- 22:10pregame menorah lighting, which is at 5:30.
- 22:12If you don't have tickets for the game, you can purchase a
- 22:15ticket package through the Nashville Jewish Federation in
- 22:18partnership with the Preds. I'll be there from 5:30 to 6:00
- 22:21before the radio show before the game at 7:00 on Tuesday night.
- 22:26And the T-shirts are in Kara. I tweeted the picture of the
- 22:29T-shirts at Max Hers Talks. If you haven't seen it, it is a
- 22:33hockey stick menorah in Preds colors on AT shirt.
- 22:37If you sign up and join us, there are 300 shirts up for
- 22:41grabs and I'm told some are still available.
- 22:44So go to nashvillepredators.com/jewish
- 22:47Community Night. We'll get you a shirt.
- 22:49I love it, I love it and this is not this will not be my ugly
- 22:52Christmas shirt. I will.
- 22:54I would proudly wear this. Yeah, well, there are some ugly
- 22:57Hanukkah sweaters out there for sure, but this is not one of
- 23:00them. Do you own one?
- 23:02No, I do not. I think you're going to need to
- 23:06invest in one Max to wear out to the Pete and Terry's Jack
- 23:10Daniels Barrel House tree lighting on Tuesday night.
- 23:13Yeah, it will be quite a gathering for Chris Maka on
- 23:17Tuesday night, 2 weeks early and then the Prince will be back
- 23:20home for a four-game homestead in the week leading up to
- 23:23Christmas where we can really get our Christmas on in earnest.
- 23:27One of the games during that week is the first of our Music
- 23:30City Bobblehead Series games. That is Saturday, December 21st
- 23:34when the Predators host the LA Kings and it is Tim Mcgraw's
- 23:38Bobblehead night. I like it, I love it.
- 23:40The man who sings the goal song from day one.
- 23:43The first 10,000 fans in attendance will get those Tim
- 23:46McGraw bobbleheads on Saturday, December 21st, so make sure you
- 23:49get there early. Go to
- 23:51nashvillepredators.com/bobblehead series to see all of the
- 23:55bobbleheads. Keith Urban is January 18th,
- 23:59Vince Gill and Amy Grant together on Sunday, February
- 24:0223rd, and the last one Jelly Roll on Thursday, March 27th.
- 24:07All of those going to the 1st 10,000 fans in attendance.
- 24:10So get down to the rink early and make sure you get your Tim
- 24:13McGraw bobblehead the Saturday before Christmas.
- 24:17I'll be there, I will be there. I'm all about getting.
- 24:20I'm all about getting the bobblehead smacks.
- 24:22Oh yeah, the newest in a long line of Preds bobblehead
- 24:25collections coming your way in partnership with the biggest
- 24:28names in country music in Smashville this season.
- 24:32One more game on the road for the Preds, Saturday night,
- 24:34December 7th against the Senators.
- 24:36Some of you are listening to this episode on the radio on
- 24:39that day as we get you ready for that game.
- 24:41Puck drop is at six. There is also a watch party for
- 24:45that game in partnership with our friends at El Hefe Radio.
- 24:48El Hefe radio at Maria Bonita's authentic Mexican restaurant in
- 24:52Antioch. Head there Saturday night
- 24:55starting at 5 before the game at six to be a part of the
- 24:58broadcast. And the Pred Spanish language
- 25:01commentators from El Hefe will be broadcasting the game live
- 25:05from the watch party. So that's a lot of fun.
- 25:08Head to Maria Bonita's in Antioch to get some great
- 25:10Mexican food and be a part of the El Hefe broadcast on
- 25:13Saturday night. We are sad that we cannot be
- 25:16there for that one. Yeah, the the broadcasters are
- 25:19great and I love it. We'll have to pull some of the
- 25:21audio so that we can add it into the podcast so we can listen to
- 25:24one of their goal calls. Yeah, absolutely.
- 25:27They do all the home games in person, the road games.
- 25:29They don't travel with us, but they do an amazing job on LFA
- 25:33radio for the Predators, Spanish language broadcast.
- 25:36So make sure everybody in the Antioch area, Brennioch, all the
- 25:39sides of Antioch. I know there are many.
- 25:42Get out there to Maria Benitez on Saturday night for the Preds
- 25:45and the sentence. We'll take a break.
- 25:46Come back play you our interview of the week with some dispatches
- 25:50from the road coming up next. She's Kara Hammer from Preds TV.
- 25:54I'm Max Herz from Preds Radio. You are listening to the
- 25:56Predators official podcast. You're on ESPN 1025 and 1063 The
- 26:00Game, your exclusive English radio home for Preds Hockey.
- 26:22Welcome back to the Predators official Podcast here on ESPN
- 26:25102.5 and 106.3 The game. Hope everybody's going into a
- 26:30good weekend back home in Smashville.
- 26:32It's been a cold week. It's been hockey weather.
- 26:35The hockey weather in Canada has been even better.
- 26:37My name is Max Hers in Ottawa with the Predators currently.
- 26:40Cara Hammer from Predators TV back stateside Hammer.
- 26:44It's been pretty awesome getting the cold and the snow up here in
- 26:47Canada. It feels like it's supposed to
- 26:49feel going to NHL games in Toronto and Montreal this week.
- 26:53Yeah, I feel like it's just the holiday spirit.
- 26:55It's it feels like it's hockey season, right?
- 26:59That's what we talked about. And hopefully the Preds can find
- 27:02a way Max to to pick up a win before they come home.
- 27:05But I think it's also these players might just start playing
- 27:09the lottery and looking for a win that way.
- 27:11Yeah, I got to try your luck in other ways.
- 27:14And the Predators social media team, in light of the large
- 27:18lottery jackpot coming your way from the Powerball, who's the
- 27:21sponsor of the Preds Power play on Preds radio, ask some of the
- 27:25players what they would do if they won the lottery.
- 27:28So hear from Zach LaRue, Adam Willsby, Fedor Svechkov, Mark
- 27:32Jankowski and Alex Carrier's wild ambitions in our interview
- 27:37of the week here on The POP. If you won the lottery, what
- 27:41three things would you buy? I would buy a Ferrari private
- 27:48jet and probably a nice lake house.
- 27:55A nice car, a nice a nice trip somewhere and a good a good
- 28:04dinner somewhere probably. I want big dog like labradorfi
- 28:15and the boat and fishing stuff. If I won the lottery, I would
- 28:23buy myself a nice house, maybe a yacht, and I'd give my parents a
- 28:29bunch of money for all they've done to.
- 28:31Go with a vacation home somewhere like somewhere like
- 28:37Australia far away, something like that.
- 28:42And then I'd probably like give a lot of money to my family,
- 28:46make sure everybody's rich. And with the third one, I buy a
- 28:54big boat. Big, big, Yeah.
- 29:00All right, good answers from the Preds on what three things they
- 29:03would buy if they won the 500 + 1,000,000 Powerball jackpot.
- 29:08Did you have a favorite in there, Kara?
- 29:11I like the the, the home and the family.
- 29:16I love that. Just taking care of other people
- 29:18giving and you know, it's the season of giving.
- 29:20I love that. Yeah, those were sweet answers
- 29:23from Mark Jankowski and Alex Carrier.
- 29:25I'm going to pick Fedor Svechkov as my winner because I don't
- 29:29know why you have to win the lottery in order to get a
- 29:31Labrador Retriever, but that seems logical to me.
- 29:34But, you know, they're kind. They're, they're sometimes
- 29:36they're expensive, right? If you have to buy a new dog and
- 29:40you, you shop, you don't adopt. Sometimes they're a pretty
- 29:43penny. Maybe they are, I don't know.
- 29:45I'm I'm not in the Labrador market clearly, but Fedor
- 29:48Svechkov is visiting some high end breeders I guess.
- 29:51So I have to know Max $579 million, what are your, what are
- 29:56your three things? Oh man, that's a good question.
- 30:01I would like to buy a sports team.
- 30:02I think that would be a fun one. OK.
- 30:05Can I say that? Sure, Michael Jordan.
- 30:07Yeah, yeah, I'm turning into MJ now.
- 30:09I think I'll buy a sports team. Nothing too crazy, but yeah, I
- 30:14think I'd buy a sports team. I'd buy a house and maybe a
- 30:19boat. I the two guys saying a yacht
- 30:22kind of got me on the boat kick. I like a boat, but have you ever
- 30:25heard the boat saying? But people that own boats always
- 30:28say the best day to buy a boat was the day you bought it and
- 30:30the day you sold it. It's a lot of work.
- 30:35It is a lot of work. I don't know, I think I'd have
- 30:37to go with buying a house. I think my second would be I
- 30:41would buy a suite for the, for the Broncos.
- 30:43I've had season tickets with the Broncos and my family since the
- 30:461960s. But I think I would like, I
- 30:49would splurge where we can all sit inside in the warmth and
- 30:52have food delivered to us. And my third would, I don't
- 30:56know, probably put put all the money in a in a savings account
- 30:58for Remy. Oh yeah, I'd buy Remy whatever
- 31:01she wants. Can I change my answer for that
- 31:03for your? Little girl?
- 31:05Yeah, she's 2 and she's already asking for a white Jeep and a
- 31:08white dog to sit on her lap. Hey, well, at least she hasn't
- 31:13asked for a yacht and a sports team.
- 31:15She kind of did ask for a Labrador retriever, but
- 31:17different kind of dog. She kind of did.
- 31:21Remy and Fedor Sveshkov do have a lot in common.
- 31:23I think we could get them in a room and talk some things out
- 31:26and make some progress on World Peace.
- 31:28She'll make a deal. Yeah, yeah.
- 31:30He drives a hard market. That's all the time we got for
- 31:33today. She's Kara Hammer from Fred's
- 31:35TV. I'm Max Hearns from Fred's
- 31:37Radio. Big thank you to Jake Lyman for
- 31:39producing this episode back in Nashville while we were out on
- 31:42the road. Predators facing the Ottawa
- 31:44Senators Saturday night at six in Ottawa.
- 31:47That game on normal Fred's TV and Fred's radio, but also on
- 31:51Hockey Night in Canada up here north of the border.
- 31:54And the Fred's are back home Tuesday to take on the Calgary
- 31:57Flames at 7:00. Thanks so much for listening to
- 32:00the Predators official podcast. You're on ESPN 102.5 and 106.3
- 32:04the game.
