- 1:36one hundredth podcast apps WHOA Crazy. I don't even know how we made it
- 1:42to a hundred. I don't know either. We've just been meeting and talking
- 1:46and drinking and vaping and having fun and you know, just having fun with
- 1:51our favorite trashy television shows. And I'm just guy out. A bunch of
- 1:53other people on the internet found us and wanted to have fun with us.
- 1:59So thank y'all so much, Thank you so much. We are celebrating our
- 2:01one hundredth episode feeling like a professional podcast. I mean we are professional.
- 2:06We have a whole ass sign over here, thank you, like we're here
- 2:07to say something and I think it's important. Thank you in advance. All
- 2:12right, before we get into the episode, is there any hot gss that
- 2:15you want to go over? I think there's something right, well, there's
- 2:17only a couple of things that I saw on without a Crystal Balls in the
- 2:21ram page. I just thought they were interesting And the only reason why we
- 2:23bring them up is because they're coming directly from mckelty's Patreon, which is interesting
- 2:28because McKelty, as we all know, is the bridge of the family.
- 2:30And so she is playing both sides, if you will, and trying to
- 2:35do some pr for her dad and Robin for some reason, but then also
- 2:38trying to throw a little shade here and there. But two things came out.
- 2:43One, she did confirm that all of the paintings and artwork that Robin
- 2:49and Cody have in their house are one. So does that mean not prince
- 2:54or like they're real? Okay, they're from the actual artist, okay.
- 2:59And she said that Cody's justification for all the fancy artwork and the jewelry and
- 3:04all the other bullshit that they spend their money on is because he thinks of
- 3:07them as investments in their future, and so that's why he spends thousands upon
- 3:12thousands of dollars on artwork for Robin's home. And same thing with the jewelry
- 3:15is what she mentioned as well. So I thought that was weird. Well,
- 3:17I mean, it does make sense because artwork can be an investment first
- 3:22of all, and personally I think that artwork is booty. Yeah, I
- 3:25don't think it at all. I wouldn't be spending ten thousand dollars for one
- 3:30of those paintings. But the thing is, second Lee, that it must
- 3:34be quite the luxury to be able to have investments like that while Janelle is
- 3:38outliving in the RV in the fifth Wheel, or living in her dormitory apartment,
- 3:43or we've got Christine, you know, trying to hustle up some plexus
- 3:46so that she can take care of her kids. Meanwhile, you've got all
- 3:49of these prints and all of this jewelry and this Dickenzie village, the Dickenzie
- 3:53and village. I cannot get over it. I know if all this shit
- 3:55in your house and so much shit we don't even know about in the horder
- 4:00house. Yeah, so it must be nice. Must really be able to
- 4:02invest like that, Cody, and only invest in one particular future, not
- 4:06anybody else's Future's really nice? And where did you get the money for that?
- 4:11Exactly? Was it from the Cody Brown l C. Janelle's money?
- 4:15Is it Janelle's money, is it Mary's money? Is it Christine's money?
- 4:18Yeah, it's Janelle's money that he's investing into his future with Robin. It's
- 4:23pretty wild. And then the other thing that is kind of a weird little
- 4:27tidbit if y'all remember that Dayton, Robin's eldest son, got into an ATV
- 4:32accident many years ago, and this was actually on the show, and on
- 4:35the show, Robin and Cody's narrative about it was that Dayton was out of
- 4:42town with friends when he had this accident. But then McKelty recently on her
- 4:46patron in the Year of Our Lord twenty twenty three, revealed that he was
- 4:50actually out of town in Saint George with Cody and Robin. So Cody was
- 4:56there in present during Dayton's accident, and you were telling me before we filmed
- 5:00this that Hunter was there too, and he was the one that, like,
- 5:03I think it was a boy's trip. I don't know if Robin was
- 5:05there actually, so maybe it was just I thought it was Cody and the
- 5:09boys. And so after the accident happened with Dayton, it was Hunter that
- 5:14actually took like, and this is a little bit graphic, and I apologize,
- 5:17but took the flaps of his face and actually put them back together.
- 5:21And then held them in place until emergency services got there. So Hunter was
- 5:28actually helping him a lot. But yeah, Cody was the parent that was
- 5:31in charge and responsible, and so that makes it crazy to me that for
- 5:35Christmas twenty twenty one he's buying her children mini bikes because I think she has
- 5:41trauma. Yeah, what happened to Dayton totally because it was a super traumatic
- 5:44accident. I mean that poor kid had all these stitches and shit, and
- 5:46he had to have all these surgeries, Like wild to me. But why
- 5:49would they lie on TV about it and say that he was out of town
- 5:54with friends and like Cody wasn't involved in any way. That's what's weird to
- 5:58me, Like why is she covering for Cody because Cody didn't want to look
- 6:00bad? Yes, I think, and we even see it in this episode,
- 6:04Like Cody and his image, Cody doesn't want criticism. Cody doesn't want
- 6:10everybody to know kind of the inner workings of who he is and what the
- 6:13family is doing. So I just think that he didn't want to put it
- 6:15out there on Front Street. So they made a peace story and Dayton kept
- 6:18a secret. That's sad. Yeah, and so did Hunter and so did
- 6:21the boys that were on that trip. Oh, this family, I swear,
- 6:25But I mean, do you remember when they went up to Wyoming and
- 6:28Michelt fell off the horse? Yeah, I mean she was also out with
- 6:30Cody. Yes, horses, right, and so obviously she got a wild
- 6:33hair and she went riding off and she fell off the horse and she got
- 6:36hurt. But again there's one parent that's present, and it's him. The
- 6:42common denominator is Cody breaks Cody brown interesting information, just a little bit,
- 6:47all right, are you ready to get into this episode? Yeah? Into
- 6:50this boring as episode, kind of boring, kind of boring. Again,
- 6:54it's called airing the Dirty Laundry. And essentially, we've got a couple of
- 6:59scenes with Christie in Salt Lake City. We have a scene with Truly and
- 7:03Isabelle. Yeah, Cody and Robin's house, which I thought was very that
- 7:08was very interesting. Lots of nuances happening. And then we have a lot
- 7:12of revealed information from Mary Browne over two different segments. So why don't we
- 7:16go in order? Here? We start by heading over to Salt Lake City.
- 7:20You talk to Christine's very happy home. We have Michelti and Tony over
- 7:27and I think Isabelle is there and truly is there? Gas Been's there too,
- 7:32maybe yeah, Peydon, that's right, Peyton was there. And this
- 7:34is where we learn the news that she's pregnant, but not just with one
- 7:40baby, she got two babies in her belly. What did you think about
- 7:45this scene? I mean, I don't care. I don't care either.
- 7:47Plus we've already heard about all of it. And if you're on Reddit,
- 7:51you've already seen like pictures from when she gave birth with Robin holding her two
- 7:56babies as if she was the mother. We've already been here. Yeah,
- 7:59we've already that. I just don't care. It was just like a long
- 8:03ass segment and the whole entire time, I'm just like, why why are
- 8:05we starting with this? Like I would be happy for it if I got
- 8:09to see it in present day. Yeah, but these kids are like what
- 8:11seven or eight months old now? Yes? Or a year? Yeah?
- 8:16Like walking and talking, I mean, I having full last conversations with their
- 8:20parents at this point, they're driving cars, they're dating girls. I just
- 8:24don't care. And then Tony just act in all shell shocked. He's like,
- 8:28oh, I don't know, I can handle this, like, shut
- 8:31up, what do you mean you don't have a job. What also are
- 8:33you going to do except for taking care of your kids. I know that
- 8:35is your full time job now. Yeah. Yeah, and then they have
- 8:39them on the couch, kind of talking about when Michelti found out that she
- 8:43was having twins and she she didn't expect it necessarily, but apparently she always
- 8:46wanted them. Yeah, she always wanted twins. And so she got the
- 8:50news and she was like, oh, okay, she just rolled with it.
- 8:52But then Tony got the news and he was like crying. Yeah he's
- 8:56super terrified. Yeah, very terrified. I mean, I guess I get
- 8:58it, because I mean it's kind of a lot like you expected to have
- 9:01a second kid, now you get three kids, you know, but like,
- 9:05Okay, calm down, I don't care. Congratulations, you're gonna have
- 9:07twin sets. Beautiful, you have a beautiful family. Next. Yeah.
- 9:11I feel like Tony and mackelty overestimate their importance to the franchise truly. I
- 9:18did notice, though, how different they looked in their talking head. They
- 9:22look like they've each lost about one hundred pounds. Have you been following them
- 9:24on Instagram? They have been losing a lot of weight. I don't follow
- 9:28them on Instagram because they cannot stand either of them. Yeah, I mean,
- 9:31I don't like them either, but I see them on Instagram from time
- 9:33to time, popping up on the feed, and they've lost a lot of
- 9:35weight. Yeah, I've seen them looking really gray. But I'm just like
- 9:41shocked when you compare and contrast just how much weight they have lost. They
- 9:43were pretty tubby, Yeah they were. And I know I know of Tubby
- 9:48because I'm very about Tubby Rex. Shit, what I am so I could
- 9:50spot it. Those kids have lost weight. They look great, They do
- 9:54look like great. Is actually and I have to say this, it's actually
- 9:58beautiful, Yeah she is. She's actually really pretty well beautiful hair, Oh
- 10:05my god, hair goals. Yeah. Then we have Cody popping on in
- 10:07and saying something like that twins don't run on his side of the family,
- 10:13so those twins must be on Tony's side of the family. But then Tony
- 10:16says that he doesn't have twins on his side of the family at all,
- 10:18and needed does Christine, So it's just kind of a one off. It's
- 10:22a miracle, it's a blessing. Beatrice. Then we pop on over to
- 10:26Parawan, Utah with some morose, depressive music, and we have Mary in
- 10:33her haunted B and B with that terrible wall paper I want her to take
- 10:39care of, don't you change? We need to modernize the b B.
- 10:45But she's talking about the fact that she just had her thirty second anniversary with
- 10:50Cody Brown, and like half the day had already gone by, she hadn't
- 10:54heard from him, so she called him and she's like, happy end of
- 10:58her nursery and he's like, oh, yeah, I ask, so I
- 11:03guess it's our anniversary. Yeah, And then I guess they go out to
- 11:07dinner. He goes to pick her up, she suggests it. She's like,
- 11:09do you want to go for a drive? Would you like to go
- 11:11out to eat? And he's like, well, I mean I am watching
- 11:13the kids. Really your babysitting your own children, which is something I know
- 11:18that you love to do. And then he's like, but so I have
- 11:20to ask Robin. Yeah, so you're watching the kids. But Robin's there
- 11:22is She in her bed until noon, just sleeping, dozing, probably staring
- 11:26at the Deckenzie's village, just thinking about the next piece she's going to be
- 11:31acquiring because she's bidding on it on fucking eBay and I'm gonna get gus that.
- 11:35Yeah, is that where she is? Yeah, so he's watching the
- 11:41kids, but really his talking head, he tells us that he needs to
- 11:43think, like what is he going to do? Does he really want to
- 11:46go? Is that the right thing to do under these circumstances? And then
- 11:50I guess he decides that he'll see her, So he calls her back and
- 11:54says, Okay, I'll pick you up. And then we get some old
- 11:56footage of Cody jumping into his truck I think from when he was going to
- 11:58go level the fifth Will for Janelle. Yeah, so they're just recycling this
- 12:03old footage and all of these old pictures. I'm like, what are you
- 12:05doing, production company? I'm tired of it and I'm tired of seeing all
- 12:09of the same pictures of Mary and Cody too. Like, while Mary's talking
- 12:13about their relationship, like we get it, they're never going to get back
- 12:16together. Cody hates her and doesn't love her. Apparently, it's just like
- 12:20so annoying you to have to go back at is episode after episode after episode
- 12:26a rehashing of something that we already know. I feel like this season is
- 12:31complete filler like stuff again that they're just putting together to make a season,
- 12:35But they're going to release a new season maybe in April, like I've been
- 12:39talking about the last couple of times we've been meeting about Sister Wives, Like
- 12:41I just can't believe this is the season and the gag is is that it's
- 12:46one of the highest review watch rated seasons of all time for Sister Wives.
- 12:50Yeah, so what incentive do these hoe ass producers have to give us a
- 12:56better season next time? They don't have any incentive. It's just like how
- 13:01we were talking before we film this, like we don't know if there's going
- 13:03to be a tell all, and we've been talking about this the whole season,
- 13:07like we don't know how many more episodes we're going to have. We
- 13:09probably have at least a couple like two or three and then maybe some tell
- 13:13alls. But like if they don't do a tell all this season, then
- 13:20if they do so it all this season, then it's going to feel to
- 13:22me like they're splitting the season into like we're going to get a fall season
- 13:28and then we're going to get a spring season of kind of the same timeline.
- 13:31That's what I think might be happening. And then if they re release
- 13:33next year in the fall again, maybe they can bring us up to speed
- 13:37and we can all meet again in the year twenty twenty four in our current
- 13:41day timeline. That's just crazy. That's my dream as a raccoon. Can
- 13:45we fucking catch up to what everybody else speed up? Man back to this
- 13:50date with Cody and Mary. So she's having, you know, a dinner
- 13:54with him, and he makes reference to faking the relationship yeah, and she's
- 14:00like, well, what do you mean faking the relationship? Actually does this
- 14:03with his hand, like me and you we're faking this relationship, and she's
- 14:07like, I'm not faking. And then we get into the conversation where Cody,
- 14:11I guess, finally tells her straight out it is never, not ever
- 14:16going to happen between you and me. I cannot see myself interjecting myself into
- 14:22your life in any way. I don't want to. I don't want this.
- 14:24We do not have Actually what I wrote it down, what does he
- 14:26say? He says, quote, but we're not met, and then he
- 14:31stops himself yeah, and then he says, but we're not living like we're
- 14:35married. But what he really wanted to say is we're not even married.
- 14:39Yeah, so, and her heart started speeding up because it was literally physically
- 14:45breaking in her chest. And like, while I'm watching all of this,
- 14:48I'm like feeling for Mary, and I understand that she's upset, but yeah,
- 14:52I feel like she's been told this last a couple of years. She's
- 14:56been shown this the last couple of years, And I'm like, Mary,
- 14:58why is this so surprising to you? You have been the only one wanting
- 15:01to actually try. He has not wanted to try the last several years of
- 15:05your marriage. You say it yourself in this episode that you guys haven't had
- 15:09much of a marriage in the last eight years. Why do you even want
- 15:13to try? And I understand that it's about her faith and that it's this
- 15:16eternal marriage that they signed up for, and like they have these spiritual beliefs
- 15:22that they're called to, but I'm just like, at a certain point in
- 15:26time, you got to realize that it's never going to be it the way
- 15:30you want it to be. It's never going to be what it was when
- 15:33you guys were nineteen and twenty two. It's just never going to go back
- 15:37to that because he found his soulmate and it's not you, and he convinced
- 15:41you stupidly to divorce his ass so that way he could marry his soulmate and
- 15:46be legally married. And you're still going on about this and saying, well,
- 15:52I'm trying, I'm not faking it, I'm not leaving. I still
- 15:54learn with the family. I just think she's pining. She mentioned in this
- 16:00episode again her values. I think her spiritual religious values are very important to
- 16:04her. I also think that Cody and Mary had a real love story totally
- 16:10back in the day. I remember the season one footage. I remember when
- 16:14Robin got married and she was fixing his tie, which they showed twice or
- 16:18something in this episode. The way they looked at each other, the way
- 16:21they danced at that wedding, the way they had passion. I could tell
- 16:23that they were fucking fucking. There was passion. And in a later segment,
- 16:29Mary actually says that Cody has the nerve to say I never loved you.
- 16:33I was only ever just trying to affirm our vows. So crazy to
- 16:37me, And that was right after she said that. During their whole relationship,
- 16:42anytime that she asked him like do you still love me or whatever?
- 16:45Still care about me? Anytime she had doubts, he was always there to
- 16:49reassure her, and she always believed that. And then to turn around and
- 16:53say, no, I've never loved you, just like he said with Christine,
- 16:56I was never attracted to you. I loved you. He's using the
- 17:00same exact fucking story. This is the definition of gaslighting. Yes, he's
- 17:04gaslighting all of these women. What are you talking about? I never loved
- 17:07you. He hasn't said this to Janelle though, No, he hasn't said
- 17:11this to Janel, but he tried to gaslight her and he died. I
- 17:15think that this was a really crushing segment, and I think it ends with
- 17:19her saying something like but you promised, Yeah, you literally promised me.
- 17:23And then when we get to the next part where she's going into the relationship,
- 17:26she starts ba saying like, I had a lot of doubts going into
- 17:30this relationship and going into polygamy with you and building this specific life with you.
- 17:33I had questions. I was worried, but you were always reassuring me
- 17:38that everything was going to be okay and that you loved me and that I
- 17:41was your person yeah, and now all of a sudden, you never loved
- 17:45me, and she calls it a bullshit. It is bullshit. She knows
- 17:48it's She's like, ask anybody, yeah who knew us when we were nineteen
- 17:52twenty, even ten years ago. Yeah, Ask anybody, and they would
- 17:56tell you that he loved me and that we were in love. And I
- 18:00believe her. Yep, me too. After this scene, we bop on
- 18:03back to Christine and we're still talking about the twins, and now we're talking
- 18:07about how mchelty is going to be delivering twins and because of that, she's
- 18:12not comfortable with having a home birth, yeah, which she's high risk,
- 18:15and so she's going to solicit the services of doctor Bean, who is the
- 18:21doctor who was there to deliver truly, And then we saw all the fucking
- 18:23footage of that multiple times. Then we saw footage of Robin's homebirth and Maddie's
- 18:30homebirth, and I'm like, what are we doing, you know, going
- 18:32through the archives just to make a full episode. We've all of it and
- 18:36it doesn't even make sense to what you're talking about. Oh, so she's
- 18:40going to be bringing on doctor Bean. I was gonna say, mister Bean
- 18:45and so then we have a conversation about polygamists and hospitals. What did you
- 18:51think about that? I thought that was interesting because Christine says that a lot
- 18:53of polygamists are afraid of going to the hospitals and giving birth there because they
- 18:57don't want to be found out as polygamists, and that's why they don't usually
- 19:02put the father on birth certificates and stuff like that, because they don't want
- 19:06to get caught. And so there's a weird culture of fear with hospitals.
- 19:11So that's why they do homebirths, right, which is fine. And then
- 19:14Christine talks about how great home births are and how the recovery dime is awesome
- 19:18because you're already at home, and yeah, it's pretty great. And you're
- 19:21like, fuck, no, I give me the drugs. I need all
- 19:23of the drugs. I mean, but me, being such a crunchy person,
- 19:26I'm like, well, I can see the appeal of a home birth.
- 19:29Really. Yeah, there was a lady that my church. Well yeah,
- 19:33but there was a lady that went to my church and she's had six
- 19:34kids and they're all she had them all in her bed. Okay, are
- 19:37you really wanting like a natural birth. When you give birth, you're gonna
- 19:41want an epidural. I told you. They tried to give me an epidural,
- 19:44but I was way too fat and they couldn't get the needle between my
- 19:45spy into this spinal memory or whatever because it was fat, which was unfortunate
- 19:49because then I had to feel I was very fat. You don't think I
- 19:52was super turbo fat, well, because you were pregnant, Well, yeah,
- 19:56very pregnant. And so then I had to take the regular drugs and
- 20:00those were good up until like I think four or five centimeters, and then
- 20:03it was just all downhill from there. In terms of if I could have
- 20:07had the epidural and all that deluded, I would have been so happy.
- 20:11Yeah, you had been so fine. Yeah, but yeah, I don't
- 20:14know. I wouldn't want to do a home but some of the home birds,
- 20:15I'm like, oh, that's so beautiful, like the people that do
- 20:18the water births and stuff. It's supposed to be more natural that way.
- 20:21I don't know. And there's a whole historical thing that says, like when
- 20:25they started making women give birth in hospitals and they had to lay down,
- 20:27like it's actually worse for your pelvic floor and all of that stuff. So
- 20:32it's actually are bad. I made it. I took drugs and it was
- 20:36great. I thought it was interesting though, the whole segment about this,
- 20:38and then we have Janelle kind of cutting in and saying that she was not
- 20:41raised as a polygamist and so she never really had this preconceived idea about hospitals
- 20:47being bad or hospitals being some a mechanism through which you could out your polygamist
- 20:52family. And thus Cody has his name on all of her children's birth certificate.
- 20:56Yeah, and that got me wondering, like, does Cody have his
- 21:00name on Christine's kids birth certificates? I wonder if he doesn't, because if
- 21:04she wants to pursue him for child support, she probably can't. She has
- 21:07to well she can prove paternity. And also we have the footage that we've
- 21:11all been watching for twelve years when he's established that he's her father. Yeah.
- 21:15Yeah, So that's just got me wondering whether he signed Christine's children's birth
- 21:19certificates or is he out here like not legally taking ownership of them at all,
- 21:23because I don't think he ever insured them. I also don't think he
- 21:27ever insured Janelle's kids either, Like they've rarely had insurance for any of their
- 21:32kids, which is why Christine had to raise fifty thousand dollars in order to
- 21:36get Isabelle her spinal surgery. Right, you don't think Cody contributed to insurance.
- 21:41It's crazy, crazy, crazy, super super crazy. And it seems
- 21:44like Christine's the only one with this weird fear and she kind of passed it
- 21:47down to her kids because she talks about how Michelt had avalon at home,
- 21:52but Tony was like, not, no, really traumatized his PTSD from that,
- 21:56and so would I. Well, yeah, seeing your wife in pain
- 21:59like that with no and everything and like all of the goop and all the
- 22:02stuff, it's just like that's real. That is a lot. And yeah,
- 22:04you have a midwife there, and Christine says that that's essential to have
- 22:08a good home birth, to have a experienced midwife and everything. That's still
- 22:12a lot. So I'm kind of glad that mckelty's like, I'm just going
- 22:15to do in the hospital. Yeah, because I got twins. It's too
- 22:18high risk. We're just going to do there, right, And I totally
- 22:19understand and I totally think that she should. Yeah. After this, we
- 22:22head on over to Robin and Cody's and they are celebrating Truly's twelfth birthday.
- 22:30Truly is visiting with her sister Isabelle, and Robin is really happy to have
- 22:33family in the house, even though it's not everybody. Even though it's not
- 22:38everybody, she's just happy because their kids have really missed their sibling. Whatever.
- 22:44But there just seems to be a wall. There seems to be a
- 22:47wall that I can't get over, and I just don't know why. And
- 22:49the wall is Christine, Yeah, that's what it is. There's nothing that
- 22:52I've done to create this wall. Okay, so I am confused as to
- 22:56why. But in this moment, I'm just happy to have a couple members
- 23:00of the family over to visit is she though. I feel like she's not
- 23:03really happy to have them over. To be honest, I think it feels
- 23:07awkward. And Cody even addresses it and he's like, you know, Truly's
- 23:10fine. She seems to be having a lot of fun. But there's just
- 23:11a nuance. There's an undertone. There is a vibe with Isabelle that is
- 23:17like just strain or just uncomfy, And when you look at Isabelle. I
- 23:21mean she's standing around the island with the rest of the kids. Her eyes
- 23:23are downcast, she doesn't look comfortable. Yeah, And then we get her
- 23:29on the couch saying, well, yeah, I mean my relationship with my
- 23:32father has always been rocky. Yeah, and now it's especially weird because they're
- 23:37going through a divorce. Plus we're a polygamist family going through a divorce.
- 23:41I don't know how to act. Yeah, he doesn't know how to act,
- 23:44and so it's weird. Well, and I'm just like, Also,
- 23:47he didn't go to your major surgery, right, and you really wanted him
- 23:49to go to your surgery. And we saw him on camera say don't be
- 23:53a bitter old hag or whatever because I didn't go to your surgery. Like,
- 23:57I think that's also contributing to the quote mild strain that Cody puts it.
- 24:03And I'm just like, Cody, you could try to bridge the gap
- 24:04a little bit, and you can try to make Isabelle and truly feel a
- 24:07bit more comfortable, but you don't because you don't care. You're just gonna
- 24:11allow the mild strain to linger and not do anything about it because he expects
- 24:18everybody else to just call jem to facilitate the relationship that they want to have
- 24:22with him. And if they don't want to have a relationship with him,
- 24:25like Maddie, they don't want to have a relationship with him, He's not
- 24:27gonna go out of his way to call them or make any overtures. We
- 24:32actually have a producer ask him like, hey, have you talked with Mattie?
- 24:36Yeah, And this is where he says, yeah, you know,
- 24:38around the time Christine left, or maybe it was COVID, Mattie just stopped
- 24:45calling and I'm not really sure what happened there. Then we cut to Janelle
- 24:48saying, yeah, she's not talking to him because of his behavior. Yes,
- 24:52just to think about her kids and what kind of people or what kind
- 24:56of grandfather she's going to allow into the lives of her children. That's because
- 25:00of his behavior. She doesn't want any part of it right now. Now,
- 25:03do you think that that loved it? I mean, that's great,
- 25:07Jeanette, so awesome. Yes, But do you think that that's influenced at
- 25:11all by any of the wives, Like, is Janelle running to Maddie and
- 25:14talking shit about Cody? You think I think Christine is running to Maddie.
- 25:18Yes, I think Christine has talked to Maddie, and Maddie has always been
- 25:21a very big critic of polygamy and Robin anytime they had home Church, which
- 25:26again we saw footage of this once again, Robin with her purity preaching.
- 25:30Okay, shut up, wasn't she pregnant with Dayton out of wedlock? I
- 25:34don't know, I don't even know, but yeah, Maddie was always sitting
- 25:37at home Church with a very stink ass face, listening to her parents preach
- 25:41about the values and virtues of spirituality hypocrites. Yeah, so I think she's
- 25:47pretty disappointed. And we even have Cody saying in this segment that as he
- 25:51looks around at his family right now, he's disappointed, Well, yeah,
- 25:56wouldn't you be? And why don't you fix it? Why don't you do
- 25:59anything to fit You're just gonna allow it to disintegrate in front of you and
- 26:03you're just gonna be like, eh, whatever, it is, what it
- 26:07is. He talks about how it's hard right now and he doesn't know if
- 26:11he can trust and I'm like, are you talking for Isabelle in that moment?
- 26:18Like, maybe Isabelle doesn't know if she can trust me, because I
- 26:22actually think maybe he's talking about himself being unable to trust isabel or his other
- 26:26kids. That's what I think it is, because I think he believes that
- 26:30all of the wives are talking shit about him to the kids and turning him
- 26:33away or turning them against him. So I think that's what he means.
- 26:37He can't trust his kids. He's calling them narcissists and stupid and idiots and
- 26:42jerks on national TEAMLA to me, Beatrice, I know, it's really crazy
- 26:47to see, and I'm just like, Cody, why don't you just like
- 26:49try to talk to your kids about it, though, Yeah, and try
- 26:52to be not an angry, testosterone raging monster about it when you talk to
- 26:56them and ask them how they're feeling, because they're probably filing super conflicted.
- 27:00Isabelle, right there, is so uncomfortable to be around her dad because she's
- 27:04dealing with all of the shit that he's done to her, on top of
- 27:08knowing how he treated his mom, how he treated or how he treated her
- 27:12mom sorry, and how he treated Janelle and the rest of her kids.
- 27:15Like she knows what's happening because she's not fucking stupid she's an adult. She
- 27:19can see, she's got two eyes, so she's dealing with all of that.
- 27:22That's why it's uncomfortable, how mild. I actually think that Isabelle is
- 27:27there as a human shield for Truly to like protect Truly to I can see
- 27:32that Truly is okay because maybe Truly is feeling uncomfortable or awkward, and she
- 27:37doesn't see these people very often, and so Isabelle is offering to go and
- 27:41be there with Truly and I spend see the time with her family. We
- 27:45also learn in this segment about Cody would feel a lot of shame if he
- 27:49went back to Utah and showed his face in his old church because his entire
- 27:55marriage, his entire family structure has imploded. He also says they have not
- 27:59found a church in flag Staff, so they're not actively worshiping anywhere, and
- 28:04we have to wonder whether he's actually lost his faith, certainly his polygamist faith,
- 28:10right. I don't know if he would align himself currently with the aub
- 28:12Yeah, which is I guess that is not the religion that they are all
- 28:17part of, yeahub Yeah, so he's not probably aligned with the AUB I
- 28:21don't even know if he's an LDS, though I don't even know if he's
- 28:22just a plain old Mormon anymore. I don't even know. It would be
- 28:26interesting to hear what he actually does believe. But I mean, we've seen
- 28:30on prior seasons some of the people from his AUB church coming in to ask
- 28:34him about polygamy and all of his wisdom he has from all of his four
- 28:37wives. So there are monogamists in the AUB that believe in the faith that
- 28:42are quote trying to find their own sister wives. Right, So maybe he
- 28:45still aligns with the church but is pretending like, oh, well, I
- 28:52am a polygamist, but you know, I've gone through three divorces, so
- 28:56I'm thinking about it. Maybe. But what I got from this was that
- 29:00he's disappointed. He's embarrassed, she's angry, he's non proactive because he's doing
- 29:08absolutely nothing to fix the problem, and he's sad because he ends this with
- 29:14you know, yeah, like everything seems to have come to sort of an
- 29:17end, and my family hasn't ended, but there has been an ending of
- 29:21sorts. Yeah, and that's sad. It is sad, And I felt
- 29:26with him on the couch there was more of a softness, Like maybe some
- 29:30time has passed from when he was read in his eyes and read in his
- 29:33face and read in his next screaming about Christine, Like maybe a few months
- 29:37have actually passed because Michelti has said on her Patreon that he's going to therapy,
- 29:41that he's trying to get out of his anger and get out of his
- 29:45toxicity. So maybe there's been some time that's past. I don't know.
- 29:48He looks sad, but he's not fucking reflective. No, there's no ownership
- 29:52or accountability. If he was actually doing the work and going to therapy,
- 29:56like there would be some of that in these statements, and there's none of
- 30:00that. No, there's still a lot of anger and hatred towards the wives
- 30:03and some of the kids, Like he just doesn't have any of that ability
- 30:07to recognize his own actions and all of this. Like you're disappointed and sad,
- 30:11sure, but it's because you wanted it to be the status quo.
- 30:15It's not that you're disappointed and sad because you miss your family, Because if
- 30:18you missed your family, you would make the effort to try and mend all
- 30:22of these relationships that you broke. But you're not doing that. So to
- 30:25me, I'm watching this and I'm like, I don't really care that you're
- 30:27disappointed and sad because you don't act like it and you don't care to fix
- 30:32it. So crime me a river man. Yeah, And at some point
- 30:34in this episode, Janelle says something like, you're getting exactly what you're giving.
- 30:40Yes to these kids, Yes, what you give them is what you're
- 30:42going to get from that, but they are no longer going to be making
- 30:45that extra effort to try and have a relationship with you. Exact this is
- 30:49what it is, right, speaking of Janelle, In the next scene,
- 30:55we head on over to Garrison's house, which again he bought and paid for
- 30:59him working man, huge accomplishment. He's got a backyard and he knows that
- 31:03his mama loves to garden, so all the kids have pitched in and they
- 31:08built her some raised beds her birthday, your birthday, And so Gabe is
- 31:14out there helping her garden plant her basil and her tomatoes, and you can
- 31:17just see she's in her element. Yes, she's so happy. I loved
- 31:21it. And was it, Gabe? I can never remember which one,
- 31:23the one the long hair I was helping her. Yeah, Gabe was helping
- 31:26her. She said, that's her garden child, who always loves to help
- 31:30her. And I'm just like, that's so wholesome and so cute that,
- 31:33like, in this tiny, little urban area, they're giving their mom this
- 31:36whole space so she can plant her basil and her tomatoes and her sweet potatoes
- 31:40and all these I just like that makes me so happy. Yeah, and
- 31:44her boys are trying to take care of her. Her boys are trying to
- 31:48fill in or step into the shoes that her father or their father should be
- 31:52actually, yeah, stepping in. So they're trying to take care of Janelle.
- 31:55And I thought that was a really sweet scene. But we get to
- 31:59the part of this scene which is very interesting where Janelle's talking about Coyote Pass
- 32:04and she's reiterating that she loves gardening. She loves plants, like her ideal
- 32:07dream would be to work professionally large scale growing plants, which is awesome.
- 32:13And so she has a current dream as of the filming here, So twenty
- 32:15twenty two, her birthdays in May, so I think we're in June of
- 32:19twenty twenty two. Still, Yeah, but her current dream at that time
- 32:22was to build greenhouses on Coyote Pass and to have some kind of a business,
- 32:27which is awesome. So she keeps asking Cody, like, are we
- 32:30paying it off? What's going on with this? And then we cut on
- 32:32over to Cody and Cody's not, Yeah, she's nagging me about Coyote Pass
- 32:37and paying it off. And my intention is to build there with Robin.
- 32:39Yeah, just Robin, not with Janelle, not with Mary, not with
- 32:44anybody else. I still intend to build there with Robin. And for all
- 32:50the nagging that Janelle is doing, she's not actually helping. Bitch. She
- 32:54helped pay for your mc mansion to the tune of about one hundred and twenty
- 32:59to one four thousand dollars. Barry also contributed to that McMansion and put money
- 33:06into the fund which you used to buy your Canzio salad and all the artwork
- 33:10and all the artwork and all your jewelry and Rolexes and rings and such.
- 33:15You're the one that needs to cough up the money for Coyote Pass. You
- 33:19pay it off for real. But I think he's still he's saying that as
- 33:22a dig to her because he's still bitter about her spending eighty thousand dollars in
- 33:27the view, I wouldn't be a bit surprised. I mean, that's all
- 33:29it is. He's just bitter because she went against his authoritic as the patriarch
- 33:34of the household and made that huge purchase. And we've talked about this before
- 33:37that that wasn't the most responsible use of her money. However, when nobody
- 33:43is willing to pay off Coyote Pass and nobody is willing to make any hedgeway
- 33:46on this fucking plot of land or all these plots of land that they bought
- 33:50what four or five years ago, like they're not doing shit with it.
- 33:54Yeah, I would probably buy something too, just to get out there,
- 33:58just to maybe light a fire under your guys. Is asked to get all
- 34:00of this done so we can build out there. Because Janelle's living in a
- 34:04dorm apartment, Cody, what is she supposed to do? Do we really
- 34:07believe Cody here that he intends to build with Robin on Coytie Pass, because
- 34:13my feeling is that he intends to sell this land at some point and make
- 34:16a profit. I don't even think he wants to build. I don't think
- 34:19he wants to either. I think he's comfortable in the McMansion with the heated
- 34:22driveway. They why four acres? Why would he, yeah, need to
- 34:24build He's got a great situation. Now he's turned into a monogamous Yep.
- 34:29He has a great piece of land. But unfortunately Mary and Janelle's names are
- 34:32attached to that land. M hm. So I don't know what's going to
- 34:36happen, but I'm probably going to sell it. They paid it off I
- 34:38think early summer twenty twenty three, so just a few months ago. I
- 34:42don't know how they paid it off. I don't know who made the payment
- 34:45to pay it off, but it has been paid off. They own it
- 34:46free and clear. I just don't know what's going to happen to the property.
- 34:50I thought they paid only one part of the land off because they had
- 34:52multiple plots that they were still owing on. I don't know, but I
- 34:55think you need to do your raccoon forensics. I'll look it up, look
- 34:59it up, and I'll go back to the Flagstaff County website and look or
- 35:02onto Reddit because there's a lot of raccoons on Reddit. Yeah, also looking
- 35:06into this. All Right. From there, we head on over to Salt
- 35:10Lake City, Utah. We have truly m because again. It was her
- 35:15birthday, she turned twelve, and her request of Christine was to have a
- 35:19bike. What did you think of this scene? This was pretty cute and
- 35:22wholesome. I feel bad for truly, because she's obviously very traumatized about learning
- 35:25how to ride a bike. Because fucking Cody, I don't was an asshole
- 35:30to her when she was trying to learn. When she was like what nine
- 35:32or something like that, she looked a little bit older, I don't know,
- 35:35but she was just like there's a flashback of a scene where he's just
- 35:37being kind of harsh and stern with her, like just figure it out,
- 35:40get on the bike. I think she was like five or six. I
- 35:44think she was younger. She looked young. She looked old enough to like
- 35:47learn how to ride a bike, but still young, like where you shouldn't
- 35:52be so harsh with her. But she obviously is traumatized about learning how to
- 35:54ride a bike. And Christine talks about this, so they're going to let
- 35:59her take her time do what she's most comfortable with. They bought her a
- 36:01bike and they start to try and teach her how to ride a bike in
- 36:06their driveway, and the poor thing is just so scared, Yeah, and
- 36:10something that she's going to have to overcome. Yeah, it's sad. But
- 36:14Mitch is there. Mitch again is Essen's husband. He's really sweet. And
- 36:17then there's Christine and all the people just talk and talk and talk, and
- 36:21he's like, truly needs less voices. Let's do some less voices. And
- 36:25Christina is like, that is the nicest way anyone has ever told me to
- 36:28shut up. But sometimes Christine needs to shut up. I mean truly,
- 36:30she's just like a little parrot, back the shut up. Let truly have
- 36:36this moment to try and figure it out. Yet so truly does she doesn't
- 36:39ride the bike? Does she know? She gets scared, but she does
- 36:43a little practice. She makes an attempt, and she says it's going to
- 36:45take at least five days these five days, maybe more actually for me to
- 36:52actually ride this bike, at least five days, And in the moment,
- 36:54she's like, I'm not ready for this right now, Let's just wait until
- 36:59next year, right guarantee. Like you're so cute. She's really cute.
- 37:02She's very precocious. Yeah, and she's just really a cool kid. I
- 37:07was watching this with my wife, your daughter, and she was kind of
- 37:10making fun of truly a little bit. She's like, man, she's old
- 37:14to learn how to ride a bike. And I turned to her and I'm
- 37:15like, I was ten. I was ten. And then I was texting
- 37:20Ethel today and she was telling me that somebody she knows I won't reveal it
- 37:23or whatever, didn't learn until he was sixteen. Oh my gosh. Oh
- 37:30yeah. And she truly even says, I wish I learned this when I
- 37:32was five, yeah, which I think is coded language for I wish I
- 37:37didn't have such a terrible traumatic experience with my father who doesn't know how to
- 37:40parent me. And I wish I would have been able to pick it up
- 37:44back then somebody else had taught me. So I had been riding my bike
- 37:46this entire time. But no, now I'm twelve out here looking like a
- 37:50crazy person, like a crazy kid who can't ride a bike. I know,
- 37:53I got pressure. Now I'm not going to do it. I'll do
- 37:55it next year. It's like Monica Geller from Friends, Ye when she's like
- 38:00twelve years old when she learned to tell time. Yeah, totally, that's
- 38:07okay. I think I believed in Santa Claus until I was eleven. Are
- 38:08you serious. I really wanted Santa be real. My childhood life was such
- 38:15a bummer and it was so hard. The only thing we ever really had
- 38:19was Christmas, and so I needed Santa to be real. That is really
- 38:23cute. Yeah, I was entering puberty and I was still trying to pla.
- 38:30Oh my god, that's so sad, all right. The final this
- 38:34wig, I swear to god, it's alive. It's sentence. It's like
- 38:37Medusa hair is trying to get in my mouthcarnated in your wig. The final
- 38:43segment is the conclusion of the information revealed by Mary. Again, we pick
- 38:50up here and she talks about in the beginning of the relationship how she had
- 38:53a lot of doubts. She didn't really know whether she wanted to go all
- 38:57in with this kind of lifestyle with Cody, but he was always reassuring.
- 39:00He promised to love her forever, and she thought their commitment would actually mean
- 39:07something to him. So she's throwing some bombs back it is. I mean,
- 39:12she should be, and she has every right to, because it is
- 39:14really hypocritical of Cody. Now, I will say, though, I think
- 39:19when she had that little internet affair with the cat fish, I think that
- 39:23really broke his heart, like actually, and I think that's probably where.
- 39:27Yes, I really do think that that actually broke the catfish broke Cody's heart
- 39:31because they weren't having a actual marriage and I would have seen intimacy for years
- 39:37before that. I think he was overjoyed. I know, I interrupted you
- 39:40him. Sorry, such a bully, I know, but I feel like
- 39:44he was overjoyed because finally he had an excuse to get out of the marriage,
- 39:47and he ended up using it, leveraging it, weaponizing her catfishing in
- 39:52order to get that divorce from her and Mary Robin legally. Am I correct
- 39:58in the timeline of that, I think. So we have to go back
- 40:00and watch those seasons, and I'm excited to do those recaps and stuff so
- 40:04we can actually see it happen as it happens. But no, I think
- 40:08it actually really fucked up his ego. I think it really bothered him deep
- 40:13down. And I think that's why part of the reason why their relationship is
- 40:15the way it is. There's a difference between fucking up my ego and breaking
- 40:19my heart. Well, I think it broke his heart too. I don't
- 40:21think I think he did love her I don't think he loved her. I
- 40:23think he loved her. There was you can see it in the chemistry in
- 40:27the first couple when they were in Vegas and she was catfishing him. I
- 40:30think he was done with her by then. Well, he was done with
- 40:32all of the wives by then, because he was he was having a sexual
- 40:37renaissance with Jane. Honey, Janelle doesn't need to lie. Listen, Let's
- 40:45talk about the motivation for this whole sexual renaissance for Janelle in Las Vegas.
- 40:50All right, And if she's been the money bags this whole entire time,
- 40:52of course he's going to need to have a renaissance with her and try to
- 40:57swoon her and get her all. Is she money? She was a bookkeeper.
- 41:00The most she was making in Salt Lake City was I don't know,
- 41:04twenty seven to thirty two thousand dollars a year, which again is more than
- 41:07Cody Brown because as he ever had a job, I don't know, and
- 41:09none of the other people were working in this family. But she was not
- 41:14rich. It's not like she was bringing home six figures, honey. No,
- 41:16But she was worried about those bills. Don't you remember when they had
- 41:19to go to consignment furniture shopping with mister Theo. Yes, when they first
- 41:22got and she's worried about it because I don't know how I'm gonna pay bills
- 41:25next month. Yeah, she's not money bags. No, she's not money
- 41:29bags, persus Mary's money bags. Mary's money bags. Yeah. But like
- 41:32if Janelle's keeping track of where all the money is going and none of the
- 41:37other wives know where the money's actually going, he does kind of have to
- 41:39sweet talk her and keep her loyal, stuck to his ball and chain the
- 41:44whole entire time. I don't think so. I think if he is motivated
- 41:47by that, then he would have been rubbing up against Mary because Mary was
- 41:51doing lularoe by then. Mary was making money at that point. That's why
- 41:54she wanted the wet Bar, because she wanted to be able to schmooz her
- 41:58MLM friends. Why she needed the place because she had all of her inventory.
- 42:01She was working with Mattie at the time, like she was making a
- 42:04lot of money. So using that logic, he would have wanted to romance
- 42:07her, but he was not doing that. She was lonely, af but
- 42:12she was looking for any kind of love and intimacy and that's how she got
- 42:15catfish. Well, yeah, but he also knew that Mary would never really
- 42:19leave him though. I mean, look at her right now. It's been
- 42:22eight years of having nothing, absolutely nothing in a marriage with Cody, and
- 42:25she's still pining over him, begging for him to try. Like he knew
- 42:30she would never really leave, and then she has this catfish and it's like
- 42:34a huge blow to his ego. Probably broke his heart a little bit because
- 42:37he probably did love her, just like with how he loved Christine. He
- 42:40loved Christine. He says he didn't. Well, I think that he says
- 42:44he never loved Mary. I think that's a lie. And he said he
- 42:46used to love Janelle. I think that's all a lie. He's a gaslighting
- 42:50liar. I agree. I just I don't know. I don't know about
- 42:52all of that. I'd say interested now in Las Vegas, did have I
- 42:58think they've got a vibe to get her. I think their bodies fit just
- 43:01right Beatrice. I think it's sexy sixty times when they wanted to be Yes.
- 43:06I think I know it's a Taurus. She's a sensual, beautiful mommy,
- 43:10and she loves when he has a man bun and so he comes on
- 43:15over when she's in Vegas and the cold sag and he saunters and sashets himself
- 43:19into her house and he's got that man bun on. He's like, what's
- 43:22cooking, Mama? She says, you know, it's cooking this poonnani hot
- 43:28for you, Papa. Did you write me any poetry? I don't know,
- 43:31so I don't know about all that. All Right, back to Mary,
- 43:37she's really devastated. Here's where she talks about the fact that he said
- 43:42he never loved her. Yeah, he only ever, I guess went through
- 43:45the motions to affirm their union. And she says, we can go back
- 43:49and ask anybody that man loved me and I loved him, and I believe
- 43:52her. I see the pictures, and I watched the earlier seasons. As
- 43:55we said, yep, so no lies detected. The only person line is
- 44:00Cody for sure. Mary says that Cody told her directly that they are never
- 44:07going to have a marriage relationship ever again ever again. So Mary in this
- 44:14moment, because we end this episode with her saying, I don't know what
- 44:17I'm gonna do. Yeah, And I'm like, Mary, how do you
- 44:22not know what you're gonna do. When he finally said it as clearly as
- 44:27possible yet that there is no way that we are ever going to be together
- 44:30in a relationship. I do not see myself in your life in any way.
- 44:35I don't want to be in your life in any way. Yep.
- 44:37I think he even said to her like, I don't even care to be
- 44:43interjected into your life in any way because I don't. I don't care,
- 44:45like I don't care what you do. I don't care if you're alive or
- 44:47dead. That's essentially what he said to her. You're right, And then
- 44:51he's saying that our marriage is over, there's nothing. I don't even know
- 44:53why you call me. I don't even know why you called me today on
- 44:57our anniversary, like I even give a shit. He's being very direct with
- 45:00her and very much I don't know what I'm going to do, because he
- 45:05has to be, because she's pining, she's dreaming, she's hoping, she's
- 45:08praying. I guess, like you need to hear what I'm saying to you.
- 45:12It is never going to work out. I think there's a kind of
- 45:15kindness in that he's like, let yeah, let me actually go pick you
- 45:16up, let me take you to a restaurant and break it to you as
- 45:20gently as possible that this shit is over. And Mary, you have to
- 45:23hear me. Mary, you are free to go live your life and do
- 45:27what you want to do. And she even says in this segment, I've
- 45:30got two choices. The first choice is I can continue to live the way
- 45:34I have been living for the last eight years, which is as a fiercely
- 45:37independent, badass woman doing my own thing. I'm like, okay, lady,
- 45:40whatever, all right, okay, or I can terminate this relationship,
- 45:46terminate it, terminate it. Then she says, but that really goes against
- 45:50my values, which I think. Here again, she's talking about her religious
- 45:53values and so that doesn't sit right with her, so she's not comfortable to
- 45:57do that. And then she says, I don't know what to do.
- 46:00You don't have anything to do. This man has told you he's not married
- 46:05to you, yep, and he does not give a shit at all,
- 46:07So why are you even here? And I was asking Ethel about all this
- 46:10because I'm just like, why doesn't Cody just be honest with all of these
- 46:14women and say that I fell in love with Robin, I fell out of
- 46:16love with you, guys. I found my person and I'm just done,
- 46:20and like, let's just cut our losses and try to have a nice,
- 46:24amicable relationship with all the kids and all of that. Why doesn't he just
- 46:28say that? And Ethel's like, well, it goes against their whole religious
- 46:31doctrine, and I guess with their aub religion and the Mormon God on colob
- 46:37the only thing that they give the women in this polygamy relationship type thing is
- 46:44that the women have the choice to leave and it doesn't affect them so negatively
- 46:49on the planets or something, and it doesn't look bad on Cody on his
- 46:52man planet. But if Cody, sorry, I know this is so ridiculous,
- 46:59but if Cody told the wives I want to leave you, then it
- 47:02demotes him on his man planet, right, So then he goes farther away
- 47:07from God on cool op So if he initiates a divorce with one of his
- 47:10wives, he pays a higher price in the afterlife. Yes, there were
- 47:15some comments from folks on YouTube that are like that whole planet thing is not
- 47:20actually true. It's not in the religion. And then there are people on
- 47:23Reddit that are like, no, it's absolutely in the religion. Yeah,
- 47:27and you have Ethel obviously, who is former Mormon, saying yes, it's
- 47:31not as basic as we painted out to be. But like, essentially,
- 47:36the afterlife is a big deal, and if you are married to a woman
- 47:39in your human life, you're going to take her with you to wherever you
- 47:43go planet or otherwise in your eternal life. And so Mary wants to be
- 47:46with him in the eternal life. Yep. That was what her hope was.
- 47:51That is what she bought into. And so now you're telling me that
- 47:53you don't want anything to do with me, So why would I want?
- 47:55It's been a journey dy with you. And to that, I say,
- 47:59yeah, no, duh, why would you want to? Yes, I
- 48:01don't understand, but like this is the whole predicament that both Mary and Janelle
- 48:07are in. They're both wrestling with their faith with all of this because they
- 48:09believe in these marriages being eternal and spiritual and all of that hogwash. But
- 48:15I'm just like, come on, ladies, I don't understand. Have some
- 48:19dignity. Find yourself another Mormon man. If you want, Janelle, if
- 48:22you want to go back into plural marriage, that's cool. Whatever. I'm
- 48:25not gonna judge you. I mean, I will judge you a little bit,
- 48:28but I'm not gonna judge you super hard and go find a new planet.
- 48:31Like you don't have to be on Cody Brown's planet with fucking Robert Well.
- 48:36I mean, I guess they wouldn't even really be on his planet because
- 48:38he doesn't really consider himself married to these two. No, he doesn't,
- 48:42so they would be on their own separate moons, or doesn't even get a
- 48:45planet if he's not a polagamist. I don't know, can some Mormons in
- 48:50an actual education. I know we're speaking out of ignorance. We've heard things,
- 48:53we've read things, but like we're not Mormons, so we don't actually
- 48:55know. But yeah, there's a ramification for Cody Brown. There is a
- 48:59ramification for Mary. I think Mary's very offended that he is going back on
- 49:05his commitment to take care of her in this life and in the afterlife.
- 49:07But nonetheless, in the conversation that she has with him at the restaurant,
- 49:12she says, well, should we make an announcement? Then? Yeah?
- 49:15Should we just tell people that we're no longer together? And he says,
- 49:20uh, No, because I get too much criticism as it is, and
- 49:23I don't want people talking about me. I don't want people shaming me,
- 49:28So let's just keep it to ourselves. What a dick? And Mary,
- 49:30why do you even ask? Why did you don't have to ask him?
- 49:34Right? You can just walk away from that conversation, go home, pull
- 49:37up your Instagram and make your own damn statement. Why are you still trying
- 49:40to consider him in everything that you're doing? This man doesn't care about you,
- 49:45Nope, he only cares how he looks to everybody else. Even though
- 49:49he's not on Instagram, he's not active on the social media's because he knows
- 49:52how he's being perceived. He only gives a shit about that. He does
- 49:57not care about Mary and her feelings. No, he doesn't care where she
- 50:00goes or what she's doing in her life because he literally does not give a
- 50:04shit except for how he's going to be looked at and criticized for losing another
- 50:10marriage. Right, and Mary on the Couch says, this is my story
- 50:15too. Yeah, I should have every right to speak and tell my story.
- 50:21Yes, queen, but she never did. I know she waited until
- 50:24after last seasons. Tell nothings to issue a joint statement with Cody, So
- 50:30she honored his request, his need to control the situation and to control his
- 50:34image, and she played into it. Yeah, like, I just want
- 50:37you to stand up, tell the truth, tell us how you feel,
- 50:39tell you tell us how you feel about him, even if you love him
- 50:42and want them, tell us the truth, right, just be honest.
- 50:45Isn't she all they do is lie? I know. Isn't she still going
- 50:49to come out with a book or did she already come out with that?
- 50:51No? What didn't she come out with a No, we've talked about it.
- 50:53We put it on a vision board that she was writing about to write
- 50:57a book. Yeah, I can see her doing. I thought she was
- 50:59talking about writing a book or something, or maybe that was just a fever.
- 51:00She's made a couple of Instagram posts where she's like, don't worry,
- 51:04I'm going to speak out on this at some point in the future when the
- 51:07time is right for me. So she makes cryptic kind of statements like that,
- 51:12like never really set a book. Well, I mean that would be
- 51:15so odd. I would buy that book. I would buy that book,
- 51:16just like the Britney Spears book. Oh my god, like I need to
- 51:20buy that book. I know I need to. I've heard it's crazy.
- 51:22Justin Timberlake is getting dragged for having a good micro, a little baby penis
- 51:30and pamper penipper. He'sis she couldn't even be baby. She's like, oh
- 51:35my god, my world was collapsing around this man has no penis. Justin
- 51:39Timberlake for real, but an asshole. He cheated on her multiple times before
- 51:43she ever cheated with that wide guy, and then dragged her publicly through the
- 51:46mud. Also during the Super Bowl with Janet Jackson where she had her wardrobe
- 51:52malfunction. That whole thing was his idea and he let her take the fall.
- 51:57So it is time for a reckoning for Justin Timberlake. You know what,
- 52:00It's time for a reckoning for Cody Brown. But you know what,
- 52:04Mary, I'm putting some of this accountability on you. Yep, I'm putting
- 52:07some of this responsibility on you. You are the captain of your own ship,
- 52:13yes, honey, and it is up to you how you want to
- 52:15live your life. I don't fall to you for loving this man, You've
- 52:17been with him for thirty two years. But I do just want better for
- 52:21you because week after week he is humiliating you and making her look like a
- 52:25schmoh on national television, and you're letting him and he's wasting your life,
- 52:30like he's taking so much of your time and energy because you're just begging for
- 52:36him to be something that he will never be for you ever again, and
- 52:38you were just wasting your time, Like, go be happy with somebody else.
- 52:43You deserve that, you deserve to get your back blown out by somebody.
- 52:46I just want that for her, preferably by a biker person. Now
- 52:50she can go to that because finally he said it with his actual big boy
- 52:53words. He told her it's never gonna happen. And so now it's on
- 52:55you Mary to guad and make a life for yourself that you will love.
- 53:00This is where the episode ends with her saying, I don't know what I'm
- 53:04going to do, so annoying. The choice is not yours because he walked
- 53:07away from you. Yeah, we go to the preview and we see next
- 53:09week that it's Christine's fiftieth birthday party. She's celebrating, she's having fun single.
- 53:15Well she's dating though, Yeah, she's dating a lot. What she
- 53:19said, do we think she's dating David Woolley at this time. I kind
- 53:22of hope, so I would love to see that. I think that she's
- 53:24met him already, I hope. So wow. We also see that Cody
- 53:29comes over to Janelle's apartment to check it out, but he can tell that
- 53:35there's no place for him there. He's not going to be spending anytime there,
- 53:38and Janelle and Savannah actually look uncomfortable with him in their space. And
- 53:44finally we have Mary saying that they haven't had a marriage for years. For
- 53:51eight years, I guess, and screw him. He's not worth it.
- 53:53So okay, so you don't know what you're going to do, but then
- 53:57the next episode, screw him, he's not worth it. Right. I
- 54:00wonder if when she's on the couch, she's trying to narrate where she was
- 54:04at the time, but she's not necessarily aligned perfectly with what they're showing in
- 54:08terms of footage, And how can you blame her because they're just patching together
- 54:13all this footage from all the different seasons extra shit, right, So maybe
- 54:16she's thinking, at the time, you know, I didn't really know which
- 54:19way I was going to go, But then by the next episode, she's
- 54:22like no, screw him. He's not worth it, and we need the
- 54:24era of Mary getting mad and opening her mouth and telling us about it.
- 54:29That's what we need over here. We do. And I was really hoping
- 54:30that this episode was going to have the whole picnic table thing on Coyote Pass
- 54:36and the whole confrontation. I feel like they're going to just save that for
- 54:37the season finale, which is just so annoying. And I thought this episode
- 54:42was weirdly patched together anyway, because you have all of these really sad scenes
- 54:45with Mary talking about the disillusion of her marriage and all this shit, paired
- 54:50with Mikelti and Tony talking about their twins like I give a shit, and
- 54:53then truly riding a bike. It's just like super weird that they paired all
- 54:58of that with this depressing ass, heavy ass information that they're seemingly splitting into
- 55:05two different episodes because we're still getting more of this conversation next episode. It's
- 55:08like, Okay, well, I'm thinking that Mary and Cody's anniversary was like
- 55:15around April. We see Janelle doing her garden sometime in June because she's planting
- 55:20a little bit late. So I just feel like they're all over the place.
- 55:22There are no like continuity to kind of anchor yourself and figure out where
- 55:27you are with this family, because it's all, like I said, cobbled
- 55:30together. And this is gonna proved Robin and Cody's whole narrative that they're getting
- 55:35a bad edit because they are splicing all of this shit into all these different
- 55:39times. It's very weird. But I can't use what you don't give them,
- 55:43Honey, I mean, that's the truth right there. So any final
- 55:45thoughts about this episode, Beatrice? It was kind of boring, but I
- 55:51mean, what dirty laundry did we air? Really? Besides what we already
- 55:54know, which is that Cody and Mary are not married. I mean,
- 55:59I mean, I guess mad I was really interested to hear that bit of
- 56:01information because they think we've all been wondering, like what does Maddie think?
- 56:06And also what does Caleb think? Because Caleb and Cody used to have a
- 56:08bit of a bromance. But we really really liked Caleb and we saw the
- 56:12footage of him marrying them. I don't know we needed to see that,
- 56:15but I thought that was super interesting and I kind of love how Janelle is
- 56:20just coming in and saying, yeah, he's getting what he's giving, and
- 56:22no, she's not calling him because his behavior has been atrocious and she's trying
- 56:27to take care of her kids. We don't want our children around a crazy
- 56:30man. Yeah. I do really love too, and I want really more
- 56:32of that because Janelle's the only one that's really being honest here. I mean
- 56:37Christine somewhat. Christine has that whole passive aggressive undertone underneath all of it.
- 56:43But Janelle, Yeah, she's got the real tea. Yes, and I
- 56:45want more of it, and I want that from Mary. I think we
- 56:47can get there, Mary, I think we can get there. That's what
- 56:50I want. Yes, hashtag wory up. All right, Well, that
- 56:54was fantastic for our one hundredth episode. I love that our one hundredth episode
