  Speaker 1: of the Lord. There is such a place. As the

  Speaker 1: house of God. Or the house of the Lord. And

  Speaker 1: the psalmist said I was glad. I hope you know

  Speaker 1: that he had a palace. He had other places he

  Speaker 1: could go and he had gone to. But he said

  Speaker 1: I was glad when they said unto me. Let us

  Speaker 1: go into the house of the Lord. One of the

  Speaker 1: major indicators. Please lend me your attention now. One of

  Speaker 1: the major indicators that you love God is your passion

  Speaker 1: for his house. Hallelujah. It is impossible to claim that

  Speaker 1: you love God and not have your passion reflected in

  Speaker 1: his house. Your love for the house of God is

  Speaker 1: proof that you love God. Psalm 26 and verse 8.

  Speaker 1: verse 8. Lord, I have loved the habitation of thy

  Speaker 1: Bible tells us that David sat in his house. And

  Speaker 1: he began to contemplate after God had given him rest.

  Speaker 1: I'm trying to show you something about the house of

  Speaker 1: God this morning. David said, Solomon my son is young

  Speaker 1: and old. and tender and the house that is to

  Speaker 1: be builded for the Lord must be exceeding magnificent of

  Speaker 1: fame and of glory throughout all countries I will therefore
• 10:12
  Speaker 1: now make preparation for it so David prepared abundantly before
• 10:17
  Speaker 1: his death Reading to 11, verse 6. Then he called
• 10:22
  Speaker 1: for Solomon his son and charged him to build a
• 10:26
  Speaker 1: house for the Lord God of Israel. It says, and

  Speaker 1: David said to Solomon, my son, as for me, it
• 10:33
  Speaker 1: was in my mind to build a house unto the
• 10:37
  Speaker 1: name of the Lord my God. But the word of
• 10:41
  Speaker 1: the Lord came to me saying, thou has shed blood

  Speaker 1: abundantly and has made great wars. Therefore thou shalt not
• 10:50
  Speaker 1: build an house unto my name, because thou hast shed
• 10:53
  Speaker 1: much blood upon the earth in my sight. That was

  Speaker 1: enough for the man to be angry. You didn't ask me,

  Speaker 1: so it's not if I refuse, it's not disobedience. Because

  Speaker 1: I was not instructed. And he said, even though I

  Speaker 1: have been prohibited on account of the blood that I

  Speaker 1: had shed, I will still make preparation. In any case,

  Speaker 1: let a house be built for the Lord. But the

  Speaker 1: word of the Lord came to me saying, thou hast

  Speaker 1: a son shall be born unto thee. This is God

  Speaker 1: speaking to him. Whom shall be a man of rest.

  Speaker 1: round about. For his name shall be Solomon. And I

  Speaker 1: will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days.

  Speaker 1: Two more verses 10. He shall build a house for

  Speaker 1: my name. And he shall be my son. And I

  Speaker 1: will be his father forever. And I will establish the

  Speaker 1: throne of his kingdom over Israel forever. Final verse. Now

  Speaker 1: my son, the Lord be with thee and prosper thou

  Speaker 1: and build the house of the Lord thy God as

  Speaker 1: he has said unto you. It is impossible to say

  Speaker 1: you love the Lord and yet not have that love

  Speaker 1: expressed as far as the house of God is concerned.

  Speaker 1: Are we learning? This is very important. There are many
• 12:18
  Speaker 1: believers who profess loving Jesus. We sing loving Jesus. We
• 12:22
  Speaker 1: cry loving Jesus. But it is very clear that our
• 12:26
  Speaker 1: love is found wanting when it has to do with
• 12:29
  Speaker 1: the matters of the house of God. Psalm 92 and
• 12:37
  Speaker 1: verse 13, profound scripture. It says, they that be planted
• 12:43
  Speaker 1: in the house of God. They that be planted. I
• 12:47
  Speaker 1: thought you would say they that are of God. And
• 12:50
  Speaker 1: yet the Bible says when it has to do with
• 12:52
  Speaker 1: the believers flourishing, it says you must be planted in
• 12:56
  Speaker 1: a particular location. The Bible calls it the house of God.

  Speaker 1: They that be planted in the house of God. It
• 13:04
  Speaker 1: immediately tells you that the house of God is a
• 13:07
  Speaker 1: mysterious place. I wrote a few things here that I
• 13:10
  Speaker 1: wanted to pay attention to. Number one, that the house
• 13:13
  Speaker 1: of God is beyond a building where congregants meet. Please
• 13:17
  Speaker 1: listen carefully. The house of God is beyond a building
• 13:22
  Speaker 1: where congregants meet. It is not the building that makes
• 13:27
  Speaker 1: the place called the house of God. It is beyond
• 13:30
  Speaker 1: the building where congregants meet. The house of God is
• 13:35
  Speaker 1: beyond a venue for church or Christian programs. To the
• 13:40
  Speaker 1: average believer, every time you talk about the house of God,
• 13:44
  Speaker 1: they mean based on their understanding that venue where our
• 13:48
  Speaker 1: church meets, that location where we converge, that is not
• 13:52
  Speaker 1: the house of God. Are we together now? When this

  Speaker 1: building was gutted by fire earlier this year, It was
• 14:03
  Speaker 1: not the house of God that burned. No. Are we together?

  Speaker 1: It was a physical building that was made of brick
• 14:13
  Speaker 1: and mortar that burned. The house of God cannot be burned.

  Speaker 1: The house of God cannot be destroyed. It's important that
• 14:21
  Speaker 1: we give ourselves this reorientation. That the house of God
• 14:25
  Speaker 1: is beyond a building where congregants meet. The house of
• 14:30
  Speaker 1: God is beyond a venue.
• 14:34
  Speaker 1: Before arriving here, finally I understand you sojourned at least
• 14:38
  Speaker 1: two locations. Am I right on that? From the time
• 14:41
  Speaker 1: this building was gutted by fire. And for every one
• 14:44
  Speaker 1: of those meetings, you believed you were in the house
• 14:46
  Speaker 1: of God. And you were right. What makes a place
• 14:50
  Speaker 1: a house of God? If you find this secret, you
• 14:53
  Speaker 1: can replicate that atmosphere anywhere. Because the house of God

  Speaker 1: was not supposed to become... a religious location that is

  Speaker 1: just stuck with the mind and there are many believers
• 15:09
  Speaker 1: who do not know that their homes can become a
• 15:12
  Speaker 1: house of God that their offices can become a house
• 15:16
  Speaker 1: of God that their bodies in fact can become a
• 15:19
  Speaker 1: house of God are we together so a lot of
• 15:24
  Speaker 1: religiosity happens within church and once people get out of
• 15:28
  Speaker 1: church in their minds they are out of the house
• 15:31
  Speaker 1: of God According to scripture, there are five biblical requirements
• 15:46
  Speaker 1: for any place to be called the house of God.

  Speaker 1: And this is my church was this morning as we pray.

  Speaker 1: There are five biblical requirements. If these requirements are not

  Speaker 1: met in any building, in any location, it cannot be

  Speaker 1: called the house of God. Number one. The house of

  Speaker 1: God according to scripture must be a house of prayer

  Speaker 1: for all nations. The house of God. The first requirement

  Speaker 1: for any structure, any gathering of a people to be

  Speaker 1: called the house of God is that it must be

  Speaker 1: non-negotiably so. It must be a house of prayer. Mark 11,

  Speaker 1: 15 to 17. Someone say a house of prayer. Please
• 16:36
  Speaker 1: shout it. Say a house of prayer. So whether it
• 16:40
  Speaker 1: is a location for a self-fellowship, whether it is a
• 16:44
  Speaker 1: place of gathering like this, whether it's the beautiful sights,
• 16:48
  Speaker 1: the messy seats when built, whether it's your office, anywhere
• 16:52
  Speaker 1: two or three are gathered provided it is called a
• 16:56
  Speaker 1: place of prayer. It qualifies to be called the house
• 16:59
  Speaker 1: of God. 16th. And would not suffer aloud that any
• 17:20
  Speaker 1: man should carry any vessel through the temple. Read verse
• 17:24
  Speaker 1: 17 with me please if you can see. Ready? One

  Speaker 1: to read. And he taught saying unto them. Is it

  Speaker 1: not written? My house shall be called of all nations

  Speaker 1: a house of prayer. But ye have made it a

  Speaker 1: made it. The efficiency and the consistency of your prayer

  Speaker 1: is your invitation. That Lord this place is sacred, sanctified.

  Speaker 1: dedicated unto you. Everybody say house of prayer. If household

  Speaker 1: of David as a church, if the membership of this
• 18:25
  Speaker 1: great assembly must be called the house of God, then

  Speaker 1: there must be a people of prayer and this church

  Speaker 1: must be a church, a place, a ground of prayer.

  Speaker 1: Prayer consistently, prayer as a revelation. Not just a ritual

  Speaker 1: to satisfy spirituality. The Bible says he spake a parable.

  Speaker 1: a receiver. In the name of Jesus Christ. The grace

  Speaker 1: fearful believer to a courageous believer, from a weak believer

  Speaker 1: a spiritual believer. So the house of God, if it

  Speaker 1: must remain so, must become a house of prayer. Are

  Speaker 1: you ready for the next key? The second biblical requirement

  Speaker 1: for any place to be called the house of God

  Speaker 1: is that it must become, it must be a place

  Speaker 1: of revelation, understanding, and transformation. Write it so. Revelation, understanding,

  Speaker 1: and transformation. Any convergence of believers that does not capture

  Speaker 1: an opportunity for revelation, understanding and transformation. And that by

  Speaker 1: the word cannot be called the house of God. Hallelujah.

  Speaker 1: think it's Psalm 73 and verse 17 or so. It says,

  Speaker 1: when I came into the sanctuary, then understood I. He

  Speaker 1: was speaking contextually about the end of the wicked. But

  Speaker 1: understanding can be found in the house of God. Until

  Speaker 1: I went into the sanctuary of God, then understood I.

  Speaker 1: Understanding happens in the house of God. Are we together?

  Speaker 1: The place where the word of God is methodically taught.

  Speaker 1: Line upon line. Precept upon precept. Here a little, there

  Speaker 1: a little. I'm sure many of you have. Listen carefully

  Speaker 1: to my contemplations as to how believers become matured. Believers

  Speaker 1: will never become matured for as long as we cherry

  Speaker 1: pick topics and just bring at random. No. There is

  Speaker 1: a curriculum. Every doctor in college, every engineer, by the

  Speaker 1: time you are given admission, the university is not wondering
• 23:31
  Speaker 1: what to teach you. There is an exact body of
• 23:34
  Speaker 1: knowledge that turns you to an architect, turns you to
• 23:37
  Speaker 1: a doctor. Are we together? There is an exact body
• 23:41
  Speaker 1: of knowledge that should turn any believer to become wholesome, powerful, transformed.

  Speaker 1: This is the assignment of the teaching priest. He says,

  Speaker 1: and I will give you pastors, shepherds, according to my heart,

  Speaker 1: and they will feed you with knowledge, they will feed
• 23:59
  Speaker 1: you with understanding. The house of God must become a

  Speaker 1: house where knowledge, revelation, where understanding and transformation. Transformation happens

  Speaker 1: when you understand the word enough to engage it for
• 24:19
  Speaker 1: your growth. The profit point of the word is your transformation.

  Speaker 1: If you cannot be transformed by any word, it has
• 24:27
  Speaker 1: not profited you. Did you hear that? Listen, the benefit
• 24:32
  Speaker 1: of the word to the believer is not in your
• 24:35
  Speaker 1: knowing it, it's not in your hearing it, it's not
• 24:38
  Speaker 1: even in your rejoicing over it. Your ability to understand
• 24:42
  Speaker 1: that word enough to engage it for your transformation. It

  Speaker 1: is at the point you are transformed that the word
• 24:49
  Speaker 1: profits you. Hallelujah. The house of God must be A

  Speaker 1: place of revelation, understanding and transformation. Again, I pray for

  Speaker 1: household of David from the depth of my heart. I

  Speaker 1: pray particularly for all the teaching priests and they who
• 25:12
  Speaker 1: serve God's grace in word and doctrine. Let the spirit

  Speaker 1: of revelation rest upon you. That in the name of
• 25:19
  Speaker 1: Jesus Christ, you will come into an accurate understanding of
• 25:24
  Speaker 1: the ways of God. In the name of Jesus Christ.

  Speaker 1: They just give all kinds of ungodly amounts. Bring this

  Speaker 1: before this time otherwise. And they will do it truly.

  Speaker 1: Because their hearts have been seared. They don't have a conscience.

  Speaker 1: The church is not all about collecting money from people, unfortunately.
