- 0:36None. And what's up everybody?
- 0:43How you doing tonight? It's Kefi.
- 0:45It goes cold. mag.com back with another rock and metal news
- 0:49show, The weekly Ritual. Rock and metal news were
- 0:51everywhere on the web. Tried to go live like in the
- 0:55last hour like 5 or 6 times and the gear just would not
- 1:00cooperate. I'm shuttling back and forth
- 1:03between my apartment in San Francisco at my girlfriend's
- 1:07house, which you see me here all the time.
- 1:10And yeah, just a fucking hassle today.
- 1:13Just a fucking hassle. Pop open on Liquid Death.
- 1:18Mango Chainsaw. I have a lifetime supply of
- 1:20these. No, I don't, but I wish I did.
- 1:26Dave is here. Auntie Mosby's.
- 1:28What's up, brother? Excited for your new album
- 1:30coming soon. Live on ALL THE THINGS.
- 1:34The best experience for this show is as always, YouTube,
- 1:39Facebook, Twitch, Instagram, but I also like hanging out on the
- 1:43tick of the talk. So if you are there, thanks.
- 1:46This show will always be free. We do have a tip menu which I'll
- 1:50post up in a minute. Gabe, thank you for your coffee
- 1:53earlier. That was really sweet of you.
- 1:55Again, my real ones, my everydayers, you're all fam.
- 1:59I appreciate you. But of course, you know, we do
- 2:03get some advertising money, but we are not corporate backed, so,
- 2:09you know, we'll see if these work or not.
- 2:10I am unsure, but I'm glad you're here Gabe.
- 2:14Thanks for being here. Looks like we've got some
- 2:15watchers on the wall already. And what a crazy week in music,
- 2:22right? What an absolute crazy, batshit
- 2:25insane time in the world. I hope everybody is good out
- 2:28there. I'm trying to do my best to keep
- 2:31it together. I'm hungry also.
- 2:34So this has gone very late and my poor girlfriend is waiting
- 2:37for me. So without further ado, let's do
- 2:41the damn thing. As always, I make a little deck
- 2:43to help with this. Again, feel free to watch.
- 2:48Let's let's jam on it right into it.
- 2:52We always start with the announcements.
- 2:53There's always some sad and complicated news.
- 2:57A reminder, we are giving away tickets to see Echo and the
- 3:00Bunnymen in Los Angeles. Please don't enter unless you
- 3:03have a realistic shot of going to the show.
- 3:05But West Coasters, Californians, Nevada, Arizona, you know, New
- 3:11Mexico, theoretically you could make it in for the show.
- 3:15Or if you're in the LA area and you love Echo in the Bunning.
- 3:18And I'm super stoked to once again team up with Golden Voice
- 3:22on this. I'm really happy and appreciate
- 3:24that they like us as a partner. It's super cool to me.
- 3:29I think it's cool. I'm rather pleased.
- 3:32Looks like we got some people watching on the book of faces.
- 3:34We got some people watching on the tube of you and just thanks
- 3:39for being here. You could you could spend your
- 3:41time with anybody, but you're here with us, which is really
- 3:43nice. I'm appreciative.
- 3:46And if you are new here, check us out at ghostcodeman.com.
- 3:50Follow us and we will follow you back.
- 3:52And in addition to this, hey, Wimsey Fox is here.
- 3:56What's up? In addition to this giveaway,
- 3:58we're going to be doing some more giveaways next week for
- 4:01free vinyl and all kinds of stuff.
- 4:03So hang with us and it'll we'll make it worth your while, make
- 4:09you smile, because we're versatile.
- 4:11This is an interesting story that popped up this week.
- 4:13We always try to sit, share Gofundmes from our community in
- 4:18case people are feeling charitable and can help.
- 4:20I don't know if you know who Neil Jameson is of the US black
- 4:24metal band Krieg and Imperial and Neil and a bunch of others,
- 4:30but he was in Twilight, the big black metal super group, about
- 4:3310 years ago. Neil is also a journalist and he
- 4:36writes for Decibel. He writes a column as a sort of
- 4:39tastemaker about black metal and metal in general and the
- 4:42culture. And he is like Crocodile.
- 4:45Exactly. He has had to take full time
- 4:49care of his wife, who's got a recurrence of cancer, as well as
- 4:52their autistic toddler who needs full time supervision.
- 4:55So there is a GoFundMe on. I'll link it in the description
- 4:59when the show is over, but you can basically search GoFundMe.
- 5:03Jameson's one of the most recent post on our website, maybe
- 5:07yesterday. And yeah, Neil, I interviewed
- 5:10him once for Creed. Really great interview, just
- 5:13like you would imagine him to be.
- 5:15Very Creed of him very, you know, it's Creed, black metal,
- 5:22super smart guy, just tough, tough situation with his partner
- 5:26and his child. Just a reminder, man, like, you
- 5:32know, there's a lot of crummy actors out there in the music
- 5:35world who post bullshit stories everyday.
- 5:37And I get that it's kind of probably hard to know what is
- 5:42real and what is fake out there, right?
- 5:44And I try to keep it real as much as humanly possible.
- 5:47But I get that it's challenging to do what we do.
- 5:51So we ran this story last week about Max and Gloria Cavalleri's
- 5:54daughter Christina, passing away at a very young age, in her 40s.
- 5:58And in like, 25 years or less, she had put together, like, a
- 6:04very impressive career in the music business.
- 6:06And I know there was probably some family drama that was and
- 6:09was not public. And people are, like, in the
- 6:12comments on Facebook, just shouting out their private dirty
- 6:16laundry like, it's a difficult time for the family.
- 6:19Don't tag Gloria and Max on their personal pages and a story
- 6:24about this. They know she's passed it Can't.
- 6:27I can't imagine what it must be like to bury a child.
- 6:30It must be horrible. So, you know, I just can't even
- 6:34imagine, you know, how that even would go.
- 6:37So, you know, be a little more thoughtful.
- 6:40You don't need to come in the comments and be arguing about
- 6:43like whether she was family and close with them or not.
- 6:47Like it's just dumb. You just look like a dummy.
- 6:50You seem like a Dick head. I don't understand why you would
- 6:55do this. You know, I don't fucking
- 6:58understand it. But anyway, you know, act
- 7:02appropriately. Everything is on fire.
- 7:05Act appropriately. Some other losses in the world
- 7:09this week. Robert Duvall, 95 years old,
- 7:12legendary actor. Most people know him from The
- 7:14Godfather and Apocalypse Now. He was one of the toughest and
- 7:19most prolific, greatest actors of our lifetime.
- 7:22That was incredible. He had a tremendous and profound
- 7:26impact on the film industry. And you know, directors were
- 7:33said to have, you know, he challenged them at their craft
- 7:37sometimes. You know, again, I think about
- 7:39Dennis Hopper, some of my favorite actors of all time just
- 7:42worked, worked, worked. And Duvall is one of those guys.
- 7:45Very sad. I know he lived a full life.
- 7:48He certainly had a great life. Also kind of really sad to me.
- 7:53Maybe a much more underground actor, but you no less great in
- 7:57my book. Tom Noonan.
- 7:59Here he is as Kelso and Heat. He always had a way as a as sort
- 8:03of a, you know, occasionally leading man, but mostly as a
- 8:06character actor. And he had a way of taking over
- 8:09a movie with his presence. This one scene where he's give
- 8:12you know, he's in a wheelchair and he's giving this score to De
- 8:16Niro's, you know, McCauley character.
- 8:19He was so good. Monster squad X-Files.
- 8:23You know, he had countless roles where he was incredible and and
- 8:28I think last action hero, right, he was a bad guy.
- 8:32So just you know, what a what a terrible loss.
- 8:34I think he died after a long illness at his home, which super
- 8:39sucks, just sucks. Thank you, Gabe.
- 8:42RIP indeed. You know, here's a few more.
- 8:45This week, Shootaro EDA who invented Castlevania died and
- 8:51pretty young, actually, about my age, maybe a little younger.
- 8:56Very sad, 52 years old. Another passing this week,
- 9:02Hideki Sato. If you played Kali, Sega or
- 9:06Kaliko in the 80s, this was the guy who made all these Sega
- 9:09Vision and Sega consoles. He literally invented them.
- 9:15And later what would become the Dreamcast.
- 9:17He lived a, you know, 76 years old.
- 9:20Very, very sad that he passed away.
- 9:22Giants of our childhood are leaving us.
- 9:25I don't know what to do. On a better note, celebrating a
- 9:29birthday today is the great godfather of metal, Tony Iommi,
- 9:33a Black Sabbath. He's got a solo album coming out
- 9:36soon. Also born this week in metal,
- 9:38Dave Lombardo, formerly of Slayer, currently of Mr. Bungle
- 9:41and a bunch of other bands. Taylor Hawkins would have
- 9:45celebrated her birthday this week.
- 9:48Also celebrating a birthday this week, both Levar Burton from
- 9:51Reading Rainbow and Star Trek the Next Generation, as well as
- 9:55Geordie Laforge. They share her birthday 3000
- 9:58years apart. Pretty fun.
- 10:00That's kind of fun. And also this week in metal
- 10:03history, a couple of factoids, Bond.
- 10:05Scott died and, you know, basically died after a night of
- 10:10drinking. They put him in his car to sober
- 10:12him up and he died very, very sad.
- 10:16And I believe they would have hired Brian Johnson a few months
- 10:19later. I know that dates are argued
- 10:21about or whatever. And also ten years ago, that's
- 10:25just more than 10 years ago, 13 years ago this week, Megadeth's
- 10:29Gigantor, which had many additions, but I went to this
- 10:33one. This date is not the date that I
- 10:35went to, but it was Megadeth, Motörhead, Volbeat, who was kind
- 10:38of a brand new band 1015 years ago, and Lacuna Coil.
- 10:44Rob Zombie releases next week The Great Satan, which is an
- 10:50inarguably fantastic title. At this time in the world that
- 10:53Rob Zombie's album is called The Great Satan, I'm not sure how
- 10:56good the record's going to be. I should go do maybe a live
- 10:59stream review of it next week. But yeah, Gigantor, I had a lot
- 11:03of fun, you know, obviously photographed Motörhead 3 times,
- 11:07photograph from Kunukoil that time.
- 11:08Volbe early on have a different band kind of now band members
- 11:12and Megadeth, the name Megadeth was great.
- 11:14I think that was the Chris Broderick.
- 11:18Sean drove her on the drums. Megadeth with Ellefson back in
- 11:21the band now departed. We'll talk about Dave Ellefson a
- 11:25little bit later. So just a reminder if you're new
- 11:29here and you're feeling tipsy, Gabe, thank you already for the
- 11:32payment earlier. Again, super nice.
- 11:35You know, we you will always answer your questions free.
- 11:37This is your show as well as it's mine.
- 11:40I often say in a lot of my interviews privately to artists
- 11:43like, hey, this is your interview too.
- 11:45And you know, I want you to get something out of it.
- 11:48So if you got a question about any of the stories we talk
- 11:51about, if you got some news you want to ask about if I missed
- 11:54something, if there's something on your mind, drop a comment,
- 11:57preferably on YouTube or here on TikTok or let's see if anybody's
- 12:02watching on the gram. Let's see, you got a few people.
- 12:07Let's see. Bootsy Salazar, RCS 84 Art in
- 12:11revolt is a regular Jeff guard. What up?
- 12:13What up T Fedded and Lilith on stage have all passed by on the
- 12:20Instagram, but drop a comment, join the club, join the
- 12:25conversation. There's our cash application.
- 12:26We're going to drop some cash app at Ghost Cult Mag on Venmo,
- 12:30cash app, PayPal, all the things.
- 12:33Kofi, buy us a coffee on Kofi. There's your things.
- 12:38And now it's time for some features here at Ghost Cult
- 12:40here, I'll put myself back on the screen.
- 12:42Hey, it's me. We ran a brand new interview
- 12:46with the band Friendship Commanders.
- 12:48Don De Lamont did that interview.
- 12:51Great band, put a record out last fall on the very fine folks
- 12:54at Magnetic Eye Records label. You've seen us interview a lot
- 12:58of their bands. There's some of their bands that
- 13:00have broken up in the time the labels existed and I'm saddened
- 13:03by this. But Friendship Commanders killer
- 13:05new album, their album is called Bear BEAR and check out our
- 13:12injury interview with Buick and Joe from Nashville produced
- 13:17their album was produced by Kurt Balu of of Converge, who has a
- 13:21new album out after last week. So real fun.
- 13:23And then just a reminder some of our recent interviews and we
- 13:26have some huge ones coming up. But some of our recent
- 13:28interviews include Mark Menge of king ultra mega and metal
- 13:32allegiance. The band 84 Days, which features
- 13:36members of Pennywise and super producer Cameron Oops, Trigger
- 13:44Finger, Itchy. Also David Jay of Bauhaus.
- 13:47I interviewed him about his new solo project.
- 13:50Really fun, really great. Kind of a bucket list type
- 13:53interview. Was really happy to get it.
- 13:58Let's see, you got a few more, you know, just check us out.
- 14:00We also have a podcast. The show will be a podcast also
- 14:04my because I don't have enough to do my other podcast, the
- 14:06Glacial Musical podcast. We had a Chaser episode in
- 14:09between series. We just wrapped up our new our
- 14:11recent series on Dio. We're starting a new series on
- 14:15Megadeth next week. I've been on a huge Megadeth
- 14:17kick today. Listen to like 5 records and
- 14:20AEP. And so we did a Chaser episode
- 14:24for a deep dive on record store date.
- 14:27As a vinyl collector and aficionado, I do get some stuff
- 14:31sent to me. I'm hopeful that a few things
- 14:34from the list will get sent to me early to review and unbox and
- 14:37do some content around. But we really dive deep into
- 14:41Record Store Day. But I'm going to do an
- 14:42additional. You should check out the Glacial
- 14:44Musical podcast. But additionally, I'm going to
- 14:47do a separate Record Store Day solo video just on the channel
- 14:51for Ghost Call specifically about my picks for Record Store
- 14:56Day, what I'm going to buy, and Megadeth, by the way, spoiler
- 15:00alert, there's a Megadeth release on Record Store date you
- 15:02need to have if you love thrash metal.
- 15:06But yeah, we're going to talk all about that.
- 15:08I can't wait. And again, this show's a
- 15:10podcast. All our shows are probably, you
- 15:12know, again, eventually become podcasts.
- 15:14We have some exclusive podcast interview stuff coming next
- 15:17week. The great Warren Haynes
- 15:19interviewed by Don Dillamont. I'm so stoked for that run.
- 15:22You know, like if you know classic Rock, You know who
- 15:25Warren Haynes is. And then I just thought this was
- 15:28hilarious. Sudden spike in vaginal dryness
- 15:32attributed to RFK and Kid Rock. The the, the least manly thing I
- 15:37can ever fucking think of is these two guys working out in a
- 15:40sauna. What in the actual fuck is going
- 15:42on with this country? Holy shit.
- 15:45Anyway, and now it's time for the news rundown and let's talk
- 15:51about some metal festivals. Metal festival time.
- 15:56Let's go. The Revenant is 10 years old
- 16:00this year, by the way. I am getting old.
- 16:02All right, Bourbon and Beyond was announced today.
- 16:03We've covered it a couple of times.
- 16:05Not exactly metal, but rock. Foo Fighters, Mumford and Sons,
- 16:08Chris Stapleton, great singer Dave Matthews Band, not a big
- 16:11fan. Queens of the Stone Age, Kacey
- 16:13Musgraves, The Red Clay Strays, Hootie and the Blowfish and a
- 16:19bunch of other artists. Usually a good time.
- 16:22It's the week after Louder Than Life most weeks, so it's two
- 16:28weeks in a row at the Kentucky Expo Center in Louisville.
- 16:31It's food, it's whiskey, it's beer.
- 16:34It's usually a great time. We have covered it before a
- 16:36couple times, so that's another Danny Wimmer festival.
- 16:39We're getting announcements about Louder Than Life, we're
- 16:41getting some leaks about Rockville, and I do believe the
- 16:44Aftershock lineup is coming completely on March the 3rd,
- 16:51although Down already leaked that they're playing it.
- 16:54So kind of fun. All right, Warp Tour continues
- 16:57to add new bands. We'll do the full Warp Tour
- 17:00rundown for all the dates once they're announced.
- 17:03Maybe we'll do a little live stream highlighting some
- 17:06festivals this spring, Washington DC in June, Long
- 17:10Beach, CA in July, Montreal in August, Mexico City, Mexico in
- 17:16September, and Orlando, FL in November.
- 17:20Hopefully we'll get to cover that.
- 17:21Mojave Experience is coming up in exactly 1 month in Joshua
- 17:25Tree, CA Earthless, Dead Meadow and a bunch of other bands.
- 17:28That's going to be great. Friday night at Mojave Gold and
- 17:32Saturday all day at Joshua Tree Park.
- 17:35Bandshell Super sick. We'll be doing more content and
- 17:38interviews and stuff with those bands and and the founder soon.
- 17:41Milwaukee Metal Fest is coming up soon.
- 17:44I might finally get to see Macabre.
- 17:46Every time I'm supposed to see them, either something comes up
- 17:49and I can't go where they cancel.
- 17:51I've never seen them. They're one of my favorite death
- 17:53metal bands of all time. And you know, they're a little
- 17:56old school death medley. They're not as technical as some
- 17:59other bands, but one of my absolute favorite, most charming
- 18:04and brilliant bands and I've never seen them and they are on
- 18:06this show. So among all the awesome bands
- 18:08on this bill, I would be almost most excited to see them.
- 18:13So fingers crossed for me that I get to do this.
- 18:16Also again, coming up in the summer, this is moved around
- 18:22between summer and fall. Might go in Orlando, dude, you
- 18:25might Body count pumping face to face are doing Camp
- 18:29Pennsylvania. This is the full line up now.
- 18:32We've interviewed about half this line up in the past.
- 18:34We might go cover it. We shall see.
- 18:37Also all Points E, an outbreak festival which is a london-based
- 18:42festival of punk and metal is being headlined by Deftones.
- 18:46Very exciting stuff where Deftones continue to have a
- 18:49stellar banger couple of years. We also know they're Co
- 18:52headlining Sick New World which we are covering in Vegas
- 18:55officially as well as hopefully Texas in the fall.
- 18:59This looks dope. Grand Paris sludge festival,
- 19:04Coven, You know how much of big fans of Coven we are here and
- 19:07Truck Fighters are your headliners with a few bunch of
- 19:10other bands. Hopefully more bands to be
- 19:12announced soon. I believe this is taking place
- 19:15in May 23rd and 24th of May in Europe.
- 19:19I don't know if you're a big Wilco fan, but Wilco and Jeff
- 19:23Tweedy have their own festival at Mass Moco, which is kind of a
- 19:26museum compound in in Western Massachusetts.
- 19:32And we've covered that once a long time ago.
- 19:34So they've announced their big, it's usually singer songwriters,
- 19:37indie folk, Americana, really interesting stuff.
- 19:42Billy Bragg, Wilco, Jeff Tweedy, solo, Hannah Cohen, Joe
- 19:48Firestone, you know, Gang of 4, whatever passes for Gang of Four
- 19:55kind of fun, looks really fun. Vodkan Metal Battle, which is
- 20:01the battle of the bands across the world to play at Vodkan.
- 20:06We are media partners of this festival.
- 20:08They're every major city in America and all through Europe.
- 20:11They just announced some of the rounds.
- 20:13New York is taking place March 13th and 14th for the
- 20:17preliminaries and then there's sort of a semi finals and a
- 20:20finals and then all the bands go up against each other.
- 20:23They pick one city and all the bands converge and battle it out
- 20:26to get a slot at Vodkan. Cruise to the Edge.
- 20:31I usually put cruises in with festivals because it's kind of a
- 20:33festival on the water. If you're a nerd and a dork like
- 20:36I am and you love progressive rock, Cruise to the Edge 2026
- 20:41features Marillion and Steve Hackett.
- 20:43Steve Hackett, formerly of Genesis, Big Big Train, Eddie
- 20:48Jobson, Symphony X, Adrian Blue, Hawkin, a whole bunch of bands.
- 20:55So this looks really like a lot of fun.
- 20:59Also, this looks really cool. Dark Lord Day May 16th in
- 21:03Munster, IN. I don't know what would bring me
- 21:05to Munster IN, but maybe these bands.
- 21:08Napalm Death, Midnight Dead Guy, Cramped Sermon and more bands to
- 21:12be announced at 3. Floyd's Brewing one of the best
- 21:15metal breweries in the world and they're celebrating 10 years
- 21:18this year and love those guys. Really good beer.
- 21:21I had their beer at Decibel Metal and Beer Festival, so it
- 21:23was fantastic. All right, that's all the
- 21:26festivals. Let's do some concert news.
- 21:28Just a kind of shout out to my local scene.
- 21:32The Castro Theatre in the Castro neighborhood of San Francisco is
- 21:36an iconic art Deco theatre that has been a movie house for over
- 21:41100 years. They celebrated their hundred
- 21:43year. They reopened briefly.
- 21:45I saw Goblin there plays Suspiria live.
- 21:48They had some movies and then they closed down for further
- 21:51renovations. And one of the big outlets here
- 21:55that promotes concerts, they have Live Nation that has their
- 21:58hands and everything. And they have, you know, AEG or
- 22:01Access AXS if you buy tickets through them.
- 22:03Those are your two biggest things.
- 22:05But regionally, Golden Voice and APE are two other ones.
- 22:08We mentioned the contest giveaway with Golden Voice.
- 22:11Another Planet Entertainment took over the Castro and I think
- 22:15they were in the remodel. There was like a vehement
- 22:18pushback by the neighbors to like, hey, this needs to
- 22:21continue to exist as a movie house.
- 22:23So some of the negotiation is that 50 days of the year will
- 22:27still show movies, especially indie and queer films and and
- 22:32your alphabet folks, because that's the neighborhood.
- 22:34Have you ever seen movie milk or the Harvey Milk documentary?
- 22:37That's his neighborhood that he represented and is the iconic,
- 22:42you know, get, you know, gay neighborhood of I mean, all San
- 22:44Francisco is basically an alphabet town.
- 22:47But the Castro's wonderful, lovely, great, safe, amazing.
- 22:52And so the theater reopened. They have a long residency, a
- 22:55month long residency by Sam Smith, maybe not ghost called
- 22:59fair, but he's a wonderful singer.
- 23:01And then they've been showing the frame line Queer Film
- 23:05Festival has been taking over the theater for some off days.
- 23:08So I'm just really happy that this theater is back.
- 23:10I do hope they have some some more concerts and I hope they
- 23:13still have underground movies. It'd be really great to see some
- 23:16more stuff there. Ghost continues and we'll be
- 23:20wrapping up their Skeletor this weekend in Sacramento tomorrow
- 23:24night and LA on Saturday. I will be in Sacramento tomorrow
- 23:27night with my girlfriend Melissa to see the show.
- 23:30I'll give you a full report later.
- 23:32Chad Gray of Mudvane has announced some additional songs.
- 23:36Chad Gray playing 30 Years of Madness, playing the songs from
- 23:39Mudvane and Hell yeah, the more successful this solo thing is,
- 23:44the least the lesser chance there is that Mudvayne will come
- 23:47back. Yes.
- 23:50Did 9 Inch Nails score queer on? Is that HBO or Netflix?
- 23:54Gabe? I think they did.
- 23:57Was that that's what's his face? James Blonde.
- 24:01James Bond. There is the actor there, Daniel
- 24:06Craig. I sell is a concert happening
- 24:11this weekend stand with Minnesota benefits show in
- 24:13Chicago, Scott Lucas of local age, Deanna Bellows AKA Sincere
- 24:19Engineer, Josh Carter, Stubby Panda and Pat Gilroy.
- 24:23All proceeds will go to Minnesota relief efforts.
- 24:27And I love Scott Lewis of local age.
- 24:30She's like a very prominent Twitter person.
- 24:34LD50 brother. Yeah, I never got to see the
- 24:36Mudvane reunion so I'm really bummed.
- 24:39Hopefully it comes back, but I'm not so sure.
- 24:42But yeah, Scott Lucas was like, Yep, if you don't like it, fuck
- 24:44off. I thought that was wonderful.
- 24:45Then Norwood Fisher, the original and Co founding basis
- 24:51to Fishbone, is not with the band in their current line up.
- 24:53You know, we talked the last few years about Fishbone having kind
- 24:56of a separation between Dirty Walter Kibbe and some of their
- 24:59original members and Fisher. Fisher is off the band right
- 25:02now. Fishbone continues to put out
- 25:05new music. They got a new album coming out
- 25:06again. So Fisher is doing a Hawaii
- 25:10residency with all his different bands that represent different
- 25:14parts of his career. So I, you know, if I lived on
- 25:17the big islands, I would go. But super fun artwork.
- 25:20Kind of looks like a Hokusai, right?
- 25:23Tidal wave of Norwood with his one dread and his beard.
- 25:27You know the guy in the you've seen me with my Fishbone shirt.
- 25:30He invented the claw technique, the slap claw.
- 25:33He invented it. I know we were just talking
- 25:34about mud vein and the Berber Ding, Berber Ding of everything,
- 25:37but you know, Norwood is my man. He is so good, so great, so
- 25:42inspirational. Seen him twice.
- 25:44Yeah, I love Fishbone. We saw them in 2024 at the No
- 25:51Values Festival, which I wish would come back but doesn't seem
- 25:53like it will. Dead Pony is a band out of the
- 25:56UK rock metal core band. They have a new summer tour.
- 26:01They've announced their new album is coming out soon.
- 26:03COC has announced dates. They have their brand new double
- 26:07album coming out and we will be talking a little bit more about
- 26:11COC later in the show, but they have announced UK and European
- 26:16dates for later this year. So very exciting stuff for COC,
- 26:19one of my favorite bands. This is kind of fun.
- 26:21It's the third anniversary of the Punk Rock Museum, which I
- 26:25went to in its founding year. Spike and the Gimme Gimmes or
- 26:29the All Star cover band of punks.
- 26:32Kate Clover, who's kind of like a sincere engineer type artist.
- 26:35X Com, which is the band that features Revel Ian, the son of
- 26:40Scott Ian and Pearl Eday on drums and a bunch of other
- 26:44bands. All dayer in the parking lot to
- 26:46celebrate the 3rd anniversary of the Punk Rock Museum.
- 26:50I know Rollins is opening a punk rock museum in Nashville.
- 26:54Something will have to get me to go to Nashville.
- 26:57I wouldn't mind doing like 2 days in Nashville and the punk
- 26:59museum. I don't need to be there that
- 27:02much. Ricky Rackman, I was talking
- 27:05about this last week. He continues his solo 1 foot in
- 27:08the gutter. You know, spoken word show
- 27:11that's like his one man show talking about his life in music,
- 27:14The cat house, Headbangers ball, NASCAR, all the things.
- 27:17He rides from city to city on his motorcycle with his partner
- 27:20Leah Vendetta. And so Kannapolis, NC this
- 27:26weekend, maybe Monday. Sorry.
- 27:28So this is ahead of next week case.
- 27:30You could go Harrison, OH, West Dundee, IL Milliwaukee, the good
- 27:35land. Algonquin for the good land.
- 27:37Mahomet, IL. It's in Chicago, Green Bay,
- 27:40Bloomington and Wyandotte, MI Good Terms is a rock band.
- 27:46Hell, hell to the hell. Yeah.
- 27:48Brother Highway to the hell yeah.
- 27:50What a weird name. Good Terms has a huge amount of
- 27:53tornades coming up. Check them out if you like some
- 27:54punk rock. A Mon Clock is kicking off soon.
- 27:57Stay tuned for my new interview with Brendan Small.
- 28:00Yes, another interview with Brendan Small.
- 28:02That guy loves us. We love him.
- 28:04I know we've interviewed Death Clock, like more than any other
- 28:06band lately, but yeah. Monomark and Death Clock with
- 28:10support from Castle Rat coming up this spring.
- 28:14Also, the homies in Casket robbery are celebrating 10 years
- 28:18of endless of. I can't read what that says
- 28:24because I cannot read it, but casket robbery celebrating A and
- 28:27their anniversary kicking off in Lincoln, NE soon in March.
- 28:32There's VI PS and stuff there. Some of the coolest, nicest
- 28:35people ever. We've interviewed them a lot.
- 28:37We did a giveaway with them. We've premiered their videos in
- 28:40the past. I worked with them also in the
- 28:42music business way back in the day.
- 28:45I love this. Just because I cannot read this
- 28:47poster Butcher and Booking Presents, Gutting North America
- 28:50to War to the Vile Embowelment or something, and a bunch of
- 28:56other bands. I cannot read 500CC.
- 28:59Please help yourselves make clear things.
- 29:02Spine Shank Speaking of my 1990s new metal and 2000s new metal
- 29:07fascinations, Fine Shank is going on tour and they are
- 29:10playing the entire Height of Callousness album which is 25
- 29:14years old this year. Holy shit, great band.
- 29:17I was a big fan of Strictly Diesel and the Height of
- 29:20Callousness. Sebastian Bach once again
- 29:23interview coming up soon. He is going on tour, The Party
- 29:27Never Ends tour, playing all of his, you know, all of his hits.
- 29:32So that's kind of cool. Once again, tip menu reminder
- 29:35skeleton, which I haven't heard anything about them in a while.
- 29:39I would love for them to make a comeback, but I think like the
- 29:41brothers are on the outs and I just don't see that being a
- 29:43band. They had kind of a new line up
- 29:46with Adam from Wolf Hammer. I don't know if you remember
- 29:48that new album was extremely black and heavy.
- 29:51I think I gave it a nine and I give very few nines and almost
- 29:54no 10s in my whole career as a journalist, but as a big
- 29:58skeleton witch fan, man, a shirt and album artwork by John from
- 30:02Baroness. Such a killer band.
- 30:04Such a killer band. I miss them.
- 30:07All right, just a reminder, I don't have any of the products
- 30:09with me, but if you want to rock your beard and your hair care
- 30:13routine like I do, you want to get hooked up with Fable Beard
- 30:16or Fable Beauty. They're brand for femmes.
- 30:20If you sign up with our link in the description you get 10 bucks
- 30:23off your first order and we get free Fable Beard merch.
- 30:27Pretty cool. Also also, we are part of the
- 30:32Lamb Goat media network. When you see ads on our website
- 30:35itgoescalledman.com that is through Lamb goat.
- 30:37Check them out if you have a band or a brand or a store and
- 30:41you want to get some ads. Also shout out to my homie our
- 30:47break under glass. I know we had some website
- 30:49problems this week but wasn't Craig Caruso's fault.
- 30:52Craig Caruso of Caruso apps, I honestly would not go into
- 30:55business without having him and having my back, because it's
- 30:58just too crazy to be out there without any help and again this
- 31:01except for y'all on TikTok. This is coming to you from the
- 31:04magic of stream your rubber band man what's up, what's up, what's
- 31:07up good to see you good to see you.
- 31:09Thanks for being here and I appreciate you.
- 31:14All righty, the best experience for this once again, YouTube,
- 31:17Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitch.
- 31:24Well, listen, we'll follow you back.
- 31:28That's all the things. All right, I'll shrink this down
- 31:31a little bit. Let's do the news, the rest of
- 31:34the news, the big story. Will they or won't they?
- 31:38Arch Enemy announced Lauren Hart, formerly of Once Human, as
- 31:42their brand new vocalist put out a kick ass song to The Last
- 31:45Breath. Which is kind of funny because
- 31:47one of my bands had a song called Last Breath.
- 31:50She's an incredible singer, great person.
- 31:53I don't know if this clarifies that why Elisa left or not.
- 31:58It doesn't really. No questions have been answered.
- 32:00I know she started to give some some press about why maybe she's
- 32:04out of the band like it, you know, whatever and how it was
- 32:07handled, but we just don't know. I mean, Lauren is a very similar
- 32:12singer to Elisa. Elisa maybe has, you know, a
- 32:16more apparatic voice and Lauren is clearly a lot, you know, like
- 32:20equally heavy on the grounds, maybe even a step back toward
- 32:23Angela. Several people were like could
- 32:27not believe the voice that came out of her.
- 32:29Of course people are going to try to sexualize the photos of
- 32:31her. They did the same thing with
- 32:32Elisa, who does not like that either.
- 32:34Angela is the reason Angela retired is because Revolver put
- 32:38her in the hottest chicks in metal thing and you know, she
- 32:41was really angry about that. She wants to be respected on her
- 32:45own merits as a singer and just could not, could not get there,
- 32:49but I'm excited. New chapter for Arch Enemy.
- 32:52They did announce some tour dates, which I did not mention
- 32:54in tour dates, but they have some tour dates in Europe, I
- 32:57think a tour date in China, and very excited.
- 33:00Like if they're going to take a step back, it's the 25th.
- 33:02Like I said, it was the 25th anniversary of Wages Sin this
- 33:05year. Maybe they will do that album
- 33:09like as a stand alone full album playthrough.
- 33:12I think. I know it's kind of trendy or
- 33:13whatever, but I think it would be great.
- 33:16I don't think they can go on and not do some of the material.
- 33:19At least it was in the band for 11 years and four albums and I
- 33:21can just ignore that stuff. I will tell you some people
- 33:24called me out and we're like, you know, you got it wrong.
- 33:27You maybe you should do a thing about it.
- 33:28And I was like everybody got it wrong.
- 33:31I would say Angela gave us a lot of reason to hope that, you
- 33:34know, like you can't fault me as a metal fan for hoping that she
- 33:37would return to music. And I will say over the last
- 33:39couple of years, she's done 3 or 4 features where she sang.
- 33:43She posted a lot of vocal warm ups and stuff on Instagram.
- 33:46When she was growling, they tagged her in the post and I was
- 33:52like, mate, why? They've never tagged her in a
- 33:53post in all these years. They've barely ever.
- 33:56They've never tagged her since she's been out of the band now
- 33:58they tagged her in a post. So, you know, if we all got
- 34:01carried away in the music world and thought maybe she's coming
- 34:03back or coming back for a reunion tour, like a hits tour,
- 34:07you know, you can't fault me. We all wanted that.
- 34:10I, I don't, you know, like I do. I feel bad.
- 34:12Do I feel bad? It's part of the game.
- 34:14She needs to learn or it's just an excuse.
- 34:16You talking about Angela or? I think they did it on purpose.
- 34:19I think they tagged her knowing we would all get hype and then
- 34:23they had obviously planned. Lauren has been shot a music
- 34:26video and recorded a new song. We didn't hear anything about
- 34:29the band since their last tour ended last summer.
- 34:32So I think they knew what they were doing.
- 34:33I'm not mad about it. I'm just I'm just making a point
- 34:36that they they did this, you know, they did this.
- 34:41They they did this on purpose. There's no question.
- 34:46Evil Rob, what's up? What's up?
- 34:47Good to see you. It's been a long time in Derek
- 34:49Youngs. Ma, what's up?
- 34:50What's up? So, yeah, just good luck to
- 34:53Lauren. Good luck to arch enemy.
- 34:56And again, I think they they all gave us false hope.
- 34:59But I'm not mad at them And I don't think people should be mad
- 35:02at us fans and journalists because, like, what else am I
- 35:06supposed to conclude from that? We had no inkling about who they
- 35:11were going to name. Somebody dropped a comment on
- 35:13you on our YouTube. That was like, oh, I recognize
- 35:15her fingers from the fingerless gloves and her picking up the
- 35:17microphone off the floor. Even some of the language in the
- 35:20in the teaser post is part of the game.
- 35:22Hottest singer. I know.
- 35:23She hates that shit, though. She absolutely hated being
- 35:26called hot or whatever. You know, she wants to be tough
- 35:29and strong and powerful and, you know, not liked because she's
- 35:33attractive. But what are you going to do?
- 35:36This is really great. So Fat Tuesday was this week in
- 35:39February. Mardi Gras is underway in New
- 35:41Orleans. It was Fat Tuesday, and
- 35:43literally the city was overrun by a group of people dressed as
- 35:48Ozzy in black wigs and the little John Lennon sunglasses.
- 35:51And this just, like, warms my blackened little heart.
- 35:55And this is just so fun and great.
- 35:59Think taking LSD got to handle your trip?
- 36:01Indeed bro, indeed. But I'm so happy BBC reported on
- 36:04this. This photo is from their video
- 36:06clip of it. A whole bunch of Aussies took
- 36:09over New Orleans. That is drunk Aussies.
- 36:11I can't think of a better thing. You know, I know there's a
- 36:15petition on to get like an airport renamed for him and
- 36:18Aussie day. I really would rather his
- 36:21birthday be the Aussie day than his death day.
- 36:24Again, I I not to divulge too much here, but I was in therapy
- 36:29earlier today and I was talking about my relationship.
- 36:33Thanks, Eagle. Rob, I got a beard product from
- 36:35Fable beard. If you're down, you know, DM me
- 36:38bro. We haven't talked in a long
- 36:40time. And I miss you and, and I know
- 36:42you're, you know, it's not easy out there.
- 36:43I know you might be struggling, but I care about you and you
- 36:46know, it's all love, bro. But I wanted to say I was
- 36:49talking to my therapist earlier today and I was talking about my
- 36:53relationship to people passing away, whether it's heroes or
- 36:55family members. And really the most important
- 36:58thing, and I learned this from a little bit of religiosity that I
- 37:01got driven into me, is that I want to remember people, how
- 37:06they lived and honor them when they pass and not make the
- 37:10passing of them the the worst part of it, it's bad, it's hard.
- 37:15There's there's a rule book, they say there's no rule book
- 37:17for dealing with that. There is, you know, it's The
- 37:20Five Stages of Grief by Elizabeth Kubler, Ross Meyers
- 37:24and Thrace did a whole album about it last year that I love.
- 37:27Now he has his revenge. Exactly.
- 37:28But you know, I want to remember people, how they lived and that
- 37:32they lived and that I was lucky to live in the same time.
- 37:35So I lived in the time of David Lynch and Ozzie and Kubrick and
- 37:39Poe. Maybe not in his lifetime, but
- 37:41you know what I'm saying? I got to experience these things
- 37:44that are really meaningful and Kevin Smith even like things
- 37:47that are very powerful. And it's far Star Wars and Star
- 37:50Trek and everything. Speaking of Star Trek, I did not
- 37:54have this on my fucking bucket list for 2026.
- 37:58William Shatner has made a metal album with 35 Rock and Metal All
- 38:03Stars. What the fuck?
- 38:06I know Christopher Lee had a series of metal albums,
- 38:08including a metal Christmas album is a huge metal head, and
- 38:12he loved Black Sabbath and Priest and stuff like that.
- 38:15And Iron Maiden. And Shatner is now putting
- 38:18together a metal record with him on vocals.
- 38:21There was a picture of him that his daughter took a hymn with
- 38:23like a guitar. He looked like the most
- 38:25uncomfortable guitar pose I've ever seen ever.
- 38:29But like, you know, Shatner had music records in the 70s.
- 38:31And I did put like Star Trek in in some of the posts because
- 38:35like people don't know who he is by his name, but they obviously
- 38:37know his face and his voice. And obviously Star Trek, TJ
- 38:41Hooker, Boston Legal, priceline.com.
- 38:45Like I can't wait to hear. I hope it's originals, but I
- 38:49also hope it's covers. Henry Rollins, Richie Blackmore,
- 38:54Zack Wylde, the role on this record.
- 38:55A few more people have been announced.
- 38:57Cleopatra Records, who has ministry and a bunch of other
- 38:59things are homie Steve Zing's bands are on that album.
- 39:05But I just can't wait to hear like, you know him in the studio
- 39:10with, like, his buddy Rollins, who's a personal friend of his.
- 39:13Henry, please get on the mic. And Rocket.
- 39:17I love this photo of him. It's like, let's open up this
- 39:19Starfleet bass. Yeah, seriously, That's a legit
- 39:23story. William Shatner, metal album,
- 39:252026. I didn't, I could not make this
- 39:28shit up. But I'm here for all of it.
- 39:31And I, and yes, I love Star Trek almost equally to Star Wars.
- 39:35I like Star Wars as well. They know me more.
- 39:36But I watched so much Star Trek in my life.
- 39:39And Battlestar Galactica, the OG and the new one and Space 1999
- 39:43and everything else. Red Dwarf Real.
- 39:46Geez, no Red Dwarf. Youngblood.
- 39:48Youngblood is having like quite the last year of his life.
- 39:52I'll pass. Youngblood, who is currently
- 39:55about to launch a tour in Europe to support his album Idols that
- 39:59came out last year, is dropping a surprise EP tomorrow, Idols 2,
- 40:04with six new songs. So I think we're going to get
- 40:07like a single in a video, and then that's to promote the tour.
- 40:09We'll be probably bringing in the news that overnight.
- 40:12But what an interesting time did the collab EP with Aerosmith did
- 40:16not like it. Obviously his Grammy win for his
- 40:20cover of changes with Nuno Betancourt and Frank Bello and
- 40:23two from Sleep Token. Pretty amazing.
- 40:26I heard like my first ever someone doing sleep Token at
- 40:28karaoke this week and pretty Oh Jorge from my band is here on on
- 40:36the Gram. What up, brother?
- 40:37I already talked about Lauren as the new singer of Arch Enemy,
- 40:41but I was super cool to see you the other night.
- 40:42Thank you for those ear buds. I'm going to use them tomorrow
- 40:45at Ghost. So yeah.
- 40:47Young blood man, Young blood. New EP, big concert tour.
- 40:51More stuff coming probably. I know that people seem to not
- 40:54like him or finding faults with him.
- 40:59I don't know that he's an industry plant.
- 41:01I hear that word thrown around so much I don't think it has
- 41:03much meaning anymore. But like he sincerely loves rock
- 41:06and heavy metal. Ozzy sincerely did love and
- 41:08appreciate him. And I think we got to like just
- 41:11give him a little bit of a, you know, give him a chance to grow
- 41:15into just came out. I saw him years ago and
- 41:18Aftershock here in Sacramento nearby near me and he was on
- 41:22like a small stage with nobody watching him.
- 41:23And like, 4 years later, here he is rocking the ship.
- 41:26David Bowie needs to rest in peace.
- 41:28I hear you, man. There's two David Bowie records
- 41:30coming out for Record Store Day. I'm very excited.
- 41:33You're tired of Bowie? Bowie Divers.
- 41:35I hear you, bro. A lot of people aping the shit,
- 41:37but, like, you know, Bowie covers, Yeah.
- 41:40You know, people are going to, you know, just cover their
- 41:44heroes forever. All right, moving on.
- 41:48This was hella interesting. Failure has a brand new album
- 41:51coming out. We knew the last couple years I
- 41:53had an interview with Ken of Failure.
- 41:55That documentary Every Time You Lose Your Mind is out now with
- 41:58Disney Plus and Hulu. Interestingly enough, some of
- 42:01the people who were in that documentary are on their new
- 42:04album, clearly recorded while they were in the studio.
- 42:06So there's a team up song with Hayley Williams, who's a
- 42:09paramour, who's a huge fan. Maybe Maynard shows up on this
- 42:14album on a track because he loves them and has covered them.
- 42:18So super interesting. And a Failure is kind of the
- 42:20band that, you know, like should have been Tool big.
- 42:23They didn't get that big but because of drugs and things.
- 42:26But like Failure is one of my favorite bands.
- 42:28So I was super stoked for a new Failure album.
- 42:31This was fun. This is like the Brady Bunch
- 42:33thing. It looks like Tomahawk is
- 42:35reuniting Mike Patton's Tomahawk.
- 42:37We see Trevor Dunn and and Patton.
- 42:42Patton's been busy. He's been on tour with Mr.
- 42:44Bungle. He opened up for Avenged
- 42:46Sevenfold in South America. I wonder what he thought of
- 42:48them. Probably not much Tomahawk, you
- 42:53know, along with phantoms. So these projects that live in
- 42:55the minds of people. They had to run and then they
- 42:57broke up and like maybe it's time to come back.
- 42:59So Tomahawk apparently booking a tour every band but Faith No
- 43:03More of Patton is doing so sad. I read that Roddy Bottom book,
- 43:08really broke my heart. Yeah, insane and crazy life.
- 43:11Exodus is a new song out. They released the title track of
- 43:14their upcoming new album Goliath on Napalm Records.
- 43:18Really a surprising song. Very heavy and slow.
- 43:21Kind of reminded me again of those Rob Dukes Atrocity
- 43:25Exhibition A&B albums. Very groove heavy like a slow
- 43:30Metallica or Pantera groove machine head even.
- 43:34You know Exodus is an originator of thrash.
- 43:38If I make. It big, I'm never covering.
- 43:40A dead artist. Mark my words.
- 43:41I got you, bro. I got you.
- 43:43So yeah, Exit is certainly much better than the first song that
- 43:46was released. But I really feel like that
- 43:48song's like a an intro song. An intro song, yeah.
- 43:51Mark my words. I understand what you meant.
- 43:53Gabe, 3111. Is an intro song.
- 43:58To me it's like half a song, but this Goliath song's a nasty bit
- 44:01of work, man. Good for them.
- 44:03I'm I'm looking forward to more. Speaking of Tool at Maynard
- 44:06Tool, in an interview with Danny Carey, Tool is working on a new
- 44:11album. At least they've been writing
- 44:12it, and the hope is they're going to have a new album out
- 44:15before the end of 2027. And then Danny was like, we
- 44:18really like to do the sphere. We've been talking about it, and
- 44:21nothing is set in stone, but we'd like to do it.
- 44:23When an artist says we'd like to do it, that means discussions
- 44:26are being had. Can you imagine Tool doing the
- 44:29sphere? I'm already psyched about seeing
- 44:31Metallica there. But like, imagine Tool doing
- 44:34this fear it's going to be so sick.
- 44:36I'm here for it. This photo is worth blowing up
- 44:39for a second. This is Tool shot by Isabel.
- 44:43Oh, I lost one of my lights because I've been on trying to
- 44:45do this show for two hours. Almost done.
- 44:47Anyway, Isabel's category shot this thing.
- 44:50Look at this fantastic show. One of the rare shots of sort of
- 44:53the entire almost the whole band and Maynard kind of hiding in
- 44:56the back there, which is dope. All right, let's see.
- 45:01This is kind of wild. I don't know if anybody here
- 45:03beside me is watching the TV show Industry, but it is
- 45:07delicious and evil. It is so fun.
- 45:10Judy Collins, Both Sides Now was featured at the end of the
- 45:15pivotal episode 6 of the series. There's two more.
- 45:21I think there's two more or seven.
- 45:23There's two more left, I think. Judy Collins, both sides now,
- 45:27was also featured in Mad Men. It's usually used in commercials
- 45:31and it was originally written by Joni Mitchell, but it's the
- 45:33first song ever Judy Collins recorded.
- 45:35Because in the 60s, especially in the 70s, if somebody had a
- 45:39hit and you wanted to get a hit too, you put out a cover of
- 45:41somebody's hit. I love the original OG Electra
- 45:45Records logo and label from the vinyl single.
- 45:49Super fun. Let me know if you're watching
- 45:51Industry. What a deliciously crazy show.
- 45:55Fucking crazy. I love that.
- 45:57Show similar to succession Black queen.
- 46:02Andrew's not here. We've been talking about this a
- 46:04lot. Andrew is not here.
- 46:07Dillinger compound reign of Zeus wet up long time no see.
- 46:12PJRP is here. So black Queen.
- 46:17Is the band from. Steven Alexander, former guitar
- 46:20tech of Nine Inch Nails as well as Greg Pucciato of formerly of
- 46:25Dillinger's Scape plan and Better Lovers.
- 46:27I know there's been some drama online and some stuff coming out
- 46:31about Greg. It's not exactly cancelled but
- 46:35there's some some weird shit going on.
- 46:38And the Black Queen is doing a 10 year anniversary tour for
- 46:43Infinite Games. I'm a big fan, I'm so excited.
- 46:46Hopefully going to be some more new music later in the year.
- 46:49Love the Black Queen. Primus is doing a comic book.
- 46:54Graphic novel with Z2 comics for Frizzle Fry.
- 46:58Very exciting stuff. Big Primus fan.
- 47:00If you know, you know. Primus sucks.
- 47:02They don't, but they do. That's their catch phrase.
- 47:07Propane is back, one of the New York hardcore.
- 47:09Metal juggernauts, just a lot of feels for me in the 90s right
- 47:14now. Propane signed the Napalm
- 47:15Records announced a new record, Drop the Brutal in a single.
- 47:19These guys look like a bunch of like this is the poster for
- 47:21Divorced Dads. That's this band.
- 47:23If Divorced Dads could be a band, it would be this band.
- 47:26But I do love them. This one kind of hurts.
- 47:29Meadow Church is a band I grew up listening to.
- 47:32Thrash metal, heavy metal, great band.
- 47:34They've had the misfortune of having two singers pass away and
- 47:37my homie Mark Lopes of Ross, the Boss Band and Let Us Pray was
- 47:41singing for them for a couple years, did an album with them
- 47:44and then they never toured and they just kind of announced a
- 47:48new album and a new band with a new singer who is not my homie.
- 47:52So he was kind of blindsided. He didn't find out till they
- 47:56made the announcement. I know David Ellison joined the
- 47:58band, which is dope, but not too happy with this.
- 48:01But I heard the first single. New singer's good, you know,
- 48:04just kind of, you know, bad breaks.
- 48:07Bad news you. Know My Dying Bride News I know
- 48:10Aaron is not coming back to the band.
- 48:12That's devastating to me. But they're going to keep going
- 48:15with Miko from Swallow the Sun, I guess.
- 48:18And Aaron is booking gigs where he's doing My Dying Bride music.
- 48:21So now we have 2 My Dying Brides.
- 48:23Wonderful. That's what we needed.
- 48:26Yay, yay and Hooray. Let's see also also Necro
- 48:35Gobble. Con has a new single out and a
- 48:37new EP coming out. Melvin.
- 48:41'S and napalm. Death not to be outdone.
- 48:43Hey Harold, what's up? Thanks for being here on TikTok.
- 48:47Not being outdone by their last EP together that sold out
- 48:51immediately last year I was so mad.
- 48:55They are now doing a full length Savage Imperial album.
- 48:57They've done 2 Savage Imperial tours.
- 48:59I suspect they'll be a third later this year.
- 49:02Melvin's. I knew they were going to drop
- 49:03something this year. Really cool.
- 49:05Terrible shame, but my dime bride.
- 49:07Absolutely bro Harold on TikTok. Tell us what kind of metal and.
- 49:11Music you like, if any. And Aaron, Yeah Aaron absolutely
- 49:15bro. Also also Sun Don't Shine,
- 49:18Probably the album I am most excited for this entire year.
- 49:22New song from Sun Don't Shine. Full length album coming out
- 49:25soon from our homies at Corpse Paint Records.
- 49:28No doubt we will get another interview with Kurt or Weinstein
- 49:33or Johnny Kelly or Kenny Hickey. Also also one of my.
- 49:39Heroes from the 80s Martha Quinn is celebrating 40 years in radio
- 49:44this week W one O 3.7 FM in California.
- 49:50So super stoked for her. Everybody from the 80s had a
- 49:53crush on Martha Quinn in the early 90s she was the little
- 49:56hippie chick sister you wish you could get involved with.
- 50:00Omar Corny, the co-owner of Ghost Cult here at Fashion Week
- 50:03where he was working tech and Miss Universe, you know her from
- 50:09a couple of months ago where she her talent portion of the Miss
- 50:12Universe contest was her death metal singing and people like
- 50:18what? And she won.
- 50:19So she actually appeared at Fashion Week and Omar pulled her
- 50:21aside and was like, hey, let's get a photo.
- 50:23I have a Met, I have a metal website.
- 50:25So maybe you'll be seeing an interview coming soon from
- 50:29there, from her and him. That'd be kind of fun.
- 50:32So yeah, I just want everybody to see that awesome photo.
- 50:35Let There Be Rock Schools is a new venture by Brandon Yiggley
- 50:39of Crowbot. Crowbot's an awesome band.
- 50:42We interviewed them not that long ago and big fan of them.
- 50:46And Jason is partnering up with Music Education in his hometown
- 50:51of Pottsville, PA, in eastern Pennsylvania.
- 50:55Love that. I'd love to talk to him about.
- 50:56That soon Poison the Well dropped another new single.
- 51:01Very excited. About the comeback of the post
- 51:03Hardcore legends. This should be fresh.
- 51:07Record Store Day talked again just about it.
- 51:09Check out the Glacier the Musical podcast tonight and
- 51:11tomorrow we can do a deep dive on what Record Store Day is all
- 51:15about and also what to do. I will also be doing some more
- 51:18content about Record Store Day here on the channel.

- 51:39New favorite thing? My favorite tweet of the week is
- 51:42from the band All Father from the UK.
- 51:44Homies loving me some heavy metal tonight.
- 51:47Bite bigots obey the riff. Well said.
- 51:49We retweeted that, as did a lot of people.
- 51:52So very cool. All right, that means the news
- 51:57is over and it's time for New Music Friday and quite a big
- 52:03busy New Music Friday today. So I am going to see if I can
- 52:07just I'm going to just today I'm going to skip playing anything
- 52:12in the interest of time and hunger.
- 52:14And I'm just going to read through the list and again, all
- 52:19these there'll be a post tonight.
- 52:20Every week we preview early in the week with a video and links.
- 52:24And then on Friday we redo the post with all the buy and stream
- 52:28links where you can support bands because that's kind of

- 54:52and me to do our best here, folks.
- 54:54I'm doing my best. I got a cool thing in the
- 54:58mailbag. This week so.
- 54:59Speaking of COC, they dropped the new single.
- 55:02They have pre-orders live for their new double album, Is It
- 55:06True That November? 'S Doom has a.
- 55:08Metallica members, they do not that I know of.
- 55:11So live a new this. Not bad.
- 55:13So I got some mail from Nuclear Blast Records.
- 55:16Coc has launched a new website and a web store to promote their
- 55:20new album and I got their brand new single.
- 55:24It's kind of weird that down and COC put out a single, a brand
- 55:27new single on the same day. But corrosion conformity Give me
- 55:29some more Moore like Stanton more and the cover of I love
- 55:34living in the city by fear, which is one of my favorite punk
- 55:37rock bands ever. So first of all, I got this
- 55:41koozie run COC, the king of the run like instead of the king of
- 55:47rock. And then there's like some rap
- 55:49written on the back that it's too dark in here to read now.
- 55:52But let me try to quickly open this vinyl and see if this is
- 55:55especially, especially cooler vinyl.
- 56:02Make sure I don't damage the fucking thing trying to RIP it
- 56:05open. Here we go, adult proof.
- 56:10My favorite. So hungry.
- 56:14All right, let's do. The damn thing.
- 56:19So this is really cool. There's a back.
- 56:20Cover with like pictures of them as little kids and the front
- 56:23cover is like a very COC recent new logo with the stamp and it's
- 56:29looks like an eagle with the COC mask on clutching a bottle of
- 56:32whiskey. Jesus Christ.
- 56:36All right, Oh cool. In the little baby sleeve with
- 56:40the Mylar in the sleeve. That's how my class shit right
- 56:43there and then smells interesting.
- 56:48And it's on a plain old black vinyl.
- 56:50So here's give me some more backed with.
- 56:55I love living in the city. Super.
- 56:56Stoked to jam this one. I love Coc my probably between
- 57:00Sun don't shine, Coc 7 Dust, Lamb of God, Gojira, Mastodon.
- 57:06It's going to be a tremendous year for heavy music.
- 57:09I'm really excited Gabe, I'm excited for your new album.
- 57:12People should check out and follow Anti Moz Beast on YouTube
- 57:16and wherever else you can find him.

- 57:23Nobody's really. Hanging out there, but I
- 57:24appreciate. You, Harold, for being on
- 57:26TikTok. I appreciate everybody that
- 57:28passed by and that's our show in a very manageable 57 minutes.
- 57:33But thanks for being here once again.
- 57:35It's a tough time in the world. Look out for each other.
- 57:37I got some. I got a concert to go to
