- 1:00Speaker 3: Should you discuss money with your friends, we had this conversation.
- 1:03Speaker 4: With Conversation UH last week's episode of Assets of Reliabilities,
- 1:09Speaker 4: and I got a lot of traction on social media.
- 1:12Speaker 4: People you know have different commentary on it. She she had,
- 1:16Speaker 4: she has.
- 1:17Speaker 3: Views on it.
- 1:18Speaker 5: Uh.
- 1:18Speaker 3: So should you discuss money with your friends?
- 1:25Speaker 6: I think you should know which friends you can have
- 1:28Speaker 6: those conversations with. I don't think you can have them
- 1:31Speaker 6: with all because sometimes resentment creeps in, entitlement may creep in,
- 1:37Speaker 6: and a lot of times if we're doing it for
- 1:39Speaker 6: quote unquote motivational purposes, only if a person doesn't have
- 1:42Speaker 6: it and you're not going to give it to them,
- 1:44Speaker 6: it can produce some feelings that they didn't even know
- 1:47Speaker 6: that they had. I remember one time, this maybe two
- 1:51Speaker 6: years ago, so historically, like I have a everyday card,
- 1:55Speaker 6: then I have something else that I drive. And one
- 2:00Speaker 6: time we went to dinner and I didn't bring the
- 2:04Speaker 6: everyday car, but it was not every day cars a commasta,
- 2:08Speaker 6: so everybody's cool. When I picked up in the mouths like,
- 2:09Speaker 6: oh are you so humble down on the earth cool? I
- 2:11Speaker 6: can't believe you still dropping this da dah.
- 2:13Speaker 7: Right.
- 2:14Speaker 6: I bring out the other car and this is one
- 2:19Speaker 6: of my guys and I get out and he looked
- 2:22Speaker 6: at me like, yo, I ain't even know you had this,
- 2:25Speaker 6: but you know when it's a yo, I know you
- 2:27Speaker 6: had this and you weren't happy. I was like, I
- 2:29Speaker 6: fucked up, Like I should have just take the everyday
- 2:32Speaker 6: car out and strip it down. And in those moments,
- 2:37Speaker 6: and I know he loves me, but I could see
- 2:40Speaker 6: it in his face. The feeling that he had for
- 2:44Speaker 6: me was not one of joy. And I wouldn't say
- 2:47Speaker 6: this is one of my best friends, but like, this
- 2:49Speaker 6: is somebody I'm like really cool with and I've learned,
- 2:52Speaker 6: like and we've had these conversations, there's only certain people
- 2:54Speaker 6: you can have some of these higher income conversations with,
- 2:57Speaker 6: because not everyone's gonna be happy for you. A good
- 3:00Speaker 6: lesson for me is if a person that makes more
- 3:02Speaker 6: money than me, or we're in the same income bracket
- 3:05Speaker 6: within two or three percent, I'll have it. If there's
- 3:08Speaker 6: a gap or disparity, I won't have the conversation at all.
- 3:12Speaker 6: There's too much of a risk. I don't believe in
- 3:14Speaker 6: holding back on information or not sharing, because I saw
- 3:17Speaker 6: that a lot in the comments as well. But to
- 3:19Speaker 6: say I made this on this particular deal, or I
- 3:23Speaker 6: think it's a recipe for disaster.
- 3:27Speaker 7: Failure. I think we're in a unique position.
- 3:32Speaker 5: Because we're friends, we're brothers, but we were in business together.
- 3:36Speaker 7: So I feel like, I mean, we have to talk
- 3:38Speaker 7: about money.
- 3:39Speaker 2: We have to. It's not it's going well.
- 3:41Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean even on the personal side that you know,
- 3:45Speaker 5: I'll have it, like I'll have conversations and I just
- 3:46Speaker 5: had one with MG today. It was like I was
- 3:49Speaker 5: playing them from a tax standpoint, like we have to
- 3:51Speaker 5: talk about money. I'm like, look, this is what I
- 3:53Speaker 5: paid in taxes last year. Really yeah, well, look this
- 3:56Speaker 5: is some of the things I did last year. But
- 3:58Speaker 5: I want to figure out, you know, what's the best
- 3:59Speaker 5: way in real estate that I could help alleviate some
- 4:02Speaker 5: of these taxes.
- 4:03Speaker 7: So, like you said, it's about knowing who you're having
- 4:05Speaker 7: a conversation with.
- 4:06Speaker 5: I'm not openly saying like, hey I did this, I
- 4:09Speaker 5: made this, but of course, like I mean, I usually
- 4:13Speaker 5: the first thing I do is like, wake up, Thank
- 4:15Speaker 5: the Lord, open the bank account, let's see what Let's
- 4:19Speaker 5: see what we.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Got to check them because even the banks to take
- 4:21Speaker 3: the money from me.
- 4:21Speaker 7: If you don't check on it, who's missing? Where is
- 4:24Speaker 7: the net now, earners, what's up?
- 4:28Speaker 5: You ever walk into a small business and everything just works,
- 4:32Speaker 5: like the checkout is fast, the seats are digital, tipping
- 4:35Speaker 5: is a breeze and you're out the door before the
- 4:38Speaker 5: line even builds. Odds are they're using Square. We love

- 6:18Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 6:21Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 6:26Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas. Man of Venezuelan charged with
- 6:30Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 6:34Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 6:38Speaker 1: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy nom the United States
- 6:41Speaker 1: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 6:46Speaker 1: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 6:50Speaker 1: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 6:53Speaker 1: are here illegally, your next you will be fined. Nearly
- 6:57Speaker 1: one thousand dollars a day. Imprisoned and report it, you
- 7:01Speaker 1: will never return. But if you register using our CBP

- 7:12Speaker 1: America's laws, border and families will be protected.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
- 7:18Speaker 5: Those are the things I'm looking at, and so like,
- 7:20Speaker 5: once i see something that's off or something that is delayed,
- 7:24Speaker 5: I'll hit first thing.
- 7:25Speaker 7: I'm like checking with Danielle, like what's going on?
- 7:28Speaker 5: Yeah, ab And then the last thing I do is like,
- 7:31Speaker 5: y'all hit Shotty, like, yo, here's the update his what's
- 7:32Speaker 5: going on?
- 7:33Speaker 7: So, I mean, we always talk about money because it's necessary.
- 7:36Speaker 5: And then obviously I hit Mike because I know he
- 7:39Speaker 5: wakes up a little bit later and he's like in
- 7:40Speaker 5: the gym in the morning. Yeah, so I'll wait to
- 7:42Speaker 5: hit him about some things. But yeah, as friends, we
- 7:46Speaker 5: do it because we're in business together. So it's a
- 7:48Speaker 5: very unique situation, but it's important.
- 7:51Speaker 7: Yeah, shanty, what you think, hold it close to the chest.
- 7:54Speaker 5: What we do, even unless you named for small, Well,
- 7:59Speaker 5: I grew up with these guys, so yeah, everything is different.
- 8:01Speaker 3: I mean I think it's just common sense.
- 8:02Speaker 4: Like you know, you don't talk about money with every
- 8:04Speaker 4: single person for no reason. But in this scenario of
- 8:08Speaker 4: you know, trying to work, like scenario I gave was.
- 8:13Speaker 3: Trying to figure out a deal, like you know what
- 8:14Speaker 3: I mean, podcasters, that's different. You know, provide.
- 8:17Speaker 4: Information with each other in that way that you know
- 8:19Speaker 4: you'll be better suited to know, like, Okay, this person
- 8:21Speaker 4: got this much, and I know that I could you know,
- 8:24Speaker 4: reasonably act for this much, Like that's something that's reasonable.
- 8:27Speaker 3: But how much you get for a ad on your show?
- 8:29Speaker 4: Like you know, if you never should have information and
- 8:32Speaker 4: it's not really that beneficial. So I think that that's
- 8:34Speaker 4: something you'll necessarily have to be like best of friends,
- 8:37Speaker 4: you have like a cordial working relationship to understand like
- 8:41Speaker 4: David Sham's how much are you.
- 8:42Speaker 3: Charging add for your show? Yeah, you know, I don't.
- 8:45Speaker 4: I don't think it would be unreasonable for him to
- 8:48Speaker 4: tell me. He doesn't have to tell me like how
- 8:50Speaker 4: much money he has in his bank account. But you
- 8:53Speaker 4: know there's different money conversations. Yeah, So you know, I
- 8:57Speaker 4: think that it's beneficial to have conversations about money when
- 9:02Speaker 4: it makes sense. As far as like, you know, if
- 9:03Speaker 4: you've got a person that you're doing business with, or
- 9:06Speaker 4: somebody that's in your in your same peer group or
- 9:10Speaker 4: the same industry, industry, conversation is very important. I think
- 9:14Speaker 4: that's more outside of Yeah, it's just common sense most
- 9:17Speaker 4: of the time, you're not just going to tell somebody like,
- 9:19Speaker 4: this is how much money I have in my bank account,
- 9:21Speaker 4: this is how much money I made last year, randomly.
- 9:24Speaker 4: But what problems is like even in corporate, it happens
- 9:27Speaker 4: a lot in corporate with people don't know how much
- 9:30Speaker 4: somebody else is getting paid, and that affects your negotiating skills,
- 9:34Speaker 4: that affects your ability to actually act for a raise.
- 9:37Speaker 4: That is, you know, you don't know how to gauge
- 9:40Speaker 4: if you're getting underpaid or not right. So sharing information
- 9:45Speaker 4: and actually knowing what the numbers are are beneficial for sure,
- 9:51Speaker 4: And that's something that you know, I think you've got
- 9:57Speaker 4: to kind of be a little bit more comfortable doing
- 9:59Speaker 4: that because that's something that is helpful. It's not like
- 10:03Speaker 4: you're just sharing that information just to make you like
- 10:06Speaker 4: nosy and jealous about what you got. So delicate situation,
- 10:11Speaker 4: But like I said, I think you know you got
- 10:13Speaker 4: to use your your common sense. See, you know, obviously
- 10:16Speaker 4: some people it's just there's no benefit in sharing it. Like,
- 10:19Speaker 4: if there's no benefit in sharing the information, then what's
- 10:22Speaker 4: the point of sharing it. But if there's a benefit
- 10:25Speaker 4: for you or for somebody else, and you could see
- 10:28Speaker 4: like that's actually beneficial, then I think that, you know,
- 10:32Speaker 4: it's a different conversation.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Yeah, before we leave, they're gonna tell you how much
- 10:38Speaker 3: they got in their bank account.
- 10:41Speaker 7: They're they're old up.
