- 0:00Speaker 1: Big Show with Froggy, John and Meghan. Good morning, Megan,
- 0:02Speaker 1: Good morning, Froggy, Good morning John.
- 0:04Speaker 2: I want a frog. Good morning. It is National Christmas
- 0:06Speaker 2: Card Day.
- 0:07Speaker 3: Yeah, that means if you're gonna send out Christmas cards,
- 0:10Speaker 3: today's the day to do it.
- 0:11Speaker 4: I have not.
- 0:12Speaker 5: I haven't got my stamps yet. I want to get
- 0:16Speaker 5: Oh no, that means I have to.
- 0:17Speaker 4: Do it today.
- 0:18Speaker 3: I know.
- 0:18Speaker 1: In two weeks ago, she was telling me that about
- 0:20Speaker 1: Christmas cards. She was warning my address and stuff. I
- 0:22Speaker 1: think that is so sweet. I love people who give
- 0:24Speaker 1: Christmas cards.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Yeah, we haven't gotten around to that yet.
- 0:26Speaker 5: It's a lot of work I put into these, and
- 0:29Speaker 5: this is what I do every years. I complete them
- 0:31Speaker 5: and then I sit in and I admire them because
- 0:33Speaker 5: my hands hurt so bad because I ride in every
- 0:36Speaker 5: single one.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Do you hate a little personal note in each one?
- 0:38Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm very I'm sorry, cheesy girl at the holidays,
- 0:41Speaker 5: but I always forget to put them in the mail.
- 0:43Speaker 4: Sometimes. It was a couple of years it was March.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Can you come to fight?
- 0:46Speaker 3: You just read them to people, You call them and
- 0:48Speaker 3: read big cars, Valentine's Day cards.
- 0:50Speaker 2: You describe it, take a screenshot and send it to us.
- 0:53Speaker 5: I did show one of my friends on FaceTime because
- 0:55Speaker 5: she lives in Europe, and I was like, you know,
- 0:58Speaker 5: you're not going to get this till your birthday.
- 0:59Speaker 2: And oh, that's great, that's great. What'd you do last night, Megan?
- 1:05Speaker 5: Last night I found my cozy book. Then I it's
- 1:11Speaker 5: my favorite one and I've been like pacing myself so
- 1:13Speaker 5: slowly and I couldn't find it for the last couple
- 1:16Speaker 5: of weeks.
- 1:16Speaker 4: I found it, so he caught up. Yes, I did.
- 1:19Speaker 1: It was great, that's right, Well, John, we went two
- 1:21Speaker 1: of our Christmas traditions. We went to off Gervan Road.
- 1:24Speaker 1: We went and looked the lights. How was it took?
- 1:26Speaker 1: Oh wonderful. And I'm just going to tell you, go
- 1:28Speaker 1: at six, go at six, go at six, go as
- 1:31Speaker 1: soon as you can. Okay, there was no problem. We
- 1:33Speaker 1: might have been leading the whole parade. Actually, oh wow, wow,
- 1:36Speaker 1: really nice and uh and both kids were wonderful.
- 1:39Speaker 2: So that was the major good part. Yeah, to the point.
- 1:43Speaker 1: We even went over to Qune Flowers and did a
- 1:45Speaker 1: double dip and went to Qune and looked at their
- 1:47Speaker 1: Christmas display, which I've done since I was a kid.
- 1:50Speaker 1: And now here I am with my you know, when
- 1:51Speaker 1: it was cool with the kids and now with grandkids
- 1:54Speaker 1: and you're like, oh my gosh. You know, you get
- 1:55Speaker 1: a little sentimental there. But it was a wonderful thing,
- 1:57Speaker 1: how about you. We just kind of hung out around
- 1:59Speaker 1: the house. That's a neighbors over. They brought some Christmas casts.
- 2:01Speaker 1: We exchanged I guess with the neighbors.
- 2:03Speaker 2: That's cool. It was fun.
- 2:04Speaker 3: It was a good time. One of them brought a
- 2:05Speaker 3: Grinch tree, so little little tree with the bent top
- 2:08Speaker 3: and the hanging on it. Yeah, so we have a
- 2:13Speaker 3: Grinch tree.
- 2:13Speaker 5: Now that's perfect because your house it seems like it's
- 2:15Speaker 5: becoming Grinch Grinch theme.
- 2:17Speaker 2: My house looks like Christmas.
- 2:18Speaker 1: How how was that new Grinch that came that she
- 2:20Speaker 1: ordered the foot That thing is the biggest honk of junk.
- 2:24Speaker 3: Really, it is awful, but it's right. I said, it
- 2:27Speaker 3: was a hunk of junk. And then but I was
- 2:29Speaker 3: going to be nice to try to hang it up.
- 2:30Speaker 3: During the hang up process, she goes, let's just return
- 2:33Speaker 3: this thing.
- 2:34Speaker 4: Oh, that's so disappointing, though, when you really are exciting, I.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Wasn't disappointed at all. Disappointment.
- 2:41Speaker 1: I was so thrilled he couldn't get back to the
- 2:42Speaker 1: ups door quick and I'll give her the biggest hundred.
- 2:45Speaker 1: She didn't even finish. I was like, let's do this
- 2:48Speaker 1: to the store. Check means three things. Lots going on.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Let's get us started on this Jack's Tuesday.
- 2:54Speaker 5: There is so with a price increase at for beach
- 2:57Speaker 5: parking Neptum Beach, Jack's Beach area. There's a lot of
- 3:00Speaker 5: pushback happening right now because it popped up to five
- 3:04Speaker 5: dollars an hour, and a lot of people are saying
- 3:08Speaker 5: it's too much. One person was interviewed and they said,
- 3:11Speaker 5: I went to Peaks one night and then I had
- 3:13Speaker 5: a fifty dollars parking fee. And they're like, so we're
- 3:15Speaker 5: just not doing that anymore. So people are pushing back,
- 3:18Speaker 5: but the mayor of Neptune Beach is really holding the
- 3:21Speaker 5: ground on this. So I'm really hoping there's something that
- 3:25Speaker 5: we can do.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Let's work out. So let's work it out.
- 3:28Speaker 5: Today the Jacksonville City Council is supposed to meet to
- 3:31Speaker 5: approve the jumbo shrimp being sold.
- 3:34Speaker 4: Ken Babby's moving to the Tampa Bay Rays.
- 3:37Speaker 5: Earlier this year, in October, he was named the CEO
- 3:40Speaker 5: and so now he's just moving over.
- 3:42Speaker 4: And it sounds like, I mean, that's gonna be a
- 3:44Speaker 4: big job.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Yeah, it's got I mean, he made his fortune in
- 3:47Speaker 1: minor league baseball, so step up to the bigs.
- 3:49Speaker 2: We know a couple of those guys. Yeah.
- 3:52Speaker 5: HDTV gave Saint Augustine a huge shout out, saying it's
- 3:55Speaker 5: one of the best places to visit for Christmas.
- 3:57Speaker 2: I love that. That's what we need. More people to
- 3:59Speaker 2: go there, that's just what we need.
- 4:01Speaker 4: Yep, without any more parking spaces. That's three things.
- 4:04Speaker 2: All right.
- 4:05Speaker 3: We need a first call to start our day off right,
- 4:07Speaker 3: get us going nine oh four, three, eight, eight thirty
- 4:10Speaker 3: six ninety nine, call us up, tell us why you
- 4:12Speaker 3: up so early?
- 4:13Speaker 2: But first we got a quit check on your Jacksonville traffic.
- 4:15Speaker 2: How's it look right now? John?
- 4:16Speaker 1: We do have one issue right now at the Florida
- 4:18Speaker 1: Georgia line, ninety five South Pound on the Saint Mary's
- 4:21Speaker 1: side all lanes block, that's ninety five South Pound.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Randall, Why are you up?
- 4:25Speaker 1: Oh?
- 4:25Speaker 3: My? What it work like I do every morning?
- 4:27Speaker 2: Where do you work?
- 4:28Speaker 3: I work for.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Sampsonite, Samsonite. Yeah, come to my luggage. Oh that's cool.
- 4:34Speaker 4: Awesome.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Eric didn't know they had a place here. We have
- 4:36Speaker 2: the bill. They have three warehouses down here, one one
- 4:40Speaker 2: May one and two.
- 4:41Speaker 5: Little offshits where they do the extra storage of luggage.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Thanks for enlightening us to the world of Samsonite here
- 4:47Speaker 1: in Jacksonville, and thanks so much for listening.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Man, thanks for being our star this morning. Forget you
- 4:52Speaker 2: welcome and we welcome you to.
- 4:53Speaker 1: The world of Megan's Music City three ninety nine one
- 4:56Speaker 1: wq IK. Pour me a drink with Post and Blake
- 4:59Speaker 1: and the Big Show. It's Roggie, John and Megan, so
- 5:01Speaker 1: good to be with you. It's a cold start.
- 5:02Speaker 3: As we get started on this Jacks too, let's all
- 5:05Speaker 3: do the temperature comparison, because.
- 5:06Speaker 2: I'll be going on today. Indeed, when you woke up,
- 5:09Speaker 2: what was the temperature you house? I don't know, but
- 5:10Speaker 2: it was cold.
- 5:11Speaker 4: I'm where my slippers to works day.
- 5:13Speaker 2: It's so cold, what about you? John? Forty two?
- 5:16Speaker 1: I saw it and I looked actually because it felt
- 5:18Speaker 1: because I had a will wind so no wind chill.
- 5:20Speaker 2: But the forty two is the temp you win because
- 5:23Speaker 2: mine was forty six.
- 5:24Speaker 4: Okay, Well and John and me our neighbors so so
- 5:26Speaker 4: you'd be around the same game. But he looks at
- 5:28Speaker 4: the thermostat.
- 5:29Speaker 2: I know how cold it is now.
- 5:30Speaker 3: It is going to be warmer no today today, actually,
- 5:32Speaker 3: I think with a little bit of a wind chill
- 5:34Speaker 3: it's gonna be.
- 5:34Speaker 2: I think feel like in the low fifties all day today.
- 5:37Speaker 3: Tomorrow tonight is going to be cold down into the
- 5:39Speaker 3: thirties tonight and then it'll start warming up.
- 5:41Speaker 2: I did look ahead because we got a big game
- 5:44Speaker 2: on Sunday at the Bank. Yes, Jags, Jets. It's gonna
- 5:47Speaker 2: be seventy five and sunny at game time on Sunday.
- 5:49Speaker 2: That looks perfect. And I hope it stays that way. Yeah,
- 5:52Speaker 2: me too, Yeah, I hope it doesn't. Right out of.
- 5:54Speaker 3: Nowhere to the Sunday and it was not. It was
- 5:57Speaker 3: not a pleasant experience in the stands. Beautiful experience on
- 6:01Speaker 3: the field, Yeah, yeah, not so much.
- 6:02Speaker 2: In this name.
- 6:03Speaker 4: It was fun.
- 6:03Speaker 5: I just could have had probably more fun if it
- 6:05Speaker 5: was not as wet gold.
- 6:07Speaker 2: We'll see. We can't make that happen this Sunday. Oh yeah,
- 6:10Speaker 2: let's do it. Let's get into one and Megan's music
- 6:12Speaker 2: City minute. Lots going on in Nashville.
- 6:14Speaker 4: There is Maddie and Tay, longtime duo. They worked together
- 6:18Speaker 4: for over a decade. They're split in ways.
- 6:21Speaker 5: Tay wants to be at home with her two young
- 6:23Speaker 5: children and Maddie's like, okay, if that's what you need
- 6:26Speaker 5: to do, And so Mattie's.
- 6:27Speaker 4: Gonna try to do her own thing on a solo career.
- 6:29Speaker 5: Right Theovonne, he revealed that he goes to Bible study
- 6:33Speaker 5: with Morgan Wallen and this was not a joke.
- 6:36Speaker 4: He seemed very serious about it.
- 6:38Speaker 5: And this all came to be when Leanne Morgan, the
- 6:40Speaker 5: comedian asked Theovonne if more he knows if Morgan would
- 6:44Speaker 5: ever become a preacher, and theo kind of stumbled over that.
- 6:47Speaker 5: It made it seem like maybe that could be in
- 6:49Speaker 5: the works.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Now.
- 6:50Speaker 2: You never know when you get that calling. It's true.
- 6:52Speaker 4: Trisha Yearwood, she shared her Christmas tradition.
- 6:54Speaker 5: I absolutely love this at the cookie party, so she
- 6:57Speaker 5: has everyone come to her house bringing a batch of
- 6:59Speaker 5: cookies that has some kind of sentimental meaning for them,
- 7:02Speaker 5: like a childhood recipe or favorite family recipe. I just
- 7:05Speaker 5: love that she does that. That's what's going on today
- 7:07Speaker 5: in Nashville.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Sponsored by Anna jar and Levine accident attorneys call one
- 7:13Speaker 1: eight hundred seven four to seven free.
- 7:15Speaker 5: That's one eight hundred seven four seven three seven three
- 7:18Speaker 5: three All right.
- 7:19Speaker 3: We're calling on you to be much better on the
- 7:21Speaker 3: roads today. We had another rough day yesterday, awful accident
- 7:25Speaker 3: on IT ten and then caused another fatal accident further
- 7:29Speaker 3: a little bit west.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Yeah on iten.
- 7:31Speaker 1: So hoping the roads are better today. How we looking
- 7:33Speaker 1: so far, Joe, Well, not a good start. Ninety five
- 7:35Speaker 1: southbound at the Florida Georgia Line. All lanes blocked. That's
- 7:38Speaker 1: right there on the Saint Mary's side. Ninety five southbound
- 7:40Speaker 1: at the Florida Georgia Line. All it's a chilly start
- 7:43Speaker 1: with the big show. Frankie John and Meghan So John,
- 7:46Speaker 1: how you likeding your new ride?
- 7:47Speaker 2: Oh? Man, I love that thing, Honda Pilot.
- 7:50Speaker 1: It is a great I mean it's got more bells
- 7:52Speaker 1: and whistles that I'll never figure it all out?
- 7:55Speaker 2: Have you?
- 7:56Speaker 3: I like you done the obligatory? Oh you know what?
- 7:58Speaker 3: We we need something from the sore.
- 8:00Speaker 1: I'll go, oh yes, I'll go already I went to
- 8:03Speaker 1: go get the trash cans in. I mean, let me
- 8:07Speaker 1: go get the trash can. Honey, where did you took
- 8:09Speaker 1: it thirty minutes to bring the trash cans?
- 8:11Speaker 3: Well, you'll drive from here to like South Carolina to
- 8:15Speaker 3: run to the store.
- 8:16Speaker 2: It will be I love that ride. Oh my gosh,
- 8:18Speaker 2: it's so nice. It is nice. So I don't know
- 8:21Speaker 2: about you guys.
- 8:21Speaker 3: So when I was younger, you have cars that, like you,
- 8:27Speaker 3: they come with an instruction manual because there's so many
- 8:29Speaker 3: things broken on them.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Oh yeah, definitely an as is thing when you make
- 8:32Speaker 2: the purchase.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Yeah, Like you get the car. Like I once had
- 8:35Speaker 3: a car the driver door handle broke off. Yeah, so
- 8:38Speaker 3: you had to get in the passenger door. Yeah, climb over.
- 8:42Speaker 3: So when I have friends, we'd all go, you go
- 8:45Speaker 3: to get in my car. I wouldn't tell them, so
- 8:47Speaker 3: I'd go to getting the They were like, I'm not driving.
- 8:50Speaker 3: I'm like, no, no, I'm driving. But I'd have to get
- 8:52Speaker 3: in and climb over.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:54Speaker 5: Or that back seat reach where you can only get
- 8:56Speaker 5: in through the back door, so you have to reach
- 8:57Speaker 5: and pop open the driver's door.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Yep. Yeah.
- 9:01Speaker 1: I started thinking of that stuff when we got into
- 9:02Speaker 1: the brand new car where everything worked right, and we
- 9:04Speaker 1: started thinking. But remember with that and we really went
- 9:07Speaker 1: down memory lane with some of the stuff we used
- 9:09Speaker 1: to have with our cars. Because this is probably the
- 9:11Speaker 1: nicest car I've ever owned, and so we've gone back
- 9:13Speaker 1: to memory lane. I remember my brother in law had
- 9:16Speaker 1: a Volkswagon no floorboard.
- 9:18Speaker 2: In the back. Oh you can see the ground.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Yeah, we have like Fred flin Stone, if you had
- 9:22Speaker 1: to sit. The first time I got in the back
- 9:24Speaker 1: of that, he was like, oh yeah, you got to
- 9:25Speaker 1: put your feet up. That was adventure. Driving there makes.
- 9:28Speaker 4: You really grateful for the vehicles that you have that work.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Ain't that the truth? Oh?
- 9:32Speaker 3: Yeah, we want to hear from you or not here
- 9:34Speaker 3: whether you own you currently own this car that is
- 9:38Speaker 3: probably not really the safest or not the easiest to drive.
- 9:41Speaker 3: You got to do that one thing to it every
- 9:43Speaker 3: time calls it in nine oh four, three, eight, eight,
- 9:46Speaker 3: thirty six ninety nine, Meghan, have you ever had a
- 9:48Speaker 3: car that you probably know you should get rid of it,
- 9:51Speaker 3: but yeah, to make it run?
- 9:52Speaker 5: I mean, I since I'm such a gearhead girl and
- 9:55Speaker 5: was always working on stuff, I always just was like,
- 9:57Speaker 5: I can just fix it, right.
- 9:59Speaker 4: So I had one vehicle where I had the alternator.
- 10:03Speaker 5: Would always go out and the battery would always get
- 10:05Speaker 5: disconnected and electrical issues, so I'd have to pump the
- 10:08Speaker 5: brakes twice after the car had stopped and I'm on the.
- 10:10Speaker 4: Side of the road, hop out.
- 10:12Speaker 5: I have to reconnect the electrical tape under the hood,
- 10:15Speaker 5: get back, and then crank it.
- 10:17Speaker 4: A couple times and it would it would get back
- 10:18Speaker 4: and go on.
- 10:19Speaker 3: I had a uh as susu impulse that you had
- 10:22Speaker 3: to park on a hill because the starter was broken.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Oh no, you parked on a hill going downhill. You
- 10:29Speaker 3: could pop the clutch and it would start every day, right,
- 10:31Speaker 3: Oh yeah, or you'd have to have some buddies push
- 10:33Speaker 3: it to get it going.
- 10:34Speaker 1: I had a folks back in a rabbit pop the clutch,
- 10:36Speaker 1: so ide drive around town so I could find a
- 10:38Speaker 1: place that just had somewhat. We live in Florida. There's
- 10:40Speaker 1: not a lot of hills, so i'd I find one.
- 10:42Speaker 1: It was just enough. I could get it going and
- 10:44Speaker 1: pop the clutch.
- 10:45Speaker 2: This is one. This is a seat heater. Morning for sure.
- 10:47Speaker 2: You got those things. Turn them on.
- 10:50Speaker 1: You have levels on the seat heater. I know this
- 10:51Speaker 1: is first world problem. I mean I think there are levels,
- 10:53Speaker 1: but I only know use one. Yeah, three all the way,
- 10:57Speaker 1: just go to the top.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Burn burn that booty.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Oh that is intense, booty burning, booty burning morning.
- 11:03Speaker 3: It's everybody trying to, you know, save a little bit
- 11:06Speaker 3: of money during the holidays. Yeah, and let nobody won
- 11:09Speaker 3: the power Ball last line. By the way, Oh so
- 11:10Speaker 3: it's nine hundred and thirty million nine. There was a
- 11:13Speaker 3: million dollar tickets sold in Florida. I'm not sure where, okay,
- 11:16Speaker 3: but there was a million dollar tickets sold in Florida.
- 11:18Speaker 2: So we'll find that letter today.
- 11:19Speaker 3: However, if you're looking to make a little extra money, yes,
- 11:22Speaker 3: Oscar Meyer is looking for Wiener Mobile drivers.
- 11:26Speaker 4: I had a friend who was one of them really
- 11:28Speaker 4: in college. She got out of college and that's what
- 11:32Speaker 4: she did.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Or she liked the coolest person ever driving the Wienermobile.
- 11:36Speaker 4: I think she I think it wasn't all that she
- 11:38Speaker 4: thought it was going to be.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Oh really, yeah, but I don't know.
- 11:41Speaker 3: It says they're looking for hot doggers to get behind
- 11:43Speaker 3: the wheel Weedymobile to take the iconic vehicle on the road.
- 11:47Speaker 3: It's a one year, full time opportunity open to their
- 11:50Speaker 3: recent college graduate, with applications accepted through July thirty first.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Oscar Meyer says, we'll.
- 11:56Speaker 3: Hire twelve hotdoggers to drive the twenty seven foot long
- 12:00Speaker 3: hot dog on wheels. I mean, the face of their
- 12:02Speaker 3: multi billion dollar iconic brand, traveling across the country, visiting
- 12:06Speaker 3: upwards of thirty states and attending hundreds of events.
- 12:10Speaker 2: It's such a.
- 12:10Speaker 1: Stupid thing, but we all get excited about it.
- 12:14Speaker 4: I want to know if you get like hot dogs
- 12:16Speaker 4: while you're.
- 12:16Speaker 5: On the road, they have like a grill or something
- 12:18Speaker 5: in that would.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Be able to do that. I saw it one time.
- 12:21Speaker 1: It was staying at the hotel right up here on
- 12:23Speaker 1: Salisbury where we coming back back road here. Yeah, and
- 12:26Speaker 1: I'm stopping and I'm getting giddy. I'm like, you know,
- 12:28Speaker 1: it's like seeing Santa Claus. It's like that the wienomobiles there.
- 12:31Speaker 1: You know what the waiderbow Bill's been around since nineteen
- 12:33Speaker 1: thirty six, man, I know that that's an old Waiener man.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Still working.
- 12:41Speaker 3: Eight countries, appeared in television shows and movies.
- 12:44Speaker 2: Wow, I didn't know they worked that long.
- 12:47Speaker 4: Oh sorry, guys, it's my last day, I think my Colleen.
- 12:51Speaker 3: Man, that's getting to Megan's three things. That's going on?
- 12:55Speaker 2: What is up?
- 12:56Speaker 5: There is a lot going on unfortunately, the owner, the
- 13:00Speaker 5: founder of Sunny's Barbecue, He's passed away ninety six years tinety.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Six years old, though, what a wonderful life. Yes, Money's
- 13:08Speaker 1: Barbecue started what in Gainesville really known for being in Jacksonville.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Yeah, and he's big. He was a big Gator booster too.
- 13:15Speaker 2: I like that guy did.
- 13:17Speaker 4: Yeah, his legacy will live on, that's for sure.
- 13:19Speaker 5: Today the Jacksonville City Council is meeting to consent to
- 13:23Speaker 5: the Jumbo Shrimp being sold. Ken Babby, the owner, he's
- 13:26Speaker 5: moving to the Tampa Bay Rays. He became the CEO
- 13:29Speaker 5: in October. So he can't do both minor league and
- 13:32Speaker 5: major league. So he's going to do Major and we
- 13:34Speaker 5: can't really knock him for that.
- 13:35Speaker 1: I didn't know if he could do both because I
- 13:37Speaker 1: saw his name all over the new Rays because the
- 13:39Speaker 1: owners from Jacksonville too, and so I thought, well, maybe
- 13:42Speaker 1: you can. And then evidently you can't own a part
- 13:45Speaker 1: of a major league and a minor league team.
- 13:46Speaker 2: You can always bring the Rays here. That'd be nice
- 13:48Speaker 2: to it wouldn't hurt, Yeah, that would be cool.
- 13:52Speaker 5: There's a lot of community pushback on the parking increase
- 13:55Speaker 5: that's happening on the beaches. You know, it's five dollars
- 13:58Speaker 5: an hour and now to park New going right, and
- 14:01Speaker 5: the mayor is holding strong, but the community is saying
- 14:04Speaker 5: that's a little too pricey. And with I think it
- 14:07Speaker 5: was sixty five sixty to sixty nine businesses in that area.
- 14:11Speaker 2: I mean, Jack's a neptune in Atlantic Beach.
- 14:13Speaker 5: Yeah, you need more time to shop. That's what's going
- 14:15Speaker 5: on today. Three things all right, looking for.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Two callers to play the pop quiz right now?
- 14:18Speaker 1: You want to go see John Party and this Christmas
- 14:20Speaker 1: show at the Amphitheater in Saint Augustine this weekend. Be
- 14:23Speaker 1: caller nine, caller ten that you're playing the pop quiz
- 14:26Speaker 1: nine oh four, three, eight, eight thirty six ninety nine.
- 14:29Speaker 2: John's keeping an iron our roads? How does it look
- 14:31Speaker 2: so far?
- 14:31Speaker 1: Still looking at ninety five southbound at the Florida Georgia
- 14:34Speaker 1: Line and Saint Mary's. All lanes were blocked as of
- 14:37Speaker 1: last report, so you definitely want to go another way.
- 14:40Speaker 1: And also ten eastbound, I'm looking and seeing some red.
- 14:43Speaker 1: It looks like they're still doing some construction out there.
- 14:45Speaker 1: So you're saying, we're not cruising through the floor. John,
- 14:47Speaker 1: did you know Megan, did you know that today is
- 14:49Speaker 1: the sixty fifth birthday of Domino's Pizza?
- 14:53Speaker 2: Oohppy birthdays.
- 14:54Speaker 5: Domitoes my old employer six.
- 14:59Speaker 2: That's right. They're based in Michigan.
- 15:01Speaker 3: They're offering a free chocolate lava crunch cake with any
- 15:04Speaker 3: online order of at least ten dollars from now all
- 15:06Speaker 3: the way through December twenty second to celebrate their own birthday.
- 15:09Speaker 3: I love when companies have birthdays and we get the gifts. Yes,
- 15:12Speaker 3: I like that exactly.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Like Beard's Diamonds had their forty fourth anniversary and it
- 15:16Speaker 1: was like up to forty four percent off.
- 15:17Speaker 2: No, that kind of fun stuff. That's a good discount.
- 15:22Speaker 5: Popping cranberries are going viral right now, and I was
- 15:25Speaker 5: so confused on what this is because it's an actual cranberry.
- 15:28Speaker 4: Like it's not like a candy.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Okay, so it's a cranberry.
- 15:31Speaker 5: Yeah, and it's coated and like sugar powdered sugar.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Oh, you're getting my attention now.
- 15:36Speaker 5: And they you just add some citrus to it and
- 15:39Speaker 5: you have to leave it in the fridge, I guess
- 15:41Speaker 5: for like a whole day and then when you bite
- 15:43Speaker 5: into it, it pops in your mouth.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Oh okay. I thought we were going to be roasting
- 15:46Speaker 2: cranberries over and open via.
- 15:49Speaker 4: No, no, but they are. They look really good.
- 15:52Speaker 1: I think I'm gonna make some sounds good. There's an
- 15:55Speaker 1: international dessert cafe that embraces the motto and Chocolate we Trust.
- 16:00Speaker 1: They're going to debut the first United States restaurant right
- 16:02Speaker 1: here in Jacksonville. Oh yes, it's called Chocolate Bar. It
- 16:06Speaker 1: starts headquartered in Dubai.
- 16:08Speaker 4: Oh.
- 16:09Speaker 1: You know it's going to be chocolate, yeah, making a
- 16:12Speaker 1: final preparations. Is going to open right up the street here,
- 16:14Speaker 1: seventy five seventy Gate Parkway between the Saint John's Town
- 16:17Speaker 1: Center and Ikea right there. So it's going to be
- 16:21Speaker 1: going in that area. You know where the block Jacks is.
- 16:23Speaker 1: I think the round too. They're due by chocolate within
- 16:27Speaker 1: striking distance of us. Sign scary scary, scary scary. Kept
- 16:32Speaker 1: their New Year's resolution all year up to this day.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Thirty percent, Stacey. Is that number higher or lower?
- 16:40Speaker 5: Oh?
- 16:40Speaker 2: I was going to go with thirty percent.
- 16:42Speaker 4: I'm going to go lower.
- 16:44Speaker 1: You are right, it's a lot lower. Actually nine Wow,
- 16:47Speaker 1: it's going to get twout if I've halfway kept to it?
- 16:54Speaker 1: Does that matter except on holidays.
- 16:56Speaker 3: I did it once yesterday and is that still counting now?
- 17:00Speaker 2: A right? All right? Stacey gets to that point. And Stacy,
- 17:02Speaker 2: you get this question first.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Yesterday was the birthday one of our country superstars, Sam Hunt.
- 17:07Speaker 2: How old is Sam Hunt? Stacy, let's go forty two? Amanda?
- 17:12Speaker 2: Is he older or younger? Older? He's forty one? Wow.
- 17:18Speaker 2: I was a great guest. Stacy made it tough on Amanda.
- 17:21Speaker 1: So Stacy's going to be our winner today.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Thank you, Amanda, Thank you so much, no problem. Have
- 17:29Speaker 2: a good day, guys, have a good one, all right.
- 17:32Speaker 1: And Stacy, we got you covered for a Friday night.
- 17:36Speaker 1: This is a two night show. We got Friday night
- 17:38Speaker 1: tickets for you for John party at the end.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Awesome. That's awesome. Thank you so much.
- 17:42Speaker 1: We'll do this again tomorrow morning around seven ten. We'll
- 17:45Speaker 1: grab two more contestants to play at the pop quiz.
- 17:46Speaker 1: But Country ninety nine one wqik ik.
- 17:49Speaker 2: It was a messy down the roads yesterday. Today.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Looking to look, it's a big show with Froggie, John
- 17:54Speaker 1: and Megan. I'm telling you that Son's going to come out.
- 17:56Speaker 1: I can't really see it from our vantage point, right, now,
- 17:58Speaker 1: but I think it'll be today.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Well, it ain't gonna be very warm when it does
- 18:02Speaker 2: come out. I'm just shooting your street. John, That's how
- 18:05Speaker 2: it is. Mother.
- 18:07Speaker 1: They said fifty three is gonna be it feels like
- 18:08Speaker 1: for the high today. Oh my goodness. That lend's not
- 18:10Speaker 1: gonna help us.
- 18:11Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a bit of a chili start, Chili day,
- 18:14Speaker 3: Chili tonight. Are actually cold tonight, down into the upper
- 18:17Speaker 3: thirties tonight, and then tomorrow a little bit warmer. We'll
- 18:19Speaker 3: be back to seventy five by game time on Sunday
- 18:21Speaker 3: when our Jags whoop up on the Jets. Uh.
- 18:23Speaker 1: But when I get into tomorrow morning, it'd be great
- 18:24Speaker 1: to get a hot, steaming cup of coffee on a
- 18:26Speaker 1: cool morning.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Will you be able to put it in your mug?
- 18:28Speaker 2: Somebody stole No, I haven't found it yet, thank you
- 18:31Speaker 2: very much. So we talked about this yesterday.
- 18:33Speaker 3: John put his Waylon Jennings mug that he has had
- 18:35Speaker 3: for quite some time as long as I can remember.
- 18:38Speaker 3: Put it in the kitchen. He cleaned it, rinsed it out,
- 18:40Speaker 3: dried it everything, put it up in the cabinet last Friday.
- 18:43Speaker 3: Came in yesterday morning, wanted to have his coffee mugg
- 18:46Speaker 3: is gone, gone, nowhere to be seen nowhere.
- 18:48Speaker 1: I even walked around the sales pit just to kind
- 18:50Speaker 1: of see if somebody just grabbed it and right needed
- 18:53Speaker 1: a cup, and I'm looking none, no where.
- 18:55Speaker 3: So yesterday we decided to put out a snarky in
- 18:57Speaker 3: office email, which I mean the success rate.
- 19:01Speaker 1: On those is very high. I put my name on it.
- 19:02Speaker 1: But this was written by chat GPT, which is hilarious.
- 19:06Speaker 1: So go ahead read this email we put out to
- 19:08Speaker 1: the staff. I got no response.
- 19:10Speaker 5: By the way, the subject is missing my Wayland's jitting mug.
- 19:14Speaker 4: Yes that mug. Good morning everyone.
- 19:17Speaker 5: Over the weekend, a truly astonishing event took place in
- 19:20Speaker 5: our office kitchen. My Waylon Jennings coffee mug mysteriously vantage vanished.
- 19:26Speaker 5: It was sitting there on Friday in the cabinet, minding
- 19:28Speaker 5: its own business, being its usual iconic self, and now
- 19:32Speaker 5: it's gone.
- 19:33Speaker 4: If someone accidentally.
- 19:35Speaker 5: Picked it up, no worries, these things happened, Just kindly
- 19:38Speaker 5: return it to the kitchen. The w QIK studio were
- 19:41Speaker 5: anywhere and playing sight no questions asked, no judgment, no
- 19:45Speaker 5: outlaw country songs played loudly in your direction. But if
- 19:50Speaker 5: someone knowingly snagged it, just know you are drinking out
- 19:54Speaker 5: of a Legends cup and that kind of karma is bold.
- 19:57Speaker 5: Thanks in advance throw helping me reun with my beloved mug.
- 20:01Speaker 5: I'm currently drinking coffee out of a paper cup like
- 20:05Speaker 5: an animal.
- 20:06Speaker 2: John's cuck. I didn't right that.
- 20:11Speaker 3: I did sign off because I thought I was hilarious.
- 20:14Speaker 3: But we have not gotten it back yet. So once again,
- 20:16Speaker 3: if you know where John's mug is, we're going to
- 20:18Speaker 3: find it. We are going to find this mug. I
- 20:20Speaker 3: have a specific set of skills and you.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Willes that make me a nightmare for people. If you
- 20:26Speaker 2: return my coffee mug, nothing will happen, So it should
- 20:28Speaker 2: be the end of it. John's drinking out of a
- 20:30Speaker 2: paper cup today.
- 20:31Speaker 1: Like an animals to see John's cup.
- 20:36Speaker 2: Just returning here to the radio, sess we won't ask
- 20:38Speaker 2: any questions.
- 20:39Speaker 5: HDTV gave a big shout out to Saint Augustine, saying
- 20:43Speaker 5: it's one of the best places to visit for Christmas,
- 20:46Speaker 5: and do we really need more traffic?
- 20:49Speaker 4: But that's a great recognition.
- 20:51Speaker 3: Terrible to gosh, it's the worst you've ever seen. It's
- 20:54Speaker 3: not beautiful and you really shouldn't take a look at it.
- 20:58Speaker 4: Any employees don't even have a to parks.
- 21:02Speaker 5: Yeah, speaking of parking, a lot of pushback is happening
- 21:05Speaker 5: on the price increase for parking at the beach. The
- 21:08Speaker 5: mayor is holding strong on the change, but people are
- 21:12Speaker 5: not happy about this. Someone said they spent fifty bucks
- 21:15Speaker 5: at Pete's the other night just for being parked.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Whoops, five dollars an hour. Heaven knows what the bar
- 21:20Speaker 2: tab was too. That's they were there, Pete.
- 21:24Speaker 4: You know you're there for hours.
- 21:26Speaker 5: Today, the Jacksonville City Council is supposed to meet to
- 21:31Speaker 5: basically sign off to the Jumbo Shrimp being sold. Ken Babby,
- 21:35Speaker 5: the owner. He's moving on to the Tampa Bay Rays,
- 21:38Speaker 5: and we're sad to see him go. But this means
- 21:40Speaker 5: someone's going to be able to buy the jumbo shrimp.
- 21:44Speaker 2: How much money you got on you frog? We could
- 21:45Speaker 2: do that. I got twenty bucks, Yeah, I got a
- 21:47Speaker 2: lot of red.
- 21:48Speaker 1: That in about fifty million more we can get that.
- 21:50Speaker 2: That's what's going on today. At three things, let's quick
- 21:53Speaker 2: check on your Jacksonville traffick.
- 21:54Speaker 3: We are going to play Christmas lyrics for tickets coming
- 21:57Speaker 3: up in just a few minutes to get ready for that.
- 21:59Speaker 3: But first we'll check your road against you wherever you're going.
- 22:01Speaker 2: On time.
- 22:01Speaker 1: This has been happening. When was that froggy you said
- 22:03Speaker 1: about two thirty this morning that we had it this
- 22:05Speaker 1: morning an accent. Yeah, ninety five southbound at the Florida
- 22:07Speaker 1: Georgia line. It's over in Saint Mary's. All lanes are
- 22:10Speaker 1: still blocked. There was a fatality, ugly situation, and any
- 22:14Speaker 1: way that you're trying to get south from Georgia to
- 22:16Speaker 1: Florida is going to be pretty tough in that area.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Two ninety five southbound at Monument Road. Shoulders blocked, but
- 22:21Speaker 1: it's still slow, and you go and
