- 2:11Speaker 1: Now, before we get into this very important episode of
- 2:14Speaker 1: Welcome to plat Bil Beatrice, I do have to ask you.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Did you have any takeaways?
- 2:19Speaker 2: I do have a takeaway this week. It's a little serious, though.
- 2:22Speaker 2: I got to talk to you about it. I think
- 2:25Speaker 2: you fat shame too much. It's hurting my feelings. No,
- 2:28Speaker 2: it is not, it is I'm feeling very offended and
- 2:32Speaker 2: fat shame Kim Plath.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Any skill that I have cultivated in the area of
- 2:39Speaker 1: shaming Kim Plath comes from you, bitch. No, it definitely.
- 2:43Speaker 2: I am so nice.
- 2:44Speaker 1: No, you are now you are not. But what you think,
- 2:47Speaker 1: I'm fat shaming too much.
- 2:48Speaker 2: That's too much. It's hurting my feefees. Are you serious?
- 2:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm dead ass Okay, all right, well I can
- 2:56Speaker 1: take that note of criticism. I don't want to hurt
- 2:58Speaker 1: your feelings. But can I just like work this out
- 3:00Speaker 1: psychologically with you for a second and to just kind
- 3:03Speaker 1: of defend myself like that parent who never takes responsibility
- 3:07Speaker 1: for anything. Thank you first and foremost. I'm gen X.
- 3:12Speaker 1: I came up fighting for my life in the school
- 3:17Speaker 1: yards and public schools of Hawaii. Okay, people were insulted
- 3:21Speaker 1: and offended. And yes, do I want a better world?
- 3:23Speaker 1: Do I want everybody to feel good? I do? But
- 3:25Speaker 1: sometimes I can't help that. I come to the party
- 3:28Speaker 1: with a little aggression. I do. I do. I try.
- 3:31Speaker 1: I try not to do it too much, and I
- 3:33Speaker 1: self censor as well. Often you should see me self
- 3:38Speaker 1: censoring all the time. However, Comma, when it comes to
- 3:43Speaker 1: Kim Plath and her obesity, look, I'm fat. Okay, I'm fat.
- 3:54Speaker 1: You say I'm fat. Our whole family's fat. There's a
- 3:58Speaker 1: lot of fat people in our family.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Big to differ, a lot of fat.
- 4:02Speaker 1: People in her family, like, it's not it's kim Plath.
- 4:07Speaker 1: I have a problem with kim Plath and to me,
- 4:10Speaker 1: her selfishness, her indulgences, the way she's taken from her
- 4:16Speaker 1: family and gorged on the privilege that she has been given,
- 4:20Speaker 1: university education, fucking seventeen homes. She's got a barn where
- 4:25Speaker 1: she hides her eminem's and her vodka. She takes what
- 4:28Speaker 1: she wants and she doesn't give back, and I feel
- 4:31Speaker 1: like a little bit. This is expressed in how much
- 4:34Speaker 1: she drinks, the fact that she had a duy, wrapped
- 4:37Speaker 1: her car around a tree, how she raised her dumb,
- 4:39Speaker 1: emotionally unintelligent children, and how fat she is.
- 4:43Speaker 2: No, I just feel like that sounds.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Like heard of it? No, And I when it comes
- 4:49Speaker 1: to kim Plath, I don't give a.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Fuck facts though.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Furthermore, she's fat shaming herself on this show. She likes
- 4:56Speaker 1: getting up and using a kettlebell for me to see with.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Eyes, those yoga pants with the camel.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Cameltoe, cameltoe yoga pants kettle balls, Like she's asking me,
- 5:09Speaker 1: she's begging me to come for her. But I I
- 5:13Speaker 1: accept the criticism. I will try to do better. Okay, good,
- 5:17Speaker 1: let me do but I acknowledge. But now I do.
- 5:19Speaker 1: I acknowledge that I I do a little bit too much,
- 5:22Speaker 1: and so I'm going to try and curtail that because
- 5:25Speaker 1: I I am watch bitch. Okay, let me show how
- 5:29Speaker 1: much better I can be as a person. Oh okay,
- 5:32Speaker 1: but that's a good note, thank you. My takeaway is
- 5:37Speaker 1: that I'm very concerned for I'm sending up the flair
- 5:41Speaker 1: for the Raccoons about this show, because when when I
- 5:44Speaker 1: tell you, girls, we entered into this season with so
- 5:47Speaker 1: much optimism, is like a newborn babe just looking around. Gawka, Google,
- 5:53Speaker 1: I'm so excited about what's to come. We came out
- 5:56Speaker 1: of a rocking bomb ass sees and seven with that hyena, nutcracker,
- 6:02Speaker 1: Veronica is that body shape, a little bit that demon Veronica, vampires,
- 6:08Speaker 1: a little bit of Olivia, and then the season before
- 6:10Speaker 1: we had like a lot of crazy Wanda drama energy,
- 6:14Speaker 1: like and that season was so good. I was excited. Yeah,
- 6:18Speaker 1: I was excited for season eight. But I am being
- 6:21Speaker 1: let down in such a profound way. I hurt. I
- 6:25Speaker 1: heard in my heart about it because of the expectations
- 6:28Speaker 1: that I had, And so I just want to go
- 6:29Speaker 1: into this recap letting you know there are two wolves
- 6:32Speaker 1: inside of me.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Yeah. Same though I was bored and I'm like, why
- 6:37Speaker 2: are we doing so many conversations?
- 6:39Speaker 1: Like so many like redundant? Oh my god, have already
- 6:45Speaker 1: had Yeah? I had him last week. Yeah, we're having
- 6:47Speaker 1: him this week.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:49Speaker 1: I know you love Teague and Ethan. You don't have
- 6:51Speaker 1: to say it seventeen times in the same episode for
- 6:54Speaker 1: weirdo real.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree with you. Okay, even though you've fat.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Shamed, I'm gonna try and work on that. Thank y'all. Please,
- 7:03Speaker 1: if you're sensitive, you might not want to listen to
- 7:05Speaker 1: this podcast.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Stop listening right now.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Okay, without further ado, let's get into this week's recap
- 7:11Speaker 1: of Welcome to Blackville Season eight, episode four.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Tattooed that dog won't hunt? Okay, what is that referencing?
- 7:21Speaker 1: I don't know what in the show it's referencing. I
- 7:23Speaker 1: know what it means. It's a phrase like that's just
- 7:25Speaker 1: not gonna work. That's what that means.
- 7:28Speaker 2: It doesn't make sense. Okay, so kim Blas, I don't
- 7:30Speaker 2: know what that means.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Uh.
- 7:32Speaker 2: We start the episode, though kind of high with Barry
- 7:37Speaker 2: delivering oats to the former Plath family farm where Kim
- 7:43Speaker 2: and Ken are fornicating and living in with all of
- 7:46Speaker 2: his old man shit. And so Barry comes over with
- 7:49Speaker 2: his druck and his oats, and then Ken waddles on
- 7:52Speaker 2: out over there to talk to him. And I'm wondering
- 7:56Speaker 2: why and also the audacity of this one racist to
- 8:01Speaker 2: go and talk to Barry who he stole Kim from.
- 8:05Speaker 2: I don't know, just very odd to me. And this
- 8:07Speaker 2: conversation felt super fucking forced.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Very much. So why are we doing this? Why are
- 8:14Speaker 1: we pretending to tolerate Ken Palmer?
- 8:17Speaker 2: I know, I don't get it with this.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Fake conversation about oats and then a juicer because the
- 8:24Speaker 1: juicer Berry is on his fatness journey.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Well I did like that Barry being like, I'm on
- 8:32Speaker 2: a health journey, and Kim used to juice all the
- 8:35Speaker 2: time back when she was healthy and skinny, and so
- 8:38Speaker 2: I'm just wondering, since she doesn't use the juicer anymore, obviously,
- 8:44Speaker 2: can I borrow the juicer? And Kim Palmer's like, sure,
- 8:49Speaker 2: somewhere in the world. I think I know it's where
- 8:52Speaker 2: it adds.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Fat shaming in saying this literally, Berry is fat shaming.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Berry's literally saying yeah, and.
- 8:59Speaker 1: He's definitely deeply implying yes, that he's not attracted to
- 9:04Speaker 1: Kim Plath as she.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Is now well, and that she obviously is not concerned
- 9:08Speaker 2: about a healthy diet or a healthy lifestyle.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Like they used to live. Yeah, of course, we get
- 9:13Speaker 1: a flashback of the happy Aryan Nation family in the
- 9:18Speaker 1: the Plath farm with their honey and their organic food,
- 9:23Speaker 1: and it's just not that way anymore. Kim has changed
- 9:26Speaker 1: a lot, and I'll let y'all do doce as to
- 9:27Speaker 1: how exactly.
- 9:29Speaker 2: And so then Barry and Ken waddle into the house
- 9:33Speaker 2: to look for the juicer because Barry wants to borrow
- 9:36Speaker 2: it and Ken stupidly is like, sure, you can have it.
- 9:39Speaker 2: So then they go walk around in the house and
- 9:41Speaker 2: you get a glimpse of how Ken and Kim are living,
- 9:44Speaker 2: and the.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Little girls too, Waler. It is so messy.
- 9:49Speaker 2: It's so messy.
- 9:51Speaker 1: It's not to the level of Hoarders, but it's like,
- 9:55Speaker 1: what's going on? Why don't you guys have the energy
- 9:58Speaker 1: to pick up after yourself? This episode can't be entirely.
- 10:06Speaker 2: I didn't say anything.
- 10:08Speaker 1: I didn't say I'm literally trying not to. But you're
- 10:10Speaker 1: using words like wattle and such. I'm just making it hard,
- 10:14Speaker 1: is all. I'm saying.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Ten is waddling.
- 10:16Speaker 1: He is, but he might have a bum leg or
- 10:17Speaker 1: something because he's a veteran. I don't know, but it's
- 10:20Speaker 1: so stupid. And he's asking Barry about Barry's dating life.
- 10:23Speaker 1: I don't imagine. Say your wife teeths on you say
- 10:28Speaker 1: you have a whole family. Yeah, okay, you're a tad
- 10:29Speaker 1: wife and everything, has seventeen children. And then your wife
- 10:32Speaker 1: cheeths on you, leaves you for another woman, and then
- 10:37Speaker 1: you go over to pick up your kids or something,
- 10:39Speaker 1: and that other woman comes out, and it's like, oh
- 10:40Speaker 1: you dayting girl. First of all, that woman, you would
- 10:44Speaker 1: have it. You would catch a case.
- 10:45Speaker 2: I would be in federal prison.
- 10:46Speaker 1: I would be with you, and I'd be beating that hoe.
- 10:49Speaker 2: So how does.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Barry stand there? I don't know, have a reasonable conversation.
- 10:55Speaker 2: I literally I'm just like watching this and I was
- 10:59Speaker 2: thinking about your hu spend during this, because your husband,
- 11:03Speaker 2: to me, is the epitome of like he's a big
- 11:07Speaker 2: macho man, not macho, but like he's a masculine man.
- 11:10Speaker 1: He's a boy from Texas.
- 11:12Speaker 2: He's a boy from Texas. He takes no crap whatsoever.
- 11:15Speaker 2: And he's also very direct, like, if he doesn't like you,
- 11:18Speaker 2: he's gonna tell you. You will know that, you will know
- 11:20Speaker 2: just in his energy. But like Barry, on the other hand,
- 11:24Speaker 2: is so spineless. I'm like, why are you even sitting
- 11:27Speaker 2: here talking to this man? This man doesn't deserve your time.
- 11:30Speaker 2: I mean, I guess you guys were friends before he
- 11:32Speaker 2: cheated on your.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Wife or cheated on you with him exactly.
- 11:37Speaker 2: So I just don't understand why Barry's even taking it
- 11:39Speaker 2: or being nice.
- 11:40Speaker 1: It's like a humiliation ritual for really extremely degrading. For
- 11:44Speaker 1: Barry to do this, it's less super weird, trying to
- 11:46Speaker 1: take the high road. Maybe by the time maybe him
- 11:49Speaker 1: leaves him for another man, he doesn't give a fuck.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Maybe he can't stand her. Yeah, and maybe he's looking
- 11:54Speaker 2: at Ken Palmer being like, well, this man's not a price.
- 11:58Speaker 2: And then you go to the house and you see
- 11:59Speaker 2: how they're living with shit just everywhere. Yeah, clutter everywhere.
- 12:03Speaker 2: You have cameras come in into your house. Why is
- 12:05Speaker 2: your house not fucking spotless? I don't understand. And then
- 12:07Speaker 2: we got to see Kid's jukebox and his weird old
- 12:11Speaker 2: manships and decorations and stuff, and I'm just like, what
- 12:14Speaker 2: are we doing? And then Barry's like, can we listen
- 12:17Speaker 2: to a song on the jukebox? Can we press something
- 12:21Speaker 2: on there and listen to some music?
- 12:23Speaker 1: I just I could. I just kept thinking about Amber,
- 12:27Speaker 1: Cassia and Mercy. Yeah, the three littlest baby girls who
- 12:30Speaker 1: have to live in this hovel with Kim and her
- 12:35Speaker 1: infidelity partner as they're getting drunk at night and eating cake,
- 12:39Speaker 1: and these poor girls, I know they need a proper upbringing.
- 12:42Speaker 1: I just feel very concerned about it.
- 12:45Speaker 2: For the too. Ken gives me the creeps, honestly, Like
- 12:48Speaker 2: I just he weirds me out. Maybe it's because he's
- 12:51Speaker 2: a one eyed racist. Maybe he's just weird. I just
- 12:55Speaker 2: don't like him. And so then we shift gears and
- 12:57Speaker 2: then we have Ethan at Russell's no military vehicles, and
- 13:02Speaker 2: I don't know what this is about. This felt the
- 13:05Speaker 2: most produced to me out of the whole episode, Like
- 13:08Speaker 2: all the conversations, like this was so fake because it
- 13:13Speaker 2: was just like a platform for Ethan to talk about
- 13:17Speaker 2: how much he loves Teagan, to show off all of
- 13:19Speaker 2: his wallet pictures of Teagan to talk about how he's
- 13:22Speaker 2: gonna go up to Wisconsin and surprise her, and he's
- 13:25Speaker 2: going to show his commitment to her by moving up
- 13:28Speaker 2: to Wisconsin without telling her. I'm gonna get an apartment
- 13:31Speaker 2: two minutes away from where she lives, and then I'll
- 13:35Speaker 2: tell her that I live right near her again, and babe,
- 13:38Speaker 2: she'll take me back. Like, I don't know. It just
- 13:40Speaker 2: felt super weird. And then Russell's over there, like, oh
- 13:43Speaker 2: my god, Ethan, that's amazing.
- 13:45Speaker 1: He was so weird.
- 13:46Speaker 2: It was fake.
- 13:47Speaker 1: It was very fake. Russell was fake, effusive, and Ethan
- 13:53Speaker 1: has nothing else to offer the show. Olivia is gone,
- 13:58Speaker 1: he's made up with Kim. There's no additional conflict. So
- 14:01Speaker 1: this is all he has and this is his paycheck. Yeah,
- 14:04Speaker 1: this is his only job. I know that he like
- 14:06Speaker 1: knocks around in various body shops and makes a few
- 14:09Speaker 1: bucks or whatever, but this is how he makes his
- 14:11Speaker 1: primary living. Yeah, he's on the show, so this is
- 14:13Speaker 1: why he's doing it. And it's boring. I'm bored.
- 14:16Speaker 2: It's super boring. And I don't know what's gonna happen
- 14:19Speaker 2: with him in Teagan. I'm assuming they get back together,
- 14:22Speaker 2: but like on their instagrams right now current day, it
- 14:25Speaker 2: doesn't look like they're together. Maybe that's for the show,
- 14:28Speaker 2: but I'm just like, I'm super bored. The only thing
- 14:31Speaker 2: I guess that's interesting is seeing Ethan kind of smile
- 14:34Speaker 2: for the first time and like forever when he's talking
- 14:37Speaker 2: about Teagan. I'm like, that's great that you're happy and everything,
- 14:40Speaker 2: but you should have moved and stayed in Wisconsin. Then
- 14:43Speaker 2: if you were so happy with this girl who you
- 14:45Speaker 2: claim to be your best friend and you claim to
- 14:48Speaker 2: love more than anybody in the world, like you should
- 14:51Speaker 2: have just stayed there.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Well. I did think it was curious that Russell said
- 14:56Speaker 1: he thought Ethan going up to Wisconsin pursuing t Hegan
- 15:01Speaker 1: was a mistake.
- 15:02Speaker 2: Yeah, and a rebound and.
- 15:03Speaker 1: A rebound from Olivia. So what Russell is picking up
- 15:07Speaker 1: in the ether is that Ethan might still have some
- 15:12Speaker 1: residual issues around Olivia. Maybe they're not fully resolved at
- 15:16Speaker 1: this time. They're certainly not divorced, yeah, and so maybe
- 15:19Speaker 1: it does kind of feel like a rebound.
- 15:21Speaker 2: I could see that, but I'm bored.
- 15:24Speaker 1: I don't care. I'm like, that is a problem. I
- 15:26Speaker 1: don't care.
- 15:27Speaker 2: I don't care at all, and I feel like we're
- 15:29Speaker 2: gonna draw it out for many episodes of him moving
- 15:32Speaker 2: to Wisconsin and then rekindling their relationship. I wonder if
- 15:35Speaker 2: we'll get to see Tagan.
- 15:37Speaker 1: I think we do, maybe think we sought her into
- 15:38Speaker 1: preview for the season.
- 15:40Speaker 2: But like last year, she was very quiet, very ticky.
- 15:44Speaker 2: So I don't think she's going to bring us the
- 15:46Speaker 2: drama that we want. So why are we even talking
- 15:49Speaker 2: about I don't know. I just don't care. And then
- 15:53Speaker 2: we have Barry meeting on a zoom call with his
- 15:56Speaker 2: matchmaker expert Renee Yeah, who he apparently has met with before,
- 16:04Speaker 2: where he answered a bunch of questions and learned about
- 16:08Speaker 2: love languages and learned about what his love language was.
- 16:11Speaker 2: But we didn't get to hear what that is.
- 16:13Speaker 1: It's physical touch, isn't it you think it is? I
- 16:16Speaker 1: bet it's physical touch EO. I was just like, you
- 16:21Speaker 1: would think that after so many seasons on television, and
- 16:25Speaker 1: I would hope at least taking some of the feedback
- 16:28Speaker 1: that you're getting from the viewers, you would think he
- 16:30Speaker 1: would be self aware. Yeah, to know that he's kind
- 16:34Speaker 1: of creepy, Like his general aspect is a little strange. Yeah,
- 16:39Speaker 1: and in specific how he talks about love and romance.
- 16:42Speaker 1: It just comes off as really strange. So you would
- 16:44Speaker 1: think he would go into these scenes and maybe regulate
- 16:48Speaker 1: some of his organic reactions to stuff, but he doesn't.
- 16:52Speaker 1: He's creepier than I've ever seen him. I forget what
- 16:57Speaker 1: he was saying when he referenced blowing or a blow.
- 17:02Speaker 1: He said something about.
- 17:04Speaker 2: Oh, he said, don't go slower than fifty, otherwise you'll.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Blow in talking about Sandra Bullock yeah, and the movie
- 17:12Speaker 1: she did with Keanu Reeves, and I was like, I
- 17:13Speaker 1: know he doesn't mean it the way I'm going to
- 17:17Speaker 1: take it for sure, but like, I would love for
- 17:19Speaker 1: you to just check yourself out a little bit and
- 17:22Speaker 1: not be so weird. Arry, you're very, very weird.
- 17:24Speaker 2: I'm just like I was watching this, I'm like, dude,
- 17:26Speaker 2: you have a thousand children, so obviously you know hat fluck. Yeah,
- 17:31Speaker 2: why are you acting like a total virgin? Like you're
- 17:33Speaker 2: acting like such a weird He acts like the fifty
- 17:37Speaker 2: year old virgin does. He's never touched a woman in
- 17:39Speaker 2: his life.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Wasn't he married as well before him?
- 17:42Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 17:42Speaker 1: So like he's had other relationships he's got his pencil wet. Yeah,
- 17:46Speaker 1: why are you so fucking strange?
- 17:48Speaker 2: So bizarre? And then the matchmaker's like, well, what do
- 17:51Speaker 2: you look for in a woman? Meaning what do you
- 17:53Speaker 2: look for personality wise? And he's like, all of toned skin,
- 17:58Speaker 2: I want the Sandra Bullock look. What can we stop?
- 18:02Speaker 2: I did kind of like that though, him saying that
- 18:04Speaker 2: he wants the Sandra Bullock look because it's the complete
- 18:06Speaker 2: and utter opposite of Kim.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Well, and he also said some other things like I
- 18:10Speaker 1: need her to not be manipulating. Yeah that was I
- 18:13Speaker 1: need her to not be controlling. Yeah, I need her
- 18:16Speaker 1: not to be an alpha female because I've dealt with
- 18:18Speaker 1: a lot of that horseshit and I don't want that
- 18:20Speaker 1: again ever.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Yikes. Okay, Kim, okay. Kim was obviously terrible. And then
- 18:26Speaker 2: he I think he talked a little bit about their
- 18:28Speaker 2: divorce or talked about like their relationship ending, because the
- 18:31Speaker 2: matchmaker was like, well, why do you think it ended?
- 18:34Speaker 2: And he was very polite I think in this where
- 18:37Speaker 2: he's like, you know, it takes two to make a
- 18:40Speaker 2: relationship work. It also takes two to make a relationship end.
- 18:43Speaker 2: And you know, there were some things that I reflected
- 18:45Speaker 2: on that I could have done better, Like Kim said
- 18:47Speaker 2: that I didn't meet all of her needs and I
- 18:50Speaker 2: didn't love her enough, and so you know, I took
- 18:52Speaker 2: that to heart, and I've matured and now I'm ready
- 18:56Speaker 2: to bang to fuck to fuck.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Yeahkes, Like, I don't think that storyline is going to
- 19:04Speaker 1: sustain us this season and into the upcoming seasons because
- 19:09Speaker 1: it's very strange. I can't imagine the kind of woman
- 19:13Speaker 1: a guy like Barry might attract. And I'm a haterosexical. Yeah, Like,
- 19:17Speaker 1: so I like dudes and stuff, and I'm of a
- 19:19Speaker 1: certain age and if I was out on the marriage
- 19:21Speaker 1: market or whatever and I was looking first on body,
- 19:24Speaker 1: like he's I mean, I could get over his head. Yeah,
- 19:28Speaker 1: he's got a good body. Yeah, he's gainfully employed. Yes,
- 19:31Speaker 1: he's got some properties. I mean there's a lot that
- 19:32Speaker 1: he's got going for him. But like he's so strange.
- 19:35Speaker 2: He's super awkward, very quirky.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Yeah, and there's just there's just the vibration of degen
- 19:43Speaker 1: with him. There's a vibration and a lot of people,
- 19:46Speaker 1: like on Reddit will say pdf file not that he is,
- 19:49Speaker 1: and there's no there's there's absolutely no evidence to the fact,
- 19:52Speaker 1: but people get the sniff, the smell, the feel of
- 19:56Speaker 1: that from him, Like he's just creepy, creepy.
- 20:00Speaker 2: He is kind of creepy. Yeah, And like to me,
- 20:02Speaker 2: I'm just like Barry just be more of a direct
- 20:06Speaker 2: person to me. He's two passive.
- 20:08Speaker 1: He's very passive.
- 20:09Speaker 2: So when I look at him and I can you know,
- 20:11Speaker 2: I might be gay, but I can appreciate an attractive
- 20:14Speaker 2: man when I see them. And Barry to me, well,
- 20:17Speaker 2: you know, I don't know I can name any off
- 20:21Speaker 2: the top of my head.
- 20:21Speaker 1: That's X to doubt.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, but like with Barry, I look at him
- 20:25Speaker 2: and I'm like, there's really nothing redeeming about you besides
- 20:28Speaker 2: maybe your body everything else. I'm like money, the money
- 20:32Speaker 2: he can provide, Yeah, he can provide, he's successful or whatever.
- 20:36Speaker 1: Why does he need the show? Why does he doing this?
- 20:38Speaker 1: What's the motivation? I mean, is Kim somehow pressuring him
- 20:43Speaker 1: to do it and exchange for something that she gives him,
- 20:47Speaker 1: he'll do it? Like, I just don't see the upside
- 20:49Speaker 1: for somebody like Barry.
- 20:50Speaker 2: There really isn't any upside. And now we're just gonna
- 20:53Speaker 2: have to watch a Barry dating arc, which I was
- 20:55Speaker 2: originally excited for, but after seeing how he talks to
- 20:59Speaker 2: this matchmaker, I'm like, ooh, I'm cringing, and not in
- 21:02Speaker 2: a good way where I'm enjoying myself, in a way
- 21:04Speaker 2: where I want to look away and not watch this
- 21:08Speaker 2: because it's very awkward. I just I don't know, we'll see.
- 21:12Speaker 2: And then he talks about how his girls don't really
- 21:15Speaker 2: know that he's interested in dating, but they want him
- 21:18Speaker 2: to get a girlfriend, probably because he's fucking weird. Dad,
- 21:21Speaker 2: You're weird, and Sangle right, stop watching shit on TV
- 21:26Speaker 2: and go out and find somebody. So then we shift
- 21:30Speaker 2: gears and we go into the Plath family farm in
- 21:35Speaker 2: the forest, where we have Kim and Isaac pushing down
- 21:39Speaker 2: dead trees. And I just want to say to the
- 21:42Speaker 2: audio people on TLC of this episode, we didn't need that.
- 21:46Speaker 2: I didn't need Kim grunting and pushing down trees. Why
- 21:51Speaker 2: I don't want to hear that it sounds like she's
- 21:54Speaker 2: taking a shit. It did in the woods.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Well, they start that scene just the trees rocking and
- 22:01Speaker 1: a lot of grunting and breathing. So I was thinking, like,
- 22:06Speaker 1: is Ken Palmer and are they fucking against a dead tree?
- 22:11Speaker 1: Are they having a romantic moment? And then we pan
- 22:14Speaker 1: over to know it's Isaac and his mom, Kim, pushing
- 22:18Speaker 1: over dead trees. Oh, it was very strange.
- 22:20Speaker 2: It was very weird. And also I hated this scene
- 22:23Speaker 2: because it's Kim pretending like she's a good mom and
- 22:26Speaker 2: she cares about her kids and cares about what's going
- 22:29Speaker 2: on in their lives. And it's just her talking to
- 22:32Speaker 2: Isaac about him breaking up with Kaylin and okay, well.
- 22:39Speaker 1: And everything he says in this conversation with Kim, he
- 22:43Speaker 1: actually said last week with that Rando coworker at the
- 22:46Speaker 1: peanut farm, and he actually said that before to the camera,
- 22:50Speaker 1: Like we've actually had this scene conversation, Yeah, a multitude
- 22:53Speaker 1: of time. So we really didn't need this scene except
- 22:57Speaker 1: for Kim's hidden hand behind the scene to appear as
- 23:00Speaker 1: a great mother, and so she's producing the scene in
- 23:03Speaker 1: order to do so, and Isaac's going along with it.
- 23:06Speaker 1: I don't there's something about this that I'm not buying.
- 23:09Speaker 1: With Isaac and Caylin, it doesn't seem real to me.
- 23:13Speaker 2: What do you mean their breakup? Yeah, I don't know.
- 23:15Speaker 1: If I'm thinking This is a family like the Real
- 23:19Speaker 1: Housewives of Beverly Hills that meets before a season. They
- 23:23Speaker 1: have a big meeting and they talk about the storylines
- 23:26Speaker 1: that they're going to have for the upcoming season. And
- 23:29Speaker 1: Kim's storyline is going to be Ken Palmer is living
- 23:32Speaker 1: in my house and I'm fat And that's that's Kim,
- 23:34Speaker 1: That's what she says. Yeah, Barry's storyline is dating. Isaac's
- 23:37Speaker 1: is I've broken up, but we don't have a reason
- 23:39Speaker 1: for the breakup other than he feels pressured because it's
- 23:43Speaker 1: all happening so fast, Like just none of this strikes
- 23:46Speaker 1: me as real be a true.
- 23:48Speaker 2: Yeah, it felt really stupid to me. I'm just like,
- 23:50Speaker 2: why are we even talking about it? And furthermore, why
- 23:53Speaker 2: are you talking to your mom about it? Because it's
- 23:55Speaker 2: not like she's a reliable source for good relationships, I mean, which.
- 23:58Speaker 1: She kind of talks about.
- 23:59Speaker 2: She does, but she doesn't take ownership for it. So
- 24:03Speaker 2: she says something to the effect of, like, all of
- 24:05Speaker 2: my older kids have had really hard times with relationships.
- 24:10Speaker 2: And after that she could have said, maybe it's because
- 24:14Speaker 2: I destroyed the family by cheating on their dad with
- 24:17Speaker 2: a drunk alcohol with a drunk alcoholic well, and with
- 24:20Speaker 2: an alcoholic.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Even before that, because I instilled in them these religious
- 24:24Speaker 1: virtues of purity, and all of my Christian tenants, and
- 24:29Speaker 1: I brought them up in this particular way, and then
- 24:32Speaker 1: I completely abandoned that life, and right I became a hypocrite.
- 24:36Speaker 1: And now they're all mad or whatever. Like she yeah,
- 24:38Speaker 1: she doesn't have any self reflection in this moment at all.
- 24:42Speaker 1: She's like, you know, I really feel like it would
- 24:45Speaker 1: benefit couples if they didn't have sex before marriage. And
- 24:49Speaker 1: I'm like, Okay, you are living, you're still married?
- 24:52Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 24:52Speaker 1: Are you still married in this moment? Maybe not. No,
- 24:54Speaker 1: they're divorced, Okay, but you're living with Ken Palmer. Yeah,
- 24:58Speaker 1: this is the man you cheated and bury with. You've
- 25:01Speaker 1: brought him into the family home. You're exposing your young
- 25:03Speaker 1: girls to this degenerat of a man, and you're gonna
- 25:06Speaker 1: lecture people in your viewing public about fornication.
- 25:11Speaker 2: And you're literally fucking him before you're.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Married to him, while you were married to somebody else. Yes,
- 25:16Speaker 1: and that man thought he was married to you in
- 25:17Speaker 1: a relationship.
- 25:18Speaker 2: So then you want to say that it's better to
- 25:19Speaker 2: wait until marriage to have sex, like shut up, dude.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Well then she very quickly said, but like time has
- 25:25Speaker 1: passed and now I realize you actually should fuck before
- 25:28Speaker 1: marriage and get to know your partner. And so that's
- 25:30Speaker 1: what I want for my kids, just like I get Okay,
- 25:32Speaker 1: I don't understand you, Kim.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Great, she doesn't make any fucking sense because she doesn't
- 25:36Speaker 2: really know who she is. And I could have sympathy
- 25:39Speaker 2: for that if she wasn't such a shitty person. You know,
- 25:42Speaker 2: That's just what I'm gonna say. But I just I
- 25:44Speaker 2: felt bad for Isaac because he's obviously lost, he's obviously confused,
- 25:49Speaker 2: and if this breakup with Kaylin is real, I do
- 25:52Speaker 2: feel bad for him because he realizes that he made
- 25:55Speaker 2: a mistake because she is a good girl. She is smart,
- 25:58Speaker 2: she's pretty, he's a nurse, and she cares about Isaac,
- 26:03Speaker 2: which Kim is quick to point out in this segment.
- 26:06Speaker 2: You know that the first thing that Caylen says to
- 26:10Speaker 2: her when she I guess called Kim after the breakup
- 26:14Speaker 2: was just make sure Isaac's okay. Like she is a
- 26:16Speaker 2: very sweet person. So Isaac seems to regret what he did.
- 26:21Speaker 2: He hopes he can get her back newsplash. He probably
- 26:25Speaker 2: does because they're still together or whatever, which is great,
- 26:29Speaker 2: but I'm bored. We don't need to.
- 26:30Speaker 1: Watch this pan out, No, we do not.
- 26:33Speaker 2: Then we go over to the other Plath family home
- 26:36Speaker 2: that is now Barry's, the nice house in town, where
- 26:41Speaker 2: Barry's telling the younger girls he's going to start dating.
- 26:44Speaker 1: That house is still up for sale, by the way, Yeah,
- 26:47Speaker 1: that house is still up for sale. I think it
- 26:49Speaker 1: has dropped in price. It is currently on the market
- 26:52Speaker 1: for something like six forty nine or that's crazy twenty nine. Yeah,
- 26:55Speaker 1: it's it's in careag super It is very and it's
- 26:59Speaker 1: kind of dated as well. But anyway, I think they've
- 27:00Speaker 1: been trying to sell this house for quite some time.
- 27:03Speaker 2: Well maybe don't sell it for a crazy amount of
- 27:06Speaker 2: money in the middle of fucking nowhere in Georgia.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Well that's what's happening in our country right now.
- 27:10Speaker 2: I know it's bullshit. I'm mad about it, but anyway,
- 27:13Speaker 2: So Barry's telling the younger girls, hey, I'm thinking about
- 27:15Speaker 2: fucking other women again, and the girls are like, great,
- 27:18Speaker 2: we've been waiting for that for a million years, because
- 27:20Speaker 2: mom's been fucking Kim Palmer for five years now, So
- 27:23Speaker 2: get on it, Dad, And then he asks them, you know,
- 27:26Speaker 2: what do you want or what would you like to
- 27:28Speaker 2: see in one of my future partners? And they're like, well,
- 27:31Speaker 2: she's gotta like music, she's got to like water activities
- 27:35Speaker 2: because we go to being, and she's also got to
- 27:38Speaker 2: be good at communicating, and she's got to be motherly. Yikes, yeah, yikes.
- 27:44Speaker 1: You can kind of infer, yeah, what they are missing
- 27:47Speaker 1: maybe with their actual mother.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Well, Kim doesn't strike me as a very maternal or
- 27:52Speaker 2: nurturing person whatsoever.
- 27:54Speaker 1: Lydia does, Yes, what she had to be?
- 27:56Speaker 2: Yes, and now she's you know, married to zach Asta
- 28:00Speaker 2: there and then we shift gears and we go back
- 28:05Speaker 2: to Kim and she's talking about her wheat journey because.
- 28:09Speaker 1: She's just gonna be quiet in this segment.
- 28:11Speaker 2: Look, so Kim says herself, I'm not saying this to
- 28:14Speaker 2: shame her. She says herself, I've gained a fucked voight.
- 28:19Speaker 1: Did she use that exact phrase or no?
- 28:22Speaker 2: Yes, I've gained a lot of weight. And I don't
- 28:26Speaker 2: like how I look anymore when I look in the mirror.
- 28:29Speaker 2: My clothes don't fit right. I don't like the way
- 28:31Speaker 2: that they fit, and I don't like the way that
- 28:33Speaker 2: I feel. So I'm gonna get my shit together and
- 28:36Speaker 2: I'm gonna write on my chalkboard my schedule of all
- 28:39Speaker 2: of the exercises that I need to do, and I'm
- 28:41Speaker 2: gonna start eating healthier again, because you know, I fell
- 28:45Speaker 2: off the wagon and I became a drunk and I
- 28:47Speaker 2: ate too much sugar and too many doritos. So I'm
- 28:50Speaker 2: gonna go back to my healthy lifestyle, and you know what,
- 28:53Speaker 2: I'm gonna start juicing again.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Right.
- 28:58Speaker 2: So this brings us back to the beginning of the
- 29:00Speaker 2: episode What a Dink, when Barry took the juicer because
- 29:04Speaker 2: Ken gave it to him in their hoarder house, and
- 29:07Speaker 2: so now Kim is asking Ken, where's my juicer? And
- 29:11Speaker 2: Ken's like, oh, I give it him Berry. Barry come
- 29:15Speaker 2: over earlier today and he said he wanted all I
- 29:18Speaker 2: gave him the juicer if that was that away, And
- 29:22Speaker 2: then Kim gets mad at Barry, not at Ken for
- 29:26Speaker 2: giving the juicer away, but she gets mad at Barry
- 29:29Speaker 2: and she's like, oh, well, now I'm gonna have to
- 29:30Speaker 2: call him because that's my juicer, that's mine that I
- 29:35Speaker 2: bought with Barry's money. That's my shoeser, right, and that's.
- 29:40Speaker 1: It was that the whole episode. Well, no, that's the scene.
- 29:45Speaker 1: The scene, okay, And so she did have kettlebells.
- 29:47Speaker 2: Yes, there was jumping. There was a yoga mat and
- 29:50Speaker 2: a trampoline.
- 29:51Speaker 1: She's acknowledging. Oh, I said, I wasn't gonna talk, but
- 29:53Speaker 1: she's acknowledging that she's let herself go. She does not
- 29:57Speaker 1: feel good in her body. And look, I think a
- 29:58Speaker 1: lot of us can really really to that. I certainly can, yeah,
- 30:02Speaker 1: And so I hope that she does well because I
- 30:04Speaker 1: do really think that when you feel good in your
- 30:07Speaker 1: physical form, it affects absolutely every area of your life
- 30:10Speaker 1: and we all deserve that sense of well being interest.
- 30:14Speaker 2: And that was kind of my feeling of this scene.
- 30:16Speaker 2: I was of two minds. There are two wolves in
- 30:18Speaker 2: me where I'm looking at Kim, and I'm like, you know,
- 30:21Speaker 2: if you were any other person, I'd probably feel bad
- 30:23Speaker 2: for you, and I would relate to you, and I
- 30:24Speaker 2: feel compassionate root for you. Yes, and I you know,
- 30:28Speaker 2: I do. I think that everybody should want to get healthy.
- 30:30Speaker 2: If they want that, that's great, and I do advocate
- 30:33Speaker 2: for that. But with it being Kim fucking Plath and
- 30:36Speaker 2: my girl, you did it to yourself and also maybe realize, oh,
- 30:41Speaker 2: maybe I'm not happy with the trajectory of my life.
- 30:45Speaker 2: And she actually did say did something about this. I
- 30:48Speaker 2: think it was to Isaac where she was talking about like,
- 30:51Speaker 2: you know, you get it into your head that you
- 30:53Speaker 2: think the grass will be greener on the other side,
- 30:55Speaker 2: and then you get to the other side and you realize, oh,
- 30:57Speaker 2: the grass ain't greener over here. And I was like,
- 31:00Speaker 2: are you referencing yourself.
- 31:01Speaker 1: I wondered. She also said something like, this is the
- 31:04Speaker 1: body that I have for the rest of my life.
- 31:06Speaker 1: I'm going to have to live in it, and I
- 31:08Speaker 1: want to be happy in it. Yikes, And I thought, oh,
- 31:10Speaker 1: that's a really insightful comment to make Kim, So I'm shocked.
- 31:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I am shocked too. We'll see how much how
- 31:18Speaker 2: she takes this seriously, or if she takes it seriously.
- 31:20Speaker 1: She's a social media Instagram or something. I'd love to
- 31:25Speaker 1: track her weight last journey. I would you were terrible,
- 31:31Speaker 1: I know I would.
- 31:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm sure you would. And then we have Ethan
- 31:35Speaker 2: in his old man car in Wisconsin. Apparently he drove
- 31:39Speaker 2: it all the way up there in one night, and
- 31:42Speaker 2: he's in Wisconsin. He is literally driving around Teagan's neighborhood
- 31:47Speaker 2: where she lives, where she frequents. He goes and stops
- 31:50Speaker 2: at a park right next to her house or something,
- 31:52Speaker 2: and he's telling the producers, Yeah, I'm up here because
- 31:55Speaker 2: I'm looking for places. I'm trying to secure a place
- 31:57Speaker 2: by January, which is like in a month or two
- 32:00Speaker 2: or something. And he's like, I'm not telling Tagan. I'm
- 32:02Speaker 2: not telling anybody. I'm not even telling my family that
- 32:04Speaker 2: I'm moving here. I'm just gonna wait until I have
- 32:07Speaker 2: a place and I'm already living up here, and then
- 32:10Speaker 2: I'll tell everybody.
- 32:11Speaker 1: That's kind of weird. Yeah, it's a little dysfunctional in
- 32:15Speaker 1: terms of committed relationships. We don't normally handle it that
- 32:18Speaker 1: way new but this just underlines or underscores the fact
- 32:22Speaker 1: that he did. He never had a demonstration of what
- 32:26Speaker 1: a normal relationship would look like. And he even said
- 32:29Speaker 1: something like that when he was driving up to Wisconsin.
- 32:31Speaker 1: He's like, you know, I'm I look back at my life.
- 32:33Speaker 1: There's a lot that I really like about the way
- 32:35Speaker 1: that I was raised, But when it comes to relationships,
- 32:39Speaker 1: I really wish we had learned a few different things
- 32:42Speaker 1: or a few different lessons.
- 32:43Speaker 2: Yeah, And it was actually a little insightful for Ethan
- 32:46Speaker 2: Plath because he had said something like, you know, my
- 32:50Speaker 2: parents were very against dating and very against, like us,
- 32:55Speaker 2: experimenting with different relationships and stuff like that. But I
- 32:58Speaker 2: feel like it would have really helped us learn how
- 33:01Speaker 2: to iron all the kinks out before we you know,
- 33:04Speaker 2: you know, get jumped into these long term relationships or
- 33:07Speaker 2: these marriages or whatever, and then we end up divorced
- 33:11Speaker 2: or end up in these horrible breakups or in these
- 33:13Speaker 2: toxic situations. So I thought that was kind of interesting
- 33:15Speaker 2: that he articulated that because nobody else is. And I
- 33:19Speaker 2: think it's true. I think Kim and Barry didn't teach
- 33:21Speaker 2: them how to really like vet anybody or experiment with
- 33:26Speaker 2: their partners or anything. They just told them, yeah, if
- 33:28Speaker 2: you feel a little tinkly in your pep, you should
- 33:31Speaker 2: get married.
- 33:33Speaker 1: Well. I think Ethan has actually been trying to say
- 33:35Speaker 1: this over the past few seasons, and when he first
- 33:37Speaker 1: started talking about it, he was very angry, particularly at Kim,
- 33:41Speaker 1: for the things that she taught Ethan and that she
- 33:45Speaker 1: required of both Ethan and Olivia in order for them
- 33:47Speaker 1: to be together. Yeah, but now it seems like he's
- 33:50Speaker 1: worked through a lot of that but still has some regrets.
- 33:52Speaker 2: Yes, and he does kind of reference. He doesn't really
- 33:55Speaker 2: like say it outright, but he kind of references like
- 33:58Speaker 2: Isaac and Micah, like all these break up and stuff
- 34:00Speaker 2: that everybody's going through, Like it would have been easier
- 34:03Speaker 2: for them to deal with this kind of stuff if
- 34:06Speaker 2: they had had more freedom in their dating life in general.
- 34:10Speaker 2: And so then he's in Wisconsin kind of stalking teak
- 34:14Speaker 2: in a little bit, and he says that in order
- 34:17Speaker 2: to show his commitment to her, he's going to just
- 34:21Speaker 2: find a place and live like right next to her,
- 34:24Speaker 2: and then he's going to tell her, Hey, I have
- 34:25Speaker 2: an apartment here. I love you.
- 34:28Speaker 1: Hopefully she's not dating back with her baby daddy, Yeah, yeah, because.
- 34:32Speaker 2: What if she is. I know, what if he meets
- 34:34Speaker 2: up with her and she's like, oh, I already have
- 34:36Speaker 2: a boyfriend. Yeah, because she's a bombshell.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Yes, but I think this is all just manufactured drama.
- 34:41Speaker 1: It's got to be right, and it's got I think so, yes.
- 34:44Speaker 2: And I'm just over it at this point. And then
- 34:47Speaker 2: we have the producer at the very end of the episode,
- 34:50Speaker 2: because they're driving around the town and they're talking about
- 34:54Speaker 2: his old man car and they're saying it's very recognizable,
- 34:57Speaker 2: Like if Teagan's driving around, is she gonna know you're here?
- 35:00Speaker 2: And then sure enough Ethan spots her driving on the
- 35:03Speaker 2: opposite side of the road and he notices her. So
- 35:07Speaker 2: she's gonna notice him, and I think we're gonna have
- 35:09Speaker 2: a FaceTime.
- 35:10Speaker 1: Call with her at some point.
- 35:14Speaker 2: So then we get to the preview. We have plaith
- 35:16Speaker 2: Daddy Barry at a workout class and apparently all the
- 35:20Speaker 2: wine moms there are just fawning over him.
- 35:22Speaker 1: We saw that in the season preview.
- 35:24Speaker 2: We did. Then we have Ethan calling Teagan. We also
- 35:28Speaker 2: saw that in the season preview, and she's gonna be like,
- 35:30Speaker 2: oh my god, why are you here? And then we
- 35:33Speaker 2: have Isaac asking Kaylin.
- 35:35Speaker 1: Will you take me back?
- 35:36Speaker 2: Will you give me another chance?
- 35:38Speaker 1: I know who I am. I don't give second chances.
- 35:41Speaker 1: We saw that in the season preview.
- 35:42Speaker 2: And she does give a second chance. I know so.
- 35:45Speaker 1: But like everything we're watching, we've already seen in the
- 35:48Speaker 1: season preview. I think we get the whole season. I
- 35:51Speaker 1: think we know what's going to happen through this entire thing.
- 35:54Speaker 1: I don't think anything new and interesting is gonna happen.
- 35:57Speaker 2: There's gotta be some kind of curveball that they're gonna
- 35:59Speaker 2: throw us.
- 36:00Speaker 1: I don't think there's going to be well.
- 36:01Speaker 2: I mean, that's what I'm saying. They should have a
- 36:04Speaker 2: curveball or something to keep us watching, because otherwise, why
- 36:08Speaker 2: are we watching?
- 36:08Speaker 1: Where would it come from? Maybe Lydia and Zach. Maybe
- 36:12Speaker 1: maybe there's a gay porn incident.
- 36:15Speaker 2: I texted, that's the only thing.
- 36:18Speaker 1: I don't save this prayers up for gay porn. That
- 36:21Speaker 1: would save the show, that would save the season. But
- 36:23Speaker 1: like maybe Lydia and Zach have some issues, it's not
- 36:28Speaker 1: going to be in a relationship that Barry has via dating.
- 36:32Speaker 1: I doubt it's going to be the sanitized version of
- 36:35Speaker 1: a love match with Ethan and Teaken. Micah's not on
- 36:39Speaker 1: the show. Micah bounced back to Florida. He's hanging out
- 36:42Speaker 1: with his male lover and he's living his new life down.
- 36:46Speaker 2: There, and Mariah's in Montana.
- 36:47Speaker 1: Mariah doesn't want any part of this horseshit.
- 36:50Speaker 2: No, why would you?
- 36:51Speaker 1: I know they're going to go to Montana like, so
- 36:53Speaker 1: we saw in the season previews some of that, some
- 36:56Speaker 1: of the family members are going to go there, but
- 36:57Speaker 1: that's I don't think that. I don't think she's dating.
- 37:00Speaker 1: I don't think there's anything interesting. There's no real drama,
- 37:03Speaker 1: there's no actual conflict. There's nobody calling him out on
- 37:07Speaker 1: the duy, no for real or bad parenting or the
- 37:09Speaker 1: parentification of Lydia. There's no Barry taking responsibility for any
- 37:13Speaker 1: of this either.
- 37:14Speaker 2: There's really nothing.
- 37:15Speaker 1: I'm disappointed.
- 37:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm disappointed too. I want it to pick up
- 37:19Speaker 2: because I do love the show and we've covered can
- 37:22Speaker 2: be so good. I mean, oh my god, we've covered
- 37:24Speaker 2: every single season, every single episode. It's all on Patreon
- 37:26Speaker 2: organized if you want it, but it's also on YouTube.
- 37:29Speaker 2: It's just like, we love this show. This family is crazy.
- 37:33Speaker 2: I know that they can. I know they can pull
- 37:36Speaker 2: out something, but I don't know. But the way these
- 37:39Speaker 2: episodes are going, the way they're structured, where we're just
- 37:42Speaker 2: going from like one forced conversation to another to another,
- 37:45Speaker 2: I'm just like, ooh, yeah, I don't like it.
- 37:48Speaker 1: It's Giving season six.
- 37:50Speaker 2: Yeah, it is Giving Seasons.
- 37:51Speaker 1: Giving season six.
- 37:52Speaker 2: Unfortunately, unless Olivia comes back with her vagina chested hair boyfriend.
- 37:57Speaker 1: I hate to say that. I think maybe we need her,
- 38:01Speaker 1: Maybe we need Veronica and her various mental illnesses when
- 38:05Speaker 1: if she comes back, I think that would be great
- 38:07Speaker 1: for the show. Allegedly, by the way, mental illnesses. I
- 38:10Speaker 1: have no idea, like we need some sort of a
- 38:13Speaker 1: disrupting force to agitate these lobotomized Plaths in order for
- 38:19Speaker 1: there to be some actual conflict I can get behind. Otherwise,
- 38:22Speaker 1: I don't why what are we doing here?
- 38:25Speaker 2: Well? And it's so weird to me that like all
- 38:27Speaker 2: of the older kids are seemingly like on Kim's side now,
- 38:31Speaker 2: like they're all just like forgiving her and they're just like, oh,
- 38:33Speaker 2: I love my mom.
- 38:34Speaker 1: She paying them off? I don't is she giving them money?
- 38:37Speaker 2: It just seems very weird because we had several seasons
- 38:41Speaker 2: where we had multiple Plath kids that were not happy
- 38:44Speaker 2: with Kim or Barry. So it's just the weird turn
- 38:48Speaker 2: of pays, like now we have all of them just
- 38:50Speaker 2: like a lily move. Because it's a job, I guess,
- 38:53Speaker 2: but you could still make it your job.
- 38:55Speaker 1: It would be better as a job, it'd be way better.
- 38:57Speaker 2: You probably make more money if you came for Kim
- 38:59Speaker 2: if you were like, my mom's a fucking drunk gas bitch.
- 39:02Speaker 1: And I hate the feeling that Kim Plath has the
- 39:05Speaker 1: kind of power and control overproduction that somebody like Cody
- 39:09Speaker 1: Brown does yeah have with production for Sister Wives, like
- 39:13Speaker 1: they can't say certain things, or he's orchestrating the scenes
- 39:16Speaker 1: and they're just kind of doing what Cody wants to do.
- 39:19Speaker 1: Like it kind of feels that that's what Kim's doing. Yep,
- 39:22Speaker 1: with the family and all of these stupid saccharin storylines.
- 39:26Speaker 1: This is just not the way to go. I just
- 39:28Speaker 1: don't know how to impress deeply enough on production or
- 39:32Speaker 1: on TLC. Like this is just terrible for the actual franchise.
- 39:36Speaker 1: You were better in twenty twelve, twenty thirteen, twenty fourteen.
- 39:39Speaker 1: You were better with the Gypsy Sisters. You were better
- 39:43Speaker 1: with Little Women of La back in the day, with
- 39:45Speaker 1: actual real wealth, sort of real drama, real fights, real arguments.
- 39:49Speaker 1: That's not what this is.
- 39:51Speaker 2: Nope, this is fake bull shot.
- 39:53Speaker 1: We were gonna get some of that.
- 39:54Speaker 2: And I'm kind of bummed because if this is the
- 39:56Speaker 2: trajectory of the show, it's like just another one bites
- 39:59Speaker 2: the dust. Yeah, just turns into bullshit.
- 40:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not gonna watch it next season. No, I'm
- 40:05Speaker 1: not going to watch it next season if you keep
- 40:06Speaker 1: this up. And my sense, my psychic raccoon sense, is
- 40:10Speaker 1: that this whole season is going to be this and
- 40:12Speaker 1: we're gonna continue to cover it. I'll be a little
- 40:15Speaker 1: upset about it, me too, but we'll finish it out.
- 40:17Speaker 1: But I just feel like this is the way it's going.
- 40:20Speaker 2: I mean, what's your prediction for the season finale? Because
- 40:24Speaker 2: last year we had like a crazy season finale with
- 40:26Speaker 2: the wedding and everything and the big old fight and
- 40:29Speaker 2: Micah's nose and then breaking up with Veronica. Like, we
- 40:33Speaker 2: had such a crazy end to last season. What do
- 40:35Speaker 2: you think the season finale is going to be for this.
- 40:37Speaker 1: I couldn't even say. Maybe pounds Kim loses one hundred pounds,
- 40:42Speaker 1: who cares? No, Like, maybe Ethan and Teagan have a
- 40:46Speaker 1: come to Jesus moment and they have to make a decision,
- 40:49Speaker 1: but I still don't care.
- 40:50Speaker 2: Yeah, that's boring.
- 40:51Speaker 1: So maybe this is the final season of the plasts.
- 40:54Speaker 1: Maybe this is the season where they just wrap it
- 40:56Speaker 1: up and oh my god, Ethan has Teagan and Mariah's
- 41:00Speaker 1: Montana and MICA's in Florida, and everybody's situated and okay,
- 41:05Speaker 1: and so thus ends the franchise. I could see that, Yame,
- 41:09Speaker 1: I could see it too.
- 41:10Speaker 2: That would be better than dragging it out for a
- 41:12Speaker 2: couple more seasons of just mediocre terrible contente. It'd be
- 41:17Speaker 2: better to just end it now on a high ish.
- 41:20Speaker 1: And so my commitment going forward is like, I'm going
- 41:23Speaker 1: to recap this with enthusiasm.
- 41:25Speaker 2: Me too.
- 41:25Speaker 1: I'll try to and you know, look at what they're
- 41:27Speaker 1: giving us and comment on it, laugh about it, yes,
- 41:31Speaker 1: But like I'm going to try and keep my bad attitude,
- 41:34Speaker 1: fat shaming and jadedness out of the conversation. But like, yeah,
- 41:38Speaker 1: between you and me, bait, yeah, I'm like not super
- 41:41Speaker 1: hopeful about platfo me neither.
- 41:43Speaker 2: Unfortunately, let us know your guys's thoughts. I know some
- 41:46Speaker 2: people on Reddit are saying that they're tapping out already,
- 41:48Speaker 2: like they're not watching the season anymore because it's boring.
- 41:51Speaker 2: But those are people on Reddit. What do you raccoons
- 41:54Speaker 2: think about this season? Are you guys just as bored
- 41:56Speaker 2: as us? Are you laughing with us? Are you upset
- 42:00Speaker 2: because d is a big fat shamer.
- 42:02Speaker 1: I'm big and fat and I'm a fat shamer.
- 42:04Speaker 2: Let us know.
- 42:06Speaker 1: Wow, yes, please do let me know, And I apologize
- 42:09Speaker 1: if I offended anybody, truly, and that's never my intention.
- 42:12Speaker 1: I know that I do that, and I'm going to
- 42:13Speaker 1: probably continue to do that to some degree, but like,
- 42:15Speaker 1: it's not my intention.
- 42:16Speaker 2: But also, this is a fucking podcast, and if you're offended,
- 42:19Speaker 2: you don't have to listen to it.
- 42:20Speaker 1: I know, but I don't want to hurt people's.
- 42:21Speaker 2: No, but like you don't have to listen.
- 42:23Speaker 1: I detest Kim Plath.
- 42:24Speaker 2: I mean, also, the world is full of opinions that
- 42:27Speaker 2: you're not gonna like, So grow a thick skin. Oh wow,
- 42:31Speaker 2: that's what I'm gonna say.
- 42:32Speaker 1: To Okay, And on that note, is there anything else
- 42:34Speaker 1: that we should be saying to these beautiful raccoons before
- 42:37Speaker 1: we get a bond at it here? Beatrice?
- 42:39Speaker 2: If you got something nice to say about us, please
- 42:41Speaker 2: go to your favorite podcast.
- 42:42Speaker 1: But they are now going to go out of their way.
- 42:44Speaker 1: I don't care to say something negative about it.
- 42:47Speaker 2: Every single time we recap Plath film, every time, every season,
- 42:53Speaker 2: single fucking time, people come out of the woodwork and
- 42:56Speaker 2: they're like, oh.
- 42:56Speaker 1: My god, these women are so mede start to life.
- 43:02Speaker 2: It's so stupid. We are just dumb people on.
- 43:05Speaker 1: The inner opportunity haters.
- 43:07Speaker 2: Oh my god. Seriously, everybody can get it on this
- 43:09Speaker 2: podcast doesn't matter who you are. So anyway, if you
- 43:12Speaker 2: love us and you want.
- 43:14Speaker 1: To support us, apparently we could use the help.
- 43:16Speaker 2: It'd be really great if you could go to your
- 43:18Speaker 2: favorite podcast platform and leave us a five star review.
- 43:20Speaker 2: It costs you nothing, it's nice. And if you don't like.
- 43:24Speaker 1: Us, wow, we gotta go. And those concludes our conversates
- 43:31Speaker 1: the own. Now we are going to be back next
- 43:33Speaker 1: week to continue to recap. I think we're gonna on
- 43:36Speaker 1: the final episode of Sister White's season eight. Yeah, so
- 43:39Speaker 1: we're gonna come back for that. Make sure to join
- 43:41Speaker 1: us until then. Please do not forget that we have
- 43:44Speaker 1: nothing but love for you and pease.
- 43:47Speaker 2: How nighte bye guys,
