Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Theater of the Mindset. Oh, theater. Theater of
- 0:02Speaker 2: the Mindset. Theater of the Mindset. Previously on Camp Do Anything, Eleanor investigated the connections between Azriel, the demon rot scare, and Goody Fatesbane. Pat and Eleanor learned that Legs, I mean, Gibbons wasn't summoning the storm to camp, but trying to divert it away. Pat spent his time working on his sword to align his future as a strong knight.
- 0:32Speaking of knight, Pat and Mala worked together to host a fight night. Wait. That can't be right. Mala swore his second oath and followed up this noble moment with an out of character move. He snuck into the bucket storage and created some bad luck, and bad luck he did fine by starting a fire and uncovering a word eating monster set loose in the bucket.
- 0:53Bunkie worked with Valentina to investigate the spirit tree, learning that the tree's energy was fully sequestered in the splinter. He then communed with the dead spirits of the Savor Chateau. Finally, the team head to the well find and confront Goody Facefame. Breaking into the protected hideaway and crawling deep into the crevice, the party found a golden statue and are confronted not by Goody, but by Tamara? In the silhouette above you framed against the starlight, you can see Tamara's shock pink hair, her eyes entirely darkened, The purple flames drying on her face and suddenly she becomes darkness.
- 1:49Entirely her silhouette, one shade of black, and like ink begins to spill down the edges of the well around you.
- 1:59Speaker 3: No. No. No. No. No.
- 2:01Eleanor backs up to try and cover where the rest of them had gone through.
- 2:08Speaker 2: As the black ink comes down the side of this well, stones begin to rotate and shape and shift underneath you. The water begins to move and ripple as the rocks that you stand on, Elinor, begin to shift inside the cave. The small stalactites and stalagmites begin to resemble teeth. As the stone shifts and moves, the ink forms a pool inside the cave, rises up, and those of you inside the cave for the first time see this Tamra wearing black metal armor, a cape of purple, deep purple darkness, her eyes that deep deep night color, and she says, I'm so sorry that this has to be done. I don't have a choice.
- 3:22Roll initiative.
- 3:24Speaker 3: And she's no longer in my space?
- 3:26Speaker 2: She's now in the room.
- 3:28Speaker 3: So now, I don't know what's... I don't see her?
- 3:30Speaker 2: You do not see her. Okay. You see the cave begin to move and shift around you. You all see that. Okay.
- 3:39Speaker 4: I'm a firm believer in the light helps your dice because I just got a nat 20.
- 3:43Speaker 5: Love... Incredible.
- 3:44Speaker 2: What's your total initiative then? 20. Oh, okay.
- 3:51Speaker 6: Bunky? 10.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Evandria?
- 3:55Speaker 7: 22.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Pat? Eight. Eleanor? 17. Evandria, you were up first.
- 4:06Speaker 7: Tamara?
- 4:09Speaker 2: Not now, Evandria. Not now.
- 4:12Speaker 7: Okay. No. What is going on? And she starts running forward.
- 4:17Speaker 2: She says, stop, stay where you are, and puts her hand out and you feel a push against you. Not now.
- 4:28Speaker 7: I hesitate, but I slowly start to continue pushing forward.
- 4:34Speaker 2: She draws her sword. Please, not now.
- 4:41Speaker 7: I don't know what you mean by not now. Not... Right now seems like kind of the time as she continues to walk forward.
- 4:51Speaker 2: She holds out her sword when you get within 10... If you try to get within 10 feet of you, of her.
- 4:57Speaker 7: I continue to approach. I don't understand. Did you make some type of trade? Was this for some type of stronger magic? Is this something that you need?
- 5:14We we we can we can help you.
- 5:17Speaker 2: I have to do this. I have to do I have to do this.
- 5:22Speaker 7: I don't I don't understand what this is. As she continues to walk forward.
- 5:31Speaker 2: You will have to walk into
- 5:35Speaker 7: approach her sword, I use my hand at the very end of it, and just try and push it to the side as I continue to walk forward.
- 5:44Speaker 2: She will she will you will incur an attack of opportunity if you do not do something to defend yourself.
- 5:51Speaker 7: Then I will incur an attack of opportunity.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Great. She'll use her reaction to attack of opportunity. Does a 22 beat your AC?
- 5:59Speaker 7: Yes.
- 6:03Speaker 2: She swipes with her shadow sword and deals six... No. 11 slashing damage.
- 6:14Speaker 7: Evandria drops, not only from the massive amount of pain that she's now feeling. Where... How... What is the slash?
- 6:26Speaker 2: It... She will try to do as shallow of a cut as she can, but she has to keep you back. So she will go straight from shoulder to your side. Just a cross body cut.
- 6:44Speaker 7: Yeah. So she immediately drops and with, like, tears immediately start streaming, not only from, like, the pain, which usually... She's not a crier, but this is mostly just, like, out of sheer shock that somebody that she has started to love could do something out of the blue like this. And she looks up at Tamara and she says, I don't understand what's going on.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Azriel owes her. A debt must be paid.
- 7:24Speaker 7: That's all that she does with her turn.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Okay. Molly, you're up. Mala will
- 7:29Speaker 4: see, Evandria get cut and use... I will use Adrenaline Rush to, like, basically speed myself up, sprint across the room, leap over Evandria in like a flying kick motion to knock Tamara back and then swing at her with my long sword. Does a 21 hit? Sure does. Instant divine smite.
- 7:51Instant divine smite. Does this get any bonus with her being in her shadowy form?
- 7:57Speaker 2: She does not have any vulnerabilities. She's a fiend. Does that...
- 8:02Speaker 4: So I get
- 8:03Speaker 2: get three... Yes. So
- 8:05Speaker 4: I'll do slashing damage is six, and then for radiant, it is 17. So 23 total.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Thank you. 23 damage.
- 8:15Speaker 4: And then I will like position myself guarding Evandria's body, or you're not dead, but guarding Evandria. Alright. It is Tamara's turn.
- 8:25Speaker 2: She is going to use her movement to... She says, I have to pay back Azriel's debt to Goody. I don't have a choice. Goody helped Azriel, healed Azriel after the fight. Azriel owes Goody.
- 8:45I'm just a pawn. Once I do this, maybe we can be free. But right now, I have to pay goody back for Azriel. And the darkness from her cape, from the ends of her fingers shoots out and I need everyone in this room, so anyone that's not Eleanor, to make a constitution saving throw.
- 9:17Speaker 4: 17. Mala got a 16. 19. 12.
- 9:23Speaker 2: You have to beat a 17. Full damage is 16. Half damage is eight. Those who fail the saving throw are blinded for two rounds. Those who succeed are frightened for two rounds.
- 9:42If you... Blinded means you attack with disadvantage. Frightened means you cannot move towards the creature, and you attack with disadvantage. Only that creature though.
- 9:54Speaker 5: To make a save at the end or anything?
- 9:55Speaker 2: It's just two rounds, and then it's automatically over.
- 9:59Speaker 6: Bunk Bunky's globe armor absorbed a portion of the hit, but he still took a little bit from from his save.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Vera Eleanor, followed by Bunky.
- 10:12Speaker 3: I have a few questions. You said it's difficult for me to get through the path?
- 10:19Speaker 2: Yeah. Difficult train, but it still would just take one movement.
- 10:23Speaker 3: Okay.
- 10:25Speaker 2: But only you can go through at once, whereas maybe Bunky and Evandria can both go at the same time. It's a you only pathway when you're in Okay. That
- 10:34Speaker 3: And then, what can I see if I, like, look through it?
- 10:42Speaker 2: You can look through it. I mean, it's still like... It's a two and a half foot tall pathway. So it's pretty sizable for any...
- 10:48Speaker 3: Do I have a clear shot of her?
- 10:50Speaker 2: Yeah. You can take a clear shot.
- 10:52Speaker 3: Eleanor draws her bow and shoots at Tamara. Eleanor draws her long bow quickly and has just seen what's happened to everybody and is just shaking so bad, and aiming through, and just misses completely. She rolled a three.
- 11:11Speaker 2: The arrow skitters across the cave, and you see two large rocks react to the arrow hitting it and just start crushing and almost like chewing on that arrow. This cave is alive.
- 11:30Speaker 3: So I don't wanna go through that?
- 11:32Speaker 2: The whole... You see even the stones around you in the well rotating and shifting
- 11:38Speaker 3: Okay.
- 11:38Speaker 2: With intention.
- 11:39Speaker 3: Alright. As a bonus action, I wanna use steady aim and give myself advantage on my next attack roll, as long as I don't move. That can be true.
- 11:52Speaker 6: Great. Bunky, you're up. Can you remind me frightened means what specifically?
- 11:58Speaker 2: Frightened means you have disadvantage on ability checks and attack rolls while the source of the fear is within line of sight, and you can't willingly move closer to the source of the fear.
- 12:09Speaker 6: Bunky is gonna call out, what is this? What is it that you need to do?
- 12:14Speaker 2: I need to take the luck back to Goody and stop all of you from ruining this. Bunky is
- 12:23Speaker 6: gonna go ahead and cast a fog cloud to to try and hide him and his friends.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Go ahead and describe that.
- 12:33Speaker 6: Bunkie pulls out a stick of hot glue from his pouch and melts it into his hands before puffing it into smoke to create a cloud of fog to obscure him and his friends from Tamra.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Does that give you three quarters cover?
- 12:54Speaker 6: It says the fear sphere is heavily obscured.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Heavily obscured means that I'm also blinded effectively. Cool. So I'll disadvantage on attacking you all as well. What else? Anything else you
- 13:08Speaker 6: wanna do? That's... Bunkie doesn't have any bonus action, so so that's gonna be it. Other than... What what does taking the luck back look like?
- 13:19Speaker 2: Does it matter? Does it matter?
- 13:22Speaker 6: If you have to kill us, it matters.
- 13:24Speaker 2: I have to stop you and if you're trying to take it, that means I have to stop you.
- 13:29Speaker 6: We don't want the luck. What are you here for? To stop Goody?
- 13:34Speaker 2: Pat, you're up.
- 13:36Speaker 4: Oh, Goody. Pat's frightened. Can't do... Can't see nothing, can't do not... Do much.
- 13:44He wants to like... How far would I be from Evandria?
- 13:48Speaker 5: Kind of reachable?
- 13:50Speaker 8: Oh, yeah. I can't
- 13:50Speaker 5: go towards. That's my question.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Yeah. That's why
- 13:53Speaker 5: you can reach her.
- 13:54Speaker 4: Pat is going to crawl towards of Andrea and grab
- 13:57Speaker 5: a leg and start pulling her away.
- 13:59Speaker 7: Is fading in and out of consciousness.
- 14:01Speaker 4: Yeah. Like, is going to start pulling away. Currently. Can't really do much about it, but it's just going to be
- 14:06Speaker 5: like, it's not her choice, it's not her call, this is
- 14:10Speaker 4: a nightmare, this sucks. And
- 14:12Speaker 5: then pull out a crossbow and ready an action for anything that
- 14:16Speaker 4: comes towards of Andrea and him. Okay.
- 14:19Speaker 7: Do I get an attack of opportunity?
- 14:23Speaker 2: On who?
- 14:24Speaker 3: On Pat.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Do do... He did not leave your space. He did not...
- 14:28Speaker 5: We're in
- 14:29Speaker 4: the same space still.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Yeah. You did not... He did not leave your Yeah.
- 14:32Speaker 7: I just wanted to like like kick him off of pulling me farther away. I don't wanna get any farther, man.
- 14:38Speaker 4: You wanna strength check each other?
- 14:40Speaker 2: Yeah. You can do that.
- 14:41Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Okay. You can resist the pull. Yeah.
- 14:45Speaker 7: 16. Damn it. That adds up.
- 14:52Speaker 2: Alright. In the well outside, you see some of the stones jut out and they are going to attack you, Eleanor. I rolled double force. Did 10 beat your AC? No.
- 15:07Alright. That'll attack you two more times. Don't like that. 13, does that beat your AC?
- 15:15Speaker 4: No. It's because I put my hands on them. All four
- 15:19Speaker 2: attacks as this cave around you shifts and moves and is trying to crush you inside of the well. Tap dancing. You
- 15:29Speaker 3: guys, don't get near the walls.
- 15:32Speaker 7: So this... There is a statue in here still. Yes?
- 15:36Speaker 2: Yes.
- 15:36Speaker 7: Okay. So with everything that she has...
- 15:41Speaker 2: Standing between you and the statue is Tamara.
- 15:46Speaker 7: Okay. With everything that she has...
- 15:48Speaker 2: And Pat. And and Mala. And Mala. Yeah. Sorry.
- 15:52Speaker 7: Pat was just pulling me away. He's not between me.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Correct. I was trying to... Camera.
- 15:57Speaker 4: Oh. And the statue.
- 15:58Speaker 7: Okay. So are you in front of me?
- 15:59Speaker 8: I was trying to get in front of
- 16:00Speaker 7: me. Okay.
- 16:00Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 16:02Speaker 7: There's a lot of boundaries to love. That's all I'll say about that. So with everything that she has left in her, she now kind of like whirling around to try and like see all of you at once is like, it's not her, it's the cave. It's the cave and the statue. It's not her.
- 16:29And she launches herself forward to try and tackle Tamara.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Are you frightened of Tamara?
- 16:34Speaker 7: No. Oh. I took all of that damage.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Oh, great. Yeah. Oh, you're still up.
- 16:39Speaker 7: I am at one health.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Great. Give me a strength check. You are blinded, so you have disadvantage.
- 16:45Speaker 3: Okay.
- 16:48Speaker 2: I rolled a net 20.
- 16:50Speaker 7: Well, so I lose then.
- 16:52Speaker 2: I I I got 25. If you beat a 25.
- 16:54Speaker 7: I do not. I had a 12.
- 16:57Speaker 2: She casually backhands you away and you hit the ground at the bottom of the cave and skid away.
- 17:08Speaker 7: Okay. She, as a bonus action, puts Hunter's Mark on the statue with Via Yanks.
- 17:22Speaker 2: Oh. Yanks flies over and begins inspecting and looking at the statue. It's vibrating. It's vibrating a lot. Like, it's vibrating a lot.
- 17:34Speaker 7: I knew it wasn't her.
- 17:37Speaker 2: I don't know about that. She looks pretty
- 17:39Speaker 7: It's pissed at me being over
- 17:41Speaker 2: not her. She looks pretty bad that I'm over here.
- 17:43Speaker 7: It's not her.
- 17:44Speaker 2: Yeah. He's just like, he's gonna stay on the statue, but he's like putting the statue in between him and Tamra now as she is like glaring at him. Mala, you are up.
- 17:54Speaker 4: Mala's going to up a defensive stance and take the dodge action and just get into Tamra's space. And then he's going to have his hands glow in that fiery white cleansing flame and rub himself ever so slightly to heal himself for 10. Great. And that will be my turn. We love slight rubs.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Tamara is going to use a bonus action teleport over to Pat. And she is going to use her corrupting touch ability. Pat, give me a dexterity saving throw. I believe if you are blinded, you have disadvantage.
- 18:36Speaker 4: You automatically fail if you're blinded.
- 18:38Speaker 5: I'm not blinded. I just afraid. Oh,
- 18:40Speaker 2: thank you.
- 18:41Speaker 5: That's a 12.
- 18:42Speaker 2: That is a fail. You feel her grab your sword. The Herald of Darkness can destroy any wooden, leather, copper, iron, or paper object by touching it. A mundane object is destroyed automatically. A magical item survives only if you can pass the Dexterity saving throw.
- 19:05You all see where her hands touch, there is a sizzle as the only magical item you have. Begins to push against her might as she bends the sword until it snaps in half. We can't have that. And she throws the pieces on the ground, and that's the end of her turn. Eleanor, you are up.
- 19:30Speaker 3: Okay. With a steady aim, I will shoot again. I still have a clear view of her and everything. 21.
- 19:41Speaker 2: That is a hit.
- 19:42Speaker 3: Alright. Eleanor takes a deep breath and she says, alive. She pulls another arrow from her quiver and stares at Tamara and says, alert. She does a little shake, takes another deep breath, says, awake. And then as she draws, she...
- 20:02In her periphery, she sees her friends and she's like enthusiastic and she shoots. And she... The goal here is to take Tamara down, but I'm not wanting to like hit any vital organs.
- 20:18Speaker 4: Yeah. Not lethal Yep. Cool.
- 20:21Speaker 2: Oh, what did you roll? Sorry.
- 20:22Speaker 3: Oh, I'm sorry. Have to roll my damage. I was too excited. Nine damage.
- 20:26Speaker 4: Don't forget your sneak attack.
- 20:28Speaker 2: You do have sneak attack.
- 20:29Speaker 3: Thank you. Good sir. 16 damage.
- 20:32Speaker 2: 16 total? Yeah. Nice.
- 20:38Speaker 6: Bunky. Bunky's gonna crawl over to the remnants of Pat's sword and use cantrip mending to try and put it back together.
- 20:50Speaker 2: Can physically repair a magical item, but it does not restore the magic to said item. So you fix the sword, but it is no longer a plus one sword.
- 21:02Speaker 6: Still better to have a sword than no sword.
- 21:05Speaker 5: Been to...
- 21:06Speaker 2: This also hot glued together?
- 21:09Speaker 4: You're like trying
- 21:10Speaker 2: to look.
- 21:10Speaker 7: No. He's got a soldering.
- 21:13Speaker 6: Bunky crawls over to where the pieces of Pat's sword lie on the ground and pulls a pipe cleaner out of his pouch and wraps it around the shards to tie them together and casts mending and the pipe cleaner suffuses itself into the sword to hold it back together in one piece again.
- 21:35Speaker 2: Your sword is now put together in one piece, in the middle of the sword is just a strip of hot pink. Hot glue gold. So we
- 21:45Speaker 8: get a Japanese...
- 21:46Speaker 4: Yeah. It's the
- 21:47Speaker 2: the the mending. Yeah. But it is not currently a plus one sword anymore. Then
- 21:53Speaker 6: for Bunky's movement, he's gonna drag the sword back to Pat.
- 21:56Speaker 4: Great. Pat, you're up. She's right in front of me, right? Yeah. Like, very close?
- 22:03Speaker 2: Yeah. Close.
- 22:04Speaker 5: I want to grab her hands, maybe that's a grapple. Okay. I want to like, grab her by the wrist or the hands, I'll have disadvantage.
- 22:12Speaker 2: If you have a purpose of like if you have a purpose of like actually restraining her, yeah. But if your goal is just to grab her hands, you can just grab her hands. I'm going to break
- 22:24Speaker 5: as many fingers and hands as
- 22:26Speaker 2: I can. Oh, yeah. That's definitely gonna be a
- 22:28Speaker 8: good one. And I'm having
- 22:30Speaker 5: to grapple in an action search
- 22:31Speaker 2: Yeah. Do the damage or whatever.
- 22:33Speaker 5: Whatever you wanna go for it. It's a
- 22:36Speaker 4: 15 on the lowest.
- 22:38Speaker 2: And I think I'm just flat. I got a 16.
- 22:44Speaker 5: Dang. Okay. I'm gonna actually shoot and try it again.
- 22:47Speaker 2: Okay.
- 22:52Speaker 4: 13 on the lowest. 10. So I at least have her hands.
- 22:58Speaker 2: She is trying her best. Get off me.
- 23:01Speaker 5: I worked really fucking hard on that sword. I know this isn't like your choice, but no bueno.
- 23:06Speaker 2: I'm going to take the statue, I'm going to stop you all, and this is going to be how it goes. Get off me. We'll see. The well outside is going to again try to chomp chomp on Eleanor. Does a 15 and an 18 beat your AC?
- 23:24Yes. Both? Yes. The outsides of the cave jet in, pummeling you, dealing 15 bludgeoning damage.
- 23:35Speaker 3: Still up.
- 23:36Speaker 2: You are now adhered to the side of the cave. You are grappled. You need to escape on your turn, otherwise, you have disadvantage to try and attack anything that's not the cave. Evandria. Oh, wait.
- 23:54That was just two attacks. I'll attack Mala. Attacks.
- 24:00Speaker 4: I'm in the room.
- 24:02Speaker 2: It's the whole cave. Oh, me.
- 24:04Speaker 7: The cave is evil.
- 24:06Speaker 2: She's a mimic. Oh. It's a crit. Does a 13 be your a c?
- 24:11Speaker 4: Absolutely fucking not.
- 24:12Speaker 2: The other one's less. There we go. Inside, more of this mindless cave mimic begins to try and batter you, but your armor keeps it at bay. Evandria, go ahead.
- 24:26Speaker 7: She said... Turns to Tamara and says, well, if the statue is what you want, then come and get it. And she has Yanks bring the statue to her as she takes off
- 24:40Speaker 2: out of the room. Using your...
- 24:43Speaker 7: Mage hand.
- 24:44Speaker 2: Mage hand?
- 24:45Speaker 7: So Yanks can manifest as a mage hand, as an action, and can do things within 30 feet, like locate an object.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Okay. You see... I think it's yanks and then a bunch of the shadow formed pixies all pick up the statue. And what did you... Where did you wanna take it?
- 25:05Speaker 7: Out of the cave.
- 25:08Speaker 2: They fly towards the cave entrance. I think it gets into that, like, area, and that's as far as it can go. That's, like, 30 feet. And so it is well on its way out. And where are you where are you going?
- 25:22Speaker 7: I said come and get it.
- 25:24Speaker 2: Okay. So I'm heading out. Yeah. Okay. Great.
- 25:27Alright. Mala.
- 25:28Speaker 7: As a bonus action, my celestial revelation can take effect, which I believe that is the... Does extra damage if I hit and then also is how my necrotic shroud occurs.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Okay.
- 25:47Speaker 7: I think that's how that works. Okay. I was trying to look it up, but I couldn't find the page. So I'll take a moment to make sure my turn, but that goes around me. So if anybody gets within 10 feet and they are not allies, they have to make a charisma saving throw or they're frightened.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Okay. Again, you burst into this shadowy version of yourself surrounded by shadow formed pixies.
- 26:21Speaker 4: Not good. Mala. So, Tamara's grappled. Right?
- 26:24Speaker 2: Tamara is grappled.
- 26:25Speaker 4: So that gives me advantage on attack,
- 26:27Speaker 5: but I'm
- 26:27Speaker 4: blind, so I have disadvantage, so it just be straight roll. Yep. That's... Has it been... It's been two rounds.
- 26:31Speaker 2: This will be the end of the second round.
- 26:33Speaker 4: Yeah. Will be the second At
- 26:34Speaker 2: at her turn, it is the end of the second
- 26:38Speaker 4: I'm I'm blind. Can I still like get to her? Like, I scuffled...
- 26:41Speaker 2: This is obscured, so you can definitely get to her.
- 26:44Speaker 4: No, but I'm blinded.
- 26:45Speaker 2: Oh, you're blinded. Like, can I still find? If you roll one, I'm gonna hurt you, But... Sorry, what?
- 26:52Speaker 4: Jesus. Alright. Okay. I'm gonna run over and attack Tamara, trying to cover Evandria's escape. 24.
- 27:04That's a hit. It was a 19. It was not a crit, unfortunately. I'm gonna Divine Smite again. So that is 11 slashing.
- 27:14Oh, and 16 radiant for 27 total damage.
- 27:18Speaker 2: The star fire light clashes with the darkness as she does her best to get up at least her armored gauntlets as Pat's grappling her. She can't get her sword in the way and the blows ring out against the metal armor.
- 27:33Speaker 4: I'll wipe away the black inkiness from my eyes and I can see again.
- 27:37Speaker 2: Yeah. I can fight. No one is blinded anymore.
- 27:39Speaker 4: No one is frightened anymore. Oh, and with that, she has disadvantage on her next attack because I'm gonna use my sap feature from my my weapon. I'm gonna always remember I need to do that.
- 27:49Speaker 3: Say that again? What is that?
- 27:50Speaker 4: I have weapon mastery
- 27:52Speaker 2: Mhmm.
- 27:52Speaker 4: And the long sword weapon mastery is sap, so she has disadvantage on her next attack.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Okay. Yeah. She's going to use embrace darkness, all creatures within five feet of her, which would be you and Pat. She's going to make an attack roll against. She does have disadvantage.
- 28:13Against Mala, I missed. Woo. I mean, woo. Against Pat, I got a 20.
- 28:23Speaker 4: Yeah. It'll hit. Go for it.
- 28:27Speaker 2: You take two necrotic damage and you are paralyzed until the end of your next turn. You deal two damage. Go ahead and give me a constitution saving throw.
- 28:38Speaker 4: It's a 20, not net.
- 28:40Speaker 2: You succeed. You feel the darkness kind of try to constrict around you and paralyze you, but you are able to maintain your grip and resist. Tamara, come on. Eleanor, you're
- 28:52Speaker 4: up. Just take her down, Pat.
- 28:53Speaker 3: What do I roll to get out of this wall?
- 28:57Speaker 2: You need to either make an athletics check or an acrobatics check, and you have to beat 15.
- 29:03Speaker 3: Alright. Eleanor is going to attempt to get away from this wall she just grappled in. 11.
- 29:10Speaker 2: The adhesive that binds you to the wall, the moss and the sticky moisture adheres you to the wall and you cannot escape. Oh, god. You can attack... That was your action, try to escape. Yep.
- 29:29Speaker 3: As a bonus action, I want to use my... As a bonus action, she wants to use her eye for detail. She's going to roll a perception check to see if there's anything around her that she can grab onto or grab to help her get away next time.
- 29:45Speaker 2: Okay.
- 29:46Speaker 4: Nat one.
- 29:48Speaker 2: It's so dark down here with everything shifting and moving. Anything you catch sight of that might be a good handhold shifts and moves and becomes a flat surface ten seconds later. The very cave itself is alive and malicious. Bunky, you're up.
- 30:06Speaker 6: Who's who's looking bad and what kind of damage have you taken?
- 30:13Speaker 4: I'm doing alright.
- 30:17Speaker 3: I'm at one health. I'm at three Oh,
- 30:21Speaker 6: both of us.
- 30:21Speaker 3: Stuck to a wall.
- 30:22Speaker 6: What what kind of damage? Okay. I'm gonna... What kind of damage did you
- 30:25Speaker 2: do?
- 30:26Speaker 3: What was... Can you reach me?
- 30:27Speaker 7: What was the Ice chip. Massive damage that she did?
- 30:31Speaker 2: The, like, explosion?
- 30:34Speaker 5: Caused the blind and perilous.
- 30:36Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Necrotic?
- 30:37Speaker 7: Necrotic? Oh, I'm resistant to that.
- 30:40Speaker 2: Okay. So you would take half of it anyway.
- 30:42Speaker 3: Oh. Okay. And did I take bludgeoning from the wall? Yeah. Okay.
- 30:45Speaker 6: Bunky's gonna make his way through the tunnel to Eleanor and cast resistance on her to prevent further bludgeoning damage, if possible.
- 30:56Speaker 2: Give her resistance to bludgeoning? Yes. K.
- 30:59Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 31:00Speaker 2: Pat, you're up.
- 31:01Speaker 5: Does it look like we've done any damage really to her?
- 31:04Speaker 2: Yeah. K. Yeah. She's... You've definitely done some damage to her.
- 31:08Speaker 4: So Pat shakes off like being frightened of Tamera all of
- 31:12Speaker 5: a sudden, and it feels okay, and is going to try and break as many fingers and joints in her hand hands as possible just to see, hey, if I
- 31:22Speaker 4: can stop some spellcasting, I'll try and It's do a 21 to hit.
- 31:29Speaker 2: Go ahead and roll damage.
- 31:31Speaker 5: I think... It's just an arm strike d six or whatever or d four.
- 31:36Speaker 2: We'll have it be a d four. Yep. The four. Four damage. You will hear a sickening crack as several of the fingers in Tamara's bones break.
- 31:53I'll basically divide that by two, and for the next two rounds, she has disadvantage on, like, spells.
- 31:57Speaker 5: As you hear the crunch of her hands, Pat looks terrifying while also is looking at Hammera really sympathetically, but just says, no no more. Can't can't. No no more. As he levels up and makes a menacing attack as he breaks her hands as he levels as a battle master level three.
- 32:17Speaker 2: Yeah. I got a six. Oh. She's now frightened of Pat. Shoot.
- 32:22Speaker 3: Hell yeah. And
- 32:24Speaker 4: grapple.
- 32:25Speaker 2: I have advantage. Oh yeah. And grapple. Okay. You see this moment of emotive shift come over her face as she goes from determined frustration to frustrated and frightened.
- 32:47She looks in that moment like the child that she realistically is. Backed into a corner, forced to do things against her will, but without a lot of options that she can see. She looks away from you, sees the escaping statue, and has to do something about it. The cave is going to munch munch on the people in the tunnel. So it's going to crush down on Bunky first.
- 33:25Does a 11 beat your AC? Does not. That's the time Bunky's AC has That was just the first time. Does 18 beat your AC?
- 33:37Speaker 4: Yeah. Yes.
- 33:42Speaker 2: You take six bludgeoning damage as the cave crunches down on you in this tight space. Monkey's down. Third and fourth attack against Evandria, Nat 20 and a six.
- 33:59Speaker 7: But one of them hits.
- 34:02Speaker 2: 17 bludgeoning damage. Crunch crunch. The tunnel, you all see that they have both gone in this tunnel, and then the tunnel just begins to shake and move and squeeze shut. You can hear it banging against the metal statue.
- 34:16Speaker 7: Evandria is down.
- 34:18Speaker 2: That was a month... Evandria, death saving throw? A
- 34:22Speaker 7: 10?
- 34:23Speaker 2: That is a success. Mala.
- 34:26Speaker 4: Now that the fog is cleared, what do we what do we see? Like, because... Yeah. The cave's been moving, but like, has it been permanently altered? Like, is there like new formations and Yep.
- 34:36Speaker 2: The cave is functionally alive as a mimic. It is actively trying to constrict and keep you down here. You will have to climb out against its will.
- 34:49Speaker 4: And does it look like Tamara's controlling it?
- 34:52Speaker 2: Or that... Looks like she has just awakened it.
- 34:56Speaker 4: Gotcha. I'll... Now that I can see Tamara fully... Is Pat still grappling her? Like, I still have vanished?
- 35:02Yep. Cool. I'm gonna look at her. Go. I will redeem you as my sword starts to glow again as I go in for a catash.
- 35:10Speaker 3: You go. No.
- 35:12Speaker 4: No tattoo. Just go. Is the tattoo still on my arm?
- 35:16Speaker 2: Yeah. It's on your arm.
- 35:19Speaker 4: That is a 20 to hit. That is a hit. I will use my third and final spell slot for Smite.
- 35:25Speaker 2: Can't take
- 35:25Speaker 4: too That is eight slashing damage. I'm probably rolling low. And 13 radiant. So another 21.
- 35:35Speaker 2: Okay. Can't take too many more of this.
- 35:37Speaker 4: I've dealt 71 damage to Jesus.
- 35:42Speaker 2: Alright. That is Mala. It is her turn. She turns to look at you and she says, enough, and she's going to attack you.
- 35:51Speaker 5: Bringing up a... Disadvantage.
- 35:53Speaker 2: She has disadvantage.
- 35:55Speaker 4: Oh, yeah. Sap. Oh, you have her grappled anyway.
- 35:58Speaker 5: Yeah. And she's frightened of me, so
- 35:59Speaker 4: she has disadvantage on ability checks and saving
- 36:01Speaker 5: throws. Or in attack rolls. She wishes she could.
- 36:04Speaker 2: Yeah. She'll attack you.
- 36:08Speaker 4: I missed. Thank God my armor means something now.
- 36:11Speaker 2: And then I'm going to teleport to the outside of the tunnel where Eleanor is, away from Pat and Mala. Eleanor, you're up.
- 36:24Speaker 3: If I didn't try to get ungrappled, could I reach her?
- 36:27Speaker 2: Yes. Yeah. Grapple twenty twenty four, you're fine. You can attack away.
- 36:31Speaker 3: Okay. I probably don't have the wherewithal to, like, grab a machete or anything. Right? I probably am just still holding my longbow.
- 36:43Speaker 2: You can do that if you want. Okay.
- 36:48Speaker 7: There's also peep... The bunkie down if you... Mhmm. Okay. And abandon.
- 36:55Speaker 3: I mean, there's nothing I can do. Okay. I don't even any...
- 36:59Speaker 2: She can't move.
- 36:59Speaker 3: I don't even have any magic abilities or anything. So, I do. I grab my machete and I go for her hands.
- 37:09Speaker 2: Yeah. Go ahead. Take an attack roll. Horrible man's hands.
- 37:11Speaker 3: Alright. Eleanor still has her human arms and hands free, and so she pulls out her machete and she goes to attack and goes for her hands.
- 37:23Speaker 4: Yeah. Oh. Disadvantage.
- 37:26Speaker 2: That... I don't think it's... I think that's what I've been saying, isn't it? Yeah. Yeah.
- 37:29It's not in the rules, but I've been saying that.
- 37:34Speaker 3: 15.
- 37:35Speaker 2: Meets it beats it. You do not get sneak attack though.
- 37:39Speaker 3: It'd be so funny if I did. Nine. Nine damage to her wrists with my machete.
- 37:47Speaker 2: You see her take the cut. In frustration, she says, there's nothing you can do, Eleanor. I'm sorry this had to happen.
- 37:58Speaker 3: With my as my bonus action, will use my insightful fighting, to see, well, no, never mind, because that only gives me sneak attack. In my mind, insightful fighting, like, realistically, would I be able to be like, she's about to do this, but that's not the case.
- 38:16Speaker 2: I mean, getting sneak attack damage is not a bad thing. As
- 38:19Speaker 3: a bonus action, Eleanor takes her insightful fighting, and she has to is it deception?
- 38:30Speaker 2: I think it's insight.
- 38:33Speaker 4: Seven. I rolled a 12.
- 38:35Speaker 2: Okay. What'd you get?
- 38:36Speaker 3: Seven.
- 38:37Speaker 2: Okay. Bunky.
- 38:38Speaker 6: I I roll with disadvantage, correct?
- 38:41Speaker 2: You do.
- 38:43Speaker 6: Either way, it's a fail.
- 38:47Speaker 2: Okay. Any Nat ones? Damn close. Great. Two and a three.
- 38:51Great. Oh. That is the first fail for Bunky as the color begins to drain from his body.
- 38:57Speaker 4: Pat, you're up. Pat looks at Mala and goes,
- 39:01Speaker 8: I can't heal shit. You gotta you gotta you gotta do something.
- 39:04Speaker 5: I'm all out. Jesus Christ. And runs after Tamara and is gonna take another unarmed strike to just tackle her and grapple her again.
- 39:14Speaker 2: Yep. You shimmy through the cave, get into that small room and just try to pin her up against the wall.
- 39:20Speaker 8: Yep. You simply... Like, we will help you get out of this. That is a 16.
- 39:26Speaker 2: I got a two. We out
- 39:28Speaker 8: of this. It's fine. We'll figure it out.
- 39:30Speaker 2: You pin her up against the wall and immediately you can already see that she has this like inky black surface. The cave is going to attack Mala.
- 39:43Speaker 4: Why me?
- 39:45Speaker 2: First two attacks, seventeen and twenty two.
- 39:50Speaker 4: The 22 will hit.
- 39:53Speaker 2: Eight damage. Eight bludgeoning damage. Still alive, awake... Remember, I'm
- 39:59Speaker 4: not threatening her. I'm in a separate room.
- 40:01Speaker 2: It's true.
- 40:01Speaker 4: I'm just saying...
- 40:02Speaker 2: The cave will attack.
- 40:04Speaker 3: Yes.
- 40:05Speaker 4: Mala? Damn it. I thought you're choosing someone else.
- 40:08Speaker 2: 15? Nope. Last attack, I'll attack Eleanor. Leave me alone. Advantage, get your grappled.
- 40:1923?
- 40:20Speaker 3: Yeah. What's resistance do?
- 40:22Speaker 6: You get minus one d four is reduced from the damage. Okay. Five damage.
- 40:29Speaker 2: Oh. That could be huge. Two. So you take three bludgeoning damage.
- 40:35Speaker 3: Damn it. I had three left. Okay.
- 40:40Speaker 2: Chunks of rock, pelt Eleanor and her body goes limp. Thinking it's a real good thing we called Massey now. Of Andrea?
- 40:50Speaker 3: Yeah. Why haven't... It's been eighteen seconds. Where are they?
- 40:53Speaker 7: That's a three.
- 40:55Speaker 2: That's a fail. What's your account at right now? A fail and a pass?
- 40:59Speaker 4: Mhmm.
- 40:59Speaker 2: Okay. Mala?
- 41:01Speaker 4: Pat, what do we do? Do we save them or do we finish Tamara?
- 41:05Speaker 5: We gotta save our friends.
- 41:06Speaker 8: We'll figure this out.
- 41:09Speaker 4: I don't... Ana doesn't like that.
- 41:12Speaker 3: What would Mala do?
- 41:14Speaker 4: Mala would finish it. Mala's gonna ignore that and go get the attack of advantage on Tamra. I'm gonna use my bonus action adrenaline rush to sprint over and make an attack.
- 41:26Speaker 2: What's with what's the... Oh, because she's
- 41:28Speaker 5: grappled.
- 41:32Speaker 4: That is a 15. Meetsa beatsa. For only six points of slashing damage.
- 41:38Speaker 2: She looks rough right now. You can see that she is crying again. The... Almost like her tears are on fire come down her face and she says, please just let me go, Pat. Please just let me go.
- 41:55We're gonna figure it out. Without, Yanks is taking... Has continued to take the statue up and out. It is now up and outside of the well.
- 42:08Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 42:09Speaker 2: Okay. So none of you know where it is actively?
- 42:13Speaker 3: It have... It has hunter's mark on it.
- 42:15Speaker 2: It does have hunter... Has no concentration.... Anything on it.
- 42:18Speaker 4: Oh, gotcha.
- 42:19Speaker 7: Okay. Evandria is down and all she said is...
- 42:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 42:23Speaker 7: So in my mind, it... The statue was continuing to sit in the tunnel because if it was like come and get it with Evandria and Yanks taking it out, the second I went down, the only way that I can continue to have things move would be me having them move.
- 42:44Speaker 2: Mhmm.
- 42:44Speaker 7: So I don't... To me, if you want it to be out, then sure.... It's sitting in that tunnel and they all had to crawl past the statue Okay. To continue hurting my lovey.
- 42:58Speaker 2: She is going to try and break this grapple.
- 43:05Speaker 5: 18. 21. Pat, pat, pat. Hey, I really like that sword, and we're gonna get you out
- 43:14Speaker 4: of this. We'll take care of it. We're gonna get you out of this. It's gonna be fine. We're gonna get it.
- 43:19We're gonna figure it out.
- 43:20Speaker 2: She is going to teleport away. Teleports to the top of the well.
- 43:29Speaker 7: Without the statue?
- 43:30Speaker 2: Without the statue. And she says, Pat, I can call off this monster. It's just gonna chew you up down there. Then do it. Please, I have to do this.
- 43:48We'll see. And she just stands at the top of the well as the sides of the cave begin to continue to grind and shift and she plans to just watch you all get garbage disposal at the bottom of this well and then she'll come down and retrieve the statue after. Eleanor, death saving throw.
- 44:14Speaker 3: 11.
- 44:15Speaker 2: That's a success. Bunky? 15. That's a success. Pat?
- 44:25Speaker 5: Pat pulls out his crossbow and shoots her in the leg.
- 44:31Speaker 2: Refranged weapons. Yep. Have you had that this whole time? I've never seen you use your crossbow ever before.
- 44:39Speaker 8: I literally said I pulled it out to protect Amanda and then she fucking took off. Hey,
- 44:44Speaker 5: Justin.
- 44:45Speaker 4: Is it a crate? That's a natural 20. Finish what I started, Pat.
- 44:51Speaker 2: Yeah. That hurts. Five. 13 points of damage. How do you wanna do this?
- 44:59Speaker 4: Pat is intentionally shooting her
- 45:02Speaker 2: Not at least where...
- 45:03Speaker 5: Yep. Where she will not die. Pat firmly believes like we will figure this out. We'll get Tamara out of this.
- 45:08Speaker 4: Tamara's our friend. Tamara's in
- 45:10Speaker 5: a fucked situation. We just gotta get the fucking cave to be done. He's gonna action surge over and try and like do a medicine check or whatever Yeah. On Bunky. Yep.
- 45:19And figure out what to do.
- 45:22Speaker 2: Go ahead and give me a medicine check. 14. That counts as a success for you.
- 45:28Speaker 4: Okay. Is that not immediately stable?
- 45:30Speaker 2: Do you have a medicine kit? No. Oh, yeah. You're right. It is it is fully stabilized.
- 45:36I'm up.
- 45:37Speaker 8: No. You're not up.
- 45:38Speaker 5: You're at zero hit points.
- 45:39Speaker 2: You're at zero.
- 45:40Speaker 5: Not dying. Technically, you roll
- 45:42Speaker 4: a d four and that's me hours until you gain one health back.
- 45:44Speaker 6: But I don't need to keep doing death saves. Correct.
- 45:47Speaker 2: That's fantastic because I was gonna die. My turn crunch crunch.
- 45:50Speaker 8: Is she she's not controlling the cave?
- 45:53Speaker 2: No. Oh, cool. She just awakened it. Sit. We're gonna do first two attacks against Pat.
- 46:00Nine and fourteen. Neither hit. Third and fourth attack against Pat. Nat twenty and twenty one... 23.
- 46:08Both hit. 13 damage. Cool. Still up?
- 46:14Speaker 4: Oh, yeah. Don't you worry about it.
- 46:17Speaker 2: The cave is now just truly like a garbage disposal, rotating consistently everywhere. Those of you who are unconscious, your bodies are limp enough that it's just rolling you around. Your body's on top of the the things that anyone who is conscious resist enough that it's crunching down on you. It's attracted to movement and resistance. So any time that anyone's trying to struggle against it, which just happens naturally, it's going to focus in on you.
- 46:48Evandria. Oh.
- 46:52Speaker 7: It's a nat one.
- 46:54Speaker 2: That's a double failure.
- 46:55Speaker 7: I die. No. Yeah. I die.
- 46:59Speaker 2: You had... Mhmm.
- 47:01Speaker 7: I don't have one failure...
- 47:02Speaker 2: No. You all see Evandria completely go out. Yanks flies over to you and begins to like shake you. Evandria. Evandria, I don't feel you.
- 47:16Evandria. Evandria. And his voice gets quieter and quieter until he goes from a fully formed pixie to just this hovering light, this willow wisp of sorts as he has lost his bond. And he just is hovering above her, now dead body. Mala.
- 47:44Speaker 4: Can I throw can I throw the statue out of here?
- 47:51Speaker 2: You can try.
- 47:51Speaker 4: As like a free action?
- 47:53Speaker 2: I'll allow it as a bonus action.
- 47:55Speaker 4: Perfect. I'm gonna pick up the statue and chuck it out of the cave.
- 47:58Speaker 2: Give me an athletics check.
- 48:02Speaker 4: Natural 20?
- 48:04Speaker 2: Yeah. Like a perfect shot put just right at the top of this cave.
- 48:11Speaker 4: Does the cave stop attacking? No. Fuck. I don't know. Maybe it's attracted to the thing.
- 48:16Then I'm gonna run over and try to stabilize Eleanor, I guess.
- 48:20Speaker 2: K. Give me a medicine check.
- 48:24Speaker 4: Another natural 20. Eleanor stabilized. It's technically a 19, but it was a natural 20. Oh, yeah. Does she pop up instantaneously?
- 48:33Speaker 2: And that, I'm gonna say she stabilizes.
- 48:35Speaker 4: No. Okay. That's fine. And I guess start... I can't drag her.
- 48:39I've used all my actions.
- 48:41Speaker 2: She is unconscious. Eleanor is unconscious. Bunky is unconscious. Pat.
- 48:47Speaker 5: How high is the ledge? Obviously, it's roiling and shit, but...
- 48:50Speaker 4: Yeah, like 20 feet. Okay.
- 48:52Speaker 5: With disadvantage, could I grappling hook and just try and get grab Avandria's body and Bunkie's body and climb out of here?
- 48:59Speaker 2: Grappling hook would not be a disadvantage at all.
- 49:02Speaker 5: Figured because it was roiling and...
- 49:04Speaker 2: Yeah. It's roiling, but grappling would give you advantage. I think it just makes a flat check.
- 49:08Speaker 8: Okay. Yep. So Pat's gonna
- 49:10Speaker 5: pick up Evander, throw over one shoulder, pick up Bunky, because he's... And put him in
- 49:15Speaker 4: his fucking back pocket or whatever. Mhmm.
- 49:17Speaker 5: And throw grappling hook up to the top and try and climb
- 49:20Speaker 2: out. Okay.
- 49:23Speaker 5: A 16?
- 49:25Speaker 2: That is good enough. Okay. It's really who did you take out with you?
- 49:28Speaker 5: Evandrian monkeys. Okay. Bodies. Okay. And sets them over the side and then uses...
- 49:34Does that use all my movement or can I?
- 49:35Speaker 2: Yeah. That for sure Okay. Use all your movement. Between going to grab your friends and then climb out, you Mhmm. For sure use all of your movement.
- 49:41Speaker 4: And then I'm gonna use my second wind to get some HP.
- 49:44Speaker 2: Alright. That leaves Mala. Bring a cave. 10, 11, 18, 21.
- 49:54Speaker 4: Only the 21 hits.
- 49:58Speaker 2: Four, bludgeoning damage. Today, I roll poorly.
- 50:03Speaker 4: Thank God for temp HP. I'll take it.
- 50:06Speaker 2: Just you and Eleanor down here as the cage... Get those muscles ready. I can come help. Evandria, you are dead.
- 50:19Speaker 3: Yeah. She's
- 50:20Speaker 7: sick. That's kind of the whole thing.
- 50:23Speaker 3: Because I'm grappled on the wall. Would you guys have to turn it
- 50:27Speaker 4: on fire? Did it release her?
- 50:28Speaker 2: They released her. Yeah. Okay. Evandria, you are suddenly aware of your surroundings. You see your friends and your body being pulled out as Pat puts Bunkie in his back pocket, slings you over the shoulder, moves his way up, rests you at there at the top of the well next to Tamara's unconscious body.
- 51:05And above you, you see this sickly green river in the air comprised of hundreds of thousands of almost eel shaped amorphous blobs. You feel... You look down at your hands also that same shade of green and you almost feel like a current trying to pull you up towards that river, what do you do?
- 51:47Speaker 7: Evandria, upon seeing all of this destruction, is so sad
- 52:02Speaker 1: that all of this has happened. And she reaches out to try and say goodbye to her friends as she's slowly being pulled in the opposite direction.
- 52:19Speaker 2: You, as you get pulled slowly away, see Tamara next to you, her body glowing with this purplish light and these deep steel chains wrapped around her that you did not see before. These spiritual chains, the pact that she has binding her to these actions. The statue glimmers a bright gold color. All of the collected luck in this space now evident and clear to you. And in the woods across from you, a similar gold glow approaches.
- 53:19Molly, you're up.
- 53:23Speaker 4: Can I lift a Centaur?
- 53:25Speaker 5: We can lift a Centaur if you wanna wait for me to come down and help
- 53:28Speaker 2: you out. Give me give me an athletics check. 14? Yeah. I think that's good enough.
- 53:33It's pretty. Cool. But you've got a grappling hook to hold you.
- 53:37Speaker 4: Cool. And then I'm gonna, I guess, action dash to help my climb and like get out of fear and
- 53:41Speaker 2: Yep.
- 53:42Speaker 4: Immediately grab the statue when I get out and like put it in my bag or something.
- 53:48Speaker 2: It is a like two and a half foot tall statue.
- 53:50Speaker 4: And I'm gonna like next to it.
- 53:52Speaker 2: Saint statue.
- 53:53Speaker 4: Yeah. I'm just gonna stand next to it then.
- 53:55Speaker 3: Like one of those geese you can dress You
- 53:57Speaker 2: see in the forest the copse of trees cross from you, this golden light approaching. This is all going not as planned, not as planned, not as planned. A short woman no more than of Andrea's height emerges from the forest wearing gold and red regalia, her hair matted but filled with red ribbon that she has haphazardly tied in place as a way to cover up thinning spots. Her face pale, age marks patching, her cheeks, and her uncovered shoulders. She has long four inch nails that have been covered with a golden lacquer and around her neck is what is clearly a blood pendant of some kind resting against the vestments she wears.
- 55:09And she looks at you, Mala, and says, not to plan at all, but if you'll hand over the statue, we can call it a day. How does that sound? I'll look
- 55:28Speaker 4: at the two unconscious and one dead body around us, and I'll look eyes with Pat. Do I get any
- 55:40Speaker 2: Oh, no. Don't do that. No. No. No.
- 55:44This isn't the time for conspiring. This is the time for doing the goddamn best you can to save your stupid little friends.
- 55:53Speaker 4: Do you want
- 55:53Speaker 2: me to count? One, two, one. One, two, three people down. I didn't even lift a finger and I've took three of you out. I don't think really now is the time, little boys.
- 56:15Speaker 4: We have reinforcements on the way.
- 56:17Speaker 2: Think they're gonna make it in time?
- 56:19Speaker 4: I will lift my shield and stand between her and the statue.
- 56:22Speaker 2: Oh, luck is on your side.
- 56:26Speaker 4: I don't know. I'm feeling pretty lucky today. Delicious. Seems like you need the statue. Seems like we have the statue.
- 56:39Speaker 2: Sounds like an opportunity for a trade.
- 56:41Speaker 5: What do you have in mind?
- 56:43Speaker 2: I'll let you live.
- 56:46Speaker 4: Is this supposed to be you?
- 56:49Speaker 5: It's not a very faithful rendering.
- 56:52Speaker 2: She grins at that. Several of her teeth are missing. The rest are in various states of decay. One of them has a stone embedded into it, a gemstone in an attempt to beautify it. Oh, well, I do enjoy a good time.
- 57:19Going to roll initiative for goody fates bane. She got a 13, which puts her before... Bunky, what did you get?
- 57:33Speaker 6: You might... 10, think. Yeah.
- 57:40Speaker 2: Pat, she's going to go before you. She is going to cast confusion. She extends her hand and a golden light flashes leaving red after images in both of your visions. Go ahead and give me a wisdom saving throw. You have to beat a DC 17.
- 58:02Speaker 4: Five.
- 58:06Speaker 2: Four. Both of you are now under the confused condition. On your turn, you will roll a die and that will determine what you do. With that, she is going to walk up. You can't take reactions.
- 58:24She puts her hand on the statue, a little nail on the side of Mala's cheek and pull it down leaving just the shallowest of cuts. Look over at you and Pat and say, well, this was fun. Brief, but that is the end of her turn. That brings it to Pat. Pat, go ahead and roll a d 10.
- 58:54Six. Six. The creature does not move or take actions this turn. Mala. Nine?
- 59:02This creature can act and move normally. Jesus. Now now now, don't get any ideas. I'd hate to have to keep going.
- 59:11Speaker 4: Bring her back and you can have it.
- 59:15Speaker 2: She looks over at Evandria's body. Soul work is so messy. She looks over at Evandria's soul where it floats in the air. She pulls out a hair from the side of her head. She ties the hair to Evandria's ankle, pulls, the hair gets longer.
- 59:45None of you Pat or Mala can see her soul, but she can. And she ties the other end of her hair to Evandria's soul. Evandria, the pull of the current suddenly no longer finds purchase as her hair has attached you to your body as she casts gentle repose, keeping you here, keeping your spirit close to your body. And she says, hopefully your help can do something about this soul.
- 1:00:26Speaker 4: It's still my turn. Right? It is. Is the cave still active? It is.
- 1:00:30I'm gonna grapple Goody. Okay. Or attempt to grapple Goody.
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: You can attempt to grapple Goody.
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: It's a 21.
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: She is going to use her ability called curse of luck. Go ahead and make a wisdom saving throw. 20. You succeed, so you...
- 1:00:51Speaker 4: You're verifying all I'm good.
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: You do not get disadvantage on this roll. What did you get? 21. She got a 16.
- 1:01:03Speaker 4: Question. She's grapple. Can I push her into the cave or do I have to take her down with me?
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: On your turn, I think the new grapple rules say that you can use your movement through difficult terrain to move her with you, so you would have to be with her.
- 1:01:16Speaker 4: Can I just drag her to the side and then drop her in? Yeah. She's cast Gentle Repose already. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:01:23Cool. I'm gonna drop her into the cave. Okay. So Mal will, like like, as she finishes the spell and, like, announces that the help can save her, I'm just gonna like bear hug her, like drag her over and then drop her over the entrance to the cave.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: You should not have broken a promise.
- 1:01:43Speaker 4: Dropped her in the cave. She's in the cave.
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: Yeah. That is Mala. We are to her. She will use her misty step to misty step out. She...
- 1:01:57You see her fall down and then a absolute blood red mist flies back out. She lands and coalesces next to you and says, I don't know why we're even trying this. This is so embarrassing for you. And she cuts the string that connects the spirit with her hand. Don't break deals, you little stupid boy.
- 1:02:26And she'll put her hand on the statue, it levitates into the air and she walks away.
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: I could take a reaction.
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: You don't have reactions while you're under the confusion...
- 1:02:37Speaker 4: Right. Yeah.
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: Pat. Two. Confusion? Oh. Nine.
- 1:02:46Do you act and move normally?
- 1:02:52Speaker 4: I'm gonna grab Mal's warble marble from his pocket and just yell the coordinates of where
- 1:03:00Speaker 5: we are and let Mazzy know.
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: I'm on my way. Bring Adalore. I... Adalore's here. I'm I'm...
- 1:03:09Everyone's here. Everyone's here. I'm here now.
