- 0:07Speaker 1: bow and they all wear to whist so yet, but
- 0:12Speaker 1: what did you expect? It's a podcast called twenty five Whistles. Hey,
- 0:20Speaker 1: what's happening? Twenty five Whistles presented by Draft Kings Sports Book,
- 0:23Speaker 1: an official sports betting partner of the NFL. Download the
- 0:27Speaker 1: Draft Kings app and use the code Bobby sports to
- 0:29Speaker 1: get in on the action. And do you want to
- 0:31Speaker 1: whistless in? Of course I do. Let's go all right, yeah,
- 0:36Speaker 1: all right, Uh. We don't always do shows early in
- 0:41Speaker 1: the week, but after the first weekend, especially in college football,
- 0:44Speaker 1: we got to come on and talk about what happened
- 0:45Speaker 1: over the weekend. But before we get go on, let's
- 0:47Speaker 1: do the warm up question. How much do you think
- 0:50Speaker 1: you can bench press? Come on, that's the question, and
- 0:54Speaker 1: nobody's say their answer depending on what other people are saying. Okay,
- 0:58Speaker 1: how much do you think you can ben press? Let's
- 1:01Speaker 1: go to Eddie first. This is the max met one
- 1:04Speaker 1: time one one rep's ninety that's two plates and then
- 1:09Speaker 1: plus the bar. What's thirty five would be there? One
- 1:12Speaker 1: thirty five is my answer, I'm Eddie, uh and one
- 1:15Speaker 1: is my answer, what else do you do my birthday?
- 1:16Speaker 1: I don't care today. I know what I can bench
- 1:23Speaker 1: press because I do bench press quite regularly, and one
- 1:29Speaker 1: rep I can probably do two thirty, which is pretty
- 1:32Speaker 1: good for me. It's the highest I have ever had. Honestly,
- 1:35Speaker 1: when I got like to Tin and he didn't tell
- 1:37Speaker 1: me it was too tin my trainer. He was like,
- 1:39Speaker 1: if you get this, I think it's like one seventy five.
- 1:41Speaker 1: And I was like, oh, got this one. I pushed
- 1:42Speaker 1: up pretty. I was like, he goes, I lied. I
- 1:45Speaker 1: was like, what so it's all ahead, it's all mental.
- 1:47Speaker 1: So one yeah, one rep. I'm just gonna go to
- 1:50Speaker 1: twenty five. We'll go to one rep. Okay, Kevin. That's
- 1:54Speaker 1: bigger than I am, of course, But I don't really
- 1:56Speaker 1: go for the uh, you know, a lot of weight anymore.
- 1:58Speaker 1: I'm more of the push ups, lightweight and a guy now.
- 2:00Speaker 1: So you act like I'm trying to jack a bunch
- 2:03Speaker 1: of weight. But that's solid for your weight. I mean,
- 2:06Speaker 1: that's pretty good. I probably I've never been a strong
- 2:09Speaker 1: venture I would probably say to Fort, you just had
- 2:14Speaker 1: to go a little bit more than me. You couldn't
- 2:15Speaker 1: even just say the same. He had to go just
- 2:17Speaker 1: a little little bit. Hey, Mike de what about you.
- 2:20Speaker 1: I know I can do two hundred comfortably, so I
- 2:23Speaker 1: could probably go to that's that's strong. It's really strong.
- 2:28Speaker 1: So since we've spoken last, let me let you guys
- 2:31Speaker 1: on a few things. My wife and I go on
- 2:33Speaker 1: vacation and we go to a place I've never been before,
- 2:38Speaker 1: Turks and Caicos. I don't know where it was. It
- 2:40Speaker 1: sounds like a Thanksgiving dinner. It's over in those islands
- 2:43Speaker 1: near the Bahamas. It's right there, like Hadi been there
- 2:46Speaker 1: for Amy's co hosts kids when she adopted them, been
- 2:51Speaker 1: to the Bahamas, the Caribbean all that. I feel like
- 2:55Speaker 1: you have no idea what you're talking really, because I
- 2:58Speaker 1: didn't you know over there, that's it. They're all right there,
- 3:03Speaker 1: like off the floor. And so we had to go
- 3:05Speaker 1: somewhere somewhat close. And who knew Turks and Caicos was
- 3:07Speaker 1: kind of closed because once we got to Atlanta, it's
- 3:10Speaker 1: like two hours. So we go to land it's two
- 3:12Speaker 1: hours there. We Land were to place and it's like
- 3:16Speaker 1: night three and it's a nice place. And so we're
- 3:19Speaker 1: staying in this resort type thing and uh, something's happening. Like,
- 3:25Speaker 1: what do you mean something happened? She goes, look, there's
- 3:27Speaker 1: like security everywhere, and I look and it's like three
- 3:32Speaker 1: big dudes in Nike jump Man T shirts, all matching
- 3:38Speaker 1: so you can tell they're all together. And she goes,
- 3:41Speaker 1: look at all these dudes. She goes, they're here for somebody.
- 3:45Speaker 1: And me, I'm just trying to have my sue flay.
- 3:48Speaker 1: When when else do I have a sue flakes? If
- 3:49Speaker 1: I'm a nanty Turks and Cacos dinner exactly, I don't
- 3:52Speaker 1: know what either. I'll be honest with you, is that
- 3:54Speaker 1: when they light it on fire bay, I don't know
- 3:57Speaker 1: my bays in my bays mixed up. So we're in
- 4:02Speaker 1: and she goes, oh, it's Drake. I see him, and
- 4:04Speaker 1: I was like, Drake White, the Cutch singer. She goes, no, no, Drake,
- 4:09Speaker 1: you know you only everything and I was I was like, riscues,
- 4:13Speaker 1: don't turn around, don't come around. And I'm like, when
- 4:14Speaker 1: you say you don't turn around, all I want to
- 4:15Speaker 1: do is turn around. Yea. And she goes to Drake
- 4:19Speaker 1: into his girlfriend and she goes, I can see them.
- 4:22Speaker 1: She goes, but don't turn around. So you know what
- 4:24Speaker 1: I do is I get my phone and I put
- 4:25Speaker 1: on reverse and she goes, noting you can see that too.
- 4:29Speaker 1: She goes and she said to me she was when
- 4:30Speaker 1: people take pictures of us out and they do all
- 4:32Speaker 1: these tricks, don't you see it? Immediately I'm like, yeah,
- 4:35Speaker 1: just doing that, And so she goes, Okay, they're about
- 4:38Speaker 1: to walk by, So I wanted drake security guys. And
- 4:40Speaker 1: Drake walks right by the table. And it's Drake, and
- 4:43Speaker 1: he's a little shorter than I thought. Mike, would you
- 4:44Speaker 1: google Drake's height? Can't be six ft tall? Okay, that's
- 4:47Speaker 1: what I thought. So they walked by, and I can
- 4:52Speaker 1: hear the manager because it is a small place, and
- 4:56Speaker 1: they asked the manager to clear body of the restaurant
- 4:59Speaker 1: because I wanted to eat, so they wanted us to
- 5:02Speaker 1: all be cleared. They were only like four tables there.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Later in the night's smaller. It's also close to hurricane
- 5:09Speaker 1: season and kids are back in school, so there aren't
- 5:10Speaker 1: a lot of people there. What's the My Internet says
- 5:13Speaker 1: six foot bull crap, Internet full of crap shorter than that.
- 5:17Speaker 1: And so I hear the manager go sir, no disrespect
- 5:23Speaker 1: but nobody here cares, meaning like nobody's gonna bother him.
- 5:27Speaker 1: She was like, everybody here has their own thing going on.
- 5:31Speaker 1: No one's gonna go and bother your client. And he's like, okay, okay, okay,
- 5:38Speaker 1: can we at least make everybody put their phones away?
- 5:41Speaker 1: She goes, sir, I'm not going up to these people
- 5:43Speaker 1: they're staying at this place because it's a luxury resort
- 5:45Speaker 1: and say hey, would you mind putting your phone away?
- 5:47Speaker 1: So either you can have dinner here like you've requested,
- 5:50Speaker 1: or we can try to put you somewhere else. And
- 5:52Speaker 1: I think they were kind of shocked by that, to
- 5:54Speaker 1: be honest, I think most times people just do whatever.
- 5:58Speaker 1: But basically the one was like, so there are other
- 6:01Speaker 1: people here that probably have their pictures taken to and
- 6:07Speaker 1: just go chill. That was basically what she told. I
- 6:09Speaker 1: love that. I thought it was cool because I don't
- 6:11Speaker 1: want to get up. I was eating and you interrupted me.
- 6:13Speaker 1: You're like, by the way, we do care that. I
- 6:15Speaker 1: was like pure, I was like I started there. So
- 6:20Speaker 1: they told Drake they go put him up a table
- 6:23Speaker 1: to beach, and they walked him down where nobody was
- 6:24Speaker 1: and anybody could have got a table to beach, but
- 6:26Speaker 1: there was nobody down there, so they just put him
- 6:28Speaker 1: up a table and he went down there in aid.
- 6:30Speaker 1: But they did not let Drake kick us out of
- 6:32Speaker 1: the restaurant, which I thought was really cool, and I
- 6:35Speaker 1: was just happy that I got to keep eating and
- 6:37Speaker 1: didn't have to get up, and I saw Drake, What
- 6:39Speaker 1: would you have done? Though, you take your food to go?
- 6:41Speaker 1: I'd probably got a fight with Drake for the dress.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Um I'd have recorded it, Honestly, I had to turn
- 6:48Speaker 1: my phone I don't recorded it, and been like, Okay,
- 6:50Speaker 1: they're kicking this out because Drake's here, And they would
- 6:53Speaker 1: have probably then said police, sir, don't post that will
- 6:55Speaker 1: give you a deal on your room, and then I
- 6:57Speaker 1: just said a deal, and I had accepted the deal.
- 6:58Speaker 1: But then I would have got back and still had
- 6:59Speaker 1: the video and then posted the video get double called
- 7:01Speaker 1: double dipping, and then talked about how like, oh, how
- 7:04Speaker 1: diva Drake is, and then that would have happened. Well,
- 7:06Speaker 1: then I would have gotten to a feud with Drake,
- 7:07Speaker 1: except he wouldn't have known. It was a few, but
- 7:09Speaker 1: it have been a one sided because I been in
- 7:10Speaker 1: your head. Absolutely, But I wouldn't have stopped. This track
- 7:15Speaker 1: have been NonStop. So that happened. I watched the Mantate documentary.
- 7:20Speaker 1: I want to hear this two parts. You know, they
- 7:23Speaker 1: kind of pulled me different directions during the documentary. And
- 7:28Speaker 1: I'm gonna say at first because I don't want to
- 7:30Speaker 1: mess up saying the wrong thing, because as soon as
- 7:33Speaker 1: it starts, they say, and I'm gonna mess up. When
- 7:37Speaker 1: he was that he his name Ranya. Everybody's watched it
- 7:41Speaker 1: mante documentary. Okay, they didn't know Ranya was now a woman,
- 7:48Speaker 1: and so when they kept referring to him as he,
- 7:50Speaker 1: they didn't know that ny had had transitioned. But nya
- 7:55Speaker 1: the person who when when Rania was the one that
- 8:00Speaker 1: cat fish back in the day, right, But now she
- 8:03Speaker 1: is on talking about why she did it, and it
- 8:06Speaker 1: leads with her and you just didn't expect to see
- 8:09Speaker 1: the cat fisher until the very end, or like they're
- 8:13Speaker 1: they're knocking on the door like crime stoppers going come out.
- 8:16Speaker 1: But she's like, hey, I'm sorry, I should have never
- 8:19Speaker 1: done it. Here's why. At times she was like, I
- 8:22Speaker 1: feel sorry for me and I couldn't. I couldn't. I
- 8:24Speaker 1: felt sorry for her. For different reasons, but not because
- 8:26Speaker 1: of that. Do you think there was any chance he
- 8:30Speaker 1: knew what was going on? That? That's really yes. Do
- 8:34Speaker 1: you think there was any chance? What's the percentage chance
- 8:37Speaker 1: of a hundred means absolutely yes, Eddie after watching the
- 8:40Speaker 1: documentary zero, because it was the whole storyline of him
- 8:45Speaker 1: going to a college or a place in America that
- 8:48Speaker 1: he just wasn't He didn't know anyone in Order Dame.
- 8:51Speaker 1: He was homesick, he missed his family, and in Hawaii
- 8:55Speaker 1: that culture is so tight, like the way he explained
- 8:57Speaker 1: in the documentary that I understand where he want to
- 9:00Speaker 1: communicate with other people. He was so focused on football
- 9:02Speaker 1: that when he found quote unquote love through the internet
- 9:07Speaker 1: that was someone from his culture, he fell right in.
- 9:10Speaker 1: And I mean, I I beat that story. I I
- 9:12Speaker 1: believe it. So I think that he didn't know at
- 9:15Speaker 1: all about this catfish and thing. I mean, I've been
- 9:17Speaker 1: catfished before pretty hard, and I can't say zero. But again,
- 9:22Speaker 1: there's almost no chance he knew. I put it it
- 9:24Speaker 1: one percent. Yeah, I just put that there because how
- 9:27Speaker 1: am I really supposed to know? Maybe he knew earlier
- 9:29Speaker 1: than they're letting. Maybe figured it out earlier. I felt
- 9:31Speaker 1: terrible for him. I mean terrible. He seems like such
- 9:35Speaker 1: a good dude, and I did think it was weird
- 9:40Speaker 1: he went to Notre Dame. When actually hearing the story right,
- 9:43Speaker 1: he was like a lot of people pray for a
- 9:45Speaker 1: lot of things, but I just I just prayed for
- 9:47Speaker 1: some guy. That's and he walks up a hill and
- 9:48Speaker 1: there's a guy he's like, hey, you go another name,
- 9:50Speaker 1: and he was like, that was my sign? Why because
- 9:54Speaker 1: you already had the ticket punch for USC. He was
- 9:56Speaker 1: ready to go, and the guy told him there's a
- 9:57Speaker 1: lot of Polynesian players at USC. Go be the first
- 10:00Speaker 1: man Tito at Notre Dame where it's cold in the Midwest.
- 10:04Speaker 1: That yeah, that's yeah. That the whole thing. That part,
- 10:07Speaker 1: to me was bizarre. That's how he ended up picking
- 10:09Speaker 1: that school. But I felt at the end when he's
- 10:13Speaker 1: like he was not a good NFL player, and then
- 10:18Speaker 1: you start to actually hear why, he was like I
- 10:20Speaker 1: questioned everything all the time, so I couldn't play free
- 10:23Speaker 1: because why would I not question myself? I made a
- 10:27Speaker 1: terrible judgment here, what about the rest of my judge?
- 10:29Speaker 1: Like he it's just weird though, because like you know,
- 10:32Speaker 1: he's he's not to blame for this, Like if if
- 10:35Speaker 1: all of this is the way you know they're saying
- 10:37Speaker 1: it is, uh, he's not to blame. He was a cat.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Fishing wasn't a thing, by the way, he was a victim.
- 10:43Speaker 1: And for just for everyone to judge him the way
- 10:46Speaker 1: they did and the way the media went after him
- 10:48Speaker 1: and all this stuff, that's just so unfair and it
- 10:51Speaker 1: ruined his football career. And did you feel really sad
- 10:53Speaker 1: for him? I see him on TikTok occasionally doing motivational
- 10:56Speaker 1: stuff and he may be a coach now maybe or
- 10:59Speaker 1: like a high school he's awesome. Like I just I
- 11:02Speaker 1: just felt terrible for him. It's super sad. He was
- 11:08Speaker 1: a I mean he was a killer. I mean he
- 11:12Speaker 1: was a stone called Killer junior his his his senior year.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Defensively he was just killing folks. But he played terrible
- 11:20Speaker 1: in nach championship game. And I would too if I
- 11:22Speaker 1: find out before the new story. Imagine being the heisman
- 11:25Speaker 1: that whole ceremony and that's only and he was like
- 11:29Speaker 1: I knew but and people were giving him crowd going
- 11:32Speaker 1: why did you answer that way? I would have answered
- 11:34Speaker 1: that way too. I would have said, like, let me
- 11:35Speaker 1: just get through this. But it was good. I give
- 11:38Speaker 1: it four out of five lash and I have a
- 11:44Speaker 1: better understanding because I was making a lot of fun
- 11:46Speaker 1: of it back in the day too. I just didn't
- 11:48Speaker 1: know enough. It was good and I felt bad. And
- 11:50Speaker 1: I do recommend it. I mean, you followed the story
- 11:53Speaker 1: pretty pretty well, but did but I didn't. Still didn't
- 11:56Speaker 1: because again that cat fishing was so new, and I did.
- 12:01Speaker 1: That's what's interesting about the documentary is you think you
- 12:03Speaker 1: knew the whole story, and then you watch it You're like, gosh,
- 12:05Speaker 1: I didn't know any of this stuff. I watched the
- 12:07Speaker 1: Tim Donnige documentary. I haven't watched. I almost watched that yesterday.
- 12:11Speaker 1: But it's great. So he's the referee, the gut busted
- 12:14Speaker 1: and to go to jail for fixing games, which he
- 12:17Speaker 1: claims he didn't, that he just had inside information at
- 12:19Speaker 1: I'm not gonna say a lot about it. Then you
- 12:21Speaker 1: guys haven't watched it. It's real good, Okay, I gave
- 12:23Speaker 1: it four and a half basketball It's real good, and
- 12:27Speaker 1: a lot of stuff I didn't know, and I like
- 12:29Speaker 1: to think I know because I follow this stuff as
- 12:31Speaker 1: close as I can. But you know, an hour and
- 12:32Speaker 1: ten minute documentary, you're gonna see things and go oh,
- 12:35Speaker 1: that's oh. And I'll say this too my opinion. M M.
- 12:42Speaker 1: I don't know if I should give an opinion. I
- 12:45Speaker 1: don't think he was alone because he wasn't and they
- 12:49Speaker 1: busted two other dudes with him. But I don't think
- 12:51Speaker 1: he's the only ref doing it. And you'll you can
- 12:53Speaker 1: have your own opinion. It doesn't say that, but watching it,
- 12:56Speaker 1: there's just no way. But I'm gonna leave it at that.
- 13:00Speaker 1: I recommended really good. It's the same series on Netflix.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Untold is what it's called. So that's good. Um. So
- 13:07Speaker 1: I think Drake and those two things were the ones
- 13:09Speaker 1: I wanted to mention. I also I got all my
- 13:11Speaker 1: stuff and from the from the guy that died with
- 13:14Speaker 1: the Arkansas Paulioles, and I bought from his estate sale
- 13:18Speaker 1: a bunch of old school Arkansas stuff. Mike, do we
- 13:20Speaker 1: have the clip? Yep? How long is it? Two and
- 13:22Speaker 1: a half minutes. It's way too long. I'll tell you what.
- 13:25Speaker 1: We'll put it in this and we'll just play it.
- 13:29Speaker 1: But you know, I got a cheerleader. I guess some
- 13:32Speaker 1: Barbie got some like eight nine eight four nine three
- 13:37Speaker 1: Final four sweatshirts, some old books. I get some old records,
- 13:40Speaker 1: like Lou Holtz when he was coach with the Regorbacks
- 13:42Speaker 1: and Luke Holtz signed him. That's cool, that's awesome, it's
- 13:45Speaker 1: really cool. So here you won't be able to hear
- 13:48Speaker 1: this guy's now, But here's the two and a half
- 13:50Speaker 1: minute clip of me going through and just kind of
- 13:52Speaker 1: laying out some of the stuff. Okay, we're looking at
- 13:55Speaker 1: all the stuff I got from an estate sale from
- 13:58Speaker 1: an old razorback roscaster. I bought it all from his
- 14:01Speaker 1: house of state sale. So let's see. Here we got
- 14:04Speaker 1: Nickname Mania, the book the best of college nicknames and
- 14:08Speaker 1: mascots and the stories behind them. There's a big razorback
- 14:12Speaker 1: on there in the front that's got all the colleges,
- 14:15Speaker 1: the Razorbacks, a story of Arkansas football, big thick book
- 14:18Speaker 1: here the University of Arkansas, All Americans seven. Here's a
- 14:24Speaker 1: record Vinyl looks like with Lou Holtz on the front.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Who's to coach Arkansas? Hog Wild Boom records are made
- 14:32Speaker 1: to be broken, but not this one. Is that a
- 14:35Speaker 1: real signature? And here's razorback Fever with Lou Holtz. I
- 14:40Speaker 1: think he literally signed these because you wrote the same
- 14:43Speaker 1: thing on both of them. Such songs as Razorback Fever, Arkansas,
- 14:48Speaker 1: You're Where I Want to be, Son of a Razorback,
- 14:50Speaker 1: and ode to Billy Ray. There's also one called ask Oklahoma.
- 14:54Speaker 1: All right. We got two razorback plush bears through a
- 14:59Speaker 1: kind of beanie babies, but they are made in China
- 15:02Speaker 1: toy factory. Right. We've got two university barbies in an
- 15:06Speaker 1: Arkansas razorback uniform. We will take one of these to
- 15:11Speaker 1: work with me. We've got a University of Arkansas ornament
- 15:16Speaker 1: mascot ornament. We got a athletic director Frank Broyle's bauble
- 15:20Speaker 1: head pretty legit. We got a rainbow classic bag, O
- 15:28Speaker 1: Bay extra larg sweats sweatshirt, Seattle n C double A
- 15:34Speaker 1: Final four u C l A Arkansas Oklahoma State North
- 15:37Speaker 1: Carolina hat four. A sign football by Houston Nutt in
- 15:46Speaker 1: the entire Arkansas football team from the year two thousand
- 15:50Speaker 1: says nothing but fun two thousand cotton ball signed ball
- 15:54Speaker 1: by the head coach Housta Night. And finally, my most
- 15:56Speaker 1: prized possession Arkansas Christmas. This is Santa Claus full of
- 16:01Speaker 1: Arkansas gear. He's got a back to Arkansas on its
- 16:04Speaker 1: Arkansas pints. He's got a hoghead, he's got arkansa on
- 16:07Speaker 1: his hat. This is Arkans all standing right here. Everybody
- 16:09Speaker 1: else can suck it. So this is so get it
- 16:13Speaker 1: right here? Is this creepy or not? Boom? Okay, so
- 16:17Speaker 1: there you go. That's me and everybody in the studio went, well,
- 16:21Speaker 1: we have no idea what I just jumped one second
- 16:22Speaker 1: ahead in middle life. That sounded awesome. Let me say this.
- 16:25Speaker 1: I had quite the week betting, and I put all
- 16:28Speaker 1: my bets here on the show. I set them, so
- 16:31Speaker 1: I'm not coming to you now going on a bunch
- 16:34Speaker 1: of games. I said all my bets here, and so
- 16:38Speaker 1: seven seven for seven almost, good job, man. Really yeah,
- 16:41Speaker 1: I made a bunch of money. Yeah, and it was awesome.
- 16:43Speaker 1: It was awesome. We did a video at Whistles. Go
- 16:46Speaker 1: to the Instagram page you'll see it out there. But
- 16:49Speaker 1: this is brought to you by Draft Kings Sports book.
- 16:51Speaker 1: I was using Draft Kings even before we started this show.
- 16:55Speaker 1: I'm a big Draft Kings guy. They're an official sports
- 16:57Speaker 1: betting partner of the NFL. Download Draft Kings app used
- 17:00Speaker 1: the code Bobby Sports and get it on the action now.
- 17:03Speaker 1: But I did say I was betting on I bet
- 17:06Speaker 1: the Florida money line. I didn't just take that two points.
- 17:09Speaker 1: I bet the Florida money line because I thought it
- 17:11Speaker 1: was too close. If it's gonna be that close, I'm
- 17:13Speaker 1: just gonna take the team for the most part. And
- 17:15Speaker 1: then Florida one and beat Utah shocked everybody accept me. Well,
- 17:20Speaker 1: I just said I thought they were just gonna be
- 17:23Speaker 1: bigger and faster and stronger. That swamp that was and
- 17:26Speaker 1: the swamps crazy. Um. I gave you guys a three
- 17:30Speaker 1: team parlay. I bet a hundred bucks in the parlay.
- 17:32Speaker 1: It was Alabama basically given up forty, which that game was.
- 17:37Speaker 1: It was over quick. They played Utah State and I
- 17:39Speaker 1: was like, hopefully it's not to the end. It was
- 17:40Speaker 1: like twenty one nothing a half something like that. I
- 17:44Speaker 1: was looking good at half. Georgia crushed Oregon. That one
- 17:47Speaker 1: was out of control, quick to go. So I had
- 17:50Speaker 1: Georgia minus seventeen in Arkansas money line, which we got
- 17:54Speaker 1: got at times a bit close, little royal coaster. Yeah,
- 17:58Speaker 1: but but I never really felt like Arkansas was gonna
- 18:00Speaker 1: lose the game. But I hit it a bet a
- 18:02Speaker 1: hundred bucks on five and thirty dollars. Yeah, on that one.
- 18:05Speaker 1: But I bet it twice. I bet it accident. Well, no,
- 18:08Speaker 1: I bet it with different odds, and I bet it
- 18:10Speaker 1: when the line changed on the Alabama line. Yeah, because
- 18:13Speaker 1: they started at like thirty eight. They started three and
- 18:15Speaker 1: a half and it went off at one. But they
- 18:17Speaker 1: put on the front of DraftKings as they're on their
- 18:19Speaker 1: main stide locked in. It was like whistles bet anybody.
- 18:24Speaker 1: I couldn't believe. It was of the coolest things. I
- 18:27Speaker 1: was like draft telling my wife. She was like, so
- 18:29Speaker 1: you're on a n app was like, yeah, it's cool.
- 18:31Speaker 1: You're on Disney Plus doing a TV show. Yeah, just
- 18:37Speaker 1: used the code Bobby Sports if you sign up. I
- 18:40Speaker 1: bet on Ohio State to win, but Notre Dame to
- 18:42Speaker 1: cover because Notre Dame was minus seventeen and that happened.
- 18:46Speaker 1: No Ohio State was minus seventeen, but but Notre Dame covered.
- 18:51Speaker 1: So I hit that one. And then last week, which
- 18:54Speaker 1: I didn't mention, the parlay was Vanderbilt minus eight and
- 18:57Speaker 1: a half and then the over and I hit that
- 18:59Speaker 1: a bet a hundred buck sixty five. So I waged
- 19:02Speaker 1: your five hundred bucks through this and one hundred let's go, yeah,
- 19:07Speaker 1: through the bets I've done here on this show. Um.
- 19:10Speaker 1: I sent Eddie a couple of bets. The one I
- 19:11Speaker 1: missed in real life that I bet quickly was the
- 19:13Speaker 1: Texas A and m I had him given up thirty
- 19:16Speaker 1: thirty one, No, thirty one and a half. I think
- 19:20Speaker 1: they missed by like a point. They had that long
- 19:22Speaker 1: delay too, right, Yeah, this is a weather delay. And
- 19:25Speaker 1: I told bones. I went to samu'son State, so I know,
- 19:28Speaker 1: you don't bet against the Bearcats and due easy money.
- 19:31Speaker 1: You gotta bet the Bearcats plus you know, thirty one
- 19:34Speaker 1: and a half or whatever. And they covered, they did barely,
- 19:36Speaker 1: but they did that. I didn't. I didn't lose that one.
- 19:39Speaker 1: As a non public I'm just sitting there board watching
- 19:42Speaker 1: a game. And but I hit a couple others. I
- 19:44Speaker 1: had a nine team parlay. I hit eight of them,
- 19:47Speaker 1: nine missed the ninth when Vanderbilt didn't cover and they
- 19:50Speaker 1: covered for most of the game. Question, how much do
- 19:53Speaker 1: you put on a nine game parlay? Well, let me look,
- 19:57Speaker 1: because I won't put more than two dollars if if
- 20:00Speaker 1: I feel pretty good about it like I did, because
- 20:02Speaker 1: I felt like I was get hit all nine and eight.
- 20:05Speaker 1: I dang it almost did. Yeah. Crazy, Well, I feel
- 20:08Speaker 1: like I'm gonna hit on nine every time it plays
- 20:09Speaker 1: a bet, but I don't know. Sometimes that plays, I
- 20:12Speaker 1: don't think I'm going. I'm like, I feel pretty good
- 20:14Speaker 1: about it. But on this one, I felt like I
- 20:15Speaker 1: was gonna crush Michigan money line one, U c l
- 20:19Speaker 1: A money Line one, Georgia money Line, one, Arkansas money
- 20:21Speaker 1: line one, Ole miss money Line, one, Ohio State money Line,
- 20:24Speaker 1: one South Carolina twelve and a half spread one Mississippi
- 20:27Speaker 1: State money Line one Vanderbilt minus nineteen lost. I bet
- 20:32Speaker 1: on that one, that one two hundred dollars, and if
- 20:35Speaker 1: if I would have won, it was like, yeah, interesting,
- 20:40Speaker 1: you did all most money lines? Did you do all
- 20:42Speaker 1: except two? And that's the one that beat you. I
- 20:45Speaker 1: mean the Vanderbilt l one. The odds of it, I mean,
- 20:48Speaker 1: that's great. I love doing money line parlays because that
- 20:52Speaker 1: is does make it more of a fair playing field
- 20:54Speaker 1: and you're just like you're just picking winner loser, not
- 20:56Speaker 1: messing with these crazy odds. But you know, the you
- 21:00Speaker 1: don't get paid as much obviously with those heavy favorite
- 21:03Speaker 1: like Michigan whatever was probably what twenty point they're favorite,
- 21:08Speaker 1: heavy favorite, So when it still adds to it, it
- 21:10Speaker 1: does add to it. And that's what people don't realize.
- 21:12Speaker 1: So it is cool even though you're are it is
- 21:14Speaker 1: a nine gamer that money line, it's the way to
- 21:16Speaker 1: do it. Yeah sucked. The last game get was that
- 21:19Speaker 1: the last one to or no is finishing up at
- 21:21Speaker 1: the same time as the other one. UH twenty one
- 21:24Speaker 1: up in most eligible states, but age varies by jurisdiction,
- 21:26Speaker 1: eligibility restrictions of Plassy draft Kings dot Com slash sports
- 21:29Speaker 1: book for terms and resources. Gambling problem called one hundred
- 21:32Speaker 1: gambler in Tennessee caller text Tennessee redline eight hundred eight
- 21:35Speaker 1: eight nine eight nine in New York call eight seven
- 21:38Speaker 1: seven eight Hope and Why or text hope and Why,
- 21:40Speaker 1: which is four six seven three six nine. We're gonna
- 21:42Speaker 1: get to the tittle title. And before we get to it,
- 21:45Speaker 1: do you have Read's clips Mike that he made? Yeah?
- 21:48Speaker 1: So read with my voice? Yeah? Have you heard Read
- 21:52Speaker 1: works for me? And all capacities that the videos you
- 21:55Speaker 1: see edited? Everything reads awesome, but Read also plays music,
- 21:59Speaker 1: and so Eddie just saying, I said, Anie, what are
- 22:00Speaker 1: you seeing here? That's gonna be the jingle, No pressure,
- 22:03Speaker 1: here's the jingles read made with you're just singing on
- 22:06Speaker 1: the show Atam Stats, Adam half all your steps for
- 22:12Speaker 1: you at M stats. Wow, that's for a segment we're
- 22:17Speaker 1: do on Friday's Adam Stats. Wow. That's almost t G
- 22:19Speaker 1: I F style like that can go with a TV show.
- 22:22Speaker 1: And then here after you finish, go ahead, Adam Stats.
- 22:28Speaker 1: That's Adam Stats. He's got those stats before you do. Yeah.
- 22:37Speaker 1: So now we got to get a tittle tattle one.
- 22:39Speaker 1: I haven't thought about this much, but let me. I'm like,
- 22:40Speaker 1: I'm gonna do the tittle tattle. Do it, Hey, stay
- 22:44Speaker 1: on the same key. Don't do what I did. Just
- 22:45Speaker 1: go completely different for that ending. Okay, what kind of
- 22:51Speaker 1: vibe I one, Yeah, exactly. Okay, So let me let
- 22:54Speaker 1: me just run to kick off events. Tittle tattle kick
- 22:58Speaker 1: off kid, Okay, okay, it's kickoff CA events. Tittle tattle,
- 23:03Speaker 1: kickoff CA events. Tittle tattle. He says, questions, I answer questions.
- 23:07Speaker 1: No one says says questions. They say ask questions. Take
- 23:11Speaker 1: off Kevin's tittle tattle. I don't know by that one
- 23:14Speaker 1: interesting yeahs says questions, not ask questions, And I knew
- 23:17Speaker 1: then I messed it up. And I don't think simple
- 23:19Speaker 1: is better. Let me try how you think that? Because
- 23:21Speaker 1: that's the trend now, but I'm trying to be ahead
- 23:23Speaker 1: of the trend. It's time for the tittle tattle. It's
- 23:29Speaker 1: time for the tittle tattle. It's time for the stupidest
- 23:34Speaker 1: name ever. It's the tittle tattle with kickoff Kevin. Yeah,
- 23:40Speaker 1: can you take that and make that a thing? He said,
- 23:43Speaker 1: I'll make it work. That's beautiful. All right, Let's do
- 23:44Speaker 1: the tittle tattle next next episode though, we'll have a jingle,
- 23:48Speaker 1: all right, go ahead, it's a patient, all right. Which
- 23:50Speaker 1: kicker do you think? How the worst week one? L
- 23:52Speaker 1: s U? Or Eastern Carolina. I was watching the Eastern
- 23:56Speaker 1: Carolina game because it was on before the Arkansas game,
- 23:59Speaker 1: and they, yeah, kick the kick off back. Because of that,
- 24:03Speaker 1: I'm gonna go with the L s U kicker because
- 24:06Speaker 1: that was the final final. The Eastern Carolina had time
- 24:10Speaker 1: on the clock. He pulled it, missed it just a
- 24:13Speaker 1: straight miss, by the way. After but then they had
- 24:17Speaker 1: a chance again and they did not convert. They didn't,
- 24:20Speaker 1: you know, score the L s U kicker L that
- 24:23Speaker 1: was blocked. That's still on. That's still that's still him,
- 24:28Speaker 1: even though it's partially not. I don't know. I just
- 24:31Speaker 1: go L s U kicker, go ahead, and he blows
- 24:34Speaker 1: the whist. So he's arguing, let's go, let's mix it up.
- 24:37Speaker 1: A kick is blocked. It's no longer your fault. That's
- 24:40Speaker 1: that's not that's not true. That's the line's fault. You
- 24:43Speaker 1: let those two dudes get in there. I did my job.
- 24:46Speaker 1: That kick would have gone in. You don't know, it
- 24:47Speaker 1: wouldn't have. That's that's I'm curious about the the angle
- 24:52Speaker 1: of the kick, because sometimes it is the kicker's fault
- 24:54Speaker 1: because they kick it low. They don't, and I don't.
- 24:56Speaker 1: I didn't see the angle of the kick because I,
- 24:59Speaker 1: first of all, after he dropped, after he muffed the punt,
- 25:02Speaker 1: the L s U guy muff the pot, turn it off.
- 25:04Speaker 1: I didn't watch the fun I didn't watch the and
- 25:06Speaker 1: my buddies like turned the game back on. I'm like
- 25:07Speaker 1: what he said, Uh, it's getting crazy. And now unless
- 25:12Speaker 1: you just drove and there's one second left and they
- 25:14Speaker 1: got one, I'm like, what yard drive? And so I
- 25:17Speaker 1: turned it on and I was like, what is happening
- 25:19Speaker 1: right now? So did you happen to see Kevin if
- 25:24Speaker 1: the angle of the kick was the kicker's fault. No,
- 25:26Speaker 1: the only angle I saw it was from behind, so
- 25:27Speaker 1: I couldn't You couldn't see the trajectory of the kick,
- 25:29Speaker 1: just the guy coming through. I, Eddie, I agree with
- 25:31Speaker 1: you in principle, and I will accept that whistle. Thank you.
- 25:33Speaker 1: I still put it on him because that was the
- 25:37Speaker 1: final play of the game. He's got, he's got talked
- 25:40Speaker 1: to us lying better. Boy, I need you. I mean
- 25:42Speaker 1: that that was a hard way to lose, dude, I
- 25:44Speaker 1: mean a really hard way to lose. And you're right
- 25:46Speaker 1: sometimes it is the line's fault and that situation though,
- 25:49Speaker 1: it's hard to block those kicks with any sort of line,
- 25:52Speaker 1: any sort of line play at all. It's almost most
- 25:56Speaker 1: times an angle play, Dude. That Eastern Carolina kick though, Man,
- 26:00Speaker 1: that's that happens. Brutal. Alright, tittal talent, next question. All right.
- 26:05Speaker 1: They announced that the college football Playoff will expand to
- 26:07Speaker 1: twelve teams. We saw the other night Number three Georgia
- 26:10Speaker 1: beat the crap out of Oregon number eleven. Do you
- 26:12Speaker 1: think this is kind of the foreshadowing for what we
- 26:14Speaker 1: might see when that comes through in Yeah, and I'm
- 26:18Speaker 1: okay with that samething in basketball. I mean, although there
- 26:20Speaker 1: are more teams, there are weapons for the first couple
- 26:21Speaker 1: of rounds, but we get to finally shut up this
- 26:26Speaker 1: one or two little school who was like, we went
- 26:28Speaker 1: on to fee dude, we want to be in. Okay, cool,
- 26:30Speaker 1: Well come on come on in. Yeah, here's here and
- 26:34Speaker 1: here it is, and so so we don't want to
- 26:36Speaker 1: hear you the rest of the year. And maybe you
- 26:37Speaker 1: prove us wrong, but yeah, the first rounds will probably
- 26:40Speaker 1: be a bit more lopsided for sure. So yes, my
- 26:43Speaker 1: answer is gonna be yes. But we get to shut
- 26:45Speaker 1: up some napping poodles as well, And I think, to me,
- 26:48Speaker 1: that's better for college football. I don't want to have
- 26:51Speaker 1: to hear them fan bases. Yeah, just shut up. I
- 26:53Speaker 1: don't want to hear about it all through the playoffs
- 26:56Speaker 1: all through the next season. I know, you CEF you're undefeated,
- 26:59Speaker 1: you get to put up a national championship in your stadium.
- 27:03Speaker 1: Not that didn't happen this last year, but it happened prior,
- 27:06Speaker 1: so um, yes, it will happen, but I'm pumped about it.
- 27:09Speaker 1: I think going to twelve is awesome and people are like, well,
- 27:12Speaker 1: lessens to games in the middle of the No, it
- 27:15Speaker 1: actually allows a team to lose once, maybe even twice,
- 27:18Speaker 1: and still have a shot to play well and still win.
- 27:22Speaker 1: So I'm totally for it. It's money play. It's a
- 27:25Speaker 1: money play for more big games, more money, and more
- 27:28Speaker 1: teams actually have a chance to laugh. I love it.
- 27:31Speaker 1: I love more. I love the NBA having the chance
- 27:34Speaker 1: for other teams to get in late when they have
- 27:37Speaker 1: to play in I love baseball having I love it
- 27:40Speaker 1: Hey play the whole season and just seed everybody based
- 27:42Speaker 1: on the season and have a hunter team tournament. I'd
- 27:45Speaker 1: be up for that. That's it, Let's go all right,
- 27:49Speaker 1: what else? Alright? Notre Dame played uh, pretty tough against
- 27:51Speaker 1: the how State the other night. They did lose. Do
- 27:53Speaker 1: you think this proves that they belong in the top ten,
- 27:55Speaker 1: Notre Dame that is, or they just Notre Dame having
- 27:57Speaker 1: another disappointing loss. I don't think it. I'm I don't know.
- 28:02Speaker 1: I'll watch the game. I don't know how I feel
- 28:03Speaker 1: about it because it's either two really good teams who
- 28:06Speaker 1: kind of battled it out and Notre Dame laws because
- 28:08Speaker 1: they're not quite as good, or two teams are a
- 28:10Speaker 1: bit overrated and just played each other. They're both they're
- 28:13Speaker 1: both good. But if they're equal good but they're both mediocre,
- 28:17Speaker 1: they both look good. I don't know. I think last
- 28:22Speaker 1: year c J. Stroud had some wide receivers that helped
- 28:26Speaker 1: him be amazing. I think he's a really great quarterback.
- 28:31Speaker 1: But when you got the firepower he had last year,
- 28:33Speaker 1: it's a little easier to be a really great quarterback. Um.
- 28:36Speaker 1: I think Ohio State is a really good team. I
- 28:39Speaker 1: think Notre Dames are fine, pretty good team, but I
- 28:41Speaker 1: don't know yet because they haven't played anybody else and
- 28:43Speaker 1: you know it, oh it doesn't play a lot of
- 28:47Speaker 1: great that they'll have a couple real challenges, but it's
- 28:50Speaker 1: not like they have got a schedule either of just
- 28:53Speaker 1: snipers looking to take them out. Um, but I don't
- 28:56Speaker 1: think Notre Dames in the top ten. Now, what else?
- 28:59Speaker 1: All right? After brutal loss in Week zero and struggling
- 29:02Speaker 1: in Week one against North Dakota, do you think Scott
- 29:04Speaker 1: Frost that Nebraska will make it through this season, and
- 29:07Speaker 1: I hope he I hope he has a great year.
- 29:10Speaker 1: He's not going to it's not going to be great
- 29:13Speaker 1: because of that loss, and he has not performed up
- 29:15Speaker 1: to expectations. I love when, like the Disney story of
- 29:19Speaker 1: a team's guy comes back and coaches the team. That's
- 29:22Speaker 1: why rooted for Scott Frost. You get no more in
- 29:23Speaker 1: Nebraska and Scott Frost. I love that he's an He's
- 29:26Speaker 1: a Nebraska guy. I hope he's able to He's going
- 29:31Speaker 1: to have to have a tremendous season to keep his job.
- 29:34Speaker 1: I think he can keep his job if somehow they
- 29:36Speaker 1: play out of their shoes the rest of the year.
- 29:38Speaker 1: But if he has a if he has a pretty
- 29:40Speaker 1: good season, I think I think he still goes. I
- 29:44Speaker 1: that's tough. That that's tough. They don't want to get
- 29:46Speaker 1: rid of them. They lose to Oh they won this week,
- 29:52Speaker 1: didn't look great, got it? Yeah? I like Scott Frost.
- 29:55Speaker 1: I like, you know, I want to go back to
- 29:58Speaker 1: be the governor of arkans I want to be the
- 30:00Speaker 1: I right, it comes back to take us home and
- 30:02Speaker 1: take them to the next level. So I hope he
- 30:04Speaker 1: does well, but he's gonna have to really get close
- 30:06Speaker 1: to winning a conference championship, which may not happen. Okay,
- 30:09Speaker 1: final one here. Alabama and Georgia both had blow out
- 30:12Speaker 1: wins this weekend. Are we kind of in the inevitable
- 30:15Speaker 1: showdown of the SEC championship between these two teams at
- 30:17Speaker 1: the end of the year. Probably, But and I don't
- 30:21Speaker 1: And you can blow the whistle if you want, Eddie,
- 30:22Speaker 1: I don't care. Probably, But I think that the SEC
- 30:28Speaker 1: their second tier of teams. There's enough teams that are
- 30:33Speaker 1: pretty good. They're really good. They aren't quite as good
- 30:35Speaker 1: as those two, but there's enough of them that one
- 30:38Speaker 1: of those schools could slip up and possibly I don't
- 30:41Speaker 1: think they will, but could possibly lose. The SEC has
- 30:46Speaker 1: more teams that could fluke out and beat them this year. Kentucky, Arkansas, Tennessee.
- 30:53Speaker 1: I don't know about South Carolina. Rattler didn't play. Grady
- 30:55Speaker 1: played fine this way. I was really anxious to watch
- 30:57Speaker 1: him play. Yes, the answers to be yes, But I
- 31:02Speaker 1: think like a Texas, A and M could maybe beat
- 31:05Speaker 1: Alabama this year if they play right. Arkansas can maybe
- 31:07Speaker 1: beat Alabama this year. But probably, Yes, I'm not blowing
- 31:12Speaker 1: the whistle on that. I agree with you, Okay, all right,
- 31:14Speaker 1: I do. I appreciate that whistle blow though. Yeah, yeah,
- 31:16Speaker 1: I love it. Hey, if you say something I don't like,
- 31:18Speaker 1: I'm gonna blow the whistle. All right? Is that it
- 31:22Speaker 1: all right? That is by the way, the college football playoffs,
- 31:28Speaker 1: it just kind of came out of nowhere. Yeah, I know,
- 31:31Speaker 1: Like I was like, was there a meeting I don't
- 31:32Speaker 1: know about because they had had the meetings and they
- 31:36Speaker 1: decided they were gonna walk away from it. There was
- 31:37Speaker 1: gonna be no playoff. You remember that, like three weeks ago.
- 31:39Speaker 1: I was gonna say, there's only during yeah, and then
- 31:41Speaker 1: but no, no, no, no, no. I get a headline
- 31:44Speaker 1: They've towl football playoffs happening, and I'm like, wait, I
- 31:46Speaker 1: thought they canceled all meetings. So they go in. They
- 31:51Speaker 1: in at the latest. But what they're saying is if
- 31:56Speaker 1: they can get the rules, all of the micro rules,
- 32:01Speaker 1: not the macro, they will have it next year. Now
- 32:04Speaker 1: Thanky as c commissioner goes, he doesn't see how that's
- 32:06Speaker 1: gonna happen, But everybody else's like, yeah, work, we'll get
- 32:11Speaker 1: it done. So they have left it open for it
- 32:13Speaker 1: to be a two thousand four thing sorr. But by
- 32:18Speaker 1: we'll have a twelve team playoff. I can't wait. I
- 32:21Speaker 1: think it's amazing, especially for a school like mine, who
- 32:24Speaker 1: is not going to go in defeated for the most part.
- 32:26Speaker 1: And maybe maybe we can lose one or two and
- 32:28Speaker 1: get in. Is it nine or ten? That'd be cool,
- 32:30Speaker 1: that'd be awesome. Um, all right, I want to do
- 32:33Speaker 1: the day of the week or dang. Oh. He could
- 32:38Speaker 1: go either way, So we've put it out there. It's
- 32:42Speaker 1: called the Dang of the Week. It can be dang
- 32:46Speaker 1: or it can be dang, Right, Eddie, who's your Dang
- 32:48Speaker 1: of the week? Well, my Dang of the week is Giselle.
- 32:52Speaker 1: I mean, what do we got with Giselle going on?
- 32:53Speaker 1: I'm doing. I'm this is crazy, this Tom Brady Giselle thing, Like,
- 32:59Speaker 1: is this nut? And I was trying to talk to
- 33:01Speaker 1: my wife about it yesterday. I'm like, you gotta understand
- 33:04Speaker 1: if this is all true that that Tom said I'm
- 33:06Speaker 1: retiring and they made this agreement. Okay, you're gonna retire. Great,
- 33:10Speaker 1: And then out of no where, Tom was you know what, no, no, no,
- 33:12Speaker 1: I changed my mind. I'm gonna go back to playing football.
- 33:14Speaker 1: And she said, no, you're not because I know Latina girls. Bones,
- 33:16Speaker 1: I'm Latino, and when Latina goes no, you're not, you're
- 33:19Speaker 1: not retiring, Tom Brady. You're gonna go. You're gonna sit
- 33:22Speaker 1: right here here at home and be a mom. Whey
- 33:25Speaker 1: can't jump. But because she's Brazilian, I don't know if
- 33:28Speaker 1: that's how she talks about But I'm thinking this is
- 33:32Speaker 1: just crazy and Tom is out of his mind by
- 33:35Speaker 1: thinking he's gonna get his way at the end of
- 33:36Speaker 1: the day. Uh. I think mentally this is gonna screw
- 33:39Speaker 1: with Tom Brady's head. There goes the buck season. This
- 33:42Speaker 1: is just terrible. That's why I left for ten days.
- 33:44Speaker 1: Now it all makes sense. Head. Yes, hey, Bones, you've
- 33:49Speaker 1: been married for over a year. Now, what if I
- 33:51Speaker 1: always told you happy wife? Come on, I'm filling the
- 33:58Speaker 1: boy and I agree. But Tom Brady is the greatest
- 34:01Speaker 1: of all time because he thinks, phils, reacts and acts
- 34:05Speaker 1: different than most folks. Um. Yeah, but that's again why
- 34:08Speaker 1: he left training camp for ten days to go handle
- 34:11Speaker 1: that situation. I hear they're not even living together right now. Right, Um, hey, dang, dang,
- 34:19Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying Kevin, What's your Dang of
- 34:21Speaker 1: the week was dang because Universe of Arizona was playing
- 34:26Speaker 1: uh San Diego State and the punter was backed up
- 34:29Speaker 1: against the back of the end zone. They're putting out
- 34:30Speaker 1: of his own end zone, and he kicked it right
- 34:34Speaker 1: into the back of his lineman's arm. So I'm like, dang.
- 34:39Speaker 1: You know what, there are many you know, sometimes people
- 34:41Speaker 1: go there all these versions of the F word, and
- 34:43Speaker 1: I mean, I think dang means that too, because Eddie's
- 34:45Speaker 1: is like dang, and You're just like dang, dang, dang, dang.
- 34:50Speaker 1: It was on the putter. He should have just taken
- 34:52Speaker 1: one step. He took two, like two to three, right
- 34:54Speaker 1: into the lineman's arm. In the lineman nothing he can
- 34:56Speaker 1: do about that. Yeah, that dang dang dang. My Dang
- 35:00Speaker 1: of the Week goes to Texas quarterback Corners. Oh that's
- 35:04Speaker 1: a good ding. No. Oh his car got towed during
- 35:07Speaker 1: the game. What he tweeted out, I got my car
- 35:12Speaker 1: to where did you part? I don't know. It's quarterback
- 35:19Speaker 1: here now. It's like you're playing your game. You went dang.
- 35:22Speaker 1: You know, when your car gets told, you can't say
- 35:24Speaker 1: anything but dang, Like like Dang dang. I was literally playing,
- 35:29Speaker 1: so he is my dang of the week. Hey, Kevin,
- 35:34Speaker 1: make up a jingle for the day of the week.
- 35:36Speaker 1: Come on, Kevin, you got this? It could be whatever
- 35:39Speaker 1: you got alright, can Kevin sing? No? I mean I
- 35:41Speaker 1: can have to find out. I like her head that though,
- 35:47Speaker 1: like your alright, it's the dang of the week, right, alright,
- 35:51Speaker 1: this is alright, this is the dang Dang Dang of
- 35:57Speaker 1: the week. Boy's good, you have different day. We're gonna
- 36:03Speaker 1: have a whole arsenal of terrible jingles that read, is
- 36:09Speaker 1: just sitting at home making all this music for Like,
- 36:11Speaker 1: the jingles are gonna be awesome that you're doing, but
- 36:13Speaker 1: ours are so bad that you're having to make them up. Read,
- 36:15Speaker 1: we feel bad for you. All right, that's the day
- 36:17Speaker 1: of the week. DraftKings. If you're a football fan like myself,

- 37:36Speaker 1: this is still on the podcast. We can leave this
- 37:38Speaker 1: into Matt Jones. We want to put this on this
- 37:40Speaker 1: one talking about the Florida game for next week or
- 37:42Speaker 1: do you want to put it on Friday? Because on
- 37:43Speaker 1: Friday show, we're gonna have Dan. Now Ricky won't be
- 37:48Speaker 1: next week, Okay for next week, Yeah, we're gonna we're
- 37:51Speaker 1: Dan Mullin, the head coach from Mississippi State in Florida. Um,
- 37:56Speaker 1: well I got fired last year but yes, still all right,
- 38:00Speaker 1: but he's now, but he's gonna be on Wednesday. We're
- 38:03Speaker 1: gonna record a Wednesday with him for Friday's show. So
- 38:06Speaker 1: it depends if you want to on Friday or not.
- 38:08Speaker 1: Why don't we put the Matt one on this talking
- 38:10Speaker 1: about the Florida and oh Will Leaves who by the way,
- 38:15Speaker 1: his names will love us, but we'll leave Eisman. That's
- 38:17Speaker 1: what I would change my name to, like Joe Tisman.
- 38:19Speaker 1: And I mentioned that to Matt. He's like change his name.
- 38:21Speaker 1: So yeah, Joe Tisman wasn't Joe Tisman until he was
- 38:24Speaker 1: trying to get the heisman. They changed his name. Are
- 38:26Speaker 1: you serious? Yeah, you didn't know that. I didn't know that.
- 38:29Speaker 1: That's an n I l D waiting to happen, Mike.
- 38:31Speaker 1: When you see with Joe Tisman's how they said his name, well,
- 38:35Speaker 1: hold on, I think his name was still close to that, yes,
- 38:38Speaker 1: or even exactly something. Oh yeah, that would make sense. No,
- 38:45Speaker 1: he's going for the heisman, change it or we demand
- 38:48Speaker 1: you change the heisman. Okay, yeah, but they changed it.
- 38:51Speaker 1: Just what Ryan with heisman? Um? So yeah, Well, we'll
- 38:55Speaker 1: talk to Matt Jones coming up in a second after
- 39:00Speaker 1: talking about the games this weekend we have. We'll do
- 39:01Speaker 1: five minutes of game talk and then we'll get with
- 39:03Speaker 1: Matt Jones talking about the Florida Kentucky game next week
- 39:07Speaker 1: the weekend and review. We mentioned the LSU game a
- 39:10Speaker 1: little bit again. I watched the muff punt and that
- 39:13Speaker 1: turned it off, and I turned it back on with
- 39:15Speaker 1: one second left, and by the way, great past, great catch,
- 39:19Speaker 1: clutch on both and then the extra point was blocked.
- 39:24Speaker 1: I couldn't should they have gone for two? Do you
- 39:26Speaker 1: think at all, I would not go for two. Okay,
- 39:30Speaker 1: so they were at home, right So no, if I'm
- 39:33Speaker 1: on the road there, I'm trying to end the game
- 39:35Speaker 1: right now. If I'm at home, I'm trying to extend
- 39:37Speaker 1: the game and go win it over time because I
- 39:39Speaker 1: got the crowd with me. In hindsight, sure, because that
- 39:44Speaker 1: general rule is loud environment, you're on the road, you
- 39:50Speaker 1: go for to and try to end it there. Less
- 39:52Speaker 1: time on the field, better odds for you. So no,
- 39:55Speaker 1: I wouldn't have and you have that momentum going into
- 39:57Speaker 1: overtime like yeah. So yeah, that's that's a tough one.
- 40:02Speaker 1: The only SEC loss. So there's that. The Arkansas game
- 40:09Speaker 1: arksas Cincinnati a pretty good game in Cincinnati's quarterback although, uh,
- 40:14Speaker 1: you know the new quarterback he was really good last
- 40:17Speaker 1: year at the school he came and he was like
- 40:18Speaker 1: a three thousand yard passer transfer. So but yes, Cincinnati
- 40:25Speaker 1: a little bigger, a little faster than maybe I expected
- 40:28Speaker 1: them to be. Overall, they were physical to They did
- 40:30Speaker 1: lose a few guys, but yeah, they were they were tough.
- 40:33Speaker 1: They missed a few easy passes, thank god. Um, but
- 40:37Speaker 1: we played pretty good, um you know, and especially looking
- 40:40Speaker 1: at the Heisman. I'm gonna read you here quickly. Here's
- 40:44Speaker 1: the my top five right now. Who I think alright
- 40:47Speaker 1: for the Heisman? Number one and number one A one,
- 40:49Speaker 1: b R. C J. Stroud and Bryce Young. They both
- 40:51Speaker 1: didn't They both didn't lose. CT won a big game
- 40:54Speaker 1: and Notre Dame Bryce Young. They killed Utah States. So
- 40:57Speaker 1: they're still at one. At two just right now this week,
- 41:00Speaker 1: I'm putting Anthony Richardson because he has so much shine
- 41:02Speaker 1: from that game they beat number seven. He's got plays
- 41:04Speaker 1: that are going viral, that play where he like ducks turns.
- 41:09Speaker 1: I'm putting him at two right now at three. Caleb
- 41:11Speaker 1: Williams at USC. People are intrigued by USC being a
- 41:16Speaker 1: power again. Caleb Williams played pretty well, I did. He
- 41:20Speaker 1: had two touchdowns, two fifty yards. He rushed for like
- 41:22Speaker 1: sixty five yards. Um will Anderson at Alabama. He didn't
- 41:27Speaker 1: really do anything spectacular on the stat line. Three tackles,
- 41:29Speaker 1: one for a loss. He's gonna need a couple of
- 41:32Speaker 1: big games and big plays that are viral ish. And
- 41:36Speaker 1: then and yeah, and they're twenty point favorite right now,
- 41:40Speaker 1: that much. And and then Bjean Robinson of Texas. He
- 41:43Speaker 1: was a hundred and eleven yards and two touchdowns. Right,
- 41:45Speaker 1: So that's the top five. But listen to this Arkansas quarterback.
- 41:50Speaker 1: You can play the bias alarm if you want. K J.
- 41:54Speaker 1: Jefferson through for two three and three touchdowns and rushed
- 41:58Speaker 1: for sixty two and one touchdown. His stat line is
- 42:01Speaker 1: as good as anybody anybody else is against a good,
- 42:04Speaker 1: top team. The fact that he's not in the mix
- 42:07Speaker 1: here pisses me off. You're right, his performance was good.
- 42:12Speaker 1: I worry about him, but it's like he I feel
- 42:14Speaker 1: like every game he looks like he's gonna get hurt
- 42:17Speaker 1: and it looks like it's like okay, but every game
- 42:19Speaker 1: he doesn't. But well, he he gets up shaky and
- 42:21Speaker 1: he's like, oh I can't feel my arm, oh my
- 42:23Speaker 1: legs falling off, like and then he just comes back
- 42:25Speaker 1: and plays normal again. So I don't know if he's
- 42:27Speaker 1: tricking me every time or if I'm really just like dude,
- 42:30Speaker 1: I don't know. They got to protect him more. But
- 42:32Speaker 1: he goes for these runs, which is like really good,
- 42:34Speaker 1: and he's really good at scrambling with the ball and
- 42:36Speaker 1: he's not even a scrambler for he's not a run
- 42:38Speaker 1: first guy, but he's big, dude, sucking chunk. My only
- 42:42Speaker 1: point was he has the stat line. They always listened
- 42:46Speaker 1: in the top three two or three quarterbacks in the SEC.
- 42:48Speaker 1: He has the stat line this week number one. If
- 42:50Speaker 1: he does it again in South Carolina put him on there,
- 42:53Speaker 1: it's gonna be he's gonna have to pop up in
- 42:55Speaker 1: that list or she's wondering. All right, Uh, Georgia krus
- 43:01Speaker 1: that game, but out of hand quick, it was never
- 43:03Speaker 1: even a game. I was watching on the line never again.
- 43:06Speaker 1: Oh wow, they're oh, oh oh god, And I just thought, yeah,
- 43:09Speaker 1: I was like, oh they covered. Yeah, I watched that.
- 43:11Speaker 1: It's embarrassing for again, that's embarrassing for the Pack twelve. Yeah.
- 43:14Speaker 1: I was watching with my sister who goes at UO,
- 43:16Speaker 1: and she was just she was second quarter, She's like,
- 43:19Speaker 1: turned it off. Notre Dame loss. I don't really know
- 43:22Speaker 1: what to think about that game yet because I don't
- 43:23Speaker 1: know what to think about how to state they lost.
- 43:25Speaker 1: They had it, so it was a good game, and
- 43:28Speaker 1: I think, you know, that Ohio State comeback was exciting,
- 43:30Speaker 1: you know, but I felt like they were pretty even
- 43:34Speaker 1: going into the game. Towards the end of the game,
- 43:37Speaker 1: you realize Ohio States just the better team. Well, Eddie
- 43:39Speaker 1: did call me and go, hey, Ohio State, it's only
- 43:41Speaker 1: like a five point. They don't have to give about
- 43:44Speaker 1: five points, right, because I mean they went from seventeen
- 43:45Speaker 1: to five. Eddie called and was like, I'm loading up.
- 43:47Speaker 1: You probably should too, and I was like, oh I didn't. Okay,
- 43:51Speaker 1: that's so I did. And then we hit We hit it,
- 43:53Speaker 1: and then he told me you're responsible if I don't
- 43:55Speaker 1: hit this. I wasn't going to want the money bag.
- 44:00Speaker 1: But if you ever call your boy and go like,
- 44:01Speaker 1: you gotta put money down, I wouldn't have even jumped
- 44:04Speaker 1: on it. And if I had lost it, I've been like,
- 44:05Speaker 1: I wouldn't even bet this except for you. But I'm
- 44:07Speaker 1: not giving you the opposite. I wouldn't have hit that
- 44:09Speaker 1: without you. As soon as I texted you and you
- 44:12Speaker 1: said you were going to place the bed, I'm like, oh,
- 44:13Speaker 1: now there's more stress on my I couldn't even enjoy
- 44:15Speaker 1: the rest of the game. You want one person attack.
- 44:20Speaker 1: Oklahoma looked really good, although they should have, but they
- 44:24Speaker 1: still look strong usc huge one over Rice. We mentioned
- 44:27Speaker 1: Caleb Williams. They're gonna be good. Florida and Utah. Anthony
- 44:30Speaker 1: Richardson right now is the shiniest of all shiny things.
- 44:34Speaker 1: And we'll see how he does against Kentucky. We'll talk
- 44:36Speaker 1: to Matt Jones in a second. And the only other
- 44:37Speaker 1: game I wanted to mention was Iowa and San Diego State.
- 44:41Speaker 1: Our South Dakota State is using in South Dkota State.
- 44:43Speaker 1: It was five to three and the fourth it's five
- 44:46Speaker 1: to three, a fill goal? What it was? It's like
- 44:51Speaker 1: four minutes left in the fourth quarter, it was five.
- 44:55Speaker 1: Iowa got a safety, kicked a fill goal. South Dakota
- 44:59Speaker 1: State had a field goal five to three. Then they
- 45:02Speaker 1: got another safety which made it seven to three. Wow,
- 45:06Speaker 1: is great? Is bizarre? Did you watch that game? I
- 45:08Speaker 1: went to the game because I thought the score was wrong,
- 45:11Speaker 1: Like I gotta see this for myself. So I was
- 45:14Speaker 1: not not a great look, but hilarious five at three
- 45:17Speaker 1: into five three because it looked even funnier um any game.
- 45:20Speaker 1: Note you want to mention their kickoff Kevin Uh, just
- 45:23Speaker 1: that I didn't ben it with Georgia's real quick he
- 45:26Speaker 1: looked phenomenal. He should be in the Heisman. Talk to
- 45:29Speaker 1: if they do this a couple more times. Yeah, I've
- 45:31Speaker 1: never seen him look more confident, like he's out the
- 45:33Speaker 1: proof people he can still do it even after all
- 45:34Speaker 1: that doubt last year and win in the championship. But
- 45:36Speaker 1: that that was kind of my biggest takeaway from the weekend,
- 45:38Speaker 1: just how good he looked. And I think confidence a
- 45:41Speaker 1: big part of it, because remember he didn't start all
- 45:43Speaker 1: season last year. He's in and out and so yeah,
- 45:46Speaker 1: I agree at anything. I'm just kind of bummed that
- 45:49Speaker 1: I can't watch the Texas game whenever they're on you
- 45:51Speaker 1: know what, A Longhorn Network, because I mean I want to.
- 45:54Speaker 1: I really want to see what they're all about. I
- 45:55Speaker 1: want to see this new quarterback. I want to see
- 45:57Speaker 1: this running back. I want to see how they are.
- 45:59Speaker 1: But then I'm is watching like yeahoo sports or whatever,
- 46:01Speaker 1: and like seeing the little football go down the line,
- 46:04Speaker 1: I'm like, I hate it. I can't stand it. Well,
- 46:05Speaker 1: you should be able to watch Alabama Texas next week.
- 46:08Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I can't wait for that, dude. Okay, we're
- 46:10Speaker 1: gonna go to Matt Jones right on now with Kentucky
- 46:13Speaker 1: Sports radio and national ESPN host Matt Jones. Who is
- 46:17Speaker 1: in his car? Where you going? Matt Jones? I am
- 46:19Speaker 1: driving to Louisville for a day off and great to
- 46:23Speaker 1: be with you there, Mr big Shot in his new
- 46:26Speaker 1: sports podcast. Yeah, I'm a real big shot leving people
- 46:30Speaker 1: listen to this. Um so, Matt Jones is a Kentucky expert,
- 46:34Speaker 1: but he's also again, you're so good on ESPN And
- 46:37Speaker 1: I like to say that because it makes me sound
- 46:39Speaker 1: cooler that have a friend that's on a national national
- 46:41Speaker 1: radio show. So thanks for making me feel cooler. Yeah,
- 46:44Speaker 1: you don't have any friends that are famous at all,
- 46:46Speaker 1: So how in the world is really the person that
- 46:50Speaker 1: you know that is the biggest star? So I mean,
- 46:53Speaker 1: tell Garth Brooks to back off, you know, the hosted
- 46:56Speaker 1: on Sunday Morning ESPN show. Amen to that brother, heard
- 46:59Speaker 1: everything he's and I agree, uh to bring you on
- 47:02Speaker 1: because this Kentucky Florida game is very interesting to me
- 47:05Speaker 1: because I guess until this Florida Utah game, everybody thought
- 47:10Speaker 1: Florida was pretty terrible, and then we knew they had
- 47:13Speaker 1: a good quarterback possibly although he hadn't played that much.
- 47:16Speaker 1: But now here you go going into this game and
- 47:19Speaker 1: Florida is now the favorite. What do you think about
- 47:21Speaker 1: this game coming up? Well? I still think I don't
- 47:23Speaker 1: think they're terrible, but I still don't necessarily think they're great.
- 47:26Speaker 1: I mean, I think the PAC twelve sucks, and I mean, look,
- 47:29Speaker 1: all you gotta do is see the preview of the season.
- 47:31Speaker 1: People thought it was a three way race between Utah,
- 47:34Speaker 1: Southern cal and Oregon. Well, Oregon lost forty three to Georgia,
- 47:38Speaker 1: and George is really good, but three is how they'll beat,
- 47:43Speaker 1: you know, Murray State. So I I think Florida is
- 47:47Speaker 1: probably still what I always thought they were. There's about
- 47:50Speaker 1: six teams in the SEC, Arkansas, Old miss Kentucky, Tennessee, Florida,
- 47:55Speaker 1: South Carolina. I think you could put them on a
- 47:57Speaker 1: pot and at the end of the year they might
- 48:00Speaker 1: be in any order in Mississippi State seven teams, and
- 48:03Speaker 1: I'm not exactly sure what that final order is gonna be.
- 48:06Speaker 1: So I think Saturday, you got South Carolina, Arkansas, you
- 48:09Speaker 1: got Kentucky. Florida. Will have a better sense of what
- 48:11Speaker 1: the middle of the SEC looks like after that week.
- 48:14Speaker 1: Were you surprised though? And again we're recording this a
- 48:16Speaker 1: couple of days before the game, because when I looked
- 48:18Speaker 1: at the line on DraftKings, it was Florida was a
- 48:23Speaker 1: four and a half point favorite now had they not
- 48:27Speaker 1: beat Utah, And obviously that's a massive part of it,
- 48:29Speaker 1: and obviously now they have a Heisman Trophy candidate here.
- 48:34Speaker 1: But I just would have thought Kentucky had been like
- 48:36Speaker 1: an eight or nine point favorite. Yeah, I would. I
- 48:39Speaker 1: wouldn't have. I I thought I felt Florida before Utah.
- 48:42Speaker 1: I mean right now, A lot of books, I mean,
- 48:45Speaker 1: Draft Kings would be the only book I would use,
- 48:47Speaker 1: absolutely less intelligent books. That line is up to about
- 48:51Speaker 1: six and a half or seven. I would have thought
- 48:53Speaker 1: it would have been two and a half or three
- 48:55Speaker 1: before the Utah game. Probably got up to six and
- 48:58Speaker 1: a half or seven. I think that's too much of mean.
- 49:00Speaker 1: I I would say, I'm not sure Kentucky is gonna win,
- 49:03Speaker 1: but I would bet Kentucky to cover if I were picking.
- 49:07Speaker 1: The biggest thing you can do in college football game lad.
- 49:10Speaker 1: Over the course of my lifetime sports gambling, I'm not
- 49:14Speaker 1: great at it, but I'm pretty good at college football
- 49:16Speaker 1: and horse race. And the biggest lesson of college football
- 49:19Speaker 1: is in week two, take whatever happened in Week one
- 49:23Speaker 1: and try to put it out of your mind. Because
- 49:25Speaker 1: Vegas and betting public puts way too much stock in
- 49:29Speaker 1: the first week. So if you thought Kentucky would beat
- 49:33Speaker 1: Florida the beginning of the year, I don't think there's
- 49:35Speaker 1: any reason not to think that. Now. If you thought
- 49:37Speaker 1: Florida would win, that's fine. But I think people put
- 49:40Speaker 1: way too much stock in what happens in a game.
- 49:43Speaker 1: There will be another game all season that coaches prepare
- 49:46Speaker 1: for like they do week one. So I think Kentucky
- 49:49Speaker 1: is still I would say Florida is a slight favorite,
- 49:52Speaker 1: but Kentucky can easily still win the game. I think
- 49:54Speaker 1: Kentucky wins the game. I thought Kentucky win the game before.
- 49:57Speaker 1: I think, and I said on this show last week,
- 49:59Speaker 1: I'll Florida was going to beat Utah, but I think Kentucky.
- 50:03Speaker 1: I think they have a good enough quarterback. I think
- 50:05Speaker 1: Will Levi's is almost as good. Yes, I can heat
- 50:09Speaker 1: mayonnaise in his coffee. He does a lot of weird things,
- 50:12Speaker 1: so I'm gonna call him Will Levi's. That's what. Then
- 50:14Speaker 1: they got to give him an an I L deal.
- 50:16Speaker 1: If you're gonna do that, I don't know why Levis
- 50:18Speaker 1: hasn't done that. I would have if I was Levi jeans.
- 50:21Speaker 1: I would have done that and then made him pronounce
- 50:24Speaker 1: the name like Joe Eisman. That's what that That's what
- 50:26Speaker 1: they did. Joe Eisman changed it for the Heisman Trophy.
- 50:28Speaker 1: That's what I would have done. I'd be I'd have
- 50:29Speaker 1: been Will Levis. That's what I call him. He's a
- 50:31Speaker 1: guy that listen, good looking guy, good quarterback there popping
- 50:36Speaker 1: him in the top five or six quarterbacks could be
- 50:38Speaker 1: drafted this next year, and I think he's being discredited
- 50:41Speaker 1: a bit or not given enough credit when it comes
- 50:43Speaker 1: to how good of a quarterback he is, especially when
- 50:45Speaker 1: they play a team like Florida. Well, I think that's
- 50:47Speaker 1: to me if you're not a Kentucky or Florida fan.
- 50:50Speaker 1: The big story about the game this weekend is most
- 50:53Speaker 1: NFL scouts believe Bryce Young and c J. Stroud will
- 50:55Speaker 1: go one too in the draft and quarterbacks, but if
- 50:58Speaker 1: there's the third third, this may be the game that
- 51:01Speaker 1: decides who goes third. I mean, you've got two of
- 51:04Speaker 1: the three probably best contenders to be the third quarterback
- 51:07Speaker 1: taken playing head to head against each other. Todd mcshaye
- 51:10Speaker 1: said recently he thinks there will be an NFL scout
- 51:13Speaker 1: literally from every team at that game Saturday, and they're
- 51:17Speaker 1: basically gonna look at these two guys and say, I'm
- 51:19Speaker 1: will see them both on the field, Let's see which
- 51:21Speaker 1: one is better. So is a money making game for
- 51:23Speaker 1: both those dudes. And I think that's gonna tell you
- 51:26Speaker 1: a lot as well. Who can rise up to that,
- 51:29Speaker 1: you know, pressure? Because for those two kids, yeah, it's
- 51:33Speaker 1: a huge game for their teams, But for those two kids,
- 51:36Speaker 1: is a multimillion dollar football game Saturday night. Who would
- 51:40Speaker 1: you take it? Those two quarterbacks in college Richardson and
- 51:42Speaker 1: the pros Levis? But oh yeah, draft so Levis is
- 51:45Speaker 1: the pay So if you're drafting a team, you're taking
- 51:47Speaker 1: Levice of his third because I think Levis's arm strength
- 51:51Speaker 1: is just kind of on another level. To me, Levis
- 51:54Speaker 1: is Josh Allen again, which is Josh Allen was better,
- 51:57Speaker 1: is better in the pros than he was at Why
- 51:59Speaker 1: only I think Levison And I think Levi is really
- 52:02Speaker 1: good in college, but I think he's gonna be an
- 52:04Speaker 1: even better pro. Well, you'll be happy to know that
- 52:06Speaker 1: I simulated the three draft on Madden and I think
- 52:10Speaker 1: he went number seventeen overall. And when I had Richardson. Yeah,
- 52:13Speaker 1: and that's what I think it should be. I mean, look,
- 52:14Speaker 1: Richardson I think has a lot of potential as well.
- 52:17Speaker 1: But Richardson is is is Taylor made for college offenses.
- 52:21Speaker 1: Unlike say Lamar Richardson, I'd be worried is r G three.
- 52:28Speaker 1: Whereas Lamar had arms strength. People always acted like he
- 52:31Speaker 1: didn't have great arms strength. He could throw it at
- 52:34Speaker 1: eighty yards. It was an unbelievable in college. So but
- 52:37Speaker 1: we'll say, listen, Richardson might end up being a great pro.
- 52:40Speaker 1: But if you ask me who to bet on, I
- 52:42Speaker 1: would take Levis again Homer Alert. But you know who
- 52:45Speaker 1: played better than both of those quarterbacks against probably a
- 52:48Speaker 1: tougher team is K J. Jefferson from Arkansas. I had
- 52:51Speaker 1: four touchdowns, two hundred sixty yards in the air, basically
- 52:54Speaker 1: seventy yards rushing. His name I hadn't even mentioned in this.
- 52:56Speaker 1: I think he's better than both of them out of pro.
- 52:58Speaker 1: I mean, he's a good player, but he's not what's
- 53:00Speaker 1: not throw he throws as good as Levi's li Sen.
- 53:05Speaker 1: First of all, slow down with how good Cincinnati is.
- 53:09Speaker 1: Cincinnati may end up having a good year, but it
- 53:11Speaker 1: is hard for a team like Cincinnati to lose three
- 53:15Speaker 1: dudes draft in the top two rounds, that programs like
- 53:18Speaker 1: Cincinnati that doesn't happen and then all of a sudden
- 53:21Speaker 1: be really good the next year. I want to see
- 53:23Speaker 1: what Arkansas does against South Carolina. Arkansas is for real.
- 53:26Speaker 1: They're gonna win that game, And to me, that's another
- 53:29Speaker 1: great test to see between Spencer Rattler and Jefferson. Okay,
- 53:33Speaker 1: who's who's the best in that tier of quarterbacks. I
- 53:36Speaker 1: think we find out Saturday. Well, didn't you guys play
- 53:39Speaker 1: like uh walnut you and struggle with him last week?
- 53:42Speaker 1: I mean, look, Mimi, first of all, if you go
- 53:44Speaker 1: through Mark Stoop's history, he always struggles the first game.
- 53:48Speaker 1: Matter of fact, they won Saturday's game against Miami Ohio
- 53:51Speaker 1: by more than they've ever won a first game ever.
- 53:54Speaker 1: But they always do that. Miamia Ohio. They'll probably wins
- 53:57Speaker 1: the Max. So I mean, again, it's the MAC. I'm
- 53:59Speaker 1: not acting like it's great, but they do. When you're
- 54:01Speaker 1: doing Thursday night Tuesday night bets later in the year,
- 54:04Speaker 1: I think Miami Ohio was a good team to bet on.
- 54:06Speaker 1: They were actually they got you remember blaying Gabber plays
- 54:09Speaker 1: in the pros. His brothers the quarterback there. All I
- 54:11Speaker 1: know is I saw your tweets and you're like, our
- 54:13Speaker 1: defense got to get better? Are offen? And I was like, well,
- 54:16Speaker 1: it looks like they're struggling with want you what for
- 54:19Speaker 1: the last For the last ten years or five years
- 54:22Speaker 1: at least, can tell you offense glide has been one
- 54:23Speaker 1: of the best in the SEC. It's not this year,
- 54:26Speaker 1: but they got better quarterbacks, receivers, running backs than they've
- 54:30Speaker 1: had in a long time. I really like Kentucky and
- 54:32Speaker 1: I think Kentucky will take it a Florida. I think
- 54:34Speaker 1: they'll win the game. Um, I'll be interesting to see
- 54:36Speaker 1: what the spread. I think Florida is getting a lot
- 54:38Speaker 1: of shine right now. Listen, they did win a big
- 54:41Speaker 1: game against Utah, But as I said last week, I
- 54:45Speaker 1: I just felt like they were gonna be bigger, faster,
- 54:47Speaker 1: and stronger than Utah and that was going to be
- 54:50Speaker 1: what separated them from the number sevent team in the country.
- 54:53Speaker 1: That really isn't the number sevent team in the country.
- 54:56Speaker 1: That's what we see when the SEC plays all these complets.
- 54:58Speaker 1: I mean, I don't understand in why you ever bet
- 55:02Speaker 1: against an SEC team in a nonconference game, unless they're
- 55:06Speaker 1: playing a team that is also loaded with similar athletes
- 55:10Speaker 1: from you know, the souths basically so Florida State last
- 55:13Speaker 1: night beat l s U. But they're full. They've got
- 55:16Speaker 1: a ton of those players too. That's why Clemson can
- 55:18Speaker 1: compete with them. That's why some not all, but some
- 55:22Speaker 1: Big Ten teams can really Ohio State because they get
- 55:25Speaker 1: those kind of guys too. But when they played Pack
- 55:28Speaker 1: twelve teams or Big twelve teams or even most of
- 55:31Speaker 1: the Big Ten, I'm always gonna take the SEC. I
- 55:34Speaker 1: mean when the SEC A c C play those last
- 55:37Speaker 1: games the year rivalries, the SEC is just dominating those games.
- 55:41Speaker 1: Now Kentucky has beaten Ullisville by a combined ninety two
- 55:45Speaker 1: points in the last three years. There's just too many
- 55:47Speaker 1: good players in the SEC. I will always, always, always
- 55:51Speaker 1: pick SEC schools against anybody except just a handful of
- 55:55Speaker 1: teams that are also based in the South. Well with
- 55:58Speaker 1: that too, we're both SEC homers. The I think we're homers. Well,
- 56:00Speaker 1: I think we're knowledgeable homers. But the SEC with thirteen one,
- 56:04Speaker 1: heck we would we like I play in the SEC,
- 56:06Speaker 1: it have been fourteen to know if L s well
- 56:09Speaker 1: that they needed to make the kicking and then they're
- 56:12Speaker 1: lucky even be in that game. I mean, FLORIDCE State,
- 56:14Speaker 1: I don't know why they pitched the ball to your
- 56:17Speaker 1: yard line when all you need is a field goal.
- 56:19Speaker 1: But well, I mean, just all you gotta do is
- 56:22Speaker 1: look at the recruiting ranking. So, Bobby, I mean next
- 56:25Speaker 1: year's recruiting. There's still guys that have not committed, but
- 56:29Speaker 1: of the people that have committed, there are more top
- 56:32Speaker 1: five hundred players committed to SEC schools than every other
- 56:37Speaker 1: Power five conference combined. I mean, come on, that's all
- 56:40Speaker 1: you need to know. Like, I mean, the best players
- 56:43Speaker 1: are now stocked up in the SEC, and when Texas
- 56:47Speaker 1: and Oklahoma come, it's only gonna be worse. So I
- 56:50Speaker 1: don't know. I don't know that there's going USC will
- 56:54Speaker 1: turn into a powerhouse under ride, you know, I think
- 56:57Speaker 1: you know, Clemson's good, Ohio State, Michigan, maybe in State,
- 57:00Speaker 1: Notre Day. Maybe there's eight programs around the country that
- 57:03Speaker 1: stay good. But the next twelve best are all gonna
- 57:07Speaker 1: be in the SEC. I mean, you're weren't We're in
- 57:09Speaker 1: a Michigan hat. You don't even mention Michigan this is
- 57:12Speaker 1: Middlesborough High School, where I went to high school. It
- 57:15Speaker 1: looks like, I mean, it's the same end. I know
- 57:17Speaker 1: they copied it for Middlesbrough, but you also wear a
- 57:21Speaker 1: Yankees hat all the time, so it wouldn't be out
- 57:24Speaker 1: of character if you to wear some obscure team and
- 57:26Speaker 1: you claim you're also a fan of them. Ver Nuggets
- 57:29Speaker 1: I have. I only collect like I don't spend money
- 57:34Speaker 1: on anything important. I only collect hoodies and shoes like
- 57:39Speaker 1: I'm an eighteen year old boy and uh so I
- 57:42Speaker 1: have a hoodie from almost I'm an Arkansas hoodie. I
- 57:44Speaker 1: have a I don't have Florida because they're arrival, but
- 57:47Speaker 1: I have most of the SEC teams see and I
- 57:50Speaker 1: could not basketball, but I could sport something Kentucky and
- 57:55Speaker 1: feel because I like Kentucky sports, except for basketball. Because
- 57:59Speaker 1: your fans are off and rude, and they're they're literally
- 58:03Speaker 1: the mean that's listen, listen, no, no, my turn, my talk,
- 58:07Speaker 1: my show, Literally the meanest group of fans. And I
- 58:11Speaker 1: tried to be open and tried to be loving, but
- 58:14Speaker 1: just not not football. Kentucky holl wins a lot. I'm
- 58:17Speaker 1: rooting for you, guys, Kentucky basketball. Your representatives are the worst. Listen,
- 58:24Speaker 1: all you gotta do is ask Malik Monk how your
- 58:28Speaker 1: state treated him when he came to Kentucky. To talk
- 58:32Speaker 1: about every fan base, Every fan base is mean and sucks.
- 58:38Speaker 1: Now there's a couple that are worse. Yeah, Kentucky first
- 58:41Speaker 1: and Tennessee Football nobody on earth, but everybody is. I mean,
- 58:46Speaker 1: you saw, but that's not accurate. It's just not accurate.
- 58:49Speaker 1: I listen, I constantly interact with a lot of folks
- 58:54Speaker 1: in Big Ten, Big twelve, and SEC universes and in
- 59:00Speaker 1: both sports football and basketball. I do. And with that
- 59:03Speaker 1: being Kentucky has just treated me the absolute worst. Well,
- 59:07Speaker 1: that's just a personal thing. They don't like you, But
- 59:09Speaker 1: in general I think that it's it's there's no difference
- 59:13Speaker 1: between most. I mean, you saw when else you played
- 59:15Speaker 1: Florid State. The l s U fans were as I mean,
- 59:20Speaker 1: they were like trying to attack the Florida State players
- 59:23Speaker 1: at the end of that game, all those frat boys.
- 59:26Speaker 1: I wish one or two of them had gotten what
- 59:28Speaker 1: they wanted and gotten to the players because it wouldn't
- 59:30Speaker 1: have gone well for the frat boys. But I uh
- 59:32Speaker 1: that every every fan base that cares is like that.
- 59:36Speaker 1: I do think Tennessee football hits a different level than
- 59:39Speaker 1: everybody else. But in general, we all suck when we're good,
- 59:43Speaker 1: but some suck harder. And here's the list the worst
- 59:46Speaker 1: programs that I have had to deal with fan bases
- 59:49Speaker 1: that come at me and and just are hateful and personal.
- 59:53Speaker 1: Kentucky basketball the worst. Second, both you t s going
- 59:58Speaker 1: second and third, Uh Tennis football because they still feel
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: like they're relevant and they're kind of getting back to
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: relevance again. That's a kind of like there's optimism for relevance,
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: but you would have thought they had won five national
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: championships in the last fifteen years. In football, they are
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: not as mean, but are I guess they don't have
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: an understanding that everybody else has kind of laughed at
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: them for a long time. And then three as Ut Texas,
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: where they were so good for so long and they
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: just are rich and they look down on everyone. Those one, two,
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: and three are probably football for Texas bias because two
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: of those three or places where you've lived, and so
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: I think that makes it a little different for you.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: I would say this, you people hate the team that
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: they want to be, like, right, so like Kentucky football.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: I think that's partially why we hate Tennessee football. They
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: beat us for years and years and years, and they're
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: right there next to us, So I think that's why
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: they hate its. Arkansas basketball fans really hate Kentucky basketball
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: fans because you all traditionally have been the second best
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: team in the conference. You haven't, well, you started to
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: be in the last year or two, but but then
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: you have like a ten or fifteen year gap. But
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: back in the nineties, that's you were. And so that's
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: why you hate us, because we've just been a better
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: version of you. I hate you, know, I hate you
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: guys because you're freaking mean and you but we're me. No,
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: you're personal. Everybody else is talking about how ugly I am,
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: or how I grew up poor, or how I have
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: the voice of a thirteen year old, or my nose,
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: or you wanna keep going, or how they're gonna come
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: to my house or they know where I live. That's
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: the only fan base that has ever said we will
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: come to your house and hurt you. Well, I'm sorry
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: that happened to you, But I do not believe Kentucky
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: fans are making fun of you for being poor. We're
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: the poorest state, and you know that's why it hurt
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: even worse. Let's be honest, that's why it hurt even worse.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: And you laughing now at me being poor. See see
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: now he laughing at me being poor. Sorry, we can't
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: all be lawyers. Okay, look well, let me know. Actually
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: I'm laughing at you because you're hosting a sports show
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: wearing white jeans. There are very few people that do that,
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: and so the white white jeans look is what it is.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: My favorite part of your ensembles. I can though, tell
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: me I can't now, you can't listen. You can pull
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: it off. You're a very handsome man. I'm just saying
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: to you, like when I turned on the TV. When
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: I turned on television, I don't see a lot of
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: like jocks in tight white jeans. It's like you and
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: a Manual Acco are the only two that try to
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: pull that off. Well, he's an actual jock. I think
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: that's the difference. I uh, you know, was okay up
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: until about eighteen. Okay, Matt Jones from Kentucky Sports Radio
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: and ESPN end on this, give me how you feel
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: like the SAME's gonna shake out this weekend. If I
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: if they made me bet, i'd probably say Florida twenty
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: Kentucky seventeen. And that's really more of a function of
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: the game being in Swamp. If it was in Lexington,
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: i'd probably flip those scores. But being in I think
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: those I think the teams. Like I said, I think
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: what you're gonna see amongst those seventeen that I mentioned
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: is the home team wins almost all of those matchups.
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: So Kentucky hosts South Carolina and Mississippi State this year.
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: I think they'll win those games. They go to Florida
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: and Tennessee, I think they'll lose those games. I think
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: that's those seven teams are all about the same and
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: it's all just gonna depend on who's the home team.
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: All right. I appreciate you, buddy, good to see you.
