Two men have pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the brutal beating death of 45-year-old father Leslie Neil Mason in Berens River First Nation. Michael Oliver Franklin, 32, and Thomas Bryton Goosehead, 24, admitted their roles in the fatal assault that began when Mason confronted Franklin over personal belongings — escalating into a two-on-one attack where Franklin stomped on Mason’s head while Goosehead held him down.
