Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: John Jay and Rich we're gonna play a game, and
- 0:02Speaker 1: we need a contestant. We got Doja cat tickets eight seven,
- 0:05Speaker 1: seven nine three seven, one oh four seven.
- 0:08Speaker 2: You know, today's like national here.
- 0:12Speaker 1: It is AI Appreciation Day, right, which is interesting because AI.
- 0:16Speaker 1: I think people are turning into anti AI.
- 0:19Speaker 3: Yeah, we're not really appreciated yet.
- 0:21Speaker 4: But AI created that and we're just all going with
- 0:23Speaker 4: it because it's taken over. Well, get this if it's
- 0:25Speaker 4: its own day.
- 0:26Speaker 1: So a writer for the Atlantic said, here are some
- 0:29Speaker 1: tricks to prevent AI from ruining your brain. So I
- 0:32Speaker 1: went over these tricks and I could never see myself
- 0:35Speaker 1: doing it because it's so convenient.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Let's just go with chatchaby t. Right. Like with Chatchabt,
- 0:39Speaker 2: I ask it everything and I get it. I don't
- 0:42Speaker 2: want to.
- 0:42Speaker 1: I don't I don't want to think and I don't
- 0:44Speaker 1: want to. You know, before you google it, Before that
- 0:46Speaker 1: you go to encyclopedias. Now you just go to ask somebody.
- 0:51Speaker 1: So they say, here are tips so that your brain
- 0:56Speaker 1: doesn't get lost.
- 0:57Speaker 2: In because they did all this research, you see, but
- 0:58Speaker 2: it was Yeah, it's.
- 1:01Speaker 1: The story and as breaking your brains, there's clear evidence
- 1:04Speaker 1: that we're not thinking for ourselves as much as we
- 1:06Speaker 1: used to. Here are a few techniques to try if
- 1:09Speaker 1: you want to prevent it. Ask for hints, not answers.
- 1:13Speaker 1: People who ask Ai to directly answer their questions suffer
- 1:17Speaker 1: severe declines in motivation and ability, But people who ask
- 1:21Speaker 1: AI for background thinking for or clarifications do not.
- 1:24Speaker 2: I would never do that. Just give me an answer. Yeah, no, kids, seems.
- 1:27Speaker 5: Like it's going to take a lot longer, Like I
- 1:28Speaker 5: would think. The things that you could do to keep
- 1:30Speaker 5: your brain going is like place you doku, or like
- 1:33Speaker 5: bring games.
- 1:33Speaker 4: In fact, I always say to my AI, don't give
- 1:38Speaker 4: me a typical answer. I want the answer that the
- 1:40Speaker 4: only the top one percent No, but the rest of
- 1:42Speaker 4: us still so I go the opposite with it.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Well, it's just start with a blank page.
- 1:46Speaker 1: When you want its take on something, write up your
- 1:50Speaker 1: own analysis and conclusions. Then ask AI to challenge your thinking,
- 1:53Speaker 1: not produce it. No, not doing homework.
- 1:58Speaker 6: Are doing homework that could be a good A good
- 2:01Speaker 6: way to use Well.
- 2:02Speaker 2: This isn't for cords or students or anything for adults. Yes,
- 2:05Speaker 2: so don't.
- 2:06Speaker 3: Go to school.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Rotate tasks. Every time you do a task with AI,
- 2:10Speaker 1: I follow it with a task that doesn't involve AI
- 2:13Speaker 1: that will keep you creative effort muscles alive. Make a
- 2:17Speaker 1: sharp this part I don't understand. I don't know what
- 2:19Speaker 1: this word means. It is make a sharp distinction between
- 2:22Speaker 1: wrote r O t E wrote and creative work. Let
- 2:26Speaker 1: AI write quick emails, don't let it write your essays
- 2:29Speaker 1: or your memos.
- 2:31Speaker 2: So anyway, that's uh, I'm a fan of AI right now,
- 2:34Speaker 2: So I don't know that's what they want you to be.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Did you see that somewhere on the East Coast they're
- 2:41Speaker 1: going to have their first humanoid robot teacher's assistant.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Oh? Really, yeah, Like that would be kind of cool.
- 2:48Speaker 1: It's going to help out that it's not a teacher,
- 2:49Speaker 1: but it's not to help out the teacher.
- 2:51Speaker 4: But if you have a robot in class that's doing stuff,
- 2:53Speaker 4: kind of cool.
- 2:53Speaker 5: I tell you why if you bring that into my
- 2:55Speaker 5: eleven year old daughter's class, she's walking out.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Really she is.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Like robot robots.
- 3:00Speaker 2: That robot will grab her. Where are you going? Grab
- 3:07Speaker 2: her by the shirt? Bring your back carrier up. She's
- 3:09Speaker 2: got her arm the legs like violation. Hey Mia, Hi,
- 3:14Speaker 2: how are you good?
- 3:16Speaker 3: How are you guys? What are you doing?
- 3:19Speaker 2: Where are you right now?
- 3:21Speaker 5: I literally put over on the side of the road
- 3:23Speaker 5: because I'm driving to work.
- 3:24Speaker 4: But I work in the middle of nowhere, So I'm like,
- 3:26Speaker 4: I'm going to lose service if I don't stop.
- 3:28Speaker 2: That's good. Where are you in the middle of nowhere?
- 3:29Speaker 2: Like where man?
- 3:31Speaker 3: Like Morristown, Whitman. I work in the middle of nowhere.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Wow, man, you are in the middle of nowhere. Don't move?
- 3:38Speaker 2: Is there? Does the monsoon hit over there at all?
- 3:42Speaker 6: Not yet?
- 3:43Speaker 5: I know it was when the dust storm hit earlier
- 3:45Speaker 5: this week, it was pretty bad, but it didn't hit.
- 3:47Speaker 1: It's too bad, you know.
- 3:48Speaker 2: It's funny. I know the rest of the week we're
- 3:49Speaker 2: expecting rain. Yes, so the monsoon is coming. The rain
- 3:52Speaker 2: is coming in my house.
- 3:53Speaker 1: I'm very paranoid about that, right so I through Kyle's husband,
- 3:57Speaker 1: who's a weather worshiper. Kyle's been text going, hey, Scott,
- 4:01Speaker 1: Scott says, it's coming to your house. I had this guy, Ryan,
- 4:03Speaker 1: a buddy mine, at my house helping me prep for
- 4:06Speaker 1: this stuff. And he's got an app and he's like,
- 4:08Speaker 1: this stuff's coming. It is coming tonight, it's coming big.
- 4:11Speaker 1: And I woke up this morning. Everything was fine.
- 4:13Speaker 2: There was not a drop ring. But I look and
- 4:15Speaker 2: it's coming. It's tonight today, tonight, it's gonna be bad.
- 4:19Speaker 2: It's gonna be bad. Anyway, we're gonna play the game
- 4:20Speaker 2: there for Doja cat tickets? Nick, what game we play?
- 4:22Speaker 3: You guys are playing a game today called What's My Name?
- 4:26Speaker 3: Allow me to reintroduce myself.
- 4:32Speaker 4: My name?
- 4:33Speaker 2: What's my name?
- 4:39Speaker 1: So?
- 4:39Speaker 3: I picked some celebrities that go by certain aliases. I'm
- 4:43Speaker 3: gonna give you the real name. You have to tell
- 4:45Speaker 3: me what that celebrity is or who that celebrity is. Okay, Yeah,
- 4:50Speaker 3: we're starting with John Jay, John Jay, Dwayne Michael Carter Junior,

- 5:14Speaker 3: Twenty one Savage is a good guest and anyone else
- 5:16Speaker 3: have a have a guest in the room. It's because
- 5:18Speaker 3: twenty one Savage and correct, Cornelly, it's Nelly, really is Cornell?
- 5:26Speaker 2: I kind of thought his name was just Nelly this
- 5:28Speaker 2: whole time.
- 5:29Speaker 3: I wonder where you didn't go by corn.
- 5:32Speaker 4: I love Corn.
- 5:40Speaker 3: I will now be referring to Nelly as Corn looks
- 5:43Speaker 3: like corn music. All right, Peyton Jonathan H. Smith, Oh,
- 5:50Speaker 3: that is like du baby. I think he's one of
- 5:55Speaker 3: the babies. I think you're thinking too too hard. Say again,
- 5:59Speaker 3: John Nathan H. Smith. Yeah, I'm gonna stick with my original. Okay, Yeah,
- 6:06Speaker 3: go ahead?
- 6:07Speaker 2: Would that be Will Smith?
- 6:08Speaker 3: Will Smith? Is a good guess we are looking for

- 7:10Speaker 3: I'm trying to name right now. Okay, I just wanted
- 7:14Speaker 3: to make sure what nick.
- 7:15Speaker 2: I don't think it's obvious. I don't think it's obvious, Okay,
- 7:19Speaker 2: I don't know about the artists.
- 7:21Speaker 4: That's unfortunate for me.
- 7:23Speaker 2: I'm gonna say Katy Perry.
- 7:25Speaker 3: We were looking for Katy Perry.
- 7:27Speaker 5: I thought was that it was just Kid Hudson.
- 7:30Speaker 3: Me too confused.
- 7:32Speaker 1: That's probably why she changed her name to Katy Perry.
- 7:35Speaker 3: Wait a minute, Okay, because I was confused with the
- 7:37Speaker 3: artist thing.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Yeah, like Michael Keaton, the guy that played Batman.
- 7:40Speaker 1: His real name is Michael Douglas, but there was a
- 7:43Speaker 1: big famous movie after me.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Michael changed that one man.
- 7:50Speaker 3: All right, we'll kick off round two. John J. Currently

- 7:56Speaker 3: Who is Netta Lee Schlag?
- 8:02Speaker 2: Nettalie Hirschlag, Nettalie Hirschlag.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Wow, Okay, I'm gonna say that is Olivia Spencer.

- 8:15Speaker 3: a half point. Natalie Portman. Oh, it's okay. Still still
- 8:23Speaker 3: in the lead here, John Jay Rich.
- 8:27Speaker 4: Shane Michael Boose Shane Michael Boose. Well, Shane's a pretty
- 8:33Speaker 4: cool first name. I don't know why you'd switch that up.

- 9:18Speaker 2: Know what you think.
- 9:18Speaker 5: I'm gonna Yeah, if you put that as the answer,
- 9:21Speaker 5: you would put that as an answer.
- 9:23Speaker 2: That's so nick, is it?
- 9:25Speaker 3: Adam Levine? Oh man, Kyle is always thinking about Adam Levine.

- 9:46Speaker 2: You're new to the show.
- 9:47Speaker 1: There is a storyline of Kyle and Adam movie Vine Intimate,
- 9:50Speaker 1: just not to revisit, just being just a quick thing.
- 9:53Speaker 3: We'll just get back. Okay. So, Kyle, that was wrong.

- 10:00Speaker 3: you're gonna go see Doja Cat Lord Amala Ratna Zendia Lamini.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Can you said it one more time?
- 10:16Speaker 6: Amala for Doja Cat tickets?
- 10:25Speaker 2: He said you were no good at this.
- 10:27Speaker 3: You rocked it?
- 10:29Speaker 2: Okay, Mia, don't move still.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Don't want to lose this signal, So we're gonna get
- 10:35Speaker 1: all your information so you get those Doja Cat tickets.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Okay, so hold on. Thank you guys, you got it.
- 10:40Speaker 2: Thanks for listening, and we're doing it again tomorrow too.

- 10:48Speaker 1: In fact, I want to try this, I said this
- 10:49Speaker 1: earlier this morning. We'll try this if you want to
- 10:51Speaker 1: play an hour from now, let's try to do it
- 10:53Speaker 1: on the text line.
- 10:54Speaker 2: And I thought about you what I thought? I thought,
- 10:56Speaker 2: I wonder if we could.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Uh give away tickets through all the different things we do,
- 11:00Speaker 1: Like right now, if you text us I want to
- 11:01Speaker 1: play a game, text jj R and I want to
- 11:04Speaker 1: play a game to nine six eight ninety three.
- 11:06Speaker 2: We might call you to play a game.
- 11:08Speaker 1: And then I thought, I wonder if we could someday
- 11:10Speaker 1: have a game that's just on the podcast that you
- 11:12Speaker 1: can only play if.
- 11:14Speaker 2: You listen to the podcast.
- 11:15Speaker 1: What I'm saying, I don't know, you know, I'm just
- 11:17Speaker 1: this is probably a meeting we sha have off air.
- 11:21Speaker 4: But if you have this part, you've heard it on
- 11:23Speaker 4: the air, so you know what's coming and you don't
- 11:25Speaker 4: need to show up to our meeting.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Now you're, oh, yeah, so it's something I wanted to
- 11:28Speaker 1: do every day this week. You haven't been able to
- 11:29Speaker 1: get to it. But I'm really excited about doing it.
- 11:31Speaker 1: And I tell you why, because one day, I think
- 11:33Speaker 1: it was on Monday, I was bringing this up off
- 11:35Speaker 1: the air, and immediately Noah and Peyton jumped in as
- 11:38Speaker 1: I was just briefly talking about it, and it's this.
- 11:42Speaker 1: People online were sharing their favorite white people phrases. White
- 11:47Speaker 1: people phrases, The odds are you've probably heard these bangers.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Maybe you're guilty of saying to me also, But as
- 11:53Speaker 1: soon as I said that, Painton, you remember what you said?
- 11:55Speaker 1: I think I said, you said rad No, do you
- 11:58Speaker 1: remember what you said? White people phrases?
- 12:02Speaker 2: Are you ready to rock and roll? Those are on
- 12:07Speaker 2: their list, But those are perfect. So if you have
- 12:09Speaker 2: a white.
- 12:10Speaker 1: Person phrase called eight seven seven, nine three seven one
- 12:12Speaker 1: oh four seven, I'll try to say these in the
- 12:15Speaker 1: biggest white person voice I know.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Well, look what the cat drags in.
- 12:22Speaker 1: White people phrase this next phrase I've heard Kyle say before.
- 12:27Speaker 4: Geez Louise, she does it with a little, a little
- 12:32Speaker 4: Wisconsin lean in there. These are the whitest phrases of
- 12:37Speaker 4: all time. You know, you just can't waltz in here.
- 12:43Speaker 4: That's pretty good. Hey, you get that, you know what.
- 12:45Speaker 4: I hear a lot from the whites because I'm around
- 12:47Speaker 4: a few lickety.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Split lickarty splits a good one, not on here? What
- 12:52Speaker 2: holds your horses? Hold? That's good? That's so good? Oh
- 12:58Speaker 2: for crying out last? Sure, that's on here. Okay. The
- 13:03Speaker 2: next one is hilarious. Oh yeah, tough guy.
- 13:09Speaker 1: My friend Greg said this one time to his little
- 13:11Speaker 1: brother and I and I was I think I was
- 13:13Speaker 1: like in eighth grade, and I laughed so hard. And
- 13:15Speaker 1: this is number five on the list. Here, I'm thin
- 13:17Speaker 1: ice buster. On thin ice buster. The next one. These
- 13:24Speaker 1: are the whitest phrases people say. I know, we've set
- 13:28Speaker 1: it in here for fun. Get a load of this guy.
- 13:35Speaker 2: The next one is hilarious.
- 13:38Speaker 3: News flash, buddy, I like that one.
- 13:43Speaker 2: And this is the number one whitest phrase of all time.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Oh yeah, you and what army there? You go up
- 13:50Speaker 2: there with your cruising for a bruising Yep, Yeah, that's it. Anyway,
- 13:53Speaker 2: those are fun.
- 13:54Speaker 1: If you got more you want to add to this,
- 13:55Speaker 1: you can call us at eight seven seven nine four
- 13:58Speaker 1: seven or text us texture whatever you think is the
- 14:01Speaker 1: whitest phrase of all time. Yesterday I got an interesting
- 14:07Speaker 1: text from Kyle, and I tried to help her as
- 14:08Speaker 1: much as I could. And I wonder if, as she
- 14:10Speaker 1: tells this story, I wonder how we can interject with
- 14:12Speaker 1: white phrases anyway, what happened to yesterday?
- 14:17Speaker 5: So my tween age daughter, she's eleven years old. She
- 14:20Speaker 5: has been begging me to get her nails done and
- 14:22Speaker 5: finally she just like asked me so many times, and
- 14:24Speaker 5: I was like, fine, we'll go. As we are leaving,
- 14:28Speaker 5: we go to open the garage and it's like eh,
- 14:30Speaker 5: And I'm like, what the garage is not opening?
- 14:33Speaker 2: And I press the button again and.
- 14:34Speaker 5: It looks like it looks like the thing that's connected
- 14:38Speaker 5: to the ceiling is going to break, like that metal
- 14:40Speaker 5: rod that the thing comes up. It looks like it's
- 14:43Speaker 5: about to break. And I was like, I don't think
- 14:44Speaker 5: I should press this button anymore. So automatically I go
- 14:47Speaker 5: into my husband. He's basically a handyman. So Scott comes in,
- 14:50Speaker 5: takes a look at it, and he pulls the red thing.
- 14:53Speaker 5: You know, there's that red string that in an emergency
- 14:56Speaker 5: with your garage. You pull that down and then you
- 14:59Speaker 5: can just lift the garage up with your hands. So
- 15:01Speaker 5: we pull that down and he tries to lift the
- 15:04Speaker 5: garage up nothing, and he is pretty strong, but I'm like,
- 15:08Speaker 5: maybe I'll go over there and both of us like
- 15:10Speaker 5: I'm going to help him right hold horses, And here
- 15:18Speaker 5: I am thinking we got to go get our nails.
- 15:19Speaker 5: Then we're burning daylight.
- 15:25Speaker 3: So he's trying to figure it out.
- 15:27Speaker 5: I go and I'm like, well, I don't know if
- 15:28Speaker 5: we can go get your nails dough or whatever. And
- 15:30Speaker 5: Scott's Scott's Scott's car is like in the separate garage,
- 15:34Speaker 5: and so he goes, you could just borrow my car.
- 15:37Speaker 3: He's like, but.
- 15:38Speaker 5: Watch the rims because I've had a tendency to curb
- 15:42Speaker 5: curb the wheels now and then so okay, so we
- 15:46Speaker 5: go and we sit down and get the nails done,
- 15:49Speaker 5: and I get a text from him and he goes,
- 15:51Speaker 5: looks like it's the torsion spring.
- 15:55Speaker 2: That's actually like, it's just something that you don't understand.
- 16:00Speaker 3: Okay, what does that mean?
- 16:02Speaker 5: He's like, well, basically, it's not something that I should
- 16:06Speaker 5: try to fix on my own. We need to call someone, right,
- 16:09Speaker 5: And I remember John Jay and Rich do commercials for
- 16:11Speaker 5: a one garage Day one, and so immediately I text
- 16:16Speaker 5: you guys, and John Jay You're like, yeah, I'll text him,
- 16:19Speaker 5: and I'm like, well, I'm hoping to get this fixed
- 16:22Speaker 5: as soon as possible because my car is trapped in
- 16:25Speaker 5: the garage.
- 16:26Speaker 1: Wait, wait, hold on. I was like, holy here, Lorraine,
- 16:28Speaker 1: you have a white people phrase. I want to know
- 16:29Speaker 1: if it works with Kyle's story.
- 16:31Speaker 2: What is it?
- 16:32Speaker 3: Okay?
- 16:33Speaker 5: So I the whitest phrase I can think of is
- 16:36Speaker 5: when people say sounds like a case of the Mondays?
- 16:40Speaker 5: Is this it happened on Monday?
- 16:47Speaker 2: Because I mean it just because it happens on a
- 16:49Speaker 2: different day.
- 16:51Speaker 5: So we get in touch with A one and I'm like, dude,
- 16:54Speaker 5: the like, is there any way to get this garage open?
- 16:57Speaker 2: And he was like yeah, without that ring?
- 17:00Speaker 5: The garage now actually weighs about three hundred pounds, and
- 17:05Speaker 5: if you try to lift it up like it could
- 17:08Speaker 5: you could put something in like in the thing to
- 17:11Speaker 5: make it stay up, like a screwdriver or a stick,
- 17:13Speaker 5: but that will probably break because.
- 17:15Speaker 2: It's so heavy.
- 17:16Speaker 5: So anyways, I drove Scott's car to work today because
- 17:20Speaker 5: my car is still drafted in the garage. But A
- 17:22Speaker 5: one is coming this morning, and so I'm confident that
- 17:25Speaker 5: they'll be able.
- 17:26Speaker 3: To get it work.
- 17:27Speaker 1: So you know what's interesting about A one Tommy Mellow's owner.
- 17:30Speaker 1: And so when you said that to us in the
- 17:33Speaker 1: group chat, I was like, yeah, I saw it.
- 17:35Speaker 2: I saw your text.

- 17:43Speaker 2: I was waiting for you to jump in, and you
- 17:45Speaker 2: didn't jump in on the text. I was like, ah,
- 17:46Speaker 2: I gotta help Kyle, so I'll text him.

- 18:26Speaker 1: to put my phone away, so he does. It was
- 18:28Speaker 1: almost exactly an hour, so he must have been doing
- 18:30Speaker 1: something that just ended. And he texted me and he goes, hey,
- 18:33Speaker 1: I'll connect you with so and so, so and so,
- 18:35Speaker 1: and then I said okay, So I sent them your number, Kyle.

- 18:41Speaker 1: thought I thought they were going to call her, But

- 18:46Speaker 1: supposed to call them. But another I went and got
- 18:48Speaker 1: a massage, so I was gone for an hour, so
- 18:51Speaker 1: I was like, she's in the whole time I was
- 18:53Speaker 1: having this massage, I was stressed because I was like,
- 18:56Speaker 1: her car stuck and I should I have my bringer
- 19:01Speaker 1: on my phone in case they're texting to connect Kyle.
