- 0:00I don't think I have ever been this tired of dating and I'm
- 0:04going to try to get through this without crying, although I can
- 0:06guarantee you there's going to be tears.
- 0:08What happened to trying to build meeting somebody and connecting
- 0:12and having that chemistry and wanting to build something with
- 0:15that person? I don't.
- 0:16Love the filming yourself crying.
- 0:18I think I don't care about that. Well, you would.
- 0:21Because I would do it. And I'm not knocking open
- 0:23relationships either because I've been kicked out of a couple
- 0:26and they're fine. I think that you should be able
- 0:28to laugh at yourself. If I was that guy I I would
- 0:30laugh at his video. Because it's funny.
- 0:32Kicked out of a few open relationships.
- 0:34It's so funny because you know it's true.
- 0:38Hey guys, welcome back to Normal Gaze, where we take on insanity.
- 0:41I'm Brad Palumbo here with Clarkson Lawson.
- 0:42What's? Up guys, Brad has been on a
- 0:44flight this morning, so he's probably going to be grumpy.
- 0:46I'm a cranky. Yeah, it's.
- 0:49Because I got up at like 4:00 AM and got on.
- 0:51A we've been walking on egg shells setting up for this.
- 0:54We're not trying to trigger him. Yeah, yeah.
- 0:58But I don't know what we're talking about.
- 0:59Normally I. This is well, we're going to do
- 1:01the one that you discovered first, your gay.
- 1:04Twitter drama Oh my God, do you have?
- 1:06Strong feelings about this subject I.
- 1:09Didn't know, I wouldn't say like strong feelings but I feel like
- 1:13a lot of it is just a bunch of jealous ugly.
- 1:16Oh, so not strong feelings at all, no.
- 1:19No, I feel like pretty lukewarm. Lukewarm.
- 1:21So wait, why don't you give the like TLDR and I'll play the
- 1:25videos but. So basically there's like this
- 1:27trend in how did. You find this on Twitter.
- 1:30Yeah, that's where all gay conversations are happening.
- 1:33I don't know what your Twitter looks like.
- 1:34His is a lot more political than mine.
- 1:36Mine is like actual news and information.
- 1:38Yeah, I've I've but. Also lots of racist sloth.
- 1:41Yeah, I've outgrown that phase in my life.
- 1:44So now I just focus on gay. No, this is about gay dating.
- 1:49So basically there's trend, not a trend, but like every once in
- 1:53a while there's a hot like conventionally attractive gay
- 1:56guy. Conventionally attractive
- 1:58lesbian. Yeah, but actually
- 2:00conventionally attractive who gets online and complaints about
- 2:03how hard it is to date in a gay? Community.
- 2:06It's very hard, specifically if you want monogamy, if you want
- 2:10more like heteronormative type of dating stuff.
- 2:13And then if they cry, they kind of become like the laughing
- 2:17stock of the people who are like, you're hot, you shouldn't
- 2:20have a problem dating, or like you just want attention.
- 2:23You're like that one. That one dude who's always
- 2:25complaining about grinder and white men.
- 2:27He made a video about this guy too.
- 2:28Of course he did. So this guy that we're going to
- 2:32show a video of, I guess he was really upset, had an experience
- 2:36happened with dating and decided to post his thoughts on Tiktok.
- 2:41Which narrator never do it? Never.
- 2:43No, I say. Do it.
- 2:45If you're going to make like a career chasing clout or
- 2:48something or clicks, but if you're just a rando, don't put
- 2:51yourself out there on the Internet.
- 2:52All that can happen is you'll get bullied.
- 2:54Well, yeah, but that's just that comes with being if you want
- 2:57virality, yeah. Which normal people don't really
- 3:00want. I beg to differ.
- 3:01I think everybody wants to be famous, but some people just
- 3:04aren't scared of it. You have to put on your mic if
- 3:06you want to talk, Mr. Producer. He oh, well, I guess there's
- 3:09some he doesn't want to, but most people I think on social
- 3:12media want to get attention. But anyways, let's play.
- 3:15OK, let's watch. Just giving the get move along
- 3:18hand gestures. I think people like the app.
- 3:22The app. The yap when we.
- 3:24Oh, the yap. Yeah, some people do.
- 3:25Some people hate it. They're like get.
- 3:27To the topic. Get to the point, guys.
- 3:28I'm like, this is like the the whole point is to hear us talk.
- 3:32No. Or do you just do you just let's
- 3:35just play the TikTok reactions like the crazy like.
- 3:37No, we'll do and. Just say nothing.
- 3:39Have you ever, I used to go to this place, now a total tangent
- 3:42to get my haircut, where they would have these like slop
- 3:44channels on the TV where it'd just be like social media videos
- 3:47of pets on repeat doing cute things or like crazy acts.
- 3:52It's like the ultimate brain rot.
- 3:53That's what people want. They want us to be Coco Melon
- 3:55for adults. And I think they want us to be
- 3:56lives of TikTok, Yeah, yeah. But where we say nothing in the.
- 4:00Stem version yeah yeah. Watch non binary.
- 4:03Yep. Watch The Girl with the Unibrow.
- 4:05Which honestly, that is, that is a lot of them.
- 4:07That is us. Everyone like we have to, we
- 4:09have to share our thoughts. I don't know anyways.
- 4:11Let's watch. Play the movie.
- 4:13Yeah. Play.
- 4:14You know that. Some Shrek.
- 4:17You know what I'm talking. About what the This is 4 minutes
- 4:19long. We don't have to watch the whole
- 4:21thing. You think I I haven't watched
- 4:23the whole thing. You think I I watched the video
- 4:24for 4 minutes? No, I didn't.
- 4:27Not yet. Not yet.
- 4:28Now I am. I think I'm the only one who
- 4:30watched the whole thing. Who?
- 4:31Watched the whole thing. When when he sent it.
- 4:34Oh yeah, He was making commentary.
- 4:36I'm like, I didn't even know he said that.
- 4:37I didn't watch it well. We can, we might be able to
- 4:40watch the whole thing maybe. All right.
- 4:41OK, so the guys on our screen now.
- 4:43We're ready to. He's cute.
- 4:44OK. Do we think he's cute?
- 4:45Yes, he's conventionally attacked.
- 4:48Your type. Yeah, he's very your type
- 4:49though. Yeah, he is bearded broad, but
- 4:51he's looks white though. Is he not white?
- 4:53I don't, I don't, I don't know his like.
- 4:55'Cause you like 23. You act like I I can you like
- 4:58that little bit Someones 23andMe?
- 5:01Not really, no. I just like them to have dark
- 5:03features so they don't compete with me.
- 5:06Yeah, but I don't know. He's 23andMe, but I would say
- 5:08he's maybe like, he looks a little Jewish, maybe like
- 5:12Israeli. OK, I don't know.
- 5:15That would be a switch up for you.
- 5:17Would it? From going to from a Muslim to
- 5:19an Israeli, I've. Done both.
- 5:22I I am very diverse, some girls do both and I believe in
- 5:27equality and I think that we can learn from different
- 5:31perspectives. The key to peace in the Middle
- 5:33East is passing around. Clarkson is me.
- 5:36I am peace in the Middle East. All right, play the video.
- 5:40I don't think I have ever been this tired of dating and I'm
- 5:44going to try to get through this without crying, although I can
- 5:46guarantee you there's going to be tears the past, OK?
- 5:49As you're crying. Month or two I have been in two
- 5:53situations with guys that have left me completely depleted,
- 6:01exhausted. Interesting choice, I'm tired.
- 6:03I'm so tired. I'm tired of the OPS.
- 6:06I'm tired of putting myself out there.
- 6:09I am tired of being vulnerable. I'm tired of getting my hopes
- 6:17up. Like when is enough enough?
- 6:21In our community and dating in particular, when is enough
- 6:24enough? We're like in this warped world
- 6:27now where we're always wanting more, always wanting the next
- 6:30best thing, downloading the apps, messaging 100 people a
- 6:33day, like doing Instagram, all these things like it's got to
- 6:36stop with enough. And then you meet someone right
- 6:39from the apps or from wherever and you think it's going so
- 6:43well. You're like, things are good.
- 6:45Like things are so good. It's always almost, it's always
- 6:48almost, you know, even the ones in relationships, they're
- 6:51they're not happy either. You know, most of them, most of
- 6:54them are, aren't happy. And I'm not knocking open
- 6:57relationships, but to assume that you have one fracture in
- 7:00your relationship and now you have to be open.
- 7:01That's the only way to survive. Or when I hear that other
- 7:04couples are saying to their partners, you know, there's a
- 7:07problem. We have to be open.
- 7:08Or else what happened to trying to build meeting somebody and
- 7:14connecting and having that chemistry and wanting to build
- 7:16something with that person? Gone are the times.
- 7:19Those days are over. And I try so hard to come on
- 7:21here and be positive. We can watch more, but I feel
- 7:24like so far he's preaching your language.
- 7:26Yeah, no, I mean, I don't see anything wrong with it and I
- 7:29feel like. I don't love the filming
- 7:31yourself crying. I think I don't care about that.
- 7:34Well, you would. Because I would do it.
- 7:37The thing is, is like, I don't know, I feel like the whole
- 7:39purpose of social media is to be relatable, but.
- 7:41It's performative. I don't think it's performative.
- 7:43If you're actually upset and you want to share.
- 7:47I think it's different. The problem I have is that he's
- 7:50he has an internal problem with dating and he's now making it
- 7:54like a whole. People do extrapolate their
- 7:57experiences a lot. And then, you know, generalize a
- 8:00whole community, which I think you could, that's like maybe
- 8:03what you shouldn't do. But if you're upset, like I get
- 8:05on social media when I'm happy, why can't I get on social media
- 8:08when I'm upset? It's all relatable.
- 8:09And if the whole point is to share parts of yourself, like I
- 8:13would want my followers to know if there's something I'm upset
- 8:16about or maybe something they can relate to and learn from.
- 8:19So I don't have AI. Don't really have them.
- 8:20Yeah. I don't understand what are what
- 8:22are people like outraged by? Well, they're basically, I mean,
- 8:25because it's. So.
- 8:26Because yeah, he's he's he white man attractive man bad.
- 8:30You created these the white man created.
- 8:32These who set that? System up.
- 8:34That's literally it, no? I'm not kidding.
- 8:36Unironically, like white man set that system up or they're going
- 8:39to be like, oh, I know you were at a circuit party, like doing
- 8:41all the stuff that contributes to.
- 8:43This thoughts on how crazy that is because like even if First
- 8:46off that's not true that just only white men set the system
- 8:49up. But even if that were true, I
- 8:51didn't. I know.
- 8:52I had nothing to do with it. Well, it's different if you were
- 8:55part of the culture that is being created that you're now
- 8:58complaining about, I guess. But even if you were like, let's
- 9:02say that you used to be like that, and then now you're
- 9:04realizing that it's wrong. What's wrong with pointing that
- 9:06out? I don't know.
- 9:08So a lot of people are just saying that he's doing it for
- 9:10attention and that he's attractive and if he really
- 9:12wanted to settle down he should probably just change his type
- 9:15and stop going after the bad guy.
- 9:16I mean, did you feel attacked by that?
- 9:18I mean, yeah. 'Cause there's like a little
- 9:20truth to that. There is truth, but it's like
- 9:22you can't really help if you're not attracted to like somebody
- 9:26like you have a type. Yes, but I think you can.
- 9:30Some people make the mistake of looking and repeating the same
- 9:33patterns over and over again and not learning from their
- 9:35experiences. No, I'm I'm talking about the
- 9:37guy in the. Video we literally it's just
- 9:40crazy because like last week I was low key like this.
- 9:44Not that we're everything's fine, but like a little hiccup
- 9:47and like Brad and I Brad and I were having like I was acting
- 9:50like this guy. So now I clearly feel a lot of
- 9:53sympathy towards. Also, and that's only the parts
- 9:55they saw, not the parts we edited.
- 9:56Out. Yeah, well, and, and there's
- 9:58stuff that happened like in in private conversations, but I
- 10:02don't know, I feel like it's entirely OK to be frustrated
- 10:05with dating if you're an attractive person.
- 10:07Specifically, wait, why would it not be just because you're?
- 10:10Because they're saying you have more options.
- 10:12So it's still. But The thing is, is like.
- 10:14But also sometimes no, because sometimes people are intimidated
- 10:16by. You, that is true.
- 10:18And also to my experience, if you are dating within your like
- 10:21bracket of looks, I think if you're dating very hot men,
- 10:25they're more likely to not want to settle down because they have
- 10:28more options because immaturity is a lot easier to like to be if
- 10:32you're hot and you have a bunch of options in front of you.
- 10:35So like, I don't know if you're, I feel like it might be a little
- 10:38bit harder not take for hot men to be able to.
- 10:43Oh, so the hots are the victims? Yes.
- 10:46So to be a privilege. Pretty impression.
- 10:47If they want to settle down and have monogamy and have this, I
- 10:50think specifically in the gay community that is harder to find
- 10:53if you are in the higher bracket of like looks because most of
- 10:57the guys are, they're men, they just want to around and then
- 11:00they don't really want to settle until they're like 40.
- 11:02I will say that also. And that's not.
- 11:05It's a little bit of a reflection as well though that
- 11:07like for example see meeting guys on Grinder and then being
- 11:11shocked when they don't want to date him.
- 11:13That's fair, but if the guy says I want to date you.
- 11:16Yeah, that's true. But there's a lot of.
- 11:17People that you will, you will meet people on these apps to
- 11:20hook up and then they'll say like, I hook them up.
- 11:23But then if I meet somebody, I'm like, well, I do want this.
- 11:26So now I'm looking at this connection differently and I'm
- 11:29going to handle it differently. But I don't think a lot of men
- 11:31are able to do that, or they'll just lie and say they want all
- 11:35of these. Things they really do be.
- 11:36You've had many. Men lie to you.
- 11:37They're liars. Men.
- 11:39Liars. Gay men are The problem with gay
- 11:43men, at the end of the day, is they're just men.
- 11:45They're they are men. And the same issues with men are
- 11:49issues. And then there's two men, so
- 11:50it's exponentially multiplied. And they don't have women that
- 11:53are like to civilize them. Yeah, to gatekeeps.
- 11:56So then the men who are in high demand, literally, it's like
- 11:59they're at a buffet every day. So it's very hard to.
- 12:02Find a low end buffet in most of occasions.
- 12:05Yeah, well, it depends on where you are if you're in South
- 12:08Beach. All right, let's play a little
- 12:10more of this video. And talk about, you know,
- 12:12changing your ways and being a good person.
- 12:15And I tried to make it all of a polished video.
- 12:17And that's not what this is. Because I'm tired.
- 12:20And we want to all act like it's not a problem.
- 12:22We want to all act like this is just normal.
- 12:24The ghosting and the love bombing and the, you know,
- 12:29faking it and, and partying and the apps and messaging, texting
- 12:34and then falling off the face like it's exhausting.
- 12:37You know, for people like me who believe love conquers all, like
- 12:39to me, love is the only drug you need.
- 12:42You find yourself depleted in this community.
- 12:45It's, it's very easy to feel that it's never going to happen,
- 12:49like you were never going to make it to the finish line.
- 12:52And I just don't know where we all went left.
- 12:53I, I genuinely, I don't know where we all went left, where
- 12:57this has just become our norm. This is just how we work.
- 13:00Even when you meet someone that you really, really like and you
- 13:02believe that this is going to be something, what do we all say?
- 13:05But I don't want to jinx it. He's great, but I don't, I don't
- 13:08want to get my hopes up because we're waiting for the ball to
- 13:11drop. We're waiting for something to
- 13:12happen. We're waiting for them to ghost
- 13:14us. We're waiting for them to never
- 13:16text again. Or even when you start dating
- 13:18and then months later you find misalignment or you find that
- 13:21they're not exactly who they thought, who you thought that
- 13:24they were. I mean, it's just I don't know
- 13:27what we have to do to change this.
- 13:28I think a lot of his complaints are just with dating in general,
- 13:31specifically when you're young. I hear not that dissimilar
- 13:35things from young straight people as well.
- 13:37Yeah, I just think gay people mature a little bit later
- 13:40because they they don't have like a biological time clock.
- 13:43And also delayed adolescence. Yeah, because they don't come
- 13:46out until they're like 25. So I think we feel a lot of
- 13:50pressure to like to settle down early because everybody wants
- 13:53to. But like, this is kind of just a
- 13:55part of dating, you know, like waiting for the ball to drop,
- 13:57getting your heart broken, Like, I don't know, I mean.
- 14:01And some of the things like love bombing and ghosting, those are
- 14:04pervasive just in general. But I don't get what's what's.
- 14:08This is so offensive to people like people were.
- 14:11Mocking him. It's literally because of the
- 14:13way he looks. Just because he's.
- 14:15Like they're mocking a hot person who's upset about dating
- 14:17because they can't imagine that you would have any problem
- 14:20dating, which is just like stupid.
- 14:23But I mean, I guess it's just what they do.
- 14:25I don't know. There is something to be said
- 14:26about like the gay community building habits that don't that
- 14:31aren't conducive to wanting monogamy if that's your end goal
- 14:34or you wanting to like build that study relationship.
- 14:36Like if you're hooking up all the time, like that is a drug in
- 14:38and of itself and you're not really built like your body,
- 14:41you're building habits psychologically that will not
- 14:45correlate with the relationship that you think you want.
- 14:47So I think they, they chase after the relationship and then
- 14:50when they get it, they're like, oh, wait, I don't, I don't know
- 14:53if I want this, even though they think they want it because
- 14:55ideally that's what they think they want, but they've built all
- 14:57of these habits that don't, that don't contribute to it.
- 15:00I'm thinking about how. Close your legs.
- 15:02Yeah, close your legs. I mean, maybe open them every
- 15:05once in a while, but maybe just close them a little less.
- 15:07No, I was thinking. About Candace Owens Cliff is
- 15:10when she says she's going. To open up the clinic yeah, I
- 15:12literally just saw that this morning actually, but I was
- 15:15thinking about the guy that I was seeing before the guy that
- 15:17I'm going to tell the story about yeah, the guy that I was
- 15:20seeing before you're. Just going to make me edit this
- 15:22out later. No, I'm not.
- 15:23This is fine. I'm not going to say his name.
- 15:25The guy that I was seeing before that I'm seeing now told me
- 15:28because we like went to coffee, 'cause he wanted closure and he
- 15:33basically said like, 'cause we didn't work because he didn't
- 15:36know if he wanted monogamy. And you were not about to be in
- 15:39that open. Relationship and I'm also not
- 15:41going to sit and wait for somebody to figure that out.
- 15:42Like I'm not I'm not going to do that.
- 15:45But then he was like, after I ended it with with him, he
- 15:49basically told me I didn't realize that I could be enough
- 15:52for somebody because for so long I just never felt like that.
- 15:55And then until I met you, I realized what I wanted and that
- 15:58monogamy was even possible and that somebody would be satisfied
- 16:01with me. So I feel like there's a lot of
- 16:02habits. Yeah.
- 16:04That like contribute to the mindset of that a lot of gays
- 16:08carry into their into their relationships.
- 16:10But anyway, sorry that's. Let's watch the first video
- 16:12mocking this person. OK, yeah, let's get to the good
- 16:14stuff. I'll shut up.
- 16:16At what point is enough gonna be enough?
- 16:18I'm going to try my best not to cry during this interview.
- 16:20I mean video, but there's no promises because what I'm about
- 16:23to talk about is very powerful about something you've probably
- 16:26never thought about in your entire life.
- 16:28Dating these past couple of months, I've been in two
- 16:31situation ships and I know this is going to be shocking, but
- 16:34they were with men, not women. But I'm just tired of being
- 16:39vulnerable. I'm tired of being curious.
- 16:41I'm tired of being passionate. I'm tired of being somebody's
- 16:44silly little rabbit just for it to end up like this every single
- 16:50time. You see, I'm sorry I tried.
- 16:54I'm tired of this community and what's wrong with it.
- 16:58I'm tired of everybody valuing social media and partying when
- 17:02they should be valuing building blocks.
- 17:04Legos and love Legos love. That's what I want to be doing.
- 17:10And I get on these. You're not going to find them on
- 17:12the apps. You're not going to find you're
- 17:14Bob the Builder on the apps. I get on there, I get on
- 17:16Grinder, I get on Sniffy's looking for the one that I'm
- 17:19going to bring home to Mama and Meemaw.
- 17:21And no, it just ends with ghosting and love bombing and
- 17:27restraining orders and having to give back the key that you made,
- 17:31even though the last couple of weeks had been so perfect.
- 17:33So like, why wouldn't you have wanted a key to his apartment?
- 17:36But apparently, no, I have to give it back and I have to stay
- 17:39500 feet away for whatever reason.
- 17:42And I'm just, I'm, I'm sick of it.
- 17:44I am sick of it. And, and I'm not knocking open
- 17:48relationships either because I've been kicked out of a couple
- 17:51and they're fine. But you know, where's the
- 17:53happiness? There's no Legos in there.
- 17:55Either. And I'm over it.
- 17:56And I know that you look at me and you think, oh, his perfect
- 17:59social media, his perfect chiseled body.
- 18:02And it's like, yeah. And if it can happen to me, I
- 18:07can imagine how it's happening to you normals.
- 18:10And I'm just, I'm so over it. When am I going to be taken
- 18:13seriously? When am I going to stop being
- 18:15objectified? When is somebody going to want
- 18:17something more out of me than just social media and chiseled
- 18:22muscles? I just don't understand it and
- 18:26it's not fair. We have to do better, y'all.
- 18:29And we've got to fix this now. Nobody wants to love me.
- 18:36He. Kind of.
- 18:37He's funny, I mean. Because he made a couple of good
- 18:42points. The guy did take himself way too
- 18:44seriously in the original video where he's like, yeah, I want
- 18:48somebody to build Bob the Builder.
- 18:50OK, but when you're like really upset, but.
- 18:53He was dramatic. I just feel like I would be
- 18:55dramatic like that. So I can't, right?
- 18:58Yeah, but it makes it authentic. OK, Hitler was authentic.
- 19:02OK, what? So you're comparing that guy to
- 19:04Hitler? No, I'm comparing you to Hitler,
- 19:06actually. And Clarkistan, people do not
- 19:09get guided for their religious affiliation just for being ugly.
- 19:15I mean, look, it's funny. I think that you should be able
- 19:18to laugh at yourself. If I was that guy, I would laugh
- 19:20at his video. Because it's funny.
- 19:22Kicked out of a few open relationships.
- 19:24It's so funny because you know it's true.
- 19:26Like, you know that half of these guys have been like the
- 19:30third in a relationship. Point also about how I went on
- 19:33grinder and Sniffy's and all I wanted to do was hook up.
- 19:36I was looking for the one. Yeah.
- 19:38I mean, there's something to be said about all of that, but I
- 19:41don't think that. But this didn't feel like a mean
- 19:43spirited mockery, this stuff. Is like memer.
- 19:45It's just like a funny situation.
- 19:47I don't know, like you should be able to make a joke about
- 19:49things. But the other dude was like an
- 19:52your fave. Oh yeah, of course he's.
- 19:54Should we? Go to him.
- 19:54He's malicious. Yeah, let's just go to him
- 19:56before I start going in on this. Well, we need a nickname for
- 19:59him. Crusted.
- 20:01No Busted. I do think of like a type of
- 20:05crust, but I think we have to be specific in the type of crust
- 20:08that he is. So I'm thinking like, I crust,
- 20:10yeah. Like.
- 20:12That's what he reminds me of a little bit.
- 20:15I sat next. To a guy, maybe like a wet pool
- 20:17booger, you know, No, because those aren't crusted, those are
- 20:23wet. So maybe like a dried up wet
- 20:26pool booger. I keep saying burger 'cause I'm
- 20:29hungry. That was in your And then it
- 20:34dried. But we should just call him I
- 20:36crust. What we want a DoorDash food.
- 20:39Yeah. Are you hungry?
- 20:40Are we allowed to DoorDash? OK, let's just let's just.
- 20:46OK, let's watch the. Let's watch I crust.
- 20:48Let's watch Crusty. No, I crust.
- 20:50I like crusty. OK, well I'm going to call him I
- 20:52Crust. Imagine your nickname being
- 20:55crusty and I crust like if my office.
- 20:59And it has nothing to do with his lungs.
- 21:01It's no has everything to do with his personality.
- 21:04I'm sorry, stop the cap. I am behind the white
- 21:07background. Stop the cap, it absolutely has
- 21:10something. No, because The thing is, is
- 21:12like if he fixed his attitude, maybe like shaved the beard, got
- 21:18a workout in, I don't think he'd be an ugly guy.
- 21:20I don't think I have I've ever been this tired of dating and
- 21:24I'm going to try to get through this without crying.
- 21:26Well, I totally understand this critter and see where it's
- 21:28coming from. Sometimes I have a hard time
- 21:29trusting committed to the right attractive man, you know saying
- 21:32or so lonely the gay community because y'all have the cream of
- 21:35the crab. Y'all have literally the most
- 21:36privilege the you're the majority.
- 21:38And when I see some of them complain about being in the gay
- 21:41community and how lonely they are, it's like, girl, y'all
- 21:44literally built this for yourself.
- 21:46Y'all built this system where it's hard of day because you
- 21:49expect everybody to have the standard of worshipping men 99%
- 21:54of the time. Like and you know, also it's not
- 21:56just white gays fault, but like y'all perpetuate a lot of these
- 21:59stereotypes that you know the gay community ends up acquiring.
- 22:03And of course I'm not saying that this creator does it, but
- 22:05when I see other community attractive in the gay community
- 22:07complain about how lonely it is, I'm like, and who said that's
- 22:10just about who said that system up.
- 22:12They expect the entire gay community to been at their well
- 22:15and been at their well, but then it's just like them.
- 22:16They're like, no, I sorted at my coffee, I sorted at my carbon
- 22:19copy. Okay, pair chopped hole.
- 22:21Like what are we doing here, girl?
- 22:22Yeah, like I get his anger and frustration, but I have a hard
- 22:24time believing certain community attractive man, especially if
- 22:26they're talking about how hard it is getting in the gay can
- 22:29dream cause like girl, what do we really?
- 22:31Don't hear so he's just so obsessed with white men.
- 22:34It's so annoying. I hate this idea that white men
- 22:37can't complain because they're kind.
- 22:39Set that system up. That's like, so I'm an
- 22:42individual. I have no culpability.
- 22:44Also like. Not really true, but.
- 22:45It's not white people, it's men. Yeah, like you're missing the
- 22:49the actual point. It's men that have set the
- 22:52system. Up he's literally just like I
- 22:53just I. I agree with a lot of the
- 22:55complaints, but I just can't hear a white person.
- 22:57He's not part of the problem. And as if he's not obsessed with
- 23:00white men sexuality. You're he's.
- 23:02Literally saying. His whole thing is like, Oh
- 23:04well, you guys just want hot guys to fawn over you.
- 23:07You created this, you set the standard in the gay community.
- 23:09It's like you're the one setting the standard that everything is
- 23:12based off of Looks by judging this guy entirely just because
- 23:15he's hot. Like you're the one who is
- 23:18contributing to this so-called system.
- 23:21And you're not white, so maybe it's a male thing.
- 23:24When you see a hot guy and you feel inferior, or if you are hot
- 23:29and you feel above, yeah, I crust and you feel above
- 23:32someone, that's just social hierarchy in humans,
- 23:35specifically in males. I just don't.
- 23:36I don't know. I don't know how you can be this
- 23:40stupid. What were you going to say?
- 23:42I. Was stupid.
- 23:43I just felt like that was kind of mean.
- 23:45I also have my notes here. What do your notes say?
- 23:47This is man, dating isn't all about looks.
- 23:50OK, but I agree, but you're not the best messenger for this
- 23:52message. No, finding a partner is a lot
- 23:55about looks, but it not working out is more about the internal
- 23:59of a person rather than the looks of them.
- 24:01So that is so to assume that hot people have it easier and aren't
- 24:05going to go through the same problems that people.
- 24:06Would probably have the easier time hooking up.
- 24:08Yeah, or an easier time finding more prospects.
- 24:11But when the minute you start dating someone, you're dating
- 24:14one person and you become emotionally invested and you're
- 24:16going to go through the same problems that anybody does
- 24:18specifically if it doesn't work out.
- 24:21No, I don't know. So, final thoughts on the gay
- 24:24Twitter drama of the week. I don't know, I just feel like
- 24:28everybody hates hot people. You're just so aggrieved and
- 24:31victimized, huh? You calling me hot?
- 24:33I'm saying that you think. You are.
- 24:35I never said that. I just said everybody hates hot
- 24:37people and Brad automatically made it about me, so I'll take
- 24:41the compliment where I can get it.
- 24:43All right. Well, I want to compliment our
- 24:45members by showing our love for them by responding to their
- 24:48comments. I want to fight them.
- 24:50The first one did threaten us with a lawsuit, kind of.
- 24:53What don't we finally getting the lawsuit we've been craving.
- 24:57Bro we would make such contact. I know, I know, I know.
- 25:02Well, actually, we're going to talk about the hostage later,
- 25:03and I feel like if we keep talking about them, they might.
- 25:05Sue us. Oh, they're they're back.
- 25:07There's it's worse OK, because of the best way to convince us
- 25:11that you're not a hostage is to make a video about how saying.
- 25:13We're not a hostage to. Make a video saying Stockholm
- 25:16syndrome is not real guys. Oh my God.
- 25:19OK, so we'll do. That's coming in a few days.
- 25:23Our producer is going to join the chat and list and read us
- 25:26our comments. That's a long.
- 25:28One this is from dislabled Dali Diva making fun of Clarkson for
- 25:34his quote UN quote time blindness and or lack of
- 25:37executive function is ableist Brad.
- 25:40He is. He has a diagnosed case of ADHD.
- 25:43Pause. She.
- 25:45Said you have a lack of executive function.
- 25:47That's crazy. But I'm the ableist.
- 25:52I do not identify with your community, OK?
- 25:55I do not have a lack of whatever executive dysfunction.
- 25:59There's there's more. It will.
- 26:01It gets into some Trump capitalization here.
- 26:04These symptoms may be a manifestation of his qualified
- 26:07disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act, which
- 26:12makes Clark part of the disability community and
- 26:15protected class of citizen under the act, and she gives the date.
- 26:20I'm disabled. She's dead asses but just saying
- 26:23that because I'm ableist to him I'm like violating the ADA but.
- 26:26I thought I was the ablest 1. Well, we both are, but you're
- 26:29allowed to be ableist because you have a diagnosis.
- 26:32Oh, OK. Got it.
- 26:33But don't worry, she progresses to coming back to Clarkson
- 26:36making fun of the disabled community.
- 26:38So this isn't all positive about Clarkson.
- 26:40Oh, OK. Good, good.
- 26:42I need some haters. This is why neither of you
- 26:44should make fun of disabled models who are working.
- 26:47By the way, isn't that what about?
- 26:49It's because we laughed. At the the disabled model really
- 26:53OK. Also, we didn't really laugh at
- 26:55her, we laughed at the situation.
- 26:56Yes. And I'm sorry, you're not going
- 26:58to convince me that's not funny. Just like 2 midgets fighting
- 27:01each other will always be hilarious.
- 27:03Yeah. Sorry, next we're calling out
- 27:05Brad. IMO Brad needs to stop self ID
- 27:09ING as having a touch of the tism and get an actual
- 27:12diagnosis. It would lend more credibility
- 27:14to your critique of the disabled population if you both got rid
- 27:17of your own own internalized ableism.
- 27:19Oh my God, girl, you are not long for.
- 27:22This OK, first of all, the door is.
- 27:24There, the broken door. You don't know what the we have
- 27:27internalized. It's a lot of, but it ain't
- 27:29ableism. But also, I hate this idea that
- 27:31like, Oh well, your critique would be stronger if you had a
- 27:34diagnosis. It's the same.
- 27:35This is like the woke, the the woke thinking of like you can
- 27:39speak on that because no, it's the same critique.
- 27:41Is it logically sound? Right.
- 27:42If you copy and pasted it and put it out of the minds of the
- 27:45the mouth of that friggin disabled person, it would still
- 27:48be the same argument with the same logic or lack thereof.
- 27:51It's this is positionality. It's.
- 27:54Stupid we got basically we're. Argue we're argue with the.
- 27:58For me to explain this in a disabled way, since Brad's not
- 28:01disabled and I'm dumb apparently.
- 28:04Not that all disabled people are dumb, but apparently I'm I lack
- 28:07executive function. What he's saying is an immutable
- 28:10characteristic. Doesn't make your point stronger
- 28:13just by having it. Then it but also to be clear,
- 28:16like I would be, I would say be nice, but she already said she
- 28:19cancelled her membership so oh. Yeah, I mean, I she's been kind
- 28:22of going ham in the comments for a while.
- 28:24You know what? We support that for you.
- 28:26No, we just are going to eat well.
- 28:27She said she had a crush on me if you videos back.
- 28:29While that was ship sailed. I think that this is a scorned
- 28:33lover and I'm so sorry but. But now she thinks you lack
- 28:38executive. I lack it.
- 28:39Well, that's probably why she was attracted to me.
- 28:41Yeah, that's OK. All right, next comment.
- 28:44This one's much sweeter, so Dixie Chicks 1765 a few
- 28:48questions for you to do y'all consider each other to be some
- 28:53of your closest friends. Yeah, I don't think we have many
- 28:56friends. So I, I, I don't think it's
- 28:59really a choice for us to identify.
- 29:01I was going to say we've been friends friends for like a
- 29:05little over a year and I would already say I would put you in
- 29:09my top three best friends. And I think this helps because
- 29:11we just like kind of, this is really just us yapping.
- 29:15Like we're it's not that different.
- 29:16It's really not that different. Also producer over there, I
- 29:20would consider as well because yeah, we have a, we have a group
- 29:23chat where I just kind of. And they, like, get along a
- 29:27little better without me, 'cause I tism, yeah.
- 29:31We're like Clarkson's emotional support animals, Yeah.
- 29:34And he's like our source of drama and entertainment.
- 29:37Yeah, no, but last week, I don't want to get sappy, but last week
- 29:40I was going through a hard time and I leaned on them a lot.
- 29:43So that was very sweet. But yes.
- 29:45OK. Next question.
- 29:46Do you think that if normal gaze ended, y'all would still stay
- 29:49close friends I. Think so.
- 29:52And then how is the other person?
- 29:53I don't know the money. It's like, what's the point?
- 29:57Kidding. How has the other person changed
- 30:00your life since starting normal gaze?
- 30:03This is very deep question. Now I'm probably going to go on
- 30:05Reddit, yeah. Brad's going to get snatched.
- 30:11I think you have a lot more money.
- 30:13I have honestly, I'll be honest. I honestly, I'll be honest,
- 30:17yeah, I do lack executive function.
- 30:20No, I don't have the structure with my creativity that Brad
- 30:24has. And I think that having them has
- 30:28helped me a lot with like. My brand master.
- 30:31Yeah, like to work. I know like you'll know on my
- 30:34personal YouTube channel I barely post but like this has
- 30:36been nice to be able to rely on them to do the parts that.
- 30:40And to like a set schedule. And it's like, not just because
- 30:43it's just up in the air. Because I lack executive
- 30:45function, but that actually is true, like I have very bad ADD
- 30:49like it's. It's I know you're qualified to
- 30:51the Americans. Now that shit is chronic.
- 30:53Like it's it's really bad, but OK.
- 30:56And and Brad is funny, but really to make this podcast
- 31:00work. But you don't think I'm
- 31:01entertaining enough? You're entertaining, but the the
- 31:04true laughs typically do and I. Think that comedy has to flow
- 31:09freely, so that's why I try not to put myself in on such a set
- 31:12schedule. But there's a catch 22.
- 31:14Maybe the schedule could be a little more set.
- 31:16There's a healthy balance. And I feel like we're a little
- 31:19off balance. You think so?
- 31:20Well, the last two weeks you've been you've been posting.
- 31:23I already have another YouTube channel scripted, YouTube video
- 31:26scripted. Okay, Brad, how has Clarkson
- 31:28changed your life? I already said he's going to
- 31:30motivate my looks Maxing. Oh yeah, that's true.
- 31:33I also think that Brad's gotten out of his shell a little bit.
- 31:35Yeah, no, for sure. Absolutely, people.
- 31:38Come in people, come open with like actually being yourself.
- 31:41You, that's true. You gave me that advice and
- 31:43you've, you've encouraged that to show more of me and not just,
- 31:47you know, my work. And I think that's good advice.
- 31:50And I'm not quite as ready to show as much as you show.
- 31:54I don't know if he'll ever be. Oh, I didn't OK the.
- 31:58Next one is did you see the furry post of Brad on the
- 32:01subreddit? Oh my God.
- 32:03There's a furry post of you on the subreddit.
- 32:04I can't at least see my phone gets a hotspot.
- 32:06OK, I'll look it up on the computer.
- 32:09No, I guess you can tell by our reaction we did not see it.
- 32:12What do you think? Somebody just made AIR of me as
- 32:15a furry. What?
- 32:16What is that? That's me Anime.
- 32:18Brad's anime look alike. OK, feeling like Clarkson can
- 32:23really be Cam coated with the fat dude from Modern Family is
- 32:28the funniness, not the fatness. If an accident does happen, I
- 32:33hope he kills me because I don't think I would be a very
- 32:37inspiring disabled person. That's what you're Oh.
- 32:39Cam is so that checks out. I'm not seeing any furry art.
- 32:45Yeah, me either. I'm.
- 32:46Just seeing the drawings, he's kind of daddy.
- 32:49It's the banana, Nito. Yeah, he kind of he.
- 32:52Kind of was Daddy. He is in all the fruit AI
- 32:54videos. He actually is always the
- 32:57player. It's very weird.
- 32:59So check out the normal gaze subreddit and be a part of the
- 33:01community. Actually, what we want you to
- 33:03do, you can do that too, but we want you to go spam our Spotify,
- 33:07go rate our podcast on Spotify, give us a positive rating and
- 33:11even. If you don't listen to.
- 33:12It even if you're gonna keep watching on YouTube, that's
- 33:13fine, but just go. It really helps.
- 33:16OK, one more comment. Love you guys both, but one
- 33:19thing I've been dying to ask for the Q&A.
- 33:21Clarkson, are you on Ozempic or any type of weight loss
- 33:24medication? You look really good.
- 33:27I've just noticed you've been. Losing weight pretty.
- 33:30Fast lately. I actually responded back to
- 33:34this comment earlier, but I am on a GLP that I do not recommend
- 33:41you get on because I'm not a doctor.
- 33:42And it's not legal. I am in the clinical.
- 33:45Trials without the clinic or the trial part.
- 33:48It is. Trial, trial and error.
- 33:51But I'm on a micro dose of it. I take a very small amount
- 33:56because I still have to maintain my weight, it's just leaned me
- 33:59out a lot and I accidentally took too much when I first
- 34:01started and turned into a cancer patient for.
- 34:03And I yelled at him. Yeah, for like 2 weeks and I had
- 34:06to get like an IV doctor to come in and give me fluids because I
- 34:08couldn't stomach water. It was very bad.
- 34:10So make sure you do all of this under the supervision of health
- 34:13professional. And don't just buy it from a
- 34:14dude at your gym. All right, guys, thanks so much
- 34:17for tuning into this episode of the Normal Gaze podcast.
- 34:19We love you all. Do consider becoming a channel
- 34:21member and drop your comments or questions or feedback in the
- 34:25comments. And if you remember, we might
- 34:26read it on a future episode. But regardless, thank you for
- 34:29being here and we'll be back with more real soon.
