• 1:14
Speaker 3: We're going to talk about the services that they provide
• 1:17
Speaker 3: out of their location. That's a fascinating business. I'm looking
• 1:20
Speaker 3: forward to diving into that just a little bit. We're
• 1:21
Speaker 3: going to talk to Josh coming up here in just
• 1:23
Speaker 3: a few moments, and then at the bottom of the hour,
• 1:25
Speaker 3: Delicate Mike Pushkin is going to be with us, and
• 1:27
Speaker 3: I'm going to hold Mike here for the remainder of
• 1:30
Speaker 3: the show, taking your calls and texts. He has a
• 1:33
Speaker 3: lot that he's going to get into from the DNC
• 1:37
Speaker 3: last week to the stories of ranking about the governor
• 1:40
Speaker 3: in the state, what the Democratic Party is doing in
• 1:42
Speaker 3: West Virginia. So if you have questions, comments, like I
• 1:45
Speaker 3: know many people do, for Mike to get those ready
• 1:47
Speaker 3: for the phone line or for the text line, I'll
• 1:50
Speaker 3: get that information out to you a little bit later on,
• 1:52
Speaker 3: so you want to be ready for that. So that's
• 1:54
Speaker 3: what our show is going to be today. I appreciate
• 1:56
Speaker 3: you tuning in from the Parmar Store studio and checking
• 2:00
Speaker 3: out five eighty Love Dale Cooper, and let's go ahead
• 2:02
Speaker 3: and bring Josh Beam onto the airwaves now so we
• 2:05
Speaker 3: can talk a little bit about Jude.
• 2:06
Speaker 4: Josh, good morning. How you doing this morning? Doing great?
• 2:08
Speaker 3: I'm doing well. I appreciate you coming in and I'm
• 2:10
Speaker 3: really looking forward to having this discussion.
• 2:14
  Speaker 4: Now.
• 2:14
Speaker 3: The listeners of the program are familiar with you. You've
• 2:16
Speaker 3: been on with David just a couple of times. But
• 2:18
Speaker 3: give us a little bit of a reset, just so
• 2:20
Speaker 3: I get to know you a little better about yourself.
• 2:22
Speaker 3: Are you from the area, from the Charleston area. Give
• 2:24
Speaker 3: me a little background information.
• 2:25
Speaker 5: Yeah, so born and raised and Hurricane, went to school there,
• 2:29
Speaker 5: graduated twenty eighteen and stayed since.
• 2:31
Speaker 4: Absolutely. That's outstanding for running security.
• 2:35
Speaker 3: Now. Jude is a security company. It's based in Hurricane.
• 2:37
Speaker 3: So you stayed right at your home. That's I love
• 2:39
Speaker 3: when people do that, man, they stay right in the
• 2:41
Speaker 3: home here in West Virginia. Open up their business. You
• 2:43
Speaker 3: specialize in smart home and business security solutions. You offer
• 2:46
Speaker 3: systems that provide video monitoring, access control, energy management, and
• 2:49
Speaker 3: wellness features. Jude Services operate on a dedicated cellular connection,
• 2:53
Speaker 3: insuring security and even during power or internet alleges They
• 2:57
Speaker 3: partner with trusted brands to enhance home out of and
• 3:00
Speaker 3: data protection solutions are designed to give users total control
• 3:02
Speaker 3: peace of mind through proactive safeguards and real time notifications.
• 3:06
Speaker 3: Reading this this is this is really cool sounding to
• 3:09
Speaker 3: me because you guys not only do like residential helping
• 3:11
Speaker 3: folks out, but you do like business locations and things
• 3:14
Speaker 3: like that as well. That's a really cool concept. That
• 3:17
Speaker 3: was kind of a lot of jargon. Have you give
• 3:19
Speaker 3: me kind of your perspective on your business, like what's
• 3:22
  Speaker 3: your emission statement?
• 3:23
Speaker 5: So, I mean, you know, just just building it here. Recently,
• 3:27
Speaker 5: I think that our main mission and main focus is
• 3:31
Speaker 5: just helping people at home, helping businesses, different people that
• 3:35
Speaker 5: use our services. So something that kind of sets us
• 3:37
Speaker 5: apart from other businesses and other security companies is who
• 3:40
Speaker 5: really do care? You know, I come into a home
• 3:42
Speaker 5: and I really want to figure out what works best
• 3:45
Speaker 5: for you. I absolutely listened to the user, I listened
• 3:48
Speaker 5: to the business owner whoever we're dealing with, and just
• 3:52
Speaker 5: really really listen on what works for you, what works best,
• 3:55
Speaker 5: and then kind of get a feel for it and
• 3:57
Speaker 5: make some suggestions on things. But you know, we don't
• 3:59
Speaker 5: push anything on you. We're not trying to make a
• 4:01
Speaker 5: bunch of money off of you. We just want to
• 4:03
  Speaker 5: help you out.
• 4:03
Speaker 3: And you really lean into where you can using technology
• 4:07
Speaker 3: to make things streamlined, more access and to to give
• 4:11
Speaker 3: users real control over what it is that you're doing.
• 4:13
Speaker 3: That's something that I'm sure that it's an extra level
• 4:18
Speaker 3: of security but also personalization so you can really deliver
• 4:21
Speaker 3: what somebody is looking for. Yeah, what type of So
• 4:24
Speaker 3: as far as I want to ask this question first
• 4:26
Speaker 3: and we'll and then I'll get more into the other
• 4:28
Speaker 3: things as far as like kind of a baseline setup,
• 4:30
Speaker 3: if someone's interested in using your services, what should they
• 4:34
Speaker 3: be expected to be able to need? I mean, as
• 4:36
Speaker 3: far as operate goes, should they be Do they have
• 4:38
Speaker 3: to be super familiar with technology with computers and stuff?
• 4:42
Speaker 3: Is there a fairly shallow learning curve as far as
• 4:45
Speaker 3: getting used to that to that technology?
• 4:47
  Speaker 4: Right? Shall Yeah?
• 4:47
Speaker 5: So I use my parents a lot as an example.
• 4:50
Speaker 5: You know, they are not teching people by any means,
• 4:54
Speaker 5: and you know, we set them up with a security
• 4:55
Speaker 5: system and they almost immediately picked it up. So we
• 4:58
Speaker 5: partner with Alarm dot com, the largest national provider and
• 5:01
Speaker 5: security services. We use their app and it is just
• 5:04
Speaker 5: very very user friendly. So like you said, you can
• 5:07
Speaker 5: customize it to kind of what you want to have
• 5:09
Speaker 5: set up how your homepage wants to look, but you know,
• 5:12
Speaker 5: we can't. There's a lot of different things on there
• 5:15
Speaker 5: that helps you learn about the app, So they have
• 5:16
Speaker 5: videos that walk you through the app and things like that.
• 5:19
Speaker 5: I also have a customer that we installed for last
• 5:21
Speaker 5: week that I'll be meeting with this week and kind
• 5:24
Speaker 5: of going over things with them personally, so coming back
• 5:26
Speaker 5: out to the home and just showing them anything that
• 5:28
Speaker 5: they hadn't picked up yet. So, you know, I usually
• 5:31
Speaker 5: tell people get the app, mess with it for a
• 5:33
Speaker 5: couple of weeks, make sure you know how to set
• 5:34
Speaker 5: your panel and everything, but kind of just look around
• 5:37
Speaker 5: on the app. You learn better that way, and then
• 5:39
Speaker 5: whatever you haven't picked up, I'm happy to come back
• 5:42
  Speaker 5: out and look.
• 5:42
Speaker 4: At it with you.
• 5:43
Speaker 3: What do you think is the benefits and services that
• 5:45
Speaker 3: you provide that sets you kind of apart from the
• 5:47
Speaker 3: other folks that are in the space.
• 5:49
Speaker 5: So, I mean, one of the biggest things is just
• 5:51
Speaker 5: partnering with Alarm dot Com. They're absolutely always changing, always growing,
• 5:56
Speaker 5: always adapting to the needs of the people that we're servicing.
• 6:00
Speaker 5: So you know, you talked about wellness, you talked about
• 6:02
Speaker 5: energy management, things like that that we also offer that
• 6:05
Speaker 5: I think a lot of other companies don't. That is
• 6:08
Speaker 5: something that is always growing and always helping the people
• 6:11
Speaker 5: that we're servicing. And like I'd said too, just kind
• 6:13
Speaker 5: of touching on we're just different because we really do care.
• 6:17
Speaker 5: We're a small family owned business out of the valley
• 6:20
Speaker 5: here and service all through West Virginia and all through
• 6:22
Speaker 5: the east coast here. Just absolutely want to help you
• 6:25
Speaker 5: as much as we can.
• 6:26
Speaker 4: I love that, and I love that outlook.
• 6:29
Speaker 3: One of the things I think is really interesting about
• 6:31
Speaker 3: the services that you provide is that the type of
• 6:34
Speaker 3: network that you use will work independently from like a
• 6:37
Speaker 3: home WiFi or from even power from power outages.
• 6:40
Speaker 4: Explain a little bit how that works.
• 6:42
Speaker 5: So all of our systems run off of what's called
• 6:45
Speaker 5: dual path. So you have a Wi Fi extension and
• 6:49
Speaker 5: you have also a cellular extension. So basically every panel
• 6:54
Speaker 5: has its own cell phone service, so they mainly go
• 6:57
Speaker 5: off of that and then they go off of the Wi
• 6:59
Speaker 5: Fi whichever is better in your area. And so if
• 7:02
Speaker 5: one goes down the other one's still working. And then
• 7:04
Speaker 5: as far as power outages, each of our panels and
• 7:07
Speaker 5: all of our sensors have all of our sensors are
• 7:10
Speaker 5: battery operated by themselves, So our security panels have a
• 7:13
Speaker 5: battery backup in them as well that last up to
• 7:15
Speaker 5: twenty four hours. So if power goes out, Wi Fi
• 7:18
Speaker 5: goes down, whatever, then it's still secure.
• 7:20
Speaker 4: It's still going well.
• 7:21
Speaker 3: When we talk about security, obviously, people when they think
• 7:24
Speaker 3: about home security, ayway, they think about cameras and different
• 7:27
Speaker 3: things like that, What levels, what all types of different security.
• 7:30
Speaker 3: Let's start with a residential and then we'll work our
• 7:32
Speaker 3: way up to business a little bit. What types of
• 7:33
Speaker 3: security do you offer? Is there like door alarms, window alarms,
• 7:36
Speaker 3: different things along those lines, motion detectors, like how far
• 7:39
Speaker 3: do you go in that?
• 7:40
Speaker 4: Yeah? So I mean any of that and all of it. Yeah.
• 7:43
Speaker 5: So anything that you can think of home security that
• 7:45
Speaker 5: you've heard of, we have it. And anything that you
• 7:48
Speaker 5: haven't heard of, we probably are have it or close
• 7:51
Speaker 5: to having it. So a lot of different home automation,
• 7:53
Speaker 5: a lot of different smart home features. We compare with
• 7:55
Speaker 5: all of that as well.
• 7:57
Speaker 3: That's amazing because I know, you know in this day
• 7:59
Speaker 3: and age. I have a small home security system, you know,
• 8:02
Speaker 3: just with cameras and some window monitors and things along
• 8:05
Speaker 3: those lines. Relatively small, but in this in this day
• 8:08
Speaker 3: that we live in, even for a residential person, if
• 8:11
Speaker 3: you have just a house in a city, or if
• 8:12
Speaker 3: you have a compound that's you know a little bit
• 8:14
Speaker 3: more role or something like that, you really need to
• 8:16
Speaker 3: protect yourself in this manner and having something where you
• 8:19
Speaker 3: have access to your property where you get notified. My
• 8:21
Speaker 3: mom has, you know, cameras everywhere she lives really, so
• 8:24
Speaker 3: she has cameras everywhere, she has notifications set up things
• 8:26
Speaker 3: like that. A lot of times it's animals, but you
• 8:28
Speaker 3: want to make sure that it is animals, you know,
• 8:30
Speaker 3: because you just never know. And so having that extra
• 8:32
Speaker 3: layer of security and having not being dedicated to just
• 8:36
Speaker 3: your Wi Fi or just yourself, having that have that
• 8:38
Speaker 3: redundancy there is a really important thing. Because we've all
• 8:41
Speaker 3: seen the movies. Right you cut the line and then
• 8:42
Speaker 3: you can get right in, you know, you don't have
• 8:44
Speaker 3: to worry about that kind of thing.
• 8:45
  Speaker 4: That's a good thing.
• 8:47
Speaker 3: When when we talk about these levels of services, so
• 8:50
Speaker 3: like with video monitoring and stuff like that, we're all
• 8:51
Speaker 3: used to like the modern technology where you can look
• 8:53
Speaker 3: on your phone and see your cameras. But I was
• 8:55
Speaker 3: looking a little bit into what you guys offer and
• 8:57
Speaker 3: it's it's a really deluxe dashboard that what you offer
• 9:00
Speaker 3: as far as with a video presentation and things go yes, yeah,
• 9:04
Speaker 3: what is different about it or what some of the
• 9:06
Speaker 3: features that somebody would come across when they look at
• 9:10
Speaker 3: something like a video panel or something like that. Can
• 9:12
Speaker 3: you set alarms on that, like if you get motion
• 9:14
Speaker 3: on a certain camera, or you can really dedicate it
• 9:17
  Speaker 3: to that level.
• 9:17
Speaker 5: Yeah, So they really break it down and do a
• 9:20
Speaker 5: lot of different analytics that they have watching your cameras there.
• 9:23
Speaker 5: So on just a simple residential camera setup, you have
• 9:27
Speaker 5: it set up to where it can show you I
• 9:30
Speaker 5: think it's four different sections, so you have people, cars, animals,
• 9:37
Speaker 5: or UFOs. So UFO is anything that is undecided. It
• 9:40
Speaker 5: doesn't know what it's picking up. But you get notifications
• 9:43
Speaker 5: for this, and say you live out in the woods,
• 9:45
Speaker 5: you live kind of out there a little bit. You
• 9:47
Speaker 5: can turn off the animal features so that you're not
• 9:49
Speaker 5: getting notifications every time that a rabbit goes to your
• 9:52
Speaker 5: yard or something like that. But yeah, it does send
• 9:54
Speaker 5: you a specific notification for telling you what's in the
• 9:57
Speaker 5: yard there, what's in your driveway, whatever, exactly when it's happening.
• 10:02
Speaker 5: So you know, that's for a residential system. For business,
• 10:05
Speaker 5: it's very interesting what alum dot com offers. So they
• 10:08
Speaker 5: have a lot of different, ever changing business analytics, so
• 10:11
Speaker 5: you can set up different things like people counters, you
• 10:14
Speaker 5: can set up commony or in the in the place
• 10:17
Speaker 5: there you can see how long they've been in there,
• 10:19
Speaker 5: you can see how many times a week they're coming
• 10:21
Speaker 5: in there that specific.
• 10:22
Speaker 4: Person wow, wow wow.
• 10:25
Speaker 5: Hot spots in the business as well, so you know,
• 10:28
Speaker 5: so you're a retail story, it'll show kind of where
• 10:30
Speaker 5: people are focusing heavy you're on. So it's very very
• 10:33
Speaker 5: interesting just and I'm still learning about all of it.
• 10:36
Speaker 5: It's it's there's so much to learn about what they
• 10:38
Speaker 5: really do offer. It's it's amazing.
• 10:39
Speaker 3: I've ran some small businesses in my past and have
• 10:42
Speaker 3: gotten security systems for their small businesses, and man that
• 10:44
Speaker 3: that nothing like that. I mean, I wasn't even approached
• 10:48
Speaker 3: with anything like that. That's an incredible tool that you
• 10:51
Speaker 3: could use not only for your security but also just
• 10:53
Speaker 3: for managing I mean even scheduling and things like that.
• 10:56
Speaker 4: It could help you.
• 10:57
Speaker 3: Out with with with how you're putting together your do
• 11:00
Speaker 3: it in this day and age when finding help is
• 11:02
Speaker 3: hard and you need to maximize how you can schedule.
• 11:04
Speaker 3: Even something like that could definitely provide help. And so
• 11:08
Speaker 3: when we talk about overall security even for businesses, that
• 11:11
Speaker 3: includes like access and things like that. So you can
• 11:13
Speaker 3: help manage is it for with like mag cards or
• 11:16
Speaker 3: something like that where you can help manage access to
• 11:18
Speaker 3: different locations. So if you have, you know, a small
• 11:21
Speaker 3: franchise or different locations somewhere, you can have employees that
• 11:23
Speaker 3: can get access to all those locations. That's something else
• 11:25
Speaker 3: that you can help monitor, right.
• 11:26
Speaker 5: Yeah, So there's a lot of different ways that we
• 11:28
Speaker 5: can do that as well, So just whatever works best
• 11:31
Speaker 5: for you. So we have different setups to where you
• 11:33
Speaker 5: can have a coded entry just a four digit code.
• 11:38
Speaker 5: You can have a maglock where you have a key
• 11:41
Speaker 5: card for it. You can also set up to where
• 11:43
Speaker 5: if you have the app on your phone, then you
• 11:45
Speaker 5: just have to be walking up to the door and
• 11:46
Speaker 5: the door unlocked to you. So if you have your
• 11:48
  Speaker 5: Bluetooth on, it'll it'll pick.
• 11:49
Speaker 4: It up there so it's very interesting.
• 11:51
Speaker 5: The nice thing about it as well, is you know,
• 11:54
Speaker 5: you can set up different time limits on when you
• 11:56
Speaker 5: want the certain person there. So if certain people on
• 11:58
Speaker 5: your staff, you don't want them to be in twenty
• 12:00
Speaker 5: four hours a day or give them that full access,
• 12:02
Speaker 5: you can set it to where they're only allowed to
• 12:04
Speaker 5: use their code of business hours things like that. You
• 12:06
Speaker 5: can take their code off at any time, you can
• 12:08
Speaker 5: restrict it to certain days in the week, you know,
• 12:10
Speaker 5: whatever works best for you.
• 12:12
Speaker 3: I know this is a small business owner. Anybody out
• 12:14
Speaker 3: there that's been in these shoes, I know that you have.
• 12:17
Speaker 3: You've hired somebody's worked with you for a while, you
• 12:18
Speaker 3: give them access to the store with a key, and
• 12:20
Speaker 3: then something go sideways and you no longer trust the person.
• 12:23
Speaker 3: Something happens, you need to get your key back. You
• 12:24
Speaker 3: can't get the key back, you know. One thing you
• 12:26
Speaker 3: can do is change all your locks, you know, which
• 12:28
Speaker 3: as a business owner, that's kind of a pain in
• 12:30
Speaker 3: the rear. If you have a solution like this, you
• 12:32
Speaker 3: can simply just disable the key or change the code
• 12:34
Speaker 3: or whatever it might be. It makes a lot easier
• 12:36
Speaker 3: when you're managing and stuff like that. And if you're
• 12:38
Speaker 3: a retail outlet that has like inventory that's on site
• 12:40
Speaker 3: and things like that, or data from clients or something.
• 12:43
Speaker 3: You want to be able to protect that as much
• 12:44
Speaker 3: as possible. That's another great way to be able to
• 12:46
Speaker 3: do that. And that's good stuff.
• 12:47
Speaker 4: Man. We're learning a lot this morning about jut security.

Speaker 3: Josh Beems with me today from Smart Security in Hurricane
• 17:02
Speaker 3: and we are talking about all the different services, levels
• 17:04
Speaker 3: of services they provide. Josh is gonna be with me
• 17:07
Speaker 3: here for another couple of minutes before we cutting loose
• 17:09
Speaker 3: at the bottom of hour, learning about all kinds of
• 17:11
Speaker 3: things here. One of the things I read about on
• 17:13
Speaker 3: your website and I'm a little interested for you to
• 17:15
Speaker 3: explain this willness monitoring.
• 17:17
Speaker 5: What what does that entail, so you know, just as
• 17:21
Speaker 5: a simple way to remember this or or think about
• 17:24
Speaker 5: it as everybody's sort of life alert. So it's very
• 17:27
Speaker 5: similar to that in a way. You know, you can
• 17:30
Speaker 5: have a pendant that you can press a button and
• 17:33
Speaker 5: some help for. But one of the interesting things that
• 17:35
Speaker 5: alarm dot Com has done with this as well is
• 17:38
Speaker 5: you can set it up to have fall protection so
• 17:41
Speaker 5: it can track and see when somebody has fallen down,
• 17:44
Speaker 5: so without them even being able to or having to
• 17:47
Speaker 5: press the button there, then it can detect that somebody
• 17:49
Speaker 5: has fallen. So a nice thing about this versus life
• 17:53
Speaker 5: alayt or some of those other things is you, as
• 17:56
Speaker 5: you know, maybe a caretaker of your elderly parent or
• 17:59
Speaker 5: somebody else that would need this, can get alert to
• 18:01
Speaker 5: yourself as well, so you know, life Alert is just
• 18:04
Speaker 5: sending it out to the authorities and then they call you.
• 18:06
  Speaker 4: This can come.
• 18:07
Speaker 5: Straight to you as well as it's happening, so you
• 18:10
Speaker 5: can get over there if you're a little bit closer
• 18:11
Speaker 5: than maybe an ambulance to be able to get there
• 18:13
  Speaker 5: or whatever.
• 18:13
Speaker 4: So it's very very just you I can see that, yeah,
• 18:16
Speaker 4: I can see how that.
• 18:16
Speaker 3: I mean, if you you know, maybe if you have
• 18:18
Speaker 3: a parent that that you that doesn't need to live
• 18:22
Speaker 3: and assisted living, however you are concerned about you know,
• 18:24
Speaker 3: you could have something set up in their home for
• 18:26
Speaker 3: security anyway, and it could detect something like that where
• 18:28
Speaker 3: they don't have to get to the to the pen
• 18:31
Speaker 3: or whatever it is to to to hit the alert
• 18:33
Speaker 3: that they would be able to be detected.
• 18:34
  Speaker 4: That's another level.
• 18:35
  Speaker 3: I mean, that's pretty nice, that isn't That is a
• 18:37
Speaker 3: nice level of peace in mind? The uh, the other
• 18:42
Speaker 3: thing I wanted to uh to touch on and if
• 18:44
  Speaker 3: I I'm a little bit I'm a little bit weak
• 18:47
Speaker 3: on this because I was trying to do some research
• 18:48
Speaker 3: and I remember from a previous show, But you guys
• 18:50
Speaker 3: can do security for events too, right, So it's not
• 18:53
Speaker 3: just like permanent resident residential area or a permanent business area.
• 18:57
Speaker 3: If if there's an event that needs security, you can
• 18:59
Speaker 3: help with that as well.
• 19:00
Speaker 4: Uh, Am I wrong on that. I'm sorry if I'm
• 19:02
Speaker 4: wrong with that. I haven't heard specifically about that, Okay,
• 19:05
  Speaker 4: I'm sorry. Okay.
• 19:05
Speaker 3: I didn't know if like there was like a like
• 19:07
Speaker 3: a like a concert venue or something like that. I
• 19:08
Speaker 3: didn't know if that was something you guys did or not,
• 19:10
Speaker 3: And so I might be a little bit behind the
• 19:12
Speaker 3: times as far as that goes people in this day
• 19:15
Speaker 3: and age when we start talking about being online a lot,
• 19:17
Speaker 3: you know, so we're talking about having apps on your
• 19:19
Speaker 3: phone and uh Wi Fi sales service things. That means
• 19:22
Speaker 3: there's tons of data that's being shared, that's being stored
• 19:24
Speaker 3: in things along those lines. You guys have top of
• 19:26
Speaker 3: the line security as far as protecting customer data as well.
• 19:29
Speaker 5: Yes, absolutely so just a simple answer on that as
• 19:31
Speaker 5: it stays with us. So we have a monitoring service
• 19:34
Speaker 5: that your information goes into and that is that is
• 19:38
Speaker 5: just protected within our people there and nothing is sold,
• 19:43
Speaker 5: nothing is shared outside of that.
• 19:45
Speaker 3: Excellent, So you can you can rest assured that is
• 19:47
Speaker 3: uh that's gonna be what we'll save. And Josh, before
• 19:49
Speaker 3: we cut you loose here, I thought, maybe I'll give
• 19:51
Speaker 3: you an opportunity. Can you think of a of a
• 19:52
Speaker 3: particular situation, like maybe I don't know, if you have
• 19:56
Speaker 3: like a favorite job that you've installed, or like a
• 19:58
Speaker 3: neat solution you've come up with, or maybe a client
• 20:01
Speaker 3: is college and said, hey, this really worked out for me.
• 20:03
Speaker 3: Do you have like a situation or something you'd like
• 20:04
Speaker 3: to share with folks, just to like kind of share
• 20:07
Speaker 3: like what you think is like a perfect type of deployment.
• 20:10
Speaker 5: One of the most interesting jobs we've done here in
• 20:13
Speaker 5: the recent past is we help Sleepy holl Of golf
• 20:16
Speaker 5: course and Hurricane redo their whole security system, whole new
• 20:19
Speaker 5: video system and everything. So it's just a very extensive job.
• 20:22
Speaker 5: It was just fun to learn about some of the
• 20:24
Speaker 5: different things. Like I said, I'm always learning about new
• 20:26
Speaker 5: business analytics that we can offer, and they're a place
• 20:29
Speaker 5: that really really benefited from that. So you know, in
• 20:32
Speaker 5: their pro shop down in the golf course there, knowing
• 20:35
Speaker 5: what kind of areas people are going to the most,
• 20:37
Speaker 5: what kind of areas are the hotspots in that location. There,
• 20:40
Speaker 5: same thing in your bar area, your restaurant and everything.
• 20:45
Speaker 5: Just knowing what hot spots in the day are and
• 20:47
Speaker 5: kind of for different scheduling purposes. So it was just
• 20:51
Speaker 5: interesting to get to learn about that one. It was
• 20:53
Speaker 5: a very, like I said, extensive, fun job to be
• 20:55
  Speaker 5: a part of.
• 20:56
Speaker 3: So if folks have questions about either their business or
• 20:58
Speaker 3: their residents, if they want to look at security solutions
• 21:01
Speaker 3: or anything like that, what's the first steps that they
• 21:02
Speaker 3: should take to take a look at Jute.
• 21:04
Speaker 5: Just reach out like the contact you gave out before,
• 21:06
Speaker 5: protected by Jute dot com. Kind of read more about
• 21:09
Speaker 5: what we offer, and then there's different ways that you
• 21:11
Speaker 5: can just request a consultation through that. You'd also call
• 21:14
Speaker 5: us at six eight one four hundred. No, sorry, six
• 21:18
Speaker 5: eight one two three three four thousand is the number there,
• 21:21
Speaker 5: So just reach out to that.
• 21:22
Speaker 4: That's great information. The website's great.
• 21:24
Speaker 3: I'd spent a lot of time on it last night
• 21:25
Speaker 3: and this morning taking a look at the different services
• 21:27
Speaker 3: and things that are provided. So again that's protected by June.
• 21:29
Speaker 3: Jute is joot, So I better make sure that, folks,
• 21:32
Speaker 3: because people, you know, with the gift jiff thing and
• 21:34
Speaker 3: everything else, people may not know exactly how that's spelled.
• 21:37
Speaker 4: So Jude is spelled joot. So it's protected by Jute
• 21:40
  Speaker 4: dot com.

Speaker 12: How you doing this this morning? Many? How are you doing?
• 26:14
Speaker 3: I'm doing well, I'm doing well. Thanks for coming in
• 26:15
Speaker 3: and thanks for spending some time with us. I'm going
• 26:17
Speaker 3: to hold Mike over for the remainder of the show today,
• 26:19
Speaker 3: so we're gonna uh oh boy, talk as much as
• 26:21
Speaker 3: you want. If you have questions or comments from Micha,
• 26:23
Speaker 3: are welcome to get in. There's a lot of stuff
• 26:25
Speaker 3: to talk about. There's a lot of things in the
• 26:27
Speaker 3: news in West Virginia. But with your position with the
• 26:29
Speaker 3: Democratic Party, I think it's fair that we talk about
• 26:31
Speaker 3: the convention. It just wrapped up last week. We carried
• 26:33
Speaker 3: it here on WHS. This is a pretty uh a
• 26:36
  Speaker 3: pretty lively convention.
• 26:38
Speaker 12: It was a yeah, it was definitely a lively convention.
• 26:41
Speaker 12: It was so well put together, you know, well produced.
• 26:44
Speaker 12: The speakers were great, We had great music and entertainment.
• 26:47
Speaker 12: We had a great delegation from West Virginia and uh
• 26:50
Speaker 12: just had a great time there in Chicago. And you know,
• 26:54
Speaker 12: it couldn't have been better.
• 26:56
  Speaker 3: What's the what's the mood? Like, I know, there's a
• 26:58
Speaker 3: lot of uh. I guess there's been a lot of
• 27:02
Speaker 3: people trying to assign the motivations as far as calling
• 27:06
Speaker 3: it a coup against Biden, that he was pushed out
• 27:09
Speaker 3: and Democrats were warring internally. I'm a registered independent, so
• 27:14
  Speaker 3: I'm not I don't see a lot of the internal
• 27:17
  Speaker 3: warring right now.
• 27:18
Speaker 4: It seems like that that's actually been put to bed
• 27:19
  Speaker 4: a lot now.
• 27:20
Speaker 12: And yeah, it was surprising, but you know, to see
• 27:22
Speaker 12: how quickly the party united behind Vice President Harris and
• 27:27
Speaker 12: we moved very swiftly and decisively, and we got behind
• 27:32
Speaker 12: our vice president, which is the only logical choice. If
• 27:35
Speaker 12: the president what she did, he graciously decided to step
• 27:40
Speaker 12: aside and let you know, pass the torch to a
• 27:43
Speaker 12: younger generation. So the obvious choice is the vice president.
• 27:47
Speaker 12: That is the role of the vice president to step
• 27:50
Speaker 12: in in times like that. And obviously she's been vetted,
• 27:53
  Speaker 12: she's competent, she's ready, and I think she's showing the
• 27:55
Speaker 12: world just how ready she is. She has you know,
• 27:59
Speaker 12: broad the polling shows that are fundraising numbers, definitely, so
• 28:03
Speaker 12: that she's raised over a half a billion dollars in
• 28:05
Speaker 12: a short period of time since she's been at the
• 28:07
Speaker 12: top of the ticket. And and you know, her campaign
• 28:11
Speaker 12: put on one of the best convention. It's probably the
• 28:13
Speaker 12: best convention I've ever seen. Definitely the best one I've
• 28:17
Speaker 12: ever been to. I've only been to a few, but
• 28:19
Speaker 12: I think it's people who watched it at home told
• 28:21
Speaker 12: me it's the best one they've ever seen as well
• 28:23
  Speaker 12: to me.
• 28:24
Speaker 3: And again, I watched both conventions all the way through,
• 28:26
Speaker 3: a Republican and the Democratic convention. And I've done that
• 28:29
Speaker 3: pretty much every year to some level or another. And
• 28:33
Speaker 3: in twenty sixteen, when former President Trump was run against
• 28:38
Speaker 3: Hillary Clinton, it seemed like the Democrats were trying to
• 28:41
Speaker 3: lean a little bit into the Obama you know, hope
• 28:46
Speaker 3: and vision of American things along those lines that because
• 28:50
  Speaker 3: of I think Clinton's unfortunate unpopularity generally, I don't know
• 28:55
Speaker 3: that that was really catching the way it was supposed to.
• 28:57
Speaker 3: It seems like that that skipping over like sort of
• 29:01
Speaker 3: using some of what Biden used as his coalition building,
• 29:04
Speaker 3: but also going back to the Obama era coalition building
• 29:07
Speaker 3: and talking a lot more broadly. It feels like that
• 29:10
Speaker 3: they've been able to embrace that a lot better than
• 29:12
Speaker 3: what they did even in twenty sixteen.
• 29:14
Speaker 12: Yeah. Well, I think the part that was really telling
• 29:16
Speaker 12: you the amount of Republican speakers we had at the
• 29:18
Speaker 12: Democratic Convention, people who are being true patriots and putting
• 29:22
Speaker 12: country ahead of party and telling exactly what they know
• 29:26
Speaker 12: about former President Trump and how a second Trump presidency
• 29:30
Speaker 12: that how dangerous that would be for this country and
• 29:32
Speaker 12: for our Democratic Republic.
• 29:34
  Speaker 4: Yeah, very true.
• 29:35
Speaker 3: By the way, again, if you have any questions from
• 29:37
Speaker 3: y threes are A four three, four, five, fifty eight
• 29:38
Speaker 3: fifty eight, you can text threes are four nine, three, five,
• 29:40
Speaker 3: five zeros or eight. So I saw mostly the prom
• 29:43
Speaker 3: time stuff. I didn't see the convention goes on all day,
• 29:45
Speaker 3: there speakers. I saw highlights both for the Republican and
• 29:47
Speaker 3: the Democratic Convention, their speakers going on all throughout the
• 29:50
Speaker 3: day that have different levels of engagement and headliner status.
• 29:56
Speaker 3: But you saw a lot more than what a lot
• 29:58
Speaker 3: of people did. What do you think feel for your
• 30:00
Speaker 3: party's platform? What was by the main speakers and the
• 30:03
Speaker 3: smaller speakers that were there. What do you take away
• 30:06
Speaker 3: that where the Democratic Party can help the state of
• 30:08
  Speaker 3: West Virginia.
• 30:11
Speaker 12: Well, I mean the whole thing was the way it
• 30:15
Speaker 12: was put together. I mean it was about, you know,
• 30:17
Speaker 12: just there was such a positive energy and how it
• 30:19
Speaker 12: will help the state of West Virginia. It already has
• 30:22
Speaker 12: helped the state of West Virginia. And all these announcements,
• 30:25
Speaker 12: whether it's about new core form energy, green motors here
• 30:29
Speaker 12: in Kannall County, and that was all done in large
• 30:32
Speaker 12: part through legislation that was led by President Biden and
• 30:36
Speaker 12: Vice President Harris when they had the cooperation from Congress
• 30:40
Speaker 12: during the first two years that has benefited West Virginia.
• 30:43
Speaker 12: We would not hear all these great economic development announcements
• 30:46
Speaker 12: had it not been for those two years. So yeah,
• 30:50
Speaker 12: we need more of that moving with all this investment
• 30:53
Speaker 12: into the state. You know, with the American Rescue Plan,
• 30:56
Speaker 12: the investment went straight to local local governments and municipalities.
• 31:01
Speaker 12: That was unprecedented. You know, before that, when we had
• 31:04
Speaker 12: the Cares Act, the first round of COVID relief money
• 31:08
Speaker 12: from the Trump administration, and you know, we were all
• 31:10
Speaker 12: grateful for that. We needed that relief money, but it
• 31:13
Speaker 12: went directly to the state and the governor had control
• 31:15
Speaker 12: over it. It didn't go out for a year and
• 31:17
Speaker 12: a half. No money was spent, and when it did,
• 31:19
Speaker 12: it came out in the form of the baby Dog
• 31:21
Speaker 12: sweepstakes to try to encourage people to get vaccinated. That
• 31:25
Speaker 12: didn't work, and it was a waste of taxpayers money.
• 31:28
Speaker 12: And that's why we had the Biden administration, had the
• 31:31
Speaker 12: Force with the help of Senator Mansion, had the foresight
• 31:33
Speaker 12: to send the money directly to where the rubber meets
• 31:35
Speaker 12: the road, directly to the counties and the municipalities. And
• 31:39
Speaker 12: we've seen the results of that. That's what helped us
• 31:41
Speaker 12: get through the pandemic. So the Democratic Party has already
• 31:46
Speaker 12: been working for West Virginia.
• 31:47
Speaker 3: And then look at Mike pushed is with us this morning.
• 31:49
Speaker 3: We have a caller this called in this morning, has
• 31:51
Speaker 3: a question or call met Brent Is on the Law
• 31:53
  Speaker 3: Enforce this morning.
• 31:54
Speaker 4: Brent, good morning, how you doing this morning?
• 31:56
  Speaker 13: Doing it yourself?
• 31:57
Speaker 4: Doing very well? Thanks for calling and I appreciate it great.
• 32:00
Speaker 13: Ay, Mike, I don't know whether this is true or
• 32:03
Speaker 13: false or just scuttle butter whatever. But I was told
• 32:06
Speaker 13: that part of Vice President's platform for the upcoming years
• 32:15
Speaker 13: talking about the green information, is that she wants to
• 32:19
Speaker 13: reduce subsidies to farmers to try to reduce beef and
• 32:27
Speaker 13: reduce the methane gas emission from the cows.
• 32:31
Speaker 12: I've not heard anything about that, about reducing beef. That
• 32:35
Speaker 12: is not something that came up at all during any
• 32:38
Speaker 12: of the Earth you know, any of the platform meetings
• 32:40
Speaker 12: during the convention. I you know, I'll go back and
• 32:44
Speaker 12: read it, but I've not seen anything in our platform.
• 32:47
Speaker 12: Definitely not in our state platform, but nothing in the
• 32:49
Speaker 12: national platform as far as reducing beef production.
• 32:54
Speaker 13: Well, that's good and methane from cows. Did you know
• 32:57
Speaker 13: that there are calve food people out there that are
• 33:01
Speaker 13: making food that reduce emissions.
• 33:09
Speaker 12: I'm sorry I lost you there. Oh yeah, wall yeah,
• 33:12
Speaker 12: we can hear you now back.
• 33:13
  Speaker 4: Now, yeah, yeah.
• 33:15
Speaker 13: Did you know that there are companies out there making
• 33:17
Speaker 13: food for cows that reduce those emissions.
• 33:20
Speaker 12: I didn't know that, but that's good to know. And
• 33:22
Speaker 12: you know, I, you know, personally, you know, enjoy a
• 33:26
Speaker 12: steak or a cheeseburger from time to time, so I
• 33:29
Speaker 12: wouldn't want to see any sort of reduction in that,
• 33:31
  Speaker 12: so I don't I don't believe that that is the
• 33:34
Speaker 12: case that they're going to be cutting back on beef
• 33:36
Speaker 12: production here in this country.
• 33:38
Speaker 13: Okay, thank you very much.
• 33:40
Speaker 3: I appreciate the phone call that leaves the phone line
• 33:41
Speaker 3: open for you. Three are four three four five fifty
• 33:43
Speaker 3: eight fifty eight. Three Zerre four three four five fifty
• 33:45
Speaker 3: eight fifty eight. I've looked at that. I've heard this
• 33:47
  Speaker 3: before about.
• 33:48
  Speaker 4: I don't know.
• 33:48
Speaker 3: It seems like it's not the serious politicians. It seems
• 33:51
Speaker 3: to be like the very online politicians, the ones that
• 33:54
Speaker 3: are constantly on X posting that that you see this
• 33:56
Speaker 3: thing about coming for your red meter.
• 33:58
Speaker 4: I can't find any to that.
• 34:00
Speaker 3: I think that it has to do with maybe the
• 34:03
Speaker 3: recommendations for the nutritional guidelines or something, but I can't find.
• 34:08
Speaker 3: If it's out there, send me a leak.
• 34:09
Speaker 12: The Democrats aren't coming to take away your steaks, your cheeseburgers.
• 34:13
Speaker 12: We're not coming to take away anything. We're coming to
• 34:16
Speaker 12: restore freedom and rights that have been taken away through
• 34:20
Speaker 12: this Supreme Court that was appointed largely by Donald Trump.
• 34:26
Speaker 12: We want to restore rights. We want to restore freedoms.
• 34:29
Speaker 12: We're not taking anything from anybody.
• 34:31
Speaker 3: Yeah, the beef thing is a little strange. It's weird
• 34:34
Speaker 3: how that's become a political thing, like the the the yeah,
• 34:39
Speaker 3: like yeah exactly, or like how fake beef is somehow
• 34:42
Speaker 3: like a like a woke or a liberal thing or what.
• 34:43
Speaker 3: There's some people number one that can't eat beef. There's
• 34:46
Speaker 3: some places in the world where they can't get beef.
• 34:48
Speaker 3: I mean, what's wrong with creating a protein substitute that
• 34:51
Speaker 3: people can consume safely. You don't have to eat it,
• 34:54
Speaker 3: just let people that want to eat it eat it.
• 34:56
Speaker 3: What's wrong with it?
• 34:58
Speaker 12: I'm for freedom and all around. I'm going to eat
• 35:01
Speaker 12: what you want to eat as long as you don't
• 35:03
  Speaker 12: hurt anybody else.
• 35:03
Speaker 4: Man, I'm going to eat my cow. But if somebody
• 35:05
Speaker 4: else doesn't want it, I can tell.
• 35:06
Speaker 12: When Democrats get together behind closed doors, it is not
• 35:10
Speaker 12: what we talk pet, Are you sure?
• 35:11
  Speaker 9: No?
• 35:12
Speaker 12: Is not We don't talk about taking away anything. In fact,
• 35:14
Speaker 12: sometimes when we're meeting, sometimes we eat steaks or cheeseburgers.
• 35:19
  Speaker 4: It's not something.
• 35:21
Speaker 3: The farm subsidy thing is actually an interesting conversation, not
• 35:23
Speaker 3: one for us today, but there's an interesting conversation that
• 35:25
Speaker 3: we had about our farm subsidies.
• 35:27
Speaker 12: I'll come back on something.
• 35:28
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, well we'll shoot that sometimes. Yeah, that's not
• 35:31
Speaker 3: something we're going to uh, we're going to do today.
• 35:33
  Speaker 4: Let's see.
• 35:34
Speaker 3: Ask Mike why VP Harris hasn't done a press conference
• 35:37
Speaker 3: to discuss her policies that she wants to act as president.
• 35:40
Speaker 12: Well, she's been traveling around having all sorts of rallies
• 35:44
Speaker 12: and going into a lot of the swing states that
• 35:46
Speaker 12: are going to termine the outcome of this election. I'm
• 35:49
Speaker 12: sure she will be having a more press conferences soon.
• 35:53
Speaker 12: I did see where former President Trump is now trying
• 35:56
Speaker 12: to back out of the debates. That's interesting. I think
• 36:01
Speaker 12: he is. He seems to be afraid to go up
• 36:03
Speaker 12: against a prosecutor, and I think the nation really would
• 36:06
Speaker 12: like to see that match up, the felon versus the prosecutor.
• 36:09
Speaker 12: I think it would be interesting. I think the people
• 36:11
Speaker 12: deserve to see that. So why is President Trump now
• 36:14
Speaker 12: afraid to debate? That's the question.
• 36:16
Speaker 3: I have an additional question for that, especially in this state,
• 36:19
Speaker 3: in the background that we're having with problems with our
• 36:22
Speaker 3: media getting access, and so I don't want to seem
• 36:24
Speaker 3: to talk out of both sides in my mouth here.
• 36:26
Speaker 3: But the one thing that the national media drives me
• 36:28
Speaker 3: crazy about is when they talk to presidential candidates, all
• 36:30
Speaker 3: they talk about to the other candidate. So maybe the
• 36:33
Speaker 3: reason that Harris doesn't want to do a press conference
• 36:35
Speaker 3: because all she's going to do is to get questions
• 36:36
Speaker 3: about Trump. She's not going to get questions about like
• 36:38
Speaker 3: what she wants to do. It's all going to be
• 36:39
Speaker 3: and then the other way around, like when he does
• 36:42
Speaker 3: a press conference, all he gets good these questions about
• 36:44
Speaker 3: what he wants to say about her.
• 36:45
Speaker 4: Where's the policy discussion at in that?
• 36:46
Speaker 12: Maybe that's why, well, generally, I mean, and when President
• 36:50
Speaker 12: Trump gets up, it's more just about an airing of
• 36:52
Speaker 12: the grievances. And I said, but it's like you know,
• 36:55
Speaker 12: frank A stands at Festivus dinner.
• 37:00
Speaker 3: Okay, two things. I want to try to clean this up.
• 37:02
Speaker 3: We'll take a break and then we'll come back and
• 37:03
Speaker 3: do some more. I asked for a link on Harris
• 37:06
Speaker 3: saying that she was going to band red meat. I
• 37:09
Speaker 3: was sent a link that was a transcript from a
• 37:14
Speaker 3: thing that she did in twenty eighteen, I think, And
• 37:17
Speaker 3: she says that she would be interested in changing the
• 37:19
  Speaker 3: nutritional guidelines recommendations.
• 37:22
  Speaker 12: That's a recommendation that's different than that's that's like saying
• 37:25
Speaker 12: you should eat you know, the four foods.
• 37:27
Speaker 4: And also those things change like every four years and
• 37:29
Speaker 4: nobody pays attention to So I don't.
• 37:30
Speaker 12: Think that's not going to keep anybody from getting their steak.
• 37:33
Speaker 3: If there's more than let me know. But I just
• 37:35
Speaker 3: haven't said. This is what I had seen too, so
• 37:36
Speaker 3: I thought there was something stronger.
• 37:37
Speaker 12: Well, people need to be very careful for what they
• 37:40
Speaker 12: what they're reading on the internet and try to fact
• 37:43
Speaker 12: check things themselves. I mean, there's a whole lot of
• 37:45
Speaker 12: just fake stuff out there on the internet to try
• 37:49
Speaker 12: to to get people worked up on one side or
• 37:52
Speaker 12: the other. Fact of the matter is Democrats are not
• 37:54
Speaker 12: going to take away anything. We want to restore things
• 37:58
Speaker 12: that have been taken away, like your personal freedoms.
• 38:01
Speaker 3: So one final text in and you guys are welcome
• 38:05
Speaker 3: to call in. You don't have to just send threes
• 38:07
Speaker 3: or four, three, fifty fifty eight. This is all caps,
• 38:12
Speaker 3: and no, he is not avoiding the debate. I think
• 38:14
Speaker 3: in regard to Trump, she is trying to change the
• 38:17
Speaker 3: debate rules try again.
• 38:20
Speaker 12: Well, we have a new candidate. She wants different. I
• 38:22
Speaker 12: think what it is one thing was talking about he
• 38:25
Speaker 12: had the They did the mic cut off, which I
• 38:29
Speaker 12: think actually helped Trump because he cannot control himself. He
• 38:33
Speaker 12: is unable to control himself like a petulant child. He
• 38:36
Speaker 12: can't stop talking in between the answers, so it helped
• 38:41
Speaker 12: him to have the mic cut off.
• 38:42
Speaker 4: Can you win the debate or not? I mean, yeah,
• 38:45
  Speaker 4: I don't know.
• 38:46
Speaker 12: Look, I just I'm just I just want to see
• 38:47
Speaker 12: the two debate several times. It would be great, but
• 38:50
  Speaker 12: at least once.
• 38:51
Speaker 3: This thing that we've gotten into where we only do
• 38:53
Speaker 3: two or three of these things is a little bit
• 38:55
Speaker 3: a little bad too. I think we need you need
• 38:57
Speaker 3: more debate, not less, and there needs to be a
• 38:59
  Speaker 3: better You know.
• 39:00
Speaker 12: Who else needs the debate? Jim Justice, he wants to
• 39:03
Speaker 12: be our next senator. He refuses to debate Glenn Elliott,
• 39:07
Speaker 12: you know, elsetings to debate Patrick Morrissey when he's running
• 39:09
Speaker 12: for governor, refuses to debate Steve Williams. So I think
• 39:12
Speaker 12: the people of West Virginia deserve to hear their candidates
• 39:15
  Speaker 12: debate as well.
• 39:16
Speaker 3: I'll tell you what Let's let's do this first. We
• 39:18
Speaker 3: have Chuck on the line. Let's take Chuck's phone call.
• 39:20
  Speaker 3: We'll take a break, we'll come back. We'll talk a
• 39:21
Speaker 3: little bit about justice and the story surrounding that. Chuck,
• 39:24
Speaker 3: go ahead, you're online.
• 39:26
Speaker 14: Just a kind of non political question about the convention.
• 39:29
Speaker 14: I know, all the delegates and all were seated on
• 39:31
Speaker 14: the floor, thousands of you guys. Who was up in
• 39:34
Speaker 14: the chief seats? Who were all the other people there?
• 39:36
Speaker 14: And how they get in?
• 39:38
Speaker 12: Yeah, the delegates are like all in the lower bowl.
• 39:41
Speaker 12: And then there were seats for guests, whether it's friends
• 39:45
Speaker 12: or family of the delegates or you know, other a
• 39:48
Speaker 12: lot of you know, some of the locals from Chicago
• 39:51
Speaker 12: that were there. It seemed like it's every delegation has
• 39:54
Speaker 12: a certain amount of guest passes.
• 39:57
Speaker 3: So and then if you could get general mission too, right,
• 40:00
Speaker 3: like you can just go if you want to, right,
• 40:02
Speaker 3: you can buy to take it.
• 40:02
Speaker 12: It was packed, and yeah, you had to get it generally,
• 40:05
Speaker 12: would have to get it through another organization, right, so
• 40:09
Speaker 12: state delegation. I mean, that's like it with any convention.
• 40:12
Speaker 12: I mean, well, any convention where there's that much interest
• 40:14
Speaker 12: and people want to get in. I mean, I've not
• 40:16
Speaker 12: seen one that packed. I mean it was a Thursday night,
• 40:19
Speaker 12: was just incredibly packed and packed house.
• 40:24
  Speaker 4: I thought.
• 40:24
Speaker 12: What was interesting too, I believe it was on Tuesday
• 40:27
Speaker 12: night while the convention hall at the United Center in
• 40:30
Speaker 12: Chicago was packed, Vice President Harris did another rally up
• 40:34
Speaker 12: the road in Milwaukee where the Republicans held their convention
• 40:38
Speaker 12: a few weeks ago, and she packed that house as well.
• 40:40
Speaker 12: So we actually had two packed convention centers in one night. Impressive.
• 40:46
Speaker 14: But a person just could have gotten a ticket, just
• 40:48
Speaker 14: like going to a ball game, if they wanted to
• 40:50
  Speaker 14: go for it.
• 40:51
Speaker 12: No, it said, no, you don't pay for them. You
• 40:53
Speaker 12: would have to get them through a state delegation or
• 40:58
Speaker 12: someone who had an allotment of tickets. But it's not
• 41:00
Speaker 12: like you'd go to ticket to Ticketmaster again, not like that.
• 41:03
Speaker 4: You'd have to go.
• 41:04
Speaker 12: Through a different party entity way to the state party
• 41:08
Speaker 12: or somebody through the DNC, or they have guest passes
• 41:10
Speaker 12: that we're given out. But there were more interest in
• 41:13
Speaker 12: that convention that I've seen in a long time. That's
• 41:15
Speaker 12: why it was there. There were no empty seats throughout
• 41:18
Speaker 12: the entire United Center.
• 41:21
Speaker 4: Thank you, Chuck, appreciate the funk call. Thanks a bunch.
• 41:23
Speaker 4: Let's go ahead and do this.
• 41:24

Speaker 3: Do Republicans realize that with the RFK Junior endorsement that
• 45:13
Speaker 3: you're bringing a lot more controlling of food onto your platform.
• 45:18
Speaker 3: I don't know if the endorsement adds it to your platform,
• 45:20
Speaker 3: but Junior does have some weird He.
• 45:22
Speaker 12: Has some weird believes on enforcing health laws. You know,
• 45:26
Speaker 12: so one the last caller was worried about the Democrats
• 45:30
Speaker 12: position on on beef. You know, I'm a little bit
• 45:33
Speaker 12: concerned about this RFK Junior's position on bear meat.
• 45:38
Speaker 4: Yeah right, but you know what, what about fake bear meat?
• 45:42
Speaker 12: But he has every right to do that except for
• 45:44
Speaker 12: leaving me, you know, leaving the carcass in the park
• 45:47
Speaker 12: with a bicycle. That's strange, a little weird, Yeah, little weird.
• 45:51
Speaker 3: Let's see, we also got a text. Well this is
• 45:53
Speaker 3: what we wanted to talk about anyway a little bit.
• 45:54
Speaker 3: So from the seven six zero nine hundred. Who do
• 45:57
Speaker 3: you think bailed out Jim Justice the sought the Russians
• 46:00
Speaker 3: a guf mega donor.
• 46:02
  Speaker 4: We really don't.
• 46:03
Speaker 12: We don't know, don't tell us. And that's that should
• 46:06
Speaker 12: be concerning to all West Virginia. So this man wants
• 46:09
Speaker 12: to represent us in the United States Senate and we
• 46:11
Speaker 12: don't know who he owes this money to. And it's
• 46:13
Speaker 12: quite a bit of money. I mean, one day we're
• 46:16
Speaker 12: hearing that he because of his failure to pay his debts,
• 46:19
Speaker 12: which is nothing new with Governor Justice, but that the
• 46:22
Speaker 12: America's resort the crown Jewel of West Virginia at the
• 46:26
Speaker 12: Greenbrier Resort is going to be on the auction block,
• 46:28
Speaker 12: and then all of a sudden he gets bailed out,
• 46:30
Speaker 12: and he won't tell us where the money came from.
• 46:32
Speaker 12: We don't know if it's Saudist, we don't know if
• 46:34
Speaker 12: it is Russians, We don't know who it is. So
• 46:36
Speaker 12: I guess we would find out if he puts in
• 46:40
Speaker 12: a ethics report and the financial disclosures to the Ethics Commission,
• 46:45
Speaker 12: but that doesn't come until February after the election. So yeah,
• 46:50
Speaker 12: I'm very concerned about that, and everybody should be. We
• 46:53
Speaker 12: don't want somebody who is that compromised in the United
• 46:56
Speaker 12: States Senate, somebody who owes that kind of favor to
• 46:59
Speaker 12: some addy and we don't even know who they owe
• 47:01
  Speaker 12: the favor to.
• 47:02
  Speaker 3: It is a I mean, I'm not I'm not e
• 47:05
Speaker 3: rooted enough with local or national politics and individually to
• 47:09
Speaker 3: know about history of these things. But this is seems
• 47:12
Speaker 3: like a very if not a unicorn moment, is just
• 47:16
Speaker 3: one that doesn't come along a long time where you
• 47:18
Speaker 3: have somebody and justice position, and and the way the
• 47:21
Speaker 3: governor not only has been governor, but running his business
• 47:24
Speaker 3: while being governor, and then now transitioning over to running
• 47:26
Speaker 3: for Senate. There's just a lot of questions. And again
• 47:29
Speaker 3: we talk about, you know, the media access with things
• 47:32
Speaker 3: like this, there hasn't been a lot of goodwill extended
• 47:35
Speaker 3: in that way. And I don't know, I mean, the
• 47:39
Speaker 3: media in West Virginia is not really that harsh, you know,
• 47:42
  Speaker 3: for anyone.
• 47:42
Speaker 12: I mean right here at Metro News. Brad mclahanny, that's
• 47:45
Speaker 12: who the governor wants to kick out of his press
• 47:47
Speaker 12: car want to look fair and balanced, like the real
• 47:51
Speaker 12: definition of fair and balanced in the dictionary. They probably
• 47:53
Speaker 12: have a picture of Brad there. Brad is very fair,
• 47:56
Speaker 12: very balanced. He doesn't push one way or the other.
• 48:01
Speaker 12: He works for this network, which in my opinion leans
• 48:04
Speaker 12: to the right. Okay it does, And to remove him
• 48:08
Speaker 12: from your press conferences for asking good questions and the
• 48:11
Speaker 12: people deserve to know about this. Where this guy wants
• 48:14
Speaker 12: to be in the United States Senate represent West Virginia
• 48:16
Speaker 12: in the United States Senate. We don't know who bailed
• 48:19
Speaker 12: him out. He won't answer questions about the fact that
• 48:21
Speaker 12: he's stole money from his own workers at the resort,
• 48:24
Speaker 12: didn't pay their insurance premiums. They could lose their health care,
• 48:29
Speaker 12: you know, and it's the variety of problems that he has.
• 48:32
Speaker 12: But to me, that's you know, not paying his uh,
• 48:35
Speaker 12: not remitting a sales taxes. That's that's illegal. Also, how
• 48:39
Speaker 12: is he still able to still have a casino? How
• 48:41
Speaker 12: does he still have that license? How does he have
• 48:43
Speaker 12: how do they selling liquor down there at the any
• 48:46
Speaker 12: other bar, if you didn't pay your sales tax, you
• 48:48
Speaker 12: would be shut down, any business would be Why is
• 48:52
Speaker 12: he getting this type of special treatment? And another question
• 48:54
Speaker 12: I have is where's the attorney general in all this?
• 48:56
Speaker 12: I mean, he wants to be governor, you know, the
• 49:00
Speaker 12: guy the you know, the most dangerous place in Charleston's
• 49:03
Speaker 12: between him and a microphone and a camera. But he
• 49:05
Speaker 12: won't say anything about Jim Justice.
• 49:08
Speaker 3: It is, uh, there's just a regardless of what political
• 49:11
Speaker 3: side you be. And I would think that when there's
• 49:13
Speaker 3: questions like this, that you just that if there was
• 49:16
Speaker 3: no if there was no concern with that, it seems
• 49:19
Speaker 3: like would be the first thing you would lead with.
• 49:20
  Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know, I'm just thinking that if
• 49:22
Speaker 3: you wanted to decap anybody that had allegations of you know,
• 49:27
Speaker 3: vague what's going on, here. You just reveal the data, right, say,
• 49:30
Speaker 3: like what fake news? What are you guys talking about?
• 49:32
  Speaker 2: Right?
• 49:32
Speaker 3: That would be one occurrence that you could do that, right,
• 49:35
Speaker 3: you have the data where you could prove it.
• 49:37
  Speaker 4: Why not? I don't know. I mean, I don't know.
• 49:39
Speaker 3: It's it's more money than I've ever been accustomed to
• 49:41
Speaker 3: dealing with. So there's things that I don't understand about it.
• 49:43
  Speaker 4: But I don't know. It's it's it's questions. It seems
• 49:46
Speaker 4: like that's fair game.
• 49:47
Speaker 12: Well I feel bad for the employees down there or
• 49:51
Speaker 12: of that sort of uncertainty because they're working for a
• 49:53
Speaker 12: guy who wants to use their money money was supposed
• 49:58
Speaker 12: to go towards their healthcare, use it as interest free loan.
• 50:02
Speaker 12: Where did the money go? He's using it somewhere else.
• 50:04
Speaker 12: He's not having to pay any interest on it. Same
• 50:06
Speaker 12: with the sales tax that he was supposed to be
• 50:08
Speaker 12: turning over to the state. That's not his money, that's
• 50:10
Speaker 12: supposed to go directly back to the state coffer that is,
• 50:13
Speaker 12: that's a sales tax, and he's using it once again
• 50:17
Speaker 12: like interest free loan to me. That should be illegal
• 50:21
Speaker 12: and and somebody should look into it. Unfortunately, we have
• 50:24
Speaker 12: this one sided government down here that that will turn
• 50:27
Speaker 12: their head when it's one of their own breaking the law.
• 50:30
  Speaker 13: Uh.
• 50:31
Speaker 12: But then you know, has all sorts of you know,
• 50:34
Speaker 12: fake press conferences over over going after the perceived threats
• 50:39
Speaker 12: from the from the federal government.
• 50:41
Speaker 4: What before we cut you loose.
• 50:42
Speaker 3: We just have a couple of minutes left here of
• 50:45
Speaker 3: the I need to mention that you're in interims right now.
• 50:48
  Speaker 4: What's going What's what's going on?
• 50:50
Speaker 12: You know, speaking of the Attorney general who's also running
• 50:53
Speaker 12: for governor, we had a very interesting, uh, inter meeting
• 50:56
Speaker 12: yesterday and heard a lot of really bad news that
• 50:58
Speaker 12: we've known unfortunately for years, by how West Virginia continues
• 51:01
Speaker 12: to lead the country in overdose deaths, We continue to
• 51:05
Speaker 12: lead the country and children being taken out of their homes,
• 51:07
Speaker 12: children in the foster care system, and you know what
• 51:09
Speaker 12: the second place state isn't even close. Uh. And we
• 51:14
Speaker 12: we created the you know, the Attorney General created this
• 51:16
Speaker 12: West Virginia First Foundation hopefully be a clearinghouse for these
• 51:21
Speaker 12: funds that we've gotten through the through these settlements. You
• 51:23
Speaker 12: got to remember, these settlements aren't a windfall. We've got
• 51:26
Speaker 12: those because of death of our loved ones and destruction
• 51:29
Speaker 12: to the state and just the uh, you know what,
• 51:32
Speaker 12: the havoc that is Greeked by this drug epidemic and
• 51:35
Speaker 12: it has gone to this West Virginia First Foundation. Yesterday
• 51:37
Speaker 12: it's like, no money's gone out yet and it's not
• 51:40
Speaker 12: going out for a while. And instead, what what I
• 51:42
Speaker 12: learned yesterday is they're staffing up. First of all, they
• 51:45
Speaker 12: have this board that could be there to go through
• 51:48
Speaker 12: the applications. They're hired. They brought in this panel. That's great,
• 51:51
Speaker 12: But now they're bringing in paid staffers, one of which
• 51:55
Speaker 12: is a as a marketing uh marketing officer. Why would
• 52:00
Speaker 12: you need to market giving out money? It makes absolutely
• 52:03
Speaker 12: no sense to me. So it seems like it's just,
• 52:05
Speaker 12: you know, more for show, and it's really it's it's
• 52:08
  Speaker 12: to me, it's it's disgusting. They're taking this money, that's
• 52:11
Speaker 12: blood money in West Virginia and using it to create
• 52:14
Speaker 12: all these new positions, high paid positions. I want to
• 52:17
Speaker 12: see the money out where it helps people. It's it's
• 52:20
Speaker 12: too late for a lot of people. It's gone on
• 52:23
  Speaker 12: too long.
• 52:24
  Speaker 4: That's delicate.
• 52:25
Speaker 3: Mike Pushkin with a compassion plea there and a lot
• 52:27
