- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Almost Famous podcast with iHeartRadio.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Hello. I'm like, maybe we should take like every other
- 0:15Speaker 2: or like one of us intros, because I feel like
- 0:19Speaker 2: we're both always like Okay, who's going to say it?
- 0:23Speaker 3: Almost Famous the Ogs.
- 0:24Speaker 4: We're back with our finale recap Special Forces the World's
- 0:31Speaker 4: Toughest Test.
- 0:32Speaker 5: Yeah, so good.
- 0:33Speaker 4: Was blown away by that episode away, right, I mean honestly, like,
- 0:40Speaker 4: it was so incredibly intense.
- 0:42Speaker 3: I was, yeah, oh my gosh.
- 0:45Speaker 4: I mean, first of all, Spoilerer, we're going to talk
- 0:48Speaker 4: about the finale, so get over it. You know, it's
- 0:51Speaker 4: all over the place now at this point. But the
- 0:54Speaker 4: final five, right, we had Cam Golden, Kayla, Alana Brody
- 1:01Speaker 4: left Ye at the start.
- 1:03Speaker 5: Yeah, and.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Very quickly.
- 1:09Speaker 4: It just got ratcheted up, man, I mean it was
- 1:12Speaker 4: insane how intense that whole interrogation process was. And wow,
- 1:17Speaker 4: I mean basically waterboarding, you know, it was really Banana
- 1:22Speaker 4: stripped them down, had them freezing in their business, just
- 1:26Speaker 4: going after it, challenging everything that they think about themselves.
- 1:30Speaker 3: And what really are their motivators, and.
- 1:34Speaker 4: With Alana really playing into the fact that they knew
- 1:37Speaker 4: she missed her family, so they were just hitting that
- 1:40Speaker 4: ale hard.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Then that woman, what kind of mother are you? It's like,
- 1:45Speaker 3: I know, God.
- 1:47Speaker 2: So in our group chat, Kayla wrote Alana and said,
- 1:52Speaker 2: I she's like, I don't know how you did it, Alana.
- 1:54Speaker 5: I would have snapped when that woman said that to her.
- 1:58Speaker 2: It would have been the same way I like, I mean,
- 2:01Speaker 2: oh my god, do you think I'm like a selfish mother?
- 2:04Speaker 5: But what I'm really like? I I've always.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Believed in the the saying or the phrase that you
- 2:16Speaker 2: put your oxygen mask on first. You know, you got
- 2:19Speaker 2: to take care of yourself before you can take care
- 2:21Speaker 2: of other people. And this was an opportunity for all
- 2:24Speaker 2: of us to grow. And obviously I think that she
- 2:28Speaker 2: got a lot out of it, but just to hear that,
- 2:31Speaker 2: because that's all of our as a mother, that is
- 2:35Speaker 2: your your worst fear, that you're being selfish, that you're
- 2:39Speaker 2: like a bad mom, you know, And for her that,
- 2:44Speaker 2: oh my god.
- 2:46Speaker 4: I was like watching it because I was so I
- 2:48Speaker 4: had I had a late night last night, so I
- 2:50Speaker 4: had to watch it this morning as I was going
- 2:53Speaker 4: through the airport and I had my my my earbuds
- 2:56Speaker 4: in and I must have been like reacting because I'm
- 3:00Speaker 4: walking past people and they're like looking at me, and
- 3:02Speaker 4: I'm like, oh, oh my god, I can't believe she
- 3:04Speaker 4: said that.
- 3:04Speaker 3: It was like I must have a disaster. They must
- 3:08Speaker 3: have been like, why is that dude yelling by himself?
- 3:11Speaker 4: But I was like, I couldn't believe they went there
- 3:13Speaker 4: with Alana because she seems like so sweet and but like,
- 3:16Speaker 4: you know, it was one of those things they probably
- 3:19Speaker 4: they identified that and they just start picking at it,
- 3:21Speaker 4: picking at it, picking baby crying in her earphones and
- 3:26Speaker 4: oh my gosh.
- 3:28Speaker 2: I always said, if I made it to the last day,
- 3:30Speaker 2: that would have been I don't know if I could
- 3:32Speaker 2: have done it.
- 3:33Speaker 5: And she last lasted for I think they said five.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Hours, five freaking hours of listening to a baby crying
- 3:42Speaker 2: and others. I think they have other stuff in there, too,
- 3:45Speaker 2: but I can not, especially after they literally just showed
- 3:51Speaker 2: her a video and of her babies like being like
- 3:54Speaker 2: we miss you, mommy. You know, oh, I just pulled
- 3:58Speaker 2: on my heartstrings.
- 3:59Speaker 4: When he had Golden Tate on the other day and
- 4:01Speaker 4: he mentioned that that was you know, they wait till
- 4:03Speaker 4: that last day to to show you the videos from
- 4:05Speaker 4: your family, and it's like, oh my gosh, man and
- 4:08Speaker 4: then Cam.
- 4:09Speaker 3: I mean, that.
- 4:10Speaker 4: Guy was just right in his business, and I was surprised, honestly,
- 4:15Speaker 4: I was surprised at how composed Cam was to that
- 4:18Speaker 4: whole thing, you know, because there was some moments where
- 4:20Speaker 4: that guy was really pushing his buttons and trying so
- 4:22Speaker 4: hard to get him.
- 4:23Speaker 3: To just snap, you know.
- 4:25Speaker 4: So so okay, so let's talk about this. So we
- 4:28Speaker 4: got so Alana goes first. Then Cam no, no, Cam stays.
- 4:33Speaker 5: What are you talking about?
- 4:35Speaker 3: Well, I'm trying to think about how how it was
- 4:37Speaker 3: like when people left, like from the interrogation. Alana was
- 4:40Speaker 3: the first one to leave from the atarior.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Oh yeah, but but we should probably back up because
- 4:45Speaker 2: the this is like the second day of right, you
- 4:48Speaker 2: know this, So let's let's go from the beginning. Let's yes, yes,
- 4:52Speaker 2: talk about the fact that they they started out and
- 4:56Speaker 2: they actually I think they did the like fighting the
- 5:00Speaker 2: like here whatever that red suited guyable, I.
- 5:06Speaker 3: Am tellit.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Right, like they really had to be in the zone
- 5:13Speaker 2: to fight and then to pull yourself out of like
- 5:17Speaker 2: being such an aggressor and having to tap into that
- 5:21Speaker 2: like that angry part of yourself where you really have
- 5:26Speaker 2: to fight for your life and then just switch it off.
- 5:30Speaker 3: Crazy.
- 5:30Speaker 2: I mean, when else in the world do you ever
- 5:33Speaker 2: have that kind of like training, you know, never ever,
- 5:38Speaker 2: ever would you ever like, you know, go through that
- 5:42Speaker 2: and get to the point where you're being like yelled
- 5:45Speaker 2: at to fight harder and then yelled at to stop
- 5:48Speaker 2: just as quickly, you know, and you crazy like you
- 5:52Speaker 2: just you're done.
- 5:53Speaker 5: Yeah, I know.
- 5:55Speaker 2: I I am really freaking proud of the fact that
- 5:59Speaker 2: there's these two women freaking rock stars still on the show.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Like when I was there, I you know, I could
- 6:09Speaker 2: have guessed that that Brody and Cam and Golden and
- 6:14Speaker 2: Carrie unfortunately he got injured, we're going to be at
- 6:17Speaker 2: the end, you know for sure. And then it was like, well,
- 6:20Speaker 2: yeah you can. You can guess that more people or
- 6:24Speaker 2: hope that more people are going to make it. And
- 6:26Speaker 2: I really wanted to make it, but clearly I would
- 6:30Speaker 2: have been I would.
- 6:31Speaker 5: Have been done.
- 6:32Speaker 2: I mean I could not have done what this last
- 6:35Speaker 2: episode was. But I mean the guys, yes, you know,
- 6:40Speaker 2: you think they are so physically fit that they're going
- 6:44Speaker 2: to make it to the end, regardless of what the
- 6:47Speaker 2: psychological stuff is. And so the fighting thing, I have
- 6:52Speaker 2: to say, it was kind of like not not a letdown,
- 6:57Speaker 2: but I was so ready to see the interrogation part
- 7:01Speaker 2: of it, like day ten and I thought, oh, they're
- 7:03Speaker 2: making them fight again, Like it really was intense, and
- 7:07Speaker 2: I think it's really good training. But from a viewer's perspective,
- 7:11Speaker 2: I was kind of like, Oh, well, they're just gonna
- 7:14Speaker 2: they're gonna fight again. You know, let's let's get you know,
- 7:19Speaker 2: for them, I'm sure it was not easy because everything
- 7:22Speaker 2: on the show is way harder in reality than we're
- 7:28Speaker 2: sitting on the couch, you know, watching.
- 7:31Speaker 4: Well, yeah, I mean and you know, you got to
- 7:33Speaker 4: imagine the physical because I mean that was even more
- 7:36Speaker 4: physical exertion than the first.
- 7:38Speaker 3: Fighting round that they did.
- 7:40Speaker 4: That one almost seemed like that one was really quick,
- 7:42Speaker 4: and it's like now they're sleep deprived, they're exhausted, they've
- 7:47Speaker 4: been mentally just put through the ringer, and now they're
- 7:50Speaker 4: being told like, you know.
- 7:51Speaker 3: Okay, fighting harder and then all of a sudden stop.
- 7:54Speaker 4: It's like you know, the the games that would play
- 7:57Speaker 4: with in your head and then and then you like
- 8:00Speaker 4: like I was, I was so the interrogation part was
- 8:02Speaker 4: sticking with me so much that I was like I
- 8:04Speaker 4: couldn't even think.
- 8:05Speaker 3: About this part of the show until you brought it
- 8:06Speaker 3: back up.
- 8:06Speaker 4: But yeah, I mean it was an intense moment, and
- 8:10Speaker 4: now you got to imagine after that they are just spent,
- 8:14Speaker 4: like there's nothing left in the.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Tank, right, totally and then emotionally spent because they show
- 8:22Speaker 2: all of them the videos that their family has sent
- 8:25Speaker 2: them from home. Which but but I also felt like, wait,
- 8:29Speaker 2: why does Cam only have his like production company associate saying,
- 8:38Speaker 2: you know, you're crushing this, Like I kind of felt
- 8:41Speaker 2: bad for him. I was like, oh, I wish that
- 8:43Speaker 2: he could have gotten that, you know, love from his
- 8:47Speaker 2: kids or or his you know, his baby mama.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I just.
- 8:56Speaker 5: I don't wonder why they did that.
- 8:58Speaker 2: And I wonder if it, like Devil's Advocate, maybe that
- 9:01Speaker 2: the family just they weren't at a place where they
- 9:04Speaker 2: could videotape, or maybe he just doesn't like his kids
- 9:08Speaker 2: to be public, you know, like maybe, yeah, maybe he.
- 9:12Speaker 5: Just doesn't want that for them.
- 9:14Speaker 2: And and totally respect that, but I kind of wish
- 9:18Speaker 2: that he had gotten, you know, some kind of video
- 9:22Speaker 2: from a family member.
- 9:24Speaker 4: I wonder if that gave him a little bit of
- 9:26Speaker 4: an advantage to a certain degree, you know, because he wasn't.
- 9:31Speaker 3: He was like he was able to kind of stay
- 9:33Speaker 3: in his zone.
- 9:33Speaker 4: He didn't really I mean, you know, no offense to
- 9:37Speaker 4: any production people, but you know, at the end of
- 9:39Speaker 4: the day, that's.
- 9:40Speaker 3: Not going to hit me.
- 9:41Speaker 4: That conversation is not going to hit me as raw
- 9:44Speaker 4: and as deep as my kid crying because I'm not
- 9:47Speaker 4: home and being like what's going on?
- 9:49Speaker 1: You know?
- 9:50Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, just melt totally.
- 9:53Speaker 3: So Yeah, I wonder if that gave him a little
- 9:55Speaker 3: bit of a mental edge.
- 9:58Speaker 4: I don't know, you know, I wonder we'll have to
- 10:00Speaker 4: ask him or you have to ask him.
- 10:01Speaker 3: If we don't get the interview him, you'll have to
- 10:03Speaker 3: ask them.
- 10:04Speaker 5: Yeah, hopefully we get to.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:07Speaker 5: I reached out, but I haven't heard back yet, so yes.
- 10:11Speaker 4: And then.
- 10:14Speaker 5: Oh gosh.
- 10:15Speaker 2: And then I think it was like they woke up,
- 10:18Speaker 2: or actually they didn't even wake up. It was like
- 10:20Speaker 2: the evening I think when the bomb started going off
- 10:23Speaker 2: in camp and they like I felt bad for Golden
- 10:27Speaker 2: because he's he's taking stuff out of his pack and
- 10:30Speaker 2: kind of repacking it, and he literally says, just watch them.
- 10:34Speaker 5: They're going to.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Say like get out here, you know, right as I'm
- 10:38Speaker 2: trying to finish this up. And I feel like that
- 10:40Speaker 2: was such a stressful thing when you're there, like you
- 10:44Speaker 2: think to yourself, should I work on my pack right now?
- 10:47Speaker 2: Like should I repack stuff? Or do we think that
- 10:52Speaker 2: they're gonna call us to do another task or whatever.
- 10:55Speaker 2: So it really was stressful when you're like to mess
- 10:59Speaker 2: with that stuff.
- 11:00Speaker 5: Yes, I felt so.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Bad for him.
- 11:05Speaker 3: Well, and okay, let's think about this.
- 11:06Speaker 4: I bet they didn't go to sleep because first of all,
- 11:09Speaker 4: he didn't show them like waking up.
- 11:11Speaker 3: But if we remember when Q was on.
- 11:13Speaker 4: Our show, he had said that the last night was
- 11:16Speaker 4: like you go, you know, no sleep, like it's like,
- 11:19Speaker 4: you know, for four eight hours or something like that,
- 11:21Speaker 4: And so I bet you they were kind of replicating that.
- 11:24Speaker 4: And so imagine getting in that physical altercation in the start.
- 11:29Speaker 3: Of the day. Then you're still running, you're still doing
- 11:31Speaker 3: all the other stuff. Then you're talking to.
- 11:33Speaker 4: Your family members, you're down, you're sad, you know. Then
- 11:37Speaker 4: you're getting rolled into a bombing sequence. Then you're captured,
- 11:43Speaker 4: you know. Well, then you're then you're.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Given no Then you're running like that to find Yeah,
- 11:49Speaker 2: you're to stay away from the hounds, oh god, and
- 11:52Speaker 2: the helicopters or whatever else was out there, like just
- 11:56Speaker 2: the stress of being hunted.
- 11:59Speaker 5: Literally they were being hunted. I mean that too.
- 12:05Speaker 2: And Caleb kept saying, you know, we need to get out,
- 12:08Speaker 2: get out of the road, get out of the road.
- 12:09Speaker 2: But it didn't seem like there was any other place
- 12:12Speaker 2: to go, so yeah, I oh, I just give it
- 12:15Speaker 2: up to him, and then of course they get captured.
- 12:19Speaker 2: I have to say one really funny moment. I didn't
- 12:23Speaker 2: write this on the on the chat yet, so I
- 12:27Speaker 2: feel like I told you this after we recapped the
- 12:31Speaker 2: first episode, or maybe I maybe I didn't, But on
- 12:35Speaker 2: the boat I commented on you know what everyone was wearing,
- 12:39Speaker 2: and one of the things that stood out to me
- 12:41Speaker 2: was Cam was wearing a diamond anklet.
- 12:45Speaker 3: Yeah I'm saying that, yeah, yeah.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Well I don't know if you noticed it, but it
- 12:49Speaker 2: was on him when they when he had to take
- 12:51Speaker 2: off all of his clothes, so you know, everyone has
- 12:55Speaker 2: to take off all their clothes and he takes off
- 12:58Speaker 2: his sock.
- 12:59Speaker 5: And the diamond anklet is on his ankle.
- 13:02Speaker 2: So I'm like, oh my gosh, did he have it
- 13:04Speaker 2: on from day one.
- 13:07Speaker 5: And just kept it in his sock?
- 13:08Speaker 2: Because that cannot be comfortable like running with that those
- 13:13Speaker 2: boots on. And I pretty much guarantee that he did
- 13:16Speaker 2: not break in his boots because he hadn't watched the show,
- 13:20Speaker 2: and I think he just basically showed up and he
- 13:22Speaker 2: I mean, he could of course correct me if I'm wrong,
- 13:26Speaker 2: but I just was like, oh my gosh, there's the anklet.
- 13:29Speaker 2: It still survives. It didn't fall off when he got
- 13:32Speaker 2: pushed off the boat.
- 13:33Speaker 3: Oh my gosh.
- 13:34Speaker 4: Well, I mean, or when he was like traps them
- 13:36Speaker 4: through the mud, or when he was in his you know,
- 13:39Speaker 4: a couple of different fisticuff sessions.
- 13:40Speaker 3: It's like stay on, you.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Know, I know, I know, and I can't believe he
- 13:46Speaker 2: kept it on like I would have. I would have
- 13:48Speaker 2: passed that thing over immediately, you know, to somebody and
- 13:51Speaker 2: said take care of this.
- 13:53Speaker 3: Yeah. So yeah, we had to.
- 14:00Speaker 4: They get captured, they're given a story that they're supposed
- 14:03Speaker 4: to tell, and this is actually so this is something
- 14:06Speaker 4: I want to talk to you about.
- 14:07Speaker 3: So what I thought was interesting was, you know, well,
- 14:11Speaker 3: first of.
- 14:11Speaker 4: All, they go through the the whole interrogation thing, and
- 14:14Speaker 4: that the female interrogator and and then the male interrogator,
- 14:18Speaker 4: and then they keep going to the umpire, and I
- 14:21Speaker 4: love the way it was shot, like you only saw
- 14:22Speaker 4: the umpire.
- 14:23Speaker 3: From here down, you know. Yeahs like, oh that's tough.
- 14:26Speaker 3: That's that's a tough one right there, you know.
- 14:28Speaker 4: And then he was commenting but uh, you know Alana
- 14:31Speaker 4: obviously they were challenging her as a mother, saying she
- 14:34Speaker 4: wasn't you know, she was selfish and she was you know,
- 14:37Speaker 4: she shouldn't be there, she should be with her family
- 14:39Speaker 4: and you know, playing on everything that like you like
- 14:42Speaker 4: you said, you know that whole mom guilt thing, right
- 14:45Speaker 4: that mom's all experience and it's like, you know, it's
- 14:47Speaker 4: it's horrible. And they finally broke her, right five and
- 14:51Speaker 4: a half hours in then it goes what was the
- 14:54Speaker 4: next one was? Was?
- 14:58Speaker 3: Yeah, it was Cam.
- 14:59Speaker 4: It was Cam, and they finally like finally break him.
- 15:03Speaker 4: But they were like, oh, that's good, that's good. You
- 15:04Speaker 4: know he uh he should have you know, he should
- 15:08Speaker 4: have that was the right time to back out or whatever.
- 15:10Speaker 5: Well, I thought that was hard.
- 15:11Speaker 2: That was hard because I do want to talk about
- 15:14Speaker 2: Cam for a little bit. He you know, got interrogated
- 15:18Speaker 2: and the guy is you brought it up earlier. The
- 15:21Speaker 2: guy is in his face, like maybe a half of
- 15:25Speaker 2: an inch from his face.
- 15:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:28Speaker 2: And and I am so impressed with how he composed himself,
- 15:35Speaker 2: like blown away, that he didn't react at all, Like
- 15:40Speaker 2: he was like stone faced, like just staring at the guy.
- 15:44Speaker 2: I'm like, wow, that takes a lot.
- 15:47Speaker 4: Yeah, he looked so drained, like they all did at
- 15:51Speaker 4: that point, you know, like and I thought he looked
- 15:53Speaker 4: so drained, and but he was also like keeping it composed.
- 15:57Speaker 4: And then and then I didn't understand was that was
- 16:01Speaker 4: that when they took his armband.
- 16:03Speaker 5: No, no, so he went out.
- 16:06Speaker 2: They had him, They had him go out and sit
- 16:09Speaker 2: in the chicken coop, which is what Golden was telling
- 16:12Speaker 2: us about how he sat in the chicken coop. And
- 16:16Speaker 2: and basically like I don't know if they dug it
- 16:19Speaker 2: out deeper, but I feel like Cam was sitting down
- 16:22Speaker 2: and maybe it was because he had to because he's
- 16:24Speaker 2: so much bigger than Golden. But they were like, you know,
- 16:28Speaker 2: move your head so that they could actually put the
- 16:31Speaker 2: like wire, you know, change top down. And then they
- 16:36Speaker 2: brought in buckets of water, and I am one hundred
- 16:39Speaker 2: percent positive that was not warm water. That was freezing
- 16:43Speaker 2: cold water.
- 16:44Speaker 5: And they were all.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Already shivering uncontrollably, you know, all of them. You could
- 16:50Speaker 2: see Brody especially like he was so freezing cold. So
- 16:56Speaker 2: to be put in the chicken coop with these people
- 16:59Speaker 2: who are like obviously very aggressive and yelling in your face. Yeah,
- 17:07Speaker 2: and then the water and then the guy is like, oh,
- 17:11Speaker 2: do you like that? And Cam's like, yeah, I like it,
- 17:14Speaker 2: and I'm like, no, don't say that.
- 17:15Speaker 5: They're just gonna do it more.
- 17:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I know, I know. So I was like, don't
- 17:19Speaker 3: do it, Cam, don't do it. But what's the right answer?
- 17:21Speaker 4: You know. It's like, I know that was confusing about
- 17:25Speaker 4: that part of the show for me. So like they're
- 17:28Speaker 4: you know, okay, let's give it. So refreshing me in
- 17:32Speaker 4: my mind? Why for some reason, I'm not remembering this.
- 17:34Speaker 4: What happened next for them to take Cam's armband.
- 17:38Speaker 2: So he went into So what he said was I
- 17:42Speaker 2: think what they told him in the beginning is that
- 17:45Speaker 2: you have to be your life has to be threatened
- 17:49Speaker 2: for you to give up your story, for you to
- 17:52Speaker 2: give up the reality of your story.
- 17:53Speaker 5: So in order to.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Pass selection, you have to wait until your life is
- 18:02Speaker 2: being threatened for you to admit that you are training
- 18:07Speaker 2: with special forces, and I think that they told them
- 18:10Speaker 2: this when they were doing the like story, you know,
- 18:13Speaker 2: the seaweed story, how they were collecting seaweed whatever. So
- 18:18Speaker 2: I think they told him that then is you have
- 18:21Speaker 2: to be your life has to be threatened. At least
- 18:24Speaker 2: I hope that they told them, because it is a
- 18:26Speaker 2: very very fine line. Like Cam his life is not threatened,
- 18:33Speaker 2: but they but they I think they poured the water
- 18:37Speaker 2: on him, and then I want to say, he told
- 18:41Speaker 2: them then, so he wasn't his life wasn't being threatened.
- 18:45Speaker 2: They took him into another room and he had to
- 18:49Speaker 2: wait for the umpire to come in, and I.
- 18:51Speaker 5: Felt like I felt kind of bad for him.
- 18:54Speaker 2: I felt like he I mean, if they told them
- 18:59Speaker 2: that you're life has to be threatened for you to
- 19:02Speaker 2: give up the true story, then I understand. But if
- 19:08Speaker 2: they didn't, then it is very like it's a very
- 19:11Speaker 2: fine line with who passes and who doesn't.
- 19:15Speaker 4: That's what I was gonna say, because then with Golden,
- 19:18Speaker 4: like I would think, and I'm sure Golden was first
- 19:21Speaker 4: of all, he was delirious.
- 19:22Speaker 3: You could just tell he was just sort of like.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Slammed delirious, and they they he falls in the water
- 19:29Speaker 1: and they're like, yeah, Phail, and it's like, hold on,
- 19:32Speaker 1: he still hasn't spilled the story.
- 19:34Speaker 4: Like in my mind, he was doing the right thing
- 19:37Speaker 4: by not spilling, like by handing out with a story
- 19:39Speaker 4: as long as possible. But I guess at that point
- 19:41Speaker 4: they're like, Nope, you got to you gotta spill the
- 19:43Speaker 4: story because.
- 19:44Speaker 3: Your life is threatened or whatever.
- 19:45Speaker 4: But yeah, that was a little confusing to me because
- 19:48Speaker 4: I felt like I was I was kind of on
- 19:50Speaker 4: the fence about how I felt about Cam being taken
- 19:52Speaker 4: what I thought was too early, and then Golden staying
- 19:55Speaker 4: as long as he could and then they take him.
- 19:57Speaker 2: It's like, hold on, I know eight, So I want
- 20:00Speaker 2: to comment on. So Golden is on the the plank
- 20:07Speaker 2: essentially she's walking the plank, and Kayla is sitting down
- 20:12Speaker 2: with her laces zip tied and to the cement block
- 20:17Speaker 2: and on the chat as well. Kayla was like, I'm
- 20:22Speaker 2: pissed because it was so good, like how Golden like
- 20:25Speaker 2: snapped finally snapped on the interrogator and Golden was like,
- 20:31Speaker 2: remind me, remind me what was said. He can't remember,
- 20:35Speaker 2: and then she put something along the lines of you're
- 20:37Speaker 2: not going to touch me, and you're for damn sure
- 20:39Speaker 2: not going to touch her. So he totally stood up
- 20:46Speaker 2: for her. And I think that's probably when they pushed
- 20:48Speaker 2: pushed him in Yeast, which I love. And another funny
- 20:52Speaker 2: thing from the text is Golden wrote, Brodie, your alcohol
- 21:00Speaker 2: haul in tattoo Parlors is a thing. Huh. He's like
- 21:05Speaker 2: because they kept bringing up like the woman was like,
- 21:07Speaker 2: oh so you like alcohol or something, and he was
- 21:09Speaker 2: kind of like, what are you talking about?
- 21:12Speaker 4: Right, I know, He's like, where'd you get this tattoo?
- 21:16Speaker 1: Oh?
- 21:16Speaker 3: That was? That was? That was I was a night
- 21:17Speaker 3: of drinking or whatever. It was almost like he at
- 21:20Speaker 3: that point, you know.
- 21:22Speaker 2: He totally did that was that was actually a funny moment.
- 21:25Speaker 2: Like it's funny because they have said I don't know
- 21:28Speaker 2: if Golden said this on his social media, but basically
- 21:34Speaker 2: like they are He's like, they are so mean, but
- 21:38Speaker 2: they're also like really nice in instances, so you like
- 21:42Speaker 2: get drawn in and you think, oh, like we're going
- 21:45Speaker 2: to be friends.
- 21:46Speaker 5: Oh no, you're not going to be friends. They are
- 21:48Speaker 5: just playing you.
- 21:50Speaker 3: They're playing like a fiddle.
- 21:51Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, I mean at that point we're looking at
- 21:54Speaker 4: these guys who are just beyond right. I mean, they
- 21:58Speaker 4: are completely exhausted, Like Golden couldn't even hold the hardest
- 22:02Speaker 4: hold his head up. Uh, I know, it was insane, right.
- 22:06Speaker 4: And then I mean, and then Brody and Kayla left
- 22:10Speaker 4: at the end, and man, what a what a what
- 22:14Speaker 4: a journey for those two man, I mean for everyone,
- 22:17Speaker 4: I mean, especially for all of y'all, it was a
- 22:19Speaker 4: huge journey, but for those particularly those last five, it
- 22:23Speaker 4: was kind of like, wow.
- 22:35Speaker 2: Oh my god, we have to bring up the Brody
- 22:37Speaker 2: part about how he was getting like they were basically
- 22:40Speaker 2: gonna drown him. His eyes looked like like he was like,
- 22:45Speaker 2: oh my god, they're for real, They're gonna drown me.
- 22:48Speaker 4: I wonder if we have to ask him, like was
- 22:51Speaker 4: he like just didn't think he was like a step
- 22:53Speaker 4: away from dying.
- 22:54Speaker 3: I bet he did.
- 22:55Speaker 2: I mean, it seemed like he was legitimately worried for
- 23:00Speaker 2: his life, you know, I mean, you know that it's
- 23:03Speaker 2: a television show. But at the same time, they're they're
- 23:06Speaker 2: pushing him down into the water. And again I don't
- 23:11Speaker 2: think it was warm water. That was freezing cold water.
- 23:15Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 23:16Speaker 2: So anyway, I was like, wow, the fact that he
- 23:21Speaker 2: was in that, like it's basically like a pig, like
- 23:24Speaker 2: a slot.
- 23:25Speaker 5: What do you call it, a not a slock, a
- 23:27Speaker 5: trough whatever, a trough something like that.
- 23:31Speaker 2: Yes, I was blown away that they did that to him,
- 23:36Speaker 2: And then Kayla with the cement block around her feet wondering.
- 23:40Speaker 2: He's like, Okay, I'm gonna push it, and she's like no, no, no,
- 23:43Speaker 2: I'll tell you.
- 23:44Speaker 5: I'm like, good girl, thank god.
- 23:48Speaker 3: I'm so glad they did. I mean, I don't I
- 23:50Speaker 3: doubt they would have because that would just be like yeah,
- 23:53Speaker 3: next level, but totally at that point, I guarantee you
- 23:57Speaker 3: she didn't know what.
- 23:57Speaker 2: They were going to do, you know, I know, right,
- 24:01Speaker 2: I mean she had been tortured.
- 24:03Speaker 3: Yeah, we don't.
- 24:04Speaker 4: Even know what they're gonna do. They might have done
- 24:05Speaker 4: it if they had a scuba and.
- 24:07Speaker 2: If they I was just gonna say, they might have
- 24:10Speaker 2: had divers down there anyway, even if like if someone
- 24:13Speaker 2: fell in and needed them, I bet they had divers
- 24:16Speaker 2: down there. Yeah, I mean, I just am so impressed.
- 24:24Speaker 2: They really truly crushed it. But I and I wrote
- 24:28Speaker 2: on the chat, I'm like, kudos, massive kudos to the
- 24:32Speaker 2: final five, Like I want to include like Alana and
- 24:38Speaker 2: Cam and Golden in this too. I know that obviously
- 24:42Speaker 2: Brody and Kayla make it to the end, but I
- 24:45Speaker 2: feel like Cam and Golden especially were really they went
- 24:48Speaker 2: through like the torture part of it, and then they
- 24:51Speaker 2: just ended up, you know, not saying that they were
- 24:55Speaker 2: actually there for special Forces training soon enough, you know,
- 25:00Speaker 2: or maybe late enough. I don't know between soon enough
- 25:03Speaker 2: and late enough.
- 25:05Speaker 3: Cam said it too soon and Golden didn't say.
- 25:08Speaker 5: It at all, you know, so right right too, totally.
- 25:12Speaker 4: Yeah, Yeah, It's just I mean, honestly that that was
- 25:15Speaker 4: the only part of the show there was a little
- 25:17Speaker 4: confusing to me because I felt like it was a
- 25:18Speaker 4: little you know, a little subjective, like they were kind
- 25:21Speaker 4: of like, you know, well, I don't know, it was
- 25:23Speaker 4: like the fine line that.
- 25:24Speaker 3: I couldn't tell, you know, why one thing was going
- 25:26Speaker 3: to happen over another.
- 25:27Speaker 4: But it was intense. I mean, yeah, that whole interrogation thing.
- 25:32Speaker 4: At first, I was thinking like, oh, that's kind of silly,
- 25:34Speaker 4: you know, I would just be like whatever, random person,
- 25:37Speaker 4: you know, But then after a while, it's like, no,
- 25:39Speaker 4: they're hitting on every nerve. They've watched everything about you
- 25:42Speaker 4: from this entire time you've been there. Probably the footage,
- 25:44Speaker 4: a lot of footage we didn't even see, and they're
- 25:47Speaker 4: just going at you on all these things that they
- 25:49Speaker 4: know are your little Achilles heels, you.
- 25:51Speaker 5: Know, totally.
- 25:53Speaker 2: Yeah, we didn't mention this part, but when they were running,
- 25:57Speaker 2: like Golden had fallen into like a stream or something,
- 26:02Speaker 2: and his boots were wet the whole time. Like, so
- 26:06Speaker 2: you go from being wet and cold and really tired
- 26:11Speaker 2: to being tortured for half of a day. Essentially, I
- 26:17Speaker 2: just I give it up to them. They just they
- 26:21Speaker 2: freaking crushed it.
- 26:24Speaker 3: I mean, think about it this way.
- 26:25Speaker 4: They were during that interrogation period, they never sat down, right,
- 26:29Speaker 4: I mean for the most part, they were standing the
- 26:30Speaker 4: whole time.
- 26:31Speaker 2: They did sit down when they like Golden was sitting
- 26:34Speaker 2: on that chair like the guy kept saying, put your
- 26:37Speaker 2: hands by your side, so they did have him sitting,
- 26:39Speaker 2: and Cam was sitting in a chair. And then for
- 26:43Speaker 2: like the what do you call them, the torture positions,
- 26:46Speaker 2: like when they had to hit hands above their head,
- 26:48Speaker 2: they were sitting.
- 26:50Speaker 5: I think for part of that too.
- 26:52Speaker 4: I think my back would hurt so bad because you know,
- 26:55Speaker 4: like when you're when you're cold and standing, and then
- 26:57Speaker 4: you're in that torture position. Everything I would feel like
- 27:00Speaker 4: I would start cramping, like I would just be like.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Same, I just be dying, same I. I. I talked
- 27:07Speaker 2: to the medics prior, you know how they weren't gonna
- 27:12Speaker 2: clear me.
- 27:13Speaker 5: Yeah, and part.
- 27:14Speaker 2: Of it they said, well, if you're putting these torture positions,
- 27:19Speaker 2: you're you're gonna have to be like I could because
- 27:22Speaker 2: I said, I think they ask can you sit across
- 27:26Speaker 2: you know, chriss cross apple sauce? Can you sit cross legged?
- 27:33Speaker 5: Or on your knees?
- 27:34Speaker 2: And I think I told them at some point that
- 27:36Speaker 2: those bothered me. Those positions really bother me because of
- 27:39Speaker 2: my back, and all I could think of was how
- 27:44Speaker 2: I would be really uh uncomfortable and probably would say, Okay,
- 27:49Speaker 2: I'm out. I really can't. I can't sit like this.
- 27:52Speaker 2: It's just too painful, especially.
- 27:54Speaker 4: At that stage of the game, because you would have
- 27:56Speaker 4: been so fatigued so right, you know, like just beaten down,
- 28:01Speaker 4: and then it's like another thing. Like That's what I
- 28:03Speaker 4: was thinking when I was watching those guys just getting
- 28:06Speaker 4: chewed out, was I was like, God, another thing, you know,
- 28:10Speaker 4: like you're soaking wet, you're freezing, you're you got this
- 28:13Speaker 4: dude in your face, you haven't slept in twenty four hours.
- 28:16Speaker 4: It's like you got a big fight the day before,
- 28:19Speaker 4: you know, or earlier this day or whatever. And it's
- 28:22Speaker 4: just like, gosh, man, an emotional toll that has to
- 28:25Speaker 4: take on someone at that point is got to beat
- 28:28Speaker 4: just next level, I know.
- 28:30Speaker 2: And I kept thinking, oh my gosh, this has got
- 28:34Speaker 2: to be like PTSD for everybody watching, Like I can't
- 28:40Speaker 2: imagine having gone through that and watching it again, like
- 28:43Speaker 2: it would bring back all of those feelings. So I
- 28:46Speaker 2: am hopeful that we can get you know, these guys
- 28:50Speaker 2: on to talk about this final day because oh, actually
- 28:54Speaker 2: Kayla did say in her stories today that she had
- 28:59Speaker 2: pta s watching it. Yes, I mean really like having
- 29:06Speaker 2: to go through it's kind of like, I mean, it's
- 29:08Speaker 2: not like this at all, really, but when you watch
- 29:11Speaker 2: the Bachelor or the Bachelorette and you're like, you know,
- 29:14Speaker 2: having to put yourself back in that in that frame
- 29:18Speaker 2: of mind and you're like, oh, why did I say
- 29:20Speaker 2: that or why did I do that or whatever, And
- 29:23Speaker 2: this is obviously very different, but I feel like it's
- 29:28Speaker 2: it's a little traumatizing to have to watch yourself and
- 29:31Speaker 2: not to have to I'm sure they they're not being
- 29:34Speaker 2: forced to watch it, of course, but but yeah, I
- 29:38Speaker 2: just I'm so proud of them. It's not for me
- 29:41Speaker 2: to say that I'm proud of him. I mean, please,
- 29:43Speaker 2: I was only there for two days too.
- 29:45Speaker 4: Plus No, but you're part of a You're part of
- 29:47Speaker 4: a very special group of people that did something you know,
- 29:50Speaker 4: very intense together and even though you know, people left
- 29:54Speaker 4: at different times, it was you know, we always said
- 29:56Speaker 4: from the from the top of this show, it wasn't
- 29:58Speaker 4: about winning. It was a about you know, proving to
- 30:02Speaker 4: yourself that you could overcome these things.
- 30:04Speaker 3: And you guys all.
- 30:05Speaker 4: Overcame things, and so I think it's it's pretty remarkable,
- 30:09Speaker 4: you know, just the fact that you all went through it.
- 30:11Speaker 4: You're all still on this text thread and talking about it,
- 30:13Speaker 4: which I'm sure is very helpful for everyone to be
- 30:17Speaker 4: able to do that with each other. And you know,
- 30:19Speaker 4: because you guys are the only ones who went through this,
- 30:20Speaker 4: you know, and it's pretty it's pretty awesome. I think
- 30:23Speaker 4: it's I think it's a really cool experience and I'm
- 30:25Speaker 4: really I'm really happy that.
- 30:27Speaker 3: You did it. Like, obviously we got to talk a
- 30:28Speaker 3: lot about it and stuff.
- 30:29Speaker 4: I'm happy that you did it for you, and I'm
- 30:31Speaker 4: really happy that I got to like see a different
- 30:33Speaker 4: side of like I mean, I said it from a
- 30:37Speaker 4: couple of weeks ago, But Brody, I feel like, is
- 30:39Speaker 4: the person who not that he needed it, but got
- 30:43Speaker 4: such redemption, such character redemption out of this show by
- 30:47Speaker 4: being this guy who all of a sudden is vulnerable
- 30:49Speaker 4: and is like, I get what everybody thinks about me,
- 30:51Speaker 4: you know, and yeah, you like I use even saying
- 30:54Speaker 4: he's like from the interrogation thing, I think he was
- 30:56Speaker 4: the one that said, you know, you have these things
- 30:58Speaker 4: like sometimes you know, when something embarrassing happens in your life,
- 31:01Speaker 4: and these paparazzi guys will be like throw it in
- 31:03Speaker 4: your face when you're walking on the street with your
- 31:05Speaker 4: mom or something, and it's he's like, and you got
- 31:07Speaker 4: to like call you got to keep it together, and
- 31:09Speaker 4: you can't strike out at him because.
- 31:10Speaker 3: Then it's even going to get worse.
- 31:12Speaker 4: And and it was interesting because I do remember times
- 31:15Speaker 4: like that in my past where you know, they'd be
- 31:18Speaker 4: yelling stuff and you'd be.
- 31:19Speaker 3: Like, oh my god, this guy, you know, like, why
- 31:22Speaker 3: would he do that. He's trying to get a reaction
- 31:24Speaker 3: out of me. Don't give him one, you know.
- 31:25Speaker 4: And so I mean, you know, Brodie, I think she
- 31:28Speaker 4: really showed a different side of himself. And I think that,
- 31:30Speaker 4: you know, it was obvious that it meant a lot
- 31:32Speaker 4: to the DS as well, that you know that he
- 31:35Speaker 4: went through.
- 31:36Speaker 3: That because they were very very high on him.
- 31:38Speaker 2: It seemed yeah, totally, and they still are there. I
- 31:41Speaker 2: feel like they're they'll be close friends for life, you know.
- 31:47Speaker 2: I also want to say, like Alana said that she
- 31:50Speaker 2: wasn't taken seriously, you know, she isn't taken very seriously
- 31:53Speaker 2: as a professional surfer, and I want to say, well,
- 31:56Speaker 2: now she'd better be, because holy crap, she proved herself
- 32:02Speaker 2: she is a beast. I mean basically, you know, proving
- 32:06Speaker 2: to everybody that she could be at the front of
- 32:09Speaker 2: the line and and and crushing it. So I want
- 32:13Speaker 2: to say props to Alana for like, you know, for
- 32:17Speaker 2: crushing it and and proving to these people who haven't
- 32:23Speaker 2: you know, given her.
- 32:27Speaker 5: What what was the word what?
- 32:30Speaker 2: Who haven't taken her personally, haven't taken her seriously? So I, yeah,
- 32:35Speaker 2: I think that that's really cool. I think that Kayla's
- 32:38Speaker 2: story about how you know, the relationship with Travis and
- 32:45Speaker 2: internet trolls coming after and she really, I think feel
- 32:50Speaker 2: like came into her own, you know, she she found
- 32:54Speaker 2: her power within her and I think that that that
- 32:58Speaker 2: was so cool to watch to see her come into that,
- 33:03Speaker 2: you know, come into her own and really feel that
- 33:06Speaker 2: you could really feel her confidence coming through at the end,
- 33:09Speaker 2: like I freaking did this. You know, she's got to
- 33:12Speaker 2: be on Cloud nine today, so you know, not that
- 33:15Speaker 2: today is the day, like I'm sure she was on
- 33:17Speaker 2: Cloud nine when it happened, but yeah, it was. It
- 33:22Speaker 2: was just really cool to see. And I know that
- 33:24Speaker 2: obviously we've had women win this show in the past
- 33:29Speaker 2: with Hannah Brown and you know, the soccer player and
- 33:34Speaker 2: then the Olympic the Olympic athlete on the second season,
- 33:38Speaker 2: so it's not like women can't do it, but I just,
- 33:42Speaker 2: you know, as a woman, I'm here for it, love
- 33:44Speaker 2: to see it.
- 33:45Speaker 3: Yeah heck yeah.
- 33:46Speaker 4: I mean honestly, I thought I thought that that whole
- 33:50Speaker 4: Top five was lights out, like next level.
- 34:03Speaker 2: Okay, So but we have to I think finish the
- 34:07Speaker 2: pod with talking about how who you predicted was going
- 34:11Speaker 2: to be at the end and what what actually happened?
- 34:15Speaker 2: What were your predictions again, I said it was.
- 34:18Speaker 3: Going to be down.
- 34:18Speaker 4: I thought it was going to be down to carry Golden,
- 34:24Speaker 4: Cam and Brody. So I got three out those four,
- 34:28Speaker 4: and then I thought Kayla, so I knew she was
- 34:31Speaker 4: going to be in there, and I and I and
- 34:33Speaker 4: I really did. I thought Brody was going to win it.
- 34:35Speaker 4: But I think I don't think. I I'm not sure
- 34:37Speaker 4: what I said. I think I want to say I
- 34:39Speaker 4: think that I said Cam or Brody was going to
- 34:41Speaker 4: win it.
- 34:42Speaker 2: I want to say that you thought it was all
- 34:44Speaker 2: four of the guys, and yeah, maybe through Kayla in there.
- 34:48Speaker 2: I'm not sure, but I I'd love to go back
- 34:51Speaker 2: in here. If you don't, we'll have to go back
- 34:54Speaker 2: and listen to the first episode.
- 34:58Speaker 4: I I know, I know, I remember thinking to myself
- 35:01Speaker 4: because I just thought, like just sheer physicality. I thought Cam,
- 35:06Speaker 4: Carrey and Golden and Brody. I know I said that,
- 35:09Speaker 4: and then but I also that was right after the
- 35:11Speaker 4: fight episode when Kayla went like a bulldog lights out,
- 35:16Speaker 4: you know, just beaten people.
- 35:18Speaker 3: And I was like, hold on, hold on, this is
- 35:21Speaker 3: you know, this is impressive.
- 35:23Speaker 4: I did not have Alana in there, and I regret
- 35:26Speaker 4: that because you know, I think, I guess, I guess.
- 35:30Speaker 4: You know, you're looking at a standpoint of I'm thinking
- 35:33Speaker 4: a navy seal in my head, and so I'm thinking
- 35:35Speaker 4: it's got to be this, you know, this beefcake person.
- 35:38Speaker 3: You know.
- 35:38Speaker 4: And man, I will say, like watching that show from
- 35:43Speaker 4: the very beginning of it, it was an emotional journey.
- 35:47Speaker 4: This last episode, well, well for me, the whole damn season,
- 35:50Speaker 4: but this last episode in particular, like it started off,
- 35:52Speaker 4: I was just like, oh my god, they've got to
- 35:54Speaker 4: be just so beaten down, you know, like you almost
- 35:57Speaker 4: like go there.
- 35:58Speaker 3: With them, you know, as a viewer. But I think
- 36:01Speaker 3: such a cool show, you know.
- 36:03Speaker 5: I agree.
- 36:04Speaker 2: I was going through I'm gonna make a reel of
- 36:06Speaker 2: kind of like behind the scenes of me and in
- 36:10Speaker 2: London before and after, and and I was going through
- 36:14Speaker 2: video and pictures last night, and one of the videos
- 36:19Speaker 2: that I went through was me just kind of sharing
- 36:23Speaker 2: just selfie mode, you know, what what had happened and.
- 36:27Speaker 5: How I was feeling and everything.
- 36:29Speaker 2: And and I was like, and I can't wait to
- 36:32Speaker 2: take a shower. I mean, it was the best shower
- 36:37Speaker 2: so I can't even imagine what these five were feeling.
- 36:41Speaker 3: How was how was it for you watching it?
- 36:43Speaker 4: Like, I mean, were you I mean having been a
- 36:46Speaker 4: part of the show like you were, and I mean,
- 36:48Speaker 4: how how was it for you watching the finale?
- 36:51Speaker 3: Was it?
- 36:52Speaker 1: Like?
- 36:52Speaker 3: Were you happy watching it? Were you sad? Were you
- 36:54Speaker 3: were you you know, were like were you.
- 36:57Speaker 4: Like like bummed out that, like did you regrets like
- 37:00Speaker 4: you know anything when you were watching it.
- 37:03Speaker 2: I definitely have flipped back and forth through the whole season,
- 37:08Speaker 2: including last night.
- 37:09Speaker 5: You know, part of me really wanted to be there.
- 37:16Speaker 2: I mean I was There's a quote that I saw
- 37:19Speaker 2: something about just don't quit, and Ryan was like, just
- 37:22Speaker 2: don't quit, like period, end of story, just don't quit.
- 37:25Speaker 2: And I essentially quit. But I think that I followed
- 37:32Speaker 2: what my body was telling me, Like I was at
- 37:36Speaker 2: such a peaceful place when I made that decision, and
- 37:40Speaker 2: I really hate feeling like a burden, and I was
- 37:44Speaker 2: really feeling like a burden. And then I flipped to, well,
- 37:51Speaker 2: I didn't have to participate in the fight because three
- 37:54Speaker 2: people went home with broken bones, so thank god I
- 37:57Speaker 2: didn't break any bones. And then just the running like
- 38:02Speaker 2: in between the tasks, like I really really had a
- 38:07Speaker 2: hard time with it, and and I feel like like
- 38:10Speaker 2: that hike, the the hike where Kyla and Christy.
- 38:15Speaker 5: Both lefty did you see that? Did you watch that?
- 38:19Speaker 5: Did we recap that?
- 38:20Speaker 2: Okay, so the hike, I was like, oh, I would
- 38:24Speaker 2: have been out. I feel like I would have been
- 38:27Speaker 2: out before the last day anyway because of that hike.
- 38:34Speaker 2: I mean, the fact that Kyla made it as far
- 38:38Speaker 2: as she did, and she like didn't make it like shevw'd.
- 38:43Speaker 5: On the hike.
- 38:44Speaker 2: We were you know, we were about the same in
- 38:48Speaker 2: terms of our ability to run in between tasks with
- 38:52Speaker 2: our heavy rocks on our back. So I don't I
- 38:57Speaker 2: feel like, realistically I wouldn't have made it to the
- 39:01Speaker 2: finale anyway, knowing what happened after I left, right, So
- 39:06Speaker 2: it's hard because it's like there's just this internal battle
- 39:10Speaker 2: of should I have left? Well, you you didn't want
- 39:13Speaker 2: to feel like a burden anymore, and you didn't get
- 39:14Speaker 2: you didn't end up getting hurt.
- 39:16Speaker 5: But could you have stayed for longer? Maybe?
- 39:18Speaker 2: You know it's like my little demons an angel.
- 39:23Speaker 4: Well, you know your rationale when you left the show, though,
- 39:26Speaker 4: I thought was very respectful and you know, to go
- 39:30Speaker 4: along with the with the whole purpose of this show,
- 39:33Speaker 4: which is you know, these guys, you know, they said
- 39:36Speaker 4: it more than once, so like we're trying to figure
- 39:38Speaker 4: out who we would essentially select to be with us
- 39:41Speaker 4: in the field when we're going through this stuff. And
- 39:43Speaker 4: for you, when you left, you know, you were like,
- 39:45Speaker 4: I have so much respect for what are you know,
- 39:47Speaker 4: servicemen and women do, and I I just don't want
- 39:51Speaker 4: to be a burden to my team or my class
- 39:54Speaker 4: or whatever you said. I thought it was really of
- 39:56Speaker 4: all the reasons to leave to me, feeling like you
- 40:00Speaker 4: don't want to let your team down and you're a
- 40:02Speaker 4: burden to your team and you can see that and
- 40:05Speaker 4: it's it's respectful, you know. It was like it wasn't
- 40:08Speaker 4: like I'm leaving, you know, I'm still I'm still irritated
- 40:12Speaker 4: why Stephen Baldwin left.
- 40:13Speaker 3: You know, I really shouldn't be here. But should I
- 40:16Speaker 3: be here? Could I get hurt?
- 40:17Speaker 4: I don't know, maybe I will, but I have this
- 40:19Speaker 4: role coming up, and it's like, come on, you know,
- 40:22Speaker 4: just go, you know. But it was like it was
- 40:25Speaker 4: like a struggle for you to go, and it was
- 40:27Speaker 4: a struggle for Ali and it was a struggle, you know,
- 40:29Speaker 4: because because you guys were really going for it, you know,
- 40:32Speaker 4: and I think that I think it's respectful.
- 40:34Speaker 3: I guess.
- 40:34Speaker 5: So what I'm trying to say, thank you, thank you.
- 40:36Speaker 2: I know, I keep telling myself, you know, those little
- 40:40Speaker 2: things like, you know, just reminders of how I was
- 40:44Speaker 2: feeling and things like that that I feel like it
- 40:47Speaker 2: did leave in a respectful way. But still, you know,
- 40:50Speaker 2: the devil is still very active and it always will
- 40:54Speaker 2: be so. I but I feel like I learned a
- 40:56Speaker 2: little bit that, you know, especially after talking to DS
- 41:00Speaker 2: Billy and Rudy here on the podcast. They were like,
- 41:05Speaker 2: this is you did the best that you could. We
- 41:07Speaker 2: could see that you were doing the best that you can.
- 41:09Speaker 2: So I guess the like learning lesson, not just for me,
- 41:13Speaker 2: but for anybody listening is don't be down on yourself
- 41:17Speaker 2: if you're not the strongest or the fittest, or the tallest,
- 41:22Speaker 2: or the skinniest or the you know what I mean, whatever, Yeah,
- 41:27Speaker 2: just do you just do you? And you know, all,
- 41:30Speaker 2: thank God, there are people in this world like Billy
- 41:34Speaker 2: and Rudy and Q and Foxy who sacrifice so much
- 41:39Speaker 2: for our freedom and and I'm like, you know, I'm
- 41:45Speaker 2: not that person, but I have so much respect for
- 41:49Speaker 2: those people me too.
- 41:50Speaker 4: You proved it to yourself that I mean, well, you
- 41:52Speaker 4: proved it to me anyway. I think you proved it
- 41:54Speaker 4: to a lot of people watching too, that you got
- 41:56Speaker 4: what it takes lady. You got out there and you
- 41:58Speaker 4: were tough, and you were committed. Thank you, and you
- 42:02Speaker 4: got out when it was the right time for you
- 42:03Speaker 4: to get out.
- 42:04Speaker 3: And everybody's exit point is different, right, and so totally
- 42:07Speaker 3: you know.
- 42:07Speaker 4: That's that's fully uh do that's worthy of everyone's respect too.
- 42:12Speaker 3: So I think it was really great, really a great show,
- 42:14Speaker 3: and I'm bombed.
- 42:15Speaker 4: It's over, but I'm glad we get to talk about
- 42:16Speaker 4: I Holds a few more times with some more of
- 42:19Speaker 4: the people that were on the.
- 42:19Speaker 3: Show with you.
- 42:21Speaker 2: Yes, we're we are planning on having Alana and Kyla
- 42:26Speaker 2: and Kayla. We've got those three lined up, so those
- 42:30Speaker 2: will get me coming in the future, everybody, and then
- 42:33Speaker 2: hopefully we can get carry on and Cam and Brody.
- 42:38Speaker 5: I would love to get Landing on. But I don't
- 42:40Speaker 5: know that he.
- 42:43Speaker 2: Is, you know, doing any press for it or interested
- 42:46Speaker 2: in talking about it. I think he's pretty bummed that
- 42:50Speaker 2: that he had to leave because of Shan Ribs. So
- 42:54Speaker 2: who knows, maybe in the future we will oh yeay, okay,
- 42:57Speaker 2: Kyla just wrote me back, so we're we're going to
- 43:00Speaker 2: be able to at least talk to the three of
- 43:04Speaker 2: them and then and then relive it, you know, in
- 43:08Speaker 2: the next couple weeks. So I just want to say
- 43:10Speaker 2: thank you for everyone listening and supporting. And I loved
- 43:16Speaker 2: the show. I loved being part of it. Never ever
- 43:19Speaker 2: would have thought in my wildest dreams that this is
- 43:22Speaker 2: something that I would have signed up for. But I'm
- 43:25Speaker 2: proud of myself. I'm proud of myself for just taking
- 43:28Speaker 2: that leap of faith and challenging myself, especially at fifty
- 43:33Speaker 2: two years old. So anyway, I'll be really excited to
- 43:38Speaker 2: see the next season who they ask, because you know,
- 43:44Speaker 2: I'm putting in my husband's name for sure.
- 43:47Speaker 5: I know.
- 43:49Speaker 2: I am hopeful that they will actually like put him
- 43:52Speaker 2: on the show. But oh, this is actually a good question,
- 43:57Speaker 2: and I do have to go after this, But who
- 43:59Speaker 2: do you think? Who do we think would be another
- 44:03Speaker 2: good person from Bachelor Nation to have on because obviously
- 44:06Speaker 2: they have at least one person from Bachelornation on each season,
- 44:11Speaker 2: who do you what would you be your prediction about
- 44:14Speaker 2: who they would ask interesting?
- 44:17Speaker 4: Well, I'd like to see Ryan, yeah, I and you know,
- 44:21Speaker 4: I think would be interesting on there would maybe be
- 44:23Speaker 4: Matt James. You know, Matt James is like a big runner,
- 44:27Speaker 4: big athlete.
- 44:28Speaker 2: Right and he's he's got a lot of things going on.
- 44:33Speaker 3: Right now, a lot of demons, a lot of demons
- 44:34Speaker 3: he's working through right now.
- 44:36Speaker 5: Maybe the things he's working through.
- 44:38Speaker 4: Yeah, and they could, you know, they would probably want
- 44:41Speaker 4: to I want to go after that a little bit,
- 44:43Speaker 4: I would think, And you know, so I think that
- 44:45Speaker 4: would be really interesting.
- 44:47Speaker 3: I think he'd be a good one.
- 44:48Speaker 4: He just strikes me as a good athlete too, like
- 44:50Speaker 4: as someone who I think would be, you know, able
- 44:52Speaker 4: to compete well on that show.
- 44:54Speaker 2: And he's friends with Tyler Cameron who won the second season.
- 44:58Speaker 3: Yeap, So there's that.
- 44:59Speaker 4: And then let's see I want to think of a
- 45:02Speaker 4: couple former athletes too, But I'll save it. I'm gonna
- 45:04Speaker 4: think on it. I'm want to think on that so
- 45:06Speaker 4: that when we get on the air next time we
- 45:07Speaker 4: can talk about it. But I would think I would
- 45:10Speaker 4: think there's a lot of people who've retired in the
- 45:11Speaker 4: last couple of years who might be really.
- 45:13Speaker 3: Good on that show.
- 45:14Speaker 2: I feel like I would really love to have another bachelorette,
- 45:18Speaker 2: like a lead, a.
- 45:20Speaker 3: Lead Jojo.
- 45:22Speaker 5: Jojo. Yes, love that idea.
- 45:27Speaker 2: I was gonna say Caitlyn, but Caitlyn has put on
- 45:29Speaker 2: her stories that she's like, uh, no way, I will
- 45:33Speaker 2: ever do that showing.
- 45:36Speaker 4: On there, because you know, I mean, well, actually, maybe
- 45:39Speaker 4: even Jojo and Jordan, maybe they.
- 45:41Speaker 5: Put a couple on there do it together.
- 45:43Speaker 3: That would be pretty.
- 45:43Speaker 4: Athletic, right, Jordan's a former college football player, and yeah,
- 45:48Speaker 4: that'd be interesting.
- 45:49Speaker 2: Maybe those would be good. I like that idea. We'll
- 45:53Speaker 2: have to ask Ashley because she clearly has the power.
- 45:57Speaker 5: She knew I was going to get asked.
- 45:59Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, she did, she did.
- 46:02Speaker 5: Yeah, all right.
- 46:03Speaker 4: Well, thanks everybody, Thanks to you, Thank you Trista Sutter,
- 46:06Speaker 4: Thanks for everyone listening to Almost Famous the Og podcast.
