- 0:00Speaker 1: Monday, October 19th. Man, time is flying by. It is
- 0:03Speaker 1: flying by. Stella, you got a comment on Love Court.
- 0:08Speaker 2: I do have a comment.
- 0:09Speaker 3: I didn't get to listen to the whole thing because
- 0:11Speaker 3: I kind of got thrown off.
- 0:13Speaker 4: Writing the text.
- 0:14Speaker 5: But I was trying to figure out. She said that.
- 0:16Speaker 6: She makes a seven-layer dip every weekend.
- 0:20Speaker 4: So why is she making it?
- 0:21Speaker 3: It sounds like she already knows what she's walking into.
- 0:24Speaker 7: And she's just trying to make a quick buck by
- 0:27Speaker 7: sending out the invoices.
- 0:29Speaker 4: That's just my thought.
- 0:31Speaker 1: That's interesting.
- 0:32Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Like, why would you make it if you didn't want them.
- 0:34Speaker 4: To eat it?
- 0:36Speaker 1: Yes, exactly.
- 0:37Speaker 8: Right.
- 0:38Speaker 6: So that's my thing is like they're eating all her food,
- 0:40Speaker 6: but she's making it and I'm not understanding for what
- 0:43Speaker 6: for them it sounds like to me.
- 0:44Speaker 4: Valid.
- 0:45Speaker 5: So, yeah, I'm not really too sure what the end
- 0:48Speaker 5: result was.
- 0:49Speaker 3: I know compromises in there.
- 0:51Speaker 6: But again, she didn't have to.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Do that part. It would have been great if you
- 0:54Speaker 1: called 10 minutes ago. We could have put you on
- 0:56Speaker 1: the phone with him.
- 0:56Speaker 9: I know, I was trying to.
- 0:58Speaker 6: Well, you guys were talking and I was, yeah, you
- 1:00Speaker 6: guys were talking and I was going ahead and texting.
- 1:02Speaker 2: So it just happened that way.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Well, thanks for listening.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Yeah, thank you.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Have a great day.
- 1:08Speaker 9: He should file for an appeal.
- 1:11Speaker 1: We're going to get into who has had a job
- 1:15Speaker 1: for the least amount of time.
- 1:17Speaker 10: 877-937-7000.
- 1:17Speaker 1: 104.7. We got tickets to Wicked Well. We got tickets
- 1:22Speaker 1: to Public Enemy for you. Who's had a job this
- 1:24Speaker 1: short amount of time? And I say that because I
- 1:26Speaker 1: saw on the news like last week that the White
- 1:29Speaker 1: House hired a new press secretary. And then I saw
- 1:31Speaker 1: that she's gone already.
- 1:32Speaker 9: Five days.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Five days. And I so don't understand and don't need
- 1:36Speaker 1: to get into it.
- 1:37Speaker 9: Yeah, it doesn't matter.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Not for us. I'm just so curious, too. It's five days.
- 1:41Speaker 4: Wow.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Five days. And I mean, it's not like she had
- 1:44Speaker 1: a job at Wendy's. It's a big one.
- 1:47Speaker 9: And I assume she relocated her family to do that.
- 1:50Speaker 1: I had a friend of mine, he took a job
- 1:52Speaker 1: in radio at a Dallas radio station. He loaded up
- 1:55Speaker 1: his U-Haul, loaded with everything, moved, moved into an apartment
- 1:59Speaker 1: and then got fired a week later.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 2:02Speaker 9: That would be rough.
- 2:03Speaker 1: He says, he jokes and says he took a vacation
- 2:05Speaker 1: with furniture.
- 2:07Speaker 2: I feel like a lot of like professional athletes run
- 2:10Speaker 2: into situations like that where they get signed to a
- 2:12Speaker 2: team and then maybe get dropped or whatever a week
- 2:15Speaker 2: or so later. And they pack up their wife, their kids, everyone.
- 2:19Speaker 9: I'm like, that sucks. Yeah, it does.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Christopher, good morning.
- 2:23Speaker 10: Morning.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Did you have a job for a short amount of time?
- 2:28Speaker 4: I did. I worked at a jack-in-the-box for like maybe
- 2:32Speaker 4: 20 minutes.
- 2:33Speaker 9: That's really short. What happened? Maybe 20 minutes.
- 2:37Speaker 4: Well, I went in and they said, okay, you're going
- 2:41Speaker 4: to clean the grease traps. And I was like, okay.
- 2:45Speaker 4: And then they gave me like one of those little porters.
- 2:48Speaker 4: And they said, go out and sweep the parking lot.
- 2:51Speaker 4: And I was just like, yeah, that's, that's not going
- 2:54Speaker 4: to happen. So I just like went out, left the
- 2:57Speaker 4: porter in the parking lot and just kept walking.
- 3:01Speaker 1: All right. So that was 20 minutes. Now I'm, I'm
- 3:04Speaker 1: wondering what do you, what do you do now?
- 3:05Speaker 9: Like what's your, what's your gig now?
- 3:08Speaker 4: Uh, I was working with the Arizona office of tourism.
- 3:14Speaker 8: Um, What's going on there?
- 3:15Speaker 1: What's going on with tourism in Arizona? Where do you
- 3:18Speaker 1: tell people to go? Grand Canyon?
- 3:20Speaker 4: Yeah. Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, Tombstone.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Antelope Canyon.
- 3:28Speaker 4: Surprisingly, what I have to tell people, and this is
- 3:31Speaker 4: really weird, is if they go to the reservation, not
- 3:35Speaker 4: to walk into people's houses without asking or being invited in.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Hmm. I think that would be like the obvious thing
- 3:42Speaker 2: to do.
- 3:42Speaker 9: Is that like a common mistake people are making? What's
- 3:45Speaker 9: going on there?
- 3:46Speaker 2: Why are people walking into houses uninvited?
- 3:48Speaker 4: I don't know. You know, the doors are open and
- 3:51Speaker 4: they just kind of, oh, I'm going in, I'm taking pictures.
- 3:54Speaker 1: What?
- 3:55Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Interesting. That's bizarre.
- 3:58Speaker 8: Yep.
- 3:59Speaker 2: Stop doing that if you're doing that.
- 4:01Speaker 9: You said you were doing that, but you're not doing
- 4:03Speaker 9: anything now, just hanging out?
- 4:05Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah. I had an operation on my shoulder. Hope
- 4:11Speaker 4: you heal up. Yes, thank you.
- 4:14Speaker 1: All right, Christopher, thanks for calling in. Melissa, we're looking
- 4:17Speaker 1: to see who's had the shortest job ever. And 877-937-1047,
- 4:21Speaker 1: what was yours? Melissa?
- 4:27Speaker 8: Oh, hi.
- 4:28Speaker 6: I worked at McDonald's for three days.
- 4:31Speaker 11: It won't be 20 minutes, but three days.
- 4:33Speaker 12: But I was on their payroll for a month, even
- 4:35Speaker 12: though I didn't work.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Did you quit?
- 4:39Speaker 4: Well, I went on.
- 4:39Speaker 12: Vacation with my parents at the time, and I stepped
- 4:42Speaker 12: on a nail, and I came back, and I couldn't walk.
- 4:44Speaker 4: So that was my excuse. So I kind of quit.
- 4:48Speaker 1: But I was on the payroll.
- 4:49Speaker 8: For a month.
- 4:50Speaker 1: You mean like you kept getting paid?
- 4:53Speaker 9: No, well, it's McDonald's.
- 4:55Speaker 1: You don't get paid if you don't get work.
- 4:57Speaker 9: Oh, so you're on the payroll. You just didn't clock in.
- 4:59Speaker 9: So you didn't get paid.
- 5:01Speaker 11: Exactly.
- 5:01Speaker 8: Gotcha.
- 5:01Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 5:01Speaker 9: All right.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Well, thank you, Melissa.
- 5:06Speaker 11: Thank you.
- 5:06Speaker 9: 20 minutes is our record, though, so far. That's pretty strong.
- 5:09Speaker 2: It's impressive.
- 5:09Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah.
- 5:10Speaker 1: 877-9- Oh, Dylan. Yes, Dylan.
- 5:14Speaker 3: I worked at, Rails is not my first retail escapade, actually.
- 5:17Speaker 3: I worked at Anthropologie for one shift, fun fact.
- 5:21Speaker 1: When was that?
- 5:22Speaker 3: So it was senior year of college. My friend got
- 5:25Speaker 3: me the job, and I didn't realize it was seasonal.
- 5:27Speaker 3: So I went in for one shift, and then they
- 5:29Speaker 3: were like, can you work on Christmas Day? And I
- 5:30Speaker 3: was like, wait, no, I can't. And they were like, okay, well,
- 5:32Speaker 3: we don't need you anymore.
- 5:33Speaker 9: Got fired on the first day.
- 5:37Speaker 3: I did, but it was fun. It was a fun
- 5:39Speaker 3: one day.
- 5:40Speaker 9: I'm surprised they are open on Christmas Day.
- 5:42Speaker 2: I know, the mall?
- 5:43Speaker 3: They want to get, you know, all the dollars they.
- 5:46Speaker 8: Can, I guess.
- 5:46Speaker 9: All the returns, maybe.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Well, no, you think about the people that don't celebrate Christmas.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:51Speaker 1: They want to shop, too.
- 5:52Speaker 13: Or the people that get gift cards in the morning
- 5:54Speaker 13: and then want to go out.
- 5:54Speaker 1: And buy them. Dillon, you want to go see Public Enemy? Oh,
- 5:59Speaker 1: my God, I would love to. That's a pretty good
- 6:00Speaker 1: one right there. That's a good call. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Anyway,
- 6:03Speaker 1: Love Pup Family Fest is set November 7th. It's at
- 6:07Speaker 1: Vertuccio Farms in Mesa, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. A
- 6:10Speaker 1: free show with Gavin DeGraw live in concert. Gavin DeGraw live.
- 6:13Speaker 1: He's touring in Europe right now, and he's flying all
- 6:16Speaker 1: the way back to do Family Fest. 4 p.m. You
- 6:20Speaker 1: also got America's Got Talent runner-up, Gino Plegger. The guy's
- 6:25Speaker 1: a magician, and he's unbelievable. You also have the Rich
- 6:27Speaker 1: Bear Band performing. It's the biggest dog rescue event in
- 6:30Speaker 1: the Valley with over 20-plus dog rescues. Bring your friends.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Bring your dogs. Bring your family. Admission is free. We
- 6:37Speaker 1: ask that you bring a dog rescue donation, leashes, puppy pads,
- 6:40Speaker 1: dog food, etc. We're going to have food trucks, vendors, KidZone,
- 6:43Speaker 1: and more. It's November 7th at 4 p.m. By the way,
- 6:46Speaker 1: speaking of Arizona tourism, I was at the, and this
- 6:50Speaker 1: blows my mind, I'm only, it was six months ago
- 6:54Speaker 1: where I discovered the Phoenix Raceway. I had no idea
- 6:57Speaker 1: it was here. It's been here since 1963. And I
- 7:00Speaker 1: took my kids yesterday to the NASCAR race. And it's
- 7:02Speaker 1: such a great thing when you're in Avondale and you're
- 7:04Speaker 1: driving on that one road and then you see it
- 7:06Speaker 1: for the first time and you're like.
- 7:07Speaker 9: What the hell?
- 7:09Speaker 1: It's been here since the 60s. And all three of
- 7:12Speaker 1: my kids are like, what? And it's unbelievable.
- 7:14Speaker 13: There was like a huge news story that happened. I
- 7:16Speaker 13: guess there was some people who paid for one of
- 7:18Speaker 13: the suites there. And one of the pipes broke, like
- 7:21Speaker 13: the pipes for the bathroom.
- 7:23Speaker 9: And they got like sprayed. Oh, no. Party experience.
- 7:27Speaker 13: Obviously, Phoenix Raceway fixed it right away. But that's, you know.
- 7:31Speaker 13: You just never know what you're going to get.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Dude, they had Billy Ray Cyrus there performing, and he
- 7:36Speaker 1: started at 10, 10 a.m. There's stuff going on the
- 7:39Speaker 1: whole time. There's thousands and thousands of people there at
- 7:42Speaker 1: 10 a.m.
- 7:42Speaker 9: It's quite the experience.
- 7:43Speaker 1: And Miley performed at the Hollywood Bowl on Saturday night.
- 7:46Speaker 2: That looked so epic.
- 7:47Speaker 1: But get this. She was there last night. She was
- 7:49Speaker 1: there yesterday.
- 7:50Speaker 8: No way.
- 7:50Speaker 1: She was backstage with Billy Ray Cyrus.
- 7:51Speaker 9: That's cool.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Woo! I know. Finally! I wanted to go, because, you know,
- 7:55Speaker 1: whenever you heard about the fights between them, I wanted
- 7:57Speaker 1: to go and kind of, like, see them, but I
- 7:59Speaker 1: got there too late.
- 7:59Speaker 2: I do love, though, that, like, with all the issues
- 8:02Speaker 2: that have gone on in the Cyrus family, they have
- 8:04Speaker 2: always found their way back to each other. And that's
- 8:06Speaker 2: just families. We all have them, you know? Yep.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Charles, you have a short job?
- 8:13Speaker 2: Charles?
- 8:13Speaker 11: Time ever.
- 8:14Speaker 8: What?
- 8:15Speaker 2: Hello?
- 8:15Speaker 1: Start over.
- 8:16Speaker 11: Go ahead. I think I have the shortest job time ever.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Okay.
- 8:20Speaker 11: I actually... Did security. And so I drove all the
- 8:24Speaker 11: way to a site, which my site supervisor then told me,
- 8:29Speaker 11: you are 40 miles from anything. And all I had
- 8:32Speaker 11: to do was guard an open electric box. And as
- 8:35Speaker 11: soon as he told me, I was there for like
- 8:37Speaker 11: two minutes and then I went home because I was
- 8:39Speaker 11: not doing that.
- 8:40Speaker 9: You didn't want to guard an electric box?
- 8:43Speaker 11: No, in the middle of the night, absolutely not. There
- 8:45Speaker 11: were no lights around me. There was nothing for 40 miles,
- 8:49Speaker 11: and I was not going to sit there by myself
- 8:51Speaker 11: for 12 hours.
- 8:51Speaker 9: Well, I mean, it does sound like a pretty easy gig.
- 8:54Speaker 9: How many people are going to attack an electric box
- 8:56Speaker 9: in the middle of nowhere?
- 8:57Speaker 2: Or going to attack the guard and axe murderer who's.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Just waiting for his next victim? Maybe there's people that.
- 9:02Speaker 11: Want that box.
- 9:03Speaker 1: I'm with you.
- 9:04Speaker 11: There were coyotes and scorpions and rattlesnakes, and people were
- 9:09Speaker 11: known for... getting dragged off by coyotes yeah people.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Got dragged off yeah people were dragged off by coyotes
- 9:17Speaker 1: good people yeah okay well.
- 9:20Speaker 13: I guess i'd probably only want to be there for two.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Minutes i'm not judging you i think that's fine two
- 9:24Speaker 1: minutes i don't want to be in the dark i'm
- 9:26Speaker 1: with you brother hold on courtney courtney good morning how
- 9:30Speaker 1: long did you have a job for.
- 9:31Speaker 14: Um good morning guys i love you so much um
- 9:35Speaker 14: this is back in like I don't know, 2004, 2005,
- 9:38Speaker 14: I worked at EG's in Tucson up on Oracle.
- 9:40Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 9:42Speaker 14: First day, this is back when, you know, they didn't
- 9:44Speaker 14: have the prepackaged ranch. So it's my first day going
- 9:47Speaker 14: in and they made me put ranch in the little
- 9:50Speaker 14: containers for four whole hours. And I was like, I
- 9:53Speaker 14: am not doing this again.
- 9:55Speaker 9: Right off McGee, Oracle of McGee that's where the EGs is.
- 9:58Speaker 14: Right yes yes I know it very well yeah all.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Right Courtney public enemy tickets for.
- 10:04Speaker 14: You sure or wicked ball thank you so much.
- 10:08Speaker 1: You want wicked ball or public enemy we got them both.
- 10:11Speaker 14: Um public enemy all right hold on my.
- 10:14Speaker 1: High school reunion is the same night as public enemy
- 10:16Speaker 1: and two of my best friends like we're going to
- 10:17Speaker 1: public enemy I bet mean i bet i could guess
- 10:20Speaker 1: who would like which friends yeah haven good morning.
- 10:26Speaker 5: Haven oh yes hi so i think i have the
- 10:30Speaker 5: shortest job ever um like a couple of years ago
- 10:33Speaker 5: amazon was doing like a promotion for like a bonus
- 10:38Speaker 5: so if you worked there for three months you got
- 10:39Speaker 5: like a thousand dollars or something like that well i
- 10:42Speaker 5: signed up and i went to like the orientation and whatnot,
- 10:46Speaker 5: but I never actually worked a shift and still ended
- 10:49Speaker 5: up getting like $ 600 from the first portion of the bonus.
- 10:53Speaker 9: So just the orientation. That's all you attended.
- 10:56Speaker 12: Yep.
- 10:57Speaker 1: The work at all.
- 10:58Speaker 5: I don't know how, but they did.
- 11:01Speaker 13: It doesn't really sound like a good business model for them.
- 11:04Speaker 8: All right.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Thanks Haven. Thanks for calling in. Uh, we need a
- 11:07Speaker 1: contestant for a minute to win it.
- 11:11Speaker 10: 877-937-1047.
- 11:11Speaker 1: We've got a thousand dollars of Pat Hickey's money. So
- 11:15Speaker 1: I saw that they, what website is this? Rank.com dropped
- 11:19Speaker 1: the scariest Halloween movies this year so far. So far.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Back Rooms is number 14. My son just told me
- 11:29Speaker 1: yesterday he thought that movie was terrifying. A movie called
- 11:31Speaker 1: Exit 8. Then Marama. Faces of Death was number 11.
- 11:37Speaker 1: 28 Years Later, The Bone Temple was number 10. Leviticus
- 11:42Speaker 1: is 9. They Will Kill You is eight.
- 11:45Speaker 9: That doesn't sound good. They Will Kill You.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Apophiniacs was seven. Her Private Hell is number six. Resident
- 11:54Speaker 1: Evil is number five. Touch Me is number four. Hocum,
- 11:59Speaker 1: number three. Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Missima is
- 12:04Speaker 1: number two. And the number one I keep hearing over
- 12:07Speaker 1: and over and over again is Obsession. It's the scariest
- 12:10Speaker 1: movie of 2026.
- 12:11Speaker 9: I liked it.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Now you might watch it And be like, it's not
- 12:15Speaker 1: that scary, but if you really truly do watch it,
- 12:18Speaker 1: you will be screaming your face off. Peyton made me
- 12:20Speaker 1: watch it and I'm still mad at her.
- 12:22Speaker 2: I didn't find it that scary.
- 12:26Speaker 9: Maybe I just dated too many people like that.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Yeah. But I don't know. Right now, like right around
- 12:30Speaker 2: Halloween time, I'm always into watching the scary movies and stuff.
- 12:33Speaker 2: And the new Crystal Lake show came out. And I
- 12:36Speaker 2: was watching, and it stars Linda Cardelli, and she plays, like,
- 12:40Speaker 2: Pam Voorhees, Jason's mom. And I'm watching it, and I'm like,
- 12:43Speaker 2: there is not enough slashing in this slasher movie for me.
- 12:47Speaker 2: You need to see more people die. I need more people.
- 12:50Speaker 2: I need more blood splatter. I need more stuff. Like,
- 12:52Speaker 2: if I'm watching a scary movie, I want to watch
- 12:54Speaker 2: a scary movie.
- 12:54Speaker 1: You know what? I had a couple people message me
- 12:56Speaker 1: saying it was really good.
- 12:56Speaker 2: It's pretty good so far, but it is a little
- 12:58Speaker 2: slow moving for me.
- 12:59Speaker 8: I'm about.
- 13:00Speaker 2: I'm, like, halfway into the third episode, and they're about
- 13:03Speaker 2: 45 to 50 minutes long. And I just, it's like
- 13:06Speaker 2: you side with Jason. You feel the empathy for them.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Because he's bullied or something?
- 13:11Speaker 2: He's bullied. And Pam, you know, she's just a mother
- 13:14Speaker 2: who just, like, wants her child. And they're reopening Crystal Lake,
- 13:17Speaker 2: but they haven't found Jason's body yet. And so she, like,
- 13:20Speaker 2: is trying to go and get vengeance on everyone who
- 13:22Speaker 2: did her kid wrong.
- 13:23Speaker 1: So it's a prequel, right?
- 13:24Speaker 8: Yes.
- 13:25Speaker 1: So if I remember the movie, and I only saw
- 13:26Speaker 1: it one time, and it was the biggest mistake of
- 13:28Speaker 1: my life. But you find out at the end of
- 13:31Speaker 1: Friday the 13th that's the mom, the killer. And it's
- 13:33Speaker 1: because Jason drowned or died or something like that, right?
- 13:36Speaker 1: So this takes you up to that.
- 13:37Speaker 10: Yes.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Or he's already drowned.
- 13:39Speaker 2: It starts off with Jason's drowning.
- 13:41Speaker 1: And then they go, and then they show you him
- 13:42Speaker 1: getting bullied. So then she starts, at some point, she
- 13:46Speaker 1: starts killing people.
- 13:47Speaker 2: And she's killed a couple people, but not enough.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Has she killed Kevin Bacon yet?
- 13:51Speaker 9: No.
- 13:51Speaker 2: I don't think so.
- 13:52Speaker 9: Oh, yeah, he was in that first one, wasn't he?
- 13:53Speaker 1: Kevin Bacon was the first person killed in the first
- 13:55Speaker 1: Rite of the Day movie. He wasn't even famous yet.
- 13:58Speaker 1: And I remember traumatically, he was in the bottom bunk.
- 14:00Speaker 1: He's laying down in the bottom bunk, and the knife
- 14:02Speaker 1: comes from underneath the bunk, and they hold his head down,
- 14:05Speaker 1: and then the knife goes.
- 14:06Speaker 8: Through his throat.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Yeah, they're pretty gruesome murders, for sure.
- 14:10Speaker 9: And you're rooting for Linda Cardinelli to just kill more people?
- 14:13Speaker 2: Yeah, because, yeah.
- 14:13Speaker 1: You don't want people to meet your son.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's like you feel really bad for him
- 14:16Speaker 2: because he really is just a sweet kid who just
- 14:18Speaker 2: is different.
- 14:20Speaker 1: That's so sad.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Carly, good morning. How are you?
- 14:25Speaker 6: Good morning.
- 14:26Speaker 12: I'm great.
- 14:26Speaker 8: How are you?
- 14:27Speaker 1: You are our contestant for Minute to Win It to

- 14:35Speaker 1: fact about yourself, Carly.

- 14:47Speaker 1: That's so sweet. Come on.
- 14:48Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 14:49Speaker 6: And then, also, we were just, I was getting ready
- 14:52Speaker 6: to call you guys about the job thing because I
- 14:55Speaker 6: was telling my kids that I used to have a
- 14:57Speaker 6: job at a plastic factory, and I went in, and
- 15:00Speaker 6: it was my first day, and someone stole my lunch,
- 15:02Speaker 6: so at lunchtime, I left and never came back.
- 15:05Speaker 9: You're like, this place is a bunch of lunch dealers.
- 15:07Speaker 10: I'm out.
- 15:07Speaker 1: All right, well, let's go.
- 15:09Speaker 15: Yeah, it was hot.
- 15:10Speaker 5: There was no air.
- 15:11Speaker 6: It was hot and horrible, and I didn't have any food.
- 15:13Speaker 1: You got a minute to win $ 1, 000. Let's do it.
- 15:16Speaker 13: John Jay and Rich have $ 1, 000 cash for you from

- 15:22Speaker 9: Okay, 60 seconds on the clock. Let's get you $ 1, 000.
- 15:25Speaker 9: Get them all right. No skips. Here we go. What
- 15:28Speaker 9: candy is famous for the slogan, melts in your mouth,
- 15:30Speaker 9: not in your hands?
- 15:33Speaker 6: M & M' s.
- 15:34Speaker 1: What famous magician and escape artist died on Halloween in 1926? Oh,
- 15:38Speaker 1: my gosh.
- 15:45Speaker 10: Harry Houdini.
- 15:47Speaker 1: What baseball team did the Milwaukee Brewers sweep to advance
- 15:50Speaker 1: to the 2026 World Series?
- 15:55Speaker 10: Oh, no.
- 15:56Speaker 9: Just happened.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Oh, gosh.
- 16:01Speaker 4: I have no idea.
- 16:02Speaker 6: My gosh.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Who was it?
- 16:06Speaker 13: Name it.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Name it.
- 16:06Speaker 8: Braylon would know.
- 16:08Speaker 15: I don't know.
- 16:11Speaker 8: The Dodgers.
- 16:12Speaker 9: You got it right. Arachnophobia is the fear of what?
- 16:16Speaker 9: Let's keep going.
- 16:18Speaker 1: What was the word?
- 16:19Speaker 9: Arachnophobia is the fear of what?
- 16:22Speaker 7: Spiders.
- 16:23Speaker 9: What rock band is best known for the hit song Mr. Brightside?
- 16:27Speaker 2: She did say The Killers at the end, though, but
- 16:38Speaker 2: right out of time.
- 16:41Speaker 9: You got five right. Just took you a little while
- 16:43Speaker 9: to get the Dodgers question.
- 16:44Speaker 1: I would have got that right.
- 16:45Speaker 3: I didn't even know what I guessed.
- 16:47Speaker 15: Oh, man.
- 16:48Speaker 1: I would not have got that right.
- 16:49Speaker 5: At least I got it.
- 16:50Speaker 6: I feel good about that.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Carly, we're going to set you up with Del Taco
- 16:52Speaker 1: gift card. Thanks for listening, and you are a great mom.
- 16:57Speaker 13: Awesome.
- 16:57Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Thank you, guys. Yeah, I didn't know the lead singer
- 17:01Speaker 1: of The Killers. His name was Brock.
- 17:03Speaker 2: I know.
- 17:03Speaker 10: Rich.
- 17:05Speaker 1: You said that?
- 17:05Speaker 2: You said Brock Band.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Brock Band.
- 17:07Speaker 9: Oh, I didn't say Rock Band?
- 17:08Speaker 1: You said Brock.
- 17:09Speaker 9: It's funny.
- 17:10Speaker 1: It's like, oh, all the people in that band name
- 17:12Speaker 1: are Brock.
- 17:12Speaker 9: Listen, I have large teeth. Sometimes they get in the
- 17:14Speaker 9: way of the words. It happens.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Hey, Bree, you had a job for a short amount
- 17:19Speaker 1: of time. We're talking about the press secretary only had
- 17:21Speaker 1: a job for five days. Who had a shorter job
- 17:23Speaker 1: time than that? What's yours?
- 17:26Speaker 16: I worked at Great Clips for four days. I just
- 17:29Speaker 16: graduated cosmetology school, and they just basically were like, all right,
- 17:33Speaker 16: go cut hair. And I was I didn't really know
- 17:35Speaker 16: how to cut hair that well because I was practicing
- 17:37Speaker 16: on mannequins. And so I just kept ruining people's hair.
- 17:40Speaker 16: And they're like, it's fine.
- 17:41Speaker 5: You just learn while practicing.
- 17:43Speaker 16: And it freaked me out. And so I never went back.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Do you cut hair now?
- 17:51Speaker 16: No, I actually work in the ER now.
- 17:54Speaker 1: What? You're working on the people who you cut? Yeah.
- 17:59Speaker 1: What do you do in the ER room? Are you
- 18:01Speaker 1: a nurse, doctor?
- 18:03Speaker 13: I'm a tech.
- 18:04Speaker 16: So I do, like, I help with the nurses and
- 18:07Speaker 16: the doctors and stuff like that.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Right on, Bree. Well, I'm glad you called in. Thanks
- 18:10Speaker 1: for listening.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:11Speaker 8: Thank you.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Hi, Erica.
- 18:14Speaker 10: Hi.
- 18:15Speaker 13: Hi.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Did you have a job for a short amount of time?
- 18:19Speaker 10: I do.
- 18:20Speaker 15: I did.
- 18:21Speaker 13: It was awful.
- 18:23Speaker 12: My worst and shortest job ever was at Deluxe Carpet
- 18:27Speaker 12: and Air Debt Cleaning. And I had a highlighter and
- 18:32Speaker 12: a white pages directory. And they said, welcome to the job.
- 18:37Speaker 12: Go ahead and start with the letter F. And I
- 18:40Speaker 12: just had to call.
- 18:41Speaker 5: Like, hello, I'm.
- 18:41Speaker 12: Erica with Deluxe Carpet and Air Deck Cleaning.
- 18:43Speaker 1: It was terrible.
- 18:45Speaker 12: And I just had to go one phone number at
- 18:48Speaker 12: a time. Just use my highlighter and cross off who
- 18:50Speaker 12: I had already called.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Just called random people out of the book to ask
- 18:54Speaker 1: them to sign up with Deluxe Carpeting?
- 18:58Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 18:58Speaker 12: I was like, would you like your carpet cleaned or
- 19:00Speaker 12: your air decks cleaned? The dude walked around with like
- 19:03Speaker 12: five and ten dollar bills in his back pocket and
- 19:06Speaker 12: he like make sure that they poked through so that
- 19:08Speaker 12: we could see them. And they're like, if you get
- 19:10Speaker 12: a booking, I'm going to instantly give you five dollars.
- 19:13Speaker 12: So you're not making seven dollars an hour. You're making twelve.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Are they still around?
- 19:21Speaker 8: Oh, no, no.
- 19:22Speaker 12: It was like this tiny little hole-in-the-wall place in Mesa
- 19:25Speaker 12: where I grew up.
- 19:26Speaker 9: That's direct marketing.
- 19:27Speaker 4: Yeah, well, it's cold calling.
- 19:29Speaker 2: There's a ton of those sales things like that. Yeah,
- 19:32Speaker 2: and they're brutal.
- 19:33Speaker 12: With the white pages. It was just a phone, a highlighter,
- 19:36Speaker 12: a cubicle, and the white pages.
- 19:38Speaker 1: That's it. Jessica, you started at F. That means other
- 19:40Speaker 1: people had got all the way through to F, calling
- 19:42Speaker 1: every single name.
- 19:43Speaker 2: In that book.
- 19:44Speaker 11: Yeah, I know.
- 19:45Speaker 14: And there were people making good money.
- 19:47Speaker 12: There were some big ballers that got 20.
- 19:49Speaker 8: Really? Really?
- 19:50Speaker 9: Had a high closing rate? That's pretty impressive.
- 19:54Speaker 7: It was awful.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Well, thanks, Erica.
- 19:57Speaker 12: It lasted five days.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Thanks for calling in five days. Thank you. Katie, what
- 20:03Speaker 1: was your shortest job?
- 20:04Speaker 8: Hi. Hi.
- 20:06Speaker 7: Well, not me, but my husband had a job at
- 20:11Speaker 7: the IRS last year for a single day. And then
- 20:19Speaker 7: they laid off, like, I think 10,000 people.
- 20:23Speaker 13: And then fired him a day later?
- 20:25Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 20:28Speaker 9: Was that part of the Doge thing where it's like,
- 20:29Speaker 9: we don't need all those people?
- 20:30Speaker 1: Doja.
- 20:31Speaker 7: I'm not sure.
- 20:35Speaker 9: That's wild.
- 20:35Speaker 1: So what's he doing now? What does he do now?
- 20:37Speaker 7: He, he now works at Dutch Bros corporate office.
- 20:41Speaker 9: Nice.
- 20:42Speaker 13: I'm glad he bounced back.
- 20:43Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 20:44Speaker 1: You know what?
- 20:45Speaker 4: He loves it.
- 20:45Speaker 8: So that's good.
- 20:46Speaker 1: I went to Dutch Brothers on Saturday. We had this
- 20:49Speaker 1: love pup event, right? Uh, the cars and canines event.
- 20:52Speaker 1: And it's turned into, it's the ninth annual and it's
- 20:54Speaker 1: turned into a little tradition for me where, uh, As
- 20:55Speaker 1: soon as I get there, I leave. And I go right,
- 20:59Speaker 1: I walk to the Starbucks. And freaking Starbucks is out
- 21:02Speaker 1: of business. It's gone.
- 21:03Speaker 13: It is?
- 21:04Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 21:04Speaker 1: In fact, you've been to that Starbucks with me. And
- 21:06Speaker 1: I'm walking up there all excited to go to Starbucks.
- 21:08Speaker 1: And I'm like, oh, my God, it's gone. What am
- 21:09Speaker 1: I going to do? And I look next door. There's
- 21:11Speaker 1: Dutch Bros. So I went and I got a Dutch
- 21:14Speaker 1: Bros cold brew. And you know what? It was really good.
- 21:16Speaker 1: And the guy working the counter was so friendly. And
- 21:19Speaker 1: I was like, that's why you guys are the way
- 21:21Speaker 1: you guys are.
- 21:22Speaker 9: You got like a bazillion locations now.
- 21:23Speaker 2: You have to like mentally prepare, though, when you go
- 21:26Speaker 2: through a Dutch Bros drive-thru. Like if you are not.
- 21:28Speaker 1: I walked up.
- 21:29Speaker 9: You better have plans. Don't go to Dutch Bros. You
- 21:32Speaker 9: better have plans.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Tell your husband.
- 21:34Speaker 8: Tell your husband.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Congratulations. I'm a big fan of Dutch Bros.
- 21:37Speaker 10: I will.
- 21:37Speaker 1: All right. Ask him to send me one of those
- 21:39Speaker 1: Dutch dad hats. Because my son's name is Dutch. I
- 21:42Speaker 1: even told the guy, I go, hey, my son's name.
- 21:43Speaker 1: He's where I had said Dutch. I go, my son's
- 21:45Speaker 1: name is Dutch. He goes, that's really cool. I go, thanks, man.
- 21:48Speaker 8: Plans?
- 21:48Speaker 9: You got any plans today?
- 21:49Speaker 1: I'm just trying to stall so I don't have to
- 21:51Speaker 1: go back to that event. What's going on here?
- 21:53Speaker 9: Yeah, I found John Jay at the event hiding in
- 21:55Speaker 9: a trailer.
- 21:57Speaker 1: You know what happened?
- 21:58Speaker 8: Or a bus.
- 21:59Speaker 1: There's a video I posted on my stories of Rich
- 22:02Speaker 1: getting to the event. And I'm hiding in this trailer,
- 22:05Speaker 1: and I see him talking to Blake. And I'm like, ugh.
- 22:07Speaker 1: And I see him looking for me. And he comes
- 22:09Speaker 1: into the trailer, and you dropped an F-bomb. And I
- 22:12Speaker 1: have so many comments from people, they can't believe you cussed. Well,
- 22:17Speaker 1: I was on about 30 minutes of sleep. I was like,
- 22:19Speaker 1: I mean, it's pretty ridiculous. They're like, it's like hearing
- 22:22Speaker 1: a teacher cuss. I was like, wow. And then I thought,
- 22:25Speaker 1: I wonder if I should post this and make it
- 22:26Speaker 1: a big deal that it's cussed, because you just dropped
- 22:28Speaker 1: this F-bomb out of nowhere.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Was it aggressive or friendly?
- 22:31Speaker 1: He goes, I think he goes... been walking over this
- 22:34Speaker 1: whole effing parking lot looking for you yeah it hurts
- 22:40Speaker 1: for me to walk ben your short job go ahead
- 22:43Speaker 1: what you got.
- 22:45Speaker 8: Yes so i was 19 years old they put me
- 22:49Speaker 8: in front of a desk at a land surveying company
- 22:51Speaker 8: and said put a bunch of information in front of
- 22:54Speaker 8: a computer into the computer and i started the day
- 22:58Speaker 8: off at seven o'clock And this is when I found
- 23:01Speaker 8: out I can't work with computers. I was falling asleep
- 23:04Speaker 8: every 10 minutes. And so the boss came up to
- 23:09Speaker 8: me at 9 o'clock and said, Hey, man, if you
- 23:12Speaker 8: want to go to lunch early, you can. And if
- 23:14Speaker 8: you don't want to come back, you don't have to.
- 23:18Speaker 10: Ouch.
- 23:20Speaker 9: Sounds good, sir.
- 23:22Speaker 8: That's amazing. I will take lunch, and I didn't go back.
- 23:25Speaker 15: I couldn't stay awake.
- 23:27Speaker 9: At 9 o'clock in the morning, he's like, yeah, man,
- 23:30Speaker 9: you're done.
- 23:31Speaker 1: And now, do you have a job now that involves computers?
- 23:34Speaker 8: No, I'm a bartender for the last 20 years. All right.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Thanks, Ben. Thanks for calling in. TJ, shortest job, what
- 23:42Speaker 1: do you got?
- 23:44Speaker 15: Shortest job. I sold gift cards that you pay $ 20
- 23:48Speaker 15: for and then you get.
- 23:49Speaker 10: Like free rounds of golf or pizza or whatever. And
- 23:53Speaker 10: the first day was a trial day. And I remember
- 23:55Speaker 10: they told me to wear my best clothes because I
- 23:58Speaker 10: was going to work with their best customers or something
- 24:01Speaker 10: like that.
- 24:02Speaker 15: And they ended up dropping us off in a neighborhood.
- 24:05Speaker 15: And I walked all through the neighborhood. The day started
- 24:08Speaker 15: at 9 a.m. It finished at like 9 p.m.
- 24:13Speaker 10: And that was trial day.
- 24:14Speaker 8: So I never got paid for it.
- 24:16Speaker 10: And the second day I actually got the job.
- 24:18Speaker 15: And the second day I came back and I worked
- 24:21Speaker 15: all day and they gave me $ 30 and I never
- 24:24Speaker 15: went back.
- 24:24Speaker 1: All right, TJ. Thanks, brother.
- 24:27Speaker 8: Yeah.
